I feel like i’ve been seeing a lot of discourse about the treatment of butches/studs by femmes and vice versa and I really really want to send out a reminder that not everyone is like this while both sides have completely valid points, femmes should NOT be treating their butch or stud like a man or like they can’t express any femininity or emotions. And no one should reduce aspects of a femmes identity as cosplaying lesbianism or faking, At the same this has created a tier system in certain groups where either butches are the best and most important and femmes are bad and for some it’s the opposite, to me tho, the realities of our identities goes to together, hand and hand, equal and dependent/part of each other. Before starting discourse please remember that we wouldn’t have even been able to have discourse like this if it hadn’t been for the wonderful butches and studs and femmes before us and i don’t think they would want that of us. We don’t have to be romantically connected, butch(stud) x femme relationships are important to our communities despite the kind of relationships, i want us to love and lift each other up and keep each other accountable without targeting an identity and making that the problem, i want to see us love each other again
