How Yuu REALLY got summoned to NRC
Malleus (Looks outside his balcony): It’s me again, I want someone to be my friend. Someone who won’t run away. Maybe send me an Angel. The nicest Angel you have… (Doesn’t realize he’s using his magic)

wpsiatwin!alex x fem!reader
synopsis: all based around the song 7
warnings: alcohol, swearing (like once?)
Tumblr media
You pulled open the door to the bar and let it swing shut behind you. You slid into a stool at the bar, slipping out of your jacket. The bartender walked over to you, cleaning a glass. You ordered the same thing you always got. Waiting patiently, you glanced around at the other faces in the bar, recognizing a few of the regulars. The same couple near the back who sat way too close to each other and spent more time making out then drinking, the same middle-aged man who drank the same beer every night there was a game playing on the tv, the same kid who was barely old enough to drink who would end the night hurling into a toilet.
The bartender set your drink down and you smiled and nodded as a thank you. You took a few sips, scanning the room again. Your eyes found a boy with short brown hair, a white t-shirt with a hoodie over it, and a bottle of beer in his hands. You glanced away, trying not to stare. You rested your elbow on the counter and rested your face in your hand. You stole another look at him and for a moment caught his eyes staring back at yours. He quickly snapped his eyes away from you and a smile started to form on your lips. A blush crept on your face and you turned your attention away.
This went on for a while, stolen inviting glances and thoughts racing through your head. He was panicked, desperately wishing he had an ounce of courage that could convince him to finally go talk to you but he was frozen, only able to make the eyes at you. He went through a few bottles of beer and you went through a few glasses of your own drink. He had his number scribbled down on a napkin, something he had never done before, hoping he’d give it to you before the end of the night. When he couldn’t bring himself to do it, he left money for his drinks and rushed out the door. You watched with sad, disappointed eyes as the doors closed behind him. You slammed the rest of your drink, feeling the alcohol burn down your throat. You thought about following him out but thought better of it.
You waited a while, running your fingertip over the rim of the glass as you stared blankly at the counter. You shook your head, clearing your mind. You paid for your drinks and fled the bar quickly. If you had stayed even a few more seconds, you might’ve caught Alex running back into the bar to come and talk to you after being eaten alive by regret. But he was left disappointed when you had vanished from the bar, nothing left in your place but a dirty glass. He trudged home, thinking of you the whole time with the napkin with his number on it crumbled in his pocket.
It was a while before you went back to that bar, too busy with the other shit in your life to enjoy a drink. You swung the bar door open, drowning in the sounds inside. A crowd cheered and booed for the teams on the tv and a smile started to creep on your lips. You had missed this place.
You started to head to the same seat you always sat in. Normally no one sat in the seats near it but this time there was someone right beside it. In that all familiar hoodie, you recognized the guy you had seen last time you were here. You slid into your seat, looking straight ahead, pretending not to notice him, as you tried to fight back the smile starting to form. You felt his eyes on you, looking shocked but all the more delighted to see you.
He offered to buy you a drink and then the two of you finally started talking, getting along easier than you had with anyone in a while. You talked about anything, everything and nothing. Talking about music, movies, stupid embarrassing stories that left you both in a fit of laughter. You often got distracted, studying all his features and listening to his voice, not his words, as he told stories. You could listen to him talk for hours.
As the night neared its end and the bar was closing up, you scribbled your number on a napkin and gave it to him. “Before you run out on me again,” you teased as he glanced at your number. And there was that stunned look of happiness is those brown doe eyes again. A smile formed on your lips and you walked backwards out the bar just so you could see that look in his eyes a moment longer. You started to walk down the street to your car but you stopped. You ran back to the bar and back to Alex. His brow furrowed and he tilted his head slightly when he saw you, opening his mouth to ask if you had forgotten something but you cupped his face with one hand and pressed your lips to his cheek. His eyes widened slightly and he felt his face go red. A grin stretched across your face and you glanced at his flustered, panicked expression for a moment before running out the bar.
He called you later that night, saying he couldn’t wait.
And he said he’d pick you up at 7 tomorrow.

Steve had a pretty shitty night playing out for him. Which is what tended to happen when you’re best friends with a vampire slayer more interested in complaining about other teenage girl’s boyfriends than actually slaying any vampires.
