#i think there are some times where yaz and 13 were hinted at#but i wish we got more lol#i think its cause the way the episodes go there's like no time for actual convo btw them#and they have some moments but like with 3 companions who get split up often and really fast paced plots all the time#it makes the little moments harder to achieve so i get that#but thats just one example of the main gripe i have w some of the episodes cause theres just barely time for these characters#to get fleshed out#so like to see all the build up to dan talking to both of them#and to see dan and yaz or yaz and 13 have a couple more interactions where its like just glances and 13 being oblivious lmfao#would be really nice#but it was an unplanned thing so like i get it#its just a shame lol#wasted potential ig#or even to see any of the time where yaz and dan spent 3 years traveling#like we got a cute montage#but thats a lottttt of time#i do enjoy them portraying yaz as never giving up after 13 was in space jail#just more scenes like that would make it feel more realistic#i do love the humor and the drama if this ep thoug#though#i think im a sucker for time loops as well so im happy theyve done an episode really focusing on it

I'm officially up to date with Doctor Who! (Well New Who)
Assorted thoughts on season 13:
This season was so much better!
I don't know if it's having less companions to get to know (plus already being acquainted with the doctor and Yaz) but it felt more real somehow. Maybe Dan feels a bit more charismatic than Graham? He is a bit of a saint, but he doesn't come across as holier than thou so maybe that's why it works.
With Flux I liked the longer form story (but I will admit I ended up having to rewatch the whole thing because I got to the end of it and couldn't possibly tell you what happened). But! Stuff happened, it was fun and not too serious and definitely felt more like doctor who! (Don't ask what stuff, still not sure I could tell you)
The two stand alone eps are a bit weird on their own after that, but they were both far more enjoyable than maybe anything in season 11?
Yaz's arc was a bit confusing - that she's in love with the doctor sort of came out of nowhere for me? It doesn't really strike me that Yaz knows very much about the doctor, and some of that is that this doctor is a bit reticent but you don't really get the impression they talk that much about anything? I guess it comes back to they are telling me she's in love with her but there's not a lot that goes on to show me that she's in love with her.
I loved the Power of the Doctor. There's an awful lot of threads going on so I'm not entirely sure it all made sense but it was fun and doctor who-ey and pretty.
I thought it was interesting to get rid of a companion at the start of the episode. To be honest they should do this more often - if you don't have anything for them to do in the ep, don't just drag them along! Write them out!
I sort of loved the Yaz-Master dynamic in this and I wish they'd spent some more time playing with it a bit. In fact, they should have laboured it more in the Spyfall eps when he was still O - this would have been so compelling when he tried to get her to be the companion later on.
Side note to this: why on earth does no one say anything in response to him explaining his plan? I would be terrible companion material, but there were at least 3 points in that scene where I would not have been able to stop myself from blurting out 'but why though' and I cannot fathom how Yaz managed to avoid doing it.
Also I still don't get why they didn't go hard with the Doctor & Master. He literally did his whole plan essentially cause he's obsessed with her? Why are they wasting this? Let her flirt a little bit, come on.
I'm not quite sure I understood the forced regeneration as a thing but I'll not worry too much about it.
I think my new fave in this is Ace, who I was aware of but had never watched an ep with. The scene with the Seven hologram made me a bit teary and I didn't even know the context of how they left things.
Also I love Eight, I didn't really know what was happening in that scene but I love him anyway.
It was a shame Ryan was missing it all in Patagonia.
Yaz must be super strong to carry the doctor like that at the end. It was a bit weird that all the rest of the companions sort of left her to it, but I guess she managed so it doesn't matter.
I did find it a bit ironic that the power of the doctor seems to be that she can make friends, when what we actually see of this incarnation is her struggling to deepen these relationships to a level further than acquaintance because she is unwilling to communicate beyond the superficial with any of them.
Also why on earth does she take so long to regenerate? We'll grab an ice cream and chill and then I'll drop you home and then I will go away on my own to die.
It did feel a bit like she just ditched Yaz here, I assume that Yaz got the hint from Ace and Tegan off but it would have been nice to see her make the decision to leave more overtly. (Or is she coming back? I assume not with the Doctor Anonymous meeting). I did love the Croydon reference though.
Do you know what I'm still mad about? The BBC spoiling their own stupid show on the fucking news bulletin the morning after this aired. Like I know I would have been spoiled at some point given how far I was behind, but honestly, I was so irate the next day. If you worked nightshifts you would not have had time to watch! I would argue it has absolutely no business being in the news bulletins anyway.
But despite that sour taste in my mouth, gosh isn't it cosy and warm seeing your fave* back as the doctor? đ
That his clothes regenerated was lame tho. The Master wore them so why not put Tennant in some natty dungarees for a few seconds. Get a grip.
In conclusion, I really liked thirteen in this ep and I guess this series too; I'm a bit sad she's leaving just as I feel she was finding her feet. Basically season 11 was such a waste, and it annoys me that that was our introduction to a female doctor.

oh hell. I just realized... i haven't gone through losing a Doctor I loved since I was about 13 years old. Well, for Peter Capaldi, sort of, but we had so much warning, and it was kind of drawn out, and I was more bummed about Bill. Also, while I liked his Doctor very much, I never fully imprinted on him as "my" Doctor. (I did tear up a bit at The Last Adventure, and unsurprisingly I cried buckets for Nyssa.)
This should be interesting. I have a feeling Thirteen may really be the first modern Doctor whose ending poleaxes me, unless Chibbers and the gang flub the climax.
*vagueblogging [spoilers up through Episode 4] season 13*
I haven't been saying a whole lot about this season because I keep watching it 1-2 days late, by which time y'all have already said All the Things, but I'm really enjoying the excellent writing and storytelling. Most of them have been a hella wild ride, with time jumps and space jumps that I think Who should take advantage of more often.
I love how fierce and chaotic and self-sufficient this Doctor isâ much like One and Two, despite having multiple companions, she really works alone to her own drum a lot of the timeâ the flashes of compassion, the flashes of anger, and the sense that she's running, weaving, dodging, reacting, barely having to process what's going on, like she's running across a battlefield with explosions... she's improvising her way through each emergency but she hasn't had a moment to catch her breath, take stock, consider what's happening since she and Yaz stepped onto K-dog's ship.
I like how competent Yaz is now, although I still wish Chibbers wasn't so allergic to giving her emotional character depth and letting her interact with her Doctor. JUST as I feared: This was supposed to be their season, but there's barely any time for them to interact, because women being bffs just isn't a thing in Doctor Who. Instead Yaz is teaching Dan the ropes, which is a good twist too.
I appreciate the classic Who easter eggs (Nitro 9), history (Sevastapol, MARY SEACOLE, Belsen :() and tantalizing Gallifrey hints. (Red plants? The Academy?)
I think/hope there's going to be a lot of rewatchability on this season once we know all the pieces.
I'm still a little uncertain about some of the new stuff that's been introduced to canon, but once upon a time people were howling about how Invasion of Time totally mucked up the Time Lords and Gallifrey and contradicted what had gone before. I hated the Valeyard when that concept was introduced, but it didn't break the show. And I honestly wasn't happy with the Time War/Last of the Time Lords concept, but it kind of worked...nor did I like it when the Doctor went from being some cosmic hobo dropout to The Oncoming Storm with delusions of grandeur, yet that superhero version of the Doctor is the default for most fans now... the point being, radical new backstory sometimes gets folded in, and if it works well, it stays, and if it doesn't, it bleeds back into the background.
Most of all, I feel like the storytelling this season is so good that I'm willing to suspend judgment and see where it's going. I'm enjoying the wild ride. And there's enough heartwrenchy stuff without the angst going over the top into soap opera melodrama, which is a very fine line to walk.(As a fanfic writer, I certainly skate right past it.)
I like the secondary characters and their actors. Regarding Vinder & Bel â if not for the fact this het couple (but at least PoC! Yes, Virginia, representation in SF matters, at least until it's not incredibly rare!) is hogging the emotional relationship space I was hoping Thirteen and Yaz would have this season, I'd love every second, and I forgive them; they're awful cute. I have seen the theories from some of you about who the baby maybe. Like I said, I prefer the Doctor as an ordinary person, a dropout and something of a fuckup, as far as Time Lords are concerned, instead of an epic hero. So I like the way Vinder and Bel are turning out to be decent, honorable, loving, but very ordinary people. However, I think the fanbase will lose its collective shit if it turns out... yeah.
The trailer for next week gave me a glimpse of someone I've been longing to see ever since Jodie was announced as the Doctor! If their characters don't meet, though, I'm gonna have a sad. They HAVE to. Come on, Chibbers, throw us old farts a bone and give us the "Who else would it be?" line I've been waiting for.
...almost forgot to say. My first reaction after finishing this week's ep was, "Oh, my poor babies." That was a GOOD GOOD GOOD tasty cliffhanger. Yaz seeing that happen in front of her and not being able to do a damn thing... oh, yummy, tasty ouch.

I was thoroughly thrilled with the finale! My thoughts:
Yaz is alive! Dan is alive! But most importantly Yaz is alive and totally fine for now
Jericho is unfortunately not alive, which is sad because I got really attached to him
c a n o n b e d r o o m c o r r i d o r
13 getting split up at the beginning got me in my Valeyard themed clown makeup ngl
That scene! At the end! Sweet catharsis!
Hughughughughug we got a hug boys it happened
Time as a character was really cool and I loved how they were portrayed. 13-as-villian was deliciously sinister.
We were all busy shipping Thasmin and then they turned around and gave us 13 flirting with herself
I liked the resolution with the watch because I thought it would be a hard sell if she got all her memories back but also it would have really sucked for them just to be destroyed
In true Doctor Who fashion, Karvanista ends up with companions of his own after leaving the Doctor
Actually the stuff with him really hit me. It felt awful watching a former companion be so betrayed and hurt and angry with the Doctor. That scene with them both in the cage was reeeeaaalllly good.
Is this the first time 13 has said companion?
I knew we had to have a scene with multiple Doctors at some point but when Alternate 13 walked in I was s h o o k
Also been a while since we had a torture scene in this show
Kate! Kate! Kate! Kate! Kate! Love her, wish we could have had more
Azure talking to 13 was great because it felt like she really didn't see what they were doing as wrong and that was Fascinating. Up until now Swarm was my favorite but she swooped in and stole the spot with that scene.
Can't believe they Monsters Inc.-ed the Grand Serpent at the end
Uh-oh Time foretelling the Doctor's demise, gives me 10 vibes
also, the Master. Pretty obviously coming back right?
Dan has officially decided to travel with them now!
Overall this season has been fantastic! Every episode felt like it was better than the last, which is really hard to do and I'm impressed. It's probably going to be my favorite of 13's run, though I'll have to wait for the excitement to die down to know for sure. It's been a pleasure sharing my thoughts here, I've had a lot of fun. I'm probably going to go on an internet blackout soon to avoid spoilers, so you won't hear from me for a while. But one day, I shall come back. Yes, I shall come back.
YES EVERYONE IS ALIVE and I know Yaz at least makes it all the way to the centenary special!!
I fell in love with Jericho so yeah that scene HURT
canon bedroom corridor canon bedroom corridor canon bedroom corridor. fic writers are quaking (it's me i'm fic writers)
the hug was everything i hoped for and more, and the embodiment of time?? evil jodie?? i combusted
debatably my favorite part of the episode was the "you're cute!" "Thanks, so are you!" and the "I have got such a crush on her" I DIDN'T KNOW HOW MUCH I NEEDED THAT UNTIL IT HAPPENED
and i completely agree on the subject of her memories. I figured she wouldn't get them back for a few reasons but i'm glad they're not just,,, gone and lost again forever.
yeah no the stuff with Karvanista was unexpectedly sad. (hate to admit the howling scene made us all laugh though) and yes I think this has to be the first time she's said companion bc I went all eye emoji when she did
the torture scene did me in let me tell you
KATE. wish she could've had a bit more screen time but it's at least hinted we'll see her one more time before jodie's run is up??
I liked that azure finally got a really good chunk of plot-driving content bc she was just kind of there as a side piece for swarm for most of the series. That whole scene was incredible
monster's inc'ed i loved that
so i thought i was home alone while i was watching the Time scene where she says "your time is coming to an end" and that was the first time they've even begun to set up her regeneration you know?? a few years ago that would've had me crying like a baby but i can't really cry anymore so i just started LAUGHING HYSTERICALLY FOR A FEW MINUTES and i look over and my roommate is standing in my doorway looking at me like i'm crazy
SO EXCITED WE GET MORE DHAWAN!MASTER CONTENT WHILE WE STILL CAN
It struck me as weird giving Dan the official companion invite this late in?? since he's only got three episodes left?? but hey I'm here for it!
I always looked forward to getting your post-episode rambles in my inbox so thank you!! take care and i'll eventually see you around!!

Home | Final Chapter
Pairing: 13!Doctor x Daughter!ReaderÂ
Summary: The final chapter!
