Second Best - Jungkook (part 5)
Summary: Being friends with someone who has your heart it’s already hard, let alone when that special someone ends up falling in love with your best friend, the one you think would never make anything to hurt you . Will you be able to ignore it and move on? what will happen when everything gets too much for you to handle?
Genre: Friends to lovers; angst; body insecurities; bullying; friend betrayel;
Pairing: Jungkook x female!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jungkook’s feeling down lately.
After leaving Sewoon in the club, he hopped on his motorcycle and started driving until he reached his own home. Opening the front door he looked around and was emerged by this void feelling. He didn't know what was going on and why he felt the way he did. It wasn't a normal reaction of his. His night even went okay, he was having fun with his friends and kissed the girl he was in love with. How come everything turned out to this shitty.
Then he remembered Y/n, the way she spoke with him before leaving. Did he say something he wasn't supposed to? Was she mad because of the guy she was sad for? He picked up his phone and called her, not once, not twice but four times. In any of those tries did she pick up.
“Hey Y/n. Just wanted to let you know I’m home and safe. I’m sorry the way things went out tonight, it was a very confusing night. Are we good? We never fought before and I'm lost here. I just-- I want you to know I care about you Y/n, a lot. Never forget that”
Five minutes later:
“Please call or text me when you get the chance so I know you are okay and we can talk about it”
"Don't leave me in the dark Y/n. I'm beggin you. Talk to me or else I'll lose it"
Nothing. After millions of calls and text the response was not what he was expecting and it was driving him insane. Breathing heavily he sent one last text
---------------------------------------
Sitting down on his couch waiting for a call or reply from you was being a nightmare. It's been an hour and he got nothing from you. He fucked up bad. "Shit”. Then his phone started ringing and he answered it so quickly he didn't have time to see who it was, almost dropping it midway.
“Hello?”
“Hi Jk.” Sewoon replied on the other side. “Did you get home already? I wanna apologize for the way I spoke earlier about Y/n. You’re right, I shouldn’t have take it so easily and said those things. Were you able to talk to her after?”
“Ahhh Sewoon. No I didnt. She's probably asleep. I’m sure she’s alright.” Jungkook said nervously. “she better be. She’s not home either. I went there and no response” Sewoon said and Jungkook mind stopped working. What does she mean she's not home either? Did she really went out with some guy? She was never the one to behave like this. Only if she was --
“Jk are you listening to me? Can I come over to yours? Leaving Y/n aside for a bit, I thought we could have some fun I saw how stressed you were before. I want to help you shake it off a little, like old times”
Jungkook could only laugh to himself thinking how crazy he was when he said “I’m sorry Sewoon, not today. I’m tired and wanna get some rest okay? I'm sorry. If you get any info on Y/n, please tell me yeah? Just to be sure she really is okay. Sleep thigh"
Dropping his phone next to him, he turned the tv off, went to his bedroom, laid down and tried to find a way to sleep
-----
Y/n called her manager the next morning asking for some days off, caliming she was having some personal issues and needed some time to fix them. The manager put no restraining to that, giving her a week off since she never missed work and was a great employee. She knew that too damn well.  She spent her life that goddamn coffee shop trying to earn every penny she could .
After drinking with Lisa and clean the mess they made she tried to get some sleep. Everytime she was about to close her eyes her phone screen would light up. She would look at it. Another notification from Jungkook and one in particular from Sewoon saying “you better had some fun tonight bitch because you leaving the club with someone else ruined my night. Jungkook lost his mind thinking you were in trouble. Call me up".
Y/n couldn’t help but sigh. Was her best friend always so self centered? How come she never noticed it? She turned her phone off and rolled over, finally being able to get some rest until she wakes up with a loud bang on the door and Lisa walking in full of excitement.
“Good morning lady. Did you pack your stuff already? Pack warm things, a book or two, some pair of boots and lots of socks. We’re going to the snow. Oh and our flight is in about 5 hours. Hurry up”
You didn’t know if you wanted to kill Lisa or thank her for being such a light in the middle of the storm going in your head and your heart. The next few hours were a rush. Between preparing things, buying others, organizing documents and being ready in time to go to the airport and checking in. In all this time, Y/n hasn't responded to either Sewoon or Jungkook. It was better this way. It was too much on her plate. A burden she had no need to carry.
After all the stress to get there on time they finally managed to sit down in their seats and recover from all the rush. Y/n wasn't definitely used to all of this. After a bit of silence she turned to Lisa and said
"Jungkook called and texted me several times last night. And Sewoon too. It made me question the context of her text."
“what do you mean?” Lisa questioned.
"Basically she blamed me for ruinning her night with Jungkook after I left the club." Y/n retorded. Lisa opened her mouth but then closed it. Y/n wishes she had said what she was going to say, but instead she questioned "Did you answered any of them?" Y/n shakes her head "Good. These days we will have our phones turned off. No Jungkook, no Sewoon and no worries. Let's just have fun and create some badass memories. Deal?”
Y/n has to make sure that after all this mess gets better, to thank Lisa for everything she's been doing for her. Not that she hasn't already. She's so glad she came back into her life at a time like this. It made her compare Lisa to Sewoon. Where was Sewoon in the most difficult moments of your life?
"Deal"
A bit of sadness hits Y/n. She holds Lisa's hand and mouths "thank you" squeezing it tightly. You are going to get through this, like you managed before but this time with someone who truly cares and you couldn't be more relieved by it

there is literally no one else i think would do this idea as good as you (i do understand completely if you don’t want to tho this is zero pressure) but what about one of the marauders or a combo or anything you want with them with someone who’s been feeling super down and lonely and is just spiralling back into really bad old habits like not eating well and like seeking like self sabotage or something, i just think you write them being sweet and kind so so well and i need them so bad but only ur version tho <333
again I get if you don’t want to at all my lovely
thank you for requesting and being so sweet, angel !!! i chose to go with remus and this is a bit self indulgent (cried when writing it haha) but i hope it makes you feel good <333333
remus lupin x fem!reader, hurt/comfort
cw; mentions of not eating and sleeping properly, reader feels lonely, tiny bits of fluff and angst, lots of kisses from remus
october drags you behind its back as it slowly comes to an end.
you think you've been doing well with the pressure of things lately, handled it good, you've been strong. you didn't let things upset you much, you found nice things to focus, you smiled, you kept going.
the bubble bursts on a late evening, there's nothing you can do to fix it.
suddenly all of the texts you get from your friends feel shallow and meaningless. the food only works to keep you on your feet, you don't get any pleasure from eating. sleep doesn't last long, you crave it like air during the day, but there's not enough time. your smiles don't feel real. you linger in places, trying to keep your steps steady. you think you'll collapse, the thought scares you to your bones.
"hey." remus whispers, shaking his fingers in front of your eyes. you haven't been listening. "are you okay?"
his voice is coming under the water. your head feels like a heavy balloon, but you give a slow smile to your boyfriend. "sorry, i'm a bit distracted. can you tell me again?"
remus smiles back, pieces of doubt and worry creeping in his eyes. he wraps an arm around you, it's a rare night that he gets to hold you like this on the couch. he wants to make the best of it.
"it's okay, i was just rambling." he offers gently. "can i get a kiss?"
you nod, snuggling to his chest so that you can reach his lips. remus's lips feel good always, but tonight it's something more. he kisses with all his heart, emotions dripping, he likes sweet and slow. his fingers rub the back of your head, you get closer. your eyes burn with tears.
you look upset. remus knows it's not about him, you just need somewhere to empty your mind.
you keep kissing remus. it's good, he massages the tightness of your neck. it's better than breathing, you close your eyes. your head gets lighter as the kiss goes on. letting out a shaky sigh, you separate yourself from him, and hide your face to his chest.
remus doesn't say anything. he just rubs circles on your back. you start crying in slow tears, your breathing soft and liquified. you're not loud. soaked in his scent and wrapped in his sweater covered arms, you try to find yourself a place to calm down.
"you're gonna be okay." he whispers with a kiss on your head. "you're not alone."
that's the thing with loneliness, you don't think you can make yourself believe you're not alone. it surrounds your entire mind, squeezes your heart in your chest, makes you think you're an unloveable loser. your fingers grab remus's sweater. they are desperate to have something to hold onto.
you need to breathe. lifting your head to get some air into your body, you look at remus. it wrecks him, his poor girl, staring at him through glossy eyes. his thumb dries your tears gently. his eyes follow you like you're precious. like you don't deserve to be hurt by the world.
"i feel like i'm lost." you confess. "like nothing good will come out of the things i do. like i'm trying for no reason."
remus understands it, he gets drown in these feelings most times. sometimes the life is worth living, sometimes it's scary and pointless. there's love, though. he loves you too much to see you in pain. he loves every part of you, he likes being loved by you. if he's gonna get to spend it with you, then life can't be that bad.
"you haven't eaten anything properly in the last a few days." he says, calmly. "you haven't slept for more than 4 hours a day. you're constantly moving, trying to finish your things. i understand all of it, dove, but these things affect you more than you think."
"i know." you accept. "i just want to take care of myself. i wanna be good."
"you are good." he says. he cups your cheek. "you've been doing so good, i promise. i just wanna help you take care of yourself, because you're not alone. you don't have to deal with everything alone."
"i just think- i should be able to solve my own problems. i know it sounds stupid, but i was trying."
remus smiles fondly. at least the problem in context is being talked about right now. at least he gets to hold you through it, he gets to love you.
"it's not stupid." he promises. "i just need you to know i'm here. for any part you let me in, i'm here."
you nod. no more words for tonight probably. remus nods, too. it's okay.
he pulls your head to let it stay on the crook of his neck. you settle down. you won't suddenly be okay just because he talked you through it, he knows, but it's still something. slow kisses, gentle fingers. remus is here.
"you need food, sleep, and some loving, dove." he says like it's an obvious decision. "once we get all these done, i'm sure things will feel a bit better."
"can we start with the loving, please?"
"i know, it's my favorite, too." he smiles. he's an angel.
he begins by kissing your forehead. his lips are warm on you, he presses them between your eyebrows to help you relax the tight muscles there. you close your eyes, he kisses your slightly wet cheeks. he kisses your cheekbones, your jawline. his hands fix your hair as you breathe in his air. you get close to him like a kitten stayed in cold.
"i love you." he says, softer than he thinks he can manage. "i love you more than anything."
he gives you a long kiss on your lips this time. tiny caresses, nothing too passionate. he moves his lips on your chin, below your ears.
"you've been doing so well." he whispers when he gets close to your ear. "you'll be doing better. it's gonna be okay."
you move your fingers to your sweater, the air feels too warm. remus helps you take it off to leave you in your tank top. he kisses your collarbones, the spot between them. you don't know what this is, is it worshipping? he's doing something you've never felt before. you feel like liquid in his arms, melted and safe. addicted to this now. there's no going back.
"i love you." you whisper. "i can't even say how much."
"i know how much." he tells you. "i know, baby."
your cheeks are dry. remus makes sure of your comfort. his hand finds your waist to hold you, other hand going straight to your hair. his fingers rub your scalp. you look like a cat, your back arched prettily to him, you're practically hungry for his affection. your eyes feel droopy, tired with the emotions you had to deal with and the stress of the week.
"we can go to bed." remus offers. "you look like you'll fall asleep."
"can we stay here?" you ask him, his lap is more comfortable than bed and this position is amazing.
"of course." he says. he's gonna be your pillow for as long as you want him to be.
"thank you, baby." you whisper to his ear, voice swimming in fondness. "for everything you said."
remus likes being your baby, that's true. he likes how you trust him and how responsive you are to his touches, too. you close your eyes again, calm and safe. he covers your bare shoulder with the blanket after putting a kiss on it. the night goes well, he thinks.

Blitzø x reader- Bad Day 💔
Tumblr media
Blitz had the shittiest shit day ever and was ready to fall asleep and stay asleep forever. Between feeling excluded and lonely after seeing Millie and Moxxie’s displays of affection during dinner at Ozzie’s, then Fizz and Verosika giving him shit in front of the entire restaurant and Stolas being disgustingly clingy as always, Blitz felt himself breaking down, deteriorating from the inside out. It really stuck with him when he heard a restaurant patron shout, “YOU’RE SLEEPIN’ WITH AN IMP?” when referring to him and Stolas. What an embarrassment for both of them. He already has a very low self-esteem and that comment just solidified all his intrusive thoughts- no matter who he’s with, how successful he becomes, how much money he has, he’ll always be just an imp.
Blitzø stumbled through the front door of his apartment, rapidly proceeding to Loona’s room with a small smile. His precious girl always cheers him up, even when she’s in a bad mood…which is always. At the exact moment he sees the note on her door saying that she is out at a party, his smile drops to a disappointed frown. With the upper half of his body hunched over, his arms dangling limply by his sides, he trudges over to the couch and collapses on it with a huff.
This feeling was way too overwhelming- he felt suffocated by his clothes, pushed around and beaten by his own mind. He felt defeated and had no idea how to get himself out of this state of mind. He pulls out his phone to scroll through some pictures, maintaining his lonely frown the whole time. Blitz rolls his eyes at an old pic of him and Verosika. Then, he finds himself looking at a photo of his mom, sister and him, so happy, so close. After only seconds of looking into the picture, all his feelings unexpectedly erupt from him. The tears forced their way to the surface, gushing down his red and white cheeks. His chest felt like it was gonna cave in any second now, his lungs forgetting how to breath calmly.
“Fuck…” He chokes out while tossing his phone aside and sprawling out over the couch. He couldn’t hold it in anymore. He couldn’t stop the tears from welling up and overflowing, he couldn’t slow his breaths, he couldn’t even open his eyes they felt so swollen already. He had never felt so alone before. Laying on his stomach with his wet, snotty face in the pillows, he completely lets loose. A guttural, miserable, shaky moan leaves him as he weeps, his fists clenching around nothing in particular.
Just as he sucks in a quivering gasp of air, the sound of the front door opening caused him to hold his breath and stay completely still. “Blitz?” Fuck…of all people to walk in on him during his pathetic mental breakdown, why you? He’s literally praying that you’ll just go away but he knows you won’t, you’ll keep looking until you find him. He knows this, but he stays hidden and silent on the couch until you finally walk around and see him.
“Blitz? Whats wrong? What happened?” Stepping over to him quickly then kneeling on your knees beside him, he seems to retreat even further away. Blitz scoots into the couch more, turning his head away from you as he exhales then inhales and then holds it again. “Are you okay?” Obviously, he’s not okay but he nods his head anyways. “You can talk to me, Blitz.” Finally, he lets out all the air he was holding in. “I don’t wanna fucking talk right now.” He manages to mutter out between hiccups and sniffles. “Oh…okay.” Your voice a soft whisper now, Blitz again finds his hands balled up into tight fists, his fingers digging deeply into his palms. Dammit…he did mean to snap at you.
But instead of abandoning him, you shimmy your way onto the couch next to him, one arm coming to wrap around his torso as you lay your head against his back. You can hear everything with your ear to his back- his shaky breathing, his soft whimpers he’s trying so hard to hold back. “We don’t have to talk. We can just…lay here. I’m with you, okay?” You pull him closer, his back up against your stomach as you give him a gentle squeeze.
He tried so fucking hard to conceal it, to play it off in front of you, he really did but he lost it again, crumbling apart right in your arms. After hearing the sweet words of reassurance you offered him and the way your hand was now rubbing slowly across his heaving chest and the way you didn’t leave him…he can’t help but let it all out. Blitz softly shakes against you, making your heart ache for him. You’ve seen him in so many different moods and different situations, in so many silly costumes and you’ve heard some pretty vile things leave his mouth but you’ve never seen him like this. He was an absolute mess.
Slowly and carefully, you scoot closer, fitting your knees perfectly in the back of his. With a slight hum and one hand still rubbing his chest, you close your eyes as you rest against his back still. “Is there anything I can do for you?” Softly, you speak as Blitz exhales deeply once again. “Anything you need, just say the word.” Your hand stops the rubbing of his chest as you take a moment to squeeze him again.
“Don’t leave me…” With a crack in his voice, Blitz finally responds before curling in on himself even more. “I’m not going anywhere, promise.” As you nuzzle your cheek against his back. Your reply calms him, allowing his body to finally soften into your embrace. Together, you lay like this for a while, finding comfort in the sound of each other’s breathing.
Eventually, Blitz weakly turns himself around to reveal his somewhat improved mood. His eyes are puffy and glossy but the tears had stopped. His frown is a nasty one, one of the worst you’ve ever seen him wear but his eyes show a hint of something more positive as well- a look of hope? admiration? appreciation? Now facing you and looking at your face right there in front of him, hope, admiration and appreciation all swelled within him. He felt so lucky to have you, as an employee, as a friend… and maybe you two would be more one day. Maybe more…today? Right now?
“Do you think I’m… just a stupid imp? That I’ll always be seen as just an imp?” He can’t bring himself to look at you now, eyes scanning the ceiling instead. “Do you think I’m just a stupid imp? Is that all you see me as?” You immediately reply, watching as he starts to over analyze the situation. “No, no, of course not. You’re…fucking awesome.” His eyes land on your face for a second before they shift back to the ceiling. “So are you, boss.” Blitz scoffs lightly at your words, giving you a disapproving glare. “No! Really! I mean it, Blitz.” A soft sigh comes from him and he’s having a hard time believing your words.
“It’s gonna be okay.” You say with a light hearted tone and a small smile. Gently, teasingly you reach up to his face and use your thumbs to pull the corners of his mouth up into a smile. “Awww! There he is, there’s my guy!” As you pull your hands away, a smile finds your face as you notice his smile doesn’t fall, he’s smiling for real now. It’s not a big smile, honestly it’s barely a smile at all but it’s something. It’s better than the horrible frown he had on earlier.
“You sure you don’t wanna talk about it?” You ask cautiously, not wanting to upset him anymore. “I’m sure.” His reply is immediate and short, making you stay quiet after. Instead of using your voice, you go back to comforting him physically. With one hand on his cheek again, cupping his face this time, Blitz leans forward to rest his forehead against yours. Simultaneously, you both close your eyes and let out a deep breath.
As you let your thumb trace back and forth over the skin of his cheek, Blitz opens his eyes again and takes this chance to just stare down at you, at your eyelashes, at your skin and any little scars or blemishes that decorate it, at your lips as they part momentarily to suck in a breath. Without thinking it over, he kisses you. It’s quick, not necessarily soft because he came in kind of fast but it wasn’t hard or sloppy or anything like that. It was sort of a test of the waters for Blitz. He wanted much more than a measly peck from you but he didn’t want go all in on you and scare you off or weird you out.
To his surprise, before he can get a good look at your reaction, you’re chasing his face as he pulls away. As you lean forward, a shocked ‘mmm’ rumbles from Blitzø’s throat when your lips meet his again. This time, the kiss lasts longer. It remains sweet and simple, there’s no tongue, no spit or even much movement from your mouths at all. After locking lips for a few seconds, you part to finally look at each other. Your smiles mock each other’s, both growing bigger and bigger.
This isn’t at all how either of you imagined your first kiss together. Blitz had something more rough and dirty in mind but he’s beyond grateful that you still respect him after seeing him in such a lowly position. You’re not sure what comes over him as he stares at your lips but he confidently yanks you back into him, kissing you again.
With his mouth still covering most of your own, he mumbles, “Earlier, you said anything I need and now I need you.” The kiss is deepened by Blitz carefully moving his lips against yours, both your heads tilting to find the perfect position. His hands roam up and down your back at an extremely slow pace as his mouth follows along, moving in tandem with yours.
“Yes, sir.”
And the rest of the evening is spent gently coddling and lovingly appreciating each other at such a close range. The kissing lasts so long, that eventually you’re both just lazily pecking each other on the lips over and over and over again with closed eyes and relaxed limbs. It’s nice, it’s simple yet romantic and Blitz has never felt more safe or comfortable in his entire existence.
“And if you tell anyone about this, I’ll kill you.”
“No, you won’t.”
“You’re right, I won’t. But please don’t tell anyone.”
“I won’t. I promise.”

