my school's doing the junior version of newsies (i'm playing katherine!) and this line from crutchie (played by my best friend) breaks my heart every time we run this scene :(((

thinking about the junior script of newsies where crutchie uses himself as a diversion and sacrifices himself so that jack and the others can get away, before yelling for jack to leave and not try to save him. “The newsies need you, Jack. I’ll hold ‘em off.” :(
