I SAW YOUR POST ABOUT THE PSYCHOPOMP HELMET AND I HAVE TO ASK HOWāD YOU MAKE IT??
i wanted to cosplay her at some point in the future but iāve never tried my hand at prop making or anything of that matter really so i canāt wrap my head around any like basic concepts to make the psychopomp itself šš
sorry for taking abit to answer, wanted to make sure I was at my PC to answer so I can give Exact Images n stuff of what I got/used
warning: you're gonna need some serious power tools for this. alotta bits I had to get help from my dad bc he has SO MANY hobbies that involve power tools lol
SO
For the base:
you need a good helmet. n finding one of those ain't easy, so you're probs gonna haveta Make Do with something you can cut parts off of.
I used something like this, but cut off the parts that jut out at the ears and the lip at the front. The internal bit that keeps your Actual Head from touching the Actual Helmet is VERY helpful bc (atleast w/ mine) it wasnt a layer of foam or anything that'd be finnicky, it was just straps.
theoretically could also use a cheap-y baseball helmet though obvi you still gotta Mutilate it
For the accessoriesā¢:
The antannae are actual extendable radio antannae I harvested from an old boombox n another thing, but you can buy JUST the antannae online
the megaphone/satellite dish bit my dad helped me cut n gut a car alarm type thing and attatch it w/ this silicone stuff he had on hand
And the headphone pieces on the sides are a set of vintage radio headphones I found at a thrift store. these to be exact (they're not v rare n go for 10-30 bucks on ebay)
Though any old, chunky headphones could easily work. These were just what I had on hand. And, as a useful thing, the metal prongs connecting to the headband were perfect to easily bolt in place on the helmet and keep them flexible for easy putting on and taking off. The little radio speaker-y bits on the outside I added my dad had laying around though obvi not 1000% Necessary
And that's all really for the easily bought supplies
The front plate is Literally just a chunk of sheet metal he happened to have on hand, and added the bolts to. The fifth bolt in the middle is the only Functional one that actually attatches to the helmet
And the bit keeping the wires in place is a piece of plastic we melted to shape, painted accordingly, then hot glued in place. Added the screws to make it look abit more Cohesive with the rest of it.
The staples specifically on mine are holes drilled then w/ v thin wire fed through and twisted and trimmed.
Some smaller seams n details I added with super glue since it gave a v subtle raised effect, and bc it cracked in shipping I had to super glue some of the cracks back together Anyways lmao
also had to do alot of spraypainting to get it the right color. Make sure to paint the "accessories" seperate before assembly bc trying to tape off everything could end up Annoying and that way the metal bolts and the plate can retain their orig metal color to add contrast.
Also make sure you get Matte paint, bc it'll look goofy shiny. Preferably something meant for outdoor use bc those will have the more gritty textures you're looking for n its easy to find.
For any extra scuffing n details I did some dry brushing w/ grey and black acrylic to add depth. Best way to do it imo is add some drybrush with a scrappy old paintbrush then wipe away some with a paper towel
or just use a paper towel with a v tiny, thinly spread bit of paint
Hopefully this helps atleast some!! If you need more detailed shots of my helmet for better reference just lemme know, I just dont feel like going to grab her rn for a photo shoot lmao
Good luck w/ your helmet!! n be sure to post it lots when you're done!!
It'll be sick as hell to see how your interpretation turns out!
just be careful bout wearing it too long
start seeing things you're not supposed to
knowing things you're not supposed to

bro i'm so fuckin sad, shadows of the damned and lollipop chainsaw are getting remasters and they're both getting collectors editions but for some ungodly reason the SOTD one was only given 1k preorder limits whereas the lollipop chainsaw one has no limits :( i was only 5 days late to finding out about the collectors edition preorder and it's already sold out and being price gouged on ebay ššš i've loved these games since their releases and they opened me up to the world of suda 51 games where i also got their other collectors editions that they offered and it's real upsetting that i can't get the collectors edition for my fav game of his library due to artificial scarcity :( it sucks even more cuz the SOTD one has suda's signature in it too and LC doesntš i'm still gonna get the LC one as i loved that game too but i would have easily made both my bday present to justify the splurge since ik they wont print anymore of these since they're so niche š©š
At least i get to put lollipop chainsaw in my collection but man, knowing i was just a few days late rly does hurt extra, esp since the preorder time limit is a month long. I truly dont understand the artificial scarcity of 1 but letting ppl buy as many as they want of the other š« especially with how abundant price gougers are these days.... how do u "run out" of preorders!!!!

