Honestly, I love Mammon but I'm sick of his sweetness. I see him EVERYWHERE, and it's like the others don't exist. I like it when characters lose their calm you know? Alright, sure, they can still be sweet, but imagine if they ACTUALLY were dark characters. Corrupting human souls, selfish desires, blah blah. I'm not saying they can't love mc, ofc they can be sweet and lovable, but that doesn't mean they'd lose their normal habits and quirks. You cannot differentiate between them and normal humans now. The traits that would portray them as demons isn't there.

And perhaps yes, routes would've been fun. Right/wrong answers? Seems legit lmao. But like you said, the characters could've been done so much better.

I liked them at the start, now that I think of it asmo was never really what he seemed to be at the start, but in the recent events to me, at least, he's all but that. Diavolo, Barbatos, they have potential to be dark characters lmao. Asmo too, esp abt Helene, he sure was manipulative. Seeing Satan just be about cats/books upsets me bcuz he's one of my favs, and like you said, I feel he could've been a MUCH better character, plus idk he seems like he could be dark too. Other than beel & mammon, and I really don't know about belphie since he's become pretty sweet now, I feel everyone else could be written as characters with darker, more fitting demon personalities.

Don't worry about it, I really enjoy talking about it and I'm the queen of rambling lol. It's actually kinda hard for me to be concise when it comes to things like this.

And yes! Satan's reaction to rejection was exactly what I was thinking about when I mentioned that. I don't doubt most of the others would've reacted the same either tbh, but the difference between his reason for wanting to kill MC and his brothers' felt very different imo.

I'm kinda repeating myself, but I think people really overlook how cold Asmo was regarding getting MC killed. In that sense I can see how they get along with each other so well. I think I huge part of that is people coming in knowing that they're all gonna love MC and MC can't die so they don't even think about threats or subtle manipulation, but he's one of the most malicious imo since it was so cool-headed and planned.

Kind of like the theories about Barbatos and/or Diavolo purposefully sending you to a traumatic death because executing Belphie would cause the brothers to revolt. (Which I believe to extent btw.) Those four stand out as a lot more demonic imo because they can't be called crimes of passion. I miss the days where they both just casually admitted to taking part in a torture dungeon.

Personally I love the idea of unavoidable demonic corruption. Like the "tragic lovers suffering from fate" trope but where the demon isn't just an innocent victim that can't control it at all and MC doesn't just take it happily without consequences.

I'm not against MC suffering the consequences of a demon boyfriend, far from it, but even if you don't go the direct route there's so many ways to do it.

Even just slowly losing your morals because all the demons (and old-ass human with some most likely odd moral quirks, if only from being alive so long in horrible times) around you treat horrible things as something as mundane as breathing. Even if they snap back at least acknowledging it is a huge step up.

I'd be terrified and paranoid 24/7 knowing everyone around me wants to literally eat me and has eaten humans before. Even if they hated the taste or something knowing they're capable of it is scary af.

Like a Beelzebub who truly doesn't mean to hurt MC but doesn't think twice about breaking their beloved pet's bones right in front of them. A Beelzebub that finds it just as hard to avoid eating humans as he did in the intro even when he knows he shouldn't harm MC's family.

Or even just a Beelzebub so wracked by guilt and light on morals that can't bring himself to not always enthusiastically take Belphie's side even when he knows it's hurting MC. A kind of parasitic relationship where Beel guilts MC into staying and helps Belphie trap & manipulate them in ways Belphie could never do by himself.

A Leviathan that finds it increasingly hard to keep his jealously inwards now that he has someone to fight for and can't feel secure unless he can feel their envy. A Belphegor that slowly manipulates MC into abandoning all of their responsibilities and friends until their life is ruined and they have to depend on him.

I get that some of them are a bit harder to do without reminding people of irl abuse they may have faced, namely Satan, Levi, Lucifer, and ofc Asmo, but there are ways to make it more supernatural and less mundane. Besides there are way, way worse otomes out there that don't even market themselves as dark like Obey Me did.

I find it interesting that so much of the fanbase absolutely hates those kind of themes when they're so hard to avoid in otome and it was kind marketed towards people who like it. Like I genuinely wonder how they heard about it and got through demons insulting & trying to kill them in the early days of Obey Me before you knew they got better.

In the end though none of that can really happen without routes imo. Those kind of storylines can't be done well in the 10 seconds of individual interaction we get, even a whole lesson is too little time. And again even people who like darker things might freak out when Asmo's the one doing it or get turned off by Levi so they won't risk their money. It's so frustrating seeing the lost potential and knowing it's probably never gonna happen.

Speaking of I always thought Mammon was pretty robbed too. Not only did he never have the same freedom to harm MC as the others, but he was also directly responsible for their safety. Like sure they'd all be punished, but you have a different mindset when an authority figure constantly makes you aware and you have more chances to bond.

I think even cannon Mammon would've been more dangerous and a lot more rude if he wasn't their babysitter. The others, except Satan & Belphie ofc, probably would've been "nicer" and more controlled knowing Lucifer was breathing down their neck too imo.

Like he does seem less violent and hot-headed than the others, but they're not the same circumstances. Even a while after the pact he'd probably sell MC in an instant if he knew he wasn't going to be severely punished.

A lot of his possessiveness feels like a dog guarding a bone rather than true jealously imo, even when they're doing it as endearing thing. People automatically assuming he was lying when he said he'd rather MC die than be saved by someone else, but was he really at that point? Just because someone is tsundere at times doesn't mean they're incapable of being honest or not that into someone.

That's also kinda what I meant by infatuation too. Like sure they could like a human, but that doesn't mean they'll be that upset when they die or will never get bored. It's kind of like those people that immediately get a new pet after theirs dies, or even before so they don't have to be without a dog for a single second. Or the kind of demon that wants to "ruin" you with their sin until you can't go on as the ultimate act of love, even though they know it'll kill you.

They would have killed each other a long time ago, had it not been for their S/O begging them to stop.

Their S/O, of course, would be caught in the middle. If they’re not trying to kill each other every other minute, they’re vying for their attention in the most subtle ways.

Yoriichi, of course, has the advantage of being able to walk in the sun, so he always uses this to get closer to them

Muzan, however, would always use his money and good looks to his advantage. Constantly buys gifts and paying for fancy meals. With him, their S/O doesn’t even have to worry about wanting anything. If they look at anything for just a little too long, it’ll be bought without a second thought.

No doubt that their S/O would still be hauntingly deadly, even as a freshly born demon.

Yoriichi wouldn't be able to hurt any humans, anyways. He feels a strong sense of injustice about being the one to shed blood, though doesn't mind eating them. Food for the machine, right?