</3 hotline bling || j. jaehyun </3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
about? jaehyun misses her, but she’s on to bigger better things. (world’s worst synopsis but it’s the best i got bro) warnings? angst!!! fwb? non idol au. fem reader. mentions of sex, alcohol use, drug use (weed). i think that's all. wc? 1.7k notes? another old repost👹
Tumblr media
you used to call me on my cellphone late-night when you need my love
************************************************ 3 months, 1 week, and 4 days. that’s how long it had been since jaehyun last saw you. but, hey, who's counting? if he had been, he would have succumbed to that void feeling in his chest by now. the one created by you but ultimately worsened by his own actions. his own actions ruined the best thing he ever had. but it was your fault too, right?
if you didn't have such an illuminating smile, such a feather-light yet addicting touch, such an effervescent personality, such a radiant aura, then he the both of you wouldn't be in this situation. no. if you hadn't wanted something more and jaehyun hadn't been too scared of ruining a good thing even though he knew you deserved more—deserved better. he knew you deserved the world and the stars along with it, but he was so afraid he couldn't give it to you. so he cowered behind his thoughts; he dismissed the relationship you had, shutting you out in the process.
thankfully, you had a mind of your own. you knew better than to remain where you weren't wanted. you knew your worth. that's probably why jaehyun had that constant ache in his chest, that pang in his heart. the void.
he was expecting you to dismiss the fact that he couldn't come to terms with himself you and continue with the late-night phone calls. sneaking out of the apartment at 1 and 2 in the morning—when he thought everyone was asleep—to spend hours at your place. half naked smoke sessions with deeply thought out conversations lingering in the air with every puff. or hot nights in your room that always seemed to end with clothes scattered here and there, fluffy comforter somehow still clinging to a corner of the bed, and the sheets tangled around only you because he was never there when you woke up. ’he had better, more important things to do.’ you would convince yourself. but when you finally stopped gaslighting yourself with that excuse, you realized he couldn't face his own music.
************************************************ ever since i left the city, yougot a reputation for yourself noweverybody knows and i feel left outgirl, you got me down, you got me stressed out'cause ever since i left the city, youstarted wearing less and goin' out moreglasses of champagne out on the dance floorhangin' with some girls i've never seen before
************************************************ guilt. jealousy. anger. sadness. utter outrage. one of these emotions—possibly even a mixture—was grasping at jaehyun's heart and yanking at the strings right now. even so, he couldn’t stop rewatching the clip on his phone in front of him. it wasn’t like he meant to find you. he just happened to be scrolling through the explore page on instagram and much to his sudden disbelief you were the thumbnail on some video. against his better judgment (of course) he clicks the video, watching you hold a cup of God-knows-what in the air as your body hazily sways in a sea of people inside of what looks to be a club. jaehyun’s face is still one of shock as the girl recording yells something cringey about all of her friends being ‘badies’ and ‘hot girls’ and continues to survey each of her friends, including you, while everyone gets more excited with the new song’s change of pace.
it could’ve been all in his head but that video seemed way longer than the allotted one minute. jaehyun doesn’t know how many times he watches the video before he decides to click on the girl’s profile (a bad decision on behalf of his 2 functioning brain cells). his thumbs seemed to move on their own as he scrolled down her page and searched through countless posts of herself, her with her family, and her with her friends. jaehyun couldn’t pry his eyes from the screen as he clicked on a picture with you in it, hoping you would be tagged. you were, of course, so he clicked. another mistake on his part.
your username and bio were both different. even though jaehyun hadn’t visited your profile in a while, he did remember the main details of it. jaehyun repeated his earlier actions and examined your page this time. there were posts of yourself. you and your dog. you and your family. you and this new group of friends he had never seen until now. you and some man? you and this man hugging, holding hands, kissing, traveling, eating out together? you and jaehyun used to tell each other about everything, and you had certainly never mentioned him before. you people aren’t supposed to move on this fast. hell, jaehyun hadn’t even moved on. he still listened to the playlist you two had created together. he still dreamed about you. he still woke up with the lingering touches of you on his body as if you had been beside him moments before. he still had late-night venting sessions with taeyong as he sniffled and wiped his teary face after genuinely expressing what he was never able to tell you face-to-face.
but, here you were. you had completely evolved from the person jaehyun knew almost 6 months ago. you weren’t the same girl who posted simple photos of herself in cute, comfortable outfits captioned with inspirational quotes, or wholesome reviews of the new greek mythology book you had bought at your favorite, cozy bookstore. this was some girl who had grown to almost a 80,000 followers in just 6 months. this was some girl who posted pointless photos of her newest hermes purse; some girl whose wardrobe would alternate between burberry pantsuits and louboutin heels, to nike tracksuits and air force ones, to what could very well be some bundle of strings fashion nova tries to pass off as a dress. this new girl—this new you—was copacetic, thriving, and glowing. you were happy with this seemingly very outgoing group of people who the old you would’ve never thought about fraternizing with. worst of all, the new you appeared to be enjoying life with some guy that wasn’t jaehyun. jaehyun’s a complete mess without you laying next to him at 2 in the morning and you were supposed to be the same. he was supposed to have the same crippling effect on you as you did on him.
apparently, jaehyun had been sitting in his whirlwind of thoughts long enough for his phone to lock. he pulled himself out of his trance and made his only decent decision of the day. he went to find taeyong, knowing he would still be awake and available to examine whatever emotional baggage jaehyun had this time. he told taeyong about his earlier revelations (leaving out the part about your apparent love interest). “why don’t you just talk to her? tell her how you actually feel.” weren't the words he expected to hear. he didn't know what to expect, honestly.
as jaehyun laid in his bed he picked up his phone with shaky hands. when he unlocked it, he felt another tug at his heartstrings, forgetting that his phone had locked on a gorgeous post of your beaming smile while he was in a daze earlier. the time on his phone read 1:46 A.M. he didn't want to call you. you might not pick up. but he wanted an immediate response. jaehyun needed validation right now. he silently prayed that your number hadn't changed along with everything else during your productive time away from him. he opened his messages and clicked on your name; ’y/n💛’. jaehyun smiled to himself as he looked at the last messages sent between the two of you. you had been sending memes back and forth, with the last message before the hiatus being three emojis expressing your laughter.
jaehyun pondered for a few moments on what to type. ’yo y/n it's me.’ ’hey it's me, jaehyun.’ ’hey y/n we haven't talked in a while.’ he wasted a good twenty minutes overthinking, typing, and erasing potential conversation starters. then he just decided to pour out what was left of his heart. fuck it.
he didn't expect you to reply quickly, but he wanted you to, so jaehyun kept his phone unlocked and open to your messages as he waited. he had peeked two minutes after hitting send, but he didn't notice it then. jaehyun let five more anxious minutes pass before checking again. he almost didn't notice it that time, but somehow he managed to spot it.
the small subscript under his message. ’read’
jaehyun didn't know if it was him being delirious with fatigue or the actual fact of you acknowledging but ignoring him, but his breathing got short and shaky and his tears started to roll. it was finally happening. that void feeling in his chest—in his heart—that place where special memories of you were kept, had finally drawn him in and suffocated him with the realization that you didn't want him anymore, didn’t need him anymore. you no longer needed jaehyun to bring you the pleasures of life. for all he knows now, you never really did.

The hum of the coffee shop’s morning rush provided a comforting backdrop to your thoughts as you gazed out the window, her hands wrapped around a steaming cup of tea your friends had ordered for you that morning. It was supposed to be a nice relaxing girls' day today, it had been far too long since any of you had gotten to hang out alone without you rushing off to go to Yoongi and they were determined to make you see things their way today.
"You're not even listening to us," Mia groans as she looks at you, your eyes are staring down at your phone, almost as if you wanted it to ring, just so you could feel needed by Yoongi.
"I am, you were talking about the new outfit you were going to wear," You rambled off, your eyes slowly lifting as you stared back at your two friends. Neither of them looked rather happy right now and you knew why.
"You should turn it off, we're having a girly day," Mia warned you but you bit down on your lip.
If you turned off your phone there was a chance you could miss a call from Yoongi, and then what if he never called you for help again? You weren't going to risk any of it.
"I can't." You choke up on your words a little before lifting the cup to your lips and taking a small sip of the tea, trying to ignore the nagging feeling in the back of your mind that this was wrong. You didn't care.
If loving Yoongi was wrong then you never wanted to be right in your life.
"Why-" Mia stopped herself when your phone buzzed insistently, cutting through the murmur of voices and the hiss of the espresso machine, Mia's eyes narrowed at you daring you not to do it but you smiled sheepishly. Carefully you picked it up, your heart skipping a beat when you saw the name on the screen.
Yoongi. 🩷
Without hesitation, you swiped to answer, bringing the phone to your ear, doing your best to ignore the looks you were getting from your two best friends who were now sitting with their arms folded across their chest. Suddenly you felt as though you were 13 years old and telling your parents that you wanted to go out with friends.
“Hey, Yoongi, what’s up?” Your voice came out shaky as you tried to act cool about everything. Yoongi would call you all the time whenever he needed something and you were there in a flash.
“YN, can you come over?” Yoongi’s voice was calm, as usual, but there was an undertone of urgency that made you panic a little. Had something happened?
“I need some help with this track, and I can’t get it right.” Your shoulders relaxed a fraction knowing that nothing truly bad had happened to him and you nodded your head, despite him not being able to see you through the phone.
“Of course! I’ll be there in fifteen minutes.” You replied immediately, already grabbing your bag from the floor despite the look you were getting from your friends. As soon as you hung up the phone, a smile spread across your face but the girls didn't exactly look excited for you to be doing this to them...again.
It happened every single time the three of you were supposed to spend any real time together and if they didn't know any better they would have assumed Yoongi did it on purpose but it couldn't have been true.
They knew that Yoongi didn't see you as anything more than someone he could use but they weren't going to be the ones to be too harsh to tell you that.
“You’re going to see Yoongi again, aren’t you?” Sarah teased, your eyebrow arched playfully, smirking softly as you felt your body heating up. Sarah was the kinder one in your friendship group, constantly encouraging you to go to Yoongi but Mia, on the other hand, was completely different. You nodded, unable to hide your excitement as you giggled a little.
“Yeah, he needs my help with something.” You shrugged casually but Mia shook her head at you. It was clear you were too oblivious to what he was doing. Using you.
“You’re always running to him,” Mia said with a hint of concern, she didn't want to watch you keep disappearing like this. Every time you went to see him you'd be so excited, only to come back looking defeated because he never asked you out.
“What about your plans today? We were supposed to go shopping, remember? It's my birthday tomorrow and we're getting our outfits,” She tried to make you see things from her side but you bit down on your lip.
“I know, I know,” You said, pausing for a moment as you looked at her, you knew today was meant to be a girl's day but you could easily make it up to her tomorrow.
“But Yoongi needs me. I promise I’ll make it up to you guys. Tomorrow, I promise! Biggest present I can find! It's yours.” You smirked at her but Mia didn't look convinced. Sighing she exchanged a look with Sarah that spoke volumes. So much needed to be said but they knew you weren't in the right space to hear it right now. Not when you constantly defended everything he ever did. At one point, they were sure you would have defended him if he tried to run you over with a car.
“Just don’t let him take you for granted, okay?” Sarah warned gently, looking at you with a softened expression but you waved her off and shook your head.
“He’s not like that. Yoongi’s amazing. You guys just don’t understand him like I do.” You smiled sweetly and Mia sighed into her cup, waving goodbye as you made your way out of the cafe. There wasn't much they could do until you saw it for yourself, all they had to do was make sure they were ready and waiting for you.
Tumblr media
The walk to Yoongi’s apartment was a short one, but it felt like an eternity as your mind raced with thoughts of him. You'd been in love with him for as long as you could remember, and you'd do anything to help him, no matter what. No matter the time or day you would be there as soon as he called to let you know he needed you. The very idea of being needed by him filled you with a warmth that no one else could ever provide, it was unlike anything you'd ever felt before and you never wanted to let that feeling go.
When you arrived, you knocked on the door lightly expecting to have to wait for him to get to it like usual but it swung open almost immediately, revealing Yoongi in a slightly rumpled t-shirt and jeans, his hair tousled as if he’d been running his hands through it in frustration. The sight made your heartache, the thought of him so stressed out over something made you want to remedy it right away.
“Hey, thanks for coming,” he said, stepping aside to let you in, shutting the door behind you as you stared around. His apartment was a familiar mess of scattered sheet music, half-empty coffee cups, and the unmistakable scent of creativity in the air. It was obvious he was working on something even if he hadn't told you on the phone.
Whenever Yoongi was in work mode he would mostly shut out the rest of the world, becoming a hermit in his own apartment until he got so stuck he needed to call for backup.
“Anything for you,” You replied with a bright smile, setting your bag down by the sofa as he sighed a little and ran his fingers through his hair.
“What’s the problem?” You glanced over your shoulder at him but he was already walking in the direction of his studio, where his computer screen was filled with audio tracks and waveforms, something you'd seen countless times since being friends with him and the rest of the guys.
“This part right here,” he pointed at the screen where he'd clearly been stressing the most and you narrowed your eyes at it a little,
“I can’t get the sound to blend the way I want. I need another set of ears.” He grumbled, dropping himself down into the chair in front of his desk, and unplugging some headphones before he started to get it ready for you to listen to.
You settled into the chair beside him, listening intently as he played the segment. Your heart raced to be so close to him, but you forced yourself to focus on the task at hand, closing your eyes a little as you listened to the track in repeat, trying to think of what was desperately needed.
“I think if you adjust the EQ here and maybe layer in a softer harmony, it could smooth out the transition.” You said as you showed him on the screen, your body stretched across him as you took the mouse from his hand and began to adjust everything.
Yoongi watched you as you worked, a conflicted look in his eyes as he studied you. He admired your dedication and your talent, but there was something else—something he couldn’t quite admit to himself, something he was never even going to admit, even in his head. But the longer he watched you the more he couldn't help but wonder why you were always here for him.
He was nothing but mean to you whenever you were around and he only ever called you when he wanted something from you. By all accounts, he was a piece of shit to you and yet you still came when he called.
“Why do you always come when I call?” he asked suddenly, his voice low. Your heart practically lodged itself inside of your throat as you heard the question. You looked up, surprised as to where all of this was coming from, usually the two of you would work in silence.
“Because you need me,” you said simply, there was no beating around the bush when it came to this, you couldn't hide it forever.
“And I care about you, Yoongi. I always have.” Your voice came out a little shaky as you watched Yoongi. His face gave no indication that he registered the words. He just turned away, staring at the screen in front of him and not paying you much attention.
“You shouldn’t,” he muttered, more to himself than to you but you didn't hear him, your attention was already back on the music blissfully unaware of the storm that was raging inside of Yoongi.
Tumblr media
You fucked up.
You didn't just fuck up a little either, you fucked up majorly. It was the night of Mia's birthday party and you'd been late. You were supposed to help her and Sarah set up during the day but since you'd been working with Yoongi the night before you'd barely slept and somehow slept until the afternoon and turned up late to her party. And it was safe to say Mia was not happy. Not in the slightest.
"Look, I fucked up but-"
"I don't know what I even expected, I'm sick of this." She yelled, gaining attention from some of the other people around her as you flinched a little. You'd never heard your friend yell before and never at you,
"Mia, it was an accident. I slept in"
"Because he had you working all night." She grumbled at you, folding her arms across her chest as she stared at you with an unnerving look on her face. Sarah was shaking her head, she'd done everything she could to calm Mia down but there was no going back now.
"Who the fuck do you think you are? All you ever do is use us until he takes your time." Mia spat out, venom dripping from her words. Sarah pulled her arm, telling her not to do this but she shoved her away and shook her head.
"She fucking deserves it. I'm sick of it! We're pushed to the side all because her precious fucking angel calls her." Mia laughs bitterly as you move closer to you, her head tilted to the side with an evil look on her face.
"Do you think he calls you because he's interested in you? Or do you think he cares about anything you have to say?" She didn't give you time to answer before cutting you off,
"You're so fucking boring. I'm going to be straight with you because he won't. He's not interested in anything other than using you, he doesn't give a fuck about you, or your feelings. He knows you're easy to get to, that's why he calls you." She spits out before walking off, Sarah sends you an apologetic look.
"What she's trying to say is that...You're always there for him, dropping everything, but what does he do for you? You're always waiting for him, but he's never waiting for you. You deserve better than someone who only calls when he needs something." Your eyes filled with tears as the words sank in, everything hitting you all at once.
"But he cares about me. I know he does." Your voice was so shakey it was almost as if you didn't believe them as you said the words. Sarah shook her head.
"I’m not saying he doesn’t care at all, but he doesn’t care enough. Not the way you deserve. You’ve built your world around him, and he hasn’t done the same for you." She tells you before chasing after Mia but your heart sank at the thought of it.
The truth of Sarah's words hit you like a ton of bricks, making it so hard for you to breathe that it felt like you were sucking everything in through a coffee filter and never getting enough air into your chest. You felt a sharp pain in your chest, a sense of betrayal and heartbreak all at once as you remembered everything you'd done for Yoongi without anything in return.
Without another word, you turned and walked out of the venue, the noise of the party fading behind you as you tried to shake the thoughts out of your mind. How could you have been so blind to it all?
The cool night air hit her as you stepped onto the street, your mind a whirlwind of emotions that you couldn't quite grasp or understand any of them. You walked aimlessly, not paying attention to where you were going, your thoughts a jumbled mess of memories and realizations as everything continued to hit you all at once.
Tears streamed down your face, and you wrapped your arms around yourself, trying to hold yourself together so you wouldn't completely break down in the middle of the streets.
As you continued to walk aimlessly you were completely unaware of the traffic or the people you passed, your mind numb and blank to everything else going on around you. Your phone buzzed in your pocket, but for the first time...in, well, ever, you ignored it, too consumed by your own thoughts to even think of picking up or even checking to see if it was him. The world around you felt distant and surreal like you were moving through a fog. In your daze, you stepped off the curb, not noticing the approaching car until it was far too late. A blaring horn jolted you back to harsh reality, you tried to step back to the street but it was already too late. The car struck you, and you were thrown to the ground, your body hitting the pavement with a sickening thud, your head smashing against the floor as you squinted up at the black sky. Everything hurt, cars screeched, and people screamed and panicked as they rushed over to you.
"No one touch her! Call an ambulance!" Someone screamed before a face appeared above you but you'd never seen the man before in your life.
"I'm sorry, I didn't see you. What's your name? Can you tell me your name?" The voice slowly began to trail off as your eyes got too heavy to stay open and just like that...The world went black.
Tumblr media
Yoongi was pacing back and forth in his living room, his phone clutched tightly in his hand as he shook his head at himself. He glanced at the screen for the twentieth time in the past few minutes, his frustration growing with each unanswered call. Every time he dialled, it went straight to voicemail which only further fueled his racing mind that something bad had happened to you.
He'd been trying to call you to get you to come over and help him and Jungkook with a track, even though he knew he didn't really need the help he just wanted to see you. It was an excuse to get to see you again.
“Come on, YN,” he muttered under his breath, hitting redial once more, his heart in his throat as he waited for you to pick up, praying you would answer.
But the same monotonous beep greeted him, followed by your cheerful voicemail message, your voice sending a wave throughout his body.
“Hey, it’s YN! Leave a message, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks!” Yoongi groaned, running a hand through his hair in agitation, how could you do this? You always picked up whenever he called. It was the one thing he could always count on in the back of his mind.
His heart was racing, and a sense of dread was slowly creeping up on him. Where could you be? Why weren't you answering? It wasn't like your character at all.
“Yoongi, man, calm down,” Jungkook’s voice cut through his thoughts. He was sitting on the couch, watching his friend with a concerned expression.
“I’m sure she’s fine. Maybe she’s just busy or her phone died.” He shrugged his shoulders trying to remind his hyung of the rational things that could happen before his mind went straight to the bad. Yoongi stopped pacing, turning to face Jungkook.
“It’s not like her to not answer my calls. She always picks up. What if something happened? She constantly has her phone on charge! She has that fucking annoying little battery pack she carries around,” He reminded him and shook his head. Your phone wouldn't die. You wouldn't let it die. No. There was something wrong, he could feel it in his bones.
Jungkook stood up, walking over to him, rubbing his shoulder softly as he shook his head at Yoongi.
“You’re overthinking it. YN’s probably okay. You’re just not used to not having her around whenever you need her.” Yoongi’s grip tightened on his phone. It was true and deep down he knew it. Deep down he knew he was used to constantly being at his beck and call which didn't make it easier for him to accept that you suddenly weren't.
“But what if she’s in trouble?” Yoongi sounded so defeated as he questioned Jungkook. Jungkook sighed, placing a hand on Yoongi’s shoulder once again and squeezing it.
“Yoongi, listen to yourself. You’re panicking. This isn’t just about her not answering the phone. You’re scared because you care about her more than you’re willing to admit.” Yoongi frowned, shaking his head. His feelings for you had nothing to do with any of this. Not that he had them.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He grumbled defensively, walking away from Jungkook and shaking his head once again, Jungkook chuckled softly.
“Yes, you do. You’ve always relied on YN for everything. She’s always there for you, and you’ve gotten used to it. But it’s more than that. You’re worried because you love her, Yoongi. You just haven’t realized it yet.” Yoongi opened his mouth to argue, but the words wouldn’t come, they couldn't come out because he couldn't think straight.
Instead, he found himself replaying all the moments the two of you had shared in his mind—the late-night studio sessions, the way you always knew how to make him laugh, the way his heart felt lighter when you were around. A sudden clarity washed over him, and he stumbled back, sinking onto the couch and staring at the wall. All the moments rushed back to him. You would constantly bring him food in case he hadn't eaten. You were there caring for him the second he needed you, sometimes without him even calling you.
Then there were times he'd call you without a reason. He'd make up some silly excuse just so that he could be around you for a little while. Enjoying the way you made him feel. So relaxed...content...Happy.
“I… I love her,” he whispered, the truth hitting him like a tidal wave.
“How did I not see it?” He questioned, his eyes slowly moving over to his friend who smiled knowingly, sitting beside him. It was obvious to everyone but Yoongi that he was in love with you.
“Sometimes it’s hard to see what’s right in front of us. But it’s not too late. Call her again, and if she doesn’t answer, we’ll go find her. Tell her how you feel.” Jungkook smiled warmly at him and Yoongi nodded, his hands trembling slightly as he dialled your number once more. The phone rang, and for a moment, he feared it would go to voicemail again, his fingers tightened around the phone and Jungkook smiled at him, trying to give his friend silent encouragement. But then, there was a click, and a stranger’s voice came through the line, tense and urgent.
“Is this Yoongi? This is Officer Kim. We found this phone on a woman who’s been in an accident. She’s unconscious and being taken to the hospital.” The phone slipped from Yoongi’s hand, his blood running cold, he knew something had happened to you as he choked on the air he was struggling to get into his lungs. Jungkook caught the phone, his eyes widening in shock at Yoongi.
“We need to go. Now.” Was all Yoongi said before rushing to find his keys.
Tumblr media
You breathe steadily, your head pounding as you listen to the annoying beeping coming from beside your head. You wriggle your toes a little, trying to stretch and wake up from the deep sleep you appeared to be in. Everything felt too stiff for you to move.
"Yn?" A voice whispered from beside you. You frowned a little, you knew that voice your eyes slowly fluttered open and you saw Yoongi standing there.
His hand cradled yours as he stared at you from the beside chair.
"Yn...can you hear me?" Another voice said, you turned your head toward the sound and a bright light was shoved into your vision making you groan. As you attempted to move your left hand to cover your eyes it felt too heavy. Staring down you saw your arm in a cast.
"She might need some time to wake up," The person with the light said to Yoongi before heading out of the room,
"Come on, beautiful. Come back to me." Yoongi said as you stared at him. What the fuck was going on? Yoongi never called you any kind of name before. Let alone compliment you and he was holding your hand. Actually holding it.
"Good girl," He whispers as you finally come out of the state you were in and everything comes back to you. The fight with Mia. The car horn, and you laying on the floor with your head bleeding.
"What's going on?" Your voice came out hoarse as Yoongi sat the bed up for you, just happy you were finally awake after four days of sitting in a hospital bed with no one having any idea if you were going to wake up again.
"They said you walked out in front of the car. What the fuck were you doing, beautiful?" He whispers, running his hand over your cheek softly before reaching over for a cup of water and bringing it to your lips.
"Am I dead?" You deadpanned, wondering why he was suddenly being like this with you.
"No, thank god." Yoongi smiled at you as he sank down into the chair beside your bed again and you studied him for a second. Remembering everything all at once, the way Mia had screamed at you and made you realise what was truly happening between you and Yoongi.
“I… I remember now. I was so upset…” You whisper, staring down at your arm in the cast. Mia had signed it with a bunch of hearts and I'm sorry was written in big writing making you smile a little. Yoongi watched you for a second, biting his lip.
“I know,” Yoongi interrupted, his eyes filled with guilt as he stared at you. He'd been taking you for granted and he had no idea where to even start with everything. For four days he'd watched over you, not moving from your side unless the doctors ordered him to and he still hadn't been able to think of the right words for you.
“YN, I’m so sorry. I’ve been an idiot. I didn’t realize how much I was hurting you, how much I took you for granted.” You looked at him, your eyes searching his as your eyebrows knitted together.
“Why are you here, Yoongi?” The words came out a little harsher than you'd intended but you didn't want to get confused with him anymore.
“Because I love you,” he said, the words tumbling out in a rush, his throat drying up.
“I’ve been so blind, but when I thought I might lose you, everything became clear. I love you, YN. I need you in my life, not just as a friend, but as something more.” Your heart didn't skip a beat, it practically skipped a whole fucking playlist at his confession, but the pain of the past couldn’t be ignored so easily. You pulled your hand away, looking down at the blanket covering your body. You wanted to jump into his arms but you couldn't, not after everything you'd finally realised.
“You’ve hurt me, Yoongi. You only called me when you needed something. You never thought about how I felt.” You whisper,
“I know,” he admitted, his voice filled with regret as he stared at you. After you'd been bought in he'd gotten yelled at by Mia and Sarah and they hadn't gone easy on him either, which he was actually glad for. He deserved for them to scream at him for what he'd done to you.
“I’ve been selfish and oblivious. But I’m here now, and I want to make things right. I want to be there for you the way you’ve always been there for me.” You looked up at him, your eyes filled with tears hearing him admit everything you'd ever dreamt of him saying.
“How do I know this isn’t just because you were scared? How do I know you won’t go back to the way things were?” Yoongi leaned closer to you, his eyes earnest as he smiled weakly at you. He was going to do everything to change your mind and make you see things from his side.
“I can’t change the past, but I can promise you this: I will never take you for granted again. I will prove to you every day how much you mean to me. Please, YN, give me a chance to show you.” You studied him for a long moment, your emotions reeling deep inside of you.
The hurt, the love, the fear of being hurt again. Finally, you took a deep breath.
“I’ve loved you for so long, Yoongi. But I can’t go through that pain again. If you hurt me-”
“I won’t,” he vowed as he cut you off, shaking his head at you, his eyes never leaving yours. He was never ever going to hurt you or take you for granted again.
“I promise, YN. I love you.” A tear slipped down your cheek, and you reached out to take his hand once more, squeezing it softly as you nodded your head.
“I love you too, Yoongi. But this time, it has to be different.”
“It will be,” he assured you, squeezing your hand gently.
“I’ll make sure of it.” He promises before you move over on the bed wanting him to come closer to you, cuddling up to him as you asked him what you'd missed over the last couple of days.

