What is your opinion on Wincest?
thank you for asking. i hope you're ready for me to go very in-depth into my personal opinions about the ship and about the fandom, but if not:
TL;DR: take it or leave it, but you cannot deny that sam & dean do not act like normal siblings. because of this i think that i have some level of an objective view on it (or maybe not, idk). and most importantly, bullying is never okay. these are fictional characters
okay here we go ⬇️
if someone hates wincest they should block the tag/blog and move on, it's as simple as that. i myself had the tag blocked when i first started my rewatch. they are only embarrassing themselves by coming on here and crying about it. if fictional incest upsets you so much then i don't think this is the right show for you
jared and jensen have insane chemistry, they and the crew recognized it very quickly. so when you have two people with that much chemistry playing siblings their relationship will come across as very questionable and the audience will pick up on that. they didn't make it up out of nowhere. also, the cast and crew joke about the ship outside and within the show. it's not that serious
do i personally ship wincest? i guess technically i do. i follow a few wincest blogs, i've made a couple joke posts. but i never watch shows for shipping, i never watch shows just for hot people. power to those who do, though. i watch this show because i've never come across a more unique character than sam (reasons too long for this post). so the content i engage in/the blogs i follow are centered around sam and his and dean's canon dynamic, sometimes mixed with this hypothetical version of their relationship because i find it interesting to speculate on. because i do believe something more explicit than what was already shown could absolutely have fit into canon. and that's the only type that i find interesting, where they are not regular boyfriends but as they already are: brothers with a very fucked up and power imbalanced relationship. but i am not actively wearing shipping goggles when i'm watching
i understand that incest makes people uncomfortable. but the show was (originally) a gothic horror. taboo subjects, like incest, are a fundamental part of that genre. emotionally incestuous undertones were ingrained into the show from the beginning. sam & dean are not normal about each other. if you think that they act like regular siblings then i don't even know what to say. and even though the show shifted genres their codependency only intensified as it went on. many characters commented on their weirdly close relationship throughout the show
on that note, this taboo has been around literally forever. it's in literature, it's on tv, it's in porn. it will never not be a subject many people want to explore in fiction. on that note, i see a lot of people say that fictional incest ships will affect reality. i can promise that it will not all of a sudden make everyone want to start fucking their family members. and if someone believes this then i'd also expect them not ship other "problematic ships" (e.g., hannigram, a relationship between a murderous cannibal who physically and psychologically tortured the other person). sam & dean are serial killers but you don't see people saying that being okay with that in a fictional show makes someone a bad person
i can't say from personal observation (because i only joined tumblr in october last year) but i have seen many mentions that more people are becoming increasingly sensitive/engrossed in purity culture compared to fandom years ago and this is evident in how they behave on social media (i can at least corroborate that last part)
for example, seeing someone's sam & dean edit and freaking out in the comments about whether it's meant to be wincest or not before they reblog. or joining in bullying wincest shippers to fit in/appease other antis. or making a post about how disgusting wincest shippers are and directly tagging wincest. i don't know if this is something from the new generation or maybe something else but i will say that when i see people acting like this my immediate thought is that they are children who never learned social media etiquette
attacking and insulting anyone over any ship is extremely wrong and immature. going after people who worked on the show for not condemning a ship is wrong. i also see a lot of people say to wincest shippers that they are probably attracted to their own siblings. once again, these are fictional characters. if you feel comfortable saying that to a real person and without any shame then that says a lot about you. people ship things and explore subjects in fiction for different reasons and it does not mean that it is a one to one reflection of their morals
and lastly, maybe slightly unrelated, saying that wincest shippers have invaded tumblr, ao3, or now rednote is dumb. they were there first, they've been around since 2005. they made these platforms what they are today and they aren't going anywhere no matter how much others bully them
if you got this far then thank you for reading

Hi everyone. It's been a while—exactly a month since I last posted to this blog. How have you been?
A month isn't really all that long, but it's enough time to be able to look at everything that happened and understand it better. In the end, the whole situation (I've been calling it The Fuckening in my head) really didn't have anything to do with me. I was unlucky enough to run across someone willing to hurt anyone they could for attention, but also lucky enough that everyone who mattered to me in this fandom went to bat for me.
So I’ve decided to come back to this blog. I'll be posting about call of duty again as well as posting my writing. I also plan to blog about other fandoms (I’d already been doing it anyway); I've been getting back into rdr2, for example, and there's some writing I'd like to do for that.
There’s more context which I’ll put below the cut, but that’s the most important part of what I have to say; I often regret how long winded I can be, so the rest is just self indulgence if you can forgive it. I’ve thought a lot about this choice and I’m satisfied with my decision. I hope none of you will mind.
So, lol, things were not great outside of fandom stuff when it all kicked off, though I didn’t mention it publicly because we all know by now that asking for any sympathy when you’re the target of a mob is more likely to just get you raked over the coals harder. I’m still not entirely sure about talking about all of this, but I have a bad tendency to clam up when I really should be asking for support. So:
I mentioned briefly before the accusations started flying that I was dealing with bedbugs—turns out it was actually something else, but leading up to a doctor’s visit I was convinced I had an infestation, and I was stripping my bed every day to look for them. I had alarms set to wake me up twice a night to see if I could catch them, so I was not sleeping all that well. I couldn’t find anything, but I had no other explanation, and it was driving me fucking crazy. Post doctor visit it turns out I had a viral infection. No idea where I caught it, and nothing to do but wait it out. I had a massive, gnarly looking rash all over my body, and to add insult to injury I developed a fever that took me out for a whole weekend. (I’m recovered now but I have a nifty new scar on my hip from getting a biopsy.)
Next to that, I was having some PTSD flareups of my own. This was (mostly) unrelated to The Fuckening. Now, I understand that that might be hard to believe, given “Myka’s” claims, and I can’t make you believe me. Nor will I provide details to convince you, other than to say there were some things going on in my neighborhood that recalled a period of time in my life that was extremely unstable, and I found myself irrationally terrified to go home every day. For those of you who don’t experience the symptoms of PTSD, I think it’s appropriate to note that it isn’t just emotional turmoil; I, personally, experience physical pain in my entire body that lingers for hours, days, or even weeks after being triggered. (Everything regarding this, too, is fine now. I have a great therapist and a supportive family.)
All of this to say, I wasn’t exactly thinking rationally when I decided to leave this blog and fandom. And I regretted the decision almost instantly.
However, I didn’t want to let grief make any decisions for me, and also I was still VERY scared Myka was going to hunt down my personal information and either dox or harass me elsewhere. I think this fear was justified; it has happened to other writers in this fandom before.* So I decided to take some time to cool off and watch the situation develop without me.
I don’t think I need to get into the details—although if you’re interested in them, @fulltacs has been keeping track of the drama. Given the most recent development with the four obviously sock puppet blogs that popped up and immediately began stirring shit up again, I realized Myka probably would have done what she did with or without me. I just so happened to give her the ammunition she needed to do something REALLY big. It was pure bad luck.
(Also—and I’m sorry if this is just stirring the pot, but after everything they did to me I feel I deserve to make the accusation—I’ve suspected for a while that the two loudest blogs leading the witch hunt against me were far more involved in this farce than anyone has assumed. I have no proof and I do not want anyone to do anything about it on my behalf, leave them the fuck alone. But I will not forget the distress they caused me for a long fucking time, and the only way for me to let this go is to say my piece. So there. Done. Let that be the end of it.)
Having this hindsight, I feel comfortable coming back. I’m still very touched by everyone’s support, which in the end was louder than the harassment. I also think it’s important for people who care about fighting racism in any community not to run at the first sign of trouble, which I did, and I feel pretty sorry for.
That’s the gist of things. If you’ve read all of this, thank you for doing so!
*I was going to add a paragraph about halfmoth-halfman’s situation but decided against it. For one thing, she wants to be left alone, and for another, talking about the experiences of fans of color, particularly black fans, deserves its own post separate from my white experience, if I should even post about it at all.

