Yes, they're allowed as long as you can credit the original creators and the mod is/was publicly playable in some capacity, not just existing as a youtube video. It's okay to have the vocals as well if you'd like! I think I misunderstood the rhythm heaven case (I thought it would be the menu music that plays after you complete the song/level, not the sfx that plays DURING the song) and will clarify that accordingly.

What's the verdict on songs from games like Lego Batman? Where the music is at least partially based on (if not entirely the same as) music from films or television?

Totally fine if they're created or remixed for the video game, but I'm going to say no if they weren't originally made for the video game.

I think this is HIGHLY situational and I would probably need to know the exact song this is referring to. Overall, I'm inclined to say no, because it wasn't an original composition for the game (by the team behind the game, that is).

No, because it wasn't composed for the game itself. Appreciate you double checking though! (I'm assuming this is referring to songs that are unchanged when included in the video game and not 'xyz franchise song remixed for xyz franchise video game' sort of thing)

DINO-TRAINS || REXY THE LARGE ANIMAL CAR

“Well howdy! Welcome, to the Jurassic Yard!”

This cheerful animal car may be old, but she’s aged like a fine wine and she KNOWS it. Though her days of racing and fighting are long gone, she now works as the yard master and resident tour guide, showing new trains around the Jurassic Yard with the same enthusiasm she had since day one! Despite her friendly demeanor, this truck still packs a powerful punch in a fight and can take down an engine! The wiring on her skirt crackles with a harsh electrical charge, her legs still strong and perfect for a kick in the head, though her most deadly weapon is a fortified jaw with razor sharp teeth that can bite clean through steel beams! She’s not force to be reckoned with if you’re on her bad side, best stay on her good side, or her and her… exotic, pets may just show up on your stoop!

Rexy is a design that has existed for about two years now, and with this new line of dino trains I’m making I figured why not bring back a classic! Based on the ever iconic Tyrannosaurus Rex from the Jurassic Park/World franchise, this train is a love letter to the older designs of the trains along with the original Jurassic Park film. Her skirt and general design is meant to resemble the Jeep Wranglers seen within the original film that take the characters right up to the T.Rex enclosure. The large wired-poles attached to her belt are inspired by the electric fences around the T.Rex paddock, seen snapping by the claws of the giant. With a classic explorer hat and bright amber eyes, what’s not to love about this train! There’s also some Easter eggs in her design for those who know the film well!!!

P.S. I already have some Dino trains planned, but if there’s any dinosaurs you would like to request be turned into trains, either put them in my requests or tag me or whatever! I’ll give you a hint for the next Dino-Train: The LONGEST carnivore to ever roam the earth…

This is kinda a ramble but while I understand some people don't like romance or Sonamy in the Sonic movies, I think it's really dumb to say that the movies will be bad because of it.

Because my immediate response is: pal, have you never watched Across the Spider-Verse and the masterfully written couple, Ghostflower? Hell, Sonamy can easily have that level of development because the secret to Miles and Gwen's relationship working so well in the movies is because it's an integral part of the narrative. That's it, that's the secret. And ATSV handled the family theme and several other characters well too. Sonic can too. So yes, saying that Sonamy will ruin the 4th movie is a big fallacy. The fault is never the type of couple but how well written it is.

If this really becomes canon, I can't wait to see Sonic and Amy having a crush on each other. I'm so ready. I bet that Sonic will be HILARIOUS while trying to flirt, like, I already know that I'm gonna laugh a lot. I can't wait to see how his family will react too. Unlike some fans, I'm not worried if the writers will do Amy justice because these are Sonic The Hedgehog movie writers, for Christ's sake. They fleshed out their characters so well, even the original characters that weren't in the games.

