It's been 5 hours since your ask question, but if you'd like to share I'd like to hear your top 5 closest-held headcanons for TGAMM? Can be random or angsty or plot related or none, the sky's the limit! 😊 I hope the movie was good, I haven't seen it yet!
(the movie was good but I feel like if I actually cared about DND I would have enjoyed it more lol still worth a watch)
OK this is such a good ask because ooo boy I got a few headcanons
In no particular order:
1: Autistic Scratch/ADHD Molly
This one's pretty silly but it means a lot to me for some reason. When Scratch gets easily overwhelmed, has a breakdown over something small, and covers his ears/flinches at even the idea of a loud noise, I feel so seen. And Molly's hyperfocus to the point of insomnia and her tendency to sorta steamroll conversations when she's excited is a lot like some ADHD friends I know (you can see me drawing them with happy stims a LOT to make up for how frequently I draw them sad)
2: Molly has a pocket on the inside of her jacket Scratch likes to chill in
This one is self explanatory. It started as a joke but now it won't let go of my brain
(yes this is an adventure time reference)
3: Scratch died anonymously/doesn't have a grave, therefore he doesn't remember his past
His lack of memories has always been so fascinating to me and after listening to Ride the Cyclone and the horrific concept of dying without memories because no one knows who you are? YEAH I'm a little attached to this one—
Can't decide if this one leans too hard into the "theory" category rather than just a headcanon tho
4: The McGees went to the courthouse and got an official adoption paper for Scratch
This. This is just canon. I refuse to believe it isn't. Also any fics that refer to Scratch as Molly and Darryl's brother make me so soft. The siblings ever
5: Molly's box of sadness contains little reminders and memories of past friendships she's left behind
Technically not my headcanon but WOOOOW I'd break so badly if it was true. As someone who's incredibly sentimental about the past people in my life I no longer speak to, I would simply shatter. There's a reason why the "DO NOT OPEN" label is there and I have a feeling it's not just for sad cat posters.
I also have one or two that got disproven by season 2 and some visual/stylistic headcanons for how I draw the characters but it didn't feel worth pointing out lol mostly just named the big ones. I don't really have a ton of headcanons because this show does a pretty good job of giving little character details (looking at you, Scratch's gorgeous handwriting and Molly's hatred of maple syrup)
Thanks for the awesome question tho!

Commissioned the amazing @magua-vida to draw my original Princesses, The Dancer & The Dream! I'm absolutely delighted with how they came out, they both look so pretty and bursting with personality!
For anyone who doesn't want to click through, you get the Dancer if you unlock the Princess's cuff & die of a heart attack, making her flighty but concerned, fussing over your health & safety. The Dream is Dancer's unique Chapter 3, who you get if you fall asleep in the cabin with Dancer fussing over you, and is smotheringly protective to the point of aggression & possessiveness while acting manipulatively sweet & fragile.
She just wants to take care of you... even (or especially) if it means chaining you up to keep you safe.

One of my favorite things that happened during my last mage Hawke playthrough was during the final battle against Meredith. Everything's going well. We're kicking her ass, she's got just this much health left, we're so close... but then everyone gets stunned dizzy.
Hawke is stumbling around all confused, seeing stars. The rest of his companions are stunned. I'm annoyed because I just want to end this fight. Don't know how or who did it, probably Meredith, but the situation's dire.
Meredith's standing by herself at the center of the Gallows, shouting nonsense and smugly believing the Maker's going to come down and make her his new bride after she murdered a bunch of innocent people.
Truly, this is the part of the story where Varric says they all thought hope was lost, that in the end, Meredith would pull a fast one on us and claim victory...
Until the REAL hero of dragon age 2 comes storming at her. I don't know why Carver was the only one to not be affected, but he literally jumped out of no where and just started bashing Meredith with his sword while everyone else was too dizzy to do anything until she was dead and the cutscene played.
"Hawke defeated Meredith-" LIES, VARRIC. I know the truth! I was there! Hawke didn't do shit! Carver Hawke was the main character all along! He got shit done and Varric gave Hawke all the credit!
I bring this up because last night I finished my warrior Hawke run and when we got to the fight with Meredith, I kind of hoped the same thing would happen where Bethany dashed in all heroic and got the killing blow on Meredith.
She did not.
She got squished by a statue.
But it's fine, Bethany Hawke was the true main character in my heart.

Fox hates Anakin. Has since the first time Anakin left Palatine's office and smiled. Stupid Jedi. He spent hours with Palpatine whenever he was on Coruscant. How could he not see the way that the Chancellor looked at him? And yet Anakin kept coming back, over and over to the man that Fox would do anything to get away from. And then Anakin interfered with Tano's capture and landed Fox in deep trouble. And Palpatine made sure it wouldn't happen again, made sure that Fox followed orders with Fives. And...well, if Anakin was half as powerful as everyone said, he would've been able to stop Fox. His vod'e are right to blame him, it was his fault. Anakin is not. He could've stopped him. Fox knows, Palpatine can make him do whatever he wants. Anakin could too. Anakin could've stopped him and Fives would've told the Jedi about the chips and Palpatine and...and the Guard might've been safe.
Anakin's known that Fox doesn't like him. That was fine, Anakin didn't particularly like Fox either. Fox was cold and was never willing to bend a rule for anyone. But it wasn't until the whole ordeal with Ahsoka's trial that he started hating Fox. Ahsoka was innocent, and Fox wanted his men to shoot to kill! Who cares about protocol, she was Anakin's Padawan! And then Fox killed Fives. Just...just shot him when Fives was obviously sick. Fox wouldn't even break orders to save the life of another clone. Anakin can't help the disgust that the thought brings to him. Who prioritizes rules over someone's life?
