20 minutes after lights out, you think about Sang Woo. It’s cold and you huddle close to yourself, trying to warm yourself up with thoughts of the older man. Your school girl crush does little to actually heat up your shivering body.

When you hear movement above you your heart stops, terrified that the stoic man has decided to finish you off for being a liability or whatever that enigma thinks of you. Sang Woo shocks you when he climbs into bed beside you and tugs you close to him, mumbling for you to shut up and let him help.

He holds you to his warm chest and you freeze.

“You’re shaking my bunk with your shivering. It’s annoying,” he whispers sharply. “Go to sleep. Use my warmth.”

You aren’t sure what to think. Your heart hammers in your chest, and you hear his hammer too, your head flush against his sternum. This isn’t as selfish on an exchange as he’s letting on.

“You can’t just-“

“I can go back to my bunk,” he interrupts. His hold on you loosens, but you close the gap by cuddling into his chest, arms around his midsection and head nuzzled on his pecs.

“Please don’t. It’s cold,” you whisper. “Thank you, sir.”

He doesn’t care about maintaining his excuse anymore. As you rest in Sang Woo’s arms, heavy words remaining unspoken, he strokes your hair lazily and kisses the top of your head.
