so apparently i predicted a small part of kenji's s2 arc with my abandoned s4 fix-it fic which is WILD so here's other things that happened in it just in case i'm right again (kenji and non-kenji related):

sammy and kenji heart-to-heart

darius barely surviving a dinosaur attack (it was the spinosaurus but i think that can't happen now) and driving the gang into such a state of panic

kenji breaks a leg while protecting one of his friends

yaz and darius heart-to-heart about how nublar changed them

nightmares galore

kenji and ben taking care of baby dinosaurs

kenji (responsibly) taking the lead and coming up with a successful plan

ben being a space nerd

older brother kenji moments (overall just a lot of bowmankon brothers moments)

follow-up (now callback) to "i wish i had learned... just about anything before coming here" and kenji pondering on what he has to offer to the team

boys adventure but two of them are pissed at each other and the third one is stuck as a mediator of sorts (originally darius vs kenji + ben, now kenji vs ben + darius)

"you're the only family i have" said by sammy or kenji

benji blowing something up together

#that's a wrap everybody!!#i liked it it was really cute #i think chisato and kouichiro were the highlights of this one in the case of the original 5 #i think they had the most interesting dynamic and really kept the team together #i wish shun had gotten a bit more time bc the episode with the flute really created a lot of questions about shun as a person #yuusaku was such a great addition and my favorite overall what would they even do without him?#i wish we had more context around kubota and hineler's history together before the last episode especially since shiborena holds #the nezirangers were just as iconic as i thought they'd be and overall it was fun :)#such a significance to hineler but it's not really explained until the last episode i just feel a little more build up would've helped #megaranger lb #super sentai lb #umbrella.thoughts #umbrella.posts

With Eric, Lara could always be her full self. There was no need to hide the adventurous side of her that delved through uncharted territory and obsessed over puzzles. Similarly, there was no need to hide the glamorous lifestyle her wealth afforded her, even though it wasn't really her. Because in truth, she'd been raised with little, and grew up shooting and singing Monty Python like any other kid. Eric knew all of these sides and still only saw her. Only Lara.

And he saw her in ways only he could. She'd been to operas and live bands alike, but no one played like Eric, and no one looked at her the way he did. The music coming from his trumpet thrummed through her veins to a beat made only for them.

She met up with him backstage after the show, eager to show him her gratitude for such a performance, and then found herself receiving so much more.

Lara stared in awe at the engagement ring and then her gaze lifted back to Eric's. "Yes..." she replied breathlessly, unaware she was even answering until the syllable fell from her lips. "Yes! Of course!" Lara wrapped her arms around his shoulders and pulled him to her for a kiss.

There was no one else she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.

#dolphin noises #wips #I love me a good ghost AU 😭💜🎉😁#Timeline-wise I'm thinking maybe Cedric succeeding in his coup and Asbel arriving at the catacombs too late #Asbel passing right by ghost!Richard like a reversal of that iconic richass shot in the opening~#initially only Sophie can see his spirit due to her own enhanced capabilities #and Asbel can see him when they're all 3 holding hands a la Friendship Pact 💙💜💛#but ghost AUs are pretty much inherently tragic since someone's already dead #and if you play this one right you don't even need Lambda. One malevolent spirit is plenty 🙃#Asbel feels guilty for being unable to protect Richard in time but gets a chance to redeem himself this way #by helping Richard with his unfinished business that keeps him from moving on #Initially it's to ensure that his kingdom is not left in Cedric's hands (and maybe get a little revenge)#but Richard's own resentment twists him into wanting to take back EVERYTHING he's lost including things he simply can't get back #Richard's nature turns vampiric as he needs more and more eleth to sustain his continued half existence eventually targeting the valkines #And Asbel who had been so ready to give anything to help Richard realizes his beloved friend is crossing a line. people are getting hurt.#Thus the theme of the story shifts from 'protecting the will to live' to 'learning when to let go'#Poor Asbel having to learn this lesson first. That the best thing he can do for Richard is stop indulging his tainted wishes #and instead grieve together w him over what could have been then move on. It wasnt fair it wasnt kind but neither is what Richard's doing #it's basically the canon story except instead of saving richard and bringing him back it's saving richard and letting him go #it's angsty and bittersweet AF which is how you can tell it's PEAK dolphin AU 😅 themes of grief and loss and loneliness #helping someone who's lost themselves to obsessive love #'cause that's where Richard's anger comes from. the loss hurts so much because he cared so much. he wanted to fix the world then LIVE in it #dammit this is a half-baked idea and im already weeping 😭

it is both so funny and so sweet to me that chicha's first reaction to kuzco, when all she even knows about him is pacha's claim that the emperor was too busy to see him, is "wow that guy is such an asshole, wtf is wrong with him, doesn't he have any manners?? that makes me so mad i've gotta go angrily wash something" and then their first actual interaction is when, after hearing that he got turned into a llama and they have to help him, she instinctively knocks him out with a frying pan. and then their second and last on-screen interaction is after a timeskip where she has now presumably heard the entire story of how he was going to destroy their village to make a theme park. but she still symbolically invites him into her family by giving him a lovingly handmade poncho that matches pacha's and hugs him and then by the time of the emperor's new school she is willing to let him live with her and treats him like a son.

#god i want to know like. how the conversation went where chicha learned about the 'destroying the village' deal #and also the 'tricked pacha and tried to leave him to die' thing #because i have to assume pacha left all of that out or she wouldn't have agreed to help him #but i'm also assuming she knows by the end of the movie. i'd like to think kuzco himself had to tell her about it.#also the amount of trust she had to have in her husband to UNQUESTIONINGLY BELIEVE something as insane as 'the emperor got turned into #a llama by his advisor and now i need you to help me distract her so we can get him back to the palace and change him back'#she's literally such an icon i wish she could've had more screentime in the movie #🌟#the emperor's new groove #chicha #kuzco
