November status update!

So! Spooky month is over and now we are at November! so here's my monthly update!

🌼Social Media management

So first I wanted to give a bit of a announcement given the difficult situation with artists and social media in recent times, specially on Twitter and the recent choices they've made, I've been thinking on what to do 🤔

I've come to the conclusion to only post full art on certain sites that are more for art and artists and the rest will be cropped art or very tiny version of them (not full resolution or quality)

Thought I'd still like to use tumblr for posting art as well and specially sketches and doodles, it's just still a very comfortable place to put these kind of things, but I'll just just my watermark more often on them

But yeah, social media management is something I was very messy about, and in recent months I haven't been able to keep up with everything about it so I needed to make some kind of order in there

🌼October ink art challenges:

nah, I tried but I gave up on it pretty quick lol, I've been pretty stressed up with work and side personal projects that I just didn't make the time to draw too much of that lol

it was kinda funny how quickly I lost steam with that 😅 but well it's not an obligation, maybe next year I'll be able to be a little bit more consistent and have more energy for that.

🌼Commissions:

So I finished the batch I got on August, though there's still a comic pages commission from that but I'm putting that and one I got last month together.

as for the batch I got on October, I got a bit behind it, mostly because I was trying to finish with the previous batch first, so this next week I'll work more on the current batch for sure! 👍

hopefully I'm able to finish all chibis next week at least!

still not finished with the new items to put on the shop, and I haven't started yet with holiday themed things, hopefully this upcoming week I get more time for that, I just gotta really make some kind of order in my schedule lol 😅

Other than that, I guess the megaman X fan comic is coming along quite nicely, I'm still working on the inks, but dialogue has been more defined thanks to a friend of mine and there's about 7 pages left to ink!

Finding Details to Go with a Basic Plot

Anonymous asked: Do you have any posts or new tips on creating the "fill" in stories?

I want to start here, because it's super important that we don't think of anything in stories as "fill" or "filler" because that implies it's "empty calories" there to take up unfilled space, and we never want to do that in stories. In stories, every scene--every event and moment--needs to be in service of the plot, characters, or world.

For example, I get an idea for a novel, like forbidden romance. My problem lies in figuring out other details, specifically in figuring out what would work for the plot (and what doesn't really matter). What would their jobs be? How can they meet? What interests/hobbies do they have? If someone has trauma, what was the traumatic event? My brain automatically looks for the links between everything, so it's hard to find a point of attack. I feel like everything has to interconnect to make sense - things can't be random or "because I say so." So when I have more of a plot idea rather than story, what approaches do you recommend?

If you have a general plot idea (like forbidden love) but you don't know how to flesh it out, it's probably because you haven't yet mastered an understanding of how stories generally work.

Stories are either character-driven, plot-driven, or a combination of both. Character-driven stories center around internal conflict, meaning a conflict within the protagonist's heart and mind. Plot-driven stories center around external conflict, meaning a problem in the protagonist's world. Stories that are both character-driven and plot-driven are centered around an external conflict while also exploring the protagonist's internal conflict. (And often that of the other main characters.) Plot Driven vs Character Driven Stories

Your protagonist's goal is always to resolve the conflict. In a character-driven story, that may not always be straightforward. Sometimes characters don't really understand their internal problem and so they sort of fumble their way through potential solutions as they try to fix whatever isn't quite right in them. In a plot-driven story, the resolution of the problem (the goal) is usually straight forward... take the ring to Mordor, survive the Hunger Games, pull off a heist to steal back the stolen art piece. Your character's pursuit of the goal, and the overcoming of obstacles placed in their path by the antagonistic force, is what makes up the action of the story. Then they finally face off against the antagonistic force in the climax, solving the problem once and for all. Understanding Goals and Conflict, How to Move a Story Forward, Basic Story Structure.

i have a bunch of things to report, which you can read under the read-more (or over on [deviantArt!]) but yes, the important bits:

all commission types available!! regular orders: 12 slots total (3 active, 9 in queue) doodle orders: no limit so long as it's open!! (6 active slots!) pagedoll orders: also no limit!! (2 active slots!) the queue(s) will remain open indefinitely the waitlist for the next batch is unavailable until further notice ✦ digital medium only! the commissioned pieces are all .png files; no physical items will be shipped. ✦ for regular orders, max of 2 SLOTS per person; i'll be working on multiple orders one at a time (the second order will be moved into the queue) ✦ waiting period is 2 months at most! i tend to work fairly fast, and i'll keep you updated throughout the whole process!