Okay, BG3 fandom, I have had sweet thoughts and would like to share them; Companions reacting to Tavs hiding an injury until they couldn't keep it to themselves anymore/the companions put together that they're hurting. (Companions aren't romanced, but GETTING there)
Tooth rotting fluff in a text wall under the cut, enjoy
Tumblr media
Lae'zel -
Lae'zel is annoyed, but in the "Don't fight me when I'm trying to love you without saying it" kind of way. She'll say "This isn't battle strategic, there is no advantage this offers us" but the whole camp knows what she means while she aggressively dresses your wound and tells you to stop whining. If Tav wakes up in the middle of the night to find her guarding their tent like a loyal dog, they didn't see anything as far as she cares.
Shadowheart -
Similarly to Lae'zel, Shadowheart is a little annoyed, but Shadowheart can admit she's worried. "You should have told me. I'd have taken care of this immediately" She tells Tav, healing the wound with a small prayer. She makes them promise to say something in the future, even if only for her sake. "This journey has been treacherous. I'd like the one good thing that's come of it to survive with me"
Wyll -
"Promise me you're not going to make a habit of that" He insists, dressing your wounds with a tense expression. "I'd like you to flourish at my side. And I can't be certain you're doing that when you hide things like this." He admits, apparent worry in his voice, gentle movements, a warning for every touch. He's a hard man to feel uncomfortable around. Tav can practically feel the care radiating off him with every patient smile.
Karlach -
She gives Tav the least flack for keeping it to yourself. "Woah soldier, let's take a break and look at that, yeah?" She suggests, keeping the worry out of her voice quite well. She knows they're hiding it for a reason and tries not to make them feel worse for failing to hide it. She just tries to make Tav as comfortable as possible so they might feel at ease enough to tell her next time.
Gale -
The man basically mothers Tav through the healing process. Insists they're off their feet, won't budge on Tav resting and cleans their wounds and changes bandages around the clock. "As much peril as we are in every day, I'd like if you kept even the smaller injuries out in the open." He explains one night. "As small as any harm seems when compared to impending ilithid doom, it's still harm. Much more, it's harm we can fix. Harm I'd like to fix. Ah- assuming you'll let me"
Astarion -
Sounds inconvenienced, will not sit still while you're unwell. He'll hang around and poke fun but won't let them get up for anything. "I mean, how have you even managed that" he says, handing Tav fresh water. "I know you're clumsy, but surely you could have avoided that" he chuckles, handing you another book to draw in/read. "I'll remember this next time you say you have an idea" He rolls his eyes cutting up food and feeding them personally. Anyone asks? "Well, I can't just let them suffer can I? They'll never shut up"
Bonus! (Our older folks)
Halsin -
"That looks painful...you needn't be in pain you know, I can carry you quite easily" He offers. If Tav truly doesn't want help, he can't/won't make them, but he will hover and puppy-dog-eyes at them until they cave. The man will let Tav use him for warmth in the night while they recover and carry them to the pond to bathe as well. Really, Tav could ask anything of him, he'd do it in a heartbeat.
Jaheira -
"I don't even send Harpers out in that condition if I can help it. You'll sit and relax, yes?" She says. Not asks, because she's not asking. "I mean, what if this got infected, or started swelling? Would you just wait for death like a bird falling out of the sky?" She rolls her eyes playfully. She doesn't hesitate to ask for help on Tavs behalf either. "If they'd judge you for being hurt, they're not worthy allies...if they'd judge you for suffering in silence however, that makes them good friends"
Minsc -
"Boo says this should take care of your battle scars. You'll take it yes? When a hamster gives advice, it's bad luck not to take it" he smiles handing Tav whatever potion variant needed. He's overall jovial about it, casual and moves on quickly. Wether that's out of courtesy for Tavs pride or simply because he's a kind man with a hollow head, nobody can truly say.
Hope you enjoyed <3 (and Happy Holidays)

Hey, you know something that really bothers me from the Fnaf fandom? The way the general fandom and theorizers ignore the daycare attendant.
Like, it could be just me, but I've never seen anyone outside of the DCA sub fandom talk about them and it's so??? Am I the only one who thinks they're being set up to be kind of important??? Take the ruin dlc trailer for example. They could have chosen anything to be the miniature for the video. Hell, the ruin logo itself would have worked. But no, they chose to spoil the trailer itself by putting Eclipse on it, one of the only two characters the fandom is theorising that might be friendly and the only one that actually does a friendly gesture towards Cassie (I'm sorry, but I really didn't interpret Roxy's head tilting as her being non-agressive until other people started saying it and I still have many doubts about her being friendly in contrast to Eclipse when Sun is there too).
Also, the Daycare has a big presence in the trailer too??? It's where we first see the Vanny mask being used and the virtual reality thingy. They could have chosen anywhere to show us that, but it's specifically the daycare.
And that's not even counting all the strange things surrounding them in the main game, like hello???? Sun is literally the only animatronic in the whole fucking Pizzaplex that doesn't try to kill you and that can't even jumpscare you even though Moon apparently is affected by the Glitchtrap virus. How come Sun isn't aggressive while Moon is even though they share a body??? Shouldn't the both of them be infected????
Also, Moon is weirdly more... Self aware than other enemies in the Pizzaplex??? The others act all deranged and like they're not fully conscious of what they're doing, while Moon always stroke me as being fully aware of his own actions?? That might just be my impression tho.
And what's up with the endo daycare??? Why is that whole area Moon themed???? Not even Daycare Attendant themed, Sun is not present there at all, it's all Moon. Why Moon? Why not Sun or both??? Especially when supposedly the company only wanted Sun for the daycare and they just couldn't get rid of the light trigger. I don't know about you, but if I made a room dedicated to teaching robots how to take care of children, I'd have the iconography of the place to be about the actual animatronic I want to take care of children. It's so interesting and yet I've seen almost no one talk about it. Fnaf fandom you're missing out on a lot.
TL;DR: The general Fnaf fandom isn't paying enough attention to the Daycare Attendant even though I believe they might be setting them to be more important than we realize

random thought, would anyone like seeing a re-write of the Dream SMP??
more rambles below
it'll be entirely re-written, keeping as many characters possible, and weaving them all together into a consistant plot, which is both the SMP's great stregnth and weakness- everyone having their own side story, while yes, everyone ofc gets their own stories, but it'll all be woven into the main plot, if the story doesnt help, serve or explain the characters current past and present motivations and actions, it will be removed/ placed elsewhere.
I've been thinking about it for a long while, the Dream SMP has one of the most interesting plotlines i've encountered, but everything is muddied and it's hard to pin-point the main plot and side plots of the entire story. i'd personally say that Tommy is the main character, he's most popular, has the most screentime and the most story beats compared to everyone else, ofcoure dream is the main villain, so we would include Punz there as well, and we'll say that Tubbo is there as a secondary main character, but half of his story revolves being president, while tommy is exiled and then being /p married in snowchester, Tommy and Tubbo aren't as thick as thieves as some think. Now it can work, but this happens with almost every character, even Punz who got infected by the egg at some point, (dont even get me started on that). so it'll just become a bundle of tangled yarn.
and DONT get me started on all that shit going on with Karl, i cant even BEGIN to try and fit that into the story without destorying everything, this is kinda why fanfic writors dont focus on the entire dsmp plot, some focus on prison arcs, some on the eggpire and las nevadas, and some on the whole time travel affairs, but they rarely have multiple of these things as once, which, you can tell why.
To tell a story as bigger-than-life as the DSMP's we need multiple 'books' or even multiple series (or seasons of a show, depending on how i'll write this)
that's a lotta work, and i cant promise that i wont change every single bit of world building already established via minecraft or lore. but i can promise that my 3-year long obsession with the dream smp has just to fully leave, and possibly wont for a few more years, (at least until i finish Searching) by that time the fandom will be long gone, but i dont mind :)
also having to write out defining traits/looks or even completely rewrite some characters because of weirdos *cough* feburary bit us hard*cough*

