TUA has a tendency to retcon small things each season but the oddest was season 4's 'Allison has ALWAYS been there for Klaus!' because it literally never happens? We're 3 full seasons in and the relationships have more or less been established.

girrrllll, i got another idea! how about Elijah proposing to a reader? it could be angsty in the beginning, maybe they got into a fight because she feels like he always puts his family before her, so he proposes to her to show her she is his family too (and cause he was planning on doing that for a while anyway). and it’s all emotional, she’s not believing what’s happening and she’s thinking he doesn’t really mean it. meanwhile he’s almost desperate to show her how much she means to him. Smut cannot be absent of course. thank youuuu🫶🏻🫶🏻

Elijah loves you with all his heart, but his commitment to his family and his loyalty to Klaus keeps him from acting on his feelings. But when he almost loses you, he is determined to prove that you are the only woman he has ever truly loved, and wants to make you his, forever.
♡♡ Thanks for the request @msveronicag! Who doesn't want to be Elijah's wife? ♡♡

Everyone says that Elijah Mikaelson is the best of his family. A loyal, charming, considerate man that holds himself to a standard not many can accomplish. In essence, perfect. He loves his family deeply, despite their constant misgivings and betrayals. Nothing would get in his way, if it meant he could protect the ones he loves.
Well, that's what you wanted to believe.
There was a reason Elijah held such devotion to his family. He was one of them, and no better than the worst of them, having sinned over and over to the point where atonement was simply not a viable option.
He didn't want you to see him that way, the dark side of his polished exterior. He wanted to shed his past and become a new man with you by his side.
You were unlike anyone he's ever known or had a passing connection to. Your empathy and kindness was beyond measure, it had captivated him the very moment that your eyes met.
He always wanted to be married, there were even a few times he almost found someone to spend eternity with. Something always stood between that moment and himself, usually in the shape of some great threat. But things had now settled in his life, he had a niece and a proper place to call home. He was no longer on the run from one demon or another.
He wanted this. To settle down with the woman of his dreams, build a life together, and maybe even add to it.
Perfect. Simple. Domestic bliss.
You had come for a small party celebrating Hope's third birthday. Or, as far as you were concerned, a get together amongst those you considered family.
Although, sometimes you worried they didn't see you as family in turn. Deep entrenched history often kept you away from the inner workings of their family life. You understood that you had to earn your place in their lives, and you had done so time and time again. But they never seemed to truly accept you as one of their own.
You got along with nearly all of them except Klaus, who saw you as just a passing phase Elijah was going through. A dalliance, nothing more.
He certainly knew how to poke at your insecurities about your relationship.
"So, tell me," he asked as the two of you waited in the kitchen. "When will this little thing with you and my brother end?"
"Excuse me?" you asked, trying to keep your voice light.
"Don't take it personally, sweetheart. You're not the first pretty face he's lost himself in," Klaus explained with a shrug.
"You don't think he's serious about me?" you questioned, trying not to feel hurt.
Klaus just shrugged and gave you a wicked grin. "Why would he be?"
"Because I love him, and he loves me," you replied, keeping your voice low. "It's been four years, and it's serious."
Klaus let out a bark of a laugh. "Four years is nothing in the life of an original. When will you stop living in this fantasy you've built in your mind? This will end and you will move on."
You were about to respond with a few choice words when Hayley came in carrying hope.
While your relationship with Klaus was contentious and you thought him to be cruel and cold. There was no doubt that Hope loved her daddy with all of her tiny heart. She reached out to him, and he happily took her into his arms.
"There's my little one," he cooed, holding her close. "I love you, my sweet girl."
He began to place kisses all over her, and the three year old giggled loudly.
You had baked the cake for her, and placed a number 3 candle in the middle.
"Let's light her up!" you announced.
The cake was placed on the dining room table, and Elijah stood by you. He slipped his hand in yours and squeezed.
"I want auntie y/n to light it," Hope said.
You smiled wide and kissed her on the head.
"Okay," you whispered, your voice soft.
You lit the candle, and everyone began to sing as the little Mikaelson happily ate a slice of cake, messily covering herself. You laughed, taking a cloth to wipe her little face and hands. Elijah watched you with adoring eyes, you were such a loving soul and he was so lucky to be the one to call you his own.
The cake was enjoyed by all and soon it was time for gifts. Hope was handed a large package by her father, and she eagerly tore open the paper.
You were cuddled up to Elijah, and he pressed a soft kiss to the top of your head. "Thank you, my love."
"For what?" you asked, glancing up at him.
"For being here. It means a lot to me," he told you.
You looked back up at Elijah, and kissed him lightly.
"I wouldn't want to be anywhere else," you told him.
Hayley helped Hope unwrap the gift from you and Elijah. It was a wooden dollhouse, and it was a miniature replica of the compound, complete with a little Klaus, Elijah, Hayley, and Hope.
Hope hugged the dollhouse to her chest. "I love it!"
"We made it ourselves," you said with a smile.
"Look, daddy!" Hope squealed. "Auntie Y/N and Uncle 'lijah got me a house."
Klaus gave you a tight smile, and you looked at Elijah. He wrapped an arm around your waist, and held you close. This only seemed to annoy Klaus more, but he turned his attention to his daughter, and the gift that she had received.
"That's amazing, little love. Now, why don't you open the rest of your presents?"
"Okay!"
The evening winded down, and eventually Klaus and Hayley took Hope upstairs to get her ready for bed and the rest of the family retired to their rooms. You had left the dining room table a mess, and wanted to help clean up.
You had picked up a few discarded wrapping papers, when Elijah's arms came around your waist.
"Don't worry about that, my love," he whispered, pressing his lips to your neck. "Leave it, we can do it tomorrow."
"You're sure?" you asked, leaning against him.
"Very," he whispered, taking your hand and leading you towards his bedroom. "I have other plans for you."
"Oh?"
"Mmm," he replied, nipping at your ear. "You know, I've been thinking of you all day. All the things I'd like to do with you."
You flushed, biting your lips and smiling shyly. He never failed to make your heart skip a beat when he looked at you with that seductive gaze. He never had to force it either, his stare was simply alluring and attentive, it pulled you into its grasp like a siren's song.
Elijah shut the door, and the moment you turned around, he grabbed you and kissed you passionately. His hands held your hips tightly, pulling you against him. He kissed down your jawline, and down your throat.
He pushed you gently onto the bed, kissing down your neck and inhaling the smell of your skin, pulling your clothes off as he went along.
His love, his entire world, right here in his arms. If he were a more possessive man, he'd keep you in this room until his love was imprinted in your very bones.
He kissed you softly, wanting to take his time and express how deeply he cared for you with each touch. He moved down your body, worshiping your skin with his hands and mouth, and the soft sounds that escaped you only urged him on.
His bliss was quickly broken by the sounds of his brother yelling for him at the top of his lungs- an unnecessary use of volume, considering everyone had supernatural hearing.
You reached down and cupped his face, drawing his attention back to you.
"Please don't," you whispered, a pleading look in your eyes. "Stay,"
Elijah's breath left his lungs. You were not the clingy type, in fact you were rather understanding and independent; letting him go and do whatever it was the family needed, always supporting him.
He should stay, finish what he started with you, love you, the one he can't live without. But there was clearly something going on downstairs, his family needed him.
He pressed a soft kiss to your lips. "I'll be back."
"Sure," you said flatly, pulling away. You didn't quite meet his eyes as you turned on your side, facing away from him.
You were clearly upset, but he didn't have time to be swayed by his emotions. He leaned in to give you a quick kiss, but you turned your head away.
"I'm sorry, my love," he said, stroking your hair.
You didn't respond, and he had to leave you there, curled up and angry. He felt a deep pang of regret, but the thought of his family's safety was at the forefront of his mind.
As soon as Elijah left, you let your emotions come to a boil. It hurt how he was constantly running away to deal with his family. It hurt you when he put them over you, their arguments over little things always dragged him in. It made you feel undesired, and second best.
You had no doubt he cared for you, and you did believe he loved you. But did he truly love you the way he loved his own family?
No, not really. He was always holding back, never showing all of himself. He wanted a relationship, but not a true partnership. Not with you, anyway.
Your insecurities bubbled to the surface. The way Klaus acted around you, like you didn't belong, he always treated you as if you were an outsider. Perhaps he was right, that it was a fantasy, that you should move on.
It didn't matter that you were with Elijah. It didn't matter that he called you his love.
He could love you, but not be in love with you. And maybe he wasn't. Maybe this was all a lie, a ruse.
Just too good to be true.
Klaus was pacing around the courtyard, clearly worked up and ready to take it out on the next person who walked through the door.
"Is it necessary to yell?" Elijah asked, his voice calm and collected.
"I had to make sure to get your attention, since you've been so distracted lately," Klaus snarked, a pointed look on his face.
Elijah let out a sigh, this wasn't the first time they've had this conversation. He was growing tired of Klaus' attitude. "What is it that's so important?" he asked, trying to keep the annoyance out of his tone.
"Y/n is a distraction," Klaus began. "You are blinded by her, and you've become weak and weakness will get us killed." He was speaking quickly and with anger. "You are no longer the man that I've known for a thousand years. You have forgotten where you came from, what you are, and who you are meant to protect."
"Are you suggesting I cast her aside?" Elijah questioned, his voice cold.
"Yes, exactly," Klaus answered, his expression unchanging.
"No," Elijah stated simply.
"She acts far too familiar, and is clearly not one of us," Klaus continued.
"She has proven herself time and time again," Elijah countered. "What more does she need to do?"
"I don't want Hope getting attached to someone that isn't family," Klaus said.
"You can't control who Hope gets close to," Elijah snapped, his anger finally rising.
"I can certainly try," Klaus replied, his tone icy. "And I will. Because you've allowed this woman into our home, our family, and now she's acting as if she belongs."
"She does," Elijah said, his voice steady. "You just have a hard time accepting that."
"If you really care about her, then you will do what is best," Klaus replied, his expression changing. "We both know what happens to your dalliances, they come to tragic ends. I'm trying to spare her from that, brother."
"This isn't some fling, Klaus," Elijah growled, his eyes flashing with rage.
"No, she's just a girl you enjoy fucking! And now Hope is calling her auntie, and she's acting like she's Hope's mother-"
Elijah laughed coldly, his brother was so painfully transparent, his paranoia endless and ever growing. "Is that what this is about? You're afraid of her taking Hayley's place? That I would take yours? Have you officially gone insane?" he mocked, his anger at a breaking point. "Have my actions in the last few years not been clear?"
"She will not be welcomed here once you've tired of her. Once she's gone, Hope will ask for her, and I will not allow that," Klaus stated, his voice rising. "You will have broken a little girls heart because of some stupid infatuation."
Elijah's patience with his brother had worn thin. He had to remind himself that Klaus had suffered so many losses in his long life, that his paranoia had grown into something monstrous. But in times like this, his brother could be utterly cruel, and it was impossible to see him as anything but.
"It's not some stupid infatuation," Elijah seethed, his hands clenched into fists. "I love her, and that's something you will never understand. She has been good for me, and has done nothing but support us. She's not a threat, and you know it. This is the problem with you, you want everyone to suffer as you have."
"That is not what I'm doing-" Klaus began, his voice rising. "She's not one of us, and will never be. You just keep her around as a trophy, to remind yourself that you are capable of caring for another. She doesn't belong here, and it will be her undoing."
Elijah lost his control and snapped. He grabbed his brother and threw him against the wall. Klaus' head hit the stone and cracked loudly. His face contorted into an expression of rage, his eyes flashing gold. He moved forward and punched Elijah in the face, sending him stumbling back. He rushed at his brother and grabbed him by the throat, squeezing tightly. Klaus' anger grew, and his grip tightened.
"Enough!" Hayley screamed, grabbing Klaus' arm and pulling him back. She looked between the two brothers, her eyes wide. "Why are you two fist fighting when my daughter is trying to sleep?!"
Klaus' eyes were wild, and his face was covered in blood, Elijah looked the same, and neither was ready to back down. The only thing stopping them was Hayley's presence. She stood between them, and looked at Klaus. "What did you do? What could you have possibly said to him?" she demanded.
"Y/n isn't family, and never will be," Klaus spat, glaring at Elijah. "I have to protect our daughter."
"Our daughter? You're unbelievable, Klaus," Hayley said, shaking her head. "Go. To. Bed. Both of you," she commanded.
She grabbed Klaus's hand, and dragged him away. Elijah sighed, rubbing his forehead. He looked up and saw you on one of the upper balconies with an unreadable expression on your face.
Had you seen that entire argument? Did you hear the awful things his brother had said about you?
He rushed up the stairs and met you at your bedroom door. You had your bag in your hand, and he knew immediately what was happening.
"You can't," he told you, shaking his head.
"I'm not welcome here," you whispered. "I have to go, Elijah."
"You are always welcome here," he said, reaching for you. "Please, let's talk."
"We have talked," you told him, pushing his hand away. "I've heard everything I needed to hear, Elijah. You keep choosing them over me. It's always your family first, and I understand that, but you have to see how it hurts me. I can't just keep coming second in your life."
"You aren't," he whispered, trying to draw you close, but you gently pushed him away. He felt his heart shatter at the action, and he knew he had lost you. "I want you, I choose you. Don't do this, my love."
You pushed past him, unable to hear anything else he had to say at the moment, you needed space to think, to figure out what you wanted. If this was a fight you could win. "Goodbye, Elijah," you said, giving him one last glance.
He stood there, and he was frozen. How could this have happened? He thought that he had made you understand that this was permanent. That you were forever.
But he had failed to show his love properly and he had to fix what he broke. You were his greatest love, his everything, and he couldn't live without you. He was nothing without you. So he would do whatever it took to bring you back.
Because if you were gone, so was he.
You were staying with Marcel, the only person who understood what it was like to be in the Mikaelson shadow. He wasn't thrilled that Elijah had hurt you, but he did understand that relationships weren't always easy, especially with the Mikaelsons.
He poured you a stiff drink, and let you wallow.
"I shouldn't have gone," you muttered.
"It's Hope's birthday," he pointed out.
"But I should have known better than to get involved like that, it only makes Klaus jealous," you sighed.
"Klaus is a notorious asshole, and Elijah is...well, he's not good with his emotions."
"That's putting it lightly."
You drank the whole glass in one gulp, and poured yourself another.
"I don't know why I thought that he was serious," you grumbled.
"He's serious, but he's also scared," Marcel replied. "It's a lot easier for him to push people away, then have the chance to hurt them."
"It's a terrible feeling, wanting to be a part of a family that doesn't want you," you admitted.
"I know the feeling," Marcel replied, sitting down next to you.
"He told me he loved me. He told me that we were going to spend forever together. And yet, his family still doesn't accept me." You looked up at Marcel, your eyes filled with tears.
"It's just Klaus, the rest of them adore you," he told you.
"How do I get Klaus to trust me? I'm not trying to take his daughter," you insisted.
"Just be patient, give him some time," Marcel advised.
"I've given him four years," you said. "And he's not willing to accept me even a little."
Marcel nodded, and handed you another drink. "Don't worry about Klaus, he'll get over himself."
"And Elijah?" you asked.
Marcel frowned. "That's not my area."
"Yeah," you said, nodding slowly. "Me either."
You and Marcel had a few drinks and talked the night away. By the end, you had almost completely forgotten your heartache, and were simply enjoying the company.
Marcel had fallen asleep, and you were dozing off when your phone buzzed. You opened it and saw a message from Elijah.
We need to talk.
You sighed, and sent him a simple reply.
Tomorrow.
You were far too exhausted to deal with his bullshit right now. You tossed your phone on the coffee table and fell asleep.
The next morning you woke up on Marcel's couch, a blanket thrown over you. You stretched, and grabbed your phone, heading into the kitchen.
Elijah had texted you back.
Meet me outside, I have a car waiting for you.
You frowned. He was sending a car for you? You quickly responded.
Why are you sending a car?
A response came instantly.
It's a surprise.
You shook your head, but smiled a little and texted him back.
Fine, give me 10 minutes.
Hurry, we're on a tight schedule.
You showered, and got dressed, grabbing your bag, and heading out. You gave Marcel a quick goodbye, and hopped into the town car.
Elijah was sitting there, and smiled softly.
"Good morning," he said.
"Morning," you replied.
He looked you over, and you were surprised by the intense gaze. You blushed under his scrutiny.
"What?" you asked.
"You're beautiful," he said softly. "And I'm sorry, for all of this. I never meant to hurt you, or make you feel unwanted."
You shook your head. "I know you didn't," you said. "And it's okay."
"It's not," he told you, reaching for your hand. You let him take it, and he pressed a kiss to your palm.
You flushed, and looked away. "Where are we going?"
"The airport," he replied.
"What? Why?" You were completely confused.
"You are right, I'm not putting you first, and I will not allow that anymore," Elijah replied. "And to prove it, we're going somewhere, just the two of us."
"Where are we going?"
"Italy, we're going to spend a month on the Amalfi Coast." he said, a soft smile on his face.
"A month?" You asked, a hint of excitement in your voice.
"Yes," he nodded, and pressed his lips to the back of your hand. "I've been neglectful, and I need to remind you of how I feel about you.
"Eli, you don't have to do all of this."
"Yes, I do," he replied. "You deserve the world."
He had rented a private plane, and had arranged everything. You were incredibly impressed that he managed to pull it all off in the span of a night.
You sat beside him on the plane, his hand intertwined with yours, and a soft smile on his face. You couldn't help but relax, the last couple of days had been so tense, but you couldn't stay mad at him, and a romantic getaway was exactly what you needed.
As the plane took off, Elijah reached over and brushed your hair out of your face. You lifted the arm rest and cuddled up against him, resting your head on his chest. He held you close, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. You missed this, the way he was so attentive, the way he was gentle with you.
"I am sorry, for making you feel second best," he said, his voice low and full of regret.
"I know," you said, reaching up and stroking his cheek. "It's okay, your dedication to your family is part of what I love about you."
You looked up at him and kissed him softly.
"Let's not dwell on the past," you said. "We have a whole month to make new memories."
"I am going to spoil you so much, my love," he said, kissing your nose.
The flight was nearly twelve hours and you immediately fell asleep when the plane leveled out. When you woke up, the sun was starting to set.
Elijah was reading a book, and had his free hand resting on your hip. You smiled, and snuggled closer. He put the book down and looked at you, his eyes soft and full of affection.
"Good morning, or rather evening," he chuckled. "Sleep well?"
"Yeah," you yawned.
You looked out the window, and saw the city below. It was like something out of a dream, colorful houses all stacked up, the sea sparkling as the sun set.
"Welcome to Positano," he said.
"Elijah," you whispered, awe in your voice.
"Beautiful, isn't it?"
"It's magical," you gushed.
"Yes, it is."
The plane landed, and a car was waiting. Elijah had rented an entire villa for the two of you. It was stunning, with a view of the ocean, and a private beach.
You walked through the villa, looking at all the art and antiques. It was very much Elijah's taste, and you could see yourself spending a month here.
The moon was out and it cast a soft glow over the sea. Elijah took your hand and the two of you walked down the stairs to the beach.
The sounds of the waves gently lapping on the sand soothed you. You walked down the shoreline, your hands intertwined.
"You didn't have to do all this, you know," you said, leaning against him.
"I know, but I wanted to. I needed to. It was a selfish thing, really," he replied, wrapping his arms around you.
Up ahead you saw something on the beach, it was too dark to make out, but it looked like a bunch of neatly shaped debris.
You walked a little closer, and you could make out the shapes. It was a heart, surrounded by lit candles, and flowers. The words "I love you" written with rose petals on the sand. Suddenly a bunch of twinkle lights were turned on, and the whole scene was lit up.
You turned around to ask Elijah if he had done this, but the words died in your throat. He was kneeling on the ground, a ring box in his hand.
"Y/n," he began, his voice soft and loving.
"What are you doing?" you asked, a bit breathless.
"I should have done this a long time ago," he said. "I should have married you years ago, but I was afraid. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to give you everything you deserve."
"Eli-"
"No, let me finish," he insisted, and continued. "I've spent centuries on this earth, never truly belonging anywhere. Always searching, never finding. Until I found you. My home, my heart, my family."
You were crying, tears streaming down your face. You couldn't really process what was happening, here was the man of your dreams, pouring his heart out, telling you how much he loved you, how much he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you.
"You are my world, my everything. And I want to spend eternity by your side," he said, opening the box and showing you the ring.
The ring was absolutely stunning, a large ruby surrounded by diamonds. It looked antique and must have been worth a fortune.
"I found this ring almost five hundred years ago, right here in Italy. I knew that when I finally found the right person, I would give it to them," he said, smiling up at you.
"You can't be serious," you said, not intending for it to sound as harsh as it did. You were in complete shock.
"I have never been more serious in my entire life," he replied, his voice firm.
"What will your family say?" You asked, worried about Klaus’ reaction.
"Niklaus can go fuck himself," Elijah grinned. "As for the rest of them, they will be thrilled."
You nodded slowly, letting the words sink in.
"This is insane," you whispered, unable to stop staring at the ring.
"Is that a yes?" He asked, looking nervous. "Will you be my wife?"
"Yes," you breathed, and he took your hand and slipped the ring onto your finger. It fit perfectly, as though it was made for you.
He stood up, and kissed you. You threw your arms around him, your fingers tangling in his hair, kissing him back with every ounce of love you had for him.
"You're my family, you're my home," he whispered, spinning you around. "And I vow, from this day on, you will always come first. I love you."
"I love you too," you murmured, cupping his cheek. "With all my heart."
He pulled you close, kissing you deeply. You lost yourself in his embrace, in the way his hands felt on your body, his lips on yours, his tongue in your mouth.
You both stumbled to the villa, tearing each other's clothes off. Your back hit the wall, and Elijah pushed your skirt up. His hands found your thighs and he squeezed the soft flesh, lifting you up, your legs wrapped around his waist. He kissed along your neck, leaving little marks in his wake.
"My fiance," he muttered against the flesh. "My darling love."
"I like the sound of that," you moaned.
"Then you're going to absolutely adore being called my wife," he grinned, moving his lips down to your breasts.
His kisses turned bruising, biting at the flesh of your tits. He was rough with you and you relished it. It was like he was finally unleashing his feelings, letting out all the love he had for you.
You tugged on his hair, bringing his lips back to yours, hungry for his kisses, drunk off of his affection.
"Bed, Eli," you murmured, but instead, he picked you up and carried you into the shower.
He set you on your feet and turned the water on.
"We are covered in sand," he grinned.
The steam was rising as the water heated up, and the moment it was hot enough Elijah pulled you in with him. You squealed as the warm water washed over you, cleaning you off.
The water was the perfect temperature, a delicious warmth, but not as delicious as the feeling of him pressing into you, pinning your front against the tile.
He reached up, taking your hands and pinning them to the tile wall.
"Keep your hands here," he commanded, pressing a kiss to the back of one.
You nodded, a small moan escaping your lips, he kissed his way down your back. He ran his tongue down the length of your spine. Soft and gentle, teasing over the top of your ass. His hands ran over your legs, and he bent you slightly, opening your cheeks to reveal the most intimate part of you.
"Beautiful," he murmured, before lapping at you.
Your knees nearly buckled as he pressed his face into your flesh. His hands spread your cheeks wide as his tongue dipped into your core. The way his mouth touched every part of you left you dizzy with need. Your thighs clenched, your clit pulsing, ready to be touched.
But you did what he told you, and kept your hands above your head. The porcelain felt cool on your heated skin and he tugged you closer, your hands moving further down as your body was pulled back. His tongue darted into your center, teasing around your hole, his saliva coating you, trailing up, finding your puckered hole, and slowly circling the muscle.
"Elijah," you whimpered, gasping as his tongue worked you open.
He slipped a finger into your dripping cunt, working it inside, pulling it out and sliding it up, moving to replace his tongue on your tight entrance. He swirled around your asshole before pushing the pad of his finger into your tight heat, his mouth sucking on your ass, soft moans escaping him, vibrating against your flesh.
You struggled to keep yourself upright, your hands against the wall, bracing yourself, wiggling against him. The warm water of the shower cascading over you, the sensations were too much and not enough. You were panting, your head tilted back, eyes closed, as you were overwhelmed by his touch.
He pulled back and stood up, kissing along the back of your neck, he placed his hands on your hips and pulled you close.
"Do you want more, sweetheart?" He murmured in your ear, his voice low and seductive.
"Yes," you breathed, arching against him.
His cock was hard, trapped between the two of you. You ground against him, rubbing yourself on his length, desperate for the friction.
"How much more?" He asked, a smirk in his voice.
"All of it," you said.
"Right here, up against the shower wall?"
"Yes, Elijah, please," you begged.
He hummed and reached between the two of you, taking his length and teasing your core with it. He loved making you beg for him, and he loved hearing the desperation in your voice. But you were now to be his wife, and he was going to take care of you.
He eased himself into your center, groaning at the tightness of you, how good it felt to be surrounded by your warmth. You moaned as he pressed inside of you, the thickness of his cock filling you.
He placed his hands on top of yours against the wall, intertwining your fingers.
"I love you," he murmured, his hips moving against you.
"I love you," you moaned, rocking your hips with him.
He took his time with you, savoring the feeling of your body. He had almost lost you, and he needed to remind you how much you meant to him, how he cherished you.
His slow, languid movements were torture, the heat building inside of you, his thick cock rubbing every inch of your pussy. You moved together, the two of you in sync.
Your orgasm started to build, a slow burn deep within. You had never been so turned on, or so loved, the way he held you, the way he whispered your name like a prayer.
"That's it, baby, come for me," he encouraged, his hips picking up the pace.
He could feel the change, and he knew exactly how to push you over the edge. His thrusts became harder, more purposeful. His lips found the sensitive spot on your neck, and he sucked the tender flesh.
Your walls clenched and you fell apart, coming undone for him, moaning his name, over and over. He smiled against your skin, he could stay buried inside of you forever, and never tire of the way you made him feel.
He turned off the shower and pulled you to the bedroom, his lips never leaving yours. He laid you down on the bed, his body on top of yours.
"I can't wait to make love to you every day, for the rest of our lives," he smiled.
"That's a long time, Eli," you teased.
"Not long enough," he smirked.
He took your legs and spread them, kneeling between them. He guided his length into you, and pushed all the way in.
He groaned, loving the way your body opened up to him, the way you felt like home.
"Elijah," you gasped, your hands reaching for him, needing to touch him.
"I love the way you say my name," he smiled, leaning down and kissing you, his tongue licking into your mouth.
He rocked into you, slowly, the feeling of you was addictive. You were his drug and he would never be able to get enough of you. He pictured all the ways he would make love to you, the ways he would please you, worship you.
"My beautiful girl," he groaned, his body on fire, his desire burning, and it only fueled his need.
His hips snapped against yours, and you gripped the sheets, the pleasure coursing through you. Another orgasm was building, the feeling of him deep inside of you, the way he looked at you with such love.
"Come with me, my love," he pleaded, his hand moving between the two of you, finding your clit, his fingers gently rubbing the bundle of nerves.
He was so close, and he was determined to have you come with him, to fall apart for him, together.
You whimpered and moaned, your hips lifting to meet his, chasing the feeling, knowing it was so close. He pressed his lips to yours, and the dam broke, crashing over the both of you.
You came together, moaning, his cock twitching as he emptied inside of you, your walls clenching and milking him, taking everything he had to offer.
You collapsed, boneless, spent, completely and utterly satisfied. He smiled at the sight of you, blissed out and glowing, your hair wet and splayed out over the pillows. . He had never seen anything so beautiful in his entire life.
He laid down next to you, making sure to keep you close. You curled into his chest, and his arms wrapped around you, holding you tight.
"So, tell me more about this wedding of ours," you grinned, holding your hand up to look at your ring.
"I'll arrange everything, don't you worry about a thing," he said softly, nuzzling your neck.
"Is that so? I don't get any input?" you teased, turning to look at him, your lips brushing against his.
"I mean, you can make suggestions, if you'd like," he smirked, his hand running along the curve of your hip.
"Hmm, well, I do think we should get married in Positano," you smiled, and his eyes lit up.
"It’s perfect here, isn't it?" he mused, a soft smile on his lips.
"I want it to be a small wedding," you said, tracing patterns on his chest. "Family and close friends only."
"Of course," he replied. "I want it to be something just for us."
The two of you talked until the early morning, dreaming up your future together, and making plans for your wedding. It would be a simple affair, a celebration of your love, in a beautiful location, with the people who cared about the two of you the most.
The month spent in Italy was something out of a dream, the days filled with long walks on the beach, picnics in the gardens, and nights filled with dancing and drinking. You made love in the most luxurious beds, and in the most unorthodox places, including the rooftop patio one night. You even made it a bit of a game, seeing who could find the best spots to fuck in. Elijah always won, and was very proud of himself, you loved seeing him so carefree, so happy.
There was no talk of his family or what was going on at home. It was like you were in your own little world, just the two of you. But it was time to return home, the news of your engagement was something you both wanted to share in person.
When you entered the compound, Hope came running up to her favorite uncle, Elijah scooped her up in his arms and spun her around.
"Uncle ‘lijah! Auntie y/n you're home!" she grinned, and you smiled at her, ruffling her hair.
"Have you been behaving for your mother?" Elijah asked, carrying her towards the courtyard, letting her tell you both all about what she had been up to while you were away.
"I see the trip did you both some good," Klaus said, walking towards the three of you. His eyes darted to the ring on your finger, the red ruby catching the light. "Is that what I think it is?"
"What is?" Hope asked, looking confused.
"I asked aunt y/n to marry me," Elijah told Hope, smiling sweetly at her.
"You did?" She exclaimed, her eyes wide.
"Yes," you nodded, laughing at the excitement.
Hope hugged Elijah tightly, and Klaus looked at his brother, a hint of a smile on his lips. The sight of his daughter so happy warmed his heart.
"Well, I wish you both every bit of happiness," he said, giving you a tight smile.
"Thank you," you replied, knowing his words were sincere and it was probably the most enthusiastic response you would ever get from him. It was progress and that was enough for you.
Elijah put Hope down, and she took off running, the news of your engagement clearly something she was very excited about. You could hear her yelling the news as she ran through the compound. Rebekah was the first to appear, pulling you into a tight hug.
"Congratulations!" She beamed, and you hugged her back, her enthusiasm contagious. "I better be a bridesmaid."
The rest of the Mikaelson's slowly came and offered their congratulations. Hayley and Freya both hugged you, Marcel shook Elijah's hand and Kol gave you a warm smile. Hope was thrilled, talking a mile a minute about all the ways she was going to help with the wedding.
"Can I be a bridesmaid?" she asked, her cute little face pleading.
You knelt down so you were at her level, taking her hand. "How about something even more special? No one else at the wedding is going to have such an important job."
"What is it?" She asked, her face completely in awe.
"Will you be my flower girl?"
She squealed and jumped into your arms, squeezing you tight. "Really? Yes! I'd love to!"
You laughed and hugged her back.
Elijah watched the scene, a warmth in his chest. You were his family, his home, the missing piece that had made him whole. He had finally found the love he had been searching for.
You caught him staring, and walked over to him, his arm wrapping around your waist. He kissed the side of your head and let out a contented sigh. You were everything he ever wanted and so much more.
"I can't wait to call you my wife," he smiled.
"Neither can I," you said, your lips meeting his, sealing the promise, always and forever.

