practised!!!!! not a super intense practice session, but i played through everything i've been working on (took about 40 minutes) and it's definitely getting smoother every time i play it. it was stupidly hot today, though, to the point that sweat was literally dripping off me, so i guess i'm employing the whole "blood sweat and tears" thing here haha

*rubs hands* sooo, I had a vague idea to choose one of Mozart's six string quartets dedicated to Haydn for you because to me, Haydn to Mozart's time is kind of like the role you play in seblr/f1blr as a rock-steady pillar. (Haydn and Mozart were great friends and colleagues and played string quartets together! Haydn played the violin and Mozart preferred to take up viola.)

I chose the third movement of String Quartet No. 14 in G Major (which is nicknamed "Spring") because I love how, even with a graceful melody throughout by the first violin, you get a really complex range of emotions and features every instrument. But primarily, it is the way the cello is featured throughout so prominently as a level-headed and noble heartbeat that made me choose this for you.

And so, I chose the Hagen Quartett's version precisely because of the way the cello sounds so visible compared to other recordings. I don't know if it is because of the sound mixing or the instrument or the recording space etc etc, but truly, the cello is such a powerful presence in this recording and I adore that.

Get ready cuz this is a LONG post. I also mostly stuck to the 2024 grid cuz I couldn't be bothered with much more

also please note that I wrote this whilst exhausted and avoiding practicing so if it has any spelling/grammar mistakes, you didn't see anything

1. Max Verstappen: percussion

ok so max is to me a percussionist through and through but also seems like the type of percussionist who learnt how to play the violin as a kid and hated it, so became a drummer instead. definitely plays the marimba like his life depends on it. also becuase I have a thing for them so ye 🥰 (I do however love a good fanfic where he's like a super competitive violin/piano player even if I can't really see him play them)

2. Charles Leclerc: piano

so he obviously already plays piano which suits him sm so I'm going to keep that because he has the correct vibes and everything for piano, but more on the late classical onwards stuff than the earlier music (I NEED to hear him play Debussy like omfg please)

3. Carlos Sainz: conductor

ok here me out but I can't see him playing in an orchestra BUT he would definitely conduct, and could probably play a string instrument/piano quite well but like it wouldn't be his passion if you get what I mean (I also feel like he'd be quite strict as a conductor but get super good performances out of the orchestra)

4. Daniel Riccardo: trombone (+bass trombone)

ok he's the reason I'm making this list because OMFG THIS MAN IS A BRASS PLAYER like defo lower brass too but I can't really see tuba player from him so trombone. he's also the kind of brass player to be stupidly good at percussion too so ye that too. also get this man in a big band. please.

5. Lando Norris: violin

ok so lando is always giving main character energy and like there's not much more main character than a violin, and also I can very much see him being a more romantic/lyrical player (he just has them vibes idk). HOWEVER broski has a MASSIVE hand span so he has to play piano cuz he can deffo reach them 10ths let's be real

6. Oscar Piastri: oboe (+french horn)

ok HEAR ME OUT!!!! tell me you can't see this guy play an oboe. I think he has the right sized face for it idk that sounds strange but I can see it please believe me 😭😭. Also french horn cuz it's my fave instrument except my own and I think he'd serve playing it idk

7. Lewis Hamilton: cello

I'm biased. he has the vibes. (not really but idc). also probably sings (he already does but shh). Definitely not a baroque player and probably plays more Dvorak era stuff (the things I'd do to see him play Brahms E minor) but this is all because I am spectacularly biased and want to see my fave drivers play my instrument. also producer vibes but that's unrelated.