If you thought Muzan would be indulgent on knowing every aspect of his lover's lives, you would be correct. He doesn't have much else to do, after all.

Being with both of these men require their S/O to be okay with sitting in one of their laps at all times. Period. End of story.

Muzan thinks his S/O is the most precious demon to ever walk the planet, if he's not busy making heart eyes at Yoriichi for being scorchingly gorgeous.

Hunger. 

It’s all you know, a constant hunger. 

Be be more, to become bigger, stronger, so that ice witch would never lay a finger on you. You must kill more. Vengeance. Hunger.

You smell a new victim entering your forest. You move through shadows with grace towards your target. You gaze upon your prey and suddenly your core runs cold. It was her, your kid, standing there. 

Your body moves on it’s own, slithering towards little girl, like a hungry snake that ready to swallow its prey. You trying to stop this, but hunger is too much! The kid sees you and smiles, waving to you. 

No! Kiddo, run! 

You trying to warn her, to shoo her away, but instead of words only hissing escapes your throat.

You dangerously coil around her tiny body, there is no way she can run away now. Terror and guilt fills you, but you still trying to resist, trying to pull away. But the hunger is too much, too much, too much!

You loom over her. She looks at you.

“Papa?” she tilts her head to the side, confused at what you are doing. Run, please run! Any normal person would be terrified at this moment but not her. The kid loves you, she trusts you with her life.  It was a mistake, a huge mistake! 

You watch in horror are your body open its mouth and ---

Your eyes are wide open!

For few seconds the horrible nightmare faded, revealing that you are not in the forest, but on spaceship. 

You’re currently laying in the mound of pillows, which became the usual spot for you to rest. You  also noticed a blanket wrapped around you tightly. Right. Even though you don't really need it, it’s still comforting being wrapped in something warm and soft. It makes your rest easier...but not this time.

You sigh heavily, you can't get proper sleep a week now. Night terrors are plaguing your mind. They always about the same thing: about you killing the kid. It doesn't matter how, you always end up killing her and she...she never runs away, she never expects you to attack! 

You hate this so much, you still feel terrible about the fact that you tried to kill her in the past. She forgave you, but you can’t forgive yourself. You don’t deserve to be loved, but she thinks you do. You can’t let go, you just cant!

And what makes thing worse that you still can hurt her, by accident! This is what happened a week ago!

You wanted to help her to recover timepieces on unfamiliar planet. There was some corporate asshole, who wanted to use the timepiece for his selfish plans. He was...very much like Vanessa. Obsessive, possessive, entitled, just awful. He thought himself of hero while in reality he was just a garbage! 

That made you snap, you lost your cool and, in few minutes, he was no more.

You took a timepiece, pleased with yourself, but then you saw the kid lying on the floor. Your core sank, you rushed to her side. She looked burned, did this asshole somehow got her? When did this happen? Thankfully, you always carry healing pons with you just in case. The kid sighed in relief when she got healed.

“What happened?!” you asked, still being in shock.

“Oh, I...um..” she looked at you apologetically.” When you got angry at this guy, you unleashed so many lasers! I couldn’t run out on them so quickly, I’m sorry!”

Your eyes widened, it was you! Being in rage, you completely forgot that she was in the room with you! You completely forgot that you need to be careful with your magic! You forgot! 

Kid suddenly hugged your you. Suddenly you became aware of how much you were shaking!

“It’s okay, it was accident!” she pleaded “I know you didn’t meant it! Please don’t be sad!”

“I COULD HAVE KILLED YOU!” you raised your voice, more than you expected. She flinched, but didn't let go!

“Well...but you’ll be careful next time! Right?” 

Yes, after this you became more aware of your surroundings. You made sure that none of your projectiles are in the kids way. But guilt kept eating you away, you wanted to burn yourself to the ground! 

And then those nightmares are started, constantly reminded you that you are horrible monster. You may lie to yourself, thinking that you can be happy, that you can live a fulfilling life. But deep down know that you’re just pretending.

You closed your eyes and try again, maybe if you sleep you’ll feel better. But images of nightmare are still fresh in your tired mind.

So you get up, still wrapped in blanket and float to kid’s bed. You stare at her sleeping form, carefully listening to her breathing. You just need to make sure she’s okay.

“Damn it, please, just let me live!” you whispered to yourself. You don’t wanna be afraid anymore, you’re so tired of this! 

“Snatcher?” she mumbled, her sleepy eyes are looking at you now.

Crap, how did you manage to wake her up?!

“Sorry, kiddo…”

“Are you okay?” she asked, yawning.”You look so sad…”

“I…” you are not sure if you should tell her. Not because you think it’ll make you look weak, but because you don’t wanna burden her. She is a child, adults are not supposed to pour their emotions over small children. Your kid must focusing on growing up and having fun, not dealing with your trauma and fears!

“Did you had a nightmare?” well, she always been smart!

You slowly nod.

“Do you wanna talk about it?”

You shake your head this time. Again, you won't burden her with this. Maybe when she’ll grows up, but not now.

Then you realized something: she’s mirroring you right now. When she has nightmares, you would ask her same questions. You would talk about this as you comfort her, holding her close to your chest.

Then she moves to the side of the bed, patting an empty space next to her. You still no sure, she better be resting right now.

“Kid, you should sleep, I’ll be okay.” you smiled weakly as you got up, trying to move back to pillow mound. But she quickly grabbed your blanket.

“But you always cuddle with me when I have bad dream!” she’s pulling you back towards her.” Why can’t I do the same for you? It’s not fair!”

You turn around to see her pouting at you right now as she keeps pulling the blanket. You can’t help but chuckle a bit, she way too adorable. 

And looks like you can’t argue against this, you know she won’t let go now. So, you made yourself smaller to comfortably fit in her bed. Then you lay next to her, wrapping your blanket around both of you. She snuggles into your mane and lets out sigh of relief as you wrap your arms around her.

In few minutes she fell asleep, completely relaxed against you. You lay a bit longer, listening sounds of the spaceship and her breathing. Having her in your arms relaxed your tormented mind, allowing you finally slip into dreamless sleep.

‘Might As Well’ AU

HEYY so I this is a bullet-fic kinda thing for an AU I’ve created, and unlike my other AUs I’m not going to make a story for it and if I write anything it’ll all be one-shots of certain bits. It's mainly Roloceit with like tiny bits of Moxiety as well.

Roman Guerra is a YouTuber/actor

Horace (Dee) McMullin is a drama teacher

Logan Wright is a science teacher at the same school that Dee works at

Roman and Dee are roommates, and though their relationship has progressed FAR past what anyone would call a friendship, they really don’t care enough to label it or even talk about what they are to each other. They both know they care about the other, and that’s all that really matters.