OFMD and Revenge
I've been seeing a lot of posts focusing on characters getting comeuppance for their bad actions in this fandom lately.
People are talking about Izzy getting off easy since no one knows that Ed's behaviour is "his fault" or Ed being punished or Stede etc and like,,, no?
If that's what people want then like I get that and I see you, you're feelings make sense and they're about the furthest you can get from an unfounded opinion but that isn't really the approach ofmd seems to be taking when it comes to revenge.
In season 1 we have three major characters who's character arcs are focused on revenge; Jim, Chauncey and Izzy. Their quests for revenge are never framed as desireable.
Jim is basically done with their revenge quest for most of the show, all they really want is getting their knife back, until they return to their home where they're basically shamed for letting go of their grudge. Them continuing to avenge their family is shown to be detrimental. They leave their friends behind and Jackie outright tells them that it's not worth it.
Chauncey is just a flat-out villain this season. Like we get why he's going after Stede, I'd even say the show makes us sympathise with him, but it's also very obvious to us that he's hurting himself and the people around him by refusing to let go.
Izzy want's Blackbeard back, he's stuck in the past and he also develops a grudge against Stede specifically. These are the reasons he becomes one of our main antagonists in season 1.
But this is made even more obvious in season 2, which is why I find it so weird that a lot of people are still rooting for the possability of Izzy being punished.
I think Ed's storyline this season is the shows clearest declaration on how it's going to handle redemption and comeuppance going forward. Ed is pushed over the ledge at the end of season 1 and so far his s2 arc has been focusing on his awful coping mechanisms with trauma and guilt. He's been doing worse and worse things to the characters we love and he fucking hates himself for it. He keeps punishing himself for doing bad things by doing something worse. It's very similar to Chaunceys framing in s1 if you think about it. And he's to scared to stop because he belives that he's unredeemable, that there's no one waiting for him on the other side.
But his crew, his friends, Izzy, Stede even his own imagination (Hornigold) are telling him that he can let go of his anger and that if he'd just show them that remorse without also hurting them, they'd be there. Ed punishing himself isn't helping anyone.
And if we disregard the fact that Izzy has already lost a leg to a long and painfull infection, not to mention the fuckton of mental trauma, we see that he has put himself on the road to redemption by taking accountability for his personal actions as well as protecting the crew from Blackbeard.
Yeah he's technically one of the reasons that Ed is in such a bad place right now, but if the revenge crew aren't insanely pissed at Stede for Ed's behaviour then do ya'll really think they'd react that poorly to finding out about Izzy's involvement?
Like they've been there with him, they've seen the abuse he's endured by Blackbeard and the messed up relationship they have together. I'm pretty sure they'd all agree that he's been through enough.
Yeah he's a dick, and they've basically always known him to be one, but he's their dick.
Idk I just think people are a bit to caught up in moral absolutes here when really the happiest ending for everyone involved would be for the characters to forgive themselves for the pain they've caused, and to free themselves of their personal grudges so that they can properly heal.

Certain fandom arguments continue making the rounds while completely lacking any common sense (like the Lucien "yelling" that Elain is his mate).
Another has to do with this line and peoples fixation on how it "proves" Lucien doesn't know Elain:
And I wondered if she preferred to have torn and sweaty hands, if the dirt and cuts were proof of her labor. Her joy.
If what Feyre says has any truth to it, any truth at all, then shouldn't Elain be gardening without gloves?
Let's forget about magical gloves for a second.
In the real world, this is why people wear gloves:
Gardening gloves are gloves worn for the protection of your hands when doing garden and yard work.
you might want to consider wearing gloves if you are about to work with anything with thorns, plants that can cause irritation,
to keep your hands clean, provide a better grip when using garden tools and can provide some form of protection, especially from splinters or branches
No matter the project, it helps to have the right pair of gloves to protect your hands from dirt, scratches, and the general wear and tear that working in the garden can have on your hands
There are absolutely no articles that suggest people wear gardening gloves in the hopes that they will get cuts, scratches and dirt on their hands.
They wear gloves to avoid those things because cuts can get infected and the dirt entering the cuts can cause even greater health risks.
And not a single person buys and wears gloves in the hopes that their gloves will tear, that would be a waste of their money and again, a health concern.
But Elain doesn't garden without gloves, we have proof of her wearing them throughout the series:
Elain would put on a hat and gloves and kneel in the dirt, weeding.
"And torn up by thorns", I mused, recalling a morning this past summer when Elain had come into the house, her right palm bleeding from several gashes thanks to a stubborn rosebush that had pierced her gloves. The thorns had broken off in her skin leaving sharp splinters that I'd had to pull free.
"The thorns had broken off in her skin leaving sharp splinters that I'd had to pull free".
"her right palm bleeding from several gashes"
Sounds like a good time right? Elain must have had a giant smile on her face with that one. Those gashes and thorns in her hands clearly a cause for joy! 🥳🎉🎈🪅
🤦
The truth is, Feyre saw Elain act indifferent about Lucien's gift and couldn't figure out the reason so she had a random thought that doesn't actually hold up to inspection. All she knows is that in ACOFAS Elain still wanted a human man and is avoiding Lucien but the reader knows it's not because Lucien doesn't see Elain or that Lucien didn't get her a gift we all know (using logic) she'd have loved from someone else.
She's simply refusing his gift in the exact way Nesta refused to accept Cassian's gift except Elain is too polite to throw it back in Lucien's face (not to mention Lucien wasn't there at that moment) so instead she sets it aside aside pretending she has no interest.
And anyone trying to simplify her refusal of his gift "she doesn't like him!" is someone who isn't paying attention to how this author writes and destroying Elain's character in the process.
If Elain, for real, does not like Lucien and will always pull away from him yet still accepts his gifts, than she's a pretty terrible person.
If Elain, for real, does not like Lucien and will always pull away from him yet still has him coming around every Solstice knowing she's a big part of the reason and still hasn't set him free, than she's a pretty terrible person.
It was as little as Lucien's choice to be given a bond with Elain as it was hers, it was a shock to them both and I'm pretty sure no SJM male with a mating bond just walks away from the female (when both are fully aware) as long as she's not rejected their bond.
Elain does hold all the cards and Lucien is giving her time to decide which hand to play but if some in the fandom are so certain she has "no interest in him" and will never have interest in him then she's going to end up looking like a bit of an asshole for not breaking the bond yet continuing to take his gifts and never getting to know him.
No one is forcing her to get to know him however this is a scenario where she does owe it to him to set him free (if that's her decision) because they share an actual link to one another, he's not some random stranger in the club who she owes nothing to. People saying "she doesn't owe him anything" isn't really accurate. Taking time to work through her trauma is one thing, not making any major decisions until she explores her new world a bit is another, but dragging out their bond if she knows it's not happening is something else. When a broken bond can drive some male insane, Elain does have a responsibility to deal with her bond in a considerate manner and got drag things out if she already knows what she wants.
My version of Elain is simply one not ready to deal with the enormity of the bond and one whose a bit scared of the pull Lucien has over her and that seems more in line with the sister who is noted as kind and loving (while hesitant to get involved as she was early on in the series) rather than the cruel version some have where she hates Lucien, will never want to be with Lucien, yet hasn't broken the bond in nearly two years . 🤷

