Hi, buddy ol’ pal! I don’t know why I said that but I do have a request, if you’re not too busy at the moment! Could you maybe do a platonically yandere Cartman x male reader headcanons? If you don’t mind the content- you’re awesome! Have a great day! <3
in all honesty
minus the murder part of yandere (the game!)
he would prolly pull that really sweet persona to get you to do something for him, but if you were to deny he’d pull a chili con carnival on your ass and bake your parents into a muffin.
he’s a conniving manipulative asshole, and the switch up from kind to ass would be a lot more severe in his case. also i feel like he wouldn’t do it to your face but would rather do things behind your back like convincing your friends to hate you or whatever. (or training a pony to bite ur wiener off /hj)
that’s dark but to be honest we were all petty assholes in fourth grade (and cartman is the PETTIEST ! and he is kind of crazy but i love him /p)
plus kind of depends on how you treat him. he’s a complicated character, and being the major comedy relief character, he’s also hard to put into words. he’s silly
THIS NEXT PART IS NOT directed at you! but if you’re willing to teach me more about this term and how to use it platonically i really do want to know more :)
the term yandere is most commonly used for romantic relationships, which im not willing to portray in the south park kids.
i know that’s not what you meant as the asker (you’re so sweet and you’re awesome too)
but i don’t know how that term could be used non-romantically.
i’m totally willing to learn because i don’t know much about labels like that because i never really make my characters hurting eachother (i am a SUCKER for the comfort part of hurt-comfort 😻)

The stuff Sam says to Madison regarding her abusive ex is pretty vile and it's made even more gross by the fact that it's clearly written with the intended perspective being that Sam is just such a Good Guy but like he's basically saying abuse only happens to Certain Types of people and that Madison seems too good to end up with a shitty guy.
SAM [smiles, nods]: Okay, um… well, you’re – you're clearly smart. I mean, your house is full, is full of great books, you know? And you’re independent ... MADISON: Uh-huh. SAM: What were you doing with Kurt? [...] MADISON: [...] You wanna know why I stayed with him? Really? [He nods.] I was too insecure to leave. SAM: I find that hard to believe. I mean, you don’t really seem like the type.
.....he's literally like, "you're so smart and independent (and exactly MY type -- she has a house full of great books ! ) and smart independent people don't end up with abusive partners. This would only happen to uneducated insecure idiots and you don't seem the type (you're a hot girl after all)."
like literally wtf ?? anyone can become the victim of abuse. And as Madison literally tells Sam, it's not like abusers simply "introduce [themselves], like, 'Hi, I’m possessive and controlling and I like to punch people. Wanna be my girlfriend?'" And Sam literally just laughs this off and then says, "Yeah, well, I guess we all make mistakes." As if it was just an oopsie blunder on Madison's part. Like ????
Anyways if we wanna talk actual "normalized early 2000s casual misogyny" it's more this shit that's actually harmful than the writers making them say shit like "bitch" and "skank" at demons in the early seasons. (Which, for people who care about that stuff and like to act like it's only a "Dean Crime" and not a symptom of early 2000s television, Sam literally calls a woman a bitch while he's watching a soap opera with Madison in this very scene).
#this is probs the most 'crit' i've been toward sam in a while#and it's not even really abt sam like yes he says this shit but. i'm more mad at the fact that it was written like this in the first place#also. written by sera ! a woman ! she often writes some of the worst stuff re: women. the internalized misogyny was strong w/ her#vics spn rewatch#spn 2x17

Hello! I hope you're doing well:))
I was wondering if you could write some hcs for a male reader with brain problems like chronic headaches, memory loss, vision problems, etc. Preferably with any male character from ATSV
I hope this was detailed enough, thank you for your time:)
It was detailed just fine <3 if there’s any miscommunication or information just lemme know and I’ll fix it! I’m working on writing for a few more ATSV chars but for now it’s only Miles and Hobie! Anyways I think that-
Miles is pretty understanding of your situation. You may have to explain your problems to him in detail but afterwards he’s pretty much got it. He does so much research because he doesn’t want to seem uneducated nor does he want to belittle you accidentally. Makes an effort to help you remember stuff you’re often forgetting, so much so that he’s joked about being your personal assistant. He also carried headache pills in his bag for you for when your head pain starts, even if it only helps a little he’d rather that than you be in pain for any longer than you need to be. Helps you whenever he can with your eyesight, more so whenever you need. Like I said he’s a bit afraid to cross any boundaries so he’ll only help if/when you ask!
Hobie, like Miles, is very understanding when it comes to your memory issues. He’s smart, and uses things like music to help you guide your memory when he can. He never holds things against you when you forget and usually just plans ahead for you. You forgot your jacket on a cold night out? Yeah, he knows, he’s got it covered. Check his bag there’s an extra one there. Loves to play softer tunes for you as to not overstimulate any of your senses. Is always holding your hand as well when you’re in public so you feel a bit safer as well.

