BLUE BOY! ♡
synopsis : [name] meets someone a little… captivating while waiting for a friend from housen. kantou!mikey in mind.
if you have a blank blog [no bio, no user, no header or profile pic, nothing reblogged, etc] do not interact with my content. you will be blocked.
The streets of Shibuya welcome you jubilantly. You browse store’s windows with pursed lips, remembering what caught your eye and what you think others would like. With a vibrated chime, your phone beckons for your attention, drawing it away from the necklace you’re looking at.
yuken !!
omw
see u there shortly
Scrunching your nose in excitement, you grin and send a simple heart back. He’ll know what it means — will know how happy you are to see him. Humming happily, you continue your small stroll, keeping an eye out for blond hair or the store you’re meant to meet at — whichever comes first.
A crash interrupts your quiet afternoon. You ignore it, only watching from the corner of your eye as a tattooed boy runs past ; he’s followed by a few others. You shrug, deciding to mind your business and keep your eye out for your close friend.
As you turn, a flash of shoulder length blond hair catches your attention. With a grin, you race after him and tap on his shoulder excitedly. “Didn’t think you’d sneak pas— huh?”
Except, the guy turning around is not Odajima Yuken.
Soulless, enticing black eyes meet yours. He raises an eyebrow — you jerk your hand away from his shoulder, his touch suddenly burning you. It feels like you’re the only two ; like an entire city has disappeared and left you in the rubble.
Gulping, you try to reign in your shocked expression, composing yourself clumsily. “Sorry, I—“
“You know this person, boss?” Someone new stands to his right. Black hair is styled in a sort-of-mohawk way, red lining his eyes until it’s pointed into a wing. He looks you over, lips curving as he does. “Not bad…”
Blackened eyes still haven’t left your figure. “I don’t.”
“I thought you were someone else,” you speak quickly. Your palms feel sweaty ; itchy with the stares piercing into you. You want nothing more than to get away from this situation ; to get away from the blond in front of you. “I’m so sorry. I’ll leave now.”
The call of your name stops you, freezes you in place. Yuken strolls up casually, his hands in his pockets. He eyes your company, “making friends?”
“Ah.” The dark haired boy speaks. He goes from the stranger to Yuken and back again. “Makes sense. They do look alike.”
Your eyes find his once more and you freeze again before looking away. “Again, I’m really sorry.”
Turning quickly, you wrap a trembling hand around the inside of Yuken’s elbow, halfway dragging him away. Get out of this situation ; get away from them. You let out a small breath of relief — you can still feel his eyes on you.
Your name is called again, quieter this time.
Kokonoi hums, looking at his boss in question. “Something up?”
Mikey doesn’t answer, simply stares after you. As you look back one last time, you can’t figure out the tingling you feel. Can’t understand why the stranger behind you emits such an odd response from you.
The right side of his mouth tilts up as you flinch and look away. “Cute.”

March version drawn by @estellardreams
With my tumblrversary (and new sona design 👀) coming tomorrow, I thought it would be fun to look back at all the different versions of my sona throughout the years!
July 2023 version
December 2023 Version
March 2024 Version
Closeups and breakdown under the cut! :D
Version 1! This was the original drawing of my sona that I made for a story I was writing with my friends wherein we ourselves were the main characters. This drawing has the same straight cut bangs that I had back then. I designed the dress to be simple and not overly flashy. It's supposed to be white with gold borders. Then we have the wings, which have always been my favorite part of my sona, the gold feather necklace, and the gold band hidden under my bangs which was supposed to act as a crown. I also hid my hands behind my back because I didn't want to draw them. XD This design was supposed to mimic my irl appearance and it did fairly good job! The only thing missing is my glasses from back then.
Version 2! This one was an updated take on the first version. My art style had changed a bit, so I wanted to draw a better looking picture of my sona. Other than the art style, not much has changed here. The design is still essentially exactly the same. My hair got longer though.
Version [????] I didn't include these in the history pic because I forgot them, but these were two iterations that I did in between version 2 and 3 for thumbnails on my YT channel. They're both once again trying to be an accurate representation off my irl appearance (though once again my glasses weren't included. The first one was an attempt at a chibi art style which I never did again. The second one sat unfinished in my sketchbook for a while before my cousin visited one day and offered to help me color it. We took a picture of it on her ipad and then traced and colored it in whatever drawing program she was using. I played around a bit with the shirt, making it a white into black gradient and brought back in the feather motif because I've always liked feathers. This one stayed my profile pic on yt for a long time.
Version 3! Massive skip in time and drawing style here! This one was designed specifically so I could have an updated sona for when I joined tumblr. (I planned getting my account for months before I finally worked up enough courage to actually do it.) Once again, I wanted this sona to be an accurate representation of what I look like irl. Though THIS time I'd finally gotten contacts so the lack of glasses finally made sense! I'd also gotten a new style of bangs so I incorporated that into the design as well. I brought back the feather as a necklace because I've always liked it. Though for whatever reason I got rid of the wings???? Why. Why did I do that. I love them so much! I shortened the length of my hair back to something closer to version 1 as well. And fun fact about this one! By this point I'd gotten decently good at drawing Sonic characters, so I used my knowledge of how to draw them to draw this version of my sona. XD I wasn't concerned anymore about drawing in a realistic way and leaned into a more cartoony artystyle.
Version 4! honestly, this one was just me wanting to do a Christmas version of my sona. XD Gave myself a cozy Christmas sweater and a Santa hat! I also took my favorite golden feather and tucked it behind my ear. I honestly really like how it looks! (I also messed up the shade of brown for my hair, but oh well.)
