Exhibit C - Your honor they love each other! 3.05 (fuffy)

This is a pro-fuffy BTVS rewatch. (Happy Pride Month!) Exhibit C is S03E05, aka 3x05, aka 3.05 Homecoming. Long post.

1. Apparently Scott has not invited Buffy to the Homecoming dance despite their dating. WTF? He apparently didn’t feel comfortable expressing his interest in going, and claims he thought she would think it was corny. This is very strange. Anyway, they establish they will go and kiss. It’s borderline PG kissing y’all. *snort*

2. Buffy explains to Angel that things are different now. “And I'm involved with someone.” Wait, does this mean she realizes her budding non-straight feelings for Faith? *eh-eh buzzer* I’m sorry but no. Instead she proclaims her something for Scott: “His name is Scott. He's a nice, solid guy. He makes me happy...” A nice solid guy? OK, still a better comment on your SUPPOSED love interest than calling them a doofus (Riley in future S04), but a “nice, solid guy”? This is how you describe a good mechanic or plumber or weed guy, not your boo.

3. The show directly cuts to Scott breaking up with her. This made me cackle with glee. He says it’s because she is distracted all the time. Buffy was not expecting this, but admits that it’s true. Honestly I wish Scott had held on for one more episode. Imagine an AU where the vibe is more comedy. I swear we could have gotten a scene like this:

(inspo here) Imagine Buffy (Ilana) is talking to Scott (ooooh or Angel!) but then Faith (Abbi) needs to talk to her. (Yeah I know Abbi and Ilana are a platonic friendship but still.)

4a. Buffy is missing headshots for the yearbook, but Cordelia says she’ll go tell her. What is she doing instead of having her photo taken? She is training with Faith in the library. No that’s not a euphemism. This is the ONLY scene in this episode where they talk to each other. (This episode and specifically this scene is the creation of Fuffy for me. It’s seared into my brain, and yet - y’all it is literally less than a minute!) OK, so let's break it down... Buffy has an edge post-Scott-breakup, which Faith appreciates.

Faith-thee-slayer translates this excellently: “you’re hot when you’re angry. i’m angry all the time and seeing it in you validates my belief that we are the same person. i don’t want to hear about your boyfriends. you being single means more time with me.”

4b. Done with training, Buffy puts on a hoodie and Faith encourages her to move on. Buffy is now single and Faith decides to ask Buffy to go to the dance together. She’s shooting her shot y’all!! (haydenpanettieres has the build up to this moment.)

Spoiler alert: they are literally flirting! (summrsbuffy has photos of this) OK, here's the dialogue with my translation in italicized brackets. Faith starts:

You move on, and you party heavily, and you’ll be fine. I mean, you’re still going to that dance right?

Maybe (Buffy drinks her juice)

You got the tickets already. Why don’t we go together?

(Buffy puts the bottle down) I don't know about that. (she smiles)

[Buffyspeak translation: Whoa, that seems a little gay and I’m not gay. But uhm… say more.]

Come on. We’ll find a coupla studs, we’ll use ‘em and discard ‘em. (points at Buffy) That’s always fun. (drinks her own bottle of juice)

[Faithspeak translation: Uhm…. Nope not gay at all. What if we find some boy toys. That would make it less gay right? (points) You know you’ll have fun with me. (let me mirror you drinking your juice, see I’m just like you, nothing to worry about!)]

OK, I’m in. Not the stud-using part, though. (she raises her eyebrows) Or, probably not. (she smiles)

[Buffyspeak translation: OK, you made it less gay enough. We’ll just flirt with boys. How's my flirting BTW?]

Scene summary: When Buffy seems initially unsure about going to Homecoming with Faith, Faith re-centers men into the scenario. ("it's totally hetero dude") This gives Buffy the space to agree. And Buffy flirts back at Faith.

4c. OK, one other comment on this scene. There’s something going on with the framing right? The way Cordelia is watching them for a second before entering the library, but then she gets distracted and never goes in. She watches through the round window. Herinsectreflections lays it out for us. (technically aryaspork sets it up and herinsectreflections spikes it for the win here.) Gah!!

5. Buffy has one more interaction with Scott about her running for homecoming queen. She says that it’s just something to pass the time. Hmmmm, feels like this could be her commentary on dating him.

6. Bonus song thoughts: Background song during this Scott scene is also not-coincidental. (Fire Escape by Fastball): “I may not be the man you want me to be” = Scott can’t be her normal boring human boyfriend / can't be a good beard. “I can be myself” = Scott will be honest with himself. “How bout you?” = can Buffy be herself? Will Buffy realize her feelings for Faith? OK that last one could be a stretch.

7. Buffy walks to the limo, thinking that Faith is already inside, and no one else. Buffy is smiling so hard. Could this be a moment where she is happy to be going to the dance and perhaps going to be named Queen? Sure. But perhaps she is looking forward to seeing Faith. This is reinforced when she sees Cordelia instead and is disappointed. “What’s going on? Where’s Faith?” She doesn’t say “why are you here?” (emphasis on not liking Cordelia, since they are fighting). She says “Where’s Faith?” (where’s my da… I mean my gaaaaal pal)

8. Faith is shown at the dance with Willow and Oz, but they are total downers. She notices Scott with a girl and calls him a sleazebag. She’s wearing a formal dress and looks so different in formal wear than her regular wear. How we choose to present ourselves (body language, clothing, makeup) is important. Faith chooses her outfits and makeup and it’s a bit of battle armor for her. Part of her carefully put-together charming confident girl face. (I think her 3.03 Bronze pants are actually OOC, but we can talk more later about outfits.) She’s without some of her battle armor and perhaps that increases her insecurity?

9. Now Faith finds Scott and pretends to be a girl he dated, with some made up story about STD symptoms. I get the impulse to trash Scott in front of his new girl, but this is EXTREME. (Buffy didn’t ask her to do this, we don’t even see Buffy venting to Faith about getting dumped.) OK, bizarre-ness aside, check how Faith makes sure Scott’s date doesn’t miss what’s happening. The little shoulder tap - smile - “hi.”

This is brilliant - in its own twisted way. I can’t help but think this is motivated by Faith’s frustration that Buffy still hasn’t shown up. (elizadusku-archive has a good gifset) But the real question is, does Faith recognize her feelings for Buffy? Does she understand she like-likes Buffy? I would buy any of these arguments: that (A ) Faith doesn’t process her emotions well in general and is overly impulsive and takes it out on Scott. OR that (B ) Faith is still figuring out that she likes Buffy (and/or girls in general) and that frustration leads to this scene. People do strange things when the queer-ness leaks out of their overly stuffed brain. OR that (C ) Faith knows that she like-likes Buffy, is jealous of Scott for what he had, and angry at him for hurting Buffy, and so deliberately lashes out at him. My money is on C.

10. Faith has no more lines. Buffy and Cordelia return to Homecoming. But even formal-wear-Faith with no lines is a point in favor of Fuffy. She stayed! (blink and you’ll miss it tho) The entire dance, and she stayed. She invited Buffy to go to the dance with her, got a dress, did her hair up, hung out with Buffy’s joyless friends, had her scene with Scott, and she kept staying even after that! We don't see Faith scoping out any studs or anyone at all. She wanted to see her date / friend and maybe cheer on her win. Sadly we don't see Buffy talk to her once she arrives. (I like to think they caught up off-screen but that is inadmissible to the court since our exhibits are limited to the video on record.)

Imagine we had gotten to see the two of them at the Homecoming dance hanging out! *sigh* Also I just have to say, who drinks orange juice after they work out?? They are clearly meant for each other, haha.

Summary: They love each other rating: 2 out of 5. Some will see this as “just going to the dance with my gal pal.” I think Buffy’s actions (in reaction to the invite) and Faith’s actions (to Scott) show there is something more than just pure hetero-ness. It’s in the early stages your honor, but they love each other! Faith is definitely interested in Buffy as more than friends. After Scott dumps Buffy, Faith made her move. (Go Faith! Shooting your shot!) And Buffy accepted Faith’s invite to go to the dance together.

What do you think of the season 3 episode titles?

Okay anon! I have some thoughts. I will give my thoughts one each episode title and some speculation.