Roman also tends to rant in Spanish when he gets passionate, and Dee responds by saying the names of ‘Mexican food’ as a reply.

Roman: *talks in spanish*

Dee: *nods* burrito. Quesadilla. Mama Mia.

Roman: that’s not even a food, shut up.

Logan meets Dee through work, obviously, and they quickly become friends

Something about the tall, dramatic, elegant man just drives Logan insane because he’s a little shit once you get to know him and it makes no SENSE

The adorable little science teacher shouldn’t scare Dee as much as he does, but he can’t help it. Something about the way Logan is always composed makes Dee feel like he’s a serial killer or something.

Despite this, they become friends when they discover they both have a passion for psychology and have long discussions about it during lunch and when they hang out on weekends

Dee - as much as he hates it - starts to fall hopelessly in love with the other teacher. He can’t help it, just like he couldn't help but to fall in love with Roman a year and a half earlier when they met. 

Not that he’d told Roman that yet, god no. They’d both dated other people on and off while knowing each other, even if they did end up fucking after every breakup and swearing to each other they were done with the whole relationship thing. 

Roman always found someone else to sweep off their feet, and Dee always found himself hopelessly pining for someone else to make the first move

So, that’s what was happening here, and it was torture.

Logan wasn’t much better, furious that this dramatic drama teacher of all people made him feel so flustered and confused.

Then the day came that Dee brought Logan over for dinner, and he met Roman

Roman greeted him dramatically, filling the entire apartment with his electric energy as he spoke.

Oh god, there’s two of them. Logan realized in terror as the two bickered playfully back and forth, eventually challenging each other to a duel despite the fact they had a guest over.

And like most of their duels, Roman ended up kissing Dee

“Oh,” Logan said, feeling like a complete idiot

“Fuck,” Dee said, realizing that Logan now had the wrong idea

“Maybe later,” Roman said with a wink because he’s a little shit.

Dee just freaking makes a mess of everything and accidentally confesses his feelings for both of them at once and then faceplants on the couch

Roman offers Logan some lasagna because it’s getting cold

Dee feels betrayed 

but joins them for lasagna in a few minutes

Logan is utterly confused and doesn’t know what to say, so he doesn’t say anything

Dee is mortified and wants to jump off the balcony

He and Roman proceed to do the titanic thing and Logan is still very confused but he agrees to take their picture

He’s Like: Sure??? I guess so??? Are we not going to address what just happened??? DOn’T FaLL yOU IDiOTs

Roman thinks it is all hilarious but he must agree that Logan is stunning

He helps to re-explain his and Dee’s relationship because Dee honestly did an awful job

And Logan is like okay

Because it makes sense now even though Roman used many slang words he did NOT understand

Oh my god these two are literally the most chaotic duo he’s ever met and usually Logan HATES chaos but he LOVES this

And so Roman - of course, it’s Roman - is the one to suggest they just go with the flow like he and Dee have been doing for the past year already, if Logan wants to

Logan has no idea what to expect but agrees that he wouldn’t mind

Horace.exe has crashed again

So they start doing whatever the hell it is that they’re doing

And if Roman is a chaos slut with Dee he is a chaos gentleman with Logan and it is BAFFLING he’s still dramatic but he’s overly chivalrous and polite and Dee is annoyed why can’t Roman hold the door open for him instead of holding it closed like a jerk after opening it for Logan

Dee and Logan just keep up their psychology discussions almost constantly and regularly have to ask Roman to finish a debate even though Roman knows NOTHING about psychology

Roman always finds an excuse not to support Dee (in a loving way)

“Roman! Tell Logan that Max Stirner-”

“I’M BUSY MAKING ALFREDO SORRY”

This doesn’t stop Dee from continuing to ask him to back him up

Roman always supports Logan in the debates despite being completely oblivious

“Roman, don’t you agree that-”

“Yes, my love. My darling. Genius whom I would die for. I agree.”

This always causes Logan distress in two ways

One: Roman didn’t listen to what he was agreeing with

Two: he is now super flustered because Roman is continuing to ramble on about how much he loves Logan

Logan turns out to know some Spanish

So now he and Roman have conversations in Spanish and Roman teaches him more and Dee just doesn’t really care

He keeps contributing using food or random words he’s picked up on and it drives Logan and Roman INSANE

And so they start dropping his proper name in conversation to either

One: make Dee think they’re mad because they used ‘Horace’

Two: make Dee think they’re gossiping about him

When really they’re talking about how much they love him OR just saying ‘Horace’ in the middle of a completely unrelated sentence

They stop doing this after they accidentally make Dee legitimately sad

It surprises both of them when they realize he’s crying after they don’t tell him what they were saying

So no more pretending to gossip about each other in Spanish

Roman offers to teach him Spanish

Dee responds to the offer by screaming ‘TORTILLA’ at the top of his lungs

Dee does not learn Spanish

Roman calls them his boyfriends first

In a youtube video title

Without warning them that they were being featured

Because he’s a little shit

Dee freaks out and tries to ask him about it but they just end up making out like they usually do when they try to have a serious conversation

Logan is okay with it and very amused at Dee’s reaction

Dee calls them his boyfriends next when he gets sick

When Dee gets sick he gets freaking delirious

Logan didn’t believe that it was the same person the first time he saw Dee when he was sick

Dee also only responds to Horace, his given name, when he’s sick and it's so hard to talk to him because they never seriously call him that

but Dee is so fucking sappy when he’s like that

And it's just pure and cute and he calls them his boyfriends

Logan calls them his boyfriends last

When introducing him to some other friends when they moved back into town

Patton Foster, a veterinarian

Virgil Storm, a weatherman (shut up he knows it's stupid his boyfriend (Patton) makes enough jokes about it as it is)

Both are baffled at how Logan managed to be dating two completely batshit crazy drama geeks

Once this happens they finally sit down and decide that yeah, they are dating

None of them say it’s exclusive, but none of them really want to date anyone else anymore anyway

Having Logan there to balance out the chaos is exactly what they needed

“I NEED A SNAKE FOR A VIDEO”

“Doesn’t Dee have a pet snake?”

“DEE YOU HAVE A PET SNAKE??”

“You’ve lived together for two years, how do you not know he has a snake in a terrarium in his room?”

“Logan I trusted you.”

“CAN I USE YOUR SNAKE”

“Only if I get to be in the video too, she gets nervous around cameras and she needs me.”

“Snakes don’t know what cameras-”

“DEAL!”

