IT'S HAPPENING!! Our prayers have been answered and we're getting an Unintentional Love Story spin-off! đ„łđ
According to G translate, this article says: Thanks to such an explosive response, the spin-off of 'Unintentional Love Story' was confirmed. The production company, Number Three Pictures, said, âWe have started filming in the second half of this year and aim to release it early next year.â
Words cannot describe how happy and excited I am about this news. I'm assuming the spin-off is going to be about Hotae and Donghee.
We're going to get the HoDong story they deserve. đ„č
#it's going to be a long wait but i have faith it will be worth the wait#i wonder if Gongchan will be in it#i hope gongchan is in it because i adore his friendship with hotae#of he is they'll probably have to send taejoon off on a business trip or art exhibition outside of korea#unintentional love story

Hey P, I saw in one of your recent anon replies you said you'd love to see other countries takes on UWMA - and oh mY GODS! YES! I wish.
I was wondering if you have an ideal cast, country to country? Who would your picks be for the different productions?
(Side eyes Sam Lin as Dean for the Taiwan cast - also thought of Yagi Yusei as Team for Japan?!)
I was also wondering if there are elements of the story, dynamics, or characters you think different countries would do well, or what they'd bring to the table in terms of production and execution?
I genuinely can't wait to hear your thoughts if you have any!
Hope you're well and having a good May so far!
Oooo
Recasting Until We Meet Again
in different countries, 6 leads only, BL actors only, no existing pairs
(Generally I chose actors who are a bit too old for college, but this series could be set in a work place or sports environment etc⊠and the story would still work, so shrug.)
Taiwan
Dean - Sam Lin (We Best Love)
Pharm - Erek Lin (DNA Says Love You)
Korn - Alex Chou (My Tooth Your Love)
Inn - Shi Cheng Xuan (Plus & Minus)
Win - Hank Wang (Be Loved In House)
Team - Hsu Shuo Ting (About Youth)
You cannot tell me you aren't absolutely gagging for that last pairing. I think I'm brilliant.
Korea
If I didn't like busting up pairs I'd hand the Parks (Semantic Error) Dean & Pharm, and the 8th Sense boys their past selves. But since I'm feeling experimental...
Dean - Park Young Woon (The Director Who Buys Me Dinner)
Pharm - Choi Jae Hyun (Peach of Time)
Korn - Leo (Happy Ending Romance)
Inn - Gongchan (Unintentional Love Story)
Win - Kim Seong Hyuk (Choco Milk Shake)
Team - Jeon Chang Ha (First Love Again)
Alternate reality option: Hand it to OnlyOneOf and have them make a series of interpretive MVs about the darn thing.
Japan
Dean - Miyazawa Hio (His the movie)
Pharm - Kura Yuki (His the series)
Korn - Suzuki Jin (Given)
Inn - Oriyama Nao (Takara & Amagi)
Win - Komiya Rio (Eien no Kinou AKA Eternal Yesterday)
Team - Ohira Shuzo (8.2 Byo no Hosoku AKA 8.2 Second Rule)
Although we all know Japan would have Dean & Pharm AND Win & Team also end up apart/dead.
Righto, those are my picks!
Fun ask!

đ· Cosmopolitan: B1A4 Interview for Origine "The Tenacity of a 10-Year Idol Group, B1A4"
What does the original intention of a 10-year-old idol group look like? B1A4 reveals their true intentions in a pledge to show more restraint in their desire to show more and perform better.
Q: Itâs been exactly 3 years and 1 month since your comeback. This is the first album worked on by just the three of you, and for Shinwoo, itâs his first activity after being discharged from the military. It must be very meaningful and also quite burdensome.
Shinwoo: "I feel quite sorry. I'm concerned that fans may have found it hard waiting during the 3-year hiatus. Accordingly, we've prepared a lot. In fact, there was a lot we wanted to show with this album, and we were quite ambitious. However, it felt necessary to restrain ourselves, especially at a time like this, in line with our experience. Especially since this album is meant to show the direction B1A4 will take going forward, it holds more significance and is more important. You'll probably feel Gongchan's strong presence. As the youngest of the team, he used to rely on the older members, but this time, he voiced his opinions more and was more involved. Sandeul is our main vocalist, but I hoped the main vocalist role could vary depending on the song within B1A4, and it was well reflected in this album."
Sandeul: "The role of the main vocalist is quite burdensome. I know all the members' abilities, and unavoidably, I stood out more in terms of singing on stage. Sometimes, when it gets too tough, I joke, "Shinwoo, you sing instead." Now, having started to create our own songs, it feels like we have become a group that can sing in harmony. Just like Shinwoo said, while we practice restraint, we believe it's necessary to show our audacity and tenacity through our lyrics, melodies, and the overall mood."
Gongchan: "This album wasnât made by one person alone; all the members worked on it together, and that made the process very joyful."
Q: As a singer in your tenth year since debut, is there a song you wish had been more highlighted that perhaps would have been better received if released now?
Sandeul: I really like the song 'Nightmare.' I even mentioned to Shinwoo during this album's preparation that it would be great to make a song like this. I think it could also be a good title track now.
Gongchan: The song 'Seoul' is very charming. Itâs not too provocative, and wherever you listen to it, you can feel its unique sentiment. It's especially nice to listen to by the Han River.
Shinwoo: Itâs a bit embarrassing that both of them mentioned songs I wrote. Haha.
Sandeul: Shinwoo writes songs that are fun for the singer to perform. He also wrote this albumâs title track.
Q: People often say that an artistâs sensitivity dulls after military service, but it seems that wasnât the case for you, Shinwoo?
Shinwoo: Of the tracks on the album, I wrote three before enlisting and five during the later part of my military service. From private to senior private, there wasn't really time to write, and my sensitivity decreased. It was really hard right after I was discharged, and we decided to release an album because nothing came to mind. Military life does accumulate experience, but it's limited in providing inspiration to an artist. The repetitive daily routine simplifies your thoughts. But what was the question again?
Q: What changes have the two members noticed in Shinwoo before and after his military service?
Sandeul: Itâs funny, he just asked, "What was the question?"âthat used to be my line, but now heâs using it. There are times I wonder, "Why is he acting like this?"
Gongchan: He might have been very lonely in the military because he talks a lot more now. Ha ha.
Shinwoo: I really had a lot I wanted to say during those two years.
Q: I've seen older idols with many years of experience express sadness about being treated as outdated due to their age. This must be an unavoidable topic for B1A4 as well.
Shinwoo: Everyone wants to be noticed and show something new, so it's inevitable to be conscious of it. However, we are confident that with each album release, we generate as much anticipation as any other group. We believe B1A4 has its own symbolic presence and a unique image, which somewhat frees us from those concerns.
Sandeul: People often talk about returning to their original intention. It might not be possible to be exactly as we were at the beginning, but itâs something to reconsider. The reason I mentioned audacity earlier is because I don't want to lose the spirit we had in our early twenties, when we knew nothing and still sang and danced with audacity. If we maintain our original intention, I think we won't be shaken by what people say.
