So, if you haven’t seen on discord, we’ve decided to start a new lil hobby in this wonderful community. Welcome to Rumbelle Weekly Drabbles!! Oo I’m excited 🥳 . The task is as followed: send in your prompts, and then we’ll use those prompts to write a 100 word Drabble each week. I’m not entirely sure how this is done in other fandoms, but I’m taking the reins for this in this one. So I’m thinking, if you guys send in your prompts through the ask box, I’ll shuffle them up and make a list, and then that can be our prompt list for the month! And once this list has been completed, I’ll post it here on my account so it’s an easy find for anyone who wants to join in. 01. TRIGGERS + AGE LIMIT

i'm a multishipper that only accepts healthy relationships with solid chemistry. each ship is set in an entirely different universe. louise is bisexual as evidenced in the original comics. she only dates criminals or monsters which means i never ship her with heroes. i don’t write NSFW threads but i do make suggestive content if she's in a relationship.

07. PLOTTING

plotting will be optional at first interaction. if we do end up plotting, i expect for us to pull our weight in order for our muses to have a proper dynamic. my interest tracker is optional as well but it's there for you to fill in since it's a faster way of plotting/establishing a dynamic.

if we’ve plotted or established a dynamic: you’re welcome to send in anything in my inbox or tag me in random starters or posts. i’ll be doing the same thing. expanding an inbox reply as a thread is accepted as well, but you and i are not obliged to reply to it if we don’t want to.

08. FORMATTING

i prefer to go iconless on a reply. this doesn't mean you have to do the same. i only care about chemistry, writing and prefer our threads to be trimmed.

09. PORTRAYAL

my portrayal of louise will rely HEAVILY on canon divergence and is slightly influenced by mixed media. i draw inspiration from her appearance and personality from batman: assault on arkham and 80s firestorm comics which means frost will be a real asshole to deal with because she's a irredeemable villain but is friendly with monsters unless provoked.

10. DRAMA

this is a drama free blog. it will remain that way unless it's a very serious issue affecting the RPC. please do not drag me into your personal problems and ALWAYS tag negative OOC posts.

How I'd Make Tumblr More Profitable

Yes, this is going to be controversial, since I know nothing about the behind-the-scenes spending, economics, and all that jazz. But I've been on Tumblr for long enough to have a rough idea of the userbase wants - which is what positions Tumblr in a niche other sites don't really utilize. Most of the points I list here are about improving the experience of existing users, as keeping users might be harder for tumblr than attracting new ones.

Please note that this posts reflects my personal opinions and some stuff I've seen people complain about it. Do not attack me over anything I've written here, it's not worth my time and I will resort to blocking if I'm being bothered. Constructive criticism is fine and encouraged!

Features to Add

Block posts. Xkit has/had this feature, it was great. Sometimes I just don't want to see a specific post, and others probably agree with that.

Send asks and replies from sideblogs. Would literally make a lot of things easier and better.

Delete individual reblog additions from a post. Sometimes, you have a post where there is one"relevant" addition, multiple "irrelevant" additions ("yes!", "[repeated phrase in bold]", "this is a must reblog"), before there is a "relevant" addition again. But right now, you can only remove all reblog additions, not just individual ones. I feel like this would be a neat feature.

Direct blocking of anon hate which also tracks the IP and blocks the associated account(s). No rights for cowards, that's all I'll say.

Features to Bring Back

Reblog chains. Prev tags are the backbone of lots of interactions on here. If I click on someone's username in a reblog chain, I want to see that post on their blog, not their blog starting from the newest post. The loss of this feature is one of the things people constantly complain about in the replies of @changes.

Several text formatting options. As a theme maker, it would be nice to have proper preformatted text again - it makes code so much more legible. Other formatting options I miss are marked/highlighted text and text lines, which are really helpful to visually break apart passages of text.

Features to Ditch

Tumblr Live. There I've said it. If I want to see stuff like that, I have TikTok, IG Reels, Pinterest Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Twitter also has something like this. It's oversaturated, and aparently there are still enough cyber security concerns that it's not even accessible outside of the US and Canada.

Ads in lightboxes. Especially on mobile, there are already more than enough ads on the feed, no need to add more nested inside other elements.

