#i think this would be interesting and go off into games totally different than 7 and 8

You want to know what seemingly minor change I'd make to RE6 in a remake? Like, a change that maybe would mean nothing, but maaaaaaaybe would?
In the ending of Chris's story (like, I mean the very last scene), I'd make it so that you never actually see (from the waist up) or hear the BSAA soldier who walks up to him.
Maybe that'd mean nothing... or not. Let the fanbase debate what it does or does not imply ;)
#of course if it was up to me#the remakes would all be a separate timeline or something anyway#and i'd take advantage of re6's cast to go wild in a remake#let that be the major point of change#have most of the game be fairly faithful but then have a setup to pass the torch to piers helena jake and sherry for the most part#(and sheva even if she isn't in that game specifically)#i'm not even necessarily saying to kill off any of the vets in the process but like#i think this would be interesting and go off into games totally different than 7 and 8#WHICH I LIKE don't get me wrong; i legitimately enjoy 7 and particularly 8 despite my complaining in the past but#i also don't like that they are more disconnected from the previous ones in most ways aside from chris's BSAA storyline#but you could have an alternate remake timeline where both coexist#also at that point i'd stop making the games follow real-time year-wise#because i think that is just an issue that has dogged this series since 4 tbh#h.text#h.REvomit#anyway don't talk to me about certain characters unless you want me to go off on rambles like this lmao#or please do oh please god i love to talk about my faves so much ;_____;

cw. age gap, creampie.
jisung had been crushing on your since you both were kids. well, more like him being the kid, and you being a teenager. youâre 5 years older than him. if you think about it, it is kind of weird for a 12 year old to have a crush on a 17 year old.
the first time jisung laid his eyes on you, you were over at his house, on the couch of the living room, giggling with his older sister.
âis that your brother?â he heard you ask his sister. he found your voice so soft and sweet, the total opposite of his sisterâs.
âyeah! sung come here and say hi,â she waved for jisung to walk over so you could take a better look at him.
it was love at first sight for jisung. you looked so different from the girls in his class. the way your hair falls when you brush them out of your face. the perfect smile you flashed at him when you introduced yourself, the soft pat on his head when you called him cute.
jisung thought his crush on you would be over after awhile, but it didnât. he found himself wanting to be stuck around you 24/7 when you were over. when his sister held sleepovers, he always slept beside you, all cuddly on the king size bed with you slotted in between the two sibling. not that you minded, in your eyes, heâs just your best friendâs younger brother.
âsung get out! itâs supposed to be a girls night.â
you laughed, telling her itâs alright to have her younger brother in the room (again). jisungâs heart bloomed when you pulled him into your embrace, having him sat on top of your lap.
âyouâve gotta stop babying him all the time,â she rolled her eyes, glaring at jisung, âthis is the last. time. you hear me?!â
when jisung reached the age of 16, he realised that it was no longer a simple crush. during his sisterâs 21st birthday, their parents were out, which lead up to her throwing a house party. she allowed jisung to invite a couple of his friends over so he wouldnât feel alone.
on that very day, jisung and his friends stayed in his room all night. he only saw you once, when you peeked into through the door of his room to say hi.
âfuck! i lost again,â jisungâs friendâjeno, cursed as he threw the controller on the ground lightly, âthe game is fucking rigged.â
âi won jisung earlier so iâll just say that you suck at the game,â haechan, another one of jisungâs friend chuckled, taking a gulp out of the giant coke bottle on the floor.
âwhatever, iâm gonna go grab some snacks from the kitchen. yâall want anything?â jisung got up, dusting his pants.
âanythingâs fine.â
âice cream.â
as jisung turned around the end of the stairs, he was faced with your back leaning against the kitchen counter, with a guy chatting you up. jisung might be 16 but heâs not stupid. he saw the way the older guy eyed your body. jisung doesnât know if he was being possessive over you or if he was just jealous, could be both. but he couldnât do anything about it. he quickly rummaged through the fridge for ice cream. the sound of that mightâve been louder than the songs being played on the speaker, because you noticed his presence.
âji!â you called out. he pretends not to hear you, with a tub of ice cream in his hand, he went back upstairs after shutting the door of the fridge with his foot.
âwhoâs he?â the guy in front of you questioned as he watched the kid disappear up the steps.
âbirthday girlâs younger brother,â you answered.
jisungâs 18 when his body went through his second growth spurt. many girls fawn over him. he had grown much taller than before, his features are more defined now, and his muscles are super obvious too. not that you realised, youâre practically with him the entire time his body went through changes.
for some reason his sex hormones are shooting out the roof after turning 18. jisung had spent plenty of nights jerking off to dirty thoughts of you, to the point where he doesnât know if heâs capable of holding himself back anymore. heâs not even slightly interested in the girls that practically throws themselves at him.
through multiple years of having a one sided crush on his older sisterâs friend, he no longer knows what to do about it.
currently jisung is in his room, playing computer games with his friends.
âleft! on the left!â jisung flinches when he hears haechanâs loud screams through his headset.
âfucking hell.â jeno utters, spamming the keys.
all three of them groan when the screen announces their loss. before jisung could say something about their last play, his door swings open as you walk into his room, flopping down on his bed. jisung takes his headset off, leaving it on the table.
âiâm bored ji,â you lay down on your side to face him when he turns his gaming chair to face you, âyour sister went grocery shopping with her boyfriend.â
he hums, âwhy didnât you tag along?â he doesnât even care about his sister or her boyfriend, whatever it is, not when youâre on his bed with the tightest tank top and the shortest shorts heâs seen in his entire life. youâre not even wearing a bra. thats how comfortable you are with him. he bets you donât even see him as a man.
âdonât wanna be a thirdwheel,â you sigh, but it came out sounding like a soft moan. jisungâs body tenses up seeing you flip over on his bed, your ass on display for him to gawk at. no way in hell youâre this naive he thought to himself.
he can feel himself getting harder underneath his sweats. ây-y/n, i just remembered that i have something important to work on, and i kind of need my privacy.. to focus.â jisung didnât sound convincing at all, you quickly got up and sat on his lap, which causes jisung to bite on his bottom lip. it has become a normal thing for you to sit on jisungâs lap. the first time consisted of you telling him it was normal since he always sat on your lap when he was a child. you didnât take it weirdly when you were sat comfortably on his lap.
âwhatâs so important?â you turn the chair to face his pc.
jisung grunts when you shift your ass closer to his crotch. he didnât mean to stare down at your ass but, as a man, he couldnât control himself. his heart starts to beat faster and he can feel his boner sticking uncomfortably on his sweats.
âji is your phone in your pocket or something?â you ask, hands moving behind to grab his phone but you pull back when you realise that itâs something else.
âshit- sorry,â you quickly got up from his lap, excusing yourself, wondering why he had a hard on, âi think your sister might be back soon so iâll wait for her downstairs.â you try to not sound too nervous, because why in the world would you be nervous and flustered?
your hands are already turning the doorknob, but before you could step out of him room, jisung slams the door shut. his tall figure hovering behind you, your back facing him.
ânoona, i- i need you.â he admits as he grinds his cock against your ass, hands gripping your hips so tightly.
you gasp at the feeling of him rubbing his hard length on your core through your underwear. âfuck- ji.. we- we canât do this, itâs w-wrong.â
âjust once.. wanna feel you, please.â
you feel jisungâs hot breath hitting your neck, moments later heâs sucking and licking on your shoulders, nape, up to your ear.
you know you shouldnât. you know. but you canât help it. you know youâll never be able to see your best friend without feeling guilty anymore, for wanting to fuck her younger brother. the little boy that you took care of all these years, grew up to be so.. alluring.
you whimper when jisung pushes your panties to the side, âwait ji- youâre gonna regretââ
he cuts you off, âno. wanted you for so long, wanted to fuck you since forever, wanted you all to myself, but of course youâd never see me that way, not back then, not now, and probably not ever. iâll always be a little brother in your eyes. isnât that right? iâm going to fuck you now, iâm going to make sure youâll never forget it.. forget this. shitâ never forget me, gonna ruin you for all the other guys out there, youâre mine. youâre mine noona, you hear me?â
his words are so intoxicating, so dirty, you wonder where he learnt how to talk like that. your breath gets slammed out of your lungs when he plunges into you, hard.
âfuck! ji!â you slap your palm over your mouth, trying your best to contain your noises. afraid of your best friend coming back early, and hearing your back being blown out by her younger brother.
âlet me hear you noona.. let me hear how good im making you feel.â
to be honest, itâs impossible to not make a sound, not with the way heâs fucking into you. so good, so fucking good.
âpussy made for me, youâre made for me.. arenât you?â
you nod, ây-yes.. yours, only yours ji.â
âshit- taking me in so well, fucking love you.â
jisung feels the way your walls flutter around him, âclose?â
you nod again.
âcum for me.â
and you did.
so did jisung, painting your walls white.
you shiver, feeling full and warm.
â
âweâre home!!â your best friend announces when she walks through the front door with her boyfriend behind her, âyâall having that bonding time or something?â she says, noticing you and jisung by the counter.
âyeah.â you smile at her, thighs twitching as you sense jisungâs cum leaking out of your hole.
thankful that he allowed you to put on your underwear at the very least.
â
bonus
âholy shit. he really fucked her.â haechan chuckles in shock.
âdidnât know he had it in him,â jeno says, jaw dropping.
âi think iâm hard.â
âyou think?â jeno laughs light heartedly, switching his tab to incognito mode.