A couple weeks ago I decided to search for SxF acrylic stands. I was only planning to buy one or two...but the next thing I know, I bought too many š³
I am an absolute sucker for the Forgers in cute outfits! š
(I was not prepared for how big this set was! It even came with a background!)
And last minute I threw in this little Anya & Yor one because it was only 500 yen and so cute ā¤
The below two I got from Ebay (all the others are from Mercari), and I'm pretty sure they're bootleg. I decided to get them anyway because I like the designs and couldn't find any official equivalents, plus they were really cheap.
Despite not being official, they're actually really nice. They're double sided, and the quality isn't bad either.
I suppose I can justify my spending by saying that 1) I got a decent amount back on my tax return, 2) I got a bonus and raise at work recently, and 3) my birthday was on Sunday! Guess I'll be busy this weekend rearranging my display case, lol. But I'm gonna try not to buy anymore acrylic stands for a while, at least not until season 2 and the movie come out! I need to stay away from Mercari especially...that place is a black hole for my money! ļæ½ļæ½

G3 releases are literally the worst, not even the fact that the Signature dolls were released one month before Monster High actually came back or whatever is the intentional release schedule but how we got the Second Wave of Signature dolls...
You're telling me that not only they released months before their scheduled release but that they released online at like two in the morning and then sold out?
Like, okay, I got Amped Up Frankie which is out of stock everywhere but I got them cuz I'm a crazy homosexual obsessed with Frankie. I was checking out listings for them daily. There are dedicated parents, sure, but who besides the weird gays obsessed with these dolls are gonna buy them...? Even less when we either found out about the dolls months before and we forget about them or we find out a day and a half before they get on sale and they get out of stock.
dude i didnt even realize the 2nd core dolls were OUT already what šš i swear you have to be constantly on the pulse to even have a chance of getting a g3, or god forbid a skullector, before theyre being resold on ebay for $30+ profits