3x01…been slut shamed:

Now, we got the table read for this one and there were some things I liked but also things I didn’t like.

Things I liked:

•Paxton not pressuring Devi to have sex and being understanding (this is literally the bare minimum btw)

•Kamala breaking up with her boyfriend.

•the second talk between Kamala and Devi

Things I didn’t like:

•lady whistle boy (WHY!!!!! WHY!!!!!! NO!!!! This is so corny and dumb I just can’t).

• Aneesa and Ben still being together! BREAK UP!!! Let anessa have a storyline that isn’t plot device.

There’s more but honestly that’s all I can remember and I am to lazy to go find it and read it again.

3x02 ... Had my own troll

This is very interesting, I assume this will be the anonymous Instagram dmer. I still think this is Shira or Zoe.

3x03... had a valentine

Totally a daxton centered episode. I have a feeling this is going to a big part of why deiv and Paxton break up. Liek he is going to get her either something super lame for Valentine’s Day or just totally forget about it.

3x04... made someone jealous

Idk how to feel about this one, there are been some speculation that it’s not Devi’s pov but Ben’s which I think would be very interesting. Idk if I agree with it though, I think it’s more likely that Paxton gets really jealous of Ben and Devi’s friendship. Or what’s more likely is this is when the new kid will be introduced!

3x05... been ghosted

I have a feeling that this is when Devi and Paxton will get close to breaking up or break up. I feel like they will have a fight and then maybe he will just stop talking to her. Or this could be when the anonymous Instagram user stops messaging her, idk.

3x06... had a breakdown

I’ve seen speculation that this is Ben’s pov, which honestly I could definitely see.

3x07... cheated

I really am hoping that this isn’t another cheating in a relationship storyline cause that is just stupid. I would guess this would be like cheating on a test. Idk 🤷🏻‍♀️

3x08... hooked up with my boyfriend

I know a lot of people want this to be Devi hooking up with Paxton but I think it is in reference to Nalini and Dr. Jackson. That’s all.

Sorry these aren’t very profound or anything. I’m scared of speculating to much and disappointing myself. I just really really want a trailer to drop soon, so I can have a bit more to go on.

ZZZZ Season 5 what a snoozefest! They really need to get it together soon, like Betty and Jughead soon lol!! And btw what is the deal going on with both of them right now? Does Jughead even know Betty exists anymore, it seems he doesn't. And her to him! Don't like this at all! Wake me up when it's over (or they are back together again lol! How much longer do we have to wait?)

Okay, thank you for sending me this message to allow me to rant about Season 5, under the cut for negativity reasons. 

I think I can sum it up in saying “I am so very bored by Season 5.” I don’t think I’ve ever been this bored by a season before. And before you assume it is 100% because of the Bughead of it all, let me clarify.

It is absolutely possible to do a time jump well. I’m also giving them some leeway for Covid, and for the shortened season. 

However, Riverdale has a formula that makes it work. I don’t know who it was (maybe @bettycooper? It sounds smart enough to be a Cat thing to say) but someone described it as “chaos in the streets, monogamy in the sheets.” That describes Riverdale well. It’s crazy plots, some that are followed through, some that aren’t but it’s insanity and it knows it. It keeps you on your toes. And backing that are the tried and true couplings, namely, BugVarChoni. They are the backbone of Riverdale, particularly Bughead. It’s made Riverdale work for 4 seasons. Some of my personal fave episodes are ones like 2x14, 4x03, 3x05-3x07, 1x13, 2x21-22, 4x16, 4x19. Relationship-based episodes with more plots than in a full season of another show. 

Season 5 exploded all that. It’s a core betrayal to the very things that make Riverdale work. I honestly liked 5x01 and 5x02, which were still in the universe of the Riverdale I liked. 5x03 leaned heavily on the relationships and the plot suffered. That mix is so important. And then...the time jump. The giant disappointment that is the time jump. The thing is, I was good with 5x04. It put the characters in an interesting place, and I was keen to know more. The problem is, in the following six episodes, nothing happened. We sat through 6 episodes of entirely plot. And I could summarize the important events from those six episodes in two sentences. The very reason 5x10 stood out so much is because it was more like a true Riverdale episode. Absolutely nuts and backed by relationships. I could cobble together the important scenes from 5x05-5x09 and it’d fill half an episode, max. It’s what Riverdale should never be, it’s boring. 

And then there’s the bughead. Yes, at the end of the day, I’m here for Bughead, and to say it’s been slow going is quite the understatement. I get it, I do. Season 5A is set up, Season 5B is presumably knockdown. But wow, I shouldn’t have to sit through half an entire season and the only thing I have to show for it is half an episode of scenes and one hallucination. Don’t misunderstand, I loved the scenes we got, and there will likely be payoff in 5B. But that was all we got. 

And another thing! For episodes so full of exposition, we should know more about the characters that the show has explicity showed us, not just implied for us. We got a lot through exposition, Betty and Jughead’s state of mind is clear, but we’ve had SO MUCH plot exposition and SO LITTLE character exposition. I get that Betty’s using sex to stifle her trauma. SHOW US WHY. TELL US WHY. WHAT CAUSED THIS?

Before you say it - I know we will find out. I get that. But it’s been six post time jump episodes and we still know so little. We shouldn’t be at half-season and know this little. 

So yes, so far, Season 5 has been a giant disappointment.

thoughts on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow 3x01-3x05 (I watch this show backwards, deal with it xD)

I’m loving watching Zari getting to know the team (and tricking them! LOL), being the outsider one, etc. Especially after how in s4 she was often the one to welcome Constantine, the new outsider, in (yes, this are my Constantine/Zari feels coming in. At this moment, I’m side-eyeing fandom for not fully appreciating this ship after the last episode xDD). I love how excited she is about time travel (and how she hacks Gideon lol. Another character that should receive more shippy attention, js. I loled when she used a pic of herself on that dating app to hack all the phones --that strategy worked for comics!Tony too lol. Now I want them to meet xD), or about the food in the ship (when she said she wanted to eat like a queen *-*) how Ray is the first one she really bonds with (I’m going to miss him soooo much). Seeing how much he mourned her brother and her family first hand is making me even more happy that she got them back in s5. I hope she gets her memories back and she gets to enjoy all that emotional payoff.

I liked what little I saw of Jax on The Flash, but now that I’ve met him properly... can we trade him for Ava or Gary (or Mick, though so far he’s a lot less annoying in s3; likely because he has no plot of his own yet and so doesn’t take space from everyone else. And I LMAO when he pulled that stake out of nowhere and was so gung-ho about vampires xD) so we can get him back, please?? I love him. I might even concede and watch s2&s1 to get more of him. I love that he’s the most vocal against the Time Bureau, or in favor of not returning Zari. And I really like his dynamic with Sara (add him to the pile of people I rather she was paired week, smh). It’s bullshit that he’s no longer in the show. And he does look good on any era. I’m also curious about his mental link with Martin (that he said “well done” when Jax got laid asdflaksdfja. Also, I love they took their shot and made the Titanic joke with the actor, btw), and I’m pre-mourning what I know is gonna happen :/. I’m actively trying not to like Martin to protect myself lol, but it’s hard because I love the actor, and he‘s pretty endearing.

After Jax, the old-but-new-to-me character I’ve liked most is obviously Amaya. The actress does a really good job (not that I’m surprised. She made me feel breifly interested in Rebekah Mikaelson in The Originals --where she ALSO played too different characters, albeit in a shorter span--, that’s a miracle xD), because she and Charlie feel completely different. I’m looking forward to seeing more about her and her family (Kuasa’s totem’s powers are THE COOLEST). BTW, Nate acting all fixated on her is clearly his less attractive look RME; let’s hope he doesn’t get like that with Zari, ever, because I prefer how he was written in s4 tbh. OTOH, that said of him provided us with the hilarious moment of Amaya telling him that her fate was interwined with someone else’s on the ship... ZARI XDD (yet another gr10 rareship. This show is so good at those and then fails to follow through :/).

Kid!Ray was absolutely adorable. Of fucking course he befriended an incredibly dangerous baby alien. O-F-C. I love him. Now Nora’s been introduced too (possessed!Nora was sooooo creepy. I loved it), and I’m really looking forward to seeing them together.