Q: B1A4's greeting slogan is 'Let's Fly.' Is there still a higher place for you to soar?
Sandeul: We are a work in progress. Ha ha. I actually gain strength when we say, "Let's fight on!" I believe that if you say something with your heart, it will certainly come true. I believe in the power of words.
Q: Having spent your teens and twenties together, the members must mean more than just colleagues to each other, right?
Shinwoo: I bet everything on this, but I consider these guys my family. There's no one else I can speak so openly with. I can expose my flaws around them without worry, and we rely on each other more often than we see our own families.
Gongchan: We're closer than family, so now it seems impossible to part ways.
Sandeul: That's why I'm currently worried. People around us say we should maintain professional boundaries with colleagues, but we are so comfortable and close that it sometimes feels unsettling because we are so close.
Shinwoo: We don't need to worry about that because we're a team. If you do well, the team does well, and the team needs to do well for you to do well.
Q: Sandeul, you've been very active in solo activities, including being a radio DJ and appearing on various variety shows. It seems possible that young people might only know Sandeul and not B1A4.
Sandeul: Even when I'm doing solo activities, I always introduce myself as "B1A4 Sandeul." There might be times during B1A4's hiatus when people remember me just as Sandeul, but I donât want that.
Shinwoo: I wanted the two members to be active and develop their personal capacities further. I thought that would be good for the team. So, I pushed them a lot.
Gongchan: When doing solo activities, we provide more support and concern. We comfort and take care of each other while monitoring each otherâs activities.
Q: Gongchan, you're currently acting in the drama "Lonely Enough to Love" How do you think his acting is?
Shinwoo: The character 'Junghoon' that Gongchan plays has a subtle atmosphere that wouldnât have been easy to portray, but he does it. It's unfamiliar, but I think he's doing well. Gongchan, being the youngest of the team, shows a manly and mature side in the drama. In reality, heâs meticulous and often serves as a stabilizer between Sandeul and me.
Sandeul: Watching Gongchan act on TV feels so surreal. I find myself saying, "He's so handsome," and "He's doing so well."
Q: The fans of B1A4 have grown up as much as you have. Your thoughts on the fans and their significance might have changed over time.
Sandeul: It's a bit surprising when fans who used to tell me, "I got into college," or "I got a job," now say, "I'm getting married." I have various thoughts, but to me, BANA (the fan club name) is just BANA. Itâs similar to the past. Just as BANA looks at us, when I think of BANA, Iâm reminded of our debut. They are still cute and Iâm thankful.
Gongchan: Being a ten-year-old group, I feel like I'm living life with BANA. It's happy to be able to share strength and various emotions with each other. I'm also looking forward to the time we will continue to spend together.
Shinwoo: In the past, when I thought of fans, I felt gratitude and joy, but nowadays, I find myself tearing up. I donât know why exactly, but I'm so grateful that fans remain with us, thinking about our songs and reminiscing, 'My first idols are doing well.'
Q: As trainees, you had goals like debuting, then winning first place on music shows after debut. What are B1A4's goals now?
Shinwoo: I think it's everyone's goal, but we want to be together for a long time. We watched a performance by senior Nahoon last Chuseok, and I messaged the members, who were also watching. If someone like him can show such passion, what's our ten years? Our goal is to keep active for a very long time, like senior Nahoon, and itâs the toughest challenge. At the same time, we want to shape the title B1A4 well. It carries peopleâs memories and our lives, so we want to nurture and cherish this name.
Q: What do you hope to achieve with this album?
Sandeul: The goal itself was for the three of us to release an album, and we've already achieved that.
Shinwoo: I hope to hear from fans watching our stage that they're happy to say, "Our brothers are back."

CNU âMy songs match B1A4 completelyâŠI canât imagine anyone else singing themâ [ARTICLE TRANS]
Hereâs the translation to the recent interview that CNU did. You can definitely tell that they thought long and hard about what direction they want B1A4 to go in as a ânew groupâ and you can also kind of see how heâs very sort of future facing in regard to the group. But, I hope you enjoy reading!
- Marisa
Part 1
Part 2
[t/n: I combined the two parts of the interview since the intros are the same for both parts]
The third person for this [I-Mind] is CNU (30, real name Shin Dongwoo) of boy group B1A4. CNU is the eldest and is in charge of vocals and dance in the 11-year group, B1A4. Additionally, he directs and makes music within the group as a âComposition Idol.â
CNU started by writing lyrics for the title song of B1A4âs second mini album âBeautiful Targetâ and then composed the ending track âSeoulâ on their second full length album âWho Am I.â Since then, heâs made songs in various genres and has showcased a broad spectrum of music from the emotional âDrive,â âCall Meâ that has a trendy beat, and even the intense âNightmare.â
CNU, who has been recognized for his composing ability, earnestly participated in the production of B1A4âs fourth full studio album âOrigineâ that was released in October of last year. About the album CNU said, âI think that this album will influence the next 10 or 20 years and we tried to do music that utilized our strengths.â As a result, CNUâs name was listed in the credits of 8 of the 12 songs on the fourth full length album including the title song âLike A Movie.â Thanks to that, the groupâs identity was able to be in the song and even their musical maturity could be higher.
What will the future musical direction of B1A4 be? CNU has said that he wanted B1A4 to not be confined within a mold in regard to music and that even if they receive negative comments, he wants to do various things sincerely saying that he wants to create âmusic that listeners can look forward to.â He was also determined when he said, âI will work harder with the sense of duty that even with music, itâs not just to let the public know but also so that it can be recorded on one page of K-Pop.â
News1 met with CNU, a âComposition Idolâ that is full of musical greed.
Itâs nice to meet you. Please introduce yourself. Iâm also curious about your recent situation
Iâm CNU, the eldest in B1A4 and Iâm also in charge of the mother role. We made a comeback two months after I was discharged in August and we also had a concert in December. (Smile) Iâm glad that we were able to do that as soon as I was discharged because it was my goal to release an album.
If you were to introduce a representative song of B1A4 as a Composition Idol?
I think it would be âLike A Movie,â which is the title song of our fourth full length album that we released last October. Itâs the title track of an album that we released after such a long time and Iâm fond of it because it seems to fit with our situation.
Iâm curious about your style of working
I tend to worry a lot when I wrote about songs so itâs a kind of progressive and aggressive style. Itâs hard but itâs also fun to make songs.
How did you first start composing?
I believed that there were a lot of things boiling inside of me and at first, the way to express those things was through song and dance. Then while completely working on the stage, I gradually had the desire to write songs so I tried to write lyrics. The first time I wrote lyrics was for the title song âBeautiful Targetâ on our second mini album. I wrote the chorus and my part for the song. That then became my momentum and I thought that I wanted to continue writing songs. So by the second or third year, I bought equipment with my own money and started composing.
