20 Questions for Fic Writers
heyyyy I was tagged by @snarky-wallflower for this thingy, and I don't typically do stuff like this but what the heck! This one looks fun, and I need a small break from finals.
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
Sixty-six! Nice round satanic number.
2. What’s your total word count?
Uhhh... 1,164,238. I think I broke a million back with Dream Come True. Wild stuff! Guess that's what happens when you do this nonstop for like four years.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Mostly Deltarune these days, obviously, but I also had a wonderful time in the Splatoon and DuckTales fandoms, as well as Miraculous Ladybug, My Little Pony, and a ton of smaller ones here and there.
4. Top 5 fics by kudos
Dare to Dream (Deltarune): A fun little Susie x Noelle romcom that takes place in a divergent chapter 2 timeline where Susie kisseed Noelle on the Ferris Wheel. Also the first fic in my mega-series Dream Come True, a 300,000 word epic that really kind of went off the rails. But don't worry about that! It's just a funny little romcom! Come closer!
F@#!, Marry, or Kill (Miraculous Ladybug): I am so mad that this is up here. This fic sucks. I wrote it when I was fourteen (hence my reluctance to say "fuck" in the title) and it's just the main characters of the show getting caught up in a game of Fuck-Marry-Kill that involves their own superhero identites, but nobody else knows that. It's a good way to leverage the dramatic irony of Miraculous Ladybug, I guess, but I hate that this was my most-kudoed fic for so long. I wrote it over SEVEN years ago. The only reason it got so popular is because back in 2016, the Miraculous Ladybug fandom was a sea of piranhas starved by the seemingly endless will-they won't-they of the show, ravenous for whatever scraps they could get their grimy little teeth on. Perfect example of why popularity doesn't always equate with quality.
People Write Fanfiction About Me? (Miraculous Ladybug): This one is actually good, even if it's also incredibly old. Basically, Marinette finds online RPF of her and her superhero partner that was obviously written by her superhero partner, and they get into a whole meta fanfiction war, and it gets worse from there. I like this one a lot even if it's in an outdated style: I think it's a good take on the identity reveal genre for the ML fandom.
Stealing Kisses (Deltarune): Not much to say on this one! It's a direct continuation of Dare to Dream, still part of the Dream Come True series, though it functions more as a drama than a straight romcom, which is only one of many tone shifts that this series eventually takes. It also contains Locker Biting Challenge (if you know you know), which I think is, to date, one of the funniest bits of situational comedy I've ever written, so it gets special notes for that.
Crossing the Streams (DuckTales): And this is my most popular DuckTales fic, to round out the set! It's a low-stakes / no-magic AU, where instead of going on daring adventures, the DuckTales kids stream FPS video games online, and are, like, famous streamers. I think its popularity was artificially boosted just a tad due to being in-progress when the series finale dropped, but I think it holds up! I had some good fun playing with identity, fame, and hidden relationships.
5. Do you respond to comments?
I--sometimes! Just not very often... Look, if someone asks me a question, or if I have something to actually say in response, or if the comment is particularly touching, I'll reply, but I'm just really bad at taking compliments! It feels very awkward to me to reply to every comment when I would basically just be going "Thanks so much, I'm glad you liked it!" ten times in a row. That's the only reason (<-Definitely doesn't have anxiety)
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I don't tend to do unhappy endings. Cold Case for sure, if it were finished, lmao. Although--I guess you could argue Stealing Kisses has a very angsty ending, though it isn't actually an ending since it's just a sequel-bait cliffhanger. But yeah, I'm going to cheat a little and say Cold Case. It should be finished soon, anyway! Hopefully!
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
That's hard to say considering the amount of romcoms I've written, but I think I'd actually have to go with the final mainline entry in my Splatoon series, Operation 24, which was The Wedding. It ends on a really sweet and poignant rooftop scene that I think is particularly uplifting, even compared to the endings of my other long-form romance fics.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Very rarely. I've gotten my share of transphobic comments -- welcome to the Internet! -- but thankfully they've been few and far between. I just delete them when they show up.