"You know, Y/N. One day, you should sit down and eat with me. I'll pay for everything. It'll be a nice little date." The old man who is a regular at the restaurant smiles up at you while you switch his empty cup with a newly refilled cup of beer.
"Sure, but you know, my boss is also my cousin. I could always ask her for free food if I wanted it. Wouldn't a date be nicer somewhere else?" You laugh and nod, giving him a wink before walking off. "Mr. Ong asked me out on another date."
"Ou, to our restaurant? How sweet of him. Maybe one day you should actually sit down and eat with him."
"I'm not looking for a sugar daddy, Soyeon."
"He probably just needs company, you weirdo." She laughs. "Aye, might be nice, though. You never know until you try." You roll your eyes. "Unless.."
"Unless, what?"
"Someone else has your heart." Soyeon nudges you behind the counter as you two work on packing some to-go orders.
"Who is someone else?"
"You know, only your bestfriend of 16 years who does everything and anything for you." Soyeon giggles. But, before she can even indulge in her own little fantasy she's trying to project on you, Seonghwa walks through the front door— black, wavy hair messily framing his head. "Speak of the devil." You glare at her and roll her eyes while she continues to giggle loudly next to you.
"I can't fucking believe you."
"What?!" You look up at Seonghwa and give him a nod. "Hwa! Our favorite person ever."
"Hey." He smiles at Soyeon, giving Junseo a wave as he helps Yoongi in the kitchen.
"What're you doing here?"
"Thought I'd pick you up for Sannie's thing." He looks at you.
"Aw, Hwa. I told you I was okay taking bus."
"I was already in the area." He sits at the bar, watching as you continue to pack the remaining orders.
"Want anything?" Soyeon asks, making Hwa shake his head in response.
"I'm good, thanks."
"You should get going so you can meet up with everyone on time." Soyeon nudges you.
"Let me give Mr. Ong his check and direct him your way before I go." You grab a new batch of dried squid with the check, pacing over to Mr. Ong with a huge smile on your face. "My dear, I have some bad news. I'm off for the night. Here's a refill of your dried squid and the check. Just pay with Soyeon at the front, okay?" He frowns and playfully protests.
"You can't go that early! What am I supposed to do when my favorite is gone?!"
"Oh, I know. It's a tragedy. I'm so sorry, Mr. Ong. I'll see you next time!" You give him a sweet smile before walking to the back and hanging up your apron. "Soyeon will take great care of you!"
"I sure will, Mr. Ong. What else do you need?" He continues to playfully protest and partake in cute banter with Soyeon, even as you grab your things and walk out the door with Seonghwa.
"Really got the hots for you. Gonna let him take you out on a date?" Seonghwa adds as he leads the way to his parked car up the street.
"Well, just so you know, he actually did ask me on a date today. For the umpteenth time. He offered to pay for my dinner at the restaurant." You giggle as you step into the passenger's seat of Hwa's car. You always commend Hwa for being so clean and tidy, his car always in pristine condition like a new car would be. You especially love the air freshener that sits on his rear view mirror, Seonghwa always making sure to hang a new one to keep the fragrance alive.
"How sweet of him." He chuckles. "How was work otherwise?"
"Good. Busy." You let out a breath.
"Not too tired to go?"
"Never! I need to see Sannie, are you kidding?"
"I'm just giving you some options." He says, pulling away from the curb to begin the trek over to the bar.
"Thanks, Hwa. I'm perfectly fine and excited." You clap your hands in excitement.
"I think they're all already there."
"They're just waiting for us?"
"Mhm."
"Can't wait. I can't believe he went MIA when he was in Barcelona."
"I mean, we heard from him every now and then, but yeah." Seonghwa licks his lips, eyes focused on the road in front of him. "Guess he really wanted to focus on his program. Plus, I'm sure he was just basking in the new environment. Being in a new country and taking it all in."
"Good for him. I strive to be that way."
"Long way to go." You playfully smack him on the arm, making him give off a small yelp.
"I'm glad he did that, though. You don't normally find yourself in a situation like that all the time." Seonghwa nods.
"Yeah. I agree." You rest your head back against the headrest, giving yourself a moment to rest before the chaos begins. Before you could even get a few seconds of peace, Seonghwa is turning at a corner, instantly pulling into a free spot on the street.
"Mind if we walk a bit? I don't think we'll find anything closer to the bar."
"Sure. If I get wasted, it's on you to carry me." You unbuckle your seatbelt and hop out of the car while Seonghwa follows suit.
"Hell no."
"So what, are you just gonna leave me?"
"Yeah." He says nonchalantly, walking ahead of you.
"You're so mean to me." You pout, making Seonghwa look down at you once you finally catch up to his side.
"Am I? Even though I lose sleep to save you from your shitty ex-boyfriend?"
"Hey, I was just kidding." He laughs. "It's not funny. Are you sick of me?"
"Y/N, please."
"Seonghwa, are you sick of me? Cause if you are, then I am too!" You tug on his arm and he shakes his head.
"We wouldn't be in each other's lives for this long if I was." He scoffs. "Besides, what the hell have I done to make you sick of me?"
"I thought so. Don't get me started." You playfully attempt to smack him on the arm. At this point, the two of you have finally reached the entrance to the bar, Wooyoung being the first to spot you walking over.
"Baby girl and her grumpy bodyguard are here!" He yells, waving you two over. You call out Wooyoung and Hongjoong's name while waving happily, but the individual next to them causes you to pause and almost short-circuit.
Because what do you mean that's Choi San?
You gasp when you finally process that it's San standing next to Wooyoung, his cheeks a rose-tinted color as he fiddles with his hands. He's nervous seeing you for the first time in years, hoping you'd still be the same around him like before.
"Sannie!" You scream, running into San's arms and allowing him to swing you around. When he puts you down, he gets a good look at your face and smiles, sending those butterflies loose in your stomach.
He definitely changed over the years.
It's been about three years since you all graduated, and since you last saw San. Once graduation was over, he felt the need to travel and explore, eventually stumbling into an Art and Architecture program in Barcelona. That's where he spent a majority of his years abroad before coming back home.
To you, your friends, his family.
This.
The familiar.
But the last time you saw San, he was a super sweet, awkward guy who experimented with hair colors and lacked consistency with the gym [even though he said he wanted to be better about a million times]. In reality though, he didn't think too much about his physical appearance and wasn't big on dressing up, was glued to his games and his shiba pillow pet named Shiber— even after graduation.
Now, he stands in front of you— a nice fitting black tee tucked into some dress pants and boots, brow slits, black hair slicked back with strands falling to his face, buff as shit in all the right places. You still smell his cologne lingering on you, on your hair, even as your eyes continue to glaze over his body.
"Wow, you look.. different." You accidentally let out while letting your eyes linger. He chuckles, showing off his deep dimples.
"What is that supposed to mean? I haven't seen you in about three years and that's the first thing you say?" He teases, pulling you into another tight hug, your cheek pressed against his chest while Seonghwa furrows his brows. Because what the fuck is he watching right now? It's so easy to tell when you're feeling some type of way, even if you won't admit it.
"Sorry, I meant that in a good way." You look up at him and playfully tap his chest. "I'm happy you're back home. It's been too long."
"I am, too." Seonghwa clears his throat, breaking the weird, flirty silence between the two of you.
"Can we go inside?" Seonghwa chimes in, looking at anyone for some sort of agreement.
"Okaaaaay!" Wooyoung says, clapping his hands awkwardly. "You didn't have to make it so fucking weird, Mr. Grumpygills." He and Hongjoong snort while they begin to walk into the bar, Hwa's hand coming up to smack Wooyoung on the back of his neck. "Ouch, what the fuck! Joongie laughed too." He whines.
"Shut up."
"I can't wait to hear your stories about Barcelona!" You link your arm with San's as you two trail behind and begin to talk about how he's been lately. Wooyoung, Hongjoong and Seonghwa slide in first before you and San follow suit into the booth.
"Somebody order before he loses his shit watching this." Hongjoong mumbles, eyeing the happy hour menu.
"Tequila? Soju?" Wooyoung yells, already calling the server over. "Both? Fuck it. Seonghwa looks like he needs it anyway."
"I will personally toss your ass out of this bar myself." Seonghwa says under his breath, glaring at Wooyoung before returning his attention to the menu. After a few moments of peace and silence, Hongjoong takes initiative to order for the booth— making sure to include everyone's wants and wishes before thanking the server with a smile and a curt nod.
The soju bottles come out first, and you immediately crack them open to get the party started. You line up all of the shot glasses and start pouring [heavily], passing it onto the boys for them to join you.
"Goodness." Hongjoong says, carefully lifting his shot glass filled to the brim. "Y/N, I love you, but we have all night, you know?"
"Exactly, Joongie! More time to get in more shots!"
"Yeah, that's the spirit babygirl! Don't worry about the grandpas!" Wooyoung yells along, tapping his glass against yours. "Sannie's back!" San shyly laughs, saying a few words along the lines of 'thank you' and 'i missed you guys a lot.' Everyone taps their glasses once more before downing their shots, with you wasting no time to pour the next round.
But the next round becomes the third, the fifth, maybe seventh, tenth? You aren't really sure when it's mainly you, San and Wooyoung taking the shots and requesting bottle after bottle. At some point, the empty bottles are gathered in the middle of the table and Seonghwa is having to play tetris to make the food fit.
"I need to pee. I'll be back."
"Are you good to go by yourself?" Wooyoung questions. "I can stand outside in the hallway until you're done."
"I'm good, I promise!" You slip out of the booth once San has slipped out of the way at the end, taking a moment to get your balance together since the world seems to be spinning a lot more than usual right now.
"Wow, I think I'm drunk." Wooyoung laughs as he plops back down onto the seat.
"Saaaame." San burps a bit before picking at the calamari sitting in front of him. "Y/N's fun. I forgot how fun she is."
"She is." Wooyoung smiles. "That's babygirl."
"Babygirl? Is this a new nickname we're calling her?"
"It's a nickname I'm calling her and Hwa hates it." Wooyoung giggles when he eyes Seonghwa next to him.
"It's just weird."
"Not! You're just mad you can't come up with a cuter nickname for your bestfriend."
"I don't need to." Seonghwa continues to eat, brushing off Wooyoung's drunk teasing.
"Did you guys come from work today?" Hongjoong shifts the topic as he munches on some of the food, hearing the slight annoyance in Seonghwa's tone.
"Yeah. Picked up Y/N on the way over."
"When are Soyeon and Junseo leaving for Japan?"
"In a few days." Wooyoung gasps.
"Does that mean we'll get to see Chacha?!"
"That's right, I never met Charli." San says, cheeks flushed completely to red now that he's 100% drunk.
"She's cute." Seonghwa smiles a bit. "But yeah, Soyeon asked Y/N to take charge in watching Chacha since Yaya's knees have been bothering her." Hongjoong nods.
"She's really cute, dude. She turned three not too long ago." Wooyoung shows San a picture.
"She's so cute." San laughs at the pictures of Charli.
"I'm back!" You announce, the boys at the end slipping out of the booth to let you get back inside. "What're you guys looking at?"
"Chacha." You smile.
"Aw yeah, Charli! You haven't met her. She'd love you." You look at San.
"Can't wait. She's super cute."
"She's stuck to this one the most, though." You point at Seonghwa. "All she does is cry for Hwa." You pour yourself another shot.
"He's no fun, though." Wooyoung pokes fun and pouts at Seonghwa.
"It's cause mentally, you're the same age as Charli. Of course you relate the most."
"Aye." Wooyoung flips him off while laughing. "Fuck you."
"Am I wrong?" Seonghwa smirks.
"Is she just gonna stay with Yaya when she doesn't have preschool? She only goes three days, right?" Hongjoong asks.
"Yeah, but I'm not sure." You reach across to grab some food, getting in Seonghwa's way. "I know Yaya won't mind, but I might just bring her along to the restaurant. She can color or something. Our regulars don't mind keeping her company, too."
"Cute."
"But, she'll be sleeping with me and everything." You say with a slightly full mouth. You feel Seonghwa accidentally nudge you while grabbing a chicken wing, making your drunk ass glare back at him just as you roughly nudge him. He mumbles a quick 'stop' as he nudges you again, making you respond with an even more aggressive nudge that has him moving in his seat. The childish back and forth has Hongjoong confused, eyes peering over the edge of his phone while he watches the interaction mid-text. "You stop." You groan.
"Seriously?" Hongjoong asks, sometimes unsure how you two have dealt with each other for this long.
"He elbowed me first." You drunkly respond, that last shot of soju finally settling in.
"It was an accident. I was trying to grab food." Seonghwa gives you a look. It's gonna be a long night. "Eat more. Drunk ass." Seonghwa drops a wing onto your plate before continuing to pick at his food.
"No." You pout and he furrows his brows.
"Fine, suit yourself. You're gonna be mad you didn't." He watches as you reach over to grab the soju bottle and pour Wooyoung and San another shot.
"Don't be a killjoy, Hwa. Sannie is back, doesn't that mean anything to you?" You whine, your doe-eyes peering up at him as he eats. He doesn't respond, nor does he keep eye contact with you for long because he can't stand it when you look at him like that.
"I'm driving, remember?" He raises a brow.
"Right." You giggle. "I'll take another on your behalf then." You shrug and take one last shot of soju right after San and Wooyoung take their shots.
"She's gonna yack tonight." Hongjoong says while puckering his lips, keeping his eyes glued to his phone.
"Yeah, probably." Seonghwa nonchalantly munches on a mozzarella stick.
"Am! Not!" You direct your response to Hongjoong, but before you can go on and defend yourself even more, a loud scream erupts when the DJ starts to play one of your favorite songs.
"Who wants to dance?!" Wooyoung yells loudly as he stands at the booth, San already ready to make his way to the dance floor. "Babygirl sure does!" San grabs your hand and leads the way, with Wooyoung pushing Hongjoong out of the booth to follow along. "You two coming?" He asks just as Hongjoong and Seonghwa shake their head, leaving him to nod and find you and San on the floor.
"Looks like those two are gonna get extra close again now that he's back for good." Hongjoong takes a turn teasing Seonghwa, knowing the flirty interaction from earlier in the night is still irking the living daylight out of him.
"Mm, maybe." Seonghwa continues to chomp on his food while avoiding eye contact.
"Wow, they're dancing awfully close like that together." Hongjoong lies, watching as Seonghwa's eyes suddenly dart to the dance floor ahead. He tries not to make it obvious but my god, is he hoping that you and San aren't dancing up on each other and are leaving room for the Holy Spirit instead. "See, you're full of shit."
"Dude, fuck off. Why is everyone on my ass about this today?"
"Maybe cause you should do something about it."
"If she wants to date San, then she should go for it. Can't tell her who she can or can't date."
"You're right, by all means. But I'm telling you to be fucking real with yourself." Seonghwa rolls his eyes and shakes his head before looking back out to the dance floor. He's a little irritated that he's had to hear this not once, but twice in one day— though, he knows his boys are only looking out for him and telling him the truth. For some reason, he just can't think about it right now. He refuses to, mainly out of fear. He doesn't want this to consume him, to change things without him even realizing.
He wants you, but he'll have you the way the universe will allow him to have you.
After you, Wooyoung and San are done dancing [a very long hour or so afterwards], the group decides to call it a night shortly after. You're still drunk as hell, and Seonghwa doesn't even know how he's gonna get you home without creating chaos at this time of night. He just hopes he can at least get you to bed in one piece.
At least you're not running off to Mingi.
"I had so much fun!" You giggle. "Choi San." You tap his chest before hugging him. "I'm so glad you're back."
"I am, too."
"We have to hang out more now that you're back. T-to make up for lost—" You hiccup. "—time."
"That sounds good with me." You smile at him before hugging Wooyoung and Hongjoong.
"I mean it!"
"I know, I do too!" He laughs.
"Hwa get home safely, please." Joong says before grabbing at Wooyoung's shirt just as he's about to run to the water fountain nearby. "No, you're not going to the fountain."
"I just wanna make a wish and toss a coin in there! I'm not gonna dive in!" Wooyoung whines while San laughs loudly. "Why are you being like that!" He continues on.
"You too!" Seonghwa calls out, picking up his pace when he realizes you've already started walking off. "Shit." He mumbles to himself.
"Wooooooo!" You skip happily as you and Seonghwa walk down the street to his car. You stumble on your feet a bit that he has to grab your wrist and pull you back towards him before you end up on the busy street where cars are constantly driving up and down.
"Y/N, be careful." He says, almost whining that you can't just stay still next to him.
"Hwa, I'm fine."
"Are you?"
"Y-yes!" You giggle and pose as if he's taking a picture, only to lose your balance and stumble on your feet again. You laugh though, and it makes Seonghwa chuckle a bit when he grabs your arm and holds you close.
"Okay, yeah. You're right! Perfectly fine." He lies just so you're satisfied.
"Aw, see. I told you so." You scrunch your nose at him and continue to let him guide you to the car. "Hwa." You tug on his arm.
"Mhm?"
"Sannie is so cute." You pout. "He is so, so cute. I m-mean." You hiccup. "He's always been cute but he's so attractive now. Like prince charming." You say ever so smitten, and it makes Seonghwa wanna silently scream and punch the air right now. "Isn't he?!"
"Sure."
"Do you think he'd like me? We're just friends and he probably just—" You hiccup again. "Just sees me as a friend."
"I think he would."
"You're not just saying that because you're my bestfriend, right? You can tell me the truth. You hate Mingi and you tell me all the time."
"I always tell you the truth." He chuckles. "And I do hate Mingi. That has never changed. He's an asshole and doesn't treat you right."
"Would San treat me right? Would you like him? We've all been friends so you know him." Seonghwa sighs.
"He would. He's a really good guy."
"I knooooow." You pout. "But he wouldn't like me."
"He would."
"Would he actually?"
"Why not? You're beautiful inside and out, smart, funny. Fun to be around. You're a headache at times, but everything about you is worth it." He almost mumbles the last part hoping you wouldn't catch it. You do, but it doesn't bother Seonghwa as much knowing you won't remember shit tomorrow.
"Aw, pichu." You stop and look at him while he unlocks his car and swings the passenger door open for you. "You really mean that?" Your bottom lip looks like it's trembling and Seonghwa can't help but furrow his brows in confusion at you.
"Are you gonna cry?"
"Yeah." Your bottom lip pokes out even more and you actually do start crying.
"That wasn't meant to make you cry, Y/N. I'm just answering your question." He laughs as he wipes your tears, but you continue to cry, even as you drunkly plop onto the passenger's seat.
"It was so sweet, you're always so good to me. Sometimes." You sniff. "Well all the time. I feel like I don't deserve you."
"Don't say that."
"It's true."
