they get it, and they’ve been subtly - and not so subtly - hinting at it since the season 7 premiere

the minute they realized eddie was turning out to be gay, narratively speaking, they knew the only right person for him romantically - again, narratively speaking - is buck

and they’ve been planning bi-buck way before they noticed gay-eddie, but when they introduced buck’s bi-awakening, they made sure to show that his new relationship with a man doesn’t click the way it clicks with eddie. they’re cute together, sure, they have chemistry, yes, but it’s constantly highlighted in the show that the only right person for buck is eddie - because he’s just always fucking there, he gets buck like no one else does, their connection is unmatched and this new love interest can’t compare because they’re not meant to be

because the two characters who are meant to be already met each other

i totally respect buck’s bisexuality and how important it is for representation, but i also respect buck as a whole character - and if you respect him that way too, you also understand that buck’s the one is eddie. because it’s been shown across all seasons that eddie is the one person in buck’s life who matches his level of love and his personality

like, it all always comes down to people never actually seeing a proper queer slow burn before because it never really existed - previous queer relationships on screen were either fast-developing, pre-established, or never got a real resolution

so people keep dismissing buddie’s connection as “just friendship”, even though the signs of it being a love story have always been there - with both buck and eddie’s sexualities, and with how they relate to each other

the writers saw it because they’re not stupid. and the way they went about making these characters slowly understand themselves and realize their feelings for each other tells me they’re actually geniuses. there was an insane amount of subtext in s7, and basically plain text in s8

and if you can’t see it, then you’re stupid - sorry not sorry - ‘cause i genuinely can’t comprehend how bt-endgame fans or eddie-straight-truthers can’t see what’s happening right in front of them

we finally got a queer friends-to-lovers story for once, stop whining

every time someone says, “why do people always need to ship characters that are cLeArLy just friends?” i’m like:

a part of the mooncovey fanbase is very biphobic and lesbophobic and we really need to shame them for it because it’s super annoying. like yeah i know you’re coming from tatbilb which taught you queers exist only in the form of the gay guy best friend for the straight girl protagonist but! jenny han has grown! have you not seen tsitp?! have you also not noticed kitty was never like lara jean?! she wore a mf suit to their dad’s wedding for god’s sake sigh. disrespectfully, if your ship can’t exist without lame excuses on why an alternate ship isn’t as “valid”, then your ship probably isn’t that great in the first place. which is sad, because mooncovey is an awesome ship.

Okay so hear me out. This was a worm I’ve been thinking about lately, which is bizarre, because it isn’t inherently Steddie…

But we get all kinds of fics of if Eddie and/or Robin were pulled into things earlier than their seasons. But…

What if Tommy and Carol were pulled into things with Steve? Like, picture it…

Instead of ditching Steve after his fight with Jonathan, Steve and Tommy and Carol hash it out a bit more, get into a bigger argument maybe even, and maybe they do separate for a bit. But then they’re still friends, so maybe they huff and puff about it but they talk things out too. Maybe Steve even gets to somewhat convince them that they should all apologize, even if Tommy and Carol don’t really want to or care all that much.

So all three of them go to do so, and all three of them see the demogorgon, and all three of them have that life altering paradigm shift. Maybe Carol and Tommy don’t change completely, at least not immediately, but they’re forced to confront that there’s more than just high school popularity contests, and maybe they become just that little bit of better people.

Maybe Carol and Nancy have a genuine talk, genuinely open up to each other, and no one can ever replace Barb of course, but it’s nice to have another female friend, even if they’re pretty much polar opposites.

Tommy isn’t fond of Jonathan at all, because demogorgon aside, it was creep behavior taking photos of them like that. Tommy helps pitch in to get Jonathan his new camera though, because he egged on Steve’s insecurities (brought on by the fact that Steve’s dad has cheated on his mom so he’s really sensitive to potential cheating in partners) and he guesses he’s partly to blame. He rolls his eyes about it, but Steve is happy he has his friend beside him still.

Tommy and Carol don’t really take to the kids much, but Carol does secretly enjoy getting into bitching sessions with Mike, and later Erica.

When Billy shows up, maybe Tommy and Carol start backsliding. Maybe they have to have a big blowup. Maybe they aren’t there when Steve gets dragged in helping Dustin, at least not immediately, but maybe they hear about Steve dealing with that without them because they chose Billy and they just…they…

They can’t believe they left Steve to deal with that horror by himself. They feel guilty and terrible and they tell Billy off. They can’t believe they chose some stupid popularity that doesn’t even matter over the guy that literally went to bat for them. They’re at the end with him, apologizing for not being there before, and they become even better people.