Bts hyyh merch guide (pt 1)
I'm going to make a merch guide to each of the eras to help people collect but I figured i'd start with hyyh since it was one of my favorites āā©ā§āĖą±Øą§Ėāā©ā§ā
The obvious (albums):
There's a light blue and light pink for pt 1 and dark blue with dark pink for pt2 which im sure we all know by now but there was also a limited Taiwan edition!
As of right now these are kind of hard to find; but without pc only cost ~$30. Outside of the photocard/postcard the only real difference of these is the inclusion of the lyrics in chinese plus more cds. These were released only for pt 1 in both the white/pink versions!
The photocards are going to COST YOU though, with a general range of $150-200
There also was 2 Japan kayo nekka versions that had a inclusion of a dvd too. On the dvd was just the run mv plus a photo gallery. PLEASE do not buy the listings of people selling the cd alone with no photocard for around 100, if you look harder on ebay theres many for closer to 40 or 50!!
these photocard prices are even worse than the last, normally being 200 to 400 from what ive seen. at least youll have a easier time finding listings for these (ā¬ā¬ļ¹ā¬ā¬)
DVDS:
The first dvd for hyyh was in 2015 and was released on 160223, this one only covers the Seoul concerts (which were the first 3). The first 2 dvds show the last day of the in Seoul concert, and the last one has 5 performances in Japan, VCR making film, prologue, rehearsals, practice making films and concert making films. The 2nd dvd also includes a VCR interview and talk about hyyh. All in all this is 346 minutes long :) If your lucky you can get this for $100 no pc but I would count on it being 200-370. The pc normally is around 100 too š
2016 live on stage epilogue dvd - This included of course film of the concert but also the poster and bridge shoot, md shooting film, concert practice and concert making film. you can find links to watch it for free with english subs here!
This dvd will cost around 170-200 and most (thankfully) have pc included. The pc alone will probablyyyy cost you around 60 even though ive seen ones way lower (you have to just look hard).
Theres also a blue ray version for around 95-160 (originally sold for $53.78) This one I THINK has the same stuff on it but its only in 2 dvds. I really cant tell if the postcards were a pre order benefit or not plus if it came as a set or random. Theres barely any listings for these but they only go for like $30 each (its like a breath of fresh air typing a price that low)
2016 BTS LIVE Kayo Nenka on stage epilogue Japan Edition Deluxe Edition DVD - this was released on January 18, 2017 so you should notttt be spending anywhere near as much (id guess 60-90?) This comes with 2 discs, the limited edition has a 132 page photobook and has bluray plus dvd but the regular just has the bluray no photobook. There is also a regular version with just dvd. These ones are the regular:
The regular is really hard to find nowadays but I think the general price range is 50-80??
Concert merch:
This hoodie only came in one size, Im not too sure the price of the zip up but the normal hoodie for the epilogue was $30.42 so we can assume it was about the same. nowadays expect to pay 200-600 for it LMAO
The shirt came in medium and large, i cant find any pricing info or current listings for this but i would assume it would be in the hundreds. The problem is theres so many unofficial shirts with this pattern being sold so it drowns out all the official listings. you MIGHT have luck getting this on some old instagram or tumblr account though!
one size beanie- current cost is around $200 but older accounts on twitter or tumblr sell for $45. yall im gonna be honest I cant find the post for the 2015 tour merch for the LIFE of me so im not going to know any original prices
bandana 600x600- GOOD LUCK BUYING THIS THING only place i can find listings is carousell which were all really cheap (~$15) but then again they are old listings.
I cannot find these damn socks ANYYYYWHERE on the face of the internet. your guess is as good as mine chat
pickets- very few listings of these out here but they are only like $70! (crazy if you remember people sell love yourself ones for 50 and 60) BUT you can 100% find listings for way lower (around 20 or 30) they are just rare
program book- these are only 40-60
this is going to be more like $200 for a set of just one members, its way easier to find the 2016 ones
photo set- there was multiple sets of these (not sure how many IM SORRY) ; one goes for about 100
I reached the max for pictures on here so go to pt 2!! i hope this guide helps you guys āø(ļ½”Ė įµ Ė )āøā”

My MonHun plush wishlist! Itās almost filled up, just need to preorder Legiana and White Fatalis, and the rest are a couple bucks or up on ebay below $30! (Except Gudetama Yian Kut Kuā¦, i think iāll order them through a proxy)
Deviljho and Yian Garuga are gonna be the hardest to find, ESPECIALLY for a decent price. I still want them though, and hoping capcom brings them back to the mainline games so i can get their plushies in my collection š
I do have the regular Khezu plush, but heās a travel buddy and i like taking him everywhere. I just wanna buy another one for my display collection. Heās not instock though :( Khezu always gets a reprint at the end of the year so I can always wait lol

I decided to keep my Jonas Brothers Build-a-Bear bc of you instead of donating it somewhere. Thanks for helping me hold on to precious childhood memories.
I'M SO GLAD BESTIE! š„°
I didn't even know there was a JB Build-a-Bear
I want oneeeee
Might buy one off Ebay tbfh
I only had one Build-a-Bear
She was a rabbit I named Bunny McSpears
I dressed her like Britney, her namesake
She even had a headset mic
And then Josh tore all the stuffing out of her and I cried and had no idea we could take her back to get restuffed
I hid the evidence from my parents because I was scared my mom was gonna be mad š