So it's just chaos and thriving in their little apartment

Roman has them in his videos sometimes, which is hugely popular among his viewers

“Hey, youtube! Today we’re throwing wet sponges at my tall boyfriend!”

“Roma- ROMAN GET AWAY FROM ME YOU SAID YOU WOULD WARN ME NEXT TIME”

“If you get water on the floor I’m not cleaning it up also watch out for the outlets you don’t want to get electrocuted.”

“That was my nerd boyfriend. I’d never throw a wet sponge at him, he doesn’t deserve it. Only my tall one deserves it.”

“I HATE YOU BOTH”

Logan and Dee both try to embarrass the other more whilst at work, which only caused a problem one or two times

“I need your help”

“With what”

“...a surprise”

“I told you I won’t help you teach them how to stage kiss anymore you always just kiss me for real and that’s not how it works.”

“But I love you.”

“fine.”

Roman and Dee regularly compete to see who can make Logan more embarrassed from compliments and it usually ends up in a cuddle pile or [REDACTED]

Dee is still positive that Logan is either a serial killer or a robot and that is one reason he enjoys making Logan embarrassed because it's hilarious to see the usually stoic teacher not know what to say

Roman, when he hears this theory, claims that Dee is the actual serial killer and he knows because he’s a ghost that’s just been haunting Dee since he killed him

Logan pretends to believe Roman’s claim and Dee wants to destroy them both.

He does… in a way *cough*

People who met Roman and Dee before Logan got there are baffled when they see either of them or both interacting with Logan

Because Roman and Dee are just CHAOS and DRAMATIC declarations of love (Roman) SCREAMING and sexual jokes (Dee)

Roman and Logan, though, that’s Roman at his most chivalrous. He opens doors, speaks eloquently, bows dramatically and is basically an over the top perfect gentleman

Deceit and Logan, well, no one understands that either because Deceit makes ZERO sexual jokes and he’s quiet and gentle and finally FINALLY he matches the elegant aesthetic he has going on 

And as soon as all three of them are seen together? The dynamic makes sense again

Roman and Dee are gremlins. Logan is the god they worship.

 Logan treats them both equally, as much as he can that is, and Roman and Dee would probably fight to the death for his hand and then end up making out like they always do when they fight to ‘the death’

Even Logan’s friends have only ever seen him express real emotion when he is with one or both of his boyfriends

The rest of the time he is in his robot/serial killer mode

Both Roman and Dee take great pride in this

Logan calls Dee Horace when he wants to make a point and it's usually why he ends up winning debates when Roman isn’t around because it makes Dee frustrated and annoyed so he stops talking

Apologies are made with kisses though

After the three get together, Roman learns a lot more about Dee as a person because believe it or not Dee is good at pretending and keeping secrets

Also they always just used to… sleep… in Roman’s room and not Dee’s but Roman didn’t even notice that and that’s how Dee got away with having a snake in secret for two years until Logan stayed the night in his room.

Roman falls more in love with Dee as a result and visa versa

Logan is awfully amused at this and they know it

Basically, the entire relationship is a HOT MESS

Ben's little face look up at Callum when he says "we still haven't been on that date yet" Ben can't believe that Callum is finally asking him❤ he's so shocked & didn't expect it, but he doesn't want to show his true enlightenment so plays it down with humour. Love that scene.

literally :-( everything abt that scene was so cute :-( i think it got overshadowed a bit bc of everything that happened in the rest of the ep and then the next ep, but we should talk abt it more!!! there’s so much to talk about!!! i’m doin some bullet points bc i have so much to say!!

like the fact that callum realized that despite what he said/how he acted (i.e. being nonchalant abt the whole thing, ignoring callum’s texts etc) ben was lowkey hurt by the fact that callum hadn’t taken him up on his offer for a date and the fact that he blamed him for what happened with whitney (and he had every right to be hurt and angry abt that like! ben didn’t make callum gay lmao)

but callum took it upon himself to actively and persistently seek ben out so he could a) apologize for his behaviour and what he said at the mitchell’s and b) ask him on a date

a date at a gay bar!!

and callum reaching out to touch ben!! like it was only a little thing but it proved that callum had really heard what ben said abt him thinking that callum could only be with him when he’s drunk, and that callum understood how his actions came across and how ben felt and then making the active effort to be like ‘i don’t need to be drunk to touch you and reach out to you and want you or this’… like that more than anything else in that scene makes me super emo bc it was such an important thing for both of them! like callum understanding how his behaviour and what he said had made ben feel and ben understanding that callum didn’t mean to make him feel that way and that he was trying!!! struggling a little with it but he was trying!!!! like ya im crying what of it!!

also ben, despite everything, being understanding of the fact that callum’s relationship w whitney had just ended and that regardless of why it ended, callum still needed time to get over what happened and to adjust

ben being really standoffish bc he was trying to remain Unbothered abt the whole thing bc he was hurt and was no longer expecting anything from callum

callum not giving a fuck that ben ignored his texts and was being standoffish and asking him out anyway

the fact that the second callum is like ‘we haven’t had that date yet’ all of ben’s fake disinterest drops and u can see the genuine surprise on his face like :-( he really didn’t expect it :-(

and ben!! ben’s a shy boy under all that bravado ok you will never convince me otherwise and callum is always bringing out that shy fumbling side of ben and that fucks me up constantly but u can really see it in this scene!! like he’s usually so in control (or he pretends to be lmao) but callum asking him out really knocked him for six and u could tell!!! it was so obvious!! and then he tried to cover it up w humour like he always does but it was so obvious anyways :-( 

idk callum always making ben so shy kills me :-(

and the ‘it’ll just be about me and you, no one else’ :-( bro :-(

and the TENSION of it all like……… it’s so TENSE…… it’s so tense and awkward but in the best way like i love it

and the lola/ben/lexi scene after like it’s SO cute like ben being teased and going even more shy like?? i love them sm :-(

and then they top it off w the little smiles across the square like?? callum’s is so soft and ben’s is so SHY like he gets so SHY when it comes to callum and i’ll never be over it!!!!!!!

like i love that whole scene too it was so soft and sweet it made what happened in the rest of that ep so much Worse like it was a proper kick in the guts but!!! thankfully they (and by they i mean mostly ben) got their shit together in the end :-)

her   upbringing   was   relatively   relaxed   .   her   parents   ,   who   had   busy   lives   as   it   was   always   tried   to   make   time   for   their   children   ,      &      as   their   oldest   began   to   disperse      &      follow   their   own   path   ,   lykke   was   left   alone   most   of   the   time   .   she   didn’t   mind   ,   however   ,   because   with   alone   time   came   more   time   to   let   her   imagination   run   wild   .   she   was   always   a   creative   child   ,   always   thinking   that   believing   isn’t   seeing      &      so   the   thought   of   adventure      &      it’s   endless   possibilities   was   enthralling   to   her   .