9. Do you write smut?
Yes, I have; no, you can't see it :p
10. Do you write crossovers?
I have written at least two crossover fics, so yes! I wouldn't exactly call it my genre, though. They're a little too niche and I like attention.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Oh boy. Yes, twice; the first was my Fuck Marry Kill fic for miraculous ladybug, which was ripped off and horribly butchered into a terrible version of the story by someone who IMMEDIATELY abandoned it to Orphan Account. Which is wild to me.
But the real creme of the crop was some kid on WattPad who copied large portions of my Operation 24 series, and then changed small and seemingly arbitrary details throughout to be more...train-centric? Like, all the characters would have strange and OOC dialog about trains in the middle of the romance. And then after a few chapters of that it did a total left-hand veer into a Thomas the Tank Engine / Harry Potter crossover that was utterly wild to behold. This whole saga is probably one of the weirdest things that has ever happened to me in my life and I'm honestly more bewildered than mad about it.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Wow, wouldn't that be cool! But no, along with getting a podfic this is one of those big fic-writer experiences that has elude me thusfar.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nope! I don't really know how to co-write outside of RP, and I haven't ever really done RP. I'm not opposed to the concept of co-writing, but I think it's sort of difficult to make work with my writing style.
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
While I'd love to give the PR-friendly answer of Suselle, I think it's gotta go to Miraculous Ladybug's Love Square. That show has haunted me for seven years and is showing no sign of stopping, and the fuckery it does with its main relationship is some utterly unrivaled Shakespearian nonsense. The way the fandom has built around the relationship is also very interesting, especially the way the fanfic scene has shifted as the show develops and its audience grows up.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?
If I want to finish a WIP, I will finish that WIP. The only ones that don't get finished are the ones I don't want to finish. This is the power of believing in yourself!
16. What are your writing strengths?
Dialog for sure--always has been--and also just, like, grammar? I do words good, as they say. I like to think I have a pretty well-rounded writing skillset at this point, though.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Definitely descriptive stuff like setting the scene. I have to really work to make sure my scenes are embodied in physical reality, and sometimes I just forget to describe new locations. It's just a fairly boring part of writing for me, so I don't like doing it.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?
I took six years of Spanish and have forgotten all of it, so this is unlikely at best. Spanish also uses em dashes instead of quotation marks to denote speaker changes, and while that is very linguistically interesting, it is also very confusing to me, specifically.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Uhhh... the first fandom I published was Miraculous Ladybug, but I think the first fandom I wrote for was My Little Pony. My MLP stuff is on a different site, and also pretty freaking bad, but it was my first large-scale fic and it really helped me develop my skills and voice.
20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?
Easy: Dream Come True. That was a monumental journey to go on, and seeing my readerbase follow along as that story morphed and twisted and just kept going and going was such a unique and satisfying experience as a writer. It truly feels unreplicable.
I'm not going to tag anyone because I am a coward, and get horribly anxious at the prospect of @ing people. But if you see this and you wanna do it, use me as an excuse! Say I atted you! Live freely!
Okay good bye. I must return to my endless studies...

was tagged to do this fic writer interview game thingy by @kanerallels, thanks bestie!!
How many works do you have on AO3? 27!
What's your total AO3 word count? 290,899
Your top five stories by kudos/likes:
The Clone Adoption Magnet Theory (the first installment in my Adoption Magnet AU, where the Bad Batch just adopt every child they come across - including but not limited to Omega, Kanan, and Cal)
SwapTales (a DuckTales 2017 fic where Webby wakes up in an alternate dimension where everyone has been swapped and everything is set back because of it)
Torn Apart (and Mended) (a sort-of fix-it AU based off of 2021 Lilies' theories about how The Bad Batch S1 would end)
The Evidence of the Clone Adoption Theory (the second installment of Adoption Magnet!)