Version 5!! Estelle drew this for me and I still love it so much!!!!! I didn't request this of her, she just drew it! I mentioned in a post that I needed a new icon since it was MARCH and I was still using my Christmas pic. XD Next thing I know Estelle is kicking down my door asking me if I wanted her to draw me a new icon. I made sure to specifically request that she include my wings since I'd finally realized how dumb it was that I'd taken them out. But other than that, I let Estelle do what she wanted and I'm SO happy with how it came out!! I really wish I'd used this one for longer, but then April Fools came along and I hopped on the pointing Sonic icon bandwagon. XD But anyway, I'm still very happy and thankful to Estelle for drawing this for me. :D
Annnnnd that catches us up to the present! What will the new version look like? You'll have to wait for tomorrow. :D

thinking about the shoyru post and shoyrus in general... shoyrus were one of the only things i drew when i was 15 bc i was obsessed with dragons and shoyrus were simple to draw... I also had A LOT of them in my accounts and in my mind as OCs...
i want to show you all a relic i still have with me
yep i made a base in paint to draw all my shoyru character and these aren't even all of them fbdshjkb there's one that's even a rip off from a character of an anime i don't actually recall watching
of these only Elyon, Michiyo and NEOF9 were real neopets, one shoyru i had named Arya (whose name was framed by underscores or something similar i believe), Michiyo and NEOF9 still exist in accounts i no longer have access to, Elyon (who had x's framing her name... i think it was something like xXx___Elyon___xXx) and another shoyru that doesn't appear here named Bloodfire66 were erased in the purge... and those two were actually my most favorite pets of all i had so i was really sad when i came back and searched "bloodfire66" to find nothing existed by that name :c
in rememberance of my lost children let me post some old art i just found of them looking for that first pic
first one is Elyon, red one with purple hair is Bloodfire66 and the one with the yellow bandana is Arya... I think she still has this drawing on her pet profile actually
#my art from 2007-2010 really was something...#my art#yeah it's still my art fndskj#i was just discovering the magic of photoshop#i didn't know graphic tablets existed#i painted all of these with mouse#OH and no layers bc i didn't know how to use them#neopets#shoyru

PLEASE REBLOG FOR AWARENESS- S*X BOTS:
So, only recently, in the past week I've been getting a lot (and a lot, for my blogs, is six) of random followers, and it was making me a little suspicious, so in the end I just decided to check everything out and see what was going on.
I mean, did a post of mine do really well or something? Did someone tag me a bunch of times? Did someone reblog something?
NO.
I checked who had followed me recently, and, low and behold, it was: bots! How great.
But what was even worse, was that these were s*x bots (I'm censoring some words to keep my blog somewhat safe). S*x bots.
So since I've seen a lot of these over the past few weeks, I've decided to put together a little of what I've found. It's nothing new- and it's pretty much common knowledge- but hopefully it might help a few people out (especially since I'm one of many people who try to keep their blog safe from harmful, or 18+ content) and maybe even help keep some people a little safer here on Tumblr
So, here we go:
PROFILE PICTURES AND USERNAMES:
First of all, check the pfps and usernames. Sometimes they'll be something like "d3rtyg1rl", but not always. Other times it'll be something like "sangdori" or "jpi011" (those are two real accounts that followed me, I've just changed one or two of the letters in them)- so something that sounds like a regular Tumblr account to tebe average user. So if the username checks out as 'normal', the next thing to look at, is the profile picture.
These, similar to the usernames, and all the other things I'm going to mention, may seem normal at first. Some of them may be fluffy kittens (a lot of them are "generic"), others may be a seemingly innocent selfie, a few of them are just blank Tumblr and some are just... straight-up 18+ photos. So be aware that not all of them are going to be easy to spot right away.
LIKES, FOLLOWS AND UPLOADS:
Right, so now we've come to the part where you've checked out the usernames and profile pics, and they both show no signs of anything sinister. Good- now, if you're still suspicious, it's time to check the actual account itself.
The first thing you might want to take a look at, is the content they've uploaded, or in some cases haven't uploaded, onto their blog. This is where things can get deceiving. Many of these accounts have just one "generic" post- such as slime, kittens, glitter, etc (usually these are eye-catching things, which means it can draw people, especially children, in)- immediately followed by some sort of sexual content underneath that, usually in the form of a nude photo or p*rn (some are obscured, though most aren't), which catches you off-guard, to say the least.
Now, as I said before, not all of these bot accounts are the same. Some don't have any uploaded content at all- this is where checking their Likes page comes in.
(And I'm aware that this may sound like we're stalking someone's account at this point, but trust me, we're not. We're just trying to keep ourselves safe- and these are not people, remember, they're bots. Bots don't care, bots don't have feelings. Bots don't care if we block them). So, back to the point, the next thing we check is the Likes pages.
Now, some of these pages will be purely 18+ content, as you would expect. Just straight-up p*rn links, or nude photos. But others, however, seem innocent at first... that is, until you scroll down the page. Usually, it's just liked photos of (again, the generic, and eye-catching stuff) some cute animals, a GIF of slime, or a popular meme, but if you scroll down a little further underneath that, you'll see that same innapropriate content all over again.
Though again, as with all the other things I've mentioned, some of these liked pages seem fine upon inspection, which is where we move onto the final thing to check if what you're seeing is a bot account: the following page.
To be quite simple... this is where you'll need to look at a bunch of accounts all over again... hooray! If you find that some of the accounts seem suspicious from just looking at the pfps and usernames, then great, that usually means you know that the account you were originally looking at is a bot account, and you can block them and be done with it (and even if you're not entirely sure, blocking them will keep you safe, and besides, it doesn't hurt anyone- believe me, your safety takes 100% priority over having that one extra follower).
But, if you can't tell just by looking at them, and you're still suspicious, and you don't want to just block the original account you were looking at... then this would be the time do all of the above again (checking likes, following pages, and content) just to make sure.
If you don't find anything else suspicious, then congratulations, it's probably not a bot account, and you don't have to worry about it. But again, if you ARE worried, then PLEASE do just block and/or report, the account. It's better to have one less follower, than be unsafe, or have to feel uncomfortable.
SO, I THINK IT'S A BOT ACCOUNT, NOW WHAT?
Now, if you've been through all of the above, and/or you're pretty sure that what you've seen is a bot account, then it's time to either block it, or report it.