Features that Make Money

Pay for NSFW. If this site allowed full nudity etc. again but hid it behind a paywall, we'd kill two birds with one stone: The site would probably still be allowed on the App Store, and the money influx would be huge. The userbase would also increase again.

(If Tumblr Live is kept.) Pay to snooze Tumblr Live permanently. It's the most complained about thing in changes' replies, so I feel like people would pay on a subscription base just to not see TL anymore.

Pay to increase limits. 250 posts per day is the maximum that can be posted - and there are people hitting those limits. If there was an option to buy a higher limit (500p/d, 750p/d, etc.), people might generally use it. Like those add-on charges for mobile data. Same goes for posts in the queue, posts in drafts, images in a photoset and so on.

Pay to pin posts at the top of a tag or search result. Ebay Kleinanzeigen has this neat feature where you can push your small ads to the top of a search query so that more people can see it. This could be a cool feature to try, as it would work in a more content-aware way than Blaze does.

Pay to buy inactive URLs. There are some really cool usernames on here that are taken by blogs that haven't updated for 5+ years and only have one post (or none at all), and I feel like it would be neat to be able to buy one of these cool usernames attached to an empty account. To make sure that usernames attached to redirect or something else don't get bought, tumblr should send an e-mail to the username owner - if the user doesn't react to that for 3 months, the usernames changed owners. Existing Features to Improve

NPF posts. I feel like a combination of legacy and NPF would be neat. Think selecting a main element like in the legacy editor (e.g. video, image, audio) and then adding a caption that can add different content types like NPF does. Or at least create a better overview over NPF variables and release the full base code with documentation to make things easier for the web designers on here. There are more issues with the NPF format but I won't list everything people dislike about it here.

Block people. The block feature should make sure that the person being blocked doesn't see any posts made by the person they were blocked by, even if those posts were reblogged by another user. Also, like IG does, there should be an option to block either just a specific blog or the IP address attached to block side-blogs and other accounts of that user.

Color palettes. The color palette options for the dashboard are generally a nice idea but I think it would be better if there was a dropdown menu to choose a palette from rather than having to click through all the different options. For example, if I want to go from Cement (light mode) to Dark mode, I have to click through 10 options until I reach Dark again. There has to be an easier way. [added 20th July 2023]

Other Improvements Needed

Nuke spam bots. Users are reporting all the spam bots, yet, it doesn't seem like they are dwindling in numbers. Also - at least this is how it's being perceived by the userbase - tumblr isn't doing enough on their end to reduce spam bots. This is definitely something that needs to be fixed.

End hateful and criminal activities. It's the year 2023, yet there are still outright N*zis, violent tr*nsphobes, literal p*dophiles, and other people committing to the daily bit of hate speech and other illegal activities (fraud too considering all those fake GoFundMe sites) on this website. I'm not saying free speech should be banned but there is a bright red line between what is free spech and what is hate speech (or should get you jailed considering fraud and p*dophilia).

A through-out, perhaps even interactive, beginner tutorial. "The site is too complicated to use for new users!" – then explain how it works in easy terms, with examples, images, and videos. Every other application or web app has walk-throughs, just do the same here.

Improved ad relevancy. The ads I see on tumblr are usually so out-of touch with the userbase, and many of them feel like the sort of stuff you see on a spam-ridden torrenting site. I feel like increasing the relevancy of ads to what the users usually blog about would cause a higher click-rate and turn-over-rate than the current ads do.

Summary

There is probably more I could add, but that's it for now. Should I make any later additions directly to this post, I will mention it to prevent misunderstandings. If you have any ideas or constructive criticism, let me hear about it in the replies or reblogs of this post.

Combat between muses is going to come up often on this blog given the muse and source material. If a thread starts to go in that direction, I require that we plot out the fight before proceeding, so that we can work together to write a scene that both goes the way we need it to for plot reasons, AND goes the way we want it to for fun reasons. The only exception to this is people I’ve written with for long enough that I feel we will not accidentally step on each other’s toes during a fight.

