Week 4. Finished the challenge and faced Christmas with the family (did as best I could manage to deal with that, though)...
-
Dec. 19
I woke up after 1PM, today.
After a bit of the usual, I did today’s exercise.
First, today’s DD. 1′ raised leg elbow plank with EC (30″/30″). Just about manageable. Probably not the best idea not properly re-hydrating myself this morning beforehand.
Second, Day 19 of the ‘20ACC. 3x19 jumping jacks, done in one super-set. Very breezy work. (For the most part, given poor food/drink choices earlier.)
Last, Day 19 of the FhP. Level 3, 1′ rest. Yeah, was regretting just drinking coffee for fluids during this. But I got through it. I do like all the kicks, though.
I spent some time updating some logs again, doing some dishes, breaking down some boxes... and then had to clean up a flooded kitchen sink cabinet because didn’t realize just HOW MUCH had been pooling underneath, since I last checked. That was fucking fun.
(The Uncle was responsible for breaking the sink in the first place - shut down the idea of having him fix that so fucking fast with Dad.)
To chill out, I spent rest of night on the usual stuff.
I went to bed obscenely late again, somewhat later than yesterday.
-
Dec. 20
I woke up after 2PM.
After some browsing, I did today’s exercises.
First, today’s DD. 1′ plank punches with EC. I counted 54 reps. Got a tiny bit sloppy due to shirt/sleeves slipping as I went, very distracting. Would’ve been more fun, otherwise. :P
Second, Day 20 of the ‘20ACC. 3x20 butt kicks, done in one super-set. This was fairly breezy to knock out.
Last, Day 20 of the FhP. Level 3, 1′ rest. It was pretty manageable - not super consistent with my push-up form. Was a bit miffed about the phone ringing mid-set once. Hope that wasn’t important. =_=
Spent some time on the usual before our double feature movie night. We watched The Nightmare Before Christmas and Die Hard. Festive and amusing to think of iZ!AU stuff in process.
Got to bed earlier than yesterday, still in the red.
-
Dec. 21
I woke up a bit before noon.
After tumblr/etc., I did today’s exercises. (Also dad called for a plumber today to fix the damn sink that the uncle broke, finally.)
First, today’s DD. 1′ bicep flex hold with EC. I thought this was a tiny bit easy to hold it... but then I felt the ache/strain after releasing. Not too intensely, but noticeable. Still a fun one and it’s nice for me to notice my biceps at this point. (Though at distance, isn’t as noticeable.)
Second, Day 21 of the ‘20ACC. 3x21 bridges, done in one super-set. That got pretty intense in the last third or so. Glutes certainly felt that one.
Last, Day 21 of the FhP. Level 3, 1′ rest. I’m pretty happy that I can manage that load still. Also liked not dealing with neck strain at all today.
I spent rest of night on the usual noise - including researching a medical issue  that I think is relevant to iZ!AU... but probably won’t actually get worked into it. (It was about something called TTTS, and it’s a pregnancy complication.) :,D
Got to bed earlier than yesterday, still in the red.
-
Dec. 22
I woke up after noon and one of the first things I did was today’s exercise.
First, today’s DD. 2′ one arm plank with EC (1′/1′.) This took some digging in and i really felt my abs. But I’m happy I could manage it.
Second, Day 22 of the ‘20ACC. 3x22 flutter kicks, done in one super-set. Manageable to get that many down in one go. Partly because flutter kicks are one of those faster exercises.
Last, Day 22 of the FhP. Level 3, 1′ rest. Thought about shortening rests a bit more, but decided against it. Fun sequence, though! Turning kicks require being attentive of the knees but arguably on of the more fun ones to pull off. Just something satisfying about the arcing motion (similar feelings to throwing hooks.)
I then made today’s Hello Fresh Dinner. Plant-based protein rigatoni alla rossa. I personally liked this one reasonably well. Got a meh from everyone else. Probably won’t be for awhile before we do this one again.
I spent a few hours after that playing Cards Against Humanity with some folks. Had a lot of fun. A lot of laughing to the point of tears.
I got to bed later than yesterday.
-
Dec. 23
I got up after noon.
After I spent time on twitter and doing some music binging (getting overstimulated and hungry) - got to my exercise stuff again.
First, today’s DD. 15 jump squats with EC. Manageable, hope I minded the knees well enough.
Second, Day 23 of the ‘20ACC. 3x23 arm circles, done in one super-set. I did 1 extra so I could have an even number to split for both directions of rotating. Breezy work.
