I assume you're pretty bummed about the Lilo and Stitch remake being... how it is, then?
I've been a Sonic fan so long and have seen all the different takes on the world and characters. So I'm aware all writers have their own style and show certain aspects of Sonic's personality more than other traits, some write him more laid back and cool, others show his short temper or his quietness in the forefront, and others show his kindness and joking side. I've learned to not take that stuff seriously or let it ruin my enjoyment of some of that media. That's not to say the media itself doesn't deserve some criticism or that I think it's flawless. It's just the nature of having multiple hands on an IP as big as Sonic.
But I have never seen such blatant character and story assassination as this remake has done. spoiler rant incoming
IT WAS SO EASY DISNEY THIS WAS AN EASY WIN??? I know they already made so much money so they don't care. I was not looking forward to this remake at all. I at least thought it would be medicore I knew story changes would probably happen that it would not be a 1:1 movie. That's fine that's okay to have some story beat differences or scene changes as long as the heart and message of the film come through. But that ending is disgusting and insulting.
How does the freaking sonic movies do found family better than LILO AND STITCH?! The OG Lilo and Stitch probably was one of the first kids entertainment that brought the attention of found families and unconventional families to mainstream media. Why would you butcher Nani's character like that? Why is Jumba the villain? HE'S NOT EGGMAN HERE. That's NOT his character, Jumba actually cares and loves and takes pride in all his experiments they are basically his children. It's stupid to make him the villain or at least not be redeemed by learning from watching Stitch himself change.
Having Nani give up Lilo to CPS so she can go to college is just stupid and wrong. The original Nani wanted Lilo in her life so badly she did give up a ton of stuff for herself. Yeah I would have loved to see her finally pursue some things for herself but she was willing to temporarily put that aside because Lilo was more important and their relationship meant way more and as Nani told cobra bubbles in the movie, “I’m the only one who understands, if you take that away she won’t stand a chance.” She’s the only one who gets Lilo and what she’s going through. Lilo is also a troubled child and Nani is worried no one will understand that or give Lilo the patience and care she needs. she already lost her parents she wasn't ready to lose her sister too, she was willing to fight for Lilo, you don't feel that in the live action film. Lilo is already bullied by her peers. Before Stitch Nani was the only person on Lilo's side. I don't care Nani has a ring power/portal gun and can still see Lilo. That's not the same.
ALSO YOU ARE IN HAWAII you can learn marine biology right there!!! WHY ARE YOU GOING TO CALIFORNIA??? Nani really just needed a support system that's why the aliens moving in took pressure off Nani so she could work. Having the friendly neighbor is fine but it kinda already offers a solution in the beginning of the movie. The neighbor could babysit and offer support. It takes away the stakes of Lilo and Nani situation right away. You could have the community come together at the end to offer support to Lilo and Nani and still have Nani keep custody of Lilo without sacrificing Nani's dreams. I don't know there's just so many ways to fix that ending and still have the Ohana message.
Stitch's arc is also greatly lacking without the ugly duckling scene or having him be honest with Lilo that he is an alien.
Lilo and Stitch means a lot to me, I had just turned 9 when the original film came out, I remember the trailers and I had never wanted to see a movie so badly. I have never felt that way for any other movie since. I knew nothing about that film but knew I had to see it. It inspired my art style as well, I love all the rounded shapes and character designs, the water color backgrounds. I have a very close friend who I consider a sister even though we aren't related, I have that movie to thank for that. Lilo and stitch has spin off media as well like the anime, manga, comics, Stitch and Ai but they at least honor the source material better than Disney's own remake. But also please don't harass people who do happen to like the remake or at least aspects of it. It's just not for me but if others can find enjoyment out of it good for them.
#asks#lilo and stitch#disney#I apologize I am normally not this angry at media#I don't know if this was cooperate meddling or something else but it's bad#long post

“I can’t believe Nani gave Lilo up for adoption.”
oh wow. I mean yeah what an amazing twist
“this new movie is a travesty, the point of the original was ‘Ohana means family, but in this new movie, Nani gives Lilo to the state and goes to college.’” - all influencers currently
oh gee yeah what a travesty
man I never thought about it that way, huh, I guess it is the exact opposite of the first movie. man, I…
I wish someone had like…warned me. Before anyone had to like
spend money on it. I wish someone out here had said, “hey, this movie is going to suck so just don’t go.”
I wish someone had warned me before influencers could earn their keep by paying Disney to make movies they can create hate-content about for the price of admission
Like if only somebody had said “this movie is going to invert and destroy the movie you actually like and get you to pay for it by playing the music you love and flashing a cute bunny-puppy named Stitch in front of you”
I mean. If only there were some way we could like. Be able to tell. That the movie is going to be a bottomless roast of the original. BEFORE anyone had to buy a ticket. If only we could have FIGURED THAT OUT without going to actually see and therefore support the movie.
If only we could. Like, watch the old movie. See very clearly what was good about it (Lilo is afraid of everybody leaving her so that’s why she takes pictures of tourists, I.e. transient people in her life, as if they’re safari animals and not real people / Stitch and Lilo are the same height because Stitch is a future version of what Lilo could be thematically after losing everyone; he has nothing and nobody, and so he’s destructive / Stitch is evil to the core and never even considers “being good” so that makes LILO’s actual love for him that much more powerful, because he DIDN’T do anything to deserve it / Gantu is the villain because you need a larger-than-life bulldozer of a law enforcer to be the one that literally rips Lilo away from her world, to contrast with Cobra Bubbles, who was not an evil insensitive bulldozer but was representing “taking Lilo away” / Jumba is redeemed because if his little disgusting monster that he knows is only built for destruction can find a family that loves him maybe he can too so he helps rescue Lilo, because “after all you put me through you expect me to help you just like that?!” and Stitch says “yes” because Stitch just learned that that’s the kind of love Lilo has been giving him the whole time / Stitch is named “Stitch” because Lilo knows she has a broken family and he ‘stitches’ them back together, and she’s weird and names things after the first words that come to her mind / Stitch doesn’t wear a collar and leash because in Kokaua Town it’s a sleepy little village with no leash-laws where pets roam free, not a big city like the kind stitch was invented to destroy / Nani is Lilo’s example of that unconditional love; she is a freshman, she has had a life of her own since lilo was a baby even before their parents died, she COULD leave Lilo to go back to that life especially when Lilo’s naughty which is why she suggests Nani “sell her’ in their first fight, she’s always afraid Nani will ditch her like her parents left life and tourists leave the island and Stitch leaves them briefly but NANI NEVER LEAVES HER and ALWAYS fights for her, that’s how Lilo knows to love Stitch the same way even though he wrecks her stuff and pushes her down / The Ugly Duckling is in the movie because Stitch needs to understand why he feels empty and start hunting for a place to belong, like what Lilo has with Nani / David needs to be interested in Nani romantically and willing to help even when she won’t go out with him, even after he learns everybody is an alien, because he’s is Nani’s example of unconditional love, doesn’t matter what they can all DO for him / Lilo needs to know that Stitch is an alien because it makes her fighting for him at the end of the movie even after he blew up her house with the other aliens the final knockout blow of her amazing love for him)
Just a few really good things we could see. Like, maybe by watching the first movie. And then easily be able to tell, maybe from like, changes made in the trailer or the casting list. That this remake is going to ruin it. Stuff like that, if we could do that, maybe nobody would’ve watched it.
What a world it would be if that were only possible.