Word Count: 3247
Warning: this is a whole lot of angst and drama because its the end with just a hint of extra cheesy fluffÂ
A/N: so this is basically the plot of The Timeless Child minus the whole Cyberman stuff that happened before they were on Gallifrey... hopefully it will make sense when you read it! As always spelling and grammar is not my strongest skill so please be kind :)
Part Three | Masterlist
- - - - -
âSo those things, the Cybermasters, they canât die?â Ryan is trying to get his head around regeneration as the four of you hide out in an empty room and you try to explain whatâs happened.
âTechnically yes, they can die. But they come back to life almost immediately. The Master made them from the bodies of dead Time Lords, so they can regenerate like The Doctor and I canâ
âThis is mad!â Graham says, shaking his head in disbelief.
âAnd now the Masterâs got The Doctor trapped?â Yaz asks and you nod âso how do we save her?âÂ
âI don't knowâ you answer honestly âsheâs normally the one who knows what to do in these situations, she comes up the plans, she saves usâ
âAnd you're her brilliant daughter. If anyone can come up with a Doctor saving plan itâs youâ Graham says, squeezing your hand.Â
You give him a small unsure smile and think for a moment.Â
âOkayâ you take a deep breath âwe need to get into that room. The Master has the Doctor trapped in some sort of paralysing cage thing, if we can somehow get the control from him and free her then sheâll know what to do next. But how do we get into a room full of CyberâŚâ you trail off as an idea comes to you âThe Cybermasters! We have to dress up as Cybermasters!â
âHow?â Ryan asks
âWe need to go back to the upgrading roomâÂ
âBut thereâs loads of Cybermasters around thereâ Yaz says
âThen we use the guns if we have to. Once they die we have about 30 seconds before they come back. We grab as much armour as we can and we disguise ourselves, but we have to be quick. 30 seconds, thatâs all weâve gotâ
âOkayâ Yaz says, nodding as she psyches herself up.
âLets do itâ Ryan agreesÂ
You're about to leave the room and start your journey back to the upgrade room when suddenly you can hear the Doctor in your head.
âY/N?âÂ
âWhat- how are youâŚ?â
The fam stop and look at you confused as you're talking to yourself.
âTelepathic link, Time Lord Trick. Please tell me you're back at the TARDIS?â She says, she sounds more panicked than youâve ever heard her sound.
âNo, Iâm hiding. Iâm with Graham, Ryan and Yazâ
âWhat?! I told them to stay- you all need to get out of here now! The Master knows you escaped, heâs looking for you. Get back to the TARDIS, sheâll take you somewhere safeâ
âNO! Iâm not leaving you- Listen weâve got a plan, weâre going to help youâ
âAbsolutely not! You're not doing thatâ
âIâm not asking for your permission. Iâm not a child!â You snap.
âBut you are MY child! I lost you once already Y/N, I canât do it againâ her voice cracks as she speaks and you feel your heart sink. She really does care about you, even if she is too awkward to admit it. You take slow, silent breaths as you consider what to do next.Â
âY/N?â She questions.
âIâll see you soonâ you say before pushing her out of your mind, closing the link. You look up at the fam who are staring at you. âTelepathic link. The Masterâs looking for meâ
âWhat do we do?â Yaz asks you.
âWe carry on with the plan. Heâs left The Doctor alone, if weâre quick we can get to her before he doesâ
â â â âÂ
After successfully getting your hands on some Cyber-suit armour and disguising yourselves you begin leading the fam back to where The Doctor is. You turn a corner and your heart almost stops when you see The Master walking towards you. You do your best to stay calm as you continue to march down the corridor, hoping that heâll ignore you. Which he does until you get close.
âYou lot!â He shouts, his voice think with anger âgo and watch The Doctor. Don't let her out of your sight and if you see the girl, kill her! Iâm bored of this.â
With that he storms off, presumably still looking for you. You take a moment to gather yourself before returning to marching.Â
âYou alright?â Yaz whispers and you hum in response.
Finally you reach the entrance to the room where this mess all began. You warily push the door open expecting to see the room full of Cybermasters, but instead the room was empty. Apart from one lifeless body laying on the floor.Â
âNoâŚâ you whisper to yourself as you race down the stairs as fast as you can in the restrictive metal body, removing your helmet and throwing it to the side âDoctor?!âÂ
You fall on your knees at her side and turn her face, pushing hair away from her eyes. The fam stand behind you, removing their helmets as they watch through worried eyes. âPlease, please wake up! Please⌠I canât lose you⌠MumâŚâ
When she doesnât respond you lean forward and hug her, resting your head on her chest. A quiet sob escapes Yazâs lips and Ryan puts his arm around her. Graham kneels down beside you, gently placing a hand on your back.
The four of you remain silent for a moment until you hear:
âMy famâ the Doctorâs quiet voice makes you sit up and gasp with relief âmy Y/N⌠what are you wearing? Ohâ you help her sit up and she looks around the room still slightly dazed âall those memoriesâŚthe matrix⌠the memories blew the matrix! Oh sheâs clever. Iâm clever!â A massive grin appears on her face and she looks at you âWeâre all clever. All of us. However many that isâ
âWhat are you talking about? What matrix?â You ask, a confused smile appearing on her lips as you look at herÂ
âYou called me mumâ she ignores your questionsÂ
âDid I? Sorry-â
âNo, I liked itâ she smiles at you for a moment before standing up and helping you get up âright then, off we go! No, theres something Iâm missing.â She thinks âThe Master is creating a new race of Cybermen using Time Lord bodiesâ
âWe know, we saw themâ Yaz says
âWe shot some of them but they just came backâ Ryan adds and The Doctor gives him a look.Â
âAn endlessly regenerating army. I have to stop him. Fast. You shouldnât be here. No humans on Gallifreyâ
âThis is Gallifrey? Your home Gallifrey?â Graham sounds shocked
âI need to get you off this planetâ The Doctor starts running up the stairs and you all follow. She runs down the corridor and uses her sonic to open up a door âEveryone, through here!â
You all rush inside and find yourselves in a room that feels familiar.Â
âItâs a TARDIS!â Ryan says, as the Doctor presses buttons on the central control. âIt is a TARDIS right?âÂ
âLooks like itâ Graham agreesÂ
âThis can take us all home!â Yaz says happily.Â
âNot allâ you say, watching The Doctor somehow knowing exactly what sheâs planning. The fam look at you confused but you continue to look at her and she stares back. âYou're staying arenât youâ
âI have to. What heâs created is the most dangerous threat this universe has ever seen. Immortal Cybermen. I canât let a single one leave this planet, or its game over for everyone.â
âThen let us help youâ Yaz pleads
âNo. I started this, I have to end it. Alone. The TARDIS will take you back to the 21st centuryâ
âYouâre not serious!â Graham exclaimsÂ
âDeadlyâ
âWhat about you? How will you get back?â Ryan asks
âIn my TARDISâ she says, but you don't believe her.
âWhy are you lying to us?â You say and she looks at you âYou don't think you're going to get out of this alive thats why you're sending us away!âÂ
âDoctor?â Yaz presses. The Doctor continues looking at you before letting out a sigh.Â
âThereâs a weapon here on Gallifrey that when activated will wipe out all life forms on the planetâÂ
âYou sure you want to do that?â Ryan asks
âIâm sure I don't want to do that, but thereâs no alternative.â
âBut youâll die tooâ
âThatâs the way it has to be. And I would do that in a heartbeat for this universe. For youâŚâ she looks individually at each of the humans stood in front of her before her eyes finally land on you ââŚmy famâ
She turns and walks towards the door, but Yaz runs after her.
âWeâre not letting you go! You're not doing this!â She cries as she grabs her arm but the Doctor shakes her off.
âGet off me Yaz!â She pauses and takes a breath, tears in her eyes âplease⌠live great livesâ
She turns again and goes to leave but stops just before the door.Â
âY/Nâ she says without turning around and you go to stand beside her âitâs up to you now. Look after themâÂ
You nod and look down as the tears in your eyes threaten to fall.Â
âThis isnât fair, Iâve only just found youâ your voice comes out as a whisper.Â
âI know. Iâm sorryâ she pulls you into a hug and whispers in your ear âIâm so proud of who youâve becomeâ
She lets you go and walks away. The room is silent as you watch her leave, the door closing behind her.Â
You all stand completely still for a moment until the silence is broken by the sound of the TARDIS engines beginning to fire up. In that moment you make a split second decision and before you realise what you're doing you race out through the door.
âY/N!â Graham yells.Â
You turn back to look at the fam.Â
âIâm sorryâ you say before slamming the door and holding it shut until it, and the sound of the fam on the other side, fades away.Â
You lean your head against the wall where the door once was and stay there for a few moments as the reality of what youâve just done sinks in. The Doctor is going to be so mad at you.Â
âYou really shouldnât have done thatâÂ
You spin around to see The Master glaring at you.Â
âI am going to enjoy killing youâÂ
â â â âÂ
The Master drags you outside to where his fleet of Cybermasters are stood waiting next to a huge ship. You try and shake yourself free from his arms but his grip tightens.
âOh no, I am not letting you go this timeâ he growls before pulling out a device from his pocket and holding it up to his lips. He presses a button and as he speaks you hear his voice echo through the whole planet.Â
âDoooooctooooooorrrrrâŚâ he sings âoh Doctorrrrrr. Come out come out wherever you are. I have something that belongs to you. Or should I say someoneâÂ
He holds the device to your mouth âDon't be shy, say hello to dear old mummyâ
âDon't listen to him, stay where you are!â You shout through the mic and he pulls it away from you, letting out a frustrated huff.
âOh she is like you isnât she Doctor, annoyingly heroic.â He laughs âwell if you want to see your little offspring again, I suggest you get here soon. Iâm getting rather fed up of herâ
He turns off the device and puts it back in his pocket.
âWhy do you doing this? What happened to you to make you so full of hate?â
âI found out the truth. About who she is and subsequently who I am and I cannot BEAR it!â The eye contact heâs holding with you is almost unbearable, you can see the rage, hate and also hurt in him. You're relieved when he finally looks away and gestures to the Cybermasters around you. âThey lied about all of it. All our lives, they pretended we were special, but weâre not. Weâre just, experiments created by them from her! But oh how the tables have turned. Now they are MY experiments, created by ME! And together, weâre going to take over the universeâ
âNot if I stop youâ The Doctor says as she appears from inside the spaceship and walks down the ramp towards you. She looks at you and you can tell sheâs angry that you are here instead of on the TARDIS. You give her your best âim sorryâ face.
âWhat makes you think you can stop me Doctor? You are nothing compared to me and my army!â
âMaybe not. Unless I had a weapon. A weapon I hoped Iâd never have to use. A weapon that can wipe out all life on this planet. A weapon I just installed in your shipâ
âIf you detonate it you will die too. You and herâ he shakes you and you wince slightly at the roughness.
âThatâs why I am giving you one last chance. One final opportunity to do the right thing. Stop all of this now and deactivate your soldiersâ she pleads with him and for a moment you think heâs actually considering it. But then he laughs and gets out a gun, holding it to your head.
âYou donât get to give me the ultimatum here Doctor. I am the one with the power, not you! I am the one whoâs giving you a choice. Give me the detonator control, and I will let her live. Disobey me and Iâll shoot her now. And this is no ordinary gun. This gun makes death as slow and excruciatingly painful as possible. I made it myself, another one of my fun inventions.â
The Doctor looks at you and for the first time you can see real fear in her eyes. You shake your head slightly, trying to signal to her not to take the deal, but The Master grabs your face harshly, his fingers digging into your cheeks.Â
âSheâs scared Doctor, I can feel her shaking and hear her little hearts beating so fast. Do you really want to watch her die? Give me the controlâ
âDonât-â you start to say but he squeezes your face even harder, making you hiss in pain. Tears fill your eyes.Â
The Doctor takes the control out and holds it in view. She takes slow, careful steps towards you both until sheâs close enough.Â
âPut the gun away firstâ she says and he just laughs âput it away or Iâll activate the weapon nowâÂ
âDon't you trust me Doctor?âÂ
âNot really noâ she replies bluntly
âFineâ he huffs and slowly puts the gun away
âLet her goâ
âIâm not stupid Doctor but I am getting bored of this. Give me the control before I kill both of youâ
She holds the control out and slowly pushes it closer to him until his hand is on it. Then suddenly she grabs you and pulls you from his grasp as the device in his hand starts bleeping. He looks at it then up at her in disbelief.Â
âYouâŚâ he says as he realises that she just set off the detonator. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out the gun once again at the same time as The Doctor reaches into hers and pulls out a small bronze key. It glows and you hear the sound of the TARDIS. Then in a blur of action the Master points his gun at the Doctor and fires but you jump in front of the her, pushing her out the way. She grabs you as she falls, pulling you down with her. You see the green ray from the gun heading towards you and squeeze your eyes shut as you brace yourself for the impact-
-but it never comes.Â
You open your eyes again to find you and the Doctor are lying in a heap on the floor inside the TARDIS. She sits up so your head is resting on her legs, and you look up at her confused.Â
âWhen will you learn to not jump in front of me when someone fires a gun?â She says before smiling at you âare you okay?âÂ
You sit up and check yourself before nodding at her, still in shock that you're not currently dead.