a Klaus fic with this gem from Ozark “look, I know I kissed you last night but I thought I was gonna fucking die”. Change to fit however you want 😘
the last thing i'd do | klaus mikaelson
author's note; whoever sent this im so sorry it's been in my inbox for seven months
warnings; hybrid!reader, mentions of violence, violence against reader, themes of death, klaus gets crazy :), then there's fluff, a bit of angst still sprinkled in, but there's a happy ending
It's a blood bath, is the thing.
She can't tell what blood is hers anymore, and the ache in her body has done nothing but grow steadily over the past ten minutes. It feels like it's been hours since it all started.
She doesn't remember who threw the first punch, just knows that someone had come at her and she had no choice but to fight back, fight for her life.
There's blood under her nails, and she thinks maybe some in her eyes because they're burning, but it might be the tears shining in them.
It wasn't supposed to be like this. Klaus had, for once, been hoping for peace. He was always braced for a fight, but he'd truly been hoping for a painless, quick negotiation.
Of course, it's turned into the worst fight they've had in a while.
She's always been on Klaus's side of things; fights, family, life. She's always had her place here, carved out by none other than the Original Hybrid himself. She's never understood just what he saw in her that earned her this place, but she wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.
Some– most– call her loyalty a form of naivety. Perhaps the sire bond still lingering, despite the fact that she'd broken it years ago. His siblings call it blindness, or ignorance, in their harsher moments. Her friends, the few that happen to be immortal, too, think she's reckless and just asking for him to kill her. Klaus Mikaelson turns on everybody, eventually, they say. The paranoid, hybrid king trusts nothing and no one. He killed his parents, multiple times, and he's kept his siblings in and out of coffins for most of their immortal lives. Why would he ever enjoy the company of one of his sires?
She's never thought he was perfect. That's something people always get wrong. They think she sees no flaws in him, when really she sees them all for what they are, she sees him for who he really is. She still loves him.
Some days she thinks he knows how she feels for him. Sometimes she can't keep it out of her eyes, and he'll catch her looking at him and his eyes will narrow slightly, like he's warning her to contain it.
Other days, she thinks there's no way he knows, because if he knew the capacity of her adoration, he'd surely have to say something. Tell her to move on. Compel the feelings away, possibly. If he were that cruel to her.
She doesn't think he would be. Since that first day he found her in the woods with what was left of her pack, they'd all watched him in fear. Some confused. Angry. But she was mystified. Enraptured by him and the power that radiated off of him.
She spent a long time feeling weak when she was younger. Even after she triggered the curse. But when Klaus told her she could become immortal, be strong, be at his side, she was the first to accept. The only one in her pack to ask him to turn her.
He'd set his eyes on her, something unidentifiably dark gleaming in his blue eyes, and when she latched onto his wrist to drink his blood, he hadn't looked away from her.
When he cupped her cheeks, he'd brushed his thumbs along the curve of her cheekbones and told her he'd make it quick and painless for her, and when she opened her eyes, he'd be there.
He'd kept his word, then. And he'd kept it ever since.
This, though. He'd given her his word, knowing her hesitance to fight, knowing that unless it was life or death, she'd rather avoid conflict. He promised her there would be no bloodshed here today.
It's not his fault, this time. She needs to tell him that. She needs to be at his side to make sure they're still fighting together, like they have for so long, yet so little time.
She throws a vampire off of her, with nothing but his heart in her palm and she quickly drops it to the ground at her feet. Turning, she pushes through the chaos, trying to cross the room to where she last saw him.
"Klaus!"
Her voice echoes over the mess and she sees him turn in the direction of it, and the fire in his blue eyes has her stopping.
He has blood smeared around his mouth and chin and she knows he's torn out more throats than he can count. The numbers are dwindling on both sides, barely anyone left standing, and she goes to close the space between them when a blinding pain stops her in her tracks.
Her choked off grunt is nearly silent amidst the yelling, but to Klaus it's like a gunshot.
He watches the point of the stake stab through her chest and feels his breath stall in his chest, fingers going numb all the way to the tips.
Her hand comes up, trembling as she skims her fingers over the blood blooming on her shirt around the stake. When she looks back up at Klaus, she tries to say his name but it's suffocated by the blood bubbling up in her throat.
Her knees give out from under her and she hears his hoarse voice yell her name as she goes down.
She can't see it, but she feels the pain that refreshes when he rips the stake from her back and throws it into the heart of the vampire that had attacked her.
She can't see it through the blur of her tears, but the sounds of retreat echo in her ears around the waves crashing.
When Klaus speaks again, his voice is closer and she blinks blearily, finding him hovering above her with wide eyes, looking uncharacteristically scared.
Her brows furrow when she sees the look on his face and when his fingers brush hers, she's quick to intertwine them with hers.
He whispers her name, the sound broken with emotion, and she squeezes his hand unconsciously.
"You're alright," He tries, valiantly ignoring the graying color of her skin despite the fact that he got the stake out of her. "You're alright, love. The pain will go away in a minute,"
She frowns, shaking her head against where he has it cupped with the hand that she's not holding. "Doesn't hurt," She whispers, swallowing roughly around the copper in her mouth.
"What?"
She repeats herself. "Doesn't hurt. Can't feel anything,"
Klaus makes a noise that she thinks might be grief. "No, no, it's alright. Here," He rips his hand from hers and his fangs tear into his skin, and he shoves his wrist against her mouth, letting as much blood drip into her mouth as he can before he heals.
She swallows it dutifully, but that numbness doesn't quite go away, and she wonders why he's so worried about it.
"Sit up," He commands her, though his voice is nowhere near as firm as it can get. "Sit up, and I'll help you the rest of the way. We'll go home, and you can rest."
"Klaus," She says his name, smiling around the syllables. "Come here."
He leans down at her request, eyes fluttering shut on a shaky breath when she lifts a blood-smeared hand up to his cheek. He whispers her name and her smile gives way to bloody teeth.
She uses what strength she can to lean up and kiss him, the pads of her fingers pressing into his pale cheek when he inhales sharply but presses back instantly, deepening the kiss.
She lingers as long as she can until she has to pull away, gasping for a full breath that she can't quite reach.
Still, a smile sits on her lips and when she meets Klaus's worried gaze, she doesn't falter. "Thank you,"
Confusion flutters on his face for a moment, but he jostles her when she starts to go limp in his arms, hand falling from his face. "No," He pulls her weight up, lifting her against his chest as her eyes flutter shut. "No. Wake up. Wake up!"
Silence follows his demands, his pleas, and through the blood on her cheek, a single tear falls from his eye, cleaning as it slides down her skin and falls into nothing.
Despite the silence surrounding him, he feels deafened.
──────
When she opens her eyes again, she can feel her body again in a way she couldn't before. Luckily, she can't feel any pain.
Her eyes go down to her chest where she knows a gaping wound had been, but there's nothing left, not even a scar its wake and she takes a deep breath, relieved that it's not followed by a throttle of blood coming up her throat.
"You're awake,"
The voice startles her, but she isn't scared when she turns her head against the pillow to look at Klaus. A frown sprouts on her face when she sees him sitting in a chair at her side, looking like he hasn't slept in days. It's not always necessary, but they have to take breaks sometimes, and she hasn't seen Klaus look this tired in a long time.
"I am," She says, swallowing a mouthful of spit in an attempt to wet her throat. "I don't think I should be, though."
"I owe many people a great deal of things, so you'd better stay that way."
His voice is dark and she can hear the anger in it, but she's not used to it being focused on her. "You didn't–"
"Do not," He cuts her off, his words nearly a growl that has her eyes widening. "Do not tell me that I shouldn't have saved you."
He leans forward, grabbing her hand in his, and she shrinks with embarrassment when she remembers how she'd touched his cheek and kissed him.
"Klaus," She squeezes her eyes shut, huffing her humiliation out. "I am– so sorry that I–"
"Don't," He cuts her off again, hand pressing pointedly against hers. "Don't apologize if you don't mean it."
She falls silent for a moment, lost as she looks at him. "I just... I thought I was going to die. And I just– I had to have it at least once."
He visibly swallows and she watches that pretty shine light up his eyes again. "You thought you were dying, and the last thing you wanted to do was kiss me?"
She nods despite the toe-curling embarrassment coursing through her.
He cuts a sharp breath out of his nose, shaking his head.
Before she realizes it, he's hovering above her, cupping her cheeks gently. "Silly little thing," He quietly scolds her, not giving her time to argue before he kisses her, ever so softly, softer than she ever thought he could be. Like she'll break beneath his touch if he doesn't treat her like glass.
When he pulls away and she forces her eyes open, she finds herself fighting off a tingling sensation from the top of her head to the tips of her toes. "What'd you do that for?"
He smiles, small and fond. "The next time you kiss me, you don't have to be dying to do it."
"Oh,"
"Don't ever do that to me again," His voice has a warning in it, but she's already smiling too hard to pay attention to it. "You know how I feel about people disobeying my orders."
Her grin is audible when she responds. "Yeah, I do."