(Did some more music binging/tinkering stuff, mostly playing with Boil The Frog.)
Last, Day 23 of the FhP. Level 3, 1′ rest. The first set was an uncoordinated hot mess and had to keep checking the sheet. But got into a rhythm after that without needing to think too much.
Spent rest of night on the usual. I just was so tired.
I just barely got to bed around the red-yellow threshold (a few minutes after 2AM) - definitely indication of just how much of a low-energy day today was. I was just absolutely exhausted.
-
Dec. 24
I woke up a bit after noon today.
One of the first things I got squared away was exercise.
First, today’s DD. 2′ tree pose with EC (1′/1′). For first side foot slipped down at some point, so I had to adjust and tuck it back in place. I was still keeping my balance during that so I’ll count it. I do still enjoy how meditative this exercise is.
Second, Day 24 of the ‘20 Advent Calendar Challenge. 3x24 high knees, done in one super-set. Fairly breezy to manage that way, too. Another challenge in the bag.
Last, Day 24 of the FhP. Level 3, 1′ rest. Manageable - I think the side bridges were the more intensive part of the sequence. Again, glad I could keep my head down too.
Spent some time updating some logs after that.
I then made today’s Hello Fresh meal. Country beef & mushroom pot pie. Mostly everyone liked this well enough. [Re-]Learned that cobblers can also be savory from thinking this recipe looked more like stew and dumplings.
Then did some dishes, hit the showers, and cleaned my room. Did some to the usual stuff too.
I was so tired I managed to get to bed in the yellow zone.
-
Dec. 25
I woke up after 11AM.
We opened all our Christmas gifts in the morning. I got a really nice set of headphones (comfortable fit & sans mic; my older set was on the way out & was probably a decade old at this point), a comfy/loose sweater, and Pokemon Omega Ruby.
I spent some time before heading out to the grandparents’ place playing Pokemon. Played it some more while there, while waiting on Grandma to finish cooking the dinner. Partly to keep up some walls with the grandpa.
Dinner/dessert was tasty but a bit tense for a couple conversational topics that I had felt wrong/uncomfortable. But I just held my tongue. Too tired to engage those threads.
Played a couple games of contract rummy with dad and Grandma. Grandma won both games. We then made our way home - it was pelting rain by the time we got there.
Spent rest of night mostly chatting a bit and playing more Pokemon.
Still tired, I went to bed in the yellow zone again. A bit earlier than yesterday, even.
-
Summary of Experience:
I completed the ‘20 Advent Calendar Challenge on December 24. I did all but one day in one super-set (it was the upward/downward dogs day, Day 11 kicked my ass). It was pretty fun to try to challenge myself with this one - since there were a few days I was tempted to break up but didn’t.

Did the migraine cause extreme pain or did it just make you blind without pain? I've heard of chronic migraines causing auras (seeing like a highlight around objects? sounds funky but not fresh) but blindness i understand to be a real extreme result
(sorry this is long) here’s what i experienced:
have you ever accidentally looked into a bright light or laser and seen the afterimage in your eyes? usually if you blink a few times the disturbance will go away. i cant remember exactly what i was doing beforehand, i think just typing stuff on my laptop, but i started seeing this arc/crescent-shape in my vision, somewhat in the center but off to the right. it was like a backwards L or C, or like a boomerang shape.
the boomerang was flashing/strobing in colors and was like an incision out of my vision, kind of like when a TV screen breaks. i was trying to text my friends that i was having vision problems, but when i went to look down at my phone i couldn’t see the right side of it. it was like someone had used the pinch/spiral tool in photoshop and just faded/blurred everything in one area.
i had cupped my hand over one eye and then the other to see which eye was being affected, as i “felt” it was coming from my right eye, but it was still present in the center of my vision regardless of which eye was covered.
i called the advice nurse and took a shower while on hold because i figured if i had to go to the emergency room i wanted to be clean. (glad i did, because i did go to the e.r.) i put in some regular moisturizing eyedrops just in my right eye to see if it was maybe something that got stuck in my eye.
advice nurse strongly suggested i go to the e.r. as temporary blindness can be serious. while on the phone with the nurse, the shape started moving toward the right side of my vision, hung out in the periphery, and then my vision was restored. altogether the disturbance lasted about 20 minutes.