she   was   young      &      free      ;      she   had   a   magnetic   aura   that   captivated   just   about   everyone   in   the   room   ,   but   that’s   not   what   made   her   special   .   lykke   was   ,   as   her   teachers   would   say   ,   an   enigma   .   she   was   smart   all   the   while   being   unburdened   by   knowledge   .   she   was   skeptical   of   life’s   meaning   but   at   the   same   time   ,   she   believed   in   the   impossible   .   she   pushed   the   boundaries      &      in   the   end   ,   it   not   only   made   her   a   valuable   friend   but   an   extraordinary   student   .   she   was   inquisitive   ,   always   keen   to   learn   new   things   ,      &      always   dove   head   first   into   new   opportunities   .

it   was   because   of   her   determination      &      participation   in   school’s   extracurricular   activities   that   she   was   persuaded   to   join   her   high   school’s   swim   team   .   swimming   was   ,   of   course   ,   the   activity   she   enjoyed   the   most   at   school   ,   but   she   never   thought   she   would   create   a   career   out   of   it   .   but   still   ,   she   agreed      &      was   fast   approaching   becoming   the   best   in   her   class   .   she   was   a   fast   learner   ,   taking   every   opportunity   to   practice      &      before   she   knew   it   ,   she   was   at   the   top   of   her   class   .   she   was   extremely   valued   not   only   by   her   team   members   but   by   her   coach   ,      &      at   one   particular   swimming   competition   ,   a   representative   for   the   olympic   swim   team   came   scouting   for   recruits      &      took   lykke   under   his   wing   almost   immediately   .

she   was   a   promising   little   thing   ,   however   a   little   too   inexperienced   in   big   competitions   ,   but   she   would   go   far   .   so   ,   to   prepare   for   when   she’d   join   the   olympic   team   .   she   was   thrown   into   national   competitions   ,   opting   for   homeschooling   while   she   travelled   for   all   the   competitions   she   had   to   attend   .   needless   to   say   ,   she   loved   it   .   being   in   the   water   gave   her   a   sort   of   freedom   she’d   never   felt   before   ,      &      the   thrill   of   the   competition   strove   her   to   do   better   .   she   rose   to   success   so   quickly   that   ,   on   the   eve   of   her   eighteenth   birthday   ,   it   was   announced   she   would   be   join   the   olympic   team   in   the   2016   olympic   games   .

the   build   up   to   the   olympics   was   immense   .   lykke   was   thrown   into   training   more   arduous   than   what   she’d   ever   experienced   ,   but   she   loved   every   part   of   it   .   she   loved   the   adrenaline   running   through   her   veins      &      she   loved   more   than   anything   ,   being   a   part   of   a   team   .   in   the   games   she   would   compete   in   the   800   metre   freestyle   race      &      the   4   x   200   metre   freestyle   relay   ,      &      the   faster   the   games   approached   ,   the    more   nervous   she   felt   .   she   had   already   successfully   won   nearly   every   competition   she   faced   leading   up   to   the   olympics   ,   but   this   was   the   real   test   in   her   eyes   .

when   it   came   to   the   games   ,   despite   her   nervous   state   ,   lykke   won   her   solo   race   .   the   thrill   of   this   made   her   want   to   win   more   ,   but   she   was   nervous   .   after   watching   the   other   team   practice      &      perform   their   own   races   ,      &      that   her   own   team   would   need   to   be   faster      &      better   in   order   to   beat   them   .   so   ,   in   her   nervous   panic   ,   when   it   was   her   turn   to   take   over   the   relay   ,   she   jumped   too   early   ,   even   though   she   knew   she   wouldn’t   clear   her   teammate   in   time   ,      &      they   both   ended   up   in   hospital      ;      her   teammate   with   a   injury   to   the   head      &      lykke   with   a   broken   collarbone   .

the   guilt   almost   destroyed   her   ,      &      she   thought   her   life   to   be   over   until   her   father   paid   off   all   involved   parties   to   keep   the   truth   quiet      &      instead   spread   the   word   that   what   happened   was   an   accident   .   lykke   still   felt   guilty   ,   though   ,      &      couldn’t   face   the   humiliation   of   being   a   part   of   the   team   again   ,   so   she   quite   acting      &      instead   opted   for   a   career   less   damaging      &      more   achievable      ;     acting   .   her   father   was   a   director   ,      &      she   was   pretty   involved   in   the   drama   department   in   school   ,   so   it   made   the   most   sense   .

she   landed   small   roles   at   first   ,   but   more   recently   lykke   landed   a   role   in   netflix’s   brand   new   hit   series   called   ‘   fiercer   things   ’   .   the   show   surrounds   vampires   ,   witches   ,      &      just   about   all   things   that   go   bump   in   the   night   ,      &      lykke   portrays   the   female   lead   called   vita   ,   a   vampire   a   little   like   rebekah   mikaelson      !

[x] and i had a toxic friendship. there’s no two ways abt it. the codependency and jealousy and manipulation came from both sides and it wasn’t good. it would be irresponsible of me to act like i never did anything wrong, but it is irresponsible of her to act like i’m the only one who did anything wrong.

we brought out the worst in each other, and had been doing so for a long time before we stopped being friends. according to screenshots, she’s said both that i cut her off and that she fucked off herself. i don’t really know which is true; she clearly wasn’t interested in staying close friends, but i’m the one who moved out of state without telling her (or much of anyone who knew her). we affected each other in cycles that started when we first met. at one point it was cute; five years later it wasn’t. i would act immaturely, and she would infatilize me; she would infantilize me, and i would act immaturely. i’m sure she could cite a similar cycle of treatment and response on her side. for me it felt like the kind of thing i couldn’t get away from, like it became a part of my personality—or at least the personality i projected when i was around her.

the thing was, i felt like i could never change as a person because her interests and personality were so nostalgia-based. it seemed like every week she wanted to reminisce at length about ye olden days, which was probably a huge red flag about the state of our relationship. we weren’t creating anything emotional or meaningful in the present day, so she wanted to look back on when we DID have fun. but it made me freeze up and stagnate, like i didn’t know where i was supposed to go or who i was supposed to be turning into to please her. she was point-blank my oldest and best friend; the idea of becoming someone she didn’t want to be around (/spend her free, enjoyment time with) freaked me out. until i realized that she was kind of becoming the sort of person i didn’t want to be around.

