Tbh post-canon I really enjoy thinking about these two sets of relationships: Jean-Annie-Connie and Pieck-Armin-Reiner. Each half of Aruani sandwiched between two people from the side opposite to which they once belonged.

Anyway. I said it in some set of tags recently, but I love the potential of the bond Reiner and Armin could share post-rumbling. They're both similar in the respect that they have some self-hatred (though the root-causes are a bit different). This self-hatred, if shared, is something they'd understand. Reiner fought the very essence of life (the hallucinogenia) to help humanity live despite yearning for death himself. After the battle, his mental health is a goner; the guilt of everything that happened right from his birth to the present is extremely heavy to bear alone. If he was at rock bottom before, well now he's below any visible surface lol. Armin isn't too different from him then; he's just as shattered, guilt-ridden and debating his right to exist - but the hope that's inside him is a very, very hard thing to kill. It's because of that hope that the battle could end at all, and even if Eren's death and the loss of much of humanity is a planet-sized sin for him to carry, he's still hopeful, he's still a dreamer, he still sees the beauty in life.

Armin has the potential to lead the way in both his and Reiner's paths to healing. And Reiner, ever the protective big brother, will be unable to hide his genuine care and concern for Armin's well being and safety throughout their political work. The two go on long walks, hands in their pockets, talking about the past and future and everything in between; they play plenty of chess; they pore over maps of the remaining world; they rely on each other to pick the other up when the bouts of guilt overwhelm them.

Pieck now, is very very interesting. Not only is she the sole outsider in the Ambassador group, but she's also the one person who carries no good memories nor much empathy for Eren. She's every bit grounded in reality as Armin cannot help but dream. Initially, I think she'd find Armin's optimism and hope quite naive and delusional; after all she's always been aware of the cruel truth of their existence and the Eldian race's place in the world. Moreover, Armin's bond with Eren puzzles her - she can see that Armin is not a bad person; far from it in fact, he's reasonable, empathetic, careful and strategic. How could it ever have been possible that someone like him and Eren used to be inseparable friends? Over time though as Armin confides in her more about his and Eren's friendship, she learns to appreciate the bittersweetness of two boys who were each the other side of the very same coin.

Pieck and Armin, I hc, share a love for music and gadgets. They are both incredibly smart and this makes it very easy for them to fall into place as a very strong political team. They plan, they strategize, they discuss methods and tools and issues in their way. Armin values Pieck's level-headed approach to viewing and solving problems, while she appreciates his innovative ideas, tact, and careful consideration in minimizing damage. They enjoy conversations, they buy each other music records to play on the gramophone, and while Pieck helps Armin see the things he misses when he's lost in dreams, Armin helps Pieck feel welcome and like family, in their gang of six.

(Bonus: Reiner's always prattling on to Armin about how he's so glad his "little sister Annie" is happy with Armin, while Pieck annoys him to no end by never missing a chance to point out what an adorable simp he is lmao)

i think the pink gives off a very futuristic vibe and goes perfectly with dinah's mostly blue outfit, especially since each character has one definitive color, but i think apparently i'm in the minority when i say i absolutely adore the silver bochum outfit???? it creates the most beautiful juxtaposition between prusty whenever they're next to each other, because the whole point is that rusty is an outdated steam engine while pearl is fresh off the line and brand new.

Voyager rewatch s3 ep20: Favorite Son

Oh dear, this one. What a camp fest. I can't believe they actually did an episode like this in the 90s, since this plot is 1950s pulp sci-fi to a T. If they'd have made it a little more subtle, it might have worked, but they really went over the top with the whole 'planet of beautiful deadly women' trope.

It actually started out pretty well, with Harry somehow knowing that an alien ship was going to fire on Voyager, and mysterious spots appearing on his face, which the Doctor can't explain, and then the crew having to figure out why. Harry has some good scenes of being conflicted over his choice to fire on the alien ship without provocation, and he plays it especially well with B'Elanna and Kes in sickbay. We don't see Harry and Kes interact a lot, so it was nice to see her give him an encouraging pep talk, and see that they're friends, which I think they would be, as the two youngest crewmembers on the ship, and Voyager's resident pure cinnamon rolls. I wish we'd have seen more of them together on the show. (Why did no one think of Harry and Kes as a romantic pairing?? They paired her with literally everyone else, you'd think Harry would have been the most logical choice- but I guess logic is only for Vulcans, not Star Trek writers!)

And then we get an unbearably sweet scene between Harry and B'Elanna, wherein he feels responsible for the injuries she suffered in engineering during the battle he started. He tries to apologize to her, but B'Elanna doesn't even know he started it, and she's in such good spirits once she sees him that he can't bring himself to upset her just because he feels guilty. She tells him the spots on his face make him look cute, like a spotted targ, and she teases him by calling him 'Spot' as he leaves, and it's the cutest shit I've ever seen. I love their friendship so, so much!!!

The Doctor eventually finds that Harry has some non-human DNA that could explain what's happening to him, Harry has a dream sequence that includes flashbacks to his childhood and his mom, which doesn't seem to serve a lot of purpose (plus the kid they cast as young Harry looks nothing like him), and then they find the planet that he seems to have an instinctual connection to- Taresia. The Taresians tell them that Harry is one of their own species, and welcome him back.

