Summary: you have a cough that wont go away.

TW: chest infection, fever, almost fainting, infirmary, medical check up

A/n I might post two fics today because their both a bit short.

“You’ve kept that cough through two colds and it sounds like you’re on your third.” Wanda frowned as you hunched over on the couch coughs wracking your form.

“Forth” you croaked when you had finally stopped.

“What?” Wanda asked unsure she had heard you correctly

“Forth cold.” You clarified

“right. we’re going to Bruce” wanda said pulling you into a sitting position.

“Nooo i was comfy.” You whined.

“Babe this isn’t normal. You need to see a doctor.” Wanda reasoned pulling you to your feet. When you were upright your vision swam and you stumbled forward, luckily wanda wrapped her arms around you to stop you from falling flat on your face.

“Woah there tiger, nice and easy.” She said. “Wrap your legs around my waist love and I’ll carry you.” So you did. Like a toddler your head rested by her neck and your arms around her neck with your flying flush to her torso. She held you up under your thighs, but you were too tired to care.

“Baby girl, you feel a bit warm sweets. Have you taken your temperature lately?” She cooed. You buried your face in her neck and mumbled softly

“‘M not a baby.” You whined

“Ok love.” She chuckled realising you were a bit too far gone to response in your hazy fevered state. “I’ll get Bruce to check when we see him.” She cooed. And you whined at the mention of going to the sick bay.

“Baby trust me it’ll make you feel better.” She soothed.

“Don’t wanna.” You whined hearing Jarvis announce you were here.

Wanda carefully set you down on the bed, having to sit down herself as you clung to her and refused to let go.

“What can i do for you two girls today?” Bruce asked wiping his hands on his lab coat.

“Y/n/n’s had a cough for about three colds-“

“Four”

“Four colds and i think she has a fever, i was just hoping you could check her out to make sure its nothing serious.” Wanda said patting your back as you began to squirm.

“Ok. Y/n/n can you look at me for a sec.” Bruce asked, running the tip of the thermometer over your forehead.

“Hmm 100.7 not dangerous but still a fever id like to keep an eye on.” Bruce said more to himself than anyone else.

“Has she had any meds?” He asked grabbing a stethoscope.

“Not yet i don’t think.”

“Give her a Tylenol and see how her fever reacts” he said slipping the metal tip under your shirt and unto your back. You squirmed at the cool metal and wanda held you tighter shushing you softly.

“Hmm her breathing sounds a bit crackly. I think she has a chest infection, ill need to do more tests.” He said. “Jarvis scan Y/n’s chest and send the report to my lab computer.” He said walking over to his desk.

“Scan complete.” Jarvis said.

“It seems i was right, Ms L/n has a nasty chest infection.” He said as you began coughing again.

“I’ll give her some antibiotics and when she finishes the course bring her back for another check up to see if its cleared.” He said pressing a box of green and white pills into Wanda’s palm.

“For now she needs rest and to keep an eye on her temp. Let me or Jarvis know if it gets above 103 and I’ll give her an ice bath if needed. If you like i can have Jarvis send live updates of her stats to my computer if that makes you feel better.”

“That would be great thanks Bruce.” Wanda said. “Well i better get this one to bed.” Wanda said as you nuzzled into her neck again.

“Thanks again Bruce.” Wanda said and you slurred something incomprehensible.

“Its alright girls don’t hesitate to contact me if you need anything at all.”

You must have fallen asleep sometime on the way back because the next thing you knew you were asleep in your bed with your girlfriend.

Life was good, even if it was hard to breathe.

hii ! ive been following you for a while now, and i just saw your recent posts abt the gdragon and karina collab, and that youre probably worried abt karina but i just want to try and clear that up for you somehow..? i also dont know if you really know anything about gdragon and i honestly dont know that much about him aswell, since im mainly a gg stan. but if anyone wants to correct me in anything then go for it.

