Little bright colored outfit with a fun vest ~
(shoes from ebay like 10 years ago. everything else is thrifted)
#ootd#jfashion#fashion#fantasy fashion#mori kei#....like... adjacent... lol#no idea what style this would be lol.. makes me think of like whimsical vaguely fantasy themed childrens book character#finally posting one of my aforementioned seven million drafts of actual outfits and costumes i have finished and edited#the photos for but just never feel like posting lol..#I need to find one of those people whos like 'omg i am ADDICTED to social media ugh i wish i could get off of it#im just browsing and posting like 60 times a daaaaay!!!' and take a little magical bottle and suck some of the social media#enthusiasim out of them. for moi. In exchange they can have some of my 'literally just never in the mood to post or interact with the#outside world ever' energy. We can balance each other. huzzah and so on#Though I think maybe it's part of the general thing I've heard of like.. I can't remember if it was in reference to adhd or just some sort#of general execcutive functioning issue type of thing - but the idea that things have to be ''just right'' before you do something. like#'oh i need to do this task. but i have to wait until XYZ first' or 'oh i can do this but only if X specific condition is met' or etc#The fact that I even have to be in a Specific Mindset to post. or sometimes will delay posting on social media because like 'oh well#I'm going somewhere tomorrow. somehow this matters. i cannot spend 5 minuts posting TONIGHT. clearly it will interfere#somehow schedule wise with the doctor appointment i have 15 hours from now. yes. yes. i must wait until my appointment is over#tomorrow afternoon. THEN i shall post' or etc. etc. lol. NOT even taking into account the many days#I just genuinely and physically sick and it's not even a mental thing. I just physically dont feel like sitting at the computer lol..#ANYWAY.. trying to get back into it. trying to get a business bank account.. make a proper paypal so i can start selling sculptures again.#selling clothes and sculptures.. posting about such things then of course as one must. etc... chanting to hype up and motivate myself lol#But yes. this is my favorite outfit out of the bunch so I am posting it first I guess.. maybe others later..#Also the purple dress says its from shein. which I've heard is bad fast fashion stuff. but maybe okay since its second hand? I havent#been to the bins since like 2020 or late 2019 even. and I think stuff like shein and temu has only become poular in the past few years#but I bet if I went to the bins now I might would find a good handfull of that stuff. Probably now not much different than what you#find in a walmart or a forever 21 or actual physical stores you can go to though. I hear quality of clothing is down everywhere no matter#where you get it or whatnot. What bountiful joys unfettered capitalism and exploitation bestows upon us (<being sarcastic).#Wearing one of my favorite little vests though. I love the texture of it and the clasps on it

You decide to go on a first date on Valentine's Day but what happens when the date goes beyond horrible? You call your best friend to help save you from it.
warnings: really really mean date, mentions a concern for being drugged but nothing actually happens
So maybe going on a first date with a guy you’ve never met before on Valentine’s Day was not your best idea.
The fomo of Valentine's day has been weighing on you ever since you were a teenager. You were far from the most popular kid in school and had little luck in the love department as you worked through college. Now freshly out of college, living in Manhattan and kicking off your career, you figured now was the time to start getting out there and going on dates.
To say you have hated online dating ever since trying it would be an extreme understatement. It felt like you had been on hundreds of dates with zero success and tonight was no exception.
Your date Paul was a bit older than you, unemployed at the moment and looking for a new relationship after just leaving his ex. He met up with you at this fancy restaurant you have never been to and has so far criticized everything about you.
“Why would you order seafood?” Paul sneers, looking down at your dish. “It’s gonna make your breath smell and I don’t want to have to deal with that later.”
You’re shocked at how you’re able to keep your face neutral, at least long enough to cough out some excuse that you needed to use the restroom. You grab your purse and your phone, excusing yourself before speed walking over to the bathroom. Once safely inside, you open your phone but pause directly afterwards.
Who were you supposed to call?
You were still fairly new to the city, your best friend still lives back home, college friends were either out with their partners or out at a bar, there didn’t seem like anyone could come to your rescue. You started to think through excuses to make to Paul but fall flat.
Then, you do something you shouldn’t. You call him.
Matt was just settling into his short break from the NHL. Granted he hasn’t played a ton of games, he still reveled in a break from the grueling schedule of hockey life in general. He knew he was due back to the rangers in less than a week but for now he was content in catching up on some reading and relaxing.
Just as he’s settled into his couch, fantasy novel in hand, his phone goes off. He looks down, spotting your contact flashing on his screen and he sighs quietly. He remembers you mentioning a date for today but he can’t remember much past that.
You and Matt have been friends for about a year now and Matt has had a crush on you for even longer than that. Damn near since he got drafted to the Rangers back in 2020. You had done some on and off work for the Rangers for a while now, a side hustle job that Matt wished was your full time one so he could see you more often.
You were there the day he was drafted, stepping in for media/photos for the day and he had beat himself up for years following for not getting your number that day. When he saw you during his NHL debut it felt like fate was on his side and he made sure to introduce himself better this time.
You’ve been close friends ever since but that only made Matt’s crush on you grow stronger. He always tried to play it off but time and time again of saving you, protecting you, was hurting his heart more and more. He promised he’d always be there for you but at what cost? His heart?
Still, he picks up anyway.
“Hello?”
Your heart floods in relief at Matt’s familiar voice, a jump of butterflies adding to the mixture as well.
“Oh thank god,” you release in a breath. “I really need your help.”
Matt’s heart clenches at your words and he can’t help the way he’s already standing from his seat, walking over to where he keeps his keys.
“This guy I’m on a date with is a total creep and now that I think about it I left my drink uncovered just now and I’m scared and he keeps making weird comments and-”
“I’m on my way,” Matt interjects, anger flaring his words and you visibly relax at his response.
You hang up the phone, shooting Matt a text with the address you were at and he tells you he’ll only be five minutes. You make your way back to the table where Paul is clearly unamused.
“What? You have an emergency? You suddenly need to leave right this minute?” he asks sarcastically and you shake your head.
“No I just-” you start but he’s quick to cut you off.
“You know, a decent person would just tell someone that the date isn’t going well instead of making excuses. This is the worst date I’ve ever been on.”
“Excuse me?” you snap, anger rising in your chest. You had been nothing but kind and polite this entire time and all he’s done is rip into you and you were done playing the sweet and demure girl.
“Firstly, you pick this horrible restaurant. Then, you catfish me, lying about your weight and showing up looking like you just rolled out of bed. God and your personality! You-”
His rant sends you into a spiral that causes you to freeze, unable to react in any way. Your brain blocks out his next words, not sure what to do next when the decision is taken out of your hands. You watch as someone steps up, grabbing Paul by the shirt and hauling him up from his chair.
The minute Matt steps into the restaurant he spots you, your posture stiff and unwelcoming, something that sets him on edge instantly. He starts to walk over, his long strides making short work of the distance but when he hears your date's words it takes all of him not to start sprinting at him.
“You are such an obnoxious little-“ Paul continues but Matt has him by the collar of his shirt and is pulling him out of his seat before he can finish the words.
“Don’t you ever,” Matt’s voice snaps you out of your state and you stare as he pushes Paul backwards, effectively blocking him from you. “Speak to her or fuck even look at her again, or it will be the last thing you do.”
Matt is breathing heavily like he just completed a 3 minute shift on the ice and is still staring down his opponent. He’s trying to tamp down his anger but he never realized what people meant about seeing red until this moment. This rat faced looking dick was saying these things to you? Oh Matt was gonna kill him.
The restaurant is deafeningly silent after Matt’s words and you watch as Paul analyzes the situation before holding his hands up in surrender. Matt stares him down for another moment or two before turning towards you.
Matt wants nothing more than to turn and lunge at Paul and beat him senseless but he knows you and your safety are the priority. He grabs your purse and jacket before taking your hand in his other free one and pulling you out of the restaurant.
Matt drags you down the block before you finally pull him to a stop, the intensity of the moment still thrumming in your veins. Matt turns to face you, waiting for you to do or say something and you take a deep breath, running a hand through your hair. His heart leaps looking at you, wanting to pull you into his chest and hold you close so you know you’re safe but wanting to give you space to process what just happened.
“Fuck darling you’re shaking,” Matt says finally and when you look at him you realize the adrenaline mixed with the cold February weather has you shaking like a leaf. He steps forward, wrapping you up in your jacket and his proximity makes you finally take a breath of relief.
“Thank you for helping me,” you murmur quietly. Matt’s heart pounds at the words, a mix of anger, jealousy, and sadness rushing around inside of him.
Matt lets out a heavy sigh and steps back with a curt nod of his head. His warmth leaves and you’re shivering again causing you to frown.
“I’m glad you’re okay,” he says, “Let’s get you home.”
It’s the only thing he can say at the moment, his heart and mind in turmoil. He would do anything to protect you, he knew that truth for the rest of his life. But he hates that that’s all he is to you. A protector. He needed it to stop before his heart gave out. He turns away from you and you can’t help but step back up next to him, wrapping your hands around his arm as he starts to walk.
Matt wants to shake you off but the feeling of you next to him settles his heart in an instant and he steps closer to you as you make your way back to your apartment. The journey is short and your heart seems to have settled almost to a normal rhythm now that you’re home safe with Matt next to you.
When you get to your door you unlock it and let Matt in without a word. He follows you slowly into the kitchen where you pour yourself a glass of water and just as you’re about to offer something to Matt as well, he starts to speak.
“I should go,” he mutters awkwardly and you frown at his words.
Matt knew that if he stayed here, comforted you, went as far as staying the night, the pattern would continue and his heart would stay stuck in this endless loop of hope and heartbreak. He had to get out now for the best. Even when everything else in him was screaming at him to stay.
“Please stay?”
“Why?” he cuts you off, stepping closer with an intensity that wasn’t there before.
“Why?” you repeat, confused by his question.
“I promised to keep you safe, and I kept my promise,” he snaps and your face twists to confusion. “I’m done here.”
Your heart splinters at each word, falling apart at the seams as he talks. Tears threaten to spill over, you watch as Matt takes in your expression, something unfamiliar flickering over his features before he turns away.
Matt can feel that each movement in his body is beyond forced. He has to tell himself to turn, to take a step, take another step, not look back at you and so on. He can’t handle it.
“Excuse me?” you snap and he pauses. “I’m not done with you.”
You march over to him, grabbing his arm and pulling him to face you. He towers over you, his six foot nine inch frame should be intimidating but right now it’s just frustrating. He stands in front of you, motionless, his eyes finding purchase on something behind you.
“Look at me,” you demand and his eyes flicker for a moment and you repeat yourself. Finally his chocolate brown eyes land on you and you instinctively take a breath.
“You may think you’re keeping me safe and that you’ve done your job as my protector or whatever so now you get to leave,” you start and Matt stares at you with a blank expression. “But I only ever feel safe when you’re around.”
“What?” he asks, shell shocked by your words.
“I need you Matt,” you tell him quietly. “I need you here. I need you to keep me safe. I need you to help me I just, I fucking need you.”
The look in your eyes is so vulnerable, so intense Matt can’t look away. He knows the underlying meaning to your words but he’s too scared to take the leap. He doesn’t want to be wrong. He can’t ruin this.
“Matt,” you say, breaking his train of thought. “My love, you’re all I want.”
That’s all Matt needs to hear before he’s finally stepping up to you, wrapping you up in his arms and hauling you to him so you’re face to face. His lips meet yours in a desperate kiss that has warmth spilling throughout you.
Matt felt like he was flying. He knew he was always going to protect you, take care of you, keep you safe, love you. He never realized you depended on that truth as much as he depended on living it out. He was nothing if you weren’t safe.
“I love you,” you whimper out quietly when you break apart.
“I love you,” he responds, pressing his forehead against yours. “I’m here. I’m not going anywhere.”
His promise is everything to the two of you and your heart settles gently in his hands, him handing over his as well.