Would you write another sub Klaus story where he is obsessed with having his face between the readers thighs?
It’s okay if not 🫶
Needy Little Boy-Klaus M.
Klaus had always been good at eating me out.
Good isn’t the right word, he was a God when it came to eating pussy, but once he began really allowing himself to descend fully into his headspace and be the Submissive boy he was meant to be, he became obsessed with shoving his face between my legs.
I was honestly a bit embarrassed about it at first as he was so persistent about doing it multiple times a day and not just in the evening when we escaped his family for our alone times. He found it completely crazy that I was embarrassed, confused as to why it was something to worry about at all
I wanna make my Mommy feel good, why is that wrong?’ He asked, pouting in a cute way that only Klaus could with those adorable chubby lips that I love so much.
‘It’s not wrong baby boy, Mommy’s just never had someone want to do that for me, let alone as often as you do. It’s just something to get accustomed to is all.’ I explained but he didn’t look like he understood.
‘Then other men are stupid, I want to make my Mommy cum on my tongue. You taste like Heaven and I love how your legs shake around my head, and how you pull my hair so good and the noises you make for me. I want you to put me on my knees all the time…’ he clearly loved being on his knees for me and it’s honestly not something I can in any way be upset about. He worked his way out of his seat slowly as if I wouldn’t notice if he didn’t move too fast, ending up in front of me again, laying his head on my thigh and waiting for my permission, knowing he’s not allowed to play with either himself or me without my permission. ‘Please Mommy?’
He always wanted it, like my clit was a substitute for a pacifier when he wasn’t in the mood for one and it was actually a sexy thought.
The reason we needed to have a rule that he can’t touch me without permission only came about because he couldn’t seem to keep himself from eating me out at times he should be doing other things, such as sleeping.
I was awoken to the feeling of a nearly painful orgasm ripping through my abdomen and as my eyes opened I quickly realized how overstimulated I was, my clit swollen and sore as I looked down, still half asleep, to see my Little Wolf crouched on the bed with my thighs on his shoulders as he laid on his stomach, feet hanging off the end of the bed with his tongue lapping up my cunt like his life depended on it. He was making the most obscene noises I had ever heard and I was torn between wanting to fuck him and wanting to spank him as I realized it was 2:43 in the morning.
‘Niklaus!’ I shouted and he gasped, jumping in fright as he looked up with a guilty expression on his face, a face that was soaked in my slick. ‘What do you think you’re doing?’ I questioned, reaching down and grabbing him by the hair, pulling him up to force him to crawl back to me.
‘I was making Mommy feel better-‘
‘I felt fine, I was sleeping.’ I spoke with a deadpanned expression.
‘No! No, you were wet and needy, I felt you grinding on my leg in your sleep so I made you feel better…3 times.’ I nodded slowly, taking in what he was saying before deciding on what to do, actually shocked that he was able to make me cum 3 times without me waking up.
‘Okay. I want to say that was a nice thing to do-‘ he nodded frantically but I shook my head back at him. ‘-except I can’t because it was completely self serving and you did it because you wanted to. I’m sad that I have to do this, because I actually enjoy the mornings I get to wake up with your sweet lips on me, but from now on you are no longer allowed to touch Mommy unless she says you can.’ His eyes went wide and he looked ready to explode.
‘Not Fair! I should be allowed to make my Mommy feel good whenever I want-‘
‘And you were allowed, but now you’re not because you took advantage of it, doing it while my baby boy should be getting a good nights sleep, and instead of taking care of me nicely once, you continued to do it until I became sore.’ He was about to argue again but his lips smacked shut when he took in the last part of what I said.
‘I made you sore?’ It wasn’t a big deal at all but Nik always hated causing me any kind of pain and I was happy to milk it this time.
‘Yes you did, Mommy’s pussy is sore and it’s because you are a greedy little boy.’ He whimpered, quickly moving to wrap his arms around me and snuggling into my neck.
‘I’m sorry Mommy, didn’t mean to make you hurt-‘
‘Calm down Nikky, I’m fine. You however, need to learn self control. From now on if you want to touch Mommy you need to ask.’ He pulled back, a desperate, upset look in his face.
‘I need to ask whenever I want to hug you?!’ I quickly shook my head in response to that.
‘Of course not Little Prince, only when you want to touch Mommy’s special places. You can hug me whenever you want, I would never make a rule against your snuggle time. That would be abuse, not discipline. My baby boy gets snuggle time whenever he wants, no matter what kind of punishment you’re enduring. Now, it’s time to go back to sleep, come here and snuggle Mommy like a good boy.’ He did as I said, me pulling the blankets up over us as he wrapped his larger body around mine like a weed.
‘Mommy?’ He mumbled and I hummed. ‘Can I suck?’ He asked and I hesitated, wanting to make it seem like I was considering saying “no” before smiling and pulling him closer. He tucked his head under my shirt and wrapped his lips around my nipple, content with his head residing under my shirt as it somehow made him feel more secure.
I couldn’t dislike how much he loved eating me out, especially because he was so incredibly good at it. He would have his mouth on me 24/7 if it was possible and even though I often turned him down (usually at public events when he tried to sneak me away) he was always ready to ask again.
Since becoming the little Sub that I knew Klaus was he had become a needy little slut right along with it and I adored that about him, and I would never wish it different.

I've been wondering about Hope's sire bonds and specifically Hayley's because they never address it in-show. we know Hope's sire bonds work like Klaus' (ie they dont require love/obsession like vampire/vampire ones ex - Damon/Elena) in that whoever her blood turns is immediately loyal to her until they break it. during the gap between s1 and s2 of TO, it's said that hayley spent a lot of time as wolf roaming around the bayou grieving and i like to think with Hayley's previous work breaking hybrids' sire bonds with Klaus, she knew how to break her own and that's when it happened.
on the topic of Hayley and werewolf transitions, it's such a shame they'd killed her already when they had Hope transition as Hayley being the one to talk her through it would make so much more sense than Klaus (also i wanted to see Klaus' wolf form with wolf!Hope, would've been cute) as we'd seen Hayley with the girl in s3 during the road trip and she was always much more in touch with her wolf side than Klaus was. Klaus never seemed like he cared about being a wolf, just what it represented (the power that was stolen from him by Esther & Mikael).
totally random but Legacies deciding that post tribrid transition, Hope could magic herself clothes after turning human from wolf form was so funny to me. it just felt so dumb.
I like your theory about Hayley breaking the sirebond. I think she definitely would have needed to break it being so far away from Hope. She was already missing her the normal amount a mother would be after sending her newborn child away. But with the sirebond on top of it, it would have driven her mad. It would make sense that was what she was doing in the bayou. But I fear you have spent more time thinking about it than the writers. Much like the Damon/Elena sirebond. They wrote it in for a very specific purpose and then just pretended it didn't exist anymore.
I also hated how the writers changed the different bonds to fit the plot. Why would Klaus' sirebond operate any differently than a typical sirebond which requires preexisting feelings. Purely for plot device.
I absolutely hated that they centered Hope transitioning for the first time around Klaus. The man didn't even transition once after he broke the curse. He felt nearly no connection to wolves and didn't understand or try to understand pack life. It should have been Hayley with Hope. Hayley understood being a wolf on a deep level, and as you pointed out, helped people in the past. It was such an unnecessary dig at Hayley to kill her as a vampire. They stripped her of the thing that made her feel most her and then killed her.
I also agree that Klaus didn't care about being a wolf. He cared about power. He needed to be the most powerful, including next to his siblings. TO Season 1 kind of teases Klaus being interested in his wolf side but then it is completely dropped. Except for Klaus shouting about being a hybrid every five seconds.
I feel like all of Legacies was just one big joke honestly. They twisted the rules and laws of the world they spent nearly a decade establishing because they were lazy.
Thanks for the ask!

Youngest Original ~ TVDU
Ch 7 - Memory Lane
Mikaelson!OC
Warnings: sadness lol? Plotwist? Kassie is feeling very nostalgic and melancholic + my favorite man is back!!!
Masterlist
There's nothing but the rain No footsteps on the ground I'm listening but there's no sound
October 2010, Mystic Falls
Two more weeks have passed. Stefan was still refusing to hand over their siblings. Kassie could tell Klaus's patience was paper thin and if she was being honest, so was hers. She understood why Stefan was doing all this; Klaus had no right to compel him and take his will away. But this was getting out of control.
Klaus told her he was going to negotiate with Stefan one last time. She asked what would she be doing. Her brother just laughed and with sickly sweet words told her to stay put while he dealt with the situation. Kassie had to actively control herself from lashing out at him.
He always sidelined her and her ideas, no matter how good they were or if they made more sense than his. She was to sit aside and let him do everything. But how could she sit idly while a vengeful vampire basically kidnaped her family? No matter how hard she tried explaining to Klaus that they were her family too, he wouldn't listen.
She knew why he never allowed her to do anything; it was cause he thought she would ruin everything. To him, she was a nuisance and a liability. Why did he even undagger me, she thought. She was not allowed to do anything outside of his preplanned procedures, so why did he bring her back?
Was he simply just bored and wanted company? Did he truly feel remorse for breaking her trust and betraying her? He never told her the true reason and after two months of being back in the land of the living, she was starting to get frustrated with his antics.
~
While Klaus was out negotiating with Stefan, Kassie had hours to kill. It was a sad, gloomy day; the skies above Mystic Falls were grey and full of dark clouds, indicating it would rain soon. The poor weather meant she was stuck in the house. It also brought a sense of melancholy onto Kassandra's mind.
An idea popped up in her head. She walked toward her closet and opened it. A big wooden chest stood at the bottom of it; inside were a bunch of old-looking diaries and notebooks. They all belonged to Kassandra. After undaggering her, Klaus was gracious enough to ship most of her belongings from Geneva to their new residence in Mystic Falls.
They were all chronologically placed in order by year. Her eyes danced over the years - 1939, 1922, 1914, 1864, 1492, 1453 and so on. The very first one was the biggest in size, the pages were yellow and she was honestly surprised it lasted all these centuries. The first page had the year 1104 written on it.
"Do you really want to do this?" she asked herself. She hadn't opened this diary in particular since...the accident. That was over 900 years ago. But something in her mind was telling her to open it and read. And so she did. As she read, memories of her past flooded her mind.
May, 1104 AD
"Today was the most splendid day. Axel gifted me with the most beautiful present - wedding rings! Mine even has a blue gem at the top! Today marks 100 years since we made our union official—one hundred years of pure bliss and joy. I pray for an eternity of peace with him by my side. Destiny has so far been kind to the two of us. My siblings were nowhere in sight and I haven't heard from them in decades. I intend to keep it that way."
This passage tightened Kassandra's heart like she hadn't felt in centuries. She blinked away tears and shook her head. She looked inside the wooden chest once again. In the corner, next to one of the diaries, was a small trinket box made of rosewood. It had floral engravings on it and was clearly made centuries ago.
She picked it up and she could already tell this was a bad idea. She should stop now and save herself the pain. But the yearning inside her heart was too great to ignore. Kassie took a deep breath and opened the small box.
Inside the box was a silver ring. It had Norse knots engraved on its sides and at the top sat a small, emerald-cut sapphire. Even after all these years, it hadn't lost its shine. Kassie turned it in her hands, examining it. She hadn't looked at it in so long she had almost forgotten how beautiful it was.
The more she looked at it, the more her eyes watered until eventually, tears started spilling down her cheeks. The ache in her heart was painful but not unfamiliar; it took her back to a time and place where pain was the only thing she felt.
By the time she put back everything in its place, the rain started pouring from the skies. For some reason, she wanted to go outside. Out of sight, out of mind was the principle she used all these years and now she had ruined it all by looking into the wooden chest.
The cracks in her heart were starting to ache again; they never truly healed in the first place, but at least they were dormant. Not anymore.
Before leaving, she scribbled down a quick message for Klaus and left it at the front door. She then put on her long black coat, grabbed one of the umbrellas, and walked outside only to be greeted by the cold wind and rain. She didn't mind it, she welcomed it as a distraction. The streets were empty; everyone ran inside to hide from the rain. But not her.
~
Her black leather boots clicked against the wet concrete as she went further and further away from the town. The place she was looking for was deep inside the forest surrounding Mystic Falls. She walked over Wickery Bridge but then made a sudden stop.
She observed as the raindrops danced on the surface of the river and listened to the quiet hum of the river's movement. When she was a human, there was no bridge and the river existed as a mark to indicate the end of their village's territory.
After a couple of minutes, she continued with her little journey. After another mile of walking, she could see it in the distance. Not bothering to use her vampire speed, she slowly walked until she finally stood in front of her special place. Their special place.
It consisted of a small rock formation, though it was big enough for people to sit on it. This was the place where she would sit and patiently wait for him to arrive. The reason why she had to sneak outside of the village was because she knew her parents would disapprove.
To her surprise, it was her mother who was strictly against Kassandra being involved with anyone. Their mother was strangely against any one of her children getting married. Kassie never understood why.
The rain was still pouring from the sky, making the rocks wet and shiny. She walked around the rock and crouched down. On the back of it, two carvings could be found. Both were names written in Runic, the written script of Kassie's native language.
ᚪᛋᛖᛚ (AXEL)
ᚳᚪᛋᛋᚪᚾᛞᚱᚪ (KASSANDRA)
She ran her hand over his name. "My love...where are you? Are you even alive?" She whispered in her mother tongue, choking on her own tears.
For many months, they would meet in secret and share kisses under the light of the moon. Together, they carved their names on this rock to immortalize their love. Little did they know, they too would become immortal.
After a little squabble with Damon Salvatore and witch spirits, Klaus finally took back what was his. Daniel, his hybrid, was carting in his sibling's caskets into one of the halls. Upon entering the house Klaus could tell it was dead silent. His sister usually had music or some TV show playing, which meant she was gone.
"I think this is for you," Daniel said and handed him a small piece of paper. Klaus unfolded it and in small, neat letters he recognized as Kassandra's, a short message was written.
Went out for a walk. Will be back in a couple hours. - K
Klaus hummed. She never went out anywhere without notifying him before leaving. But she was also known to go on spontaneous walks so this didn't surprise him. He just wondered where she was and why she didn't tell him.
After carting in the last casket, Daniel asked him if he would open them up. "Not quite yet. I have some unfinished business to take care of." Klaus said as he walked past the caskets.
"What business?" Daniel asked but before Klaus could respond, the man fell to the ground, dead. Behind him was Elijah, holding the hybrid's heart.
"So, Niklaus," Elijah said, looking Klaus dead in the eye.
"Elijah..." Klaus gasped, shocked to see his brother alive.
"What did I miss?" Elijah asked, getting closer to Klaus.
***
Gasp! Kassie was married!?
I felt I needed to lay the foundations of Kassie and Axel's relationship now, so that the payoff, well... pays off later on down the line lol
Elijah is baaack!!! I just realized that this is the first time we'll see him and Kassie together in the main timeline!
Yes, my girl was married and doesn't know where her hubby is. That's why she's so depressed. Wonder who could be behind all of that...hmmm?

