I watched Robocop for the first time today, expecting a goofy little 80s action flick that doesn't really stand the test of time. I was actually pleasantly surprised.

The practical effects still look great and the theme of law enforcement corrupted by billionaires and corporations couldn't be more relevant.

It's kinda sad how over commercialisation of the franchise killed it dead.

✦゜ANSWERED: Despite only visiting Tumblr 2-3 times a week, I get over 10+ asks daily and almost 90 asks weekly.

60% are from people who actually take the time to read the pinned post and follow the rules (hence getting their asks answered), 20% are repeated/FAQ questions, 10% are anons asking for NSFW, 5% are people sending their reactions to my posts (I'd prefer if you left a reply on the post instead!! ;v; /nm), 3% are people mistaking me for other yan blogs, and 1% are rude anons trying to start fake drama in the indie yan VN community.

Please understand that it's only me who's managing this blog, and I can't get through everyone's questions most of the time — whether it's by repeating the same thing over and over again, searching for and linking posts where their question has already been answered, or simply because your ask got buried amongst the others.

If you'd like a better chance at me answering your questions; please, please, please read my pinned post and search this blog before you send in anything! I know it can be frustrating waiting aaaaaages for a response, but please be considerate of what I have to deal with on my end as well ;v; I don't want your question to sound lacklustre or boring, but I also don't want to repeat the same things I've said a million times and bore everyone else who's reading jggkddfkg

Also I know it's the bare minimum, but please be respectful of a person's boundaries as well. I've explicitly stated in my pinned post that I'm not comfortable writing about a lot of darker topics (sc, sh, major death, etc.), yet people still try to send in asks about it anyways T_T Please don't do that. /lh /nm

You know, this pic has been around a long time for the ephemeral nature of the internet. I remember saving this when I was still manually, physically saving photos to my PC, and that's been...well, a hot second.

And that's cause it's an *incredible* photo.

Nature photgraphy, especially macro nature photography, is a field that I can call, with experience...chaotic? Chaotic is a good word. You can't direct nature, the best you can do is learn to predict it, seek out these organic moments like a bird diving

or a fox leaping

Or a lizard lizarding

You wait for it to happen, and wait for it, and wait for it, and BAM, it happens and you spray'n'pray as many shots as possible, *praying* you get THE shot, the one that just...*does* something, *has* something. THE shot.

And this photo is absolutely THE shot.

*Look* at it. Two snails, two tiny tiny snails, so small they each ride atop the stem of a single cherry. The surface tension hugging their fruit-rafts, the blurred unimportance of the background as for this frozen moment, just this moment before they drift the fraction of a fraction of a frame away and make The Shot impossible, they reach out for each other, each shining, golden, pond-sweet snail, with every bit of themselves--

--they reach out for each other, and they touch.

That's what it's all about.

And it is necessarily extincted literal instants later, the same as the gull will never dive at quite that velocity, and the fox will never leap at quite that angle again.

But they touch. For just that moment, they touch.

*And someone got that on camera.*

And...

I have no idea who that person is.

college is making me want to shoot myself in the head really bad, which is crazy because i thought i was completely done with feeling suicidal after highschool ended. my life is looking up and i have a lot to look forward to.

but the funny thing is. that beautiful future, which is the reason i don't want to die, is only obtainable through going to college and working very hard and stressing myself out all the time. which, in turn, makes me want to die.