Oh yeah I meant to ask, to what extent does social paranoia/self-surveillance/Complexes/etc. affect Janeys & Brakul’s relationship, or their attitudes toward one another/themselves? I remember something written about them not engaging in penetrative sex in relation to Wardi taboos on bodily integrity, which, if not just happening to coincide with personal preference, sounds potentially pretty fraught. (Maybe excessively paranoid, but I want to clarify that this isn’t necessarily a Horny Question)
Not a horny question but as usual my answer is going to be excessively long and detailed so get ready.
Anyway yeahhhh it’s pretty fraught. The bottom line is that they love each other and are also mad horny about it with only a limited number of outlets, which only adds stress to an already stressful situation. They are fully aware that they love each other and there's no 'no homo'ing their way out of this one, but ARE kind of in denial about there being a sexual component to their relationship (which is partly bolstered by the Wardi view on sexuality only considering Full Penetration to actually be 'sex', and they aren't doing that, sooooo....).
With regards to paranoia/self surveillance....
Both of them share a fairly equal concern about status and honor. They are both fully in agreement that many aspects of their relationship have to be secret and that both need to uphold a normative life for high status individuals. The threat of public shaming is a very real concern, and they have killed people over it (duels over slander and impugned honor are legal in some contexts, Brakul extralegally beat a guy to death for it once).
Brakul personally most concerned about other people, and is compelled to avoid doing anything in public that could even be construed as romantic in nature. Wardi cultural norms permit men to be physically affectionate with male friends (kissing on the cheek is a common greeting) but Brakul is pretty hardline Bro Do Not Even Touch Me In Public. He has very few compunctions about anything done in private so long as he doesn't specifically feel emasculated by it.
Janeys is heavily religious and strongly concerned about curses and spiritual pollution (all believers in this faith share this basic tendency, but it tends to be of more pressing psychological concern to the upper classes via impact on social status and honor). His core personal concerns are on the spiritual end of things- belief in curses and spiritual pollution is a very real motivating factor in this culture. Anything he does that is conventionally understood as emasculating or spiritually violating, he has to rationalize and self-justify away.
There’s a tendency among the upper class to imagine the Commoner having a poor, uneducated, and superficial understanding of the religion, and philosophical debates on the nuances of religion is considered an ideal leisure pastime among the educated upper class. So part of Janeys’ self-justification cycle is usually like “I am very smart and knowledgeable, and now that I’m thinking about it the idea that [xyz gay as shit behavior] is spiritually polluting is superstition of the common rabble and missing all the Subtle Nuances”.
It’s kind of like Janeys will laboriously mental gymnastics his way through his various concerns and eventually be like “I Have Discovered That Giving Blowjobs Is Not Spiritually Polluting, (And In Fact Is Very Masculine???) I Will Analyze This Further” and Brakul is like “Ok cool not polluting okay awesome that’s great ok let’s go let's go letsgoletsgoletsgo”
This is a long, slow process. They have been in a relationship where they both want to fuck each other stupid for over a decade without any of that happening, instead just very slowly escalating while being very frustrated about it the whole time.
Sworn brotherhoods such as theirs are upheld by an annual ritual involving bloodletting (the palms are cut, blood drained into wine and mutually imbibed, other stuff happens). It’s a lengthy ceremony and partly supervised by a priest. The first escalation is they started doing this like, monthly on their own. It feels intimate and scratches an itch for physical and psychological closeness.
This escalated into performing a ‘’’condensed’’’ version of the ritual, which is really just them sitting around and cutting each other with a razor and licking up the blood (while perhaps half-assedly reciting the associated prayers). The underlying factor is they always need to have some excuse that does not ‘shame’ them- in this case, they have decided that their frequent exchange of blood keeps their bond soooo strong and powerful and that they're like, the best sworn brothers ever.
This blood shit is UNQUESTIONABLY sexual for them and is a physical outlet for sexual frustration. And it does eventually escalate to them finally getting off (‘weird blood shit’ was their first base, ‘doing weird blood shit and frantically dry humping to completion and then not talking about it’ was their second, ‘kissing on the mouth’ was like, 6th)
This all was worsened by the genius decision of having Brakul knock up Hibrides, who is Janeys’ wife. Janeys has no attraction to women (and also probable fertility issues) so he never succeeded himself. She had passed the expected childbearing age and is utterly miserable in this relationship and was kinda like “uhhh if you won’t let me fucking DIVORCE YOUR ASS you’d better figure something out because you’re shaming ME”, and since sworn brothers effectively ‘share’ wives (IN THEORY this is just a commitment to support your brothers’ wife and children in the case of his death) they came to an agreement that this was NOT Janeys being cuckolded and shamed, as long as no one else finds out.
The lingering after effects of this decision are one of the primary strains on their relationship on a whole number of levels, one of which is Janeys now being intensely jealous of Hibrides for ‘getting to’ fuck Brakul, and that she has had a form of closeness with him that Janeys can never have (not even just the sex but like, conception itself). The feeling of having a metaphysical bond with someone who he sees as stronger than himself makes him feel more secure, and the sense that someone has gotten in the way of that and experienced something 'deeper' is very distressing for him. Brakul also kind of wants to be a father and really, really, really wants a relationship with his bastard children (something which both Janeys and Hibrides prevent him from doing) which really wears on him.
