Normal function! You see small bolts of lightning in submerged from LTTM's activity. I think having large bolts of lightning in between GSB and everything else makes sense. You aren't meant to access these areas, after all!

Oh yeah I’m familiar with the smaller electric discharges in submerged superstructure, I just wasn’t sure if the big ones in The Rot were normal lol

I wonder what the Primary Cortex is for. That big room with the lightning seems pretty cavernous and empty, aside from all the neuron flies. I wonder what function the bolts of electricity serve, if any. I’d think they would be more of a risk to the neuron flies than anything else.