8. George Russell: flute

ok so personally most male flute players I know are complete dickheads BUT I think George is the exception like he just seems quite flutey (also he kinda gives classical era piano player but that may be me being silly) but bro definitely doesn't like syncopated rhythms like let's be real if it's off the beat my guy would be completely lost. he does seem like the type to be able to read ledger lines tho

9. Yuki Tsunoda: percussion

I think he's another percussionist tbh but more cymbals and timps than tuned percussion. I don't have much more to say about Yuki because he's just cymbals in my head lmao

10. Pierre Gasly: euphonium

right. he gives wind because he's french BUT he probably is euf cuz like I can very much picture him playing it and also I can very much see him giggling at the back of a brass band or some shit with Yuki (yukierre nation what's good) so I've put him as a euf cuz why not

11. Esteban Ocon: clarinet

another biased opinion but I can see it like he just is a clarient I think. I think it's probs just the fact he's tall but like the stereotype of people looking like their instruments is real so he (he does give cellist a bit too but that may also just be because he's tall)

12. Fernando Alonso: trumpet

right this was a very tough one BUT he holds all the chaos and menace of a trumpet player (especially when he was younger), and I think it suits him quite well. he does give lower brass a bit but I think he has more trumpet vibes than lower brass so ye

13. Lance Stroll: clarinet

ok rich boi obviously would have been taught the violin and I think he'd be pretty good at it tbh BUT he gives clarient vibes so fucking hard like especially bass clarinet, cuz he's different like that

14. Nico Hulkeberg and Kevin Magnussen: trumpet

right. these two are together for a reason. these two are the two trumpet players in an orchestra who sit there yapping for half the rehearsal, play the 4 bars they have in a piece and then are done for the day. don't say you can't see it. you can.

15. Alex Albon: guitar

this one is quite specific but he gives like classical and jazz guitar vibes in a very specific way. also woodwind. idk he contains multitudes and I think we should celebrate that. maybe flute? I can see that. (I'm losing the plot here wtf even is an instrument)

16. Logan Sargent: viola

PLEASE DONT COME FOR ME I SAY THIS IN A GOOD WAY!!! he really has strings vibes to me but definitely is not violinist at all, therefore I think he'd be a good viola player. I'm sorry we all need one somewhere 😭. HOWEVER as he is American I will say get this man on the cheer squad and like idk have him throw people in the air while the marching band does it's thing I can see him doing that

17. Sergio Perez: french horn

sorry he's so far down I had actually no clue what instrument he has the vibes for at all. BUT I made up my mind, and I think he gives french horn vibes. don't ask me why I don't know it just is there

18. Valterri Bottas: tuba

HE TUBAS MORE THAN ANYONE HAS EVER TUBAD BEFORE also probs plays percussion on the side but in the sense that they didn't have enough one day so he volunteered to play for fun. I almost put him as a double bass but he really doesn't have strings vibes at all so I moved him to tuba

19. Zhou Guanyu: piano

this is going to sound weird af but don't take it that way but holy shit this guy's fingers are LONG like I think he could probs do a 9th or 10th easily (I'm so jealous) and I feel like he has piano vibes. also a bit stringy but also not idk I feel like he'd own a harp but not play it often so ye

20. Franco Colapinto: violin (?)

idk him that well and he has very similar vibes to lando (this may be due to the edits I have CONSUMED over the last few months) so ye I think he could be violin, maybe like leader of the 2nds kinda thing for the fun of it

21. Liam Lawson: guitar and drum kit

ok. this is a copout cuz he already does and posts things of him playing but like he just is guitar like that is what he is in my mind. also he gives the vibe of that one guitarist who decided to learn drums but hasn't got the coordination quite right yet so isn't great at keeping time but thinks he's great anyways (I love him really)

Merch Analysis Cuz I’m ill Like That

So I went to the TADC merch site because I wanted to get my grubby little hands on a Ragatha plush and I noticed something pretty interesting about the character pins

I think each pin gives us a little taste of what each character’s room looks like, or at least more insight on their personality.

Let’s start with the easiest one (and currently the least interesting) : Kinger

He’s panicking in his little pillow fort. Weird that everyone else’s shows their actual room but his identity is specifically tied to the pillow fort. Perhaps that’s really where he feels safest.

Next we have Gangle

Really big and nice looking bed with some classy theater lanterns. Honestly looks like a high end hotel room. Can’t really say much beyond that it’s a lot darker than the (two) other rooms we’re given.

Then we have Zooble

And their famous Zooble Box. Really sells the identity crisis to have a whole ass mirror in front of their box. The decor is very abstract like them. The room also looks taller? Like is it just me or does the ceiling look high to anyone else?