Hi I hope this isn't a dumb question but I'm a new Stars fan (This is actually my first time watching the hockey season) and I was wondering what the "We're not going home" phase is from and why did some people here got emotional when Khudobin said it during our home game on Tuesday
hi!!! there are no dumb questions!!!! the phrase came out of the 2020 bubble playoffs which, wild as it is to realize, were nearly five years ago 😭 so even if you'd been watching for a couple seasons it's the kind of thing that you might've missed anyway!!!!!
technically (& i didn't even fully remember this!) the stars using 'we're not going home' as a rallying cry in the bubble didn't even originate with dobby!!! joel kiviranta said it first, after the stars beat colorado in game seven of the second round thanks to his overtime game-winning hat-trick goal.
the stars' player of the game token at the time was a chain with a big dallas logo in it; a long-haired roope rightfully handed it over to kivi, the room called for him to give a speech, and in response kivi said, 'fuckin' right. we're not going home!'
it became associated with dobby when he was given the player of the game token after the stars beat vegas in game five of the WCF, and succinctly said, 'WE'RE NOT GOING HOME!' before putting the chain on.
all the love to kivi but dobby just said it with a little more panache!! he'd presumably had more time to think on how he wanted to use the phrase!!! also, as you may or may not know, espn+ had a series called quest for the stanley cup for a couple of seasons (it looks like 2023 was the last, maybe because the amazon documentary series kind of took over last season? who knows) & the title of the fourth episode was 'we're not going home' & featured dobby's use of the phrase as a closer to its coverage of that series, which i think helped cement it as dobby's in general hockey media. sorry kivi. we will always have 'joel fucking kiviranta' though!
anyway. all that to say, it was very nostalgic to hear dobby say it on tuesday!!!!!! it's such a Bubble Playoffs Phrase because it just .......... wouldn't really make sense as a rallying cry any other year. eliminated teams in 2020 left the bubble pretty immediately after getting eliminated so everyone could go home & go back to quarantining and waiting to hear what the league's plan was to return to play for the next season.
obviously most of the time, getting to go home during the playoffs is a good thing!! it's part of why teams want home ice advantage so much!!!
2020 flipped everything on its head though & turned being stuck in a hotel in edmonton for that much longer into a good thing. 'we're not going home' essentially just meant 'we're moving on to the next round' but it sounds so much cooler. dobby saying it on tuesday didn't literally mean 'we're not going home' so much as it meant 'we're moving on,' except that he was a game early so once more: can he please come back on saturday?? for the vibes???
i really wish i could easily put footnotes into a tumblr post but here are some sources:
rmnb put out an article about dobby saying 'we're not going home!' because andrej sekera referred to him as the russian machine, which is ovi's nickname. this was super useful in sourcing the vidoes of kivi & dobby saying the phrase from the stars twitter so shoutout to them.
espn did a recap article about the 'we're not going home' episode of quest for the stanley cup, which is kind of fun as an artifact now because pete was vegas' coach when dallas beat them! which i Knew but had like. kind of forgotten. 'Apparently DeBoer greeted every Stars player with "go win it" after they eliminated Vegas in the Western Conference finals.' pete can you somehow bring this energy back but in the locker room this time & with some extra juice. please pete i'm begging.
#replies#hockey#stars#dallas stars#anton khudobin#joel kiviranta#i hope this explanation helps!!!! i tried to be thorough#doing my full 'put this post in the tags' tagging because as i realized the passage of time has done its thing & 2020 was 5 years ago#so this might all be new info for some stars fans in these playoffs!#also. sorry to cite wikipedia when i first mentioned the bubble playoffs i didn't know where else to get a succinct explanation 😔#long-haired roope got a shoutout because i miss long haired roope#however i had the self restraint to not point out in the body of this that baby black ace delly is in both kivi & dobby's videos!!!

i see people i follow on weibo talk about the supposed skiing reality show xz and wyb should have been a part of. this is old news and i remember hearing this rumor then. it’s coming up now for some reason but everything is basically hearsay. i was gonna ignore it but since this is cpn archaeology, i wanna comment. because i find that some cpns get warped when shared again and i don’t want newer fans getting the wrong idea.
to start — yes. this show is a real one and it’s called WINTER SKI HOUSE. it premiered on IQIYI in 2021. there are five celebrities in this house and it’s basically a reality show. i don’t know where people are getting the idea that this was made for xz and wyb. it’s not. the show was made in line with the Beijing winter olympics in 2022. the melon posts back in 2020 ( p2 and p3 below ) did not even mention xz and wyb — so i believe this was more of news in the cpf circle.
i guess what fueled the fire was the poster they used. (p1) it’s two dudes. the one in green could easily be yibo. their goggles one in red and one in green. the northern lights. skiing, which they hinted they both loved. from what i can recall, the consensus at the time was IQIYI trying to bait cpfs. the elements in this poster are so easy to interpret in a cpn way.

but realistically it wasn’t believable at the time. if we’re talking about the war between these platforms. xz was almost tencent exclusive. yibo was friendly with tencent but ended up signing with youku. so iqiyi was their last choice to show up.
i’m seeing “new” information being passed around like how this show is supposedly going to different countries. how wyb was first invited but insisted to take xz. how everything was shot already but didn’t air. blah blah blah. there is no concrete evidence of that. so take this bit as fan fiction only. i’m a believer that any cpn has it’s own merit but for stuff like this, if they did have a chance at this show or if it was filmed— i think that answer is black and white. this time. it’s a no. a melon at best. a melon within the fandom. 🍉
i feel for everyone who feels sad that this didn’t push through for them. but i’m a firm believer that things happen for a reason. we all know what happened in 2020, and even if that wasn’t an issue, the two of them being on the same show is not gonna be an easy conversation. we know they want to ski together. i think it already happened for them. in private. in their own time where they can do what they want. no scripts and cameras. no toxic fans instigating fights for every episode. just them. and as a cpf, that’s ultimately what i wish for them. 🫶🏼

Sims In Bloom: Generation 2 Pt. 160 (Blast From the Past)
Felix pulled back anxiously as the blonde woman read his rights, a righteous anger creasing her dark brows. "Last I saw you, you floated up to me on my wedding day and begged me to run from my husband to join you as a ghost!"
"You what?" Lilith looked between them with a nervous smile.
"I..." Felix stammered. "I was still processing everything, Lil. I've had more than enough time to let go; it's been a century and a half."
"At least we hope so," she lamented, remembering they were here without Emit. She turned to the angry woman she suspected was her great-great-grandmother, Maude Alcorn Ruggbyrne. "Ma'am, do you know what day it is?"
The blonde cocked her head sideways. "July 13, 1920, of course! How don't you know that? Are you both dead?"
Felix reeled. "July 13th? You're certain?"
Maude pointed to a newspaper strewn across a nearby bench. "That's the paper I write for. Today's edition."
"We're a day early," he said to Lilith.
She frowned. "I must've set the wrong date on the device after we jumped from January 13th, 2020."
"What in blazes are you two talking about?" cried the blonde. "Felix, are you dead or not? And who in Watcher's name is she with all those nails in her face?!"
Felix and Lilith glanced helplessly between themselves. They weren't supposed to do anything that might change history, and they weren't supposed to tell anyone who they were, either. But Felix couldn't exactly lie to someone who knew beyond a doubt who he was. "They're piercings. Maude, and her name is Lilith Pleasant. She's my girlfriend."
"Your girlfriend!" she cried. "You...you were dead!"
"I was! For almost a century and a half," he said, leading the three of them to a nearby bench. "But a few years ago...In the future, I...I was still a ghost, and I made some friends who cooked up some ambrosia for me. You know how much I wished I could live again. Where I came from, Britechester looks pretty much the same as now, but it's been a long, long time."
"That old wives' tale about fish cakes is real?" He nodded, and Maude's face softened. "Why are you back here?"
"Lilith and I are helping a friend catch a time thief, but we overshot our landing by about 24 hours."
Maude looked at them as though they had two heads. "Felix, are you telling me tall tales? You sound like they just rolled you out of the asylum!"
"I promise it's not like that," he vowed. "But everything we tell you, we need to you to promise never to tell another soul."
"I'm a reporter, Felix! Telling the world the truth is my job."
"The world isn't ready for this. I'm not sure you're ready for this..."
"Spill it," she demanded. "Convince me your painted jumpsuits weren't issued by a psychiatric ward!"
"Could we go somewhere more private to talk? Maybe find a change of clothes so we don't stick out too much?"
Maude thought for a moment, studying Lilith with a discerning glare. "You're sure we can trust her? She looks spiky."
Felix laughed. "She's a lot like you."
Backhanded compliment or not, Maude appreciated the thought, studying Lilith with keen interest. "Berend's in Komorebi trying to become the first sim to scale the mountain, and Bruno's with his governess. I think she could fit into some of my roomier skirts."
Lilith laughed, unfazed. "She's not like me. She's more like Angela!"
"And who's Angela? Another girlfriend?"
Felix shook his head. "No, she's your great-great-granddaughter. And so's Lilith."
Maude's stunned expression remained until they'd made it to her two-storey home in Britechester. She lived here with her husband and three-year-old-son, but the elegant rooms were empty of voices when they entered.
Maude quickly found some clothes for Lilith to change into. "That hat hides the metal on your face quite nicely," she enthused.
Lilith forced a smile. None of the clothes she was wearing were her style, and she hated tucking her bright red hair under a hat. But she and Felix were stuck here waiting for Emit and the time thief to arrive the next day. She had to make the best of this.
Despite the rules they were supposed to follow, Felix and Lilith told Maude almost everything - about the ambrosia, about falling in love and Maude's connection to Lil's family tree. They showed her the time travelling device, and explained their mission to prevent a time thief from changing too much about the future.
But they didn't mention the young Landgraab behind the device - even in 1920, the name was too well known, and they'd promised Heather and Conrad they'd help protect him.
Maude listened intently, sitting before a portrait with her husband and young son - Lilith's ancestor, Bruno Ruggbyrne. "I never met my great-grandfather," said Lilith, but my grandmother Coral used to tell us he was the biggest charmer you'd ever meet."
"That sounds like Bruno." Maude smiled intently as she glanced at the portrait. "But Felix has been around a long time. It's a bit strange he's never found another soulmate except my own kin."
Lilith shook her head. "I think it makes sense. If he married you, my sister and I would have never been born. Bruno would have never been born."
Maude's face fell. "So this was meant to be? I was always supposed to be with Berend and you were supposed to live happily ever after with a girl with piercings in her face?"
"Lil's beautiful, Maude. She's your kin, after all."
"I think...you really love her," Maude said, rapidly processing this new information.
"I do. As much as you love Berend. Maybe more."
Maude smiled proudly. "My boss wanted me to quit the Times when Bruno came along, but Berend marched right downtown to insist I keep reporting to show our son what a hard worker looks like. When the boss promised to let me keep my job, Berend told him I'd take his job one day, too."
Felix was well aware of the future and he knew this was true, but he refrained from mentioning it. As long as things stayed the same, he didn't need to tell Maude what she would accomplish in her life. "I know I wasn't happy for you before, but a lot can change in a hundred-fifty years. I think you and Berend truly were meant to be."
"And I think Felix was always meant for me," said Lilith. "Before I met him I was stuck in a cycle dating an endless stream of losers and dreamers who didn't really care about me, but Felix showed me what it was to be really loved."
The corners of Maude's mouth turned upward. "Felix was always a good man. He let me pursue my career and didn't rush us into marriage, and I appreciated him for it every day...until the day he died on me. It's hard to overstate how important it is for a woman to be seen on the arm of a man to survive in this world, and after Felix' death, Berend offered opportunity. And I do love him, Felix. I know you said I never could as much I as I loved you."
"Maude, I was wrong. I'm sorry I tried to put you on the spot that day," said Felix. "You deserved better and you deserve this life. This beautiful house and your beautiful family suits you better than even I could have done."
She laughed. "You think you can date my great-great-granddaughter with that attitude? I know you, Felix. You were the best man I knew. I can see you haven't changed much, but I don't know you anymore. I don't know anything about this world you say you came from, with time travelers and computers and websites and eyeball phones, or whatever you called it. I don't know what a podcast is and my editor never puts my stories on the front page. Just his own tripe with spelling mistakes. A story like this could make my career overnight."
"If you tell anyone, you'll change the future in ways no one could possibly know," Lilith pressed. "Simanity doesn't figure out time travel until Emit appears in 2060. Even then, no one's saying much about it because it's so dangerous."
"That's why it's been so important to put the component together to catch the time thief," added Felix. "But if we get discovered here by anyone else, or you tell anyone about this, everything we've been though could be for nothing. Will you help us wait out our friend's arrival tomorrow?"
"I can't let you stay here tonight. My son and his governess will be home soon, and I don't know how to explain you to either of them, but I can help you find a room that'll let to unmarried men and women. I do need to work tonight at the Foxbury Jazz Club - why don't you come with me?"
Felix perked up at the mention of the club. "Foxbury Jazz Club was the place to see and be seen in the Roaring Twenties! I went once or twice, but never let anyone see me as a ghost."
"If you stick with Lilith tonight you shouldn't be recognized. Tonight's event's mostly out-of-towners who've come together for the Simlandia Builders' Club gala, and everyone's so well-known, they won't be looking at either of you. My editor wants me to take photos and sniff out content for the gossip page. You two could help me find a story to make up for the one I'm not allowed to tell."
Lilith, a loner at heart, didn't love the idea, but it would probably be a more interesting experience than sleeping on a park bench waiting for Emit to arrive the next morning. "I don't know any of the dances," she said sheepishly, but outgoing Felix grinned.
"I can lead."
"Berries!" said Maude with a grin. "I love the new jazz, and the Foxbury Club is heavenly!"
As they chatted, the front door opened and Maude stood, with a beaming greeting for Bruno and his governess.
"Mama!" Bruno raced into his mother's arms as the governess slipped quietly upstairs. "Mama we went park!"
"Did you have a nice time?"
"We threw rocks at pond!" Bruno laughed while he recounted his morning, looking up with curiosity when he spotted Lilith and Felix. "Who they, Mama?"
"These are friends of mine," said Maude, careful not to name either one. "They're going to work with Mama tonight to help me get a headline!"
"Mama Headline!" he celebrated, half understanding what it meant, but happy enough to join his mother in laughter.
Felix smiled at Maude with her son. He'd wanted children and a family of his own for so long, but he couldn't begrudge Maude for achieving her happy ever after. Not the way he once did.
"Motherhood suits you, Maude. Just as well as your career."
He felt Lilith's hand wrap around his own as they looked back to the portrait, and he wouldn't take for granted how their lives - or second lives - had thrived in recent years. In different timelines.
Felix knew his own happy ever after was just a proposal away. ->