Guess who turned 7 years old?
SPLATOON 2!!!!! Everyone's favourite Splatoon game!!!! Right? Right guys....? We love Splatoon 2 yeah....? It's the best one right.....? Totally not gonna become the middle child of the series that gets overshadowed by the new fresh Splatoon 3 and the nostalgia of the first game right.....?
Okay, jokes aside about if Splatoon 2 is actually good or not. This was the game that actually got me into Splatoon, I knew about the series since it's announcement but I couldn't play the first game because like the rest of general public, I didn't own a wii u. Still don't but I would love to have one to mod. (And play Splatoon 1 online with fan servers...)
I think Splatoon 2 really did bring a lot of cool stuff to the table and it had a lot of quality of life features and interesting weapon, sub and special concepts.
It gave us the dualies!! THE DUALIES! I LOVE THE DUALIES!
It gave us the brellas! Which.... were kinda bad at launch and still are bad till this day....
BUT! I dont wanna talk about weapons because thats BORING! I wanna talk about one of the best things Splatoon 2 gave us...
OFF THE HOOK! PEARL AND MARINA! These girls are some of the most popular characters in the series and for good reason. They are both funny, likeable, charming, witty and have developed backstories by the time Octo Expansion comes around. Plus their chemistry is top-notch and so damn CUTE! It's almost has if they are somehow more than friends and that kind of connection is canon and people who try to deny it are fucking idiots and will never be in a relationship of their own.....
Also Splatoon 2 gave us a pretty solid hero mode at launch, sure it was basically more Splatoon 1 hero mode but hey, the first hero mode was fun so more of the same is fine by me. Plus you get Marie's classic snark too while you go through levels, she's nice company surprisingly. Way better than some old ass crusty dude...
It also gave us....
totally didn't fuck up my mental health this year and last year and caused me chest pain and discomfort until I had to dig and dig AND DIG for knowledge just to salvage it and make sure my favourite character in the fucking series was given the respect she deserves....
....hypno/octo Callie.... totally didn't fuck up this villain arc for her huh Nintendo? Totally didn't throw away the depth you built up (and was shown in concept art) only to try and hastily fix it 2 years later with an obscure relationship chart no one fucking talks about, not even the timeline explainers...
totally didn't use the wrong terminology to describe her situation and made everything so much worse because you wanted a simple black and white story for the kiddies yeah Nintendo? Despite you making stuff grey in the dlc expansion so the both story modes now clash like oil and water theme wise.
And yet you still treat her like dirt. Still using the wrong poorly localised words. If I still gotta repeat to the sky one more time that callie was under hypnosis and not forceful brainwashing I might have a stroke. You can't even fucking brainwash someone with hypnosis because the limitation of hypnosis is that the person under it must be fully comfortable with the suggestion and the suggestion cannot go agaisnt their morals and ideology. AND GUESS WHAT BRAINWASHING IS! FORCING DIFFERENT IDEOLOGIES INTO SOMEONE'S HEAD! DO YOU GET WHY I HAVE AN ISSUE NOW?!?!?! JUST USE THE WORD HYPNOTISED NINTENDO! THATS ALL YOU GOTTA DO!! ILL BE SOOO HAPPY!!!
YOU TOO INKIPEDIA! I CAUGHT YOU USING THE WORD TOO MULTIPLE TIMES! you better change it... just change brainwashed to hypnotised and I would literally kiss you on the lips or something idk... I love you inkipedia but that's all you gotta change okay? Pretty please? With a cherry on top?
ENOUGH OF THAT! I WANNA TALK ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE!!!
Do you know what else Splatoon 2 gave us?
OCTO EXPANSION BABY! I know people love to call this overrated now but I really don't care. It's not overrated, it's perfectly rated. It also gave us PLAYABLE OCTOLINGS! Which was a highly requested thing people really really wanted and they gave us what we asked for! Even though they lacked a lot of customisation options.... still do till this day... (Nintendo is it really that hard to come up with new hair? The community has been doing that for years for you man.)
And of course... the last thing I want to talk about...
This is probably my favourite Splatfest to date. It brought in a lot of actual genuine philosophical discussion on what kind of world is best, a world of chaos? Or a world of order? I chose team chaos because when the youtuber/streamer Etika was still around he chose team chaos and I chose that team because of him... rest in peace...
The shifty station too was phenomenonal as you got to hear Fly Octo Fly and Pearl would come in AND YOU GOT TO USE HER PRINCESS CANON!!!! IT WAS SO FUCKING COOL AHHHH!!!
God Pearl is so cool... i can't believe I actually used to dislike her. I wanna beat up teen me so badly for having such bad takes. Marina is hot sure, but, Pearl is just so fucking funny. Man what was wrong with 13 to 17 year old me....
Anyways, I wanted to ramble about Splatoon 2. It's pretty special to me as it was the reason I am here today, so I can't really criticise it as much as others do. Well... aside from one obvious thing but, I've done that many times.
Also, before I go... NINTENDO!!! BRING BACK SHIFTY STATIONS FOR SPLATOON 4!!! DO IT!!! STOP BEING COWARDS!!!!

actually no im gonna yap
im trying SO HARD to gaslight myself into liking veilguard but so many narrative choices just make me scratch my head. I AM NOT DONE, I currently gotta go to Weisshaupt.
I'll start with things I like so far:
1. I think the game is really pretty and I like the puzzles :) Antiva is GORGEOUS, I think one of the prettiest areas in the entire series.
2. I really like the Minrathous/Treviso choice. More of that please! some actual drama and consequence!
3. Assan is adorable and I cannot walk past without petting him. I didn't anticipate myself liking Davrin so much since I'm usually drawn to magic babies over warriors, but he's probably my favourite alongside Bellara. I think him having left his clan is very interesting narrative choice (I am totally not biased considering it's very similar to Daee's story)
4. Thank you lord almighty for the wardrobe/mirror system. Godbless.
5. Everytime Lucanis speaks I think of Puss in Boots and that brings me great joy. Whimsy even.
6. When you place Tevinter decor in the lighthouse, they have a Hookah right beside a fresco of Solas killing Mythal and that is mind bogglingly hilarious. I do love that the Shadow dragons know how to unwind. We're turning up after fighting for elf rights.
7. Solas surviving entirely on meat, raisins and honey feels very r/malelivingspace
Things I am Not Liking So Far
1.Minrathous feels utterly toothless. Its described as terrible, den of slavery, conversion therapy through blood magic, treatment of elves being terrible - yet we walk around unimpeded. I expected a similar experience as the Winter Palace, or fights that could be avoided if playing as a human.
LAVELLAN is introduced in the TEVINTER TAVERN, wearing TEVINTER CLOTHING, like it doesn't...make much sense to me? Inquisition set up the cross roads with Morrigan AND the Inquisitior, it feels like it would have made much more sense narratively not just from..."I am the fucking Inquisitor In Fucking Minrathous" but "Solas and the crossroads are a vital connecting point of these characters story."
Speaking of Inquisitor, wildly bizarre to me that neither Solas nor Varric comment on you meeting them. Solas has a weird painting of the Inquisitor chair, but you meet the mf face to face and he just does't acknowledge it. I am not a Solavellan player but I felt Really Bad For Them In That Moment.
I think a good moment of comparison is the difference in tone of DAI and DATV...When we find out the orb is elven in DAI, Solas warns us to keep it to ourselves, with Lavellan even remaking that the world will blame us for Corypheus. In DATV, we inform everyone that Elven gods are attacking, and there's no thought or conversation about the impacts of that on Elves in society. The only one to mention it is Davrin way after we've been spilling the beans left and right.
2. I'm not done the story but hey has anyone mentioned we haven't fought a single Fen'Harel agent, what's up with that... I expected to be fighting Elves based on the epilogue in Tresspasser but ?? ???
3. I'm sorry I HATE THEM DISREGARDING THE WELL OF SORROWS IN FAVOUR OF MORRIGAN WHEN SOLAS MAKES A HUGE DEAL OF YOU BEING TIED TO MYTHAL IF YOU DRANK FROM THE WELL. Oh sorry, if it was unimportant then why the fuck did you go on a monologue about how you're "her creature" and connected to her. It felt like a retcon of the importance placed on it in Inquisition and how much of a deal both Solas AND Morrigan make about it. I'm sorry picking a ROMANCE was more important than acknowledging THIS?? ? ??
"But Ravie, they can't account for Inquisitors personality and making them important would piss people off" then just kill them off. If they're set on Morrigan carrying this piece of narrative, I would have written the Inquisitor off the table before the choice becomes relevant. Have them help you in the ritual at the start of the game and die. I feel similarly about Varric, because he feels like the writers stuffed him in the closet to not talk which just...JUST KILL HIM. Its better than being relegated to furniture!!!!
3. Speaking of Morrigan why the hell is so nice. This is not my beautiful mean witch wife. In fact everyone is nice. Even hardened Lucanis has been polite to me.
4. I HAVE A BONE TO PICK WITH ROOK. I profoundly hate starting off friends with Varric (and him getting shelved like what was the point). It ruins a lot of initial RP for character establishment, because it limits how the player character FEELs about the whole thing, your motivations are GIVEN to you. Furthermore, it feels like rook HAS an established character. I don't feel like I got to play my rook, just say things slightly differently based on an already established character. I dont feel like I am roleplaying a custom character, just as Biowares stand in protagonist. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the level of interaction that BG3 provided me.
The opening sequence is bizarre to me, because IF I MAKING THE STORY....I would have had the introductory quests for each of the companions be the first quest based on the faction you select (Shadow dragons with Neve, Mournwatch with Emmerich, Crows with Lucanis etc. etc.) That way you establish your character based on the faction and immediately get a little tutorial on what kind of character you're going to be playing. I would even keep the introductory quests the same with minor dialogue tweaks. The ritual would come after the tutorial prologue mission and then you start with Harding and the companion you got introduced with, since the order you get them...really doesn't matter or impact anything.
5. I think the Venatori and Antaam following Elven Mage Gods is kinda dumb. Sorry. I thought they both looked down on them for being either Elves or Mages/didn't even acknowledge them. What the hell is their goal anyway
My criticisms comes down to...I don't know what themes the game is trying to tackle? The game SAYS things but doesn't actually do anything with these topics. Minrathous HAS a slavery problem but we don't see it. Treviso is ruled by a faction of assassins but it's like a good thing! Elven gods are responsible for everything wrong in the world, but the narrative implications of what that means for modern elves are acknowledged in passing like acknowledging the weather. The game feels hesitant to actually unpack any of these things despite being the one to put them on the table.
Anyway I am going to finish the game and probably play on Daee with a Solavellan Inquisitor to see if that improves my experience by picking a character who is more tailored to the Rook they portray/not having an emotional connection to the Inky, but atm...Man I Had Hopes. Made me feel stupid for getting so hyped up for a conclusion to a story arc for a character THEY SPECIFICALLY LEFT ON A CLIFFHANGER FOR A DECADE. I'll just draw art, lie face down in the ground and imagine a more narratively satisfying conclusion to my Inquisitors story.

