“here there be gerblins” is like what if you couldn’t save everyone. “petals to the metal” is like what if the love was there and it couldn’t save everyone but the love was still there. “crystal kingdom” is like what if the love was there and it couldn’t save everyone and it actually made things worse but the love was there. “the eleventh hour” is like what if love started all of this but you couldn’t save everyone (you couldn’t save everyone (you couldn’t save everyone (you couldn’t save everyone (you couldn’t save everyone (you could save everyone))))). “stolen century” is like what if you could try again (what if there was love) (what if you could try again).

Sick in the head about characters who love someone else as much as they hate themself. The duality of man is to hold adoration and loathing in one heart, two arrows connected at the center but pointing opposite directions.
Sick in the head about the person they love, who knows this.
Just.
"I'd do anything for you" and the reply is "Love yourself" and the only thing they can ever say is "I'd do anything but that." AND THEN WHAT HUH THEN WHAT
I'm just. Sick in the head about it. That's all.

Okay so I'm really trying here. Iambic Pantamater. I get the 14 lines, I get the 10 syllables - what does it mean to have the alternating emphasis? Cuz like if I read a word, I can apply any emphasis I want to it so how do I know if a word fits correctly in the pantamater?
OR am I misunderstanding, and I have to place the words so that the emphasis FROM Iambic Pantamater ends up the way I want it to? Surely there's a poetry nerd on this website who can help me

I am once again looking for beta-readers! The beta-draft of Book 2, A Magician’s Soul, is complete and I’m looking for feedback. This is the second installment of a trilogy, but if you haven’t been able to read the first installment yet it doesn’t mean you can’t volunteer!
This is a fantasy trilogy, intended for queer audiences, and if you like either of those concepts I’d love to hear your input on this book before I go into the final editing in the spring. If you’re interested, dm me and I can get you into the discord server for my beta readers! <3

I’m Anas Basil, a recent high school graduate with dreams of a brighter future through studying e-business management and building a career. But the war has shattered everything. After graduating with a 93% average, I enrolled at Khan Younis Training College (UNRWA), only to find that it’s now a shelter for displaced families instead of a place for education.
My younger brother, Ahmad, 14, is known as the "Doctor of the Future" because of his extraordinary talent in mathematics. However, the war has kept him out of school for two consecutive years. Ahmad is also a gifted football player who used to win tournaments, but the war has taken that away from him too.
The war forced our family to flee to Rafah, where we lived in a tent for several months. Every day is a struggle for survival—fetching water, gathering wood, and making a fire.
🎯 We are seeking €29,000 to:
- Secure safe passage out of Gaza and cover education fees to help us pursue our dreams.
- Provide Basic Essentials—food, clean water, and medical supplies—to support our family’s day-to-day survival in Gaza.
👉 Donation link:

Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to our goal.
With gratitude,
Anas & Ahmad

My name is Hala, from Deir al-Balah, Gaza. I live with my four children, Abdul, Jaber, Mohammed, and Lian, and my mother-in-law, in a never-ending nightmare. Our home was bombed, and everything we had turned to ashes. Now, we live in a burnt house, with no safety or hope..
My husband, Adham, is stuck in Egypt, and I face this torment alone. My children suffer from hunger and illness, and we have nothing to protect them. Life here is unbearably difficult; every day is a struggle for survival.
I urgently need your help to raise $35,000 so we can escape, as each person requires $5,000. This money isn’t just numbers; it’s our hope for a new life away from pain and suffering. We are human beings who deserve to live, so please don’t let us drown in this nightmare.
Help us, as we are in desperate need of your support.

URGENT: HELP SAVE THE LIFE OF MY CHILD
I'm Amal, a mother of three children, living under the weight of the genocide taking place in Gaza. 🍉
The Israeli occupation forces launched drone strikes on my husband, Fayez, and my son, Mohammad.
my husband was hit in the head, while my son Mohammad was wounded in his legs.
Although my husband's condition has stabilized, my son is still suffering immensely and urgently needs medical treatment outside Gaza.
So I started a fundraising campaign to save my son before he dies.
I lost most of my family. I'm afraid to lose my son too 🥺 .
I need your help please donate and share, evry contribution, no matter how small, brings us hope in these dark times.
Mohammed deserves to live a happy and healthy life, just like every other child on this earth.
So I humbly ask you to donate even a little or at least reblog this appeal.

🚨 We Need Your Kindness to Survive 🚨
Hello, My name is Mosab Elderawi, and I live in Gaza with my family. Life here has become harder than I ever imagined, and I’m writing this with hope in my heart that you might hear our story.
The ongoing war has devastated my family. We’ve lost 25 family members—each one a beloved part of our lives, taken too soon. I miss them deeply—their laughter, their presence, their love. Every day is a reminder of this unimaginable loss.

We are now facing daily challenges to survive—things that most people take for granted, like food, clean water, and a safe place to sleep. The harsh realities of life here have replaced our dreams with the constant fight for survival.
Our Current Situation:
💔 Lost Stability: The war has left us without work or a stable source of income. 🍞 Basic Needs: Food and water are becoming harder to afford with rising prices and scarce resources. 📚 Dreams on Hold: Like so many here, my family’s dreams have been replaced by the need to simply survive. 😢 Unimaginable Loss: Losing 25 loved ones has left a void that can never be filled.
How You Can Help:
I’m sharing our story with the hope that someone out there might care. Even $5 can make a big difference for us, and if you’re unable to donate, just reblogging this post can help spread the word.
Your kindness, no matter how small, is something we’ll never forget.
What This Means to Us:
Your support is not about changing our entire situation—it’s about giving us a little relief, a little hope, and a way to keep going. We are not asking for much, and we understand if you can’t donate. Sharing our story is just as valuable to us as a donation.
Thank you for reading this far. It means the world to us to know that someone is listening. Your kindness gives us strength and helps us believe in a better tomorrow.
With all our gratitude, Mosab Elderawi and Family ❤️

Upholding Luigi Mangione as a class hero isn't actuality helping anything; not because killing the ceo was wrong (it wasn't) but because the man still maintains his innocence. You're doing no better than the cops and fraction of the public against the shooter's actions by treating Mangione as if he's unequivocally guilty.
Redirect your energy to fighting the police's bullshit prosecution and blatant public defamation of his image. Stop supporting him on the grounds of heroic actions. Support him on the grounds of there's still literally no proof he actually fucking did anything.

I hold a rock on my hand - a rock already small enough to fit in my hand after eons of erosion and shifting of the very earth I stand upon - and I say not enough! Not enough erosion for me! And I put the rock in a capsule with other small rocks and rotate it in water for a week. To erode it more.
Who do I think I am, deciding how much erosion is good? I think I'm part of the very earth itself, we all decide erosion together.
