I honestly cannot remember if I have posted this here already or not but the light was catching it really well so if I have, have another.

This was done by my neighbor in the house I grew up in. Her family gave away the art she had done before they took her back to Japan, and one of my family members got this for me as a gift.

It’s so beautiful, and apparently it was also one of the few paintings she had like this. Most were based on her experience in living in Hiroshima after the bomb dropped. In that context, it’s always felt even more precious.

#I have very few memories of her but she was always very nice and came to the international day at our school #even though she didn’t have any children or grandchildren attending #she was always so excited to share her culture #I’m not sure if she’s still alive #but if she is #I hope she’s doing well

My second externship ended on Friday, bringing two amazing months with whales and dolphins (and pinnipeds, penguins, parrots, sharks, stingrays, otters, octopus, turtles, and a whole lot of fish) to a close. I learned so much and was so honored to have the chance to work with these beautiful animals and the talented, dedicated people who care for them!

Just one month until I’m Dr. Mando!

I think it’s just hitting me that this is a proper production not just a 1 hour performance at a convention this is very very exciting

Oh also just to point out for people: this definitely means they won’t be stage dooring. Only 3 hours between matinee and evening which includes a m&g and after the evening show they’ll be knackered so please don’t expect them to hang around stage door ❤️