âGood, because you are in so much trouble!â She stands up and goes to the control panel âWhy- WHY can you not just do what I say?! I told you to let me handle that alone. Not to follow me. Not to get yourself caught.â She rants at you and you carefully stand up, hugging your arms across yourself âYou could have died Y/N! For real this time! Do you understand how close you came to not being here anymore-â
Suddenly all the emotions hit you at once and you break down. Tears flood your face as you bring your hand up to your mouth to try stop the sobs that are escaping. Your whole body is shaking with post shock adrenaline and The Doctor immediately stops messing with buttons on the control and hugs you tightly into her chest. She doesnât say anything, she just lets you get it all out.Â
After a few minutes you finally calm down enough to talk.Â
âIâm so sorryâ you say quietly âI just couldnât bear the thought of you facing him and all those Cybermasters alone. I had to do something⌠but all I did was make things worse. I let you downâ
The Doctor sighs and pulls away to look at you.
âYou didnât make things worse Y/N. Just, slightly more complicatedâ she lets out a small laugh as she wipes leftover tears off your cheek âand you didnât let me down either. What you did was incredibly stupid, but also brave. I meant what I said back on the other TARDIS, I am so proud of you.â
âDonât make me cry againâ you laugh as you turn your attention to the monitor and the view of Gallifrey âI still don't understand what happened⌠one minute The Master was shooting at us, the next we were hereâ
âI used the key to summon the TARDIS and it materialised around us just in time.â The Doctor explains
âSo that was your plan all along? Why didnât you just tell us?â
âBecause I wasnât 100% sure it would work. It takes a lot of power to summon the TARDIS like that, I canât do it very often. Plus sheâs not always reliableâÂ
The TARDIS makes a strange groaning noise and you let out a small laugh. You swear it responds to her.Â
âBut what about the Master?â You ask
âThe weapon detonated so every living thing on Gallifrey is dead. Iâve done a scan of the planet, no life signs.â She looks at the screen, a brief wave of sadness washes over her.Â
âIâm sorryâŚâ you say, placing your hand on hers.
âThey were already deadâ she says as she turns to look at you before taking a deep breath and smiling âRight! Time to pick up the famâ
âWhere did the other TARDIS take them?â You ask and she looks at you blankly.
âI don't actually knowâŚâ
âYou don't know where they are!â You burst out laughing, shaking your head.
âTheyâre somewhere in the 21st century! Weâll find themâŚâ
She takes your hand and places it on the lever.
ââŚtogetherâÂ
You both pull down and the TARDIS engines fire up once again, taking you on another adventure.Â
The Doctor and her daughter.

What a Human Deserves
13 x fem!Reader
Word count: 3.6k
The TARDIS felt very quiet with just you and the Doctor there. The rest of the fam all decided to take some time to be with their family and friends for the day, which left just the two of you on a solo trip. Although, you had your suspicions that Yaz, Ryan and Graham had another motivation for leaving you alone with the DoctorâŚ
You thought you were discreet with your crush on the time lord, but apparently you werenât. One time, Ryan had caught you staring at the Doctor while she was piloting the ship, and he hadnât stopped teasing you since. And ever since then, every time your gaze lingered on the blonde, or you bit your lip while she talked, or got flustered when she stood close to you, one of your three friends would rag on you for it. Thankfully, the Doctor seemed not to notice. Or if she did, she didnât say anything. You werenât sure if you were grateful for that or not.
âYou ready?â her voice broke you out of your thoughts. The Doctor stood at the controls with her hand on the main lever.
âReady,â you smiled at her and you felt your heart jump when she smiled back. The way her blonde hair framed her beautiful face made her look like the sun. You watched as your brow furrowed as she focused on the lever and switches. And with no one around to poke fun, your thoughts drifted off into your own little fantasy land.
You didnât even notice that the TARDIS had landed until the Doctorâs face suddenly appeared right in front of you. Her face was just inches from yours as she spoke your name.
You jumped as you brought yourself back to the present, âSorry, what did you say?â You tried to keep your face from blushing.
She couldnât help a soft chuckle, âI said weâre here,â she took you by your hand, âCome on, letâs see where we ended up!â
This was something new; the Doctor never took your hand like that unless she was pulling you out of a dangerous situation. You tried not to think too much into it as you let her lead you out of the blue box and onto an alien planet.
The planet was absolutely beautiful. It was night, and the first thing you noticed was that there were two moons in the sky. The extra light made the planet much brighter than Earth was at nighttime, and all you could see was blue tinted mountains along with some lakes and rivers. There didnât seem to be anyone around and you and the Doctor took a few minutes to take in the surroundings.
âItâs beautiful,â your voice was no louder than a whisper. You were so entranced by the planet that you didnât notice the time lord stare at you. The look on her face mirrored the look you had when you looked at her. If only you noticed.
It was then at you realized she was still holding your hand. Your breath caught in your throat as you tensed suddenly. âSorry,â you mumbled as you pulled away and shuffled in embarrassment.
The Doctor didnât say anything, but she was amused at your behavior. It was nice for her to not be the only awkward person in the room. âCare to explore a bit?â she offered.
With a nod, you followed her over one of the hills toward what looked like an abandoned settlement. She scanned the area with her sonic and explained that you were in the far future on a planet not too far out from the solar system. It looked like there was once a mining colony, and you guessed that this was once a big and thriving city. Now, all the stood was ruins save for one large building in the center of the ghost town.
It was that building that the Doctor led you to. She resisted the urge to take your hand again, and opted just to stay close to you. There was something about this place that gave her a bad feeling, and that feeling only grew as you got closer to the large structure. This place looked different than the rest of the planet: like it was the only place where something still lived.
Yours and the Doctorâs footsteps and conversation were the only sounds in the entire town. As you got to the entrance of the large building, she perked up with curiosity and bolted around the room. You watched with admiration as she inspected the dormant technology and the architecture.
âIâve never seen anything like this before,â she said with wonder in her voice as she practically bounced around the room.
You lingered in the doorway and watched her with what you were sure was a stupid smile. But you didnât care, the others werenât here to tease you right now. The room was grand and made mostly of some type of stone. In the moonlight it almost sparkled, and the way the light reflected against the time lord made her look ethereal.
The floors had some type of design on it: overlapping circles and star-like shapes decorated the entire space except for the first few feet at the entrance. Something about it tugged at your own curiosity and you took a few steps into the room to check it out.
That is when the atmosphere in the room completely changed.
As soon as you reached where the designs started, the room shook as if it started to come alive. The Doctor quickly spun around and looked at you in fear. Not fear for her own life though, but for yours. She shouted out your name as she tried to rush over to you. But she was too late. The floor underneath you shifted and pulled you down as you screamed. It was as if the solid floor suddenly turned into quicksand for a few moments to pull you down before it turned solid again.
She reached you just a second too late and you were gone. The time lord landed on the floor and yelled your name again. Panicked, she scanned with her sonic for any trace of you.
Nothing.
Her breath became ragged as the room started to come to life around her. Large 8-foot-tall creatures with silver and blue skin seemed to emerge from the walls and surrounded the time lord. They had human-like features but they looked like they were made out of stone. The Doctor got to her feet to meet with the planet natives, and she hoped that you were ok.
âWho are you to trespass here with a human?â one asked in a deep voice. He seemed to be the leader.
The blonde collected herself, ready to bargain for your life, âWeâre just travelers. Just passing through,â she kept her voice level. They didnât immediately attack, so maybe they could be reasoned with. âWhere is my companion?â
The leader snarled, âThe human is on the other side of the planet by now. And my best hunter is preparing to track her down and kill her.â Anger lined his words, but there was also a hint of sadness and hurt there as well.
Right now, the Doctorâs main focus was to save you. Once you were safe, then she could work with this species and get at the underlying reason for their behavior. âI supposed thereâs no possibility you could just let me take her and we go on our way is there?â
He seemed offended at the question, âAbsolutely not. The human must die, as is the punishment for any human to step foot on this planet, in these halls.â
She thought for a moment. There had to be a way around this. Then, she came up with an idea. âHow about a race then?â she offered.
The leader cocked an eyebrow, âA race?â
Good, she got his interest, âYes,â she paced around to address everyone in the room, âMe against your best hunter. I win, we leave this planet and I make sure no humans ever come here again. I promise you that.â
Murmurs ran through the small crowd before they turned to their leader for his decision. âVery well,â he said after several minutes. âIf my hunter gets to her first, however, she dies. This is my bargain.â
âFine,â she gritted her teeth. She didnât like this at all, but there was no other choice. The crowd parted to let her through, and the Doctor ran as fast as she could. âHang on,â she whispered your name to herself, âIâm coming for you,â Iâm not going to let anything happen to you, she added in her head.
Meanwhile, you regained consciousness after the fall knocked you out and found yourself at the bottom of a large pit. Your head pounded as you tried to push yourself up. The task proved harder than you expected, and you looked down and realized that your hands were bound together in front of you by a heavy chain. The chain was connected to the floor, and there wasnât much slack so your movement was very limited. Slowly, you were able to get yourself into a standing position. That is when you noticed you were being watched.
âItâs useless to try to escape, human,â the guard was one of the natives of the planet, and he carried multiple weapons on him. You also could make out some kind of communication device on his hand. Obviously, these people were very technologically advanced. That was probably why they were able to hide themselves so well, but you wondered why they would have to hide on their own planet.
You rubbed your temples to try and calm your head, âI believe you,â was all you said in response. You let out a heavy sigh as you wondered what happened to the Doctor. You hoped she was ok. âDo you mind if I ask your name?â you turned up to him.
He seemed caught off guard. The guard hesitated before he answered you, âNeygan,â he finally answered.
You gave him a little wave from your bound hands as you told him your name, âSo Neygan, what is all this? Why did the floor suck me in like that? Why am I chained up at the bottom of a pit? Where is the Doctor?â The questions helped to keep your mind from completely panicking. You figured the worst you could do in the moment was annoy him; itâs not like your situation could get any worse.
He did seem annoyed, but he also seemed curious as well. So, he indulged your questions to an extent. âHumans are forbidden on this planet, especially in the royal palace,â his tone was bitter as he spoke, âIâm here to guard you until the winner of the race gets here. Which will be our champion, not yourâŚDoctor.â
âRace?â
He sighed, âYourâŚâ he couldnât come up with what to call her, âFriend. She challenged our best hunter to a race to get to you. She wins, you can leave. She loses, we get to watch you die,â the way he ended his explanation sounded like an unspoken âwhich is what you deserve.â
Your heart caught in your chest. The Doctor was willing to risk everything to race across an alien planet to save your life. Tears threatened your eyes from the emotions that filled you, but you fought them back. The last thing you wanted in that moment was for this guy to think you were weak.
The guard looked at you, clearly confused as he studied your reactions. He stayed silent, however.
After you collected yourself, you broke the silence. You couldnât let your mind get away from you. âIs this the first time youâve talked to a human?â you asked.
Neygan tried to ignore you, but for some reason he felt compelled to answer. âYes,â was all he said.
You shifted to sit down on the ground. The chains were starting to get too heavy for you to hold up. âHey,â your voice was soft, the question on your mind wasnât an easy one but it was one that you felt needed to be asked, âWhy do you hate humans so much? Did something happen?â
That sparked a fresh wave of anger in him as he snapped back at you, âDid something happen?!â he repeated your words in a mocking tone that made you flinch, âEverything happened! We offered peace and trade to humans, and they took everything from us! They stripped our land bare when they realized how valuable the minerals were! They hunted us for sport! Humans are cruel creatures that do not deserve to live!â the ground almost trembled with his bellowing shout.
Terrified, you curled yourself up as your shook from his words. You felt as if he beat you with his words alone. You buried your head in your arms as you listened to his deep breaths of anger. After a few minutes, he seemed to calm himself down and you slowly uncurled yourself to look up at him. It was then you saw the sadness in his face, and guilt overtook you.
âIâm really sorry,â you spoke in such a soft voice that you werenât sure if he heard you. You watched him for a moment and saw him slowly drop his shoulders before he looked you directly in the eyes for the first time.
The anger in his eyes faded, and it seemed like you and the alien came to a wordless understanding. âI have to admit, youâre not what I expected,â he said.
You gave him a soft smile, and it looked like he was about to give you one in return when his communicator beeped. His face dropped as he turned his back to you to answer. You scrambled to your feet in an attempt to listen, but you couldnât hear anything. When he turned back around, his face was unreadable. He raised his arm to activate a remote switch and told you, âIâve never said this to a human before, but I truly am sorry,â before he pushed the button and the pit you were in started to fill up with water.