What was the first song you worked hard on?
That would be the song âSeoulâ that appeared as the last track on our second full length album âWho Am I.â At that time I didnât think like âI have to write a song!â It was a song that I was able to comfortably write without any expectations. Itâs a side track that I wrote while thinking âShould I try to make one?â Itâs a song that contains what I felt after coming to Seoul. Because all of the members are from the countryside, the city of Seoul has a different meaning to us. [t/n: in case anyone might not know, the countryside in this context is just referring to anyone thatâs not from Seoul] The song details my honest feelings about how I felt when I came to Seoul to become a trainee and anyone that has lived in a foreign country will agree. Itâs a place where I met my members when I had no one else to lean on and itâs a place where I was able to meet the fans after I debuted. It holds the message that in this cold city I only have the members and fans to lean on.
Since you didnât specialize in it, you mustâve struggled and had difficulties while working
[t/n: specialize as in Iâm assuming be formally trained in composing]
In the beginning it was really frustrating but I fortunately have a lot of good people around me. Artist Jooyoung is my good friend from my hometown. When I was making âSeoul,â I asked him a lot of questions about music. At that time he told me about what kind of equipment I should buy and he taught me a lot about how to do the beats. I learned while doing that. Jooyoung and I were in a band club together in high school and the two of us promised to do a collaboration if we both succeeded in Seoul. (Smile) Later, I worked together with Jooyoung and his close friend Gureum to create âDrunk on Musicâ and âDriveâ amongst others.
You mustâve been really proud when your own self-made compositions were included in B1A4 albums
I really was. It was a time when I was into mannerisms. I had doubts about myself as a member of B1A4 wondering, âAm I doing well?â Although I was working hard since our debut, I wanted to be of more help to the team. I then did some composing and created some results. Thankfully the reactions of the members and the company was good and it was able to be put on an album. I really liked it back then.
Did you want to formally study composing afterwards?
Personally, I donât think that the concept of learning art is established. Rather than studying about it, I think that you should share and empathize. Itâs about a person who has experienced many things letting the one who hasnât know the way. I have seen how a lot of composers have written their songs, but eventually I did what it was that I wanted to do. Their way isnât mine. You can receive some sort of influence, but you have to create the result in your own style. When people listen to the songs that Iâve written so far, they say âThis is CNUâs style.â I tried to make my own path very clear.
When listening to the songs you made such as âSeoul,â âDrive,â âNightmare,â and âSparkling,â the genres and colors are all different. I can feel that you have a desire to create a variety of music
I didnât intentionally attempt multiple genres, but I just made the music that I like and it could have been felt as being varied. Personally, âNightmare,â that was on our third full length album âGood Timingâ was a challenge for me as well. Who wouldâve thought that B1A4 would do music that had a reggae beat? It was a style that I definitely wanted to try at least once and thankfully everyone liked it after I made it. I do have a greed and desire to broaden the spectrum with a variety of music.
What would you say is the biggest feature or differentiated color of music that youâve made?
That it seems like music that has been specially made for B1A4. Thatâs also the part that I consider the most important when writing a song. I always worry about how I should incorporate the memberâs voices into a song. I canât imagine other people singing it because it completely matches with our tone. Thatâs why I donât even think about giving songs to others.
Up until now youâve only participated in the side tracks, but starting from your fourth full length album âOrigine,â youâve become more proactive in creating songs. You participated in 8 of the songs and even made the title song therefore Iâm curious about the process
Itâs an album that took 3 years, from before I went to the army until it got released. The original goal was to announce it before my enlistment, but it took a long time because I went earlier than expected. I prepared the album all the way until I went to the army. I thought about it every day. When I was on vacation I wrote songs in the studio with a friend named Wooram and then Iâd return and when I was on vacation again, Iâd record. Thatâs the way I worked on it. I even asked the members to write songs and participate in creating the album. Personally, it was important because I thought about the album as something that will influence the next 10, 20 years of B1A4 so I thought about the direction. After thinking about it, we tried various things by using our strength as an ever-changing group. Even while feeling the weight of the year, we made a lot of effort for different music that will be further anticipated in the future. [t/n: Iâm pretty sure the year that theyâre talking about is the year that they became 3]
In the process of creating the album, was there no difference in opinion from Sandeul or Gongchan?
It matched well with the members. Although there were times when our opinions were slightly different, our desired directions and flows were the same. And because the company also agreed with our opinions, we were able to work while receiving more strength.
Out of the many songs, is there a reason why the title should have been âLike A Movie?â
Since it had been a while, I thought about songs that had our existing color and ones that had a different color and I felt like âLike A Movieâ seemed like the best in terms of B1A4âs new direction. Honestly, âLike A Movieâ is a dynamically composed song that has a melody line and no rap. Not having a rap is a big change in regard to idol music. Because we canât help but think about that year, there is a sense of that weight but since we wanted to express B1A4âs unique charm, we made a new attempt. I donât have any regrets because we gave forth all of our efforts. (Smile)
What is the most memorable compliment you have ever received for your songs?
In my final months of the military, I completed âLike A Movieâ and played it for the members. After I had come back, I had asked the president, executives, and successors to take a listen to it. When the song was over, all of them said that it was awesome. The successors may not be very objective (Smile) but I still canât forget that expression. And I asked for a professional evaluation from the military band and was proud when they said that the rhythm and melody line was good. Even the boss praised me saying that it was really good and I gained strength from that.
What would be the song that became a turning point for Composition Idol CNU?
It would be the fan song âA Day of Loveâ that I made before I enlisted. It contains the message that I want to convey to the fans without being convoluted. Just like how BANA always think about B1A4, we also expressed our feelings of always thinking about the fans when weâre eating, when the wind blows, and in every moment of our daily lives. Itâs a song that was made with honesty.
Out of all of the songs youâve worked on, what is the song that you like the most?
The song that Iâm most fond of always changes but right now itâs one of Sandeulâs solo songs, âOblique Line.â Itâs a song that contains the feelings that I had during various changes. I had written it before joining the military and I had given it to him because when he listened to it, he said he really liked it and wanted it.
With the fourth full length album you decided to do music that was different from the usual music B1A4 released thus far. What kind of songs do you want to do in the future?
I hope that B1A4 is a group that doesnât become confined to a mold. Itâs my goal to make music that is unpredictable and causes future anticipation of âWhat kind of songs will they release?â I want to try an unlimited amount of various things and even if there is a negative reaction and we get scolded [t/n: scolded from the public], I have a big desire to try just that.
Do you have an artist that you wish to collaborate with?
There is an artist that I really wanted to collaborate with, but we collaborated on our fourth full length album. That would be Bibi who participated in my solo song âZero Gravity.â When I was in the military, I listened to their music and wanted to work with them so I asked for her to feature in my solo song and thankfully that worked out. When we went to record, Iâm very thankful that Tiger JK-sunbae and Biji-sunbae gave all sorts of advice and I fell for both of them. Besides for BiBi, if thereâs an opportunity, Iâd like to collaborate with my role model, Taeyang-sunbae.