To block an account, simply tap on the little 'human/person' icon in the top right of that specific account, and tap 'block' (note: this will only report them from one of your blogs. If you want to block them from another, or all of your blogs, you'll have to add them to the block list for taht specific blog). To report someone instead, just tap 'report'.
So, you might be wondering: what's the difference between reporting someone and blocking them?
Well, I'll tell you as best as I can. Blocking someone means:
They won’t be able to follow your blog, or send you fan mails or asks to your blog, and they won't be able to see your blog’s posts in their Dashboard. In addition to that, neither will they be able to like, reblog, or reply to your posts, and your blog won’t show up in their search results. It's a really good option.
They'll still be able to read your posts if they somehow come across them, but they can't interact/reblog them- at all. The only way people would even know you've blocked them is if they find that they get denied permission to interact with your blog- but remember, the chances of the finding out that youve blocked them is VERY slim, if it even happens at all (though remember we're talking about bots here though, not actual people, I just thought it would be useful information to include anyway).
Alright, so now onto reporting someone. Reporting someone means that:
The account will receive an email stating that they've posted banned content and must take it down. Tumblr will then still automatically take it down, and the account either gets suspended or deleted.
I would say that reporting the s*x bots would be the best thing you can do in this situation (you can still block them afterwards), seeing as the account will hopefully then be taken down (instead of just blocked on your blog) after being reviewed, which could help keep Tumblr at least a little safer once it does.
And just in case you were wondering: no-one will know if you've reported their account. The only way they'll know they've been reported (and they won't know who reported them) is if their content gets taken down or if their account is deleted- so don't worry about people accusing you of reporting them, as Tumblr keeps it anonymous anyway.
(Again, I've only added that part as useful information, seeing as s*x bots aren't real people and therefore won't care if they've been blocked or reported.)
There's more information about reporting and blocking people, along with Tumblr's policies and guidelines here, if you need it:
https://iheartmob.org/resources/safety_guides/tumblr_guide
Right... so I think that just about covers everything I wanted to say. If there's anything I've gotten wrong, or you think you could add on to, just drop a note or reblog this to help. After all, I don't know everything about these s*x bots, and just writing from my experience and what I've noticed about them. So help and/or additional information would be greatly appreciated.
I'm just fed up of seeing them everywhere and them making me think I've got a new follower who's actually interested in the blogs I make, when it's actually just a not trying to take me to some random p*rn website. It's wrong. So I just decided to write about my frustrations.
Now, Tumblr, if you could please sort your shit out, that'd be great, thank you very much, and we can all get on with our day.
If you've read this far, thank you very much for your time, and I hope I've managed to help you at least somewhat when it comes to dealing with these types of things in the future, or maybe just given you a little more awareness about how to stay safe on Tumblr, and other similar sites.
Anyway, I hope y'all have a wonderful day, and that you stay safe. Happy new year, too! 💛💙

CHARACTER PROFILE:
[At least] 3 Headcanons for your character:
Tw: child abuse
To most, Jack was a weird kid. He was tiny, pale and barely ever said a word. At least not around most people. He was a late talker, clearly understood harder words but refused to use any both simple words. When it became it wasn’t going to improve, his parents turned to their paediatrician and not long after, he was diagnosed with a speech disorder. Even with speech therapy, talking was a struggle and it didn’t help that his father clearly had trouble understanding his son at all the way his other parent and brother did. His dad seemed pissed off whenever he did talk, but also seemed pissed off whenever he didn’t talk – but Jack couldn’t remember another side of his dad; as soon as he understood that there was something wrong with his son, Cooter’s abuse almost seamlessly started to include Jack too. Things did change after the divorce, but there was still school with the bullies who wouldn’t leave him alone. He was a lonely kid, only getting his first proper friend when a new kid with a severe stutter moved to the area and two years later, they were four friends. They all had their issues with speech but as much as there was safety in being able to have friends you didn’t always have to actually talk out loud to… it was even more safety in trying to get that word right when everyone else in the room is trying to get some other word right too. Jack honestly don’t know where he would be without his three best friends, and it’s making college seem even more terrifying – he gets most words right now, but for the first time in a decade, he is alone again; none of the four attending the same college. But as terrifying as it feels… it’s hard not to be excited.
Jack absolutely loves writing and drawing; even now, it is in the written word that he truly feels his own voice come alive – with nothing to hold him back. But he draws most of the time, mostly fanart or for D&D campaigns, but also elaborate class note illustrations. He always has a notebook with him, and his fingers are often stained with ink in different colours.
He loves history in general, but is particularly passionate about certain periods, like the golden age of piracy and the wild west. He’s not entirely sure what he wants to do with his life yet, but to be a history professor who spends his day researching and doing projects… that would be ideal.
Since his early teens, he’s been talking more and more. Sure, mostly to the people he knows but for the last few years, it has barely been a minor struggle; he has his tricks, and when it doesn’t work, he’s often confident enough to just laugh it off and start again.
He has been playing Dungeons and Dragons since he was about twelve, and still has online sessions with his friends even as they all attend college in different parts of the country.
Since day one, he has been close with Sheldon. His dad struggled when he was younger, but he always seemed to know what Jack wanted to say, at least the gist of it. He knows Sheldon doesn’t really care, but he always felt guilt for his lack of athletic talent. But even though it mostly started as a hopeful way to please Sheldon, he is actually somewhat passionate about football, finding himself missing the games they used to go to before he left for college.
He didn’t really think about boys or girls at all, not like that, until he and one of his best friends kissed. It was a magical moment for Jack, even if the kisses never really lead to anything more. Still, he is worried that was his one chance to be with someone who understands him and accept him just as he is.
STUDENT CENSUS SURVEY:
What made you want to attend Joie University?
I don’t know. My dad went here and he really enjoyed it, so… also, it seems rather neat, so I figured if I was going to feel comfortable yet adventurous, this was a good place to go for.
What are at least 3 positive or neutral and at least 3 negative traits that you believe you possess? Which of your traits do you value most?