To My Sweetheart Who Carries A Wounded Heart ~ Info.
Blade & Reader's Relationship
Series Masterlist, Chapter 1 đ€, Chapter 2 đ€, Chapter 3 đ€, Chapter 4đ€, Chapter 5đ€, Chapter 6đ€, Chapter 7đ€
Being childhood best friends, they knew everything about each other and been there for all of the other's milestones.
Reader describes Blade as his soulmate and is the only person throughout the whole series who calls him "Ren."
They met in kindergarten or preschool (I forgot what I wrote for that) and the reader kept on bothering him until he acknowledged her and proved to care for her, and since then has been inseparable.
It goes deeper into detail in Chapter 2:
AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/52453421/chapters/132797800
Tumblr: https://www.tumblr.com/samptlay/737693316678828032/to-my-sweetheart-who-carries-a-wounded-heart-ch
Before meeting Levi, (the reader's current husband) reader would call Blade at least 4 times a week and they would go out together 2-to 3 times a week. Lots of people thought of them as a couple, but both the reader and Blade would shut down the idea.
If the two of them were honest, the attraction and romantic tension were there. There was one night that the two had made out under the influence back in high school as seniors, but the two of them both agreed to just not speak of it. (Blade thinks about it every few months.)
However, none of them had ever made a move. And this is because of the phase he went through during high school. During the beginning of their sophomore year, Blade had started to hang out with guys who thought they knew better than everyone else. Guys who thought girls were just objects made for their satisfaction. Though it didn't change the way Blade acted around the reader, he was arrogant and an overall bastard to everyone else.
A bastard with a handsome face that had ladies all over him. He started to smoke and drink (not enough for him to be an alcoholic or anything, this is what also led to the make-out sesh with the reader one night) He had dozens of girlfriends throughout those years and cheated on them all. Even when he found someone he was actually interested in, he couldn't help but give in to the temptation of other females. So in summary, he was a total player who couldn't commit himself to someone for anything.
This behavior sadly faded into his early years of adulthood. He had different girls running in and out of his apartment every few weeks.
*Switching to 2nd POV, sorry.
You always scolded him about it, worried he would catch something or end up knocking a girl up though he always insisted he played it safe. He admired you even more during those times, because you never seemed to judge him for it. However, you were off limits, out of reach.
This also happened to be around the time you and Levi got married. Blade knew he couldn't commit himself to you, so he didn't have anything to say when someone else swept you off your feet. That doesn't mean he didn't feel anything at all. He took at all the frustration of not being there for you on other women, and got into a bad drinking habit.
Not exactly an alcoholic, but still. You let Blade know you would avoid being alone with him for a long while until you completely have your partners trust to come see him alone. Though Blade understood, it still made his heart ache.
It wasn't until he lost his job in a very risky project he wasn't even supposed to be working on in his company, that he sobered up. (Something like in the game.) During this period, he only had enough savings to last him 4-5 months but it would run out quickly. You had tried to offer him help but Levi wouldn't let you, saying you were being "too nice" and on your way to "giving Blade the wrong idea.".
When I eventually got to one month of unemployment, he was at the gym trying to gather his thoughts while in his own little bubble until a man named "Elio" approached him. Apparently Blade had been watched for about a year according to him and had no idea. Elio said that he knew Blade was running out of cash and offered him a job with a salary that would have people bending backs for. The requirements of the job were tight and required his whole life to fall into Elio's hands, but Blade was desperate and broke.
He didn't have time to entertain women or get wasted. The work was definitely sketchy, and he knew all the things he weren't all legal. He's been under-cover, stolen, fought, involved in fraud and more. All of this seemed to wake him up to true adult life and look back at his past self in absolutely disgust. Of course, you were stoked and over the moon about his new found maturity and even seemed to be around more, just because you felt a lot more comfortable & secure. with this Blade.
Yet, you had no idea what caused the change and always pressed him about it, a little concerned about his choice of field since you swore that Golden Watch he had on was more than both you & his savings combined. Each & every time, he gently shut you down and avoided the topic, deciding that this would be the one wall you'd never be able to break with him. After two years, you let it go and to be honest it caused a small strain in between the two of you since you though he didn't trust you anymore, which wasn't true. He was just silenced.
But you two were still each other's favorite person. Even if you were married, Blade was your soulmate. You've texted him at least 3 times a week throughout your whole life and make sure he never feels forgotten, vice-verse.
But as of the last three years, you seemed to be getting worn down more and more, day-by-day. Each month, the amount of times you'd call him crying because of arguing with your husband increase and he swears that he would have kidnapped you himself up and out of that place long ago if you'd let him.
End of 2nd POV.
In conclusion, Blade & Reader are strictly platonic even though there is little romantic tension, it's more of a click when it comes to the two. They never judge each other for anything and if one party calls, the others is zooming over there in an instant, no matter who there partners are.
Note this, Blade has always wished him and Reader had gone out in their early highschoolers years. Then perhaps his whole life would be turned around, as well as having a ring on his own finger.
And if you weren't married as of now, he would have proposed the moment he left his past self behind. But that's not the case. So for now, he'll admire you from where he currently is.
But Reader knows he loves her. And Blade knows reader loves him too.