a new commission option!! we'ge got pagedolls now!! :"D

they're lil' stylized full-body portraits with transparent backgrounds, clean lineart and flatcolors :'3c i just posted the examples separately, you can check them out [here]!! they have their own queue, like doodles, but function the same as regular orders in terms of feedback and client updates– the different queue is just because pagedolls are faster to complete, and therefore it'd be nice if they didn't take regular-order-slots instead :')c no limit of orders per person, but i will be working on those 2 at a time c':

speaking of full-body, from here on all commission options offer full-body portraits, replacing knee-up!! i feel more confident with my art now to tackle full-body stuff :') with this, i went and changed the nomenclature of shoulder/waist/knee-up to just bust/half-body/full-body, which i reckon better suits how i tend to go about where to cut off portraits (uh... ribcage/mid-thigh/mid-calf-up x"Dc)

portraits can now have up to two characters!! slooowly climbing towards just having multiple extra characters x'Dc but for now, just the two!! prices vary depending on how much of the second character is visible (plus an extra fee if the 2nd character is Very Very Intricate design-wise). more on this below, and on the [website] too :')c

that said, familiars / pets / companions don't count as extra characters!! they have their own stipulations, also described below!!

this time i'll be (once again) working on a reduced amount of slots for regular orders (doodles and pagedolls exempt!), in an effort to finish things up in a more timely manner by focusing on a smaller amount of orders, and to then open new batches more often (since the last one was over a year ago). this time around, there will be a total of 12 slots for regular orders: 3 active slots that i'll be getting started on right away on monday, and then another 9 waiting in queue c: again, no deadline for those!!

since it's a small number of slots, regular orders slots are limited to two per person!! so that folks have a good chance of getting a slot :')c and given how it's just 3 active slots, i'll be working on multiple orders one at a time c':

doodles and pagedolls do not have those limits, and i'll just go about finishing them up as i can c: six doodles at a time, and two pagedolls at a time as well, but their respective queues have no slot limit, and folks can order as many as they want at once :3c

in a different note, over the course of the year, i've gone from using Paint Tool SAI to drawing and painting on Rebelle 7 instead, and have since acclimated well enough to continue commission work with no issue– i can now send the finalized files at better resolution too :"Dc yey nanopixel :3c

which reminds me, icons are now sized 1000px square insted of 800px!! minor change but still noteworthy x')c

lastly, cases in which no sketch presented is suitable, and no amount of editing said sketch can help its approval and the client would rather a new sketch be made, i can do so for a flat fee of 35% of the original order's price– this does not impact choosing between sketches and such, or my tendency towards working on more than one sketch for orders, or if the client has presented multiple sketch ideas for the same order :')c the modifications, big and small, of the sketch phase remain entirely part of the process and free of charge!! this is just in case an entirely new sketch is necessary, since the sketch portion of the process is usually the more complicated and time-consuming bit of the commission c': so, edge case, but it's a new thing added in and i want to make mention of it!!

other than that, prices have been updated, and there's been minor edits in wording for the sake of clarity in the terms on the [website], on the forms, and the descriptions of the options and extras c': i've also, as you may have noticed, updated all the examples on the info sheet and on the website to be past commissions!! some of which i have yet to post (orz on my way!!! ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ), but that you can see as well over on the commission-info-place :')c

Sorry for being sudo inactive!! I’ve been on a trip, where I got to see Sweeney Todd on Broadway!! Genuinely such a good show. If I went on about how amazing it was, we’d be here all day

But on the note of me being gone for a bit, ya boi has been crafting! Along with some more ramblings as usual-

The chapter one outline of the Alley Cat AU has been completed! Now it’s on to drawing some panels out and finalizing the draft! Of course I will probably post more concept work before then, as some details still need to be worked out. But we are making headway!

I’m going to also work on making a masterpost here soon, so that way everything is in one neat spot. But the story will be hosted here! Here’s some more smaller concept work to tide you guys over until the next post! I obviously want to finish a couple chapters but I’ve also started work on a chapter explaining how Morro met his cat! Originally the cat was unnamed but I think Wisp works well for them, I will try to finish the reference sheets for all of the characters before I post any chapters.

I’m also going to finish up my work on chapter one, before posting any of it. So that way the wait between isn’t as awful (fun fact that’s been my New Year’s resolution- to try and post more-) but please be patient with me, I’ve never really worked on a project this big before and I am a full time college student with a job. So I will do my best!

I want to let you guys know as well, the ninja and their dynamic with Lloyd will stay pretty similar to that of the show. With them obviously being suspicious of Lloyd and his “cat”, but because they find him and Lloyd doesn’t try to do anything regarding the Serpentine (because Morro shook some sense into him-) there’s no residual “you unleashed the snakes on us-“ vibes. Instead right off the bat Kai takes one look at Lloyd and says “You are now my little brother. You cannot deny this.”, adding more fluff.

That also means we have to find another person who unleashes the serpentine. Because plot reasons and all that jazz, I’m working on it but I think it would be funny if Jay did it by accident or one of the other darkly boys did it. I’ll toy with both ideas and some other ones before I settle on it, I have time. I hope.