Sleepless Omega (a cute fic about an insomniac Omega waking Crosshair up in the middle of the night; was written in between S1 and S2 but now am proud to say that it TOTALLY fits S3)
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? yes!! I very much appreciate everyone who comments and I like to discuss my fics with other people :]
What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending? probably are you worth getting lost over love? If you've read that one then this one is ... self-explanatory
What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending? Ooh this is gonna be hard because most of my stories have happy endings lol. I think the happiest ending so far is The Boy, The Witch, and The Wanderer because it ended in the Bad Batch gaining another adopted child!
Do you write crossovers? No but if given the opportunity I 100% would
Have you ever received hate on a fic? Nope
Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Absolutely not
Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not to my knowledge, no
Have you ever had a fic translated? Not yet
Have you ever co-written a fic before? I have! I've also co-written a few original stories with my best friend before and those have all been a BLAST
What's your all time favorite ship? I don't know about favorite ship singular but my all-time favorite ships PLURAL are Kanera, Merrical, and Sniper Swan
What's a WIP you want to finish but don't think you ever will? SwapTales :( it had a fabulous concept and I still love it!! but I haven't written for that fandom in a very long time, and unless I get another random Drake & Gosalyn hyperfixation like I did last year I don't see myself finishing it
What are your writing strengths? dialogue for sure! I've also gotten pretty good at writing lots of characters in the same room
What are your writing weaknesses? action scenes, especially battles or fights. my ultimate writing kryptonite
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in fics? I personally haven't done it, but I admire people who do
What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to? Hmm. I don't think I've written anything for RebelCaptain yet, which is a shame because they're fabulous
What's your favorite fic you've written? gosh that's so hard. I think it's tied between Adoption Magnet in general and the unposted survivor ficTM
I tag anyone who wants to play!

About me: I am a dragon! My pronouns are Dragons!
You can call me Annebell or DRAGON OMG CALL ME DRAGON! Nicknames are cool as long as you ask first! Rawr!
My pronouns are She/They/He/They.
My big age is 25, my little age is 2-6, my middle age is 10-14
This is my blog, but I share it with Lee who runs the connected blog justasmolbean
I also have a tiktok under justasmoldragon but din weally use it sinc im kinda shy
I am a nonsexual age regressor, please help me keep this space child friendly!
I regress as a coping mechanism. I have a lot going on... I have struggled with mental illness my whole life and found that age regression can really help me if I do it right.
So far, Bluey helps. I luv bluey!!
I try to be active but im part of a system so i don't always get to front and regress but i digress l dont know what else to say here i just liked the rhyme.
I can be nonverbal when I am small but it depends. Sometimes I'll talk to my stuffies because they always listen to me and are sweet to me. I like to chew (nom nom!) on something when I’m smol, bottles are fun but sippy cups are the best regardless of age. Binkies and chewies are nice too. I can switch between my ages pretty rapidly . I'm new to this so I don't know everything I need or like when I'm regressing. I Love my stuffies, I like Bluey, I like DuckTales sometimes when I'm a bit bigger, and um my stuffies! I have a lot! I do know that when I'm small I need to be reminded to eat slow, I will make myself sick by eating too fast (Nom nom nom!!). I also need lots of stimulation since that AdHD seems worse when I'm little. TV and drawing with crayons or colored pencils is one such activity. Sometimes tho I like to come on here and be smol. I want to interact with the momma's and daddy's more and I want little friends but I get so scared sometimes. I've discovered I experience what is being called Yin(?) Or Impure(?) Regression.
My special interest rn are Dragons because dragons are amazing and strong and brave! Rawr!! Space because I come from the stars! The Ocean because it's so pretty and big big also scary and mysterious and blue!!!, Cryptids/Fae stuff, I like the pretty wings and the dresses. I want to be a small fairy in a tulip. A dragon fairy!! As well as various cartoons and my stuffies! I was mean to them and I apologized and they forgave me and I love them so much.
I like purple and blue, and pink but only soft pinks and yellow! Dragons, Space and Oceans seem to be a common theme of interest all the time anytime. My ADHD means I need child-appropriate stimulation, so fun shows and games to watch/play when I'm small are welcomed please give me recommendations! More stuff with Dragons please, please please!!!! I like to make art when small as well, so I'd like to take moodboard requests, but no pressure! Rawr!