i told my mom what happened and she said she would immediately take me to the e.r. as i obviously shouldnt drive myself. then i told my friends in voice chat and @theabsolutevoid suggested it might be the onset of a migraine. there was no pain but within the next few minutes i started experiencing a moderate, strained headache.
i’d had a pretty rough day altogether, though. that morning i fell asleep around 5am then shot awake at 8am with anxiety and feeling really sweaty and uncomfortable. i didnt have the energy to shower and i felt like i was vibrating out of my skin, i knew i had more time to sleep so i took a half a xanax (half of 0.25mg) and fell back asleep around 1030. i woke up around 2pm super groggy, still hadnt eaten or drank anything, threw up, slept again til about 430, then around 8-830pm had the blindness event and went to the E.R. at 9pm. all id eaten was maybe half a pop tart and then i had a clif bar on the way to the E.R.
i dont have a lot of experience with migraines, but generally when i’ve had them it’s like what you’ve described: super sensitivity to light, auras around things, just sitting in the dark waiting for excedrin to kick in.
but from the blood tests, cat scan, and the doctor’s analysis it seems it was onset by dehyrdation, which can cause blurriness and blindness or even double vision. i was given benadyl (diphenhydramine) and compazine (prochlorperazine) via IV along with hydration to help with the headache and nausea.
i used to be more diligent about it, but back when i’d feel uncomfortable at all i’d just drink a glass of water. it helps to steady your nerves and puts some fuel in the tank, and i bet if i’d just had a full glass of water with the xanax instead of just a sip to swallow it i wouldnt have had that experience.
tldr drink water, eat food, get good sleep or youll go blind momentarily lol

Sanders Sides Primestar AU Plot
This’ll include a little bit of Prinxiety, but only a little... and halfway through writing it I decided to add in a bit of Logicality. Yeah the ships are hella minor and feel shoehorned but that’s mostly cause of the lack of detail. Oh well, doesn’t matter, it’s the story that counts.
Roman’s been developing his skills as a driver for years. He’s one of the best and slowly gaining fame for it. His mentor, Logan, has been helping Roman secure a good name and great fortune. Together they’ve made a formidable team. The only ones to oppose them were Roman’s twin.
Remus’ skills are a little different than most drivers. He drives recklessly, and by some miracle he makes up for it with sheer speed. He’s been Roman’s rival for years, starting just a few years after Roman started. His mentor’s been telling him secrets to exploit and loopholes in the rules, all so they can win.
The one thing that offsets the balance between team Prince and team Duke has been Patton. Patton’s the brilliant mechanic, personally employed by Logan. Roman and Patton talk a lot about the mechanics of the car, and bond over it. Everything was great until the Anniversarace.
The Anniversarace, as Roman calls it, was a race arranged by Logan to celebrate five years of championship. Young racers with potential were brought over from all over the States, wanting to challenge Roman for the title as, “The King of Racing.”
The night before the race, Roman had gone out to see the car. It was beautiful; it’s red coat reflecting in the night. He had assumed he was alone, but was sorely disappointed. He was ambushed, and beaten. He was left for dead, having been mugged. If it hadn’t been for Virgil, he would have died right there.
When Roman woke up, he hardly remembered anything. A week passed from the incident, and he had been coming in and out of conciousness the entire time. He had to recover, of course, but that would take what felt like forever. Either way, Logan kept trying to motivate him so he’d be prepared as soon as he was physically ready.
Patton gave Roman periodic updates on the car. Whether it be just a simple cleaning or an oil change, he and Roman would talk all the time. It helped Roman feel better. Soon enough, Roman was ready to leave the hospital. However, he still had to take it easy. Despite that, Roman took the first opportunity he could to drive.
It went okay, but Roman’s muscles were still weak and healing, so he couldn’t react as fast without hurting. He pushed himself too far and just as they had begun, they had to stop. Logan decided to enter him into a low stakes contest, to boost his morale. Since they hadn’t been earning much money, Logan made Roman stay with the car... and Virgil.
Virgil was quiet at first, focusing on driving, wearing earbuds but only in one ear, ignoring Roman. It wasn’t until Roman brought up Disney that they began to talk. They ranted about Disney the entire trip, and were friends by the time they got to the race.
The entire team was in a good mood until Deceit showed up, tailed by Remus. He gave sarcastic sympathy about the incident, and Virgil immediately accused him of arranging it. Deceit only replied, “With what evidence?” He left with Remus as the race was about to begin. Roman was shaken up by now, and Logan tried to calm him down. Roman focused, and went on.