Doing this thing because I got blorbos on my mind
A - Current OTPs/OT3s etc.
It may not come as a surprise but I am absolutely rotting on PruMano at all times and have been doing so for basically a year now. It's beginning to melt into my personality and nothing can be done about it. Whenever I'm released from the iron grip of PruMano rotting I enjoy GerIta and FrUk like the normie that I am. The BTT are definitely getting together for threesomes when they're all single and I like them as well.
B - Pairing I initially didn't consider
This might shock you after reading the first bit but. PruMano. See I'm not new to this circus, I first watched Hetalia in 2015 but focused mostly on the Nordic 5 with SuFin and DenNor. This was before PruAus 9/11 (Hima suddenly announcing they're cousins) so I think I was on the PruAus rot.
Other than that I got a friend who I dragged into this hellhole (you know who you are) who has infected me with Frain and TurFra. I have some Thoughts about TurPru but uhh. let's leave that for now.
C - Ships I never liked and never will like
All the ones where there is an unbalanced power dynamic (age gaps, having interacted when one was a child and the other way older etc, former colonies and oppressive states, having a relationship that implies being related etc). I am a seasoned hater of these and I do my best to block anyone who as much as reblogs it. I do not care if it's "just fiction" you guys are weird and not in a good way xoxo
D - Ships I just can't get myself to like
Due to the aforementioned PruMano rot I just don't feel seriously interested in any other pairings I fear. Nothing against PruCan or LietPru for example, I am just so rotted on PruMano that it doesn't make me feel anything lol
E - My crack contributions
I may just be the only person who has even considered TurPru and I have done it in the most unbearable fujoshi way possible </3
Other than that I'm helping out with spreading unrequited GerFra, Frain and TurFra which I do also enjoy on the side.
F - Longest I've been in a fandom
I wanna say this one?? Not actively so, I jumped ship to other things such as Love Live and JJBA in early 2019ish (Love Live even earlier in 2017), but even during my longer breaks from Hetalia I've always ended up rewatching it at some point or posting about it.
G - First OTP
For Hetalia it's definitely been GerIta from day one. Do I even need to say anything? To me they're canon.
H - Favorite way of consuming fandom stuff
It's mostly anime series and TV shows I'd say, I do sometimes read but am a bit too busy to properly sit down and do so.
I - Has Tumblr made me dislike fandoms
I think it would take less time to list the fandoms Tumblr HASN'T made me dislike tbh. I try to keep a tight knit circle for my own sanity and rarely interact with the fandom part of stuff apart from my own and my friend's contributions. Highly recommended btw.
J - Fandoms I didn't notice until Tumblr
To be honest I'm not really browsing Tumblr at all. I like to upload here because the image quality is way better than on Instagram. I suppose I highly associate some fandoms with this site (Undertale for example)?
K - Say something nice about someone
You should all go like and subscribe to fruktual on Instagram for more FrUk and Frainposting
L - Say something nice about a mid character
Lithuania I'm sure you are way more interesting than I give you credit for and I care about you the most out of the Baltic Trio (which I honestly forget exists at times)
M - Something nice about a ship I don't like
I'd honestly rather pull a tooth out than say a single word of praise for things such as UsUk or Spamano 🤢🤢🤢🤢 And that's on periodt!
N - Things I wish to see more of in the fandom
More PruMano please please please please please pl
O - Song that reminds me of a ship
Til There Was You by The Beatles makes me think of GerIta, as well as Kingdom Come by Red Velvet
As for PruMano it would be Tales Of Great Ulysses by Cream because I had that on repeat writing my Ancient Rome PruMano AU lol
P - New AU
I'm working on/will be working on a Frankenstein PruMano AU where Gilbert is a much more empathic Victor Frankenstein and Lovino is too traumatized from dying and being resurrected to be out killing people. Look forward to that...
Q - Ship I've abandoned and why
PruAus because Hima came in with a warhammer and bludgeoned it to the cousinzone R.I.P </3
R - Pairing I think no one else ships
Again with TurPru, I seriously wonder whether it's been considered at all. Most likely not.
S - Personal headcanon
Okay more or less true I guess if you bother to read the source material but Gilbert is just a silly loser guy. Like, he's a total himbo. I love him and need to gnaw on him.
T - Headcanons I'll die defending
That Gilbert and Lovino who share a passion for chivalry and knights would definitely go visit museums and LARPing events such as medieval weeks and whatnot. Just warms my cold little heart <3
U - 5 faves from 5 different fandoms
Oh boy. Forgive me for what I'm about to share.
(Hetalia) Gilbert Beilschmidt
(JJBA) Dio Brando
(Madoka) Kyouko Sakura
(Love Live) Yoshiko Tsushima
(Gakkou Gurashi or School Live) Kurumi Ebisuzawa
V - 3 OTPs from different fandoms
(Hetalia) PruMano (shocker, I know)
(Madoka) HomuMado
(Love Live) YohaRiko
W - 5 ships ft 5 kinks for said ship
So obviously gonna skip over the ones featuring minors.
PruMano - Verbal degradation, sadism, masochism, somewhat fear aspect, leaving marks
I do also just think they love each other and have normal sex and that's fine too, but I did write a fanfic where the abovementioned happens
X - My top 5 babygirls
1. Gilbert, I bully him a lot but don't you ever seriously say something mean about him because I will be so sad </3
2. Lovino, he's a flawed man and some of you are MEAN to him for having it rough
3. Rome, some people who haven't read source material claim there's some favoritism going on, he does visit Lovino as well okay? The allegations are canonically false!
4. Ludwig, I think most of us agree he's a good person but for the rare few who claim he's "verbally abusive". Go outside and touch grass no he isn't. GerIta has always been them antagonizing one another, the battlefield is even or perhaps even in Feliciano's favor. Ludwig will never be able to escape the nightmare and I don't think Feli wants him to. They're bound together forever and love it.
5. Roderich, gets slack for various Chibitalia related things, does not deserve it at all, it's all whining and he and Feli are on good terms in modern times. Relax.
Y - Fandoms in-law
My current close friends are into Baldurs Gate 3, Watch Dogs, Dishonored, Evillous Chronicles (Vocaloid), Utena and more. But these are the primary blorbo shows in-law.
Z - Rambling time
Okay if you've gotten this far down I admire your attention span lol thanks. I don't really have all that much to say that is concrete and comprehensible but I am thinking of PruMano and of warm days by the Mediterranean Sea and skies later lit in vivid shades of red and orange as the hot sun sets and the cities come to life. I am also thinking about them cuddling, which I do quite a lot.
Anyway that was all for me bye