I’ve got some other things I’m cooking up, some Ninjago related, others pertaining to other fandoms I’m in.

Aside from that, I also have a Redbubble! There’s some stuff in there I’m reworking, so a minder and apology for that, but I’m going to try to get some more Ninjago works posted up there. Along with some original works! Here’s the link if you’d like to check it out!

☁️ 2024 Artist Resolutions ☁️

Happy New Year, everyone! 🌻

Just sharing my annual artist resolutions (this is my 3rd year doing this, I think?):

colors & palettes: I would like to try and experiment more with color, including probably (re-)teaching myself color theory (and actually trying to understand it this time lol), working with more mindful color choices like limited palettes and overall trying to use color to make more visually interesting pieces.

video content: I actually really like the process filming and editing little progress/behind-the-scenes videos, but I didn't do much of that at all this year. I'd honestly like to go back to doing some of that again! Also I had a brief stint of streaming art on Twitch around this time a year ago and haven't gone back to it...still on the fence but I may revisit that as well this year.

comics: I've always enjoyed drawing silly little daily life comics and would like to continue with that, but 2023 made me realize how much I also enjoy creating more long-form webtoon and comic book-like pieces as well! I definitely want to explore and expand more upon that in 2024~

composition: I've been very lazy about composition! Going back to wanting to use color to create more visually interesting pieces, I'd also like to focus more on composition to do the same as well.

(soft) freelance: I used to have an online shop that I shut down almost 3 years ago now...I don't know what I feel brave enough to tackle this year in terms of being an independent artist outside of my day job; whether that's commissions, ko-fi/patreon, product design for a shop reopening or tabling at conventions, but I hope I'll figure it out and get over my hesitations about it...soon.

sketching & journaling: I really super-mega-absolutely neglected sketching and journaling for the entirety of 2023 which TRULY HURTS MY JOURNAL-LOVING HEART. I want to try some things to find a new system of sketch-journaling that fits my time and lifestyle better these days so I can incorporate that back into my life.

I think I only really got to two goals from my 2023 list; drawing more backgrounds and entering my 'villain era' by drawing more selfishly (though I'll be honest: I didn't expect that to manifest the way it did when I had written it out, but yeah okay, smutty art it is I suppose lmaooo)

We don't talk about 2022 lol.

My GO 2 Headcannons:

I miss fun and silly hcs tbh

- Crowley got a tongue piercing in the 80s and hated it. He only kept it in when Aziraphale finally noticed and kept getting caught staring at it

- Crowley used to smoke in front of the bookshop but was chided not to by Aziraphale as it “set a bad example”. Crowley now doesn’t smoke as often. Aziraphale, meanwhile, smokes often, but behind the bookshop. (In reference to the GO New Year’s Resolutions)

- There are multiple articles of clothing in the bookshop that belong to Crowley from over the years. Aziraphale keeps them just in case.

- Aziraphale likes when Crowley grows out his hair and is devastated every time he cuts it short. It reminds him of when they first met.

-Every time Aziraphale visits a coffee shop by himself, they always spell his name (horrendously) wrong. Sometimes, if Crowley is persuaded to not do the ordering, he’ll miracle Aziraphale’s name correctly on the cups before he notices (it’s always noticed).

-Nina and Maggie used to refer to Crowley as “Mr. Fell’s Partner” before being introduced.

- Crowley has a collection of forgotten records in the book shop. Aziraphale keeps them in pristine condition with the rest of his records, occasionally adding some to the collection for Crowley if he spots any he thinks he’ll like.

- Aziraphale has multiple sketchbooks, many of which the pages are just of Crowley (He would rather discorporate than have Crowley see them). He might even have paintings that are even more well hidden.

- Aziraphale and Crowley got drunk one evening at a ball and had a portrait commissioned of the two of them. Crowley ended up taking it once they sobered up to “hide it”, that being hung in one of the rooms of his flat.

- Aziraphale once accidentally ran into Crowley at a gay bar in soho.

- Crowley has tried to convince Aziraphale to switch to CDs/Cassettes to save space. It never worked.

- Aziraphale owned an Edison Phonograph but had to stop using it because he lost the key to the locking lid. Crowley found the key forever ago and never told him, knowing Aziraphale didn’t want to miracle it open because he would “find it eventually.”

- Aziraphale’s favourite color is yellow because of Crowley’s eyes.

- Crowley doesn’t read much because, much like snakes, he has bad eyesight. (Hence, the Jane Austen bit in S2)

- Aziraphale is actually very physically strong. Crowley not as much.

- Crowley has sharp teeth because he’s a demon. Aziraphale also has pointed teeth as Cherubs are part lion.

- when some of the businesses near the book shop threatened to shutdown during lock down, Aziraphale miracled their bills away. The nearby owners were convinced Aziraphale had mafia affiliations.