Cat hybrid! Haerin đââŹ
As I previously said, I was thinking a lot between Cat hybrid! Haerin and Hamster hybrid! Haerin, so I finally made both versions! đŸ ps: Cat hybrid! Haerin is an alternative version of Hamster hybrid! Haerin, so there may be differences in between both versions.
tags: cat hybrid!Haerin x gn!reader??, fluff, hybrid AU.
Cat hybrid!Haerin has black cat energy, she basically doesn't like anyone but you and the rest of Hybrid! New Jeans (although she teases Danielle a lot, calling her 'stinky puppy').
+ like all cats, she has limits and doesn't let anyone pet her, hissing with a frown. But when you're close? She is 1000% clingy!! She's basically all over you, flopping down on top of you and totally eager to receive affection and attention from her favorite people.
Cat hybrid!Haerin is totally a grumpy lap cat 24/7.
Cat hybrid!Haerin although has this 'tsundere' or grumpy aura, she is secretly and adorably cocky because she knows that you and the rest of Hybrid! New Jeans are interested in her and only her <3
Cat hybrid!Haerin is a living heater and purrs a lot! has the habit of climbing on the couch and placing her head in your lap, purring very loudly. adorably loudly.
Cat hybrid!Haerin, inside Hybrid! New Jeans is probably the most jealous, since since she only likes this certain group of people (which includes you), so she tends to get very protective and possessive. So watch out, this kitten is capable of taking out her claws to defend what it's hers!
Cat hybrid!Haerin climbs very high places, usually perches on shelves and observes everything from below. It gave you more than one scare because you couldn't find her anywhere, until you heard a 'meow' over your head, and found her poking her head out from where she was hiding!
Cat hybrid!Haerin SCRATCHES ALMOST EVERYTHING. but a cat scratcher? Nah. your sofa? Totally yes.
Cat hybrid!Haerin probably has teasing as love language đâ⏠You will easily notice when she is sad or affected by something, because she does not use the snarky nicknames she has for each of you.
Cat hybrid!Haerin throws things off the table, or off any surface within reach àž
â ^â âąâ ï»â âąâ ^â àž
#TypicalCatBehaviour.
"Haerin, not my coffee mug!" You squealed, seeing that your hybrid cat, early in the morning, had climbed onto the desk and was idly throwing your pencils, post-its, and everything her paws could reach, onto the floor. Meanwhile, you tried to return everything to its original place.
"Bleh, I'm not going to do anything to your stupid moffee cug" Haerin clicked, tossing another pencil off the desk, her ears perked up. It was an eternal loop of throwing stuff and collecting them, throwing and collecting.
"Coffee mug, Haerin. Coffee mug". Â
Haerin clicked her tongue again, rolling her eyes.
"You are excessively dramatic."
"And you are excessively disastrous."
"Ugh, remind me why I let you adopt me," Haerin snorted, getting down to the end of the desk, to stalk you while walking in circles, like a predator its prey.
"You made those big, pleading eyes that you make when you want something, and I had no choice but to take you with me." Your voice was gentle, unfazed, though your expression was the antithesis of it. Your smile was teasing, denoting that this was nothing more than a joke, and that your tone of voice was only to make Haerin fall into your game. Because yes, after all, adopting Haerin had been your decision, and there was nothing in the world that you regretted.
Haerin snorted in response, although far from being bothered, she rubbed her head against your back, which felt soft and plush from the hoodie you were wearing.
If it had been someone else who was there with her, and not you, Haerin's typically tsundere personality would have led her to bite and scratch to the point of exhaustion. However, instead, she just wrapped her arms around your waist, grunting, until she sniffed your scent, inhaling it carefully and deeply. That relaxed her.
"You're an Idiot." She hissed.
"Yeah, I love you too, Haerin."

20 questions for writers
thank you for the tag @fanfictiongreenirises I finally managed to finish a tag game!!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
168- with 44 podfics and the rest are regular fics!
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
346,848. unfathomable number who is she where did she come from
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Batman (Batfam) my love my life, but 9-1-1 is a close second with one-offs for a lot of my other passing interests.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Floppy Bird - crack fic that was meant to be an angst fic that I never understood why people liked so much asfhjs
cocoa on a cold night - a classic timby holiday fic that I wrote in the middle of summer, talk about environmental storytelling
secrets un(revealed) - the only purposeful long fic I've ever written, and also the most trope mashing I've ever done with reverse robins, magical realism au, and delicious delicious miscommunications (in my head the only fic that deserves to be in the top five :wheeze: )
Eggshells - vent fic alert !! very embarrassing that people like this I try not to think about it ":)
taking the blade (for you and yours) - a round robin fic written with the server and CHOCK full of Damian suffering.
5. Do you respond to comments?
NO PICTURES. NO COMMENT. I DONT KNOW HOW TO READ.
no jk jk I really really try to but once I start getting behind it's just a whole spiral. these days I have a better chance of replying to a comment on an old fic than a brand new one because I dont want leave them half replied
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
any of my death fics probably? I think with DC a death is a little more inconsequential than other fandoms just because of how often it's unpermanent, so as a concrete answer, I'll say for you (i would cross the line). nothing quite like parental grief.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
happy ending wink-wonk or XD
probably Who The Hell Is Red Hood? - I've done things there with growth and healing that DC HQ would shudder to imagine
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not regularly, thank everything, but the one controversial three-some I posted needed comment regulation lmao
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yes and uh, the kinky kind? idk take a look for yourselves I guess
10. Do you write crossovers?
Yes, and they're ALWAYS unserious- Buck from 9-1-1 dating Emma from Friends (yes Ross and Rachel's kid) anyone?
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Uh, not by a person? as far as I know? but I have found my fic on those like, document websites??? which is weird lmao just read them on your phones guys not everything needs to be uploaded
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
nope!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
weee yes! round robin my beloved, and also every fic @canonicallyshort and I have written in our threads. those count. to me. emotionally.
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
I WILL GO DOWN WITH MY MULTISHIP (which really means I'm never going down at all) but really I dont think I will ever get over Merthur... or Buddie... or- you see what I mean?
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?
oh god I have so many wip that I am holding out hope for but my biggest WIP is an unpublished hellhole affectionately entitled "Death Pit" by everyone who is working on it- most notably because it features a literal Death Pit, every horror, angst, whump, and trauma trope you can think of, and a cast of characters and a plot thread so long we have 20+ page outline documents that aren't even fully updated... I shudder to think what will become of it one day, I imagine sentience isn't very far off
16. What are your writing strengths?
why is this an interview question. I dont know my strengths really?? um. I have good ideas, that one I'll say. execution is a different story (likely one that will never get told. like the rest of my good ideas)
I also think I do fairly well with scene descriptors. I really like to set a scene because I'm seeing a movie in my head and you all should too!
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I'm down to clown globally! I dont like to use google translate though, so if im writing in another language it's only because SOMEONE on the server is a native speaker and can vouch for my text.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
oh god one direction. head in hands. it was an 'adopted by 1d' fic that I made my mom beta, and turned it in to my 6th grade English teacher as my creative writing assignment. then I made a poem about it. then I wrote a song about it. thankfully it never got published and is trapped in the cursed purple file folder it was 'hidden' in since 7th grade. my first published fic was almost 7 years later with a Gomens fic!
20. Favourite fic you've written?
AHh um. favorite child scene here, but top contenders include: lithium + 5 for its graphic design and medical accuracy, fiery veins on speechless days for its emotional whump that makes me hurt every time I reread it, [PODFIC] wither on the shore which is not a fic I wrote but one of my favorite podfics of @silk-scarlet-ribbons 's works.
tagging (if you wish to participate!) @canonicallyshort @silverandsunflowers @selkienight60 @crows-murder
#thanks for tagging me iris!#gen win ly felt like I was doing an interview lmao quite fun#tag game#fanfic#911 show#batman#batfam#buddie#dick grayson#evan buckley#eddie diaz#ao3 fanfic#krowabbey

LARP Sizes
When you talk about the "size" of a theater LARP, you might mean a lot of different things -- how long it lasts, how long the game materials are, how much physical space you need to run it, etc. (These things heavily correlate with one another, which helps to confuse the issue.) But the most important version of "size," of course, is player count. A LARP is nothing more or less than a bunch of characters doing stuff, and the experience is shaped heavily the number of characters who are contributing to it.
(It's like party size for a TTRPG, only more so, because you don't have an omnipresent GM who can keep everything in hand for everyone.)
If you're thinking of writing a theater LARP, I would strongly encourage you to think about your game structurally when you're deciding how big it's going to be. Don't just decide that you want to write a large game because you're feeling ambitious, or that you want to write a small game because you're feeling nervous; don't just include every character concept that you have in your head. Choose a size that works well with the kind of experience you want to generate, and with the mechanics you have in mind.
Every additional character changes things, of course, but (in my opinion) these are the size ranges that really matter:
0-1 PCs: This is not a LARP, in the conventional sense. This is a joke or an art project.
2-3 PCs: The PCs cannot escape each other at all. The game will necessarily consist of a single extended conversation, and you should think of it in those terms. It's the writer's job to make sure that conversation is interesting and sustainable.
[The general rule is that character sheets and other documents tend to get longer as the game gets bigger, because there's more material that has to be incorporated...but games with 2-3 players often have really long sheets, just for the sake of making sure that everyone has enough to talk about, and that every PC has some very substantive thoughts about every other PC.]
4-7 PCs: At this size, the game will likely default to being a single round-table conversation, and fundamentally everyone is going to have to deal with everyone else -- but the PCs will be able to split off for private chats (without leaving anyone twiddling his thumbs). Plotting and politics begin to become possible, although you shouldn't expect that anyone will really be able to hide anything from anyone else. This is an excellent size for games that are basically about emotional tangles.
8-15 PCs: By my standards, a "medium-sized" LARP. There's enough going on that you can thread multiple plots into your narrative, although you should expect that everyone will likely be interacting with everyone else, at least to some extent. It is totally plausible that a PC will be able to maintain a more-or-less complete understanding of the total game situation, although you can't count on anyone in particular doing so. Complexity and factional conflict are viable here. This is the sweet spot for intricate integrated mechanical structures where you want every PC to be interfacing with the same system. It is not an accident that two of the most successful game-structure templates that have come out of my LARPing tradition -- the Dance and the Dawn template and the Be Not Afraid template -- require exactly 13 PCs.
16-30 PCs: In a LARP of this size, a PC can probably have more-than-zero clue about every other character in the game, and about all the overarchingly important plots...but no one is going to be able to keep up with everything that's going on, not even remotely. Chaos and fog-of-war start dominating the play experience here. Games this big usually require multiple interconnected narratives, and there are usually whole plots that just don't have much to do with each other. It becomes important for the writer to ensure that any given PC has enough different things going on that his game won't get randomly destroyed by the tides of happenstance.
31+ PCs: Any given PC will be totally clueless about whole swathes of the game; certain characters, and certain plots, will completely fail to intersect at all. Either the LARP is secretly a bunch of loosely-connected game modules, or it needs to be robust enough to survive all manner of butterfly-effect-generated madness as unusual outcomes and choices ripple outwards. (I don't actually have any experience writing LARPs at this scale. My biggest game is for 30 PCs, and it was definitely straining against the kind of structural cohesion that I tried to impose on it.)