So, they there were. In the creepy old graveyard Steve really didn’t like, especially when he’d much rather be home doing anything other than being kicked in the chest and send backwards into a tree. Plus, there’s the fact that they were surrounded by at least three of them. And Robin was good, but she was distracted and Steve had two vamps on him to her one. Albeit, a very muscular and manic one vamp.
Still totally unfair.
He tried to focus on the two he had on his ass while grasping the cross he had tucked under his belt. But, between his blurry vision and the stupid pieces of shit blending too well into their safety blanket of the night, he was a little too late as the girl stuck up behind him.
He was silenced with a hand over his mouth before he could warn Robin of his predicament. And, with the unfortunate circumstance, he seemed to grow further unlucky as the one that had sent him flying into the oak tree appeared at his other side.
He stared at the side profile of the male and suddenly saw something familiar about him, “Fred?” his question was muffled, but Fred’s face slowly looked at him.
Fred’s face was all pinched and wrinkled, but Steve had seen him by Nancy’s side too often not to know him a little. Plus, they’d been looking for him just last week. Right now, Steve didn’t think there was anything left of Fred to find.
The hand around his mouth tightened further as Fred shushed him quietly, the yellowed eyes lingering on his neck before he returned his gaze to the show before them.
Robin was getting exhausted in her fight, and the beast she was against was looking like he’d caught the best prize at the carnival.
Steve gritted his teeth and then opened his mouth to bite down on the brittle fingers of the girl vamp. Which, he tumbled forward and away to let her screech about in annoyance.
When he popped back up to his feet, he had a greeting to Fred of the cross to his forehead. He grinned as the skin of the vamps forehead burned the further he shoved it in.
Fred backed away to stand near his partner in crime, both of them glaring at him as he kept the cross out in front of him in warning. He silently dared them to try again, to give him a chance to take his violent annoyance out of them, even if it killed him.
“Steve!” Robin called, out of breath and desperate.
Just as he’d turned around, he knocked right into the back of the big, blond vamp. All of which caused the guy to turn around and look Steve up and down like Robin hadn’t even been there with her stake drawn and ready to kill.
“Hey there,” fangs greeted Steve, but didn’t attempt to smother him. He was being…flirtatious.
Steve raised an eyebrow and didn’t have to turn around to recognize the sound of two vamps being turned to dust. Robin was the focused one now, because Steve was having a difficult time accepting just who was in front of him this time.
“Hargrove?”
The wrinkled face was replaced with youthful, smooth skin, and the familiar blue eyes lingered on Steve once again before flickering back at the slayer making her way for them with a murderous expression upon her face.
He began to back away, the cross tucked down as a sign of hesitant trust. He didn’t miss the eyebrow that went up as Billy caught the action.
Robin had paused, watching them carefully and confused. And, Steve knew why. Because Steve had made a mistake on purpose and Billy wasn’t acting normal either. He wasn’t staring at Steve’s neck, he was looking him in the eye.
Steve opened his mouth, trying to think of something to say.
Billy looked him up and down again and smirked, “Leave the window open for me,” he winked and then fled.
Steve’s blood ran cold, and stayed that way even when Robin promised to track Hargrove down.
Every sound outside made Steve jump out of his bed and stare silently at the window, expecting to see a shadow back-lit by the uncanny lightening of the storm.
He was sat up in his bed with a boring history textbook he was attempting to read from the light of his bedside lamp. He had a headache and his eyes were drooping continuously every time he finished a sentence from the book.
Eventually, he let them stay closed…until there was tapping at his bedroom window.
He startled awake and shoved himself against his bed frame. And there it was. Against the navy blue of his curtains was the outline of the very recognizable Billy Hargrove. Steve shivered as another short round of tapping occurred.
When he didn’t answer, Billy’s voice filtered through the glass as he sung Steve’s name out.
Steve didn’t move, even though Billy’s voice reminded him of those tales of sirens his mother liked to tell him about. He wasn’t about to be vamp chow just because he was…attracted to Billy Hargrove. He shivered again, this time to shake himself out of the stupor he’d been in while staring at the window.
He suddenly realized that the lamp was still on and cursed quietly. So much for pretending he wasn’t home.