i’m not trying to make excuses for my own lack of personal growth; this post is 85% therapy, i’m working to understand what happened and learn from it. my stangnation was not her fault. it was and always will be my responsibility to remove myself from situations that are bad for me. eventually i did, it was just later than it should have been, i think.

i know i was bad for her in return. i know i did things that weren’t right and shouldn’t be brushed off or excused. i was immature, and selfish. i carry those things. i want to be better than that. i hope that by understanding what happened with her, i can correct my behaviors and not treat people that way in the future. but it makes me feel ill to read screenshots and know she’s no-doubt out there telling people who don’t even know what my face looks like about what a demon i was to her without acknowledging her own faults. it makes me upset because it’s wrong, and it makes me upset because i do want better for her, too. i want her to also look back and understand and grow. but wanting that for her always seemed to piss her off and it probably comes off as patronizing, so i won’t say any more.

she complained about us living together a second time frequently, saying she never should have agreed. it always seemed like she blamed me for even suggesting the idea when our first stint as roommates went so terribly. i refuse to apologize, because i didn’t force her. she agreed. she was interested. if she’d honestly said no, i won’t lie, i would have been upset. but i would have lived. she said she didn’t force me into the situations surrounding money and animefest 2018, said i made my own decisions, and she was right. as influenced as they were by her situation and my will to help her, i did make my own decisions. similarly, she made her own decision to live with me, influenced as she was by my situation.

in the end, i’m glad we’re not friends anymore, even if i miss some of the people who got cut off along with her. we weren’t good for each other. we’re better off without each other. beyond that, i do think she turns too much of a blind eye to racism, antisemitism, ableism, transmisogyny, and etc in the media she not only consumes but exalts. it was difficult to not say anything, and i’m better off not surrounding myself with it when it makes me feel so terrible.

if you’re one of the people who sends me screenshots of her vagueposts, stop. i don’t want to read them!! i don’t want to see them!! knowing she’s thinking about me makes me nauseous!! i quite literally never want her in her present state to cross my mind, or vice versa. i have the past and my memories. i’m content with that!! i’m not involved with her. i don’t wish to be.

posting it under the cut cause im a lil shy abt how silly the idea is lasjdlajskl (also i got kinda long n rambley so feel free to skim or like not read it at all)

i had this on (except it was the full version - if you click the link in the video’s description it downloads the .mp3 file so like just a heads up if youre checking it out) and the vibe totally triggered this whole idea

it’s nothing like ~original~ tbh but basically in arasulahn’s canon, her big thing is basically being someone who comes from a poor family who eventually resorts to unsavoury deeds for survival. it’s dangerous and scary and she wants to bring her family out of it, except she doesn’t really know how. she is obedient and loyal to her clan, which constantly puts her in conflict between being who she needs to be for her people versus doing what her people need but don’t necessarily want (or don’t feel is within reach.)

so the concept is: arasulahn’s family is a notorious crime family whose fortunes were drained after her father (and head of the fam) drove their family into debt attempting to launder their money through the boxing industry. arasulahn is pushed into fighting, makes a decent name for herself within local rings, and her family tries to buy out matches for their favour and earn back their moneys worth + more through bets. shit goes sideways and her fam is in terrible, terrible debt. arasulahn wants to see her family out of this and the only legitimate means she can think of is going to school and getting a good job. her father makes her promise that she’ll still fight, not supporting her decision but seeing no way to stop her. she agrees, and tries to navigate being there for her family while trying to pave a whole new path for herself.

arasulahn’s clan is a tight knit community mostly comprising of blood relations. their family tree is extensive though much of their knowledge of their forefathers and ancestors is lost, they claim to have once been a respected family name who lived richly and prospered in their home country. at some point, their ancestors were driven out by an age-old conflict, that pushed them into the land they now reside in (i’m not sure if i should use like irl country names bc?? idk???? feels weird), where what meager wealth they salvaged was lost to trying to rebuild their lives, especially through business deals gone sour.

fast forward to arasulahn’s present. her adoptive father (keeper dhavihal in her canon verse) is the head of the family, who have succeeded in making a name for themselves in the world of crime. jobs ranging from simple break & enters to complex armed robberies keep the family on their feet, and more importantly, funds what dhavihal believed to be the “way out” for their clan: boxing.

arasulahn was put to training throughout her adolescent years at the insistence of her father, who saw promise not only in her strength but her devotion and obedience. her academic performance dwindled as her focus was pushed toward fighting, all except in english and literature classes which she excelled in for her love of reading; a small comfort she could afford herself in her tumultuous family life. after high school was when she was forced to fight for her family’s future. the money made from jobs would be poured into bets made at small-time rings with the demand that they win their money’s worth and more, leaving no room for losses on arasulahn’s part. they soon learned the hard way that the only way to move up was to fix matches, which lead to even further predicaments.

her family falls into debt while trying to play the corruption in the local boxing industry, their “associates” screwing them over when they bought out matches, losing money that they’ve borrowed with little to supplement it.

finally fed up with the downward spiral she’s found herself in, arasulahn confronts her father about the fighting declaring that she wants no part in it anymore and that they need to see their family out of this mess. she tells him of her plans to return to school which he wants to support but sees no way how it’ll help. she’s not even sure of it herself because it’s been almost a decade since she’s done anything but box, but it’s the only thing she can think of. she ends up having to promise that she will still fight, while trying to get into college. at 30 y/o she gets accepted into a literature program.

i think the verse would start there. she’s incredibly anxious about 1) feeling like the dumbest and the oldest person in class, surrounded by peers more than 10 years younger than her who actually remember what it’s like to be in school, and 2) not knowing what the fuck she’s doing, and having close to no one believe in this path she’s taken

all she knows is that she doesn’t want to fight anymore. she’s good at it, but she knows it’ll kill her, and the worst part of it all is that it’ll do nothing for her family but drive them deeper into the hole they’ve dug themselves.

yeah idk how i feel abt callum getting the flat bc on one hand why should whitney have to move out when, at the end of the day, she was the one who got cheated on.... but on the other where else is callum supposed to go...... like he could move back in with the carters in suppose, but they've already got a house full and idk i'm very conflicted about it to be honest... and then you add the paul/cokers relation into the mix and the whole thing makes me very :/

i think it would be very weird for ben spending time in that flat once him and callum get together. it'd be difficult for him too - i mean we saw how he reacted at the house warming, it was clearly hard for him to just be there. so if being there in the first place is hard, being there with callum - i.e. being there without paul, as someone else's boyfriend potentially - would probably be really hard for him. it'll churn up all sorts of feelings - guilt, grief, anger, sadness etc - and a lot of 'what if's too - what if paul was still alive? would ben be living here right now with him, the room that was once paul's now all done up for lexi? or would they have moved somewhere else? would they have split up? would paul be living here without him? with someone else?