Hello all. If we want tumblr to listen to us then we need to express it in a way that tumblrs 'potential' users (that they care so much about) will see, and will likely prevent from using tumblr until staff fuckin listens.

How?

Tumblr posts are limited to tumblr, any new users won't see as they'll mainly follow themed blogs, so staff doesn't care because it won't affect their goals in any meaningful way. Investors also aren't looking at tumblr posts to decide if they'll invest so tumblr isnt negatively monetarily affected by complaint posts.

Talking about tumblrs downfalls on other sites may help, but unless its a large movement at one time, staff and the general public wont see/care about any complaints.

One thing that new users will definitely see if theyre on mobile however, and investors can check easily, is the rating and review of tumblr on the App Store. This means that the rating/reviews is something that can directly impact whether new users decide to use tumblr or investors decide to invest. So is something that staff should directly care about.

So what do we do?

We rate the app badly.

But not just rating it badly, give a review and explain what problems you find with tumblr.

Some examples:

-bad moderation (incorrect flagging of posts, inappropriate posts not being flagged hategroups not being banned etc.)

-inaccessible (seizure inducing ads and posts, video player etc.)

-bad search function

-tumblr live and all the issues that have been brought up with it

-transphobia (queerest place on the internet my ass)

-anything thats a problem but i haven't mentioned

Why though?

Tumblr staff have recently started trying to monetize the site mote effectively while ignoring the requests/queries from current users in an effort to attract new users.

Since tumblr has many issues that negatively effect any users for the site but ignore any posts about them while encouraging posts celebrating them (think crab day), the only way to really get through to them is by means that will actually affect them.

Tips on detecting scammers

There are a bunch of fake mommies on tumblr. They create new accounts frequently.

Important rules 1. Never reveal any personal info to strangers on the internet 2. Never pay in advance

from the blog itself

Look at the username. If it fits one of these pattern, its likely a scam mommy-somename and some numbers (e.g. mommy-aria12, mommy-desire1) mommy-somename-realblog

Look at the profile a. Most if not all scammers use random profile pictures from Instagram posts (i guess). If the profile pic looks like some insta post, it likely is You can also look up the profile image with "Google Search by Image". Save the profile picture image on your device. Then go to https://images.google.de/ and select "Search by image". You will probably find some innocent Instagram profile where the pictures are stolen from. Please leave the creators on Instagram alone. They are very likely unaware of the scam. You may inform them, but don't blame them. b. if the profile contains the text: MESSAGE ME NOW FOR ANYTHING MOMMY IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE😍🥰🐼, it is 100% a scam

Look at the posts All scammers just repost images stolen from other blogs. Check for watermarks. Check if the image makes sense in the context. Check if there is any concurrency, or if its just random stolen images

Look at the comments Most mommy scammer posts have NO comments whatsoever. But it always says "some comments have been deleted". There are also never critical comments.

Comments: If there are comments, they will only be answered with "send me a message". Even simple things as "where are you from".

Context: Ask them things you see on their images, especially the profile image. e.g. About tattoos on them, or locations, or else. Scammers don't want to talk about that as they have no clue.

Language: Most scammers don't speak good english. They are unable to answer simple questions. Ask questions! If they can't answer simple questions, they likely wont be a great mommy either.

Location: Somehow, these "mommys" are always near you. That's why they wont tell you where they are from, first. They will always pick a location near you.

Sense: They will mumble something about being a professional trained mommy. But they always fail to explain what that even means. Ask questions! All the time!

money

Scammers will ask you to pay a registration fee. I've seen 20$ to 50$.

When you pick paypal, they will give you some randomass paypal address that is either a money mule or a hacked account (i guess money mule, see 3.)

When you pretend you paid, they will request a screenshot of the payment. That is likely because they have no access to the account as it is a mule.

What can you do?

Block them on sight.

Report their accounts. Not "this is spam". Go the long route through the form where you can write a text to tumblr staff.

