these choices are presented by an entity that sounds like john, whom we call booth!john because we envision him in a soundbooth handling the recordings. his bit is cut from the public episodes, but kayne has alluded to the polls and they seem to be what arthur means by the "gut feelings" that compel him to a certain course of action.

ANYWAY, WITH ALL THAT ESTABLISHED, the patreon poll for ch.143 (hide from collins in the crowd or try to trap him in the caboose and decouple it?) was so heavily debated that people started writing poetry about the whole affair, so my hand was forced aaaaand i started making limericks lmao

Seeking Possible Friendships

I am here to seek out possible friendships. I had many friends before, but now I am looking for something specific that I don't currently have and wish I did. This friendship would need communication, respect, and an education on racism/bias because I can't deal with ignorance on the subject. My dream job is to be an actor not a teacher. I am asking for possible friendships, but understand we just might not click.

For this friendship, I will let you know I am more sociable on some days than others. I will not always be in the mood for conversation and I hope you will accept that. And sometimes, I'm just not on my phone (especially nowadays). I also do not want to be anyone's partner so if I feel like you are becoming clingy to a point where you feel like you should be the only thing I pay attention to then I will swiftly remove myself from the situation.

A little about my love language. I love playing games with friends. Video games, board games, etc. If you are into something, I will immediately try to hop onto it. I might not like it, but I will give it a chance if you like it. I'm not the most talkative so doing activities is the best for me to get to know other people, but I'm fine to just talk.

Aroace-- I just want to have conversations that don't deal with relationships all the time

Activist--not performative, I want someone who would show up to protests with me (if I had a car) and someone who actually boycotts when it's called for

Not a pr* sh*pper-- I had a really bad experience with one "friend" where they really derailed if you get what I'm saying and I just don't feel super comfortable because I don't want to ever go through that again where they claim it's just fiction and then they start doing said things in fiction in real life (but as long as you don't talk about it or argue with me about it and don't start acting out what you're reading I can maybe get past it we'll see that's why it's a bonus instead of a requirement)

it's important to remember that dogs are predators (some of them large predators) that can be dangerous and to treat them accordingly. yes, even dogs you know. yes, even dogs you know really well. yes, even your own dogs. if you ever take it for granted that a dog couldn't hurt someone then you're putting the dog, yourself, and other people in danger.

but you can remember that and live by that without it damaging your relationship with dogs. in fact, it makes the relationship even better: instead of treating them like babies, you are meeting them in a place of respect. this is especially helpful whenever you get a new dog, because you go into this new partnership knowing that you have to take certain steps (training, socialization, etc) that will not only make things safer and easier for everyone involved, but will also help ease any anxieties or fears the animal might have.

people take just about any animal for granted, especially animals you can purchase as pets, and dogs get a lot of shit they don't deserve because of it. you are not entitled to dogs. they're not human babies. treating them like they are makes their anxieties worse, encourages reactive behaviors, and unnecessarily puts people at risk of their reactive behaviors. meeting them where they are and being willing to put work into them if you are their handler and if you're not listening to their handlers' wishes in regards to them will give them much happier lives in the long run.