"It's not, or else I wouldn't be here, right?" He looks at you just as he finishes buckling your seatbelt.
"Did you know?" You giggle with glazed, hooded eyes. "I wanted to marry you at some point. I couldn't see anyone else in my life the same way that I saw you and thought I'd end up marrying you." You snort and laugh loudly. "Kinda crazy isn't it? We would never date though so how could that even happen?" Seonghwa can't help but continue to look at you, even though at this point you've shut your eyes and started to lean back against the seat.
"Hm." Seonghwa hums. "I wouldn't say never."
"You're my bestfriend. We can't break up, remember? Ever. If we date, then ultimately we could get tired of each other and break up. A-and hate each other. It'll kill me." You mumble. "Even though I love you, I really, really love you, we promised not to break up or go there."
"Yeah." Seonghwa's heart shatters, the pieces falling to the pits of his stomach.
"Listen, even though I have this crush on Sannie, or I think I do, I don't know—" You giggle again as you tap his arm. "I want you to know that I'll always love you more than anyone or anything. Okay? You're always first!" Your eyes pop open to look at him. "My heart belongs to you and only you, Park Seonghwa!" You laugh and point at him cutely, shutting your eyes again to finally try and sleep this off.
"I love you, too." Seonghwa mutters as he drives off, but you're already sound asleep in the seat— head leaning near the window. He's not sure what to feel right now, and he'll probably never bring this up for your sake. He'll never bring it up though the thought will consume him.
But, did you really mean it? All of it?
He's hoping yes, but what is that gonna do for him? You're drunk. You won't remember this. He won't bring it up. Does this mean it's actually time for him to be honest before it's too late? Before San can sweep you off your feet for good and Seonghwa never gets the chance to tell you how much he truly loves you and adores you?
Before he just has to sit back and bury his feelings for good? All because he decided he couldn't tell you?
He'd hate to say you were the one that got away, especially when a whole new door just opened in front of his eyes. It's just a matter of him taking those steps.
Fuck.
Why do things have to be so complicated?
When he gets to your house, Yaya is sound asleep and all the lights are off. Seonghwa makes sure to open the side door and the door to your suite before coming back to his car to quietly unbuckle your seatbelt and carry you to your bed. You whimper and make a small noise when he lifts you, and he gently shushes you back to sleep— reassuring you that he was putting you to bed and that he'd be around if you needed him.
He lays you down, taking off your shoes and setting them aside before grabbing some clean clothes for you to change into later. He knows you'll probably get up in the middle of the night, especially with how drunk you were. He sets a glass of water near your bed side and places the trash can next to you just in case, before shutting all the curtains and changing into comfier clothes himself [the perks of you wearing his clothes home]. He lays down on your couch and throws the extra blanket over his body, taking a moment to scroll through his phone and text the boys before attempting to get some sleep.
Tumblr media
You do end up yacking that night, and it's not as slick as you had liked.
You abruptly woke up, suddenly feeling warm and like you needed some sort of release, feet quickly padding to the bathroom that you didn't notice Seonghwa asleep on your couch. You shut the door to the bathroom and instantly vomit into the bowl— all the alcohol and things you've eaten coming right back up. Seonghwa is already awake, though. He heard you shuffling over to the bathroom and knows exactly what's happening behind the door. He lets out a breath while walking to the bathroom, finding you head first into the toilet. He gently gathers your hair and pulls it back, rubbing your back as you let out another round into the bowl before flushing it away.
"Fuck." You say. "Really do regret not eating more." You spit into the bowl before flushing it once more and stand to wash up.
"Figured." Seonghwa smirks with a little chuckle. "You alright?" You nod as you begin to brush your teeth and get loads of mouthwash ready.
"I think I'll be okay now. I feel a bit better even though I'm kinda dizzy still." You look at him through your bathroom mirror. "Were you here the entire time?" Seonghwa yawns and nods as he leans against the door frame.
"Took your little drunk ass home and stayed here just in case."
"How many hours ago did we get home?"
"Probably like 2 or 3."
"How drunk was I?"
"Drunk enough."
"I didn't say stupid shit, did I?" You spit out the mouth wash and start to make your way outside to change into comfier clothes, still feeling disoriented.
"No, but you did manage to be all up on San." You gasp and cover your mouth, Seonghwa laughing as he plops back down onto your couch.
"The fuck, Seonghwa! Don't lie!" You smack him on the shoulder.
"I'm kidding. Kinda. You were dancing with him and Wooyoung, and you wouldn't stop talking about how cute he was." You start changing in the bathroom with the door open, listening to him go on about that.
"Did he hear?"
"No, you were still being a flirt though."
"Fucking christ." You mumble, hand to your forehead at the dull headache now present post-yack session. "No, I'm not thinking about this now." You lay back down and toss the sheets over your body. "Are you sure you're okay to sleep there?"
"Mhm. Not like I haven't before."
"We've also shared a bed without issues." Seonghwa pauses, swallowing the lump in his throat. Can he really share a bed with you the same way he used to? Especially after you just blurted out that your heart belonged to him? Whether it was the truth, or for shits and giggles— he can't just share a bed with you and keep his distance.
You fucking blurted out the L word.
You said you loved him; really, really loved him.
"It's okay. You should rest comfortably. You need it more than I do." You hum as you sink into your sheets and let the warmth envelope you. Seonghwa lets out a quiet sigh before returning his attention to his phone, waiting for the drowsiness to hit him again. His groupchat with the boys still seems to be active, so he scrolls through to catch up on the texts:
[hongjoong]: just got home after dropping these punks off
[hongjoong]: can't believe woo and san convinced me to go to another bar
[hongjoong]: hwa did you and y/n make it home okay?
[wooyoung]: did y/n yack her brains out? cause babygirl was drunk drunk
[san]: you guys, speaking of her
[san]: y/n is so fucking cute, i missed her a lot
[san]: she's really not seeing anyone right? because she's so pretty
[san]: maybe she'll finally give me a chance lol
[hongjoong]: you're drunk. sleep it off? lol
[san]: no i really mean it ☹️ she rarely paid attention to me before..
[hongjoong]: what are you talking about, she was always with us lol you guys always hung out??
[hongjoong]: please go to sleep
[wooyoung]: u better ask bodyguard seonghwa first, he might drop kick that ass
[san]: shit hwa i'm sorry, am i overstepping here??
Seonghwa is annoyed and he's irritated, but he won't say it. And he won't take it out on San because it's not his fault. It's not anyone's fault but Seonghwa's own. He chooses to keep this to himself and not do anything about it, so can he really mope around and sulk? You weren't his to claim. It was free game, and if it's gonna be anyone, he would want it to be San. Seonghwa would ultimately support you and San if it ever went down that route. That way, you wouldn't keep hurting yourself over Song Mingi, too.
Despite adoring you and loving you to bits, all he wants is for you to be genuinely happy. That's the most important thing here.
[seonghwa]: don't listen to wooyoung's dumbass, you don't needa tell me or ask me anything. y/n is her own person
[seonghwa]: and yeah joong we're fine
[seonghwa]: she did throw up but shes asleep now
[seonghwa]: i'm gonna take my exit, tired as hell
He sets his phone aside, turning inwards on the couch to try and catch some shut-eye. Though, he feels like at this point, he's probably not gonna have the best rest. He manages to fall asleep for the next couple of hours, tossing and turning every now and then until he finally decides to just call it quits and start his day. He washes up and tries to make himself look a little more presentable after the long night of tossing and turning. He folds the blankets and sets them aside, happy to see that you're still sound asleep deep under your covers. He grabs his keys and phone, deciding to make a run for some pho to bring back and share with you.
"Seonghwa." Yaya says as she waters her flowers in the garden. "You're here." She smiles.
"Mhm." He gestures towards your suite. "Brought her home after we all went out last night for San."
"Oh, that handsome boy. I'm so happy to hear he's back home." She stands and places her hand on her hip. "Was she okay?"
"Yeah, just drank quite a bit. She's okay though. Promise." Seonghwa smiles sweetly. "I'm gonna grab us some food before she wakes up."
"You're the sweetest boy I know." She cups his cheek.
"Do you need anything while I'm out, Yaya?" He asks as he's about to head out of the backyard's side door.
"No, Soyeon, Junseo and Charli are coming over soon. You're gonna be here, right? Charli would be so sad if she missed you."
"Yeah, I'll be here." He chuckles. "Be back."
With that, Seonghwa heads off to the small Vietnamese restaurant that you, your family and his family have come to love. It's a bit of a drive from your place, but he doesn't mind. The restaurant is owned by a lovely middle-aged couple who has seen you and Seonghwa grow since your high school years. When Seonghwa calls, they know his voice— immediately starting on his order before he could say anything and asking for him to swing by as soon as possible so they can see him.
So, that's what he does.
He sees them as soon as possible, walking into the store with a huge smile on his face while Mr. and Mrs. Dao happily wave him over with a huge bag of food nearby on the counter. He stands near the counter to engage in small talk for a bit, giving them cash with extra tip for all the good food they've packed for him [and you].
"Where is our girl?" Mrs. Dao asks, tying the knot securely on the bag.
"Asleep and hungover." She laughs, handing the bag over. "Gotta make sure she gets some food in her system."
"That's sweet of you." She smiles at him.
"How's your family? How's Y/N and hers?" Mr. Dao asks him, wiping his hand on his apron.
"They're all good. I'll tell them you guys said hello." They nod.
"I packed some spring rolls and extra peanut sauce in there. I know those are her favorite." Mrs. Dao whispers.
"Thank you." Seonghwa winks before waving one last time and walking out of the door.
As promised, when he arrives, Soyeon, Junseo and Charli are over. Seonghwa steps out of his car with the bag of food, a screaming Charli running towards him from down the hallway. She barrels through her own mom and dad to get to him quickly, with Seonghwa having to set the bag on the island counter down to appropriately welcome her into his arms and swing her around.
"Uncle Hwa! Uncle Hwa!" She screams repeatedly.
"Charli, please. You don't have to scream." Soyeon chuckles a bit.
"Chacha." Seonghwa taps the tip of her nose before she giggles and snuggles her head into the crook of his neck. "I missed you. Where have you been?" He asks teasingly.
"Preschool! With friends!"
"Aw, you've been making friends? That's good."
"Hwa, don't let that child lie to you." Soyeon adds. "She's so mean and sassy. There was this kid who wanted to sit next to her and she kicked her foot out so he wouldn't." Junseo laughs.
"Wonder who she gets that attitude from?" Junseo chimes in.
"Can't forget that one time we took her to the park and another kid wanted to play with her, but Chacha held up a stick so they wouldn't get close to her." Seonghwa laughs at Junseo's story before he rubs at Charli's back.
"Aw pea, you can't do that."
"I don't!"
"Mhm. Now she wants to act all sweet and innocent cause you're here." Soyeon crosses her arm and nods at the bag. "Long night for Y/N, I'm assuming."
"You could say that." He continues to hold Charli against his hip while grabbing at the bag. "Hey, let's go wake up Auntie Y/N?" She happily nods as Seonghwa walks off to the suite. As expected, you're still deep under your covers, messy hair the only thing peeking out from under. "Go wake her up, Chacha." He says lowly, putting her down so that she can run to the bed and wake you [rather aggressively].
"Titi Y/N! Titi Y/N! Wakey wakey!" Seonghwa chuckles to himself as he sets the food out on your coffee table, grabbing two bowls for you both.
"Oh my god, Chacha. Please." You groggily say as she bounces on your bed. "How are you even in here right now?"
"Uncle Hwa! He has food so you need to eat now." You would've thought she was grown with that attitude, you think. You chuckle as you rub at your eyes and sit up, giving your niece a proper bear hug and cuddle.
"Thank you, pea." You give her a kiss on the side of the head before you get up to wash up and get yourself ready for the day. Once you've freshen up, you do feel a bit better, though your tummy still feels unsettled so Seonghwa's timing is perfect.
Like always.
You plop next to him on the floor, while Chacha welcomes herself on his criss-crossed lap. He pushes the container of spring rolls and the huge bowl of pho towards you since he's already had his first helping, eyes glued on your TV even though it's just the Secret Life of Pets [probably by Chacha's choosing].
"Thank you, Hwa." His big eyes dart to you before he gives you a small smile and slurps his noodles.
"Course." He feeds some to Chacha when she politely asks for a bite. "You feeling okay?"
"Yeah, a bit. This will help majorly." You slurp the soup.
"Chacha! Let's go! I told you we were only stopping by for a bit!" Soyeon calls from outside.
"No, mama! I wanna stay with Auntie Y/N and Uncle Hwa." She whines loudly, on the verge of an actual breakdown as she stands in between you two.
"Hey Chacha, remember? We're gonna spend some time together soon while mama and papa are away." You pull her close to you and brush the hair out of her face. "Just me and you. Uncle Hwa too." She nods, a tear falling from her eye as she pouts. Seonghwa has to look away because he's finding that the more he's fixated on this scene, the more he imagines a future like this with you.
And he can't do that to himself.
"Okay." She mumbles with the pout still on her face. You continue to brush her hair back and wipe the straggling tears before standing.
"Say bye to Uncle Hwa." You dust down your clothes as Charli throws her hands around his neck for a tight hug.
"Bye cutiepie." She giggles before taking your hand and meeting her mom and dad outside in the backyard.
"Swear, she's so stuck on Seonghwa." You laugh and hug Junseo.
"Can't blame her."
"Well, good to know you're alive. And not at Mingi's." You roll your eyes.
"Always ruining the moment. Leave." Soyeon sticks her tongue out and waves.
"I'll call you later to talk more about the trip. Gotta prepare!" She says in an excited tone, one where you can't help but laugh a bit and shake your head.
"Yeah, whatever. I'm charging you double this time." You call out before giving one last wave and heading back into your suite. Seonghwa is still seated on the ground, but he's drinking water and has his bowl pushed aside. "You're not gonna eat more?"
"No, go for it. It's mainly yours. Mrs. Dao gave you spring rolls and extra peanut sauce on the house."
"Aw, I love her. She's so sweet." You take a bite into one. "What're you gonna do today?" He shrugs.
"Probably hang out at Joong's or San's." He looks at you. "Why?"
"Can I come?"
"No?"
"Why not?" You whine playfully, knowing you don't actually wanna join their weird little boy party.
"Because all you're gonna do is flirt with San and we have important business to take care of." You snort and laugh loudly.
"No I'm not! And important business? Like fucking yelling at each other during a game of FIFA?"
"No."
"Right." You roll your eyes. "I'm kidding, I don't wanna join in your sad little no girls allowed party."
"Girls are allowed." He smirks. "Just not you."
"You really are such a dick to me sometimes." He laughs, blocking the pillow from hitting his face.
"What, and you aren't a brat to me?"
"I beg to differ."
"If only you knew." He snorts, pinching your cheek. "I'm just joking, you know I am. You're always welcome to come."
"No, I really don't wanna go. Was just teasing." You finish up your food.
"What're you gonna do then?"
"Work at the restaurant and serve some middle-aged men their beer and food while they ogle at me." You joke and he winces.
"Mmkay well, have fun with that." Seonghwa stands and cleans up his trash before wiping your table down thoroughly. "Make sure to invite me to the wedding or else I'll be pissed."
"You're full of shit, Hwa." He groans when he sees a drop of peanut sauce land onto the surface that he's just cleaned. "Oops."
"I swear to God." He sighs, cleaning it again before shaking his head.
"You love me."
"I beg to differ." He mocks you just as he washes his hands and stretches. "Alright, well I'm out. Get some more rest before you head to the restaurant, you look kinda torn up." He ruffles your hair, causing you to smack his hand away and flip him off.
"Fuck you, get out." He chuckles as he heads out the door and leaves you to your peace.
When Seonghwa gets to his place, he manages to tidy up a bit, shower and throw on some fresh clothes before calling Hongjoong to see what the consensus was for the meeting place. Hongjoong ends up telling him that they're all on their way to San's, giving Seonghwa the green light to head over as well.
On his way over, he tries to push his thoughts to the back of his mind. He tries his hardest not to overthink, not to focus too much on all the stuff that's happened.
The stuff you said.
He knows it's probably just you being drunk and babbling all this mess, especially now that you're finding interest in San. But as with everyone says, the drunk mind speaks sober thoughts.
Was there some kind of truth to it?
Did you really see him that way at some point?
Is there a part of you that still feels that way?
"What's wrong with you?" Seonghwa looks at Wooyoung in slight disgust as he steps aside and lets him in.
"Nothing. Just didn't wanna see you first."
"You're an asshole." Wooyoung laughs. "How does Y/N deal with you? She's so sweet and fun, everything you're not—" Hwa smacks him upside the head. "Ow, see!" Wooyoung continues to complain.
"Speaking of her, how's Y/N?" San eagerly asks as he sits next to Hongjoong on the couch, continuing his journey on Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
"All of a sudden." Hongjoong snorts.
"She's good. Recovering from her night, I guess. She's going to work soon."
"Mm. Glad she survived."
"What have you guys been up to?" Seonghwa plops onto the beanbag and scrolls through his phone, finally letting out a breath of relief after his night. At least he could relax and chill out here.
"Just hanging out. Trying to figure out what to eat." Hongjoong looks at him. "You eat already?"
"Yeah, I went to grab some pho for Y/N."
"Okay, thanks for the invite."
"You can take care of yourself." Seonghwa snaps back at Wooyoung, making him mock Hwa in return.
"Aye, are you guys down to head to the mall in a bit? We can just grab food there." San asks, eyes still focused on the TV.
"Why do you need to go to the mall?"
"I just wanna buy some new clothes."
"For what?" Hongjoong chuckles.
"Listen, I haven't been around for awhile, okay? I started cleaning out a few things from my closet for donations. Plus, I haven't treated myself in a long time cause I've been so focused on the program and what not."
"Mm okay, so what's the real reason?" Wooyoung asks, chomping onto a banana. Seonghwa glances at San from his seat, taking note of how his cheeks and ears turn red and how he's suddenly getting shy. Nervous, even.
And he's not sure how to feel. He has a feeling he might know exactly where this is going, and he's hoping he's wrong. Maybe overthinking. Jumping to conclusions.
"I definitely wanna take Y/N to dinner and catch up with her. See where this goes.." San trails off, causing Seonghwa to pause mid-text— trying his very hardest not to make it too entirely obvious that his heart has dropped from the statement, equally sad and annoyed by the entire situation [for his own selfish reasons].
Fuck.

