dpxdc twins au except it's no-pulse flavored
Bart’s new roommate looks a lot like Tim.
Like, suspiciously like Tim.
Danny’s the same height, has the same shape of nose, same shade of hair, and even frowns like him. He would have been a perfect copy if he acted more like Tim, but Danny definitely holds himself looser than Bart’s ever seen Tim.
But he still has his face. So, obviously, Bart has to investigate. Maybe he’s a clone, or a shapeshifter, or maybe one of the Gotham rogues decided to get facial reconstruction surgery to look like him, and this was all a ploy.
Okay, probably not that last one. Bart doesn’t think Tim’s enemies know his identity.
Anyway, investigation! Bart’ll figure this out himself, and deal with it if Danny needs to be dealt with. And the investigation will start right after he comes up with an excuse as to why he’s back in their third floor apartment when he passed Danny in the hallway a few seconds before.
Danny stares at him, and Bart stares back.
“Must’ve been a doppelganger!” Bart blurts out.
Danny’s silent for a second before nodding enthusiastically and noting that everyone's supposed to have like seven in the world anyway and wow what a wild coincidence that there’s one in their building.
Bart extends the same courtesy when a week later he walks in on Danny with an iced over pan on the stove. Danny says they should really get their freezer checked out and Bart agrees and asks if he can use the ice for a painting study.
(They never get their freezer checked.)
Bart finds that Danny’s great at setting up fun things for him to draw, whether he knows it or not. Like the ice, or his collection of rocks, his astronomy textbooks with the pretty covers, his gestures as he rants about his classes, the excited glint in his eyes when he’s talking about his next repair project and how his eyes almost look like they glow in the right light.
Hm. A good portion of his sketchbook is drawings of Danny, and yet he’s still having trouble with getting the right blue for his eyes. At first glance they’re Tim’s shade of blue, but when he keeps looking they seem to get lighter. Maybe greener?
He should probably stop staring into his friend’s eyes.
Well, maybe not. Danny doesn’t seem to mind.
Just like he doesn’t mind when they started regularly sitting very close on the couch, or falling asleep together, or Bart borrowing some of his jackets, or-
Okay, Bart’s kinda seeing a pattern. He and Danny should really have a conversation about if this is platonic behavior or not.
But not right now, because Bart brought Danny across the river to raid Wally’s board game closet in Keystone.
And Wally, who’s used to this, just passes by them with a, “Hey Bart, hey Tim.”
“Danny, not Tim,” Danny replies almost absent mindedly, then looks back at Wally, who’s also staring at him now. “Wait, you know Tim?”
“OhmyGod I was supposed to investigate!” Bart says, face palming. It just slipped his mind! And Danny was distracting him with his pretty face that he totally wears better than Tim!
“You know him too?” Danny asks. But he doesn’t look suspicious of them, more amused.
“How do you know him?” Wally squints at Danny, eyes briefly catching Bart’s in question.
“He’s my twin,” Danny answers easily. “The Drakes only wanted one kid, so they gave me to their friends the Fentons, who wanted a second one.” He shrugs and goes back to digging around the closet. “Tim and I were always in contact, though. Letters and phone calls and texting, you know?”
He says it all so casually while Wally and Bart are sharing increasingly concerned looks behind his back.
Do the Waynes know about Danny? Has Tim never brought him up? Why? Does Danny know about Red Robin? Does Tim-
“Holy shit does this mean Tim has ice powers too!?”
Or: Tim and Danny are twins. Through a series of coincidences, the first people to find out that aren’t Fentons or Drakes are the flashes.
(This post was brought to you by me recently finishing the 1995 Impulse run, and wanting an excuse to share this panel:

Hi!! I have a one shot request (I hope I’m in the right place lmao)
What about a autistic (fem)reader who is super smart and seems to notice things about the case that the others haven’t and every time she tries to state her thoughts a rude sherif cuts her off/infantilising her and Emily defends her
Honestly my brain stopped at the thought of Emily, I need more of her 😔🫶
-anon ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ
fem plus size autistic!reader, wc: 517.
a/n: i have had this finished but sitting in my drafts because i was too lazy to post it, but here it is! i hope that i was able to capture what you were looking for right! :] this can either be read as platonic or romantic!
cw! asshole elders :/
Tumblr media
You have been spoken over and shut down for the past hour, twenty minutes, and thirty seconds.
You hated being silenced, but one thing that trumps that was being infantilized. You worked hard to get where you were now, and you hated being treated like a child just because your way of thinking was different from your peers.
You have saved thousands of people and you’ll be damned if you continue to be treated like this.
“If you look closely, you can see that the area that these women were killed in must hold some kind of sentimental meaning to our unsub.” You grab the black marker and go to draw the inevitable triangle on the printed out map before you’re stopped by the sheriff.
“Hold it now, sweetheart. Don’t just go markin’ up stuff.”
“I beg your pardon?” You ask with furrowed eyebrows.
“I’m sure the area these women were killed in was just pure coincidence, so we don’t wanna risk coloring in the paper just ‘cause you think you know somethin’.” He spoke as if he knew more than you did like he was the one with the degree, his tone absolutely rolling in condescension.
“I’m sorry but –” You try to say but the old fart cuts you off. “I’m sure you are –”
“Excuse me, sheriff, but I’m afraid Special Agent _______ made a great point.” Emily was quick to come to your aide, emphasizing the words ‘Special Agent’ just to reinforce her point.
You could see it in her narrowed eyes, and everyone else’s really, that she was about done with the Sheriff’s embarrassingly large ego. You send her an appreciative – albeit shy – smile, and she gets up, her eyes trained on the map as well.
“She’s right, because if you look here,” She points to the first crime scene and motions for you to draw a mark. “And here,” Her finger trails down to the second location and you follow close behind. “And here.” Her path finally ends, and so does your black ink.
There it was, just like you had first thought, a perfect triangle connecting them all.
“The most important thing should be right –” You finish her words and color in a big circle in the middle. “Here.” Emily sends you a proud look and it threatens to weaken your knees.
“I mean… I suppose that makes sense.” The man grumbled before leaving with his tail between his legs.
“Thank you.” You say quietly. The conversation was meant to be kept between the two of you. Of course you loved and trusted everyone on your team, but Emily was your comfort person, and she made time to understand you.
“No problem,” She responds back. “Everyone was done with his shit anyway.”
“Still, thank you.” You pressed the conversation, because you don’t really think she realized the gravity of the situation, of your appreciation.
For most of your life you had never been given a voice, and having someone stick up for you and even paving the way for you to make your point known was something that no gratitude could give.

could you please do a virgin!doyoung fic pls 🥹
Hey anon , I gotchu <3
Virgin!Doyoung
The first time you saw Doyoung , he was hiding behind your friends. They were a couple of guys that you had met through countless school events and parties. Everyone was a familiar face.. except him. He stood behind them in silence , trying to avoid making eye contact. He kept his head down and his mouth shut. You had thought it was kind of weird and maybe a bit rude at first. But as you kept talking to them you had grown more curious and before you could question him , they all walked off.
From that day forward you would always see him trailing behind Jaehyun and Johnny. Sometimes you’d see him alone , studying in a library , reading in the grass , eating sandwiches in the cafe window. He always looked well kept , not a single wrinkle on his clothing , hair styled , face clear. He was perfect , too perfect in fact. Something in his eyes was drawing you in.
Maybe it was the fact that you were so tainted and he was so pure. Something in you just wanted to dig deep inside him and corrupt him. And so you started to push a little bit. Making sure to say hi every time he was around, purposefully bumping into him , making small talk. You had gotten him to open up a little , being able to hold conversations that weren’t cut short by rushed sentences and lame excuses.
Today you and some of your friends invited a couple of the guys over to the dorms for a little hang out. Doyoung was among them. The entire night was going smoothly, but every now and then you’d search around for Doyoung. He was in the corner the entire time , taking slow sips from his red solo cup. Johnny had offered him a hit of his blunt but he denied. He would alternate between scrolling on his phone to resting his head back against the wall.
He looked amazing though , a black turtle neck hugging his body snuggly. Black hair styled to perfection. It was irritating you , how could he come in here to hang out but not interact with anyone.
You got up and pulled Jaehyun to the side, he looked slightly flustered at the sudden urgency.
“What’s up with your friend ?”
“Who?” He looks around the room for a second before coming to a realization. “Ohhh, Doyoung?” You nod.
“Yea he seems a little weird doesn’t he” A dopey smile is on his face. “He’s a little shy , not much of a people person. I don’t blame em’ though… He does seem to take a liking to you however..”
“What are you talking about?” Curiosity running through your veins.
Jaehyun looks around the room , like he’s trying to make sure nobody can hear him.
“Ok don’t tell him I told you this. I really don’t feel like dying.” He pauses , gathering his thoughts.
“So… The other night , we had just gotten home from happy hour. You remember that right?”
You nod , completely invested
“Anyways.. when we got home we decided to roll a joint. We asked Doyoung to stay but he told us no and then ran to his room. It was like he was in a hurry or something , but we ignored it cause Doyoung is always a little weird.”
He pauses again. Taking a sip from his cup before he continues.
“It had been 3 in the morning , all the guys had went to bed already but I was still up. I was getting tired though so I had started to walk to my room. Doyoung’s door is actually directly next to mine so when I passed his door I started hearing sounds. He sounded like he was in pain , I was starting to panic. But just before I opened the door I heard your name come out of his mouth.”
My name ? You say to yourself. You were in shock but wanted him to finish the story so you nudged him.
“I had thought maybe he was on the phone with you , it seemed like you two had hit it off earlier but no. He kept saying it , then I started hearing wet sounds and before I knew it his bed was creaking. After that I just ran into my room and forced myself to sleep”
Doyoung.. the Doyoung that always looks like he’s pained when you force conversations onto him. The Doyoung that sits in the corner at parties. The Doyoung who speaks to nobody.. was jerking off with your name on his tongue. Before you could process everything you say something quickly.
“Is he a virgin?”
“Yea..”
“Send him to my dorm room in 5 minutes.”
He looked stunned but he sensed what you were insinuating and nodded with a smirk on his face.
You quickly turn around and head straight over to everyone. Telling everyone good night, as far as they knew your stomach was in pain. You shoot one last glance at Doyoung before scurrying off to your dorm room.
Once you get inside you rid yourself of your pants , leaving only a pair of lacy panties on. You ditch your shirt for something more comfortable , opting for an over sized shirt that covers everything.
You turned off all the lights and lit the candle that was on your dresser. Then you just sat and waited. You were nervous for some reason , it’s not like you haven’t had sex more times than you can count. There was just something different about Doyoung.
5 minutes had passed and still no knock. You started getting discouraged. Maybe you were a little too forward. You get off your bed sighing. Walking over to your mini fridge to grab bottle of water, a timid knock on the door stops you in your tracks. You take a minute to gather your thoughts. Maybe you were just hearing things.. but you were proven wrong when the knock happened again. This time you rush to your door and open it. Standing there was Doyoung , looking absolutely nervous.
“H-hi.”
You stare into his eyes for a minute , trying to read him but he looks away. You just move over , allowing him access into your room. He walks in and starts to observe his surroundings. His back is turnt to you.
“Jaehyun said you needed me for something.. is it about class ? Do you need the notes for our statistics fina-“
Grabbing his arm, you turn him around to face you. He looks like a deer caught in headlights. His breathing is erratic and his eyes are all over the place.
“You know why you’re here Doyoung.”
“I-i don’t… I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
You start by taking a step towards him. For every step you take , he takes a step back.
“You think nobody can see you. Always quiet , always sitting in the corner. Never speaking just observing. You don’t smoke , you don’t drink. Yet you’re always at parties. You don’t like speaking to people. You don’t like interaction. Hell, you can’t even be bothered with me is that right?”
He doesn’t answer but he does stop his movements. His legs had hit the frame of your bed , one more step back and he would fall.
“You know Doyoung, I see right through you. You think you have everyone fooled. But nobody knows. Nobody knows that when you go home at night and nobody’s there but you and your four walls.. you pull your cock out and jerk yourself raw while moaning out my name.”
His eyes widen. How did you know? Did someone hear him? Normally he would have ran away and hid from you. Maybe even move schools just from the embarrassment alone.
But this isn’t a normal situation. His cock is so hard that he can hear the blood rushing in his ears.
Your eyes trail down to the tent in his pants. Perfect.
“Tell you what Doyoung. I won’t tell everyone how much of a perv you are. Instead I’ll give you something to remember , something nobody else can give you. What do you say.. do you want that?”
His eyes are fixed on you, too stunned to speak. All he can do is weakly nod.
“Is that a yes ? Lost for words now are you.”