Originality / Plagarism
I liked my little comparison so im going to rewrite it without the stupid anon:
There is no such thing as an original idea, it's impossible to come up with something someone else hasn't already. that is a fact EVERY creator is going to have to come to terms with sooner or later.
If two directors decided to make a cosmic horror movie set in space where a crew of a few people discover a distress signal from an unknown/lost source and went to investigate. Only to find out the entire crew was dead and killed by a being that infects peoples bodies...
That wouldn't be plagarism, that is two similar ideas made by two different people.
Those movies are Alien and Event Horizon, good movies btw, i'd recomend them both.
I've talked with multiple creators before, writers, [comic] artists, video editors etc, and they all agree, you cannot make something entirely original.
however you CAN in fact grab an idea that has been done before and make your own spin on it. This has been done so many countless times its actually impossible to write them all down.
[how many sherlocks, robin hoods, shakespeare stories are there? parodies, movies, musicals etc]
and if we're talking about original fiction, not movies based on a novel/series... how many spy movies with the exact same premise, how many evil house movies, ghost movies, ZOMBIE MOVIES.
The Silence and A Quiet Place are two other movies with almost the exact same premise [creatures that are blind and hunt by sound]
But fanfic writing is an ENTIRELY new can of worms... you're already writing something based on someone elses writing/story already.
When you're writing fanfic for anything, at many points someone else would have had an idea similar to your own.
Using from my own experience in the Hoffstrahm fandom. there are SO many fics where they fuck in the glass coffin, where hoffman saves Strahm. it would be childish and immature to say only ONE person can ever write that exact scenario.
There are currently 10 fanfics in the cannibalism tag for hoffstrahm specifically.... and there are only so many ways you can write cannibalism.
People are BOUND to write something similar or close. But its impossible for something to be exact without actual intent.
As a READER I enjoy the 30+ fanfics where hoffman and strahm are kissing and fucking in that coffin, yes please, give me more.
I will cheer on ANYONE who writes more cannibalism too, we have a lack of it in the tag and someone needs to help me fill it up.

Some thoughts on the Sudran Pathogen:
Damu was supposed to be able to turn people into terrifying beasts, right? But the war ended after he became an Arm, so he never got his full power.
Athetos turns his clones into... ugh, various things, mostly giant bugs/creatures of some sort. And the OST track for both Athetos and Uruku is "Apocalypse," which is the name of both the Arms ("Apocalypse Arms") and the blue flasks ("Apocalypse Flasks").
And remember the hallucination route? Trace caught the pathogen and hallucinated that he became some kind of flying creature- meanwhile, in his hallucination, he also saw himself on the ground, saying "Demon, Athetos say kill" in that semi-robotic voice. I still think the one on the ground was Trace and the flying one was imagined, but... either way, whichever one was actually Trace, he didn't look or sound fully human.
And Trace doesn't get sick until he enters Ukkin-Na (although there is that one moment in Zi where we see another Trace run off to the left... but Trace didn't see them, so I don't think that was actually an hallucination, Trace would have said something if he'd seen them). You can spend hours running around every other part of Sudra that you can reach up to that point, but he doesn't get sick until he enters Ukkin-Na. Yes, I understand how this works from a game coding perspective; but storywise, it's just very interesting how he doesn't get sick until he enters Ophelia's area- Ophelia being the one who carries Damu.
You know, they never did tell us exactly how Ophelia was able to just magically cure Trace of the pathogen.
Speaking of the pathogen- how come they always specifically use the word "pathogen" and not a more common word like "virus"? I noticed this early on in the first game. I think they sometimes use words like "plague" and "disease," but never "virus" or "bacteria" or anything else. So, it's not a virus or bacteria or any kind of germ that we know about.
It seems that Athetos was using the pathogen to create his variants. And, from what I've gathered in my research in the fandom, etc., those Xedur-like things appear in AV2 as a result of people being in the same area as Damu. (I didn't figure that out on my own, I just always thought it was weird that I'd return to an area and a Xedur would be there, but none of the people.)
I've seen the theory that Damu is somehow the source of the pathogen. Or that the pathogen is carried from the Breach. Either way... I don't think it's a "pathogen" at all, unless you count a computer virus as a pathogen. Yup. I'm saying, this isn't an actual disease, it's a result of the nanites. There are many sci-fi stories about self-replicating nanites that basically become some kind of infectious contagion. I think that's what happened here.
It would make sense. Magic doesn't exist in this game, it's hard sci-fi. Damu can't just wave an arm and turn people into giant animals. So the way he would do it is to infect them with self-replicating nanites. But his transformation into an Arm was incomplete because the experiments stopped when the war with the Udug ended. So his nanotechnology was never perfected. It's out of control, and so it doesn't just stop with turning one person into an animal- it takes over their mind and also spreads to other people.
Furthermore, while Athetos is a physicist and, apparently, something of an engineer, he is not a biologist. It makes no sense that Athetos would have the skills or knowledge to create, modify, or release a pathogen of that magnitude. Heck, he can only create clones of himself by using the rebirth chamber. The obvious explanation is that he uses self-replicating nanotech to turn his clones into the variants.
There's still a lot of holes in my theories, but I feel like I'm coming closer to understanding what's going on. What I still haven't figured out- and from what I've read so far, neither has anyone else- is why the pathogen only turns some people into giant beasts, while most people just either die or turn into white mutant zombies???

I mean at the risk of just ranting, I offer what I've come to think of as a third distinct possibility - that we don't yet approach Jenova as enough of a cosmic horror as a fandom, and that possession like what the clones experience isn't the only option. Basically what the UO (I'm hesitant to trust any translations because I recall old LJ wanks on the matter, but we gotta start somewhere so I've used the gamefaqs translation, if anyone thinks another is better please let me know which) alleges is that it doesn't really think in a creative, social manner like humans. It is capable of calculation and manipulation, sure, but let's put that aside for a minute to circle back to what we know the most about because I recall a different translation point blank saying it's dead and incapable of will (which... well, is possible ig but Lucrecia certainly makes it clear that Jenova's cells don't die in ways humans would expect, but if that's true it would require us to consider the following aspects to be something inherent to Jenova's cells even without the possibility for regular intelligence.)
Tumblr media
Jenovas cells infect a host, turn it's identity to soup if it has no mental defenses against it (and an attempt at quantifying the ability to withstand it is - possibly - baked into a psychological portion of the SOLDIER qualifications), and then drives the infected tissue to find a larger/more dominant quantity of cells and merge with it. It can and does shapeshift them along the way.
Tumblr media
This is what is responsible for Cloud's fugue state, directly, and it's implied in even the OG that Zack was not vulnerable to it the same way. (We have no true barometer either way, I'd say, for how well Sephiroth was doing at this before Nibelheim, as he would likely have bypassed any testing normal for SOLDIERs to determine this at least by birth, except that he seemed extremely functional, and how having that cooking in him from birth would change anything.) This is what pulls Cloud and the clones along the same path - but until the Temple, it is pretty misleading to the audience that Cloud isn't doing it of his own volition for the reasons he's said. And we're playing Cloud, so we have a much higher level of insight into his dissociations.
Tumblr media
So I guess the question is on some level, is Cloud's behavior early in the game all mind control? He certainly has his own autonomy in a lot of ways. Compared to in the Crater, after Sephiroth's complete breakdown of Cloud's identity, where he is more just an empty, shuffling vessel like the other clones. I certainly wouldn't call that early Cloud "mind controlled," but he is undeniably influenced and compromised. His identity is no longer his own, it's now an amalgam he's cobbled together to be functional, but it works well enough to keep the Jenova cells from turning his sense of self to soup until dickhead shows up to repeatedly poke holes in his lies.
So we return to the question of Nibelheim. Even in the OG canon Sephiroth seems tired, lonely, and maybe even a bit sad. He seems to be awkwardly rambling, deeply unsure, and openly catty about ShinRa authority figures even before the reactor - even ignoring the cut content where he says much the same as he does in CC. And then everything he encounters - seemingly oddly curated by Hojo towards some sick end - is one more fucking blow to his mental image of who he is as a person. If he is a person.
After Nibelheim, it's apparently supposed to be interpreted that Sephiroth is the one in control of the Jenova cells in the clones and Cloud, and apparently Jenova's own body. That he's physically and mentally the most capable of wielding them against the rest of Hojo's sad ass menagerie. He's the one with an education in war and experience in project management. He knows how humans think and how to best kill them or blend in to their cities.
But in Nibelheim, the closest he's ever been to a larger concentration of the cells, and emotionally the most destroyed he's ever been, I think it's feasible to suggest something distinct from either Jenova-controlling-Sephiroth or it's inverse. More of a Sephiroth-compromised-by-inherent-properties-of-Jenova than puppeted. It's the only time in the game (and it's present in most versions of the Nibelheim incident, which suggests an importance imo), where we see Sephiroth do that stumbling head grab Cloud has from the the start. The problem is that we never really see anyone controlled by Jenova specifically to contrast, but there's a certain poetry in the idea that there might be no real way we can ever make a meaningful distinction between his reaction to the reason for his lifetime of slavery and abuse and the potential for him to become a vessel for an alien will voracious for violence. I don't know if I think the canon is supposed to be that it had the ability to really do more than call to him for Reunion, but I guess what I'm saying is that I don't think it would need to do more than that to compromise him in that state, that Hojo had ensured he was already close enough to the edge at that point to make it indistinguishable.
Woo, controversy time fun fun. But Rebirth 's depiction genuinely makes you wonder.