Gen 1 Start | Gen 1 Summary
FUN FACT: When I was putting together the newspaper, I looked up real history on July 13, 1920 and picked the weirdest piece of real news I could find. On this day in history, the US Postal Service had to ban people sending children through the mail because enough people were actually doing it.
WCIF: Thank you @deardiaryts4 and @matchalovertrait for letting your sims stand as models for the top right photo on the newspaper! I was so, so excited to play with them, you have no idea! And they look so good in some amazing period cc pieces, like Antoinette's La Maison Blanche coat by @javitrulovesims, Flapper Fabulous by Kiara Zurk (Antoinette's headband and Lilith's '20s hairstyle), Chorus Curls by Retro Pixels (Antoinette's hairstyle), Dmitri fashion set by @happylifesims (Antonio's hat), and happylifesims' Blessan jacket with @pleyita's matte trousers (Antonio's suit and Berend's portrait outfit in different swatches).
Lilith is in happylifesims' 1920s Cloche hat and Lady Mary's Day Dress, while Maude wears the 1920s Guest Dress in the family portrait on the wall. In the scene, she's wearing another happylifesims' Cloche hat and Day Dress 03. If you get the urge to set some scenes in the past or throw a costume party, happylifesims has incredible cc from many eras that I can't recommend enough. I couldn't have done any of this without their work.
I used @beto-ae0's Imperial Dynasty posepack for the portrait of Maude, Berend, and Bruno, and Maude and Bruno are posed in the living room with Guess How Much I Love You (Part 1) by @simmerberlin. The Ruggbyrnes' house can be found on the Sims 4 Gallery by JoaoDiBarro, and the Governess was aged up to elder and can be found on the Gallery by NMinnow.
And finally, I did not create Maude. A whole plate of cookies for after Iftari goes @purplesimmer455, who knew it was Maude when she showed up last episode! She guessed that this might be Mimsy, if not Maude - and fun fact - I used a Gallery-submitted version of Mimsy called 'Mimsy Von Haunt Teen Fix' and aged her up. I thought it looked nothing like OG Mimsy, while also resembling her just enough to be a sister (and the sim is beautiful), so Gallery-user mariuopole put up a good one!
I could not have put this installment together without the combined forces of everyone mentioned in one of my longest WCIF postscripts ever. Thank you so much, everyone!

A/N: Ahh shoutout to my bff @titty-teetee for indulging me with this idea lol. I love ya >:D