“Yes.. I want it please.”
“Hmm.. that’s what I thought.. Take your pants off and get on the bed.”
He moves excitedly just like the virgin he is , almost tripping over himself when he slides down his jeans and boxers. He sits back on the bed , hands supporting his body. His cock sits long and heavy on his shirt, redness at the tip , veins prominent.
You can feel yourself salivating but quickly snap out of it as you drop to your knees.
He looks at you with widened eyes.
“A-are you g-gonna suck my c-“
You cut him off short by wrapping your lips around the tip. His stomach flexes and his breathing comes to a halt. That’s a good sign. Pulling off to spit on your hand , you start by wrapping your hand at the base. Going up and down , adding a twist every time you get to the bottom.
He lets a gasp , similar to the sound one makes when they get punched in the stomach. His thighs start flexing.
You put your mouth back on his tip and continue your hand movements. He’s now moaning louder.
“Mmm.. fuckkkk”
Your start bobbing your head up and down. Removing your hand , you take him deep in your throat. Your nose can feel his pubes graze the tip of it. The pleasure becoming too much for him to handle, he tries closing his thighs but you land a light slap to the inner part. Signaling him to keep them open. After the slap you can feel a drop of salty pre cum squirt on your tongue, his cock starts throbbing. You pull off quickly before he can finish.  A thin line of saliva connecting between your lips and the tip.
When you stand up you catch him with his eyes rolled back , mouth agape trying to gasp for air.
“I need you to lay down now.”
He refocuses his eyes. It takes him a few seconds to process your request , already fucked out. Once he can gather his thoughts he moves just as he is told.
“You’re a good listener , that’s hot”
A thin layer of sweat is covering his forehead. You can feel your panties starting to get soiled, your arousal staining the lace. You slip them off and straddle him. Leaning down , you trap his lips into a sloppy kiss . Lips swallowing each others , spit being swapped. You pull of slightly out of breath.
You starting rubbing small circles on your clit. He watches in awe, breathing heavily. Smirking you start to lift yourself but he stops you.
“W-wait.. I-im a virgin.”
“Oh I know.” And with that you sink onto his cock easily. The mixture of your spit and arousal making the slide easy.
Doyoung stops breathing , trying his best not to come. The feeling is indescribable. It’s almost too much , the mixture of the wetness with the warmth and grip is mind numbing. His eyes roll back and his cock starts to throb. He’s close already.
“Don’t. Don’t you dare cum inside of me.”
He stares at you in silence trying his hardest to restrict himself. You give him two minutes to calm himself before you start moving. First you start with grinding , swiveling your hips back and forth causing him to whimper loudly. Then you finally start bouncing up and down. His cock filling you up so nicely, you bring a hand down to your clit and start rubbing calculated circles. The pleasure building nicely in your stomach mixed with the loudness of Doyoung’s moans was driving you crazy. You were getting so lost in the pleasure that you were absolutely startled when you felt Doyoung push you off of him. At first you had thought that something was hurting him but when you turned to look at his face , his eye lids were twitching , eyes crossed. He was gripping the sheets , Thighs slightly shaking. His cock was throbbing erratically and before you knew it, he started shooting warm ropes of cum over his shirt. He came untouched. His ears were ringing and his vision was blurry.
The scene in front of you was so hot , you started rubbing yourself to completion. Clenching your thighs around your own hand. Doyoung laid in bed , staring at your ceiling , breathing labored. Cum staining his shirt , cock red and limp.
You get up to get a good look at his face. He looks disheveled. He looks corrupted.
Before you head off to get him a rag and use the restroom you whisper in his ear.
“Same time next week. I’ll show you a real good time.”

reader being shy about her period even though she’s been with hotch for while and doesn’t want to talk about it with him, but he’s straightforward about it, knows reader is shy but they’re both adults! so he draws her a bath (and maybe joins her?) and takes care of her whether she likes it or not lol
basically something fluffy 🥺
Drawing your bath is something you do every single night, but tonight it feels different, weird. It's probably the looming threat of Aaron shuffling around in the bedroom, and you're not even halfway through working up viable excuses when he asks the dreaded question.
"Can I join you?"
He's already undoing his pants before giving you the chance to answer. You never say no, the question is more of a formality at this point. But this time you shake your head, turning around to face him head-on.
"Uh, actually, Aaron, I think I want to take this one alone."
He freezes with his hand down his pants. Apparently untucking his shirt leaves him in a position that makes him look like a depraved teenager.
"Okay," He nods, redoing his zipper, clearly taken-aback, "Is there any reason why?"
"My head hurts. I just- I kind of want to be alone."
His face drops sympathetically, and he nods along, already reaching into the cabinet for the advil, "I'm sorry, honey. Here, take some, and when you're out I'll run interference with Jack so that you can go and lay down."
The way he handles it makes you feel bad for lying to him, but you bite the bullet and take the medicine anyways. It won't do anything, and the worst it will do is give you a headache. Then at least you won't be a liar.
"Thanks, Aaron," You murmur, bumping your face into his chest in a low-effort hug that holds more sincerity than it seems to, "I love you."
"I love you, too." He hums, kissing the crown of your head. He makes for the bedroom again, about to leave you to bathe in peace, but he doubles back, "Oh, and just so you know, I saw you were running low on pads, so I picked some up on my way home from work, but they're in that cabinet."
He points beneath the sink and your stomach drops, "I know you usually keep them in your purse, but Jack wanted gum this morning and I saw you didn't have many left, so I just stocked them here. You can move them, it doesn't matter to me, I just wanted you to know where they were."
He barely glances up at you after he's done, but the momentary gaze is enough to see that you're frozen. He stills in the doorway, "Honey? Are you okay?"
"You bought me pads?" The question feels embarrassing, heating your cheeks and burning your belly.
"I made sure they were the same kind," His brows furrow, "Is that.. okay?"
"It's-" You stammer, lip quivering slightly, "It's fine, it's- great! It's too good, Aaron," Tears well in your eyes, "You're too good to me."
"Honey," He croons, rushing to catch you in a hug, "That's- buying pads is not 'too good for you'. You need them, it's just the same as when I make you dinner or drive you to work."
"Those are all great," You gush, staining his dark green polo with your tears, "You're the perfect man."
You don't need to feel his cheeks to know they're on fire, and he chuckles sheepishly, rubbing up and down your back, "I think that's debatable, you can ask a few higher-ups at the office."
"Well you've never bought Erin Strauss pads before, have you?" You sniffle, two damp blotches on his shirt left behind even after you pick your head up out of his chest.
"No," He grins, shaking his head, "No, but one year I bought her a #1 boss mug."
"#1 bitch," You mumble, turning away so he can't see your smirk as he laughs, "Oh, and Aaron?"
"Mhm?"
"You can get in, if you want." You offer, still residually hesitant, "I just- I don't really have a headache. I didn't want you to know about.."
"Your period." He finishes for you, voice strong and sure of himself, "Alright. Lemme just set Jack up with a movie, then I'll be back."
You take the time he's gone to peek under the bathroom sink, and sure enough, two large packages of your go-to menstrual pads sit beneath a pipe. They're lined up neatly beside his shaving kit, and you marvel at the domesticity they radiate together. You pluck one from the package, fresh and light pink. The wrapper crinkles as you set it on the counter beside your fresh underwear, and a wave of comfort washes over you. This is your house, and you're allowed to live in it.
Comfort steps aside for amusement, though, when you picture Aaron striding into a corner store in his suit and tie, picking up two packages of pink pads, and handing them over to the teenage cashier.
"What's so funny?' He peels off his shirt with ease now that it's no longer tucked into his pants, discarding it on the floor.
"Nothing," You insist, a smile still lingering on your lips, "I bet the 15-year old checker was fun to talk to."

monsters on film
synopsis: you ask janis to help with a project
pairing: janis imi'ike x reader
words: 2.1k+
A/N - just trying to spark the urge to write again. i pretty much gave up on this but figured I would share it anyway
WARNING - swearing
Tumblr media
a heavy sigh slips into the early, surprisingly chilly, spring air as you wait rather impatiently at the edge of the tree line. time embarrassingly ticking on. you check the time. she was late. maybe she just was not coming. it had been a last-minute invite. or maybe she had just said yes so you would leave her alone. you swallow that little pang of disappointment. you could still get some interesting shots out here even if she didn't show up.
"hey," adrenaline spikes as you turn sharply. she backs up a little just as startled. "sorry,"
Janis 'imi'ike. local Northshore art freak. usually found drawing or more so sewing. you share an art class so you knew each other but weren't particularly close. you liked watching her work though. it's interesting to watch the cogs turn in her head. "it's okay," you offer a smile.
"so why did you wanna meet?" they wonder.
"I need help with an assignment," a photography assignment to be exact. you needed an excuse to talk to her and when your friend suggested asking Janis to help, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to hang out with her. janis made no apparent to hide her feelings on her face.
"Oh," she hummed. "homework? I thought we were gonna do something fun. Why are we all the way out here then? couldn't we do this at school?" Janis wonders, drifting past you and towards the treeline. "do I look like the outdoorsy type to you?" your eyes follow her. a pit forming in your stomach. maybe this was a bad idea. janis 'imi'ike was far from the outdoorsy type. that's not why you invited her.
"not really,"
"so?" she glances back at you.
you shrug. you're not exactly the outdoorsy type either but you like it out here. it's always so peaceful. "it's for my photography class."
"I don't know much about photography like," Janis admits. "I've fucked about making short films but nothing serious."
a light sparks behind your eyes but it quickly dims; you had a million questions that you were too shy to ask. "I wanna take pictures of you," you clarify. a bark of laughter before she realises you're serious.
"oh shit, why?" her brow furrows. you're not really sure what to say to that. you didn't really want to admit you just needed an excuse to hang out with them so you shrug. they shrug too before heading into the woods. you pull your camera from the backpack and start following her. your approach to photography was merely based on instinct. you took pictures when it felt right. you could apply every trick in the book but that would never guarantee anything good. at least if you work on your own drive then you get something out of it. "just know if you're gonna murder me and take pictures of the body, Damian knows I was meeting you" You're not really sure what to say to that. janis just continues walking, kicking up multicoloured leaves as they go. After a moment they continue. "are we just gonna walk around the woods? do I need to like pose or anything?"
you like that she has come around to the idea of being your model enough to ask questions. "kinda but you don't need to pose. it's not that kind of photoshoot I'm just gonna take pictures when it feels right."
"hmm alright," you fall into silence. it feels a little awkward. small talk had never been your strong suit. "you don't talk much huh?" she comments after a moment; it makes your stomach churn. she was correct but did she need to point it out?
"I'm just nervous," you shrug. she slows until you're walking side by side.
"why? do I make you nervous?" you glance at her just in time to notice the smirk spreading on her lips but as she turns to you and your eyes meet, you quickly look away. "you're the one who randomly invited me to wander around the woods, if anyone should be nervous it should be me,"
you swallow hard. "uh, I'm sorry... I was thinking we should head to the well."
a huff of a laugh. "the well?"
"there's like an old well around here, near this creepy old shack."
"a creepy old shack and an abandoned well? you sure this isn't a murder plot?" she teases. it just makes your stomach sink further. you needed to get over this if you were gonna take at least one decent picture never mind a whole assignment worth. "lead the way then," they insist with a flourish of their hands. there was a fifty chance that you were gonna get lost. janis had been the one to lead up until this point so your positioning was off. you're so anxious the universe will probably do anything to make you look worse. and frankly, even on a good day, you've managed to get all turned around. but still, you lead the charge and the other explores with what little freedom is allowed.
the shack was a small building constructed of now rotting wood. it had two small boarded-up windows. you had never been inside. you pretty much avoided the place altogether. nothing good can come from a creepy old shack. "are we almost there?" Janis calls from further down the hill. "we've been walking for ages." it had not been that long probably more like twenty minutes but admittedly you were leading her uphill. when she reaches you, a hand slaps against your shoulder almost making you drop your camera. heat also rushes to your cheeks.
"It's just up ahead," you explain, pointing towards the building through the trees. the well isn't far from the shack.
"oh shit," the girl breezes past you and continues the journey. you follow behind. Take your camera out and hold it up. watching the other through the lens. but as she looks back with a smile, you lower it. offering a small smile. She waits for you beside the old building. "how longs has this been here?" you just shrug. "what's inside?" you shrug again. "you've never been in?" they ask as they walk up the porch steps. they lean towards one of the windows to see inside. "can we?"
"We can't," you fire back. you knew better than to go into some creepy building in the woods. there's no telling who or what lives in there and you would rather not risk it.
"why?"
