i can’t seem to find a comprehensive list of dub languages online rn, these are the audio options i can select on my netflix account – not included in the poll but also available to me are hindi, indonesian, thai and a japanese audio description. idk tho if those are all that were produced or if there’s more options that are just not available in my region, lmk if there’s something else i missed here! also if you’ve listened to/watched multiple of these options do kindly tell which one(s) you like best!

#personally im a original language with sub truther. not just with anime but in general #rlly tho i hope this gets around bc. well the results could provide some important insights on a lot of discourse in the fandom. imo #dungeon meshi #delicious in dungeon #i uh. for what it’s worth i really don’t like the english dub i think it sounds jarring and weird #german one is pretty hit or miss i’ve watched a few scenes from different episodes and some i liked and other. not so much #most of the VAs are good but don’t really fit their respective characters #french one is pretty good! also sounds like they put more budget/professional VAs into that one. which is no surprise #given how they are about anything comic or cartoon in france #i also listened into italian and spanish i think but. i forgor #other languages that i dont speak at all are harder to judge so haven’t checked those yet #with japanese i have atleast a very basic understanding of grammar and some common vocabulary and phrases

what drawing tablet do you use/recommend?

I've been a wacom girlie ever since i started drawing!! currently i use a cintiq 16 but up until 2021 i was using an intuos! i love my cintiq and would NEVER go back but if you're looking for a cheaper alternative and don't think you need a screen the intuos is a really good option, my first one lasted me almost 6 years and it's also really portable so i still use my old one sometimes if I have to work outside my studio! the reason i use specifically the cintiq is because i think it emulates drawing on paper the most out of all the screen tablets ive tested. I'm actually sort of a traditional art supremacist in that I want my digital experience to be as similar to my traditional one as possible, and the cintiq's screen and pen are the most similar to a traditional drawing experience imo.

#the drawback to wacom is that it is. of course. very expensive. but it's worth it for the quality imo #i have the budget model cintiq which was around $800 new at best buy iirc but the more expensive ones can go up to around $1500 #but i've never had ANY issues with my wacom devices that couldn't be really easily remedied #and when my first tablet died it was because the cord literally snapped in half and they were no longer manufacturing cords for that model.#otherwise it still worked completely fine after 6 years. my current intuos still works after about 5 years of on an off use too #i don't plan to replace my cintiq for the next 5 years AT LEAST and from what i understand they generally last that long #asks

#borderlands #handsome jack #trying to find hobbie hcs for him is so hard so im tossing my own in there #jack loves space!!! he loves aliens and the endless horror of the universe and space travel and has gotten emotional about the pillars #100% used to watch those “real alien sighting caught on tape (not clickbait)” grainy videos when he was a kid and get himself scared #like yes hyperion is a Gun Manufacturer i guess but also i love his interest in R&D and his knowledge of the vaults and-#-his love of the destroyer and just how invested he was in pandora #like he is a NERD and hes a nerd about the universe #plus added on my hc of his main interest in college/hyperion being immortality through technology #learned he wouldn't be around when we heard back from aliens and immediately said “alright that's my life goal now”#he'd get his hands on a guardian corpse or have one trapped in R&D and would just spend hours watching it- studying it #so in awe of something bigger then him he gets emotional over it #i like to think that hyperion has a HUGE budget for space travel advancements and universal understanding all because of him #helps that in my au his best friend is a cyborg - his daughter is magic - and his husband is an extinct species - he is living his best life

#james talks #riverdale #miss the whole crew really but Betty especially bc Lili was so magnificent #god as perfect as the finale was (and it really was one of the greatest finales ever) i wish we had gotten another season #they had as good a run as a show on that network could hope for but there are few shows on there that eclipsed the network like Riverdale #like the list includes like. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Gossip Girl. and ig The Vampire Diaries. and that's it.#(that list is for shows almost exclusively produced by the CW. CXG DID have other producing companies but it was largely the CW).#no show will ever quite be like Riverdale ever again and no show will ever reach the heights it did.#especially not on their shoestring CW budget.#like honestly i just need more Riverdale in my life.#like RAS and the writing team found such a great way to turn their weaknesses into strengths.#as an article on the show once said [paraphrased]: it was a great show that was really good at pretending to be bad.#even now nobody gets the show like i do.#everyone thinks it's some silly little show about crazy shit with crazy plotlines and pretty lighting and aesthetics but no substance—#when in reality it's an incredible pulpy anti-fascist text questioning the role of authority using those aesthetics for a larger purpose #but i'll save the real analysis for whenever i get around to actually making the Riverdale video essay i need in my life #unless Quinton Reviews or SuperEyepatchWolf beat me to it first. they're the only people who i think will actually understand the show.#like SuperEyepatchWolf's video on the show is already pretty fun even if it's a little dismissive of the substance of the show—#(tbf to him it only covered up until the S05 mid-season finale and S06 hadn't released yet)#but like he at least feels like he gets the spirit of the show. especially with the wrestling comparison.#and i hope i don't need to explain why Quinton would get it.#anyway. i need the Riverdale crew back.