October 30th, middle of somewhere, Texas.
Well, there was a house-- rickety as it was, the home stood in a clump of mesquite trees, accented with tufts of Johnsongrass, springing up through the cracks of the stone walkway and leaning against the stairs to the front porch. It had never looked darker than this night had. But even so, the jagged wood roof rose high to a second story, long windows looked like eyes with the small front door for a mouth. A steady breeze moved through the trees, shaking and whishing the long thin branches, slicing through the air. The whispering of nature speaks to you, like God to man, invoking what has been and what was to come. An unexpected thin place perhaps, the house, having not been filled for quite some time looked like it could have been haunted. Maybe a part of you wished it was. Like the walls and foundation had the ability to make up its own people within, or remembered who once lived there.
Bucky’s fingers nudged your lower back as you walked alongside him. The duffle bags zipper clinked against the fabric and you were suddenly aware of how quiet it was out here. The crisp autumn air, slowly contorted to that spikey chill of early winter lingered on your skin. So you walked closer to him for some quick warmth.
“They should be--” said Bucky, lights glowed up from the dirt road. The paleness glowed over both you and Bucky, the house, the dormant land. “There they are.” he said pausing for a moment and then continued once again.
“You had to pick the spookiest spot huh?” you said under your breath.
He shrugged as he stomped up the stairs. “I was here yesterday, I got it ready. It’s a perfect spot for a quick get away.”
“But did you have to invite company? I was looking forward to it just being you and me.”
Bucky rummaged for the keys in his pocket as a couple of car doors slammed behind you.
“‘Come on babe, Steve doesn’t have anywhere to go really.”
“I’ll start the fire!” shouted Steve.
You didn’t turn around, your eyes stayed on the shadows of Bucky’s face where his eyes should have been.
“Okay, I get that. But what about the other guy? What did you say his name was? How do you know him?”
Bucky jabbed the key with the lock, he chuckled a bit before answering. “Clark Kent, his name is Clark.”
“So you’re picking up strays now?”
“Get to know him, you’ll like him. He's a great guy, hardly a stray...”
You followed Bucky into the house slowly, he flicked on the switch flooding the living room with light. Okay, you thought, doesn’t look so bad. At least the furnishing appeared to be from within the last ten years, the walls looked newish, with sharp borders, and reasonably decorated.
“Besides, I picked you up, remember?”
You dropped your bag flat on the ground. “Hey, now. Are you trying not to get lucky while we stay here?”
Bucky continued into the house with the grocery bags. “I’ll get lucky regardless.” he cut his eyes over his shoulder back toward you. It sent another chill, this time up your inner thighs. He wasn’t lying.
“Oh god, not that stupid-”
Bucky ducked in close, the flimsy plastic mask buckled under the pressure of nuzzling your neck. You gazed into the bathroom mirror at Bucky who’s rubber Michael Myers mask was staring lifelessly back.
“I know you wanted to try something different….but….”
His hands kneaded your sides, higher he climbed over your sweater to your breasts.
“You look ridiculous…”
One hand left your nipple and began tugging at the top of your leggings.
“Shh…” he tried to stifle a laugh. “..just go with it..”
And you did, by leaning your head back against the blue denim jacket as his fingers wondered underneath your underwear.
“..let daddy have a feel.” his breathy question muffled through the mask. Slowly he began to circle your clit, mouth hanging open your hand held the top of his black gloved hand and pushed him to press harder.
“Look at yourself...how needy you get.” he whispered.
You try to peer beyond the mask, the slits for eyes but there was nothing. Only darkness met you there. Bucky brought up his hand, held it in front of the mirror and you. He split his fingers, thick wetness strung between them like webs.
“Bend over-- hold on to the sink.” he ordered, with his hands disappearing behind you. The sound of his clothes ruffling you stared back at the mirror.
Bucky stepped forward, knocking your ankles apart with his shiny black boots and yanked your pants, underwear down and gently, he tipped into you. His long length traveled against your folds sinking further inside.
Ghostly scenes are made from the smoke casting up from the flickering fire being fed from lava colored coals. The metal chair underneath you feels cool on your bottom, because even though you are sitting on a blanket the cold night air hangs around you.
Steve was ending his story. Though hardly a spooky tale, it didn’t have to be, for his tales were based on true events. Speaking of blood and gore the morbid tone grew in his voice and brought a shadow of delight in his eyes. You carefully watched him, observed his hunched over shoulders, his eyes turned to yours sometimes while he spoke but mostly stayed on the fire.
You chugged from the bottle of hard cider as Bucky ate, that stupid mask was pulled up over his brows. But Clark Kent, this stranger, sat nearly directly opposite. You moved your eyes to him ever so often while Steve told his story. One of the two thought about food on the way here, chicken, you guessed was their craving. Clark leaned back, his black jacket bunched at his waist as he rose a hand to his mouth. The crunch of the crust of fried meat did not break Steve’s momentum.
When he finished, Bucky nodded to the accuracy of the amount of soldiers, to why the only man left was brave and courageous. Clark’s eyes met yours over the flames, his skin pale, the wavy dark curls framed his face. He smiled at you as he chewed. You noticed it then, unsure why you wouldn’t have before, he held the grey cooked bone between his fingers and stuck the end in his mouth. You blinked, maybe you were seeing things -- this was your sixth cider for the night.
“Are you eating the bones?” you asked.
Clark continued to gnaw on it till it broke off in his mouth. “Waste not want not,” he said through a mouthful.
He continued to stare back at you and at the same time a chill coursed its way down your spine. Shivering in the gentle breeze the urge to go to the bathroom shot through you.
“I’ll be right back,” and excused yourself from the fire.
Had to be a bit past ten p.m., though this was supposed to be a pleasant fall break, it didn’t truly feel that way. Not with two extra guests. You tried to not feel so desperate to be alone with Bucky. You finished washing your hands and opened the bathroom door. In the dark, lit up by the light of the bathroom a figure stood. You jumped so hard, grasping at your sweater, bent over grabbing your waist, the boogeyman mask simply stared back at you without moving.
“Bucky I swear to -- why would you? -- take that stupid thing off-” and you reached for the mask but his hand grabbed your wrist. Slowly he walked over the threshold, leaned over and flicked off the light.
“Oh no!” you feigned a plea. “Seriously..--help..help.” you giggled through another.
The door slammed behind him trapping the dark inside. He pulled you close at first, residing to his strength, you let him touch, grab, pluck at your body. Backing you back up against the sink the rubber mask pushed against your neck, smiling in the dark you could hear him attempting to kiss you there.
His hands ran around the waist of your leggings, one big hand gripped and caressed your ass, slipped toward your split and rubbed your asshole. You jumped again, this time wrapping your arms around his neck. Different, he had never done such a thing before, but you went with it.
His finger crawled passed it, his other hand pushed down the front of your legging and circled your clit.
“..help...a big bad man...help..” you chuckled under a moan.
He jerked you away suddenly, pulled down your leggings and underwear, with a hand on your shoulder he forced you to bend over. The room filled with the sound of a smack to your back side.
“Bucky!”
The stinging lingered but white hot pain replaced it with another hit from his gloved hand.
“Okay!” you rushed out. Maybe he was just being kinky, perhaps your pretending might have put him out of the mood.
He hit you again making you grip the lip of the sink harder. “I’m sorry daddy..” you hissed.
He was back behind you again, his whole body pressed against you, scratching at the skin of your ass he plunged two thick fingers into your entrance. Heavy breathing billowed from under the mask, hot air pooled over your shoulder and around the back of your neck. The weight of him bent you forward. He pulled out his fingers from within you and began to prod with something warmer, and far thicker at your slit as his other hand tangled with your fingers on the sink.
And he pushed in, “..damn!” you moaned.
Jerky, irregular thrusts stretched you more than what you remembered. “Bucky!” you gasped, hoping he would slow the pace. But the other hand grabbed for your throat, squeezed tight and pumped you harder.
“Daddy, please..” you half begged, half needingly whimpered.
That changed his stroke, and soon the ache descended into bliss.
“Fuck...daddy…”
His hand on yours returned to your clit, pushing hard and swiping steadily, your knees nearly buckled. Thicker for sure, veiny too, you thought, god what the loss of one sensory can do on a drunk mind. Your body bucked back against him as you rode out the orgasm. He squeezed harder, hissing and groaning under the mask you could nearly imagine him as someone else. And when he stilled inside of you, even his hiccups of pleasure could be thought of another. You shook the fantasy away as he stepped back.
Before you could even turn around, the door opened, your eyes shot to his brown boots and then up to his back. And he left you there.
You stuffed pieces of a premade popcorn ball into your mouth. Bucky sat there weaving a tale of spirits walking through walls, of ancient gods embedded into objects best left to rest where they laid. Still buzzing hard you stayed captivated by his tone. It was something about the secretive way his voice projected that kept you staring at him, wondering if it could be true, but knew it mustn’t.
It was still cool out, the shabby blanket thrown over your sore legs did little to keep the wind out. But it made for a good catcher, which is what you were doing toward the end of his story. Picking up pieces of fallen popcorn, and pizza flavored chip crumbs somehow made it to your mouth despite the only source of light was a waning fire.
“So if you ever hear your name called..don’t ever answer back, unless you can see it’s a actually living person.” Bucky finished and glanced over at you proudly.
“I hate that story.” you slurred your words a bit and shook out the blanket on your lap. “I hope you’re happy, you have to walk me everywhere until we return home.”
You picked up the last bottle off the ground and drank the last bit. The clash of flavors swirled on your tongue leaving a bitter after taste.
“Babe do you have any gum?”
“There’s a pack in the middle console--” Steve spoke up. “Back there in the truck..” he said hooking his thumb over his shoulder.
You rolled your eyes over in Steve’s direction. A smug grin, and a wrinkle on the side of one eye simply gazed back at you.
“You’re fine,” he said finally. “You’ve got us here...nothings gunna get you.” he reminded smoothly.
And the moment was quiet, poised on the end of the gentle breeze blowing through the heat of the fire. The rustle of sleeping honeysuckle vines, somewhere near the old rotted out shack Steve’s truck sat was the only identifiable sound for a few seconds.
“Fine.” you huffed and stood up to get that gum.
You walked down the dirt path the short way from the front of the house where Bucky, Steve and Clark sat. The tin roofing of the old shed rocked, and slapped against itself the closer you got. And of course Steve parked on the other side, out of the sight of the house and fire. But you walked quickly, or rather, as fast as two aching legs could in the cool weather.
The knocking sound only got heavier, louder as you squinted in the dark toward the blackest corner of the area. Steve’s truck was within a few footsteps and you batted away any imaginings of spooky phantoms. You slipped passed the door, your hand flipped up the middle console and snagged up the pack of gum before slamming the door back. And when you turned around, just off from where you had previously walked was a figure. The white, deathly pale mask was the only part you could really see.
“Fuck!” you shouted, dropping the pack of gum. “Bucky!” you hissed and reached back down to retrieve it.
The yellow fire light was at his back when he moved forward toward you.
“Okay...no more mask!”
You stuffed the gum under your arms and went to yank at the mask. But he caught your arm and squeezed down like a vice grip. “Hey--easy there..” you said quietly.
He pulled you toward the shed, but just outside of it, along the rotten wall of it a few old deep freezers were lined up against it collecting weeds, and dust.
“Oh no, Bucky..those look super dirty..” you tried to jerk your arm away but he only pulled you harder. “...Really? You’re this committed to fucking in that mask?”
This time your hand grabbed enough of the back of the mask to rip it fully up over his head. At that same moment you were jerked forward between the rusty freezer and him. Your eyes now bulging and fighting for light to correct what you were seeing in the dark stared up at him. You blinked several times once more before you realized the angular features did not belong to Bucky. Thick curly hair, messy all over haloed around his face, and of course, you weren’t sure why you hadn’t noticed before, he was taller. It was Clark.
You made to quickly move away from him but he snapped you back, “Get off me!” Your voice shook, and so did your body.
“Bucky’s right over there...all I have to do is scr--”
The air whipped out of your lungs so fast as Clark slammed his palm over your mouth and rushed your back down on to the freezer.
“I’ve been waiting all night for this..” he whispered.
No amount of squirming could equal the might Clark welding against your struggling. It was like a man made of iron held you down, even when his other hand disappeared between your legs, the tearing of your legging, your underwear did not loosen his hold. And then the unfolding of his clothes paired with the gentle brushing of the vines against wood near your head sent you into hysterical kicking. Your legs on either side of him squeezed, and jerked to no avail.
“-don’t act so innocent. You’ve already fucked two different men tonight.”
You stopped kicking, eyes wide above his hand you glowered at him through the dark. “You won’t mind..will you?”
Shaking your head you held your breath. The thick end of his cock began to push past your folds.
“Slut.”
He lowered his forehead on to yours, what you imagined was him staring back down at you but could see only the tip of his nose. A shuddering breath pulled through your nose as he sank further to his balls. “You’re wet from it still…”
He started snapping into you, hard and fast, slapping his lust into your unwilling cunt. Clark’s hand slipped to your chin, his lips hovering above yours.
“Are you going to call me daddy too?” he asked, with his breath steadily huffing into your mouth. “..Say it for me baby..”
“Let me hear that little desperate voice..” He kissed you, slipping his tongue along the inside of your lower lip and then against your face as you turned your head. “Come on..” And then he started jabbing, a feral thumping into you. Sharp pains up your thighs shot further into your core. You denied him and he lowered his head to your neck. He sucked on your skin, flicked his tongue around and inside your ear. “Say it,” he whispered.
You whimpered in response as his teeth began to snag on the wet skin of your neck. He sucked hard, drawing out needle points of pain.
You pray to god Bucky could hear this, you’ve been gone too long certainly either Steve or him could. Clark kept nibbling, and groaning in between thrusts. When you refused once again he shoved his palm back over your mouth, the other brought your wrist up and twisted it into a bone breaking angle.
He stopped moving inside of you as his deep voice raked over clenched teeth, “What was that?” he asked. The warm palm slid down to your chin.
“..daddy.” you shivered out.
You could hear the satisfied smile in his voice. “Good..girl.” he whispered.
“That wasn’t so hard to say was it babe?”
The sound of Bucky’s voice from the darkest, most grown up side of the shed sent your eyes reeling in the dark. Clark put his hand back over your mouth and kept going.
Bucky stood at the edge of the freezer, in the dark the features of his face were smudged. A gentle hand caressed the top of your forehead.
“It’s okay, sweetheart. Let Clark finish.”
At Bucky’s words, Clark released your mouth, he rose up and held your upper arms down as he continued to fuck you roughly. Your eyes stayed on Bucky’s silhouette, high pitch whimpering up at him did not go unheard.
Bucky cupped your chin and head. “Shush,” he hushed down your sobbing face.
Another pair of hands tore at the front of your sweater. To his right, another figure stepped to your side. The figures loomed over you while your breasts chilled, and peaked in the cool night air. A deft hot hand kneaded and groped at the nearest one.
“You told us she was good….” Steve pinched your nipple hard. “She’s fucking outstanding.”
Bucky leaned over you, he grabbed for your thigh but you kicked away. Clark relinquished some leverage to pull your thigh up so Bucky could hold your ankle. “Yeah, get in there good.” Bucky’s voice rose above your strangled cries. Steve got your other leg, held it folded it in high and tight, that allowed Clark to pound you deeper.
He grinded his hips into yours burning his stiff cock into your core. His grip tightened around your arms pinning you for good below him. “Where am I going to empty my balls?” Clark demanded on a puff of air.
Tears slid down the corners of your eyes. They rolled from the darken outlines of Bucky above you to Steve at his side and then back to the man between your legs.
“..in me.” you sniffled out.
“And who are we--” Bucky asked softly.
You didn’t bother to look in the direction of his voice, Clark’s head threw back, a deep moan started in his chest as his hips kept pumping. “Say it baby..” Clark whispered.
“..daddy.” you whimpered.