They come around to lovingly tease Steve at his job at Scoops, wheedling free ice cream out of him. And who knows, maybe telling Billy off changes the third season, maybe them being there, better people and supportive of Steve changes things, maybe the three of them can even change Billy to an extent. Maybe, Steve and Tommy and Carol and Billy hashing it all out and coming to terms with the toxicity of high school and judgemental parents and a society that believes you need to be a certain way to matter…maybe it changes things for the better.

Idk. I’ve just always wondered how things would have gone if Tommy and Carol had been exposed to the truth the first season.

And then blah blah blah, Steve and Eddie eventually fuck about it. Because I am nothing if not a Steddie truther in everything. And who knows…maybe Robin and Carol fuck about it also 😏

I’m not a Jace stardiamond is a good teacher truther or a Jace Stardiamond is a bad teacher truther I’m a Jace Stardiamond realist. He’s good at being endlessly supportive to shy and scared sorcerer freshman, his reflexes on counterspell or dispel are insane, he spends most of his day making sure the kids in his class aren’t doing the fantasy equivalent of jumping the chain link fence and biting their classmates so even if he did lesson plan (which he doesn’t) he wouldn’t even have time to get to the curriculum anyway. Everyone thinks he’s barely a “teacher” but the fragile ecosystem of Aguefort Academy would easily crumble without him bc he’s so covert about making sure everything looks as easy breezy cool as ice and making sure nobody is poking their nose in his classroom (stupid wizards). He’s good at making connections with his kids but overly familiar with them to the point of being more teacher as friend and. He’s very good at magic and is very good at making sorcery seem appealing and cool and unscary and not a curse (I’m not a perfect teacher but please stick around bc this will literally save your life and by the end of four years you’re gonna love it and yourself) but he’s also personally naturally so good at sorcerery and never learned how to like, work and build on skills to achieve goals that giving the upperclassman actual useful feedback is beyond his reach, and they are frustrated by his limitations but at least he lets them text in class. He has inside jokes with his students which includes the whole “we only talk about how great innate magic is all day” but also if you’re a student who struggles to pick things up he doesn’t know what much more to do to help beyond just. Being supportive. Listen. I don’t know how to help you. The girls who get it, get it. Jace loves when the girls who get it, get it because he was always a girl who got it. Remus Lupin :

He has loads of jumpers and his friends always steal them bc they’re really big and comfy (and ugly but that’s honestly apart of their appeal.)

HE LOVES MUSIC. He loves listening to it for hours on end just sitting down, reading a book, WHENEVER he is free. He can also play music (p guitar). He can sing.

His love language is quality time. He wants to sit in a room with you in silence, do things with you, ANYTHING. Its also physical touch, but that’s only for people he really cares about.

He is not a morning or a night person. He is a day person. He can and will fall asleep anywhere if he’s with people he trusts or alone. This man just is not able to fall asleep in the average hours everyone else does. He is up all night, then sleeping in between lessons it confuses everybody around him on how he is still functioning

He loves pepperoni pizza, and will have debates (arguments) with people who like pineapple on pizza. 

It sometimes takes him a while to process something someone has said, especially when there is overwhelming noise, smell, or touch.

He doesn’t have an obsession with chocolate, everybody just thinks he does. He carries it around with him for a few reasons, 1.He heard it kills/makes dogs sick so he is trying to make the werewolf in him sick enough that he won’t hurt people/himself. 2. When people are sad he wants to cheer them up. 3. When he’s stressed he tends to bite the inside of his cheek/nails so eating chocolate helps stop that. 

White chocolate is his enemy.

He is a ball of anxiety. He literally cannot be in his head for more than ten minutes without distractions because he overthinks everything he does, other people or doing, anything and everything that has happened, is happening, and ever will happen. 

He literally hates social interaction. He was adopted, not befriended. Interaction with strangers is a no-no, but if someone walks up to him and starts talking to him he is never,never,ever mean. 

He is the politest, most kind soul on the fucking planet. 

HE DOES NOT HAVE ANGER ISSUES. In fact, he has a lack-of-anger issues. He may be tall, but he would never hurt anyone, shout at anyone, say anything intended to be hurtful or rude. If he is rude/mean to someone (which he isn’t) you know they fucking deserve it.

Lily Evans :

Plus- size, chubby 

The longest she’s had her is down to her butt, and the shortest is just below her shoulders. SHE LOVES LONG HAIR! 

Academic Validation. She needs it, she needs to prove that she is better than everyone who says she shouldn’t be there because of her parents/blood.

She loves petunia so much, but she doesn’t like her. 

She genuinely didn’t like james & sirius for the first three years of hogwarts. GENUINELY. Like it was fond exasperation or anything she despised those bitches.

She liked remus, they were besties form DAY ONE, and she tolerated and pitied peter because she thought james & sirius were bullying him into doing everything (some things yes, most things no they weren’t)

Snape is her best friend, and se gets SO mad when people question that. He’s her blind spot, she doesn’t notice all the bad tings about him because she’s too focused on tho good. That goes away with time though.