Harry and an away team go down to the planet, and they're greeted by a horde of beautiful women in slinky dresses, who immediately fawn over Harry. It's so cheesy, and such obvious male fantasy nonsense, but the actors somehow manage to keep a straight face as the Taresians explain that their species reproduces by implanting embryos in alien hosts, and that when they're old enough, their Taresian DNA awakens and leads them home to mate. Harry, as a rare Taresian male, is highly prized, and expected to take three wives from the fawning gaggle of seductive women who won't keep their hands off him. (It's all pretty creepy tbh, but somehow no one in the away team is like, 'hey, in our culture, kissing and caressing strangers is rude!' Wtf??)

Harry, being a good Starfleet lad, would rather hear about the science aspect than have strange women fawn over him, but the Taresian DNA taking over makes it more difficult for him to resist them- to the point that Tom is like, 'chill, dude!' when Harry starts stroking the faces of his adoring groupies. (And honestly, what a glow up moment for Tom- from being the guy who used to say inappropriate shit to strange women, to being the guy calling out his buddy when he sees him behaving innappropriately to strange women- that's character growth baby! We love to see it!!)

They leave Harry on the planet to get to know the Taresians, and Harry strikes up a conversation with his fellow prodigal male, Taymon. (Who's played by Patrick Fabian, who I will never be able to disassociate from his role as Professor Lasky on Saved by the Bell: The College Years.) Harry feels weird about finding out his parents aren't his real parents, and tells Taymon how he never thought he deserved all the love and attention his parents heaped on him (which is weird considering he knows they wanted a kid for ages before they had him, like of course they're going to adore you, especially when you're a purehearted, talented, perfect genius lol. Even his freaking Captain thinks of him as her perfect baby son!) but Taymon responds with total clueless male entitlement- he's all 'yeah, we're totally gods dude, we deserve to be waited on by all these hot women! Come see me get married to three hot chicks tomorrow!'

So Harry stays on the planet for Taymon's wedding, and the Taresian women keep coming into Harry's bedroom to try to seduce him and give him drugs, which you'd think would be a clue that they're Up to No Good, but apparently not?? Somehow?? I guess his parents never taught him about stranger danger!

Meanwhile back on Voyager, the Doctor discovers that Harry wasn't born with Taresian DNA, it was a retrovirus he picked up on an away mission- leading the crew to wonder why the Taresians would lie, and why the other aliens hate them so much.

Harry attends the creepy wedding, where everybody's dressed in red and they tie up the groom, and Harry finally gets creepy vibes from that, at least! Afterward, the Taresian girls sneak into his room to beg him to choose them as his brides, and they give off such strong 'Brides of Dracula' vibes in their red dresses and insistance that they must have Harry, that he finally figures out there's something shady going on. He manages to trick them into playing a kinky game so he can tie them up (how is this even a real plot?! of a real episode?!) and he tries to find Taymon to help him escape the scary hot girls, but he finds Taymon dead, his brides having drained the life from him in order to get the genetic material they need to reproduce. (We don't find out exactly how, thankfully- I don't want to know!!)

Harry has to escape the hot women, who chase him down and surround him in the most hilariously pulpy 50s sci-fi scene imagineable, but luckily, Voyager has returned, and beams him up just in time.

Back on Voyager, now free from the Taresian DNA, Harry celebrates his lucky escape, but laments wishing he was more confident with women (what?? how is that relevant to the theme of this episode??) and says he wishes he could be more like Tom, to which Tom replies that he's been trying to be more like Harry, aww. It's totally not relevant to the story we just watched, but it's cute, so okay, I'll go with it! This episode was completely bonkers, embarrasingly oversexualized, and so full of dumb cliches, I don't know where to begin, but hey, at least we got some cute character moments! and Harry in a v-neck top!

Tl;dr: A ridiculously campy episode that was impossible to take seriously, despite trying to give us some backstory and character moments for Harry. There were a few cute scenes with Harry and various friends that made it worth watching.

fanfact: there were rumors at the time about Pedro dating Teresa’s actress (sorry but I don’t remember her name) even though they were never confirmed and there are photos of him out with her and playing with her child (the child was her husband’s (at least I hope so LMAO)). I was stalking Pedro’s ig one day and I went back to old photos and I’ve found a photo from 2014/15 with Pedro with a female friend. The first comment that came out was from Teresa’s actress and she wrote something like “who is she?”. I’m sorry but I laughed so hard at that💀 she sounded so psycho-maniac LOL. OKAY INSANE QUESTION. had to spend all weekend thinking. idk whether you meant who would best fit as in like, who would be friends with the team?? or who would just generally exist in the yj universe?? so i'm doing a bit of everything <3 long as fuck so under a read more.