You gasped as you nervously looked around for a way out. You tried to pull the chains and tried to climb out of the pit, but it was no use. The water filled the space quickly and before you knew it, the water was already at your knees. You looked up at Neygan desperately, but his face was stoic. You let out a scream as your whole body shook in panic.
Over the sound of the rushing water, you thought you heard a familiar voice call your name. You looked up from the water, which was now at your waist, and shouted back, âDoctor?!â
The sound of your name again confirmed it was her. You called for her again and hoped that she would find you before the water completely engulfed you.
Tired and out of breath, the Doctor ran as fast as she could. She dove head first through all the obstacles the planet threw at her in order to reach you. Sweat lined her brow and her legs threatened to give out in exhaustion, but she pushed through it. She didnât want to think about what would happen if she didnât reach you in time. She managed to stay a step ahead of her opponent throughout the race, and she was so close now. In the distance, she could see the one who guarded you in your pit, and she sprinted towards him.
Her thoughts were only on you as her hearts pounded in her chest: Iâm coming, Iâm almost there. Just hang on.
By the time she reached the top of the pit, the only part of you that wasnât underwater was the top of your head. She locked eyes with yours before they too disappeared under the water. The Doctor wasted no time and quickly shed her coat off before she dove in after you. The pit wasnât too deep and she reached you quickly. You were barely awake, and you were struggling to hold your breath.
She cupped your face to reassure you before she pulled her sonic out of her pants pocket. A onceover on the chain was all it took to unlock them, and she grabbed you tightly to pull you up to the surface. She gasped and grunted as she pulled your now unconscious body out of the water and onto dry land.
âCome on, wake up,â she pleaded with you as she started compressions on your chest. Her hands shook with fear as she chanted your name and begged you to wake up.
It was only a few seconds, but to the time lord, it felt like forever until you woke up with a cough. She dropped her head and sighed in relief as you opened your eyes.
âDoctor,â you whispered as a weak smile grew on your face.
She held back tears of relief as she cupped your cheek, âYouâre ok. Itâs ok,â she sounded out of breath, but she still gathered her strength to help you up. She grabbed her coat and wrapped it around you once you were steady on your feet.
The hunter ran up to you then, followed by the leader and a few others from the palace. The Doctor swiftly pushed you behind her and shielded you with her body. âItâs over,â she told them, âI got to her first fair and square. Now you let her go and I promise no humans will ever bother you again.â She spoke to them with authority as she fiercely protected you.
The group looked disappointed as they turned to their leader. He definitely looked angry and disappointed that his champion didnât win, but he was a man of his word. âVery well,â he said, âBut just know, human,â he addressed you directly, âYou donât deserve to leave this planet.â
That angered the Doctor, âHow do you know that? You donât know anything about her, and yet you decided she deserves to die! What is your grudge against humans anyway?â
Before the leader could snap back, you intervened, âWait!â you slid around to place yourself next to the Doctor. She looked at you with concern, but you squeezed her hand in silent reassurance. âYouâre right,â you started but paused when everyone let out a gasp, âI know why you hate humans so much, and honestly I canât blame you. Humans have done terrible things, even to our own people,â you scoffed before you continued, âI know none of this is personally my fault, but if we donât start to take responsibility, nothing will change. So, for what itâs worth: Iâm sorry.â
The natives all looked shocked and had no idea what to do. The leader took in your words before he waved you and the Doctor off, âJust get out of here.â
Before she turned to leave, the Doctor added, âYou have my word. No humans will bother you again,â and with your hand still in hers, she led you back to the TARDIS.
âAre you alright?â the Doctor frantically checked you over once you were safely inside the ship.
You answered in a shaky voice, âIâm fine,â you looked up to meet her eyes and it almost didnât register how close she was to you. The control room was silent for a minute as neither of you knew what to say next.
It was the Doctor who broke the silence, âYouâre wrong you know.â
âWhat?â
âAbout what humans deserve,â she clarified, âSure, there are humans who hurt and destroy like you said. But you donât give yourself enough credit. Humans are amazing, wonderful people who are capable of so much good,â she looked at you tenderly before she cupped her hand on the side of your face, âAnd one of my favorite people in the entire universe is a human.â
Your eyes went wide as your breath caught in your chest. You could feel your heart pounding and you were sure you were blushing hard.
She then added, âAnd all I want to do right now is kiss my favorite person,â she bit her lip as her eyes glanced down at your lips, âIf thatâs ok.â
You swallowed hard before you answered, âThen why donât you?â you wrapped your arms around her waist and pulled her against your body.
With your blessing, the Doctor placed her soft lips on yours in a sweet kiss. She wrapped her arms around you and held you tightly, as if she was afraid to lose you. You immediately deepened the kiss and parted your lips so that her tongue could enter your mouth and dance with yours. The control room glowed a warm amber as you and the Doctor shared your first kiss.
You reluctantly broke away for air, but stayed locked in the Doctorâs arms. The feeling of her wrapped tightly around you couldnât compare to anything else, and you never wanted this moment to end. Both of you broke out into a soft laughter as the rough events of the day melted away and all that mattered was each other.
âWait here a sec,â the Doctor seemed to remember something as she ran to the console. She explained as she worked that she was setting up a barrier on the planet so humans wouldnât find it. Then she set a course for home, âShall we get back to the fam?â she asked as she held out her hand.
With a smile, you happily took it. âI have the feeling someone is winning a bet when we get back,â you nuzzled against her as you both burst into laughter and headed home.

Doctor Who Review: 12x11/ 13x00Â âRevolution of the Daleksâ preamble
I think I should make clear, before I go into the episode, my opinion on Chibberâs and Whittakerâs era of the show as a whole. I personally donât enjoy reviews of people with wildly different opinions on media to me, as it doesnât give me an indication of whether or not I will enjoy what they are talking about. If you, the reader, are like me in that sense, feel free to use this as an indication of whether or not you want to read the review I will be putting up after the episode airs
tl;dr: I thought Seires 11 was pretty bad, and Series 12 was pretty good
Starting with series 11; on my first viewing, I enjoyed it as a spectacle, but in hindsight my opinion has soured. I didnât particularly enjoy any of the characters, and as character arcs are what get me invested in a story, this was a big issue. The doctor was well acted with what she was given, and she had a good handle on the post-regeneration zany-ness in episode one, but past that she just... stayed like that. She definitely had the doctorâs eccentricity, but none of the authority or sense of having lived a very long time, and having seen som shit. Overall, I found her rather one-note and boring.
As for companions, there were definitely too many for an introductory series. I was mildly invested in Ryan and Grahamâs schtick, but not nearly enough to carry the seires. And while Yaz had potential, that potential was never realised, especially in Series 11, where she was really just taking up space.
In terms of individual episodes, while I enjoyed a couple (Demons of the Punjab and Kerblam, especially), most of them were fine at best, and dreadful at worst
So, if I were to rank Series 11, I would either put it dead last or second last to Series 7, depending on the day. Needless to say, I didnât have high hopes going into Series 12
So, I was pleasantly surprised with the big jump up in quality when it rolled around. While some episodes were still pretty bad, and it was still plagued with Chibbsâs crappy dialogue writing, there were some episodes (The Nikola Tesla episode and The Haunting of Villa Diodati spring to mind) that I would definitely go out of my way to rewatch, which is more than I can say for Series 11. While it wasnât one of my favourite series (those being 10, 6, 5 and 4), itâs definitely somewhere in the middle. It was in the right trajectory.
However, there are still some big issues. Now their arcs have concluded, there is no reason for Ryan and Graham to be there. Ryan does absolutely nothing all series, and while Graham is supposed to be comic relief, his style of humour isnât hitting the way itâs meant to, for me. While they were starting to utilize Yaz, and I enjoyed the little bits of her we got, she keeps being pushed to the side by Ryan and Graham, which is annoying, as I find her a more interesting companion than the other two combined.
And with the Doctor, while, again, theyâre going in the right direction, itâs not quite there. She feels a lot more doctor-y this time round, and sheâs given more to do (side note, I loved Sacha Dhawanâs master, I really hope we get more of him). However her disposition kept seeming to flip flop, from seeing her home planet destroyed in episode 2, to happy bouncy âletâs go to the spa!â in episode 3. There really needs to me more consistency, but, again, it is a massive step up, and Iâm looking forward to her in particular in series 13 (not that I particularly liked The Timeless Children, but I do think the fallout from that will be enjoyable to watch).
Hopes for the episode:
Ryan and Graham leave the show - whether through dying or just leaving, I donât really care. I know there have been a lot of reports about them leaving, but Iâm not getting my hopes up until I see it happen
They focus on Yaz and The Doctor more than everyone else - if the reports are true, Yaz is going to be the only remaining companion left after this episode. As a result we need more of a sense of how she operates. Weâve gotten hints, but we need more, especially since sheâs been around for two series. As for the Doctor, weâve yet to have an extended period of time where she is by herself. And that sort of thing would be a great way to explore where the doctor is at right now - remember âHeaven Sentâ? The Doctor, by himself for a whole episode, and it was the shit! Iâm hoping for that sort of thing, though obviously not for the whole episode. And on that note:
The Doctor doesnât get saved until near the end of the episode - What a waste of a great situation that would be
They donât screw over Jack again - seriously, what was the point of him showing up in 12x05? I was as happy to see him as anyone, but he didnât really do anything except foreshadow, and he was characterised as a walking caricature. Jack is a great character - treat him as such, Chibbs!
They donât dwell on the political bullshit - When I saw the Trump ripoff was back in the trailer, I groaned out loud. Why, Chibbs? If they spend more time on politics than absolutely necessary, I will be mad. Chibbs is dreadful at political commentary, and why he keeps doing it I have have no idea
With that being said, I am quietly hopeful for tonight. See you all in a few hours!