On a personal level, Janeys swings between feeling smugly justified about everything (he's only hiding it because everyone around him is stupid and wouldn't get The Nuances) and like, Oh God I've fucked up so bad I am shamed beyond recognition. Why did you let me do this to myself, this is your fault, you made me like this, etc etc etc. (This is especially the case when he suffers any unusual misfortune, seeing it as signs of a curse).
Brakul can usually weather this out (and is also very good at logically assuaging his concerns), but it's very draining on him. He shares the core belief in spiritual pollution, but he doesn't share the experience of actually Feeling dirty or shamed by things only they know about. They get into a lot of fights (not necessarily explicitly about all this, but it's an underlying tension) and Brakul often just deals with it by up and leaving for days on end until Janeys is miserable enough to not be upset. Brakul also has some alcohol abuse issues and could be diagnosed with clinical depression (not entirely because of this, but it doesn't help).
Another bottom line is just like, after over a decade in vehement denial that they are fucking each other, the notion of 'actually fucking each other' has kind of an outsized weight to it. Objectively (BY WARDI CULTURAL STANDARDS) they have ENTIRELY and thoroughly shamed each other and are riddled with spiritual pollution, and taking it up the ass couldn't make it any worse so might as well. But they haven't quite got there.
So yeah this is kind of all over the place but I think this answers the question???????
#It should be noted that all this is not an exercise of ‘what would it be like to be a gay man in this setting?’ but instead#‘what would it be like for these specific guys - who are freaks - to be gay men in this setting?’#Also I have to introduce Hibrides soon she’s an important character.#I have engaged in the (wildly masturbatory) practice of imagining your thing has a fandom and what the bad fandom takes would be#and am pretty convinced that she’d get a lot of hate.#shes trapped in a miserable relationship with a guy who is abnormally misogynist (in an already patriarchal culture) and also HATES HER and#she doesn’t even want kids but societal pressure (and Janeys publicly blaming her for not having children and claiming she was infertile)#gets her to agree to this whole scheme. He wants nothing to do with her and vice versa but he won't let her get a divorce because it would#be humiliating for him. She’s really going through it#but I also don’t want her to be a pure innocent victim and the end result is a character that some people would definitely be like#‘ummm wow horrible homophobic bitchwife :/’ about#brakul red dog#janeys haidamane

“Dr.Ratio with a student who has an attitude…”
Babes this is 900+ words... I've put out another one, AGAIN.
- So, you are a member of the Intelligentsia guild, studying under Dr. Ratio’s class. At first you were like, “I think he’ll embody the “🤓” emoji while at the same time insulting the fuck out of me until I get it right 🙄. You were not wrong… Dude basically walked up to class one day and decided that everyone was “uneducated” without even taking a single look at you guys… Yeah… And that was the day you decided, y’know what, this old man will not be the cause of my 13th reason… Not me… I paid for this and I’m getting out of here with my diploma, bitch 💅. - Days with the old man is literal hell. Like, he will NOT give you guys a break… I can imagine all the work you guys do with this old man and leaving you guys to figure it out so you guys get “educated” like be serious right now he is not PLAYING at all. Literally the worst but, he does make sense… Sometimes. Me thinks he is not bad, but just a really, really, strict teacher… Terror professor vibes… That’s what I’m getting. I mean, bro would insult you “lowkey” and would not gaf about your comebacks… At all… So, it’s lowkey pointless to argue back because dude will literally just say one word… And that’s it… - The number of students dropping his class is INSANE. If you look to your side, you would only see either one or two people in the class meaning, the class is looking almost empty… If not for the toughest students like you guys… Congrats on not dropping out and still continuing to go through the old man’s class like… This is kind of a test for mentality and how long you guys would hold out… Me thinks, that you are definitely going to develop anger issues with this man… And some other mental illnesses you might catch during his lectures…
- If you manage to be one of the excelling students in his class that’s when he would start talking to you and you’re like… No way this old man suddenly decided he wanted to chat with me right now… Me thinks you’re going to be acting up the whole time… The conversations would start with stuff about the class and will end with how the lectures went for you. Oh boy… The way you DID NOT hold back on the feedback…You literally went off with your unresolved anger issues on him and the other mental illnesses you caught while under his guidance and bro just said “interesting.” All that for one word… Smh… - The next meeting went surprisingly… Smooth? Like the man suddenly decided he would be less insulting and more on… Lecturing…? What did this old man EAT??? You basically just sat there and side eyed him the whole time. Did the old man got possessed? That is what you were thinking halfway through the lecture until he called you out to answer his question so you had to snap out of it for a while sis… But alright, you’ll take it rather than the usual poorly disguised “constructive criticisms” you’d get every single damn time. You are very fortunate that you even got a score rather than the others that get 0’s or even negatives… Not saying you that smart but, you were just really good at what you’re doing me thinks… - There are only a few people that would catch the old man’s eye… So, consider yourself lucky to be “breathing” in the same air as him as he himself would say… Yeah, I think the urge of punching the old man and dropping out is at an all time high now… Or, if you’re too down bad for this man I think you would rather smooch him instead…? But idk man he’s kind of… Though I think you need to get therapy if you like getting berated or nagged by this old man all the time… He gives me Asian parents vibes… - Anyhow, time skip to the second semester and the class is FULL, yet again… You lowkey wished that it would be half empty again so fewer annoying people to deal with and fewer of the old man’s copies… I kid you not there are probably clones of him in the class… You can handle the old man but if my classmates were carbon copies of the old man, I would start throwing hands ngl… During the duration of the semester, you have seen… Students getting kicked out LITERALLY by the old man himself like, he just YEETED out a kid that wanted to bribe him for a slot in his class yikes… Or that one time some dude was caught slacking so he did the L thing to measure air idk??? And threw the guy like he was catapulted in angry birds... So many things happening in his class that you find yourself enjoying it now kind of??? Minus the usual hell that you would do every day though, that’s still insane and is not for the faint of heart… - So, TL;DR only sign up if you’re ready for to catch mental illnesses in his class… Tbh me thinks you get more negatives than benefits but it’s all good??? Somehow??? You get to flex that you graduated in HIS class??? And like now you’re desensitized, although you caught some mental illnesses on the side... But still, congrats?!?!