mailin is, i believe, the only canon girl soccer player, so the most boring superficial answer ofc is that mailin is the best fit. however:

nora m. and lottie would be a bittersweet type of almost, i think, if they were ever in a group project together. one time everyone bails on a meeting so lottie is like let's ditch the library come over to mine my parents are out. at some point they pause for a break and have a drink (lottie offers something alcoholic, nora declines, lottie doesn't question further but Knows something is up and grabs them both sodas). i don't think they'd be completely honest about their respective mental illnesses or family situations, ofc, but there'd be a shared, quiet understanding borne from a few anecdotes and the implications underlining them. it's nice to be able to breathe for a few hours, to admit the depth of your loneliness and momentarily allow yourself to cast it away. at one point, lottie puts on some music. they dance and laugh and let themselves be teen girls before lottie's parents come home. i think they'd say hi to each other in the halls, and nora would cheer when lottie scores a goal (the cashqueens go to mailin's games), but i just can't see them - for multiple, complex reasons - becoming besties. or at least, not publicly? i think it's one of those 'we'll have the magic of that night and i'll always be grateful for it' dynamics. fuck i actually want a fic of this now lmao.

in many ways shauna/jeff/jackie is just a parallel universe eva/jonas/ingrid situation. so i think shauna would be friendly at school with some of the evas (i'm thinking og eva and megan, not an eva but she'd also like liv imo), but they'd never quite click, either. shauna recognizes something in them she doesn't like - or, she can't recognize herself at all bc in her mind her situation is worse. but they'd share notes sometimes.

yara and tai are the resident It girls who run things bts. i'm assuming tai did multiple extracurriculars. she meets yara, class president, overseer of all, at one of them. they immediately just get each other's vibe and have the 'can work in silent tandem and get everything done in ten mins OR will spend an hour giggling' type of friendship. yara faux-casually lets slip that she's bi once. does she already know tai's closeted and wants to make her feel a little less alone, or is she just hoping she is, desperate to know she's not reading too much into it, wanting to feel a little less alone herself? (tai freaks out regardless. they make up, eventually. yara becomes the world's first tai/van shipper. they smile at each other, a little wistfully, across the room and over the crowd at parties.)

tai would think redouane was a bit of a class clown at first, but she'd see him on the other side of the gym sometimes, always working out, playing with the younger students, putting away equipment correctly, and she'd come to respect him. van would LOVE his lil films. he'd be on the yearbook committee and make sure to take really good photos of van for the yj page, and give her the outtakes, and they'd talk Cinema. bilal comes along once and he and van invent the Just A Goofy Little Guy Convention. but i also think they recognize something in the other - a desire for More from life, but a situation beyond their control that may not allow for it - and maybe they wouldn't talk about it, but she'd sneak him movies for zak and he'd sew her something to pin on her jersey.

pre-s6 lola would love pre-crash nat in the sense that they'd both skip classes to smoke behind the school. unforch lola would rather die than exercise so she also thinks she's better than nat bc she's not an athlete. max also likes pre-crash nat for her bisexual smoker swag.

nobody hates this more than me but tiff is v mistycoded like her first response to being rightfully slapped in the face is to fake a broken neck with a brace to make people feel bad for her. they also only have one friend. they'd absolutely HATE each other though. s6 tiff would def bully her. s7-10 tiff doesn't, but keeps a wide berth, and offers no real apology for her past actions. moira's existence is the only thing that stops misty from putting a dead rat in tiff's locker. the second moira's 18 though? oh it's over.

Azriel just gives her a flat look that implies he’s insulted she would even ask such a thing of him. Perks of being a super spy, she supposes. 

“Alright, I’m ready,” she says, holding out a hand in invitation. Azriel grips it tightly and they winnow into shadow and darkness. They emerge moments later onto the pleasantly warm Velaris streets, pleasantly bustling but not overly crowded, something neither of them would have appreciated. 

They set off together, Azriel quietly leading the way while Feyre follows, smiling and nodding at some of the people they pass who wave greetings to her. “Thanks so much for this, Az,” she puffs out, checking her bag to ensure she brought her purse with her. She doesn’t usually, typically relying on the convenient credit she has in most stores, but she doesn’t want Rhys to have any inclination of her purchase today. “You’re a lifesaver.” 

“It’s no trouble,” he says, leading them down into a quiet, shaded street and walking to the very end, a small store tucked into the corner. “I live to serve at the  High Lady’s pleasure.” She squints up at him, one eyebrow raised, and he smirks. “And entertaining as his last birthday was, I understand it’s not an experience you want to repeat.” 

“No,” Feyre groans, burying her face in a hand at the shame of it. She has many talents and she loves her mate dearly, as Azriel knows,  but gift buying has never been her strong-suit. And the bastard has a habit of finding exactly what she wants every single year without fail. Just once she wants to get him something absolutely perfect. Fortunately, she has a secret weapon in the form of Azriel. 

“Really though,” she grumbles, pushing into the shop after him, “Who’s allergic to strawberries?”  

“Rhys,” Azriel hums simply in that way that implies he knows everything in the world and that nothing could ever surprise him. 

Well, he had been surprised last year when Rhys had taken a large bite from one of the chocolates she had delightedly given him and then promptly started choking. The shadowsinger hadn’t been expecting that. Unfortunately neither had she. 

“And Keir,” he adds as an apparently innocent afterthought. 