-any minor tear or loose thread on Aziraphale’s very old coat/vest will be subtly miracled away by Crowley, hoping it will go unnoticed. Aziraphale always notices.

-Crowley’s corporation will sometimes form freckles during sunny days. Aziraphale might miracle extra sunlight onto him just to see more form. (Crowley is unaware of this)

-Aziraphale, at some point, was a good marksman.

-Muriel accidentally found the false book Aziraphale had hidden his pistol when they took over the shop. They frantically reported this to Crowley when they had the chance, making him smile ever so slightly.

-Aziraphale will often trick Crowley into sitting in a sunnier seat when they’re out in public so he can see Crowley’s eyes through the lenses of his sunglasses.

-much like cats, angels’ eyes will reflect light. This causes any images taken of Aziraphale with the flash to have glowing eyes.

-Aziraphale avoided Crowley in the 70s until he shaved off his moustache

-Crowley has memorized all of the constellations and at some point read up on Astrology which he takes credit for. (He claims it induces mass delusion)

-Crowley claimed to invent coffee tables to inconvenience humans’ shins

2024 Writing in Review

Published on AO3 in 2024: 401,592

Everything was within the Six of Crows/Grishaverse fandom, with a large focus on Kanej, but with some Wesper and original characters. I branched off into spin offs stories, writing short form ficlets, and challenging myself. I gained new readers, some amazing beta readers, and did some beta'ing for others. I have expanded my own post-canon world a huge amount. While my writing has slowed down a bit, I have tons of future story ideas. I commissioned art for fics from great artists, and even received the first gift art for a fic just this week! Of the 22 stories I published this year, the length ranged from 542 to 75,125 words. I posted the last chapter of my last story for this year this morning!

January:

Broeder Liefde (Brotherly Love)

It’s been two and a half weeks since Inej set sail. Kaz has been coping, mostly. His cravings for touch are maddening, and he misses Inej fiercely. Jesper and Wylan try their hardest. We get to see some domestic and sexy Wesper stuff, too. This is wish fulfillment post-canon personal and relationship development. There are intense, and sexual, scenes between consenting adult characters, and discussions of trauma.

February:

Jezelf Leren Kennen (Learning To Know Oneself)

This piece exists in the space directly after Crooked Kingdom, during KoS/RoW, and serves as a prequel for my series Kanej Wansen. Exploring Inej’s reunion with her parents, her discovery of who she can be as Captain Ghafa, hunting slavers and doling out justice, and her path to reclaiming her own body and sexuality. Exploring Kaz building his empire in the Barrel, and his journey through practicing touch and examining his armor; seeing him hit despair, and clawing his way back out again.

March:

Zeilen (Sailing)

The Wraith has captured The Nalaika, and Inej and her crew celebrate the victory. We learn some of Mesa’s history, and see some resolution there. The Wraith may gain a new crew member. Inej goes on her “Lion Hunt”, and brings back a memento. I’ve built in layers of serious issues with more lighthearted moments, and with four Original Character POV sections.

April:

Verbanden & Geesten (Ties & Ghosts)

Kaz deals with waiting for Inej to return, gang politics with the Razorgulls, redecorating his bedroom, getting a tattoo, and a visit to his childhood home. Jesper and Wylan visit the Slat, meet Krai, and help Kaz out with some gang politics, among other things.

Drie Is Een Feestje (Three is a Party)

Meril, Mikhal, and Nico, Dregs members who work at Magpies & Makkers, are relaxing in the club after hours when Meril decides to reveal to her partner Mikhal that she wants to act on the attention they've both noticed from Nico. After some negotiation, they head upstairs for some kinky fun and power exchange that works out far better than any of them expected. (Spin off story from Kanej Wensen but in the same canon.)

May:

Vindingrijkheid (Fabrication/Invention)

This story follows Jesper’s Fabrikator training with Tij Bashnya at Toren Leder. This takes place during and after Verbanden & Geesten. (Spin off story from Kanej Wensen but in the same canon.) Jes begins learning how to better focus his powers, some leather crafting, and a good chunk about his mentor as well. We get a section from Tij’s POV, and see how she views her new found apprentice. We also get to see Jesper and Tij trading stories as they work on a custom order for Kaz.

Thuiskomst (Homecoming)

Inej returns to Ketterdam, coming ‘home’ to Kaz. It’s a rainy day, but they’re back at the Slat soon enough for a reunion dinner and reconnection time. They update each other on all sorts of news, explore some physical intimacy with a setback, recover and relax. Inej gets birthday gifts, and to see Kaz’s redecorated bedroom. Kaz brings up the ideas of going out to dinner and taking a vacation.