Dragon Age Veilguard first six hours of gameplay from someone who hasn't waited a decade for the game and who absolutely loved every part of Origins yes even the fade yes even the deep roads yes even the brecilian forest yes even the circle yes even denerim yes
Well first off be ready for the game to have a SHIT optimization. I had to restart my guy a grand total of six times until I was able to progress past the first rage demon crossing the screen three minutes after the introduction cinematics. My recommendation is get rid of the shader cache on your PC settings, delete the shader cache folder in the game files, lower the resolution settings, uncheck the hair strand animation that looks like ass anyways, and maybe restart your computer for good measure after that. Doing all this by trial and error went from the game loading 96% of the shaders in 45 minutes then crashing to starting in 3 seconds and not crashing (that is. Until the cinematic with Morrigan four-five good hours later which prompted me to go to bed. I suspect my PC of overheating and the shader cache to still be too large)
Now that your game is up and running well. Well that character creator is fucking amazing innit. It's a really good mix between all previous BioWare character creator iterations and it allows to make guys with very interesting facial features and good control over pretty much everything without being too huge and overwhelming, and still retaining some of the physiology of the different people from the previous games (contrary to what some steam comments would have you believe about the qunari âwho had one (1) face model in DA2, cmon)
As for the fights, they've completely changed from the previous games, bye bye real time strategy and welcome final fantasy 7 type combat with perfect timing dodge and parry, and sometimes asking your companions to do some special actions (not ATB gauge tho, but you DO have a cool finish). And to my great pleasure, hello difficulty calibration ! This bangs. I'm gonna make the enemies even a bit more dangerous than I already did because I'm still not really challenged during the fights so far :)
Speaking of calibration I am extremely impressed by the accessibility tools, there's the now usual screenshake toggle, but also a screenshake slider, a size and opacity slider for subtitles, adapted colors for colorblind people you want it you name it !
Keyboard and gamepad binding are fully customizable, which is nice because you have quite a lot of tools during the fights and it takes a while to find a comfortable way to play. Luckily, the introduction is long enough that you don't feel unsatisfied by the fights you use as calibration I'd say.
In terms of the game itself the fights are quite fun ! I do miss the strategic aspect of DAO but I can also always replay DAO if I want that lol. There's still puzzles which I love, making you explore the environment a bit more, and the environment seems dense at first but is pretty easy to read thanks to a solid artistic direction. I love you artistic direction I am kissing you on the mouth. Yup this game looks a bit "cartoony" in its art they've chosen to go away from hyper realism and boy am I glad. In my opinion, the game looks a lot like Origins if it had better, more recent lighting tech and cleaner textures. I really like it ! It's still quite dark, at least in those first few hours it's been quite fucking dark lmao I don't know who out there thinks it's just silly goofy but may I remind you a recurring theme of Origins, the game where there's a dozen of you fighting a war against a living plague that eats the world while the royalty has sent assassin's after you, is that the country smells of wetdog ? Dragon Age has a lot of silly moments. It's true that Veilguard so far suffers a bit from the Cool Quip disease but I'm still very much at the beginning and I trust that I'll see the relationship develop between characters. Overall my biggest fear is that with only three choices carrying over from Inquisition (who you were in a couple with, did you disband, what'd you tell Solas at the very end), the game might make me face a world state I had no part of and that will frustrate me from the "everything carries over across a twenty year history" game franchise. Already felt weird getting a letter from Isabela due to the background I've chosen and not reading a word about Hawke. I wanna hear about Dagna and the Warden commander and how the royal family is doing in Denerim and whether Sebastian fucked off forever in the end and how are Leli's nugs doing >:( and I want to see Sandal again >:(
Overall fun time so far will come back to you all with more and with screenshots and shit over the week !

Thanks @lenorelovesmax for tagging me đ€
1. How many works do you have on AO3? 2, currently. Well, more like one and a half baked scene that has no context, to be more accurate.
2. What's your total AO3 word count? 194.036 words.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? I have like the one fic, the other thing has 2 kudos. So... - A Walk in Chiaroscuro (354)
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Yes, absolutely. It's pretty rare when I don't. I like to tell people that I appreciate their support and comments or to answer questions they might have about the story or the choice I made.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I don't do angsty endings. I'm too old and too jaded by life to appreciate them anymore. I'm at a point in my life where I need to know there's hope and happiness at the end of the line.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I'm guessing there will be some kind of repetition since I've only published Awic... Soooo, it's a Walk in Chiaroscuro! ...but if you want to know about the ones that I keep in my drawer never to see the light of AO3, the happiest ending goes to Let's Write a Love Story (it's a Homestuck fanfic)
8. Do you get hate on fics? No. I'm writing in a mostly dead fandom so far and for kind of a rare pair so, people have been starved of content. They were so nice and sweet to me in the comments.
9. Do you write smut? I wish! I don't have the chops for it but I so wish I could write good smut! Honestly it's something I really want to push myself into exploring. Unfortunately your girl is a bit too vanilla in her taste which makes for poor reading. I don't fear being bad... I fear being boring, you know?
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've ever written? I've never done that, no. But who knows what future will lead me to write.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? No. I don't have enough reach to be the target of theft.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Nope. And tbh I don't have the patience to translate it myself in my native language.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Could have... but no. There was an attempt at a joined project for Dragon Age but, unfortunately, it didn't work out in the end. I'm not abandoning the idea of writing for Dragon Age but I'll probably go in a very different direction since it would be a solo project.
14. What's your all time favorite ship? I... don't have one... Yeah, I'm not much of a shipper at the core. I mean I did write for Caulscott but I practically ship Max with everybody in LIS so... I was more interested by Nathan's potential as a love interest more than the ship itself. Outside of LIS... I can't think of any ship rn, I'm afraid.
15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? Tough question. If I abandoned a project I don't consider it a WIP. It's a dropped thing that goes in the reusable idea bin... and if I'm still working on it, I don't go into thinking I won't finish it. So, it's hard to say really. To not leave you with such a vague answer, I'll give you this: the fic I planned to write about the Hidden Object Games series Dark Parable, that never took off and never will (for I have better/much more attractive projects to work on). It's a dropped thing. But now you can see I have weird and obscure taste.
As for original projects: I have a Horror RPG project that probably won't ever see the light of day, called: The Clockmaker. (because I realized I'm shit at pixel art, tragic)
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? Hum... No. I don't mind people doing it but I tried it myself in my pirate epic and, let me tell you, I'm not that good a multilingual as to be witty in more than 2 languages. I found what I wrote cringe af when I read back my text in the editing phase and scrapped it all out.
19. First fandom you wrote for? Homestuck. I started writing fics very late in my life. (I wrote original stuff before that)
20. Favourite fic you've ever written? A Walk in Chiaroscuro. Because it's the only fic I went into unafraid to write what I wanted without thinking about who might read it. And to this day it's the truer work I've put out. Not the most personal by any stretch but the one I indulged in the most. And I'm so proud of it. Flaws and all.
I tag @sourrind and @momochizoey if you feel like doing it. And everybody who'd want to as well, consider yourself tagged, friend!