He decided quickly to go back to sleep. Or, pretending to sleep. There was no way in Hell that he was actually sleeping with that lurking outside his window. No matter the fact that Billy couldn’t enter without his verbal invitation, it was the first time Steve’d been stalked by one of them.
He turned around in his bed, facing his back to the window and hoping Billy might’ve seen him do so, so he’d get the point.
“Open the window, Pretty Boy,” Billy voice gently made its way to Steve’s ears again, “I know you’re awake in there!”
Steve tried to force his heart not to stutter, but he failed miserably as lightening struck again right after Billy spoke.
He began to weigh his options. On one hand, he could just ignore Billy. It would probably save him a lot of regret. On the other, Steve was curious as Hell to determine why Billy was so obsessed with him. And, if Billy really wanted to feed on him, he would’ve just caught him outside his front door. Which, it wasn’t as though he hadn’t been ready with a cross and a stake in each hand, but if Billy was showing up at his window, he was probably determined enough.
He stood up from his bed, very slowly, and carefully made his way to the window. And he knew by the way the shadow was facing him, that Billy was probably already looking at him.
He was right.
The curtain was pushed away and Billy’s eyes didn’t move a centimeter from where they were set on Steve’s eyes. Even when Steve’s traveled fall over the soaked look Billy had. His usually curly hair was drenched in waves around his face, and his clothes were soaked through. The loose button up he had was plastered to his torso in a very alluring way. It made him look away.
A grin filled out the man’s face in pure satisfaction and delight, “Care to let me in?”
Steve glared back, “No.”
Billy tapped on the window and cupped one of his ears, “What was that?” he asked, “I couldn’t hear you through the glass?”
Steve raised his eye brow and crossed his arms in front of his chest, “Oh, really?”
Billy nodded in mock seriousness and chattered his teeth while hugging himself, “I’m freezing.”
Steve rolled his eyes, “You can’t feel anything,” he uselessly reminded them both, “Do you really think I’m that gullible?”
Billy pouted, “I just want to see you.”
Steve reached for the curtain and began to pull it closed, done with the fake conversation they were having.
“No!” Billy called out, “Wait a minute.”
Steve waited, annoyed.
“Please,” Billy pleaded, “I just need somewhere to stay.”
“Why would I help you?” Steve asked.
“Because you’re my last hope, and you’re too good a person to not have a little part of you want to give me a chance.” Billy read him like a children’s book.
Steve glared at him again, “What were you doing in the graveyard tonight?”
“Living,” Billy shrugged. “The graveyard kind of is our territory.”
Steve nodded hesitantly and then took a small breath for his next question, “Did you change Fred?” Billy hesitated before he answered, and that’s made Steve’s blood begin to boil, but he didn’t receive the answer he expected.
“No,” Billy shook his head, “That was something much bigger than me. Fred didn’t talk about it much,” Billy continued, “But he kept telling me that he’d escaped.”
Steve sighed, because he could follow what that meant. Something bigger was going on, and Robin was really not going like the sound of another army of vampyrs brewing.
He took another look at Billy again. Perched outside his window with inhuman balance, soaked to the bone to the point that his vampy paleness made sense for once, and a pleading downcast to his usual playfulness.
“Are you here to bite me?” he made sure to keep looking Billy in the eye, even if he really wanted to look away.
Billy’s lips upturned slightly, “Maybe a little, if you let me.” And…wow. Steve blinked back at him, blankly. Suddenly, Billy was much softer as he gazed back at Steve, “I’m not gonna hurt you.”
Steve stepped back from the window and felt some guilt when Billy’s face dropped as though he’d been rejected. But, when Steve unlocked the window and pulled it open, he looked up again in shock. A calloused hand reached out and pressed against the magickal barrier between them.
How do you know that?”
Billy considered his words and then quietly answered, “Because you somehow make the demon in me feel starved for something other than blood.”
Steve couldn’t help but chuckle a little at that, even if his heart fluttered again.
“What are you talking about?”
Billy bit his lip cautiously, like he wasn’t sure how much to tell Steve.