I got a caregiver!
@Starlight-moth-fox
I made a thingy!
I think that's it, plz let me know if I forgot anything and feel free to chat with me!!

Winx Club Headmasters
I finally got around to doing some of the teachers from the three magic schools.
Faragonda
Lets address the elephant in the room here. YES, I racebent Faragonda. Why? Mostly because of how my fan-cast to voice Faragonda in an ultimate dub of the series is Toks Olagundoye, who you will recognize as the voice of Mrs. Beakley from the 2017 reboot of Ducktales and the voice of Mel Medarda from Arcane. I basically just took the rich old lady from The Aristocats, Madame Adelaide and racebent her. Plus, nothing wrong with a black fairy-godmother figure, as Whitney Houston has proven in Cinderella lol. I REALLY love how she turned out. Her hair was a MAJOR pain to do but I love it. I especially love her fairy form. In my version, once a fairy gets to a certain age, they leave behind their Enchantix and get a form called Ethearix. Besides, we ALL want some older fairies. I did take inspiration from Morgana's fairy form (Since Morgana and all the characters introduced in season 4 onward don't exist in my version). What's Faragonda the fairy of? Quintessence! She basically has power over life-force, lightning, and being able to give life to inanimate objects. Pretty much what it is in W.I.T.C.H. I actually got the idea of her being the fairy of quintessence from my pal @tiredcloudd (Whose stuff you should check out because it's amazing and they are really talented) when we were discussing our own Winx canon on the private Union of War Discord server. So I have them to thank for this. Also, her and Griffin are a couple in my version.
Griffin
I had A LOT of fun with editing for Griffin because I feel like darker characters a lot more fun design-wise. YES, I did use Maleficent for her face but I also gave her the eyes of The Evil Queen from Snow White. I made her the witch of oracle magic. She doesn't really see the figure but can summon vectors of magic and do some powerful magic. I thought of that because of The Owl House and how Griffin was able to play mind games with the Winx Club back in season 1. I took inspiration for her witch form from @taiyoooh.
Griselda
Out of all three of the professors I've redesigned so far, Griselda was definitely the biggest pain in the ass to design, at least for her fairy form. I mean, Griselda seems like someone who wouldn't actually be a fairy. She seems more like she'd be a witch or a sorceress. I made her a mind fairy, because that's one of the few interesting things that Fate: The Winx Saga did. However, she can do offensive attacks as well. I also love the idea of that being her way of knowing whenever someone is up to something. She's the queen of detention for a reason. For her fairy form, I got rid of her glasses and replaces them with glowing eyes. Her hair is full of barrette thingies that look like brains because she is a mind fairy. For her outfit, I took inspiration from Nebula from season 4 but made it more conservative looking. I had to make sure the colors were more subdued compared to other fairy forms because it's Griselda and that also meant NO SPARKLES. Hell, the only makeup I gave her was purple lipstick because she's not the type to wear makeup at all. I love the way she turned out. Also, pants suit her better than a dress. Her fairy form was an absolute NIGHTMARE to work on. You have absolutely NO IDEA! Also, just imagine the voice of Mindy Sterling (Who played Ms. Briggs from iCarly and was the voice of Lin Beifong from The Legend of Korra) coming out of this character. PERFECTION!
Saladin
Well, I finally got around to posting my redesign of the last head of the three major magic school, Headmaster Saladin. He is also the grandfather of Helia (Even though the original show NEVER actually does anything with that) and in my version, I would actually do something with that. Considering in my version of season 2, part of Helia's story arc was gaining his Believix by learning to stop holding back his true potential anymore. Helia was sent to Red Fountain instead of a fairy school like Alfea so that his grandfather could help him. This also means that Saladin is also East Asian, which I wanted to show with his attire, which includes his Sorcerer form. While his regular form is in more Earth-tone colors, his sorcerer outfit does have more color too it with the white, gold, and purple.