Disclaimers:

I do not and will never ship Tim with Bruce, Dick, Jason, Cass, Duke, or Damian. If you write batcest, I don’t care, but I will not follow you. If you follow me, I’m likely to soft or hard block. The only exception to this is multimuse blogs who have muses I want Tim to interact with, or blogs that have a clear line of separation between batcest and batfamily interactions. You’ll see it in my bio too, but I want to address it here as well: I actively dislike fanon, and it will have no place in my writing of Tim. I don’t care if your muse draws from fanon—you do you—but don’t be shocked if my Tim acts surprised or confused by fanon assumptions of him (ex: if your muse brings Tim coffee to drink, he will be very confused as to why that was the choice. Tim Drake is not a coffee drinker). I am not going to gatekeep your experience with comics, and I am never going to send you anything that might make you feel bad for how you write your character. I love everyone’s interpretations, and I like seeing different takes on them! I just think it’s courteous to put this note here to be fully open and honest.

“Sweetheart?” Zhongli asked, incredibly cautious with his following choice of words. “Are you…alright?”

“Fine, love,” you lied, sitting up to face him. “Just a little tired today, is all.”

He sighed and picked up your chin to look at him. “My dear, please talk to me,” he muttered, leaning down to kiss the crown of your head.

Something about how gentle his touch was broke your heart. You’d been stuck in bed all day and felt as if a weight held down all the muscles in your body—the warm blankets seemed much more convincing than getting up. All of the emotions you’d been pushing down for days erupted, causing a rather brutal mess of emotions.

You leaned in, resting your head against his stomach as you cried. He gasped quietly in his surprise but held you nonetheless, hoping to offer whatever comfort to you he could.

“My dear,” he muttered, stroking the top of your head. “I am so sorry for whatever has caused this.”

After a long moment, you hushed, and he took the opportunity to talk to you. He knelt and held your face in an attempt to get you to talk to him.

“Would you like to talk about it?” he asked, gentle words as kind as his touch.

You shook your head—it was too much right now. There was too much happening and you weren’t sure if you could talk about it, let alone try to.

“I will leave, if you would like. I will also stay if you would prefer that.”

You grabbed his hand before he could move away and squeezed it tight. Anything you could do to get him to stay right now, you would.

He offered a gentle smile and squeezed your hand in return. “I shall stay, then. Would you like to lie down?”

You didn’t want to let go of his hand, but laid down anyway for the sake of being comfortable. He shed his jacket and laid on the other side of the bed from you, facing you. Almost immediately, you curled into his side, laying your head on his chest and listening to the slow rhythm of his heartbeat.

Occasionally he’d pick his head up to kiss the top of yours, but other than that, neither of you moved much. You were perfectly content to fall asleep with him.

He must have felt you nodding off when he spoke up. “Go to sleep, my love,” he muttered. “I’ll be here when you wake up.”

You buried in closer and pulled the blankets up to your chin, soon falling asleep in his arms.

Hi everyone! This is Dani, manager of Daichi! I am 25+ old. So here are the rules No hate or drama – I don’t follow people who stir up either.

I usually follow back when it’s a fellow RP blog.

I do not rp smut with Minor RPERS ( That is illegal )

I don’t mind OCs or any fandom, but if it’s a fandom I don’t know about then I might send you an ask so you can help me fill in what the fandom is about if it’s confusing. It will help us both! Or maybe surprise me!

As for OCs! I love OCS. After all, I am rping OC. That said, I don’t mind characters that seem like “sues”. So if you're a rper who is worried about your OC being 'sue', please let me know so I can help out. After all, I know the feeling when starting out as OC rper. I believe as an artist and writer, RPers can help one another, especially when they’re new to the game! I think building an OC is a starting point, what they need is a journey. By 'journey' I mean by threads to see how your OC reacts with their surroundings and the world in general. I believe it's a good way to build character development. OCs never stay what they are at the beginning. They grow. After all, OCs are like our babies, right?

That said, if I notice that you do not wish to develop well-balanced characters when getting feedback after several threads, I can’t follow you or RP with you any longer if it's not working.

Godmodding is not permitted. I won’t do it, so don’t please do it either. However, certain situations with an OP muse ( especially canon muses)  are acceptable, but I would prefer to plot it out (especially in a fight scene) before your muse does anything to mine ( like who wins or loses or ending in a draw or the fight is interrupted by external factors).

As for the font sizes, I can change the font size to match your writing style in a thread if you wish. If my font or format is hard to read or the opposite, just ask!