I watched the original Lilo and stitch a couple weeks ago, and then watched the remake today so I could properly compare and contrast these two movies.
There are.. SO many problems with the remake. It's not just the blatant "HEY NATIVES!!! GIVE YOUR KIDS UP TO THE STATE AND COME TO THE MAINLAND FOR A BETTER LIFE!!!" propaganda shoved in, but I want to talk about a lot of the other grievances the remake gave me.
So many things were changed, yet it still desperately tries to convey the same themes and messages from the original movie.. which ultimately makes EVERYTHING feel incredibly forced. Every character was also assassinated.
I know they cut Captain Gantu for budget reasons but Jumba did NOT work as villain.
In the original, Stitch is viewed as a simple weapon of mass destruction- something that must be destroyed. The remake suggests IMMEDIATELY that he has sentience, which takes away from a lot of the development with Stitch's character. In the original, he goes through an arc where he realizes that he's alone in a world where nobody but a little outcasted girl wants him. He slowly comes to realize as he lives with Lilo, that he has nobody who ever loved him like Nani loved her sister. Stitch realizes that he can be something so much more than a simple killing machine, and learns empathy.
Jumba and Peakly who are watching him too, learn that Stitch could be more than just a simple menace to society.
ANYWAY IN THE REMAKE, STITCH ALREADY HAS EMPATHY AND JUMBA WANTS TO REMOVE IT TO MAKE HIM A SOULLESS WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION.
Also, in the original, Stitch is ironically the "stitch" that brings Nani and Lilo's broken family together. Yes, he comes destroying everything in the beginning, but by the end of the movie, he was the one who brought Nani an entire support system so she WOULDN'T lose her ONLY REMAINING family member to THE STATE.
Nani fought SO hard to keep her little sister in her custody, because she loved her and didn't want her to be left behind. When she overheard Lilo praying for an angel to come down and be her friend, Nani WENT OUT OF HER WAY TO BUY LILO A DOG.
In the remake, Nani couldn't really stand Lilo. Every moment they were supposed to be bonding just felt so incredibly forced. To be fair, a LOT of stuff felt incredibly forced in the remake, but god. Nani very quickly came to the idea that giving Lilo up was the way to go. She didn't fight to keep her sister like she did in the original, but she WILLINGLY MADE HER DECISION TO GIVE LILO UP.
Anyway, remake Nani hears her sister's prayers, and Lilo ends up going to a RANDOM NEIGHBOR CHARACTER to BEG her to get her a dog... Who just agrees????
The scene where Stitch realizes he doesn't have a family comes too early on, and is forced. THE UGLY DUCKLING SCENE IN THE ORIGINAL WAS SO IMPORTANT, BECAUSE THAT WAS THE TURNING POINT FOR HIS CHARACTER. In the remake, he basically just goes "stitch has no family" and then Lilo starts singing the song (Aloha ‘Oe) that Nani sung to her in the original when she had given up ALL hope, as Lilo was going to be forcibly taken away from her by the government.
In the remake, Aloha ‘Oe doesn't even hit because Nani never had the same bond with Lilo as she did in the original, and she literally just made the decision (pretty quickly) to just give up her sister.
Also the fact Peakly in the remake was SO giddy to work with Jumba, whereas in the original he was RIGHTFULLY apprehensive with working with a mad scientist and convicted criminal.
ANYWAY. SO. Now for what you've all probably been waiting for. It's actually really disgusting with how they went about with the movie's ending. Why did NANI, a NATIVE HAWAIIAN, decide to travel to the MAINLAND for A MARINE BIOLOGY PROGRAM. Hawaii is literally known for it's fucking marine biology programs dude, she didn't need to go to the mainland. That just doesn't make sense.
The fact they wrote Lilo wanting her sister to leave and "be happy" is so vile. And they try to thinly justify it by giving Nani a portal gun lololol.
Oh. The whole O'HANA scene was also diabolical. Nani deadass telling a literal 6 year old that she needed to "live in reality" like dude.. she's 6. Also the remake heavily implies that instead of their parents being dead, they just.. left??
"O'hana means family, and being in a family means nobody gets left behind"
"BUT THEY LEFT US BEHIND!!!" Like what??? Did the writers explicitly change the fact their parents were DEAD to just... abandon them without reason????
A lot of the emotions the remake tries to convey just don't work. The writers shoved in the famous scenes and quotes without any real understanding of what they represented in the original. Most of the characters were mischaracterized terribly, and ultimately dumbed down. The critiques of tourists in native Hawaii were all removed.<THEY MADE THE ICE CREAM TOURIST MAN A NATIVE HAWAIIAN???Do not get me started on what they did to Cobra Bubbles. David was dumbed down to a mere comic relief dumbass.
The ice cream gag also felt forced.
Peakly and Jumba are humans for most of the remake.
Peakly isn't crossdressing.
The remake had UPTOWN FUNK AND THE SCREAMING GOAT MEME.
Anyway. One more thing. The reason Nani was able to support Lilo in the original was that SHE GAINED A SUPPORT SYSTEM AT THE END OF THE MOVIE. SHE HAD DAVID, PEAKLY AND JUMBA. AND OF COURSE, LILO HAD STITCH- WHO WAS HER ONLY REAL FRIEND. THE REMAKE TAKES THIS AWAY AND INSTEAD GOES "yeah you don't have the resources to take care of your sister that you don't even like, now come to the mainland for a better life lol."
IN THE ORIGINAL, LILO NEEDED STITCH BECAUSE SHE FELT ALONE AND OUT OF PLACE IN THE WORLD, A FEELING STITCH WOULD COME TO REALIZE IN THE ORIGINAL. This is already long as fuck but this was a major reason why "This is my family. I found it all on my own. It is broken, but good. Yeah, still good" WORKED IN THE ORIGINAL. STITCH FINALLY FOUND HIS FAMILY AND HIS PLACE IN THE WORLD. HE FOUND WHERE HE WAS TRULY WANTED. HE FOUND HIS O'HANA!!! THE REMAKE REMOVED ALL OF THIS YET KEPT THE FUCKING QUOTE.
Remake Lilo doesn't even have her ELVIS OBSESSION BRO!!! She didn't make Stitch IMITATE ELVIS because she thought Elvis was a model citizen!!!! ALL THE FUNNY LITTLE QUIRKS THAT MADE LILO AN INTERESTING CHARACTER ARE GONE!!!!!!!!!!! SHE HAD BEEN REDUCED TO NOTHING!!!!!!!!!! NO VOODOO!!! NO REAL BEAT DOWN!!! (She literally pushed Myrtle and like even THAT felt forced.)
God this is already long enough but my time has come where I can finally fucking spew my hatred for the remake properly because HOLY FUCK watching it was the most exhausting, yet infuriating experience I've ever had. IT'S SOULLESS. THE REMAKE IS A MASSIVE NOTHING BURGER AND A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME.
Dude I just thought of another thing too. In the original, CPS felt like a real threat. Through the character of Cobra Bubbles, they were able to convey the emotion of fear- what Nani felt with the threat of losing Lilo. And as a viewer, you felt that same fear WITH Nani.
In the remake, he's replaced with some lady who genuinely just isn't intimidating and losing Lilo doesn't even feel like a threat to Nani at all. Doesn't feel like a threat to the viewers OR the character.
I genuinely do not understand people who support this movie, but these people will just mindlessly consume whatever fucking slop put in front of them as long as it has the funny blue alien koala dog in it.

i heard manager series?
I have been summoned
also wym angst season 🙁 tis the season of JOY and you’re BREAKING MY HEART (plz continue🤭)
-🐹
HELPP ME for me december is the season of ✨angst ✨ idk why it just IS. but my 12 days of christmas is gonna be all fluff
yes i miss manager series sm, let’s do some headcanons rn now that im thinking about it 🤗 (yes these were in my notes ive been waiting for this)
The freshmen this season are clingy. They immediately latch onto you like baby ducklings and are constantly looking for your approval.
Paige jokes that you’ve got “new toddlers,” but she secretly gets a little jealous when they monopolize your attention. KK is quick to remind them who the original favorite is:
KK: “Y’all can hang out with manager, but don’t forget—I built this relationship.”
TikTok remains a chaotic mess this season, with you reluctantly dragged into every challenge, dance and prank video.
The team introduces a new “Manager Cam,” where they document your reactions during games and road trips.
Fans are OBSESSED.
Paige once stole your phone mid-practice and went live, narrating your every move
Paige: “And here we have the elusive manager in her natural habitat, organizing chaos like a queen.”
You: “Paige, I will delete all your playlists.”
Manager x Paige Moments
Still Keeping it Low-Key (Kinda)
By this point, the team knows about your relationship, but Paige insists on keeping the PDA subtle.
Subtle... except for the way she stares at you during team meetings or how she casually drapes her arm over your chair during dinner.
The freshmen think Paige’s protectiveness is just a team thing until they catch her sneaking forehead kisses when she thinks no one’s looking.
Game Day Rituals
Paige starts a pre-game ritual where she insists on a “good luck hug” from you before every game. The team starts teasing her about it relentlessly.
Azzi: “You’re so subtle, P.”
Paige: “Jealous?”
Fans compile videos of Paige hyping you up on live streams, TikTok, and Instagram.
Paige’s favorites: Paige scrolling through your phone gallery: “My wife’s an artist, guys.”
You ranting about the chaos in the locker room: “You’re so cute when you’re mad, P.”
Paige caught staring at you for the 500th time.
Long Bus Rides = Chaos
The team uses bus rides to get creative with pranks, and you’re often their favorite target.
One time, they taped a life-size cutout of Paige to your seat, captioning it “Manager’s emotional support girlfriend.” You pretended to be mad but secretly found it hilarious.
Paige’s retaliation? She confiscated all the Red Bulls, leaving the team in a sleepy stupor for the next bus rides
Late-Night Conversation
On late-night rides back to campus, you and Paige always end up huddled together in the back of the bus, whispering about anything and everything.
KK once tried to eavesdrop but got caught immediately.
You: “What’re you doing, KK?”
KK: “Uh... team bonding?”
Locker Room Drama and Resolutions aka Conflict Mediator Extraordinaire
This season, you’ve become the go-to person for resolving team drama.
Paige jokingly calls it “Momager Diplomacy,” but you take the role seriously, ensuring the team stays united.
Your “manager death stare” remains undefeated. A single look from you has even the loudest arguments settling within seconds.
Manager Popularity Skyrockets
Thanks to the “Manager Cam” and your frequent appearances on team socials, fans are OBSESSED with you.
A TikTok trend emerges where fans recreate your iconic death stare. Paige films herself trying to imitate it and fails miserably.
Paige: “I just don’t have the same terrifying... yet oddly hot... energy.”
Despite the team knowing, fans are still speculating about your relationship with Paige.
A clip of Paige adjusting your hoodie during a timeout goes viral, with fans captioning it: “Wife behavior.”
Paige still leans on you heavily, especially during stressful games or tough days.
After one particularly hard loss, you stayed up with her in the hotel lobby, holding her hand while she vented.Paige: “I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
You: “Luckily, you’ll never have to find out.”