Since I mentioned how many rareships this show provides, here’s some that I’ve liked in these episodes: Jax/Sara (their friendship is so so good), Amaya/Sara (their scene when Sara asked for her help was SO SOFT. And I loved how they looked on that 80s car lol), Amaya/Zari (duh), Sara/Zari (the Tension(TM)), Nora/Zari (I liked the reading scene idk), Gideon/practically everyone ofc (mainly Sara, Zari, and Jax)... probably more I’m forgetting. I even enjoyed Rip/Sara a bit --he’s dull and nothing to write home about, but I enjoyed their scenes and I liked it when they betrayed each other and Sara sold him out xDD.

Ava makes even less sense as Sara’s partner the more context I get. I can’t stand her, man. When she clearly didn’t gaf about the future being screwed over by A.R.G.U.S. and wanted to put Zari back in prison smh. And please nobody come at me about how she’s “evolved” or something. She learned NOTHING from that because she had the same deplorable attitude with the prisoners in season four (which she didn’t even apologize for or even acknowledge as wrong, IIRC). I despise her and I want her gone gone gone.

Okay, I know he was only in one scene so far, but I don’t like how this show writes Wally lmao. He ~felt more like an idiot jock, not like himself (that he took his mask off in public doesn’t help...). I hope it improves because I was looking forward some good Wally rareship content too smh.

Some of my fave random moments of these episode: Julius Caesar hitting on Sara and wanting to rule the world with her when she goes to him for advice xDD, and the saber tooth tiger. I love saber tooth tigers (one day we can talk about my Feels(TM) about the Ice Age franchise lmao), but seeing one miniaturized was extra cute lol. And well, not a “fave” one, but my brain exploded when I heard the words “King Arthur got stuck in the Spanish Civil War” omg. I don’t even want to imagine how that would go O_O

Behind The Scenes

The midseason finale…

In order to go through the S&S of the Midseason Finale, we will have in many points to go back to the rest of the S5P1 episodes, especially the 5x07, but also explore a part of 5x09 which up to this day remains untitled due to the spoiler it seems to give away.

This episode can be better explained as the action and effect pattern. Whatever you do in due time it will catch up with you and that seems to be the theme here. We are not talking just about consequences although there will be plenty however the fact that in this episode we will probably realize that Lucifer’s decisions brought him to this point and the same applies for Chloe’s existence in his life and perhaps her entity as well. But I get ahead of myself…

Okay so as you have noticed throughout the season we have several subplots going and most of them will give way to 5x08 which in turn will lead us to the second part of S5.

First, we need to talk about the bracelets. I have mentioned many times that 5x08 will provide a permanent solution to whatever is going on with them and active seekers of that solution seem to be mainly Amenadiel and Maze. That is because most probably little Charlie provides part of that solution. If I’m correct then Charlie exhibits something that aids Lucifer and Daniel to a point but the real answer lies on 5x04. Additionally do remember that Dan seemed to be able to battle the influence of Azrael’s blade so keep that to the back of your head as well.  

As promised to many I will not reveal nothing of the script but I’ll provide you with a prop that laid in plain sight yet only the people who knew what it was about could decode it. That will be mentioned at the end of the episode as it is also connected to 5x09 so be sure that the bracelet issue will be out of the picture in this episode but we have so many things to cover still.

Second, comes the Serial Killer who appears in the episodes 5x07 and 5x08. It is true that on Twitter we were informed that Chloe and an Officer are in a very small freshly painted room and they had to act distresses and shaken. (I contemplated on hiding the name but then I decided against it mainly because she has already tagged Lauren in her posts. I’m still a bit uneasy about this to be honest).

Many believe that Chloe gets kidnapped and that would be a good explanation yet as I have mentioned before do not expect her to die or at least to have a conventional ‘death’ believe the writers will not take that route. In this story we either get Lucifer to act impulsively and reclaim Chloe from death or in a very uncommon fashion we get that Chloe is more than a Miracle but do not go again to this poignant discussion she is an angel etc. Let’s speculate that Chloe is something more connected to Lucifer’s past and we will get how only at the end of 5x08 perhaps even in 5x09…

So enough with the small S&S of the two main subplots and let’s gate to what is happening during the episode!

Let’s talk locations something that I didn’t do in 5x07 because I wanted to focus more on the ones in 5x08.

- WB lot house

- Bronson Caves

- Linda’s house

- Freshly painted room

In order to break down the locations we need to see who is working with whom in this episode.

First, let’s start with Amenadiel and Maze. For the past episodes they have come very close and in this episode, they once again aim to deliver. There is a dedication there a need to protect their newfound family. Charlie, Lucifer, Dan and of course the rest of the not so much affected parties from the multiple threats they face in S1P1.

We know that there is something like a fight breaking in at the precinct. A crowd gathers quickly I believe from the interrogation room to the main area. I believe it is mainly related to Chloe and the Officer being stuck in the small room (notice here she said room not cave) but that remains to be seen. 

Lucifer and Maze seem to be rather pissed at least Maze that is and leads to probably the photo where Lucifer is behind an officer (the actor is a friend of Kevin Alejandro) where Lucifer shows him something (a photo? a number? a location?) and threatens to have some results. You can see that Maze is at the left side of that photo.

Of course, the above scene might be happening somewhere else but my gut at the moment tells me that Lucifer has had enough and wants answers. I do not believe he ever recovered completely from 2x13 so that opens the proverbial can of worms…

If I’m correct about this then Lucifer is wearing blue at the beginning of the episode and then purple. The reason for that speculation is because in one of Lesley-Ann’s videos Ellis’ stunt wears a purple shirt while Lucifer when he demands answers from that officer/security he wears the dark blue so I guess that the purple shirt is what we will see at the second half of the episode. PS I love the silver cufflinks on the blue shirt arrangement. That is also supported by Ella’s t-shirt in the precinct and then the car meaning Lucifer and Maze go in the precinct and then he leaves with Ella. 

So perhaps that’s when Ella finds out? I’m not sure but it\s nice to suppose she does in 5x08. 

Btw Alejandro here reminds me so much of James Marsters aka Spike in Buffy :P 

Maybe today Satan... :D Rafferty was always a great tease... 

In this episode, we have also seen Lucifer with some bullet halls but his shirts in 5x08 do not seem to fully support that incident in that episode as he wears deep purple and midnight blue shirts. Of course, that scene might be happening early on the episode but I could be cautious here.

Now probably after the precinct scene, we had Amenadiel and Maze patterning up and of course Lucifer and Ella. Amenadiel and Maze seem to be again preoccupied with the bracelet mystery but also we have a scene where Maze is at Linda’s house with the same clothes and we also have Charlie in a beautiful onesie in light blue with moons and stars.

At the same time, Lucifer and Ella with his car pay a visit to a house at the suburbs which we know it’s at the lot and might or might not be connected to previous episodes of S5 yet I’m not certain about that one. In order for that to happen

Okay so! We know that at some point Lucifer and Maze end up at the Bronson caves. Now here is a not so secret secret. Lucifer this season has three stages and many sets are constructed in order for the cast to not leave the lot often and for the requests of the writers' room to be easier to be full field. Of course, that has happened before with the country bar that was constructed in 4x04, or the hospital in 3x16 where Lucifer gets Abel’s soul back from Hell but in S5 they are doing some spectacular things with the props. Actually, one of the parts of the cave has been built in the stages so Lesley-Ann’s photo at the cave is in reality at the stages not on location.

So we have Lucifer and Maze and also their stunts there (Well at least Lucifer’s that is). I do not know if the small room is supposed to be in the caves or somewhere completely different but for the most part of the episode our leads are trying to resolve the issue of the bracelet combined with Chloe and the Serial Killer.

You can see that on location they changed the arrangement of the rocks a bit adding some bigger rocks to look perhaps like a planetary system. Also in Lesley-Ann’s photo, you can see at the right some stairs. I wished it was part of the prohibition tunnel Lucifer claimed LUX to be full with but only time will tell if that is true or it’s simply part of the cave system of the Bronson Caves.

Notice the difference between the rocks that were placed from the production and down how the arrangement was a day before the shot on location. 