Feyre blinks, startled, looking round at him. She supposes it’s not too odd, Keir and Rhys are related, even distantly. Still, “I suspect that comes from the list you have tucked away somewhere that details every known method of killing that bastard; not a concern for the steward’s meal choices?” She muses lightly. That tugs a small, dark smirk out of Az. 

Azriel leads her to the back of the shop then stops in front of one of the small, dusty glass-fronted cabinets to let her see what he’s picked out for her. She opens her mouth to point out that the display is stuffed full of items, she isn’t sure which one he means, but she stops when she sees it, her face lighting up in a smile. Hugging a rather startled Az she whispers, “It’s perfect.” And is relieved when he accepts the hug, smiling, patting her rather awkwardly on the shoulder to convey his acceptance of her gratitude. 

Once Feyre has made her purchase and had it carefully wrapped up by the owner, who seems friendly with Azriel, well, as friendly as anyone can be with him, the two wander back out onto the streets of Velaris. Feyre insists on dragging him into a nearby shop and pressing a large amount of fine differently coloured balls of wool into Az’s protesting hands and then further insists on taking him for a quiet cup of tea. 

She rarely spends time alone with the shadowsinger, he always seems to be out somewhere on some secret mission sometimes she doubts even Rhys knows about. That or closeted up in his room with Mor, enjoying the time he has with her. Usually she only has conversations with him like this when they all go to Rita’s and neither of them feel much like dancing for an hour or so. 

It’s nice, though. Azriel has a quiet, oddly calming presence, even with the shadows darting around him, whispering, always whispering. There’s a comfort to being around him, a sense of safety, and an odd feeling that she could tell him anything and he would simply nod and understand. As a result, Az is the one she’s gone to more times than she can count when she’s had a difficult decision about the court to make that she doesn’t want to put on her mate. He inevitably listens to all she has to say and offers a few quiet insights that help her make up her mind. She values his opinion, and his friendship, more highly than she thinks he’ll ever know. 

Not longer after they’ve sat down in a comfortable booth by the window, they’re both brought two teas and slices of cake that she hadn’t ordered, but that she suspects Azriel did, given that they’re both topped with liberal amounts of strawberries and that their arrival prompts a rare, mischievous smile to blossom across his lips. 

Feyre nibbles at her cake then decides now is as good a time as any to bring up what she wants to, as well as have her revenge for this little dig about the strawberries. Looking slyly at Az over the rim of her cup she says innocently, “I’m sorry to take you away from Mor, I know you just got back, you must have been wanting to spend some time with her.” 

Azriel just blinks at her, saying nothing, as he drops a lump of sugar into his tea. Then another. Then another. She’s discovered, from these little retreats they make to this place from time to time when they both need a little peace and quiet, that he takes an inordinate amount of sugar in his tea. He had confessed to her once, with a small smile, that it was his one and only weakness. 

Finally, carefully, too carefully, Azriel says, “I’ll have plenty of time to brief Mor, later.” Yes, brief her, amongst other things. 

“Mm,” Feyre muses, taking a small sip of tea, “Wouldn’t you rather have spent the morning with her than me?” 

Azriel blinks, apparently genuinely bemused by this comment, “You’re my friend, Feyre,” he says quietly, sincerely, “I like spending time with both of you.” Damn. She really should leave the subtlety and intrigue up to Az as well as the gift choosing. And he’s too earnest and good-natured, there’s no fun in teasing him at all. 

“Azriel,” she says quietly, a soft smile tugging at her lips, “I know.” He blinks owlishly up at her again, clearly implying you know what? And she just scowls at him because if she doesn’t get to tease him then she’s not playing games with him either. 

A deep flush of colour burns into Az’s cheeks as he stares at her, “How?” he rasps eventually and she smirks smugly at him. 

“You’re not the only one who can know other people’s secrets, Az,” she says with a grin, taking another pointed bite of the strawberry cake, which really isn’t half bad. She might have to bring Rhys here at some point, then she might have half a chance of finishing a dessert on her own without the High Lord’s spoon magically making its way over to her plate while he twitters about ‘mating bond equality’ and ‘what’s yours is mine, Feyre darling’. 

Azriel’s face darkens at that and a low, protective growl rumbles in his chest, “Who told you?” he demands, hands curling into fists. 

She starts in surprise at the sudden black venom in his voice and opens her mouth to say something when Azriel freezes, apparently realising how he’d reacted. The blush on his cheeks darkens and his wings twitch, clearly uncomfortable. “I’m sorry,” he murmurs quietly, and she has her suspicions that he and Mor haven’t been together for long confirmed, based on his response. 

“It’s alright, I understand,” she says quietly, and she does. That need to protect, to keep her safe must be heightened for the two of them after the amount of time they spent apart. She smiles, “And no-one told me, Az,” she huffs, a faint hint of playful scolding in her tone, “I can find some things out without the help of you and your spies, you know, I’m not blind.” 

“Says the woman who didn’t notice for nearly fifty years that her mate is allergic to strawberries,” Az mumbles into his tea, but she notes the playful spark in his eyes and resists the urge to kick him under the table with difficulty.