Then Ragatha

Another Raggedy Ann reference with the piano probably. We know that Ragatha can play the cello but now I’m wondering if she can also play the piano. That’d be sweet. Big ole toy box that doubles as a bench (God I hope that’s not her bed, let’s just pretend it’s storage for some stuffed animals/dolls she’s made) She’s also got books, knitting equipment, a picture frame, and a random gloink(?) for some reason. Overall, her room looks very reminiscent of the inside of a doll house. Fitting.

To me tho, the most interesting is Jax’s

Like Kinger, we don’t see the inside of his room either. But this background is…eerie. So something that I’ve noticed in both the pilot and the new episode is that Jax is very…destructive. Like he’s not just an asshole, his behavior is specifically centered around making a mess of things, just because he can. Here we see a his name sign that was most likely broken by him. Not only that but the corners/edges of his background are all ripped up to show the Void behind him (Jax has also broken the fourth wall twice now and I’m wondering if that ties into this detail in anyway). And we have the bowling ball he retrieved from Kaufmo’s room.

Personal Theory Incoming:

I think Jax is the reason Kaufmo abstracted in the end. Like yes, Kaufmo’s obsession with the fake Exit was the core reason but, I keep thinking about how the bowling ball was found right in front of Kaufmo’s door way. Not off to the side, right in front, like in a place where someone could easily trip over it if they weren’t looking. What if Kaufmo, already agitated and sick of the Circus’ shit, was pushed over the edge after literally falling for one of Jax’s latest pranks.

I may be WAY off, but I just feel like the addition of the bowling ball is a weird detail.

Finally had the want to redraw my characters from Blood of the Halfbreed (my very first story from this universe and the reason I started creating original works to begin with) and really got around do putting them all together, as they’re supposed to be a team, so I’d think they should look good together. This is their civilian forms (as I haven’t made their “magical girl” uniforms quite yet), and from left to right we have Malakei Wenreidr (mahl-ah-keye vehn-reye-der), Jazchuhan “Jazch” Falin (yahsh-oo-hahn fah-leen), Kari Erikzün (kah-ree ehr-eek-zuhn), and Zera Wenreidr (zeh-rah).

These 4 all go to the same college, and are part of the same band “Blood of the Halfbreed”, started by Malakei, Jazch, and Zera, as the vocals, guitar, and drums respectively. Kari later joined the group after Zera tried to befriend and convince her to join, becoming the 4th and final member, playing the cello.

Malakei is what I would call a “Christian hippie”, or more correctly, an “Inani hippie”, as those moth earrings and necklace have the same meaning as the cross does in our world. He’s an Orcish-Hume halfbreed, meaning his bio-dad was an Orc, and his mother is a Hume. He’s a goofy guy, how tries his best to make everyone smile, and while he may seem like he would be a slacker when it came to school, he’s actually extremely studious. He want’s to become a broadway composer, and is going to school for music theory.

Jazch is a Gnomish-Elf halfbreed, with his father being a Gnome and his mother an Elf. This man **hates** how feminine his body and face is, so he turned into a bit of a gym rat when he started going to college, and his temper is about as short as he is. He, Malakei, and technically Zera have been friends since they were little, and really only went to college because they wanted to. That’s okay, though, since that means he can specifically study cooking. While he never had any interest in going to school for it, ha had always wanted to own his own restaurant. Good thing he has the same personality of s certain Scottish chief, eh?

Kari is an alchemist, through and through. To the point that before meeting the gang, she was the type of person to say that “feeling were just chemicals in your brain, nothing more”. Unlike Mal, Jazch, and Zera, Kari is a pretty stanch atheist, that felt like life would improve if they had just gotten rid of the idea of gods and religion all together. Not quite a reddit atheist, but on the very cusp, and it wasn’t until she met the gang, and how happy they were, that she started to question that certain theory of hers. And especially started questioning when she started to fall for Malakei. She’s a hard worker, with a bit of a stutter, and is willing to stand for what she believes in, but is also willing to be proven wrong. Especially when it comes to the ways of the heart.