June:

Geheugen (Remembering)

The morning after Inej returns to Ketterdam, she pokes a little too hard at Kaz about his past, and he pokes back about hers. Their argument leads to confessions on both sides, of things they’ve kept hidden from each other. They discuss heavy parts of their past, bringing some things to light. They also explore how arguing can lead to better communication, and to make up sex. After some reconnection, they have a chat about Jesper’s random offer of spanking.

Bevrediging (Gratification/Naughty: To Cum)

Inej has another educational chat with Jes & Wy about kink. Kaz takes her out on a date in public to Pelegrini, for an amazing dinner. Upon return to the mansion, their evening gets very kinky. Inej takes control, tries out some new toys, and hilarity and hotness ensue. Kaz comes to grips with a new phrase from Inej.

Een Taal Aanleren (Language Lessons)

Omar and Ryo, Dregs members who work at Magpies & Makkers, discuss their mutual crush one evening on their way back to the Slat. Each man has a hurt from his past to contend with. Occasional language barriers make their night interesting. We get to learn more about Omar’s past crush on Nico, and why Ryo left Bhez Ju. This story turned into a tri-lingual affair, giving us more insight into both Ryo and Omar’s backgrounds and cultures.

This spin off story from Kanej Wensen ties together a slew of little plot lines and character arcs. We get ten different character POV’s surrounding the Rogues Gallery expansion opening gala. Zurye has a surprise meeting. Ryo gets a surprise assignment. Jesper is in a tizzy with all of his planning duties. Rook is in a tizzy because Jeter’s all dressed up. Kaz leads his Dregs in a Barrel parade to the Rogues Gallery. Mesa has a chat with Tajed while she’s trying to work. Inej finds out some intel from Rosa Ortega, leader of the Liddies. Wylan has a run-in with another member of the Merchant Council. Jeter is Kaz’s assistant for the night, and brings the news of an incident. Oxana gets to witness a private debriefing of the Crows.

Grijp De Teugels (Take the Reins)

After returning to the Slat after working at their respective clubs, Anika and Pim have some kinky relaxing time together. Their power exchange runs contrary to what outside observers might assume, with Anika handing the reins to Pim. We learn a bit about their backstories, and get to see just how confident Pim is when it comes to handling his girl. They have some post sexy time snuggling, and an important conversation.

This idea has been in my notes for a while, and Smutsgiving seemed liked the right time to write it out. Jesper has a surprise for Wylan featuring forest green lace, and he's maybe a little nervous about it.

A little light on the smut, a little heavy on the soft and adorable.

One more thing for Smutsgiving! With a bit more smut. I had this idea in my Spin Off and Ficlets notes, and Lizabet and Specht totally needed some more screen time. Even if he is *supposed* to be getting up and being responsible.

Vakantie (Vacation)

Kaz takes Inej on a vacation to his childhood home, the farm located not far from Lij. From reveals on the ride down, to days spent relaxing, they figure out how to enjoy a vacation. Inej gets some new insights into Kaz’s past. He relives and discusses painful memories, but also finds some solace in the process. There’s fun and connection, stargazing and sexytimes, and a few interesting surprises in the mix as well.

Which art do you like best? (´∀｀)♡

This is my second year in which I made a living just from my artwork and I'm SO grateful for that! ✨ I improved my commission schedule this year, I have always someone on my waiting list and I didn't have to take a break due to a lack of customers! Also, I'm happy with how my artwork looks but still want to improve it, and - my biggest struggle - I want to start drawing for myself. I bought a drawing tablet recently and I hope it helps me with it! 🤲

But let’s do a little rewind! As usual, almost all my artworks are commissioned work but in January I was posting redraws of my OCs which I didn't upload last year - I have to get back to those it was so much fun! This year I did more fanfiction covers (February, August, November, December) - which I LOVE to draw and I added this option to my commission info! Also did more illustrations with more than two characters (April, May) which is always challenging - especially interaction between them - but group pics were something I always I wanted to do more. I also did a few things for myself (June) including my OCs which is always refreshing to get back to my own creations. The next thing I enjoy making are "comic pages" (July, September) It makes storytelling in art much easier and fun, maybe I should make a proper comic page in the new year? And I have to mention making Bleach-related staff (March, October) as a long Bleach fan I still can't believe we have a new anime season, and making artwork connected to character design is something I would like to expand in 2024. Unfortunately, I didn't do any art raffles and art challenges this year and it's something I find joy in so I definitely have to go back to it! ~ I didn't really meet my last year's art resolutions so I will not try to force myself to do anything this year lol But I hope I will still do what brings me joy and this is what I wish for you too!

Happy New year lovelies!!

I have a few resolutions, My main ones are to stop drinking and lose so much of the trauma weight lmao 💕

Also if I don't drop out of uni that'll be great, and I wanna learn much more 3D skills on my own to earn more money through commissions. I will also be seeking a formal diagnosis for autism so I won't feel invalidated by others anymore.

each year my traumas get easier to deal with but I'm still not a functioning member of society yet, so I want to work on that stuff, maybe manage some irl work too. Get involved with more activism definitely. Be even gayer. Surround myself with people who want me to thrive in my own authentic way, and give that kindness back severalfold.