A Definitely Real Dad
Link to AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/24016309
Summary: Gyro seeks advice from an expert when he is faced with his greatest foe yet: Parenting an adorable real boy.
Or Alternatively: Mad scientist feeling emotions for tiny adorable robot needs help from tired and expert parent that is also a sailor.
Notes: This needs to happen.
Also Ducktales Disney right now: "You get a child, you get a child, you get a child, EVERYBODY GETS A CHILD!!!!"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Why do you think Doctor Gearloose invited us to his lab?" Huey asked his companions Louis, Dewey, Webby, Della and Donald as they rode the elevator to the underwater laboratory below McDuck Enterprises'.
The elevator dinged and open its doors, revealing Doctor Gearloose looking at a piece of paper while Manny, Lil Bulb and Fenton working on a turbine.
"Oh, the ducks are here!" Gyro exclaims, folding the paper he had on his hands and pocketing it in his pants. He gently leads the family to where his partners were working as he explains why he needed them here. "I need your assistance testing my new mega super plane turbine powered by gold!"
Almost all the ducks present gasp in amazement and run towards the invention. The only one that looks at it in suspicion is the mature Donald Duck. He eventually shrugs it off, his uncle's employee wouldn't purposely put his kids in danger. But then he feels a feathered hand on his shoulder and a dark aura behind him. He turned around slowly, the feathers at the back of his neck standing up.
Doctor Gyro Gearloose was looking down at him, his face neutral and the light shining against his glasses hid his eyes, making him look extremely intimidating. "You will come with me Mr Duck," The scientist tells him slowly and threateningly.
As the unluckiest duck on the world was being shoved to a side room by the mad scientist, his family, ignorant to what was happening to him, kept playing with the machine. Although it didn't take long for the kids and Della to lose interest. As the turbine got boring, they noticed that the duck sailor was missing. Fenton dismissed their worries though, telling them that Doctor Gearloose probably needed him for something and continued to show them his inventions.
"And these are my spy-bugs," Fenton presents, showing them a bunch of different flying insects robots. Pressing a code on a mini-computer, the firefly one activates, lifting into the air. "With these little guys, we would be able to have 24-hour surveillance. They all work in a hive-mind structure and are controlled by this remote device that can be connected with any sort of memory RAM. NOW CONTEMPLATE!" Fenton uses the remote device to move the firefly out of the room and then turn on the giant computer of the lab and it starts showing what the robot is recording.
"HOW COME YOU WON'T DO IT!?" A shout echoes nearby the robot and Fenton, recognising Dr Gearloose voice, makes the machine follow the sound. They see an office where Gyro is holding Donald by his uniform and shaking him. The scientist then sighs and lets him go. "Well, If you won't cooperate, then you leave me no choice!" Gyro declares as he takes off his glasses dramatically and stands taller over the duck, looking ready to destroy him.
"PLEEEEEEESSSSSEEEEEEEE!"
The peppers let go of the breath they were holding. Gyro had not done anything to Donald, instead, he fell to his knees and begged the other bird as he held his glasses in his hands clasped like a prayer.
"Alright, I'll help you," Donald sighs, his voice resembling that of a normal being. Dewey said he sounded like an actor from one of those comic book movies that everybody got crazy for. "But I can't guarantee results," Gyro got up and, out of nowhere, got top-notch audio recording gear and sat on a stool with a note pad and a pen.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"First," Donald started. "You need to listen. Listen to what they say, how they say it and what they don't say. That is usually where the problems appear,"
"You also need to be trustworthy. You want them to come to you with their problems. But until that happens, you need to show them that you can and will help them solve their problem,"
"But if they don't tell me what's wrong how am I supposed to know that something is even wrong?" Gyro asks.