Thereâs not many Composition Idols in todayâs idols. Is there someoneâs songs that you want to compliment?
It would be ONFâs MK. When MK makes a song, he works really hard on it. Before, when ONF received a vacation, MK didnât go and rest, but he stayed at the company to work. When I saw that, I felt his passion.
Please express your determination for future activities as a singer and composer
When I first said that I wanted to become a singer it was because I was simply thought that singing and dancing on stage was fascinating and cool therefore I set my mind on only becoming that. However, if you now ask me about what energizes me to make music, the answer would be BANA. Because the fans are there, Iâm motivated and receive strength when Iâm working or try to make music. Iâm very thankful for that. I also try to be careful as I think that the activities that we do can have an affect on many people. I will work harder with the sense of duty that even with music, itâs not just to let the public know but also so that it can be recorded on one page of K-Pop.

WORLD LITERATURE
World literature is used to refer to a literature being circulated outside the country where it was published, and itâs pretty sure that everyone nowadays is very familiar with literature, because, who isnât? People these days lives their daily lives with literature, surely, it surrounds our lives. Ever wonder if thereâs an occurrence one day in our life, a day without literature? Will we able to live with it? Well, I donât think so, after all, literature is our life. Now, before we go to the topic, lets have a brief introduction about when did the literature began.
The literature began early before 17th century, and ever since that time, it had a big impact from all over the world, it almost had taken up the whole world, a world of literature, indeed. And since the literature continues to expand, its dominant themes and styles of each literature around the world, expands, as well. And of course, up until today, there are still many more surprising notions about the literature all over the world! Â
Today, Iâll show you different dominant themes and styles of literature from Southeast Asia, East Asia, South and West Asia, Anglo-America and Europe, Africa, and Latin America. I hope that in the end, youâll learn something new about the different themes and styles from around the world.
1.      SOUTHEAST ASIA LITERATURE
Southeast Asia consists of 11 countries in total, these are Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. All of these countries were colonized by the other countries, except Thailand, thatâs why most of their literary works were mostly influenced by the countries who colonized them. Just like in the Philippines,  The Philippines were colonized by the Spaniards, Japanese, and Americans; however most of the literature here in the Philippines were predominantly influenced by the Spaniards for they colonized the country for 333 years.
The Southeast Asian literatureâs dominant theme are mainly diaspora (diasporic) theme. Diasporic theme focuses on stories outside the country where the writer is, it also talks about the experiences of an immigrant in a foreign country. Some example of a diasporic theme literature is âBanyaga: A song of Warâ by Charlson Ong, the story is about how Ernesto (protagonist) struggles living outside the country he came from, and fun fact, the author Charlson Ongâs relation with the main character is that they shared the same experiences! Itâs like the author tells his very own life story in the presence of Ernesto as the character. âBanyaga: A Song of Warâ as well, portrays the Filipino culture, as the author being half Filipino.
2.    East Asia Literature
East Asia consists of 8 countries in total, these are China, Japan, South Korea, North Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mongolia, and Macao. Without a doubt, East Asia is the most popular region in the whole world because of the countries it consists of. Mainly, the East Asia literature were mostly influenced by the Chinese writers; commonly, the China is the building block of the counties in the East Asia, on a fact that most of the East Asia country were colonized by the Chinese. With all of the 8 countries, the Chines and Japanese literature is the most prominent among the East Asia literature.
However, the Japanese literature has a different style, too. Their literature is mostly fond of ambiguous theme, wherein it has a deep meaning and sometimes, the reader wouldnât get the meaning of it if you are from other countries or city in Japan. The Japanese literature is also well-known for its Haiku and Tanka poems.
Some example of the East Asia literature is Seol Gongchan-jeon (The Tale of Seol Gongchan), korean literature written by Chae Su, the novel was written during the early Joseon era and was originally written in classical Chinese text. The story of said novel is about a person being possessed by the dead spirit who tells story from the underworld. But, the said novel was banned during its era of publication.
Other example of the East Asia literature is a Tanka poem from the Japanese literature. Tanka poems are mostly commonly written as an expression of love and/or gratitude, it may, as well a self-reflection poem.
Narukami no sukoshi toyomite
(A faint clap of thunder)
sashi kumori
    (Clouded skies)
Ame mo furanu ka?
    (Perhaps rain comes)
Kimi wo todomemu
(If so, will you stay here with me?)
Narukami no sukoshi toyomite
    (A faint clap of thunder)
furazu to mo
    (Even if rain comes not)
warewa tomaramu
    (I will stay here)
imoshi todomeba
    (Together with you)
3.      South and West Asia Literature
The South and West Asia consists of 17 countries, mostly the Middle East region, these countries are Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Cyprus, Georgia, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. Apparently, the South and West Asia is commonly known for their own films, âBollywoodâ rather than other literature. However, they do, of course have a unique styles and themes of literature.
Literature from the 21st Century Middle East circumscribes a lot assortments of genres, it, as well talks about human experiences oftentimes through a realist manners. Also, what makes their literature unique is that they have or includes their own traditions and practices of their culture.
One example of South and West Asia Literature is âWhite Tigerâ a novel written by an Indian author named Aravin Adiga. It talks about the life of an Indian in the light and darkness, although most part of the novel focusses on India of darkness.  Also, the novel has a darkly humorous perspective of Indianâs struggles in life.  Hereâs some excerpt from the novel âThe White Tigerâ
âIn fact, each time when great men like you visit our country I say it. Not that I have anything against great men. In my way, sir, I consider myself one of your kind. But whenever I see our prime minister and his distinguished sidekicks drive to the airport in black cars and get out and do namastes before you in front of a TV camera and tell you about how moral and saintly India is, I have to say that thing in English.â
4.      Anglo-America and Europe Literature
The Anglo-America is a large region that covers up 14 countries in total, these are Canada, United States, Belize, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, Guyana, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago. And as we all know, Europe is a large continent that consists a lot of countries, well, weâll not go to far with mentioning all those countries. The Anglo-American literature is closely linked to traditional English, since the American was colonized by the English, they adapted their literature, as well and was influenced by the English writers. However, the history of their literature is too wide, it covers up from the Old English until the Contemporary era.
In spite of that Anglo- American combined literature, the American literature is imposing to be separated to the Anglo (English), but why? The American literature has a distinct characteristic which evolves through eras and such; them, too have their own unique feature, themes, and styles of literature. In short, they have their own, so, for them, what is the essences of being together with the Anglo?
One of the greatest author in the Anglo-America is who we all know, William Shakespeare. With his one of the famous works âRomeo and Julietâ we can mirror the traditional style of Anglo-America literature that somewhat related to their culture, as well. Hereâs some excerpt from the classic story âRomeo and Julietâ.