Alright I JUST rewatched Lilo & Stitch (ORIGINAL!!!) bc I wanted to ensure I knew WTF I was talking about.
Also, some spoilers for the live action remake
First- the ugly duckling story. Paired w seeming to realize that at the very least something is “wrong” (seeing that Cobra Bubbles speaking to Nani causes her to become distressed, & by extension Lilo) causes Stitch to go into the woods hoping to find HIS family. Here he is found by Jumba, who tells him he doesn’t have one, and that his only purpose is to destroy.
Right there seems to be his true turning point- he does run back to Lilo, but while Jumba says “hiding behind your little friend won’t work anymore” he had already been taking on more of… a protective stance? He wasn’t behind her, he was crowding her & looking around, even standing between her & the sound of Jumba bustin in. He pushes her outta the way and keeps her away from danger to the best of his ability while also juggling the fight with Jumba.
Nani yells at Bubbles about taking Lilo, because despite trying to convince Lilo that sometimes change has to happen, and sometimes people have to leave, she DESPERATELY does NOT want to be separated from Lilo.
After Lilo and Stitch are caught by Gantu, Stitch’s escape & recapture by Jumba & Pleakley, he convinces Jumba to help rescue Lilo. Jumba does seem more so intrigued in the moment, but nevertheless the three aliens & Nani give chase.
In the end, after a collective effort between Stitch (simply by being reformed) Bubbles (who reminds Lilo that she bought Stitch) & the sisters (also just by being kind, loving, and sad at the thought of Stitch leaving, bc as he said they’re O’hana now) Stitch, Jumba, and Pleakley are left on earth.
Immediately after we see David, Pleakley, Jumba, AND Bubbles helping the sisters with rebuilding the house. We also get a few scenes of this family having grown to include not only Pleakley AND Jumba, but ALSO Bubbles. Everyone, including Bubbles, in casual clothes hanging out doing various things, as well as everyone together for thanksgiving in the final collage of photos.
Jumba & Bubbles are a part of the family. The family staying PHYSICALLY together is IMPORTANT because it’s not just what the sister’s need, but they truly want it- they love each other fiercely & as far as I know family is also INCREDIBLY important to the culture, which the original Lilo & Stitch did fairly well with showing appreciation for despite, in a sense, being a “minor” topic that most likely didn’t think twice about. Iirc, the original creators did a fair amount of research into Hula for accuracy. Also, Lilo specifically photographs tourists to essentially “flip the script” on how they treat the island(s) and native Hawaiians.
Bubbles being former CIA with experience with aliens, now a CPS employee is important bc he utilizes both the knowledge of aliens and his genuine care for the well-being of others (in this case Lilo) to help this family.
Jumba being the reformed villain instead of purely the villain results in rescuing Lilo, as stitch couldn’t manage on his own and Pleakley is the beloved historian/geologist/conservationist who is NOT equipped with the knowledge of how to do all this crazy shit Jumba knows how to do & Stitch is willing to figure out. If the L. A. movie basically made Pleakley a combo of the two, then they significantly watered down Jumba (an incredibly smart individual who seemed to pick up on the fact that Pleakley was being insensitive/unhelpful w Nani’s pleading & distress, as he shoved Pleakley to the side to gently explain that they only came for Stitch) while dramatically altering Pleakley bc (IMO) the appeal is the fact that they balance each other out, much like Nani and Lilo, and by extension each character in the end (seen in the other movies & the show) tend to play off each other well, generally complimenting one another and creating a larger, cohesive unit, even if they are a bit odd.
Essentially: Lilo & Stitch (OG) is like… alien Addams Family.
The L. A. Remake, with Jumba being purely a villain, Bubbles being purely a CIA agent (and also seemingly a villain of sorts instead of more like… an oppositional force?), and Nani giving up Lilo to the state (especially with the context that she apparently does so bc of Lilo being hurt and needing medical care that she can’t afford so the state would have to pay for it) is… not only a disservice to the original move and the message, but also is so… disgusting honestly.
It sounds almost as though it’s sort of… not quite “romanticizing” or “glorifying”, but still painting the loss of custody as a “good” thing, as something that should almost be appreciated as an option? When… with the family together, as it’s meant to be, is unnecessary but also for anyone w a bit of knowledge about the system & indigenous people being separated from their families, is extra fuckin disgusting quite frankly. Like… if the state has the money to pay for the child’s medical care, house & feed them, etc… why not save some money & JUST help the family with the costs of medical care??? Hell, Mr. “Former CIA agent, turned CPS worker” could have played a wonderful part right there in pulling some fuckin strings depending on how they could have written the movie.

jeno, tangled ♡

⤷ summary : y/n, an innocent, young girl, is locked up by her overly protective mother. her wish to escape into the world outside finally comes true when she meets the good-hearted thief, jeno.
annas note : the third of the series! i had originally paired this with jaemin but then i had an even better idea for him so here you go jeno - you can have tangled! please enjoy!
prev | next | masterlist

jeno had agreed to take you to see the lanterns - on one term, you agreed to give his satchel with a crown from the palace in it back to him. he couldn't pass up on it.. not when he needed it. so here he is with you as you're investigating everything outside and panicking over what your mum is going to think.. then you're happy and promising yourself you are never going back!!
oh, no, you're slumped against a tree sobbing into your arms. he ushers you up, passing you back your weapon (a frying pan) and pascal who he claims is a frog (actually a chameleon but yeah!). "here's your pan, here's your frog." he says before you shake your head, "no. i'm seeing those lanterns." you're quite stern with him. uhh.. he doesn’t have a choice, does he?
"oh come on! what's it gonna take to get my satchel back?!" he groaned out in response. he regrets agreeing. "are you hungry?" he asked. apparently, he knew a place and it's called the snuggly duckling except when you walk in.. all you see is buff men who look a lot like what your mum warned you about - ruffians. you're a bit intimidated and scared nonetheless, what the hell is he thinking bringing you here!?
you soon find out they're actually really nice and as the royal guards burst through the door, asking where jeno is, one of the thugs opens a secret latch door that's hidden under the bar for you. you smile, he speaks up.. a rough voice, "go live your dream." "i will." jeno responds.
"your dream stinks. i was talking to her." he scoffed as jeno crawled down into the tunnel. you smile, "thanks for everything," you say softly as you give the thug a soft kiss on the cheek before following behind jeno.
"where are you from, blondie?" you raise a brow, "what about you?"
"i don't do backstory."

after a crazy chase with a damn horse and the royal guards, escaping a near death experience trapped under water.. you finally made it to the palace, sitting in a boat with jeno by your side. you can't lie, you both have grown quite fond of each other. you're thankful you're able to enjoy this beautiful moment on your birthday, with.. jeno, of course but it's been your dream since you were little and you're finally here.
you were awestruck, looking at all the lanterns in the sky that were floating around you. the stars in the sky helped make everything look so much prettier and your heart felt so full.. it was such a pretty sight to behold.
you almost forgot about jeno who was sitting behind you so you turn around, ready to ask if he was alright but you see him holding two lanterns in his hands. one for you, one for him. you couldn't help the smile that plastered its way onto your lips as you took it gently from him. you hand his satchel back to him and he.. just takes it and places it behind him, not really caring about it at the moment. he watches as you lift the lantern and give it a soft push into the air, watching as it ascends. he did the same but he just couldn't keep his eyes off of you.
you looked so happy and in your element, pointing out how pretty they looked against the river you were floating on.. your eyes shining and your lips as they let out a soft gasp, helping push a lantern back into the air before it could hit the water.
jeno reached out and took one of your hands in his, a small smile playing at his lips as you turn to face him. your heart was racing. he was a sight to behold like this.. a soft golden glow on his face despite how dark it was where you two were, how perfect his features are to you like: his nose, his lips, his hair as it just about covers his eyes, his brown eyes that look at you with such a gentle and loving gaze.
you both lean in, noses pressed up before jeno tilts his head, a free hand taking your cheek in a considerate grip. he pressed his lips against yours.. the feeling of your lips sent a shiver down his back, his hand gripping onto your hand just a little tighter. you melt into it and move a hand to the back of his nape.