A small trivia here. The Bronson Caves is mainly known as the Batcave as it was used as the Batcave for the Batman series back in the 1960s. Originally a quarry it remained unused in the 10th century and use for series and films have earned it a spot as an L.A. landmark from the state f California.

Moving on!

The last acts of this episode will be interesting to see… We do have some unbelievable revelations and consequences in my opinion and in Lucifer series fashion we should be ready to perhaps welcome a hard to swallow, truth.

Lucifer in this season had an unparalleled growth. If you seek for Deckerstar romance I’m not sure we will get to have them in a relationship just yet and although that saddens me, in 5x09 it’s promised to finally move on towards that. Yes, they are in love and they appear to be also committed to each other but I do not think we have enough evidence to claim they are in a relationship but then again what happens in the stages between Ellis and Lauren as Lucifer and Chloe almost never gets out.

Concluding the 5x08 episode we should expect the following. Sure the serial will be killed or arrested with the probability laying on being killed but when have the writers ever played fair? I do not think that the officer who was with Chloe will make it either but here is into hoping! Usually, the reoccurring character that is mentioned or has few lines goes unsung into the light or fire…

We expect that Charlie will manifest an interesting side we were expecting since S4 but will become more prominent in S5 and even though it is expected it will probably catch us by surprise.

As I have said to expect Dan to be now aware of what is going on and who Lucifer actually is.

There is a young girl in the cast which I have no idea what her role is. Also, there is a small LUX scene in this episode for which we know next to nothing I’m afraid as it must be something really quick.

Another information is that there was a bts with a flying harness. The bts says for floating only and I’ll believe that but I cannot swear to you it will be used for Lucifer. Sometimes stunts are employed in different jobs or have different routines so although I’m positive about it I cannot guarantee it’s for our show. Plus, we know that there is a lot of CGI happening in this episode.

Now the last part I want to talk about before adding a small mention to 5x09. I have said many times that everything in this season is connected. When I saw that prop I wondered whether to not mention it or to do so with the minimal effect possible. So I did the second. I covered the extra spoilers around it and I left two things. Lucifer’s suit jacket and the engraved ankh on that prop. When the season drops you will get the whole thing but for now it.

Borrowing some lines from Wikipedia you will probably realize where this is going:

For the ones who fear I have gone too far, fear not. Even with the above the actual plot is still well concealed but two things are exposed.

1) Everything at some point backfires.

2) AGN might have been into something.

That’s, of course, a spoiler based speculation but the spoiler is still there. The supernatural aspect of S5 rearranges things and views on people, reals and even entities. When they ask me - no idea with what authority I can answer those question as I’m but a fan - whether one will live more or they will both die or even if they will grow old etc the reality lies on a very simple truth. 

Most fans envision of Deckerstar and the series finale is based to what we know not what S5 introduces us to. New episodes mean new information and new facts to take into consideration. Above all? Lucifer as a series is not a regular show that abides to human rules meaning time, life, death and procreation. It goes beyond that and that is why we can rarely speculate about where it leads us as that damn Lightbringer shines too bright for any of us to see clearly where that path leads us.

Finally, I would like to add an observation from 5x09 but without bts. In one bts we saw that Lauren had certain marks but none noticed the deathly pale make up. 5x09 does not support Chloe’s death as you know but Deckerstar moving forward with also a romantic scene on location at Grand Park of L.A. So why should we so worried about?

Nothing really aside from the fact that Chloe was probably wrong as was Lucifer. Past and Present seem to be merged and new realizations arise thus giving our leads an equal footing but the consequences have most probably hit Chloe at the beginning of 5x09 not in a bad way necessarily yet enough for the whole mess of Dan, Charlie, Lucifer and Chloe to bring forward God’s appearance in 5x10 for some answers to be finally given as new problems once again plague the main storyline of the series. Nothing drastic ever brings forward only good or evil. Sometimes it makes you Fall, sometimes it makes you Rise Sometimes both happen and sometimes, sometimes everything is reinstated to the preconceived era of everything.

Welcome to Bardo (& Nakara)

So I FINALLY feel like the season is picking up on the story in Season 7 (thank god) and the lull of the first few episodes—excluding the brilliance of episode 2 The Garden bc I LOVE my found family of Diyoza, Hope and Auntie O—to set the scene is starting to build and pay off.

As always there are so many different storylines, this season taking place across 4(!!) different planets, but as it seems to be the general consensus my fav plot is exploring the mystery of Bardo and the anomaly. I’ve been genuinely surprised at how much I’ve liked the Echo/Hope/Gabriel dynamic (until Echo’s newfound rage killing spree) and adding Octavia/Diyoza to the mix this past episode is *chef’s kiss*. I’m a little annoyed at how Clarke has been sidelined so far this season but I’m hoping (and assuming) that she will be back in the main spotlight when her group reaches Bardo (hopefully next episode) and combines forces with the Bardo “rescue” crew (lol they haven’t really had many successful rescues yet). I’m HIGH KEY annoyed at the lack of Bellamy of course, but even though I’m positive he isn’t actually dead it’s still frustrating for him to be off-screen. I hope Clarke breaks down when she finds out he’s supposedly dead (pls from Octavia) and everyone can see how much she loves and cares for him—sensing a callback to her conversation with Raven this episode “how do you do it? you never break” (or maybe that was foreshadowing...). Loved that moment btw. So glad Princess Mechanic was forced to talk one-on-one this episode and get to a mutual understanding and hopefully a step closer toward friendship. I would have loved even more heartfelt confessions and bonding between them (like if Clarke admitted when she did almost break ie. alone on Earth and in both situations with Bellamy and Madi) but I know there’s only so much time in the episode *sigh*.

I can’t even break down the shitshow going on in Sanctum... I’ve been against the whole repetitive narrative of “us” v “them” factions that don’t seem to have any common sense and focus on petty fights rather than understanding the greater problem at hand (I know they aren’t aware of it yet but like chill out and get along for a few days ffs). Although Insta is absolutely BOSS and the perfect leader in Clarke’s absence. I also loved Madi’s protective aunt and uncles (Emori, Murphy and Jackson). Wow what a beautiful, dysfunctional delinquent family all grown up *sheds tear*. Can they all be back together at the farmhouse having another picnic already? Pls.

Anyways... super excited about the Second Dawn connection. Since it was confirmed that Cadogan and his bunker crew used the anomaly stone on Earth to travel to Bardo after the first apocalypse (makes sense that one cult transforms into another) I’m thinking that Eligius 3 were the “native Bardoans” because their mission left several years before the first apocalypse. Maybe they didn’t figure out how to survive? Or maybe Cadogan came and killed them and just passed down a retold version of history? Oooo I could totally see that with all the previous warped versions of history that made it to future generations.

Still holding out hope for Bellarke since we’re still in the first half of the season. In the meantime I’ll be sitting here patiently anxiously waiting for their inevitably beautiful reunion. The longest they’ve ever been separated before—other than the 2,199 day time jump—was 6 episodes in episode 3 (between 3x05 and 3x11). All other separations have been shorter or else they were at least communicating (via the radio in season 2) or sharing the screen (even though Clarke was Josephine most of season 6). Fingers crossed for that reunion in episode 7 or 9 (8 is the backdoor pilot for the prequel). However, the more Bellamy is MIA from the story, the more I’m thinking he might somehow be the anomaly stormtrooper who grabbed Gaia before breaking the anomaly Stone. Plus I could see the writers totally giving us another “surprise bitch it’s Bellamy” moment of revealing himself from a helmet just like they will (probably) have another Clarke pulling a lever to save the world moment. Gotta love those parallels!!