ââTis but thy name that is my enemy;
Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.     Â
Whatâs Montague? it is nor hand, nor foot,    Â
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O! be some other name:
]Whatâs in a name? that which we call a rose   Â
By any other name would smell as sweet;Â Â Â Â Â Â
So Romeo would, were he not Romeo callâd,  Â
Retain that dear perfection which he owes
Without that title. Romeo, doff
 thy name;    Â
And for that name, which is no part of thee,
Take all myselfâ
On the other hand, European literature includes writing for some dialects; among the most significant of the cutting edge composed works are those in English, Spanish, French, Dutch, Polish, German, Italian, Modern Greek, Czech and Russian and works by the Scandinavians and Irish. Significant old style and archaic customs are those in Ancient Greek, Latin, Old Norse, Medieval French and the Italian Tuscan tongue of the renaissance. Moreover, the literature was written with regards to Western culture in the dialects of Europe, as a few topographically or verifiably related dialects. Various as they seem to be, European literature, as Indo-European dialects, are portions of a typical legacy having a place with a race of pleased countries which brag any semblance of Homer who composed Iliad and Odyssey, Virgil who composed the Aeneid, Dante who composed Divine Comedy, Chaucer who composed Canterbury Tales. These, and other abstract works of art structure part of what we call as Western Canon.
 5.      African Literature
The Africa consists of 54 countries in total, however, the African literature has a unique theme and styles. Their literature often to be relevant to its colonial background, and also connected to their traditions and culture, which makes their literature more unique. In addition, their literatures are often known as subversive and expressive contents.
Moreover, oral and composed narrating conventions have had an equal turn of events, and from multiple points of view they have affected one another. Old Egyptian recorders, early Hausa and Swahili copyists and memorizers, and contemporary scholars of famous novellas have been the conspicuous and essential momentary figures in the development from oral to abstract customs. What occurred among the Hausa and Swahili was happening somewhere else in Africaâamong the Fulani, in northern Ghana among the Guang, in Senegal among the Tukulor and Wolof, and in Madagascar and Somalia.
One of the most famous African novel is entitled âThings Fall Apartâ written by Chinua Achebe, Things Fall Apart exhaustively envisions how the Nigerian Igbo people group worked preceding expansionism. The divisions in this network go with the deplorable fall of the legend, Okonkwo, whose chivalrous however careless remain against expansionism closes in a forlorn self-destruction. Achebe's astuteness is adequate to move perusers past recriminations or authentic fault, since the Igbo people group adjusts to oblige Christianity and new types of pioneer administration. Similarly as the novel's title cites Yeats' sonnet The Second Coming, Achebe's African way of thinking of equilibrium in everything runs after a millennial association with Western innovation. Hereâs some excerpt from the novel âThings Fall Apartâ
âThe drums beat and the flutes sang and the spectators held their breath. Amalinze was a wily craftsman, but Okonkwo was as slippery as a fish in water. Every nerve and every muscle stood out on their arms, on their backs and their thighs, and one almost heard them stretching to breaking point. In the end, Okonkwo threw the Catâ
6.      Latin American Literature
The Latin America is generally consists of all the countries in South America, in addition to Mexico, Central America, and the Islands of the Caribbean, indeed, thereâs also a lot of country in the Latin America region. The Latin American mostly adapted their literature from the Aztecs and Mayans, two of the great ancient civilizations of our world, also, the themes of their literature are usually characterized by mysticism, magic, uniqueness, raw creativity, and wonder. Them, too give way and introduced âmagical realismâ.
Magical realism is a classification of writing that portrays this present reality as having a propensity of sorcery or dream. Mystical authenticity is a piece of the authenticity classification of fiction. Inside a work of supernatural authenticity, the world is as yet grounded in reality, however fantastical components are viewed as ordinary in this world. It is different from what we know âfantasyâ.
One example of a magical realism novel is âHouse of Spirits(La casa de los EspĂritus)â written by Isabel Allende. The novel was published in 1982, Isabel Allende's presentation novel narratives the violent political occasions of post provincial Chile, through the lives of four ages of the rich Trueba family. The extraordinary is available from the start, with Allende portraying the supernatural capacities of one of the novel's principle heroes, Clara. Expect ghosts blended into the consistently, time shifts in the story and signs being figured it out. A genuine show-stopper, of the sorcery authenticity classification, yet additionally of women's activist and Chilean writing. Hereâs some excerpt from the novel âHouse of Spirits(La casa de los EspĂritus)â
âThat was Marcosâs longest trip. He returned with a shipment of enormous boxes that were piled in the far courtyard, between the chicken coop and the woodshed, until the winter was over. At the first signs of spring he had them transferred to the parade grounds, a huge park where people would gather to watch the soldiers file by on Independence Day, with the goosestep they had learned from the Prussians. When the crates were opened, they were found to contain loose bits of wood, metal, and painted cloth. Marcos spent two weeks assembling the contents according to an instruction manual written in English, which he was able to decipher thanks to his invincible imagination and a small dictionary. When the job was finished, it turned out to be a bird of prehistoric dimensions, with the face of a furious eagle, wings that moved, and a propeller on its back.â
With all of that, it may be seem that different regions from the world has their very own unique way in terms of literature, all of the literature around the world is really fascinating and amazing. Now that Iâve shown you the different dominant themes and styles of literature from Southeast Asia, East Asia, South and West Asia, Anglo-America and Europe, Africa, and Latin America. I hope that youâve  learned something new and surprising thing about the different themes and styles from around the world!

[NEWS][ENG]Â B1A4 âFor sure a Happy Endingâ Regrouping as a 3-membered group âlike a movieâ
B1A4 released their 4th album on the 19th.
The title song âLike a Movieâ is a self-composed song

Group B1A4 made a complete comeback after around 3 years. âLike a Movieâ will be a new start for the members, they are sure that it will be a happy ending.
B1A4 (CNU, Sandeul, Gongchan) held their album release online showcase in the afternoon of 19th for their 4th album âOrigineâ.
âOrigineâ has âLike a Movieâ as the title song and the album will have a total of 12 songs. This album is expected to show all of B1A4âs accumulated musical colours. All 12 songs are composed by the members, the identity of B1A4 and their world of music will be packed inside the album. Sandeul said that âOrigineâ has the meaning of origin and beginning, and that the 3 members all took part in composing, lyric-writing in the 12 songs of the album. He also said that they thought about B1A4âs identity a lot and held many meetings, thus it is an album that is heavily buried in their own colours.
The title song âLike a Movieâ compares the feelings of a protagonist in a scene of a movie as if time has stopped. CNU wrote this song when he was on military duties. CNU said that it took around 2 months after military discharge, and that he really misses being on stage. He wished to return as B1A4 right after discharge, and he thought about every day during his service. Since this moment is like a movie, he said, so he made this song âLike a Movieâ, hoping the fans can listen to it as soon as possible. He wondered what it would be like to give this present to fans who have been waiting.