I have some trouble with my grammar, but if we’re writing together, I invite you to correct it. Sometimes I get overly excited and write as fast as I think and even after double-checking, I might miss a few things like typos or grammatical errors. My apologies and please let me know if I have a typo or is there anything confusing to you, I make sure to fix it right away.

Please message me or inbox me if you have ideas for plotting. I love plotting threads and planning them.

If I made a mistake in the thread, or if the reply is at all confusing, please! Just PLEASE tell me in IM or ask and I can fix it! If there’s a need for any clarification, please ask me and I will answer right away.

I might not get to every one of my threads every single day. I am sorry for any delay, but I can’t write if I’m stuck and I can’t write if I’m pressured. I won’t pressure you, so please don’t pressure me. This should be fun, right?

I create supporting characters or NPCs ( characters that are part of the story thread to move the plot along, like think of it as a mission or case.). If you need clarification, please hit me up.

I also draw my own icons! This includes Eito and Daichi/Kisho. Please, please, please do not take them without permission. I put a lot of effort into them by drawing them.

Note: if I unfollow you which is HIGHLY unlikely for me to do so….please assume it’s a Tumblr glitch or misclick on mobile  ( like I misclick the follow button when I want to click on the ask button and then follow you back which is a likely cause ) which does happen. It happened to me a few times and to others as well. If I plan to unfollow you, I will soft-block you and not refollow after a week. Because of this, if you unfollow me whether I unfollow you first or not ( and I don’t remember that happening.) I will send you an ask to confirm if it’s a Tumblr glitch. If that is not the case, please ignore the ask and I will understand thinking it’s a softblock and I will move on after a week of waiting. There are times when tumblr glitch happens to me!

Interacting with Daichi/Kisho

I love fighting and serious rp, as well as crack! So I’m flexible!

I have no qualms about writing problematic and dark themes. I mean this is JJK, right? Things get crazy.

I don’t mind RPing action, gore, dark or anything! (romance is rare)

Speaking of romance, romantic relationships are rare for me. If you request one, it needs chemistry and time between our muses ( a slow burn) especially if they have incredible dynamics. I don’t like when relationships between our muses don’t develop and go straight to romantic without any reason. I do not mind if your muse wants to date my muses but you must ask and it needs to have a good reason why though. I recommend a good story with a reasonable plot that can possibly build up a romantic relationship between them over time. That said, I have the right to disapprove if I feel if it doesn’t work out.

As for other ships, I mostly prefer platonic, rivalry, mentorship, friendship, enemies, frenemies, dependence, familial, sisterhood, brotherhood, and bonding. Again, romance is pretty rare for me but I’m not against it, it just needs development between our muses to get there. 

That said, I do not ship adults with minor muses in romance ships.

One more thing! You have  FULL permission for your muses to hit and discipline Daichi/Kisho, if he does something stupid or says the dumbest things. It is allowed and encouraged. Sometimes that guy needs a reality check and it’s a way to pull the reins on him if he does something crazy that is dangerous. So if your muse has the urge to smack him upside the head or bonk him because he does or says something stupid, please feel free.

I love that the itch.io IF game community has grown immensely and has created mobile templates to make development easier. HOWEVER, as a mobile UX designer, I hate the mobile design of almost every single game I've played because the user experience is terrible. Interactive elements are generally too small and difficult to target with a touch screen, features are arranged non-intuitively, icons are not explained in a user friendly way, font sizes are too small, etc etc. So many of the choices I see are artistic ones and have been made for aesthetic purposes. I hate to be the one to rain on a parade, especially because I love the games I've played, but sometimes the experience makes it so difficult to enjoy the story being told. Since I'm not a beta tester, it feels like it's not my place to bring this up to devs since I feel that it is unsolicited criticism. Tl;Dr: IF games are amazing. Please find someone who designs UX for mobile apps/games to make the experience even better. Thanks for letting me confess in your ask box, gl with your writing!

Since you are someone who designs mobile UX, it's def normal to be more sensitive when it comes to play mobile version of IF. I am sure editors who read IF must cringe a lot reading our unedited stuff, or UI designers for desktop must cry about how our page looks.