i think it'd be something he'd struggle with quite a lot. i mean it'd be something i'd struggle with. and i think actually it could be something that could hinder their relationship quite a bit, at least within the walls of that flat. and because ben's either staying with his mum or with his dad, it's not like they'd have anywhere else private to go, so it’d basically be that flat or nowhere, if they want to be alone together. and ben would kind of lowkey just hate being there, because as much as he might like callum and enjoy his company, it's not enough to stop him from feeling like shit when he spends prolonged periods of time (spending the night/having sex i think would be particularly difficult) in the home of the man he loved so much and lost in such horrible circumstances.

and i think the fact that stuart's staying in paul's old bedroom would make ben livid. not necessarily at callum, but yknow........ it's fucked up that a violent homophobe is staying in the old room of a man who was killed by violent homophobes. that's really fucked up. that makes me angry, never mind ben. so yeah, ben would Not Be Happy about that!

and ofc callum would be understanding bc he's an absolute sweetheart. and also he can empathize, a little bit - he couldn't imagine going back to the army and back to the kitchen him and and chris trained in together and not expect him to come out of the fridge at any second with a big smile on his face, yknow? and that's not as an extreme, personal thing as this - the flat where paul lived, the room where ben had sex with a man for the first time, the places where they sat together, laughed together, talked together. and yeah he's seen glimpses of it, but callum can't imagine how difficult it must be to walk into that flat and not see paul or the life they had together. so callum doesn't hold it against it when he gets snappy or upset or straight up has to leave. he tries to be as supportive as he can, but it's hard because sometimes ben wants to be touched and other times he doesn't; sometimes he wants to talk and others he'll bite callum's head off for even saying paul's name. it's hard to know how to help ben when the things that help him are constantly changing, so he just tries to make sure he's there for ben, whatever he needs, and that ben knows that. tbh callum thinks it's kind of a miracle that he can even stand to be there in the first place, when he sits down and really thinks about it.

but ben really appreciates callum's patience with him. he thinks that callum is probably the most patient man on earth tbh, and he doesn't always feel like he deserves it, but he appreciates it all the same.

it would probably get easier over time. a lot of time, maybe, but it would. ben never really properly forgets, but it's nice once he gets to the point where he can be in callum's flat and not be thinking about paul the entire time and actually live in the present as opposed to the past. 

but i don't think ben would wanna live there full time so if they ever move in together they'd have to find somewhere new lmao

Unnecessarily Complicated (Speculative) Psychoanalysis of the MTR characters:

*basically these are headcanons because the original canon? not much to go off of tbh

so I’m only doing the three main (ish) characters although I’ve already talked a lot abt Michael and Wilbur here. 

Cornelius:

We know about him the most, from gawky self-depreacting childhood to freakishly collected adulthood so i can confidently say that he consistently seeks validation, covertly through his inventions. He will literally never say so out loud, not under oath, not with a gun to his head, not to anyone. But he craves attention and nothing is ever enough. He’s used to working to the bone until he gets what he wants to the point where when he does achieve something, he doesn't know what to do with it. Once he’s finished one invention he’ll start another, if one project is failing or starts to bore him, he’ll immediately loose sleep on moving on to the next thing. Though he likes to tout about his love of charity and using his inventions to help people, they’re also a means to an end: both to seek others’ attention, and to distract from thinking about himself too much. 

He doesn’t want to think about his flaws or his strengths, or his personality, or his vulnerabilities; it’s all about what he does. If someone were to criticise his inventions, that’s fine he’ll just work harder if someone criticises his behaviour or his personality it’s like hitting a brick wall. Of course if he cares enough about the situation he will find a way to adapt, he’s very stubborn and sometimes even obtuse but he’s a people pleaser at the end of the day. He simultaneously cares about pleasing everyone and asserting himself as an individual  than everyone in a very specific way. He loves rules and he’ll follow them to a T until he finds a way to break them and be better than everyone else. He never wants praise for anything that he personally didn't achieve or can’t control. Like if someone compliments him on his looks, he’ll call them vapid. 

Everything is a work in progress, something to figure out and this also applies to his relationships. After years of rejection and abandonment he’s immediately suspicious of everyone but if and when someone does gain his trust and peak his interest, he’ll start to analyse them and pull their personality apart until he  (thinks) he knows them. He can be very charming and finds all these ways to indirectly play his strengths to them, tailor himself to their personality, make all the gears mesh together. He’s really good at chasing after people but he’s also extremely self-conscious about seeming too clingy so he’ll compulsively avoid the very people he wants attention from. Like his work, once he does get someone to love him back he gets confused, like he never expected this to happen, he didn't plan this far ahead. He needs someone to tell him what happens next, else he’ll get bored and scared and hole himself up in the lab. 

He’s very driven and can become really hyper fixated on something he’s working on/any goal he’s working towards which often intimidates people, if they can’t keep up he’s likely to just leave them behind. And sometimes even justifies it by thinking its their fault they can’t follow, he can be very snobby. (i definitely think thats why he surrounds himself with people who share his intensity) He’s not necessarily confrontational but I think he enjoys the challenge of people picking a fight with him, like a debate.

Though as he gets older he becomes a lot more confident and calmer (and of course he has to for the diplomatic side of being a CEO and a parent) and he’s probably able to deal with everything much better and compartmentalise his work vs personal life and separate his identity from his projects. Partially due to his lingering abandonment fears, he’s very loyal to a select number of people. And when he makes the effort (which he sometimes forgets to), boy can he read people and emotionally empathise with them very closely. Slowly, he starts to learn how not to push things towards an indeterminate future and just hang out in the moment. 

Franny: 

Franny craves attention but it has to be in a very specific way: she goes out of her way to stand out and be The Weird Kid. If someone ever called her normal she would die. Be a musician? Be a scientist? Ew no. And anything that doesnt fit her carefully curated personality she’ll hide like a dirty secret. She pretends she doesn't care about people’s opinions, that she’s above it all, if someone doesn’t like her, it must be because her strong sense of individuality intimidates people and not because she actively pushes them away because she’s afraid of intimacy. She’s independent that way, or stubborn depending on the day. 

She’s very ambitious and very competitive. And if she decides that someone’s either boring or feels like hey don’t appreciate her enough, she cuts them off. Despite her warmth and friendliness, even to strangers, she can have a mean, no-nonsense personality and punish you for expectations she won’t admit she has. I doubt it’s very fun to be grounded by her.  