Okay, I've told myself I'll write a fic about this for a long time, but I don't think it's going to happen, so let's write about it here instead.
Consider: aroace Betrand Baudelaire. Specifically, consider aroace Bertrand Baudelaire along with Violet Snicket.
A Bertrand whose best friend was always Beatrice. She understood him as he was and loved him like no one else. A Bertrand who spent his whole life thinking about how lovely it would be to live with one of his friends, but knew it would never happen because they were all very alloromantic and weren't going to want that with him.
And then one day, Beatrice shows up at his door, crying. He knows what happened between her and Lemony; how she still loved him, but had to end it for enough reasons to fill a 200 page book. He knows that Lemony is now on the lam and has faked his death. So he thinks he knows what's wrong. It's that she is still mourning her relationship with Lemony.
And then Beatrice tells him that she's pregnant. She doesn't know what to do. She wants to keep the baby, but Lemony's situation is not one that would allow him to be a father. That's why she broke up with him. His circumstances are too complicated for anyone to be involved with him, especially an innocent infant. Even if Lemony isn't involved, everyone will know who the child's father is. It's obvious.
So Bertrand proposes a solution: he will marry Beatrice and act as the child's father. Beatrice gladly agrees. She has always loved Bertrand. She has always clung to Bertrand. Lemony has always been her love, but Bertrand has always been her rock, her comfort, her sanity. And after the way everything went down with Lemony, she would be more than happy to never have a romantic relationship again. Bertrand is sweet. He's smart. He is kind and gentle. He'd make a loving father. It was never the future Beatrice pictured for herself, but it isn't hard to say yes.
At first, everyone is still suspicious of the child's paternity. They know how recently Beatrice was together with Lemony, and they know Bertrand was never one to have sex. But within a few years, Beatrice is pregnant again, and there's no sign of Lemony anywhere. Clearly Bertrand is at least willing to have sex for procreation. By the time Sunny is born a decade later, no one questions their marriage.
Their marriage is real and beautiful. They enjoy raising their 3 children. They spend every day in each other's company. It is, in effect, a queerplatonic relationship. Beatrice often wonders what could have been if Lemony's circumstances were different, because how could she not, but she never regrets a thing. She is happy this way. No doubt happier than she ever could have been with a man as troubled as Lemony, even with how much she loved him.
I don't know if Violet and Klaus notice that there's something different about their parents' relationship when they're still alive. To them, this is what marriage has always looked like. Their parents are close and they love each other; that's more than can be said of some of their friends' parents.
I do think that when the books come out and they see Lemony's dedications to Beatrice, some things click into place. Their father loved their mother, but not quite like that.
I'm not sure when Lemony caught on, but I have to imagine he is respectful of it all, even if very saddened. Bertrand was always a good colleague and a good man. If Lemony's downfall was what it took for Bertrand to get the kind of relationship he always wanted, perhaps it was for the best. Bertrand would certainly be a better father to his child than messy, unpredictable Lemony, whose passion had always been his downfall. Lemony would have much preferred to be with Beatrice and raise his own child, but clearly things are better this way.
Anyway. Perhaps one day I'll write the fic. If any of you want to beat me to it, please go ahead. But that's the headcanon I've had for quite a while. I've always liked the takes on the Sugar Bowl Generation where Bertrand is Beatrice's best friend first and foremost, and this is really just an extension of that. But I love this theory so much that I'm still not entirely convinced I didn't steal it from someone else (although I've never seen anyone else say it, so I don't think I did).

Under the Mistletoe
Many people questioned how the tradition of kissing under the mistletoe started. Just who had been the first person to say that denying a kiss under the plant would bring bad luck?
That’s precisely what (Y/N) wondered as she hung bundles of them over many entrances in The Abbatoir.
Somehow, the supernatural world has decided to take a break during the holidays. Especially the feuding groups of New Orleans that had decided on a truce between them. They wanted to celebrate Christmastime in honor of all the lives lost and all the lives that started.
Having this kind of peace wasn’t normal. Not having to fight for their lives was not something anyone around the Mikaelson family knew. But here they all were, preparing for a holiday feast. All bad blood between the family had been laid to rest to enjoy that night. Maybe the love/hate that always lingered between them would resurface the next day, but at least they would have that night.
Klaus Mikaelson sat on a couch with a smile on his face, watching as the girl jumped from door to door placing the plants.
“You do know most of the people that will be in attendance tonight are related, love,” Klaus grinned. “It wouldn’t make much sense to have them stuck under some tradition that brings bad luck.”
“Obviously it’s different when you’re family, Nik,” she smiled, stretching her body on a ladder to hang one on the main entrance hall. “It’s just a kiss on the cheek. But honestly, I’ve never heard of anyone getting bad luck because of this. I don’t even know how it all started. It’s just a bit of fun.”
As she finally hung the last mistletoe, (Y/N) lost her balance and fell backward. She braced herself for the impact against the hard ground, but it never came. Instead, she fell into warm arms that cradled her body before she could hurt herself.
“You clumsy girl,” Nicklaus chuckled. “How many times have I told you to be careful?”
“Maybe I did this one purpose,” (Y/N) grinned as she placed her hand on his jaw. “You’re under the mistletoe, darling.”
The hybrid raised his head and laughed as he noticed he was in fact right below the three little red circles. (Y/N) was nothing if not a tease more often than not. She was a bundle of happiness that juxtaposed his own ire-filled heart. She was the reason for the little mercy he’d give the people who crossed him.
Since (Y/N) had come into his life, he found the anchor he’d needed for so long. She understood everything he did and why he did it — though she disagreed with 98% of all the things he did and how he did them. But she never looked at him differently. She never saw him with scared-filled eyes or with disappointment, her (Y/E/C) only looked at him with love. And he was scared for the day that she didn’t — it terrified him.
But at that moment, in his arms, (Y/N) stared at him in adoration, waiting for the moment their lips would collide. Her legs shook with giddiness, waiting on Klaus to finally make his move. With another chuckle, he finally pressed his lips to hers. An out-of-character soft kiss.
“You know,” he said as he set her down, placing his hands on her hips. “I was the one that started this centuries-old tradition.”
“You?” (Y/N) chuckled. “Why would you ever start something like this, Nik?”
“What can I say, love? I’ve always been one for a little mischief.”
“This is more than a little,” she laughed. “You made a whole tradition that even made it into the Christian rendition of the holiday. Many people actually believe that refusing a kiss gives you bad luck.”
“Who’s to say it doesn’t?” Klaus grinned. “You do know we were witches before we were vampires.”
“Klaus,” she gasped. “Did you really curse a whole plant for fun?!”
The man broke out in laughter, the sound booming across the space. He sat back down on the couch, beckoning (Y/N) to sit beside him. She smiled at him before settling on the space beside him, her head falling onto his chest.
“You do know that part isn’t real,” he said. “People back then believed too much in superstitions and I played into it. Apparently, that little joke stuck through centuries.”
“That’s good to know,” (Y/N) chuckled against him. “Although I wouldn’t put it past you though. No offense, darling.”
“None taken, love. My reputation precedes me and I am not ashamed of it.”
“Well, luckily though, we don’t need that silly tradition to kiss all we want,” she grinned mischievously at him. (Y/N) flipped herself onto his lap, her legs on each side of him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and placed a teasing kiss on his lips. “We don’t really need the mistletoe for much of anything.”
“I like where your head is at,” he growled as his hands gripped her hips, pushing her into him. “Maybe we can make this into the next Christmas tradition.”
“Well, it seems this will have to wait until after dinner, brother,” Rebekah’s voice filled the room.
(Y/N) left Niklaus’ lap as embarrassment filled her body, sitting next to him as she had been seconds before.
“Impeccable timing as always, Rebekah.”
“I tried to get her to wait so you both could have this moment by yourself, but she insisted on ruining the moment,” Elijah said. “I do apologize for the impromptu intrusion, (Y/N).”
“Oh, that’s no problem,” she laughed. Getting up from the seat, she went to give the siblings a hug. “You guys could never intrude.”
“Hey, you’re standing under mistletoe,” Rebekah stated, pointing at the little plant over Elijah and (Y/N). “That means you owe her a kiss, Elijah.”
In an instant, Klaus was between his brother and his partner, pushing him out of the way.
“Yeah, I don’t think so,” he said. “The only one giving (Y/N) a kiss under the mistletoe is me.”

Day 27“Please don’t go.” and 28 Fight/Flight/Freeze
I've fallen behind for whumpril so I'll be racing to finish the missing days before the month ends, so sorry as they'll be out of order, but here's Days 27 and 28.
Mother's son- Dahlia collects her son and scars three children in one go.
----
They would never have been left to go hunting on their own if they didn’t know what dangers to fight and which to run from. Finn was the oldest he had made sure both his brothers understood they had to follow his words before they left.
The woman that finds them in the woods doesn't look like a threat but Finn froze as he recognised her.
His nightmare, the monster that stole Freya, the witch, mother’s sister, his aunt, she smiled when her eyes met his and he shivered.
He was thankfully for Elijah’s too sharp eyes alway noticing a change in them for once, as he stopped and pulled Klaus behind him without a word from Finn, but Finn wanted to shout at them to run, to flee the monster that had already taken the best of them.
Instead he forced himself to move, to step in front of Elijah, to try and hide them, pointless as he felt both Elijah and Klaus lean around him to look.
“Wh-what are you doing here?” he stuttered as he forced himself to speak.
“Ah you remembered me, that makes this easier.” She spoke like it was a normal meeting of a long missing relative as she kept smiling, looking more pleased than she did in his normal nightmares.
“What easier?” Elijah had asked, reminding Finn this wasn’t a nightmare and his brothers were with him, Klaus who had Freya’s gold curls and was only a little younger than she had been.
Was she after him? His wondering is cut short when she speaks next and he feels a pit open beneath him.
“To claim what is mine.” she smiles at Elijah and Finn wants to scream as it hits him, the similarity between them, dark hair and eyes, the way Elijah’s features had been growing sharper as he aged; the memory of mother’s larger hands holding his to her belly, feeling the flicker of the baby underneath them and mother explained a desperate plan to get Freya back and Finn had helped with the tiny amount of magic he had, he hadn’t cared about losing the baby if he got Freya back.
“Why shouldn’t I come for my son?” she added without looking away from Elijah.
He felt hand grab his arm as Elijah let out a whimper as he realised he was the one she apparently after, wasn’t a baby they would lose now.
Finn discovers he cares more than he thought as it hits him even if he would get Freya back that sound was going to haunt him.
“Finn?” Elijah's voice is quiet but the fear in it is loud.
Elijah had rarely spoken as a child enough that he had worried Mikael when he noticed; it wasn’t until Klaus was born that his brother’s voice bloomed, singing songs to settle the baby, telling him stories to entertain him, but Finn had rarely heard him sound scared. Angry, hurt, sad, Finn had heard and been the cause of most of them but fear was rare and around Klaus and Kol absence, Elijah never let any of his bad feelings appear on him around the babies, it was one of the many things he envied of his brother.
Finn didn’t like hearing it now.
Dahlia sighed loudly before Finn could even start to figure out how he could explain any of it.
“They wouldn’t have told you but before you were born your m- my sister cast a spell on the child within her, making you mine.” she explained simply in a way Finn couldn’t deny or soften. “My child, My son.”
There wasn’t a way to lessen it, to make what mother and Finn had done sound like anything other than the betrayal, just like Finn knew there wasn’t a way he could stop this, mother hadn’t been able to stop her taking Freya, how could Finn do anything to stop the same happening to Elijah.
But she couldn’t take him. Not now, why didn't she come when Elijah was born too small, when Finn had needed to wake him as he forgot to breathe in his sleep, before he became the first one Klaus and Kol reached for.
Why come for him now when they would miss him?
Elijah who was always watching Finn, oh how Finn hated those dark eyes following but the idea of them being gone wasn’t acceptable.
“Now come with me.” She said without any room for argument, cutting through his spiralling thoughts, he had to do something but Finn was still frozen, stuck as it felt like Elijah’s hand was burning on his arm. Words, denials, threats lodged in his throat.
“NO!” a high voice shouted into the still air and Finn’s heart skipped a beat as he was remind of his other brother, the one who was the same age Finn was when he had watched Freya taken.
“Klaus!” Elijah yelped in surprise letting go of Finn to reach out to stop the youngest from moving but he slipped from his reach “Stop!
“YOU CAN’T TAKE HIM.” Klaus screamed at the witch as he stomped toward, doing what Finn hadn’t years ago, defending his favourite sibling.
“Why not he’s mine?” she said, clearly humouring the child.
Klaus didn’t pay any attention to her words and charged at her with a roar.
Short legs didn’t carry him far before she sweep her hand out in front of her and he was flung back with ease, yet landing oddly softly for the distance and rolling slightly.
Elijah left his side driving towards where Klaus landed, and Finn watched as Elijah was once again the brother Finn had failed to be, one that never let his own feeling get in the way of what his siblings needed, another reason she couldn’t take him, he decided to act.
He was a child last time when she stole Freya and hadn’t done anything, but here was Klaus the same age he had been fighting back.
He wasn’t a child now.
She turns from the scene of Elijah kneeling over Klaus to see him as he tightened his grip on his weapon, he just needed one hit and then he grab Klaus and run, Elijah was faster, he could get back to mother first and they could do something.
Mother had sworn to get stronger, surly in the last nine years she had grown strong enough to stop her sister this time.
It never gets that far as pain suddenly blinds him, his hand leaving his weapon to grab at his head as he feels his knees hit the ground and the cold sink thought it, all he hears is his own screaming.
—-
Elijah’s checking over Klaus, trying not to think about the woman’s words, the way Finn had known her as soon as she appeared, the way his brother hadn’t said a thing against her.
It made sense, why mother treated him differently, why he didn’t look like mother, father and Finn. He had thought with Kol it was proof he was part of the family but he heard adults mention how Kol had father’s nose and mother looked at him in a way she didn’t look at Elijah.
Because Elijah wasn’t her son, because she had already given him away, because she didnt-hadn’t wanted Elijah at all.
He’s barely got Klaus back to his feet when the screaming starts.
He twists on his knees to see a sight that brings bile to his throat and he’ll never forget. Finn, his big brother on the ground curling in on himself as he clutched his head and screamed. It’s not hard to connect to the woman standing feet away with her hand outstretched.
“Stop!” he has to shout over Finn’s voice, “Stop it!”
“Only if you come with me.”
“Of course i’ll come,” he says as Finn’s screams die to a worst sound as he hears his brother crying from the pain, “just please,” he begs on his knees, “stop hurting him.”
He almost sobbed himself in relive as Finn’s cries stopped, Elijah tearing his eyes from the woman to watch his brother slowly recover, to make sure he was still breathing.
“Now” she beckoned, dragging his attention back to her.
He swallowed as looked between his brother before he closed his eyes and stood up.
“Lijah, no!” Klaus' jumped to follow him from the ground, his tiny hands wrapping around to cling to his wrist as he shook his head “please don’t go.”
It hurt to pull his hand from Klaus but he had to, even if all he wanted to do was to pull his little brother into a hug and never let go.
“Elijah don’t.” Finn’s voice is rough, raw from the pain that he sounds older, but without meaning it offers Elijah reassurance that he’s doing the right thing.
Finn would be fine, he’d take Klaus back and mother would make it better for them, this was the right thing to do.
Elijah didn’t belong with them.
“Lijah, come back.” Klaus begs and Elijah curls his hand to stop the urge to reach out.
Elijah belonged with the woman, mother had made sure of that before he was born.
His hands shake curled at his side but he doesn’t turn back, he keeps his back straight as he reaches her side and her hand settles on the back of his neck.
He walks by her side, focusing on placing one foot in front of the other as he stepped further away from his brothers, from home, it was easier that way than pay any attention to the widening hole growing in his chest as he heard Klaus’ sobs and the knowledge he would never see them again, or the burning in his eyes.
“LIJAH!” Klaus’ cry pieces the air as the tears escape Elijah’s eyes but he refuses to look.
—
Klaus wakes with a gasp, the chest aching feeling following him from the dream to life.
He glares at the room around him, a world away from what that child could ever imagine.
But that child had one thing Klaus couldn’t get back, something being back in mystic falls just reminded him of it.
Even breaking the curse and making himself whole again, hadn’t fixed the empty space that had been made that day.
Elijah had never stopped haunting him, being back in the place where he had lost him had just made the feeling stronger.
He always wonders what he would have grown to be with his brother at his side, someone who always looked at him with awe and love.
Warm dark eyes full of love, always there to give him all of his attention, the way he had never been able to upset him, never failed him in any way.
He tries to tell himself Elijah would have grown out of it, would have coldly stood by father or looked away, that he only hurts because of the memory of a kind brother who was only sweet in the easy way a child would be.
He would never know.
Sadly Elijah could only ever be that child, frozen as flawless, perfect and dead.
Klaus would take flaws and imperfection if he could have his older brother back.