He came in second to last, winning only to a newbie. He was absolutely crushed, and left as fast as he could. He and Virgil left earlier than usual, as Team Prince had neither the funds nor courage to stay. That night Virgil talked to him about it. Roman confessed that he had lost a lot of his skills after the incident and was scared it was never coming back. Virgil nodded and tried to soothe Roman to sleep, but neither of them could.
Logan took them to a remote location next, to get Roman back into shape. They started with trying to restrengthen his muscles, so that they could work faster. Then, it was basic driving. Of course, Roman remembered that, but Logan said it was good to have a steong foundation in which to base his skills. Patton and Virgil watched from the sidelines, cheering Roman on and making sure everyone was hydrated. Soon enough Roman was entered into another race.
This time it was more discreet, so that Deceit and Remus wouldn’t crash the party. Roman improved a lot in this one, and it only got better. He started building back his confidence, getting faster and faster slowly. He had a good streak, and soon entered another big race.
Of course, Deceit and Remus caught wind and showed up. They had been off winning prize money so they could stock up on funds. However, instead of trash talking team Prince, Deceit spoke to Patton, alone. When asked what they discussed, Patton said Deceit was “giving him advice.” If only Patton had paid more attention, the following disaster wouldn’t have happened.
First of all, it resulted in a loose steering wheel, causing Roman to spin out a little more than usual, even in his weakened state. Then there was a ripped tire, but Patton relaced it quickly with Virgil’s help. Then the brake failure, which nearly killed Roman. Roman had to manually brake the car, which also resulted in some unfortunate damages.
Logan was furious, and he blamed it on Patton. Patton was in charge of the car, afterall, and he had been talking to the rival. It wasn’t him, but Logan wanted to fire him anyways. After having talked to Virgil, however, Roman tried to reason with Logan. They both know Patton isn’t that stupid, nor would he betray them, so they came to a compromise. He would be suspended until the car was fixed. This time instead of Patton traveling with Logan, he was sent back home, and Roman stayed with Virgil.
The trip back to the practice place started silent. Virgil was upset over Patton, and so was Roman. They knew it wasn’t his fault; he wouldn’t make such a mistake. They vented to each other about it, and things got a little personal. Virgil explained why he loves Patton so much. He had an older brother just like him, but he died young. That’s why he’s so close to Patton; they’re like family. Roman nodded and told Virgil to turn around. They were going to find the truth.
They went back to the track and broke in, looking for anything that could have indicated what actually happened. Sure, it was illegal, but it was worth it. They had to prove Patton’s innocence. They found the office and soon after, the security office. They searched through the footage and found Deceit had tampered with the car. They stole the tapes and bolted.
That night they bought a ton of energy drinks and celebrated, stopping at a motel to sleep. They didn’t. At least, not until like, 5am. They woke up late, 2pm, and to an angry, frantic Logan. The car was stolen.
They rushed over and Logan was right; it was gone. No one knew how or why, but with Patton gone and the team low on funds, Roman and Logan gave up. The team disbanded. Virgil went to live with Patton, and Roman went to his parents. He heard from them that Remus was doing well, and there was an onvious shame that he had to stop. Roman kept in touch with Virgil, and sometimes visiting them when he had a break from his job. Everyone became adjusted to their new lives, but had a craving for what had been.
That is, until nearly a year later.
No one knew what happened to Logan, and honestly? After his explosion at Patton they weren’t that concerned. Anyways, Remus gave Roman an invite to a race. Remus told him many things, gloating about how this was his first championship win. He even said he invited the old team, so Roman accepted.
He met with Virgil and Patton ahead of time, catching up on anything they missed. They all went down to the track together to save seats, but Remus had a special place for them. They didn’t see Logan there, and chatted until the race began. That’s when they saw it. The car. The one that broke the team up last year. And guess what? Remus was driving it.
After the race they went straight down to find Deceit and get the car back, but to their surprise, Logan had beaten them to it. He was yelling at Deceit, and Deceit was yelling back. Remus was casually watching them, as if nothing the two men weren’t making a racket. Thomas came down to tell them they’re being too loud and only racers were allowed, but was stunned to see Roman. Roman, Patton, and Virgil went over to Deceit just as Logan started to walk aggresively toward him. They held him back and talked it out. Deceit simply told Logan that if they wanted the car back, they’d meet him at the “old place.” Logan agreed, and they split their ways.