Instead she reaches over and takes his hand, “I’m happy for you, Azriel. For both of you. You deserve this,” she gives his hand a soft squeeze and finally manages to coax a faint smile from him.  “But why-” 

“Didn’t we tell anyone?” Azriel supplies for her. She supposes he has to find some way to claw back his composure, the best way he knows how, making sure he knows everything she does. Mostly. She nods. He shifts uncomfortably, wings rustling in agitation at his back as he shrugs. “We would have, when we were ready,” he says quietly. “We’re just...Not.” She’s never seen him so discomposed before, he’s usually the picture of articulate eloquence. But Mor...She does this to him. “Not yet, Feyre, please-” 

She gives his hand another quick squeeze, smiling, “I won’t breathe a word of it to anyone, Az, I promise.” He smiles, nodding his head, and thanks her. 

They finish their tea and cake and then Feyre winnows him to Mor’s townhouse before returning herself to the House of Wind to finish up her preparations for Rhys’ birthday. 

The next day, her mate is delighted by the delicate ornament of crystal Illyrian wings she gives him, after having spent all of the day before painting them, accenting the details until they’re a near perfect replica of her mate’s own. 

Feyre notes the way Azriel’s scarred, gentle hand slides around Mor’s waist, squeezing, drawing her in close, just for a moment while no-one else is watching....But misses the way Rhys raises his glass of wine in Azriel’s direction while she’s chatting to Mor, thanking his brother for picking out the gift. Az nods and smiles. The two of them are content to keep this particular secret between themselves for the rest of their long eternities.

ok i've come to scream about two things:

1. S3 IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE INVOLVING MAMMON AND MC LIKE?? when he and mc go to buy medicine and food for everybody??? and spend the whole morning together?? its just so *chefs kiss*. i literally daydream about that day and more little moments they could have spent. i also really love how this time MC had the chance to be jealous!! i just love their relationship to bits and the bond they have. they are so close — even if you don't view the romantic attraction. i think that's my favorite thing about them because they would work so well even if their bond is solely based on friendship. it would be still as strong

2. i've read Familiar Strangers and i was smiling the whole time let me tell you. it felt so warm??? it made me feel so much better after a bad day so thank you so much. also the yearning MC had while talking to him in his angel form and Mammon also feeling a strange pull towards them?? and the pararell at the end??? FANTASTIC!!!!!!!

2.) AHHHHHHHH!!!??? THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!? I'M!? I'm so happy you liked it, thank you so much for telling me! and I have SO many feelings about angel Mammon, demon Mammon and MC! The way Mammon told MC he didn't make pacts with random humans just a couple lessons ago, but how that didn't make sense cause MC WAS a random human when they made a pact and being the fastest of the brothers he could have gotten Goldie back without making the pact. But then the reveal that Mammon and MC have met before and that though he won't remember them he'd remember their effect on him and even (as seen in the hard lessons) possibly remember slips of them in his dreams so MC was never a random human even . I'm - sorry it took me tf out

1.) !!! Season 3 is so good! They're both just absolutely domestic in it? And they're so comfortable with each other? That whole trip with Luke? That was a family trip and you can't convince me otherwise! MC being the jealous one for once was was good! They also teased each other a lot and their friendship gives me life! They even mentioned marriage like thrice in the whole season and it sent me

I genuinely can't choose a favourite season tbh BUT I think season 2 had the most content for MC & Mammon?

Season 1 had that sprinkling of enemies to friends to more and I'm an absolute sucker for that trope (I think because all my childhood cartoons had that trope?) Him wrapping their wrist when they sprained it and telling them to die next time if he's unable to save them. Then they actually die and he sobs over their body?????? How those words he said to him must have been going on repeat in his head? Mammon worrying about MC going through Barbatos' door and telling them not to even joke about dying? All of that hurts so much!?

Season 2 had them coming to terms with/expressing their feelings. Just S2 came for my life:

•The phone call

•Mammon telling MC he thought of them more than money and them telling him that both their lives would be easier if he just admitted he loved them (dlsgehsksk????????)

•Carnival date! Holding hands in the haunted house! Winning them a pulshie!

•Asmo saying Mammon looks significantly more beautiful in pictures where he's modeling and him saying the reason is that he thinks of MC when he has a shoot

•Mammon's greatest wish in the reaper's cave was MC

•The thing Mammon was thinking about at the start of Groundhog day was MC and his greatest want was for them to say they like him

•Mammon accidentally confessing to MC while wearing the truth bracelet; saying he loves them so much it drives him crazy and how if he had to list what made them perfect they'd be there for a long ass time

•MC asking him to the dance

•Him apologising to MC when he came on to them against their will while he was under a curse, them healing his injuries from when Satan kicked him off MC, them sleeping together

•Him yelling at Lucifer but backing off when Simeon says he's worrying MC

•Him yelling at Diavolo for hiding things about MC's powers from them but backing off when MC says they're scared (of the whole situation)

•Mammon telling them that losing the pact won't change anything between them (which!!!?? He puts so much emphasis on being their 'first man' and the fact that he's now secure enough in his relationship with them (either platonic or romantic) that he doesn't need to clutch on to the anymore?) and initiating a hug and MC feeling like their bond has gotten even stronger

•Mammon's treasure item being the matching chocolate Lizard keychain he got with MC in S1 (even though Satan & Lucifer got them too he still treasured it cause it was the first thing he shared with MC/it was from his first trip with MC)

•Him telling MC that they oughta hurry up and learn to summon demons and then summon him first and how after that he won't ever leave them again

Hello Moon,

One relationship that I would love to hear from you on is one that I don't think has been discussed in great length; let's talk about sisters-in-law Annie and Mikasa

I think there relationship has a lot of promise going forward. These two once bitter rivals would find common ground in their love and devotion to Armin, and it seems like this would blossom into a beautiful friendship.