P.S. I freaking LOVE Levitt and totally ship him and Octavia. Although I’m still loving Gabriel and would love him with her too... idk maybe I’m leaning more towards Levitt because Octavia deserves a man who treats her like a queen. Speaking of queens... who do we think the queen is in next episode “The Queen’s Gambit”. Clarke? She was literally shown as the queen in Sheidheda’s chess game with that subtle transition, but she wasn’t shown in the preview for next week. I actually googled “gambit” because I wasn’t sure what it meant lol but I found it’s either “a device, action, or opening remark, typically entailing a degree of risk that is calculated to gain an advantage” or specifically in chess as “an opening in which a player makes a sacrifice (typically a pawn) for the sake of some compensating advantage.” Well shit now I’m overthinking again. I wonder which plot line this is referring to? If it’s Clarke’s it could be her grand entrance to Bardo to showdown with Anders—like she just takes the risk and storms in guns a blazing to save her friends and shows the disciples the bad bitch she is. Or it could be referencing the chess game methaphor and she has to sacrifice someone (in the Nakara crew??) to gain an advantage over Anders... Based on the preview it seems like Emori could be the pawn sacrificed in the chess game that’s currently taking place in Sanctum—pls god don’t let that happen. Or maybe Emori is the queen since she’s playing the false god as a Prime and she makes some kind of sacrifice to gain back control of Sanctum for our heroes. The obvious option seems to be Clarke because she’s been referenced as the queen so many times in the show and has been positioned as the queen on the chess game metaphorically with Bellamy serving as her Knight/King. Idk anymore. My brain hurts.

in 2x08, there was absolutely nothing wrong with them turning to “carnal defiance”, there’s a reason saying “screw it” and having sex on your “last night on earth” is a popular trope...let alone the “fuck you” element to a sanctimonious serial killer wanting to kill people for “sins”. it only turned into an issue when archie said “i love you” and veronica wanted to ignore it...but even then sex didn’t function as a solution to their problems bc archie kept trying to talk to her about it and then eventually they had to break up bc it wasn’t working.

does 2x14 count? veronica tries to initiate sex but archie rejects her bc he’s mad about her kiss with jughead. it’s worth noting that veronica isn’t necessarily even aware archie’s mad until he rejects her so this is not a “let’s have sex to forget i kissed jughead” moment if ppl have tried to twist it to that.

their first sex scene in 3x10 was another reunion sex scene. yes they had things to talk about that didn’t happen until later that episode but it’s not like they straight up jumped each other without veronica asking him questions, him apologising and understanding if she doesn’t want to simply take up the relationship where it left off. veronica reassures him that she’s just happy he’s home and safe and from archie’s pov at least they’re just having reunion sex, not trying to ignore or solve anything. ofc we know this to be not true. veronica thought she could just jump back into the relationship like normal but it turns out she can no longer ignore her unresolved anger towards him. archie understands. he also has the SATs tomorrow so tonight might not be the best time for a difficult conversation. could we find comfort and familiarity with each other for one more night before everything changes?

and in 4x13 when archie realised veronica was using sex to cover up a bigger issue (which btw wasn’t with their relationship but her own personal issue) he basically forced her to stop and talk about it.

and btw it’s not varchie’s fault that reggie is a side character again now that he’s not involved with veronica, this is a riverdale problem where characters become irrelevant if they’re not involved with a core four storyline. one can ship varchie and wish for more reggie screentime, that’s not inherently contradictory especially since if the ONLY screentime he can get is with veronica that’s a bit of a disservice? not that i think the only s3 screentime he got was veronica related (tho lbr most of it was) but that’s the implication if you hate varchie for relegating reggie to a side character again. as if the writers can’t easily give him screentime and storylines now that he’s no longer with veronica.

and re: hating varchie’s reunion at the end of s3 bc archie’s going through ptsd and needs to focus on himself instead of being in a relationship right now...look, i, too, would’ve loved for archie to have been single for more than two episodes at a time on this show. as a varchie shipper from the pilot (and actually before the pilot bc of the comics) i wish there had been a little more breathing room between his relationship with valerie and veronica. and tho his relationship with grundy definitely qualifies as trauma he didn’t even have ptsd back then! so yeah i get where this is coming from but this is not a varchie problem. just look at the fact that he started dating josie two episodes after he broke up with veronica. but somehow his reunion with veronica at the end of s3 is the real problem? nah. we can talk about this as a general riverdale/archie problem, not a problem specific to one ship. but also. being in a relationship is not exclusive to working on yourself and recovering from ptsd.

Ambi: MY GIRLS I LOVE THEM SO MUCH

 Okay, so I knew some people shipped them back when s2 was airing and I didn’t really understand why tbh, but I didn’t really mind them. Then the trailer for s3 came out and someone made a post about the fact that the only time Andi was smiling throughout the entire thing were the two seconds where she was holding hands with Amber and I was like,, hmm,, i n t e r e s t i n g, but I kind of forgot about it when the season started. And then frickin 3x05 came out and… THE CANOE DATE!! THE FLIRTING!! THE KIND-OF-DATE AT THE END!! It just hit me out of nowhere and from there I was 100% Ambi trash (still am). From then on my love for them just grew with every episode and honestly can you blame me? They’ve come so far and they’re so right for each other, and they have so much history and room for a good, healthy relationship, and they were practically girlfriends at the end there. And now they’re in my top ships ever and I have at least five Ambi fics planned and I just love them so, so much.

Benlos: So I kind of fell in love with them in d1 when Ben helped Carlos get over his fear of dogs - I mean, I knew they were never going to happen but come on it was just the cutest scene ever!! They didn’t really have any scenes in the other two movies so I kind of forgot about them, but I’m rediscovering them now in fics/headcanons/etc (yours is amazing btw!!) and I do really like them

Royalty au where prince Matteo and princess Laura have been arranged for marriage but turns out they’re both gay af. Matteo meets Laura’s brother, prince David, and ends up falling in love. Laura’s relationship with her small village friend Linn is slowly turning into something more.

UGH YOU DON’T EVEN KNOOOOOOOOOOOOOW HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS. this gets me back to my ROOTS @imane-bakhellal @kit-dot-com. alright so what happens is matteo has never actually met laura but he goes over to her kingdom for the wedding and ofc he’s dreading it because He’s Gay but like, even though there’s no homophobia in this universe because i said what i said, sexualities don’t matter when ur a royal in an arranged marriage u just gotta do what u gotta do. and laura’s in the same spot and both her and david r really worried for her that matteo will be Terrible and a Jerk and like she’s a lesbian so they’re doubly worried!!! and then they meet matteo and he’s like. a gremlin boy who’s younger than laura and doesn’t talk much (clearly due to shyness not standoffishness) and they’re like okay,,,,,,,not a threat. and matteo falls for david FROM. FIRST. SIGHT. because duh he does and david doesn’t fall quite as fast but, like, something about matteo’s sad eyes and general demeanor tugs at his heart so he makes an effort to befriend him--just befriend him--but then they’re hanging out in the gardens by a shut down fountain that david has found after escaping from a ball (matteo hates balls just like he hates every part of being a prince, poor dude), and matteo quickly leans in and kisses him just like david kissed him in canon. and then he leans back and is like Oh No I Made A Mistake but david is already reaching to pull him back in! and the next morning they’re in david’s fancy royal bed doing their cuddling 3x05 thing and matteo is miserably like “well at least when i marry laura i’ll be around you all the time” and david doesn’t even like KNOW where this conviction n certainty came from but he’s like “no. you’re not marrying laura, you’re marrying me.” and matteo like WANTS TO BELIEVE that david can make that happen but he’s afraid and he’s spent all his life doing things he doesn’t want to do bc he has to and he can’t believe something good could actually happen for him. anyway david gets to do his big confident hero thing when he tells all their advisors “super excited for the wedding in a month, btw, i’m marrying prince matteo, not laura, thanks!” they freak! everyone freaks! but david doesn’t back down and ofc laura is like “whatever” and the biggest fear is that it’ll seem like an insult to matteo if he marries the younger brother and not the ruling queen as was originally planned but matteo is like *cough* “no it’s fine” and eventually all the stuffy adult advisors that always exist in these kind of fairytale/fantasy worlds have to throw up their hands and let the kids do what they want. and laura gets a wife and david gets his man and matteo has some of the pressure of the public eye off his shoulders now that he’s not marrying The Queen and he just hangs out around the palace with david all the time. GOOD FOR THEM. UGH i love this concept thank u for bringing into my life.

The 100 6x02: Red Sun Rising

This is my second time watching this episode - I first saw it a month ago, together with 6x01, when they leaked, and I’m glad I saw the two of them together, because I had mixed feelings on 6x01, but 6x02 was amazing.