Roman and friends followed Logan after asking what Deceit meant by the “old place.” Logan told them to buzz off and just wait, to have faith in him. They stopped following after Patton pulled them aside. He explained that before the whole disaster happened, he and Logan were a little more... intimate... and had shared secrets. Patton explained that Logan used to know Deceit, and they were rivals. They were racers.
The reason they stopped racing was because they were both deemed too dangerous to race. They were aggresive and always fought, so they were banned from racing at most places. Most of them, excluding any illegal races. So, they took their rivalry to the underground. There, they were free to do anything to each other. Fight each other, sabotage each other, anything. It got a little out of hand, to the point Deceit nearly killed Logan. So, Logan decided to quit racing, and moved on to mentoring other racers. Deceit, not done with the rivalry, also went to mentor young racers. There, he found Roman. He taught Roman everything he could, and tried to set him up to be a better racer than Logan’s. It all fell apart when Roman realized that Deceit wasn’t passionate about racing. Deceit was greedy, a thirst for revenge that could never be quenched no matter what Roman did. So Roman left. Logan’s racer also quit, saying that while he was grateful, the racing life wasn’t for him. So, Logan took up Roman. He taught Roman things, learned some, and was proud of the team. He was great. Deceit saw this, of course, and immediately worked to outdo him. “So he found my brother?” “Yes.” Deceit played to Remus’ weakness; that he would never be as good as Roman, and that their parents wouldn’t love him until he surpassed him. He then trained Remus to get to where they are now, and now Logan and Deceit were going to race at the “old place” to settle once and for all who’s the better racer, as well as get the car back.
They followed Patton to where the “old place” was, but in order to get in they had to have a driver. Roman volunteered, and Patton brought the car. It was well done; one of Patton’s passion projects. They found Logan, and confronted him. Logan was surprised to see them there and told them to leave, that it was dangerous, even in the viewing stands. They refused to go, and Logan nodded. Logan explained what the deal was. If Logan won the race, he’d get Roman’s car back, and Deceit would stop mentoring drivers. Deceit would also have to leave them alone, never bothering them again. However, if Deceit won, then Logan would have to be Deceit’s errand boy and servant, and if either of them refused to hold up their end of the deal, they’d be exposed for illegal racing. Roman nodded and went to gear up, preparing for the race.
Remus was lying provocatively on Roman’s hood, also heared up for the race. He mocked Roman and asked him how he enjoyed being hated. Roman just looked at him and said sorry, and apologized for always being an arrogant brother. This caught Remus by surprise, and he left silently to enter the car.
The race began, and everyone set off at top speed. Most of the racers had been sabotaged beforehand, some of the newest racers not even having gas. Logan and Deceit were in the lead, overtaking each other constantly. Meanwhile, Roman was in the back, trying to regain his skills. Remus swung around to the back to tease and bash his brother, even if it damaged both of their cars. Roman tried to focus on speeding up, and soon enough the other opponents fell behind. As the race progressed, Remus began to get rougher with Roman. He’d completely turn the wheel and broke his headlight. As the two gained distance away from the other racers, they entered an abandoned city. It was apart of the course, but definitely sketchy. Remus kept trying to knock Roman off course and went in for a big hit. He was frustrated at his brother’s persistency, and just wanted to be the better brother. Roman braked hard, and Remus drove straight past him into a building. Roman saw this and turned around, going to make sure Remus was okay. He was, but Remus was surprised. Since the car was a wreck, Roman offered Remus a ride and agreed. The two began to chase after Logan and Deceit.
Logan and Deceit were neck and neck, with Logan chucking rocks at Deceit’s car. Deceit himself was trying to drive Logan off, and the two kept up a vigorous battle. It wasn’t until Logan completeky shattered Deceit’s window that Deceit pulled out a gun. He tried to shoot Logan, yelling, “DIE ALREADY.” Logan ducked and sped ahead, focusing back on the race. Deceit ran out of bullets and caught up to Logan. Roman was finally on their tail, but both Logan and Deceit were too focused to see him. Roman used this chance to ram into Deceit, and it worked. Deceit spun out, skidding to a halt, as Logan went on. Roman followed and Deceit pursued them once he had regained his composure. Just a little ways away from the finish line, Roman slowed down to let Logan win. To Deceit’s horror, Logan passed. Logan won.