If you could pair Jay, Kim, Adam, Hailey and Kevin with anyone from the One Chicago Universe apart from their current partners or love interests, who would it be? 🙂🙂🙂
Firstly, THANK YOU. Seriously, thank you for asking me this last night, it became a lifesaver for me. Tumblr kept crashing on me so I couldn't answer but god, it kept my mind so so entertained-- probably would've answered it as soon as I gave up on sleep after waking up after only a short time except adhd has made that I've been unfocused all day.
But finally after a stupid amount of attempts of sitting down to type this out, I'm finally doing it!!!
The number one thing that I'm going to take from this is that apparently I can see Sylvie Brett with basically everyone. Which makes sense since she's a literal angel who's so very lovable. (Honestly, to me, her and Kim are the most shippable characters in the whole OC universe (then, for me, it's Will).
I'm gonna answer this is two parts. My first one I'm only going to name one person each, and not have any overlaps and then the second one I'm gonna allow myself to list everyone I can see with them. Some of these aren't my top person I'd ship them with, because I had to give that person to someone else tho.
Jay: I really tried to think of characters who wasn't in Pd for him but, especially as I'm already using Sylvie, honestly the top person I'd ship him with is Kim! Although to stick with my rules, although I couldn't see this being a lasting relationship, I could see him and April having a shirt thing.
Kim: Kelly Severide. I kinda fell in love with the idea of them after seeing an interview with Marina and Taylor in and adding that in with the headcanon me and @fighterkimburgess have that him, Kim and Sylvie have girls nights (...do not ask how this transpired I don't even think I remember), I just have a lot of Thoughts about the dynamic they could have.
Adam: Sylvie Brett. I could've put Sylvie for all, really, but she is literally the only one (outside Kim) I could actually see Adam with so I just had to.
Hailey: ... Okay so my top answer for this I can't say for *reasons* on the account it spoils a part of a fic idea I have but after my top answer I'd say Will. Like to me Will is just very shippable and honestly there's a lot of reasons I could make it work between them. ALSO like idk why but not as a serious rarepair ship but I'm fairly confident I could make a fic between her and Connor work. Although to be ✨queer✨ for a minute, honestly Natalie, ever since the infection episode.
Kevin: Violet. This is a ship that Cíara got me on to, and honestly is my go-to ship if I need Kevin to be in a relationship with an oc character in my fics.
Now for my lists of everyone I'd consider:
Jay: Kim and Sylvie (I watched the hospital scene in S2 and like. I hadn't met brettsey yet and I was like, so sure I'd like them two together more than their canon ships). Also I think him and Natalie could have a good short fling storyline, especially if it enhanced their endgames. And of course, April.
Kim: Sylvie, Jay, Sarah, Severide, Hailey, Will, Stella, Erin, Matt, Natalie, Cruz, Ethan and Gabby. (This is why I call her Very Shippable 🤣)
Adam: Sylvie and... Yep that's it. Maybe a fling with Erin if the show started differently. AND if we're talking about non long term relationships, obviously Hailey. I cannot stand upzek but y'know. If I'm racking my brain to the point of suggesting a hook up with Erin, I can't not mention upzek bc at least I can see that relationship as like, not just sex.
Hailey: Kim, Will, Natalie, Stella, Erin, Vanessa, Ethan, Connor
Kevin: Violet, Vanessa, Sylvie, Stella, and Hailey.
As you can see, this fandom has turned me into somewhat of a multi shipper 🤣🤣🤣 And as you can see I very very much ADORE my wlw pairings. Honestly I have so many wlw fic to write and i think this gives a glimpse into why!!! Also that if I see Kim interact with ANYWAY my mind goes 👀
This was very enjoyable and I thought up a few more fics last night when thinking about this soooo, that's good!!! 💖

Warnings: violence, blood, realism in comics, me mentioning things stans want to ignore to make a point, you don't have to consider them canon, I'm just making a point don't hurt me
Right. Been seeing dialog about Jason's decision to give up guns that i feel is missing a few points.
1. Bruce is traumatized by guns. Yeah he jumps in the line of fire every night but that doesn't mean he isn't scared of/triggered by them:
Tumblr media
[Image ID: Oracle!Babs and Robin!Tim roll/walk through the clocktower. Babs: (about guns) Hates them. But doesn't fear them. Tim: Not the way he jumps in the line of fire night after night. Babs: Line of fire... Babs: I was afraid of them for a long time. I'd go faint at the sight of a gun on TV. Tim: You have reasons, Barbara. So does Batman. Babs: But I. worked through them. Babs: Maybe Bruce hasn't. Maybe he's not the rock we thought he was. Tim: He bought a gun as therapy? Babs: Look at the facts. He bought it just like any other citizen. Like he wanted to experience it as someone else would. Tim: I don't think- Computer: Keyword media search alert. Tim: What's that? End ID]
Birds of Prey (1998) #40
Bruce's opposition of guns is partially based in trauma - it's not completely a moral stance or completely logical rule. Jason giving up guns is for himself, but it allows him to be closer to Bruce and for Bruce to be more relaxed in his presence -> can make their relationship closer.
2. [X] weapon isn't even lethal. Getting cut/hurt + no health care = possible death from infection -> shooting a henchman with regular bullets in the foot can be lethal. Or cutting them with a batarang.
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A girl walks home getting off the school bus. Girl: "Mama, I know you don't want to hear this, but --" She opens the door to an empty run down house. Girl: "Mama? Mama are you --?" She opens up the bathroom door, revealing her mother sweating and bleeding out on the ground, trying to press a towel to a wound on her side. Her mom is wearing a henchman outfit for the H.I.V.E. Girl: "Mama!" Mom: "Why -- Why are you home so soon?" The girl holds her mom in a sitting position. Girl: "This isn't the flu. You said you had the flu." Mom: "I -- I will be better soon. I just need to rest." Girl: "You need a hospital, mama." Mom: "No. If they find out -- they'll take you away from me. Send me back to Guatemala." The final panel shows a wisp of Ravens cape, the view zoomed out. Girl: "I know you want to protect me, but you need help now -- no matter what happens later." Raven: "Maybe I can help." End ID]
Titans: Titans Together #4
Similarly could ppl stop acting like rubber bullets are non lethal, everything the batfam uses can be lethal and cause scenes like above. Literally none of them can claim moral high ground they've all thrown batarangs in people's faces (off the top of my head, Jason nailed Dick with one in the face in BoC and Bruce got Jason in the neck in UTRH so there's the two characters at odds).
3. Jason/Bruce has never hurt an undeserving person. Jason isn't a mass murderer and you're slandering him. Bruce is the best dad ever you're an idiot for thinking otherwise.
...did you miss the times he tried to kill Tim? Or sprayed Dick with fear gas? Or shot Damian in the chest (not rubber bullets mind you). All of this happened in Battle of the Cowl. He poisoned 82 prisoners indiscriminately in Batman and Robin (2009) #23, went around killing random "thugs" in Brothers in Blood arc of Nightwing. Is it slander if he did it? Idk. If anyone can answer that lmk but everything is canon now so the point is moot.
And let me also say if everythings canon Bruce has also hurt/hit/abused his family (i don't have the specific issue numbers but runs that I've seen bad dad Bruce in are The New Titans, Batgirl (2000), Nightwing (1996), Tom Kings crap, RHATO rebirth, etc. I don't feel like going into detail but if hard pressed i will) don't try to paint me as a Bruce or Jason apologist/hater please
Also literally see the panel above 💀 the mom is an undocumented immigrant from Guatemala with an engineering degree she can't use because the US gov is literally fucking flaming garbage, so she had to take that job to provide for her daughter. Quit thinking extrajudicial murder/vigilantism is a woke take. No. Stop. Bad. Criminals have rights for a reason.
Can you choose to call the above things Jason and Bruce have done ooc and bad writing. Yep. Go ahead, be my guest. Just it's weird to me that ppl always seem to do it for one character and not the other. Like... that's not productive dialogue? And yeah both Jason and Bruce stans do this i just happened to see a post from a Jason stan so he got to be shamed first. If you think i think my fave is wrong, i literally made a post publically shaming him at one point, and wrote an entire fic dedicated to me pointing out why i think characters would hate him the most 🤷‍♀️ if someone read a comic that shows your fave in a bad light don't call them stupid for not liking that character just point them in the right direction and if you don't want to. Don't. Just block them. I'm tired of watching ppl act like their better than each other because they don't consider things canon (unless you stan a minority character and don't consider their racist/sexist writing canon in which case, same, you're the best ppl in this fandom)💀 or referencing fanon as canon and telling ppl to go read more comics 💀
Anyways the takeaways I've come out with are, this debate between the two is more than just morals, they've both wronged each other, and trying to simplify it down into victim and abuser is just - missing nuance and ignoring their full histories in my opinion and kinda just ends up flattening both characters and making both of them less relatable