Fics I Enjoyed in January - DC Comics Fic Rec List Part 2
I am still neck-deep in DC fandom this month and the fics have been so so good. Unlike last time, I am too tired to write mini summaries/reviews, so I'm going to feature my favorite quote from each fic instead.
My first DC Comics fic rec list is here!
Floor Plans by @oh-mother-of-darkness (Teen & Up, 1k, 2016) “I really didn’t want to die,” he finished. “I was kind of hoping if I laid here long enough, I would remember what that felt like.”
Losing two brothers in six months takes an emotional toll.
almost right by @bitimdrake (Teen & Up, 3k, 2020) He desperately wishes that he didn’t know what Dick’s cheekbone feels like under a gauntleted fist.
Bruce sucks in a breath, hand raising to fix the cowl. Dick flinches back.
but more with love by @danishsweethearts (Teen & Up, 3k, 2022) Dick wakes up one morning, groggy from a dream that he thinks might’ve been about the circus and also about his favourite car and also about how lonely he is, and realizes that he can’t remember what his mother’s voice sounds like anymore.
O Robin, Robin, wherefore art thou Robin?
The Mechanics of a Hug by @sohotthateveryonedied (General Audiences, 4k, 2017) “You know… that crushing sense of depression? Like,” Dick chews his lip. “It’s. A physical weight. Makes it hard to breathe?” “Yeah,” Tim says, soft. He smiles, wryly. “I sort of hoped you didn’t, though.”
“So,” Tim ventures. “It's… what, a cuddle pollen?” Bruce just shrugs. “Something like that.”
No Pain, All Gain by @sohotthateveryonedied (General Audiences, 1k, 2020) Tim’s eyes go even wider. “You stole my organs?” “Technically,” Jason chimes in, “the doctors stole your organs. We just gave them permission.”
Bruce checks Tim’s IV. “Are you in any pain? Do you need more morphine?” Tim’s pupils are so wide that only the faintest ring of blue can be seen. He watches Bruce the way a five-year-old watches cartoons. “I’m all good, B-dog. All Gucci, like we cool teens say." His words are slurred almost beyond recognition, but Tim doesn’t seem to notice or care. "I could fight Superman right now.”
The Wind Sits in the Shoulder of Your Sail by @birdchildsnest (Teen & Up, 7k, 2020) “Oh my god. Bruce. I can’t even tell if you’re serious. When everybody finally eats the rich—they’re going to eat you first.”
At least, back then, Tim had barely been a teenager. He could almost forgive his own volatility. And he’d been smart enough (scared enough?) not to tell Jack that he didn’t need him. What was his excuse now? Bruce was his dad (at least, in the legal sense), but (surprise, surprise) it turned out that Tim wasn’t any better at being a son. Or Tim and Bruce still have some things to sort through after the adoption.
I Left My Conscience On Your Front Doorstep by @dustorange (Teen & Up, 21k, 2022) He doesn’t want to be loved if being loved is like this.
"I think I'm leaving," Dick whispers. "I think I'm not coming back."
bad boys bad boys (whatcha gonna do) ♫ by @drakefeathers (Teen & Up, 20k, 2014) "They live their lives thinking they can charge through the city with the right to hurt and kill and destroy as many lives as they want. And they do it all without a shred of remorse." “But—” Damian begins, brow furrowed in confusion. “Isn’t that like you?”
a Jason and Damian as Batman and Robin AU!! featuring a bunch of graffiti, a rival dynamic duo, and Cat Jason (a cat named Jason).
The Biggest Mistake by @oh-mother-of-darkness (General Audiences, 1k, 2016) “I could ground him anyway, if it would make you feel better.” “He only said it because I called him ‘a garbage can so ineffective it actually became garbage.’”
"You know what really needs to be addressed? Bruce's truly terrible treatment of Damian." -Me, on a daily basis
been a number and a name by @wynterstars (Teen & Up, 35k, 2023) “Turns out if you just say ‘spacetime’ until people’s eyes glaze over they don’t really question anything you say. Also, somehow nobody expects me to be able to actually do enough math to explain it.”
On a field trip, Robin has a close encounter with the newest super in Metropolis, only to discover the hard way that Superboy secretly works for Lex Luthor. They agree to work together on a plan to free Superboy from Luthor’s hold, but Robin isn’t sure how far he can trust him—and his developing feelings only make things more complicated.
clean it like you mean it by @wynterstars (Teen & Up, 70k, 2024) "Wait, ugh, you're not my dead dad, right? If I'm getting a dying vision of my dead dad I want a do-over because he suuuuucked."
When Gotham's crooks have to scrub down their lairs, who do they call? Jason Todd, Gotham's first and only underworld crime scene cleaning specialist. He's spent his life dodging the Bat, but after a chance encounter he saves Robin's life. Tim Drake finds himself drawn to the conflicted rogue, and soon Jason becomes Robin's street informant. But they can only stay on opposite sides of the law for so long before something breaks.
3:16 by @wufflesvetinari (Teen & Up, 70k (WIP), 2023) “Try to decouple one thing from the other. I’m proud of you, but ice cream isn’t my grand statement about whether you’ve been good or bad today. Good things are good. Happiness is precious. Sometimes you just want caramel chocolate chip.”
The knife pushes thin along Dick’s carotid artery, cupping the indent between neck and jawline—forcing him to angle his chin. The metal is warm, pulled with execution speed from under Damian’s pillow. “Okay,” Dick says quietly, tracking the intricacies of his own heartbeat—counting the space between breaths. “Guess I did need a shave.” (With faltering steps, Dick and Damian become Batman and Robin.)
wolf-king of rome by @mysterycitrus (Not Rated, 25k, 2024) “You go after Joker, but you don’t kill him, because it’s not about the Joker dying, it’s about Bruce breaking his code for you. It’s about Bruce loving you enough to change himself for the worse. It’s about your idea of grieving.”
Jason doesn’t fear Dick Grayson. Fear itself has changed shape for him, since his return from the Pit - it tastes of dirt in his mouth, of drowning, of fire and blood and laughter, more than a tangible face. Still, he’d be stupid not to be cautious. Dick liked playing on an uneven field, and would do anything to keep him off balance, so he just had to stay focused. That’s the nature of the armistice, both waiting for the other to make a move. It’s like balancing on the head of a pin.
Declensions by @dustorange (Teen & Up, 13k, 2018) “Do not tell them your name. Do as I did to survive. I lied. I have always lied. Make one up. Do not let them have you. Say your name is…is…is…Richard Grayson. Or something. They are going to steal you; do not give them anything to steal.”
“My father,” Dick says, “worked the rope. It cut him. His hands were never clean.”
Passiontide by @bigdvmnhero (Teen & Up, 5k, 2025) Despite its faults, the day had tried to be good. He felt young, like someone's son.
On the 96th day Bruce didn't call, Dick remembered their old game. Three things he knew: 1) In three months, it would be Dick's death anniversary; 2) Bruce was still missing his check-ins; 3) Here Dick was, persisting. Imagine the things I'd survive, Dick thought distantly, if I loved Bruce less. Or: Agent 37 and his various crises of faith, on Day 277 at Spyral, Day 150, and Day -0.
the time you won your town the race by @silverwhittlingknife (Teen & Up, 4k (WIP), 2022) Tim. Tim is Dick’s. Death sharpens, clarifies these things. Who will receive the body, decide on the funeral, receive condolences, make all the decisions that matter. No one has questioned it, not even Tim’s friends. There’s a terrible clarity about death. If Dick said, let’s burn everything he owned, Alfred would do it.
He doesn’t know exactly what Tim would say. But he knows what Tim would do. Tim dies. Dick doesn’t take death for an answer. A Red Robin 12 AU.
door, opening by @cowboysorceror (Mature, 70k (WIP), 2024) Dick, with the keys to every locked door Jason has ever tried to open, tucked inside the cradle of his skull; all of that, snuffed out like a candle.
It’s barely audible, but he knows what he heard. A short, four-note whistle, chirping down – E, C#, then jumping up to A, F#, a little trill on the finish. He waits a moment, head turned slightly towards the dim shapes of storage containers between him and the ramp, eyes straining against the blackness. Long, stretching seconds. There it is again. His gloved hand, prickling with cold, closes into a fist. It’s a wood thrush. A small North American songbird that doesn’t sing at night, doesn’t live in the city. He knows what it means. It means hold, steady, not yet. It means wait for me, I’m behind you.

To Liam,
It's so strange that I just couldn't bring myself to create anything to honour the role you've played in my life. It's like I cannot allow myself to say goodbye to you, trying to push back the inevitability of it. This permanent goodbye that I don't want to speak into existence.
"Let's leave it unsaid, just one more second
If you don't say it, then it ain't true yet"
When I first 'met' you, I was newly thirteen and I saw your music video 'One Thing' on TV. I had excitedly texted my best friend at the time, gushing about five cute guys on TV that were singing, "Get out, get out, get out of my bed" which amused my friend to no extent. It was the start of a character defining moment in my life, and I didn't even know it then.
It was hard to keep up with you guys, our access to the internet was limited. Watching YouTube videos back then was a task. I would go to all lengths to do so anyway, because it felt like I had five friends who I could joke around with. That's the strangest thing. I so desperately wanted to be friends with you guys. Not date. Just friendship. Looking back at that time, I almost feel sorry for how lonely I was to depend on five guys who didn't know of my existence for friendship, but then I don't. I don't know what kind of person I would have become if I had been oblivious of your existence. Now, I have had so many friends that I have met/ talked to through you. I am not in touch with all of them, but I felt like a part of a community.
You'll never feel like you're alone
I'll make this feel like home.
You taught me to dream. For the longest time, I was adamant I would form a band myself, and be famous and meet you guys. I was so sure of it! I could never afford to buy albums, or the movies, the books even though I desperately wished to. Then, for my eighteenth birthday, I finally got my hands on your book and the This Is Us movie

It was my dream, to meet you guys one day, all of you, and have you sign this book. I would tell you how much you inspired me, helped this little girl in a little town dream of going places. Gave her hope she could make it out of there one day.
I am so grateful for that.
It's hard to think you were together as a band for only five years because it sure felt like ages back then. There was always so much... Drama! I still remember the day Zayn left the band. The best friend who had first heard my atrocious interpretation of your lyrics, she was the one who broke the news to me. My chapattis and okra curry seemed extra salty that day. My family was surprised. What is she crying for? I would tell them and they would try to keep from laughing. It felt like the world had ended, but everything carried on as usual.
Life went on, I begrudgingly decided against pursuing a career in music. It's so funny, isn't it? You guys were living the dream and consequently taught me how to dream. And now, you've left us because of it and I'm still here because I didn't pursue it (not saying I would have become as famous as you, or famous at all). I got into medical school. By that time, you were already three years deep into your 'hiatus'. I would hear about you, now and then. Maybe listen to a single or two. Loved Strip That Down. Loved your interviews. Loved For You. Was waiting for an album.
I kind of lost touch with the 1D fandom and you. In the blink of an eye, 2020 was here. I got back to the fandom right in time for the 1D 10 years anniversary. I was sure it wouldn't have any effect on me. I was grown up now. Then I bawled my eyes out to Fireproof and I realised I was still a sucker, and I would always be.
Nobody knows you, baby, the way I do
It's been so long, it's been so long
We must be fireproof
Then I realised. It wasn't the same anymore. When I left, people were excited about everyone's solo careers. Five times the fun, right? Everything had... Shifted. There were camps and groups and, it just wasn't actually the same. I was horrified. Blogs dedicated to hate certain members, the word 'flopped' being used incessantly when it came to them. And bearing the brunt of the most of it was, you.
I don't want to go back and rehash it all, it's too painful, but you know what? I would have that time back in an instant if it meant you were still out there. Alive. When the possibility of this happening was so damn preposterous, not even the craziest fanfiction could have a plot line like this.
I don't want to say I felt sorry for you, because that makes you seem small. You had talked about your struggles, but you had also gotten better. I heard Heart Meet Break and I heard Weekend. They sound so ominous right now.
Heart meet break, lips meet drink
Rock meets bottom, to the bottom I sink.
Fuck.
I come alive on the weekend
I might die on the weekend
Another line for my demons.
All the while, facing vitriol that was frankly alarming. There was nothing you could say or do that wasn't criticised or scrutinized. I felt helpless but I was determined, once again that the tide would turn. That people would see you for the kind soul that you really are.
Let me tell you, LP1 was damn good! I hope you're proud of that album, wherever you are, because you smashed it! And your First Time EP? Still mad that Slow wasn't on your main album, like who made that decision? I am sorry people didn't pay more attention to your music, because it is amazing! Your voice, of course. That note in Bedroom Floor-you aren't real, you know?
And your videos during the lockdown? And your LP shows? You kept us entertained and happy. We loved watching you do the thing you love the most.
Oh, Liam. Then I gradually drifted apart again. I wasn't there when you came out saying you had been sober. I wasn't aware it had gotten worse. I don't know why, but this October, I listened to your music for the first time in a long while. It's so strange. Just a few days later-
I still can't believe it, Liam. I still can't believe you have left us. I can't believe that this is the end, this is how you had to go. With the world still against you. You didn't get your chance at redemption, you didn't get your chance to prove to everyone how amazing you were! You had so much love left to give. Everyone talked about how you checked up on them frequently. I am sorry there was no one to do that for you. I am sorry for the way you were treated. I am sorry you didn't get the help you needed, I am sorry that we can't enjoy more of your songs, your voice, your paintings and most of all, that laugh where your eyes all crinkle up, and your body physically rocks with it, and for a moment you become the embodiment of sunshine.
You were just a boy, who had one working kidney and the other that miraculously started working. You were just a boy that had a fear of spoons and loved dinosaurs. You were just a boy who apparently couldn't read but wrote so many songs for One Direction that we hold close to our heart. You were just a boy who warned people against snake habitats, and dropped tubs of pasta on your floor. You were just a boy who is loved by so many, whose loss will weigh heavy on our hearts for the rest of our lives.
I'll never forget you. And I promise, I will make all my dreams come true. Maybe not the singing part, but the rest. Hope you're happy, Leeyum. I hope they're treating you better than we did.
How can I forget someone
Who gave me so much to remember?
With love, always
Rini