I’m just going to go with what my dad tells me; he says I’m dedicated, resourceful and uh, that I have a very active imagination. That last part was meant to be at least mostly positive. But he always likes to use words like messy, reserved and sensitive. He said sensitive like it was a good trait, but I can’t really see how it could be. I guess my best trait is my imagination.
How can that trait benefit the University (or its student body) as a whole?
I don’t know. I’ll keep the tabletop culture on campus alive?
What do you hope to gain from your experience at JU?
An education. I guess.
What is a quote or song lyric that describes you?
“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.”

How To Make A Brilliant Instagram Profile Picture
Want an awesome Instagram profile picture?
While small and insignificant in the mobile photo stream, it’s gained prominence with profile pages on the web. You’ll want to ensure yours is at its best!
Did you know that people draw conclusions about a person from their photo in as little as ?
That’s less time than it takes to say “milliseconds!”
The small size of the Instagram dp along with the split second you have make a good impression means you must optimize your profile photo.
These tips are applicable to ALL social media profile pictures. I strongly recommend keeping your avatar the same on all your business accounts.
Instagram business profile picture
Facebook Page profile picture
Pinterest business profile picture
Twitter business profile picture
LinkedIn profile picture
Gravatar for blog comments
And so on. Be consistent and recognizable.
I recommend a photo over a logo, with these possible exceptions:
You’re doing marketing for a recognizable brand.
You represent a multi-employee company.
You wish to appear more established on your LinkedIn company page.
More details below. Read on!
When did you last check your Instagram Profile Picture?
You may have originally connected Instagram with your Facebook account and imported that personal profile picture. If you plan to use Instagram for marketing, you need a more professional look.
I set up my in December 2012 – and had my Facebook profile pic of me in a Santa hat up for almost a year!
When I finally got active on Instagram, I discovered that the Instagram profile photo doesn’t change when it’s changed on Facebook. If you go with something seasonal, you’ll need to update it on Instagram too.
This post was originally published on November 5, 2014 and rewritten February 21, 2018, and March 5, 2019.
10 Tips to a Perfect Profile Picture
Below are my profile picture best practices, from start to finish.
1. Show your face as your Profile Picture
Put a personal face on your business – unless you’re a known brand, or your business is widely recognized by your logo, use your face as your Profile Photo.
People don’t “connect” with a logo – they connect with a face. People actually tend to ignore logos, but are hard-wired to pay attention to faces. It’s only human!
These businesses should show their face:
Coach or consultant.
Solopreneur or freelancer.
One-on-one service providers.
Influencers (or influencer wannabes).
Build the know-like-trust factor on social media by using a headshot, not a logo.
Resist the temptation to show something “cute” as your avatar, especially if it doesn’t relate to your brand. Your face is your best calling card.
However if a logo is a must, be sure it fits in a circle!
If you have a strongly horizontal logo, you may need to place it on a square background first. If possible, rework or stack it so it’s not too tiny to read.
You don’t need to upload a circular image! Just remember the corners will disappear and size accordingly.
2. Choose a flattering background
A neutral or muted background works best. Keep it simple – you don’t want a bunch of clutter in the background competing for attention.
If your background has a color, make sure it’s one that flatters you. I can’t tell you how much I fought with the greenish cast on my face from the avocado room I was photo’d in.
3. Find a soft light source
Your best bet is near a window, or in open shade outside (that means bright shade). Then, face the light!
Backlights are tough to master. Spotlights and strong flash will create harsh shadows.
You can try adding “fill” light with a flash exposure, but it’s best not to use it as the main source of light.
4. Go “pro”
For best results, hire a pro to take some great headshots. If that’s not in the budget, get a friend with a good camera, a good eye, and a steady hand.
If you want people to take you seriously as a businessperson – DO NOT put up a sloppy “selfie.” Make sure your photo is crisp and clear, and you look professional.
If you must take your own portrait, use a timer. Beware: your phone’s self-facing camera tends to distort your face.
5. Clothes make the brand
While we won’t be showing much of your outfit (unless you’re a model), do wear something near your face that fits your brand aesthetic.
Adventurers, dress for adventure.
Beachpreneurs / laptop lifestylers can dress for the beach.
Public speakers and corporate consultants should dress like they’re ready to take the stage or speak to the CEO.
Bonus points if you wear your brand color! Plus, it’s definitely a “plus” to carry your brand colors and aesthetic through your Instagram dp and gallery.
6. Smile and show some personality!
While you DO want to look businesslike, you DON’T want to look staid and unapproachable.
Remember that people do business with people they know, like, and trust. The first step to being likeable is to smile. Make eye contact, and show your personality in your pose!
Positive vibes attract. Neutral expressions are boring. Photo credit:
7. Experiment with angles
Beware a low angle. No one really wants to look up your nose, and you don’t need a double chin either.
Try from a little above, and tilt your head at various angles too. Take a bunch of photos and then choose your best look.
8. Crop to POP
A profile picture mistake I often see is showing too much of the body, which makes the face quite small. In the photo stream, your Instagram profile photo is tiny. Crop to head and a bit of shoulders.
It’s not about your hair and clothing, it’s about your face – that’s what will draw people in, and help them recognize you as they see you time and again!
9. Represent
How about including a small prop that expresses what you do? Examples:
Camera for a photographer
Makeup brushes for makeup artist / vlogger
Pretty pen for a writer
Mic for a public speaker
Tool for a building contractor
On my personal Instagram account, where I post a lot of flower photos, I wear a flower crown. On my personal Facebook, I became known as the Hat Lady for often wearing intriguing little hats.
You’ll have to play with props to see if it works for you.
10. Retouch!
Any professional photographer will tell you that every photo looks better with a bit of retouching.
If theirs need it, how much more do ours?
The good news is, you don’t need to be a Photoshop wiz!
You can do quick and easy edits with PicMonkey.
I wrote about it: learn more about magicalPicMonkey portrait retouching here.
Ready to retouch? Try PicMonkey FREE for a week!
I’m a PicMonkey affiliate and will earn a referral fee if you purchase.