Cute Lucifer, Lilith, and baby Charlie headcanons
Under the cut so I don't dash stretcher spam someone
Was absolutely overjoyed when Lilith told him he was going to be a father. Probably got teary-eyed let's be real.
Immediately started planning stuff with Lilith even though they had nine months, he wanted to be prepared.
Really hated seeing Lilith feeling ill and not feeling good in general. Helped her with whatever he could.
It got to the point that he became a little too helpful and overprotective. Lilith had to quickly remind him that she could still do plenty of things.
Before they decided on names, he'd call the baby "Duckling"
Originally thought it would've been strange talking to Duckling before they were born but sort of fell into the habit of it. Started telling hem about everything.
Charlie definitely recognized both of her parents' voices when she was born because of this.
Lucifer and Lilith going baby clothes shopping! Once they found out they were having a girl, Lucifer had the urge to buy all the cutest little dresses.
Attempted to build the crib but didn't understand the instructions (Lilith had to help)
Multiple instances of reality sinking in for him that he was going to be a father which caused some anxiety about if he'd be good at being a father or not.
He and Lilith were there for each other about each of their worries, which helped.
Reading a lot of baby books helped too.
Panicked more than Lilith when she went into labor but quickly managed to pull himself together because he didn't want to make it worse.
Was by Lilith's side the whole time, never wanted to leave her. Most supportive husband.
Definitely cried a little when Charlie was born.
Fun fact one of the first colors babies see is red, which means Charlie really paid attention to her dad's eyes 🥹
He came up with the Char Char nickname soon after she was born.
Loved to hold her, loved all the "baby cuddles" as he put it.
Got so much cute aggression/overwhelmed with love that he'd bury his face into Lilith's shoulder (while they were all cuddling together) and mutter about how he couldn't take how cute Charlie was.
His favorite thing to do was kiss the cute little circles on Charlie’s cheeks.
Lucifer always volunteered to take care of Charlie when she woke up in the night or at the very least brought Charlie to her mother so Lilith wouldn't have to get out of bed to feed her.
He loved all the important skin-to-skin time, holding a sleepy Charlie against his chest and hear her calm breathing.
Both parents made sure to keep a baby book and write in it constantly as well as taking baby photos.
There was no reason for either of them to wear their usual fancy clothes so Lucifer and Lilith were out here wearing t-shirts and sweat pants on a regular basis.
Lucifer got really excited when Charlie entered her babbling stage. Would always talk to her despite getting babbles in response.
Lucifer and Lilith singing lullabies to Charlie is a given.
Lucifer and Lilith having a friendly competition to see if Charlie would say Mama or Dada first.
Charlie ended up saying Duck. (Lucifer considered it a win)
Her second word was Mama. And then Dada was third.
Lucifer actively holding back tears when he'd hear Charlie’s happy giggles.
Lucifer doing the parent thing of pretending to eat her little fingers and feet to make her laugh.
Lucifer: "Charlie can crawl now!" *realizing his baby can basically free roam now" "Charlie can crawl now... oh no"
They extra baby proofed the castle when that happened.
Lucifer and Lilith cheering and encouraging Charlie when she took her first steps.
Lucifer and Lilith trying not to laugh when Charlie would try new foods like ice cream or a lemon.
*Charlie lovingly aggressively patting Lucifer's face* Lucifer: "Charlie, I know you're a baby and you're not good at this yet, but you're going to take my eye out"
Whenever Charlie does a certain thing, Lilith and Lucifer discuss who she learned it from.
Charlie copying her father's expressions a lot and Lilith laughing saying how similar they are (Lucifer doesn't see it)
*that one scene from Modern Family but it's Lucifer and Lilith trying to get Charlie out of the car after accidentally locking her in*
Lucifer flying while holding Charlie and letting her "fly" around the castle.
Lilith is always like "Not too high!"
Lucifer carrying Charlie around in a baby carrier or sling(?)
Lucifer coming up with excuses every time he brings Charlie to a meeting.
Lilith very gently playing "toss little Charlie like a sack of potatoes" on the bed or anywhere with a lot of cushions (Lucifer almost always has an aneurysm watching this despite nothing bad happening)
Charlie always getting plenty of cuddles and kisses from her parents :')
Lilith: "Luce, you can't cry every time Charlie cries..." Lucifer 😢 "watch me"
Charlie’s parents always telling her bedtime stories.
Lucifer: "Charlie fell asleep on me and now I can't move"
Charlie having glow up stars on her bedroom ceiling that work as night lights.
Lucifer out somewhere with Charlie: "It's getting late, I better get this one home" Charlie, sleepy but fighting it: "No.. no, no, no" Lucifer amused: "Yesss"
Charlie going to her parents every time there's loud thunder or something and them holding her and making her feel safe.
Charlie having bad dreams and insisting on sleeping in her parents' bed when she's scared. (Lucifer can never tell her no)
Little Charlie trying to get her parents' attention: "Look! Look! Watch!" *does a little spin and a hop* Lucifer and Lilith clapping: "Good job!!"
Lilith: "Charlie, we color on paper, not the floor" Charlie: "No I just 'tending" Lilith: "But you are coloring the floor, do you want some paper?" Charlie aggressively shoving the crayons away: "All done!"
Charlie always coming up with the craziest games to play. Lucifer is constantly confused but goes along with it.
Lucifer and Lilith telling each other crazy things Charlie did at the end of the day after she's gone to bed.
Lucifer getting emotional every now and then about how fast Charlie is growing up. :( Lilith's feels the same and they try to comfort each other.
Ending on a happier note, Charlie drawing pictures for her parents. Lilith keeps them on the fridge. Lucifer keeps some framed in his office.
That's all I have for now.

I am sorry just listened to a review of the Lilo and Stitch remake and I am SEETHING
Spoilers for anyone who cares about being spoiled by trash
What do you MEAN Nani loses custody??? Like, that was THE major conflict on the human side!!! Yes, Nani wasn't perfect, she was young and had difficulty handling the switch from "big sister" to "parental figure"
But the WHOLE POINT of the movie, and the reason why Cobra Bubbles keeps giving Nani chance after chance, is that their family was WORTH FIGHTING FOR!
Yes it was small and messy and flawed, but it was still good. That's the whole point. THEY, all of them, Nani and Lilo and Stitch and David and later Jumbaa and Pleaky, they were all a mess, but they FOUND each other and LOVED each other and they MADE IT WORK.
But no, apparently now Nani isn't the one who gets Lilo a dog, she DOES blame Lilo after losing her job, and blithely leaves Lilo to their old lady neighbour because eh, she can visit anyway.
Like, a very subtle but very present element to the original WAS that Nani was sacrificing everything for Lilo. She had to give up her athletic pursuits, and she was reluctant to date, but she never complained about that, NEVER, because she didn't want to give up her sister. She never resented Lilo for it, she loved Lilo with all her heart, because Lilo was more important than the rest of this stuff. It was unfair and it was messy, but it was their ohana. No one left behind or forgotten.
But nah, let's throw in a new character who takes Lilo away and destroy one of the core emotional elements of the movie. It's fine. Nani can go live her life and visit sometimes. And fuck you if you ever found yourself being a caretaker for a younger sibling and related to Nani.
No ugly duckling story either, apparently. I guess children nowadays just don't deserve movies with a strong emotional core.
Like, I can understand the desire to say "Hey Nani is a kid herself and she deserves to pursue her dreams", but there are like 10 different ways to do that without her losing custody of her baby sister.
#i am foaming at the mouth#i hate this so so much#i refuse to go see it#there are four movies a tv show and an anime#plenty of stuff to watch that doesn't completely ignore the story's themes#fuck you disney#fuck. you.#lilo and stitch#lilo and stich 2025

Summaries of AUs that only exist in my head:
and we'll take the long way home
"Here," Midoriya blurts out, shoving a piece of paper in his hands. "That's ah. That's my address. And my number. So if you ever need a place to stay- or just! Just want to hang out, I guess, we could- go to my place? Or the park or the beach or anywhere, really. Not that you can't go there anyway, hah, but-"
"Midoriya," he cuts in. Opens his mouth, closes it. Hesitates. Then: "Thank you. I'll text you."
---
In a world where the dorms system is never implemented, Midoriya Izuku and Todoroki Shouto hang out on rooftops, wander the city, run from the police, get shipped, get banned from McDonalds, try very hard to flirt and only succeed on accident. Not necessarily in that order.
(Or, in a world where the dorms system is never implemented, they take the long way home)
2. here's to the ones that we got
"Okay. Okay so I know this is really, really hard to believe but I need you to bear with me, here." Izuku pauses and examines Todoroki to make sure he is bearing with him, here. Then continues, very fast: "I'm haunted."
"I believe you."
"I know how it sou- wait what."
"Midoriya," Todoroki says gravely "You are the last good person on earth. I would believe you if you told me that cartoon birds do you hair every morning. This is nothing."
----
So the thing is- Izuku is almost definitely haunted. This is, possibly, a Problem. Fortunately he has a ride-or-die best friend whom he trusts more than anything to confide in. Unfortunately, his best friend is fucking bonkers and probably owns a tin-foil hat.
Staring down Todoroki, who has an excited gleam in his eyes, an Oujia board, and three pots filled with liquids of suspicious origin, Izuku realises that he may have made a miscalculation.
(Alternatively, the vestiges try their hand at matchmaking)
3. BURY MY FEET IN CEMENT
'I'm sorry I didn't know you when we were kids. I would have iced the bruises on your back.' (-unknown)
----
Shouto feels almost betrayed as they hear the sounds of people slowly, carefully removing the rubble poised perilously over their heads. Why couldn't they have waited another hour? He-he doesn't want to leave yet. But he glances at his new(first)(and probably last) friend and says: "I guess this is it."
Another piece is removed and beams of sunlight penetrate through the cracks and make patterns on the floor. Izuku reaches across and takes his hand and squeezes. "No," he says, with more stubbornness and certainty than his nine-year old frame should logically be able to contain. "It isn't"
----
Most of the time, your childhood friendships are a matter of proximity- maybe you're neighbours or classmates or maybe your parents are friends.
But sometimes, and only sometimes, you get stuck in a building collapse together for two to three hour, confess your tragic backstories, imprint on each other like semi-confused, traumatized ducklings and go to ridiculous lengths to keep in touch. An Oh My God, They Were Childhood Friends AU

Hello! I was wondering if you are up for a request. If so I was wondering if you could do something with a Yandere Lucifer(You can count this as a somewhat part 2 to your original Yandere Lucifer if y’a want) when he took us down to hell. I was think that he finds out that we can dance really well if we actually tried to(I feel like the little dance we did for him was just silly to make him leave) how would he react to that?
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPR35fxHm/
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPR35BGFM/
^here are some inspiration TikTok’s
I really enjoy your work keep it up!
I loved that! Sadly, I can't do anything happy with yandere Lucifer, but I hope that you like what I wrote! I changed the dance because I thought it wouldn't match the vibe of that fic, I hope you're okay with that!
Part 1 here!
Yandere!Lucifer X GN!Reader - Part 2
Words: 2181
Synopsis: Two weeks after being kidnapped by Lucifer, he notices that you're quite sad and decided to do something to cheer you up.