Zera is the popular girl of the group, and Jazch’s girlfriend. It’s not the first thing I would tell you about her, but it’s the first thing she’d want to be said, as she loves that man more than anything in the would. To the point, that if he’s in the room, she’ll go straight for him and tackle him with love and affection (he doesn’t mind it really, as he loves her dearly, but he will mutter about how she’s being too lovey in public… it does make him feel like a strong man tho, which is nice). The second thing that she’d want you to know is that she’s a gunsmith, specifically for the creation, and decoration of firearms for women, by women. She has always been a gun nut, but the problem was she had always felt as if women see the firearm scene as a boys club, and she plans on fixing that. By making firearms that are appealing to the feminine gaze. She also happens to be half blind. That doesn’t stop her though, as she’s willing to do some crazy stuff just so that she can reach her dream.

This is literally just the basic explanation of these characters, I haven’t even gotten to the magical girl stuff yet, or what I want the story to be, so, ah, enjoy this at least lol

Christmas Time!

I will use Christmas as a base, but you can exchange it for other holidays accordingly! MORE UNDER CUT!!!

Kouta - I don't think Christmas or any of those are big for him because he is a yokai stuck to time, but I imagine he would like to spend time cozying with you since it would be cold. You are brushing his tail while he tickles you gently with his nails brushing over your skin. Def slowly blinked at you, heart in his eyes.

Probably hunts for you both in advance and he is an impeccable cook (a God's servant, he had to keep himself in line.) so you might get some winter weight! If you do not eat meat, he would struggle, but he would learn to pickle things so you could enjoy it in the colder months.

Beau - Watched the farm owners make big dinners for the holidays but never got any of it. His sister tried to make it a good day for him though, giving him some food she got from farm hands that felt bad.

In present times though, I presume he doesn't get much momentum to celebrate, since he works in Grandma's bakery, and it's a terribly busy time of the year. I like to imagine that he takes the time to bake something with Grandma together, closes shop and takes her to rest. She sleeps super early I'm sure. Then he would go out with you, bring you some hot cocoa (if you want with his milk or not, you choose) and go see the visuals. He loves Christmas lights.

Dae-Ho - I tried looking for how Koreans celebrate Christmas and if I get it wrong I'm sorry!

His parents usually aren't home at Christmas. He is an only child so he usually spent it alone, or with a nanny. The few times he actually had some fun on Christmas is when one or both of his parents were available, then they would invite work friends for a get together, have some finger foods by the chef instead of a big dinner and later at night he plays cello for the guests. He knows how to play piano and cello!

Got many gifts as a kid, but nowadays his parents don't bother giving him red envelopes with money or anything because he has a black card so.... I'm sure his dad got him permission for one of your trials for a gift once and it was the best Christmas for him. If you're together you do that but he plays instruments for you only, and swarms you with gifts.

Ramune - Never celebrated it, but once you explained it he got ecstatic. He loves parties and shiny things, and likes to get you gifts. (At the expense of his victims) And guess what, people get a lot of shit this time of year! 

Def wants to have lots of sex before, while and after you open his gifts. Doesn't eat so he just vibes with you watching Christmas movies. Is the type that would wear ugly sweaters. Also if you get him something prepare to be sucked dry.

This is a New Years thing but I wanted to add! In Spanish tradition you have to eat twelve grapes at each chime of the clock for good luck. He would 100% do that. (My abuela did it and I miss it)

Mono - Also didn't have Christmas in hell, but knows about good feasts! His family loves to eat, so he would love to have a nice dinner, that is after you explain to him humans don't eat wood. He would try to make you a pie or something but almost burn the kitchen. Crying sorrys as you clean it up. 

Good for the winter months tho, cuz he is very cozy! So you could just cuddle at home, or even go out! You won't ever feel cold around him. Prolly hates fireworks, but will watch a show if you like them.

Éliphas - in his lore, unicorns are a pagan God's favorite living beings, so I imagine he does celebrate the holidays, but in pagan ways! Also a good cook, considering you are never eating meat. (His food isn't vegan because I imagine there are animals like chicken and all in the domain) Doesn't snow there, so you both stay stargazing while he thanks the Gods for their blessings and dances with you. Will begrudgingly make a magic show for your entertainment.