Can you pleasee do a fic like 18 years after when their daughter brings home her bf for dinner who has the whole bad boy vibe and their whole interaction?
(klaus,vicki)
Meet The Parents | The Umbrella Academy AU
Pairing: Klaus x Vicky (OC - The Eighth Child’ Verse)
Word Count: 1,3 k
Warning: Strong language, mention of drugs
a/n: Thank you so much for your request, I had a lot of fun with it. I hope you like it, I really love writing Dad Klaus lol also I'm still working on requests so just keep an eye out everyone.
(Masterlist)
"Hello, Liebchen..." Klaus walked out of the bedroom following the smell of fresh bread and seasonings for the marinara sauce.
Even though he was 52, he still dressed pretty much like he always had. He wore a shimmery see-through crop top and the tiniest underwear, glitter from the party they attended the night before still covering his eyes, cheeks, and (somewhat gray) curls. Ah, the advantages of being empty-nesters...
Ever since Fortune left to go to college about 45 minutes away, Klaus and Vicky had been living like they did in their early 20s. Parties, weed, drinks, junk food, lots and lots of sex. No one understood how they got the energy, but they did.
"Good morning, sleeping beauty! This has to be a new record, you slept for half a day," Victoria teased. "Hungry?"
"Oh yeah, I'm definitely hungry," Klaus embraced her from behind and slid his hands up to feel up her chest. "You look even sexier now that I'm sober."
"Thanks, but I don't think we'll have time for that now, Klausie," she laughed.
"What? Why?" He pouted.
"You forgot? Fortune is coming for dinner, honey, she's bringing her new boyfriend."
Klaus' demeanor immediately went sour, it was the first time their daughter was bringing a boy for them to meet and he was sure he would hate anyone she introduced. Not because he'd necessarily be an asshole, but obviously because no one in the world can ever be good enough for his Fortune.
In an effort to be as different as possible from his own father, he became the most doting dad he possibly could. It was a miracle his daughter turned out so sweet and grounded after how spoiled she was.
"I know I promised to be cool about this dating thing, but..."
"I know," Vicky stirred the sauce carefully while giving her husband a sympathetic look. "You never thought you'd be square and get jealous of your little girl, but there you are. Don't worry, Tunnie has a good head on her shoulders and good taste. She knows what a good man looks like, we raised her well."
He nodded, trying to blindly trust his wife, as more often than not, she was right. What's the worst that could happen? She was only 18, it's not like she could get pregnant... or marry way too young... or join a cult with this guy like several people did when Destiny's Children was around. Well, shit.
About an hour later the doorbell rang, Klaus had already showered and put on some less slutty clothes, so he ran to open the door while Victoria set the table.
"My Tunnie!" He pulled his daughter into his arms and squeezed her as if it was the first time they saw each other in years (it had been a week). "I missed you so much, is your throat better? Did the medicine help?"
"Yeah, Dad, I'm fine. I missed you too," Fortune chuckled, already used to the overprotection.
"Oh, check it out! I love it," he took her arm to get a better look at her new tattoo of the moon. "Uncle Luther is gonna love it!" He joked, completely ignoring the boy waiting by the door as well.
"Thanks," she smiled, pulling her boyfriend closer as her mom joined. "Dad, this is Jax. Jax this is my father, Klaus, and my mother, Victoria."
"Hey," was all he said.
"So nice to meet you," Vicky went in for a hug despite being a little hesitant. He didn't seem like the type of guy her daughter would be interested in.
The boy was tall and muscular, his arms were covered in tattoos, his long hair was shaped a little bit like a mullet and messy, he had a dangling earring, wore a spike necklace, and a leather jacket. From what they could count, he had two more piercings (on his eyebrow and his tongue).
"Jax? Like a dog?" Klaus laughed. "Come on in, dinner is ready."
An awkward silence engulfed the entire family while everyone got themselves some pasta and garlic bread. As a former horrible influence, Klaus could recognize one when he saw it, and he didn't like it one bit.
"So, what are you studying, Jax?" Victoria finally asked. She had to admit despite not being the sort of man she would've gone for back in her day, he was very handsome.
"I'm in nursing school," he answered. "My mom was a nurse in Japan before we moved to America."
Klaus nearly choked, a nurse? Really? That guy looked like he would punch someone in the face for asking him the time.
"Oh, you're Japanese? Where are you from? My husband and I did a ton of missions- works there," Victoria smiled.
"Osaka."
"Wow! That's amazing, we loved hanging around Dotonbori. Right, Klausie?"
"Um? Yeah, yeah, really cool place," Klaus nodded, trying not to let his thoughts wander too much.
"Jax is also in a band, he plays the drums," Fortune added. "He helps at the animal shelter on the weekends and volunteers at the nursing home every Monday."
"Good one," her father snorted before he could stop himself.
"What do you mean, Dad?"
"Oh come on, are we just gonna pretend like Asian James Dean looks like someone who likes to volunteer!"
"Klaus!" Victoria scolded. "What did I tell you? You were never like this, you were never one to judge appearances, what's going on?"
"Yeah, Dad, you always told me you can never judge a book by its cover when my classmates would tease me saying you're gay!" Fortune exclaimed.
Meanwhile, poor Jax sunk in his seat wanting nothing more than to disappear. He was scared something like that was gonna happen and he really liked Fortune.
"I know, but- but you're my daughter! And he's bad news!" Klaus cried irrationally. "I know how that sounds, Vicky. I know I'm bad news too, but in a different way!"
"Klausie, you were the most promiscuous teenager I've ever met, you broke every law I can think of, you used every substance under the sun, and you were a cult leader involved in a tax fraud scandal!" Victoria scoffed.
"Alright, yeah, that's true... but in my defense, it was the '60s, cults were all the rage!"
"Dad, you have nothing to worry about. Yeah, he's kinda intimidating at first, but he's a huge softie, he's just shy," Fortune said, taking her boyfriend's arm.
"I- I wanted to leave a good first impression," Jax admitted. "But when I'm nervous, I shut down a bit."
Klaus suddenly felt like shit seeing the kid looking so scared. He never had that experience to meet Victoria's parents, he couldn't imagine how scared he would be, how horrible he would feel if they treated him like he treated Jax.
"You know what? Let's give it another shot, you seem decent enough. I'm Klaus, nice to meet you," he offered his tattooed hand.
"Jax Hayashi, nice to meet you too," the boy smiled, grateful for the second chance.
"Tell me in thirty seconds why you deserve to date my Fortune," he teased.
"I work hard, I always try to better myself, I cook, I'm good with kids and animals, I like to make her laugh, and... and I love her, she's the most amazing and most beautiful girl I've ever seen in my life."
Victoria grabbed her husband's arm, her heart tight with emotion. Just like him, Jax was good and sweet, just underneath a little bit of a weird surface. Fortune smiled, knowing her dad would come around after all.
"She really is, isn't she? Not to brag, but I helped making her," Klaus chuckled. "Fun fact, did you know Fortune here was actually conceived in 1963 right before the assassination of JFK?"

Completely Alone
Fandom: The Umbrella Academy Summary: It's been a long time since Allison has heard anything from her siblings. She reaches out to them and while she's met with very mixed feelings, the thing that she's really panicking about is different. No one remembers the last time that they heard from Viktor. Warnings: Mentions of suicidal thoughts, self isolation, and depression Word Count: 11,039 Ship(s): Viktor Hargreeves/Five Hargreeves