HIII So I’ve been at the Otakuthon and as I said, Toshio Furukawa (Portgas D. Ace’s japanese voice actor) was there! ❤️
I went cosplaying Ace, like this:
I couldn’t get his autograph because I was too late and there was a limit of people, I didn’t know. I cried but then ran to assist his panel!
To his panel, he did Ace’s dying moment and I cried, of course. Then I had the chance to ask him a question!
My question: I’m thinking about Ace’s last moments. Whenever you have to record an emotional moment like this, does it takes many takes during the recording or it’s one shot because it’s very emotional?
His answer: First, no one told him that Ace was going to die so he was like "why no one told me?" And everyone told him "we couldn’t tell you!" And he woke up this morning, not wanting to go work. He was thinking "today I’m dying". But ofc he went. Then, recording it, it took 3 takes. Because at the beginning he was thinking "he got a hole in his chest, I’ll do it like he struggle breathing." But they told him to change it because Ace was very strong but happy during his last moments since he was with Luffy. This is why his tone is very "soft".
Another interesting thing he said about voicing Ace was, Ace is very strong so he will be like "Luffy is so reckless and uneducated and stuff" BUT since he loves deeply, he will then soften his tone to say right after "I hope he’s ok" because he do loves his brother very much ❤️
Lastly, before leaving, he came to see me and told me that he really loved my cosplay. And this is where I died ❤️

heyyy i just read one of your recent posts about how the aaa fandom gets pretty weird with stuff sometimes and honestly i couldnt agree more! but i really dont have any knowledge of one of the cast members being a zionist so is it alr if you could tell me who it is please?
Hi anon! Yeah I feel like it’s bound to happen when a fandom expands. Which don’t get me wrong, I love that so many people watched the show and love Agatha (it’s been my dream since WandaVision). It’s just unfortunate a lot of people, mainly shippers, are being so crazy lol.
And of course! I wanna preface this by saying I’m not trying to spread hate, these are just things I personally have seen. I do not know Aubrey Plaza, nor would I really want to know her, but she signed a Zionist letter last October thanking Biden for all he was doing for Israel. I’ve seen so many of her stans spreading misinformation and claiming it was a fake letter, but it’s not. She’s also liked posts from people like Sarah Silverman (someone who posted defending Israel for cutting off the water supply to Gaza which is…wow what a thing to post publicly damn).
Like I said, I don’t know her and she very well could just be uneducated, but I don’t fw with her, personally. I also think it’s more important to actually spread resources and donation links and attend protests and boycotts than address celebrities Zionist tendencies. Buuuut it’s always funny to me how Aubrey stans will “cancel” other celebrities for being Zionists, until someone points out how Aubrey is also one. Hypocrisy at its finest.
Sorry for the ramble, anon, but thank you for sending in an ask! Hope you’re well <3

Aaaaaaaa i feel so awkward asking this but I want to make sure that I interpret his character right and don’t mess up already scarce representation for aromantic people sooo
How does Orlam experience/express/feel his aromanticism? I’ve been doing a little bit of reading about to to educate myself more since I’ve realised my understanding of what romantic attraction is(as opposed to other types of attraction which I find easier to define) is embarrassingly surface level. From what I’ve gathered, I’ll attempt to phrase my understanding of Orlam in this aspect and all I want you to do is correct anything im wrong about or add anything else you think is important to him in this regard ty!!!
I’m assuming Orlam uses the term aromantic literally, and not as an umbrella term? Ofc I may be wrong, and I’m not requiring giving him additional labels because they’re always optional-I just want to make sure that he doesn’t experience romantic attraction like, at all? Or are there exemptions?
In the case that he doesn’t experience romantic attraction at all, I assume he enjoys what would otherwise be considered romantic gestures(since he oftentimes displays these as a character) for reasons that don’t involve them actually causing feelings of attraction for him? Like he enjoys traditionally romantic things like flirting, flowers, writing poems(maybe, idk, he seems like the type from how fancy he likes to talk, esp to Iggy in his routes) but they don’t cause him romantic feelings?