Accessibility is tricky. It requires knowledge about what could need accessibility (colours, font, placement of things, etc...) and about how to implement it (code). Having the knowledge of one still need the knowledge of the second for it to work. I think the strive for more accessibility is quite recent in the IF (Tumblr) space, especially with Twine games. With more code/information being shared, though templates and tutorials, it's been a bit easier to think of this and have more people implement it. Still, it involves a lot of learning (on top of learning the IF program), which for a lot of hobbyist creators is not always available, or funds if you want to go the hire a designer route, which same. I think believe, while it could be better, we are slowly getting there.

I guess there is still a collaboration route, but that requires time/communication/willingness to share projects...

And honestly, there isn't as much useful information out there to create good UI, especially mobile version, that would work with IF programs. And, as much as I like to splash around in the puddle (it makes sense in French), I really wish there were more tutorials for mobile creation. Every system/format has their own tweaks, which makes some things incompatible or needing more specific knowledge.

For example: Twine/SugarCube has a built-in UI, which includes a decent-ish mobile UX, but if you want to change things, you need to learn to work around the built-in CSS; a lot of which is not compatible with Twine/Harlowe. So if you find code for Harlowe, it probably won't work for SugarCube.

Even with the templates, you need to know how it works to be able to edit it.

Though... It does seem you would be open to help us creators get better and help readers have nicer experience overall. I guess here are some ways you could do that to avoid ruffling feathers (or rain on the parade) :P

Participating in beta

Reaching out to creators and see if they want pointers (i.e. not just a list of what is wrong, but maybe solutions?)

Creating UX templates that is mobile compatible*

Creating tutorials focusing on UX and what to keep in mind for mobile viewing (like a do/don't do)*

*would probably need to make sure those are compatible with IF programs. but damn those would so useful

Also not every IF have to be mobile compatible. TTTT def can't.

I exclusively write fantasy, although I'll occasionally dabble in science fiction as well. I'm into both fanfiction and original works. I'm in the process of rewriting some of my older fanfiction, and uploading it to my Ao3.

Unless stated otherwise, all of my original characters are dark-skinned (black or brown). No exceptions. I love watching people of color going feral and fighting against oppressive regimes. It’s the only thing I write about and always will be.

How should a request ideally look like?

Be polite, specify wich miku (be it a actual miku variant or just a aesthetic) otherwise I’ll default to regular miku, and what you want her to say preferably short phrases

Will and won’t do’s?

Will do: different miku designs (the more specific the better), most unproblematic fandoms (unless I’m unfamiliar with it), slightly dark humour, different vocaloids but they’ll be lower priority

Wont do: extremely problematic fandoms, any kind of discourse discussions (this is a gimmick blog not debate class), any kind of hate speech, essentially anything against my morals or beliefs

What can/can’t be done with the art?

Can do: use it as pfp, as a reaction meme, like, reblog, show ur friends, eat it(metaphorically), put it on your wall, fold it like an airplane and much more

Can’t do: use it to feed ai, sell it, steal it, repost it on other platforms (exceptions sending it to your friend on messenger apps requires credit tho), use it without credit

just do this w your feet and hands and u practically know the basics

okay nova-wrens personal tips!! (for canine and feline quads, cant speak for avian)

ur legs will try and bow outwards, and it makes it very diffucult to do any form at all. youll notice that wolves and cats and stuff walk in very straight form so try and keep your legs together for easier mobility

PLEASE PLEADE PLEASEEE bend ur elbows if youre landing from a leap. ive learned the hard way, my wrists hate me. it is hard at first to remember ur elbows, and it amy tske a couple of wrist ouchie times for you to remember

also try leaps first on a soft surface like a bed or even in a body of water like a pool or the ocean (bonus, quads in the ocean r fun af)

always stretch before and after quads, its like any other sport, its very taxing (i will explain some specific stretches if needed)

dont go straight to leaping. learn to run/walk, then learn to pounce in place, the try smaller leaps before building up to the big boys

its okay if your shit at quads. i am. i am soso bad. but its fun and affirming. these people you see on the tikky tokkys have had yearss to practice, dont compare yourself this early. outlining this again: i am really shit at quads, because i am new

your paw form depends from person to person. personally i have mine in ur typical paw formation but my finger tips touch the ground instead of my knuckles. this is less hard on your knuckles, and also makes you more bouncy?? idk either. you can also completely have your palms flat to the ground, but dont do this if youre leaping it can literally break your fingers!!!

try and keep your form as long as possible if youre too scrunched you wont be able to move around as well

Mobile Rules

Hello there! Welcome to my rules post! These rules are password protected so please keep an eye out for it! You can send me an ask or DM me the password so I know you’ve read them and want to interact. This is a side blog so asks/follows will come from @sleepytime-muses, url for other blogs will be specified.