A/N: If you couldn't tell already, I really adore the idea of Viktor isolating himself and then being forced out of it. I think that if that had happened before the show even started then they never would have had to deal with the whole apocalypse mess. I decided to write something focusing on a farm this time because it brought me a lot of comfort to think about him living happily even a little bit, and then it turned towards fiktor at the end lol. I hope you all enjoy! Stay sissy and bitchy everyone <3
Allison couldn’t stop the smile that was spreading across her features the more people that showed up to the meeting that she had planned. They had all been in the new universe that had been created during the last apocalypse that they faced for almost two years. It was only when she stumbled over the first movie that she had ever made while reorganizing her living room, the one that she had invited her siblings to come and watch in LA with her (not that any of them were able to make it), that she realized how long it had been. She had been hesitant to reach out to any of them at first because she wasn’t sure how it would be received but she quickly caved when Claire came home one day with a family tree assignment.
Ben had been the first person that she reached out to, despite them not being close. She hadn’t been able to find any information from anyone else since they had all assumed different last names. She understood why they did that, as she was known as Allison Chestnut in this universe. It was a little hard to be carrying around the name of the most famous man in the world when they weren’t legally adopted by him anymore.
The only reason that she had been able to find the singular sibling that she had was because Ben had become a famous artist since moving to the new universe. Through him, she had been able to get the contact information for Klaus, who then had the numbers and addresses for the rest of their siblings. She worked hard on making sure that she had a day where everyone could attend despite their now very busy lives. She even picked a neutral place, a park in the middle of The City, so that no one had the upper hand due to it being in their home or had to drive too far.
She had spread out a plethora of soft picnic blankets out on the ground for people to lay on as well as several camping chairs set up in a half circle. They had decided that the best kind of meeting for them to have would be a picnic, something none of them had been allowed to do when they were children and a very neutral activity.
People began to show up right on time, which she had expected from her family. Punctuality had been drilled into them from the time that they could get themselves from place to place instead of having to be escorted and/or carried.
Claire was practically vibrating as she leaned into Allison’s side, her hand clenched in her mother’s. Allison knew that she could trust her siblings to be around her daughter after the mostly positive reception that she had when she reached out to them all, but she mostly just wanted to avoid the six-year-old running up to them and overwhelming them.
Five was the first person to arrive, and he didn’t have much to say to her. She knew that the two of them had never been close when they were younger because he was always hanging around Viktor and back then Allison hadn’t much cared for her brother. She also guessed that there was some amount of animosity still brewing inside of him for what she had done to Viktor the last time that they had all been together. She just said hello to hm and then introduced him to Claire. Five was far more receptive to his niece, asking her questions about school and her hobbies while Allison situated the fruit tray that he had brought in the cooler behind the chairs.
Diego and Lila, surprisingly, showed up next. They had with them their own daughter, who was about one and a half years old. She had Diego’s nose and mouth with Lila’s brow and eyes. The duo introduced her as Chrysanthemum Grace, a name for both of their parents. Claire was enamored with her baby cousin, showing her all of the little toys that she had brought to keep her occupied when they were in the hotel. She barely even paid any mind to her aunt and uncle after her cousin was placed down on one of the blankets. Alongside their daughter, Diego and Lila also brought some cookies that were placed on top of the cooler and away from sticky child fingers.
Luther and Sloane, who he had been able to find only a few months after arriving in the new timeline, showed up at the same time as Ben and Klaus. That was the only thing that was able to drag Claire out of her newfound obsession with her cousin, was seeing her favorite uncle. This world didn’t have the Umbrella Academy in the same way that it did in the first one, so Claire had heard different stories about Luther and the way that they had all grown up. She was still enamored with him even if she didn’t think of him in the same way that she had originally (not that she knew that). Luther and Sloane brought an assortment of baked goods that they had apparently made together. Ben brought some treats from Germany, the most recent country that he had a showing in.
Klaus was the last to arrive, to the surprise of absolutely no one. He had always been bad about dragging his feet even when they were doing something mundane like going to class because it was just the kind of person that he was. He had hugged all of his siblings and then gone on a long story about the cheeses that he had brought and how he was getting back in touch with the Amish part of his history.
It was wonderful for them to all be back together like they were, Allison had never felt more connected to her family than she did at that moment. She had missed them all more than she could have believed was possible. They had been through so much when it came to both their lives in the Academy and later with the apocalypses.
Allison was shaken from her thoughts when her daughter rushed up to the side of her chair and very excitedly asked, “Mommy, can I show Chrys my book? I think I can read it to her all on my own!”
The older woman chuckled as she reached into Claire’s backpack and then pulled out the novel, which was another reason that she had realized she had to get back into contact with her family. She handed the chapter book over to Claire and then turned to the adults present, “Speaking of Claire’s book, I have something that I wanted to talk to you all about.”
“What is the book she’s reading?” Lila asked, craning her neck to the side so that she could try to read the title from around where Claire’s hands were clutching at the cover.
Allison cleared her throat to get the other woman’s attention as she said, “It looks like Vikor wrote another book about us.”
“Another book?” Sloane asked, glancing to Luther for some explanation of what she was talking about.
Her husband quickly provided it, “Back when we were in the first universe, Viktor wrote this book talking about how Dad ignored him because he didn’t have any powers. He also included a lot of details about Dad’s abuse towards us and it kind of drove the whole family away from him.”
Diego let out a gruff noise. After Ben had died and Five had left, Diego was the one that was closest to him. They had even run into each other a few times as teenagers and talked about starting a band, though Viktor always had some excuse about how to put it off when the ball started actually rolling. Then the book had come out and Diego had made sure to avoid all of the spots that the other man could have found him.
“This book isn’t anything like that, though,” Allison quickly said. “Viktor wouldn’t be able to write anything about that because the Umbrella Academy never existed in this universe. Reginald never adopted us so there was no way for Viktor to be drugged, rumored, and then neglected. This is more like a fantasy/sci-fi series meant for kids.”
“How exactly did you find out about this series?” Five asked as he turned his head to look from his nieces towards his sister. He tried to keep an eye out for anything suspicious or that could possibly result in his family being hurt, so it bothered him that he hadn’t picked up on this.
“They send home chapter books with the kindergartners at Claire’s school, for the adults to read to them on top of the ‘learning to read’ books that they get every week. It’s to help them engage with books and learning how to read instead of being forced to do it in a way that’s uninviting,” Allison explained. “Claire loves them, she’s always begging me to read her one more page when we read them before bed every night.”
“So they’re fiction stuff?” Sloane asked as she turned to look at the book that Claire had. Just like when Lila had, however, she was unable to see anything other than her niece’s fingers covering the cover as she pointed to words that she knew.
Allison let out a little sigh, “Hey Claire, would you mind bringing your book back to me? I need you tell your uncles and aunts about it, okay?”
For a moment, she was worried that her daughter was going to throw a fit. Allison knew that she was an indulgent parent and she needed to act more like an authority figure and less like a friend, but it was so hard when she remembered the ways that she was treated as a child. Claire was a bit spoiled, but Ray was helping with that. So instead of throwing a fit like Allison had expected her to, Claire simply pouted as she handed the requested item over. “Do they want to read to them too, Mommy?”
“They’re thinking about it, baby, that’s why I have to have it so that I can tell them about it,” Allison replied. She brushed some of Claire’s hair away from her face and then sent her to play on the playground as Chrys was beginning to wear out.
As soon as the six-year-old had taken off in the direction of the playground, Lila leaned over and picked her daughter up from the ground. She moved the eighteen-month-old around so that she was sleeping on her stomach, her forehead pressed against Lila’s collarbone.
Allison flipped the book over and then read off the back. "In the year 2000, forty three women around the world gave birth. This was odd only in the fact that they hadn't been pregnant when the day began. Professor Monocle has adopted fourteen of these children from around the world that showed promise for superhuman abilities ranging from talking with the dead to super strength to time and space manipulation. He raised a superhero team of thirteen that debuts to fight the world's greatest evil. Will the mighty Umbrella Academy be able to defeat The Conductor and save the world or will their first real mission be a disaster? Find out in the thrilling first installment of Viktor Tatiana's The Umbrella Academy."
Allison waited for a moment before she turned the book back over. "The title of this one is Facing the Music. The whole book is about the Umbrella Academy training and learning to work together to take down the villain named the Conductor."
They were all quiet for a while as they took in the information that they had just been given. It was hard for the family that had been around for the debut of Viktor's first book, the one that had tormented them all and caused them so much pain. There didn’t seem to be anything inherently malicious about this book, it felt like more a trauma-processing activity than the last one had. But that didn’t mean that it wasn’t digging up negative feelings from those that had witnessed the first books publishing.
Diego was the first to speak. "Do you think this is why he didn't show up for the meeting?"
Slowly the attention flicked over to where Five and Luther were sitting, both of them silent. "Well?" Lila asked, kicking at the base of Five's chair to get his attention.
He jerked up so that he was boring his eyes into her head. "What?"
"Why didn't Vik come to the family gathering?" she repeated for her boyfriend.
Something inside of the man changed then. It was weird enough to see their baby brother, the one that had been the mentally oldest of them all and yet the physically youngest, looking like he had seen more than any of them could ever fathom. He tilted his head up so that they could all see those broken, hurt emotions that were buried deep in his eyes. “Viktor hasn’t spoken to me since we returned to this universe. We went our separate ways at Oblivion Park and I have been fruitless in my attempts to contact him since then.”
“Luther, surely you’ve gotten some word from him. The two of you were so close during the wedding,” Klaus said, worry knitting at his brows. To any casual person it would look like he was reclining happily back in his chair with his family, not a care in the world, but to his family they could see the tension in his brows and shoulders that meant he was worried for their brother as well.
Sloane shook her head and then reached over to hold her husband’s hand. Luther said, “We tried to find him too because we were getting pretty close and I wanted to make sure that he was okay after our powers started coming back. I mean, we all know how much trauma he has concerning his powers and being alone. Both together and separately.”
“I don’t,” Ben groused under his breath, but everyone ignored him.
“So no one has any contact with Viktor since we came back to the new universe?” Allison asked, anxiety rising in her chest. She may not have had the best relationship with their youngest brother back when they went their separate ways, but she still loved him deeply. There was a time, in between apocalypse and during them, when she and Viktor had been very close with each other.
They all shook their heads, looking back and forth at the other. It was decided then that they were going to look for their brother, high and low, until they were able to find him. The fact that he was an author with a relatively famous book series would help, but not as much as they were currently hoping that it would.
---
The sun beat down on the back of his neck as he bent further over the patch of earth, digging his fingers down into the roots of the weed. He plucked it up from where it had been buried and then brushed off as much as of the sod as he could before he dumped it into the small pile next to him.
Viktor’s garden was his current pride and joy, what he poured all of his energy into so that he could feel proud of something. His agent said that he should feel proud of his books because they were doing very well, but he couldn’t help but feel guilty for them after everything that had happened in his first universe and the fact that he hadn’t asked permission to do it again.
The garden was something that he had been working on for years, though, since he had moved out to his farm. He had a series of six planter boxes, each of them about six feet by four feet, so they had plenty of room for what he was growing. He had all types of vegetables, ranging from carrots and potatoes to peas and a singular zucchini plant. The garden was deer-proofed, which was probably why it was doing so much better than it had in the years prior. The only thing that the deer could get to this year was the raspberry shoots and they hadn’t started to fruit yet. When they did it was always way more fruit than Viktor could eat before it went bad, so he didn’t mind sharing with the local wildlife.
He poured a lot of time and effort into his garden. It made him feel good to know that he had brought something to life, that he had nourished and encouraged a plant into flourishing as much as his garden did. He also enjoyed the fact that growing his own food meant that he didn’t have to go into town as much. In the spring, summer, and fall he was able to keep his trips to once a month unless an emergency popped up. The winter was a bit more difficult because he usually started to run out of preserves or frozen vegetables towards February and March.
He vaguely picked up on the birdsong somewhere else in the forest, letting it lull him as much as the music currently playing from his portable record player. It was something from the 80s, a light song that he remembered from the better times of his teenage years. It was something that he could sing and hum along to when he was trying to focus on not disturbing the little buds of growth that were just beginning to peak through the well-fertilized dirt.
The farm was always full of sounds, so he didn’t really turn to look when he heard the gravel driveway crunching bedside him. Instead, he focused on pulling out he last of the budding dandelions from the earth of the planter box, tossing it down onto the heap. He brushed the dirt off of his hands and then onto the thick material of his jeans as he pushed himself up.
“Denise, I said that I would call you guys when she calves, you don’t have to come up here once a week,” he chuckled slightly before he turned around and saw something that was distinctly not the work truck that he was expecting. Denise and Norman Price were the couple that owned the cow farm just a few acres away from Viktor’s own farm and they brought their breeding bull for the season up to his farm for whenever they were getting their heifers preg-checked and didn’t want him around. It also meant that Viktor could breed his own cow and keep her milk in. The only problem was that they both shared a shitty work truck that broke down as much as it worked and was caked with mud.
The car that was currently sitting at the end of his driveway was a very shiny, albeit dusty from the farm road drive that it had just endured, red Audi. Viktor didn’t know enough about cars to know what kind of make or model it was, but he recognized the logo on the front of the exhaust vent and he knew that it was an expensive brand. The only other type of car that he saw more often was the electric Hargreeves cars, but it made sense that wouldn’t interest the person that clambered out of the vehicle.
A growl and series of loud barks snapped him out of his surprise. He whistled and then shouted, “Charlie, Eleanor! Heal.”
Both dogs turned around and rushed to their master, eager to please. Charlie had been barking out of excitement, so he sat beside Viktor with his tongue lolled out of his mouth. Eleanor, on the other hand, hated other people and was barking to make the stranger go away. When she finally heeded his command, she sat down directly on his feet and wuffled her discontent.
“Viktor?” Allison asked, her voice caught in her throat. She could still speak, unlike after the first apocalypse when she had been sent to the sixties, but she was astounded that after so long spent searching she had been able to find him.
He subconsciously took a step back from her as she walked around the side of the car. “Uh, what are you doing here?” he asked as his eyes flicked back to the farm behind him.
“I came to find you,” the other superhero replied. She either didn’t notice the fear that was radiating off of him as he became increasingly more uncomfortable at her very presence or she didn’t care. “What are you doing all the way out here?”
“Right now? I’m gardening. It’s sunny and I wanted to take advantage of the good weather before the storm came in tomorrow. I have a lot of outside chores I have to get done today,” he slipped into the explanation for why she was going to have to leave like it was second nature. There was a different kind of culture amongst the rural community that Viktor had been living in for the last several years. People understood why he wanted to isolate himself, no one went and worked on a farm acres away from the nearest city because they wanted company.
Allison had lived in large cities surrounded by people her entire life, even when she had been staying in 1960s Dallas for two years. She wasn’t able to pick up on the message that Viktor was giving her, that he wanted to be left alone. She continued to approach him the same way that she would when they were younger, before she had done all those reprehensible things to him in the Sparrow Academy’s foyer.
The red healer on Viktor’s feet sensed her owner’s apprehension at the approaching individual. She pinned her ears back to her head and then began to growl. The muscles in her back and shoulders rippled as she stood up to face Allison properly.
“Ellie, what has gotten into you?” Viktor asked. He looped his fingers through her collar and then turned her so that she wasn’t facing towards the new arrival anymore. “You’re gonna go get some of your energy out,” he informed her as he turned her in the direction of the horse pasture. She was able to weave in and out of the fence pretty well, since it was made to keep animals much larger than her inside, but she stayed in there because when she was with both of Viktor’s horses she felt like she had a job.
Charlie and Allison walked alongside the man as he brought Eleanor to where she was going to be serving her timeout. The former of the two was much more appreciated than the latter, not that Viktor would say that out loud.
He helped Eleanor duck her head down underneath the lowest rung of the gate and then released her once the majority of her body was inside of the pasture. She turned around and gave him a happy bark, apparently having forgotten that Allison was there and she was supposed to be angry. The healer quickly rushed off to interact with her favorite out of all the animals, the brown dapple mare that Viktor had rescued. She had swayback so badly that he didn’t even think about putting a saddle on her the entire time that he had been caring for her, instead just letting her enjoy her life for whatever amount of time she had left.
“This is quite the place that you have,” Allison commented. Her eyes were turned towards the barn that connected the horse pasture to the cow field he had on the other side. He had done that on purpose, so that he could bring all of his animals inside and then house them in the barn when it was too cold for them to be outside. It also made it a lot easier to get feed out to both of them.
The layout of his farm was something that he had spent a lot of time working on, especially in the first year after he bought the property that had already been there. He had a barn and a house when he first moved in, but he was the one that had set up the feeding troughs and fences that made each area what it needed to be. The house and the barn were close enough that it only took him about five minutes to get there when the snow was deep, but not so close that he could smell it immediately through his window. His garden also lay out between them, slightly adjacent to the gravel driveway. Around him was a lush forest full of creatures that was only disrupted by the other farms surrounding him. It was the perfect little piece of the world that kept him safe.
“Thanks,” he replied awkwardly. He was picking at some of the larger mud clots that dotted his hands to try and settle the nerves that were raising in the bottom of his gut.
“What happened, Viktor?” Allison asked as she turned back to face her brother.
Viktor felt his heart sink down to the bottom of his stomach. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. Is the world ending again? Is it Dad?”
She furrowed her brows like that wasn’t what she had just been implying in Viktor’s mind. He didn’t know what she wanted from him if she wasn’t here to yell at him about something that he had accidentally caused that disrupted her life. That was what all of their interactions had been the last time that they were together, after all.
“Nothing happened,” she laughed as she shook her head. “You’re just all the way out here and no one had a way to contact you.”
“Somebody obviously did, if you were able to find me,” he muttered just loud enough that she could hear him. He was hoping that if he continued to go about his day she would leave, but he also just needed to get everything done before the storms started coming and he wasn’t able to work outside anymore.
She followed him as he walked back over to his garden. He entered through the gate, leaving it open so that Allison could come with him. Charlie was right by his side the entire time, leaning into his owner affectionately. That was the reason that Viktor had originally adopted the dog, because Charlie was a retired emotional support dog and so was very good at helping him calm down. Viktor didn’t use him for the training that he had, allowing him to just live his life as an animal on the farm, but it was nice to have that kind of unwavering support and reassurance.
“Why are you all the way out here?” Allison asked as she closed the gate behind her.
“I thought that this was what you wanted,” he replied. Immediately he regretted it, even wincing as he turned his head away from his sister. He had a lot of feelings about what she had done when they were trying to stop the Kugelblitz, made even more complicated by the burgeoning sibling relationship that they had in the month and a half leading up to that. He was working through a lot of those feelings in therapy but he hadn’t gotten very far since there was a lot of other stuff he had to unpack as well. Still, even with all of his complicated feelings and emotions, he didn’t want to hurt Allison in the same way that she had hurt him.
The farm got as quiet as it ever did while he continued to work. He picked up the pile of weeds and then dumped them into the bucket at the edge of the garden. Luckily, he had already finished with all of the weeding by the time that Allison showed up so he didn’t have to stay stagnant around her for much longer.
He brushed his hands off on his gardening apron again to try and get rid of the mud before it turned back into dirt and stuck to his hands like glue. He grabbed the bucket and left the garden just as his sister asked, “Have you been out here the entire time?”
“Yeah. I got it for pretty cheap because very few people want to live this far away from civilization nowadays,” he explained. He left the gate of the garden open just until she had exited and then he latched and locked it so that it was once again deer proof.
“But you do?” Allison asked, still following him as he walked over to the barn. He dumped the weeds into his compost pile and then grabbed the shovel to turn it over as he thought about what his answer was going to be.
Eventually, Viktor settled on saying, “I do. I like it out here. It’s quiet and I can’t hurt anybody.”
That seemed to shock the woman enough that she fell quiet for a time. Viktor finished with the compost and left the bucket beside the bin for the next time that he needed to weed or muck out the dual animal pens.
“Why are you out here?” Viktor asked when she hadn’t said anything for a moment.
Allison snapped out of the shock that she had been in. Her eyes refocused, staring at her brother like he would disappear if she so much as blinked. “I got in touch with the rest of our siblings. We were worried about you when we realized that no one had been able to get in touch with you since we got back. Especially Five.”
Viktor went quiet. Guilt was beginning to mix with the swirling anxiety that now lived in his stomach. He had been fairly certain about the decision that he made to live his life the way that he was, but Five had been the one question that he had during the entire process. Viktor had waited for Five for years and years, even after he had moved out of the Academy and the years turned into decades. Still, he knew that this was the right decision even if made his heart ache at the mere thought of his childhood love.
He walked through the barn again and then past his garden to the backdoor of his house. Allison trailed behind him, obviously uncomfortable and anxious about what she was supposed to be doing.
“You can come in if you want to. I don’t want to keep you longer than you planned to stay,” Viktor said as he glanced back at his sister. Despite himself, he did miss being a part of his family and having them around. They had spent so much time squashed together in one building when they were trying to stop the world from ending that it honestly felt kind of nerve wracking to be away from them in the slightest. But it had been two years, and Viktor had trained himself into getting used to it. Having Allison this close brought back a lot of the emotions that he had buried inside of himself upon their arrival in their current universe, though.
“I’d love to come in,” she smiled pleasantly at him.
Viktor nodded awkwardly. He opened the door into his wet room, giving Charlie the command that would let the dog know he wasn’t allowed to go through the rest of the house yet. He let Allison step in before he closed the door behind himself and then turned to the sink. He shucked off the apron that he used when weeding and hung it up on the back door before he removed his boots. He left those in the large tub that he used for washing off his dogs and equipment whenever he was this muddy. He then turned around to the large industrial sink so that he could clean off his arms and hands.
While he was doing so, Allison carefully approached Charlie. She placed her hand in front of him so that he could sniff her and get used to her scent. She jumped and then laughed when he barked before he began to lick at her hand. “Sorry. He’s starting to go deaf so he’s getting pretty vocal,” Viktor apologized.
He finished wetting his hands in the water and scraping off the dirt before he walked over to the dog. “Paw,” he said, holding out his hand. Charlie immediately knew what he was asking and offered up his paw. Viktor checked to make sure that there was no mud or dirt that would be too hard to sweep up later that night. He did the same with the other before he opened the baby gate that separated the mud room from the rest of the house.
He turned around and closed it before Eleanor had the chance to shoot into the house and out of the mud room prior to him checking her over. It had happened a couple times before and resulted in him having to scrape mud up off of his floors at nearly midnight after a full day of work. He swore that she had a sixth sense about it.
“This is a nice place,” Allison said as she looked it over. “Bigger than your last apartment.”
That much was true, though the compartmentalization of the cabin style home made it feel like his old place in a good way. He enjoyed that it was small enough to feel cozy without being so small that he felt like he was going to be placed back into the room in the basement.
The front entryway led into a living room that had a couch and a recliner, along with at least two lamps and Viktor’s television. Past the living room was a hallway that led to the kitchen on the right side and a bathroom, dining room, and guest bedroom on the other. There was a door in the living room that lead directly to Viktor’s office space, which had a desk with his computer on it and a music stand in the corner along with a display for his new violin. The kitchen was a pale yellow color, which offset it from the rest of the house which was cream and white. The bedroom door was the last in the hallway, the furthest away from the living room and very simplistic. It looked almost like the guest room except that instead of just the bed, end table, and chest of drawers it also had a plethora of pet beds scattered near the walls. He had collected quite a bit of art and some other knick knacks in the years that he had lived there, so the entire house looked very lived in and welcoming.
“Thanks,” Viktor said as he stepped into the kitchen as well. He opened the cupboard closest to the opening of the mud room and got out the treat that Charlie had been waited for. He carefully placed it down on the dog’s nose, where it balanced until he gave the cue that it was okay to eat it. Charlie took the treat into his mouth and then bounced off through the house to find a place to store it and eat it in privacy.
“So you’re just out here?” Allison asked, trying to bring the conversation back to where it had been before Viktor let it slip that he was out here for safety.
“Yeah. It’s my home and I like it out here,” he replied. He walked over to the bucket full of scraps that he had in the kitchen that was meant for the chickens and then placed it on the other side of the baby gate so he could take it out when he went to get Eleanor.
“How did you decide to buy a place like this?” she asked as she walked through the kitchen to peek out at the rest of the establishment.
Viktor thought about how to phrase it for a moment, unsure if he was willing to reveal his secrets to his sister just yet. Finally, he said, “I really liked living on the farm with Sissy. I figured that since I was getting another chance at living, this time without my meds, that I could do it how I liked. I feel safer out here anyway.”
They were quiet for a moment. Viktor got two mugs out of the glasses cupboard and then dug out the tea he knew she liked from the back of his drawer. He remembered a lot of things about his siblings and had based a lot of his home around them because he missed them. He dropped the tea bags into the mugs and then pushed the food down on his electric kettle so that the water would heat up. He got the honey that Sunny, an elderly woman that lived two farms down, had given him in exchange for a dozen eggs every two weeks out as well.
“I, um, I noticed that you wrote another book,” Allison said, her voice almost getting stuck in her throat.
Viktor felt a shiver go down his spine as he realized that his new series had already made its way all the way to his siblings. He had been half hoping that none of them were going to find it despite the fact that he had published it and it had become a wild success. That series was one of the only reasons that he was able to maintain his farm with all of the expenses that came with it.
“Oh?” he asked, trying to make his voice as steady and even as possible.
She nodded. Allison turned and reached into her purse just as Viktor tipped the kettle over so that it was filling both of their mugs with warm water. He kept an eye on her as she flipped it open to show it to him while he poured a healthy amount of honey into the mugs. He handed one over to her and then motioned with his head towards his dining room.
They sat across from each other at the table in silence for a while as they both sipped at their tea. Then Allison said, “Why did you write it like this? It’s not at all what our childhood was like.”
That comment was one that made Viktor want to scream. “The last time that I wrote about what our childhood was actually like you guys got really upset. I didn’t want to do that again, so I just made it what an idealized version of our childhood would be like with enough angst that it made a realistic series.”
“They’re very well written. Claire likes them a lot,” Allison commented softly. She left the mug of tea basically untouched after that, too busy tracing the embellished words on the front of the hardcover book.
“You’re reading them to your daughter?” Viktor asked. He was trying very hard to keep the tears shining at the edges of his eyes back where they belonged. He carried a lot of guilt for taking Allison away from her daughter twice with him, so hearing that she had brought a piece of him to her made him want to start bawling.
She nodded, “She brought them home from school. It’s one of those early reading initiatives that are really popular right now. She absolutely loves them, we’ve probably read most of the stories by now.”
There was silence for a bit before Viktor asked, “Does she know that I’m the one writing them?”
The ‘does she know that I exist’ hung heavy in the air between them as Allison waited to answer. “She doesn’t.”
“Right,” Viktor cleared his throat. He got up and peaked in on Charlie, who was staring under the guest room bed while something very angry hissed at him under the bed. “Come here, you big lug,” he chuckled. It was so much easier to process what his sister was saying and the fact that she had found him at all when he was doing other things.
He grasped the dog underneath the collar and then dragged him away from the bed, releasing him only when he was in the hallway. The animal that he had been bothering slinked out from underneath the frame of the bed, stretching wide so that her pretty calico fur shimmered in the creeping evening light. “Was he bullying you, Sweetness?” Viktor asked as he leaned down and picked up the cat so that she had her front paws on his shoulder.
Sweetness was very receptive to this, leaning into him and rubbing her face on the side of his. She was the only one of his cats that preferred to be inside instead of lurking around the barn for mice. He walked back to the dining room as he set the cat down on one of the unoccupied chairs. “It’s getting kind of late, you should probably get going back to town,” he made sure that comment was a lot more direct than his last one was in the hopes that she would pick up on it easier.
“I can stay for longer,” she tried.
He shook his head. “You should get out of farm country before it gets dark and it’ll take you about an hour to get back to The City. There’s a lot of deer out here and they don’t fear the road because it’s usually so quiet. I wouldn’t want you to get in a wreck,” he tried again.
Allison’s shoulders slumped forward as she seemed to realize was he was implying. She got up from the table, tucking his book back into her bag where she had gotten it from. “Can I hug you?”
There was a beat of silence before he nodded, giving her the consent that she had asked for. She moved forward and wrapped her arms around him in a brief hug before he walked her through the front of the house.
“Am I going to see you again sometime?” she asked hopefully. “Maybe at the next family gathering?”
“I don’t think so,” Viktor shook his head.
“Why not?” Allison seemed almost offended by his answer.
He pursed his lips and looked up towards the sunshine that was beginning to turn golden as it peaked over the very tops of the trees. It was only about seven in the evening, but summer was slowly slipping away as the days wore on. He was so close from getting her out of his life again, so close to being able to return to the simplicity of the new life that he had made for himself. Finally, he threw caution to the wind and said, “None of them want me, Allison. When we arrived in the new world and they all came out of the elevator with me they just left. None of them tried to find me or reach out to me even before I moved out here. And you know what, they’re in the right for doing so. I came back into their lives and then I literally caused three apocalypses. They may not have been having the best time before then but at least their lives weren’t constantly being threatened. When I’m out here and my powers go off, the worst thing that I can do is accidentally knock over a tree or kill a deer. I’m not threatening the people that I love, especially since none of them want me.”
She just stood there for a moment, her eyes wide. Viktor figured that she had either forgotten about all those nasty things that she had said to him back when they had their fight in the Sparrow Academy or she hadn’t realized just how badly they had gutted him.
“You can go back to them and tell them that I’m fine. I’m not going to be causing them any more problems and no one has to come out here to check on me anymore. I hope that you like the books and I’ll be sure to send Claire a signed copy when the next one comes out,” Viktor informed her. He stepped off of his porch and walked around the side of the house so that he could finish up the rest of his chores and bring everything that needed to be inside there.
He heard the sound of her car firing up and then the crunching as she turned around and drove back down his long, gravel driveway to leave him in his chosen isolation.
---
“That’s a strong suckle reflex, which is very good,” Dr. Oakley informed him as she let the calf wrap his mouth around her finger. She had already checked all of the other vitals, but this was the one that was most important because it would show whether or not the calf was going to be able to eat. “But that’s not a shock. Martha makes real strong calves.”
“And the Prices have good cattle that they use to help breed her,” Viktor nodded. He was exhausted since he had spent the entire night the day before up so that he could make suer the calving went well despite his heifer being proven to be a good mother. Every pregnancy and birth was different though, and he was always afraid that the birth he slept through was going to be the one that went south and cost him his cherished animal.
“I think that this little guy is going to grow up to be a great addition to a heard somewhere. Make sure that you work with him the way that you have the others and he’ll sell higher in auction,” the farm vet said then as she released the calf to go back outside with his mother. Viktor nodded along with everything that she was telling him despite the fact that he knew it all already.
The crunching of gravel down the road caught both of their attention. Dr. Oakley was the only person that Viktor had been expecting that day since he needed her for the new arrival, especially since Norman had already been up to Viktor’s little farm to see the baby cow as he always did when Martha calved.
Viktor walked to the edge of the barn, the vet following closely behind him, and then he felt his heart sink into his stomach. It was another car instead of the work trucks from the surrounding farms, which meant that it was likely another one of his siblings coming up to bother him.
“I believe that I have some family stuff to attend to. Are you finished here or is there still some more that we need to do?” he asked.
The vet shook her head. “I’ve done all the checks and given the little guy all the shots that he needs. Martha looks good too, you did a very good job guiding her through the delivery of the afterbirth. You know all the signs to look out for if something starts to go wrong too. I’ll pack up and you can deal with your family stuff, alright?”
“Yeah, thanks doc,” he said. He kind of wanted the answer to be no so that he could stay hidden away in the barn for longer, but he also knew that was unhealthy and would only be putting the problem off instead of dealing with it like he knew that he should.
Just as she had with Allison, Eleanor ran up to the car while growling and barking at the individual getting out of it. Viktor called for her and then hooked his fingers underneath her collar to keep him beside her as he watched to see which one of his siblings had come to bother him this time.
He felt his heart stop for just a moment before it picked up at a much faster pace that it had been before. Five was standing beside the car, looking out over Viktor’s little farm wearing that expression that he always did when he was worried or stressed about something. It was one of the first things that Viktor had been able to recognize when it came to emotions as the pills had stunted his ability to read them in other people as well as to feel them himself. Five was wearing a blue button up that was rolled to his forearm and a pair of black slacks, which made him look about as out of place as possible given that he was standing on a farm and not somewhere in The City.
“What are you doing here?” Viktor asked. He had to be harsher in this interaction than he had been with Allison. With his sister, it was easiest to reassure her that things were her idea while edging her out of his life. With Five, Viktor knew that it was best to make him mad and think that whatever it was he had his mind set on was going to be too much work.
“Coming to find you, Viktor,” Five replied. His hands slipped into his pockets as he crossed the space between them so that they were a foot apart.
Even that was too much. It was another reason that Viktor had to get Five to go away as quickly as possible. He had been able to entertain Allison for a while, especially since he knew that she was going to find herself too busy for him as soon as he finished. Five was different though. Five was the boy that Viktor had first fallen in love with, the person that he had wanted to come and hold him every time things got hard back at the Umbrella Academy, the person that felt like the other half of Viktor’s very soul. If Five asked Viktor for something then there was very little chance that he was going to be able to say no, even if he really didn’t want to do it.
If Five asked Viktor why he had isolated himself away in the countryside then he was going to have to tell the truth and it would stick more than it did with Allison. If Five asked Viktor to come back with him then Viktor would in a heartbeat.
“You certainly made yourself difficult to find. And you pissed off our sister enough that she wouldn’t tell us where you were and I had to come and find you myself,” Five said casually. He paused and tilted his head down at Eleanor before he stuck his hand up to her much like Allison had done with Charlie.
Viktor expected to have to tug the dog back and away from his brother, but she seemed to be in a good mood. She leaned forward and sniffed at Five twice before she gave his hand a tentative little lick and then pulled away from Viktor. The man cautiously let her go, but the dog seemed uninterested in both humans and moved to go into the mud room where she could lay out of the elements.
“Did you ever consider that I didn’t want to be found?” Viktor asked, staring at the spot where the dog had just been.
“I did. I also knew that whatever the reason was, it was probably something that you needed support through. So do you want to tell me why you left me alone in a world I no longer understood?” Five replied, his voice full of hurt and ache.
That stabbed him right in the open wound that was his love for the other man. He let out a little whimper as he said, “None of us understood this world when we got dumped here. The technology is so much more advanced than we could have ever had back in the first universe.”
“You know that’s not what I meant. I could have used my best friend when it came to rediscovering how to turn my powers back on and get back into the proper body,” he said as he motioned to himself.
For just a moment, Viktor let himself get distracted by the visage of his adoptive brother. Five had grown up to be very handsome, just like Klaus had insinuated that he would be back in the sixties. His cheekbones had grown sharper, as had his jaw. The stubble across his cheeks was enough to add a play of shadows on his face without making him look weary. He was also a solid foot taller than Viktor and much more muscular than he had been back at thirteen years old.
Viktor waited for the sound of Dr. Oakley’s beat up truck to start up before he continued. They had been talking quiet enough beforehand that if she overheard then he could brush it off as her mishearing, but he didn’t want to continue to risk that.
Once they were alone enough to have a decent amount of privacy, Viktor said, “I did try to look for you. Back when we were in the garden I tried to catch up with some of you so that we could stay somewhat together but I couldn’t. You had all gone in different directions and The City is so big. I tried to find out after that too, but you’re pretty elusive when you want to be. Then I noticed that my powers were back and I still had my old apartment. So I just tried to live my life.”
“That’s not the full story,” Five shook his head. He reached out and grasped Viktor’s hand and that movement alone was enough to make the tears gathering at the edges of his eyes to drip down his face. “Viktor, please. You’re my best friend and you can trust me. You’ve always been able to trust me.”
“I shouldn’t be your best friend,” Viktor argued with a small self-deprecating laugh. He let out a little hiccuping sob and then brought his other hand up to his face so that he could cover his mouth and muffle the noises.
“What do you mean by that?” Five asked, the distress obvious in his tone. He hadn’t let go of Viktor’s hand and when the other man spoke, his grasp became tighter like he was worried that if he let go Viktor would dissolve. The smaller of the two was also a little bit worried that if he didn’t have the grounding hold of his best friend the wind would pick him up and blow him apart.
He took in a couple of deep breaths to try and calm himself down so that he could talk around his sobs. “I… I’m the one that got you stuck in that apocalypse. I’m the one that made it so you had to become a trained, paid killer just so that you could survive. You were so tired once we got to the Kugelblitz and out of the sixties. All you wanted was to be able to retire and you couldn’t because of me. The reason that you had to retire was because of me and the reason that you couldn’t was because of me too. I don’t know how you can even stand to be around me after all that I’ve done to you.”
“Viktor, Viktor,” Five whispered. He stepped forward so that they were a hair’s breadth apart and then raised his hand up so that he was cupping the other man’s cheek. “Viktor, please tell me that you haven’t been blaming all of my trauma on yourself.”
He let out a choked sob combined with a laugh. “Why wouldn’t I?”
“Viktor,” Five whispered. His voice sounded more broken and vulnerable than the smaller man had ever heard him before. It was something that opened wounds he didn’t even know existed inside of him. He had left The City and sequestered himself away so that he could save his family the pain that followed him, but it seemed like he had just caused Five more by doing so instead of less.
They were so close that Viktor almost felt like they were melting together and he wanted to do nothing to stop it. The feeling of being pressed that close to Five made everything that had been a step to the left slide back into place. It was like his body was made for this, like the small of his back had been created just to hold Five’s hand and his cheek had been made to support the gentle rubbing of Five’s finger over his cheekbone.
“I’m so sorry that I ever let you feel like this,” he murmured. He tilted his head down so that their foreheads were pressed together. Viktor felt like his heart was going to explode in his chest with how quickly it was beating. He knew that his powers had activated just a little bit as the wind picked up, sending a shushing noise through the surrounding forest.
“You didn’t make me feel like this. You never did anything wrong,” Viktor shook his head. He knew that he was going to hurt for a long time as he worked through his trauma and adjusted to being a person off medication. He didn’t want Five to think that he was the one in the wrong or that what happened was in any way his fault.
A sad expression took over Five’s ruggedly handsome features. “Beloved,” he murmured. “I was the one that left you every time you needed me. If I had stayed I could have figured out what the medication was and taken you off of it. If I had stuck around in your apartment I could have made sure that man never touched you and hurt you. If I had found you in Dallas and treated you with more compassion instead of getting jealous I could have stopped everything that happened. If I had stayed by your side when we were in the Sparrow’s timeline then I could have done something to help you. I could have stopped Allison from hurting you the way that she did. I know that it was partly her and partly me that made you feel the need to come all the way out here.”
“She was right, though,” Viktor took in a shaky breath. “All of the other siblings were fine until we reconnected each new timeline that we ended up in. I think that the problem is me.”
Five shook his head. “The problem could never be you, you’re perfect.”
A small smile graced the shorter man’s face for the first time since Five had arrived at his little hideaway. He felt warm and safe in a way that he hadn’t in a very long time. He wanted to continue to feel like this until the end of time, even if that was selfish. Five probably had a life that he’d want to return to in The City and Viktor couldn’t take that away from him, but he also couldn’t move back to civilization. “I never knew that you thought so highly of me, Five,” he teased lightly to try and drive the hopeful thoughts of the future from his mind.
“How could I not?” Five echoed Viktor’s words from earlier. “You are the one that kept me grounded the entire time in the apocalypse. Even after my brain created Dolores to give me some companionship what we talked about most was you. I love you, Viktor. More than a brother or a best friend or anything like that. I love you with my entire heart and soul, like you are the only thing that can keep me from flying off into space. That’s why I came here, to beg you to let me stay with you. To give me some place in your life even if it can’t be what I want it to be.”
That started the tears anew. They raced down Viktor’s face at an alarming rate and sobs began to shake his form so badly that he looked like the last autumn leaf still clinging to a tree branch. Viktor placed both of his hands on Five’s shoulders and then brought him down for the kiss of a lifetime.
He was exhausted from sleeping poorly, he stunk like the barn that he had spent the entire morning in, and it was beginning to rain overhead as the light shone obnoxiously in his chest. But this was the best kiss that he had ever had and he wanted it to last forever.
They did eventually have to separate as they both quickly became drenched from the now pouring rain. Viktor stood there for a moment, blinking the last of his tears down onto his already wet cheeks. “I have to put the animals away, but we’re going to finish this in a second, okay?”
Five nodded, “Okay.”
Viktor turned and left the love of his life so that he could complete his chores. He made sure that the barn was open for the horses on their side and then got Martha and her new calf into the dry part of the barn so that they could be safe from the storm. The chickens were already flocking back to their snug coup so he didn’t have to worry about them. He checked on both of his outdoor only barn cats, who had found their heated house to bed down in together. He had to tug Charlie, who was running around while trying to eat the raindrops, into the mud room before he got Eleanor in as well.
Five followed him to the mud room door and soon they were both standing in the safety of Viktor’s home, soaking wet. “Sorry for making it rain. This is why I can’t live in The City with everyone else. I don’t have very good control of my powers yet.”
“I would live in a newly created temperate rainforest if it meant that I got to kiss you more,” Five teased lightly as he reached for the other.
Viktor flushed but didn’t argue as he was pulled into the hold. They pressed their wet, shivering bodies together as they ignored the wuffling sounds coming from the dogs play fighting with each other a few feet away from them. “What are we going to do about this?” he asked, glancing down towards their bodies, pressed together intimately.
“What do you want to do about it?” Five asked, brushing his fingers over the side’s of Viktor’s face again.
“I… I can’t ask anything of you after everything that I did to you,” he shook his head.
Five leaned down and kissed him again before he said, “How many times do I have to remind you that you didn’t do any of that? I can do it forever if that’s what you wish, beloved.”
“I don’t know what you mean,” Viktor shook his head. “I’m the one that brought down the Academy and killed Pogo and Mom and…”
He was stopped with another kiss. When they pulled apart so that they could breathe, the wind and rain was pelting down at the windows so that they rattled obnoxiously. “You were drugged your entire life and then severely traumatized by that man and us locking you in the basement. Whatever you did can be forgiven because none of it exists anymore and you weren’t in control of yourself. Neither time that you started the apocalypse were you really in control of yourself. And I meant what I said before. I will tell you that until we’re both old and gray, the natural way, if that’s what you need.”
Viktor went quiet for a moment as he thought about it. He tilted his head up so that he was looking into Five’s eyes, a small smile playing at his lips, as he said “I think I just need you. But I also don’t think that it’s fair to ask you to stop doing whatever you were the past two years that we haven’t seen each other.”
“I was looking for you, mostly. I was also taking some online classes to help me adjust. So if you truly want me, then I can come here and stay with you. I can help you around the farm or just be something pretty in your living room. However you will have me,” Five beamed.
“Help me around the farm?” Viktor giggled.
“Klaus did suggest that I should move upstate and become an alpaca farmer back when we were trying to stop the Kugelblitz. Maybe if I had then we wouldn’t have reset the universe, but it’s better late than never,” the other replied.
It felt good for the both of them to laugh a little bit after the huge tidal wave of emotions that they had just had. They began to sway back and forth once the giggles had died down to breathing once more. Finally, Viktor tilted his face up and initiated a kiss between the two of them, this one slow and intimate as they adjusted to what the universe was now promising them to have in their life.
They broke apart and continued dancing to the sound of their own music. Viktor murmured, “I would love if you came and lived with me. I’ve been in love with you my entire life and the best thing that could happen to me is having you with me.”
“Then that is what you will get. If I could give you the world, I would, Viktor,” Five whispered.
Warmth and joy filled the smaller man for the first time since he had gotten to the new timeline. “The first thing that you can do is help me wash off the dogs so that they don’t stink up the house and then we’ll get dry and talk more about this, okay?”
Five chuckled. He leaned down and kissed Viktor again, soft, sweet and filled with adoration for the other half of his heart.