The only time you felt everything was all right was at night. At this time, Lucifer wasn't usually around, so you would sleep thinking that you weren't in hell, that it was all just a dream and that you would wake up soon in your bed, in your house.
You dreamt with your friends, your family, with your home, and everytime you woke up covered by those red blankets you felt a discomfort in your chest and your eyes filled with tears. It wasn't at all pleasant being stuck in hell. You know you hadn't died, but you didn't feel alive anymore.
Two weeks had passed since your arrival in hell, two weeks in which your life had changed abruptly without you having a choice.
You were fast asleep, dreaming of everything you wanted back, when suddenly something woke you up.
“Good morning, my love!” you hear a familiar voice. When you open your eyes, you notice Lucifer wearing his pajamas and holding a plate of pancakes, which he places on the dresser next to the bed.
It wasn't comforting seeing him as the first thing when you wake up.
You sit up, rubbing your eyes.
“Did you sleep well?” Lucifer asks, kissing your forehead and sitting next to you on the bed. You don't answer him. “I made pancakes, they're delicious! You have to try them!”
Lucifer takes one of the pancakes and eats it. You weren't making eye contact with him and he noticed, worried.
“What happened, dear?” He holds your hand. “It's been a while since I last saw your smile. Is something bothering you?"
How ridiculous. How couldn't he notice he was the one bothering you? He was the one who was ruining your life, depriving you of everything and not giving you freedom.
You sigh.
“It's nothing”.
He kept looking at you with worry in his eyes. He snapped his finger, a light bulb went off in his head, looking like he had an idea. A smile appears on his face.
“I know what can cheer you up.” he stands up, extremely excited. “Eat your breakfast, get yourself ready and come to the dancing room!”
Without you being able to answer, he ran out of the room.
You weren't in the mood to eat and get out of bed. You just wanted to get under the blankets and stay there, quietly, without anyone bothering you. You just wanted to be alone.
You took a deep breath and finally did what Lucifer asked you. You ate, changed your clothes and headed to the dancing room. When you entered, you could see Lucifer humming softly as he walked around the room.
Your breathing quickens when he notices you.
“Honey, right on time!” He approaches, hugging you. You don't hug him back. He lets go of you and walks over to a table in the corner of the room. “Come on, I've prepared everything!”
“Everything…?”
You ask, slowly walking towards him.
“The music!” He answers, touching a stereo on the table.
Music? What did he want now?
“Let's dance a bit, shall we? I think it might cheer you up! When you danced dressed as a duckling it was so cute, I loved it! But I want to see how you deal with something that is not so silly."
You arch your eyebrows. Why didn't he ask you if you wanted to do that? He always did that and you always got mad at it. He brought you stuff that you never asked for, he made you do things that you didn't want to. He never really cared for doing something that you liked to do. It was always about him, everyday was just him.
“I don't wanna dance.” You say in a low voice. You didn't even have strength to speak like you used to.
“Oh…” Lucifer gets discouraged. “But what do you want then, my love? We could watch something together, or cook together, or I can show you my new inventions! You know, I made a rubber duck that can–”
“I don't want any of those things!” You raise your voice, making the blonde startle and stop talking. “I wanna go home, I wanna see my friends, I want my life back…”
Your eyes filled with tears, the sensation of your throat closing and the discomfort in your chest showed the first signs before you could collapse crying.
For a moment, Lucifer had an annoyed expression on his face, but it soon softened and his eyes began to convey empathy. He approached you and held your face, rubbing your cheek with his thumb. He was looking at you with a comforting smile.
“My love, I hate seeing you like this…” he says, you still don't look at him. “How about that: we dance a little bit and, after that, I’ll let you see your friends. What do you think?
You look incredulously at Lucifer. Was he really serious? You could see your friends again?
You were so happy you couldn't believe that was really happening. You were so happy that you could hug Lucifer if it weren't for everything he did to you.
“Everything he did…”
No, it couldn't be true. Lucifer kidnapped you, kept you in his house and whenever you tried to escape he would left you locked up in a room without windows for hours. He wouldn't let you have any contact with the world outside, your life was just about pleasing Lucifer, talking to Lucifer and staying with Lucifer. Your life was Lucifer. Knowing him, he would never let you see your friends again.
But then, why did he said he would? What did he want, anyway? Test your loyalty to him?
You didn't know what his intention was, but you decided to believe in his words for now. He could be telling the truth, maybe he was sorry?
“Would you really do that…?” You ask, fearful.
Lucifer nods his head, still smiling.
“But you have to dance with me!”
You think about it again. If he was telling the truth, all you had to do was dance a bit with Lucifer and you could see your friends again, right? They should be worried by now, and maybe Lesley would know how to get you out of here…
Whether it was true or not, you didn't know, but you decided to try.
“All right.” you say after a long sigh. “What do you wanna dance?”
“Oh, I have so many ideas!” Lucifer goes back to the table, you follow him. “Can you dance anything other than silly dances?"
“Actually, I have done dance classes since I was a kid…” you say.
Your parents had put you in a lot of dance classes, and you grew up loving it, but after moving from your parent's house you stopped dancing often. You were a bit rusty, but it would work. It had to.
“That's great! So, how about we dance something romantic?” Lucifer asks. You could feel his flirty aura.
You nod.
Lucifer, then, puts music on the stereo and slowly approaches you with a smile. He holds your left hand, while his other hand rests on your shoulder. Your free hand was now holding Lucifer's waist. He was smaller than you, there wasn't much way to change the roles.
Lucifer didn't take his eyes off of you for a second as you two slowly danced around the room. You two were completely silent, just feeling the music and letting yourselves go, and he couldn't take his eyes off of you.
You felt uncomfortable, Lucifer always looked at you intensely, sometimes looking like he was eating you with his eyes. It was weird and most of the time you looked away, but even doing that you could feel the blonde still staring at you, and even without looking at his face, you could tell exactly when he was smiling or not.
As soon as the song ended, along with your dance, Lucifer pulled you closer. His hands held your face, and finally he pulled you for a kiss.
It wasn't everytime that you two kissed, fortunately, but whenever it happened you could feel like you were going to throw up at any moment. Lucifer tried to use his tongue with you a lot of times, but you never let him and used the excuse that you weren't ready.
It was disgusting to feel the lips of someone who didn't really cared about you.
When he stopped, you could see his red cheeks and his eyes glowing. His gaze oscillated between your eyes and your lips.
“So…” you start. “Can I–”
“I want just one more thing.” Lucifer interrupts you. You look at him curiously. “Dance for me. It can be any dance, any song, just dance for me again. Please?"
If that's what it takes to have a chance of escaping this (literally) hell, you'll do it.
You shake your head positively and go to the music player to choose a song. It was hard to choose something like that, without even having an idea of what to choose.
You close your eyes and take a deep breath, remembering when you used to dance to your parents, when you used to be alone in your room and convey your emotions through your dances. That’s it. You would use your dancing to vent again.
As soon as you've chosen the music, you get ready to start.
When the song starts, your eyes close and you let yourself be carried away by the music.
Good times for a change
Seems the luck I’ve had can make a good man turn bad
Being able to dance like this was like flying, flying in a blue sky being free to go wherever you wanted. Every second, every step you took and every turn of your body you could feel yourself free again. You weren't a prisoner in hell anymore, you were in a flowery field, feeling the breeze and breathing the fresh air.
Haven't had a dream in a long time
Seems the life I’ve had can make a good man bad
Your hands touched your chest and softened, falling beside your body, as if that simple move could take away all the weight that was inside you.
So for once in my life let me get what I want
Lord knows, it would be the first time
Your mind goes blank, and even a smile begins to appear on your face. Your expression was soft, just like your movements.
Please, please, please
Let me get what I want
All your pain had dissipated at that moment, and what remained was an intense feeling of floating.
Let me, let me, let me
Let me get what I want this time
The song ended along with your dance, leaving you with your head tilted back. You open your eyes, noticing the dark ceiling above you, making that feeling of floating disappear in a few seconds as you remembered your current situation.
As you returned to your normal posture, you looked forward just to find Lucifer, who was standing there staring at you in amazement. His eyes were shining in admiration, his mouth was ajar and his cheeks were rosy. Lucifer seemed to have been intensely touched by your dance.
“So…?” You ask, nervously.
Lucifer runs to hug you.
“I loved it! You danced so well, my sweetie, you were feeling the music and I was feeling you! You did so good, my love…” he smiles, caressing your face once more.
“Thank you…” you say. “So…can I see my friends now?”
You ask, nervousness consuming you even more when you hear Lucifer let out a laugh.
“D-did you really believe it…?” He asks between soft laughs. Your eyes widened, your head shaking wanting to deny what you’ve just heard. He couldn't be serious. “I'm not stupid, love, I know you would try to run away from me…"
Your eyes fill with tears, an even greater feeling of suffocation consumes you and you break down crying, sobbing. You fell to your knees, you were breathing fast and crying loudly, hugging yourself in search of comfort.
Lucifer knelt down, placing a hand on your shoulder.
“I can't risk losing you, you're everything I have…” Lucifer smiles, caressing your shoulder. He pulls your chin, making you look at him. “I can't risk losing you, did you understand? I’ve already lost someone important once, and I won't let that happen again."
He kisses you again, making you cry even more. He hugs you tightly, stroking your hair.
You keep hugging yourself, the pain in your chest getting worse and worse, your sobs getting louder, your thoughts getting darker and blurrier. The life you once had was now in the past, and you would never have it again, never, and that hurt so much, so much... Lucifer's words seemed to have woken you up to reality, making you realise that it really was impossible to free yourself from the chains that bound you, and that your destiny now was to stay here, with him, forever.
Well, that's it! I hope you all liked!
I guess I won't be doing more chapters to this fic, and I won't do Yandere!Lucifer anymore either
I feel bad lol, he's just a baby, he would never that
So, if you guys wanna request something other than that with Lucifer, you can!
Thank you so much for your support!! <3