20 Questions for fic writers
I was tagged by @almarnatiaam- thanks!
1. How many works do you have on A03?
36
2. What's your total A03 word count?
133,211
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Mostly Ace Attorney these days.
I've also written for Les Mis and Good Omens; Les Mis makes up most of my works at 20 (though 4 of those aren't really fics, they're fanart pieces I posted to ao3 for sewerexchange).
And there's a couple random fics that aren't any of these: The Temptation Of Immediate Relief is a Pride & Prejudice missing scene fic that I wrote for high school english class and posted a polished version after graduation, and All Alone is a short War & Peace fic expanding the character of Anatole's wife who's entirely just a plot device with no character in canon (elephant in the room: the name I chose for her was retroactively made weird by my later fandom journeys by being cognate to the name of a completely different character, but like, whatever). I still think both of these are pretty good
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Wilson & Sons (Good Omens outsider POV fic about Aziraphale's barber, a family business that he's been going to since the 1700s), at 1861 kudos
You're Better Off Without Him (Good Omens outsider POV about the guy in episode 4 who says that line), at 763 kudos
perfectly statue-still (Ace Attorney 3+1 fic about elevators being a trigger for Miles, angst with a happy ending), at 433 kudos
driving back in style (in my saloon will do quite nicely) (Good Omens fic, silly cute little A/C getting together scenario), at 303 kudos
naughty list (Ace Attorney fic; angst with a happy ending; the premise is that Gregory didn't get to tell Miles that Santa wasn't real so when the von karma household didn't do santa Miles thought he was on the naughty list for a solid 4 years. If you haven't read it, ho ho ho 'tis the season to read it now), at 241 kudos
Yeah, my good omens stuff is never being unseated from the top of my leaderboard unless I end up getting into an even bigger fandom at some point in the future
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I try to, because comments absolutely give me life and I need a constant stream of them, but unfortunately I don't get around to it often enough
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Absolute angstiest out of my published works is probably my very first ao3 fic, not quite nowhere to turn. Valjean sees Javert die and is too late to do anything. The fic is very flawed in that I was 15 and had not learned how to do subtlety, I can't look at it now, but I was a hyperlexic kid with A's in English so I think it's still better than what most people were writing as teens
Second answer is merry christmas., my most recent fic (if you haven't read it yet, HO HO HO TIS THE SEASON), it's Miles' POV for the first bit of Turnabout Goodbyes, it ends on a note of hopelessness that he's doomed to be convicted, but it only debatably counts since anyone who's played the games knows that the turnabout is coming
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Most of my stuff has pretty happy endings, that's just my sensiility as a writer-- even "not quite nowhere to turn" has an afterlife reunion scene-- so I'm not sure what to say here.
There's some fics where the conflict was trivial in the first place (comedy and crack stuff), there's some fics where I feel in hindsight that the ending was a copout and that a rockier path to happiness would have been more interesting if I had mustered the strength to write it (When Tomorrow Comes is the primary example tbh), and there's some where it feels earned (the fics in this category include the ones I like the most)
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I've thankfully never gotten hate on AO3 that I can recall
9. Do you write smut?
Yes I do, but none of it is up on my ao3 account at this time. I have a ton in my google docs though...
10. Do you write crossovers?
I've written a couple. Both of them, funnily enough, of the format "javert meets one of my other blorbos and they recognise what they have in common"
In "and if you fall" (honestly the point of the title would have landed better if I did the full lyric "and if you fall (as lucifer fell)" but at the time that felt too corny), Crowley happens to be in the right place at the right time to talk Javert down from jumping (context: within GO book canon Crowley was asleep for the 19th century except for getting up in 1832 for a loo break)
In "The Choice Of Death" Miles Edgeworth meets Javert's ghost (AA ghost lore notwithstanding) one liminal night during his year away
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of.
On a tangent though, bc there's no question directly relevant to share this info, I HAVE gotten fanart for a fic before: this amazing fanart by @maym0rin for chapter 2 of "perfectly statue-still" (she gave me permission to crosspost it on tumblr bc she didn't have tumblr at the time but she later got tumblr when the twitter ship started sinking). There is nothing more flattering as an author than getting fanart, I hope this first time isn't the last time
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not yet!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes, I helped with @almarnatiaam's fic A King's Heart and got a co-writer credit.
And outside of cowriting on the level of be listed as cowriter on ao3, my friend who doesn't have tumblr (it's tsl for all the mtnr server friends reading this) and I have been collaborating and bouncing ideas on each other's fics for... wow, it's been over a year now!
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
Honestly it would have to be Valvert because it got to me at a formative time and has shaped the kinds of ships I like for life
15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
What do you mean "the" wip????
I have two dead fics and counting (one for les mis, one for good omens), and that's just the ones where I posted the initial content before realising it's too intimidating to finish. There's so many more in my docs; my friends know about some of them
16. What are your writing strengths?
Here are some that I have no problem bragging about, I reread my own fics often and smile at the moments where I did a banger line
Character voice (especially when the characters are my blorbos)
Using fancy vocabulary with precision in the prose to achieve effect (a skill born from trying to copy the vibes of victor hugo)
Witty prose humour (a skill born from trying to copy the vibes of pratchett & gaiman)
Prose from the POV of someone in a fucked up state- someone in a dark place emotionally, or someone whose motivations are fundamentally misguided or outright malicious. This is THE most fun shit to write for me
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Committing to long term character pain and tragic character conflict when it's not pulled/extrapolated directly from canon. I have many times read a fic where the author puts blorbo through the ringer and thought "damn if only I wasn't such a fucking coward and could write stuff like this". I've become less of a coward over the years and now enjoy
Writing anything long without a detailed plan for the entire thing
The need to use words with precision and write perfectly in character is as much a weakness as a strength. I am not a "write a whole first draft then edit" person I am a "dot points for the bits I don't have perfect words for" person and this sometimes causes issues where I assume I'll figure out how to get from A to B later but then it turns out to not make sense to get from A to B
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I have 4 years of Duolingo French and have used this occasionally for my Les Mis works. The way I think of my Les Mis works is that the characters are all speaking French behind the fourth wall but the fourth wall translates for us, so I avoid puns that only work in English except on a couple super cracky occasions.
For Inspector Javert Chooses Death (a fic with the premise "AU where instead of dying Javert fakes his death like Edgeworth and goes to england and unrepresses his homosexuality") I was originally planning to write the whole letter near the end of the fic in french and put the translation in footnote but my beta reader got confused so I scrapped that and had the prose paraphrase most of the letter and only included one French sentence
19. First fandom you wrote for?
First fandom I published fic on ao3 for was Les Mis. First fandom I published fic anywhere online for was Animorphs (when I was 12 I published a weird dark comedy fic to FFN which was a 5+1 or similar format of Visser Three executing people for slighting him by morphing into huge creatures and eating them. Then people on animorphsforum.com told me the fic was bad so I lost all confidence and didn't write fic again for years)
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
Right now it's between my two most recent AA solo fics: merry christmas. (already explained; 1-4 fic) and the perfect weapon (Manfred POV throughout his revenge plot, SUPER fun to write all that villain pov, grew from the premise "he had to have known about the nightmare to plan all that")
My best Les Mis fic is but i have seen the same (i know the shame in your defeat); it explores my favourite parallel with a cool alternating scene format and I actually still like the writing and characterisation even all these years later which is a rare honour for one of my high school Les Mis fics

july 4, 2021 7:30 p.m. adam's house
[wyatt] i'm gonna ask again...
[grant] alright, well, let me put it this way. what i didnât like was very, very specific to me. it was a me thing and you are totally different than me. we are different people and the time period wonât even remotely be the same for us, so things will have changed. so, the experience i had isnât going to be the one you would have. itâs not worth talking about because it just doesnât matter.
[wyatt] boo, thatâs not an answer.
[grant] okay, yeah, i hated it. still, i would absolutely, like, with every fiber in my being and all of my heart encourage you to go play college hockey if youâre interested. and yes, at the school i went to, if youâre interested in that school in the future. itâs so far off from now that you shouldnât worry about it but you know what your dreams are and you should follow them. donât ever listen to anyone else. do what you want. you know yourself best.
[grant] the only thing i'd sayâand this goes for literally everything in lifeâis that if you do something and think itâs going to be amazing and you find out itâs not, trust yourself enough to leave and change paths. donât stay with something if youâre not having a good, healthy, or safe time.
[grant] now i'm really going to get off my soapbox. i'm not here to lecture you. boring! gross! i'm supposed to be the fun uncle.
[wyatt] safe? did you get arrested or something? my friend at school has a big brother in college and he's in jail for selling cocaine.
[ezra] HAHAHAHA!
[grant] uhhâ
[grant] i donât know what to say but, uhh, i have never been arrested.
[wyatt] so, you didn't get arrested like papa?
[grant] you know about uncle paddy going to jail?
[ezra] he has his mugshots in his car!
[grant] oh, i forgot about that.
[wyatt] wait, why did you call himâ
[grant] uncle paddy?
[wyatt] heâs your dad.
[grant] oh, no, buddy, i'm about to destroy your whole worldviewâŠ
[ezra] hey, the dragon is here! geez, the head chopping thing took soooooo long.
[grant] yay, alduin time! RIP to the others, though.
[grant] but, um, buddy, heâs not my dad. and your dad isnât my brother.
[wyatt] liar!
[grant] i didnât know you didnât know!
[wyatt] howâs he not your dad? you wear glasses like him! and you laugh like him!
[ezra] wait, what?
[grant] i guess youâre confused because he calls me his son? and, well, your dad and his siblings and i call each other by, like, sibling-y terminology.
[grant] my mom is your grandfather and aunt bridgetâs older sister.
[ezra] no! great-grandma aoife and great-grandpa joseph donât have anotherâ
[grant] no, no, they do.
[ezra] you're lying! liar liar pants on fire!
[grant] i am telling the honest truth! and i'm sorry to surprise! i really thought you knew.
[ezra] well, uh, you can still be uncle grant because youâre cool. you fly planes and do cool stuff like that, and youâre nice and funny and good at video games.
[grant] aww, i still make the cut? i'm still good enough to be an uncle?
[wyatt] of course! but if you become less funner than uncle alex, then youâre gonna get fired from the uncle job.
[grant] at least i know the terms of the contract!
[grant] but damn, you donât like alex?
[wyatt] heâs kind of annoying. and he and lilly have a crusty white dog. i'm scared of crusty white dogs. they look evil. theyâre gonna eat my limbs in my sleep.
[grant] thatâs very oddly specific.
[ezra] i'm scared of sporks.
[grant] sporks?
[ezra] and i donât like ladders.
[grant] okay, but sporks?
[ezra] itâs a fork but uglier and stupider.
[grant] you know what? valid. youâre not wrong.
[wyatt] i hate clowns, too!
[grant] also valid.
[wyatt] you arenât scared of anything?
[grant] lithium-ion battery fires.
[wyatt] what?
[ezra] thatâs a lot of big words.
[grant] yeah, lithium-ion battery fires, especially on a plane, and people being mean to me. germs, too. canât forget germs.
[wyatt] if i sneeze into an open hand, would it make you cry?
[grant] yeah, a little bit.
[grant] donât make me summon the crusty white dogs.
[ezra] summon! summon! summon!