Untitled, 2025 (GD x OFC) Chapter 6: Calls

Pairing: G-Dragon/Kwon Jiyong x OFC Genre/Warnings: Slow Burn, Tour Life, fluffyfluff, yearning, eventual smut, 2014 ==> 2020 ==> 2025.
It’s 2025 and the King of K-Pop is back. He and his music are everywhere. On the charts, all over social media and smack in the middle of Maddie’s work schedule. Sometimes she still can’t believe this is her actual job now - documenting the chaos behind the scenes and trying to make sure no one on his team gets lost, bruised or accidentally starts a viral scandal.
What’s even harder to believe? That she and Jiyong met five years ago. Actually… scratch that. They met ten years ago too. Time has a weird sense of humor like that and things get blurry when you’re busy, nostalgic, and maybe just a little bit smitten. Also, life throws more daisies your way than you’d expect.
Part 1 2 3 4 5
More on AO3 -----------------------------------------
February 2020
His face is so close to the camera that I start chuckling. “Why is it so dark on your side? I can hardly see you.” I glance at my own screen, which I’ve stacked against a bag of rice and a couple of books and yeah... fair. Didn’t even think about lighting when I picked up. “Aesthetic darkness. Adds to the drama…” He laughs quietly, his lips curling up at the corners. I catch myself just looking at him, soft light flickering on the edge of his cheekbone, then reach for the light switch. When the light comes on and he sees me better, his smile widens and mine does too. Can’t help it. I straighten up and try to remember why we’re here.
“Okay. So. Curry. We’re having curry. What… where do we start?” “I have absolutely no idea. I haven’t cooked anything in years.” “Great. No, this is a very promising venture then.”
We both know it doesn’t matter. The cooking isn’t the point.
There’s no lockdown in place yet, but Covid already has us all wrapped up tight. I haven’t left the apartment in a week. Everyone is working from home, groceries are delivered, the walls feel like they’re leaning in. I was seriously about to lose it when Jiyong randomly asked in our group chat if anyone wanted to cook together. Online. I didn’t expect it from him. Which he admitted too. Turns out I’m not the only one going a little stir crazy.
So we cook rice. Fry meat and veggies. Try to make sauce. He burns something because he’s too busy pulling faces at the camera to entertain me. I smear turmeric across my cheek without noticing and he grins like he’s just seen the best thing all week. “You’ve got a little… no, more… yeah, now it’s worse. Just leave it. It’s a look.”
When I finally taste the sauce, I’m a little let down. That was a lot of effort for something that’s just… fine. “You don’t look so happy…” “Well… it’s alright. Just not great.” He tries his, makes a heroic attempt at pretending it’s good, then drops his shoulders and groans at the camera. “Idol boy never learned to cook?” He’s laughing now, full-on turning to the screen. “Don’t call me that. You know I hate it.” “That’s exactly why I do it.”
We’re both grinning. Because we know what this is. It’s flirting. Obvious, maybe. But neither of us minds. “I wish we could actually eat together. This sucks…” he says, finally, voice softer now. I pout and nod. “Yeah. It does.”
Still, we stay on the call. Eat together anyway. Laugh about who chews louder. Somehow we end up brushing our teeth in sync, both holding our phones up in the bathroom like it’s the most normal thing in the world. It’s weird. But weird in a good way. Intimate, even.
When we say good night, there’s a little pause. Like neither of us quite knows how to end it. Not ready yet to say we should do this again. Even though I think we both want to. I go to bed with butterflies anyway. I really need this pandemic to get under control soon. Because I’m starting to think I might actually want to kiss that stupid face of his.
February 2025
I’m in bed when he calls. A video call. For a second I think about not answering, but then I wonder why and pick up. Suddenly I’m very aware of my bare face, the pimple patch on my cheek and my already unraveling top bun. But he looks like he’s been in bed too, the room around him dark. He’s smiling. “Is this a mistake?” I ask. “Well hello to you too.” “Butt dial?” He chuckles. “When was the last time you butt dialed anyone? Phones don’t even have buttons anymore.” Fair. “You look sleepy.” he says and I suck in my lower lip a little in frustration. Not thrilled he noticed. Though it’s pretty obvious. “Well, I was. Not anymore. Now I’m mostly confused.” I’m not beating around the bush. I know Jiyong has a habit of pretending things are perfectly normal, even when they aren’t. But I’m not in the mood for that tonight. He sees my look and knows me well enough as well. There’s a question to be answered. “Dais, I just missed you. So I thought I’d say hi.”
Fuck. Okay, that’s... really adorable. And surprisingly honest. My face softens before I can stop it. He sees it and smiles wider. Man. When he smiles like that he looks like a cartoon character. In the best way. It’s a dangerous look, addicting and infectious.
He shifts toward the light. His hair is wet, poking out from under a hoodie. There’s some stubble on his chin, the kind he gets when he’s had a few days off. I almost sigh.
“I think I miss you too.” I say. “Well, I miss hanging out with everyone. Sometimes I’m still sad the group never really got back together… I guess after Cheungha moved to Busan post-pandemic we just…” I stop. Because if I’m honest, I’m not even sure they aren’t still hanging out. They might be. Just without me. Most of them knew each other before. Ji still sees his former bandmates and staff all the time. The others... I don’t know.
“Yeah. Sad that ended.” Jiyong murmurs while flopping onto the couch and grabbing a cat from offscreen. “Well… why did you stop texting me back then?” I shouldn't care so much, but ask it. I always wondered. Just like I always wondered if he remembered me from the holiday house. No clue why I never asked before, probably didn’t want to admit how much I still wanted to know the answer.
He looks at me - well, at the screen. “Weren’t you the one who started phasing me out?” I raise my eyebrows. Genuinely confused. “Uhm... what?” He pouts a little. “It felt like... I don’t know, like I was annoying you.”
My mouth opens, then closes again. Oh. “I’m sorry if I made you feel that way. I think... it was kind of the opposite. I was really sad when I didn’t hear from you anymore. But I didn’t want to seem desperate either.”
We’re both quiet for a moment. A lot to process.
“Shit.” he finally mutters. I nod. Shit indeed.
“But, uh… Daisy. Do you miss the group… or me a bit more than them?” When he looks up I can tell it took courage. He looks younger like that. Softer. The corners of my mouth twitch. I almost lie - almost. Some evil instinct tells me to dodge. But I don’t.
“Mainly you, Ji.”
We both grin at each other like absolute idiots.
“Good.” he says finally. And then, surprisingly quickly “Wanna go for a walk?” It sounds random until I realize he means right now. I glance out the window. It’s snowing again. I look back at the screen. He’s grinning. My heart jumps. Yeah. We should go for a walk. I want to see him. I’m glad he called.
When I step out of the car about twenty minutes later in a quiet parking lot halfway between our places, I spot his vehicle right away. Of course I do. It's impossible to miss, it’s that flashy. The driver’s door opens and we both burst out laughing when we see how well our ridiculous layering matches. Pajamas under oversized coats, scarves, beanies and boots that don’t go together at all. I can’t stop giggling as we walk up to each other. It’s fun. It’s light. It’s absurd. I feel like I’ve time-traveled. Like we both have.
It’s almost 3 AM on a weekday and the residential neighborhood is silent. The snow has stopped but left just enough of a layer to crunch under our feet. Our breath floats up in soft clouds. As soon as we start moving, he reaches for my hand. Both gloved, but still.
“I missed you the most too.” he says eventually, eyes forward, after we walked for a bit and talked about the cold only. “Oh…” I reply, barely above a whisper. “Because I think you’re really wonderful. And I always have.”
That makes me stop for a second. But he doesn’t. He keeps walking, a little slower, tugging gently at my hand so I’ll follow.
“I mean, you probably know. It’s not an apology or anything. Just… an explanation. I just wasn’t in the headspace for anything back then. But I really liked you.”
My brain hits pause. Everything around me slows down, except my heartbeat. I stare at his back and realize his hand is still holding mine like he’s afraid I might pull away. I don’t. But now I have stopped again and he has to as well.
“Like… really liked me?” I ask, catching up. He turns to me, grinning without much sound. “Yeah. Like really really. But you knew that, right?” I shake my head. “No. I mean… we flirted a little. But we were always ‘just friends,’ weren’t we?” He squints at me like I’ve said something truly absurd. “We cooked together on Zoom, Daisy. That’s, like, almost domestic.” “Yeah… I just thought you were bored.” He laughs, loud enough that it echoes a little. “I was. Really really bored. But that doesn’t mean I wasn’t looking forward to seeing your face every single day.”
That makes me blush. I lean my head onto his shoulder to hide it and he lets out a soft little sound I can’t quite place. His arm goes around my waist. I feel it through all the layers.
“You still do?” I ask, voice muffled by his coat. He hums into my hair. “Yeah.”
It’s warm like this, with his arm around me and my head against his shoulder. But eventually I stand up straighter again and that means looking at his face. His beautiful face. He’s bundled up but somehow still manages to look exactly like himself. The sharp lines softened by the cold, his breath visible in the air between us.
“Please… please tell me I can finally kiss you?” he asks and he’s smiling, but not with his eyes. His whole expression is one long, silent plea. He looks like someone barely holding it together. And his voice is needy. Rough. I feel it too, this restless buzz in my skin. It’s not pity. It’s not pressure. It’s just the overwhelming need to say yes.
So I nod. And then his lips are on mine.
At first, it’s cautious. One of those slow, nervous, is-this-really-happening kisses. Gentle pressure. A slight tilt of his head. He smells like something sweet I can’t quite place. But then something shifts.
It gets hungry. Fast. Like we’ve been holding this in for way too long and now we can’t stop. My hands are in his coat, pulling him closer. His fingers slide into my hair even though I’m still wearing a hat. His tongue grazes mine, careful at first then deeper. I gasp against his mouth. He groans softly in return. It’s the kind of kiss that scrambles your thoughts. Makes the world blur at the edges. I think I make a noise I’ve never made before. Embarrassing maybe. But he likes it. I can tell. The cold doesn’t matter. The layers of clothing don’t matter. All I feel is him. All I want is more.
In the end I am not sure how we manage to stop, but we are both so breathless, it takes a few moments to not feel dizzy. “Wow.” he whispers, barely louder than the snow under our feet. I can’t help but grin. My lips are swollen. My heart feels like it’s trying to tap-dance its way out of my chest.
“Yeah.” he hums, his hands still resting on my waist. “Worth the wait though.”
We stay like that for another moment, just looking at each other like two idiots too happy to move. Then we start walking again, slower now. Our hands find each other’s automatically and I hold onto his like it's the most natural thing in the world. The snow crunches beneath our feet. A cat meows in the distance. Somewhere, a porch light flickers off. There’s no rush to say anything. It’s the kind of silence that feels shared, not awkward.
By the time we reach the empty little parking lot, I almost wish the walk was longer. I spot my car first, then his - far too shiny and dramatic for this neighborhood, parked just a little crooked. Of course. We stop in the middle, between the two cars. There’s still a dusting of snow on the windshields. His hair is a mess under his hat. I probably look a mess too. But he smiles like he’s seeing something perfect.
“This was really nice.” he says. And I nod. No plans are made. No promises. But I know how he looked at me tonight. I know how he kissed me. I know how I felt. So I don’t need any of that. “Drive safe, okay?” I say, still holding his hand. “You too.” I start to let go, but he leans in for one last kiss. It’s softer this time. Not needy, not rushed. Just sweet and certain. A kiss that says I like you and I’m glad we did this and maybe let’s do it again. Then he opens the car door, gets in, waves once through the window. I sit in my own car for a second before starting the engine. The heater whirs to life and I lean back against the seat, looking up through the windshield at the quiet sky. God, I’m glad he called.