This is what I wanted from season 6, and what I hope to see more of: character-focused episodes with characters forced to deal with their issues and repressed feelings, likely due to weird goings-on on the planet - like Day Trip on overdrive. The episode also had very interesting flashbacks to the history of the people on the planet, descendants of the Eligius III mission, and hints about many of the mysteries of the planet.

The toxin was a great way to shake up the characters and their relationships and for repressed issues to come to light. My theory on why Murphy was the only one who turned out to be unaffected is that the toxin brings our repressed issues and resentments, but Murphy indulges in negativity and bitterness towards both himself and others when he's in the normal state of mind, so he was fine. Instead, he showed the nicer, more heroic side of him. Which, one may argue, is what he is repressing.

Speaking of which, I’m still not sure what exactly to think about Murphy’s complaints against Clarke. Some people have argued that all of them make sense in a way - from Murphy’s point of view, anyway. But the things he mentioned range from perfectly legitimate complaints to things I can’t make sense of. And most of them are incredibly skewed and one-sided views of events - similar to what happens when haters in the fandom try to mount arguments to prove a character is horrible. Like blaming Clarke for Bellamy hanging him, because she kind of caused it by blaming Murphy for Wells’ death (as if it’s hard to understand why she lost it over her best friend’s death, after Murphy had threatened Wells), even though she didn’t expect people to actually try to kill him, and did her best to stop it; or blaming her for tying up him and Emori and planning to test her in the radiation chamber (which was actually done by a bunch of people including Abby, Miller, Jackson, now-dead Roan, and Raven didn’t exactly do anything to stop it except verbally protest), even though she instead decided to test herself and risk her life (and was the only one who volunteered for it - while Emori got another guy tested and killed). And I can’t even make sense of the remark about him being tied up while she was with Lexa, and why he called himself “disposable in her games”. WTF? How is Titus kidnapping and torturing him Clarke’s fault? It’s been argued that he blames her for leaving him with Ontari after she left with the Flame to look for Luna, but that’s not what he said. And I’m really done with people using the nickname “Commander of Death” as an insult. Clarke got it because she did everything to save the Delinquents, Raven, Abby, Kane and others, while Murphy was off on a pointless road trip with Jaha. Also, irradiating Mount Weather was the right decision, because the only alternative was letting the Mountain Men win and kill everyone, and finally, Bellamy and Monty also made the same decision and bear the same responsibility for killing all of the Mountain Men.

So, I’m not sure if Murphy really meant all he said, or was just being a d1ck as usual, venting his frustrations and trying to get a rise out of people. But the moment he saw Clarke trying to kill herself, he did everything to stop her, and later they were saving each other when Bellamy went psycho and attacked them both.

I loved the callback to 3x05 Hakeldama. (”People die when I’m in charge.... Isn’t that what you said?”) Clarke remembers Bellamy's words, even after 6+ years. She was obviously quite hurt and thought about it a lot, even though they've never discussed it since.

Clarke's hallucination reminded me a lot of what ALIE!Raven told her in 3x11 - the same idea of her being poison to others and causing the deaths of people close to her. (Although this time Wells and Finn were not explicitly mentioned - only Jake Griffin and Lexa were - among people close to her that died, but they were arguably indirectly mentioned as Clarke’s hallucination said that people die trying to protect you. The idea that Jake’s actions were motivated by wanting his daughter to think of him as a good guy is something we haven’t heard before. It may be a sign that Clarke does not completely idealize him as she seemed to do. I’ve said in my season 4 rewatch reviews that season 4 (and 3b) mentions of Lexa seemed pretty idealized, but those since have made more sense: in season 5, the mention of Lexa’s betrayal at Mount Weather and long-delayed apology, and now, “Lexa died for the same reason” (wanting Clarke to see her as a good guy) is accurate to what their relationship was like in season 3, which indicates that Clarke is .)  On some level, Clarke really has internalized the idea that she needs to save the others from herself, as these are now the things her own subconsciousness is telling her, which she heard as the voice of her mother, telling her to kill herself so she wouldn’t get Madi killed..

It would be interesting to know what exactly Bellamy's hallucination was. He attacked Murphy and Clarke, but he was talking weird/confused stuff about trying to save people. Bellamy's guiding motivation has always been trying to save people, and feeling bad for failing to do it. But I'm sure he also has repressed resentment towards Clarke, even though he forgave her for leaving him last season - he may not have fully forgiven her in his heart. And I'm sure he also has unresolved feelings from the time he blamed himself for leaving her behind and he believed she was dead. He said something weird about how he won't be the one to die this time - but he wasn't. No doubt he's also been annoyed with Murphy quite often, even though they are friends (as of season 5) and we saw Bellamy try to help Murphy to be more positive and love himself in 5x01, but he probably sometimes just felt fed up with Murphy's disruptive and negative behavior. His hallucination seems to have made Murphy a real threat to the group in Bellamy's mind. "I'm saving us, from both of you".

Bellamy also yelled at Clarke, just as he was stepping from the doors of the room where Echo was locked up with Emori, “In case you didn’t notice, Clarke, I don’t need you anymore” - words likely to hurt her as this is something she feared and at one point came to believe during season 5. But it also felt a lot like what we like to call “protesting too much”. Interesting thing to note, Bellamy never told Clarke that he needed her, at any point during the 5+ seasons - it was always Clarke telling him she needed him, or that they needed each other, which he did not deny.

Echo's hallucination and Emori's taunting were both about the fact that Echo is always the follower who does everything for whatever 'master' she attaches herself to. Finally a meaningful character moment for her. The voices she heard were talking about things we'll probably see more of in her flashbacks. She may have an identity crisis and will probably have to try to figure out who she is on her own.

Side note: There is speculation that Echo may have been the one who killed Costia, Lexa's girlfriend, who, as we know, was tortured and killed at Nia's orders and then her head was left in Lexa's bed. This may be the case because the line "Bring me her head" was stressed and repeated twice. At this point, this wouldn't have any bearing on the plot, but it would be a little reveal for the audience to connect some things from the past.)

Emori's hallucination was all about people trying to kill her, which makes sense with her backstory. First she attacked Murphy because she thought he was going to kill her, then she warned Echo and Clarke that Bellamy would kill them all. But she also cruelly taunted Echo, just like Bellamy taunted Murphy and Clarke.

Miller is another person besides Clarke who was turning the violence on himself. During his psychosis, he was yelling that he didn't want to finish like Obika - the man who died last season after being infected by the mutated worms (eww). He was trying to get the bugs/worms out of his skin - which is also connected to his guilt over the things he did and participated in as Blodreina's follower. Jackson also believed Miller had bugs under his skin and was stabbing him to try to get them out. He and Miller were sharing the same hallucination (what is known as folie a deux, shared psychosis, or literally, madness shared by two). As they pointed out in their conversation in 6x01, Miller was the one who did things, while Jackson felt guilty for not stopping things - and not he was trying to intervene save his boyfriend, in his capacity as a doctor.

Clarke and Bellamy are likely to have some interesting conversations next episode, after they woke up, and Bellamy was obviously shocked by realizing what he did to her and to Murphy, and that she had to stab him to stop him.

BTW, now we know what the writers came up with to explain Bob Morley’s leg injury.

Octavia is in a really bad emotional place. She clearly feels guilty,,but won't admit it, and instead lashes out, blames and antagonizes the others, provoking them to punish her - even kill her. In the season 5 finale, she wanted a redemptive heroic death, but didn't get it. Living with her guilt, admitting her mistakes, changing, that's much harder. She would rather die.

Also, Octavia on her knees, asking for death, was reminiscent of Bellamy in Day Trip during his hallucination. Is Octavia finally going to have the character development he had seasons ago? But first, she needs to realize that sins don't get "washed away" if you're successful in your intention to get your people to their destination, which seemed to have been her guiding idea during season 5 and the reason why she was so obsessed with being the one to take them to Eden.

Diyoza was amazing as always. I usually don't like to use the word "badass", but what else do I call her? She's direct, no-nonsense, a great military strategist, snarky... what's not to love?