Perhaps he enjoys making others feel romantic attraction/fuzzies in general while not experiencing it personally himself? Or does he enjoy romantic reciprocation in a way that isn’t inherently romantic?
I’m trying to think of anything else to ask but this ask is already long af and probably complicated to unpack so I’ll leave this here. Once again sorry if I sound uneducated(because I admit, I have long ways to go in properly understanding the topic >.<) thank you so much in advance, I just want to make sure I properly understand Orlam as an aromantic character
orlam doesn't use any labels, I'll be honest LOL he hates labels in general (like he doesn't even see himself as "bisexual" either). but if I gave him one it would be grayromantic, mostly because even he doesn't really know or understand how he feels when it comes to romantic attraction (and he doesn't want to understand, he just wants to live however he feels like it at any point in time without labeling it)
it's hard for me to describe in detail something like an orientation like this because it's all very complex. and particularly with Orlam he's very capricious. I think that he enjoys classy romantic gestures because he's a classy theatrical guy and doing stuff like that is fun for him. he loves to be dramatic and over the top. and he likes to make others feel good too. does he also get some romantic thrill out of them? unsure. even he is unsure. but he does know that the ways he tends to feel about other ppl, even those he's attracted to, seem to be different from how he's heard others describe and talk about, or the ways he's seen others act. but he doesn't really know (or care) in what way. and he forms connections in his own way
I feel like this is a vague answer and that's honestly because I don't really know a better way to explain it and him but that's just how I've always felt about Orlam as a character

aita for kind of getting a guy kicked our of our college’s theatre program?
i (20ftm) have been doing theatre all my life, including at my local community college where i’m an art student. i’m openly trans and don’t pass particularly well, but i have a really good voice, so i’m usually able to swing pretty good roles.
last fall i played mr. green in our production of clue: the musical. mr. green is a very masculine role. there was a guy(21M) in our ensemble, who i’ll call A, who regularly said some pretty off-color stuff to me. he made several mocking comments about how i needed to wear a prosthetic beard for my costume instead of being able to grow my own, frequently pointed out how i always have to take the high harmony, and made a joke that it was misogynistic for someone to assume i don’t like sports (context: that person was saying i don’t like sports— which is true— cause i’m a thespian and artist. A was implying that i was a woman and so it would be sexist to assume i didn’t like sports).
all of those comments combined with the usual stress of shows really damaged my mental health during our run, to the point of having a panic attack backstage halfway through act 1 one night. our costume designer overheard a couple of these incidents and saw how it affected me, and spoke to the director about it. the director later pulled me aside and asked how i thought this should be dealt with. i told her that i didn’t know what the protocol in this kind of situation was, but that she should think about how A would handle being in our next show, RENT. i said that someone who has that kind of attitude towards me just going about my business might not be mature enough to be a part of a show that deals with such heavy queer themes. she agreed with me and said he wouldn’t be invited back to audition for rent, and he hasn’t auditioned for any other shows since.
the thing is, i really don’t think A was being malicious at all in his comments. i think he thought it was light-hearted ribbing and didn’t realize he was crossing the line. i had a conversation with him after clue closed and he had been talked to by our director, and he seemed genuinely apologetic and willing to learn from his mistakes. i don’t think he meant his comments to be as hurtful as they were, he was just uneducated and apparently unexposed to trans people.
on the other hand, he was also not a good actor at all, and an even worse singer/dancer lol. A is still a film student at our college (which is very closely connected to the theatre department), so i know that he’s still involved there (mostly directing, i’m pretty sure)
tl;dr: a guy i was in a musical with made some transphobic comments to me, probably without even realizing it, and he’s since been kind of shunned out of our college’s theatre program. aita?
What are these acronyms?

I know as proshippers we get a lot of “brain rot” comments and shit
But… Uhm… who the ever-loving fuck shat into people’s minds that 80% of the self-ship blogs I saw in the #f/o are anti-shippers?
Excuse me but how the hell does “pro-shippers DNI” go together with self-shipping
It’s right in the name!
If you self-ship, you obviously support shipping characters! And from what I saw many self-shippers are minors or otherwise age their fictional others up/ down
I feel like I’m stuck in the Patrick wallet meme
Pro-Ship is just the shipping equivalent of KINKTOMATO – “your ship is not my ship and that’s okay!”
Pro-Ship means nothing more than “ship and let ship” aka. “if I don’t like your content I’ll stay the fuck away and we don’t bother each other.”
How does “pro-shippers deserve horrible things” go on your cutesy “I ship myself with this character and they are my fictional other” side-blog??
Hello-oh?! Cognitive dissonance anyone?!
I’m just fed up with seeing anti-shippers everywhere and never knowing whether they are the uneducated kind (like most of these self-ship bloggers seem to be) or the dangerous kind who harass and doxx people over something as inane as fictional characters. I have read enough thread containing death threats and doxxing, even swatting! Anti-shippers are dangerously deranged in their fight for so-perceived “justice”. Over fictional characters where age is LITERALLY just a number.
Because they are made up.
Because they aren’t real.
Because they are words/ lines on a page and accordingly their age is just a made-up number as well!