SO : I do not think Dumbledore schooled the marauders for a war, he diddn't try and convince them, they weren't apart of the bigger plan however, having said that he didn't try and convince them they were too young when they wished to join. He let it happen.

With Harry, that was a pig for slaughter. everything that happened was apart of his plan, and if it wasn't he manipulated it for him. He needed to win the war, and hundreds had died already. To let the wizarding world die, or just one boy? he chose the one boy.

anyways oh boy there are SO many of these that i have this is gonna get long i think

starting off with sports, i feel like he’d be an active guy. not like gym bro buff craig kinda stuff you see, he’s definitely a lanky beanpole. but i feel like he does a few sports so has a bit of muscle

first off, basketball. i’m a truther for this one, i don’t see it a lot tho. like, i hc him as being pretty tall, and i don’t have much like canon advice to back this up but that and the fact that there’s a basketball in his garage in tsot- but i think it jus fits him tbh. and also because it’s funny, he’s a total fucking loser nerd, but since yk i’ve gotta stick to canon sometimes, he’s technically popular and attractive, he definitely has like a jock alter-ego or smth stupid like that LMAO

starting off, he’s 100% a music guy. i see stuff about him preferring podcasts over music, but i see him as a total music guy. in @panicatthecourtx more recent posts, she kinda went over that stuff, but because yk, im the craig ceo i’ll go over it too. i call it dad rock cus thats what my dad listens to, but he definitely listens to nirvana, ac/dc, weezer, that kinda stuff. he’s just a nerd. but i feel like he’d also have music as a way to vent in some sort of way? idk if it makes sense this is just how my brain works, but when he’s stressed, overstimulated, or just down in the dumps he zones out and just listens to music. he’s also just a nerd

space, duh. he could go on and on about that shit for hours. he can make every constellation, am every galaxy, all the nebulas, and basically anything. especially black holes. they fascinate him, he finds them so interesting and yk. is a nerd about em. ik it doesn’t really tie in with space stuff but i’ll put it here, he definitely loves conspiracy theories, especially ones about aliens and stuff. he thinks of his own all the time. especially about other space related things. also, back to conspiracy, death absolutely fascinates him. he just want to know what happens after that.

this is a basic one, but sleeping. he’s the heaviest sleeper ever, literally sleeps 24 fuckin 7

he’ll never admit it, but he kinda likes school. not because he likes sitting around all day or listening to teachers drone on and on, it’s because usually he can talk about things. in classes he enjoys, it’s his favorite thing ever. i also see him as that one kid who literally never studies or pays attention and yet has all A’s in every class.

At least in my experience, with jkkrs it’s usually more about defending their overall bond rather than trying to /prove/ them as a ship. That’s because instead of people just saying they don’t see Jikook that way, a lot of them do the things you listed — claiming they're lying, claiming shady or biased BH editing, belittling something as “company content”, the playboy and other random narratives, OT7ifying or downplaying their moments to make them less special or whatever. it's not just jkkrs/tkkrs who sometimes project onto whatever ship as an outlet for their own infatuation, other shippers do it too. There seems to be this misconception that this wouldn’t apply to shippers who don’t believe their ship is real, but fans have ALWAYS acted absolutely insane over fictional ships and have constantly projected onto them. Someone doesn't even have to ship a duo romantically to be weird about it. Some people really just want to believe that their favorite duo is the best and the closest to the point they would diminish, downplay or even lowkey resent another member/ship that gets in the way of that narrative. It’s definitely not limited to just tkkrs.

And I’m not claiming that it’s the majority of other shippers who do this lol. It’s definitely a small minority because some of the people who hype Jikook the most are other (non-tkkr) shippers and sometimes people who don’t even bias them. It’s just that this fandom is SO big that if even a small percentage of fans are like that it absolutely has a noticeable impact. And genuinely so much of the active fandom is overly biased these days, and so so so many of them are also shippers of some sort and infatuated on some level with the BTS members. Some people can be normal about that and obviously as a shipper and all it’s not like I’m criticizing anyone who falls into any of those categories, but there are definitely some people who act up because of it too. And because of how y/n’d and shipped Jikook both are + all the Jikook-ing they do, they're often the #1 target for people feeling weird or jealous of, or for downplaying, ignoring, or undermining their bond just to prop up another ship.

every time someone gets called out or reported for disrespecting jkk, they twist it into people not liking that they "don't think jkk fck" instead of calling them out for calling jimin and jk liars and using anti narratives towards both of jkk and their relationship (whatever it is). and wants to claim that them making some actual oversexualizing "bts poly" leaning jokes about jkk makes them a jkker or jkk friendly….