My thoughts on episode 7
SPOILERS for season 3, episode 7 of the Animaniacs reboot
The emotions of the past two days took my mind off of the isolated hell of my own creation, but now I'm starting to get antsy again. I'm also starting to feel the dread setting in that Animaniacs is about to end for me. I only have two new episodes that I haven't seen, and that's probably it forever. I have rarely in my life had a week with such deeply mixed emotions.
This episode was good. We finally got a third Warner song, and it only took 7 episodes. I still can't wrap my head around how it took so long, but at least the song was good.
I just thought they looked cute here at the very beginning, dying in the heat.
I liked Wakko comforting his sister.
I liked how BOTH little sibs got it wrong instead of Wakko being portrayed as the dumb one.
This very brief shot was also cute to me, the Warners staying entertained on the trip by playing a little game together.
I like how often I've seen their tails and fur get fluffed up in shock/fear this season. Makes them feel more alive. And it's cute, of course.
Now we get into the song. I like how, despite how cynical they usually are, the Warners seem to genuinely care about this issue and got a little shocked at the depth of Josh Polar's callousness towards it.
Gotta at least mention Yakko's dancing here.
While it did get me a little to see the genuine concern of Wakko's siblings here, it would hit much harder if I didn't know they were resuscitating him just to immediately celebrate his supposed death in the next episode. What happened, writers?
The song really kicked into another gear at the end, which is what took it from good to great in my mind.
Nice to see the sibs pulling out their Bugs Bunny antics. I would call him their mentor, but most people don't realize that the Warners are canonically older than Bugs Bunny, so technically they set the example for him, in-universe.
I didn't really need the warning to know this was preachy, but I didn't mind it.
Wakko saw his brother pull out a whole turkey, but his mind instead saw the energy efficient lightbulb to be a tastier snack. What a cute little enigma.
The exchange about leftovers was genuinely great and totally in-character.
And it's nice to see Yakko accepting Wakko's ignorance instead of beating him over the head with it like earlier in the reboot.
Forget the impending and currently ongoing environmental catastrophes, forget the anarchic oncoming societal change, forget the impending doom of humanity, we need to pass green legislation to SAVE THE WARNERS!!!
LOOK AT HOW THEY HOLD ONTO HIM! Dot sitting on his leg... babies.
This segment was good and the song was pretty great. Definitely slots in as my second favorite song of the season so far, after Do It Yourself.
Lawn in 60 Seconds reminded me of The Flame from the original series. Anthropomorphizing a small background object you'd never think to anthropomorphize.
I already feel bad when I mow the lawn, and this segment didn't help. The grass and bugs who live there never asked to be savagely cut down by the lawn mower's blade, just for the purpose of humanity holding onto their perfectly manicured lawns!
All's Fair in Love and Door was interesting.
I liked that Pinky genuinely tried to listen to Brain and not go in the door, but he confused himself into doing it anyway.
I thought the alternate reality concept was kind of creepy until I learned it wasn't the real Julia he had trapped in there. It's still pretty creepy, though, considering this Julia proved herself to be just as sentient as the real one... Can't Brain just leave it alone? Now you've messed up two different versions of the same person you created in the first place to serve your selfish emotional needs.
I liked that Julia found out the truth on her own instead of Pinky spilling the beans.
It was pretty cute how Brain tried to silently protect Pinky in the trashcan.
Gay.
At this point, though, I'm not sure they're going to go all the way with it. This would have been the perfect segment to do it in.
I'm not sure if this will ever amount to anything.
It was an interesting segment that posed some deep moral questions on the nature of love and marriage. I think it could have been better if it went farther with things.
Cute Things That Can Kill You was a decent PSA, I guess. I'm pretty sure everyone was aware that pufferfish are deadly. That's like the whole reason they're a famous animal.
The episode was pretty good. I would have liked it better if I didn't know what was coming next. Even though I've already seen it, it still fills me with a sense of dread just to see the thumbnail next on the docket. I'll probably post the official review of it tonight to get it over with, and then move onto episode 9 tomorrow and finish it up with episode 10 on Saturday. Then I'll be free and depressed simultaneously, just as you're supposed to be on social media.
This episode isn't as hard to rate as the other ones I've seen recently. It wasn't as good as my two favorites this season. It's about on par with episode 4, which is currently in third place. It's a hard call between them. I liked the Warner antics in episode 4, but this episode had a killer song and a more intriguing PATB segment. I probably have to give this one the nod.
My current ranking of season 3 episodes:
Episode 6
Episode 3
Episode 7
Episode 4
Episode 2
Episode 1
Episode 5
The list is splitting itself into clear parts. The top 2 are my absolute favorites, some of the best Animaniacs I've seen. The top 4 are all the episodes I'd consider legitimately good. The bottom 3 aren't bad, but had parts that made me go "meh." You might think it'll be an easy call on where to put episode 8, but I'm not sure. Most of that episode was actually good. It's just a few small parts that soured the entire episode, season, and show for me. Remove those parts and it'd definitely be up along with the top 4 in the "genuinely good" category. It's just that those parts also happened to have an indescribably huge negative emotional impact on me in general... I'll tackle that dilemma when I get there.
Feel free to add to the discussion of this episode if you want, but don't say anything about the episodes that come after. Thanks.

I know it's supposed to be dubious which ending of ShTH is canon (but I think we all know its the true good one, it's the only one where Shadow fully remembers everything and unless the Black Aliens return later then they are all dead), but alot have extremely good ideas and concepts for future storyline.
My favourite are 'ARK protecter' and 'Ultimate Hedgehog' endings. What would happen to the storyline if Shadow stayed on the ARK? How would that effect the story of 06? Or even Forces since Shadow wouldn't have been around to fight Infinite the first time around?
And Shadow getting all 7 Chaos Emeralds just to prove he's stronger than Sonic, what's the game plan? He doesn't say anything about planning to save the world or even planning to taking it over so was his plans just to beat up Sonic and prove he could?
afaik the canon ending of shth is the 11th one you have to unlock, the other 10 are more speculative "what if" cases that exist for character exploration purposes. i don't think the canonity of that is very dubious since only one of the total 11 ends has you fight a unique boss and lets you go super while at it, though i guess you could make arguments for the pure hero endings if you wanted to. the rest are imo much too final in where they leave shadow, with semi-hero/cosmic fall endings implying that he either remains on the ark alone or kills himself, pure dark/GUN fortress endings either pinning shadow as the universe's ultimate overlord or have him destroy the earth, and so on. some are more difficult to continue from than others, but in most of the cases the picture shadow has of himself is incomplete and thus not a productive point to leave off the game that is about shadow and him finding out who he is. in a way you can only get the complete version of shadow by playing reaching every one of these endings - which then culminates as you get access to the 11th ending where shadow can finally find peace. it's hard for me to say much on this yet because i still have 5 more endings to reach, but i wouldn't be surprised if any one of the 10 routes could serve as a basis for the true end (though i somewhat doubt it's presented as such, sounds like making an already ambitious and complicated game even more complex)
that said i agree that the different endings pose interesting possibilities for AUs and the like, and im kind of surprised that more people haven't jumped into the meat of this game and picked a path to continue from, especially with the cosmic fall endings that i know would absolutely feed into some folks' thirst for angst. even as thought experiments in isolation from the later games i find the concepts they present delightful to consider and elaborate on
#speaking of i may have began writing something out of the cosmic fall endings#which was going well until i had to start writing dialogue and ate a whole pizza and got sleepy