Dear Dream SMP fandom
Today I bring you a theory/analysis of Tommy and how him breaking the egg was going to be more of a bad thing than a good thing.
To explain this we must acknowledge that Tommy claimed he was immune to the egg, as he felt no love or hate for it and he couldn't hear it. However, after his last stream's events we can assume he was wrong.
Tommy was dead set on destroying the egg since Sam Nook told him the egg was the cause Sam was gone. When he arrived he heard the egg, not as clearly as other members, but he heard it regardless. He was ready to start and then he doubted, the egg was making him doubt.
He questioned whether the egg had truly hurt anyone despite him knowing the egg is why Sam was gone because that's what he was just told minutes ago. The egg gives you what you desire most, Tommy wishes to retire, he desires no more war and that was his train of thought, if i destroy the egg another war will start. He desires to stop being the hero of the story, the egg is bad and if he breaks it he will be a hero! Something he doesn't want to be and the egg knows that.
The egg wants Tommy dead and breaking it would surely cause him to die by all it's followers, but it's not worth risking the integrity of itself, so the egg has no other option but to make Tommy doubt, he let's Tommy take a part of it. Why? To consume him slowly without him realizing
Before i go on i'd like to remind you of the only other person who had a so called "immunity" against the egg, Skeppy. Although he is now currently possessed by the egg, he was and i quote from BadBoyHalo.
"You are the only one among us who didn't feel the egg's influence" (min 11:14)
What Skeppy did that time was break the obsidian around the egg which once again allowed him to control people or influence them, then Skeppy broke the egg and he got trapped inside it.
So to recapitulate the only person known with immunity to the egg broke it and got trapped within it. Sounds a little familiar doesn't it? Not only that, but after that when Skeppy came out he was completely possessed instead of influenced, after that the egg began to posses more people changing their physical appearance.
When Tommy broke a piece of the egg and immediately replaced it his way of thinking or well his desire of "i no longer want wars, I no longer want to be the hero" were replaced with his second desire, money. "If i have a piece of the egg, people will come to my hotel, they will give me money" and finally it attacked his third desire to, wanting to be loved again. Tommy believed that of he loved the egg just like everyone else did, then everyone would love him and like him again, the egg attacked all of his desires and he didn't even notice, i don't think any of us did.
Tommy arrived at the egg with a selfless act to avenge Sam, to do what Sam Nook asked him to do like he has been doing lately, he thought about others, if the egg had truly harmed them before he thought selfishly, before he thought about self benefit he thought about others, which to Tommy's character is a huge step.
A part of him knew his decision was wrong, he went to Sam Nook hoping he would tell him he did the right thing, because thats what he has been doing after every task he accomplished, you did well TommyInnit.
I want to say, Tommy not breaking the egg wasn't a good thing or a bad thing and here is why. Wether or not the egg is destroyed the influence from it will still remain on the people, becaus etheh are no longer influenced but possesed. Bad, Skeppy, Ant and many others are already contaminated and have exposed the outside to it.
Egg or not that won't be reversed, even when the egg was completely encased by obsidian, Skeppy's and Bad's "corruption" still remained, they carry to much on them, even if the egg was gone they could work as the egg to keep contaminating people, whatever Tommy did it wouldn't have changed that.
If Tommy had broken the egg it's most likely ,that just like Skeppy, he would be trapped within it and completely possesed becaude as i mentioned before, Tommy is not as immune as he thinks he is.
One question remains, Sam Nook was the one that sent him to do that, since we are assuming he and Sam are the same person then we know there was a reason behind it. If we recall, Sam was trapped with the egg for 15 hours or more, he was clearly damaged, not completely possesed but halfway through. Despite his efforts to fight the egg he lost, he is just now another mindless bee following a hive mind, and why do i say this?
Tumblr media
Because of that, clearly Sam either send that to Tommy bh accident or the real Sam managed to send that to the wrong person as a warking to Tommy. I believe Sam isn't completely gone, but the egg has the upper hand, he sent Tommy to the egg for what was most likely a possesion that failed.
However, the mission didn't fail completely because Tommy was influenced without him realizing it, the egg played with all of his desires and Tommy fell for it without noticing. Tommy is not immune and he was infected, that wasn't the original plan of the eggpire but it was progress to their mission of dominating everything.
Tommy was willing to do something selfless, bug i nelieve this one time being selish is what saved him from a worse fate than infection, we can just hope he won't get completely controlled.
Or well thats just what i think, perhaps i'm looking to deep into things or something. I do that sometimes, anyways if you are reading this get a break man, get some sleep, grab a snack, just take care of yourself okay?
Goodnight reader! Bye!