I understand that there will be ship wars because many people ship Sonic with Shadow. It's ok to not like Sonamy if that's not your thing but if Sonamy really becomes canon I hope that Amy won't get hate for being with Sonic like Gwen is getting hate in Spiderverse fandom mostly because they ship other characters with Miles (since you've mentioned Spiderverse). And, while I don't like some things about how writers handled their relationship in Across The Spiderverse, Gwen and Miles are very much a proof that you can make a good story with a complicated romantic subplot (I mean, I was shipping them so hard that I was whining for months because they didn't become a couple in ATSV 😂). Spiderverse fandom has already pushed me away lately with how they're treating Gwen and I desperately hope that Sonic fandom won't be like that because this is my favourite fandom so far and I have a good feeling that I'll love Amy a lot. I doubt that Sonic and Amy will have such a complicated Gwiles type of a relationship with angst and all, but I think that they will be cute to watch.

Sonic movies have always been about found family and all kinds of love (romantic, platonic, parental and such). I don't see a problem with them continuing that tradition - actually, that's exactly what makes them so good and they proved that they can handle all these relationships well.

I know people are worried about the sudden change in the story if the main character gets a romantic subplot, but I think that it will be a very fun thing to see and like I said, we can trust the writers. Sonic is growing up and it's natural for him to start developing a crush. We should be thankful that they're not trying to give him a human girlfriend, like some other franchises do with non-human characters who are growing up with humans. That would be bizarre, honestly. Amy will totally be a good match for him.

Im showing my bf the bond series from beginning to end because I have like, a thing, for the gentleman spy subgenre. And far be it for me of all people, whose double major was in cinema, to judge an older film outside of the standards it was made within or claim that they dont have any place or impact within the world, but it is downright perplexing what did and didn't fly in those movies. Such as having actual black people play black characters instead of doing blackface, which was still widely used at the time, but also just doing yellowface in that same movie. Ok, listen. I know that there is so much potential for angst in the royal koopa family, and I love what people have done with them! Bowser favoring his only blood son and spurring resentment within the Koopalings. Ludwig and Junior having a rivalry- especially in regards to the throne. All the kids feel neglected because of their dad's emotional blockage and him focusing on taking over the world instead of family, etc. I truly love what people can do with all this royal drama and angst potential!! I want to write novelizations of some of your guys' adaptations of the koopalings + Junior and Bowser!!!

... but after watching the Mario movie, seeing the old Nintendo Power comics, and getting back into Mario, I caN'T HEADCANNON BOWSER BEING A BAD DAD OR THE KOOPA KIDS BEING MISERABLE WITH HIM! 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT THE SAME GUY WHO ANNOUNCED TO HIS WHOLE KOOPA ARMY THAT HE WAS GOING TO PROPOSE TO PEACH, THE SAME GUY WHO WROTE A WHOLE ASS LOVE SONG FOR THE PRINCESS, THE SAME GUY WHO PLAYED GOLF WITH MARIO, WOULDN'T SET HIS WHOLE KINGDOM ON FIRE FOR ALL OF HIS BABIES!?!?

Don't get me wrong, he definitely has anger issues, and I believe in MatPats Bowser's backstory theory. I'm certain there have been plenty of instances he messed up as a dad. And having a bunch of kids, sometimes some of them slip his attention- at least the first year or so when he first had them and was learning how to Dad. But I'm telling ya'll, if my Bowser ever heard any one of his kids, from his eldest Ludwig or his only darling daughter Wendy or his baby son Junior, were feeling any sort of bad, he'd be like "Oh Hell no!" And take that child out one-on-one and give them lots of love, lots of assurance, and set fire to any fool who tried to tell him that they aren't really his kid.

One time, Bowser got so mad and roared within Lemmy's presence and made the baby boy cry. To this day, after he's long made up for it, Bowser still feels so guilty and heartbroken that he did that and has vowed himself to never let himself get that angry around his kids again... Unless when it came to Mario because they know in that instance, his fury isn't directed at them.