OLDER SIBLING HCS: MONDSTADT EDITION. (PART ONE) - Platonic Jean, Rosaria, Lisa, Sucrose, Eula & reader
i. SUMMARY: Mondstadt characters with a younger sibling. ii. CONTENT WARNINGS: Implied death in Rosaria's part, mentions of food/eating in Jean's part. iii. NOTES: Fluff, slight angst, gn!reader, they/them pronouns used, 2.4k words. iv. A/N: i actually read rosaria's and eula's backstory for this, and wow... give my girls a break. i wanted to include everyone in here, before realizing how long it would get, so here is a part one for mondstadt girls! stay tuned for the rest of the nations (and maybe tell me who you want to see next?)
JEAN
Okay let’s be honest, while Jean is an amazing big sister while she’s there, she is rarely… there.
It isn’t out of a wilful neglect, it’s rather that as the Acting Grand Master, her schedule is so tightly packed that she barely has time to breathe, let alone taking time off for personal reasons.
When she does manage to squeeze in room for you, it is usually a short slot of time between her usual tasks. Kaeya, noticing how desperate she was in rearranging her schedule to spend time with her sibling, did her the favour of crossing off some of her tasks and handing them away to other Knights.
(When she found out it was Kaeya who was messing with her schedule, she gave him a stern talking-to. She was secretly pleased that she got to spend more time with you… even if it meant chasing down some poor subordinates to make sure her jobs actually got done properly.)
Windrise is the first place that Jean likes to take you. If it’s a warm day out, she’ll pack a picnic and spread it underneath the shade of the trees. There, she’ll tell you stories; about Vennessa, about the origins of the Gunnhildr Clan, about her own adventures during her early years as a knight.
Sometimes she will reminisce with you about when you were a kid, clinging to her arm. She’ll tell you about how as soon as you learned to walk, you would follow her around like a little duckling, one tiny fist clutching the hem of her jacket. When you got a little older, you joined her in her preparation to become a proper noble, sitting beside her in etiquette lessons and observing from the sidelines during her knightly training. Even if the lessons were painfully dull, she’d always try and keep you entertained with little games to pass the time—or as much as she could without your mother staring in disapproval.
By the time she’s done with her stories, the day would have already almost finished.
It’s pleasant; peaceful in the way that one can’t grasp the flow of time until hours have past and the two of you are curled up on a picnic blanket under a sky full of stars.
She takes you for meals at Good Hunter too, letting you order whatever is on the menu. If there isn’t anything there to your liking (or if you’re just not feeling up for it that day) she is quick to whisk you home and cook you something herself.
It’s calming for her, when she’s able to direct all her focus into one manageable task like putting together a meal. She likes pizza best—a simple, delicious meal that she can put together with minimal effort and something she can easily share with her sibling.
When the day ends, and she must go home, she’ll give you a tight hug and kiss the top of your head, with a promise that you’ll spend the day together again soon.
ROSARIA
No. 1 protective sister right here.
Like, good luck to anyone who even thinks of hurting you. Their graves are already dug by the time they turn your way.
She made a promise, after all: no matter what happened, she would protect you.
It was first made when she was only a young girl, holding an even younger child in her arms. She brought you closer, squeezing her eyes shut and whispering the words into your hair. You were far too young to realise what the words truly meant, but you would come to learn their meaning as you got a little bit older and the remote village you both called home was massacred.
The bandits that took her in were apprehensive about the tiny child clinging to her leg. After all, it’s one thing to teach a little girl how to become a crook, let alone a literal toddler. But Rosaria refused to part with you, baring her teeth and yelling and screaming at anyone who even dared to suggest leaving you behind.
Your role was their errand person, mostly. While Rosaria made sure you were seen as the smaller and feebler of the pair, letting you drift away to the shadows of the crew, she also passed on everything she learned: lockpicking, thievery, and most importantly combat.
The bandits taught her how to fight, and she taught you. It was a compromise; keeping their contact with you minimal while also teaching you the skills you needed to survive in your new life.
(Even if you rarely got to use your newfound skills. Anyone who even tried to cause you trouble were swiftly taken care of by Rosaria.)
In her eyes she was doing you a favour; if you were treated as weak and insignificant, they would forget about you. And if they forgot about you, they were less likely to hurt you.
It was a blessing from Lord Barbatos himself when the group of bandits was taken down by the Knights of Favonius, and you were both swept away from the life of bloodshed and carnage that you had spent your entire childhood surrounded by. When you faced the Grand Master, you were considered young enough and inexperienced enough to be pardoned, while Rosaria began rehabilitation via the Church of Favonius.
These days, your lives are far less hectic than your youth.
During her free time (or rather the time spent slacking off on her duties) Rosaria slips away from the Church and sweeps you away for a day of bonding. If you need more clothes, she’ll drag you to every store in Mondstadt looking for something that fits you just right. It’s a sweet gesture, even if she brutally critiques your fashion choices. It’s out of love, I swear.
She also likes to just sit quietly with you, comfortably existing next to each other.
Rosaria isn’t big on affection, but whenever she knows you won’t see each other for a long period of time, she’ll embrace you tightly and murmur a promise into your hair just like when you were kids.
“No matter what, no one will ever hurt you.”
LISA
When it comes to her loved ones, Lisa is a big fan of pet names, particularly the overly sappy ones.
Sweetheart, cutie, love—no matter who it is, anyone who is close to Lisa has probably been called at least one term of endearment in their life.
But while she has a variety of names for her favourite people, she has a habit of mentally assigning each person a different nickname that is exclusive for them.
Jean is her darling. The traveller is her cutie. Razor is her sweetie. You’re the only one to end up with two names.
There’s her most frequent one, dear.
“Oh, would you pass me that book, dear?”
If she’s feeling particularly affectionate, she’ll switch it to precious.
“(Name), my precious, are you feeling alright?”
Either way, there’s always a light teasing and subtle edge of fondness to her words when she talks to you.
Good luck if you ever try going to her for romantic advice. She may give the most wonderful, effective guidance in the world, but it will be accompanied with heavy teasing and not-so-subtle prompts to divulge more details about your love life.
Even if you’re not interested in romance, she still finds ways to tease you.
Rest assured that despite her tormenting, she knows when to step back. She’s always been perceptive of other’s emotions, so as soon as she notices you getting upset at her words, she is already smoothly shifting the conversation to something more comfortable.
When you’re tired, she’ll let you take a nap in the library, either resting your head on your arms at her desk or curled up on one of the couches in the library. After chuckling at you (and making a mental note to tease you later about falling asleep so abruptly), she will fetch a blanket and tuck it over your shoulders.
Archons help anyone who even tries to wake you up. The library patrons learned to fear the wrath of the librarian a long time ago, and anyone who dares to disturb your peace will face the pain of Electro.
You become slightly feared in general, if only by being so closely affiliated with such an intimidating woman. If Lisa manages to get you to help track down some books, it only takes one threat of calling her to get the person to panic and hurriedly accept the late fee.
Lisa is thoroughly pleased with your work when you return, and might even treat you to some Sticky Honey Roast from Good Hunter if you’re lucky.
Overall, Lisa is a great sister. She adores her sibling more than anything, and that is what counts.
SUCROSE
Sucrose is such a sweet big sister!
She’s not the best at comforting others, but she is an amazing listener. Come to her with any of your worries, and she’ll nod along and consider your words carefully, only interrupting to suggest a solution to whatever is going on in your life.
She’s also willing to just give you a hug while you work through whatever emotions that you’re dealing with.
Speaking of which, Sucrose is a 10/10 hugger.
She will squeeze you just the right amount and rub circles into your back while she murmurs comforting words. Hugging her feels so safe and warm, like in her arms you’re sheltered from anything that could hurt you.
If you show even the slightest interest in her work, she will be thrilled. It only takes one question, a simple ‘what are you doing?’ to get her to vibrate with excitement and ask eagerly if you want to hear about her work.
She gets very rambly in her explanations but give her a little patience and she’ll go through her process, step by step. She’s more than willing to have you observe her experiments, and even participate in them if you’re confident enough to.
Sucrose is very insistent on you taking good care of yourself. She knows the detrimental effects a lack of sleep can have on a person’s health, so she makes sure you get a good rest every night, and lightly scolds you for staying up too late. On nights when you can’t sleep, she’ll make you a soothing cup of tea, and tell you stories to lull you into a slumber.
When you were younger, she would tell you all kinds of stories. With just her words, she could weave epic tales and colourful worlds, all from her own imagination. As she grew older and began her interest in alchemy, she strove to create a wonderland of her own, and make the fairy tales you loved become a reality.
Her research still has a long way to go, but rest assured she will keep going, to make your stories a reality.
EULA
Just like Rosaria, Eula is the sister who would not let anything happen to her sibling.
She won’t stand for anyone acting snobbishly towards you for your Lawrence heritage. When it comes to herself, she doesn’t care what others have to say about her. She accepted their distrust of her a long time ago, and their words do not affect her anymore.
But her sibling? Her precious, innocent baby sibling? Who has never done anything wrong in their entire life? Who doesn’t deserve a single one of the hostile remarks that they face simply for their lineage.
That simply will not slide.
She knows what it is like to be a social pariah—she was forced to become one ever since she was born into an aristocratic family—but she despises the fact that you have to go through the same thing. It only fuels her desire for vengeance, seeing someone who she knows is a good person being ostracised for no reason. She can’t help but wonder, ‘Why wasn’t I enough? If you must make someone your martyr, then why couldn’t you have settled with only hating me? Why do you have to drag another innocent person into it?’
She is well aware that her demeanour causes others to distrust her more, but at least it makes you look more palatable in comparison. Maybe if they do see her as the worst of you both, they’ll see you as a perfectly respectable person, rather than simply a Lawrence. Besides, she doesn’t owe anyone any kindness, not when none was shown to her.
Other than being a bit overprotective, Eula also adores teaching her sibling new things.
It started with bladework—an essential skill, as she called it. According to her, everyone should have at least one weapon they’re proficient in, and for you she chose swords. Catalysts were always too finicky for her, she’d never been fond of long-distance weapons like bows, and both claymores and polearms were too heavy for you at that age, so swords were the best option.
Soon enough, you were as skilled in Favonius Bladework as any knight. She was rather proud of how quickly you picked up the skill.
The one thing she is most enthusiastic for you to learn is dancing. I think if you asked her to teach you, she would have trouble hiding just how excited she is.
Despite having an open distaste for aristocratic traditions, the Dance of Sacrifice is one that she will always cherish. It is the one custom that feels close to her, and one that she only shares with the most important of people.
So of course she will share it with you.
Eula may act aloof and cold most of the time, but if you surprise her with a hug, she will simply melt. Physical affection (affection in general, actually) wasn’t given freely in your house growing up, so whenever she gets it, Eula doesn’t quite know how to react, other than embracing you back tightly.
(That privilege of being able to come that close to her without asking is strictly only tolerated by you. Anyone else, and she would have sworn vengeance ten times over.)
reblogs and comments are appreciated! ♡

