The idea of Zuko discovering that he has feelings for Katara after he joins the Gaang is just so delicious to me. Like the idea of this boy wrestling with a crush that (he thinks) will never be returned because she’s clearly determined to hate him forever - that’s like candy to me.

Even after they’ve resolved the conflict between them, my favorite headcanon is that Zuko is completely convinced Katara would never be interested in him as more than a friend, and frankly, he feels honored that she would even offer him that much.

Meanwhile, Katara is like actively having an inner meltdown over the fact that there’s a WAR going on, and she can’t stop fantasizing about kissing this boy who was her enemy until 5 seconds ago.

There's always the argument of "who truly loved their men" when it comes to Franklin or Crozier but the answer is it doesn't matter. Whether Franklin's leading them or Crozier it doesn't matter. They're captains in the British royal navy. Their love for the men is completely conditional. Franklin has David Young transfer ships because Franklin cares more about his own surgeon's opinion. Crozier orders Little to go out in the cold because Crozier cares more about having access to alcohol.

We see David Young, a ship's boy, die an agonizing death. We also see Crozier take Thomas Evans, a cabin's boy, with him to check the ice, even though he could have told him no, and puts him in a situation that gets him brutally killed.

Lieutenant Gore's death is completely overshadowed by Franklin's (and it's Crozier that crosses his name out for Franklin's - overshadowed even on paper). Hornby's death is given the slightest consideration before he is promptly forgotten (as well as the circumstances of his death).

Franklin dismisses Crozier, and Blanky and MacDonald further, when it comes to both the situation of the ice and to MacDonald's medical opinion. Crozier dismisses Little's objection when deciding the lashing punishments, and orders Mr. Johnson to continue even when Mr. Johnson stops during Hickey's lashing and looks to Crozier to end it.

Franklin has the marines set up a trap on the ice for the bear. This is done out of love and grief for Lieutenant Gore. It is also a waste of the marine's physical abilities and needlessly endangers them. Crozier has the men load up the sledges with useless, heavy items over one of the most physically taxing parts of their walk. This is done out of love and care for the men - not wanting them to part with more than they already have. It is also an extreme waste of everyone's physical strength and, again, needlessly endangers them.

Both Franklin and Crozier are shown to care for the crew, and most of their choices come from a place of genuine thought for them. But they're also both very proud and very stubborn characters that end up just repeating the cycle. The end result was always going to be the same for the crew.

oh no not me thinking of a swap NPMD au where Max lives while Ruth and Richie die for unknown reasons and now both of them are out for vengeance against all the popular kids but most specifically Max because of course. And instead of "Nerdy Prudes Must Die" it's "Stupid Jocks Must Die" or something like that idk what the title would be

But the ones that would die would probably be Jason and Kyle. Or maybe those cheerleaders that Stephanie is friends with.

hating on game of thrones in current year is a bit cringe like girl move on etc. However my complaints are more specific than the average person so I can at least feel like I'm bringing something new to the table. Instead of writing the one bilionth 'they butchered dany we were robbed' post I'm instead going on coke rants about how they character assasinated jaime by making him unfunny and how they didn't give my favorite irrelevant minor characters enough emotional depth and actually now that I'm saying it out loud that sounds worse

Because everyone is sleeping on him. Witness his greatness!! First two Kaka colored icons were colored by me, lineart by Ryoko Kui though!

Kaka & Kiki are kinda like Laios & Falin… Kaka being stoic and giving repressed energy like early Laios, Kiki being cryptic and always smiling and kinda soft-looking. Autism siblings 2, ostracized and othered as kids and have a deep bond due to sticking together through it all, though unlike with Laios their parents are very loving so Kaka developed family as a big value more than Laios (bc asides for Falin Laios doesn’t care much about it).

In the gnome festival comic you can see Kaka is more emotive than he seems! Full with a :3 face, and he’s the one crying at the end. He’s insecure about his legs and being tall… It really got to him. Conceal don’t feel. In the gnome festival comic you also see him sensing others’ gaze on him and that something is off unlike Kiki, again Laios-like in the way that judgement from others gets to him more than her.

something I think people often forget about Shrub Berry is that she is not defenseless. I cannot count the number of fanfics I’ve read where she’s a scared, traumatized, terrified gnome who’s seperated from her people and is almost entirely helpless. This is a crucial part of her character, but she’s also so, so brave. Take episode 17 of Empires (Xornoth showed me the future of our empires!) Shrub is continuing her daily life in the midst of this incredibly traumatic experience. She is farming, watering her flowers, and mining, even as the threat of Corruption grows ever-closer. When Xornoth appears, she starts to run away, before realizing that’s exactly what they want. She starts fighting back, insulting Xornoth, and telling him to stop Corrupting the empires, arguing for him to let Joey She keeps them talking, even now, trying to probe for weaknesses. She defends herself and her wolves, in the midst of tragedy and death. She keeps going. It takes so much courage to keep going after your life has been ripped to pieces, it would be so much easier to just let the Corruption win. To lie down and let Xornoth kill her, have her body overrun with Corruption, to join the rest of her people, but Shrub. Keeps. Going. she fights back in any way she can, and she tries to bite back against the darkness, a cornered wolf, the last of her species, and the bravest little beacon of hope in my life when I was fighting my own demons and reminding me that bad doesn’t always have to win, bullies don’t always triumph, people can fight back and make a difference. Shubble literally kept me going when I wanted to just…give up fighting because of how bullied I was in school about three years ago. I know it’s a silly Minecraft smp, I know it was never meant to be so deep, but Shrub Berry literally saved my life. Thank you.