Hi Vodika 🥰
I'm back with a second ask for your follower celebration!
Could I get a Wolffe x Fem!Reader with a narcissus and pansy bouquet? Where the reader ends up in the hospital and Wolffe confesses his love for her when he visits and realizes how much she means to him?
Please and thank you 💚😘💚
@the-bad-batch-baroness
Accidents Happen
Summary: You've been crushing on Wolffe for, what seems like, forever. But you're convinced that he'll never feel the same. However, when you're injured at work, things change.
Pairing: Commander Wolffe x F!Reader
Word Count: 2020
Prompts: Narcissus - unrequited love, Pansy - you occupy my thoughts
Tagging: @trixie2023 @n0vqni
A/N: You did say that Wolffe was on your brain! So I hope this story makes you happy! And here's your personal divider that I made for you. As a note This is Wolffe's message, and This is the reader's messaging.
Early mornings are the worst, you think as your alarm goes off at 5 am.
You lay in bed for a moment, listening to your alarm scream at you from across the room, before you sigh and swing your legs out of the bed and push to your feet.
Early mornings where you actually have to do work the whole day are even worse. You blearily cross the room and hit the button on top of your clock, before you flip the lightswitch, making it impossible for you to go back to sleep.
And then you cross back to your bed, and grab your comm from its charger.
Several messages from your friends from the night before. Several more from your boss from last night and early this morning. A handful of emails that need to be deleted or responded to in kind.
You sigh heavily, and open the app for your work. You quickly log in for the day, before you go back to your emails. You absently answer several work emails as you pad through the apartment into your kitchen.
You set your comm down on the counter, still scanning your emails, and you grab your electric kettle to fill it with water. You set it back on it’s stand and flick the power switch, before you grab your comm again and turn to leave the room.
You start to reply to an email when the dark blue bubble of your instant messenger pops up on the screen.
You up?
Your heart speeds up and your face heats when you see the simple words sent to you by Wolffe. Your crush on him is, frankly, embarrassing.
Tragically. Morning Wolffe. What’s up?
Comet has been harassing me to remind you about the book. The one with the birds.
You stare at the screen blankly for a moment, You mean The Raven Emperor series?
How should I know? Probably.
You giggle, Wolffe, there aren’t any actual birds in that book.
I really don’t care, sarad.
Well, someone’s grumpy this morning.
You’d be grumpy too if your twin brother stole all of your caf.
What, the GAR doesn’t give you a caf supply.
The GAR wouldn’t give us armor if we didn’t need it to win the war.
You can hear him rolling his eyes across the text message, and it’s kind of impressive.
Anyway
Me and the boys are going to 79s this evening
Coming?
I wish.
I have a building that I need to appraise, and it’s something like 200 apartment buildings.
I’m going to be busy until midnight
🥺
Ah.
Well, next time then.
You wait a moment for Wolffe to say something else, but he went offline soon after.
I want to go on a date with you. Your finger hovers over the send button, before you sigh and shake your head, deleting the message.
Wolffe would never be interested in you. Not like that.
You just have to be happy with his friendship.
And here you thought ‘love unrequited’ was just something in the trashy romance novels you read in secret.
You allow yourself to wallow for a whole 30 seconds, and then you remember that you still have to shower and eat breakfast, and you toss your comm on your bed as you hurry into the fresher.
The chat with Wolffe means that you don’t have time for a proper breakfast, especially if you give yourself time enough to shower properly, but you think it was worth it. He’s Wolffe, after all.
Fifteen minutes later, you’re scrambling out of your fresher, pulling your wet hair into a messy knot at the back of your head, and you hurry back into the kitchen.
In your rush you accidentally pour some hot water over your thumb as you fill your travel mug with the water, and you release a pained hiss. “I don’t have time for this,” You say to the empty apartment. You eye the blister critically, and decide that it’s not worth the hassle of treating it
Quickly, but carefully, you finish putting your breakfast together, and you hurry out the front door.
Your boss wants you at the complex by 6 am.
And luckily, you make it. By the skin of your teeth, maybe, but you’re still on time.
“You’re almost late,” the stern looking older man scolds.
“The keyword there being almost,” You counter, as you look up at the building, “This is the Meridian Complex?”
“Yep.”
“You spent how much on this?”
“2.5 Million Credits,” He sounds proud about it.
“This is a death trap.” You point out, cringing as a fake shutter falls off a window three stories up.
“It just needs a little work.” Your boss says, and then he pauses, “You are up to date on your vaccines, right?”
“Ha. You’re hilarious.” You pull your datapad out of your car, and glance at the information on the screen, “You have the keys?”
“Yup, all of the door codes are set to 00000.”
“Noted.” You make a note on the datapad, “After you.”
Half an hour later, you realize that your conservative estimation of this taking until midnight was far, far too generous. This is going to take days.
You look around at the rotting floorboards, and at the graffiti and holes on the walls, and you sigh. At least the paycheck is going to be really nice.
“Hey! I think I found a half decent apartment!” Your boss calls from down the stairs, “Second floor, 209. We can use this as a staging room.”
“Coming!” You shake your head at the sheer mess, and half wonder if you could message Wolffe and ask for the Wolfpack to help. You laugh softly at the idea, the boys would be more than happy to help, you’re sure, but it’s not realistic.
You start up the stairs.
But, if he was willing to help, you could spend more time with Wolffe, which would be a win.
A weird noise makes you slow to a stop, and you pause, tilting your head to listen better.
“What are you doing?” Your boss asks from the top of the stairs.
“...I heard something-” You trail off as there’s a cracking noise under your feet.
Your boss’ face goes gray. “Hurry!”
You go to take one more step, when the cracking noise returns. And when you put your foot down on the stair…it keeps going.
You don’t even have time to scream as the staircase collapses under you.
The last thing you see as you topple backwards is your boss’ horrified face, and you hear a shout of your name.
Wolffe is not having a super day.
On top of the fact that Fox stole all of the Caf and the fact that he’s been confined in his office doing paperwork all morning, the fact that the Wolfpack’s pretty sarad won’t be joining them at 79s tonight just shoved him into an awful mood.
Nights out are always better when she’s with them.
He glowers at the various documents that need his signatures. He should be grateful. He’s not Marshal Commander. He’s seen the amount of work that Cody, Fox, and Bly have on a daily basis.
He’s lucky that he is only a commander and he only has this much work to do.
…yeah, nope. That didn’t help.
He rests his head on his hand as he taps his stylus against the table. “When Alpha said that a command position was worth it, he was a filthy liar.” Wolffe announces to the room at large.
He should make Comet do this paperwork in exchange for the free time he’ll need to read that book series he’s going to borrow-
Wolffe’s thought process is cut off when his office door slides open and Comet bursts in, “Commander!”
“What is it?”
“Sarad is in the hospital.”
Wolffe’s heart drops into his stomach. He drops all of his work and grabs his helmet, “Which hospital?”
“Coruscant General. Sir, where-?”
“I’m going to go check on her, of course.” He pushes past Comet, “You’re in charge until I get back.”
“Yes, sir.” Comet pauses, “Let us know how she is?”
“I will,”
The trip to Coruscant General doesn’t take long, Wolffe is able to walk the distance. And, as luck has it, no one stops him when he enters the hospital properly.
“Can I help you sir?” The nurse at reception asks.
“I hope so,” Wolffe replies, before he offers her name, “I was told that she’s here.”
The woman nods, “Are you the husband?”
Wolffe pauses for half a second, “Yes, that's right.” He lies.
She nods again, “On the fifth floor, room 517.”
“Thank you.” He marches over to the lift, and presses the button for the fifth floor. Wolffe’s mind is whirling. How was she hurt? How badly? Does he need to set up a guard rotation for her?
Did someone attack her? Does he need to get the guard involved?
The lift comes to a stop and he steps out, and heads to the nurses station. He offers her name once more, and again, lies about being her husband, and he’s pointed in the right direction.
The door is shut, and Wolffe lightly knocks on the door. He doesn’t get a response, but he pushes the door open anyway.
“Sarad?” The lights are dimmed, but not so much that he’s not able to see her.
She looks…bad.
Covered in bruises and bandages. Various machines attached to her, monitoring her heart rate and blood pressure and giving her IV medication.
“Oh, cyare.” Wolffe walks over to her, and looks her over. Every inch of her is covered in angry looking bruises or cuts. “What happened?” Gently, very gently, he brushes a strand of hair out of her face.
A lot of the tension he hadn’t realized that he was carrying drains from his body now that he’s sure that she’s not dying or dead.
It’s kind of funny, in a way.
Sure, he’s always known that his sarad was important to him. He’s not been blind to the fact that she’s always on his mind and that he never isn’t thinking about her. But he didn’t know just how important until this very moment.
Wolffe’s fingers linger on her cheek, and he’s startled when he hears a soft moan from her. “Sarad?”
Hazy eyes peer up at him, confused, “‘lffe?”
“Yeah,” He smiles at her, “It’s me. How are you feeling?”
“...wh’re?”
“You’re at Coruscant General, you were hurt, do you remember?”
Her fingers flex, and Wolffe takes her hand in his free hand, “Stairs,” She mumbles, some of the haze leaving her voice, “The stairs collapsed-”
“Unlucky,” Wolffe says quietly, as he sets his helmet on the side table and then sits in a seat, “How are you feeling?”
She’s quiet as she considers his question, “...fuzzy.” She finally says.
He chuckles, “I’m not surprised, by the look of it, you’re on some good pain medicine.”
“Wolffe?”
“Hm?”
“Why are you in the hospital? Are you hurt?” She asks, her brow furrowed as she tries to puzzle it out.
“Come on, Sarad. You know the hospital doesn’t treat clones.” Wolffe brushes his fingers across her lips, “I’m here for you, of course.” He pauses, “I also let everyone believe that I’m your husband. Sorry.”
She hums, “I don’t mind.”
“That I lied?”
“Being your wife.” She clarifies, “Sounds like fun. Let’s do that.”
Wolffe laughs, “I think we’re skipping a couple of steps, Sarad.”
She hums again, her eyes fluttering closed, “Don’ care. Love Wolffe.” She mumbles.
His breath catches in his throat for a moment. And then a wide grin crosses his face. “Are you still awake, cyare?”
“Mm-hmm.”
“I love you.” He whispers into her ear, and then he presses a light kiss to her temple, “You’re not going to remember this when you sober up, and that’s okay. I’ll just tell you again and again, as many times as you need.”
She smiles at him, the drugs hitting her hard again, “Stay?”
“For as long as you want me, sarad. Promise.”