Waste their time. Chat with them. Ask Keep in mind to not waste your own time.

This is was supposed to be a simple ask but it ended up getting long because of there being too many question and discussions but barely any answers so sorry about that.

On the topic of WhatPumpkin sometimes we all have to wonder what the fuck is going on behind the scenes, the latest news we got werent that much and it felt more of a like "Hey guys we are still alive dont forget about us" situation and it doesnt help that we cant really get any info because of how the only guy that Im atleast aware that works on it and is online is James and although I have no source because it was months ago, when beyond canon came back I remember him getting asked about Hiveswap and i dont remember if he answered it on the blog or on a reddit qna but he had said he cant really do much about it because hes just the music guy on that department and not an director or writer and he probably cannot say whats going on if hes aware of even the minimum because of NDAs and you know the situation is weird when not even the new director for post canon can do nothing about it or doesnt know what the fuck is going on over there either (i believe its more of the former).

On the same topic Hussie jumping the ship in my opinion feels like such an awful move in a moral and community sense, he hires fucked up people and ends up going through development hell and instead of trying to fix it he just runs away and gives someone else the work. He becasically invited destruction to that place by not doing background checks and shit and now everyone else but him has to suffer for it. I wonder if WhatPumpkin will close business after they finish Hiveswap (if they even manage to finish it) or if their writting quality wont be bad if they try to do Hauntswitch now.

Overall sounding like an awesome story itself, a alien coming to earth and fighting a cult related to the presidents with a human companion. Especially considering how Dammek sounds like hes an asshole and also because of how trolls are usually violent could lead to interesting interactions.

I might be wrong and biased though but I feel like that concept could attract more outsiders than Hiveswap could ever wish to do. Yes, the question about Hiveswap was asked in a Q&A back in October 30th, 2023 from James Roach here (Archive ver for backup). The news about development should be something more like how Toby does with the Deltarune newsletter. Monthly, maybe do a special event ARG thing that gives insight of what's coming up, or anything like that. Though even with that, it might be probably too little too late since we are at 11 years since the Kickstarter had funded. Probably doesn't help since 2 million dollars was wasted, it's a mystery how the game is still being worked on if the original Kickstarter money that was given to them, had been used up. What is WhatPumpkin's new source of income then? Do they have a second job they aren't telling us about? Are they using part of that Patreon money from Beyond Canon since technically there are some that work within Hiveswap too like James? Then there's the fact Hussie not only wasted the money, but basically left the Kickstarter project he started in the first place. He may own it and be credited as the creator, but he won't be involved in the future Acts and Hauntswitch. I'm surprised nobody is pissed at him for scamming them out of 2 million dollars. Do people not care if the original person who hosted it left? Especially with the truth come to light thanks to Gio's research on this. I wouldn't be surprised if WhatPumpkin does shut down because they couldn't gain the sales needed after releasing Hiveswap Act 3. People will probably wonder if even buying stuff from Topatoco would help or not with HS merch like the prints slowly resurfacing. Drawing in the crowds from old and new to play the game will be tough. I wouldn't be surprised if Hauntswitch was first made in mind before Hiveswap. Dammek even had a 3D model ready too.

Likely back when it was still a 3D game, we would control briefly but then after the cutscene of them being transported to the other planet, we would then have to take control of Dammek, have him meet Jude to possibly have him find a way to help him back home, and the pair would adventure on Earth itself for the rest of the game to find out about the monsters and the cult. Dammek's paranoid nature would play off Jude's conspiracy theory pretty well as it has the two involved looking deep into the mystery. I wouldn't be surprised if something about the cult would eventually tie in to his home planet and the rebellion as a final grand twist. An idea like that sounds more interesting than some girl getting lost on an alien planet and was roped into some rebellion that she has no reason to be part of besides being concerned for a friend.

Ok, I'm writing this post to show to my irl friends who only use tt and insta and shit to try and convince those fuckers to join tumblr bcuz its superior.