HA! I had totally forgotten she had brown hair at the beginning! This is so weird and funny! To be honest,I always felt that flashback story was extremely unconvincing.I mean how come he held onto Katherine's picture for 145 years and went after Elena because of the resemblance but never even bothered to acknowledge Val even once!He met Lexi a year after, met Rebecca in the 1920s,met Caroline and told her about Lexi but somehow Val never popped up! Remember that 1864 Steferine scene where Stefan said something like I HAVE NEVER MET A WOMAN QUITE LIKE YOU. I touch you and my entire body ignites.I see you and I see an angel.I kiss you and I feel like I'm falling in love with you.Granted he didn't know that Katherine was a vampire at the time but he met her some 6 months after Val and completely forgot Val and then I'm supposed to believe 150 years later when Caroline asked him specifically about Val that's when he remembered and went all nostalgic?I remember Caroline even mentioned her name to Stefan when he went to rescue her in his house and he didn't even recognise her.A part of me wanted to believe maybe it was the memory of Val sleeping with him and leaving right after that caused him to turn Caroline down like that in the pilot episode (even though I'm pretty sure it wasn't.Stefan had made up his mind he was in love with Elena at the time.So he had the blinders on.Pilot Elena was the definition of Human Garbage btw), that Caro probably reminded him of Val but the writing never made that clear so yeah nevermind.
I loved 1864 human Stefan. He was a shy, hopeful, small town teenager. For some reason I couldn't connect with 1863 Stefan.I think my only takeaway from the whole thing was how clinically depressed he was six years after his mom's death that he would take his first sexual encounter to a cemetery which is exactly why, like you said,Lily's sudden death didn't make any sense because her entire narrative became about being a battered wife who died, dated a psycho vampire, died again. She was such a wasted potential. And the whole Julian revenge plot was probably the most dragged out dumb plot ever especially since they managed to kill him with a stupid chair under a cloaking spell which Val could have used anytime after 1863 and killed him instead of gladly travelling with him for 40 years. And I never understood why anyone was supposed to be scared of him when he was drinking away his manpain and racing cars.I mean Klaus,Katherine,Silas terrorised the entire town, went after Elena's friends, the heretics took Caroline and Elena's coffin but Julian was crying for Lily just like Damon and Alaric were crying for Elena and Jo.Stefan and Damon were in the stone for months.Wasn't that the perfect opportunity to do something terrible to the people they loved?I even remember Paul had said Julian would do something that would prove to be terrible even for TVD.What was it?
Dries sidelined Baroline too.Wasn't it her who wanted to cut the Baroline scene in the Halloween episode? It was my favourite scene of them.Baroline's lack of communication after Stefan got marked didn't make sense either. If Bonnie knew Stefan would die when Rayna did,she must have told her, right especially since they were exchanging baby pictures! Why wouldn't Caroline want to know where her boyfriend went instead go angry and refuse to read his letters?I mean I get her fury but so many things didn't add up.Also how come Caroline was okay with Bonnie taking pills while dating Enzo?Caroline would be the first person to object to all these! And then Dries was doing some BS interviews and everyone was losing their heads.I don't know how she even calls herself a writer!Such a disgrace!
Fandom and their motivated reasoning! Who cares? 7×21 was probably the only episode I actually enjoyed that season and I was so happy Stefan didn't respect Caroline's choice because when someone is going to hurt themselves in front of you,you don't stand there and watch. You do something about it.I HATED 3×22 and never understood why Stefan wouldn't save Elena especially since in s2 he told Elena that if he died it would still be okay since he had already lived whereas Elena had barely begun. Her death would be tragic not heroic.Caroline was 24-25 at the time(eternally 17).She had barely lived. Why would anyone in their right mind let her kill herself? It doesn't surprise me that the TVD fandom has a twisted idea of choices, freedom, and agency, since the show itself has presented twisted or nonexistent forms of all three for its entire run.Female agency was practically non-existent on this show, but a lack of agency had always been rampant, under the disguise of false agency.
I'm just finding it hilarious that discussing about s7 after so many years can feel so cathartic!I think as a fandom we had so much expectation going from s6 and then s7 crashed and burnt just like that!
Yeah I feel similar to the whole Valerie situation in how it felt like it was just trying to replicate the Katherine storyline but it really didn't work lol. Even in that podcast I watched Melinda was saying how Paul was groaning at playing a 16 year old in a flashback so that probably didn't help. I remember there was some overdramatic letter he sent to Damon that had me dying in the phoneix stone hell scenes that was like "the days grow darker but my heart grows darker still...." I think Neil wrote that too, he was the only one who really didn't GAF about SV or what Dries wanted. Yeah Stefan didn't think twice about Caroline in S1, he had already convinced himself he was in love with Elena before he met her. I don't think he really sees Caroline as anyone outside of Elena's friends until S2 and teaching her how to vampire. Yep I think Julie saved the Baroline scene and I also remember because I will forever be mad about this they cut a scene of Caroline and Stefan talking about everything with Valerie and the baby and Julian and Dries CUT IT! And Julie tried to do damage control on Twitter but that stung. I think Paul meant Julian killing the baby I don't think he realized what had aired so far, I also don't know why he'd say that when Damon killed a pregnant woman in 1994 and he covered it up.
Yeah I don't really get why Caroline wouldn't at least read one of the letters he sent or be more concerned for Bonnie. I love Caroline and most of the time I am on her side but with that I was like, IDK BB I think you're being a little harsh. I get she was mad and she had every right to be but she didn't even give him a chance to tell his side of the story knowing he was running from a huntress. I think Julie just did what she could to fix it (and this is why I think she was just doing damage control).
I don't hate the scene in 3x22 I am just shocked they actually did it! I mean he let the woman he loves, the person he was fighting to get back to that whole season die! To save Matt fucking Donovan! And I'm sorry but I cannot buy that he did it because he knew Elena would be so depressed if another one of her friends died because of her (RME) but I mean she'd still be alive. Stefan did that because he was so driven by his performance as "the good brother who lets Elena make her own choices" that he kept it up to the point that he let her die to respect her choice. That is just so insane. You can't even say it's because he respects that choice for the people he loves because when has he ever respected Damon's choice to die, it's literally the reason he's dead! I do think that moment was when he stops doing that though (he really struggles in S4 but I need my rewatch to really remember), and he never really does it with Caroline because he doesn't pretend with her like that. I mean Caroline definitely idolizes Stefan early on but the foundation of their bond as friends meant he didn't hide as much of the bad parts from her to take on that persona. I believe Caroline is the only person Stefan actually asked for help with his bloodlust, everyone else just tells him they're going to help him. Stefan also leans more into his meaness in the later seasons, like when he tried to kill Mary Louise so he could have sex with Caroline.