Wishing everyone a very happy 2025. everything that's coming will be increasingly tough for us but we can do this if we support each other and hold fast. 💕 We have to strive for a better future 💙🌱

Shang Qinghua was living within a story of his own creation and not at the same time.

The original Proud Immortal Demon Way stretched across centuries of time, his dear son Luo Binghe amassing a gargantuan harem and siring a horde of children. So technically, six years after the events of maigu ridge, he was well within the confides of the story. But things had changed, drastically in fact. Luo Binghe married only one person, all of the Cang Qiong peak lords survived, and several characters he never added to the official story walked among them. He had no more idea where this much altered story was headed than anyone else, including Shen Qingqiu.

After Mobei Jun's ascension and Shang Qinghua's aborted exit from the world, his life changed. They reconciled, developed what Shang Qinghua thought was a more harmonious, nonviolent working relationship. Unbeknownst to him, Mobei Jun had initiated a lengthy attempt at courtship. They danced around each other for a few more years, Shang Qinghua at first unwilling to accept the truth then hesitant to commit. He wanted to be with Mobei Jun—much to his surprise—but he didn't necessarily jump at the chance to be recognized as the demon king of the north's consort.

He woke in this world as an infant and floated through this new life with a sense of detachment. He was present enough to ensure his survival, cling to whatever thigh he needed to achieve that, but now… He chose to be here, abandoned his original life for this place. For Mobei Jun – though he wouldn't admit that for a while.

The transition from the role he was designated to play, from mere survival to living a life with someone else, was terrifying. He had no guidelines or parameters. He didn't know the consequences. The system remained offline since he declined the option to leave.

In the end, Mobei Jun had grabbed both his hands, knelt before him at their bedside, his towering frame now meeting him eye to eye.

"The kingdom knows what you mean to me. I would have you take your rightful place at my side."

"My king," Shang Qinghua started nervously, "I'm by your side each day."

"As a servant, as an advisor."

Shang Qinghua squirmed in Mobei Jun's hold, under his intense gaze. "Isn't that enough?"

Mobei Jun's answer was quick and resolute: "No."

"M-my king, I'm, I'm not a woman–"

"Lord Luo has not taken a woman as his official consort."

Laughter bubbled out of Shang Qinghua at that irrefutable truth, feeling hysterical. "Yes, yes. But! I don't have the parts to, um, continue your line either."

Mobei Jun raised his eyebrow a millimeter or two, which for him was the equivalent of noticeably quirking it. "I am well aware."

Color rose in Shang Qinghua's cheeks as he glanced down at the bed they shared for the past couple years.

"What about heirs?"

"Do you believe I'd die and leave you anytime soon?"

Shang Qinghua didn't know how to handle such a forthright Mobei Jun.

Not known for his patience, Mobei Jun had resorted to threats and, failing that approach, even attempted negotiating what terms Shang Qinghua needed to accept his offer of marriage. Shang Qinghua rebuffed him each time, on occasion manufacturing some emergency back on an ding peak and hiding there for a few weeks. Mobei Jun's new tactic of emotional openness was the last thing Shang Qinghua would have expected. Or know how defend against.

They had never put words to the thing between them, no declarations or confessions. It was simply understood that their feelings were the same. But Mobei Jun seemed determined to define it, officially, for all to see.

What else could Shang Qinghua do but do as his king, his perfect man, wants?

"I'm not wearing jewelry! All that cold metal and stone, it'll stick to my skin."

Mobei Jun surged forward, cupping Shang Qinghua's round face in his massive clawed hands to kiss his future consort like he wished to devour him.

Finally cleaning up my socials! If you're wondering why my account is so barren at the moment, there's some more info about my 2025 resolutions and how I plan to use this site going forward under the cut (cross-posted from Bluesky/IG).

With 2024 over, I find myself looking back on what I've accomplished. I'm disappointed since I didn't wind up doing very much at all last year! My creative output was at an all-time low, and even when I DID make new artwork, I couldn't bring myself to share it due to the advent of AI.

I want to protect my work and promote myself harder this year. I didn't land a single freelance gig in 2024, and while social media is partially to blame, I also refused to advertise myself. I'm amazed that I gained as many Bluesky followers as I did, considering how much I've neglected this space! 😭

Since I didn't go to any cons in 2024, I also didn't make a lot of new merch. My financials are looking a little scarce going into 2025, so I might put less of a focus on making merch in general in order to downsize. I'm also thinking of closing my Big Cartel soon—but my Etsy will still be around!