A comeback after 3 years since âRollinââ. Between that time and now, B1A4 became a group of 3 from 5 members. CNU said, âWe prepared with more efforts since we are having a comeback as a 3-membered group rather than 5, knowing that fans would be very sad. I have been making music on my own before but with this album, many more stories are shared and moving forwards, I thought about the direction B1A4 should go in. We met more often because of this and had many meetings. I think this is the unique point of this album.â
Those who are nearing their 10th year of debut will probably feel a heavier sense of responsibility. Sandeul said, âSince itâs a full album, it does weigh more. I feel a heavier sense of responsibility, and thought that we must concentrate ourselves as we make a new start,â Gongchan felt the same to this. He said, âI felt that I have more responsibility. Iâm the teamâs maknae so hyungs always cared for me and I relied on them a lot. But slowly, I also want to be hyungsâ help and so I always had the thought that I should work harder.

This time the activities will be a different starting point for B1A4. CNU said, âI had a lot of worries about B1A4âs direction from now, and it took a long time for the song âLike a Movieâ to come out. The 3 vocals are good together, and because of that I treasured it more whilst writing the song. Since we became a 3-membered group from 5, itâs true that I felt the same burden as we first released our first album. Still, I think that the album is a big change and challenge for us. Itâs a new starting point for B1A4 to go from.â
Sandeul said, âIâd love to keep the activities from âLike a Movieâ this time as memories. I really hope that many movie-like moments will unfold.â He also spoke wittily that this movie must have a happy ending, making everyone laugh.
At the end, CNU said, âB1A4 is like pottery. There were times when we burned but we will remain as a group with lasting warmth. Itâs what we hope for. We want to become a group that will have warm feelings and lasting memories in many people.
B1A4âs 4th full album âOrigineâ will be released at 6PM KST.

10 Lords a-Leaping đđđ (NCT - Haechan)
A/N: Emoji game, slightly more literal than yesterday. Enjoy!
âBye Miss Y/N!!!â The little ones called as they filed out the door in a flurry to meet their parents.
âBye Kids! Merry Christmas, be good!!â You waved back at them, waiting until theyâd all safely left.
You slumped in your chair, head leaning back and breathed a sigh of relief. You loved those kids, but boy were they a handful. Luckily, it was the last class before the Christmas break, and you needed it. Home, shower, dinner, bed. That sounded about right.
However, looking around the room, all you could see was paint, glitter and glue strewn all over the large table in the centre of the room and all over the floor. There was even mess on the underside of the table.Â
How?! How do kids manage to do this?
When the local Church was calling for volunteers to help out with arts classes for children at the Community Centre, you were all for it. Itâll be fun, give a little back, make a difference to kids maybe? Thatâs what Christmas is about, right?
Youâd even talked a couple of your friends into helping too.Â
But how wrong you felt. All your Saturday evenings had been filled with since, were scrubbing wax crayon off every available surface, trying desperately to get poster paint out of your clothes (some of the kids were wild with a paintbrush), stopping little ones from attempting to eat PVA glue and making sure they created art on paper and NOT each others faces.
You didnât mean to moan, but it was super draining and you began to wonder if you were actually getting anything out of this. And if you were making a difference at all for the kids themselves.
Ugh, anyway, the sooner I get this cleaned up, the sooner I can get home.
As you began to collect the supplies off the table, you suddenly heard loud shouting coming from outside the door. Out of pure curiosity, you stopped what you were doing and followed the raucous.
As you walked down the corridor and turned the corner into the assembly hall, you saw two of your friends reenacting, what seemed like, a scene from a medieval drama. They were so deep in character, they didnât even notice you entering.
âI now appoint you... LORD HAECHAN!!â Markâs voice echoed through the large hall. He was holding a plastic sword, tapping it once on each of Haechanâs shoulders. âARISEEEEE!!âÂ
âNow that I am a Lord.. I CHALLENGE YOU!!â Haechan pulled another plastic sword from his side and pointed it toward Mark.
âDude! I thought we were friends,â Mark responded with mock shock and disappointment.
âYou thought wrong!!!â Haechan shouted as he slowly charged at Mark.Â
The two of them were now having the slowest dual you think youâve ever seen. They were slow-mo fighting, knocking the swords together until Haechan plunged his underneath Markâs arm.Â
Mark's fake death was certainly dramatic. He fell backwards onto the floor, reaching a hand out toward Haechan.
'It.. didn't ha..have to e-end like, th..this,' he stuttered as he continued to sink to the floor.
'Of course it did,' Haechan declared, 'you killed my father!' Sword pointed at Mark's face. We're now in Star Wars, it seems.
'No Haechan... I AM YOUR FATHERRRR!!'
'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!' Haechan fell to his knees.
What a sight. Your two friends were now on the floor, shrieking at the top of their lungs.
Haechan staggered to his feet, you felt an epic monologue coming on.
'What have I don.. Ah! My Queen! You have arrived.' Oh no, he's spotted you. âLook, you even sparkle!â Haechan pointed to your hair, and you realised you had rouge bits of glitter stuck to some strands.
You crossed your arms, 'You guys know that youâre knighted with swords, not made into a Lord?â
âDetails, details Y/N,â Haechan dismissed your grumpy comment with a wave of his hand.
You continued none the less, âand aren't you two supposed to be music teachers? What's with the props today?' You looked around the hall, scattered, were all sorts of musical instruments, but the swords were a new edition.Â
âThatâs where youâre wrong, Y/N.â Mark had risen off of the floor and took Haechanâs sword. âWhere you see Lordâs swords, we see... music.â
âMusic,â Haechan whispered to you, mimicking Markâs words.
Whilst Mark was beating the swords against the stage, like he was playing the drums, Haechan was busting moves, b-boying around the hall with Markâs encouragement.
These clowns, theyâd certainly cheered you up this evening.
âWell, have fun you guys, Iâm gonna go and scrape glue off of scissors.â You turned around and headed back to your messy classroom.
Twenty minutes of tidying later, Haechan came bounding through the door, âTa-daaa!â He sang as he landed in the room, arms spread, âget it, Y/N?.. I leapt.. like a Lord.. a leaping Lord?âÂ
âYou were a knight..âÂ
âDetails Y/N!!â Haechan once again dismissed your correction. âYouâll make me regret coming to help you.â He immediately started to organise pens, making sure all of them had the right colour tops. One thing you could always rely on, is Haechanâs ability to tidy.Â
âWell, if thatâs the case, thank you. Lord Haechan,â you smiled, he smiled and everything wasnât as gloomy as it seemed twenty minutes ago.
Not long after, the room was finally beginning to look the way it had originally. As the last boxes of paint bottles and felt pens were put in their rightful place, Haechan noticed something left on one of the chairs.
âY/N, I think this is for you,â he held out a beautiful picture of a Christmas tree, with your name spelled out in bright red glitter.