What’s the best Instagram Profile Picture Size?
The Instagram DP size is a mere 152 pixels in diameter on desktop.
On a phone, it’s a scanty 110.
I recommend you start with a larger image! A 500 pixel square will work on any social network.
You can upload any size image, and scale and crop as you wish.
You do not get an option to add filters, but if you first post the photo to your Instagram stream, you can use a filter at that time.
Then Choose from Library >> Instagram album when changing your profile pic. Instagram will even show you the circular cropping.
How do I add an Instagram profile picture?
How do I add an Instagram profile picture, or change my current picture, from my mobile device?
You can take a new photo or add a photo from your phone’s photo library, Facebook, or Twitter.
If you choose to import from Facebook or Twitter, Instagram will use the same photo you’re already using as your profile picture on that social network.
To add or change your profile picture:
Go to your profile.
Tap Edit Profile > Change Profile Photo (iOS) / Change Photo (Android).
Select where you’d like to import your picture from.
Move or size the image within the circle cropping.
When you’re satisfied, tap Done (iOS) or Next (Android).
You can take a new photo or add a photo from your phone’s photo library or Facebook. If you choose to import from Facebook, Instagram will use the same picture you’re already using for your Facebook profile.
How do I add or change a profile picture on Instagram on the web?
You can also add a profile picture or change your current one when viewing Instagram on the web. To add, delete, or change your profile picture:
Tap or click
.
Tap or click your profile photo or the blank circle next to your username.
Choose to upload a new photo or remove your current one.
Bonus Tip: Update your Bio
Your bio will get more exposure with the branded vanity URL on the web, and the searchability of a web page. Make sure your bio is current, and includes your keywords!
Don’t forget to include the URL to your email list opt-in.
is an awesome service that lets you offer your Instagram followers as many links as you want! I would keep it to a handful so you don’t overwhelm people with choices. Place your latest or most important at the top.
You can easily “turn off” links you’ve set up and save them for later.

I really love how you do the Instagram pics💖💖 is there like a template you follow?? I would love to try and do it!
I don’t really have a template, but what I do is pretty simple. Here’s a mini tutorial that will hopefully help you and anyone else who wants to do this! \(^▽^)/
The first step is the easiest. Go on Instagram on your phone, find a post where the picture matches the size of the one you want to use, and take a screenshot! Then, email the screenshot to yourself or transfer it using any other method to your computer, and you’re ready to start making your edit!
Tip: If you don’t want it to show ‘Liked by *somebody’s name* and *some number* others’, take a screenshot from an account nobody you follow follows.
I use GIMP when editing my pictures, but you can also use Photoshop or any other editing programme. So, what I do first of all is crop my screenshot so it looks like this:
Then, I open my picture in a second layer and move it on top of the picture that’s on the post.
Tip: Have your picture already cropped and edited the way you want it to make things easier.
Now that you have your picture on the post, all that’s left to do is change the username, caption and profile picture to what you want! For the text, you should have the font Instagram uses, Proxima Nova (download it here). I recommend starting with changing the username.
Type the username of your choice using your programme of choice’s text tool, change the font to Proxima Nova and make the text bold. Use this HTML notation 262626 for the text’s colour so that it’s the same with what’s actually used on Instagram. Then, lower the opacity to 50 and move the new username on top of the old username like this, increasing or decreasing the font size so that it looks similar to the actual post:
Sidenote: On GIMP the font size is 26-27, but it might be different if you use Photoshop or any other programme.
After putting the username in the right position, change the opacity back to normal and click on your original post layer. Take your brush tool with the colour white and draw over the username to erase the old one.
Repeat the process for the second username and then do the caption using the same font and colour (HTML notation 262626), but do not make the text blod for this one. You can also add hashtags to your caption, but use this HTML notation 326b96 for the colour instead. Final product should look like this:
Changing the profile picture is also rather simple. Open the picture you want to use as a new layer and use the ellipse select tool (or ellipse tool in Photoshop) to crop it into a circle. Then keep making it smaller and smaller until it fits on top of the old profile picture just perfectly (you can make its opacity 50 to help you with that too). And that’s it, you’re done!
I really hope this was helpful. I sort of assumed that you know the basics of using a photo editing programme, so if there’s something you didn’t understand or would like me to explain something more, don’t hesitate to message me! (◠‿◠✿)
I just realised that in creating this tutorial I created some sort of a template haha feel free to use this if you want instead of taking screenshots from Instagram yourself

Gucci snapchat
Snapchat is one of the fastest-growing social media platforms. Snapchat’s users doubled after the introduction of Stories, going from 200 million monthly active users to over 400 million in 2018.
Snapchat’s popularity shouldn’t be ignored by businesses. Active users tend to spend 30 minutes on the app.
78% of users are young (18-24) and almost 70% are female. Meaning Snapchat is a great place to engage with one of the most sought-after market segments in the world—millennial women.
Young people are a valuable market. Putting your brand in front of them not only drives engagement now, but you’re creating a brand loyalty with the generation that will soon hold the majority of the world’s wealth.
Let’s take a look at how Snapchat can get your brand in front of new potential customers.
Snapchat basics
Snapchat is a photo and video sharing app that sends content to selected friends for a short period of time. Once your friend receives your “snap,” it disappears within 1 to 10 seconds.
You can also use Snapchat to video chat with friends who are also active in the app.
Snapchat’s Story feature allows you to put videos and images on a single feed for friends to scan through and watch as many times as they like.
After 24 hours, anything uploaded a Story is deleted.
You can also send text messages within the app. They’re also deleted after a short period of time.
One of the things that makes Snapchat so unique is that the content isn’t permanent. It’s a brilliant concept because it means there’s always something new that users need to engage with.
What does that impermanent content mean for your business? For starters, it means that the content style is more laid back. You’ll notice some fancy ads and much-edited content from some bigger brands and fashion brands — like when Gucci let artists take over their Snapchat account for an hour per day:
Most businesses don’t need Gucci-level content. In fact, users on Snapchat want to feel the “realness” of your brand. They want a behind-the-scenes, unedited, uncut, look into your business.