Tumblr is, as far as I know, the only social media where you can be free from The Algorithm. It is NOT perfect, and there are a lot of things to avoid, but if you give it a chance, I assure you, you may really like it. Tumblr can be an acquired taste, but why not give it a shot, since the rest of the internet is burning down?

Step 1: Customise your blog! 1, it's fun and looks nice, and 2, if you don't, many users will assume you're a bot. Make posts! REBLOG STUFF!!! Reblogs are tumblr's lifeblood, likes do NOTHING since tumblr has no algorithm. Plus, reblogs show signs of human life on a blog. Write a nice note in the tags or something, the character limit per tag is crazy so have fun!!

Step 2: Tumblr has a reputation, I'm aware of that, and yes, it is very deserved. However, this place can be your favourite place ever if you make it one. BLOCK BLOCK BLOCK. Most important thing is to CURATE YOUR ONLINE EXPERIENCE. Block people and filter out content, there are tons of porn bots, so block and report those suckers the moment you see them. Follow the tags you like and the people you like. Check if some online personalities you know have tumblr accounts. Engage in fandom, but NOT TOO MUCH. Find like 5 freaks who have the same or similar headcanons as you and hang with them AND THEM ONLY /hj. Dont like, dont read.

Step 3: Become well aquainted with your dash and learn how to use your settings. LEARN THEM. Take the time to scroll through your blog and account settings and learn how things work. This place is very broken, and the search feature is infamous for working poorly, so dont be too dismayed when things dont work as they should, thats just part of tumblr's great many quirks.

Step 4: Don't treat tumblr like other social media. DONT CENSOR YOURSELF! You can say sex, bitch, cunt, fuck, suicide, etc! And, if you are tagging posts with trigger warnings, then DEFINITELY dont censor yourself, that just makes it more difficult for people to filter those things out.

Step 5: Grow your attention span. This is the text based social site. Yes, there are plenty of images and videos, but tumblr's main content is text posts. Also, practice reading comprehension. Don't piss on the poor. Understand nuance etc etc.

Step 6: Talk in the tags!!!! Tons of people do, its so much fun. It feels less public, and it can be an easy way to get a few quick thoughts out without feeling like you're intruding. ALSO, TAG PROPERLY!!! This is NOT instagram, do NOT EVER add unrelated tags to a post you will be blocked and reported as spam DO NOT DO THAT!!! If you aren't sure what to tag, just go with whatever feels right.

Step 7: SIDEBLOGS! They are like regular blogs, but they are seperate from your main blog, so you can use them for organising your tumblr! You can make different ones for different fandoms, or one for art, or one for reblogging art tips, or one just to rant, literally ANYTHING. Just know that all asks and follows will come from your main blog so if you dont want that, maybe consider making a second blog, seperate from your main.

Step 8: HAVE FUN!!!! Its your blog, so do what you want with it! Dont be an asshole, thats basically the only rule. This place is WILD, so find a group of like-minded people and just talk to each other. Dont be afraid to use the ask feature either, most everyone loves getting them, and if they dont, they wont turn them on.

i dont remember saying that but i can assume youre referring to any number of times i lamented how its absurd that the trump admin managed to give the illusion of being pro working class by providing stimulus checks and for instance pausing taxes on unemployment during a global pandemic

i did make a lot of statements about how ridiculous it was that i seemed to have more "support" over covid with trump than biden

and i still stand by saying that, i think ultimately my point was always: the democratic party should not be looking THIS bad, they should not have dropped the ball that badly, and its ridiculous that they failed with covid so spectacularly that you could actually argue it was better with trump

i do think this is message is being disingenuous. anyone who knows anything about me knows i dont see this as a victory. and i wont even touch on the obvious part, that flippant comments i made nearly 4 years ago now within the context of covid lockdown and being disillusioned by the dems torpedoing bernie sanders (when i was heavily involved in the grassroots campaign) are not reflective of myself now at 29