"we're not supposed to," the other girl just rolls her eyes.
"nobody is around. who's gonna tell?" the wood creaks as you walk up onto the porch to join her. you didn't know how old this place was once but it looked like it could cave in at any moment. there was no way it was even safe on the porch.
"come on." as she reaches for the handle you grab her shoulder.
"don't," you insist. "please," she seems surprised but it quickly fades as she reaches for your hand. the contact makes blush and you pull your hand away. "sorry, I didn't mean to..." You turn away and step back down. "sorry."
"It's fine," she replies. "you good?" you nod a little. the girl comes up behind you. hesitates for a moment like she's contemplating before speaking up again. "so where's the well?"
"uh right, the well,"
"We don't have to go if you don't want to," they respond.
"It's not much further. just up the hill and left." you look at them. offer a smile which they return.
"let's go," you watch them walk away. feeling embarrassed. feeling awkward. you take a picture of Janis as she weaves between a couple of trees and follow along.
a stone well sits crumbling at the top of the low-rise hill. it was in better condition than the shack for sure. you capture the moment Janis spots it and rushes ahead. and again as she leans over the edge to look down. "how deep is it?"
"not sure," you shrug. "Deep enough that you can't see the bottom." you place your bag on the ledge before looking over into the darkness.
"what do you reckon is at the bottom?" there's a mischievous glint in her eyes as she looks at you. you hold up the camera and she is quick to look away. you take a picture anyway.
"Timmy," her brow furrows.
"it was a joke sorry. old reference."
"Oh, she makes jokes now?" Janis teases. "cute."
"do you reckon people have fallen down there? what if there's like bodies and shit?"
"you seem excited about the bodies,"
"I mean no obviously that's bad but do you reckon?"
"maybe," you shrug. "we'd never know,"
"Exactly!" they respond. "could be anything. like secret tunnels and shit." Janis pushes back and starts rushing around the small clearing. your brow furrows but you snap a picture.
"what are you doing?"
"looking for something to throw down," they bend down and pick up a rock before rushing back over. the hold it got a moment and then let it go. you stare at her as she stares down.
"uh," she holds up her hand to shush you and continues staring. you kick the ground awkwardly and look around. guess she was waiting for a sound.
"I brought coins," you explain.
"did you hear that?" Janis looks to you. you shake your head. "what are the coins for?"
"I always toss one in. Pray nothing ever comes out."
"never took you for the superstitious type," Janis hums. "you think the gate to hell is down there or something,"
"I'm picturing a creature of some kind,"
"What kind of creature?" they ask, she turns to face you. pushing herself up to sit on the ledge. your stomach turns but less because she's focused on you and more on the fear that she could fall in. You'd have no way to help.
"I dunno. just like this giant shadow creature. pitch black from head to toe, can't distinguish any part of its body except for when it bares its teeth. and it has like these sharp yellow eyes."
"a shadow creature," Janis repeats. "quite the imagination."
"you never know," you insist.
"Can I have a coin?"
"Sure, grab my bag from beside you," the girl turns recklessly looking for the bag and knocks it backwards. the ledge is big enough that it doesn't fall in but the fact it was unzipped and Janis grabbed the bottom meant a lot of the contents slipped out and into the darknesses "holy shit." you rush to the edge but it's too late. the girl picks up your bag more carefully this time. holding it out. you practically snatch it from her, looking inside. all your film. gone. fuck. you had your last assignment in there and it was tomorrow. you drop the bag and go back to staring down the well.
"fuck,"
"was that important?"
"only all my photos and backup film."
"do you have them saved to like the cloud or something?"
"I mostly shoot on physical film- fuck."
"I'm sorry. I really didn't mean to, I-"
"It's okay,"
"no, it's not." Janis insists.
"it was an accident. I didn't realise I left it open."
"Sorry,"
"It's fine," you sigh softly backing away. "do you still want a coin?" you pick your bag up. at least your camera wasn't in there.
"do you wanna leave?" Janis suggests. you shake your head.
"I still need some pictures." you root through the backpack, unzipping the back pocket to collect a coin. "here."
she takes it slowly. it's clear the atmosphere has changed once again. and just when you started feeling more comfortable.
it's Friday. you have art today. you haven't spoken to Janis since that evening. it's only been two days though. you know she feels bad but you can't deal with it. you're too stressed about the pictures you lost. you walk in and take your usual spot around the table.
"hey," Janis takes the spot beside you. normally James sat there. "can we talk?"
"We don't need to," you insist. "it's fine."
"I feel like you're mad at me," Janis comments. "and I'd rather talk it out than have you avoid me."
"I'm not mad at you," you reply. "I'm just... stressed."
"what are you gonna do?"
"I explained the situation but I only got a three-day extension. so I have to do the entire thing again over the weekend."
"I'm sorry,"
"please stop apologising,"
"but it was my fault,"
"it was an accident," you express. "it's just as much my fault so let's just... move on."
"Are you free over the weekend?"
"no, I have homework to do. where are you not listening?"
"other than that?"
"I'm not gonna have time for anything else,"
"let me help you- it's the least I can do."
"you don't have to do that,"
"I want to, please?"
you shrug. "fine. whatever. you can help."

Before the four of you could finally commence the journey to the mall, you had to go through one small but very loud obstacle.
As soon as Yunho pulled off from the side of the road, a body flung itself across the front of his car. It seemed that Wooyoung booked it out of the house and locked the front door from the outside, which they apparently only had two keys to—one with Wooyoung and the other with Hongjoong.
You nearly jumped out of your skin at the sound of the thud, but after realising what it was, couldn’t help but let out a small laugh as the others groaned. You looked to your right at the house, catching a glimpse of Mingi’s leg sticking out of the kitchen window in an attempt to escape and recapture Wooyoung.
“You’re gonna take me with you whether you like it or not!” His voice was muffled, but due to its natural volume, you could all hear him perfectly well. With a roll of his eyes, Yunho unlocked the car and Wooyoung all but pranced his way into the backseat, squeezing you in between him and Hongjoong.
“What if there’s a fire in the house? How are they gonna get out?” You asked jokingly.
Hongjoong piped up with an amused grin, “There’s a back door. I’m actually surprised they didn’t think of that yet.”
And with that, Yunho continued the journey to the mall, ignoring the way Seonghwa ran after the car for a couple of metres while cursing out Wooyoung until he gave up.
The ride there was also pretty short. It was a relatively popular mall that offered a variety of stores and a fucking amazing food court with all your favourite restaurants. As the five of you walked through the mall, Wooyoung had his arm linked with yours, leading all of you to the store that housed an assortment of technology ranging from phones to massage chairs to music equipment, which is exactly what they needed.
“While you guys do your thing here, I’m gonna go ahead and find something to wear.” You excused yourself politely and were surprised when Yunho tagged along—Wooyoung joining you was less of a surprise. But you didn’t complain, spending the last few weeks with him created a small soft spot in your heart.
After spending so much time with him and meeting all his friends, you came to the conclusion that you seriously misjudged them and told yourself you would make it up to them one day. When you brought it up to Wooyoung to apologise for being such a stubborn jerk at the start of the project, he merely waved you off and said something along the lines of “It doesn’t matter now anyway, we’re best friends forever! Unless you want to be more th-” and then you punched him in the arm.
As much as you wanted to deny it, Wooyoung, Seonghwa and that entire ensemble of frat boys were incredibly handsome. Without meaning to, you sometimes found yourself staring, tracing their silhouettes with your eyes and your fingers itching to whip out your sketchbook and draw their perfect proportions. San’s physique, for example, was so nice to look at it frustrated you sometimes, jealous of his lean figure and waist so tiny you could wrap a hair tie around it.
“I’d rather get to know you than watch Hongjoong-hyung spend an hour trying to find the perfect speakers or whatever it is he needs.” Yunho reasoned, falling into step on your left while Wooyoung took your right. It was then that you noticed how tall he actually was, having to quite literally crane your neck to smile at him understandingly.
“I heard you major in acting, is that what you wanna do in the future?” You asked, then immediately realised how stupid of a question that was. Your face scrunched up with embarrassment. “Sorry, that was a dumb question.”
But Yunho laughed, not at you but rather at how endearing you are. “No, no. Don’t worry. Yeah, that’s what I hope to do in the future. But… how do you know what I major in? I don’t recall meeting you, let alone telling you what I study.” He glanced at you from the corner of his eyes, smiling at the way your eyes bulged from your skull at his insinuation.
“One of my friends also is an acting major!” You blurt, quickly explaining yourself. “You know, Kim Gahyun? I’ve heard you’re great at it.”
At his deep chuckle, you looked up at him, confused. But before you could question it, Woyooung pulled you into one of the stores abruptly.
“I love this place, you should get your stuff here!”
After observing your surroundings for a second, you realised what store you were in. Well, you didn’t realise the name of it, but rather the fact that everything would be very costly.
“I don’t know, Wooyoung…” you trailed off, stepping to the nearest clothing rack and checking the price tag of the first blouse you could get your hands on. You nearly choked at the number displayed on the pristine white tag, quickly and carefully placing it back on the rack. “Everything is too expensive and I don’t get paid enough to be able to afford more than a pair of socks here at most.”
Wooyoung and Yunho looked at each other, blinked, and then returned their gazes to you.
“I thought you were aware we were gonna pay for you.”
“Oh,” you looked between the two of them, “oh, no, no, no. I can’t ask you to do that for me.”
“You didn’t ask, we’re offering. And in this matter, we won’t take no for an answer so go ahead and explore, find things you like, try them on and then we’ll pay for you.” Yunho smiled warmly. “Consider it a gift.”
You narrowed your eyes at both of them. “What will I have to owe you?”
“Oh, Y/N,” Wooyoung sighed coming to your side and dragging you further into the store. You watched idly as he sifted his way through the clothing racks, occasionally pulling out a piece of clothing, observing it, and then putting it back. “A gift is a gift, you won’t have to owe us anything.”
“Fine,” you agree begrudgingly after two long minutes. “Where should I meet you when I’m done picking out my stuff?”
“I have to go find something to wear for our dance video, so we’ll leave you to yourself and when you’re ready just come find us,” Wooyoung said before pulling Yunho away with a smile, leaving you alone.
Browsing the racks, you realised everything seemed way too fancy to be worn to some frat party. On top of that, a lot of the things were form-fitting—a look you don’t usually go for unless it’s a really special occasion. Sighing you continued your search. The problem wasn’t the clothing, really. You felt bad about using their money. Yeah, they were rich and all, but you didn’t want to feel in debt to them.
After around five minutes of searching, you hear a soft voice next to you. It was a very pretty woman that seemed to be in her late twenties. She wore a very chic-looking black pencil dress with her hair in a sleek bun. Once she saw you notice the name tag on her chest, she offered you a friendly smile. “Hello, Ma’am. Is there any way I could help you?”
“Oh, uh,” you contemplated her offer. “Yes, actually. I need something to wear to a party. Nothing too fancy though.”
A smile overtook her features as she ushered you to follow her. Apparently, you were looking in the wrong section because she led you to a corner of the store that held things that would be more suitable; sparkly shirts and skimpy short dresses.
“Is there any style you prefer?”
You explained you’d prefer clothes that weren’t tight fits or too short. Once asking you if you had anything underneath your hoodie (a sports bra), she asked you to take off the thick material to get a better idea of your body shape. Despite hesitating for a moment, you peeled it off you and turned around slowly, letting her get a better view.
The woman—Hana, judging by her nametag—hummed and nodded. “You have some very nice curves, are you sure you wouldn’t want to show them off?”
“Well… I mean, I wouldn’t mind. But it’s just that I’d prefer comfort.” It’s true that you didn’t really mind your body, most of your weight residing in your hips and thighs. Sometimes you liked it, thinking the plump flesh gave you a softer look.
She regarded you for a moment before turning and pulling some things off the shelf. With enthusiasm, she presented some clothing items by laying them on the long bench in the middle of the section.
The first outfit she pieced together was a very short pleated black skirt accompanied by a black corset-like top. The next was made up of flared black pants and an oversized dress shirt.
Looking at them closely, you looked back at the assistant, who was watching you carefully. “What if I wear this,” you picked up the hanger with the unbuttoned dress shirt, “on top of this?” You tucked the corset top into the dress shirt and set it down on the bench, stepping back so she could take a look.
“Oh, that would work beautifully!” She smiled brightly, picking up all the items you chose as you put your hoodie back on. “You could wear a waist chain on top of the corset, it would accentuate your waist a bit more and look even more splendid. And if you’re uncomfortable you can always just button up the shirt.”