Roman came in second, with Deceit in fourth. Patton and Virgil came out to congragulate Roman and Logan, but everyone was shocked to see Remus. Roman explained what happened, and Remus went off to check his wounds. Roman and Logan were scratched up and bruised, but beared through the pain of a Patton hug. Deceit stomped up to them and inhaled, looking ready to explode. But when the words came out, it was quiet. “A deal is a deal,” he muttered, and gave them the keys to the car. He turned and left, never seen again. Team Prince, as well as Remus, went to go celebrate together. They had won afterall.
Virgil pulled Roman to the side before entering the bar. He told Roman how good he did, and how proud he was. Roman smiled, and told him a special someone motivated him. “Who?” “You.” They both grinned like dorks and went in to celebrate.
A few months later, Roman began gearing up for the race. Virgil interrupted his lonliness, and entered the room to wish him luck and give him a quick kiss. Roman went to go have a pre race talk with Logan, and met Remus on the way. Remus was also geared up, and the two did their little pre race tradition; a special handshake. They found Logan and the three huddle together to get some last minute pointers. Patton passed by to let them know that Logan had a nice ass... oh, and the cars were ready. Logan told them to go, as the race was about to begin. Roman and Remus walked out to the track and nodded to each other, getting into their cars. Roman thought about everything that happened the past few years, everything he learned, everything he lost, everything he was going to win. As the starter light went green, he let out a breath, and drove.

As the name suggests, today’s post is about something quite different than the usual. It isn’t really a product, it is a complete one-day detox diet plan.
Something about the brand
Tumblr media
Zoe meaning “life” in Greek, is a nutrition-first food & beverages brand, dedicated to providing complete detox solutions to its patrons, while helping in weight loss, building immunity and improve overall health and well-being.
Built with a team of nutritionists, they are committed to providing healthy yet tasty detox options at your convenience.
The Product and My Experience
Zoe One Day Detox Diet
Tumblr media
Zoe’s One Day Detox option is super convenient for those who want to lose some weight or just detox for the health boost. This neat packed box is your guide for the day…
According to the principles of Ayurveda and Naturopathy, fasting once a week is the best thing you can do to completely detox your mind, body and soul. Based on this concept, Zoe has curated a one-day diet that helps you detox and improve your overall health levels.
While I will take you through my experience for that day, I first want to clear things that such plans work for most but there is a possibility it doesn’t suit you and doesn’t show you similar results. I am just going to give you a view of the complete procedure and my personal experience.
Packaging
The box is packaged very conveniently with a note advising of the procedure, and what must be taken when.
I loved that it is extremely specific even quoting the time of day. A heads up here, that this diet does require your involvement every couple of hours, hence it is best to choose a date when you are home or have easy access to ensure the steps can be followed.
Tumblr media
The pack is filled with 7 small & 1 big sachet and 5 unique tea diffusers. I absolutely love the convenience of the diffuser as there is no hassle of straining! I think people at Zoe have taken every possible option into consideration when designing their products, and I love that! Everything is perfectly labelled so there is no confusion.
My Detox Day Experience
This is my weight the morning I started my detox, weighed first thing when I woke up.
Tumblr media
So, your day starts between 6 am to 8 am with an Amla Drink and the application of a face mask.. BONUS!!!
I loved that they added something like this to give an extra pep. Love the thoughtfulness.
The Amla drink is in a powdered form and one only needs to add it to a glass of water. Have this cool and it is amazingly refreshing. The powder is a little granulated, so you must stir for a while before it dissolves. It is a great start to the day with a nice energy boost and a slightly sweetened drink.
The face mask can be mixed with milk or water and applied for 10-15 mins till dry and wash off. The mask is cooling on the skin but not drying, so post wash it leaves a nice clean yet hydrated feeling.
Between 8 to 10 am they recommend having a nice breakfast which is the big sachet containing muesli, your favourite fruits and either milk, creamer or yoghurt.
Along with that goes a nice cup of Organic Spiced Kashmiri Green Tea. This is a tea I already started out and it is infused with various spices like cinnamon, cardamom, etc. that make this tea a pleasure to drink. In fact, this is the tea that got me hooked onto green tea.
Between 10am to 11am, its time for another cooling drink – Lemon Ginger! Once again, the powder just needs to be dissolved in a glass of water, easy-peasy!
Super tasty, just like your “nimbu-pani” just maybe little less on the sweetness, but certainly refreshing.
Noon to 2 pm is kept for lunch! Yes, it is detox day, but you shouldn’t starve yourself so empty out the sachet of tomato soup in 200ml water and bring to a boil. Pour and enjoy a nice cup of soup. I must admit, for a powdered soup, it was quite tasty!