itâs been three days and i still have a lot of Opinions about the new episode of dw, so iâm posting to get all this spam out. some of these thoughts i havenât already seen in the dw tag? doesnât mean theyâre not out there, i havenât checked the tag comprehensively, but i just want to add my 2c worth. obviously MASSIVE spoilers for spyfall part 1, so iâm putting this under the cut so i donât disturb anyone who a) somehow hasnât seen it and b) doesnât have spoilers blacklisted
aight here we are chums weâre back with good old-fashioned nu!who feel--i loved the last series, but this came crashing back with a confident, punchy opening very much with the feel of nu!who, and i am So on board this is all gonna be about The Reveal because as we all know, i am rather obsessed with the master
firstly! the reveal itself was handled so well! for five main reasons: 1. we werenât expecting to see the master so soon after apparent permadeath, even though we all knew the master was gonna come back, general feeling was that theyâd give it a bit more time 2. it was a big reveal at the start of the series, not at the end of an arc with lots of teaser glimpses, where in all the speculation the masterâs name is inevitably brought up 3. to scab an idea from a good pal, o wasnât batshit insane. missy clearly was from day dot, as was razor, but o was this very normal, mild MI6 nerd who seemed plain ol average. 4. the master has changed genders before, but never race, so that may have set up unconscious bias/expectations, which were clearly thwarted 5. they kept such a tight lid on leaks and spoilers (unlike the return of simm!master) so all of these combined for a genuinely blindsiding reveal which i Loved
speaking of! thank you sacha dhawan for that incredible acting, oh my god such a switch-flip moment, he goes from nice background character to chewing the scenery and his delivery! ohhhhh my god jâadore 13 (in mounting dread): ...ohhhh o (excitedly): that--thatâs my name! and that is why i chose it! so satisfying satisfying for me too, my boy, me too âor should i say spy... masterâ fuck âyou canât beâ / âi can be. and i very much amâ and then the fuckign âcall me masterâ chills, genuine chills (lol grahamâs quiet, incredulous âcall you what?â is amazing) his fuckin nose crinkle??? i think something happens with his hair as well, canât pinpoint the moment even with several rewatches, but his hair goes from being very off his face to falling in his eyes, and gives him this manic cast which is oh-so-appropriate the return of the tce! so happy to see it in the new series, love me a good shrinky dink and the way he so casually tosses the matchbox aside heâs clearly very evil in this, and iâm hoping that wonât destroy missyâs character arc. current theory is that heâs post-simm, pre-missy (as possibly evidenced by the drumming in the preview? but unsure). definitely some callbacks to harold saxon tho, that trying to drive a subtle wedge between graham and the doctor with the whole âhow well do you really know her?â thing is such a saxon move, and you could see it peeping through when he said that ânobody would create such a detailed legend,â yaz replied with âbut itâs not impossible,â and his look was just. studiously blank which reminds me, his acting when he goes inside the tardis??? a gift, a treasure i choose to believe that âridiculousâ is his genuine comment on the decor, just as i choose to believe that the doctorâs suit pants started life as normal-length suit pants, but she cut the bottoms off herself to suit her style as has been pointed out in a million other meta posts, 13 is running from her past, and this new master is going to force her to confront it, which is a plot point i am so so keen for also, did anyone else pick up that his first words as the master were âgot me. well done.â and his last words were âgot you. finally.â he sees it as a constant game of one-upmanship, and as a spectator? bring it on
and not to be That Person but iâm going to be That Person thatâs right folks itâs detailed character analysis time because there are two moments in that scene where the master is waiting for the doctor to catch up the first is the reveal, and heâs loving every moment of it. itâs not blood that runs through his veins, itâs dramatic bitch juice. heâs crafted this deception perfectly, heâs maintained it for literal years (âi met o! years ago!â /Â âi Know!!â), and it wasnât meant to be seen through until the time he chose to reveal himself, even though he canât help himself from giving a few little hints, playing games to see how much he can sneak under the radar. and when he reveals himself, he delights in the few moments of confusion before the doctor realises how clever heâs been conversely, the bit with the bomb itâs another switch-flip moment, all his excitement and giddiness and goofiness is drawn aside for a few seconds to reveal this burning core of anger âno! do you really think that i would not make it sonic proof, doctor? come on!â heâs properly angry there, because he didnât think he had to explain himself, he expected her to have got it already to quote tRoS, theyâre a dyad, theyâre the only two people in the universe who really understand each other they understand each other, and they expect to be understood, on such a fundamental level and heâs angry because he expected her to know him. she disappointed him in that moment. fuck i just love their dynamic so much??? as friends, as enemies, as some ungodly combination of both
all in all this is just a long way of saying i loved spyfall, i loved the final five minutes in particular, and iâm so so keen for the next ep to see how some of my questions get resolved (also VOR better stand for something otherwise i was sniggering all ep at completely unnecessary vore references and thatâs just disappointing)

Doctor Who Tag Game
Tagged by: @thirteenstardisfam thank youu and i am so sorry it is so super long lmao i did not mean too, but somehow ended up with it, and also i think i will make fandom hate me for some stuff about 11, but i love him! donât you dare to think otherwise :âD
im tagging: @tennant @luke-skywalker @panlyra @stupidape @buffyrosenbergs @expelliarmus idk who of you whovians wanna do it out there feel free to say i tagged you and go on ;)
Favourite Doctor: still Ten, i love 12 and 13 almost as much, even if not harder atm, but if it comes to choosing 1 fav doctor then itâs always Ten, so far no one stepped higher for me :âD I loved his era, i loved so many episodes with him, his season arcs, his companions, his relationships with everyone, and this is the only Doctor whose regeneration was smooth for me, he was continuation of Ninth Doctor and it felt like that. I was not like âbut he is so different in so many waysâ nope, never. Maybe itâs because companions were the same, everyone was still around which was great btw, and I fell in love with the show with Tenth Doctor, dare I say that I stopped watching back then when Matt Smitt became doctor? lmao, must be shock for some but yes, I dropped this show because of THAT lmao??now i laugh at my own self but yeah, i did. whereâs everyone, why it feels so different? that was huge nope. Only years later I got back into it, thanks to amazing Michelle Gomez. Actually I was not even going to watch other doctors at that moment, but I watched episodes only with Missy, then i said well itâs not bad I like it and Missy and Twelve were?? OOOF LOVES OF MY LIFE FOR SURE because their relationship were so cool and of course i loved it, so i started a huge rewatch, the first since i dropped the show. Fell in love with Doctor/Master all over again, Ten was as amazing as I remembered, Nine was perfect and I love him too!!! and then... i got to s5... oh god, i was like, letâs give him a chance, what do i lose? but it still felt so weird, and the show was so different, and suddenly everyone else is so important but where are old characters? but i got into it because i have already seen some of 12â˛s episodes and i got used to the style?? i guess. and then River appeared, not because of her but around episode 5 or 6 i was into it already, not as much as i was before but anyway, maybe weeping angels helped because i loved them and it reminded me of Ten, i felt some kind of a connection to old doctor. I liked River with 10, i thought i will like her with 11 too... but alas, still felt like you know those boys who have never had sex but try to act like they know everything about it and hit on every moving thing and think they do it cool? :D i am sorry if i hurt someoneâs feelings with it, but thatâs how 11 was for me back then, and while I do understand river/11 itâs the least of all river ships for me, 11 is still the least fav doctor because of those feelings i had back then when i stopped watching, they are not rational i know that now but still feel them, but i love him now, and will protect that kid at all costs! i love ponds, i will kill if anyone says anything bad about Rory Williams! and Amy and Rory? quoting my favorite star trek couple? DUDE WE GO TOGETHER OR NOT AT ALL!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! and even if i was not into all river/11 relationship i loved the story, and of course i liked 12, but s8 still feels like what the hell for me, not because of the doctor but because they tried so hard to show clara as bossy, i mean, i liked her with 11 and then suddenly they turn her into some control freak, it was not so MUCH with 11... but i know now why they did it, so Missyâs words have an effect and all. but still, i love clara before and after s8 :âD s9 clara? i will kill for her too. itâs too long but idk :âD and actually, this shows that if you give it a chance even if you donât like actor/actress at first - you might love the show ;) so stop acting like jodie is miscast honestly, i am ready to fight anyone for saying that :D say whatever you want about plot choices, but do not fucking act like itâs Jodieâs fault! actors are not responsible for show runner choices. She acts amazing with the material she has. anyway, 10 is my fav idiot!
Favourite Master: Missy, always was and always shall be. My favorite character in general in the show, no one tops my girl!
Favourite Sonic: honestly? i donât really remember any sonic but 12â˛s glasses :D so... glasses. I mean, i donât really care how it looks like, it does its job... most of the time lmao, but i liked those glasses and the thing with browser history was my fav :D
Favourite Companion: oh itâs soooo hard!!! either Donna or Bill. I canât choose. but yeah, those are both with whom there were no âromanticâ relationship implied, i love friends more than couples. and I just loved 10 and Donna as a team and Bill and 12, i still wish they had more time. also Martha, the smartest companion lol she was amazing.
Favourite Story: anything involving The Master :D all episodes with them are my favs, but i canât just pick one story, i still remember the first episode i watched back when it was airing and are you my mummy stuck in my head for the rest of my life giving me brrrr feeling, like it was not scary but somehow made me super uncomfortable? also vashta nerada?? duuuuude, you canât just look at the shadow the same way. and ten/river together were really great, i mean, he did not know who is she, the mystery, i love shit like that?? yeesss!!!!! there are so many great ones. I donât want to choose.
Favourite Soundtrack: that unreleased tiny melody when the master dies in the last of the time lords T--T and this is gallifrey and claraâs theme! those are my favs. and I also really like 11â˛s theme, kinda ready for adventures and doing some weird but funny shit :D
Dream Actor for next Doctor: ooooof OOOOF dude! you know what, usually it is one actor for 3 seasons, thatâs how it was for the last 3 doctors, i want Jodie to break that rule and stay with us for 4th season as well, i just want to see how pissed off those haters will be lmao i really really think the entire timeless child thing will not feel the same with someone else yet, and i donât think they will reveal much in 13th season, thatâs HUGE thing, or they should make it so good and the next doctor... aaah i donât want to feel that change again, like i did with 10 to 11, and felt with the every next doctor, but i overcome that shit and just give them a chance, itâs the doctor after all and im sure loving all of them now. not sure it can disappoint me even if most of plot choices in the season are ... weak. idk who, there are so many great actors but whoever i choose will not be as great as someone they choose, because they always somehow cast amazing people, but i agree with emily itâs time for a doctor of color! tho, they canât go back to white male actor right now, i just can imagine how it will look like, with all the hate Jodie received and how people still whine about female doctor, it will look like they tried and decided to go back to white male doctors, one half will be happy but the other one will eat them alive! so yeah, i am pretty sure itâs not gonna be white man again yet lol
Dream Composer: idk
Dream Story: well, considering 13 is in jail now, i would love to see someone âwe knowâ rescuing her, because honestly if they just showed me jack and left it like that, i will not accept it!!! but also since yaz will be the only one left with the doctor, since bradley and tosin leave the show, i hope we will have some yaz and doctor relationship development without anyone else, maybe jack could stay because i love him, but jackâs presence did not hurt doctor and rose relationship development back then, so it should not hurt now also. but if they bring someone new, at least donât make it right away, let yaz and 13 have an adventure at least 1 episode, some talk and stuff. so when yaz leaves also... (and i kind of had that stupid feeling that yaz will die in the end, because somehow everything hints on that for me? idk maybe itâs because i rewatched and giffed orphan 55 today and vilma (?) telling yaz to run and stay alive kinda felt like something that hints on yazâs future... and yaz is always going somewhere without thinking, to random alien ship, to save the doctor, she steps into trouble like a doctor hoping everything will somehow be ok, but im not even sure she hopes, itâs more like i am as good as her so i can do it, not in claraâs way when everything hinted she is like the doctor, because letâs be honest she was and even got her own tardis, but she thinks she is, but she is not, i think some day that might end bad for her... so when she also leaves i donât want it be like well yeah, whatâs next? i mean, i still miss Bill, that was like NOOOOOO with tears and screams for me, i loved Bill! and we had 2 seasons with yaz and i still donât feel the same connection to any of the current companions atm, so i would like the show to make me love them more, i do love them, just not as much as those i still miss, but im sure defending any of them lmao i love them anyway. you know what i mean...
A Companion Youâd like to see back:Â oh OH. we cant bring them back for entire season right? but doctor can meet Donna at some point, which will have no point lmao cos she doesnât remember and it will only hurt doctor and i donât see how her appearance will help any plot, it will be just fanservice cameo. But Bill is out there with Heather, they are powerful creatures now, i think it could somehow fit into the story, I want Bill back. But also, Clara is still one heartbeat away from death, she can be out there, and she has tardis. tiny cameos will be fine for me :D and Martha, but also Madam Vastra and Jenny, Kate and Osgood, where they are??? bring them back and it can make sense, their appearances. I mean, imagine someone from UNIT in s11, not unit itself but osgood??? it would feel so much different.Â
An Enemy/Alien/Creature youâd like to see again: weeping angels!!!! OOOF they were creepy, and i love them, like, DONâT BLINK!!! how can you not blink for so long? that is cool, i want them back. and also the most beautiful shots are always with angels so... :âD
If you could travel with one of the Doctors, which Doctor and why?:Â oooh, while 10 is my fav, and I totally would hit on 13 :D i will choose 12, 12 from season 10, because he was such a grandpa, no lovey dovey stuff, he would lecture me on thing i do, give me new info about something, we would explore shit together and he would be like a grandpa i never had. We would definitely have long discussions about stuff and have good laugh together and i would make references to movies and then we would watch those movies :D i would act like Bill lmao yess i want to travel with 12!!!