Hana led you to a smaller section of the store next to the dressing rooms, letting you go through the accessories and shoes. As you looked through the various pieces of jewellery, a hand brushed against your waist and you felt someone stand beside you. Looking to see who it was, you find Yunho, his eyes looking at the jewellery rather than you.
“Are you looking for a necklace?” He picked one from the turning display—a thin silver choker with a diamond that would rest right in between your shoulders and at the base of your neck. “I think this would be nice, no?”
“It’s very pretty.” You took it from his hands, fingers brushing against his much larger ones and inspecting it closely before you set it back on its hook. “But unfortunately, it’s not what I’m looking for. I need a waist chain.”
“Oh?” He raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on his lips. He stepped around you, looking at some of the longer chains. “Hongjoong-hyung probably has a better eye for jewellery, but I’m sure I can find something.”
“Speaking of, are they still in the other store?”
Yunho held up a thick golden rope chain, placing it back after you shook your head. “No, they’re helping Wooyoung choose his clothes. He’s very indecisive ad perfectionistic when it comes to anything related to dance, which I’m sure you’ve noticed.”
You did in fact notice that habit of his. He made you sit in the dance studio and watch him choreograph and practice, he said it was so you could get a better idea of what movements he would make ahead of time so you could already start thinking about the composition of the paintings. But you were perfectly aware he just wanted to show off to you, noticing how he would beam every time you applauded him.
However, you also noticed that if he got a move wrong, he’d beat himself up over it. Dancing it and trying to perfect it over and over and over again until he could execute it the way he wanted. Sometimes he would crumble to the ground and just lay there while you came and sat next to him, reassuring him he did great and forcing him to drink some water. You understood him completely, often feeling like that yourself. That you have to get everything right, make everything perfect just to be good at what you love to do.
There had been countless times when you scrapped your artworks. All because something felt off—the colours, the proportions, the harmony, a tiny mistake you couldn’t seem to get rid of. You understood him completely because you also knew what it was like to fail at your craft and feel like everything you worked so hard for was a waste of time.
“Yeah, I’ve noticed.” You nodded, a small frown on your lips and furrow in your eyes.
A beat of silence passed between the two of you before Yunho spoke again, a laugh resounding in his voice as he held up a series of multiple chains connected with each other. “Hey, what’s this for? How the hell would you put this on?”
He tried tying it around his waist on top of his hoodie but stopped once Hana cleared her throat.
“Sir, that’s– uh– that’s for the breasts, sir.”
“Oh.” He blanched, putting it back hastily, a light blush forming on his cheeks as you laughed. He narrowed his eyes at you. “A word of this to anyone and I’ll smother you in your sleep.”
“Aye, aye, captain.” You saluted him mockingly.
Eventually, you found something that matched your preferences—a dainty plain silver chain with a small heart clasp. Right next to it, you spotted a matching set of dangling earrings.
“Oh, look at this one! It’s so pretty!” As carefully as you could so as to not get anything tangled, you picked it off the shelf and showed it to Yunho and Hana with a bright smile on your face (Yunho nearly cooed at you).
“It’s perfect!” Hana nodded approvingly, readjusting your outfit in her gentle grip. “Are you ready to try everything on?”
“Yes, I think so– Wait.” You spun around and walked over to the selection of shoes, quickly choosing a pair of platformed Mary Janes. “Okay, I’m ready now.”
You followed Hana into the dressing rooms, Yunho going off to find the rest of the guys while you tried everything on. In the end, you were very happy with your choices. You didn’t mind that it seemed a bit fancy for a frat party, at least you looked spectacular. Besides, the oversized dress shirt added a bit of casualness to the outfit, so overall it seemed quite balanced out.
When you stepped out of the curtains of your cubical, Hana clapped and complimented you endlessly, especially when you took off the shirt and gave her a little spin with the skirt and corset top. Satisfied, you changed back into your sweatpants and hoodie and met the guys by the cashier with your outfit neatly folded in your arms.
“Ready?”
You nodded, placing your pile on the cashier’s counter next to Wooyoung’s pile. As you watched the lady scan each item and the price on the display going higher a higher, your face contorted with guilt and you looked away.
“Are you sure I can’t at least pay some of it?”
“Y/N.” Hongjoong grabbed your attention with a firm but somehow still gentle tone. “We’re part of the richest families in South Korea, I don’t want to make you feel bad about yourself or your financial status or anything, but this is barely even putting a dent in our bank accounts.”
Mouth agape, you blinked at him, looking at each of the men individually before you settled your eyes on Wooyoung, narrowing them ever so slightly and opening your mouth to speak. But before you could ask, he answered, knowing exactly what you were about to say.
“For the last time, we’re not part of the mafia.”
Jongho, who found this a lot more amusing than his hyungs, let out a series of bubbly laughs, his lips stretching into a smile and showing off his perfect gums and his shoulder pulling up and shaking as he laughed. Despite seeing him so often, you’ve never seen him display so much happiness (except for the time your bookstore was selling signed copies of one of his favourite books and he caught you giving him a small discount because you saw how excited he was) and it warmed you inside.
“Okay, if you guys say so…” you trailed off, cutting your fond gaze on Jongho off and you accepted the stylish white paper bag with your clothing from Hana.

“I don't think I've seen those plants before, my slate isn't recognising them either…”
“Must be something unique to legends Hyrule then, they must've just vanished before your time.”
He’s still focused on whatever is growing above us, although I could've sworn we were just standing under pines. Ones that are common in his home, is there something I’m missing here? What is he focusing on so intently? Is there somethin-
“You’re looking at the mistletoe? Does it really not exist in your hyrule… I guess that means the traditions doesn’t exist either then, does it?”
“Tradition?”
“So I’m right then? It doesn’t?”
Why does he seem a little ashamed by that, his ears have drooped and he doesn’t want to look at me. Is he that used to always knowing about plants or is it that he’s worried about having lost his memories about it.
“to be fair wild, I'm not entirely sure it exists in hyrule anyway. might just be something from my world.”
“what kind of tradition is it, do you miss it at all?”
“hmm, well it's mostly just fun… depends on who you're with really. Want me to show you what it is?”
he's perking up a bit now, still a little down but that should change in a moment seeing as he's nodding.
“You sure? you don't even know what it is and you wanna go through with it?”
“You’re not making it sound like a good thing… Twi isn’t going to lecture us for this is he?”
“No, no of course not. Not unless he’s got a secret crush on me anyway.”
“Wha-”
Before he had a chance to respond, I already had a hand on his collar pulling him toward me. If he wants to learn about the mistletoe then what could possibly be better than experience. I’ve been wanting to kiss him for a while now too, so it’s a perfect excuse. His lips are so soft, incredible considering how he lives the shrine must’ve had some permanent effects after it all. Kissing him is awkward to say the least, the mixture of him being caught so off guard and the fact he’s frozen solid leads to a very quick attempt at a quick peck on the lips.
Until it's over, and I've pulled away from him. It'd be a lie if I said I wasn't mildly disappointed by how little he reacted, maybe I was reading all the signs wrong and he simply didn't care for me like that. I should have given him more of a hint to what I was going to do, if he doesn't like me then it was simply cruel to force him to kiss me.
“I - sorry I didn't - I made you uncomfortable I should've told you what it was. I'm sorry link.”
“That’s the tradition then? Pressing your lips to someone elses?”
“Not quite - it’s to kiss whoever you’re standing under it with but I didn’t want to overwhelm you with...hu-!”
The disappointment must’ve shown on my face, or he just… did he just want to kiss me again? This time he’s the one taking the lead, holding my face so gently in his hands sliding his fingers slowly into my hair. The fact that he’s likely never kissed anyone makes it more clumsy, gently and softly he’s trying to find the best way to do it and I’m loving every second of it. Even despite it being the most uncertain kiss I’ve ever had… it’s taking my breath away simply how much care is going into it. Drawing a soft gasp from me too with how he’s biting faintly on my lips.
Everything has to come to an end eventually though, as he pulls away with a smirk and the cutest blush I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I’ll have to devote a lot more of my time to flustering him from now on, there’s no possible way that I could go without seeing that at least once more in my life. I would rather the shadow simply kill me than be condemned to that fate.
“That was -”
“Ishouldv’easkedI’msosor-”
“ - It was amazing link. Would you… if I asked would you do it again?” That seemed to be the final thing to fully overwhelm him, with his face going from being softly dusted with blush to being a scorching crimson while he’s trying to shy away in his own hair. If I didn’t think I could go without the one before, then I already know I’ll die if I don’t get to see it more often. It’s a shame he’s trying so hard to hide it, if only I could just…
“[Name]... What are you?”
“Oh! I um… I wasn’t thinking I just. I you look so cute and I just, you don’t need to hide yourself away from me link.”
Just a shaky breath and nuzzling his head on my hand in response. He can’t even look me in the eye.
“Does this mean that you like the tradition though?”

Fives, Tup, and Dogma in a fort!
Soooo sorry about last week, I've been ridiculously busy, but we're back to my usual weekly Sunday updates of Raising Dominoes for the foreseeable future!
Anyways, here is Chapter 8 - Furniture and Forts. It was mostly just an excuse to draw the boys in a blanket fort :)
Prologue: 00 Previous chapter: 07 Next chapter: 09
Summary: Tup and Dogma help Fives set up his new room before a power outage frightens them.
CW: Implied/referenced child abuse, panic attacks, power outages
Chapter 8 - Furniture and Forts
Fives had not been able to fall back asleep after his nightmare, so after Cody left they spent the rest of the morning playing with the toys that Rex had bought the day before. At first Fives seemed to have trouble with the concept of playing. He would just sit in front of the toys staring at them blankly until Rex told him to do something specific with them, at which point he would comply, but after a while he seemed to get the gist of it. He began to make up little scenarios with the action figures and would have them battle each other.
It did not sit well with Rex that fighting seemed to be the only thing his son knew well enough to recreate in play, but Fives did seem to be having fun, so he tried not to intervene. Well, he might have been trying to coax Fives into helping him build a racetrack out of Legos for the matchbox cars, but the boy was too busy bashing the small plastic soldiers together and making blaster noises to notice.
By early afternoon Fives seemed to be running out of energy. The workers also arrived to deliver the boys’ furniture, so Rex turned the TV on to a random cartoon channel and let Fives curl up on the couch and watch it while he helped the guys set up the room.
When they were done the workers left and Rex found Fives still watching the show. He had hoped the boy would have fallen asleep, but he supposed it had probably been a little loud for that.
“Hey, buddy,” Rex sank down on the couch next to Fives.
Fives quickly turned his attention to Rex, television forgotten, “Are they done? Can I see?”
Rex chuckled, “Yep.”
Fives grinned and jumped up. He ran to his new room and stopped in the doorway. Rex joined him.
The furniture was all from the same set, so every piece had the same dark stained wood. It was a little weird to see the room with just furniture and no decorations, but Fives did not seem to mind. The kid was practically trembling with excitement.
Each side of the room had a bed with a bare mattress sitting in the far corner, and a nightstand, desk, dresser, and bookshelf up against the wall. Fives looked up at Rex, “This is really all just for me and Echo?”
“This is your room, yeah.”
“Wow.”
Rex grinned and pushed Fives lightly into the room, “Go on. Pick which side you want.”
Fives looked around the room and took a tentative step forward before looking back to Rex uncertainly.
“It’s okay,” Rex tried to reassure, “Just pick which bed you want to sleep in.”
Fives looked like he was making the hardest decision of his life before stepping over to the bed on the left and turning back to Rex, “This one?”
“Perfect.”
Fives beamed, “Can we-”
He was cut off by the sound of muffled voices:
“No, you have to knock louder, Tup. He’s not gonna hear that.”
The second voice was too soft to hear through the walls, but a loud knock rang through the apartment.
Fives looked up at Rex, his brows drawn together, and a tight frown tugged down the corners of his lips.
“It’s alright, those are my friends,” Rex said, flicking on the light in Fives’s room and motioning for the boy to follow him as he made his way down the hallway towards the door, turning on all the lights as he went. “You remember Hardcase?”
“Y-yeah,” Fives answered.
“These are his little cousins Dogma and Tup. They’re just a bit older than you.”
Fives nodded, but hesitated as they reached the entryway, “Why’d you turn on all the lights?”
“Oh, uh, they don’t like the dark,” Rex said softly, opening the door before Fives could ask why not.
They were met with a scowling preteen with close cropped hair and a boy with longer wavy hair that could have been the other’s twin if he was not a few years younger standing in front of a large box.
It took Rex a second to register, but when he did he grinned, “Thanks. This is your guys’ old stuff?”
The boys nodded.
Rex pulled the container into his apartment, “Awesome. This is great.”
