i cannot stress enough that even if you intend to do sports with your dog, even if you intend to work your dog you should get a type of dog you can enjoy living with WITHOUT sports and/or work. Dogs cannot do sports/work forever. Sometimes they need a break from sports/work due to injury. In such a particular soft tone that my brain wants to interpret it either as concern for Jim essentially being assaulted OR (if you funny spirk lens it) as Spock almost being hurt/in disbelief at Jim being with another woman

Realistically, it may be more along the lines of Spock knowing just how much Kirk hates it when he’s not in control of himself (the most recent one before this being ‘And the Children Shall Lead’ I think?) and immediately going into “I must aid the captain so that he doesn’t do something he will regret” confidant/support mode

i know we're talking devotions stocks but im also thinking abt flames sudden desire for independence and how itll affect mane, especially bc a lot of flames own desires and morals go against manes quite directly. like. i cant imagine mane being just Fine w mawn but will he still be against it if its something flame wants? would he be willing to ignore his own grievances for flames sake? would flame even WANT manes support if his decision is all about being his own person outside of mane?

The second fic idea is a what-if scenerio where Jimmy dies in the crash due to and altercation with Curly and how Curly would navigate being Captain once he has to notice the little things and how he and Anya's relationship develop as he adopts an identical view point to hers rather than just keeping the peace.