Along with that, a cup of Daily Detox Darjeeling Green Tea. Light and refreshing, this tea helps you feel full and yet light!
Between 2pm to 4pm, you get a light snack in a beet & amla drink. Don’t make that face, it is quite tasty. Honestly looks like a light kokum sherbet, but tastes little like beetroot but more of amla. It isn’t too sour but has a nice slightly tangy punch to it.
4pm to 6pm, you can reach out for a nice cup f black tea, the Darjeeling First Flush Black Tea. A light black tea, this one felt like your usual cup of evening tea.
From 6pm to 8pm you get a nice pre-dinner snack – Lemon juice. And who doesn’t like lemon juice, right? Slightly sweetened, this powder is slightly fine and dissolves relatively easily.
From 8pm to 9pm, you get a nice cup of corn soup for dinner. Similar like lunch, you need to boil the contents in water and enjoy. I felt this was slightly thicker than lunch but very subtle flavours.
9pm to 11pm you can take your bedtime cup of tea and call it a day. This is the Organic Caffeine Free Lemongrass & Chamomile tea. Chamomile naturally induces sleep, ensuring you have a good night’s rest.
The next day morning you can finish the detox with the last Flat Belly Tulsi Green Tea diffuser, and start afresh with a nice cup of tea.
This complete procedure may look like it has too many steps, but believe me it is quite quick. Mostly just boiling water and waiting for the tea to diffuse or soup to boil.
So now for the surprise…

That’s my weight the morning after my detox. Wow..isn’t it!
Now I got to be honest here, I am quite active of late, going for a morning cycling stint and with an overall hectic schedule so not sure if everything has combined and helped me show this difference, but it made me feel good to see the scale.
It’s been week now and I haven’t put back that weight, so I am super impressed and intend to try this out again soon.
Tumblr media
Personally, if you ain’t used to fasting I wouldn’t recommend this weekly as it maybe too much for your body, but definitely can try it out twice a month. I personally didn’t feel hunger at any time through the day, in fact I felt quite refreshed and good, but maybe that was just my excitement showing up. If you do feel hungry, I would suggest not starving it out, but perhaps indulging on a healthy snack like a fruit. I also suggest ensuring you keep yourself hydrated, so keep sipping water in between those multiple green teas and believe me, your glowing skin will thank you.
I have personally had an amazing experience, and am waiting to do my detox again. You can check out their website through the link below, and the often have amazing offers for package deals.
I am absolutely loving Zoe and their tea range and am definitely re-purchasing not only the one-day detox but something more from their various tea ranges. Most looking forward to their sleep specialist – The Organic Caffeine Free Lemongrass & Chamomile Green Tea. It really helped me sleep soundly so I highly recommend.
Pros:
Convenient
Effective
Healthy
Cons:
Requires some effort every 2 hours, but worth it.
Access to hot water is a must through the day and for lunch/dinner may need a stove
Overall, I loved the One Day Detox Diet Pack from Zoe and look forward to my next detox day.
Price:
Priced at ₹1200 for the day’s supplies, it may seem like an investment, but believe me it is worth it. All you need besides this pack is for breakfast a cup of milk and any fruits, if you want to add. Everything else is in that box.
You can buy yours from Zoe online:
https://zoe.menu/
Highly recommend checking out their tea variants as they are awesome!!
You can use coupon code “DEBORAH” to get a flat 20% off.. Valid for a year, so happy shopping!!!
Don’t forget to follow my blog for many more such reviews, and check out my other social media, links below. Bye till next time!
Product Review: Zoe’s One Day Detox Diet As the name suggests, today’s post is about something quite different than the usual. It isn’t really a product, it is a complete one-day detox diet plan.