Fives peered out from behind Rex and gave the older boys a small wave. Tup offered a shy smile and inched a bit closer to Dogma, who wrapped his arm around his brother and attempted a smile of his own, but it did not quite reach his eyes.
Dogma craned his neck to see into the apartment, “What were all those people doing?”
“Setting up Fives and Echo’s new room,” Rex said, ruffling Fives’s hair.
Tup’s eyebrows raised in interest. Rex new the look well and smiled at the boy, “If it’s okay with Fives, you guys can check it out. It’s not finished or anything though.”
Tup and Dogma exchanged a glance before looking to Fives.
“It’s okay,” Fives said, shifting a little behind Rex even as the words left his mouth.
Tup smiled and followed Dogma as he made his way into the apartment.
Dogma puffed out his chest and turned to address Fives, “My name is Dogma, I’m twelve years old and 3 months. This is my brother Tup. He’s ten.”
Fives’s large brown eyes darted between the boys, “I’m Fives.”
Dogma and Tup stayed to help unpack and decorate the bedroom. Dogma was helping Rex make the beds and the younger boys were putting Tup’s hand-me-downs in the dresser. Fives pulled out a shirt and passed it to Tup, “Echo.”
Tup hesitated, “Are you sure? You’re giving way more clothes to Echo than to yourself.” Fives shrugged, “That shirt is red. Echo likes red.”
Rex looked over to the dresser and saw that Echo’s was full and Fives’s practically empty, “Tup’s right, Fives. You need clothes to wear too. Why don’t you start putting more things in your dresser.”
Fives’s eyebrows pushed together, and he looked down into the box of clothes, “But- but what if Echo wants them?”
Rex shrugged, “When Echo gets home you guys can trade if you want, but for now you need to give yourself more clothes.”
Fives still looked a little confused and when Tup moved to place the red shirt in his dresser rather than Echo’s, he shook his head.
Tup froze, looking from Fives to the dresser to Rex, who was busy tucking in sheets. Dogma had been listening to the exchange while making Fives’s bed and looked up at the silence. He caught on quick and scowled at Fives, “Rex said-”
“But Echo would really like that shirt!” Fives interrupted, voice hitting a whiney pitch.
Dogma’s scowl deepened and Tup looked like he would rather be anywhere than caught in this crossfire.
Rex looked over and was about to say something, but Fives beat him to it, “I-I’ll take the rest of them, just- just Echo would really like that one.”
“But-” Dogma started, confusion replacing his scowl.
“It’s fine,” Rex interjected, he had heard the panic in Fives’s voice, and he did not want to make it any worse.
Dogma opened his mouth to say something.
“It’s fine, Dogma,” Rex repeated with a bit more force.
Dogma mumbled out a quiet apology and turned back to Fives’s bed, his ears turning red.
“Tup, why don’t you put that one in Echo’s drawer,” Rex nodded to the red tee still clutched in Tup’s hand. The boy obliged and Rex continued, “But the rest go to Fives, okay?”
Fives nodded seriously.
With four sets of helping hands, they were able to finish setting up the room fairly quickly. After learning that Jesse was out taking Hardcase to his drum lesson and Kix had picked up an extra shift at the hospital (which Rex could not help but feel responsible for), Rex insisted on Dogma and Tup staying for dinner. The boys did not complain.
While they were eating Dogma suddenly pointed out the window, “Hey, it’s snowing!”
“Really?” Tup jumped up and ran to the window.
Fives joined Tup, “Whoa, it’s so fluffy.”
Dogma’s eyes darted between his plate and the window, clearly debating something. Rex felt an odd pang in his chest at how hard this decision seemed to be for the kid. He smiled gently, “You can go take a closer look.”
Dogma’s eyes snapped to his, “But we’re eating?”
“The food will still be here after you take a look.”
“Come on, Dogma!” Tup exclaimed, unable to hide his excitement.
Dogma slowly and a little rigidly got up from the table and made his way over to his brother, glancing back uncertainly at Rex every few feet.
Rex nodded encouragingly. He had known Dogma and Tup ever since Kix had taken them in six years ago. The boys had been scared and nervous and so afraid of the dark that they refused to sleep until they all but collapsed. As the years went on, they acclimated to their new environment as well as one could expect, but Tup was still a shy bundle of worry and Dogma was still overly compliant to what he believed the “rules” were. And they were both still scared of the dark.
“It’s windy,” Fives noted.
“Really windy,” Dogma breathed, sounding lost in thought.
Tup turned from the window to look at Rex, his face scrunched up with worry, “Do you think the power’s gonna go out?”
Rex shook his head, “Probably not.”
Tup turned back to the window and Rex grimaced; he could hear the wind howling outside.
The boys had taken to playing in the twins’ room after dinner while Rex cleaned up. From what he could hear in the kitchen, it sounded like Dogma was teaching Fives some sort of card game. Rex smiled; he was glad they were getting along.
As soon as he finished scrubbing the last dish, the lights flickered in the apartment. Rex dropped the plate back into the sink and ran to the bedroom.
Dogma sat cross legged on the floor in front of a game of palace, back stiff as a board, eyes wide and focused on a space just in front of Rex. Tup had thrown himself over his older brother and was clinging to him, eyes just as wide and filled with terror.
Fives’s back was to Rex, and he turned, a frown tugging down the corners of his lips, “What-”
Just then the lights went out and they were plunged into darkness.
Rex moved quickly, scooping up Tup and pulling him into his lap, just as he had seen Kix do a million times before. The boy was already hyperventilating, his small chest rising and falling quickly with each shallow, ragged breath. Rex pulled his hand through Tup’s wavy hair, and exaggerated his breathing in the hopes that Tup would feel it and it would help him regulate his own.
“You’re safe, Tup. It’s me, Rex. You’re in my apartment.”
Tup clung to Rex a little tighter, but his breathing remained quick and shallow.
Rex turned to Fives, whose outline he could see in the dim light from the window, “Fives, there’s a flashlight on my nightstand in my room. Do you think you could get it for me?”
Fives made an affirmative noise and scurried into the darkness.
“How are you doing, Dogma?” Rex asked, turning his attention to the older boy for a moment.
Dogma did not respond, so Rex pulled him in close to his side, “I got you, you’re safe.” Dogma rested his head against Rex’s shoulder and trembled, speaking softly, “I’m sorry. I didn’t want to.”
Rex felt hot tears seeping into his shirt and could not help but feel like he was in way over his head. He had no idea what Dogma was apologizing for, but he supposed that did not matter.
“I know,” Rex said gently, even though did not, “It’s alright.”
Fives reappeared with the flashlight in hand and passed it to Rex. Rex switched it on immediately and it flickered to life, bathing the room in a golden light. He felt Dogma relax a bit beside him and gave the sniffling boy a quick squeeze before turning his attention back to Tup.
Tup was still in the throws of a panic attack and clung to Rex with a force and determination he did not know the ten-year-old had. Rex gently pried one of Tup’s hand off him and pressed the flashlight into it, “Here, have the light.”
Tup clutched the flashlight and slumped against Rex, his breaths erratic as he struggled to calm down.
“Breath with me, Tup. In,” Rex took a deep breath in before letting it out slowly, “Out.”
Rex kept inhaling and exhaling with Tup and eventually got the boy to slow his breathing. All the fight left Tup’s body and he slumped weakly against Rex.
“You want me to call Kix?” Rex asked gently.
Tup shook his head.
“Jesse?”
“No.”
“It wouldn’t be a bother.”
“No. I’m- I’m okay now,” Tup said shakily.
Rex frowned, Tup was far from okay, “You’ll stay here until Kix or Jesse get home.”
Tup nodded against him.
“Um, excuse me, sir?” Fives pipped up from the doorway of his bedroom where he had watched the scene unfold.
“Yes, little soldier?” Rex said the joking nickname coming automatically.
“Can we build a fort?”
“Like a blanket fort?” Rex asked, a little surprised Fives even knew what that was.
Fives nodded, “When we were scared like this, we would hide in a fort.”
“Yeah,” Rex said slowly, wondering how many times the twins had been “scared like this.”
Fives grinned and turned to Dogma, “Dogma, there are extra blankets in the closet in the hallway. We need three.”
The preteen sniffled and wiped his face, but got up and swiftly made his way out of the room, following the orders like his life depended on it.
Once Dogma had his mission, Fives sat down next to Tup—who was curled up in Rex’s lap and did not seem like he planned on leaving anytime soon—and explained his architectural vision for the fort. The plan distracted Tup from the power outage and Rex had to admit that there was no way he could have handled the situation better than his seven-year-old son currently was.
Dogma returned from the dimly lit hallway quickly and handed the blankets over to Fives.
The construction of the fort was left mostly to Fives and Dogma, but Tup did seem to be taking an interest in it. Rex nudged the boy in his lap as the other two finished up the fort and began crawling around in it, “Want to play with Dogma and Fives?”
Tup hesitated, “Can I keep the flashlight?”
“Of course,” Rex nodded, giving the kid a gentle push towards the others.
Tup crawled over to join his brother and Fives, who were now talking enthusiastically about “defense systems” they could put in place to fortify their creation.
Rex could have sworn he even saw Dogma smiling.

[KICKS THE DOOR IN]
hi yes hello! I'd like to request praise + dancing [and for absolute challenge points, should it spark joy; playing with hair]
ty 💜
I don't remember what list this is from 🫣 anyway have 600 words of pre-relationship obikin
-
Obi-Wan watched the class of padawans with amusement. There was a senate ball coming up, and a number of Jedi had been invited as guests. Mostly those who had mediated planetary disputes for the Senate. Their padawans, regardless of their actual help in said mediations, were also invited.
Which led to this: Anakin Skywalker, nineteen years old, had been invited to a ball and needed to learn how to dance. Obi-Wan had offered to teach him but Anakin had stubbornly refused his help, opting to attend one of the classes offered in temple instead.
It was funny, Obi-Wan thought, that someone who was normally preternaturally graceful suddenly seemed to have two left feet when asked to put their hands on another being and move to a beat.
He waited quietly in the balcony above the gym that had been commandeered for tonight’s dance class. Eventually the Master teaching had either imparted all the knowledge he’d wished to for the day or gave up and dismissed the group. Obi-Wan couldn’t quite tell. About 20% of the class was as bad as Anakin, 70% were passable if not graceful, and the final 10% looked to require no instruction at all.
As the padawans started to trickle out Obi-Wan tugged on the bond he shared with Anakin, drawing his attention to the balcony where Obi-Wan hid in the shadows.
Anakin waved off the group who’d asked him to join them for dinner, giving some excuse that Obi-Wan couldn’t hear. They left quickly enough. Once the gym was clear of anyone except him and Anakin, Obi-Wan leapt down from the balcony, landing lightly on the wooden floor.
“Did you watch the whole time?” Anakin’s voice was sullen as he asked, but the red on his cheeks betrayed his embarrassment.
“Long enough to see you trip over your own feet,” Obi-Wan told him with a smile. “You hardly stood out though. I thought that poor togruta was going to fall on his ass more than once.”
That brought a glimmer of a smile to Anakin’s face. “Nash can’t seem to keep a tempo, he ends up tangled with his partner when he’s a beat ahead of or behind them.”
Obi-Wan moved to the music player and selected a song that hadn’t been played during class. “Would you like to take up my offer to help you now?”
Anakin groaned but took Obi-Wan’s hand. “We didn’t practice with this music.”
Obi-Wan arranged them so that they were in the first pose of the dance Anakin’s class had been attempting. “It’s the same steps you were learning. Just with a song you might have actually heard before, not one that was popular seventy years ago.” Anakin laughed and some of the tension held in his tight shoulders dispelled.
They started out tentatively. Anakin was trying to keep distance between them and as a result had trouble feeling the movements Obi-Wan tried to guide him into with gentle pulls and pushes.
“Look at me, padawan,” Obi-Wan said. He ran a hand up the back of Anakin’s neck, fingers twisting into the short ponytail there and gently but firmly tilting Anakin’s head up until they made eye contact. “You can’t be afraid to touch your partner. You must be in tune with each other, able to feel where the other is going to be before they’re there.”
Anakin nodded shortly. His cheeks were a flaming red but he did as instructed. The hand at Obi-Wan’s waist tightened and the one on his shoulder pressed more firmly into Obi-Wan. Slowly, their steps became more and more in sync until they were moving around the floor in perfect harmony with the music.
“Very good, Anakin,” Obi-Wan murmured softly. He tugged on Anakin’s hair one more time. “Just keep your eyes on me.”