It seems like both would be able to confide in one another as both have had very similar experiences when it comes to things like romance; I see Annie seeking Mikasa’s advice in the moments of friction that come with any relationship, and Mikasa being  “big sister” can help her understand some of Armin’s feelings or thoughts that he is hesitant to express

Also, even though she lives in Paradis, I think there will be times when Mikasa will have extended stays with the two, specifically during Annie’s pregnancies (let's be honest, they are having more than one). She will help around the house and support Annie when Armin is off on his duties, getting a headstart on being the Best aunt.

Its a relationship I am very keen to hear your views on as it is one that while it started with an animosity between rivals I think would become something truly special.

There's actually a really special relationship between these two and it's very nice to explore tbh.

Mikasa and Annie are two extremely focused individuals. Obvious similarities aside (i.e, being the sole female character from each trio; matching each other in strength; cold and emotionless on the outside - a mechanism to drown out their emotional trauma; feared by the entirety of the 104th & so on), it's important to note that both Annie and Mikasa, even in their early days in the 104th, held a deep respect for each other's prowess in fighting skill. Among some others, I believe it's the one thing that kept them off each other's throats (though more so on Annie's part).

They are both also emotionally reserved, though in different ways. Annie emotional well being is stunted to the point that coming to terms with her feelings is a hard task. Mikasa on the other hand, is straightforward and quite blunt as far as protecting Eren is concerned, but her deeper feelings (as to why she's really so attached to him) remain something she finds hard to put into words. Going further, these two girls received, from Eren and Mr.Leonhardt each, some kindness and affection respectively, and made it their entire life goal to protect/return to them. For this, each was willing to cut down anyone and anything standing in their way.

It's why I believe that Mikasa and Annie understand one another's emotions so perfectly during the final battle. Mikasa understands Annie's feelings for Armin, and Annie understands Mikasa's underlying love for Eren. It's acknowledged during their conversation on their last night in Paradis too (Hange stew episode). Annie sees Mikasa willing to even let the Rumbling take place if it means she can get Eren back alive. The two have exactly one person in mind to protect (and this number grows, ofc; in Annie's case she goes back for Armin and the others of the 104th, and in Mikasa's case, she gives up Eren for the world). These are incredibly difficult decisions to make, which is what makes their exchange in Odiha and on Falco's back so wonderful.

Post-rumbling, it is also the handing over of a baton. From Mikasa to Annie: the duty of protecting Armin.

Now, headcanon time!

I honestly think they'd write a lot of letters to each other. The Alliance sans Mikasa isn't going to be able to step foot on Paradis anytime soon, so if a channel opens up between the two places to reliably exchange letters, that's a way to communicate. Annie being somewhat awkward with letters in general doesn't write much at first, but slowly the things she has to say expand from just Armin-centric stuff to other things as well. Mikasa however, is warmer, and this helps Annie get more comfortable in turn.

I wouldn't say Mikasa's going to be a person who will step in as a very delicate mediator when Aruani have relationship problems, but she's definitely reliable, firm and sensible. She says things like "Annie, you have to stop avoiding Armin," and "Armin, if you don't tell her what you're scared of, she won't understand." and so on. Straightforward, you see.

She's also a fantastic source for information and insider-secrets and behind-the-scenes knowledge about all things Armin.

There's a lot of hard feelings between Mikasa and Annie, but over time there come to be just as many points of understanding, empathy and genuine care; all of this makes their post-canon relationship truly special and warm.

- i can't believe this is the first part of the finale already. @cminerva and i have been speculating about the finale since the episode titles + descriptions were released. well, since before that, really, but the titles and descriptions gave us so much fodder, oh god. my prediction was that they'd do another first/second david job that would wreck us completely. so. you know.

- i watched all eight eps in a row, the night they were released, but @cminerva only got to watch the first two, so i had be very vague and spoiler-free in the texts i sent her when all i wanted to do was YELL, but once i got to the finale, i couldn't possibly be vague anymore, so i stated typing up my reactions in a notes file. that's gonna be super useful for this post now.

- ok let's do this! harry's daughter sneaking out, interesting start. harry's ex is beautiful. but jesus she REALLY traded down.

CALLED IT. @cminerva and i figured the strain in their relationship would have been harry's work, and not just the many hours of it, but more that he defended so many evil people. - omg when eliot and parker come back to the base and ask what happened, sophie says "we (!) tried our hand at hacking", but harry points to himself while she says it. this is one of the many, many reasons why i love this character: he's so absolutely willing to own up to his mistakes—not just the big, obvious ones they're all trying to redeem him from, but just the small ones, too, and i think that's mostly noah's acting choices, i doubt any of that is scripted. it's making me very emotional because it's obvious noah loves this character, too. and the WAY he takes the blame for the things he did wrong just reinforces my headcanon of anxiety disorder harry who has had therapy.