Hey! If your taking requests, I love your work so much and I had an idea I would really love to see how you execute it.
So it would be with Tony Stark, and if its okay Male!Reader, but not romantic, the reader is a teen who is a product of some old fling Tony had and after being poorly taken care of by his mom (whatever that inclines you to write, abuse, bad boyfriend, alcoholism etc.) She dumps him off at stark tower with a note and what little belongings the reader has and his birth certificate to Tony for him to take care of. And the rest of what happens from there is up to you! Basically heavy on the found family troupe, and a little angst with some good fluff. The reader can be from 16-18 still in high school. He has Tony's sarcastic humor and smarts, but he nodes his intelligence because his mom never really helped him appreciate it, basically one of those kids that gets straight A's without seemingly trying and looking kind of stupid, the reader is quiet and a bit cold but that's because of how he was raised, and isn't one to share how he's feeling. If you can do this I'd be so thankful, if not its completely understandable, I hope I gave you enough creative liberty to make it fun, I know it'll be great if you do write it! Again I love your fics so much and I can't wait to read more of what you have!!💜☺

Your whole life, you’ve never known stability. The cramped apartments, the ever-shifting walls painted in hues of desperation, are as familiar to you as your own skin. You’re seventeen now, but you still feel like you’re stuck in this never-ending carousel of uncertainty and survival. Your mom—who’s always been more into herself than anyone else—has a way of shoving her problems under the rug, sweeping you along with the mess until you’re barely holding it together.
Her boyfriend—if you could even call him that—is the latest problem. Travis is the kind of guy who doesn’t need to say much to make his point clear. It’s in the way he takes up space, fills every room with his presence, making himself the center of your lives as if it’s his right. He started coming around when you were fourteen, and it’s only gotten worse. You know he hates you, and he doesn’t even try to hide it. To him, you’re a nuisance, some extra baggage he never asked for, and he’s got no problem reminding you of that. Your sarcasm and quick wit, the things that make you, you, are just more reasons for him to snap, roll his eyes, or call you ungrateful.
Your mom’s always been…complicated. You’ve known that since you were little, watching her go from one relationship to another, always searching for some kind of validation she never seems to find. She calls herself a free spirit, but it’s like she’s just drifting, lost in a fog of her own making. She can be fun, sure, when things are good. There were even moments when you thought she really loved you. But as time went on, you learned to read the signs: the distant glances, the subtle irritations, the way she avoids looking at you for too long, as if you’re some kind of mirror she doesn’t want to face.
It’s your intelligence that bugs her the most, you think. You see through her, every lie, every excuse, every careless decision. And she knows it. It’s like looking into a warped mirror—she can see pieces of herself in you, but you’re everything she’s never been: sharp, observant, with a mind that doesn’t let things slide. And it grates on her.
The fights get worse as you grow older, each one escalating faster than the last. Your sarcasm is your armor, your way of dealing with the endless cycle of disappointment. But every quip, every clever retort, only makes her angrier. You can tell she hates that she can’t control you, can’t manipulate you the way she does with everyone else in her life. She calls you difficult, a burden, a mistake she should’ve never had. You don’t let it show, but each word leaves a scar, another reminder that you’re on your own.
Then one day, it’s too much. Travis and your mom are fighting—again. It’s loud, voices echoing in the small apartment, and you’re in your room, trying to block it out like usual. But this time, you hear your name. You’ve been in this situation enough to know that’s never a good sign. So, you stay quiet, waiting, listening.
“You know he’s not even mine, right?” Travis snaps, his voice dripping with frustration. “Why do I have to put up with this kid? He’s not my responsibility!”
“You think I don’t know that?” Your mom’s voice is strained, like she’s barely holding on herself. “I’ve tried—God, I’ve tried—but he’s just…he’s too much. I can’t handle it anymore.”
There’s a pause, and for a second, you think maybe she’ll say something else, something that makes it sound like she cares. But the words never come.
“Then get rid of him,” Travis says, so bluntly that it leaves a chill in the air. “You’ve got the kid’s birth certificate. Drop him off at his real dad’s. He’s rich, isn’t he? Let him deal with the brat.”
You don’t move. You barely breathe. But deep down, you already know this is it. There’s no fighting it this time, no clever comment to deflect what’s happening. She’s made her choice, and it’s not you.
The next morning, she’s silent as she hands you an envelope. There’s no apology, no excuse, just a look that tells you she’s already gone, checked out of whatever shred of motherhood she once claimed to have. You don’t even ask where youre going; you know the answer as soon as you see the address on the piece of paper.
Stark Tower.
It feels like a final act of cruelty, really. The man she’s always refused to talk about, the one figure in your life who’s only ever been a name, and now he’s your last option. Tony Stark. Genius, billionaire, Avenger. And, apparently, your father.
You stand outside Stark Tower with a single bag of your things and that stupid piece of paper—the birth certificate that’s somehow supposed to mean you’re his problem now. You feel like you’re stuck in some cosmic joke, a punchline to a story you didn’t even know you were a part of. There’s no going back, though. That’s clear enough.
So, you take a deep breath, adjust your bag on your shoulder, and walk through the doors.
Tony doesn’t even get a chance to process it at first. One moment he’s sipping coffee in his lab, deep in the flow of something unnecessarily complex that’s keeping his mind busy, and the next, Pepper is calling him down to the lobby. She sounds irritated, stressed—like maybe it’s his fault, which Tony wouldn’t be surprised by, honestly. He heads down, muttering about "another hero here to tell me how to do my job."
Then he sees you.
You’re leaning against the glass wall, wearing an expression that’s somehow familiar yet entirely alien to him. It’s not hard to recognize the mix of defiance and exhaustion in your eyes; he’s spent years perfecting that look himself. But the shock doesn’t really hit until you hand him the birth certificate. Your name and his, right there in black and white, unavoidably real.
For once in his life, Tony Stark is speechless.
“Seventeen years,” he mutters, mostly to himself. “And now you’re here because…?”
You shrug, clearly unimpressed. “Mom didn’t want me anymore, and apparently, you’re my dad. So… here I am. Congratulations.”
You’re blunt, almost cruel in the way you say it, like you don’t expect anything from him and don’t care if you get it. But he can’t look away from you. For the first time in a long time, he’s out of his depth. He’s had seventeen years to know this was possible, maybe even inevitable, but standing in front of you, he realizes he’s never prepared himself for this. He’s never thought about what it would mean to actually be a father.
Yet here you are, standing in front of him with your mother’s words still hanging over you, and he can see the weight you carry in the way your shoulders are always tense, the way your eyes don’t quite meet his.
“Well, kid,” he says after a beat, plastering on his most confident smile, “looks like you’ve officially joined the Stark family. There’s no going back now.”
Over the next few days, Tony throws himself into fatherhood with all the enthusiasm of someone tackling a new, challenging invention. He’s reading parenting books, taking advice from anyone who’ll give it, and trying desperately to crack the code of how to be a “cool dad.” He lets you explore Stark Tower freely, offers you access to his entire workshop, and even builds you a custom tablet, “Stark-style,” he brags, with enough advanced tech to impress even the most skeptical teenager.
He talks to you about science, testing your knowledge and realizing with a mix of pride and horror that you’re nearly as sharp as he was at seventeen. He tries to make jokes, throwing out sarcastic one-liners he assumes will win you over. Sometimes, he even manages to get a smirk out of you. But that’s as far as it ever goes.
Every attempt he makes is met with your icy wall, a defense mechanism built after years of disappointment and neglect. You listen, nod occasionally, but never laugh or even show interest. The most he ever gets out of you is a dry, deadpan “cool,” which is enough to keep him going but never enough to satisfy him.
Tony tries not to take it personally, but it’s hard. You’re right there, his kid, yet you’re worlds away, keeping him at arm’s length as if he’s just another adult you can’t trust. He catches glimpses of the sarcasm, the intelligence, but it’s wrapped up in layers of resentment and guarded detachment. You’re always cool, always distant, and he knows why, but that doesn’t make it any easier.
One evening, he sits you down with a grin, tossing a shiny, compact device into your hands. It’s sleek, metallic—one of his newer designs.
“Mini reactor prototype. You’d be the first to use it.” He says it with pride, like he’s giving you something no one else in the world could get.
You look at it for a moment, then at him. “Cool,” you say again, but your voice is flat, unimpressed. You set it on the table between you without another glance.
Tony’s grin falters, and he lets out a frustrated laugh. “You’re a tough crowd, you know that?”
You just shrug, giving him that practiced blank stare he’s come to know well. He’s finally reaching his breaking point. “Y’know, I’m trying here,” he says, exasperated. “I’m trying to… I don’t know, connect. Be… whatever it is you need me to be. But you’re acting like I’m just another stranger.”
You pause, considering him for a moment, and something shifts in your expression—like maybe, for just a second, you see his effort. But then your face goes neutral again, back to that familiar shield.
“Maybe that’s because you are,” you reply, voice quiet, almost too soft for him to hear.
Tony feels the blow, but he hides it with a forced chuckle. “Fair enough,” he says, though there’s a sting in his voice. “I can’t change the past, but… I’m here now. I’m not gonna just… walk away.”
The words linger between you, both of you knowing the weight they carry. You’ve heard promises like this before. You’ve heard them from your mother, from people who were supposed to care, and each one of those promises had turned hollow, leaving you more alone than before. So, when Tony looks at you with genuine sincerity, with a hope that you’ll give him a chance, all you can do is nod, burying any flicker of vulnerability.
As the weeks go on, Tony keeps trying. He brings you into the lab with him, walks you through his latest projects, even lets you experiment with some of the tech yourself. He drags you to burger joints at midnight, tries to coax out stories about school, hobbies, anything. Sometimes you let your guard slip, offering a sarcastic remark, a comment that makes him laugh—but the moment always passes too quickly, and you’re back behind that wall before he can push any further.
He’s persistent, though, and there’s a part of you that almost wants to give in, that wants to believe him. But your trust is a muscle you haven’t used in so long, it feels impossible to start now. So, you keep him at bay, deflecting his kindness, giving him just enough to satisfy his efforts without letting him in.
Tony doesn’t quit, though. He keeps showing up, every day, every night, and for the first time in your life, you don’t feel like someone’s just waiting for the moment they can leave.
Every morning, Tony insists on driving you to school, and it’s nothing short of a spectacle. He shows up outside Stark Tower in one of his many luxury cars, honking loudly, practically begging for attention. It’s become a routine, one you can’t escape no matter how many times you roll your eyes or tell him he doesn’t have to do it. He’s always got some snarky excuse, saying things like, “It’s my job as a dad,” or “I just want to see the kid off,” as if anyone believes he actually cares about high school protocol.
And everyone notices. Whispers trail behind you as you walk the halls, classmates you’ve known for years suddenly gawking at you like you’re a different person. They don’t know you as you anymore; they know you as Tony Stark’s kid. It’s suffocating. You’ve spent your entire life trying to stay unnoticed, to blend into the background. Now, no matter where you go, everyone’s waiting for you to crack a joke like him, to show off some kind of Stark-level genius.
Only one person seems to still see you, really see you—your best friend, Sam. You’ve known him since middle school, back when everything was simpler, when no one knew or cared who your dad was. He’s the only one who doesn’t treat you any differently now, the only person you actually trust enough to talk to about any of this.
One afternoon, you’re sitting outside on the bleachers with Sam, trying to ignore the fact that Tony’s car is already parked by the curb, waiting for you. The other students eye it like some exotic animal they don’t quite understand, but you keep your head down, just hoping the day will end without any more awkward questions or judgmental stares.
Sam nudges you. “So, uh… you still giving the old man the cold shoulder, huh?”
You sigh, avoiding his gaze. “I’m not giving him the cold shoulder. I’m just… keeping my distance.”
He rolls his eyes. “Dude, I see you with him every morning. The man looks like he’s about to recite the Gettysburg Address just to get a smile out of you. And you’re over here acting like he doesn’t exist.”
You shift uncomfortably, crossing your arms. “He’s only doing it because he feels obligated, Sam. It’s Tony Stark. He doesn’t actually care about me.”
Sam raises an eyebrow. “You really believe that? You think he’s the kind of guy who’d waste his time on someone he doesn’t care about?”
You don’t answer, but you can feel Sam’s eyes on you, cutting through all your defenses. He’s always been able to read you better than anyone, and right now, that’s the last thing you want.
“He’s trying, Y/N,” Sam continues, his voice softer. “Like, really trying. And I get it. I get that you’ve been burned, but… maybe give him a chance? Just talk to him. It’s not like he’s gonna run off if you tell him what’s going on.”
You look away, jaw clenched as you try to shake off the knot of emotion tightening in your chest. You don’t want to admit that Sam might be right. Letting someone in, giving someone a chance—that’s always been a dangerous game, one you’re not sure you can afford to play again.
That night, you’re lying awake in your room, staring at the ceiling, Sam’s words playing on a loop in your mind. The silence around you feels heavy, pressing down on you, and you can’t shake the feeling that maybe, just maybe, you owe Tony more than you’ve been giving him. You’ve seen his effort, the way he tries to connect with you, even when you push him away. He’s there, every day, waiting for you, and no one has ever done that before.
Something shifts in you, a kind of tired resignation, and before you can talk yourself out of it, you get up and head downstairs to his workshop.
Tony’s hunched over a table, tinkering with some gadget, and he barely notices you at first. It’s only when you clear your throat that he looks up, surprise flickering across his face before he masks it with a smile.
“Hey, kid,” he says, setting down his tools. “Couldn’t sleep?”
You shrug, suddenly feeling the weight of what you’re about to say. “Yeah, I just… I wanted to talk to you about something.”
He raises an eyebrow, a mixture of curiosity and concern on his face. He gestures to a nearby chair. “Go ahead. I’m all ears.”
You sit, staring at your hands as you try to find the right words. For a long time, there’s only silence between you, the air thick with tension. Finally, you take a deep breath, forcing yourself to speak.
“I know I’ve been… difficult,” you begin, your voice barely above a whisper. “And I know you’re trying. It’s just… it’s not easy for me.”
Tony watches you intently, not interrupting, his expression softer than you’ve ever seen it. You look down, focusing on your hands, the words spilling out before you can stop them.
“When I was a kid, my mom was all I had. I thought… I thought she cared about me, even if she didn’t always show it. But she changed, especially after she started seeing this guy. Travis. He wasn’t… he wasn’t a good person, Tony. He… he made sure I knew I wasn’t wanted.” Your voice breaks slightly, but you push through it, feeling the old wounds tear open. “He told me I was a burden, that I was just in the way. And my mom, she… she just let it happen. She barely even looked at me by the end.”
Tony’s face darkens, his jaw clenched as he listens, but he stays silent, letting you continue.
“I learned not to trust people,” you say, voice wavering. “Every time I thought someone would stick around, they didn’t. So I stopped… I stopped letting people in. I told myself it was easier that way.”
You look up at him, and for the first time, there’s no mask, no shield—just raw vulnerability, something you haven’t allowed yourself to feel in years.
“And then I showed up here,” you say, your voice barely a whisper now. “And you… you keep trying. You keep showing up, every day, like you actually care. And it’s… it’s confusing, okay? Because part of me wants to believe it, but the other part…” You trail off, wiping away a tear that slips down your cheek.
Tony doesn’t hesitate. He reaches over, placing a hand on your shoulder, grounding you, letting you know he’s there. “Y/N,” he says softly, his voice rough with emotion. “I can’t change what you went through. I can’t go back and fix it, as much as I wish I could. But I’m here now, and I’m not going anywhere.”
You meet his gaze, and there’s something in his eyes that you’ve never seen before—a fierce, unwavering resolve that feels almost foreign. You swallow hard, feeling the weight of his words sink in, feeling the tiniest flicker of hope spark to life.
“It’s not easy for me,” you murmur. “It’s… it’s hard for me to trust people. And I know I’m not the easiest person to be around. But… I want to try. I want to believe you. I just… I need you to be patient with me. I need you to not give up on me.”
Tony nods, his hand still resting on your shoulder, steady and reassuring. “Hey,” he says, his voice breaking a little. “I’m not giving up on you, kid. Not now, not ever. You’re my son, and I’m here for the long haul. However long it takes, okay?”
The words settle around you, a warmth you haven’t felt in years. You don’t have to say anything; he seems to understand, giving your shoulder a reassuring squeeze before he lets go. And in that moment, something in you softens, just a little, like maybe you can let him in.
For the first time, you allow yourself to believe him, to believe that maybe he really won’t walk away. And even though the walls around your heart don’t come down all at once, you feel them start to crack, piece by piece, letting a little light seep in.
After that night, things start to change. It’s slow, gradual, like thawing ice, but there’s a noticeable shift between you and Tony. You’re still guarded, still wary of letting him all the way in, but he doesn’t push. He just keeps showing up, every day, every night, just like he promised. And slowly, piece by piece, you let him in.
The first time you ask to work on something together, Tony practically beams. You’re sitting at the kitchen counter with your physics homework in front of you—normally a breeze, something you’d get done in a few minutes. But today, you’ve left a few problems untouched, hoping he’ll notice.
Sure enough, Tony glances over your shoulder and raises an eyebrow. “Need a hand with that?” he asks, and there’s a careful lightness to his voice, like he’s trying to keep things casual, so he doesn’t scare you off.
You shrug, trying to act indifferent. “Sure, if you’ve got time,” you say, even though both of you know you could solve this on your own without breaking a sweat. But Tony doesn’t call you out on it. He just grabs a chair, pulls it over, and sits down next to you, leaning in to look at your work.
For the next hour, the two of you go over formulas and theories, his explanations coming with a few sarcastic quips and exaggerated hand gestures. Every so often, he goes off on a tangent, telling you stories about his own time in high school or sharing a strange fact he thinks will help you remember a concept. You listen, half-smiling at his antics, and eventually even throw in a few of your own sarcastic comments. You can tell he’s trying not to make a big deal out of it, but there’s a spark in his eyes that tells you he’s thrilled to be here, helping you, no matter how small the reason.
As the days go by, you find yourself spending more and more time in Tony’s workshop. It becomes your safe space, the place where you don’t feel like you have to hide or put up walls. Tony lets you explore, handing you tools and explaining how they work, guiding you through his more complicated inventions. It’s like learning a new language, one he’s eager to teach you, and he’s a surprisingly patient teacher.
One afternoon, he’s working on a new suit upgrade, and you’re watching, silently impressed by how smoothly he moves, how every action is precise and practiced. You’re deep in thought when he glances over at you, smirking.
“Thinking of joining the family business?” he jokes, tossing you a wrench. “If you’re interested, I could always use an extra pair of hands.”
You catch the wrench, feeling a rare, genuine smile tug at the corners of your mouth. “Maybe I will,” you say, feeling a rush of warmth that’s unfamiliar but not unwelcome.
He shows you how to tighten a piece of armor plating, explaining each step with a casual ease that you find yourself getting lost in. There’s something oddly comforting about the way he talks, like he’s sharing a secret only the two of you understand. And as you work, side by side, you realize that you actually look forward to these moments, the quiet companionship that comes from working together on something you both enjoy.
One evening, you catch yourself staring at your chemistry textbook, pages open to a particularly dull section on thermodynamics. Normally, you’d power through it on your own, but tonight, you feel the familiar tug of loneliness creeping in, and before you know it, you’re on your feet, heading down to Tony’s lab.
When you reach the doorway, he looks up, surprised, then quickly wipes the expression off his face and pretends to be engrossed in his latest project. “What’s up?” he asks, as casually as he can manage.
You hold up the textbook, pretending to be annoyed. “This stuff is terrible. Thought maybe you could explain it better than my teacher does.”
Tony raises an eyebrow, clearly amused. “Well, I’m honored to know you think so highly of my teaching skills.” He gestures for you to sit down, and as you do, he starts flipping through the pages of your book. “Thermodynamics, huh? You sure you’re not just here for the riveting conversation?”
You roll your eyes. “Don’t flatter yourself.”
But you both know the truth, and there’s an unspoken understanding between you as he dives into the material. He doesn’t just lecture; he makes it a story, breaking down each concept with analogies, acting out scenarios, and throwing in enough jokes to keep you both entertained. You throw in questions just to keep him talking, just so you don’t have to go back to your empty room just yet.
And somewhere along the way, you realize you’re not just learning about science. You’re learning about him—about his quirks, his sense of humor, the way he lights up when he’s talking about things he’s passionate about. He’s not just Tony Stark, billionaire genius, Iron Man. He’s… Tony, your dad, someone who, against all odds, actually seems to care about you.
Over time, you both fall into a rhythm. Tony starts waiting for you in the mornings, holding out a cup of coffee or hot chocolate, claiming he needs company on his drive to work. You never say it, but you look forward to those mornings, the way he fills the car with stories about his latest projects or about old college pranks he pulled that make you laugh in spite of yourself.
One day, you’re both hunched over a set of schematics in his lab, tossing ideas back and forth as you brainstorm a new design for a stabilizer that could potentially improve flight control in his suits. You’re getting so into it that you forget to be guarded, throwing out suggestions, bouncing thoughts off each other in rapid-fire succession.
At one point, Tony stops, leaning back in his chair to look at you with a smirk. “You know,” he says, a touch of pride in his voice, “you’re pretty damn good at this. Got that Stark brain for sure.”
You feel a warmth spread through you, and for the first time, you don’t brush it off. “Maybe,” you say, smiling despite yourself. “But I guess it helps when you have a good teacher.”
Tony chuckles, but there’s a glimmer of emotion in his eyes, something raw and unguarded. “Yeah, well… you’re not a bad student either.”
There’s a moment of silence as the two of you look at each other, an understanding passing between you that doesn’t need words. You know he’s trying, and somehow, that knowledge makes the walls around your heart crumble just a little bit more.
A few days later, you’re working on homework in the living room when Tony walks in, holding a set of blueprints he’s obviously excited about. But when he sees you bent over your books, he pauses, a mischievous grin spreading across his face.
“Hey, need some help?” he asks, raising an eyebrow.
You look up, raising an eyebrow back at him. “With calculus? Pretty sure I’ve got this covered.”
He shrugs, feigning offense. “I’ll have you know I was quite the calculus prodigy back in the day.”
“Oh, yeah?” You smirk, half-teasing. “Care to prove it?”
Tony grins, and before you know it, he’s pulled up a chair, leaning over your work with the same intensity he brings to his inventions. You pretend to need help with a few problems, and he’s more than happy to guide you through them, throwing in jokes and sarcastic comments the whole way. Every so often, he nudges your shoulder, grinning like he’s just scored a victory when he catches you smiling.
Eventually, he lets out an exaggerated sigh. “Well, I think we’ve both learned a lot today,” he says, stretching dramatically.
“Yeah,” you reply, smirking. “Like the fact that you’re worse at calculus than I am.”
Tony gapes, clutching his chest in mock hurt. “Unbelievable. Betrayed by my own son. This is a new low.”
You chuckle, shaking your head, and for the first time, it feels easy. Comfortable. Like maybe, just maybe, you don’t have to keep fighting him off.
“Hey,” Tony says, his tone shifting to something softer. “Thanks for letting me in. I know it wasn’t easy.”
You meet his gaze, feeling that familiar vulnerability creeping in, but this time, you don’t shy away. “Thanks for not giving up,” you reply quietly. “I know I’m not the easiest person to deal with.”
Tony chuckles, reaching over to ruffle your hair. “Nah, you’re a piece of cake. Besides, I’ve got a lot of time to make up for.”
You smile, a real one this time, feeling a warmth settle in your chest. For the first time, you allow yourself to hope that maybe, just maybe, things are going to be okay.
It’s supposed to be a routine mission. Just another intel-gathering run, in and out, with minimal risk. Tony had waved it off as no big deal before he left, throwing you a smirk and saying, “Just another day in the office.” But that was hours ago. And now, as you sit in the dim glow of the living room, watching the news report blaring on the screen, dread twists deep in your gut.
You watch the shaky footage of Iron Man fighting, and this time, it’s different. He’s outnumbered, missiles tearing through the air, beams of energy slicing through the smoke and chaos. The news anchor’s voice breaks as they report the intensity of the fight, how Iron Man was last seen plunging out of the sky after a heavy hit. For a terrifying moment, you catch a glimpse of him falling, his suit battered, smoking, before the feed cuts out entirely.
Your heart stops, and a painful tightness fills your chest. The hours that follow are a blur of pacing, every second dragging longer than the last. You’re used to him going out on missions, used to the danger that comes with being Tony Stark’s son. But this… this is different. This isn’t the usual playful bravado, the usual cocky promises that he’ll be home for dinner. This is life or death, and for the first time, you’re faced with the horrifying thought that he might not make it back.
After what feels like an eternity, the front door finally opens. You spin around, heart pounding, and there he is, looking worse for wear but alive. He’s moving a bit stiffly, his armor scratched and dented, his face smudged with dirt and a few new cuts. But he’s here.
Before he can say a word, you rush toward him, the flood of relief hitting you so hard that you barely register the fact that you’re moving, throwing yourself into his arms. Your grip is tight, like if you let go, he’ll disappear. You don’t even realize you’re trembling until you feel his arms close around you, holding you just as tightly.
“Hey, hey,” Tony says, his voice soft, touched with surprise but warm. “I’m okay, kid. I’m here.”
You pull back just enough to look at him, your eyes shining with unshed tears, and he’s looking at you with an expression so full of gentle understanding that it makes you feel like a kid again, vulnerable and desperate. Without thinking, the word slips out, raw and unguarded.
“Dad…” you whisper, voice breaking slightly, “don’t ever… don’t ever do that again. I thought… I thought I was going to lose you.”
Tony’s face softens, his own eyes welling up. He’s silent for a moment, as if he’s savoring the word, the weight of it finally hitting home. His hand comes up to rest on your shoulder, his grip firm but gentle, grounding you.
“I’m sorry,” he murmurs, his voice rough with emotion. “I didn’t mean to scare you like that. But I’m here, okay? I’m here, and I’m not going anywhere.”
You nod, the tears slipping down your cheeks now, and Tony pulls you in again, holding you tightly, his hand running gently over your back. It’s the first time you’ve let yourself fully embrace him, the first time you’ve allowed yourself to lean into his strength, to accept the warmth he’s been trying so hard to offer. And as you stand there, held in his arms, a sense of peace settles over you, soft and comforting, melting the last of your walls away.
After a long moment, he pulls back just enough to meet your gaze, a tear slipping down his own cheek as he smiles, eyes bright. “You called me ‘Dad,’” he says softly, his voice full of wonder, as if he’s just received the greatest gift in the world.
You give a small, watery smile, wiping at your eyes. “Yeah, well… don’t get used to it,” you mumble, but there’s no heat behind the words, only affection, only gratitude.
He chuckles, pulling you back into a hug, and you feel his hand rest on the back of your head, his grip firm and reassuring. “I’m already used to it,” he whispers, his voice thick with emotion. “And I’m not letting you go, kid. Not ever.”
In that moment, you realize that this is what home feels like—right here, safe in his arms, with nothing left to fear.