TheLreads, Vigilantes ch 97, Replies Part 2
1) âOH JESUS SOMEONE TRIED TO SHOT KOICHI WHAT THE FUCK THE HEROES ARE PACKING GUNSâ- It actually seems to be the same technique that Edgeshot used to âsubdueâ Kurogiri.
Which means the heroes werenât trying to shoot him. They were just gonna stab him and mess around with his insides to make him fall unconscious in mid-air. Totally different thing that would certainly not have a potently lethal outcome. 2) âI THINK I ALREADY KNOW WHOâS HERE TO CATCH HIM, AND I HOPE I AM WRONGâ- Donât you just hate it when youâre right sometimes? 3) âI did recognize Edge shot, but are you fucking kidding me that the hero formerly known as best jeanist also was deployed to catch Koichi
Two top ranking heroes
And they are gonna failâ- âŠ.well, we can at least take some solace in the fact that Koichi still had to flee from them anyway. Can you imagine the embarrassment if heâs been capable of defeating them in a fight to get away?....look, itâs not much, but at this point, weâve gotta drink the bitter medicine and bear with it. 4) âYeah, I wonder what made him think that. Was it all the other times so far heroes did some ungodly stupid decisions and he was tasked with wiping their bumsâ- Iâll at least give Best Jeanist credit for accepting that Koichi does have a legitimate complaint against Pro hero efficiency rather than dismissing the claim out of hand, even if he then proceeds to contribute to that same point by letting him get away in an uncharacteristic slip-up. 5) âOh sneaky, Deadnist. Catching him while youâre monologing. I do want to see how heâs gonna escape you two, I bet it will take all of ten seconds.â- 9 actually, counting the time he spent zipping to the edge of the building. 6) âHereâs the thing, Jeanistâs quirk is really strong, but it was gambling on the fact that Koichi would be close enough for him to be able to activate, which just makes it even more stupid the fact they actually called him all this way
Edge shot I can sort of see why, heâs mobile, but even so heâs not a speedster, the chance of him actually getting in range of striking koichi was pretty low.â- Actually, the combo of everyone working together isnât quite that badly thought-out. The exact range of Jeanistâs quirk isnât really established, but it seems to be effective on any fibres or clothing he can get a good look at, meaning him being up on the rooftops with a clear vantage point on Koichi â which is where heâd be forced to go if Tenseiâs team failed to catch him on the ground level â is the best possible place for him to use his Quirk to restrain Koichi. When Koichi dives off the edge of the building, Jeanist loses sight of him for a second, which, along with Edgeshot grabbing him by the parka, contributes to the clothes loosening enough to squirm free. Edgeshot meanwhile is quite a fast hero, able to move at the speed of sound over a short distance if he winds himself down into a piercing thread like that, but he canât do long-distance bursts of speed using this move. Therefore, him acting as support to force Koichi into a location where Jeanist can hold him down actually works well with their various abilities. Unfortunately, their underestimation of Koichiâs resolve, and sheer blind luck (with tons of furuhashi writing) means that they let Koichi get away by not seriously trying to capture him like they would a normal villain. In a way, the goodwill Koichi has with the heroes means that theyâre not seriously trying too hard to capture him, unless they have to, mostly trying to talk him down first. 7) âYOU CANâT ESCAPE KOICHI, YOU NEED TO BE HERE FOR WHEN THEYâLL DEPLOY ALL MIGHT TO GET YOUâ- You joke but, at the rate things are going, Koichi might actually get into the worldâs most intense game of âTagâ with the big man himself, assuming he can get away from Aizawa. 8) âEDGE SHOT LITERALLY ALLOWED HIM TO ESCAPE BY DOING THAT
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME RIGHT NOWâ- I do find it somewhat interesting that Jeanistâs Quirk canât seem to target all of oneâs clothing at once, but rather specific pieces of it. He seemed to target Koichiâs Parka rather that the clothes on his skin because it was the most visible piece of clothing he wore, but it didnât also constrain him through the Crawler outfit heâs wearing at the same time. 9) âyeah guys, Iâm pretty sure the ninja and the jeans model will be able to catch a fucking speedster that evaded even Tensei. You go there.â- All Jeanist needs is another line of sight on Koichi and this time he can target his hero outfit directly to capture him for certain. With Edgeshotâs mobility and bursts of speed to force Koichi into view, it is actually possible for them to capture him if they figure out where he is first. 10) âOh my god is it already nighttime, did Koichi really managed to evade them throughout the whole day
jesus Christâ- Either that, or time flies when Furuhashi wants to have a dramatic night-time showdown. 11) âOH GOD NO I WAS ONLY JOKING PLEASE DONâT TELL ME THEY ACTUALLY DEPLOYED ALL MIGHT TO CATCH HIMâ- Nope, they employed the second-best hero in the industry insteadâŠ.and I donât mean Endeavour, for obvious reasons.
(Vigilantes ch 95) 12) âIT IS
AND THAT MEANS AIZAWA IS BACK
OH MY GOD, IS THE KNUCKLES SITUATION ALL OVER AGAIN, BUT AIZAWA DIDNâT WENT TO CHINA FOR THISâ- Aizawa is indeed back!...as an antagonist this time.
(Vigilantes ch 95) 13) âoh? is Aizawa actually gonna refuse to solve Koichiâs problem and is instead just making sure everything is going fine?Â
âŠ
Yeah, I donât believe you on that one Furuhashi, you shattered my trust on you not once, not twice, not thrice, not- you got the point okay let us keep goingâ- Well, heâs gonna try to solve Koichiâs problemâŠ.just by taking him out of the equation so it can be solved by the ârightâ people. 14) âI donât- I canât-
âŠ
*sigh* â- (Pats shoulder in understanding) Hey, at least this showdown itâll be more believable for Koichi to hold his own, with the combo of his physical training and mobility against Aizawaâs relatively human skillset. @thelreads

I am going to make a post where I talk about three things that I am particularly nostalgic that no one else but me is probably going to care about but me. Here I go.
Tech Deck: This one goes way back for me. I actually only remember have one of these but I really play with so much. Like, I remember when I was in middle school that myself and a friend would play with our Tech Decks in the first period classroom before class would start since we were waiting for class to start. I remember using a lot of classroom stuff like staplers and pencils and what not as makeshift skate park stuff and it was very fun for young me. Honestly, I thought that Tech Deck went away a long time ago but then I see that it's still a thing so of course I wanted to get one of these newer ones because I used to have one years ago. The odd thing is that I remember then, individual Tech Deck's like the one I got in the pic used to come with a multi-tool thing and some extra wheels, along with a sticker sheet. But, these newer ones is just the skateboard and sticker sheet and that's it. I used to have another of these newer ones but some pieces got loose and feel off and I couldn't tighten them because these individual packs don't come with the tool. For $3, you get a lot less than you used to.
Beyblade: Now, I remember having several of these when I was younger. Of course, they look and function differently then compared to how they do now, especially the one I got in the picture there. The one thing for me with the new one is that the instructions absolutely suck...but that is Hasbro instructions for you. It took me three YouTube videos to figure out how to assemble the thing and even once I got it, I noticed that the metal ring part is very loose and seems to be that way in both the Core and Apex configurations. I don't know if that is how modern Beyblades are but that seems strange to me. I get that these are supposed to break apart when you battle them but still. I had no issues getting it into the Apex configuration thankfully. It's also a bit loose putting the Beyblade on the launcher thing. Like you have to put them on and then rotate it to lock it on and then you can let it rip...yes, I know that was cheesy. But, it spins as it is supposed to so, it does do the thing it's supposed to do. But, I don't see $10 here myself. Maybe $5-7 but, definitely not $10.
Bakugan: Alright, so this is one that I never actually had when I was younger. I know people that did and I would occasionally watch the anime when I could catch episode on TV. Yes, I did want the toys but, I never got any as by younger brain wanted other things. But, recently I found myself playing Bakugan: Battle Brawlers on my Nintendo DS emulator and I found myself having fun, despite never having played these games before. Again, Bakugan is something that I thought died off years ago but, there was in the toy aisle at my local Walmart and there's the Bakugan, right next to the Beyblade. Out of the things here that I went to see how these hold up nowadays, Bakugan is definitely the one I had the most fun with. Putting the two halves together was super easy. The very simple act of rolling or tossing the Bakugan on to the Gate Card, it magnetizing and transforming into Dragonoid is just so much fun. Yes, it's so simple to do and yet is so fun do to, more fun than the Beyblade in my opinion. I paid like $5 for this and I think it's totally worth it and I honestly may get another Bakugan as there was another one that was interesting that I may get.