- you REALLY left harry for this dude, grace? really? i mean i know looks don't mean anything in the long run, but jeeeeesus. this dude doesn't even come across as a good guy.

"i believe in being civil." okay two things. a) i like that harry doesn't, idk, hate his ex and that he didn't make it hard for her to leave and find someone else, someone even he considered "better", cause even back then, he KNEW what he was doing was wrong. b) but also, this "being civil" thing i think might just have been another symptom of his attitude of "never picking a side". it's a really easy way to make sure nothing ever touches you, that no one can ever blame you. if he HAD fought for his ex and made it hard for her to leave him, she could have thrown that back in his face. by staying "neutral" (or as he calls it "civil", cause lbr, there is no true "neutral" in a breakup like that), he made sure none of the immediate blame could fall on him. SHE left him. SHE asked for a divorce. stuff like that. but he knows now that it was precisely that, his INaction, that put the final nail in the coffin of his marriage. which ties in very nicely with what he says to sophie in that one scene in jackal job.

- "probably doesn't hurt that because of me, you don't have to pay alimony or child support." YOU LITTLE TWAT. harry has made a LOT of mistakes in his life, but i don't believe for a second that he would've minded paying alimony, let alone child support. i mean, he's a lawyer, for god's sake. if he'd wanted a pre-nup that would've kept him from paying alimony, he probably could've had one. and we KNOW he's loaded. and especially now, he no longer cares about the money. i mean, he's been living in a room in a slightly run-down old theatre with four housemates, basically, instead of staying at his presumably huge and fancy own apartment or house.

- "how did you recalibrate your thinking about morality?" - "well. there is honour amongst thieves. i started there." i am SOBBING. i know this episode and this entire season really is about harry, but my GOD. sophie has grown SO much, since nigerian job obviously but also since the end of leverage 1.0 and even since the beginning of 2.0—so, so much. talking about harry and his arc comes to me fairly easily, but talking about sophie is just. hard. she means so much to me. i might come back to this in another post. i do want to talk more about her arc in this entire season.

- on a more shallow note, JEEEEESUS gina is gorgeous. and idk if that was a coincidence or ~filming magic, but it's overcast in this scene EXCEPT for the moment when sophie says "there's honour amongst thieves". it's not a lot, but you can tell that the sun comes peeking out for that one second and hits her face and she just GLOWS. JFC.

- also i know it probably doesn't mean anything, but when sophie leaves, the way harry turns and looks back at what i assume is his old house (i.e. his ex and his old life), then turns back to sophie and looks at her and then walks after her DOES THINGS TO ME. it could be such a beautiful metaphor for the way he's being torn in half.

- awwwwman, the kids talking about sophie leaving. "she's gotta find out who she is." !!!!!! I JUST!!!!! i think i've got something about this in my "yell at @cminerva" notes for the next ep, so i'll just. stop for now. but i have all the feelings anyone has ever had about this.

Hey love, so I'm rewatching the show I'm thinking about the characters that haven't been paired up yet lmfao and there are some really great possible combinations here, I'd love it if we get a wlw couple maybe Isobel and Rosa or Isobel and Maria or even rosa and Maria, all three ave very intriguing to me. Isobel and Rosa had some great chemistry in those flashback scenes even though technically it wasn't Isobel the actor chemistry is still there, Isobel and Maria have an interesting if underdeveloped dynamic and Maria and Isobel could serve some friends to lovers excellence we don't have that on the show. As for Kyle, I also see him with either Isobel or Maria tbh, they would both serve, I would also love it if he was bi/pan and he had a male love interest. This is one of those rare shows where almost all the characters could be paired up in interesting ways( although I didn't necessarily ship them Liz/Kyle Maria/Michael and Kyle/Alex had wonderful chemistry in different ways as well) I would also love it if we had an ot3, there have barely been a couple of decent ones in anything ever, like that would would so good, an actual polyamorous loving relationship. The possibilities are endless I just hope they're not afraid to go there because while we're making strides in representation 99% if they already have a queer relationship will not have another one and if they do go there fingers crossed they back it up with good writing, it would be such a waste if they didn't take advantage of the overflowing chemistry between everyone, when it comes to friendships too, I want to see more interactions between everyone, strangers things has an even bigger cast of main characters and fewer episodes and they manage to give some beautiful platonic relationships. It would work here too where we have people in pairs or threes working on something together for a few episodes and then switch it up and then everyone teams up for the last 2 or three. Lol sorry for the long essay I just see endless potential because of how great and diverse the cast is as well as the possibilities mystery and overarching plot, the show has been decent so far, handling some things far better than others but it could be so much better in my opinion.

I'm really not someone to condemn an age gap, I just think that Rosa has so much on her plate, and she still has so many experiences to make, if they'd both be 10 years older respectively (and Rosa had had a chance to grow up, find a job she likes, make some life experiences of her own etc) it would for much better for me. Anyway, Lily and Amber definitely have chemistry, so who knows. I'm here for allllllllll the wlw pairings! \0/

I'm a strictly Kylex BroTP person, so that's not a pairing I'd want to see explored romantically, however, I really digged Kyle and Max sleuthing together last season! That was surprisingly good, and they had great chemistry.