Yes all this. Iād like to just add my experiences as someone whoās into that neither has the money nor the āideal bodyā for it.
Seriously, take this advice. When i was younger i did not know about all the bs, awful quality ādressesā on shit sites like milanoo and the like. I would buy them and never be satisfied with the look or the shape and would only be able to wear them once or twice. It was a waste of money. I wish i had pictures of some of them bc they were dreadfulš. When i say ādonāt buy on ebay or wish or anythingā I really am not putting anyone down. I get it, you want the look but itās out of your price range and those seem like viable options. But let me tell you, what is in that picture is not what you will get. I recommend always looking at the reviews with pictures. Does it look weird on the person? Is it overly wrinkled? Is it actually constructed the same as the picture? Look closely and you will see the dress in the pics and the dress people get is entirely different and made with different materials. Usually really cheap polyester. Some people (smaller folks, sorry) can make that work for them but if ur bigger, just donāt waste your time.
I would not personally buy a dress for less than like $60-80 on a resell site. My ccat rainbow dollhouse was like $40 on sale lol. The other was like $110 (i did it for the colorš). Just be very careful out there bc Iāve also just gotten completely scammed (thankfully i was given a refund but i would have been out $116!).
I definitely can vouch for 42lolita. I buy my tops and bloomers from them. Just make sure if ur a bigger girl, to be careful cuz i have some stuff I cant fit (gonna have to taylor it).
Lacemarket has been my go to. People are super kind and accommodating. If you need a payment plan, just ask. No harm in doing that, the most they can do is say no. Iāve bought most of my stuff from there. I got my dream dreas, AP Little House (in blue!!!!!!) from there for $310. The sellers let me do a payment plan of $100 bi weekly. Iām definitely not saying everyone has to do that tho. But it can be a real help if you are looking at a brand dress thatās high to be able to work out a payment plan. The thing i like about lace market is that you are talking to a fellow lolita. Theyāre gonna understand what youāre talking about if you have questions and most people love to answer them even if you arenāt buying (but u probably should be buying if ur gonna ask alot haha).
Also, you can kind of get away with buying some decent shoes or jewelry on aliexpress. I have two pairs of nice shoes from there. Obviously, look at the reviews and never buy from someone with 0 reviews (and I personally donāt buy from anyone with a low number of reviews or no picture reviews).
(I swear i have more dresses lol i just never take pics).
These two pics are of my ccats. Both pics have shoes from aliexpress. The bonnet is from lacemarket (itās so niceā¦omgā¦). The petticoat is from a website called vintage fashion (Iām going to get another bc i want a different shape) and the bloomers are fromā¦either 42lolita or devilinspired (uhm, this place can be iffy, i only buy tops and a few accessoriesā¦use caution here). Both these looks were bought over the course of months to years. Donāt rush your wardrobe, man. Itās gonna take a long time. Iāve been buying for 2 years and only have 7-8 dresses and one skirt lol. I just have alot of tops to mix and match. Well, Iām rambling hereās my list of really cool places thatās good for all my lolitas on a budget but still want to be the doll that they are:
42lolita
Lacemarket
Onigeishi shop (idk how to spell it)
Melikestea
Lolitawardrobe
Etsy (accessories, some independent makers sell thru etsy)
Aliexpress (for shoes and accessories)
Theres more but i am blanking right now lol.
My friend is getting some crap on instagram about perceived classism in the lolita community, and as someone who runs a budget-focused lolita fashion blog, I'm going to rehash some of the old "but I can't afford burando!" conversation.
For some background reading, here's where I bought three "lolita" "dresses" off ebay, and what I actually received for my money. And here's a breakdown of one of those specifically. I'm linking to these because I want everyone to remember that the pictures on ebay, amazon, wish, etc do not represent what the actual piece you receive will look like.