His gifts tend to be homemade, and meaningful. You like to paint? He makes a whole set of brushes and paints for you. Clothes? He can sow, so he will make your clothes prettier than one of royalty. Likes animals? So does he! Gets you a place to care for your lil' critters.

It's also the time to prepare for the new year, so he makes spells to leave things behind to welcome anew. Whether that be feelings or physical

The arrow flew towards the back of his neck.

Despite all the other sounds around me, the loudest was the piercing of his skin, and the yell he let out. He’d said he wanted this, but it was clear that he didn’t want to die. Not this young.

It was as if it had all fallen silent with his body, hitting the ground lifeless. The dark pool of blood coated his clothes and the ground around him. I hope he didn’t feel any pain.

Runaan’s bow slipped out of my hands and clattered on the ground. My hands trembled and my blood froze for a second time.

I have just killed Callum.

There was a memorial for him, along with the arch dragons. Their sacrifices would mean nothing in a few years short of a decade, but it meant the world to me.

There were plans for Corvus to play his cello, for Ezran to give a speech. I wondered all the time if he and Callum could have ever made amends. If I hadn’t kept my promise, Callum wouldn’t have died with the idea that Ezran had resented him. I’d thought long and hard about that one.

When I had came back, the welcoming for Zubiea had been set up the same way. It felt bittersweet how my arrival had now paralleled alongside my leaving.

I didn’t attend the memorial. I had made my way over to the Storm Spire, courtesy of Zym. Climbing to the top felt easier than it had all the other times before. There was a weight off of my shoulders this time, a sense of relief I had not felt since I had picked up that bow.

I stood at the top for a minute and let the cool mountain air fill my lungs, letting air pass through like usual one final time. He had also loved the air. The sensation of oxygen in his chest was sacred to him, as if he needed air more than anyone did.

I took one of my blades out from their casing on my back, the other one would not taste blood. I ran my fingertips over the sharp edge of the metal, feeling it pierce the skin ever so slightly.

I closed my eyes as I stood on the edge.

The blade didn’t hurt as much as I was expecting it to. Not as much as it had been said to hurt. I didn’t feel the pain, but I felt the wind pressing on my body.

This time, there were no wings to swoop in and fly me back safely. For once, that was comforting to think.

After all, I will have to keep my second promise aswell.

I promised not to leave him again like I did years ago.

Has a rounded face with almond eyes. I imagine he’s super soft when touched. I also think he has decently sized lips. More soft,rounder shapes for his body.

The PRETTIEST SMILE. And super long lashes.(boys in general be having these super long lashes lol)

For some reason I imagine him being German and French. He can speak both if he rlly wanted too but you’ll have to drag it out of him.

It takes ALOT to get this guy genuinely mad and ready to crash out. Yeah he’ll get annoyed or whatever but if you were to… you know hurt his squad like Zenon or hurt/insult kids, then expect him to get angry

Good at card games and gambling even though he doesn’t do it often.

Looks good in red , blue , yellow, browns, and maybe some some jewel colors like teal /aquamarine.

In the modern world he would not know how to work video games. He’d probably watch his kid play looking confused but supportive.

Nozel

Can play violin and piano 🙏

Is actually pretty good at taking care of his kids. I genuinely feel like he would enjoy raising them and would love celebrating their important milestones. He’s most definitely going to be throwing big birthday balls for his kids.

Can’t handle anything spicy. Totally did not make his eyes burn by rubbing his eye with his spicy hand.(-.-)

Fuegoleon

Has a Squarish face with kind eyes(still siren eyes tho) he also has short eyebrows but I ignore that 😛

Has a soft box/rectangle shaped body. Body is muscular but it’s not rigid or anything.

I color him with a more tanned skin tone than his original one. I tend to make red/orange haired characters to look warmer. Idk it just matches.

He’s Spanish okay. He can also speak Spanish and English.

He can play cello and tuba. It matches him trust 🙏

Kinda sad but I imagine he didn’t have much friends despite being the nicer one between him mereo, and Nozel.

He would also be a good dad and would adore every thing about them!!