Like, even if – even if – I’m into dirty bad gross disgusting ships, it shouldn’t matter because no matter what fucked-up shit I ship or don’t, it’s literally just lines on paper or a digital artwork on a screen. Pro-ship means “ship and let ship” nothing more and nothing less.
So it’s your business whether you are into stuff I find disgusting. And it’s my business if I’m into stuff you find reprehensible.
Pro-ship is just the stance of “idgaf what you ship, whatever it is you get your rocks off to”. And – I can’t repeat this often enough – we are talking about FICTION. No people were harmed in the making of this media. Characters can be aged up or aged down or aged sideways for all I care, they are characters! They aren’t real! You can not hurt them in a way that impacts the real world!
I know there is stuff in fanfic I find revulsive, that grosses me out and makes me run for the exit-button. But the stuff I read probably does the very same thing for other people. (I’m not going to admit to what precisely I read, that’s my business)
Just, even if we are talking about all that gross, reprehensible, sick, revulsive E-rated shit… let people enjoy the porn fanfic they like, even if it makes you squeamish to even think about it.
It’s not my business what other proshippers are into, whether they wank to it or just like to read it for literary analysis. I don’t give a fuck because all I need to know is Their Ship Is Not My Ship And That’s Okay! Their Kink Is Not My Kink And That’s Okay!

🏺👑Venturequeen headcanons!! 👑🏺
I actually have a relationship origin story planned out but I’m not sure how I’m gonna share it yet. For now, have this! I hope you can see the vision.
- Their relationship is pretty ideally distant. Venture is almost always traveling but stays with Odessa a lot of their off time. This works out well for Dez because she has a lot of responsibilities as Queen, and doesn’t have a lot of time to spend with a partner.
- This also makes them both super motivated in life because they have so much to look forward to.
- Venture is the perfect person to help Dez change for the better. They do not fight Dez about her beliefs, but they do not let them go unchallenged. They only ever counter with facts and express them just like they do with facts about archeology. Odessa has never experienced that. Her life experience has only been aggressive challenges meant to prove dominance. Ventures educating take is a big difference, and it changes her perspective greatly.
- Dez LOVES to hear Venture yap about history. She was very uneducated about world stuff/history and didn’t care to learn until now.
- Venture's obvious passion makes history and archaeology suddenly so interesting to Dez.
- Venture does not find Odessa’s rudeness attractive, and makes it known. That makes Dez both consciously and subconsciously start to work on her character.
- Venture brings a gift every time they come back from a trip. Odessa has a mantle where she keeps everything.
- Dez starts seeing interesting things everywhere she goes. Venture taught her new ways to see the world.
- Venture brings an incredibly wholesome energy to the Junkers and it makes an impact on the city as a whole, both from them directly, and from their influence on the Queen.
- Odessa and Venture both can, and enjoy to, lift each other. Dez can carry venture pretty effortlessly, while Venture can pretty much just deadlift Dez and she thinks that’s so cool.
- Venture likes to get piggyback rides
- Venture is the first person Odessa asks to call her Dez since she was a wastelander. Venture does not learn this for a while.
- Venture likes to surprise Odessa with visits. This occasionally includes fun entrances such as dropping in through the window, climbing shit, or carefully tunneling in ways that don’t destabilize the infrastructure.
- Venture loves to sit on Dez’s lap, or between her legs.
- People in overwatch are aware of Venture having a girlfriend for a while, and once people realize it’s The Junker Queen, their minds are absolutely BLOWN. Venture never says it specifically, but someone finally puts the pieces together. And it becomes a hot topic for a while, including when Venture isn’t around.
- Venture REALLY likes Hammond but it’s not mutual
- The Wayfinders are not very happy about Ventures frequent visits to Australia, but it does not interfere with their work so there isn’t any real reason to complain.
- Once the Wayfinders know Venture is visiting a partner, they reluctantly accept the frequent visits, and don’t bother to care about it anymore.

Honestly, with that last bit of the latest chapter, I kept thinking about that time Galois was talking to one of the turtles (I’m not sure who anymore) about how corporal punishment was bad for child development, hence why his father Draxum didn‘t discipline him that way and how interesting it was that Splinter did smack them once in a while. It really paints Splinter as the worse parent between the two…until you remember how ‚Galois‘ came to be
I've mentioned this before, but this is really where both their backgrounds and knowledge come to a head. Draxum is Norse, born after the Viking Age-but as we've seen, the Yokai are typically slow to change with the times-and I picture his childhood and culture to be pretty similar to that of Viking-era Scandinavia. And Viking children were actually very gently-raised, despite the reputation of Viking warriors. (I realize that Vikings refer specifically to the warriors and everyone else would be Viking-era Scandinavians, but considering the Faroes aren't technically Scandinavia I'm just using it as a catch-all term) They were mostly raised by their mothers, and while they worked like any other non-aristocrat child would in that age they understood the importance of play and allowing kids freedom to grow and discover themselves, and corporal punishment was not common. They were usually quite close with their parents as well, despite their fathers being away from home so often-Viking warriors would wear necklaces made of their children's shed baby teeth for luck in battle.