Artist DJ Khaled is nicknamed The King of Snapchat. Most of his content is him, relaxing in his mansion, eating the meals prepared by his chef. This is appealing to users, but he’s really just living his life and Snapchatting along the way. Like in this Snap, where he’s relaxing in his jacuzzi:
What is Snapchat used for?
Snapchat is used for many different things. I personally use to watch video snaps of my baby niece that my sister sends. I have friends who love watching their friend’s Stories. I have one friend that religiously watches Kylie Jenner’s Stories. My teenage brothers use it to send me text messages. In short, it’s a great platform for everything from following brands and celebs to chatting with friends and relatives – all with the connecting theme of casual, impermanent content.
There are lots of features for editing images and videos. Users make lots of use of these features, but Snaps don’t really need to be edited to perfection. Instead, the edits are used more for fun, as with the virtual reality/augmented reality filters that are one of Snapchat’s biggest draws. These filters can give you a mustache or wrinkles, make you spit rainbows or fire, or turn you into a dancing hot dog.
Check out this example of an augmented reality filter by Skittles.
Getting started
There are tons of ways your company can use Snapchat to engage with users.
Just keep in mind that one thing to avoid is starting customer service questions with Snapchat because, since Snaps disappear, you won’t have any convos recorded.
Create a profile
First, set up your Snapchat profile. You’ll want to create a business profile, so you can either download the app from the App Store (available for iOS and Android) if you’re on a phone—or you can visit this link.
You’ll select a unique username. If the name is taken, a thumbs down will appear—if it’s available, you’ll see a thumbs up.
Remember, it’s best to keep your company usernames the same across all social platforms. The only way users will find your profile is through your username, so make sure the name is simple and as close to your company name as possible.
Update your settings
Make sure you update your settings so that everyone within the app can see your Snaps. Since you’re a business, you shouldn’t restrict your views to just friends.
Navigate to your settings from the home screen. Tap the top left button. Then, click the top right settings icon.
Settings > Who can > view my story
Change it from friends to everyone.
If you click the ghost icon on the home screen, you can update your profile, find users, scroll through friends, see who’s added you, etc.
Devise your plan
A company’s primary goal on social media should be to engage with their target market and direct them to whatever the company is selling. So, how can you get users from your content to a sales page?
Think about this before you start posting to Snapchat. Each post should be for a reason, with a clear goal in mind, not just an aimless effort to spur interest. Map out how users will likely engage and react to each piece of content you decide to post.
To get started, encourage users to follow you on Snapchat by sharing your new Snapchat account on your other social media profiles.
As your building your follower base on Snapchat, you can take clues from your other social media profiles as to what types of content your users prefer.
For example, let’s say you sell sneakers online and you’ve made the wise decision to automate your other social media channels with Sprout.
You glance at your Sprout Instagram Outbound Hashtag Performance and notice users are liking a ton of your content tagged with #redsneakerday. You could create some Snapchat posts around those same popular product.
You might create a Snapchat Story, where you show different people walking in various settings wearing your popular red sneakers. Maybe you show someone jogging on a track, another person hiking up a mountain, and another strolling in a museum or along cobblestone in a city. You can continue using your branded hashtag on Snapchat, too.
Instead of spending thousands of dollars on a professional videographer like you might need to do for other channels, you could simply ask your friends to wear your sneakers and send you a video that they took from their phones. Remember, Snapchat is all about “realness.”
Send your first snap
To send a Snap, navigate to the camera screen (a.k.a. the home screen). From here, just tap the camera button to snap a picture or hold down the camera button to take a video.
You’ll know you’re recording video because there will be a red line that fills the white line around the camera button. One video recording is complete when the circle is full, but you can record multiple videos back-to-back. The videos will also play back-to-back, without interruption, when viewed by your audience.
Like we mentioned before, some of Snapchat’s most popular features are the filters. Geofilters add text overlays or augmented reality to a Snap based on location. So, if you’re at Joe’s Coffee Shop, you might see a filter pop up for Joe’s Coffee Shop.
Check out this example of a Geofilter from Gujarat, India.
Remember not to stray too far off brand within Snapchat—brand still matters, even when there are tons of filter options at your fingertips.
But don’t be afraid to let a little loose with brand guidelines when it comes to showcasing “behind-the-scenes” stuff. You could use Snapchat to showcase:
Manufacturing processes
Employees
Team outings
Workspace environments
New products/releases
Product teases
Celebratory content
Snapchat is meant to be less stylized than the other platforms. It’s more personal—which is one of the reason’s it’s so popular, particularly with young people. So, don’t go overboard perfecting each image or video that you share. People on Snapchat are looking for authenticity above all else.
Use Snapchat to your advantage
Snapchat for business purposes is still a lesser-known subject.
There aren’t nearly as many businesses competing for Snapchat user attention as there are businesses competing on other social media networks.
This is a huge advantage for you—beating your competitors to the punch and building a following for yourself before they get there.
Get creative with filters
You can get insanely creative on Snapchat. Taco Bell is infamous for silly filters on Snapchat. For example, check out their Cinco De Mayo filter from earlier this year:
Hollywood also creates blockbuster Snapchat filters. Like this one from X-Men Apocalypse:
Both of these filters are great because users are excited about them, and when they share their images with friends, they’re also sharing the branding from these campaigns.
Generate engagement
There are over 3 billion Snap videos, pics, and Stories created every day. That’s a lot of opportunities to get users interacting with your company. There are lots of ways to drive engagement on Snapchat. Let’s take a look at some of the best ways.
Hold contests
A great way to encourage more people to follow you on Snapchat is to offer Snapchat-only giveaways and promotions.
For example, let’s say you’re a digital agency. You could create a contest for a package of free social media graphic design work. You share this contest with your other social channels and encourage followers to follow you on Snapchat for a chance to win.