Long post about medical stuff
Ok y'all. It's 3am and I just woke up. I'm a little angry, but mostly deadass terrified. Let me list a few things about the last 14 hours. Long post warning, I'm on mobile. -I went to the hospital around 12:30, too tired to has a panic attack. -at around 1:15 I was called back by the nurse. The second I stood up to go back I started crying and having a panic attack. My brother jumped up to comfort me and walked me to the nurse where he explained my anxiety and ptsd. -the nurses were all SO FUCKING NICE to me. Even the ones later who seemed a little rushed and angry (more on why in a sec) -one nurse was taking vitals and checking on my medication and procedure prep. The other was setting my IV. I must have bogged down how long it took them to do this because I kept literally breaking down and going mute from terror and basically vibrating in the bed. They had to help me breath and ground me and distract me for probably 20 minutes. After I came back I kept apologizing for being a problem patient and they laughed and said I was WAY easier than a trouble patient and it was their job to take care of me. I didn't like that they felt like they had to take care of me and started crying again. (I was sleep deprived and starving and anxious as fuck don't judge me. ) -my procedure was scheduled for 2pm, but the one before me was taking extra long so I had plenty of time with my IV in to get hydrated and need to pee. That was an exciting adventure partly because I didn't want to move my right arm with a literal needle sticking out of it. Also I got to hear the nurses chatter about how this doctor likes to take his time and it ruins the schedule, they might have to cancel the last procedure. I thanked my lucky stars I wasn't going to get bumped. -at around 230 the nurses brought my brother back to keep me calm. That was a good idea. But my brother didn't understand what was happening- he thought I had already been probed. He did keep me calm when a new nurse came to grab me and set me off again before my original nurse ran over to explain my anxiety. I told andrew I was a terrible patient and before the nurse could contradict me andrew just gave me a deadass look and was like "Ellen you worked in a surgery center you know you're being ridiculous" -then they wheeled me away. I don't remember the last time I felt so helpless. People smiled at me. I couldn't smile back. -for reference, the best case scenario of me getting probed was they find a polyp or hernia, check my intestines for any signs of disease, slap my bubble butt and give me a clean bill of health. -in the room I started to melt down a bit, but they assured me the drugs would make everything better. I mentioned my body's natural resistance to drugs that knock you out, and the fact that if I woke up in a strange place I might freak out, and the nurse told me they use little doses and amp it up till it works so no problem. -she hit me with the numbing solution, smiled at me, and dosed me. She pat my hand and said I would be out in 30 seconds. They continued to prep me, folding me into a pretzel. A minute later she gave me a look and asked if I felt anything. "Heavy, but cognizant". They said they've never heard a patient say cognizant after being dosed. They hit me again. 30 seconds later my brain was slowly lowered into warm honey. I blinked at my nurse. She asked how I was doing. I said "sleepy but cognizant." Another nurse laughed but the one with the drugs kind of raised her eyebrow and pulled out some more doses. "Let's put you to sleep sweetheart" -the next thing I remember is crying and being held down. Someone said "she needs more (something) she's feeling too much pain" and the nurse in front of me realized I was up just as I jerked my arm out to grab the railing of the bed. She kind of blinked in surprise, then grabbed another dose. -cut to me sitting on the edge of the bed, totally dressed, and a nurse asking me if I'm able to walk. I stood up just as my brother arrived. I walked over to him and asked what time it was. He said it was 3:15 and looked at me weirdly. -cut to getting in his car, and I'm explaining how there's 2 exits from the parking lot depending on where we want to get food. Andrew seems to think I'm being funny. -cut to standing in Whole Foods looking over the dessert display. I'm talking to Andrew about which ones I want (all of them they are all beautiful) and how I wish I could work at Whole Foods making desserts. We wandered over to the sandwich deli and ordered some sandwiches. Andrew mentions that at Trader Joe's they have these cookies he likes, very lightweight. I immediately supply him with "meringues" and he looks at me funny. "Yeah, those" it's suddenly very important to me that I find my brother meringues. -we didn't find meringues, but I did buy a small bottle of sake with my food. Andrew kept saying I couldn't drink it and I said "but it's beautiful" -I think I called my dad. Andrew explained what happened but I don't remember. -we got back to my apartment and ate immediately. Andrew stopped me from eating all the food I bought because my stomach couldn't handle it. I pouted. -andrew started watching one of my tv shows, I was cold so I made a blanket burrito. He told me to sleep and I protested. -Andrew woke me up to say he was leaving. I asked what time it was and he said 7. I asked if I was ok and he frowned at me. "Yeah. Maybe. They don't know yet." What do you mean they don't know, they were supposed to know. "Well the bleeding was probably a hernia. But... they took some biopsy samples. Idk if they just like to do that but dad said they don't always take biopsy." Andrew they don't take biopsy unless there's something to biopsy. It costs money to run tests. "Yeah. Yeah. Don't worry about it right now. Just go to sleep. I'll put on leverage for you." -and then at 3am I woke up. I still had my hospital tag on, and my elbow is angry where the iv was. I'm staring at the post op papers, which are folded. I don't know if I want to open them. I'm tired of being afraid.