13 x Reader: Home
Notes: Wow this took forever! Itâs entirely too long but hopefully still an enjoyable read; I couldnât find a good way to split it up. I really enjoyed this request and itâs been stewing in my mind for a WHILE, which is where most of my first drafts are usually written. I have another one or two fics planned that will probably also be around this length (or longer), but Iâm really focusing on making the majority of my requests more concise. lmao weâll see. This is also gender neutral for the reader!! Yay! As always requests are open so long as you understand that Iâm slooooow Summary [anon request]: Could please you do an OT3 fic with Thirteen/Reader/Yaz, (Ryan can be there too but as a friend) where they just finished a really messed up adventure and they all have to reassure each other they're ok and it's all fluffy and maybe some angst? Warnings: None WC: 5500 oops
It hadnât hit you, not at first. There hadnât been time initially; there so rarely ever was. Not when there was so much going on, so much to do. And even after, when you had slammed shut the doors of the TARDIS and left the planet behind, you were still riding the wave of exhilaration. It was that particular brand of adrenaline utterly unique to traveling with the Doctor, and it kept your mind focused on moving forwards, with nothing more distant than the here and now. It was glorious, chaotic, intoxicating. It was survival. It kept the awareness of even bodily injuries from distracting you, because it didnât matter that you couldnât make a fist with your left hand, or that Yazâs shirt was more blood than anything else, or that the Doctor could only draw in measured, shallow breaths. The only thing that mattered was the next step, the next breath drawn, the next moment unfolded. Surviving. And when you had survived, when you leaned panting against the doors of the TARDIS and watched while the Doctor flew around the console, her hands a blur and her voice a continuous counterpart of conversation to the groaning of the timeship as it took flight away, away from there- that was when the wave was at its peak. It flooded you with triumph and coloured everything golden, bright. It was a sort of pride that said yes, we did it, another adventure completed, another win. So no, it didnât hit you right away, the impact of what you had just seen. What you had just done. The choices you had made, the consequences you had watched unfold. It wasnât till you stood swaying in the console room and watched as the Doctor and Yaz moved away that you started to feel it. To understand. Horror trickled through you, slowly at first, but building. Between one breath and the next, it was a flood. Your face felt cold even as your injured arm began to burn, and you couldnât stop remembering, couldnât stop seeing, not even when you closed your eyes- And then, nothing. Your mind had carefully and firmly blanked. At some point you had ended up in your room, sitting on the floor. You werenât sure if that was by choice or not. It didnât matter. You sat and stared at nothing, safer by far than closing your eyes. Your wounded arm was not exactly numb; you were aware of the pain. It just didnât touch you. (You were also aware, distantly, that you should probably have followed Yaz and the Doctor to the medbay, but you hadnât. Had just stood there, alone in the gently humming console, until your feet moved on their own, took you away.) It was Yaz who eventually found you, sitting against your bed with your knees drawn to your chest. She might have spoken to you, or she might not have. It was only when you realized that you were warmer and turned your head that you noticed her, settled down next to you on the floor. You shook your head slightly; you got the impression that you werenât keeping track of time in an entirely coherent manner. You blinked slowly, realized belatedly that Yaz had said something. âWhat?â âI donât want to be alone,â Yaz repeated, and paused. âDo you?â The words were raw, scraped too thinly over exhaustion and pain to be in any way gentle. But they were for all that kind. Kind, and sincere. Because they were coming from Yaz. What she said, she meant. âNo,â you whispered, and leaned your head against her shoulder. Your hand found its way into hers without conscious effort or choice, or perhaps it was her hand that found yours. You both sat that way for a while, with clutching hands and distant eyes. You were still in a conflicting state of numb fog mixed intermittently with flashes of horror, but it was easier with Yaz there. Or if not easier, at least⌠better. She had seen the same things, had made the same choices, was living with the same memories. Eventually, a separate thought floated to the top of your mind, and you mumbled it into Yazâs shoulder: âWhatâs the Doctor doing?â âWondering why her friends are hiding on a floor, and not in the medbay where theyâre supposed to be.â You felt Yaz jump, and you lifted your head, looking over the edge of your bed to see the Doctor framed in the doorway. Yaz leaned around the edge of the bed to look for herself, then settled back against you with a released breath. âShe really loves making a dramatic entrance,â Yaz muttered, and despite everything, your lips twitched in an approximation of a smile. It was true. âI heard that,â the Doctor said as she moved into the room. Her boots appeared in your field of vision, followed abruptly by the rest of her as she crouched down in front of you and Yaz. You blinked, focusing on her face and noting idly how her ear-cuff glinted in the dim light as she turned her head from you to Yaz. Her lips were pressed into a thin line, and her eyes were narrowed. She looked worried. Tired. âYou didnât follow us to the medbay,â the Doctor said, and you realized that she was looking at you again. âWerenât you hit by one of those blasters?â Her tone was neutral, but her eyes were flickering with a restless, almost angry tension as they moved down. You looked down as well. âI- didnât think about it,â you said truthfully, looking blankly at your left arm. You felt Yaz move. âThat looks bad,â she said, and the genuine concern in her voice reached you even through your hazy disinterest. âItâs not, but it does need tending,â the Doctor said, though she was looking at your face as she spoke, not your wound. âI didnât think about it,â you repeated, your voice hollow. Something in the Doctorâs expression shifted, and you struggled to elaborate. You wanted to appease that look in the Doctorâs eyes, but it was hard to find words when emotions themselves eluded you. âI just- I- I didnât-â you were trying to articulate, but you could feel those emotions (your pain, your memories) welling up in your chest, in your throat, and they were choking you. Yaz tightened her grip on your hand, and the Doctorâs expression shifted again. âHey, alright, itâs fine, you donât need to explain-â she began, soothingly, but the memories were still rising, building, and something had to give, something had to give. â- and I canât- if I try- I canât make it stop-â âCanât make what stop-â âTheyâre⌠even when I- I close my eyes and I- I see it all again, again and again-â you shuddered and fell silent as you choked on your own words. Yaz was also silent, but tears were running slowly down her cheeks and her own gaze was glazed and distant with remembered horrors. The Doctorâs lips had parted slightly, but as her gaze moved from you to Yaz and she saw the tears, her lips flattened again, pressed tight over words she did not say. They were present in her eyes, though. The Doctor was tired, hurting, and now she was angry too. Angry for the pain she saw in her companions, for the damage done. But her voice when she spoke was absent of that anger. She was good at that, at misdirection. Only her eyes ever betrayed her true self when she let her guard slip. But you werenât looking at her eyes, or anything else. Nothing in that room, anyways. âOh,â the Doctor said softly, âoh, my poor fam. Come here, you lot.â Leaning forwards, she pulled you both towards her and into an embrace. You closed your eyes as your face pressed up against the fabric of the Doctorâs coat and inhaled the familiar scent (vanilla, with hints of machinery and something else, something distinctly her). You could feel Yaz next to you, your hands still entwined. It was an awkward, precarious embrace, huddled as you were on the floor and with only four good arms to go around for the three of you. Yes, it was awkward. It was also suddenly as necessary to you as air, as the next drawn breath. You shuddered again as the Doctor spoke, her voice still gentle and absent of the storm that lurked in her eyes. âIâm sorry you had to see that,â she murmured, her head bent over you and Yaz. Her own eyes slid closed, and you could hear the exhaustion in her voice, the way it rasped slightly. She had taken damage too, you remembered.  Anger stirred in you, a sharp jab that pushed away some of your numb fog. You lifted your injured arm and wrapped it painfully around the Doctor, holding her to you as tightly as you could. âAre- you okay?â you asked the Doctor, your voice muffled by her shirt and coat. The Doctor made a quiet sound, something not quite a word, and you felt her shift, pulling you more fully into her arms while her head bent closer over yours, her nose resting in your hair. You could feel her heartbeats against your own chest, and unconsciously you began to match your breathing to hers. âOh, yeah. You know me, Iâm the king of okay.â The words were almost (almost) convincing, falling breezily from the Doctorâs mouth with what was close to her normal light, irreverent tone. Close. She obviously heard the discrepancy too, and cleared her throat. âHave you seen anything like that before?â Yaz asked. âHave you- done that-â she trailed off bleakly, and the Doctor was silent for a few moments. âIâve been traveling for a long time,â she said finally, quietly. âIâve seen the worst of the universe, in so many forms and species. Death and famine and war and senseless, needless cruelty, selfishness and fearâŚâ her arms tightened around you and Yaz as she spoke. âBut Iâve seen the best of the universe too. People who leap to protect others without even a thought, who stand in front of those in need and go above and beyond to make the universe a better, kinder place.â She pressed a soft kiss to your head, then did the same to Yaz. âDoes it get easier?â Yaz asked. âHaving to see the- the worst bits?â Again, the Doctor was silent, and this time the moment stretched just a little bit too long. âCome on then,â she said, and she had layered her words with that breezy cheerfulness again, avoiding Yazâs question. âEnough moping around on the floor. How about some tea? I love tea-â she was moving as she spoke, extricating herself from the embrace and standing. She helped up Yaz, then held out a hand to you. You started to reach up with your injured arm, then dropped it with a wince and proffered your other hand. âMmm,â the Doctor said as she pulled you up, her eyes sharp on your bad arm. âBut before tea, you need patched up.â She had kept a grip on your arm, eyed it critically while moving it gently back and forth. You blinked slowly. The presence of Yaz and the Doctor (and the touch of their skin on yours) was an anchor, but you were still drifting as your mind tried to shield you. To forget. âIâll start the tea,â Yaz said, wiping surreptitiously at her cheeks. The Doctorâs eyes moved to her briefly and her expression softened, though she did not comment, only nodded. The three of you left, Yaz vanishing in the direction of the kitchen while you trailed after the Doctor (who couldnât seem to make herself walk slowly to save her life) into the medbay. It didnât take particularly long to clean and bandage your arm (the wound was largely superficial, if painful) and soon you and the Doctor joined Yaz in the kitchen. True to her word, Yaz had started the tea, and when you came in it was to the sight of her straining to reach some mugs, her face tight with frustration and pain. âI got it,â the Doctor said, stepping forwards quickly. For someone who was by the most generous of estimates barely an inch taller than Yaz, the Doctor nonetheless rarely missed an opportunity to flex her superior height. You rather suspected that Ryan and Graham had begun storing items in higher and higher places, and for precisely that reason. (You were for example sure that the coat hook in the console room had been stealthily and consistently adjusted until it was several inches higher, and counting. One of these days the Doctor was going to try to hang up her coat and find herself to reach, and then⌠well, you werenât sure what would happen but you doubted popcorn would be out of place.) Youâd been meaning to broach the topic with Yaz and brainstorm possible counter attacks against Ryan and Grahamâs mischief⌠perhaps the TARDIS could be wheedled into lowering the door frames? You accepted a mug of tea automatically from Yaz, your gaze distant as your thoughts pieced themselves together sluggishly, disjointed. Ryan and Graham⌠you looked up suddenly, and met the eyes of the Doctor. Sheâd been watching you, and there was a crease next to her left brow. âAre you- are- Ryan and Graham?â you said haltingly, not sure why the words were so reluctant to form. âYeah, we should probably be picking them back up soon?â Yaz said, though her tone made it into a question as she too looked at the Doctor. âYou know how Graham gets,â she added with a faint smile. âRight you are,â the Doctor agreed, setting down her tea. Her eyes flicked between you and Yaz, and her lips pressed together again over more unspoken words. âIâll just be a mo,â she said, and slipped away. A vacuum of silence was left in her wake, and you and Yaz looked at each other. The memories seemed somehow brighter, more real in that ringing silence. As if they filled the room with a swelling, tangible presence and left no room for you and Yaz. She must have felt it too, because after a moment she stepped to your side, and her free hand found yours again. Not long after the familiar groaning wheeze of the TARDIS filtered into the room, followed by a brief silence and then muffled voices, growing louder. You had one of those sudden painfully clear thoughts that cut so sharply through the fog, and realized that you were not prepared to talk to Ryan and Graham. Yazâs grip on your hand was suddenly tight, or perhaps it was your grip on hers. You clung to each other, silent in solidarity and apprehension. The voices grew louder, then suddenly muted as another voice spoke over them. It was the Doctor, and though you couldnât hear her actual words, you could hear the cautionary tone of her voice. There followed a few more exchanges, more subdued, and then a brief silence. When the Doctor stepped back into the room, she was alone. She lifted a hand and brushed hair out of her eyes as she approached you and Yaz. Though her face was drawn tight with exhaustion, her eyes were as sharp as ever as they focused on the two of you, and she noted immediately the way you were clutching each other with pale, wan faces. âOh,â she said, and there was something so deeply, painfully sad in that one quiet word that you felt as if it shivered in the air, in your heart. You were too raw for it, and closed your eyes- no! You opened them again, afraid of what you saw when you closed them, when you shut out the distractions of the world, when you let yourself still and think and- There was a tug on your hand. You blinked, and realized that the Doctor had grasped Yazâs other hand and was pulling her away, and you with them. You followed as they moved to the library. Partially because following was easier than resisting, but mostly because when all else failed, you had that, had them. You would follow those two women into anything. âWeâve got tea and biscuits,â the Doctor said, sitting down on a sofa next to Yaz. You had just settled on Yazâs other side when the Doctor had snapped her fingers and leapt back to her feet. âI know! A fire, we should have a fire. Thatâs proper cozy, just what we need.â She took off her coat and tossed it over the arm of the sofa before moving to crouch in front of the fireplace. She muttered all-but inaudibly to herself for a few moments as she poked around (you thought you heard a flippant âthis should be fineâ which didnât inspire an awful lot of confidence). A few experimental buzzes on the sonic however produced a very respectable fire indeed, and one that didnât seem too likely to burn down the room. âThere,â the Doctor said in a satisfied voice, rocking back on her heels and dusting off her hands. âCozy.