Check out this contest on Twitter by the Cleveland Indians encouraging followers to follow them on Snapchat. Not only does it engage their Snapchat audience, it also drives users to interact with their Twitter account too – expanding followings on both channels.
Partner up
Find some Snapchat influencers and find ways to connect with them. You could also find other businesses with larger numbers of followers and ask to partner with them for a few posts. You can co-market your business with the help of others who share your same target demographic.
For example: If you’re a digital agency that does design work, you could partner with an SEO agency with more followers to create Stories that explain digital marketing tactics.
Check out this example, once again featuring the “King of Snapchat” DJ Khaled, partnering with Stride Gum.
Source: Wieden + Kennedy
Stay consistent
I’ve said this before—if there’s a golden rule for building a following on social media—it’s consistency. Keep Snaps coming on a consistent basis. Keep your brand image consistent across all of your social media profiles, Snapchat included. For example, if your go-to is a laid-back yet professional style, don’t suddenly curse every other word.
Engage back
As your brand grows, your fans are going to comment and engage with you. When they do that—don’t ignore them. Engage back, show them you appreciate their comments and likes. If people go out of their way, give them a shout out in your Snaps, better yet—share something they’ve Snapped.
Ask questions
Asking your followers questions encourages them to reply back to you. If you read our blog often, we practice this tactic by asking questions in the conclusions of our posts.
Questions don’t need to be complex. Simple questions are easier to answer. You might ask your followers:
What do you wish we offered that we aren’t yet?
How could we improve our customer service?
Would you rather us do _____ or _____?
Another great way to ask questions is to consider what’s relevant. For example, when football (American football) season is picking up – if your business markets to American dudes, you’ve got a golden opportunity to drive engagement with something that is trending.
You could ask:
Who’s going to win ______ or _____ ?
Who’s your all-time favorite quarterback?
Top 5 picks for Superbowl 2019?
Make great stories
Besides consistency and driving engagement, you need to focus on the quality of your content. Not so much in a “look and feel” way—remember Snapchat’s got a laid-back vibe.
Keep things interesting. Don’t just post pictures of your office or of your employees all day. Add your dog (people love dogs)!
Instead of sharing pics of your team, share pics your team takes. Or, share your customers’ content. You could try sharing industry news, or how-to videos.
Don’t forget to have fun
Snapchat is all about being footloose and fancy-free. If you keep it creative and consistent with your posting, you’re going to see more and more engagement.
Tell us about some of your most successful Snapchat strategies in the comments below!

THANK YOU SO MUCH, I’m ugly crying on the inside right now. I’m really so glad you liked the art, seriously this means a lot to me TYSM <3
I like how Hisoka turned out too :D I have a hard time looking at him though because WOW that’s way too much trash for once piece of paper
Be glad that I sent you the sassy Saiko, because I also drew a crying Saiko calling for Maman. I decided not to be a troll for once though ^^
I couldn’t do justice to OG Musical Maria though. She’s gorgeous…
That picture of Roy will be my legacy.
(as for the tiny dab, that is also Saiko in case the pic was too small for you to tell XD funny thing is that I wasn’t even intending to have that slip in when I took the picture. I drew a tiny, mouth-and-nose-less ‘I am not impressed’ Urie face next to it too but guess that didn’t make it in haha LOL
I'm actually sorta obsessed with drawing tiny, dabbing figures right now because I just discovered an easy way to draw dabs and…well. It’s fun?)
AWW tysm! Tbh though I get the struggle. I hated all paints for the longest time because I also had no idea how to use brushes and control the amount of water I used and ended up with shapeless blobs or super runny pics (also I’ve never actually learned how to paint or draw…a couple of short lessons when I was really little, a month(?) of lessons around last year or the year before, that’s pretty much it. So idk how to do things really lol). But I sorta-recently got obsessed with watercolor paintings (SO PRETTY) and that’s why I started ‘practicing’ (AKA watching/reading a bunch of tutorials and trying my best to remember the few things I actually learned XD). I still can’t draw stuff just with watercolors though, I need to do a light pencil sketch and then color with paint.
OK that sounds so cool but problem: My phone is a super old flip phone that I’ve had since I was eight(?), so mobile games are a no XD and my parents probably wouldn’t buy me anything that costs money (they let me play simple free RP games and dating games on the internet since those are usually fairly innocent (I mean, it’s plot/character-based stuff, almost like a manga) but not anything too 'big’ you know? If I was old enough to buy games like that with my own money I don’t think they’d care tho, as long as I didn’t get obsessed with games or anything.)
Also just realized that I’m stupid and apparently forgot that I don’t have Steam. I was going to install it but can I ask you exactly what it is/how it works, first? I’m just kinda worried about randomly installing this since I don’t quite get it yet ^^;; (sorry I can be really, really stupid when it comes to stuff like this)
THAT’S SO CUTE. Let me recommend you a game too- a free RPG/Dating game called Ascension by ImpQueen! No download, you just go to ImpQueen and play it. There are three(?) chapters. The first chapter might not be that interesting compared to other games, but the game and the story keep getting more complex as you go on :D you also get new dateable characters every chapter and the MC, Aida, is AWESOME. Also, in chapter two and three you can actually customize the main cast’s appearances, like you’d do in a dress-up game! Another cool thing is that you get different 'personality points' depending on the things you say/do, and the amount of points you have for a certain personality can change the outcomes of certain situations.
It’s also really fun because other than the romance, the plot and Aida’s journey is super interesting too.
Do you know I’ve been reading some Ishida tweets lately and look at this (yes these are all real)
Fan: Excuse me, is it ok if I ask what major you chose at university?
Ishida: I have studied worthless knowledge in University.
Fan: Please take good care of yourself and eat well! (I think that’s what they said? It was in Japanese so)
Ishida: I ate some tomatoes!
Fan: How do you draw Arima, sensei? It’s so hard to draw him ;-;
Ishida: Sadistic & Massive. I keep that in my mind.
Fan: I love you please marry me
Ishida: Sure! When is convenient for you?