Of course, there are many ways to approach this, and I know you're talking hockey specifically but I think this holds true for any person you like and/or admire in fandom (in real life would be a bit different). I'm speaking from the perspective of someone who has been in quite a few different fandoms since 2006, including several with people who would certainly be dubbed "problematic" these days.
For posterity's sake, I'm going to assume here that there is a personal response to some level/some concern about the person's actions, as presumably you wouldn't care if there wasn't.
So, the first thing I think is important to keep in mind is to realize that there is nothing much we as fans can do to change the person's behaviour. We're not their friends. I'm saying this because it means that we ourselves are not for their behaviour accountable in any way whatsoever. There is a large degree of separation between ourselves and the people we admire/ship, and that sometimes is lost in fandom spaces, where the people we talk about are considered a reflection of our own personality. They are not. I view them as "shells" with some level of personality (which is not necessarily reflective of their true selves). We use those shells to play with the way a kid would play with Barbies or Bionicles or Lego.
Fandom, however, has a tendency to hold us accountable for these peoples' actions, because there is the impression that we are condoning certain actions/allegations/etc. simply because we write about them. This falls in line with purity/cancel culture rhetorics, where one bad thing seems to "infect" all else a person pursues, to a ridiculously toxic degree.
Because of that, the first and most important question I think you should ask yourself is whether you are comfortable still shipping/reblogging these people - and if you're uncomfortable, how much of that discomfort is internal and how much of it is the external pressure of the fandom purity police. In the end, it's about how you feel about the person. Do they do something that makes you fall out of love with them, and you don't want to reblog them or write about them etc.? Absolutely fine! However, if part of a fandom of some rabid anons say "you cannot reblog A because he did xyz" and the fear of being judged by those people withholds you from posting, that means you're not going by your own comfort but you're doing this based on other peoples' comfort levels. Personally, I think those people can fuck off, and I don't think anyone should let people like that inform their fandom experience. It's not worth it.
However, when I do experience discomfort around a person's actions... I'd much rather discuss it than immediately "cancel" them, stop reblogging them, etc. Why does what they did make me uncomfortable or upset? That helps me make an informed decision, and it helps to not brush the situation under the carpet. Consequently, there remains the possibility for a person to make amends (i.e. Kaner stopped drinking after 2015). After all, we're talking about real people here, and no one is perfect.
However... I don't really believe in disclaimers. Like. To me it just feels like a performative act to quiet someone's conscience (whether that be your own or the rebloggers/likers). If it's your own, it'd be far more helpful to look at why you feel guilty or shameful enough to post a disclaimer, yet comfortable enough to reblog anyway. If it's other people's... Fuck them. You get to do what you want!
So. I believe in acknowledging what happened. I believe in talking about what happened. I believe in not swiping it under the rug. But I think those conversations need to be more than a disclaimer, because in truth, disclaimers say very little.
In the end, obviously any response is valid if it's your choice. I just think the choices you make cannot and should not be influenced by what people might think of you, or by guilt and shame for a situation you can't change. I also think disclaimers or ceasing to reblog them entirely is a lot less effective than opening up the discussion around it. Hell, that's why I prefer the Blackhawks inner circle. Not because people act like nothing happened (although I can see how people looking in from the outside might see it that way) but because it can be and is being discussed. Yes, people left the fandom in 2015. That is their right and I won't hold that against them. Yes, more left during the Kyle Beech situation in 2021. I won't hold that against those who did, either.
Any choice you make is the right one if it's the choice you feel best about. At the same time, though, feeling like it's the right thing to post a disclaimer or stop posting because some dude is considered problematic for whatever reason troubles me... and I'm italicising the word because both fandom's and any individual's perception of what behaviour is problematic or unacceptable changes all the fucking time.
So yeah. Navigate your own feelings, confront what's difficult unless it's too difficult to confront, but also keep in mind that the choice to reblog some silly man on skates who's maybe done some bad things doesn't reflect on your person (or shouldn't), and stopping to reblog him doesn't change shit so if it makes you happy, why stop anyway tbh.
Hey Hockey fans! I wanna do a bit of research for an infopost I'm considering making. So here's a genuine question because I've been thinking about it for a while: When a player, especially one you've admired for a while, is revealed to be someone problematic (bigoted, abusive, or just a questionable history in general), how do you approach that (Especially when it comes to fanart, fanfic and just... generally posting about them?). Approaches can range from anything from ceasing about posting them (outside of occasional reblogs) or continuing to post them but adding a disclaimer. Additionally, what advice would you give to new hockey fans regarding such players? Hell, I'm actually interested in some advice as well, considering my own habit of posting problematic players (something I admittedly feel slightly conflicted about, especially as a young hockey fan who's still learning about the sport and it's culture).

Thank you so much for the tag @oatmilk-vampire !! This took a lot more deliberation than I thought 😅
Who was your first fictional crush?:
Catwoman from Batman: The Animated Series
What's the first colour you think of when I tell you to think of a color?:
Blue
Which fanfiction emotionally scarred you and still makes you shudder to this day?:
There's a Hannibal fanfic that takes place soon after the end of Season 3. Both Hannibal and Will are slowly dying from infected wounds and starvation as they try to ration whatever canned food and medicine they have left. Will dies first in the bathroom and it takes Hannibal a while to come out of delirium and come to terms with what's happened to Will and what will happen to him. Truly a one of the finest 'wouldn't it be fucked up if [blank] happened' fics I've read and I truly wish I remembered what the fic was called off the top of my head.
I'm coming to your house for dinner, non-negotiable, what are you making me?:
Pesto salmon with parmesan angel hair pasta :]
Do you prefer lions or kangaroos?:
Lions (I am not immune to big cat)
Which fictional villain do you brush past the glaringly obvious issues for because you really like them?:
Idk if this counts but Anakin Skywalker. The man has committed innumerable atrocities on a galactic scale, but he is so narritivly compelling to me.
What would accompany your picture in the Burn Book in Mean Girls?:
... is now a bad time to say I've never seen Mean Girls?
How many days would you last in the universe of your favourite fandom?:
I mean I'm a decent human being and i dont work in law enforcement so I'd probably live a long healthy life in the Hannibal universe (but the chance of a Fucked Up Murder happening is not 0%)
Have you heard of Mischief Theatre?:
No... should i???
Do you feel sorry for Medusa?:
From what little I know of the myth, yes
Which song makes you think of your OTP?:
Same as prev, i have an entire playlist. However the first one that comes to mind is The Killing Moon by Echo & the Bunnymen
Which song makes you disassociate and daydream the fastest?:
Chamber of Reflection by Mac DeMarco
No pressure tags: @lovingiseasy-434 @mithrilbookofmystery @a-gay-cryptid @zestyhairless and anyone else who wants to join in!
Get to know you game
Thank you for the tag @crowleys-bentley-and-plants <3 I started a new thread since the original is a bit long.
Who was your first fictional crush?:
Sarah (Vanessa Morgan) from My Babysitter's a Vampire.
What's the first colour you think of when I tell you
to think of a colour?:
Pink
Which fanfiction emotionally scarred you and still
makes you shudder to this day?:
Gotta be the first ever fanfic I read. I hadn't realized fanfictions existed so I was believing everything I read at the young age of 9. Can't remember the title but I legitimately thought Ross Lynch got Laura Marano pregnant then cheated on her and ditched her. Now I consume roughly 80k words of fanfiction a week and don't bat an eye at the content.
I'm coming to your house for dinner, non-negotiable, what are you making me?:
Spaghetti, garlic toast, and red velvet cake
Do you prefer lions or kangaroos?:
Kangaroos.
Which fictional villain do you brush past the
glaringly obvious issues for because you really like
them?:
Kurt Kunkle from Spree. I could fix him.
What would accompany your picture in the Burn
Book in Mean Girls?:
"Ollie calls himself gay, is really bi, but has only been in one single relationship that ended in 2021. Lame."
How many days would you last in the universe of
your favourite fandom?:
I think I'd live at least til age 60. Depends on how fast secondhand smoke or stress would kill me. (The Bear fx)
Have you heard of Mischief Theatre?: no.
Do you feel sorry for Medusa?: Yes.
Which song makes you think of your OTP?: the real question is which one doesn't? Whiskey in the Jar from Metallica.
Which song makes you disassociate and daydream
the fastest?:
Psycho Killer by Talking Heads