Add to that, Draxum is highly educated and child development is one of his areas of study-not what he specialized in, but it was relevant to his work in public health-and the Yokai were more advanced that humans in many subjects for most of history, so the lack of benefits of corporal punishment has been known the the Yokai for a while. (the Yokai also didn't really have Dark Ages or periods of religious fanaticism that choked progress-they had some, but they weren't as widespread and their ability to remain connected through magic negated a lot of the repercussions and allowed the rest of society to keep progressing while they got that out of their system) And, to be completely fair here, Draxum has one kid. That he kidnapped as a teenager, already fairly self-sufficient and didn't need to be taught how to take care of himself. He was able to give Bella and Pax back to their parents for the hard stuff, and by the time they came to live with him full-time Bella was seventeen and Pax just kind of did his own thing, they were both very independent kids who didn't require a lot of hands-on parenting. So he was extremely well-prepared for this fatherhood thing, and got to skip the really tough stuff to boot.
Splinter, meanwhile. Hamato Yoshi was raised with the belief that the world would literally end if he didn't dedicate his life to fighting, if he wasn't willing to die and sacrifice those he loved for the cause. And he was primarily raised by his grandfather, so assuming Yoshi was born somewhere around 1960-65 (which would make him early forties in 2005 when the turtles were 'born' and he was mutated, fitting in with his decade in the Battle Nexus and his acting career spanning from his late teens to early thirties) it's likely that Grandpa Sho was born 1900-1920. So...pre-WWII Japanese guy, in a rural area. Obsessed with tradition and willing to sacrifice his own daughter for the clan. I think it's a pretty safe bet to say he was a proponent of physical discipline, and Yoshi was raised pretty harshly.
He's uneducated, having dropped out of high school to move to the US and pursue his acting career, and never expected to have kids. He wanted his line to end with him, I even mentioned that he got a vasectomy when he was with Big Mama because he didn't want any surprises. He did tons of drugs, lived a violent life even before being forced to fight in death matches, and never once gave a thought to how he'd parent. Until he suddenly became a single father of four.
And he did it with zero help. He didn't have the knowledge Draxum had, no social services that would give him free diapers and no babysitters to let him catch some sleep. He didn't even have a home at first, he had to search for a place to keep them safe and hidden and scavenge for food and toys, all while juggling four kids. His kids were super-soldiers, designed to hurt people-and when they got old enough to rough-house, it became very clear that they could hurt each other. And Splinter had to stop Raph from putting his brothers through the drywall because god knows he can't take them to a hospital, and a quick slap hurts less than if Raph had to live with accidentally maiming or killing one of his brothers.
So to me, it was less of a choice and more that corporal punishment was the only way Splinter really knew how to parent. He was exhausted and didn't know how to talk to kids and if he didn't get his point across it could have disastrous consequences for them. So he raised them much in the way his grandfather raised him. It keeps them alive, and Splinter doesn't really have the luxury of prioritizing anything else. After a while he becomes numb to it. So the O'Neils criticizing his use of corporal punishment makes him mad, because it's real easy for them to say that when they hadn't gone through what he had. He did the best he could. How dare they say it wasn't good enough.

asks about palestine
I know I keep posting memos every two days now but clearly they’re still very much needed. 1. let me be clear, when a humanitarian crisis is ongoing, if you’re a human being it is absolutely on you to speak up. 2. everyone can do SOMETHING. whether you’re a journalist, a poet, an engineer, a pilot. Use your skills in support of the cause.
3. My friends and mutuals can attest to this: I've struggled to figure out if it’s worth having these discussions openly on here because, as you guys can see, any time that I do that, things get insane very quickly. But, as we are now well over 200 days of genocide and ethnic cleansing, an astounding number of people remain uneducated. I never know what the reach of this blog is. Obviously I’m a matty healy smut account. Not a celebrity or public figure. But if anything I, or anyone else, have to say can help teach even one more person, then it’s probably worth it.
4. I’ve put together several lists of resources over the last few months. Including this and this. I’m happy to including Israeli news outlets (that do journalism not peddle propaganda) if yall would be interested. Let me also recommend, once again, Hasan Piker’s coverage. He’s covered Israel-Palestine for 10+ years now. Since his days at TYT, way before twitch. So he has a lot of info and context to offer that you won’t get from more recent contributors. His YouTube channel consists of long videos (1 hour+) taken from his streams. His editors take the time to go fact check and cite the stuff that he says off hand. So you can get more sources that way too.
5. with all that in mind, I’m happy to keep this discussion open and ongoing. If you want to learn more, ask questions, discuss things, I’m happy to do it. WHAT WE WILL NOT BE DISCUSSING HOWEVER IS WHETHER OR NOT PEOPLE SHOULD CARE. The humanity and dignity of Palestinian lives has never been and will never be up for debate. If you spout rhetoric that approaches that territory, I reserve the right to delete your asks.
FINAL NOTE: it’s important to remember that Zionism, like many other forms of fascist propaganda, has been ingrained in many people’s thinking as a result of western culture’s imperial ambition. It takes time to unshackle yourself from that sort of thing. Especially if you’re Israeli or grew up around the conflation of Judaism and Zionism. Be patient and respectful to others.