“I think our…souls mean something to each other. When I’m near you, I feel like something fits back together inside me, and that other thing that makes me kill hides back in the shadows.” He looked over Steve’s thoughtful expression. “I don’t want to hurt anyone right now, Steve, especially you. And I think it has something to do with you.”
Steve turned around and walked back to his bed, picking up his textbook off of the floor and glancing back at the window. Where Billy was slowly losing hope.
“Come in, Billy.”

Throwback to when Yaz couldn’t tell the difference between an egg and a rock and we thought we were going to get a discussion on the ethics of eating animals and their byproducts.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Even if they ultimately decided not to and conveniently found another food source it would’ve been an interesting discussion and seeing who would and wouldn’t kill and eat dinosaur meat, even if it was as a last resort, would've been a good dive into who they are as people and what won't they do, even when desperate.
Like, their opinions on it would be so interesting to listen to for a few reasons;
Ben already eats live bugs and is in full survival mode.
Darius loves dinosaurs but understands the food chain.
Sammy flip-flops on her morals around killing animals for food, her own or others, when it suits her.
They could all live with burning Too to survive, and no one has criticized Ben for purposely seeking out Too and attacking him.*
And if hunting was off the table, what about scavenging from whatever’s left of a larger carnivore kills?
Are anklyosauruses off the table because of Bumpy? Even though Sammy’s character has been cemented as being the “you can love them and eat them” type via Bessie? (Though she’d never eat Bessie.)
*(Also, unrelated but it looks/sounds like Ben didn't start eating bugs until after Bumpy came back, so he fought Toro on a diet of berries and rage.)
Update (because it’s been a minute):
So….I’m coming back to Hellenic polytheism because test driving Christianity didn’t work out at all and instead sent my mental health spiraling in a way it hasn’t in YEARS. Granted it was already not great beforehand but common denominators or whatever, probably didn’t help that I already have some past religious trauma from Christianity.
I knew it was a risk, and I knew there was a chance it wouldn’t work or be the right fit but I’m glad I had the courage to try it. I just wish it didn’t send me into this free fall with my mental health but it is what it is and its been so long since it’s been like this so I guess I’m due or whatever.
I will probably be posting about getting reconnected with the gods and other similar things, but…yeah! That’s the update. And for the record, don’t worry about me, my mom is already fretting over me (affectionately ofc) and I’m working on getting insurance again so I can get meds and start seeing a therapist again. And potentially going inpatient if need be. So it’ll work out in due time.
Anyways, this is how I feel right now:
IM BACK BITCH
Ahem
Assassin’s Creed x Dead by Daylight
It’s one thing to be the hunter hiding in the shadows, but how well does an assassin do being the one hunted?
Really well, actually.
Assassins are trained to hide, to be untraceable, to vanish once the blood is drawn. Funny how the things that made them formidable killers also made them excellent survivors.
I wonder what would happen if they played both roles?
The first: a Killer forced to go against their morality, to spill the blood of the innocent, to cause suffering where there once was the swift mercy of death. A puppet to another’s inhumane game. (Or perhaps the killer was a brother, an assassin who’s already distanced himself from the creed, from the brotherhood. One who wouldn’t shy away from the blood on his blade.)
The second: a Survivor forced to endure a constant hunt where they are unable to use their blade, unable to protect the innocent around them, unable to fight back with the skills they spent a lifetime (and then some) cultivating to defend themselves. They can hide, they can work with a team, but they cannot escape.
What if these two were to meet?
A brother vs a brother.
A diabolical game where there are no winners.
Idk, I just think it’d be neat.
(You can pick the Assassins btw, definitely thinking about Desmond being the survivor because, well, yeah, he’s the most emotional and deals with the most bullshit situations, but honestly it could be anyone. It would be interesting if it was Ezio or Altaïr as a survivor, mainly because I don’t think any of the Survivors are from that far back in history, so it would be interesting to see that interaction. Just do whatever is most interesting to you.)
(Maybe you can have more than one survivor? Have some bonding between Desmond and his ancestors or something?)
(Also, the new map could be something like the Abstergo lab or Alamut or Masyaf or something?)
(Oh!! also extra crossovers! Like Resident Evil and Stranger Things, man, these just write themselves ^_^)
(For the horny bitches: we got plenty to choose from ;P monster fuckers, rejoice!)