BEST MODERN FAIRYTALE ADPATATION! SEMIFINALS, MATCH 2 OUT OF 2!

The Sisters Grimm series by Michael Buckley is based off various fairytales; Princess Tutu by Ikuko Itoh is based off the Ugly Duckling and Swan Lake.
Propaganda Under the Cut:
The Sisters Grimm series by Michael Buckley:
The Sisters Grimm was a formative read for me as a kid. It’s fun and episodic, but over time it also examines both what place fairytales have in modern lives and uses fairytale characters as an allegory for self-determination.
Amazing to see The Sisters Grimm go up against Diana Wynne Jones. I know which one is probably objectively better, but only the other has kept a stranglehold on my brain to this day. For all its flaws, honestly maybe because of all its flaws, Sisters Grimm really is the middle grade series that keeps on giving. I'm not saying that anyone new should, like, read these books, I'm just staying it's nice to see people vote for them Anyway the other reason you should vote Sisters Grimm is because if we could get it facing off against OUAT in a later round that would be funny I think
there were a good few years of my childhood where I could only sleep with an audiobook on. Except I didn’t have a phone then so I would play them through my Alexa. But my Alexa only played the free ones. Aka the sisters grim book 2 and this other book. so for a span of around 5 years almost everyday I listened to the audiobook of the sisters grim book 2 and I can now recite passages of it.
OK sorry one more thing. I feel like you can't just compare the newer editions' cover art to a good DWJ cover like that. These books originally came out with some honestly iconic illustrations. Look at this stuff. [Click through to see the illustrations] The physical design of these books was another thing that I always truly loved. They were different than all the other books on the library shelf. I was especially fond of the paperbacks, because something about the squarish proportions just made them feel so nice to hold. And the hardcovers with their textured fabric and all the gold detailing really felt like you had happened across not just a book, but a tome. These books felt genuinely special when you held them.
Princess Tutu (2002 - 2003):
This show is PHENOMENAL. Starts as a fairy tale show, slowly starts to discuss fate vs free will and the archetypes that fairy tale characters have to play and what would happen if they could fight the narrative. Also has one of the most perfect endings to Duck's arc that any protagonist could ever have.
Princess Tutu ftw, let's be honest here
Princess Tutu is a combination of The Ugly Duckling, The Nutcracker, and The Swan Princess In addition to the plot points and themes already mentioned, look how pretty this series is [Click through to see images] This show is hella underrated And it's two seasons, you could totally binge the whole thing

Varigo villian au lore (pt2?? Ig?)
Soz this took longer than expected lol.
So originally I had two ways for varigo to meet but this is the one I ended up liking more.
Varian
In this au when Rapunzel frees Quirin that was sort of Varian's breaking point bc Quirin didn't survive the Amber. Quirin possibly being alive and things going back to normal was the only hope Varian had left without that he.. lost it to keep it short. Andrew tries to work his way back in and Varian practically freaks out and kills him. Whether it was intentional or not he's still not sure. But a part of him that sick twisted part enjoyed it. So now his mission is to kill all those that cross him and in doing so rise to power. Varian in this au is (for lack of a better word) very insane. He's kinda similar to jinx from arcane? Except less childish. He's like a mix between Jinx and Silco personality wise.
Hugo
Hugo meanwhile is still a thief. He finds the abandoned village of old Corona and decides to raid one of the few remaining houses for any goods. That house was old and messy. The rooms were filled with blueprints, designs, lab equipment, tools, metal, etc. Hugo is fascinated with these designs and is a good engineer. that's when a raven haired boy sees him and initially freaked out and is about to kill him (which he's kinda into cause like damn). But Hugo is able to schmooze his way out of that with a good ol "I hate the rich. You hate the rich. We should kiss- I MEAN build these robots and weapons and take over the kingdom together!" Over the course of about a year (more or less) Varian and Hugo build everything and take over (it actually wasn't too hard). Hugo in this au isn't too different from his regular self. He's more energetic however and isn't afraid to get gorey. He is def a masochist in this au lol. Whilst Varian does constantly give him opportunities to have the same level of power as him Hugo never takes it. One reason is he does want the responsibility another may be that he likes being below Varian.
Varigo
Over all Varigo have a sort of situationship? They'll refer to the other as their partner, boyfriend, fiance, etc. But their relationship is very toxic. I wouldn't say manipulative exactly more power hungry? Or fear fueled? They do care very deeply abt the other (since they are the only ones that care abt the other) and if U hurt one of them the other wouldn't hesitate to kill you. But they often threaten each other physically and emotionally (and not always in a playful way). Hugo on the outside seems like he's only in the relationship for the money and sex and Varian seems like he's only in it for reassurance and weaponry. But they both have common interests and are almost unstoppable when they work as a team. There are a lot of layers to both of them the closest couples I can think of to reference them to is stolitz more so in the earlier seasons and maybe Harley Quinn and the Joker? I'm not very good at explaining their relationship but they are very fun to write lol.
Donella
I haven't given Donella much thought in this au. I think after finding out Hugo has taken over Corona with Varian she tries working with them offering her men and resources.
TTS Cast (may change)
Rapunzel, Cass, Eugene and the others have a sort of rebellion in the snuggly duckling. I haven't thought too much magic hair wise but I think Raps has lost her powers by now so they have a very low chance of winning. The current state of this au is abt a year after Vat7k would have happened.
Someone asked on the last post if I plan on writing a fic for this au.
The answer is not currently no. If I did write a fic for this I would want to have more planned out and there's alot in this au I'm still not sure abt. If it got enough attention or if someone also wanted to write a fic I might do a couple's one shots just to sort of show the characters and how they act in this au. But for now I'm prob just gonna stick with occasionally posting abt it. As I said if it gets enough attention or if I come up with more for the au then I might do something big or post more often abt it.
Okay byeee U guys are amazing make sure U eat today <33