Hey, can I request a break up with Nanami, Gojo, and Geto? I'm in a mood for angst :')
⚘Breakup⚘
Tumblr media
Woah okay first time I’ve ever written smth like this so I’m excited! Thanks for the ask, have a good day/night!
Warnings: ummm breaking up with someone is sad y’all
Included: Nanami Kento, Gojo Satoru, Geto Suguru
Tumblr media
G.Satoru:
Tumblr media
Fights or arguments don’t really happen with Gojo
Because he doesn’t let them happen
When things get even the slightest bit heated, he avoids them
He erases them with clinginess and jokes, always brushing it off when he should definitely be serious
And this is one of many things that drew your relationship to its inevitable end
Not only was it his lack of ability to read the room, but also his dangerous job
With the privilege of being considered the ‘strongest’, that means the strongest enemies are after him as well
You cannot begin to count the amount of times he said he’d leave for a three day mission, only to be gone for an entire week with no further communication
There’s a large risk at hand with being even so much as associated with Gojo
Let alone being his romantic partner
A certain bounty has been placed on your head too, you’re sure.
And that is just dusting against the surface of the cracks that eventually took control of your relationship
And to be honest, he doesn’t take the break up that serious either
Not until you stop returning your calls and haven’t come home for a few hours
Maybe it’ll make him realize, but who knows?
N.Kento:
Tumblr media
Nanami is tricker than Gojo.
But in some regards, I believe he’s very similar
For Nanami is perceived, at least, to be a ‘simple’ man
For someone who hates work, who would much rather go on a long vacation,
He takes his occupation extremely seriously
Both his normal income job and his sorcerer work
And sometimes you truly felt he held his job before you, his partner
And sometimes, he would openly admit to taking priority elsewhere than with you
Which, in some cases understandable, still hurts
One time, later in your relationship, he has forgotten your anniversary
Well, he hadn’t forgotten it fully
But he didn’t celebrate in anyway, needing his hours at work
Nor did he intend to celebrate in anyway, even though much earlier to the date you told him you would like to
Unlike Gojo, the breakup is rather smooth
He simply and utterly refuses to leave on a bad note
And he will not only leave in good terms, but he wants to leave respectfully
But he will be in shock for a very long time afterwards
And he doubts the feeling of deep regret will leave anytime soon…
G.Suguru:
Tumblr media
I don’t think people really recognize how others are affected when someone begins to spiral
Not only is the person who is going through the hard time hurting and being drained, the person helping is drained too
And unfortunately, this is what happened to yours and Geto’s relationship
Seeing someone you care for so deeply begin this downward trajectory is hard
And you swore to be by his side through it all..
Until he began to do some things you didn’t exactly approve of
Once the count of dead began rising by his hand, you found yourself losing sympathy bit by bit
It’s a hard pill to swallow, it’s a difficult thing to accept
And it’s an even worse thing to end
To hang on to the hope that the old Suguru is simply trapped behind a mask of pain would be futile
It’s either accept unfortunate route his travelled down, or follow in your own beliefs
And even though you once thought you could help him wash his hands clean of blood,
There will always be a spot left unattended
And spots only grow until you no longer see skin
Only red.
He doesn’t actually believe you at first when you bring up leaving him
In fact, he says to your face he doesn’t believe you
Like Gojo, he assumes that after you calm down you’ll be running back to him
But you don’t
And there’s very few times he’s felt regret.
He has done everything in his power to make sure the word isn’t even in his vocabulary
But there’s that sting in his heart and that dizziness in his head
That can only be described as loss.

Why Her and Not Me?
Gojo Satoru x f!reader x ?? (Angst)
Here is part II! I have now decided to make this super extra angsty by adding a new companion! i hope you all enjoy~
Part I | Part III
Tumblr media
I woke up to the sound of someone banging on my front door. I groaned as I placed my pillow over my head, trying to ignore whoever it was.
Kuma jumped off of the bed, running towards the door as he was excited to see who the mysterious person was.
“Bitch, if you don’t open this damn door, I’ll kick it open!” A familiar voice yelled. You lifted your head, groaning as you wiped your face.
You slowly lifted yourself up, gazing into your mirror. The reflection staring back at you portrayed a complete wreck. Your eyes were swollen and red from crying, mascara severely smudged, streaking down your cheeks, and your hair was a disheveled mess.
You definitely would’ve scared any little kid that walked towards you.
“Y/n, ignore her. Please open the door.” A softer voice said.
You sighed and got up, groggily walking towards your door. Kuma jumped happily, his mini tail wagging back and forth as he awaited to see the person at the front door.
You opened it up and there they were.
“Finally, I was beginning to think something bad happened to you.” Shoko teased. However, before she said anything else, she got a good look at you and saw the condition you were in and instantly went into mom mode. She wrapped her arms around you, pulling you into her.
Damn it, here came the tears again.
"It’s okay, you can cry. It’s better than keeping it in,” she said, her voice gentle and reassuring. With a comforting gesture, she stepped aside to let Hime in.
A few tears escaped, trailing down your cheeks, a silent testament to the depth of your pain, as her words of encouragement offered a gentle release for the emotions you tried to hold back.
She rubbed your back in a soothing gesture, offering comfort and support as you let your tears fall, her touch a tangible reminder that you were not alone in your pain.
——
After a couple of minutes, you felt a small sense of relief wash over you, the weight of your emotions slightly lifted by the simple act of allowing yourself to cry and the comforting presence of your friend by your side.
I let go of the hug, thanking Shoko for it.
“We brought a bunch of food to eat and some of our favorite movies! We figured you needed a good distraction and figured what better way to do that than to watch some old movies!” Hime chimes in, holding up bags.
“Oh…and uh…we brought someone else. We were just going to make it a girls night, but he insisted that he joined in with us after we told him what happened to you.” Shoko said, making me tilt my head a bit.
“Who are you talking about?” I asked. Before she could answer, however, another voice was heard from behind you, making you turn around to see-
“Suguru?” You asked softly, surprised to see him. He looked down at you with a soft smile, holding his hand up.
“Hey…” he said softly. You took a good look at him and noticed that he was completely drenched. If finally dawned on you that it was still pouring rain outside. Your eyes widened at his current state and, without hesitation, you took his hand in your own, pulling him inside your house.
“You’re soaking wet, Suguru!” You exclaimed, running to your bathroom to get a towel.
“Here, take this. I have some clothes that you can wear…they used to be for Tor…well, you know.” You spoke, walking towards your extra bedroom to grab some clothes for Suguru. You found a pair of gray sweatpants and a large hoodie that would surely warm him up. You looked at the extra clothes that Toru left for whenever he came over to your house, feeling your heart tighten once more.
You inhaled and held your breath, trying to calm down. You looked up and pushed your tongue up against the roof of your mouth, desperately trying to force your tears back.
“For fucks sake, Get ahold of yourself, y/n!”
You thought, tears welling in your eyes. You couldn’t help but wonder what he was doing now, amidst the rainy weather. Had he confessed to Osaka yet? If so, how? Did he bring flowers? Did he take her out somewhere nice? Did he give her a meaningful speech about how much he loved her, or did he simply grab her and kiss her? The uncertainty gnawed at you, intensifying the ache in your chest as you pondered the ultimate question: Did she even return his feelings?
All of these ideas kept popping up in your head and it just made you feel worse. You wished today was all just some horrible nightmare that you could just wake up from. But alas, the day persisted in its tangible existence, devoid of the comforting embrace of a nightmare's fleeting illusion from which one could awaken unscathed.
As you stared at Torus clothes with dull and lifeless eyes, a knock on the guest door brought you back to your senses.
“Y/n? Is everything alright in there?” Shoko asked, worried about how long you were taking. You sniffled a bit, wiping your eyes with your hands, smudging your makeup even more.
“Y-Yeah. Just trying to find the right clothes for Suguru.” You called out.
“Can Hime and I grab something out of your closet? It’s getting cold.” She asked, making you look towards the door.
You held the clothes for Suguru in your arms, opening the guest bedroom door to get a good look at the two girls. They were both soaked as well! How could you not have noticed that! You felt even worse now that you didn’t see it when they first showed up.
“Oh my gosh, of course! I’m sorry, I didn’t even notice.” You said frantically, giving Suguru the clothes that were in your arms.
You then looked at the two girls and pushed them into your room at the end of the hall to dress in warmer clothes.
You opened up your closet and showed the girls the warm clothes you had.
“If you girls need a shower, too, feel free to take one.” You spoke, the guilt still building up inside of you.
“Just leave your clothes in the hamper. Once you two are dressed, I’ll wash and dry them afterwar-“
“Y/n, don’t worry about it. We can do it ourselves. It’s not the first time we’ve had to do laundry at your place!” Hime said, pushing you out of your room.
“Furthermore, today is dedicated entirely to you. We’re all here to uplift your mood and banish any thoughts of him whose name we shan’t mention! Shoko declared
“But-“
“No buts, n/n. Allow us to take care of you. We are determined to help.” Hime added.
“Now, you go talk to Suguru while we get dressed. Then, we can all lounge together and watch movies!” She said, giving you a smile.
You nodded, turning on your heels as you shut your door, giving them privacy.
You walked up to suguru, seeing him wearing the clothes you provided him. He was currently sitting on your couch, looking at all the movies Hime and Shoko brought. You looked at him and noticed his hair was still sopping wet. You grabbed another towel and helped dry his hair. His body tensed up a bit as he felt your hands through the towel, softly drying his hair.
“Do the clothes fit? I wasn’t sure what your exact size was, so I tried to grab something that was close. Are they comfortable? Not too clingy, are they? Are they warm enough? If not, I can always get you another-“
“Y/n, they are perfect. Thank you for letting me borrow them.” He said, trying to calm you down a bit.
“How long were you all even standing outside! Had I known you were coming over, I would’ve left the door unlocked.” You said, running the towel through his long and soft hair.
He chuckled, allowing you to continue.
“I think we were out there for about 30 minutes, but honestly, I was ready to wait for hours out there until you finally opened the door for us.” He said, loving the way your hands felt as they dried his hair.
“You guys didn’t need to come over anyways. I would’ve been fine.” You said, going to the bathroom and throwing the towel in the hamper.
“Yes we did.” He said, moving out of the couch and walking towards you.
You turned around and looked up at him, seeing how he towered over you.
“Y/n I-er we care about you. You mean a lot to me-us! You mean a lot to us. We couldn’t possibly just leave you alone when you’re in this state. What kind of friends would we be if we did that? Hmm?” He asked, looking down at you. He looked at your face, seeing the dried makeup that ran down your eyes.
He sighed quietly, looking down at your defeated figure. He went over and grabbed a soft wash cloth and gently held your face in his free hand.
You looked up at him with confusion, wondering what he was doing
“Let me help you.”
Suguru's voice was tender as he offered his assistance, his actions gentle and caring as he delicately removed the makeup from your face. With each stroke of the cloth, it felt as if he was wiping away not just the makeup, but also the burdens weighing on your heart. As the black pigment washed away, it was as though a barrier was being lifted, allowing you to breathe a little easier in his presence. It was a simple gesture, yet it spoke volumes about his concern and compassion for you in your time of need.
In the silence of the moment, you found yourself captivated by Suguru's focused attention and gentle movements. His eyes, filled with warmth and sincerity, met yours as he carefully tended to your face. Each stroke of the washcloth was precise yet tender, as if he were handling something incredibly fragile.
“You really don’t have to do this Suguru-“
“Of course I do.” He said plainly, going back to washing the makeup off your face.
“I hate seeing you like this.” He added. You looked back up at him, seeing his jaw tense up.
“I’m sorry.” You said, making him redirect his eyes towards you, his brows furrowing together.
“What are you apologizing for? You have no reason to.” He said.
“I’m sorry about all of this.” You said in a whisper like tone.
His gaze on you softened as he put the washcloth down. He made you look up at him, coming closer to you.
“Don’t ever apologize for something like that. You have every right to feel the way you feel right now. I can only imagine what pain you must be experiencing right now because of that idiot.” He said
Suguru's voice held a firmness that demanded attention, yet it was softened by the empathy underlying his words. His statement was a declaration of support and understanding, affirming the validity of your emotions and the depth of the pain you were enduring.
“When I said I hate seeing you like this, I meant I hate seeing you cry for him.” He started, still looking you deep in the eyes. His hand was beginning to caress your face, but you didn’t mind it one bit.
“Y/n, he doesn’t deserve your tears. Anyone would be so unbelievably blind and stupid to not see how amazing you are.”
Captivated by the intensity emanating from his eyes, you found yourself unable to look away as they shimmered in the gentle light behind you. In that moment, it felt as though the world around you had faded away, leaving only the two of you suspended in a moment of raw emotion. His passion was palpable, casting a spell that drew you in deeper, awakening something within you that you couldn't quite name.
“You are," he continued, his voice soft yet firm, "a rare gem in a world full of ordinary stones. Your strength, your kindness, your resilience—they shine brighter than any constellation in the night sky. And anyone who can't see that doesn't deserve to bask in the radiance of your presence."
Your eyes widened a bit at his words, surprised by the depth of emotion in his voice. It was as if he had reached into the depths of your soul and put into words everything you needed to hear at that moment.
“Suguru…I-“ but before you could even say another word to him, Shoko and Hime came out dressed in some of your homey clothes.
“We’re done! What did we miss?” Shoko asked, not noticing you and Suguru quickly pulling away from each other. You two never realized just how close you were to each other in the heat of the moment.
“Oh, Y/n and I were just talking about the movies you two picked out. You guys really want to watch, “The Room”?” He asked, seeing Shoko glare at him
“Uh, yeah! That movie is comedy gold! I don’t care what any of you say, we are going to watch that movie!” She said, walking towards the living room.
“Now come on kids! Times a wasting away!” She said, getting comfy on the couch.
Hime jumped over, landing on her stomach.
Suguru looked back at you and smiled.
“Just remember what I said, alright? You deserve more than he could ever provide you.” He finished, moving over to the couch and laying down on the L side.
Meanwhile, you stared at the back of his head with conflicting emotions swirling within you. Your chest ached from Toru, that was for certain... but now, Suguru's words echoed in your mind, stirring a flurry of emotions. Uncertainty mingled with a glimmer of optimism as you pondered his heartfelt reassurances.
Suguru's genuine concern offered a ray of light amidst the darkness, and it actually helped you feel better than before. Not only that, but with the moment you two just shared, you felt... butterflies?
No, it couldn't be. It was probably just the intensity of the situation amplifying your emotions. There's no way...There's no way you could have those sorts of feelings for Suguru, especially not now, amidst the chaos of your emotions.
You shook your head, forcing your thoughts away. Now was no time to dwell on such matters. Your friends were here to support you, and you weren't about to let your own internal turmoil disrupt the solidarity you found in their presence. So, you took a deep breath and focused on the comfort of their companionship, pushing aside any lingering doubts or uncertainties for the time being.
You four spent the rest of the day and night indulging in snacks, engrossed in lively conversation, and engrossed in movies.
However, every now and then, you couldn’t help but steal glances at Suguru, captivated by the genuine warmth of his smile. You weren't sure what was happening within you but...there was an undeniable comfort in his presence that you found yourself drawn to, even amidst the chaos of your own thoughts and feelings. Perhaps, just perhaps, there was something more blossoming between you and Suguru, something that you were only beginning to acknowledge.

May never come to reality but im planning out a Animatic to AJR's 'Maybe Man' (sue me) and need some help filling in some of the parts.
(Its probably going to be about all the life series in general not specifically Wild life. but feel free to try it fit it all in one series)
!!!long post incoming!!!
General plan so far:
First Half(ish) will be calmly looking at hermits in their peaceful habitats talking about their insecurities.
Finishing the first half when we get to the god part it will be Grian before life series started pleading to watchers and becoming one himself then cutting to him and all the other lifers standing around in a circle (like the start of each series) (much wow)
ONE. TWO. PANDEMONIUM.
murder, just all of the scenes of people dying biggest polt twist, betrayals, and Amount of kills.
Also specifically a close up of grain seeing the server burning in the reflection of his eyes.
ending with another shot of the beginning of a server but we see grains eyes which are weathered and worn out and maybe has some watcher purple
Specific Lines:
Wish I was a stone, so I couldn't feel You'd yell in my face, it'd be no big deal But I'd miss the way we make up and smile Don't want to be stone, I changed my mind
Im thinking scar and Grian Desert Duo? also could be
I wish I had eyes in the back of my head Then I could see the places I've been But then I would know that you're talkin' shit I don't wanna know what my friends think
This im Deff thinking cleo bigb scott and lizzie from the Boogeyman series (i forgor wich one that is)
but open to other ideas
Wish I were my dog out on the lawn I'd be so glad when I hear you come home But if I were my dog, I wouldn't live long I'm sure gonna miss her when she's gone
This is pearl playing with a dog, you cannot fucking make me change my mind
I wish I could act in a show on TV 'Cause then I could practice not bein' me I'll practice my cry, put it into my reel But you won't believe me when I cry for real
im either thinking like Ren or Martyn because of the acting thing or one of the scenes usually portrayed as lots of crying (ie Scott at the end of double life)
I wish that my brain would triple in size I'd nail every joke, I'd win every fight But I'd get too deep with that kind of mind I don't wanna know the point of life
ive been thinking of this as jimmy in general but also i dont want to be mean so other ideas would be great
In some other life I would be rich I'd travel in style, I'd cover the bill But couldn't complain 'bout anything small Nobody'd feel bad for me at all
havent given much thought for ones after this but im thinking Scar on Magic mountain trying to scam everyone?
If I was cocaine or a bottle of Jack I'd get invited to every frat But when you get old and your good days have passed You'll only want me when you're sad
have there been any people that bounce between alliances during one series?
Wish I was a song, your favorite one You'd follow the dance to me at your prom I would be there when your baby is born For two or three minutes, then I'm gone
there was at least one dande floor that was a trap, right??
I wish I was big, as big as my house I'd sleep on the trees, I'd skip every crowd But I wouldn't fit on my therapist's couch God, I could really use him now
probably ep1 of WildLife
I wish I was God, I'd never trip up And if I did, well, so fuckin' what? I could be cruel and break all your stuff Yeah, I'd be loved no matter what
pov grain angst
grain is on super windy mountain top surrounded by watchers crying, pleading to them
But if I was God, it'd get kinda weird 'Cause you would only say what I wanna hear And then you would die, you'd love me to death I never know who the hell I am
grian is surrounded by purple light wings and eyes becoming at least in part, a watcher
I wish I was me, whoever that is I could just be and not give a shit Hey, I'll be whatever makes you a fan 'Cause I don't know who the hell I am
cut to peaceful tranquil plains, all of them jn a circle at beginning of life series laughing joking shaking hands hugging (set em up for emotional damage)
One, two, pandemonium
black, black, PAN DE MONIUM
cut to destruction of server only using reds browns and blacks showing carnage this series has brought (and yes ofc player has died messages will appear in the corner as if in chat)
One, two, pandemonium
im thinking each line will be each of the series in chronological order
Here I go again
One, two, pandemonium
Here I go again
One, two, pandemonium
One, two-
Here I go again
cut to beginning of ?wild life? they all have scars when their final kills have been, some look tired some look determined
if you end up making this animatic if you want to put me in the credits as like 'inspired by' :3 but honestly idc that much. but you HAVE to tell me if you post one bc i will watch the hell out of that
#god i need more tags

What if while in Gristles and Bridgets wedding, John Dory’s daughter (y/n) was found by Branch, thinking that she was lost and shocked that his older brother had a kid. (actually JD just lost her in the woods while hunting for food. Branch knew that Y/n is jd’s kid cuz of the looks) JD AND Y/N, FATHER-DAUGHTER REUNION. But also angst, since y/n didn’t know anything about her father
sorry my english is bad