Working on my soulmate WIP diligently, it’s 10k words already and it’s sort of all over the place (I have too many ideas and might need to just take some parts out and write another fic with them) but here’s a preview of what’s to come
I wanted to explore a world where soulmates are less of a “true love” sort of thing and more “someone who will be important to you in some way”. Of course, society treats the idea of soulmates as a strictly romantic thing (especially in Edwin’s time) and many people use their apparent soul bond as an excuse to harm others.
I’ve always been interested in soulmate AUs, how they would affect the society and way relationships form, and I thought DBD would be a fun fandom to explore that in. So yeah, Edwin and Charles aren’t soulmates in this, because they aren’t supposed to meet. How wonderfully romantic it is to fall in love anyway?
(Please if you enjoy this at all let me know, as I said my Google doc is a mess right now and I need motivation to edit and finish it)
It is in the summer of his 16th year that Edwin Payne meets his soulmate. It is July and he would quite literally like to be anywhere else, the heat is oppressive even indoors as he sits stiffly on the chaise longue beside his betrothed.
She wears a respectable pale blue dress that flares out at her ankles, her blonde hair is neatly tied up, and she never once smiles with her teeth. In fact, they do not so much as look at one other during their conversation, opting to stare out the bay window across the room.
“You seem like a very lovely young lady,” Edwin says, because he has no clue what else to say. She nods once at the compliment and does not seem offended by the lack of emotion he holds towards her.
“I look forward to our continued courtship.” In the corner of the room Edwin can feel the heavy stare of his soulmate’s governess. He knows this is utterly wrong (they are soulmates, the woman should have to beat them away from each other. Yet, the idea of trying to kiss this girl sends a shudder through him), but he does not know how to fix it.
They met the way offspring of the rich often do; parents having hired a professional soulmate tracker. After a month of worrying (what if she was lower class or, god forbid, not English. If his soulmate was of lesser stock, obviously it meant he was too and his parents would not hesitate to send him away for good) he finally received the notice— Miss Eliza Geralds had been located.
So, here he sits. She is of noble blood, the match will be beneficial for both of their families. Edwin tries, as he looks at her, to imagine all the things he should feel; the overwhelming love, the feeling of two puzzle pieces snapping together. The problem is he doesn’t feel anything of the sort— just vaguely sweaty.
The whole soulmate business was something he never quite got, after all. Here they were, the intangible red string that proclaimed them to be the perfect match for each other laying neatly between them, and he felt nothing. Yes, objectively he could say she was pretty. Yes, objectively he would say she was smart. In fact, as they met and talked and he realized this was the woman he would be married to in just a few years, Edwin could not say he minded her being his soulmate. If it had to be someone, he would take her.
But, and there is always a but where he is concerned, he does not love her. While he is not an enjoyer of romance novels (preferring detective stories in which the mystery overshadowed any relationships) he knew the basics of how this was supposed to go. Man meets woman, they are soulmates, they fall madly in love at first sight. He doesn’t feel anything except slightly uncomfortable as the future Mrs. Payne smiles (tightly, showing no teeth) and says he is ‘not as bad as he could be’ (Sherlock Holmes had a point when he said “the motives of women were inscrutible”, because what the devil could that mean?) as their initial meeting draws to a close.
When he goes to bed that night he runs a finger over the red string that sits upon his wrist. It is more a curse than ever, tying him to a life he wanted to escape. There’s a war on, they say it will be over soon enough (they have been saying that for two years now), and Edwin knows if it lasts much longer he will be sent off with the rest of his class. He will be sent off with his class to drown in mud and bullets and gas, and when he returns (will he ever return?) there will still be no escape, for Eliza will be waiting and he will be responsible for her.
His future is mapped out and crystal clear. Fight for England (try not to die). Go to law school (graduate early, do not be there longer than he has to). Marry the girl (the wedding will be small and he will practice in the mirror until he looks in love enough as to not break her heart). Have children (he will try to love them, better than his parents did for him, but he will mess it up of course. He only hopes they turn out more like their mother). Die (It will be nice to finally rest away from the expectations that weight down his every step. He can only hope it will be quick). He tugs the string that chains him down and felt a distant thrum of unease mingle with his own anxiety. Eliza is just as doubtful as he, it seems.
The thing about a soulmate is that they were truly nothing but a wild guess, a stab in the dark, an attempt at unconditional love. Edwin knew of soulmates who could never imagine life without the other. Edwin knew of soulmates who fought violently and spewed hateful words. Edwin had heard of a man and woman who were soulmates, the man murdering the woman in the middle of a crowded street. So, soulmates. Was your supposed other half your better or your worse?
Fight in the war (don’t die). Go to law school (do it quickly). Marry the girl (learn to fake it well). Have children (they will be the best part of him). Die (quick, in his sleep, no suffering).
Five months later Edwin accomplishes the last one. He was right, the actual dying bit is very quick. There is suffering, though. He suffers more in those last seconds than all his years on earth. He doesn’t notice the string fade to gray and slip from his wrist as his body is disintegrated and dragged to Hell. There is no comfort in Hell, after all, not even from a girl he could only teach himself to love.

Closing shifts were always your favorite. Your other coworkers hated them with a passion, and always asked to switch your morning shifts with their nights. At first they would give excuses along the lines of having to attend their kids' baseball games or attending family events, but that quickly fell through when you pointed out that they both couldn't possibly be that busy every closing shift.
"OK, You got me. Honestly, I'm surprised it took you this long to protest. You're definitely braver than us." Del was restocking the freezer with novelty ice cream bars as you sent reminder texts to renters informing them of their upcoming due dates and waited for a customer to ring.
"What do you mean? " you replied, smacking on a thick wad of hubba bubba between pauses, "I'm just saying if you guys don't like closing I'm more than happy to talk to the boss about scheduling me for the late shifts."
"You- you like the closing shift?" He seemed too astonished to multitasking, as he'd almost dropped a box onto the floor.
"Yeah, it's pretty easy, and I'm more of a night owl anyway."
"Wait, so you haven't noticed anyone… unusual coming in on your night shifts?" His hands were now too preoccupied on carrying the conversation than work.
"No? Just the same regulars that rent a porno and grab a few beers. They never make any advances on me, and I don't really give a fuck about their purchases." You continued to pay just as much attention as you had been to your work task.
"No, no, that's not what I mean." He shook his head and pointed to you, earning you a slight glance in acknowledgement.
"Well, what do you mean?" What else could he possibly mean?
He sighed, " Well, there's this… guy?" He gestured vaguely, "Eh, that comes in every now and again. He always wears this big ass trench coat, smells like pennies and has this fucked up face."
You turned your head to the side and sucked a bubble inside your cheek, "That's a bit rude."
"Hey, if you saw the guy, you'd agree. Anyway, I don't like him, and he makes Fernanda uncomfortable. Besides, he never buys anything. Just walks in, stares at this section or that, stands there for minutes at a time, and eventually leaves. And he scares other customers away!"
"Have you ever talked to him? Customer service is part of our job, you know."
"Nahhhhh, fuck that." He turned back to his task at hand.
You rolled your eyes, "It would get him out of the store quickly. And make us some money."
"Well, sounds like you can handle him perfectly well yourself. Don't come crying to us when you're stuck with all the night shifts and eventually run into that guy."
"You're so melodramatic. I doubt it's anywhere near as bad as you make it out. Y'all have probably already ran him off with your shit people skills, given that I haven't ran into this guy the entire two weeks I've been here."
"Oh, shit. I hadn't thought of that." He had stopped a moment to think, then looked at you and shrugged.
"No take-backsies. Night shift's mine."
It was another two weeks before you finally saw him enter the store. You had already taken care of clean up and restocking routines as usual and were left with most of your shift to act busy until it was time for closing. This time was perfect for getting a little bit of drawing done between customers, your boss didn't mind as long as you made a few sales throughout the night. You were so focused on your drawing that you hadn't noticed him enter. He was quiet, the only thing that tipped you off to his presence was the smell of pennies that Del had warned you about. When you looked up, he was standing in front of the miniscule horror selection, his back towards you, head almost entirely obscured by a tall standing collar reminiscent of something one might see a villain clad in a noir or giallo film. It took you just a moment to muster up the courage to approach him.
"Can I help you find something today?"
There was a moment of silence, almost as if he were hesitating, then a nearly unnoticeable nod, careful to obscure his face behind his messy dark strands.
You glanced at the titles before you, considering what might fall into his taste. "If you're on the hunt for a horror recommendation, you've found the right person to help." You ignored the fact that you were the one who approached him. After a moment of careful contemplation, you grabbed two movies, one to your left and one you had to excuse yourself to grab in front of him.
"We don't have a huge selection right now, but these are two classic giallo films I think you might find an interest in," you showed him Deep Red and The Bird With The Crystal Plumage. "Oh! Actually, I have one more recommendation from our thrillers."
He observed the covers of each DVD before flipping them over and reading the back as you perused the adjacent aisle.
"Here it is!" You grabbed the movie and brought it to him. "No Country For Old Men is more of a personal favorite," you said, pointing at the 'Employee Picks' poster by the register, "but I have a feeling you'd like it, too."
He studied the back of that case as well. The opportunity to peek at his face while he was distracted was not wasted. Admittedly, he was an individual that oozed mystique. When he caught you staring you tried to deflect with more customer service as an excuse.
"Um, if you like, we have rental versions. So you can watch them all before you commit to buying any." There was no way he hadn't caught you blushing. "I'll just give you a few minutes to think about it," you said, hiding behind the register once again. He was silent approaching the register with the rental copies of the movies you had shown him and through the completion of the transaction.
"The rentals are due on the 25th, you're all good to go."
He nodded and turned for the door.
"See you in two weeks," you smiled, and he was gone.
The next two weeks were uneventful, just you counting down every day until the 25th of the month. In the meantime, you badgered your boss to expand the selection of horror films and thought of what to show him next time he came through. When the day finally came your coworkers noticed how unusually chipper you were, and you brush it off as it being your weekend after today. The night turned late without any sign of him, and you worried that he returned the videos earlier in the day, or on a night you didn't work. Just as you were losing hope and thinking of closing a few minutes early, a call rang the store phone.
"Hello, thank you for calling Marty's Movies and Munchies. How can I help you tonight?"
The voice on the other line was strained and slow at first, deep and raspy in a way you found incredibly sexy. "Are you closed? I need to return some videos. I'm a bit later than I expected to be."
You lean in to the counter, feeling generous enough (and hopeful that he'll come by) to let the sexy-voiced customer in after close. Not like you had plans, anyway. "Nope, you still have about ten minutes 'till doors close, but since you called ahead I'll give you an additional ten minute grace period. Any later than that and you'll have to bring it in tomorrow and pay a small late fee."
"No need, I'm already here."
Before you could question the caller, the ringing of the bell hung above the door caught your attention. Immediately, you recognized the gangly form of the man your coworkers had not-so-affectionately dubbed The Creeper. Your gaze lingered on him, trying to get another glance at his piercing eyes through the curtain of hair that he made sure masked his face. He must have picked up on it and became self conscious, as he pulled his high collar up and sunk further behind its shadow. Odd enough, but you also noticed that he didn't appear to be holding a cell phone.
Feeling particularly brave, and maybe a bit too confident, you leaned over the counter and smiled at him, "So that's what you sound like, huh?"
His posture noticeably stiffened.
"Or is it a voice modulator? Either way, it's kinda sexy."
"Just…return these, will you?" It was quite cute how he would avert his eyes and take half a step back out of embarrassment. You didn't take him for the shy type.
Though he stumbled over every word, you had forgotten the landlines propped between your head and shoulder and the sudden noise in your ear made you jump back. "Yeah, sure thing."
"And," he hesitated for a moment, "I think I would like to purchase my own videos."
"Ok, DVD or blu-ray?" You already had them picked out and waiting for him under the counter, and held them out for him to choose.
"I… don't know the difference."
"You don't know which you have?"
He looked embarrassed and almost shrank right where he stood, "I watch them on my sister's device."
"Well does she have movies like this," you shook the bigger case in your left hand, "or this?" shaking then the smaller blue case.
"Both?" Incredible. You had no idea how anyone could just not know the difference.
"OK, I'm choosing for you," you said, stuffing a plastic shopping bag with blu-ray copies of each film. "You're getting blu-ray. They're better."
"What if I'm wrong? Will a DVD player work with these movies?"
His questions were honestly the most interesting ones you would get from customers, even if just for the sheer unawareness he had demonstrated in... pretty much everything. "Jesus Christ dude. Have you been living under a rock for the past 25 years or something?"
"Something like that," he answered a bit too readily, "And a bit longer."