Madi had quite a badass entrance, too. We’ll see how she’ll deal with her ambiguous role of being officially a Commander, while the adults are actually making leadership decisions and leaving her behind to be protected as a child, but Gaia found a nice way to make it look different when she agreed with Abby’s decision to leave her in the ship for protection with “You’re too important, Heda”.

Abby showed her ruthless side when she blackmailed Diyoza with the option of not helping with the birth of her child, and when just sat there while Octavia was getting beaten up, and only finally intervened when she was about to get killed, and Jordan and Niylah were yelling at her to stop it... and even that may have been because she had it pointed out that this was what Octavia wanted. She probably has a lot of rage from Kane's clinical death/almost-death that Octavia kind of caused.

The surviving hijacker said that the trees eat the bugs.(They have eaten them all by now) Interesting planet.

The hijackers are all Nightbloods, as you would expect from descendants of the Eligius mission. So who is the radiation fence supposed to keep out? If the people in the woods are red-bloods, how did that happen?

The hijackers were really concerned with the dead bodies, and in a way that seems to go way beyond normal reverence for human remains. Diyoza told the survivor "Newsflash, they're dead", but I think these people have a way of recreating dead people by cloning or something similar - however, they would also need a way to recreate the consciousness, because otherwise, clones are just identical twins, not the same people.

A lot of the evidence for this comes from the flashback, which was really interesting and full of reveals:

The Eligius mission was on the planet 236 years ago, which means they came to the planet before the first nuclear apocalypse, which happened 229 years ago (97 years + about 6 months that passed from 1x01 to 4x13 + 6 years + 125 years).

Josephine Ada Lightbourne (they made sure that we know that’s her name) and her astronaut father (played by Sean Maguire) are strikingly similar to Clarke and her father, and not just physically. She even draws like Clarke. I still think that Lightbournes may be related to the Griffins, If they are not, then this was deliberately done to draw the parallels.

Josephine Ada Lightbourne is also the name of the author of the Red Sun Rising book - even though the book could have only been written after the first psychosis incident that we see in the flashback, and it seemed that Josie got killed by her father during his psychosis, alongside her mother a bunch of other people.

Speculation based on info from the trailers, promo and details about the next episode:

Josephine was a taxonomist, and her boyfriend, Dr Gabriel Santiago, was a geneticist, and the next episode is called "Children of Gabriel"... Gabriel also mentioned that they have embryos for reproduction, which means they brought fully formed embryos to the planet, or created them there. But if they have been trying to replicate dead humans for two centuries (since Sean Maguire's character killed so many of the members of the mission), they have to have some sort of a method of transferring consciousness, too, because otherwise, clones are just like identical twins, not the same people. Russell (JR Bourne), the leader of the people from the Sanctum, is obviously the descendant of Maguire’s character, both because of his looks and because the trailer revealed his last name Lightbourne.

My impression, based on the info from trailers etc., is that Russell's people are elitist, self-righteous a-holes who decide that only some are 'worthy' to live in their "Paradise". But it's interesting that "Lightbourne" means something very similar to "Lucifer" (or vice versa - the latter is "light bearer"). This doesn't exactly scream trustworthy good guys, and neither does the attitude we see from the trailer, or the fact that they dress like people from the Capitol and live in something that looks like a castle from a Renaissance Fair. And if they really do have a way of re-creating dead humans, would put a whole new meaning to the whole Sanctum thing and the divide between those within and those outside (the people in the woods?) that Russell's people have exiled/are not letting in as unworthy! Stakes are really high if they are basically deciding who the chosen ones are with the right to "live forever".

In case he didn't change his mind off-screen and talked to him in the short time between Jace allegedly returning from the City of Bones and them discovering his possession (time that was spend with Maryse at the Hunter's Moon btw) then Jace can't know it from Alec. So, where did this knowledge magically appear from? @kaysgreenery suggested that Lilith did some research on Magnus's dating history and taught Jace all the details but why the hell would she do that. I'd like to think that this Possessed!Jace has the ability to somehow warp into the thoughts and minds of the people around him and snatch information on how to hurt them the best, but.... I don't think that's the case or that it will even be addressed how he learned that.

Again, arguing with possessed people. I still don't get it. Then again, from Simon I don't really expect more. (Sorry, Simon.)

This confirms like every head canon I have on how incredibly badass Izzy is and always was, so thank you. I always had the feeling that she's probably a better fighter than Jace but didn't show it because she knew he needs the limelight and she doesn't. Also, they have super limited time and the first thing they do is watching sweet childhood memories. Priorities.

Or was she never on earth before and banished, in which case, how does she know that's the only thing that can banish her? How do her visits to the Seelie Realm work? I thought you need to be summoned to leave your home dimension as a demon so if she was in the Seelie Realm before could she have easily walked over into the Real World as well? Was the Seelie Queen alive when Lilith last visited the Seelie Realm (which would have been at least during the time of her predecessor) or do they have pictures of her somewhere so that's why she knows what Lilith looks like? Also, that line with the complexion

One, I don't get why Clary told her the truth about the wish when she didn't have to, like, wasn't it her main goal to keep that truth from ever coming out?? Why would she just spill? Then again I also don't understand why those guards tried to restrain her immediately after she let go of the sword, like, did they want to put her back in her cell right away? And why does she need to be unrestrained to talk? Why not just put the sword back on its fancy stand and make her touch it again to tell the rest of the story? So many questions.

Two, the wish from the angel wasn't a one-time-voucher to kill everything with demon blood. Clearly, because Clary used it to bring back Jace. It was simply a wish that could be shaped by the person making the wish. So just because that wish was powerful enough that it could be used for mass murder doesn't mean the wish itself is inherently evil?! What the hell, Clary. It's like she's trying to argue why using the wish was like a public service to Shadowhunter Society?! Who's going to believe that?? At least she didn't say something pathetic like “To you, an insurmountable evil is a world overrun by demons, to me it's a world without Jace in it” because, honestly, I was half expecting her to, lol.

Sidenote: Until the end of Season 2 the Shadowhunters hadn't even figured out that the Mortal Mirror was in fact Lake Lyn, so without Clary figuring out what the Mortal Mirror was, still having that wish wouldn't have done them any good. Of course the middle of the apocalypse is always the best time to try and start figuring out where the long-lost third Mortal Instrument is, so I totally see your point, Jia.

I can't really make sense of that Maia Kyle Whatever Scene so I'll just leave it uncommented.

Edit: Since I was delayed in posting this for several days (because my lappy decided it would be a great time to die on me) I've had some time to think about it. I didn't like the scene when I first saw it, but I couldn't really put my finger on why. Now I know it's because of the way Maia acts, I feel like this is ooc for her. Maia is unapologetic, she takes no shit from anyone. Remember how she told Kyle off in that flashback when he wanted to decide if she got to go to college or not, or how she put Russell in his place when he thought he could comment on her relationship with Simon, or even how she pre-emptively refused to apologize for hooking up with Jace when she thought Simon expected an apology? The case I'm trying to build here is that Maia is very aware of what she wants, what she will accept in regards to behavior of another person towards her, and where she draws the line, where she will put her foot down and not accept something. So seeing her basically begging Kyle to not act like he's in any way likable so she can cling to her resentment for him is strange for two reasons:

1) It makes it seem as if she's not in control of her emotions, as if her resentment is something she needs to actively fuel to maintain it. This is the stellar opposite of how she acted towards him in the last episode, where she was confidently hostile.

2) It makes it seem as if what Kyle did isn't something where it's entirely reasonable and justifiable to be angry and hurt and unforgiving about even after a long time has passed. When someone betrays and abandons you like that (like Maia undoubtedly experienced his actions) you don't really need to exert yourself to not-forgive that person. That's natural, isn't it? Of course one could argue that it's not as black-and-white here because she was in love with him and it's not like he was some stranger betraying her.... but to be honest, the way she acted towards him up until this very scene, including the flashbacks, didn't really make it seem as if their past loving relationship was influencing Maia. So I really don't get why it's suddenly the case.

I mean, I do. If Sizzy is endgame (yikes), then Simon and Maia will have to split up at some point and Maia and Kyle will probably be a thing somewhere along the way. But I feel like this current behavior isn't really ic for Maia and that's why it annoys me, even though I have nothing against the pairing Maia/Kyle per se.