“Yeah, yeah! Baby girl, wait until you try Big Daddy’s gumbo!” a 30 year old John Dory laughed loudly as he mixed some vegetables and yak burger meat in a pan, making faces at his 8 month old daughter who giggled from her playpen.
It’d been the two of them since Kyomi, John’s wife of 15 years, passed during labor. It still hurt but John still had a reason to smile everyday:  you.
You were a perfect combination of himself and your mother; although you took his smile and hair color, you took your mother’s calming personality and you both had that cute little gap between your front teeth. Your mother was an R&B Troll, one of the subgenres of Pop and Funk Trolls, who lived on a small island between Pop Village and Vibe City.
John Dory came across her during his journey of self discovery and Kyomi helped him break out of the role of oldest brother and the leader role, and helped him to understand why his brothers’ reacted the way they did. Together they then traveled around the world, looking for his siblings. But once John had seen how happy his brothers were, he’d decided to keep his distance, they didn’t need him anymore.
John snapped out of his thoughts when he smelled something burning. “Ah sugar!” He yelled as he moved you further away from the campfire and hurriedly put the water out.
Once the fire was out, he turned to check you over, but you were fine, and not even paying attention to him anymore, instead you were facing away from him, playing with the necklace around your neck and babbling to yourself. John sighed softly and walked over to your crib and watched you play for a few minutes.
“Well, that gumbo is going to have to be made another day, darlin’. How about a breakfast dinner?” He asked, before grabbing you up, making you squeal in surprise, and put you in the baby carrier before heading out into the forest for more wood.
*timeskip*
You babbled along as John Dory sang softly under his breath, as he gathered wood, when a loud screech startled you both.
John cursed under his breath before rushing off, trying to get you both to safety when a claw scratched against him, making him trip, and hiss as he pressed a hand to his chest, feeling the deep scratches, before he felt his blood run cold when he realized you were no longer attached to him.
“Nonononono!” He yelled, chasing after the bird before he tripped over a tree branch and face planted in the dirt, rushing to get up, yelling your name, hoping something could help him.
But the bird was far from his reach and so were you.
John Dory fell to his knees before an harsh sob escaped him as he started to wail in despair, calling for you desperately:
“(Y/N)!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
*Fastforward to present day*
“GOOD MORNING, UNCLE BRANCH!” You squealed, as you saw your uncle yawning. He chuckled softly, accepting the cup of coffee you were offering him.. “Hey, firefly. You ready for a royal wedding?” “You mean the one where Aunt Poppy and Aunt Bridget tried to dress me up as an actual flower?”
Branch snorted in his coffee. “Oh yeah, Poppy showed me the pictures.” “It’s not funny, traitor!” You huffed, pouting and crossed your arms. Branch chuckled again making you smile before turning back to your journal, which was filled with different Troll fashion designs for each tribe. Branch started to make breakfast before peeking over your shoulder.
“Wow, (Y/N)! These are amazing!” You smiled brightly, you always did when people complimented your work. “Thanks! I was so excited for the wedding today, I got so inspired! Can you guess what the theme is?”
“Hmm,” Branch hummed, as he got the ingredients ready for breakfast. He smirked to himself seeing all the hearts and swirls in your designs. “Chesseburgers?” He guessed playfully.
“No!” You giggled, “It’s love. Love comes in all shapes and sizes, Uncle Branch. Sometimes, you just need a little bit of help to find it.” You said softly, fidgeting with the necklace around your neck, and looking over your designs with a thoughtful look.
Branch studied you carefully, something was bothering you, you wore the same look he distinctly remembers his oldest brother having when he thinking hard. He cleared his throat before asking, “Wanna help me cook?”
*Timeskip*
Now dressed in your wedding outfit,( you were the flower girl with Tiny being the flower boy), you stood next to your Uncle, dancing on the balls of your feet excitedly, stars shining in your eyes.
“Now, if there is anyone who objects to this—” “STOP THE WEDDING!” A loud voice screamed, making everyone turn to watch the mysterious Troll parkour their way down to the front of the crowd. Branch pushed you and Poppy behind him, eyeing the new Troll suspiciously.
“Sorry, sorry, is this a bad time? I’m just looking for a Troll named–” asked the Troll as he pushed his goggles up, before gasping seeing Branch.
“Baby Branch!” The weird man then came up and started rambling about nothing of interest to you, as you could see how much this Troll looked like you and was strangely familiar. But seeing your Uncle uncomfortably trying to get out of the man’s grip.
“Hey! You put my Uncle down right now!” “And tell us who you are!” demanded Poppy, standing tall besides you. Branch groaned as he jumped down. “Oh right, right, sorry. I’m Branch’s brother.” You gasp as Poppy took the lead.
You studied the new Troll, ignoring the argument between Branch and Poppy, and approached him. “Have we met before?” You asked, ceasing all conversation, not noting Branch bit his lip nervously.
“Now that I think about it……” John trailed off, seeing the necklace around your neck and gasping softly, before pushing your bangs from your face. “(Y/N)?” He asked softly, eyes tearing up. “Um.. yep that’s my name, heh. Says it on my necklace.”
“Oh my God….oh my God! You-you’re alive! “ John Dory laughed in disbelief before hugging you tightly. “I’m alive! I’m alive?” You giggle, hugging him back instinctively before backing away nervously.
“Of course you wouldn’t remember me…you were just a baby when we got seperated.” John huffed softly, before looking at you with sad fondness.
“(Y/N).....I’m your dad.”
There's no such thing as silly request :)

PART 1
---
You felt all the blood in your body rush to your face. What the fuck? Did he seriously just say that to you?
“Excuse me???”
“I woke up with my daughter missing from her room and saw her climbing out of your kitchen window. What the fuck was my three-year-old doing climbing out of your kitchen window at 7 in the morning lady?”
“I don’t even know who your daughter is, okay? I don’t even know who you are. Where the fuck do you get off accusing me of being a pedophile?”
“My daughter, Sarah. Why was she at your house? And why was she climbing out of your kitchen window?”
“Sarah?” Your mind thought of the weird happening from last night. “So that was real? I thought I dreamt it.”
“What exactly did you dream about, hmm? You’re using sleepwalking as an excuse for kidnapping and molesting my daughter now?”
“Hey! I did not kidnap or molest your daughter, alright? I woke up in the middle of the night and she was standing by my bed, and she was gone when you so kindly banged on my door, so I thought I dreamt the whole thing, OKAY? Which, by the way, Mr-accuse-me-of-being-a-pedo-sir, makes me wonder. Do YOU get off on teaching your daughter to break into single ladies’ houses, hmm?” Your arms went from crossing on your chest to your waist now, annoyed at his accusations when his daughter clearly broke into your place.
He stared at you, looking like he was about to yell some more, when his eyes travelled down from your eyes. He immediately looked away, looking a bit flustered, his whole body turned away from you, hands fidgeting with his shirt, pulling at the hem, mumbling something about your blanket.
You looked down, and to your horror, your blanket had fallen off when you moved your arms, revealing your sleepwear, which, last night, consisted of Eric’s old boxers and your old tank top, which, conveniently, had a huge rip on the chest area, and your movements had left your left nipple exposed, all erect and puckered up in the cold morning air.
To say you were mortified was a huge understatement. The angry, ridiculously gorgeous man just saw your nipple. Your hand immediately went up to cover your chest, you scrambled down to pick up your blanket, and you did the only thing that made sense to you at that very moment.
You slammed the door in his face.
Yeah… you were never leaving this house ever again.
This was a great day to start off your summer, the one where you were supposed to be healing yourself and restart your life. You moved into a new place, in a new town, and on your first morning, had a screaming match with your handsome neighbour, where he accused you of kidnapping and molesting his daughter. And the cherry on top of it all? You exposed yourself to him. Great. How the fuck were you supposed to show your face around here again? Maybe you can ask Jenny who he was, and where he lived, maybe there’s a way to avoid him.
You peeked out the kitchen window to see which way he went, but he was nowhere to be seen. Shit.
---
There was a knock on your door just as you finished breakfast. You stood there, contemplating whether or not to answer. What if it was the angry man again? Correction. The angry, indescribably handsome man. You gave yourself a once over, making sure all indiscreet body parts were hidden, before opening the door. A cheerful looking Jenny greeted you, a golf cart parked in front of your house.
“Morning! Wanna come with me for a tour of the farm?”
You were so relieved it wasn’t the angry man, you jumped at the opportunity to go with her, but not before looking left and right, making sure he was nowhere in sight.
The two of you got on the golf cart. When Jenny put her foot on the pedal, you were sure that this was no ordinary old lady. You had never hung on for dear life more than you did at that moment, certain that you were gonna get thrown off at some point.
The perimeters of the farm went beyond what you saw yesterday. There were about 20 to 30 houses scattered about, each unique, each beautiful in its own way. But beyond the houses was a working farm, with chicken coops and a large barn, a stable and pens. There were areas filled with rows upon rows of vegetables and a large pond in the middle of it all. Jenny showed you around, telling you that she and her late husband started the farm when they started taking in the foster kids, wanting them to have something to do with their hands, keeping them out of trouble. The boys built some of the houses too, she said. She looked so proud; you couldn’t help but admire this lady. She was so small and petite, and yet she had people like Tommy doing her bidding at the snap of her finger.
There were men milling about the farm, Jenny telling you some of them were her older boys, some new ones whose parents sent over to work for her, hoping that whatever magic she possessed that turned her boys into the men they were today would rub off on their troubled teens, and some were just men who had always worked the farm alongside her late husband.
When Jenny drove you back to your house, you saw your next-door neighbour for the first time, a beautiful lady with long black hair and her mini me, just arriving home, a basket full of produce in her hand.
“Morning Omera,” Jenny said, hopping off the cart, running her hand on the little girl’s head. “This is Lynn, she just moved in next door. She’s gonna be helping Maria at the restaurant. This is Omera, and her daughter Winta.”
You shook their hands, Omera politely welcoming you to the area. You heard the slam of car doors. You turned around, and immediately froze.
It’s him.
It’s the angry, devastatingly handsome guy, walking towards you. He had Sarah, who was holding a fluffy purple teddy bear, in his left arm, a scarf in the other.
He stopped in his tracks when he saw you. Sarah turned, saw you, and squirmed off her father’s hold, her little legs running towards you, immediately stepping on your left foot, hugging your leg, fluffy purple teddy bear squished between your leg and her tiny body.
“Hello Lady,” her little voice said to you.
You giggled, and rubbed her head, “Hello Sarah! Nice to see you again, and I can see you are real too!”
She giggled, rubbing her face onto your leg. She showed the purple teddy bear to you, holding its right hand out to you.
“Who is this fine bear?”
“Jello,” she said. “My friend Jello.”
You took its hand and shook it. “Hello, Mr Jello. It’s nice to meet you.”
“Jello’s a girl, Lady!” she said, giggling.
“Oops!!! Sorry Ms Jello!”
You tickled Ms Jello, Sarah laughing out loud.
The angry man, Jenny and Omera looked as if you had just performed a magic act. It was silent for an uncomfortably long time, so much so you felt as if you had just done something wrong. But Sarah pulled on your hand and said ‘uppie’. So you picked her up. She pressed her head on your shoulder and said sorry.
“Why are you sorry, Sarah?” you asked her quietly.
“Daddy yelled at you because I go in your window.”
“It’s okay Sarah, but next time knock on the door, okay? Don’t climb in through the window. Daddy was just worried you might hurt yourself.”
“I can come knock?”
“Of course you can.”
“Jello can come too?”
“Of course she can!”
She grinned at you, took your face in her hand, and rubbed her nose against yours.
“Thank you, Lady.”
“You’re welcome, sweetie.”
She held her face to yours a few seconds longer, and suddenly you felt like yourself again, the you that you had lost for over 18 months.
You put her back down, and she ran into Omera’s house with Winta.
The three adults were still standing around looking at you as if you were about to squirt them with the imaginary fake flower on your non-existent lapel.
The angry man got closer, handing Omera the scarf that he had in his hand, his eyes still on you. “You left this in the car,” he said.
“Oh, thank you Joel,” she said, taking the scarf. “And thank you for taking me to the market. I’ll make sure Sarah gets home before lunch,” she said, leaning up to him, kissing him lightly on the cheek, before turning around to go inside, softly shutting the door closed behind her.
Jenny cleared her throat, speaking with a slightly choked voice, “Lynn, this is one of my boys, Joel. He’s Tommy’s brother. I see you have met my granddaughter, Sarah.” She looked at Joel nervously, “When… and how did you meet her?” Are there tears in her eyes?
“I’ll tell you later,” Joel quickly cut in, before you could answer.
Why were they still looking at you like that? Did you have a booger up your nose or something? Now you just felt really off. Not only did this man yell at you and accuse you of being a pedo this morning, and now, somehow, the very moment you saw him again, the friendly faces you had met before his reappearance had gotten all squirrelly and weirded out by you for whatever reason.
Oh God.
They were judging you, right? Did they know what happened? Did they think you were a bad person? Cause you certainly did. And now they all know, right? They somehow knew? Did Maria tell them? Did Tommy? You suddenly felt as if the open air was suffocating you, their eyes daggers stabbing into your chest.
You decided you had enough for the day, made your excuses and ran into your tiny house, locked the door, closed all the curtains, crumpled onto the floor and sobbed. You heard Jenny outside your door, softly knocking, calling your name, but you were too mortified to answer. She eventually stopped and left you alone. Maria and Lennie called, and you ignored them too. Maria finally texted you, asking you if you were okay, and if she should come over. You replied to her, telling her you’d be alright. Just needed some time.
You spent the rest of that day in the darkness of your house, laid up in bed, staring at the TV, not really watching anything. Come dinner time, a soft knock came on your door again, this time it was Joel’s voice calling your name, his tone a massive contrast to the way he was yelling at you this morning. You ignored him. You really didn’t want to face him. You heard his footsteps walking away and heard Jenny’s kitchen door closed. You were about to release a sigh of relief when you heard the door open again, followed by the pitter patter of tiny footsteps running, and the climbing of the two steps it took to get up to your porch, and a few tentative steps to your door. A very soft knock came, followed by a familiar, tiny voice.
“Lady?”
Shit, he weaponized his daughter. What a low life. What kind of man would use the cuteness of his daughter to get a lady to open the door?
Another knock.
“Lady? I knock.”
Fuck, this girl’s adorable. How can you not open the door? You may be a bad person, but you can’t possibly not open the door to that. You can practically see her big brown eyes and that little pout of hers preparing to greet you when you open the door.
You reluctantly did so, Sarah standing in front of your door, looking cute as a button in her pajamas, covered in butterflies, holding a Tupperware container out to you, Jello squished under her other arm.
“Daddy said give to Lady.”
You looked to Jenny’s kitchen door where Joel stood, leaning against the door frame, watching you interact with his daughter, his face the grumpy one you have seen so far, but sort of blank at the same time. You took a knee in front of her, and took the container from her, thanked her, and told her to thank her Daddy and Grandma too.
“Lady sad? I can stay?”
You looked at Joel again, his eyes fixed on you, his arms still steadfastly crossed on his chest. You cannot read his expression. What was that look? You remembered what he accused you of this morning, and immediately shook your head.
“No, sweetie, you should go home and sleep in your room, okay?”
“Jello can stay?” she asked, offering her to you, her little face full of concern now.
Your heart melted. “It’s okay, sweetie, I don’t want you to miss her.”
She looked to be deep in thought for a while, before nodding, and saying okay. But before she left, she gave you a hug, her little arms giving you the tightest squeeze they could muster. She rubbed her nose against yours, and told you good night, before running off to her father. You didn’t look at Joel again, you just got up, and shut the door behind you, before eating the pasta Jenny made in the dark.
That night, you dreamt of standing in the same glass room, Omera, Jenny and Joel standing outside, staring at you, Sarah trying hard to open the door, asking you to let her in, Jello in her arms.
---
You promised Maria you would have breakfast with her that next day. You woke up, got yourself ready, checking the vicinity to make sure no one was around, before getting on your bike, planning to pedal as fast as you could out of there. As you were about to lift your foot off the ground, you heard the front door of Omera’s house open, followed by Jenny’s kitchen door. You didn’t look back, just pedaled out as fast as you could, hearing Jenny call your name.
You couldn’t do it. You couldn’t face them. Maybe later. You were not even sure what you did wrong, you just knew that they saw you differently for some reason, pre and post Joel’s arrival.
You got to the diner about 30 minutes too early. Maria wasn’t even there yet. So, you sat out front, wheeling your folded bike absent mindedly with your foot, looking at your phone, trying to answer Lennie’s worried text from last night, when a shadow blocked out the sun from you.
It’s him. In his police uniform. Sherrif badge on his chest and everything. Holding out a cup of coffee towards you.
Shit. Coffee and a police uniform. This man was just here to torture you, wasn’t he?
But you were still mortified at everything that happened yesterday, okay, mostly the bit where he accused you of molesting his daughter, and especially the peekaboo that happened after. Really. The first time anything remotely sexual had happened to you in over 18 months, and it happened while a gorgeous man was accusing you of being a pedo. Just your luck. So, you just bent your head down and refocused on your phone. He heaved a big sigh and sat down next to you on the bench, placing the coffee between the two of you. He cleared his throat.
“Listen, Lynn, right?”
You didn’t respond.
“I just wanted to apologize for yelling at you yesterday. It’s just, I woke up, couldn’t find her, I panicked, the kitchen door was partly open, went outside looking for her, and saw her climb out your window like she just escaped captivity or something, and my mind just… went places. Occupational hazard. I really am sorry.”
You still didn’t say anything, but you lowered your phone, and focused on your feet instead.
“And for what it’s worth, I don’t think you did anything to her. The way she was so excited to see you… she wouldn’t have done that if you did anything bad to her, I don’t think… she barely… anyway… I just wanted to say sorry again, for the yelling and the accusation. I just hope that you don’t punish her for something I did, she seemed to like you, so… I’ll… leave you be now.” He stood up and began walking away.
“Why were all of you staring at me like that? Did I do something wrong? Did I overstep? What did I do?”
Joel stopped walking, turning back to face you, your eyes still on the ground.
“You didn’t do anything wrong. It’s just, you see, Sarah, she…”
“Hello, you… am I late?” Maria’s voice chimed in, before bending over and giving you a hug. “Hey Joel,” she said, giving him a hug too, receiving a kiss from him on her cheek. “Shall we? I am starving!” she said to you, pushing the door, holding it open for you to follow. “Join us, Joel?”
“No, I should get back to work. I’ll see you ladies around.”
You stood up, picked up the coffee he brought you, took a small sip, and followed her in, still not looking at him, missing the small smile that graced his lips when he realized you had accepted his peace offering.
---
“So, what happened yesterday? Jenny called me, all worried about you. She also said you… communicated with Sarah? Did she imagine that?”
“She snuck into my house, and Joel sort of accused me of something. He apologized, but something is off. I think I got off on the wrong foot with him,” you told Maria.
“What do you mean?”
“I don’t know how to explain it, per se. But Sarah apologized to me for sneaking into my house, and…”
“Wait, so, Jenny wasn’t imagining it? Sarah really apologized to you? Joel Miller’s daughter, Sarah? As in, she said the word sorry?”
“Yeah…”
“She spoke words to you?” her face was in disbelief.
“Well, yeah…” Maria’s eyes were staring into your soul now. “Stop looking at me like that. This is exactly what I’m talking about. They were all staring at me the way you are now. What is the big deal? Did I do something wrong?”
Maria took a few more moments of stunned silence.
“No… you didn’t do anything wrong… it’s just… that girl had never spoken. Ever. To anyone. Not one word. Not even to her father. In fact, we all thought she was non-verbal.”
Oh.

It's right where he thought it might be.
You're basically drowning in the fabric of his sweater, but he's also never seen you so visibly calm during sleep. He can't even be mad about it- even though he usually does get rather irritated about his own clothes being taken by others.
He hates it. But for some reason, if it's you, he doesn't mind.
In fact, he's got to admit that you look cute like this. "We'll take a small walk to the park with the dog hybrids today. They need their time outside." Hana informs him as he puts the card hanging from the red string around his neck, so staff knows who he is. "They're all ready at the front, so you can go and check in with Yoha." Jungkook furrows his brows.
"What about her?" he asks, pointing to you who's still napping in the corner you're usually found in.
"She doesn't tag along." Hana says, as if he should know that. "She's not mentally fit for trips like that."
"I mean, on paper." Jungkook says, almost scoffing. "But like, did you ask her?"
"No, because she never comes along." She says rather defensively now. "Jungkook please, we know her better than you. Just stay here if you don't want to come along, but don't try and lecture me or anyone else here who's worked with her and other hybrids for years." She scolds.
But it seems like she doesn't know Jungkook.
Walking over to you, he's careful not to touch you, well aware that it could freak you out especially if you're asleep.
Doesn't know you, he scoffs to himself. He knows you better than her it seems, that's for sure.
"Hey." he tries, but you're sleeping too deep. "Hey, puppy. Wake up." he demands again, and now he can notice your ears moving, eyes opening after a few seconds, until his eyes widen at the sigh. You're smiling. Your tail is wagging.
You look genuinely happy.
"Hey there." he says, unable to hide his own smile either. "Hana said we're going to the park. You wanna come along?" he wonders, and he can see for a second that you're hesitating. "It's okay if you don't. No hard feelings. Just thought, you know, I should ask." he adds on, when you slowly sit up, playing with the strings of your sweatpants.
Then, you point at your shoes.
"Oh fuck, yeah, I forgot!" he shoots up, running to his bag where he pulls out another plastic bag, before running back to you. "I bought them a size smaller cause those you have seemed to big, but if you wear like, I don't know, socks or some shit in them they might fit." he explains, before pulling out some slip-in chelsea boots with almost no heel. Your eyes are like dinner plates at the sight. "Would be a good chance to try them out, no?" he wonders, nodding towards the small crowd of dog hybrids at the front, Yoha already counting everyone it seems.
So much for 'she doesn't ever come along', he angrily thinks.
And then, you pull on his sweater to get his attention. "Hm?" he wonders, just for you to hesitantly grab his sleeve. "I'll stay with you if that's what you're scared of. And we can go back at any moment." he reassures.
And that's what seems to make it work for you, because you move to slip into your new boots, before you get up and grab your coat from the hangers close by. He wants to say something to the staff-
But he composes himself, bringing you along to the front where Yoha and Hana already wait.
"Here." Hana says, giving him a yellow reflective.. Leash? "It's mandatory for her. I'm sorry, but without it-"
"Yeah yeah fucking protocol crap, I know." he grumbles more or less to himself, snatching the leash from her hands before he carefully clips it onto your collar. He cringes at the sight, hates it, and he hates it even more that somewhere in the backside of the logical part in his brain, he understands it.
He also comforts himself with the fact that you seem perfectly fine with the arrangement. It gives you a sense of security, equal as if holding onto his hand but without physical contact. You're skittish, still very much scared, but walking close to him seems to calm you down enough to make it work.
He didn't think you'd genuinely play at the park like the others do, and you don't- but that's fine.
The fact that you're here, that you're outside and at least attempting to find your way back into life away from your little bubble you've created shows him that you're not a lost case at all. A bit of work, and you could surely be adopted by someone nice who looks past all those issues. But somehow, the thought of you living with someone else makes him upset.
He knows he's not a good fit for someone like you.
He's talked to his best friend about it the night prior. It's a lot of responsibility already to live with a regular hybrid- but you're special needs. And considering his past mistakes and criminal record, there's simply no way to file for emotional support or therapy assistance.
It's beginning to rain a little, and he throws the hood of his sweater over his head before making sure your jacket is zipped up properly as well- like second nature.
You've noticed this before as well. He looks scary, with his piercings and tattoos and bold body and angry gaze. But he only looks that way. He's like a guard dog for you; a protector, because with him at your side nothing bad will ever happen. He's nice, a bit rough, but always friendly in his own way.
You like him.
Meanwhile Jungkook himself can't see what you see in him.
He's not the right person for you.
Next to him, you're perfectly content with your situation. Your tail is wagging sometimes in shared excitement when the hybrids in sight throw and catch a ball, but you also don't look like you actively want to participate. Watching seems to be more than enough, though you do check in if he's still next to you, tail wagging eagerly when he responds with a short smile your way.
He's not the right person for you, and he knows this.
When you walk back, he can feel your fingers grabbing the edge of his sleeve tightly, weighing his arm down a little. He notices the way his skin brushes against your fingers every now and then- feels how you do not react anymore, at all. There's a small moment of pure bravery, the sight of a road ahead, and the view of every hybrid standing in pairs holding hands that leads you to carefully slip your fingers between his. He quietly responds, holding your cold hand in his warmer one, thumb running circles over the soft back of your palm.
He knows he's not the right person for you.
But he wants to be.