Dear Miss Y/N, Merry Christmas! Thank you for being my teacher. Love, Yuna.
Well wasnât that the cutest thing? Yuna was one of the more shy children in your class, but she was so kind and sweet. She mustâve been a little too timid to give this to you herself, so sheâd left it behind for you.Â
âStill think you donât make a difference?â Haechan asked in the quiet room.
Youâd made it no secret to Haechan that you had been struggling with your classes.
âI donât know.. maybe,â you kept looking at the picture. âI mean, I know theyâre really good kids. I just wanna be a positive influence you know. I guess, sometimes I donât feel like they really need me.â
Haechan pulled up a chair, knowing that just by listening to you, he was helping you clear your mind. You mirrored him and sat down.
When you really thought about it, every thank you Miss, every see you next week Miss and every Miss, look at this! meant something to you.
âThey really are awesome, messy, but awesome. Like, today, Gongchan helped Sungjae hold his scissors correctly. And, Dasom helped Umji mix paints together so she could get the perfect shade of pink...âÂ
You couldnât help but smile as you remembered all the times your class had cared for each other. And in turn, all the times youâd cared for them. Like when Yuna needed encouragement when she didnât think her drawing was very good or when you drew a dot-to-dot to help Sehun write his own name on his work.Â
Little things.
âSee?â Haechan said, almost reading your thoughts.
âSee what?â You looked at him, confused.
âYou need them, as much as they need you. You shouldnât doubt yourself Y/N, Iâve seen you with those kids. They love you and you love them, thatâs what making a difference is about.â
âWho are you, and what have you done with my friend?â You were stunned, but so thankful that you could call him that. âYouâre proud of that one, arenât you?â Â
âNaturally,â he smirked, âthey donât call me Lord Haechan for nothing!â He leaned back in his chair, hands behind his head, feeling smug.
âNo one calls you that,â you said as you got up and tucked your chair under the table.
âYou did.âÂ
âTouchĂ©.â He had you there. Â
As you both got ready to grab your stuff before leaving the Centre, Haechan made an offer that you couldnât refuse.
âWanna come over to my house tonight? Momâs making Samgyeopsal. Food of the LORDSSSS.â
Oh wow, how many times am I gonna hear that over Christmas?... A lot.

| marked | j.jh | ch. three
genre: superpower!au
a/n: i posted a bit late today but hope youâll like this chapter! send me an ask for discussions, or if youâre confused :DÂ
the morning sun woke you up and you havenât gotten used to the warmth you hadnât experienced in years. the sounds of birds chirping even at winter still left you amazed. the pink curtains swayed in sync as the wind entered the room, making you stand to close it. though instead of doing that, you took notice of the other kids who played out in the snow. it had been a while since you felt joy and peace in you. right now you had a place to stay in, food to eat and people to share with. everything was provided and it came to the point where you chose to stay.
the alarm went off on the side table between your bed and minaâs. she quickly snoozed it before getting off of the bed. âgood morning.â you prepared coffee at a small counter of the room.
âi gotta get dressed.â she yawned, her slurred words asked for more sleep, but you knew she couldnât go back to sleep anyway.
your back faced her and tingled when you took a sip of coffee. you slightly danced to the music the headphone gave off. âtheyâre by the door.â you told mina.
âseriously y/n you can see them?â she asked as she opened it, four figures came into viewâ seokmin, mingyu, eunha and eunwoo.
âwe thought y/n would leave the next morning so we came to check if she really did.â eunwoo waved at the both of you. âand sheâs here. $20 you too!â he gestured the boys you assumed they had a bet.
ây/n! this is eunha! sheâs part of our group too.â mina brought you to the rest.
âitâs finally nice to meet you.â eunha grabbed your hands and shook them, making you flinch at the sudden greeting. âweâre going to the hall. we have our morning exercises there.â
âââââââââââââââââââââ
the hall you last saw became a gymnasium. mats and equipments aligned by the walls. people began their stretches while some had already started their routine. the group brought you along the middle where it separated the boys and girls. whispers grew until they became quiet. like last night, eyes were on you. most were fascinated at your presence while others hid behind others. âthe newbieâ they referred you.
eunha started doing stretches and as you tried to follow, you felt people crowding around you. they were curious of what else you might do. âhey y/n! take fast!â a voice in the distance behind you yelled. people squealed and ran away when an iron weight plate flew to you like a frisbee. others had their eyes closed with their hands, fearing the worst case that could happen. you took the iron plate without looking back, and when you did, bunch of âoohsâ escaped their lips.
while you continued to do the exercises, the hall remained silent where only sounds of equipment and sighs were heard. the door suddenly slammed open. a boy in his sleeveless hoodie came in, earning attention.
âheâs here! heâs here!â
âwow first time in the gym since forever.â
âthat jerk finally showed up huh.â
after seeing him, mingyu and the other boys called your group. ây/n! thereâs someone we want you to mee- hey where are you going?!â
the boy in the hoodie walked past them without a word. he didnât stop walking. you thought he would go and do his routine but he ended in front of you. his mask was the first thing you saw before fists appeared right before your eyes.
oh boy whatâs going on?
you avoided the continuous punches, hoping he would grew tired of it. he was probably one of those who wanted to challenge you like the one who threw the iron plate. this time, there were no breaks in between. âtsk.â you sighed.
though you saw his motives into at least landing attacks on you, it seemed like he knew your motives as well? heâd block or avoid your every attempt to hit him. he was strong. all kicks, punches were nothing to the both of you. neither were injured. cheers of encouragement grew until he stopped, making you do the same.
âah just when i thought i could defeat you. my friends told me you were strong, i had to see it for myself.â he scoffed, removing his mask and hoodie. you looked at the boy who smiled before you, his dimples showed and youâd be lying if you werenât swayed by it. he was cute. literally.
âmy nameâs jaehyun. i heard youâre an absolute like me.â
âââââââââââââââââââââ
âyouâre crazy for doing that. she could get injured!â mina pointed fingers at jaehyun, not taking a single bite from her breakfast.
âhey i just had to double check her powers. i wasnât convinced when the guys mentioned sheâs an absolute.â
you sighed how your morning could be this noisy and energetic. window showed rays of sunlight that made the snow floor brighter, slightly blinding your eyes. you wondered what an absolute does. no one dared to tell you, even if you did read their thoughts to find an answer, it was somehow blocked. you tapped your chopsticks onto the tray, grabbing jaehyunâs attention. he immediately slid the curtains to a close. he smiled at your daydreaming state, happy to find someone like him. âi can tell you what an absolute does if youâre really curious. seems like you have no idea about your power.â
the rest of the group rolled their eyes at jaehyunâs starter for a conversation.Â
âthere he goes again. he knows what youâre about to say, y/n.â eunha said.
âhe reads peoplesâ minds like itâs a book to them. how creepy!â mina faked a clap as if to mock him.
âexactly! which is why itâs hard to keep secrets from him!â seokmin gave hi-five mina.