Where they seriously trying to make it seem as if Izzy would kill Jace lol I didn't believe that for a second. I was also totally distracted by the fact that she licked her lips and her lip stick stayed on fleek like how do you do that Izzy let me in on your secret powers please.

Leaving all that aside this scene was perfectly acted and very intense..... but. I don't know if that makes me really insensitive or something, but they were under immense time pressure. If all it took to get them back was grabbing hold of each other's hands I really don't get why Alec and Izzy didn't do just that. There would have been enough time to placate Jace when they were back in their own bodies without the very real threat of getting lost in Jace's mind forever hanging over their heads. Of course it would have been a shock for Jace to be ripped out of his environment and be thrown back into his body, but honestly, he must be so heavily traumatized by all that Lilith did to him that this little thing wouldn't even register in comparison. So yeah, call me heartless, but it would have been more efficient to grab Jace and talk him down once they were safe.

I'm asking again. How did the Seelie Queen know where Jace was? And, seriously, why didn't Lilith think to check Magnus's appartment, I mean she must know Alec is Jace's parabatai and that Magnus is Alec's boyfriend and a powerful warlock. When Jace didn't come back to her it would have been reasonable to assume that the other Shadowhunters had gotten to him and would try to save him, seeking out capable help.

Soooooo Magnus is officially Asmodeus's favorite. Dubious honor.

I don't know if it's the camera angle or that cute eyebrow crunch, but to me Magnus looks so much like a cat while Lilith is choking him, so I was inappropriately cooing during this scene. Shame on me.

I get that Alec feels super guilty but honestly, think about it. If he'd killed Jace he wouldn't have killed his body. He would have killed his consciousness, his soul maybe. Meaning the possession would have been given free reign over his body. Killing Jace while they where inside his mind would have killed the last part that was fighting against the possession. It would have made everything way worse.

Okay, but even with the heartbreak of the Sanvers breakup that episode was still amazing!! Not surprising the Lena-centric episode is a winner, but honestly I’m blown away.

And next week looks great too, though I’m just gonna be thinking the whole time “Where’s that lil girl from a Series of Unfortunate Events?”

Dear Ride or Die fandom:

Friends, I would like to share a lot of thing with you about ep 3x05 but my mind is a mess right now, like many of you, I guess.

I’m so sad, I’m grateful, I'm hopeful... I don’t know, I’m just so confused.

The only thing I’m clear abut is, that this is not the end of the world. Yes, it f*cking sucks and hurts like hell, but life has to go on. Don’t be ashamed for being mourning a fictional couple, many can find this ridiculous, but for us, sanvers is more than that, and this fandom gets the importance of Alex and Maggie’s relationship, for us your feelings are valid and is fine to cry and feel sad for it.

Sanvers may be over for now, but what I've learned all these years being in this world is that life has ups and downs, you can resist more than you think you can, and there are people, situations, or experiences that go through your life to give a lesson and make you stronger and resilient, and sanvers is one of those.

I hate that my poor English doesn't let me express all I wanna say to you (Spanish is my first language btw), but if you need to talk with someone about your feelings, please don’t hesitate to do it, I’m here for you (I understand lot more than I can write), and I’m sure that many other fellows out there are in the disposition to heard you too. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! 💛💚💙💜💗🖤

Hey, are there any triggers in the series "SKAM" that you know of? Specifically Eating Disorders / ED Jokes / weight loss or diet mentions / self harm (scars)? Thank you for this great blog, it's saving my recovery and my life.

Followers??  Can anyone help out?  (BTW, for clarity, this show’s title is also sometimes translated into English as “Shame”)

Hi, not sure if anyone has sent this in, but i would say skam does have triggers for eating disorders/weight lost. In season 2, 1 character is shown be exercising a lot and not eating, and another character is revealed to have a an ED in the past. It's been awhile since i've watched that season so i cant think of the episode numbers, sorry!

I’ve never seen the show, but upon receiving this ask I went ahead and read the (very brief) summaries for all the episodes on IMDB, and you’ll find the triggers I spotted below the Read More (including a mention of depression in 3x10, though it didn’t specify whether or not self-harm was involved).  Please note that this is NOT comprehensive though, since I haven’t seen it, I just read the little blurbs, and it’s completely possible they left something out.  (Followers familiar with the show please feel free to write in!)  That said, the full list of triggers I DID pick up on, I outlined under the Read More.

About that ending - 6x12 meta

Needless to say the sensation of deja vu that I had last night when an episode we were so looking forward to ended up with a bitter sad taste (remember 3x17? Remember 4x04?)

But while it was shocking and sad, and also frustrating and made us really angry to see once more A&E increasing the levelness of Hook’s viciousness in the past in an unnecessary way, I also see something good coming out of it.

When the season started and we learned in episode 6x02 that David father’s death was different than what he thought, a strong theory was that indeed Hook killed him. And back then although it was an upsetting theory (which sadly ended up being true), it did make sense to me that they would do something like that, but not only to “spice things up” “plotly” speaking, but also because this could be an important step for Hook’s redemption arc and the evolution of CS as true love.

Let me explain what I mean here. 

Well, the way I see it, it is much much much easier to forgive someone for things he did to others. Emma knows what Hook was, she said she will always choose to see the best in him. And while it is one thing to say it about things he did to Ursula, or things he did while being controlled by the DO’s darkness, it’s an entire different story to follow these words when it comes to hurting first hand someone who she loves very deeply.

Hook eventually was the reason David grew up without a father. True, if he wasn’t there he would have died anyway, but he had a chance to save his life back there, to bring little David back his father. And he didn’t because darkness was eating him from the inside at that moment. It was actually the first crime we saw Hook makes that wasn’t out of passion but pure cruelness...

But as always with these things, the past is coming to slap him in the face 50 years later. Hook is learning again and again that no matter what he does, how he redeems himself, his past actions will always have consequences. And now it’s a big test for him. On one hand, no one knows! He can take it with him to the grave! David found peace, he gave him his blessing to marry Emma, things are better than ever with David, and stably perfect with Emma. But as we saw in the promo, Hook can’t just hold something like that back. He is a completely changed person and he has never since the beginning of his redemption disowned his own past actions and he always took responsibility over them. And as many times before, he came back to the place where he feels unworthy of her.  

That horrible familiar place for him that he finally was able to overcome, sneaking up on him again. 

This point where Hook is at now, is maybe the most challenging part of his on going redemption arc. Because unlike all the other times that he owned his past actions, this time doing the right thing might get him to lose the person he loves most, rather than to get her closer to him. I think the only time Hook was in that same place, where telling the truth may lead to Emma pulling back from him was in 3x05/3x06 when he decided to let the gang know that Neal was alive. He just kissed Emma and had the possibility of starting something with her when he learned her “big love” was still alive. Back then he chose to tell the truth at the cost of losing the opportunity to be her new love maybe, and it ended up causing the exact opposite because she admired his actions back then, and eventually the love she felt for Neal wasn’t as strong as he thought and she ended up repeatedly choosing him instead.

Now it’s even harder, because while back then Emma was a “potential love” here she’s already his completely, in a sacrifice my own heart for you kind of way. He can lose it all if he would choose to do the right thing here, or live with the guilt and the familiar sensation of being unworthy of her for the rest of his life. This is maybe the most significant point in his redemption arc than, and by the things we saw in the promo, seems like once more, our beloved pirate will indeed choose to do the right thing, which is another big incredible step in his redemption because it’s one thing to do the right thing when you know people will admire you for it, and a complete different thing to do it, while you know it may cause people to never look at you the same again, or even leave you.

As for Emma, I think this is also a big test for her love for him. Again, it is one thing to forgive over things he did to others than things he did to someone she loves. But as always, I’m sure she would once more surprise him here. It may not happen during one conversation, like when he tells her what’s wrong and she end up forgiving him during it, she may need to take some time, maybe having her own session with Archie about it (which btw, it’s amazing and good that he went to him with it!), but she will forgive eventually. Charming will forgive him eventually, too! But this would be the biggest test of accepting Hook as a changed man.

One thing for sure, I don’t doubt that this horrible thing will end up making their relationship even stronger.