Lolita fashion can be expensive, but the less expensive end of legitimate lolita fashion is not actually as expensive as many people think it is. It's not all $300 for a dress and $60 for a pair of socks. There are options that bring the price down to other fashions. It cannot compete with the hyper-fast fashion of Shein and H&M and other places where the clothing is designed to be disposable. This is because lolita clothing is not disposable. Even modified or damaged, lolita fashion pieces have resell value. It's very common for people to be wearing garments that are over ten years old. There's also a lot of documentation about how hyper-fast fashion is damaging to the environments where it's made and the people who made it.
Okay, so that's all very fine and well, but it's true that recognizing that something is worth the money doesn't actually get you the money to buy it. There's a lot of things that I recognize are worth the money it costs to buy them, but that I don't have the money for. I don't drive a high-end electric car, even though I think it would be a better choice for me, because I don't have the money for a high-end electric car. So I do, very distinctly, understand that. I'm not about to tell someone "just save up for it!"
But, when someone tells you that you cannot buy lolita fashion on wish dot com, they're not actually saying "you won't be accepted in a wish dot com dress." They're saying, "any money you spend on a wish dot com dress will be wasted, because you will not receive a usable garment." Let's play pretend for a second. You come up to me with $20 and say, "I'd like to buy clothes." I say, "Good. I'll sell you some clothes." I then take your $20 bill, rip it into small pieces, eat all of the pieces, and say, "that's your clothes." Now, you didn't actually get any clothes from that, and there's no way you're getting your $20 back because I have consumed it. Your friend comes up to me and says, "Hi, I'd like to buy clothes." You say, "Don't give her that $20! It will be a waste of money!" Your friend says, "That's classism, because I only have $20." That's the conversation that's happening right now on my friend's instagram.
Classism does exist in the lolita fashion community. It can even come from people with good intentions. But, when it comes to buying on Ebay and Amazon and Walmart.com, people who are saying, "you can't buy lolita fashion on walmart dot com," aren't saying, "we won't accept your walmart dot com dress, because it was cheap." What they're saying is, "the thing that the site is telling you that you're buying and the thing that you will receive are going to be two different things. The thing you will receive will barely be a garment." There's a reason why, when I say "lolita dress from ebay," I have to typeset it as "'lolita' 'dress' from ebay," because it will probably be neither lolita nor a dress.
If you're new to the fashion and want a good shopping resource, 42lolita is a reseller/shopping service that will tell you what the shipping will be up front. Many other resellers will send you the shipping costs after you make the purchase, which makes it harder to predict what you'll be paying. You won't be getting a dress for $20 on 42lolita or anywhere else, but the prices they charge are more in line with shopping at a department store, rather than shopping at a big name designer store. There's a lot of other ways to purchase lolita fashion, and I just used 42lolita as one example.
The number of people who genuinely want the fashion to be as expensive as possible is not all that big. Even people who occasionally buy a $300 dress enjoy finding inexpensive accessories and support pieces. Finding lolita-usable jewelry on the Walmart clearance rack is a thing that's exciting to most people in the fashion. If there was a secret to buying $20 dresses on ebay and getting something that could be used in the fashion, people in the fashion would absolutely already be doing that.
So anyway, yeah, there's classism in the lolita community, but telling someone that they should not give me $20 for clothes when experience shows that I'm just going to rip it up and eat is not classism. Friends don't let friends spend money on badly made replicas on aliexpress.
#lolita fashion#hope this rant helpsā¦someone#i have alot more to say abt buying on sketchy sites butā¦yeah