âcorrection, itâs not read. i hear your thoughts even before you say it.â jaehyun finished his waffle, turning towards you. you played with the radishes on your plate before jaehyun started to speak. âthis is what an âabsoluteâ does.â he poked your hand. âthey have a power that consists of skills, capabilities thatâre beyond comparison than the people here.â
you raised your brow in confusion. âso youâre saying thatâs the only point an absolute can have? heck, i donât even know my own capabilities.â
âiâm aware that you know youâve been categorized. let me name the others.â he took a sip from his milkshake. seokmin and the other had eyes on him too, like he was about to tell a nightmare story. âmina for sure told you about how we got our powers- that is near death experience.â
mina stood up and slightly banged the table. âyou heard our conversation last night?? how dare-â
âshush you twerp.â mingyu pulled mina down to her seat.
âin the core, the system tells us five main power categories.â jaehyun brought out his fingers to name them. âthe manipulatorsâ those who controls or influencesâ thatâs eunwoo with teleportation. the emittersâ those who emit any matter from their palmsâ mina with fire/heat. the adaptersâ those who can quickly adapt to the environmentâ seokmin with resistance to cold and mingyu with aquatic. the enhanced and the supernaturals have the same qualities depending on the cases. however, the supernaturals are relatively on a higher level than the enhanced. eunha is an enhanced in synesthesia, which is why sheâs on the investigation council, and was able to locate you.â
you tried to bring the new information to your head as your brain processed each and every word jaehyun said. âand those like us?â your eyes anticipated for the next, resting your chin onto your knuckles.
âthe absolutes, are greater than all the categories combined. though we donât have any emission or adaptation-related powers, we have an infinite scale of sense. strength is a bonus too. in my case, itâs hearing. and yours..â he trailed off, looking into your eyes.
âmine is vision.â you completed his sentence, a smile grew on jaehyunâs face.Â
âthatâs right.â
no matter the answer, this was news for you. a good type of news. yet something still bothered you; the people you unintentionally took lives from.Â
the bell rang and the rest of the group decided to leave for their own training sessions and classes. they said goodbyes, leaving only you and jaehyun on the table.Â
âi canât answer that, but i know someone who does.â he blurted out, the silence between you and him ended. âsince starting from now weâll have classes together with gongchan.â
âcan you ever avoid hearing my thoughts? itâs getting creepy, like others have said.â you swallowed your saliva, avoiding his gaze.
âcan you ever avoid seeing my thoughts?â he retorted back, his dimples still evident. âand i know you found me cute earl-â
âagh stop!â you threw a tissue at him, he laughed as he shielded himself. âcanât blame me for seeing ten seconds into the future, can you?âÂ
âah, so you found me cute even before i entered the hall.â he teased, his upper part of his ears shaded pink. âi can detect if youâre lying or not.â
âand what if iâm not?â you stuck out your tongue, later you giggled at the boyâs reaction. âyour ears are really honest, arenât they?â
jaehyun covered his ears in embarrassment. âiâll give you an a-plus for noticing that on our first meeting. letâs go?â

Hii
Thank you so much for your lists, meta, spreadsheets and so on. I found BL relatively recently but as a queer person who used to watch any queer movie I could get my hands on, it has been amazing. And your blog has helped me to understand BL, tropes, filming techniques/styles, media analysis, recommendations and so forth. Thank you so much for your hard work.
I wanted to ask, I have a friend a recently met that is queer and thought he (is from the US) might like BL. I was thinking in recommending him The new employee or Bad buddy, but wanted to ask you what would you recommend a queer person to first start in BL.
Also, I love Moon Ji Yong and Khaotung's in-love eyes. They're superb. I was wondering if you have a top of your fav in-love eyes of BL.
Again, thank you so much, sending good vibes âš
Thank you for the compliments! So glad to be helpful!
My favorite love eyes?
Currently? Gongchan - Unintentional Love Story:
what would you recommend a queer person to first start in BL?
I thought I had a post about this but now I can't find it so I'm going to cobble one together for you.
I did do come intro level BL question here, but none of them speak specifically to a queer viewer.

To. BANA
BANA, itâs CNU. Itâs been a long time since Iâve called out to you by saying âBANA.â Youâre all doing well, right? Iâm hearing the latest news through the online letters and handwritten letters that youâve sent me. The things you say to me give me so much strength during my military life. Iâm reading each and every one of the many letters as I work hard in my military life. Iâm doing well. Iâm doing so well that I wonder if itâs even acceptable. Iâm enjoying the food and sleeping well, and I get along well with the others in my barracks.
Also, Iâve become the company commander for the 10th company! Iâm still learning but Iâm trying hard so that I can improve. I heard that Sandeul and Gongchan successfully finished the Japanese fan meeting. There were some worries because it was their first performance without me, but those worries werenât necessary. Iâm really happy too because I heard that the reactions were great and that BANAs had a good time.
Ah! You received the gift that I sent you, right? Thanks for loving âA Day of Loveâ so much. When youâre feeling tired, having a hard time, or when you miss us, I hope that youâll gain strength by listening to this song.
Iâm writing this letter during our individual time on the weekend, and Iâm thinking about all of you a lot. Iâll wait for the day that I can meet you again on stage. Until that day, you have to stay healthy! Also, if I have the chance again, Iâll send you news about me. Itâs cold out so please be careful not to catch a cold, and I hope that youâll eat regularly. Thatâs all for now. Letâs win!
From, CNU.

That Sandeulâs and Gongchanâs duet is so amazing!
(I honestly love Gongchanâs voice in it, it fits well... and somehow it reminds me BTS. I wonder how Gongchanâs cover would sound!)

Re: comeback and cnuâI do love that about him..I agree that he prob didnât want to leave without the two if they are in fact thinking of leaving. Iâve also got mixed feelings about them doing a comeback with wm/rbw especially if the fan meets/bday concepts the two had last year are where their direction is being taken.
Although I will say that gongchan pulls off that look from the gifs you posted so perfectly/effortlessly⊠sandeul possibly could too maybe. But I have to be honest and say Iâm not as confident with cnu (birthday live 2022 hello?? Please god no.) This photo shoot/video from GC is super cute tho!!
I need them to have a proper cb with a style direction that makes sense / is a fit for all and (hate to say it but also) their age đđŒ (all that to say, Iâm excited to hear more music from them again finally!)
Gongchan and Sandeul definitely pull off the more cutesy looks a lot better, it was always more natural for them and more of their image. I hope that their next comeback is of proper styling too đ„Č I mean, their stage outfits for 'Like a Movie' were really nice, it wasn't really until after that when it went downhill (which I believe I mentioned in asks about their styling before, but I do wonder if it coinciding with the RBW acquisition is of any significance). .
BUT YES! Regardless, super pumped to see what sound and vibe they wind up coming back with! (Also hoping we still get that CNU solo at some point in the next few months he teased us about??)