The day at work seemed to last forever but eventually your shift ended and you hurried home, you jumped in the shower to shave, scrub, wax, all of it.
By the time you fed Quinn and are all dressed up it is seven.
You check your phone, no news. Which is not abnormal, he might be driving.
You sit on your porch while waiting for Dean to show up.
Seven thirty rolls around and no news.
You dare to send him a little text.
“Hey, it was seven at my place, right?” you send to him.
No answer. It’s not even read.
Quinn can feel your sadness at being stood up and lays his furry head on your lap.
“Perhaps he’s just late.” You tell him while stroking his ears.
Or he stood you up…
Around eight you go back inside and take off your heels. You really thought he liked yesterday’s kiss…
Was it a bad kiss? To you it was the best kiss ever. But maybe not to him? Is that why he ghosted you?
A smile blooms on your face when you hear your phone ringing, but as soon as it came it fades at the unfamiliar number.
“Damn spammers.” You mutter while hanging up.
Was it a little high hopes on your side that Dean wanted to go out on a date with you? Maybe… he is extremely beautiful. But he was the one who suggested it. It made no sense.
The number pops up on your screen again and you grunt while you hang up. Only for the number to pop up again.
“Jeez this one is motivated.” You sigh.
You stare at the number, maybe it’s work?
Not like you have plans for tonight anyway. You pick up.
“Hello?”
“Is this Y/N?” A strange voice asks you, but there is something similar about it.
“Yeah? Who is asking?” You frown.
“My name is Sam, I’m Dean’s brother, we need your help.” He sounds in a hurry, or worried even.
“My help?” That couldn’t be good…”Where is Dean?”
“He got hurt, badly… I know you don’t know me but- but he needs you. I will send you coordinates, could you come to us?”
“If he’s hurt badly he needs to go to a hospital.” You say, hurt again? Yesterday the cut, today this…
What are they involved in?
“That’s not an option, please Y/n, I- I don’t think he will get through the night without you.” He sounds so desperate.
Rubbing your face you grab your big bag for emergencies. “Send me the address, I will come.”
“Thank you” he sighs with relief “I sent the text, you text me when you’re here. Hurry please, Y/n.” And then he hangs up.
Walking with your big bag to your car you check the coordinates.
Who uses coordinates? You put them in your gps and see it’s just on the edge of town. You speed down the roads to get there within thirty minutes.
You get out of your car and frown, there is nothing but an old factory and woods here.
You send your text to Sam, telling him you’re here.
The big metal door of the factory opens with a loud creak.
“Y/n! Hurry, he’s in here.” Sam says from the opening.
You hurry down the little steps and follow Sam inside and look over the railing with wide eyes.
This isn’t an old factory…
The magic inside you immediately reacts to the sigils that are hidden in the walls. This whole building is magical, powerful. Your magic eases against the sigils with a soft hand, reassuring them you are not a threat. Once they are soothed they stop oppressing you like an intruder.
Inside is a very big room with many lights and machines you don’t understand. A big world map table lighting up in the middle.
And on that table is an unconscious Dean, bleeding heavily from his stomach and his face is covered in blood from a cut you can’t see.
“Oh god…” You run down the few stairs and get to the table.
“What happened!” You scream at Sam while you get to work.
Ripping open your bag you get out your stethoscope and listen for his heartbeat. It’s there but weak…
Bloodpressure is too low, he lost a lot of blood…
“What is his blood type?” You ask while cutting open his shirt.
His stomach… It’s shredded, this needs a surgeon, not a nurse.
“His b-bloodtype uhm” I can see Sam shaking in the corner of my eye, “we’re both O.” He eventually says.
“Sam…”
“I can’t explain what happened, he got c-cut open. Please… do something.”
“I’m not a surgeon.” You pant, the panic and magic rising within you.
He needs my magic but…
But the way he gets hurt every day, no hospital, the magic of this place...
Your eyes water while looking at his unconscious face, of course he has to be a damn hunter…
Hunters murdered your friend ten years ago. You swore to her to never get near a hunter again, it was the last thing she asked of you.
You have plenty of catheters and bags to make a blood transfusion. It’s not at all like the protocol in the hospital but it will have to do.
You can’t let him die.
“Sam, you need to get me some tape, water, a bowl, a lighter, and all the bandages you have. Go now.”
Sam nods and runs out of the room.
Giving you the chance to be alone with Dean.
You put on your gloves and start cleaning his stomach as much as possible to see the damage.
Definitely werewolf claws…
You grunt, “I can’t stitch this much shredded skin…”
You look over your shoulder to make sure Sam isn’t here and take off your gloves to start rubbing your hands together.
They heat up and start glowing with a golden light, you make your hands hover over his wound.
It is impossible to heal it all, your magic untrained and rarely used. But you will do what is possible.
You know that with training you would be able to heal a lot of things, but using it is very dangerous and it drains you. A lot.
You focus on healing the cells of his intestines, healing every precious organ that is inside, then you focus on the peritoneum, the bag that seals the intestines.
Sweat is forming on your brow and you wipe it away with your sleeve to prevent it from falling inside his wound.
Dizziness is creeping in and you push your magic to knit his stomach muscles back together and heal the edges of his wound, you can stitch them when they are less shredded.
You are panting heavily by the time your magic runs out. But you check his wound and are satisfied to see his muscles are perfectly closed.
You thread your needle, black spots are creeping into your vision but you push through.
Sam comes running in with everything you asked for.
“Tell me what to do.” He says.
“Check his head, find the cut and tell me if it’s deep, clean up as much as you can.”
He nods and does exactly that while you stitch his layers of skin back together.
“It’s not deep but bleeding hard, it’s just on the edge of his hairline.”
“Keep pressure on it and use butterfly bandage to put it back together. It should hold.”
I finish with my stitches and put a big bandage over his stomach, then wrapping a compression bandage around his entire waist to keep it all in place.
You move next to Sam to check Dean’s head, it is indeed not very deep and what Sam did will be sufficient.
You go to Dean’s arm and put in a catheter, you give him some antibiotics to fight of any bacteria that got in his open wound and a shit ton of pain killers, then you move to Sam.
“Sam, sit, he needs blood.”
You grab his arm and start drawing blood to make a transfusion.
After Sam donated the maximum he can, you make shift a pole to hook the blood bag so it can slowly enter Dean.
“You’re both very lucky to have O.” You sigh, exhaustion is starting to claim you but Dean can’t stay on the table, he needs to be comfy. You give Sam just a little time and hand him a cookie to get his sugars up.
“Can you carry him?” You ask Sam.
He nods “I can. W-will he be okay?”
“He can’t stay on the table. I don’t know yet, I gave him a lot of pain meds, he should wake up in a few hours, or his heart can stop from the trauma.” I say as my eyes stay on his chest, that’s slowly moving up with each breath he takes.
Alive. He’s alive.
Sam carefully picks Dean up. You stay close, making sure the blood bag stays above Dean’s head.
Sam walks him through the enormous building and reaches what you presume is Dean’s bedroom and puts him in the bed.
You arrange his pillow and cover him so he doesn’t get cold, then grab a chair and sit next to his bed.
You take off your smart watch, turn on the sound and wrap it around Dean’s wrist, a faint beeping noise sounding that follows the rhythm of his heart.
“Get some rest Sam, I will be here, if his heart stops, my watch will make an alarm noise, I will stay here, making sure he’s okay.”
“I want to stay here.” He argues.
“I can’t have you in the room when he crashes, which is a chance. Go to bed, try to rest. You will need your strength when he wakes up.”
If he wakes up…
Sam gives a little nod and reluctantly leaves.
You slump in the chair and watch Dean breathe. The exhaustion will claim you soon, so you learn forward and touch his chest, putting your very last magic into his heart. The weak rhythm of his heart starts to pick up,  with your magic it became stronger.
With the reassurement that he won’t die, you stop fighting the exhaustion and pass out.
Tumblr media
“Y/n?” you hear your name being faintly said, but your eyes won’t open just yet. Your body feels as if it is submerged in deep dark waters, every movement feels heavy and hard.
“Y/n?” your name is repeated, and you can feel yourself rising up to the surface of consciousness.
Your eyes peel themselves open and made contact with two spring forest green eyes.
Dean.
Dean!
Your eyes jump open and you reach his side.
“You’re awake.” You gasp, you check the watch around his wrist and see three hours have passed, his heartbeat and blood pressure are not perfect yet but they are good enough.
“How do you feel?” You ask him while taking off the now empty blood bag from his catheter.
“Not great.” He winces with a small smile, “But seeing you definitely helps.”
He still looks very pale.
“Pain?” You ask him while getting some more painkiller in a needle and putting it in his catheter.
He nods.
“This will help.”
He carefully lifts the covers to see his stomach, all wrapped up. “The last time I looked here I saw inside myself… I thought-“ he swallows hard and looks at you, “I missed our date.”
You can’t help but chuckle, “You almost died and you’re thinking about our date?”
“I was looking forward to it.” He defends.
“Me too.” You softly whisper.
“This isn’t what I had in mind as a date.” He lowers the cover again, “How did you get here?”
“Sam called me urgently, saying he needed my help and let me in. Good he did, I managed to help you, the next weeks will be hard, Dean. We will see each other a lot more. You talked about me to Sam?”
The smile he gives you is far from weak, “To see you a lot more doesn’t sound bad at all. I did… I was excited to tell him about you.”
You give him a smile back, blushing at how he wanted to tell his brother about you.
How you ever doubted for a second to not use your magic to heal him.
You would risk it all just to see him smile.
“What was your idea of a date?” You ask him to keep his mind, and perhaps your own, off how close he came to dying.
“Something cheesy, like a picknick in a field with a pretty sunset. Dropping you back at your place after we had a great time and then, then I would kiss you again.” He says.
You smile, “So you’re a romantic guy, huh?”
“Very.” He grins and tries to lean towards you, only resulting in him hissing.
“Careful!” You say and help him adjust his position by putting your arms around his naked shoulders and tugging gently on his pillow.
“That’s the second time you ripped of my clothes, you know if you want to see me naked sweetheart, all you have to do is ask.”
“You’re such a flirt.” You smile at him and realize how close your faces are together, you glance down at his lips.
“I regret not kissing you tonight.” He whispers against your lips.
“Tonight isn’t over yet.” You whisper back.
He smiles and closes the gap between you two. Kissing you deeply.
You carefully cup his face, kissing him back.
He moans when your tongue brushes against the seam of his lips, asking for entrance, which he grants.
His hand comes up to brush your cheek. He tilts his head to the side and deepens the kiss, more moans spilling out from his mouth.
You’re panting against him, your hands slipping in his hair as you get lost in him.
A harsh hiss breaks you apart and you see that he tried to pull you closer, resulting in hurting himself. You slowly peel yourself away from Dean.
“You need to rest,” you pant, your lips swollen and wet from his kiss, “No excessive moving for you for at least two weeks.”
“The idea of taking a nurse on a date is much sexier than in real life.” He grunts as lays back down more comfortably, “No excessive moving, so no kissing?” he gives you the biggest puppy eyes, almost as cute as Quinn’s.
You blush and say “Only kissing is okay. Calm kissing.”
“I can survive with calm kissing,” he smiles then winks, “For now.”
You blush even harder and smile.
“Rest Dean, you need it. I will be here.”

Don't Forget, Don't Forget About Me - Gabe Perreault ☆
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
wc: 1.9k
tw: angst. alcohol. kissing? cussing. partying. almost sa. slut shaming. weird frat guy.
part 2 of superman !!
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
gabe hadn’t called. he hadn’t texted. it was now sunday night; the night before he was supposed to land back in boston and lottie wondered if he had even thought of her.
her little overthinking insecure mind couldn’t help but hope he wouldn’t go off and save some other girl. a girl who desperately needed saving just like the naive little freshmen lottie was a couple of months prior.
*flashback*
“c’mon!! we’re in college now, you have to actually leave your dorm if you want to make friends char” her best friend from home told her while they were face timing.
i mean its not that lottie liked to stay home. she kinda felt burnt out. her whole life she didn’t have strict authority figures who told her she couldn’t go out. so by the time she was eighteen years old in a new city she didn’t feel the hunger of freeness, every other eighteen year old was feeling.
she grew up with her grandmother in california who had already done her part in raising her children. she was raising lottie out of the kindness of her heart. or mainly due to the fact lottie would be in the foster care system since both her parents were in jail.
“i dont know what if something goes wrong” she says, beginning to look like she can be convinced seeing how cute dylan looks.
it might be fun to dress up and take cute pics…
“it’s college! you finally have the opportunity to be somewhere where no one knows you. you can talk freaking australian and stupid bitches would believe you. your just like every other bitch tonight!”
lottie couldn’t help but smile at her friends drunkness desperately regretting the fact she didn’t go to umich with the blonde friend.
“honestly thats so real and tru. when the hell did u start giving such good advice”
“shutup and let me help you pick a fit” dylan excitedly squeals.
lottie walked into a frat party alongside her roommate and some girls they had just met. the music was typical frat music but she was honestly feeling it.
maybe because she missed going out or maybe because her and her friends had just pregamed a bottle of titos before leaving the dorm.
the thing about lottie is that she doesn’t usually drink so when she does, she drinks to have a good time.
“oh my gosh!! charlotte pls let’s go dance. plsss” my roommate Mary slurred whining.
lottie was obviously not going to turn that invitation down, so off she went. unbeknownst to her she had already caught the attention of several guys with the worse intentions possible.
all lottie can remember of that part of the night is that she was dancing with mary having the time of her life and then the next thing she knew, mary was making out with some guy.
okay mary!! slay!
she didn’t want to awkwardly third wheel that, so she quickly made her way out the dance floor. into the kitchen where there were several tall guys standing around with red cups.
“hey charlotte right? we have english together” a shorter boy walked up to her. lottie didn't think he was with the taller boys.
ive never seen this man in my life.
but of course she was naive. and in her little naive mind she didn’t want to make this random guy feel bad so she went along with it. as if they were old friends. they weren’t.
“oh yeah! hi!” she told the black haired boy standing way too close for her comfort.
unbeknownst to lottie he didn’t actually have a class with her and he was just another dumb freshman hoping to get into a frat, trying to prove he was somebody to a bunch of nobodies. in all the wrong ways too. he had just been ordered to slip something into her drink.
why he chose lottie, she would never know.
“here let me get you some water, you don’t look too well”
“thanks!! thats so nice! I was just dancing with my roommate but I don’t know where she went, I think she went off with some guy which is totally fine! im not judging or anything, like good for her” lottie drunkly rambled. one thing about lottie is that she becomes a yapper with just one sip of alcohol.
“ya it can get pretty tiring out there” he said looking around and at her nervously handing her some ‘water’. or so she thought.
as lottie was about to pour the liquid down her throat a tall dark haired boy came and slapped the cup out of her hand. spilling it all over the floor and on her top.
what the hell man
“im so sorry but don’t drink that. here” he said handing her a bottled water desperately searching for a towel to give her to wipe off whatever the hell that liquid was which smelled like the farthest thing from water.
“cmon man i was already talking to her and it was just water” the frat boy said grabbing lottie harshly.
“get the fuck out of here ass hat. how stupid can you be”
"that wasn't water!"
the taller boy and i yelled at the same time while the frat boy shoved him.
“don’t fucking touch me or her” he said pushing him back. harder.
"she's pretty easy to touch man, I mean look at her" the frat guy drunkly said.
the tall dark haired boys friends quickly came and got between them before something bigger started.
“cmon gabe it’s not worth it” a freckled boy said to him while shooting a dangerous glare to the stupid frat guy.
lottie just stood off leaned against the counter trying to figure out who’s the hell are these people? and what the hell was going on? and did that asshole just slut shame her? what the hell did he even mean by that? .
“let’s go find your friends” he said taking my arm much gentler and guiding me through the party. trying to see if I recognized anyone.
“thank you for that, honestly. i didn’t think anyone could ever be capable of doing something like that” I told the boy who had gentler eyes now as we stepped outside. as lottie began to sober up, it hit her what could of happened if this mysterious boy never came to save the day.
im so dumb.
lottie couldnt help but think.
“well now you know for next time right” he said with a light smile as he texted on his phone.
whose he texting?
“who we texting!” lottie said jokingly. trying to lighten up the mood.
“im trying to call us an uber, your a freshman right?” he said with a chuckle, feeling a flip in his stomach as he seen her smile.
thats pretty.
“yeah, are you?”
“yeah, my names gabe by the way” he said realizing he never got her name or even told her his.
“charlotte. but i go by lottie” she said smiling at him, noticing gabe was honestly cute.
“the uber is fifteen minutes away” he said looking down at her, into her big brown eyes.
“thank you. really” she said starring into each others eyes, as if they’ve spent all eighteen years of their lives searching for one another.
feeling her heart beat a million times an hour; something lottie has never felt before. so she couldn’t figure out what it meant. heart attack? maybe?
lord save me.
*flashback over*
lottie felt like an idiot. she knew gabe was back from his trip seeing as his location was in his dorm. he usually would have asked her to go over by now or he would of came here, but seeing as he probably believed lottie didn't love him; he was going to be stubborn and not answer her.
screw it I cant take it anymore
lottie rolled her ass out of bed and put on her uggs as she marched down the hill to his dorm with a mission on her mind.
she had spent the weekend wallowing in self pity and she couldn't take it anymore. this had been the longest they had gone without speaking to one another since they got together and lottie realized she did not like it. not one bit.
"gabe just call her back, if she's calling you so much then she obviously does care about you" will snapped finally tired of seeing his roommate in such a terrible mood; all weekend.
"thats the problem! i want her to love me not just care for me. you guys know lottie; she cares for the homeless man down the street that she's never even met before!" gabe gestures with his arms.
"dont be complicated gabe" ryan chimes in, knowing all too well how their friend and teammate is.
as gabe opens his mouth to talk further he is cut off by a loud knock on the door.
ryan quickly trying to escape gabes self pity party practically runs to open the door while will and gabe stay sitting back on the couch.
"lottie! come in!" ryan says loudly looking at will with eyes that speak 'lets get outta here'. will practically ran out with ryan. not wanting to deal with depressed gabe any longer, not before waving at lottie on his way out though.
gabe rolled his eyes at their antics before getting up and walking to his room as lottie began to shut the front door.
"gabe wait! please hear me out"
"there's nothing to hear out lottie. its okay to not love someone back, you dont have to explain anything" he said looking anywhere and everywhere but her.
lottie took a good look at him seeing as he looked like his heart was breaking into a million pieces; lottie wanting so desperatly to put it back together one by one, however long it took. she loved him.
"you cant honestly believe that I dont love you gabe" lottie said softly, walking closer to him.
"look at me gabe" she whispered, while softly turning his head down to look at her. his deep green eyes has her wanting to scream from the rooftops.
"I love you" she said as she shook with nothing but raw emotion and pure love.
gabe couldn't help but scoop her up into his arms and kiss his girl like there was no tomorrow. smiling into the kiss because he hated what he had felt all weekend long.
lottie pulled away from the kiss as she wasn't finished. she planned the speech the whole way here, she wanted to tell him. because when you know you know and she knew.
"I love you gabriel perreault. and im sorry for not telling you sooner. i just assumed you knew and that was wrong of me and so sorry. since the very first day I've loved you. since you saved me from my own stupidity, I loved you. since you've put up through every bad habit and fit I've had, I've loved you-"
"lottie, i know. you dont have to say it" gabe said cutting her off knowing well lottie isn't one to scream her love from the rooftops. with his hands on her lower back. making her stomach do cartwheels.
god I love him. I want him.
"I want to though" lottie said, looking into his eyes. eyes that lottie thought were heart shaped starring deeply into her soul. leaning on her tiptoes to kiss his soft sweet lips again.
the boy who was her boyfriend. the boy she loved. the boy who knew she loved him. her version of superman. at least its the same thing too lottie.
the end!!
I dont know if I want to make this into an au or leave it as it is. we'll see!