"That is the next tip, notice the little details. For example, whenever Huey drinks chocolate-milk with three spoons of cocoa powder instead of two, means that his junior woodchuck meeting didn't go so well; Whenever Dewey does a dance that consists of two spins, one flip and landing on bent knees and jazz hands means he is proud of something; or whenever Louis gets a wrinkle next to his right eye, means he is lying,"
"But the two most important things you need to remember and never forget is that you are a parent and that your life is not only yours anymore,"
"What do you mean?" Gyro asks again. "I am his parent, what else would I be?"
"It means that you aren't his friend, you aren't his buddy that will never get mad and will do anything for you. You are his parent and sometimes, you have to be the bad guy of the story," Donald tells him.
"And the life-thing?"
"It's his no. You eat what they want to eat, you eat what they want to eat, you watch what they want to watch. Your life revolves around them, they matter more than you or your feelings now,"
Gyro nods and it looks like he is about to say something but the screen turns black.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hey," Dewey complains as the image disappears.
"I'm sorry little ducks, but that seemed like a private conversation and I refuse to eavesdrop on it anymore," Fenton tells them as the robotic-firefly returns and he leaves it with the rest. "Come, I have more inventions you can play with it," He gently guides them away from the monitor.
The ducks follow him with Lil Bulb behind them, except for one. The grown woman was starring at the screen. Every time she believed that she understood how the last years without her had been for her twin, she found out that there was something she had missed. And Donald's examples, about the tiniest details of the boys, she didn't know any of them, yet Donald seemed to know them by heart.
"Mom?" Dewey called as he turned back for her, after noticing she didn't follow them.
"Comin' honey" She snapped out of her inner monologue and followed her kids.
They spent a whole afternoon testing and helping Fenton, at some point, even Boyd joined them. The kids spent the evening together, playing, laughing and catching up. Boyd was now living full-time at the lab with Dr Gearloose, Manny and Lil Bulb.
The drakes had not taken the news very well, believing that once Boyd left, things would go back to the way things were before him. But the real boy made sure to pass his half of the inheritance to the two responsible adults, leaving Doofus without the power to be richer than his parents. They were all making plans for Boyd to come and sleepover at McDuck when the duck and the rooster that were missing came into the room. Dewey was the first one to ask for the cybernetic boy to come over.
"Well, I have no problem with it," Donald said in his normal voice.
"May I go, Dr Gearloose?" Boyd asks, looking up to the scientist.
"Maybe some other time, we still have to check if there is any residual damage from Beaks viruses on you," The chicken explains and pats the real boy on the head.
"Alright, thank you Dr Gearloose,"
Not long after the duck family is leaving, as well as Dr Fenton. Manny also retreated to his quarters soon enough. Gyro was working on Boyd wiring while the real boy was telling him about his day.
"And Mrs mom was very sad when I got to leave but she told me I can return any moment,"
"Would you like that?" Gyro asks remembering what Donald had told him. ("Make him feel listened to. Do things he likes, and if they want to do anything without you, let him be. You are not the only person in his life.")
"Yes, that would be splendid! Once my programme is clear, could we visit?" Boyd asks.
"Of Course we can," Gyro tells him as he closes the lid on the robot's head. "But now it's time to recharge so that you have all your energy for tomorrow. You have that Woodchuck-thingy you like, right?"
"Yes, my Junior Woodchuck meeting, at 9:30 sharp, remember to bring Ice-pops wood sticks," He says as if reading a remainder on a calendar while the scientist and his creation when to Boyd's room.
The room used to be a storage closet for failed projects, but they put up a sliding door to give Boyd more privacy. The real boy had a closet, a small library with a study table, a laptop, some video-games and a bed. The bed was more like a nest, with a Japanese mattress and a lot of pillows and blankets piled up to make a circular form. Boyd would usually sleep in the middle with the blankets and pillows cocooning him in warmth. Next to his bed-nest, there is a tall bulbless lamp. Doctor Gyro used to have it in his room since it was Lil Bulb's resting place, but the little rascal moved it once Boyd's room started being furnished.
"Alright, I'll drive you tomorrow and we will pick up what you need on the way," Gyro tells him as he connects wires to his back panel to charge him. "If you need anything I will be on the room next door," The chicken said. ("Always remind him that you are there for him. Kids tend to forget that,")
"Goodnight, Dr Gearloose!"