Of course, to the people she loves, she goes all out and remembers every single little detail about them so she can make perfectly tailored, personalised gifts or outings on their birthdays. She’s very good at remembering people’s  dislikes and their flaws and depending on the situation, will either do her best to avoid them or deliberately push their buttons to get back at them. She’s also very intuitive about people’s emotions, but she’s not always very open about all that insight, which she’ll keep to herself for safekeeping. 

Franny is a sort of in-between for cornelius and wilbur, she doesnt care about performance at least not ultimately and she doesnt concern herself with what people think of her or wether they’ll leave her, she’s constantly living in the future and thinking about the big picture. She doesnt plan either because she knows that after the plan, life goes on. She just wants life to be fun and interesting and while she loves analysing it and taking it apart, it’s  all a game to her, she just wants to laze around, eat chocolate and maybe travel to the world’s highest mountain and do something really impulsive . 

Wilbur:

I once considered climbing into the Discourse Ring and getting into a debate w someone over wether or not Wilbur’s a Slytherin but i thought better of it because we’re all going to die and Hogwarts houses are worse than the MBTI types and who cares it’s just fun. But for the record: i don’t think he is and the reason is simple; it’s because he’s not ambitious. He's too afraid to be. 

He's extremely intelligent, very witty and fairly adaptable to complete disaster. Everything for him is about performance, he’s a perfectionist and he goes out of his way to try everything: sports, checkers, math, sculpture, acting, knitting, gif-making. All the time and he has to be the best at everything he does but when he finds that there’s something he can’t do, he’ll dismiss it like nothing really matters in the grand scheme of it all. He doesn’t wanna say anything about it lest he confront his family’s gung-ho opinion on failure. And the thing is: the Robinson’s celebration of failure predicates an expectation of trying, of constantly working and you know what? He doesn’t want to try.  He’s too scared to go after anything and he’s certainly weighed down by all the unspoken pressure of having a famous family of prodigies. 

Sometimes he wishes there were rules he could follow so he could be the best at life but that doesn't really work with his family’s complete lack of boundaries. I think there’s a part of Wilbur that will never truly grow up and not just because he’s spoilt or that he’ll always be freakishly close with his parents but also because he’s still waiting around for people to tell him what to do. I have a very specific image of him as an adult doing weird shit to compensate for how immature he feels. Like, he’ll make his house all black, no colour, he wears a tux and slicks his hair back with GOBS of hairgel, he has a fancy car he never uses but likes to show off because look how clean it is! Of course, even though he thrives on rules and fulfilling expectations, he’s still very selective on what rules he’ll follow because again: if he thinks it’s dumb or if it’ll negatively impact his rep, he’s not touching it with a ten-foot pole. 

He’s very easily bored and gets distracted all the time (also hd him as having ADDD or ADHD). He’s deliberately getting himself into trouble and pushing people’s buttons as a way to act out. But again he’s very charming and very observant. He likes to play dumb but he’s secretly paying attention to everything about everyone and he knows exactly what will tick them off and what won’t. And given the right circumstances he can be a genuinely caring and empathetic person.

He’s extremely protective. He’s normally happy and cheerful like normal, but the moment their parents act up, he’ll immediately stand up to them, puffing out his chest as he stands protectively in between them and their parents. At these times, it’s suddenly obvious why he’s seen as a king.

Having been through a state of depression himself, he’d rather die than have his s/o experience something similar. He’ll do absolutely everything in his power to keep them happy.

Without even asking sometimes, he’ll just appear at their house overnight to sleep with them. He claims that he could tell something was wring from the “waves” they were sending out. If things look extra bad, he’ll drag them away to sleep at his house instead.

He always knows just how to cheer them up- whether it be through his antics, affection, anything; he always somehow makes them feel more optimistic. But he also knows when to just stay quiet, holding them close.

Sena:

He’s constantly worried about them. Seeing as how depressed they can get from their parents, he’s afraid that they might hurt themself, or by their parents. He’ll often call or text them whenever he gets too anxious about their well being, and he always makes them promise to tell him when something’s wrong.

If their parents do anything to them while he’s over, he’ll step in front of them and boldly tell their parents to stop, before taking them out of the house. He tends to be a little rude to their parents, but he couldn’t care less.

He’s not that good at consolation, but he’s willing to listen to their troubles. He’ll hold them close while promising he’ll never let them go. “In a few years, when I make enough money, we can have you move out. Then we can live together, and this’ll all be over,” he assured them. It’s a common thing for him to say. He’s doing his best to save as much money as possible, hoping he can make enough to allow them both to move out together.

Arashi:

Arashi is always able to cheer them up somehow. He’ll listen to them whenever they need it, and will offer all the consolation he can give. Seeing them down makes him down.

Usually he tries to take their mind off it. He’ll constantly take them out on dates, spending the day laughing together. That way they fele more energized when they get home; they’ll probably be able to deal with whatever may be coming better that way.

Arashi always calls them before bed, to make sure they’re alright. And he can tell if they’re lying. He’ll panic a bit if they come with bad news, and he’ll often stay on the phone with them for hours. He offers to stay until they fall asleep, or even let them come over, or go over to their place if they feel they need him there. He’ll do his best to make sure they’re happy, even with everything going on.

Ritsu:

Normally, Ritsu is tired and lazy, refusing to do anything. But the moment their parents do anything “irrational,” he’ll suddenly snap awake. He’ll ignore their parents, dragging them away. Often to go to his place to nap. What could be a better pick me up than letting Ritsu spoon them until they fall asleep?

Even when it seems like he’s not listening to them, I can assure you that he soaks in every word that comes from their mouth. If they ever start crying in his company, he’ll move to lick their tears away. Tears are slightly salty, like blood, so he likes the taste. Though he still doesn’t like when they cry, no matter how tasty it might be.

More often than not, they spend their nights together. Ritsu normally sleeps during the day, but he makes sure to kepe his phone beside him in case they call. As big of a baby as he can be, he’ll always baby them if they need it.

Suou:

Suou always gets extremely frustrated when he sees them down. He blames himself for it. He thinks that he’s unable to keep them happy. But he doesn’t really know what to do when their parents go off at them. He’ll panic a bit, before interrupting them and taking his s/o away.

When they feel down, Suou is quick to take them out to eat. He’ll buy them sweets, take them to a bakery, ice cream parlor, mostly places with sweets. Since he has a stress eating habit that normally helps him, he wants to believe that it’ll help them as well.

He tends to panic when they come to him for comfort, but he’ll always be willing to listen. He’ll spoil them with gifts and affection, hoping that he can be of any help. He never minds if they want to sleep at his place, to get them out of the atmosphere at their house. He admits that he’s not that good at keeping them happy, but he does a lot better than he thinks. And he always tries his best.