With that said, I wanted to say thanks to everyone who supported me in 2024 despite it being a rather lackluster year in terms of productivity. 2024 was difficult due to these compounding issues PLUS the fact that my hours were cut at my job, so every follow/share/shop order truly means the world to me! 🙏

I plan to start fresh on all of my social platforms, but in the event that new work opportunities don't pan out for me, then I may consider opening commissions this year. Please be on the lookout in case that's something you may be interested in, and I hope that 2025 will be kinder to all of us! 💖

With the year coming to an end, I wanted to say thank you to everyone for supporting me and my artwork this year! This year hasn’t been my best as I feel like I wasn’t able to make as much art as I would have wanted to but I’m still happy with all the things I was able to make 😎

For anyone that might be interested in commissions from me next year, I’ll mainly be offering only chibi commissions for January as I’m currently in the very long process of moving and I’ve also been meaning to just work on more artwork for fun as well!

I will be making big updates to my commission prices though as I think it’s time to update those. My food commissions especially will be having the most significant price update as those have become much more involved than how they originally started (but this is definitely not a bad thing as I love working on those a ton it’s my favorite type of illustration to make!) and so just keep this in mind especially if you’ve commissioned me for these before 🫡

I’m also planning on offering some chibified food commissions kind of like my holiday Rika art for anyone interested in something like that later on but commissions for my regular sized food illustrations (and everything else) will still be available!

I can’t say more than enough how appreciative I am of the support I’ve received over the years and I hope to make lots more art going into 2025!

My artist resolution is to draw even more food illustrations and lots more Zatch Bell art too! 💪

Here we are, folks—the grand finale of 2024!🎭 The curtain’s closing, the hobbits are heading home, and I’m staring into the fiery eye of 2025 like Frodo with a to-do list. Let’s get into this:

A./ Art Grind Resolutions 2025™️ (No Promises Edition):

Back on the grind! Like Geralt on a monster contract or Gandalf after yelling "YOU SHALL NOT PASS" I’ll be dusting off my brushes, my pens, and my cursed Dwarven sketch tablet. Expect more art, more chaos, and fewer excuses.

A Schedule? MAYBE. We’re aiming for organization here, but no promises—this isn’t Rivendell, and I don’t have Elrond planning my days.

Commissions are opening! That’s right, a shiny new comms sheet will drop in 2025. Look out for it soon! (Or, you know, soon™ in classic D&D planning.)

Adoptables galore! I’ll be trying to whip up 1–3 adorable, edgy, or delightfully cursed adopts every month. Tieflings, elves, maybe even a Witcher-inspired griffin bard? WHO KNOWS.

B./ Level-Up Goals:

More detailed pieces! Like crafting the ultimate dragon-slaying sword in Kaer Morhen, I’m pushing myself to work harder on those sweet, sweet details. Sparkly magic effects? Yes. Backgrounds? We’ll see.

Art tutorials?! A sprinkle of artistic chaos for you to learn from? Maybe. If I don’t get distracted by building another NPC in D&D.

Patreon revamp! I’m aiming to polish this up so you lovely folks can enjoy exclusive behind-the-scenes chaos, sketches, and more.

C./ New Stuff:

Some projects are lurking in the shadows like Gollum with the One Ring. Stay tuned for the shiny reveals.

Oh, and let’s not forget: 2025 is also the year I fully embrace my Self-Indulgent Era™️. That means you’ll probably see a lot more of the hyper-specific, slightly cursed, and delightfully niche content that lives rent-free in my brain. If I want to spend three days drawing Eredin, King of the Wild Hunt, in thigh-highs and a garter belt, guess what? I’m doing it. And if you see it posted, just scroll on by, Geralt. This is between me, my pencil, and my artistic freedom.

I’ll try to stop overthinking every little thing I want to share. I mean, it’s my page—why not throw in some weird Witcher-D&D crossover fanart? Why not write an entire essay on why emo Legolas would 100% listen to My Chemical Romance? (He would. Aragorn would roll his eyes but secretly agree.)

I’ll sprinkle in more of the stuff I love, the stuff that makes me laugh, cry, or sit there saying, "Is this too weird to post?" Spoiler: Nothing’s too weird anymore. 2025 is the year of feral, unhinged creativity. If you’re here for it, great. If not, well, I’m not changing the dice rolls for anyone.

If they’ve committed war crimes (looking at you, certain Witcher villains), I am NOT saying war crimes are cool.

If they’re the kind of character who would definitely steal candy from a baby, set the baby on fire, and then gaslight the witnesses into thinking the baby was the problem, just know I’m not here for that behavior in real life.

If they’ve poisoned wells, burned villages, or lied on their taxes, rest assured I am firmly against all three (especially the taxes part, IRS scares me cause I'm really bad at maths and they have calculators).

However, will I still make self-indulgent art of them lounging dramatically on a throne, wearing lingerie (again), holding a glass of wine, and staring into the distance like the messy little war criminal they are? You bet your chaotic little soul I will.