"Goodnight, Boyd!" He sees Lil Bulb climbing the lamp and posting himself on the top, before the light it emitted turned off before he leaves the room.
As soon as he is outside, the renewed scientist with a high intellect punched the air in excitement as the word "Success!" went off in his mind. When he turned to his side, heading towards his room, he saw Manny in front of his own door. The two scientists looked at each other for a while, no one moving, until the rooster fixes his clothes and his glasses.
"Not a tap from you, or your headless behind is fired," He tells the horse as he steps into his room.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another date, another morning, another day where Doctor Gyro Gearloose wakes up to another mistake made by naive and foolish Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera that he had to deal with. This time in the form of a weird duck dressed in so much black, that the scientist is willing to bet its a hobo-emo that his stupid ex-intern picked up last night. The guy looks extremely beat up and not alone. There is also that stupid pilot that hangs around McDuck and a girl duckling.
Gyro sighs frustrated and rubs his temples. He did not have time for this. He had to take Boyd to his scouts meeting and even buy something on the way there.
"Explanation, Now," Gyro demand as he goes closer and checks on the individual better.
Launchpad, Fenton and the kid, who he learns her name is Gosalyn and the daughter of said hobo-emo, tell him that Gizmoduck and Darkwing Duck had a sort of agreement. They each take turns patrolling the city, both day and night, but last night, Darkwing came upon something too big for him and Gosalyn, who Gyro was starting to realize had more brain cells than the three adults combined, called Gizmoduck for back up. The two self-proclaimed superheroes ended the job, but the one not protected by a metallic super-suit, unsurprisingly, got the worst part of the stick and ended up in here to recover.
Just as they finished explaining their night full of shenanigans, Boyd came out into the main room of the lab, wearing his Junior Woodchuck uniform and a backpack.
"Oh, hi! I am B.O.Y.D! A definitely real boy!" The android says once he notices the other unknown ducks in the room.
"I want them out of my lab by the moment I'm back, Crackshell. Understood?" Gyro threatens the other scientist, that nods in response, and then turns to Boyd. "Come on Boyd, we don't want to be late to your meeting," The boy takes his hand and the two walk to the elevator.
"It was nice to meet you!" Boyd tells the others and waves as the elevator doors close.
The two birds head to the central park of Duckberg, stopping on a convenience store on their way. Using his moped is easier and faster than any car, not needing to wait for traffic. And even if Boyd can fly, he had already told him to only use his robotic enhancements when needed. Not to mention that it also helps with one of the tips he was given yesterday. ("You have to prioritize him. Once everything is done with him, you can follow with your day,")
The reach the park fairly quickly, but when he gives Boyd the things they bought for this meeting, he notices that the backpack moves. It takes him a second to realize that Bulb never came out of the boy's room.
"Come on out Lil Bulb," He tells the backpack, and sure enough, said invention comes out of the little boy's knapsack.
"He wanted to accompany me to my Junior Woodchuck meeting," Boyd tells him. "Can he come?" ("You have to set rules, boundaries. There are things that they can't do or can't touch. And you have to tell him so, because even if it sounds obvious to you, it might not to them.")
"He can't Boyd, I need him at the lab," He explains to the real boy.
"Understood. Goodbye, Doctor Gearloose!"
"I'll see you at lunch," The scientist gets back on his moped and straps his helmet on. He notices that Lil Bulb is giving his back to him with his arm crossed, as if offended over what happened. "Oh please, don't be difficult you too,"
As he makes his way back to the underwater lab, he can't help the feeling that those three lunatic and that girl are gonna be there. Not surprisingly, when the elevator's doors ding open, the idiot, the stupid and the girl are marvelling at the facility and its contents as hobo-emo was slowly getting off the table he was laid in and stretching his column back into place.
"Gosalyn, don't touch that! You don't know what it does!" He reprimands the girl.