Could you make a poly mikaelson smut??? Where they are jealous about another vampire flirting with reader and they get possessive.
Alright. We are going to break this off in little blurbs.
Warnings: Protective Mikaelsons, a bit smutty, Possessive Mikaelsons, Fluff
A/N: Gonna add my boy Finn as this was a little self indulgent 😌
Finn Mikaelson
It was a family ball that Klaus was throwing as a birthday party for Rebekah and Finn was watching over the ball. Finn really didn't feel like joining all this as he just wanted to curl up with their little wolf and sleep.
"You look grumpy."
"I do not Kol." Finn muttered as Kol smirked knowing it was Finn's turn to have the night with Y/N but it was kinda ruined when Klaus threw a party. Finn saw some vampire flirting with Y/N who looked uncomfortable and in a blur Finn was next to their little wolf.
"Darling, is this leech bothering you?" Finn said glaring as Y/N pressed close to Finn while vampire swallowed feeling nervous.
"A little bit but I would like to go upstairs."
"Of course." Finn said holding her with possessive hands picking her up. Y/N squealed finding herself on Finn's bed being kissed roughly as his hand was going under her dress.
"Finn.....the party." Y/N squeaked out as suddenly her dress was gone and his slightly cold skin met her warm skin.
"They won't miss us for a few moments." Finn whispered against her skin as his mouth moved along her neck. Y/N let out a breathy moan as Finn moved slowly touching her softly making her feel like her veins on fire.
"Finn......please." Y/N pleaded as Finn sucked on her her thigh closely to her heated center pulling a cry from her when he finally placed his mouth on her center. Y/N bit her fist shaking as Finn held her close tongue flattening against her clit and before she could cum Finn pulling away.
"Finn....no..fair." Y/N whined as he chuckled kissing her before easing into her slowly. Y/N whimpered clinging to Finn as he gripped her hips snapping his hips against hers.
"My beloved wolf, always so beautiful." Finn muttered burying his face in her neck as her walls fluttered around when he moved onto his forearms caging her under him. Y/N came with a soft cry as Finn groaned her name cumming after her nuzzling her neck listening to her pant gently tugging his hair and kissed the vampire softly.
Finn got up and cleaned her up then cuddled up to her pressing kisses on her neck as both muttered I love yous.
"They are going to come looking for us."
"I don't care. I just wanted to cuddle."
Elijah Mikaelson
Elijah glared hard at the vampire and wolf standing a little too close to Y/N while he understood that his little wolf was apart of Jackson's pack but that didn't mean he liked males being near her.
"The meeting is going a longer than thought Niklaus, Hayley seems to be adamant to make our little wolf miserable." Elijah said over the phone then looked to Y/N seeing a young vampire getting brave flirting with the woman.
"I need to go Niklaus." Elijah said eyes darken as he growled lowly hanging up. Elijah walked pass Hayley ignoring how she stared at at him.
"Just if you aren't busy we could hang out tonight? Show you a good time."
"No thank you. I am already in a relationship."
"Pffft, with the Mikaelsons. It isn't like I can't sleep with you too."
"Or I could tear your thoat out." Elijah said lowly picking Y/N up and way from the male. The vampire glared then realized he was looking at Elijah who was glaring at him.
"Eli?" Y/N squeaked whe in a flash you was pressed against a cabin wall with Elijah looking at her with hunger in his eyes. Y/N moaned when Elijah kissed her roughly his hand moving under her skirt fingers slipping pass lace as moved two fingers in her wet entrance.
"Wet already? You love it when I am rough, don't you? I want you to be nice and loud baby, let that baby vampire know who can satisfy you."
Y/N cried out gripping Elijah's shirt feeling his thumb rub her clit as Elijah bit at her neck leaving marks as his way to show she was taken. Elijah felt her wall tighten around his fingers when he added a third and moved his thumb more slowly against her clit. Elijah growled feeling Y/N move her hips against his fingers as he curled them.
"Look at you so needy. Such a good girl being loud, let him know who you belong to." Elijah said lowly in her ear feeling her shake against him, Y/N's face was flushed. Elijah smirked watching her cum with loud moan and bit Elijah's neck pulling a deep growl from his chest.
"Open." Elijah commanded as Y/N opened her mouth and Elijah placed his slick covered fingers in her mouth. Y/N's flush got worst as she tasted herself on his fingers, Elijah leaned in kissing her.
"Let's continue this at home."
Klaus Mikaelson
Y/N was in the kitchen on the phone with Damon as the two were close friends always playfully flirting. Klaus knew the two had no feelings for one another but couldn't help feel a bit possessive much like his siblings when ever Damon was around Y/N.
"Sounds like I should come and help you."
'No no. You don't have to. I'll just kill Kai then no more problems.' Damon tells her over the phone as Y/N smiled at Klaus seeing walk in.
"But my darling I would be happy to help."
'Seriously baby. No need we got it all under control.' Damon tells Y/N as she raised an eyebrow seeing Klaus down in front of her hands moving up her bare legs. Y/N only had on one of Klaus's shirts and laced panties and Y/N let out a squeal when Klaus lift her up having her legs over his shoulders then pulled off her panties and placed his mouth on her mound.
'You okay?'
"Y...y..yeah....saw...a spider." Y/N said gripping the counter as Klaus smirked against her making her ride his face while on the phone with Damon. Y/N let out a shuttering breath as Klaus groaned against her sending vibrations up her spine.
"D....D...Damon....call...you back." Y/N said hanging up feeling Klaus squeezing her ass as he ate her out. Y/N leaned forward on the counter shaking as she let out puffs of air babbling unable to think straight.
"Ni.....N....Nik....someone..could walk in." Y/N panted out trembling feeling him move to her clit sucking harshly making her cry out. Y/N bit her first teasr swelling in her eyes her face flushed and Klaus pulled her closer fucking her with his tongue. Y/N cummed hard shaking panting nearly sobbing as Klaus pulled away just as Y/N felt overstimulated.
"Are you okay, love?" Klaus asked picking her up kissing along her neck.
"Yeah...tired though." Y/N muttered as Klaus took her up stairs to clean her up.
"Oh love, I'm not done with you yet."
Kol Mikaelson
It happen in a blur when Kol threw a vampire that tried kissing Y/N which at first Kol was amused at the vampire's poor a tempt at flirting with the wolf but when he moved to kiss her, Kol wasn't having none of it. Y/N squeaked finding herself in the bathroom with Kol kissing her roughly and she kissed back.
"Kol?"
"Hmm?" Kol hummed moving his mouth along her neck hiking her higher grinding against her pulling a breathy moan from her.
"Are you sure, we can do it here?"
"Why not? You and Elijah had done it in semi public." Kol tells her rubbing her though her panties as she flushed remembering a month ago. Kol kissed her again this time much softer as small moans and huffs could be heard by anyone listening closely.
"Kol.....ah....fuck." Y/N babbled against the vampire's neck as Kol fucked her hard against the wall. Kol kissed her roughly as his thumb found her clit making her cry out throwing her head back.
"Letting all those vampires know who is railing you? Who you belong to." Kol whispered in her ear clearly enjoying the fact that Y/N was was a flushing mess as he fucked her. Y/N tighten her hold on him feeling her orgasm get closer and Kol could tell kissing her deeply swallowing her loud moans as she came hard pulling him with her.
"Let's get you home and cleaned up. We can watch a movie and cuddle."
"O..o..kay but carry me.....I can't feel my legs."
Rebekah Mikaelson
Y/N layed on bed with her face buried in a pillow as she was being loud and gripping the sheets while Rebekah fucked her from behind. Early that night Rebekah and Y/N was at Marcel's club enjoying a night out away from the brothers for once when a female vampire flirted with Y/N right in front of Rebekah.
So one threat and Y/N trying to calm Rebekah, both women went back to the compound that ended with Rebekah fucking her girlfriend. Y/N trembled crying out Rebekah's name when the blonde placed a vibrator on her cilt. Normally Rebekah wasn't one to get jealous nor feel possessive but something about the female vampire flirting with her wolf made Rebekah want to claim the wolf.
"Re...Re...Rebekah....please." Y/N whimpered shaking now as Rebekah moved the vibrator in time with her thrusts. Rebekah smirked seeing Y/N pulling at the sheets her face flushed with tears rolling down her face.
"Just one more beautiful. You are doing so well." Rebekah whispered kissing along the wolf's damp back. Rebekah had already pulled three orgasms from Y/N and six was going to be their personal record. Y/N pushed back against the strap on jolting when Rebekah turned the vibrator up. Y/N cummed letting out a silent scream arching as Rebekah pulled the vibrator away and pulled out.
"You did do well beautiful." Rebekah praised kissing Y/N's skin as the wolf panted trembling from the after shocks of her orgasm.
"Too rough?" Rebekah asked gently rubbing Y/N's back seeing the wolf falling asleep.
"No." Y/N mumbled as Rebekah smiled kissing her cheek then moved cleaning the wolf up and joined her in bed. Y/N nuzzled close to Rebekah muttering I love you as the vampire smiled kissing her head and both fell asleep but before doing so Y/N planned to talk to her mates about their possessive fucking as it hff and wore her out.

warning for spoilers from season 3
alright, I believe Klaus is gonna get fucked next season an here is why
when he meets his father in the void, Reginald tells him he is his greatest dissapointment and that he wanted him to live to up to his full potential.
Later, in season 3, when Klaus is able to catch that ball, he says that “now he’s ready”. Ready for what? Klaus asks, and Reginald takes him to the cemetery where he admits he made Klaus so traumatized so he could control him.
He says with all letters that Klaus was the most important child to learn how to control his powers. (season 1)
And all through seasons, Klaus is the closest to his father. Every timeline.
But then we go back to season 3 when Reginald locks him outside the tunnel. Why? after fully comprehending his powers, Klaus didn’t have a chance to use them. Why would Reginald bother training him? why would he rush to do so? Why only him?
If locking him outside was by chance, he wouldn’t have said those lines. “You’re more trouble than you’re worth”. The greates potential is more trouble than he’s worth? bite me. Why would he run off with him to train as the word crumbled??
I’ve already said in another post, but I believe the tunnel couldn’t handle more than “the shaman and the seven”. And Klaus was the only one able to get inside of oblivion by himself. Maybe it was a bet, but maybe it wasn’t. After all, when they’re getting on top of the sigil, He again uses Klaus so Allison could be out of there. I believe she was supposed to kill him and save the others.
But then we go back to the cemetery, where Klaus was able to conquer those ghosts. Really nice that scene, but terrible useless, no? What he does with Luther, calling him to fight, he had already done with Ben in season 1. What does Reginald really wants from Klaus’s powers?
At this point, I believe Klaus really is the most powerful Umbrella, and probably the smartest one as well. Luther’s leadership? Klaus leads hords of ghosts. Diego’s long distance and furtivity? Klaus can get anywhere without raising suspicion, can shoot and again, can use the dead. Allison’s rumours? Klaus has +5 in charisma and is really good at manipulating people. Five’s agility? Klaus literally can’t die, who cares about bullets? Also, he understood ans was ok with time travel in his first time. Ben’s tentacles? Ben6 could only materialize at his will and Ben2 is a coward. Viktor’s sounds? pretty much they’ve been used for blowing things up? the thing with the kugelblitz was nice but it didn’t work. (I know I’m biased, I know)
We are always looking for number ones or sevens, but if you think four is exacly in the middle and the universe is a sucker for balance. How about someone who lives as much as he dies? Who looks for death while fearing it?
Who is so strong, but don’t fight? Who’s so irritating, but charismatic? Who’s manly and girly? Easily distracted, passionately focused, joyfully uninterested, profoundly curious?
Klaus doesn’t pay much attention to everything, but what’s important at the moment, by chance, he takes seriously. Something he found before season 1 was vital for season 3′s development. He is Reginald’s perfect little mess of intuition. And intuition is a skill that he’s trained and took him places.
I can’t wait to see what in hell that alien has stored for him. Because I know he haven’t finished what he started.
You can stop reading here if you don’t want to see me going crazy lol
(also, did you guys notice that Reginald’s notebook, when taking notes about Klaus’s deaths, had other times before the first time he killed Klaus in this timeline? 22 minutes, the time Klaus took to come back to life after the first time Reggie killed him, was not his first entry. We cannot read it, but there’s a previous note in the exact format he’s using right now.
I’m so sure Reginald can travel through dimensions or something. Specially since I saw something about a elevator in the comics, both Klaus and Ben are seen together in elevators[ben on his feet while klaus is on the floor when we have dead ben and both on their feet when Klaus and Ben2 are alive] and when we see Luther coming back from the dead [void - another dimension] he comes from an elevator.)
(and as you guys already know that I love finishing my theory dump referencing another piece of media, this time I bring you Hair - The Musical.
Klaus went back in time to the 60′s two times. In the first one, he went to the vietnam war(alone) and watched his lover die. The second one(whole family), that was before that, he became a hippie in a somewhat polyamorous life. In Hair, the play, Claud(Klaus) was part of a hippie comunity(Claud family) and ended up in vietnam(alone), where he died. Claud(Klaus) had this love triangle with Berger(Ben) and Sheila(Jill). By the end of the play, Claud dies and comes back as a spirit, but no one sees him(Ben/Dave).
The most famous song of this musical is “The Age of Aquarious”, by the band the 5th dimension. It’s said that the fourth dimention is time, what we were exploring through last three seasons. The fifth dimension would be both a level of conciousness that happens after self realization (Klaus making peace with his trauma) and please remember that when Klaus re-introduces himself to Reginald he says he is the spiritual one; or the fifth dimension would be “ is that it is a dimension unseen by humans where the forces of gravity and electromagnetism unite to create a simple but graceful theory of the fundamental forces“ (definition taken in sciencing.com). Both seem fitting for me.
The song starts with “When the moon is in the seventh house”. This all could be a coincidence, But I really don’t believe in those. or maybe I do... un coup de des...)

If Elijah had to choose between saving Hayley and Klaus, with absolutely no way of him being able to sacrifice himself for the both of them, who do you think he’d save and why? Let’s pretend in this scenario the one he didn’t save would die no matter what.
No matter what he did, he would regret his decision for the rest of his life.
But his decision would all depend on when it was happening and why it was happening.
For instance, if Hayley was still pregnant, he would save her over Klaus without hesitating. Elijah shifts a lot of his focus after Hope is born from Klaus to keeping Hope safe, even at times betraying Klaus for it. This gives Hayley added protection. Even if Elijah hadn't been in love with her, he still would have protected her first because of Hope.
After she had the baby, it would depend. If the threat was something that Klaus had directly caused, he would prioritize Hayley's safety and attempt to rationalize it as 'Klaus brought it on himself.' But he would always hate himself for not saving his brother.
Now, more likely, because the show loved to torment Elijah, it would be a consequence of Elijah's own actions that came back to haunt him. This would destroy him no matter what he chose. He would have to choose between the woman he loved and wanted to plan a life with and the brother he had been closes with for a thousand years.
I honestly don't know what he would choose, but I think he would save Hayley. She was young and hardly got to live whereas Klaus had lived for a thousand years and had very little to show for it. He would also think of it in terms of Hope. While Hope would be sad to grow up without Klaus, she needed her mother. Hayley was always the one making the hard decisions and parenting Hope.
I'm more confident that this would be his decision in season 3 and later because Klaus would also support this decision. This is the growth I loved to see in Klaus. In Season 3, he began to put Hope and her needs first. They would both understand how important it was for Hope to have Hayley growing up. The Mikaelsons forgot what it was like to be human and Klaus never truly understood what it meant to be a wolf. Hayley would be able to teach Hope all of that.
Also, Klaus dying would have the added bonus of taking out a lot of his enemies, if the sire line was still in tact. This would give Hope more safety, something Elijah would prioritize.
I know I am mostly analyzing it from what Hope needs, but that's what Elijah would need to do because choosing between Hayley and Klaus would be impossible to him. He would rather die himself. So he would need to try and logic his way through it.
I could see Elijah choosing Klaus if it was something happening very quickly and he out of habit saves his brother. But again, it would devastate him. It broke him that he didn't save Hayley when he didn't even remember who she was. So if he had to actually make that decision, he would be searching for that white oak stake so fast. The only thing that would keep him alive would be if Hope needed him.
Most of my logic comes from the fact that Elijah was willing to kill Klaus in TVD for throwing their siblings into the ocean. I truly think he would have gone through with it if Klaus hadn't said their siblings were safe. I know TO/fandom makes it seem like Elijah prioritizes Klaus over everyone, and at times he does. But the fandom also loves to hate on Elijah for "betraying" Klaus and prioritizing others. Yes, Elijah is very codependent with Klaus, but he has also made a lot of decisions throughout the show that put others over Klaus. While he wanted Klaus' redemption and wanted Klaus to be able to raise Hope, he understood that his family had lived longer than they should.
It may just be my biases because I hate the idea of Hayley dying, but I think it fits his character.
Thanks for the ask! This was really hard to think through, but I enjoyed trying!

Strict(ish)
Ben Hargreevees x Strict!Fem!Reader
@lady-michiko I hope you enjoy! I wasn't too sure how to write a strict reader but I did try :)
My first request!! :) <3
• So-
• Ben has always been a little... devious.
• In short he was a teensy bit of a little shit as a child (He was more of an accomplice than the actual troublemaker though)
• Mostly because he hung out with Klaus a lot
• This carried onto your child.
• You and Ben had a little girl named Grace.
• Klaus was also present in her life
• This meant whenever you had to go out, you'd come home to Klaus, Ben and Grace doing some kind of random shit which they would not want you knowing about.
• Ben also (99% of the time) ignored your rules for Grace
• Bed time at 8pm?
• Nah that's playtime
• No more toys?
• Not happening while Ben's around
• You often had to drag Grace back to bed whenever she would get out and play with Ben.
• Benny boy tries to act innocent
• He was not.
• Kaus and Ben once got caught sneaking her cookies after bedtime
• "Ben."
• "Klaus."
• "..."
• "I didn't do anything." - Klaus
• Poor little Grace looked like a deer in headlights
• "It was Daddy's ide-"
• *Ben proceeds to cover her mouth*
• "I second that it was Benerino's idea."
• *Ben proceeds to bitchslap Klaus*
• Once you get her back to bed you make them explain themselves
• Ben just sits there looking guiltier than ever
• Klaus had no regret whatsoever
• Ben tries to respect your rules but he just can't resist your daughter.
• If she wants a cookie and begins begging he just can't help himself.
• He usually does this because he thinks if he doesn't then she might hate him :(
• Sometimes he listens to your rules though
• "Sorry sweetie, momma says its bedtime now :( "
• Grace just pouts a little then gives in
• "Fineee...."
• Your daughter definitely loves Ben's powers
• You had to restrict him from using them though
• As much as you loved and trusted him, you did not want Grace getting hurt
• Ben understood this
• Didn't stop him from telling her awesome stories about the Umbrella Academy taking down bad guys
• Makes himself sound very heroic but censors the more gruesome parts of it
• However, he only breaks rules that aren't a threat to her safety
• Any rule you have that could potentially hurt her (even minorly) he will not break
• If she suggests breaking it he will quickly step in and talk her out of it
• This is why she is always monitored when she is by Klaus
• Klaus loves her, but if they were alone together she would most likely be injured sooner or later
• Whenever she's upset Ben always talks to her and cheers her up :)