You blinked and chose to ignore the statement. He was weird, odd looking, brooding, and now, obviously, a bit socially inept. God, he just became more and more your type, and you were dying to score. "Well," you started, "DVD players are the older video player and therefore not backwards compatible, but blu-ray players can play both. If your sister has both kinds of movies, she most likely has a blu-ray player, but," you wrote your number on a notepad kept at the counter and tore the page off, sliding it into the bag with his purchase, "if you have any questions or run into any problems you can call me. I might just let you come over and use mine." You ended with a wink to give it what you hoped was an extra layer of obvious courtship.
"Why would I use your device? I'll just buy my own." He pulled out a loose debit card from the right pocket of his coat and shoved it in your direction expectantly.
You sighed and took his debit card, ignoring your initial glance at the name– certainly not the name he had given for his customer account– then prepared to slide the card through the reader. "God, you are oblivious," you rolled your eyes. "Ok, your total is–"
"Wait," he quickly interrupted, then hesitated for a fraction of a second, "I want to rent another movie."
Of course! You had forgotten the movie you had previously selected for him. "Anything in mind?"
"I trust your judgment."
Your grin couldn't be wider as you grabbed the last rental copy of Possession from your 'Employee Picks' cubby. "You'll love this one. I feel a particular kinship with Isabelle Adjani's character, Anna. I think you'll like her too." With that, you rang up his total and saw him out the door.
By the time he left it was fifteen minutes past closing and you had to rush to finish up routines. You couldn't wait to brag to your coworkers that you had made a big sale to The Creeper. There wasn't much time to revel in your victory and plan your next move, however, because he had returned the following night. As it turns out, you didn't need to. He practically fell right into your lap.
When he entered, you immediately noticed that he walked with much more confidence than before. Ioday, he wore his coat open, and the standing collar limped to the side, putting his face, though still partially obscured by his gangly hair, almost proudly on display. You were so distracted by his drastic change in demeanor that you almost didn't notice him speaking to you.
"I want my own copy of this movie."
"I'm sorry, but we don't have any more for sale. You can always come in and renew your rental every two weeks, though that limits the number of other movies you can–"
"Order it for me."
"I can't do that, unfortunately, but–"
"Yes? But what?"
You prop your elbow on the counter and rest your head in your palm, looking up at him from just below, "I have my own copy in my personal collection. You can come by and watch it anytime you like."
"Tonight. I'm coming home with you."
You laughed at how forward he was suddenly being, "Sure. I'm closing up in a few minutes," you tossed him your keys. "Wait for me in the car."
A few minutes later, you locked up the store and entered your car, where he sat nervously waiting for you.
Bonus!
You had waited all day for the unknown call with steadily declining patience. It's not that you were annoyed. You were just excited for your weekly visit. Every week the routine was the same: he comes or calls, spends hours with you holed up in your room and leaves you shivering under your sheets, eagerly awaiting his next arrival.
Your work day crawled by at an agonizing pace, not helped by the slow business this time of year– and in your particular line of retail. The number of customers that came through the small video store could be counted on one hand, and the number that actually made a purchase even less. As usual, most of your shift was spent doodling in your sketchbook. Lately, they would all be little sketches of him. His hair was your favorite thing to draw; the contrasting textures of his wavy, dry hair and bloody wet tangles looping around one another, the cracked leather coat he always wore, drawing special and precise attention to his bright eyes and the exposed muscles of his face. Your sketchbook was littered with countless finished and unfinished pencil and ink sketches alike. Sometimes, you would add a splash of color, usually red or blue.
He never came into the store anymore. Instead, he would pick from your personal collection and give you money for a copy of his own if he really liked the film. Once or twice, you had tried to set up a cute movie marathon date night, but he would often get...  distracted. It was nice, though. Sneaking him in through your window so your roommates didn't freak out and fucking with the lights out and a movie on in the background made you feel like a teenager again. The butterflies he would churn up in your stomach and the heavy feeling in your chest when you thought of him made you absolutely giddy, though you would have a hard time admitting it if pressed.
It wasn't often he would leave you hanging. If he couldn't make it, he would at least call you and let you know ahead of time. At least then you'd know to set time aside to take care of yourself.
Tonight was one such night. No call, no cancel, no sign of him. By the time you would usually have heard from him, you had had enough of waiting and decided to pleasure yourself. Earphones plugged in with your background noise of choice, lube in hand, toy at the ready, you went to work. As you moved your hands over your body, you imagined they were his. Admittedly, only he could tease you the way you really needed it, from with feather-light touches that tickled your inner thighs, to his hands wrapped around your neck in a vice grip; but tonight, your own would have to do. Just the thought of him touching you like that had you crying out his name. It wasn't until you were nearing your peak that your session was interrupted by an incoming call.
You let the phone ring as you stared at the ID on the screen.
UNKNOWN
It had to be him. It always was. You let the call linger for a few more seconds before you finally picked up the line– you just had to tease him a little bit. A few seconds of silence greeted your ears and planted a seed of uncertainty. "Hello?"
Nothing to be heard on the other line. You considered hanging up before the familiar feedback pierced the line. He said nothing at first, leaving you shivering in anticipation.
There was a sigh on the other end of the line, or perhaps a dark stifled laugh.
"Starting the show without me, sweetheart? What, no more ten minute grace period for me?"

Could you do a Yasmina x fem reader any theme is fine, hope your having a good day and thanks if you do do my req <3 !
hi! sorry for the delay but here it is! I hope this is okay :)
You never thought you’d say this, but life on the island is boring. You never realized how little there was to do when you weren’t running for your life. Yas shared that sentiment. She’s not used to be confined to a smaller space, not that the island is cramped or anything, everyone would just prefer if she didn’t run off on her own since no one knew what was out there. And not to mention, no one could keep up with her. You had to be honest, neither could you but you wished you could. You wondered it that was enough.
You hadn’t been out there very long, it’s only been about a month since you all missed the ferry. Since Ben fell off the monorail. SInce you all realized, you had nothing but each other and that would have to be enough.
“Hey Y/n! Get over here, I have something I want to show you!” Yas called.
You weren’t expecting it but apparently Brooklynn was. She patted your shoulder and said, “Go get her!”
You waved her off as you went to see what Yas had for you.
“Come with me.” Yas gently brings you not far from the base you all had set up. A small cave. The sun was at the perfect place in the sky to warmly illuminate the inside. It was just the two of you, you were nervous. How could you not be? It was Yas. The Track Star. The prettiest (and snarkiest) girl you’d ever seen.
“What’re we doing here?” You ask, you look around the cave, there are little drawings everywhere.
“I.. realized that if you take a rock or something and mash up the right flowers…. You get some kind of colored paint and I thought that you might like them.” She sort of mutters and maybe it’s a trick of the light (or smeared paint) you could’ve sworn her cheeks were pink.
“You made paint? Yas that’s amazing!” You spin around, taking in all the drawings on the walls as you realize she drew them. “It’s like we’re cave people again! Can I try?”
“Yeah! Of course, let me show you.” Yas says, grabbing some wood that’s almost shaped like a bowl and a particularly thick stick. “What color do you want to make?”
“Anything your heart desires.” You tell her with a smile.
She rolls her eyes, “Wow, that’s helpful.” Her smile tells you she’s not mad.
“Fine, how about… orange?” You choose finally.
Yas picks up some berries, the kind you can’t eat. You watch her hands as she mushes them creating a thick orange paste. She hands you the bowl and says, “Go wild.”
And you certainly do, you had been bored before and now you finally had something to do. Something to do with the girl you liked, you had an excuse to bond with her. You had wondered why she showed you her gallery instead of Sammy, who you noticed she was close to even after their falling out due to Broolynn’s phone situation. Maybe you actually meant something to her. Something special. There’s one thing she never let anyone see, her sketchbook. And now she let you into her safe space, her own personal art gallery. She doesn’t see you as a critic as you walk the metaphorical halls, you’re a patron. You’re an aesthete and she’s the art.
You both stay in the cave for hours, painting until you ask, “What should I draw?”
“Whatever your heart desires.” She replies, dipping her thumb into her own paint.
“Haha very funny.” You laugh as she gets revenge for earlier. “Know what? Yeah, I will.”
You draw a girl. Black hair, always tied up. She wears a ripped gray track suit with purple accents. The girl’s ankle is hurt but she’s running anyway. She smiles anyway, in a situation full of uncertainty she’s sure of herself. Or seems so. She’s what-
“I thought you were going to draw what your heart desires. Not me” Yas smiles at you though she is confused, maybe she’s trying not to get her hopes up.
“I did.. I drew you.” I admit quietly from across the cave. It’s harder than you thought it’d be. Harder than running from dinosaurs? No. That’s definitely scarier, but this is close!
“You desire… me? Like- You mean?” Yas asks, looking at you trying to read your mind.
“Yeah! I… like you.” It feels weird to get that off of your chest. Yas walks closer and gently puts her hand to your cheek.
“I like you too.” She smiles at you and you smile back. She moves her hand then laughs, “You uh.. have a little something there.”
You put your hand where hers just was. There’s paint on your cheek in the shape of her hand.
Before you get a chance to comment, Brooklynn pokes her head in, “There you guy- am I interrupting something?” She wiggles her brows.
“Yes!”

A3! Backstage Story Translation - Tsumugi Tsukioka SSR: Whereabouts of the Lost Item - Part 2
Tumblr media
Citron: Thanks for helping us out, Itaru!
Itaru: No prob.
Tsumugi: Are you… really okay with driving us to the shrine?
Itaru: I’d be passing by there anyway. It’s fine.
Kumon: Are you going on a pilgrimage, Itaru-san?
Itaru: You got that right, my plan’s to go to the shopping district that appeared in an anime I’m obsessed with RN.
Itaru: There’s also some kinda retro game shop that I’m sorta interested in.
Citron: That’s just like you, Itaru!
Itaru: … Oh, right. Around what time should I come pick you up?
Izumi: Hmmm… It’s a shrine, so I don’t think we’ll stay that long…
Tsumugi: Getting the goshuin shouldn’t take us that long either.
Kumon: There’s not much to do at a shrine, so we’ll probably be done innnn 2 hours at most?
Citron: About that long should be enough! We’ll definitely be done by evening!
Itaru: Hmm, evening… I can just pick you up on my way home, then. I don’t think I’ll stay that long, either.
Kumon: Yay!
Izumi: Thank you very much, Itaru-san.
Itaru: You’re welcome.
-
Itaru: Alright, here we are.
[Phone notification blip]
Tsumugi: Ah, it’s from Tasuku.
Tasuku Takato: I’ve got a guest appearance coming up, I’m gonna borrow some of your books for a role study
Citron: We’re getting off!
Tsumugi: Okay, I’ll reply to him real quick.
Tsumugi Tsukioka: Alright. I don’t think I’ll use them any time soon, so you can keep them for a while.
Tsumugi: And that’s done.
Tsumugi: Thanks for driving us, Itaru-kun. Have fun on your pilgrimage.
Itaru: OFC. You have fun at the shrine too.
-
Kumon: So this is the shrine dedicated to the Dragon Gods…! Tsumugi-san, is this the same place that’s in the drama?
Tsumugi: Yup. I think the drama was filmed quite a few years ago, but this place is exactly the same.
Tsumugi: This shrine really is as charming as I thought it’d be.
Citron: *inhales*, *exhales*... The air in shrines is different from anywhere else!
Kumon: I think I get what you mean!
Izumi: Every time I come to a shrine, it’s like I can feel how sacred it is… Something about the air just changes.
Tsumugi: This place is kind of like a spiritual hot spot, so that might be why it feels that way.
Tsumugi: Well, shall we start with visiting the shrine?
Kumon: Ah, it looks like there’s a bunch of places we can visit!
Izumi: That’s true. Where should we start from, Tsumugi-san?
Tsumugi: Hmm… There doesn’t seem to be a set order in which we should visit the shrines…
Tsumugi: The omikuji and goshuincho are near the entrance, so let’s start from whatever is the farthest away.
Citron: Let’s do that! I can’t wait to walk all the way to the back~!
-
Tsumugi: And I think we’ve visited everything we could now.
Kumon: The shrine’s got a really nice atmosphere!
Citron: It feels like it's brought us great blessings! And now all that’s left to complete our mission is to get the goshuin.
Izumi: I think I’ll get a goshuin too. Since I brought my goshuincho with me and all…
Tsumugi: You have a goshuincho too, Director?
Izumi: Yes, I do… I made Sakyo-san pick one for me last time we went to a shrine. (1)
Kumon: Eh, Sakyo-san chose this!?
Citron: It’s so high class and lovely! The color is perfect too!
Tsumugi: Yes. And this… fabric? Is very beautiful as well.
Izumi: Right! That’s exactly why I like it so much.
Citron: Let’s go ask for goshuin right away then!