Gyro sighs defeated and pours himself a cup of coffee. As he sips his revival elixir, his mind wanders at the purple and black buffoon before him. The guy was in a dire need of an upgrade. He didn't scream battle-suit like Gizmo, but maybe a few gadgets and a more protective and lasting outfit would benefit him. If the guy was going to go around and try to be a nameless and unrecognised vigilante, the least he could do was have more than just a costume and a poor ensemble of sidekicks.
"Gosalyn, No, Get down from there!" Or maybe what he needed was something else.
Gyro looked at the girl duckling, who was balancing over an old cloning tube of his, and then back at the nightly superhero, who had red lines over his eyes, enormous black bags under his eyes, a stiff neck and almost ready to drop dead any second now. Analysing the facts he had, he made a decision.
"Gosalyn, Get down from there, We need to go! Now!" The dark avenger of the night kept scolding the younger duck, that still lead him nowhere.
"Here," Gyro, out of nowhere, presented a card to the shorter man. "A parenting expert, it seems like you need it,"
Drake looks between the card and the scary mad scientist twice before taking the card. Gyro left him alone once he took it to keep working on his inventions, leaving Drake to his own devices with the card.

I had a double whammy of weird dreams last night.
The first was about Ducktales and I remember the most about it. It started off with the main cast in an amusement park playing a life sized board game thingy (Duckworth won right before someone else could) But during it they’re confronted by animatronics of themselves that FOWL had turned evil. The stinger revealed that the Louie one was turned good but thought it was the real Louie. Then it cut to Louie, Fenton, Della, and somehow the HDL father in a cave trying to escape. Part of it had caved in causing Fenton and Louie’s eyes to glow green revealing Fenton was a robot too. He had one hand as a chainsaw to clear the rocks and offered to help unlock some of Louie’s programming to help escape. But Louie was scared so he pushed him...right into Della. It cut away to the father and Louie screaming. The next dream was RWBY with elements of Miraculous Ladybug. This one was all kinds of jumbled up. It involved Ruby dressed as Tinkerbell going mad with jealousy until an Akuma/Grimm Yang broke in the room? Then it cut to Ruby being freed from the same state? Then it cut back to Ruby actually being possessed? That’s when I woke up.

Productivity log #84
20-05-2019 - 26-05-2019
Good start, let see if this week will be a success as well!
Monday
I'm fresh home from the family weekend thingy. I ended up playing starcraft all day after work. Woop woop. So nothing productive done!
Tuesday
During work I chatted a friend up on discord. The chitchatting turned into a game idea! I started on it during my lunch break and once I got home, I continued on it until the tiredness overwhelmed me, as it does. The exact nature of the game is still gonna be a secret. Only that it's an HTML5 thing and will be hosted on my raspberry pi later!
Wednesday
More work was done on the game. A little bit stumped, but I'll manage. I had even ordered art of the game, but eh, it doesn't seem to live up to what I had imagined. We'll see once I get a working version going.
Thursday
I forgot to write for the first days of the week, so I just wrote them in restrospect during my lunch break at work. Apparently the boss had planned a boardgame evening, and thinking it over, I didn't want to be an asocial butt and ended up joining in. It became 20:00 before I came home. I wanted to buy milk, but the most convenient grocery store is already closed. heck.
Friday
It's absolutely pissing, I'm sick, but at least I have a short workday. Home at 12. And then I forgot to write for the rest of the day. Wah wah.
Saturday
Did good work on the HTML5 game thing! The game world works, entities spawning like they should and loss conditions works. It's not quite done yet though. I got some problem with the object that is supposed to list the entities and they seem to get deleted randomly despite that they shouldn't. I might have to implement my own linked list in javascript. We'll see!
Sunday
Starcraft. I played starcraft pretty much all day. Went out voting, made some delicious food, caught up on DuckTales and then had planned some productivity. Got dragged into Jackbox, that are usually fun, but I really didn't feel for hanging out with a big group today. meh and bleh.
Conclusion
Got an idea and started executing it. Sounds good to me, despite wobbly week.