I was scrolling through tags looking for an AU of Taco and found your Paco Swap AU!! Which I love so much:D
Uh, I wanted to ask about it since it's been two months (I think) since there's been a post with the tag Paco Swap AU so uh yeah:3
First of all, the way in which the original Taco has the cracks and the bow, do you think Paco Taco would have any alterations to her appearance. Whether through injury or through accessories? It is said that she has people taking care of her, so would she have gotten an injury at a time when she was 'alone'? (Which I don't think would happen often) Or back during season one, whenever Pickle would be less than nice to her, avoiding her after she had gotten her prize.
Speaking of season one what was everyone's reaction to Pickles lashing out? Like would he say he was using her, or would he say how dumb she was to believe him? (Which if she understood what he was talking about about, she would likely be devastated) And then afterwards, where the others would have to take care of her, not knowing a lot of her emotional cues or how she acts and behaves (Being closest to Pickle and all) With the added point that she would be nearly completely silent, having lost one of her closet friends. How would they help her cheer up?
Erm, and also, I wanted to know how Pickle feels about being kinda forgiven by Taco. You said that Taco would just be happy to have him back (Understanding to a certain degree that the others still find him mostly untrustworthy), but how would he see her? Like to him, this Taco whom he had manipulated and used for the entirety of a season is ok wit him now, yet everyone else who took care of her after he left, still have their guard up around him. Like the original Taco in II, would Paco Pickle (During season two, after the whole Lightbulb thing) think about season one and feel some sort of remorse? I mean, Paco Taco in the present is still herself. Happy and content, even after what happened in season one. How would that make him feel that she truly has no ill will against him despite everything he had done to not only prevent her from learning English, but also using her in order to get the prize money?
-
Uh, this is kind of a long ask, but I just really like this AU and wanted to know more (・ัω・ั)
Hi there!!^^ Welcome, and thank you for sending in an ask!! :3 I'm very happy to hear you like the AU!!! Has it really been that long? I hadn't realized!!
Yes, I do!! I think that when Pickle pushes her away right before he leaves, he'd push her hard enough to the point that a piece or two of her shell breaks off of her back. That one would be around for quite a long time, since she'd always have someone with her keeping an eye on her after that, so she wouldn't die and get reset. As for when Pickle wasn't watching her, she may have gotten bumped or scratched a few times, but I don't think she'd get too injured in his presence? She still follows him around like a little duckling, even if he's ignoring her, so unless he's doing something potentially dangerous, she'd probably be okay.
Reactions to Pickle lashing out!! Uh, most of them are rather upset!! I mean, there are some like Pepper, Salt, or Baseball who didn't know Pickle particularly well, so they wouldn't be as emotionally impacted, but they'd still be like. Surprised. Then there's contestants like Knife, OJ, or Paper who though they'd known who Pickle was and are quite upset at the change in his attitude!!
As for what Pickle says about Taco when he snaps, it's some very mean things to poor Taco. It is definitely for the best that she didn't understand exactly what he was saying. He'd probably go on a tirade about how obnoxious it is to have to watch over such an annoying little idiot all the time. He can't get a moment of peace with her always clinging onto him and he is sick of her. He'd only let her stick with him to make himself look better to the viewers, to be the nice guy who was taking the time to help the stupid little girl through the game. The game was over now, so he shouldn't have to put up with her anymore! Using the prize money for himself is only fair, the only reason she'd even gotten to the merge, much less the finale was because he'd done all the work! It is rightfully his to use! The little brat is too stupid to even understand what money is, much less how to spend it.
On that note, we move on to how the others cheer her up! Yeah, they really don't know a lot of her cues and mannerisms, especially when she's so upset. They'd start to miss the random shouts of "SOUR CREAM!" they'd heard throughout the day before. The first thing they'd try is probably lemons. They all know she likes lemons, so they go out to her orchard and collect plenty for her. She'd go and sit in the lemon pile, but she'd still be sad. Not sure if I'd mentioned this when I was describing the AU, but for a week or so after Pickle leaves, Taco will not move from her spot watching the front door. She's waiting for him to come back, but he doesn't. So that's where the lemon pile is as well. I think after that week or so, someone (Lightbulb?) would just try giving Taco a hug, and that's the sort of thing that ends up helping!! Silly Taco loves physical affection, especially since at this point she still can't understand most of the people around her. So she gets lots of hugs and headpats!! She'd like getting positive attention from the other contestants as well, since she had really only gotten that from Pickle and occasionally OJ. No one else really talked to her all that much. Nickel and Balloon were pretty clear with their dislike for her.
As for how he feels about being forgiven by Taco!! Conflicted. Relieved, in a way, that she's willing and eager to give him another chance. The thing is though, Pickle wouldn't forgive himself. He'd continue feeling very guilty about having used and betrayed her! He would definitely be remorseful by that point. Honestly, I think he'd regret what he'd done very soon after he leaves, because Taco's absence is so noticeable. She really was always following him around and nuzzling him and being silly and loud, yeah? Now he's all alone in the dark, quiet woods. He's still more outwardly emotional than regular Taco even when he's in her place, it would be even more obvious that he's regretful and sad. Her having no ill will towards him would probably make him feel worse, all things considered, but there's not much he can do about it. With everyone else not trusting him, that's a relief for him as well. He wants Taco to be well-protected!! He's glad that they're wary of him and watching out for her, he is mad at himself for what he did and think they should keep a close eye on him as well!! Anyway, yeah, he'd see her as like, an angelic embodiment of innocence and forgiveness. She very much cherishes her once they're together again!! :)
No worries about the ask being long!!^^ I love it when people send in long asks about my aus!!! :D

There's a part of me that wants to think that House MD is a spiritual successor to Mash (which is a whole separate post). It's fascinating to me because outside of one brief reference in the early seasons to Trapper John, and the whole similar "POV of the patient" episodes, there aren't really any references to Mash within House. And frankly, I'm surprised their aren't unless it was deliberate on the part of the creators. But I honestly prefer to believe Greg House within the confines of the show itself is actually an old Mash fan.
Picture it with me, will you...
A young 13 year old Gregory getting obsessed with the show. In part because it's anti-military and anti-authority sentiment pisses off his dad. But he also loves it's mix of drama, goofiness, and quick-witted banter.
He mostly gets to keep watching it because his Mom also likes it, it reminds her of the quick banter of old screwball comedies of her youth.
Sixteen year old Greg being torn between appreciating the accurate harsh reality of killing off Henry Blake, and the fact he wants to write angry letters to the studio on behalf of his mom because the episode made her cry.
Do you remember in Sherlock (2010) how Mycroft brought up that Sherlock had the mind of a great thinker, but chose to be a detective? And his original hope was to be a pirate? I think of that when I think of how Greg became a doctor. He was never going to be the empathetic doctors he saw on Mash, but the show did infuse an interest in medicine he never quite shook.
Imagine Greg at 24, exhausted from med school and a little choked up watching the finale of a show he's spent half his life watching.
Greg starting our his doctor's career with a hatred of doctor's coats like Hawkeye hated uniforms. He knows it's a cliché for doctors of this era to love Mash so it's his own dirty little secret. The thought of wearing a Hawaiian shirt one day has crossed his mind, but is ultimately rejected because it's not worth the teasing, or really his style.
Greg brings his love of banter and hatred of authority right into his work environment. He also has had no problem mixing the bleak with a sense of humor, maybe a residual effect of so many episodes of Mash.
He also maybe took Henry's season 1 speech about doctors not being able to save young men from dying maybe a bit too seriously, and that mixed with his own cynicism has helped inform his distance from his patients.
House meeting Cuddy and him taking great joy from their Margaret/Hawkeye "pushing back against authority but also kind of flirting" . He knows it'll never work, but damn if it isn't fun. It's fantasy straight out of his teenage years.
His ducklings (Cameron, Foreman, Chase) are his other assorted characters of the camp to bounce off of - the Radars, Klingers, and whatnot. He'll run circles around them verbally, but they have the potential to surprise him with a good idea or a clever comment.
When he met Wilson, it was like meeting his own tentmate in the Swamp. He maybe envisioned a little of having their own Swamp when he convinced Cuddy to move Wilson in next door. He was always sure Wilson was his BJ, with his commitment to his wives - even if maybe he went through them like Trapper did with nurses. But when Wilson left after Amber's death, he wondered if Wilson was maybe really his Trapper all along and his BJ didn't exist. When Wilson came back, House immediately thought back to BJ coming back to Hawkeye in the finale.
Wilson is the only one, other than his mother, who knows of his secret love of Mash. Wilson is also fond of it (he maybe internalized Hawkeye's commitment to his patients). And he sees a bit of Hawkeye in House's sense of humor. They occasionally watch it together and will makes jokes about it when the team or Cuddy aren't around. That said, Wilson has to convince House every so often that "No, we're not building our own still."
#apologies to anyone whose read my long-ass posts before#i literally just looked and figured out how to add the “read more” to my posts today - this is the first#house md#greg house#gregory house#james wilson#lisa cuddy#mash#m*a*s*h#hawkeye#hawkeye pierce#house md headcanons#house headcanons

JAYCE HORSE PROGRESS UPDATE

He’s a little… ehhh.
My uncle had a coworker who could print him for free, though his printer was allegedly a bit outdated. I see what he means now…
Can’t be sure whether the issues are to do with my model or with the printer. He keeps having this concussion:

He’s also a little bit smaller than his peers when I could’ve sworn I measured him to the millimeter. The printer did spit out one tiny Jayce, though the coworker didn’t give a reason why.

Apparently he kept melting due to the way the printer works, so he tried adding supports, which didn’t seem to help much.
So, issues so far: concussion, wacky horn, fucked up underbelly, hind legs are sharply cut, noticeable tubelike printing pattern, slightly too small.
For reference, here is the original model:

I have since sent my .stl file to a professional printing guy to hopefully get a better result, as was my original plan. I assume that he has better printers and hopefully most of the problems will be fixed… or else I’ll have to go back to Blender, and I’d sooner go back to Hell.
In the meantime, these little pseudo-Jayces will keep Mel and Viktor company, like little ducklings around full-size ducks.
I will use these little fucked up Jayces as practice for the Final Jayce Horse 🐴 In one video about repainting a Tokidoki, Dollightful painted the eyes on unevenly. (The rainbow one with the white eyes and horn.) My worst fear would be to make Jayce look like Derpy 😭