General roleplay etiquette applies. No god modding, no controlling my characters, etc. Literate roleplays are my go-to unless they are crack/joking with others and dash commentary. You are not obligated to match my length and vice versa, but do put some effort into the writing! I use icons as well that I make myself and format my lettering. If you want to write and find my formatting difficult to read, just let me know and I will happily use plain text. Also, if you are new to roleplaying/writing on Tumblr, I probably won’t write with you. I also prefer people who use XKit to trim posts and make them better to read. Do not approach me for strictly 18+ roleplays. Do not ask me to write characters for you that aren’t on my muse list, unless so prompted or we’re close. Do not ask me to write your harem for you.

Plotting is important to me, but not absolutely necessary. I enjoy knowing where to push the plot towards for better and more efficient writing. However, I am very capable of spur of the moment interactions so feel free to do either. If we’re mutuals, always feel free to send in ask memes and such I’ve reblogged even if we haven’t interacted before.

With my muses coming from all types of moral backgrounds, please don’t take anything said as beliefs or morals of the mun (Me.) Sometimes bad guys say bad things, sometimes good guys say bad things. I also write my characters the way I want to, which takes canon and inserts personal headcanons into blank spaces and such. I write as true to character as I can, but if you don’t care for how I portray them, then that’s fine. Take your business elsewhere! I’m gonna be sitting here playing dolls with others in peace.

Activity can be spacey. I love to write but irl responsibilities take priority. As a wage slave and an artist, I dip often. But I almost always lurk so feel free to send messages/asks. I promise I see them, its just getting around to them that’s the issue.

Original Characters and Crossovers can be hard for me to write with. Not impossible, just difficult. If I believe I can’t properly write with your character, I will let you know when you show interest. If you write a character from a franchise I’m not familiar with, I’m also less likely to write with you. I hate going in the dark when it comes to writing partners. A bio page is a great start for anything oc or non-canon related. Also, I have no issues with people who make self inserts, but I do not write with them at all. Please don’t approach me if your character is a self insert.

Triggering content will be tagged, if you have specific triggers that are uncommon I will tag them for you with a tw [CONTENT] tag. I try to pay attention to other people’s rules and general discomforts, so if I write something you don’t want to see, I’ll do my best to tag. I’m not perfect though, so let me know if I need to do something.

I love shipping. Anything NSFW will be taken to my nsfw blog. This includes adult cartoons or triggering characters that I want to keep off my main. I will not write anything NSFW with minors, it is an 18+ blog. I prefer to write with people who are 18+ already in any case. I am multi-ship so feel free to initiate with any character. Certain aspects of my characters’ personalities, backstories, etc are headcanon-based, especially in the event where there are things that have not been explained/established by canon. Certain characters may also be canon divergent.

2. NSFW content will be present. I’ll tag triggers, but not NSFW. I don’t do smut unless it’s with someone I trust and know extremely well, but I’ll write most of what leads up to it. (Making out, getting handsy, etc.) If things get to a point where I’m no longer comfortable writing, I’ll probably request a timeskip or fade out.

3. Mun does not equal muse.

4. As I said I tag triggers. The tagging system I use is (trigger tw) with no parentheses. If there is a specific trigger you would like me to tag, shoot me a DM. I don’t have many triggers, aside from graphic motor vehicle accidents.

5. I have a job that stresses me the fuck out. Five days a week. Unpredictable timing. I don’t always have the spoons to be online and/or productive. I might disappear for days/weeks/months on end. That isn’t my intention, of course, but it’s happened before and it’s likely to happen again. Please be patient with me. 8. I don’t format my posts a whole lot beyond bold, italics, strikethroughs, and/or fun colors, and I probably won’t always use icons. I do try to cut my posts, but I mainly am on mobile, so I may forget from time to time. I don’t like using small text or unnecessary spacing. I don’t know how to use fancy fonts other than the ones in the normal dropdown menu. You can do whatever you want, as long as I’m able to read it without my eyes hurting.