Examples include but are not limited to:

The sexy but utterly terrible lich who probably eats people but, like, is so aesthetic about it.

That one D&D villain who monologues for 20 minutes while their henchmen are actively losing a fight.

The morally bankrupt sorcerer who only uses their powers for evil but still has incredible eyeliner game.

Eredin, in lingerie. Again.

Just remember, folks: it’s fiction and art here. Let me thirst for the villains with the tragic backstories and the devastating cheekbones in peace. In real life, I promise I’d be the first to call the local paladin squad on them.

Probably. Maybe. Okay, fine—if they apologized really well, I’d consider negotiating. That said, me thirsting for the local baddie doesn’t mean I wouldn’t go full Vicious Mockery on their ass to roast them to filth about their behavior. I’m not a bard—good looks won’t move me from my morals. Not yet, anyway. (Eredin, stop calling. babe)

So buckle up—if you see more lingerie Eredin, angsty bard OCs, or a niche analysis of why Geralt would win a baking contest against Radovid (he would), just know this is my ✨artistic vision✨.

Higurashi When They Cry Hou Ch. 8 Matsuribayashi pt. 81

I do have to wonder how the rescue of Jirou Tomitake would have played out if Takano had been present in the clinic during it? I sort of doubt it would have been different to any significant degree, but who knows?

In an effort to try to come up with something to say here I have reread these screenshots a handful of times. I don’t have any particular great way to start so here are some highlights from my half-baked non-starters. Working in a facility that uses a keypad lock on the door and the fact that no one bothers to learn how to actually use it I wouldn’t put it past the Mountain Dogs to just leave the door very slightly ajar during their day to day. It’s three digits people! It’s not that hard! Irie just escaped from the facility little over an hour ago, when exactly would they have had the time to deactivate his card? Especially since they’d have to contact Tokyo to get his access revoked? See, I told you the air-conditioned break room would become plot relevant. How did Shion know about the Mountain Dogs’ MP5 when they shot out Irie’s tires? Shion and Kasai weren’t there. I guess maybe she’s referring to their raid on the Sonozaki compound? These Mountain Dogs who “seem proud” about their involvement with the Irie car chase need a reality check, they pooched that pretty hard. Of course they surrendered when three people armed with a shotgun, automatic pistol, and sub-machine gun got the drop on them! Who the hell is going to be caught sitting at a table or desk, see someone stroll in with a shotgun, point it at them, and be like “heh, I have the upper hand!”

Little writing flub I think. I sincerely doubt your average person in the 1980s even knew what the word resolution meant outside of new years. It’s a very modern thing to think about, and even then I doubt your average person knows about screen resolution. Or can articulate it anyway.

“The Mountain Dogs weren’t only locked in the bathroom, but had to go through extra humiliation.” They’re gonna pants em!

Unfortunately for the guards in the basement of the facility it was on the level. Irie and Shion had been taken by a couple of other Mountain Dogs who were able to get the jump on the rescue group, took out Kasai and Akasaka, and disarmed Shion. Because of their jumping the gun they unfortunately cut down Irie, Shion, and these two other Mountain Dogs.

From the way Shion was acting before I kind of want to see if I can commission anyone to make a mod for one of the Max Payne games replacing Max with Shion. It’ll go hand in hand with my one mod idea replacing Leon in Resident Evil 4 with Rena. Amused myself with the idea of Shion replacing Max in Max Payne 3 where he spends a good chunk of cutscenes just getting sloshed.

What Mountain Dogs outside? They implied it was just the six guys here guarding the facility. Maybe there are ten guys in the facility, but they didn’t seem to encounter any resistance getting into the building itself. Oh I’m thinking too hard about this.

I’m not exactly the most well-versed in regards to hunting information, but I have never heard of slugs being used to hunt animals. I’ve only ever heard of slugs being used in terms of hostage rescue or other SWAT based uses. I don’t doubt that there are people who hunt using slugs, but I’ve only ever heard of people using birdshot and buckshot for their hunting. Slugs, I’ve only ever heard being used to shoot locked doors off their hinges. Once more I’ve amused myself by imagining Shion as the one delivering this shotgun monologue to the Mountain Dogs. I blame my enjoyment of Girls’ Frontline.

I mean, it worked out pretty well for them regardless, but it certainly looks like their stealth campaign ended in pretty abysmal failure. I assume that when they pantsed the Mountain Dogs on the first floor they were doing this to steal their uniforms and have Akasaka and Kasai in disguise for the charade. Might as well have just had Akasaka or Kasai shoot out the camera and proceed like they did.

Have to say however, this is really playing into my theory that the only two real researchers in the Irie Institute are Irie and Takano. There was a nameless nurse back in part 60, but otherwise it’s been nothing but the inexhaustible horde of Mountain Dogs in the facility.