30/11/18 -> 23/10/22 or: Christian Horner on Daniel Ricciardo through the prodigal son years
"I thought he was winding me up to be honest with you. He rang me to say I'm going to Renault. I said, 'You what? Is this a wind-up for the summer holidays?' But then it became very clear that was his choice and you have to respect that ... it's difficult to understand, but obviously Daniel had his reasons." -> August 2018
"I was disappointed at the time because I'd put a lot into trying to retain Daniel and get him to stay. I just couldn't understand his decision-making. I like Daniel very much, he's a great guy, he was a great member of this team and if I take off my Red Bull hat I couldn't understand his logic behind the move that he made." -> March 2020
"When he announced he was leaving Renault, he gave me a call in the shutdown last year. I remember him saying, 'You're probably thinking I told you so, and yeah you did!' ... He's still a great friend of the team. He's a great driver. I'm sad to see him having the struggles he's having at the moment, but I'm sure he'll come through them." -> July 2021
"I don't recognise him as the same driver he was when he was with us. He's one of the best guys out there. He's definitely got that capability ... We’re used to seeing him on the podium doing shoeys, messing around with that smile but we don’t see any of that anymore. I hope that he finds an opportunity to further his career because I think F1 is better off having him in this championship than not." -> August 2022
"I think I would probably sign him to be honest with you ... It's obviously not been a great experience for him for whatever reason but you just have to think back to some of the drives he did for us, some of the wins he had, the podiums, some of the stunning overtakes he was capable of ... that's still in there I'm sure." -> September 2022
"Daniel joined us as a teenager, and he grew up with the team here. He had some great success here with us, and then he went and did something stupid and went to drive for a couple of other teams ... but Daniel is such a great personality and big character ... he's got the biggest smile in Formula 1." -> December 2022
"When you drive a car that has clear limitations, you adapt and try and adjust to extract the most out of the car. And it was clear that when he came back, that he picked up some habits. We didn't recognise the Daniel that had left us two or three years earlier ... it's great to have him back in blue and be back in the team." -> March 2023
"I didn’t really recognise the Daniel, over the last couple of years, that we’d sort of grown so used to, that had grown up with us. He came in and drove the simulator the day after Abu Dhabi ... he’d picked up every bad habit imaginable when he was working with this previous engineer. Gradually we unpicked it. With each session he just got better and better. You could see his confidence growing to the point that he was absolutely on the pace with the race drivers." -> July 2023
"Occasionally we’ve spoken about it, even when he wasn’t with us. So, look, you can’t turn back the clock. And in life sometimes you make decisions that a few years later, you perhaps wish you’d taken another path. But the most important thing is he’s gotten himself back into a situation where he’s back within the Red Bull family, he’s in a race car and he’s enjoying his driving again." -> August 2023
(Photos by MARK THOMPSON and DAN ISTITENE)
#im posting this just to get it out of my damn drafts its been sitting there since early 2023#and im being so serious. this is as heart wrenching and bitter sweet and disappointing for you as it is for me#bc the prodigal son returned home and was then kicked out onto the streets#and christian horner is NAWT the figure he once was to me#daniel ricciardo#christian horner#f1

It's been 10 years since I first watched Frozen!🌻❄️⛏️☃️🦌

(Swedish DVD-copy of Frozen)
November 20th, 2014. It seems like forever ago. I remember watching this movie through my desktop ASUS PC (remember when computers used to have actual DVD-drives?) on a by today's standards pretty crappy Philips monitor. It didn't matter. The movie was like nothing else I had seen before. Even though I don't even have a sibling and can't fully relate to the conflict, Anna and Elsa's adventure is IMO one of the best stories ever told💕
I was 22 back then. A young man and totally in love with this Disney movie. Now I'm 32 and it continues to be among my favourite movies of all time. Even now, ten years later, I still live and breathe Frozen every day! It is a part of who I became and it is the way I wish to remain 😄
I have become a devoted fan of all things Frozen and I'm trying my best to be a part-time Frozen-analyst, mapmaker, worldbuilder and collector. I'm also known for using too many emotes and exclamation marks!
Below, I have tried to summarise some important and meaningful keepsakes and events from the past ten years. I hope you enjoy scrolling!✨✨✨
I believe this was the first ever Frozen-related pic that I saved (it's the oldest in my album) (April 2015)
I was equally in love with the OUAT Frozen arc and no one can tell me Georgina and Elizabeth were anything but perfect for their roles (April 2015)

🥹🥹🥹
(March 2015)
In just a couple of years we saw the franchise grow (did anyone else prefer the original logo for the musical?) (February 2016)
The official announcement we'd all been waiting for (April 2017)

The architect in me loved the castle! (2017)

I mean, who could ever forget this moment? (December 2018)
AJHFSJASJFKAGKJFGSKFDSGSJF!?!?!?!?!?!? (February 2019)
What are those????? (February 2019)

My first piece of "big" Frozen merch (April 2019)

I made a custom calendar just to count down the remaining days to Frozen II (I also avoided spoilers for the last 6 1/2 months) (December 2019)
🥹🥰😭
(December 2019)

Perfectly balanced, as it should be (February 2020)

Me collecting stuff! (February 2020)
Me going crazy saving as much Frozen content as possible 😅 (August 2020)
I joined r/Frozen (June 2021)
I started my deep-dive into Arendelle's geography in 2021 which ultimately lead to "An odyssey through Frozen geography", the first of many fandom projects! (July 2021)
Together with a group of equally dedicated Frozen nerds fans, I helped building the @arendelle-archives server and later tumblr-blog! (2021)
Collecting more things! (October 2021)
A Frozen comic writer responded to my reddit post?😲(December 2021)
I started developing ideas for a Frozen fanfic (2022)
Frozen III-announcement! Finally! (February 2023)
My Norway-trip of 2023. Without a doubt one of the most beautiful destinations on Earth and a must-go for anyone who wants to visit the real Arendelle!!! (July 2023)
I continue to delve into more map-related stuff in Wonderdraft (May 2024)
Together with the rest of the wonderful folks over at @frozen10fanzine, I helped create and design a fanzine summarising the memories of Frozen fans from the past decade! (July 2024)

A slice of my current Frozen collection! Some figures were very kindly donated to me by @yumeka-sxf 🙌 (July 2024)
And lastly, from today: the first snow of the season❄️🩵

If you made it this far, thank you for scrolling😅
Finally, a little shout-out to friends and acquaintances I've made through the likes of reddit, discord and tumblr in the past few years:
@bigfrozenfan @yumeka-sxf @greatqueenanna @queenritaofarendelle @saiten-gefroren @snowflaketale12 @cloudberriesforaqueen @theartoffrozen @secretsofthestorymakers
A big thank you also to the whole @arendelle-archives and @frozen10fanzine - teams! Y'all continue to inspire me!

Dreaming + Shifting
Shifting diary entry #8 !!! (and asking for help again…)

I’ve made posts before about what it means to dream and how that relates to your shifting journey, and here I am doing it again… (also I wish I’ve made more diary entries on here it’s kinda been a while, but I’ve doing A LOT of reflection in my personal shifting journal, maybe I’ll make some of them posts…?)
My whole life I’ve been a dreamer, before I even learned of shifting I lucid dreamt quite often. I would use dreaming as an escape from my life here. My dreams are often intense and vivid.
And they definitely were last night, I had so many dreams it was crazy. But to parts in particular stood out to me that made me want to make this post.
It was later in the night, I originally thought to lucid dream and shift that way instead of doing an awake method (because of something that happened earlier in the night that I’ll get to later)
I think I just forgot that I wanted to that and I didn’t end up saying affirmations as I went to sleep to help guide me into a lucid dream, instead I thought of my DR. And … I ended up having VERY vivid dream of my DR s/o. Like I don’t think I’ve had a more vivid dream related to my current DR.
(I don’t remember what was going on before this) I opened the door in the room I was in and there leaning on the wall was my s/o. Again so vivid so much more detail in this dream. I remember thinking that I felt my stomach drop when I saw him there 😭 I also thought “omg he’s so tall I need to script he’s not this tall” ??? Anyways I think we talked but I can’t remember, I just remember kissing him and us cuddling. I remember sitting in front of him with his arms around me. I think someone else from my DR interrupted us bc we had some place to go, and my sister from this reality did the same?
I remember feeling really sad when I woke up, but I just tried to feel better by reminding myself I can just be there for real 😭
Now for the part I REALLY wanted to talk about. The part that, if anyone reading can help me analyze, I would much appreciate it.
I was gonna do an awake method last night but decide I should sleep for a couple hours then do it. So I set the intention to wake up at like 4, I woke up at like 4 30 but I was waking up before this but just kept going back to sleep and anxiously waking up lol. Anyways I woke up and put on a guided meditation and went for it, but then a couple minutes in I just randomly remember this part of my dream that made me stop my meditation.
I can’t fully remember what was going on before this, but I was in some sort of library/book store and this lady asks me to tell her a cool fact. (?)I panicked and couldn’t think of anything. I can’t remember what happened between this moment and the next but it eventually led to us talking about shifting. She told me she’s an avid shifter, she’s been shifting since 2020. And she told me she’s 24 years old? I don’t know who this woman was, she’s certainly not anyone in my life and not like some shifting “influencer” I like or something? I remember her giving me shifting advice but I just can’t seem to remember what it was!?!? 😭 I remember her comforting me, and telling me stuff along the lines of “don’t worry it is inevitable that you will shift” though. Ugh, I wish I could remember. But this is why I decided to try and lucid dream instead.
But if anyone reading this wants to feel free to analyze this for me, idk what this means for me or my journey. If my subconscious mind keeps saying and doing stuff like this, why haven’t I shifted? What does this even mean for me?
I’ve had similar experiences in dreams, like this one time a couple weeks ago I was dreaming of Star Wars (odd bc I’ve never seen the movies) and I met two guys and I explained shifting to them and they were very curious about it. And I even remember thinking in that dream “should I tell them I shifted here?” (???)
Anyways I feel (slightly) sick to my stomach about the vivid dream I had of my s/o and idk what my other part means…

Hallows' Eve
Written: Oct 2 2020
Pairing: dark!Bucky Barnes, dark!Steve Rogers, dark!Clark Kent x Black Female Reader
You expected a nice night on the eve of Halloween with your boyfriend, Bucky.