â She placed her hands on her knees and glanced briefly over her shoulder at you and Yaz. Her hair had fallen across her face again, and strands of it were limned in gold by the light of the fire. You stared at her, crouched, disheveled, tired, shadowed. Yet she glowed. She glowed. She caught your eye and smiled, pushing some of her hair out of her face. âYouâre going to stay with us?â Yaz asked, moving over as the Doctor resettled herself on the couch between you and her. ââCourse,â the Doctor said easily, leaning back against the cushions and crossing her legs. She reached out and grasped one of Yazâs hands, then yours. Her fingers curled gently around yours and she gave a soft squeeze. âFor a bit, anyway. I think we should be together after⌠after that. And,â she added, an attempt at sternness as she looked between you, âthis seems better than huddling on a floor.â The sternness was somewhat undercut by the way she squeezed your hand again, however. You leaned your head against her shoulder, staring sightlessly into the fire. On your other side Yaz copied you, and the Doctor made a quiet sound, dropping quick kiss on Yazâs head, and then yours. âMy fam,â she said softly. âIâve got you.â âWeâve got each other,â Yaz corrected, and you nodded in agreement, feeling the Doctorâs hair brush across your face. âRight,â the Doctor said, and her voice sounded odd. She cleared her throat. âDo you⌠want to talk about it?â  Your breath seized. The shard of bright, unflinching memory pierced your fog, tore it to shreds like damp paper. You stiffened, clutching convulsively at the Doctorâs hand and turning your face into her shoulder, away from the light. Your chest had tightened at the thought of- at the thought- and your arm jerked as it gave a sullen pulse of pain, as if the conversation had woken it. âOr⌠maybe we just talk, about any old thing,â the Doctor continued. She was looking down at you, and for a moment the reflected firelight was nothing compared to the fire in her eyes. You couldnât see that, though. You could just feel her warmth against you, and her gentle hand around yours. Yes, it was only her eyes that ever betrayed her. âThat sounds good,â you heard Yaz say faintly. So thatâs what you did, the three of you. You talked. Mostly the Doctor, spinning stories of past adventures and regenerations and friends. The stories often brought up more questions than than they resolved, but that was okay. You had long since accustomed yourself to the Doctorâs whimsical and rapid-fire method of speaking, the way she blended the ordinary and extraordinary with effortless, capricious casualty. She was youthful and brilliant; she was ancient and utterly mad. She was both the raging storm and the anchor that kept you safe, and as she spun her stories in that quiet room you felt your mind finally begin to quiet. Not all the way, not even close, but⌠a veneer of normalcy crept over you, and you relaxed. Eventually, impossibly, you fell asleep. You hadnât wanted to, knowing what youâd see when you closed your eyes with nothing left to confront but yourself. Those thoughts, those memories. But you werenât alone, and the Doctorâs familiar voice (along with her presence, and Yazâs) slowly suffused you with enough peace that your mind quieted. And with the quiet came, blessedly, sleep. Your head was in the Doctorâs lap at that point. She had draped an arm over your side, and the gentle circles made by her fingers had been a countermelody to her voice, another anchor. At some point Yaz drifted off as well. She had moved to the floor (she said she liked her feet toasty, though the Doctor suspected that in truth her shoulder was aching) and dozed with her back against the sofa and her head just touching yours as it rested against the Doctorâs thigh. The Doctor stopped talking, eventually. But she did not sleep. If you had been awake, if you had seen the fire reflected in her ancient, solemn gaze, you might have wondered if she too was afraid of what she would see behind closed eyes. So there was silence for a long time. Until- âHow are they doing?â The Doctor looked away slowly from the hearth to look at Ryan. She gave him a tired smile as he lurked in the doorway; his posture was worried, unsure. But at her smile the young man stepped farther into the room, his gaze moving between you and Yaz. The Doctor followed his gaze, her eyes fixing on Yaz in the flickering firelight. Yaz always managed to look worried when she slept, so that at least wasnât new. But the Doctor felt that the policewomanâs face was more stark, the skin more tightly drawn over her bones than normal⌠and the heavy bandaging on her shoulder didnât do much to help dispel the image. The Doctorâs gaze moved to the side, followed slowly by her head and her hair fell partially across her face as she looked down at her other sleeping companion. You. It was less normal for you to look so harried, so upset when sleeping, and the Doctorâs eyes might have tightened as she stared. But her hand that rested on your side remained soft, gentle. Protective. âI donât know,â she answered finally, and even she could hear how tired her voice sounded. How helpless. âNot worse.â âThatâs something, then,â Ryan said, though his tone lacked conviction. The Doctor looked up at him and managed another tired smile. There was no joy or happiness in it, but there was genuine appreciation for Ryan and his kindness. âYes, it is.â âIf you want a break or anything, I can sit with them-â âNo.â Guttural, low, raw. The word was an instinctive reaction that left no time or room for softening, and even the Doctor was startled when it left her lips. Just one word, but it had been torn from a primal place of raised hackles, bared teeth, flashing eyes. âNo,â she repeated, more gently. âIâve got this.â Her voice was still ever so polite, and it didnât match her eyes even a little bit. Ryan nodded cautiously, his eyes moving from the Doctorâs left hand (which had moved to cup your head, fingers splayed as if to shield) to her right (which had dropped to Yazâs un-bandaged shoulder). The gestures were small, but there was nothing subtle about them, and Ryan was wise enough not to push. Not when he saw the cracks in the Doctorâs composure, confined though they were to her eyes (and to that one devastating word). For someone normally so open and upfront with her emotions⌠it was more alarming than if she had shouted. Those bared fangs and flashing eyes lurked just beneath the surface of her familiarity, a familiarity which suddenly seemed so thin, so insubstantially draped over the ancient, feral thing that she truly was. Ryan had to remind himself again that this person, this friend of his, was not human. But she was his friend, and he did not fear her. So he nodded again, and he did what friends do. He offered his help once more, even in the face of her pain and rejection. âWell, if you do need anything, Graham and I are around, okay?â âIâll keep it in mind,â the Doctor said, and the wildness had receded from her eyes as she watched him move to go. (Receded, yes, but it lurked. Always, it lurked.) âRyan-â he turned, looked at her, âthank you. Really.â Ryan nodded, because he heard the tacit apology, because he understood. He left the Doctor alone with you and Yaz, once again staring into the depths of the fire with unreadable eyes while her hands remained as they were, draped protectively over you both. Keeping you to her. When you woke a while later, for a moment you thought she had gone. Then you heard the soft sounds of murmured voices and stifled weeping. You opened your eyes slowly, forgetting for a moment where you were or why there was such a heavy, cold weight in your gut. Then you remembered. You lifted your head and blinked blearily. The fire had died down to sullen embers, and the light in the room was muted, somber. You realized eventually that you were looking at the back of the Doctorâs head, and she was sitting on the floor cross-legged next to Yaz. â-nothing to be ashamed of,â the Doctor was saying. Yaz wiped almost angrily at her face, and you realized she had been the source of weeping. âIâm not,â Yaz said, her voice low and miserable. âOr- well, maybe I am. I mean, I have training for this kind of thing. Trauma and violence, and that sort-â âTraining isnât meant to produce apathy,â the Doctor interrupted firmly. âTraining means you can still act and handle yourself in a tense situation, not that youâre unaffected by it, especially after.â âWell, yes but-â âAnd,â the Doctor continued, slightly louder, âI doubt training for the Sheffield police covers intergalactic warfare, hm? More parking tickets, fewer bio-morphic super-weapons, possibly?â Yaz smiled despite herself and ducked her head. âYou did brilliantly,â the Doctor added, quieter. âThat was-â she hesitated. âHorrible,â Yaz whispered, and the Doctor reached over, grabbed her hand. âYes.â There was a lengthy silence, and though you couldnât see the Doctorâs face, you could see when she took in a deep breath and tensed her shoulders before speaking again. âI can take you home,â the Time Lord said softly, as if the words didnât tear at her as they left her mouth. But even you could see how rigidly she held herself. âIf you want-â âNO!â The Doctor actually winced as you and Yaz both shouted at the same time, turning to look at you with a scrunched nose as you shoved yourself upright with your good arm. âNo,â you repeated. âAbsolutely not,â Yaz added, and despite the recent tears her voice was steady. The Doctor looked between the two of you. Her expression was serious, determined; she fully intended to take you and Yaz home if asked. But you could see the burgeoning hope in her eyes. The relief. âI canât promise that this is the last time,â she warned. âIt could happen again. It probably will. I would understand if you wanted to go home-â âWe said no,â Yaz interrupted. She was still holding the Doctorâs hand, and you slid stiffly off the sofa so that you could crouch on the Doctorâs other side and grab that hand too. âWe are home,â you said. You might have tilted your head, gestured at the room. But your eyes remained steady on the two women. Home. âBut-â âWe are home,â Yaz repeated, firmly. âWeâre a fam, right?â The Doctor was uncharacteristically silent as she looked from Yaz to you, then down at the chain made by your linked hands. You saw her throat move as she swallowed. You met Yazâs eyes, and then the two of you leaned over and enveloped the Doctor in an embrace. Your face rested somewhere between the Doctorâs neck and shoulder, and you could feel the delicate flutter of her pulse (as well as Yazâs hair tickling your nose). It wasnât even remotely comfortable, that embrace. You were all of you stiff (injured, exhausted) and your arms and legs met in a lumpy, disorganized, awkward jumble. And you wouldnât trade it for the world. Yours, or any of the others you and seen, any you had yet to see. This was home. The three of you remained that way for several quiet, fragile moments. Even the Doctor was silent, and you could feel the hitch in her breaths. It might have been from the smoke inhalation, from her injury⌠but you didnât think so. You could still feel her rapid pulse, could still feel her hand gripping yours so tightly. Could still remember the fear in her eyes when she spoke of leaving you... and the relief when you refused. Several moments of fragile silence, that stretched into the shadowed corners of the room and to the stars beyond. Then you felt the Doctor stiffen, as if remembering something. Her chest rose as words made their way to her mouth, and some sliver of premonition (or perhaps more accurately, past experiences) made your lips twitch into the beginnings of a smile before her words were fully formed. âHow do you lot keep ending up on the floor?! Thereâs furniture, proper furniture, and yet once again I find you like this- funny, is it?â the last words were delivered to Yaz, who had begun to giggle. It was infectious, and you began to as well, you face still pressed against the Doctorâs neck. âYou two started it,â you pointed out, your voice somewhat muffled. âNo, Yaz started it,â the Doctor said automatically, as if scoring a point. Yaz lifted her head and gave her a dirty look. âI- hey! Itâs not like either of you had to join me-â âBut you did start it,â you replied, giggling again in response to Yazâs indignant sputter. âThatâs- hang on, you started it! Back in your room!â âWell, then youâre both copy-cats who have no one to blame but yourselves,â you said loftily, and were rewarded when both women made sounds of outrage. It only made you laugh harder, especially when an exasperated Doctor tried in a grand gesture to stand up, but utterly failed to escape the tangled embrace. Eventually the noise attracted Ryan and Graham, who poked their heads cautiously into the room. The apprehension that had lined their faces shifted into confusion, and ended up somewhere between amusement and exasperation. âTheyâre mad,â Graham observed, absently taking a bite out of sandwich that Ryan didnât care to guess the contents of. Ryan was silent as he watched for a moment longer, taking in the gasping, arguing, laughing pile that was the three of you. Your arms were still entwined, and Yaz had her head thrown back against the couch as she giggled. The Doctor was still making an effort at standing (and was unsurprisingly in the midst of delivering what appeared to be a lecture, though it was largely undercut by the amused curve of her lips) but was thwarted, both by Yazâs entangled legs, and by her coat which had slipped off the soft to drape across all three of you- indeed, your face was completely covered by it, and Ryan could only hear muffled sounds of laughter and protest coming from beneath it. âReckon so,â he said finally. Graham noted with some surprise that he was smiling. âCâmon, letâs leave them be. Theyâll be fine.â And he was right.  It would take time, of course. All things do. But you all had each other. You were, after all, a fam. You would be fine. There was still so much of the universe to see.

I love how the Doctor is finally happy now, yet more than ever, we all want her to snap.
But that's the thing, we've gotten so used to a battle scarred Doctor, fresh from the emotional wounds of the Time War and destroying Gallifrey, that every one of us keeps on referring back to the Time War and how the Doctor is still, somehow, recovering from it. And yet, for the Doctor, that was well over a thousand years ago. Yes, some wounds resurfaced when 11 had to face the events of the Time War again and we saw that through 12. He was born out of war and anger and revenge, but throughout his entire arc, he grew kinder. Yes, he was still a grumpy old man by the end of series 10, but he was still kind.
Think about it, 12's last words were "Doctor, I let you go..." and as we all know, there's so much more meaning to those five words than expected. We all know it was not only Steven Moffat who was letting the Doctor go, it was also Peter Capaldi and of course, it was also the Doctor letting go as well. It was the Doctor letting go of all of the trauma and anger from the Time War, it was the Doctor starting fresh, literally renewing themselves. The Doctor has moved on since the Time War and Trenzalore, they've had time to grow and heal and now they're kind, as the Doctor told themselves "laugh hard, run fast, be kind."
We can really see 13 taking those words on. She's possibly the kindest Doctor yet and is staying true to her last words in her previous incarnation. Obviously she's still gonna have moments where her actions have been questionable and angry, we saw that throughout series 11, but she's finally happy and at peace with her past. This is why Chibnall creating new canon is so important.
The Doctor can have new things that would emotionally test her and there would be new monsters, new planets and new canon for us. However, as I think we all know, Chibnall didn't exactly hit the mark. If he wanted to start fresh and give Doctor Who new canon and start with an emotionally clean and happy Doctor, then he could have made this series more focused on the Doctor. He could have given her a character arc over series 11 and we could have seen more of her personality and what her limits really are, except we didn't and Chibnall didn't give the Doctor a character arc in her first series. The Doctor was pushed to the side as well as Yaz, which is unfortunate. The most character development that 13 got was in The Woman Who Fell To Earth and that's a given, but she's more or less the same in Resolution than she is in her first episode and I think that's one of the reasons series 11 is not being widely accepted by fans. Even me, someone who adores Jodie Whittaker and the 13th Doctor (this whole post isn't a slander on her btw, I love this fresh start for her, but like Yaz, she got no development, which is sad and disappointing), finds series 11 around average.