Izumi: Let’s do that. … Excuse me, we’d like a goshuin each.
Shrine maiden: Understood. I will take your goshuincho. Please take a numbered ticket and wait.
Kumon: Hey, hey, let’s go draw dragon omikuji while you wait for your turn!
Tsumugi: Ah, good idea. Now’s as good a time as any.
Izumi: There are dragons in all kinds of colors.
Citron: It’s hard to choose one when there are so many…
Kumon: I’ll… get this one! Cause our eyes met!
Citron: I will also choose a dragon I made eye contact with!
Tsumugi: Hmmm… I guess I’ll go with the Seiryuu, then. (2)
Citron: … Oh! Great Luck!
Kumon: Ah! Me too! I’m so happy, I usually get Bad Luck!
Tsumugi: Both of you? That’s amazing…
Izumi: What about you, Tsumugi-san?
Tsumugi: Mine’s Bad Luck, unfortunately…
Option 1: Y-You should be fine as long as you tie it!
Izumi: Y-You should be fine as long as you tie it!
Tsumugi: You think so…?
Izumi: I heard that if you get a Bad Luck, you should tie the omikuji in the shrine and then go home.
Tsumugi: I didn’t know that… I think that puts me a little at ease.
Izumi: Right! There are a lot of omikuji tied here, so why not tie yours too, Tsumugi-san?
Tsumugi: Good idea. I think I’ll tie it, so it’ll bring me at least a bit of good luck.
Option 2:  Do you want to try again…?
Izumi: Do you want to try again...?
Tsumugi: Is it allowed to draw more than once?
Izumi: Hmmm, I don’t think there is a rule that forbids it, but that’s a good question.
Tsumugi: What if I draw and get Bad Luck again…
Izumi: That would be a little unsettling… Best you stop here, I think.
Tsumugi: Agreed…
Tsumugi: But thank you for thinking of me, and suggesting it.
Citron: There’s no need to worry, Tsumugi! I will pass my Great Luck Power to you!
Kumon: And I’ll pass mine!
Citron: Here goes! … Great Luck Power!
Kumon: Transferrrr!!
Tsumugi: Fufu, thanks. I sorta feel like my luck has gotten better.
Izumi: So, Tsumugi-san… By Bad Luck, does that mean there were only bad things written on the fortune slip?
Tsumugi: Hmm… It says that things I lost will be returned to me after a while, so I wouldn’t say it’s all bad.
Citron: Does that happen?
Izumi: Yes. Even if your luck is bad, there are often good things or good advice written in.
Kumon: Yuppers! That’s why it’s all gonna be okay, Tsumugi-san! I always get Bad Luck, so you can take my word for it!
Tsumugi: Yeah, thanks. Since it’s you saying so, I’m sure it’ll be okay.

I got a request for Fourteen and Shaun, and I've been looking for a good excuse to write something with them!
So, there will be mentions of books and audio stories because I LOVE the extended universe stuff for Ten and Donna.
As always, I write Fourteen with they/them pronouns.
On with the fic!
--
Shaun yawned loudly as he wandered down the stairs of the UNIT home his family was temporarily staying in. Donna was already off to work at this time, Sylvia was at her own home, same with Wilf, and Rose was at school.
Leaving Shaun, who didn't work until the evening, alone at home.
Well.
Not actually alone.
Because there was an alien inside the kitchen, staring intently at the toaster, as if it was challenging them. "Is there... an issue with the toaster again?"
"It burnt my toast." The Doctor pouted. "I put the dial on the exact timing for it to be perfect! And it came out black! Also, good morning, Shaun! Did you want any tea? Donna's got everything ready, you just need to start the electric kettle when you're in the mood!"
Shaun blinked, the mood changes on this guy still took him by surprise, even after a month of living with them. "Uhh... yeah, thank you. Also, you do know that this toaster doesn't have a timer, right? It has settings for how toasted you want the bread to be."
The Doctor looked at him before looking at the toaster. "Oh!" They slapped their forehead. "Dumbo! Of course that's how it works! Explains the little bread drawings around the dial, getting darker and darker..."
Shaun laughed and shook his head, activating the kettle and moved to grab some more bread for them. Toast sounded pretty good anyway, so he'd have a few slices too. "What are your plans for the day, Doctor?"
"Hm? Oh, uhh... I dunno. I'm still trying to get used to this whole slowing down thing, it's weird to figure what to do with my day! And Donna's got the TARDIS key and the TARDIS is on her side, she won't open for me!"
The Doctor was jumping in place, clearly annoyed with the lack of activities they were used to doing.
"Well, that's just how the normal life is, Doctor. Lots of boring things and not a lot of adventures. Well, unless if you make your life an adventure." Shaun shrugged, holding out the bread to them. "Donna's still got the key?"
"Course she does, reminded me this morning."
"She's a stubborn one."
"Always has been." The Doctor smiled brightly. "Wouldn't be Donna if she wasn't! Oh man, the amount of times that stubbornness saved me."
Shaun looked at him before grabbing the kettle, pouring himself a mug of tea. "Got an example? I'm sure you've got a lot of them."
The Doctor blinked twice. "You... want to know about our adventures?"
"Sure! Donna's mentioned some things, but she never goes into details, I'm rather curious." Shaun smiled.
"Brilliant! Let's get our food and then I'll tell you some stuff!"
Once tea and coffee were prepared, and toasts perfectly toasted, the two sat at the breakfast table and the Doctor was excitedly telling Shaun about some of the adventures from their past with Donna. They explained about the time that Donna and their tenth incarnation went to the 1990s to see Donna's favorite band. And that there was an alien invasion at the time that affected the band, but Donna was able to fix it!
And then there was the time that the world was in danger due to anger killing people, and how Donna stubbornness to do the right thing overpowered her fear of needles so she could save her grandfather, which allowed her and the Doctor to realize how to solve this with good deeds. Though Shaun noted that the Doctor seemed to skip over some things, as if it was something they weren't ready to talk about. But Shaun did learn that the Doctor hates planes, which was interesting to note.
"Oh, and there was that time that Donna and I were trapped in a giant, outer space apartment complex! It was... a lot, a lot! But it was amazing! Not sure how stubborn Donna was during that, we did a lot of running around and almost got killed a billion times, but it was all solved in the end."
"You two have had some strange adventures." Shaun pointed out. "Donna mentioned the other night while we were making dinner about you two visiting a water planet and her almost drowning because the... air dome was failing? And how she was annoyed you weren't carrying your phone."
The Doctor laughed. "Did she bring it up because I forgot my phone that day and didn't noticed she called me five times?"
"Yep!"
The two of them laughed about this. "Ah, my wife is a wonderful woman, but she has a temper."
"It's part of her charm." The Doctor chuckled. "It can get on my nerves, but I'm happy that she does it cause she cares. Honestly, she knew how to put my past self in his place, because he needed it."
"Are your... different, what did you call it, regenerations, different from you?"
"Oh yes, in a sense. I mean, we're always the Doctor, but sometimes the personalities are different. Like, there was a me who was all angry eyebrows and cool guitar riffs, or the one was smiling a lot but was quick to... well... quick to cause a lot of trouble. Didn't help that my friend at the time was good with explosives. Still is. It's amazing what Ace can do. Anyway, if Donna had met them, she'd keep them from being as outlandish as they could get at times. She did for me when I first had this face."
"And she will for this face." Shaun pointed out.
"Of course, I wouldn't expect anything less." The Doctor smiled. "You know, we haven't spoken much, Shaun, but you can talk with me whenever. Doesn't even have to be about Donna! It can be about anything, except football. No offense, but while I'm decent at it, I've never really understood it. I'm more of a cricket fan, actually."
"Good to know!" Shaun nodded, picking up their plates before he stopped. "What do you know about cars?"
"Quite a lot, I used to own one and that got me interested in how they work!"
"Think you can help me fix up my cab? Was making a weird clicking sound last night before the shift ended and I want to see what's up. If you can help, that'd be great, much better than going to a mechanic."
The Doctor was grinning, pulling their sonic thingy out of their pocket. "Sounds like fun! Heck, if you want, I can upgrade it so that it saves petrol so you're not spending so much on it!" They babbled as they got up from the table, making their way for the door.
Shaun watched them, clearly excited to be doing some sort of fiddling with a device. Donna had said they enjoyed tinkering, hopefully they could fix the car and not, well... do what they did to the microwave.
"Uhhh, let's see what you do about the clicking before you do that, Doctor!" Shaun said, following him to the door.
--
I think Fourteen and Shaun would get along, Shaun seems like one of those guys that instantly becomes your friend. Plus, if he makes Donna happy, then the Doctor is happy.
I was gonna mention the Pompeii adventure, but I'm saving that for a one-shot where the Doctor goes to a museum with the Noble-Temple family.

find the word!
tagged by @lavenderstobins and def using this as an excuse not to work on a monday morning, so thank you! <3
rules: search your WIPs for the words you're given and share the extract they're from.
the words i was given are: laugh, throat, blue, care, eyebrow and friend.
laugh, from thriving in the apocalypse (working title: battle in the woods, robin gets hurt)
Robin reaches her free hand toward him. He takes it and brings it to his cheek. “I’m sor—” “Don’t you dare.” It’s barely a breath, the seriousness of it wrapped so prettily in the rasp of her voice. “You saved me, dingus. Remember?” Steve’s laugh is real this time. Robin brushes her thumb over his cheek as the tears start falling. He gulps and shakes his head again. “Stop comforting me. You’re the one bleeding out on the ground.”
throat, from the charmed au (i am human, and i need to be loved)
“No. We…” El speaks slowly, not like she’s hesitating, but like she’s unsure of how the words feel in her mouth. “Are sisters.” No, the world isn’t falling out from under her. It’s crashing down around her. Robin feels her pulse in her throat. Something is ringing in her ears. She almost loses her grip on the flashlight, the beam wavering between them all. The other two don’t seem to notice. Max shakes her head a little. “No, we’re sisters.” She gestures between herself and Robin. Annoyance has crept into her voice now. “But we don’t even know who you are.”
blue, from the nancy pov
Nancy watches the flex of her shoulders—bare with the dark blue cut-off she’s wearing today. There’s a light sheen of sweat covering her arms, the sides of her torso, the back of her neck beneath her hairline—shorter than ever in a stylish boy’s cut that’s so neat and soft it must be new. So many of her freckles are on display, even more prominent than usual after a hot summer. Nancy doesn’t realize she’s staring until Robin catches her. But all Robin does is smile at her. She wipes the sweaty hair from her face and heads back down to the truck, leaving Nancy to shake herself off and thank whatever higher power might be listening that Max and Dustin are too busy arguing about what should go on the end table to have noticed.
care, from an untitled nancy ptsd thing
Holly and Robin both just…keep drawing. She can hear arguing drifting up from the basement. She wonders what happened after the group defeated the gnolls. If they decided to rest or keep exploring. If they sat around talking about her meltdown, and how stupid it was that she stormed off, and how much it sucked that Robin had to leave them just to go take care of her. “Hey.” Robin taps her foot against Nancy’s beneath the table. When Nancy looks up, she grins. “Pass me the green?”
eyebrow, from a cfdau doc just titled 'extras and futures'
Robin tries—she tries—to be serious, but she can’t bite back her grin. Nancy narrows her eyes, amused and annoyed already, and that’s all the incentive she needs to say, “Is this actually your proposal, Wheeler? Because I know I’m pretty laid back, but I at least expected a ring or something.” “Or something?” Nancy raises an eyebrow and rises on her knees, reaching up to cup Robin’s face and tilt her head up gently. “I can work with or something.” Before Robin can come up with a response—not that she would, not with Nancy looking at her like that—Nancy leans down and kisses her, hard and hot and open. She kisses her until Robin lets out a desperate, breathless whimper, and then she pulls back, a perfect, smug little smirk on her lips.
friend, also from the untitled nancy ptsd thing
“Thanks,” she says at the end of the day, when they’re parting ways at Nancy’s front door. At Nancy’s questioning look, she smiles at her, like it’s the easiest thing in the world to do. Nancy stares at that smile, wondering yet again how she can manage it after everything. Monsters and murderers and spending the day with a girl who doesn’t even know how to hang out with a friend anymore. But she smiles anyway, and Nancy knows her well enough to know that it’s as genuine and natural as the rest of her. “I’m really glad you invited me over. We should hang out again soon, okay?” Nancy nods. She realizes she’s still staring at her smile and looks up at her eyes instead. “Okay,” she whispers.
I'm tagging @smileweakandwrong and @lesbianlotties and you, if you so wish
Your words are glass, remain, unlikely, loyal, and wrong.