Im so annoyed bro I was gonna buy a CD of 1989 deluxe because of anticipated disappointments, and then the listing I had saved on eBay for 1989 jumped from $20 to $30 with the TV announcement, and both discs are sold out at my local record store šššš
I just know that CD is gonna get more expensive as it gets closer to October 27th and I need to own it before she releases TV. I canāt stream it because I use Amazon music and for some reason, they change the audio on the original versions to be Taylorās version, so yknow š„²
yeah they'll probably only rise in price, that's sucks im sorry

My Suffering.
I am sitting at my desk, looking over āselling feesā on eBay bc Iām trying to sell some of my K-POP collection.
Iām rolling my eyes bc why tfā is there selling fees? I created a separate insta account for selling Kpop, and I posted it on Twitter. Iām never gonna get rid of my collection.
eBay collects a percentage of what you sell, and I already forgot why I couldnāt do it on Mercari either.
I just want someone to buy this album.
I Donāt want to put them away in a box bc then theyāll get damaged and their value will go down.
My head hurts. Why does does this have to be difficult? Itās already been a week? A week and a half?? Can someone just please by The YMMD - SVT album from me, comes with Jeonghan, Mingyu, Vernon and Jun! (: oh AND THE STICKER!!!! ššš

may be getting close to the photo limit but yeah, here we go:
(so im gonna go chronological in the order i bought these)
so my first ipod was my fourth gen shuffle (left), which i got in store in 2014 or 2015. my mom bought it for me and i was actually very disappointed because i really wanted a 7th gen nano, but they were 200 bucks or something so that wasnāt happening. but i ended up using this thing religiously through middle school and into freshman year. iād load it with podcasts and listen to it on the bus. shuffles r really great and i love that they donāt have a screen, i think theyāre very cute :-)
then i got the fourth gen nano (right) off ebay refurbished in 2018 or so. my dad bought it for me because i really wanted to āupgradeā from the shuffle. unfortunately the thing got the spotā¢ļø like two months after i got it (these nanos are so thin that when the battery swells with age it pushes against the screen! very unsafe, definitely a fire hazard), so i went back to the shuffle. lucky me though up that i found the nano earlier this year under a pile of junk
so this is my classic 5th gen (30GB thin model)!! i bought him myself in summer of 2023 and i love him so much :D usually i have him in a hard plastic case but i replaced the battery a couple days ago so heās free at the moment. my favorite favorite thing about him is the engraving
ITS SO CUTE š HE WAS AN ANNIVERSARY GIFT!! the misspelling of wife šš the āLove, meā (why didnāt you just put your name?!?) itās all fantastic. silly and interesting engravings are my favorite and this is the funniest engraving ive ever seen imo so i think i definitely lucked out on him.
NEXT ARE MY MINIS!!! I also bought these on ebay, but I got these in august and september of this year respectively. the pink mini is a 4GB 2nd gen and the green one is a 4GB 1st gen. thereās no major differences between mini generations besides some minor cosmetic things and an improvement in battery life
these two have names! the pink one is named shirley and the green one is named cricket :-) i imagine they r fashionista besties
shirley needs a new battery (her battery life only lasts 20min :( ) but she does have music on her from the original owner. I bought cricket refurbished (new batt and hard drive). cricket is very interesting because they are actually produced in korea, which is why I bought them. not exactly sure how rare of a find korean ipods are here in the states
^ see the different labels :D very very cool!!!
ok so these are two black 5th gens (30GB models again), the right one is a 5.5 gen tho so it has a search bar. so I bought these in september because i recently started an ipod ebay page myself, mostly so i have an excuse to buy and repair them. unfortunately i am unemployed atm so I canāt keep everything i get, and i want the ipods i sell to go to loving homes. itās not about the money at all for me. ANYWAYS i flash modded these two with iflash solo and 256GB samsung SD cards (plus they got new batteries and screen replacements). i need to test the battery life on them and then i will list them and eventually send them to their new homes </3 i actually have a third black 5th gen in my drawer rn but bro was having motherboard problems so Iāll have to deal with that eventually :/
THIRD GEN CLASSICS R SO PRETTY THEY ARE MY FAV IPODS AESTHETICALLY I THINK!! I actually have three of these but two r open rn so im going to show you the nice semifunctional one. this is suzy (didnāt come up with that, thatās just the name in it), and she is lowkey haunted because when I was testing the drive she made the most unholy loud noise and idk where that noise came from because ipods donāt have speakers!?!?! anyway sheās a 20GB model (all my 3rd gens I have are), and she still has music on her (and old recorded spiritual radio shows from the 2000s!), i would love to look through her properly to see whatās on here but sheās unfortunately mac formatted and I donāt have a mac. she also needs a battery replacement which ill do eventually. im saving my third gens for last with the repairs because they r pretty finicky
I LOVE THE LIGHT UP BUTTONS AND THE BACKLIGHT!!!!
ok so technically I ALSO have 17 4th gens sitting on my floor in a box but I will not show you them right now because it will take much too long and iāll probably go past the photo limit. i bought some batteries recently so I will be working on some of them next for repairs :-) i am going to keep three of them but the rest will go up on eBay but probably not for months and months
omfg i havenāt used this blog in like eight or nine months because im scared for some reason oh geez
uh anyways. objectum ppl, do yāall like ipods? I know we all love computers obviously but what do you guys think of smaller electronics. because personally i love a single-use electronic and I especially love mp3 players :-) they r all my little besties and i am like their surgeon who takes them apart and gives them organ transplants (new batteries)
im rlly bored rn so im gonna post my ipod collection. Iāll have to go take pictures tho it might take a while LMAO

Still thinking about the old man I saw at the thrift store talking to someone on a video call about some "action figures that are probably worth alot" he found and was gonna buy and resell on ebay...

omg angie is it true that the sanrio gyaru stuff is gonna be jpn only cause I want at least the plushes & hairclips sooooo bad š especially kitty & cinnamon.....theyre my faves ^_^
It's only available in the jpn webshop not the international one BUT!!!! i found some people reselling stuff on ebay and some other websites, just google "sanrio tokimeki heisei kogal buy" and you'll find them! It's a bit pricier than the original prices though ššššš