Are 3 companions too much? Not necessarily, but when you have 4 people taking centre stage for 10 episodes straight and each episode lasting around 50 minutes, there isn't going to be much room for character development. That's something I hope Chibnall realises for series 12 and maybe drops off a companion for an episode or two, or maybe (as we were all expecting to happen with Graham) drop off a companion for good. Doing that would give everyone a bit of development and gives them more room to develop as characters. Chibnall has hinted at Yaz's police job would come more into play in Series 12 and she would get more of a story and I'm super happy about that, Yaz needs it, but at the same time, I hope 13 isn't brushed off to the side again.
I'm still optimistic about series 12, but Chibnall, you need to give each character room for improvement and development. Make Yaz mess up, maybe leading to the Doctor maybe getting a little pissed off at her, or have the Doctor mess up and she has to face the consequences, just something, please. Team Tardis doesn't need any more hate than they're already getting and giving them decent stories and character development could do that.
#i know i'm one to talk about how the doctor is finally happy but i'm including myself in this post#i am guilty af of not letting the doctor move on and i've sort of realised that#but still#i wasn't looking at the effects of time war or whatever#but the doctors messed up morals#ah well#i'm just wanting the doctor and yaz to get some character development#they need it#doctor who#the 13th doctor#chris chibnall#dw series 11#dw series 12

Could you write about 13 & reader, something like both being really clueless about each others feelings even though there is some subtle hints & signs they might like each other, like caressing their hair gently and so on? Your writings are really good, keep up the good work! đź
Aww, thanks Anon. I hope you like this one.
You were laying with your head in the Doctorâs lap. You had a book propped open on your chest, your finger tracing over the edges of the page. Her hands were stroking over your hair, talking to Yaz in the armchair beside the two of you. You werenât listening, only the occasional word filtering through to your brain.
Graham had his nose buried in his own book and Ryan was playing around on his phone. You thought maybe he was playing a game from the noises the small device was making, but he was also laughing which made you wonder. Not enough to ask, but enough to occasionally glance over in annoyance.
The Doctor tapped you on the nose and you looked up at her. She was smiling down at you, all soft around the edges. Her eyes were sparkling in the warm lighting and you felt yourself melting. She tugged on a stand of your hair and you reached up a hand to wrap some of her hair around your finger.
âTea?â she asked.
âAre you asking me if I will make some, or if I want some?â you asked in return, booping her nose.
She scrunched her nose and tugged on your hair again. You rolled your eyes and sat up, knowing either way you would have to get up.
âIâll just make some, shall I?â you said, standing up. You tossed the book on the sofa with a roll of your eyes.
You walked out of the room, making your way to the closest kitchen. You put the kettle on, hauling yourself onto the counter to wait for the water to boil.
The Doctor wandered in, her hands in her pockets. You raised your brows at her. She shrugged and pulled open the cupboard, grabbing the pack of biscuits. She popped one in her mouth, giving you a crumbly smile. You patted the space beside you and she jumped up.
She offered you the biscuits and you took one, biting into it. She lent her head on your shoulder, watching the water beginning to boil. You rested your head against hers, squeezing her knee.
You hopped off the counter once the water was boiling. You reaching into the overhead cupboard, pulling down a couple of mugs.
âNo one else wanted tea?â you asked.
She shrugged, handing you two teabags. Her arms wrapped around your waist, her chin resting on your shoulder. You filled the mugs, leaning back into the Doctorâs hug. She handed you the milk and the sugar, her breath hitting your neck. You tried to suppress the shiver going down your spine. She gave you a last squeeze and took her mug from you.
You lent back on the counter, watching her take the first sip from her drink. She winced, putting it down on the counter. She stuffed another biscuit in her mouth and you rolled your eyes again.
âCome here,â you said.
She wandered over and you wrapped your arms around her, stroking over her back.
âToo hot?â you asked.
She nodded into your shoulder and you pressed a kiss to her temple. She buried her nose in your neck, inhaling long and slow.
âCome on,â you said, âwe better get back or the others will start talking.â
She withdrew from your arms, picking up her mug and the packet of biscuits. You followed behind with your own tea, trying not to spill it. She entered the library, offering the packet to Ryan. He absentmindedly took one. Graham looked up at the offer of food, grinning in thanks when he took one.
âYou made tea?â he asked, âwhy didnât you offer it to us then?â
You took your space on the sofa again, picking up your book. You opened it up to your place and began reading again. If the Doctor hadnât offered it to everyone else that wasnât your problem. The Doctor slumped down beside you, chomping down on another biscuit.
She rested her chin on your shoulder again, reading along with you. You turned your head to look at her. She was smiling at you, all cheeky and beautiful, but her eyes were soft. Your eyes flickered down to her lips as she caught a stray crumb at the corner of her mouth with her tongue and for a moment you forgot where you were.
âOh my god, just kiss,â Yaz shouted into what you had thought was silence.
You flushed, trying to draw away from the Doctor. She slid her arm around your shoulders, pulling you into her side. She kissed your cheek and took your book into her hand while you were distracted. You glared at Yaz. She rolled her eyes at you and stood up.
âWell if youâre going to clog the air with your sexual tension Iâm leaving,â she said.
She got up, and strode out of the room. You blushed again and buried your face in the Doctorâs shoulder. You didnât think you would ever come out again.
âHey,â the Doctor said, her voice soft and kind.
You looked up at her. She pressed a kiss to your forehead and you felt a little better.
âDonât let her get to you,â Graham said, âsheâs only trying to help.â
âHelp with what?â you asked, âkilling me with embarrassment?â
âWeâre friends,â the Doctor said, âdonât be embarrassed.â
âYeah,â you said, âfriends.â
You got up from the sofa and walked off, trying to ignore the roiling in your stomach. You shut your bedroom door, leaning back against it, trying not to feel sad about the thought that the Doctor only saw you as a friend. You hadnât excepted anything else, not with her.
A knock sounded on your door. You sighed and turned, opening it. The Doctor was standing there, her hands in her pockets, scuffing her boots on the floor. You opened the door wider, letting her in.
âIâm sorry if Yaz upset you,â she said.
âShe didnât upset me,â you replied, shrugging.
âSomething did,â she said.
You turned away, not wanting to admit to her what was going on. You couldnât understand how you could go from so feeling wonderful to being so upset. You hated it, the way she had such a hold over your emotions. You ran your fingers over the book on your bedside table. Youâd already finished it but hadnât brought it back to the library. You hadnât had time between everything else happening.
âTell me,â she said, taking your hand.
You turned back to her, noticing how sad she was. You took a deep breath and lurched forward, smashing your lip to hers. Her arm wrapped around your waist, her fingers tightening on your hand. She was kissing you back, all soft and spine tingling.
You drew away, her eyes still closed. You bit your lip, trying to figure out what was going through her head, sure you would never guess. She opened her eyes and your breath caught in your chest. No one had ever looked at you like that.
âI love you,â she said as if she couldnât hold it back anymore.
âGood,â you said, âbecause I love you too.â
âAre you still upset?â she asked.
You kissed her again in answer.

Things I want from Season 12,
An actual character arc for the Doctor. Jodieâs great and 13â˛s lovable as heck, but this entire season felt like nothing but an introduction to her personality and values, and I feel like there was room for more than just that. The Doctor never really felt like she was challenged, or like she was learning/changing/growing. The closest we got was in the Tsuranga Conundrum, where she was forced to acknowledge that she wasnât always in the right or didnât always know better than everyone else. I loved that. Especially after so many years of the Doctor being so, so self important. So for Season 12 letâs just take that and spin it into a whole proper character arc.
A character arc.. OR SOMETHING for Yaz. Everything between Ryan and Graham this season was great, Iâd even say it was the highlight of the season. But Yaz meanwhile didnât really seem to get much of anything to do. Even Demons of the Punjab was more her grandmotherâs story than hers. We know that Yaz is is capable, and brave, and kind, but I still feel like we barely know who she is. So for Season 12, letâs give her a character arc with the same quality as Ryan and Grahamâs. It can have to do with her family, or her job, or... anything. Just... ANYTHING. Please.
Better LGBT representation, I mean honestly. The representation in this season has been really groundbreaking for Doctor Who, but not so much when it comes to the portrayal of queer people. We got a woman with a dead wife. King James showing unreciprocated interest in Ryan while simultaneously being a huge piece of shit. And then to top it off, a guy who gets murdered literally seconds after he mentions having a boyfriend. That. Sucked. And Iâm going to be side-eying Chibnall for a very long time because of that. I mean my god, how simple would it have been to just make Mitch a woman or Lin a man and have them keep their romantic interest in each other? Itâs so easy to do better than this... So do better.
Time Lords, giveâme Time Lordsssss.I donât necessarily share a lot of peopleâs disappointment over the lack of familiar DW lore or aliens this season. I think the longer you keep a dalek or cyberman offscreen, the bigger of a deal it feels when one shows up. But I am so ready to see the Time Lords make a proper return. Moffat brought them back for better or worse, the Doctor knows how to find them, they know how to find the Doctor... so letâs just get to it. I really want to see how they fit into the universe and the Doctorâs life after everything thatâs happened, and I wouldnât mind seeing them reimagined in much the same way daleks were in Resolution.
Susan. This isnât really something I specifically wanted from Chibnallâs era of Doctor Who, itâs just something Iâve been wanting for a long time. Carole Ann Ford is still alive, and to not take advantage of that to bring Susan back and finally give the character some proper explanation and closure, seems so bizarre to me. But idk, maybe theyâre already working on that. Maybe Susan is this mysterious âTimeless Childâ that was hinted at. Who knows?
And lastly, let 13 reunite with River Song. This isnât really a serious desire or expectation on my part, itâs just something that would make me supremely happy.

The Woman Who Fell To Earth
Some thoughts. Under a cut for spoilers.
Ryan sort of smiles when he says âyou mean Grahamâ â heâd not completely bothered by the idea of him being grandad
Grahamâs adorable, trying to be supportive
Why do Graham and Grace have a train to take but not Ryan? Â Where does Ryan live, if not with them?
Weird alien things have been happening on Earth throughout Moffatâs run â why doesnât he know better?
A mechanic â he should meet Mickey
I like Grace- sheâs brave
âFam?â Â I love how she looks at Graham as if wondering if itâs proper terminology
Honestly, of all them, Iâm probably Graham. Â âNope, too weird â Iâm out of hereâ
LOVE the eyeroll
Let the five year old have the lights and sirens, Yaz
So they were good enough friends in primary school for his grandmother to know her?
I want chocolateâŚ
No initials?  Remind me what âTARDISâ meansâŚ
I would swear sheâs says the new nose is so âUNreliableâ⌠ no?  just me?
So Grahamâs unwillingly retired, eh?
Just give her some tea, Grace, sheâll be right as rain
Senses are difficult, Doc, we know
Never let the Doctor use your stuff, Ryan, first rule
I love that the Sinclairs are the first ones to chase the Doctor, thrilled. Â Yaz follows partially cause of her job training, Graham cause he doesnât want to be left behind. Â Plus, you know, his wife
DEFINITELY Graham
Interesting that itâs Yaz who keeps up with the Doctor
Shouldnât the signal origin have led to Mr Tentacles?
Did the Doctor just genuinely apologize, without prompting?
AND a thank you! Â All sincere!
Well, I suppose that vaguely explains the shape of the sonic. Â But I still see you, 13
I love her facial expressions so far. Â All of them. Â And the happy-go-lucky college-try approach
For someone who gets captured/locked up/tied up/generally incapacitated often, I would think having a knife might come in handy? Â Say, for ropes?
So itâs September?
Who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters! Â (Or Team TARDIS)
And itâs a good hobby, Doc, but⌠considering how often itâs gotten you killed⌠ might be time for a beach trip with fruity drinks and little umbrellas, yeah?
Kid, I think youâre about to learn thatâs not always a good thingâŚ
A grandchild just lost their grandparentâŚ
Graham and Grace are so cute
Itâs only been a couple of hours, but Yaz has the Doctorâs number. Â âIâve got a plan?â Â âReally?â Thereâs not a shred of belief there, lol
Oh, theyâre good. Donât start a panic, blame bureaucracy
How could he possibly hear her?
At least he took his hard hatâŚ
I like Grace â sheâs brave and righteous. Â I like Graham too â heâs terrified (so would I be) but he loves his wife, and heâs not going to let her go alone.
God bless this generation â and Google!
Step, jump⌠semantics
No way he was gonna make itâŚ
âThese legs definitely used to be longer!â
Wow; in the background, itâs is pouring, but no so on them
Recipe to make  ONE (1) Doctor: âBit of adrenaline, dash of outrage, and a hint of panicâ
DAMN RIGHT YOU ARE
When did you have time to transfer the bombs?
HOLD ON, HOLD ON HOLD- SHIT
Poor kid
At least she ditched the coatâŚ
Poor guy
Cancer - No wonder Graham was so sensitive about the âDNA bombsâ; heâs already lived through that
âMake them a part of who I amâ yeah no kidding â have you looked in a mirror yet? Â This has to be at least 2-3 days post-regeneration, right?
âSometimesâ?