Fan: Be sure to rest when you need to, sensei…
Ishida: I don’t wanna rest
Fan: HOW DID AMON’S EYEBROWS GET LIKE THAT PLEASE I MUST KNOW SENSEI
Ishida: It’s natural, you know.
Fan with a picture of a cartoon skeleton for their profile pic: Will we ever learn what happened to Hide, sensei? Also, thank you for the sequel :) I love TG
Ishida: Well, I’m not sure…by the way, you are so skinny. Thank you!
Also, dude reads Shoujo manga. He tortures us with Touken, Kanae, Tsukiyama/Kaneki, Saiko/Urie…and then he goes and posts fanart he drew of a Shoujo manga he was reading and says that he’s sad it’s over omg
0////0
…
I’d probably never want to leave that flask HOW COULD A TINY INSIGNIFICANT HUMAN DEFEAT ME SO EASILY NOOO
*sigh* I didn’t raise you to be like this…
(I just got the funniest/weirdest idea though: So Evans is like Luna’s mom in this relationship, Riza is Roy’s mom. Imagine what would happen when Roy/Luna got to the 'meeting the parents’ stage in their relationship)
Mei’s version of subtle-
Mei: Mr. Scar, Evans thinks you have pretty eyes.
Scar:
Scar: What
(basically catastrophe. And I would never have actually said that…Luna probably told Mei to say that I said something nice about him and that’s what the kid came up with OTL)
Well, he became a criminal in Civil War so not a big surprise really ;-;
For a second I thought that pic was you
Wow, that’s great! Bet it looks amazing on the queen <3333
Funny thing is I thought I liked physical contact (like cuddling, hugging, hand-holding) but turns out that’s not the case XD I get super awkward when anyone who’s not my mom, dad, or my little sister/younger cousin touches me. Tbh the only person I feel comfortable with cuddling anytime, anywhere is my little sister because she’s still smol LOL
It’s definitely weird when people who aren’t that close with you try to hug you though. The only thing that can make it worse is if they gush about what a good, sweet child you are while doing it XD
(btw, I sent you a message about the TG Re Volume 12 omake; did it get eaten?)
((EDIT AFTER NEW CHAP OF TG: WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUU NO URIE NO N O)) Feel free to send more art anytime! I’ll always be glad to see it ^^
Is he really that bad? I mean, I’ve seen some memes, but didn’t think he was that trashy XD
Oh wow, thank you for that :P Who knows, maybe I would’ve broken my computer screen, because end the suffering already.
Dabbing Saiko, best Saiko. I assumed it was her because of the hair, but wasn’t 100% sure. Isn’t that Urie’s default face, tho. I mean, when is that man impressed? He does show emotion when he’s trying to comfort someone, but that doesn’t happen very often. *stares at that paragraph* *dabs aggressively*
Ah, that’s what makes it even more impressive! I mean, we had art in elementary school, but it was mostly the ‘learn stuff yourself’ kind of art. Needles to say, I didn’t learn a lot. But watercolours really are a nice way of painting, since they can have really vibrant colours, yet be serene at the same time. Most people I know who draw, watercolour or not, use sketches and references, so I don’t see anything wrong with that ^^ Just take your time to learn what you want ^^
Oh, I see! So, free, computer games for you… Well, right now, CP is the only one I can think of, but I’ll discover more in the future and share them with you when I do ^^ The only paid games I play are on my phone, since I’m too shy to ask my parents to but me otome games… I have 0 problems playing them on my own, but not a lot of people know that I play them.
Right, steam. It’s a gaming platform. Technically, it’s an app for the computer on which you can download games that are available in the steam store. Some are free, some are paid.
This is how the page looks. The little green button in the upper left corner is to download the app itself, and you’ll also need to create an account. You’ll need to give an email, but it’s only for account verification and to send you bills if you decide to buy anything. However, if you don’t buy anything, the email will mostly be useless after the verification. I mean, I don’t remember getting a spam email from them at all. After that, just go to the search bar, type Cinderella Phenomenon. And press play the game! It should automatically download the game to the steam app and you’re good to play ^^ No worries about asking questions! It’s actually admirable how you’re so careful around the internet ^^
Oh, I’ve actually played that before! I could never finish chapter 3, though… For some reason, it keeps glitching at one scene making me unable to continue further =3= It was quite fun to play! I just don’t remember most of it anymore, since it’s been a while since i’ve played ^^;;;
Ishida summarised my high school experience so far in a single tweet, only it’s about University XD
Wow. That’s so mean of him XD Seriously Ishida, why you gotta torture us so much??? (I just noticed my computer stopped auto-correcting Ishida, I think it finally learned I wanted to type it)
Muhahahahaha I’ve contained the legendary dwarf!!! Now she won’t be able to convince a whole nation to commit collective suicide because their leader is a naive idiot!!
The two of you just talk about how randomly childish the two of us can get at times XD I think you’d get along pretty well with Riza, though. I mean, she’s a nice person, who knows what it’s like to be scared, so she’d be fine with taking lead of the conversation.
Scar isn’t sure if it’s Mei’s idea of a prank or not, but he’d be slightly disappointed if it was cause he kindawantedEvanstothinkhiseyesarenice but nope he’s in denial.
From that day on, Luna learns that if she wants to get the two awkward dorks together, she’ll have to take things into her own hands. Probably goes something like this:
Luna: Evans, are you free at 5pm this Friday? Evans: Yeah, why? Luna: Scar, are you free at 5pm this Friday? Scar: Aha Luna: Great, because I’m not! Have fun you two!
My sweet sunshine child cap T^T
Aah, no, my hair i shorter than that ^^;;; Also, I look younger than I am OTL
I think it’s more of the ‘I like physical contact if I know the person and am close enough to them’ thingy. I mean, I have a few acquaintances who love hugs and I always shrink away from them, but with close friends, U’m sometimes the one who starts hugs. But you might also dislike contact in general, which is also fine, everyone has their own preferences ^^
I did, but I only noticed after I answered your message OTL Well, that’s certainly an interesting ship… Now I slightly ship it…