THIS IS THE SAME GUY WHO, EVEN THOUGH BOWSER JUNIOR DISOBEYED THE SCREEN TIME ALERT IN THAT NINTENDO SWITCH PARENTAL CONTROLS VIDEO, HE HESITATED TO SHUT OFF THE CONSOLE BECAUSE HE DIDN'T WANT HIS SON DEVASTATED!!! And- And we see in Bowsers head, he imagined Junior to be sad and heartbroken! Junior is still a baby, and he's a little spoiled, so more than likely, he would have thrown a tantrum if Bowser had switched the console off. But BOWSER DIDN'T HESITATE NOT BECAUSE OF THE HEADACHE A TANTRUM WOULD CAUSE, BUT BECAUSE HE DIDN'T WANT TO BREAK HIS SONS HEART! I CAN'T EVEN 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I'll take it this far; you guys wanna know what my headcannon on who is Bowsers' successor? Well, in my headcannon, when he adopted the koopalings and had Junior, he knew it was going to be an issue. And he loved ALL of his kids so much, he didn't want to have to choose between any of them! The rest would hate him and the chosen one! All of his babies would start fighting! So what is a koopa king to do? 🤔🤔🤔 well, as we see in Super Mario Wii and in Super Mario Bros 3, he lets his kids run the world's he takes over! They all have their individual world/kingdom to rule!!! He makes sure that A L L of his kids get to be kings and a queen! Until Mario ruins it all saves the day. If Bowser had his way, the whole world would really be family run instead of just Bowser run.

Again, I must emphasize how much I absolutely ADORE everyone else's depictions of the royal koopa family. One of my favorites is Tyrranux's dark Mario AU that I found on Deviantart years ago, and one of my favorite blogs for the koopalings asktehkoopz shows a much-more-wholesome-but-still-angsty depiction of the family. This post is not AT ALL intended to bring you guys down! This post is to show you guys how weak I am compared to you. I love angst and dark themes, but... I CAN'T do it with the koopa family! They are wholesome and loving while attempting to take over the world in my headcannon 🥺🥺🥺🥺

So, tldr; in my headcannon, outside of invading kingdoms and kidnapping princesses every other week, Bowser is a loving, emotional, a bit goofy, not so great at disciplining his kids unless it's really bad like when Bowser Jr. Turned him into a monster in Bowsers Fury, dad who would blow up his whole kingdom if any of his kids got hurt.

maverick and ethan hunt are just truly. two of the characters of all time. and it’s entirely to tom’s credit he always adds to much to whatever’s written for his characters but with those two he just unlocks something completely beyond

pet peeve is when a story tells us something is aberrant, but it seems to matter more about who does the behavior than the behavior itself. rorschach in snyder's watchmen isn't going too far; we watch nite owl and silk spectre ii snap necks and arms with gleeful, loving abandon, in slow motion no less, while they lecture the audience about rorschach's violence. heroes frequently torture the plot contrivance out of a villain and then moralize to the camera when the villains do the same. indominus rex's killing spree doesn't shock or appall me; all the jurassic world dinosaurs act like mindless killing machines, and the camera lingers, rapturous, on their cruelty. it's not an outlier. there's nothing interesting about it beyond as a set piece.

in a better script, the indominus rex would have had pathos; a chimera made for entertainment, for profit, stitched together with no regard for itself and placed in a lonely box. a freak among freaks. of course it would be mad. but the film wasn't interested in it as an animal, or a character, only as a moving piece of scenery for people to scream at or breathe tensely while it can clearly smell and reach them but doesn't, because it isn't a character and doesn't have motivations.

it's just sort of boring, i suppose. it tries like all other empty drab things do to cover it with bombast and roaring and soaring brassy scores but it's just sort of dull. a sprawl of nothing.

conversely peele's nope is a transcendent monster movie, imo, because it thinks about the the whys and hows, how jean jacket perceives the world, how the world perceives her, and lets that shape the narrative as much as jupe or emerald or gordy. they consulted biologists and behaviorists, digging into the meat of it. the creature as a camera as an animal as a device. nope has layers. it takes its own insane premise seriously, and has something to say, and is a goddamn good movie. i forgot where i was going with this.

The problem with critics judging every Trolls movie is that they're always like "this is a silly movie but more silly than a movie" and yes it is I agree that's literally the whole point of Trolls movies they are serious when needed but in general they're musicals about colourful little trolls I think that says enough they're not bad not at all but they're made for a specific type of audience you either love it more than anything or you hate it more than anything there's nothing in between