And Isobel and Kyle? HELL YEAH. Sadly their best scene is from that cursed episode I'll never in my life touch again, but I've always been a huge Kybel fan. Although I have to say that Kyliz is my OTP. I know, I know, they'll never be endgame, but I love them together. And while I'm DYING to see Isobel exploring her sapphic side, Belmanes has grown so near and dear to my heart, I'm not yet willing to let go of the idea of them ending up together. 🥺

Kyle and Maria could be interesting, no idea whether the show's going to pair off more main characters with each other tho. We'll see.

And while I absolutely don't mind OT3s, I'm not exactly yearning for one tbh. And honestly, after the absolute WORST way to force one on us last season, I'm kinda violently opposed to the idea of this show ever getting another shot at pairing three people together.

I'd rather they focus on writing decent storylines for the core 8, write an EXCEPTIONAL COSMIC love story for Malex, and otherwise put in the effort of telling good love stories for the other characters - especially when they are queer storylines.

I'm very 50/50 on Virgo, I like them, but I find I'm more 50/50 with Virgo than I am Capricorn, I like virgo, and I look up to them tbh, but most of them I find are kinda....meh, they can either be the greatest Philosophers of life or they're down right weird, but idk, there is always this weird thing I find with Virgos, even the best, I can't hardly touch them, i idolize them a little tbh, and I love them all dearly, they're one of my favorite signs, but I find once they're hurt I find they just kinda self destruct...and it makes me sad.

Idc who reads this, I'm sorry Mom. This is the Dommy Mommy Sign for me, I love Scorpio's so much (Especially Sun sign), I just find they can give me exactly what I want and need (in any sense), this is definitely a wifey sign for me, one of my favorite signs.

Sagittarius - Luv/Hate

I always find these fuckers (Sun Sign) attractive, I find they'd be a cool wife if you could catch one, but idk, I just find them to be more of a sibling sign to me than anything, I hate to put that and then say this...the fact I have a crush on SO MANY OF THEM, but, idk, I either love them to where I'd consider something serious, or the worst is I find them annoying, hypocritical, judgmental and sometimes similar to Leo moon, they talk a lot of shit, but mostly behind your back, sometimes they can be more so two faced and if I had to pick any sun sign to stereotype as two faced it would Sagittarius, but I think it mostly depends on moon signs I'd say tho (Pisces or Leo 🤮) (Aquarius or Libra 💖)

Oooh, I hope so! No idea if he’ll say that exact line, but Iris (either through her actions or through his thoughts of her) better have something to do with getting him out of the mindscape.

I really hope Don appears at some point because the twins have a close relationship in the comics and I want to see that in live action.

I can’t lie, I’d be pretty pissed if he didn’t show up. I mean, he has to exist because Bart has to exist. And what writers would say know to depicting the speedster version of the Romeo & Juliet saga? 

So all of the slots have been filled for ‘characters giving birth’ on the Scorecard, and I know we’ve already mentioned that they can add slots as they’re revealed, but I feel like that’s one they would’ve known/listed already. So that either means that A) Cecile isn’t having the baby, B) something happens to the baby, or C) TVLine just hasn’t added her slot yet which re-opens up the possibility of an Iris pregnancy being added after it happens too.

Yeah, I think it’s C. Not that Iris is real-time pregnant necessarily, but that TVLine doesn’t add a slot unless they know 100%. So if they haven’t watched the finale or heard confirmation from the producers, they aren’t adding the Cecile slot yet, even though we all know she’s having that baby this week.

I was so pissed Diaz didn’t die or at least gone to prison because that mean he going to become a recurring villain for S7.

You and me both. He was a terrible villain, and not wrapping up his arc in the finale made S7 feel like a waste.

Hi Tati ❤ So I really hope they don’t waste too much time with Caitlin’s half ass storyline in the finale because idgaf about her and I also hope none of the cliffhangers has something to do with her. Tbh anything Caitlin related they can keep it. Anyway I really need to see the set up of the Flash family in this episode and I hope they confirm that Mystery Girl is Barry and Iris’s daughter at least to the audience. Do you think they gonna do this?

They’re definitely confirming MG is Westallen’s daughter, don’t worry. It’s the thing Grant was most excited about, and Candice told Leanne fans would know who she was in the finale.

I do. In fact, @westallenallure on Twitter thought she saw him in the promo - and I think she’s right. Even if that isn’t him, I’m positive they wouldn’t have Joe say he would be there for the birth only for him to … not.

Yes, she does! Even if it happens offscreen, which I doubt because half the stills were of her, her baby is being born in the finale.

This may seem random to say here, but i am making a vow to not let fandoms ruin things for me anymore and i speak specifically to Barry, Cisco and Caitlin interactions. Cause i dont see them as OTF, just friends who had great moments together that were genuine and i refuse to continue to be bothered by their scenes bcuz of certain sides of the fandom exaggerating what those interactions mean. I want to enjoy their moments again, just as much as i enjoy westallen and west family ones