Kachina’s name is funny
Its 2 am and i cant stop thinking about this and i need to get it out bc every single time i look at her name i think of this and can’t even enjoy the storyline aaaaaa lmao
So! We’ve seen that genshin has a history of making up the most bizarre names ever, like idek what happened after inazuma or if sumeru’s names are this funny (idk much about the region it’s inspired in so forgive me for being uneducated), BUT, i do know this: there’s a poor npc in fontaine literally called Book, just Book, wtf genshin, there’s a lot of npcs and pplcalled weird things, and with Natlan that’s wven more obvious that while genshin team does great stuff for plotlines and inspiration for each region, they just say WHATEVER WHEEEEE for names. Bc, who calls themselves/their children Boba? Like wtf?! I’m not even mad about it just why??
I play the game in spanish btw, and Boba is like calling yourself silly or stupid, a friend told me that the English equivalent was also something along those lines so we know this is on purpose? Again wtf lmao
Then there’s the npc called Umi, isn’t that ocean in japanese? And said npc is from the ocean tribe dont get me wrong, if we want to make an accurate “inspiration” from America (America is a continent, ill throttle the person that says its a country thanks) it makes sense to have lots of names that come from different places bc we do have a mix of cultures that resulted in today’s life, but it doesn’t make any sense in Natlan’s whole description, bc these ppl are described as ppl that don’t go out of their country at all? They do receive visitors and i imagine one or two would probably want to stay but it’s still strange, noted, Umi is not the only strange name i’ve seen but i dont keep a notebook with all of genshin’s lore/plot/naming/etc holes bc i would have to make it a full time job. So far a couple things make no sense to me, BUT ALSO! Natlan is culturally rich and filled with stuff i approve, i mean, i like it so far, the legends, myths and way of interaction between characters is rivh and meaningful, i especially loved a quest about a shadow needles bc it felt like revisiting old myths from my memory!
the main quest relating to Kachina is also very interesting and despite it being complete fiction, the way the underworld is constructed is also reminiscent of myths and legends - ik its not called underworld, sorry, its 2am i forgot the name - that place felt to me like one of the scary tales ppl traditionally tell each other but with a very Teyvat element mixed in, and that’s good in my book
there’s also the apparent mix of maya, inca and aztecas in culture and storytelling? And its also true that America has more stories about wars and warriors known to ourselves and the rest of the world? I’d probably have much more to say about this if i had slept, but there are no towns named Fighting soul in my country for no reason, which i find funny and sad af bc wars are shitty excuses to steal and do awful awful things, but whatever. There’s also the way they captured the behavior of ppl in the coasts, kudos to them for that, obviously things irl are not always that good or pretty and some parts of America do have a lot of poverty bc corruption is also shit, but it is true that ppl (i’ve met) in the coast is much mote laidback than in the city, more prone to random music and parties and dancing, big big parties too, the surf part i have never seen in my country so no comments there
some stuff (like the food) is a bit so so for me (im still wondering where shrimp tacos were invented wtf, there’s also too much corn which i find hilarious), and im not even gonna talk about the saurian stuff bc his post is already long enough without talking about Kachina
anyways! in general i really liked it.
now, why is Kachina a weird name for me?
Bc my mother tongue is Spanish
the thing is, idk how many countries with spanish as their main language would have this two problems (or three…maybe)
nunber 3 and less important is the K, it’s overused in Natlan and i find it funny bc many ppl here use the c instead, the k it’s actually more rare in names unless your name is Katheryn or unusual (i once heard the name Ikza and I believe its cool, just not common)…just a thought but: Quinich sounds too much like Quiche so that’s why ill allow Kinich but the qu is way more vommon
number 2 the Ka is just fine, but the China. I just…China is a countey and I can’t help but think of it! Especially bc in spanish it aounds the exact same
number 1 and my biggest concern wity her name, and this is way more personal but I JUST CANT UNSEE IT! In my country we sometimes refer to young ppl as chino or china which is also the way to call ppl from China (probably not coincide but I haven’t researched why this happened to the slang in the first place) so maybe when someone is not listening to you or when they are being tricky or hot headed its bot rare flr someone else to say “¡Este chino/a!” Like saying “this little troublemaker!” Or smth like “¡esta china no hace caso!” Which means “this girl won’t listen/obey!” You could even say “la china de allá” which would mean you are pointing to a girl that is most definitely not chinese but it’s in your field of vision
its not used to denigrate anyonebut it is commonly used as slang by both adults and kids, sometimes even elderly will use it but in more informal situations…
this is why, it feels so damn weird to keep reading and hearing Kachina, sometimes i think im reading ‘pa aca china” kinda “come here kid” and other times im reading the equivalent of ka-girl
I obviously don’t blame the developers or genshin team for not knowing this (i do blame them for Poisson-Fish, Livre-Book, Boba-Silly, etc etc) but i just cant unsee it, even in serious situations its so weirdly funny and awkward
im re-baptizing her Kachi in my mind
someone save me from this misery 😂😂😂😂
#genshin impact#natlan#kachina#rambles#send help#i need sleep but this is choking me#ted talk about genshin ig#Sorry about the long thing#the reason is at the very bottom actually