#A great episode tbh especially given the low budget. I feel like they really did their very best #And even though what I'm going to say next is probably going to be all critic - because I nitpick things and that's what I always end up–#talking about - I still want to underline that it was a very solid and enjoyable episode!!!#Alright the ss/kk was so 💞💞💞 every scene I had to rewatch twice or thrice akhscbashfb they're so cute!!!#Except for the riding scene tho. That scene gives me massive second hand embarrassment every time I just wish it will end as fast as–#possible pffttt. Mmmmhhh... The drawings weren't even too bad all accounted. My main complain is about the quicksand scene...#I feel like that one should be a slow quiet emotional scene. I never licked the choice of using the song as background soundtrack :/#I feel like it ruins the mood of the scene (it was still good though)#I also... Generally don't like the direction they seem to go for with Akutagawa's character in the anime‚ he seems quite a bit flatter–#compared to how he is in the manga. He can't be angry and evil ALL the time you need to show that softness get through from time to time.#If not what even is the point of his character. Yet in the anime he's angry (and not distraught) when he loses the mine craft and he's–#angry when he's questioning Atsushi about his motifs and he's angry when he's bragging about Atsushi's abilities to Goncharov and he's–#angry when he makes the promise with Atsushi at the end of the episode and eventually he'll be just as angry even when telling Atsushi–#to run away as he's sacrificing his life for him. It is pretty flat at the end of the day.#If I can say something about K/ensho Ono without being killed I think they do contribute to making him feel angry all the time.#But that said it's all probably poor directing choices (or simply choices I don't agree with).#Also‚ about cuts. Usually I try to be lenient about it– I understand it's hard to fit in everything and b/sd already does a very–#good job by adapting the manga almost panel-by panel. It's just that... You skip Akutagawa showing compassion for Atsushi after the–#orphanage director died. You skip Atsushi sharing the same compassion when Akutagawa loses his targed in the mines chase. You skip the–#“Nothing special about that. // I suppose he's far crueler than my own mentor.” line. And sure each of them may be negligible by their own #But together they wave a consistent web of relationship between the two characters you know? And it's a loss to omit them all #Well no mind. Again it was still a great episode overall!!!!#I think the colors in the mines could have been prettier in the mines but we can't have it all #Off to season 4!!! Omg I can't believe we got this far :DDD #random rambles #FINALLY was able to catch up in time for the season 3 finale!!!!!!

also as a society plagued by wealth inequality and rising cost of living we really need to address how we show love through money. like I offered to come over to help them decorate their new house so many times and they kept refusing me 😞 I wanted to help them paint! but noooooooo

#like I get it she's a control freak and she just wanted her husband to do the painting #but I dunno it's like. that is something i would have enjoyed doing and I'd rather do twenty different odd jobs around your new house #than scroll an amazon registry #and I get that I should just shut up and fork over the cash and just accept it gracefully ...#and to be very clear that is what I am doing. that is what I did. can i say something that might get me cancelled if i said it irl. why are we (indians but more specifically the indian governement) so obsessed with border and military disputes our country is literally twice the size of the entire continent of europe and/or the cumulative size of oceania and the americas put together population wise. as far as i know most of the people from these territories aren't really begging to be a part of india either why do we need such a massive fucking military budget over this shit "they can't stay independent pakistan or china will pounce if they don't belong to us anymore" don't you think that's THEIR choice and prerogative. they aren't asking to be a part of india. "if pakistan gets kashmir they will keep taking and taking and india will be in ruins" you sound like a conspiracy theorist. kashmir has never unanimously wanted to be a part of india. don't we have enough problems to worry about people are literally starving and homeless everywhere in our country. decentralisation isn't the worst thing that could happen to a territory right now we're too big and diverse a country is an indian identity we're forcing on them really the most important thing right now
