I think, for me, at least one of the biggest mildew is bones evidence is simply how their relationship is led be other people vs with byler it's all Mike and Will

Even in s1, we see Lucas and Dustin kinda not asking but telling Mike 'you have a crush on El' (not always in words but also gestures) which like friends will pick up on these things but it beginning that almost recurring theme of other people guiding mildew

In s2 there's really not any of that, Mike and Eleven's actions when she reappears and at the snowball are completely their own (minor fact that the snowball wouldn't have happened w/o Hopper letting her go, but like that doesn't really have to do with mildew)

And then it hits big in s3, Mike lies because of Hopper (and other ppl in the show begin to view mildew in a negative light, that they're skipping out on their friends and stuff), and then it's Max that prompts El to not call, it's Max that's holding El's hand throughout their relationship trouble, all while Lucas is holding Mike's hand through this (I also find it interesting that Mike is trying to find a gift for El which is nice but I think its pretty clear that her love language is words of affection but that's for another time), and even when they're fighting the mindflayer there's moments that Mike even looks towards Max for a hint of what to do, it's pretty clear that he doesn't know how to handle his and El's relationship and it's ups and downs

And then in s4, in his big monologue, he's prompted by Will, it's Will that reminds him he needs to say soemthing, again he's getting guidance from an outside source, and their 'from, Mike' fight is referred to by Mike as real, adultlike, like the one thing not caused by other people, is suddenly more adultlike as if he can't place blame on other people and because there's no one else involved, Mike doesn't know what to do (like Mike, hun, would you not consider having a fight in the rain and then like going to the edjs of the earth to apologize pretty adultlike?)

To compare that to byler:

In s1 it's Mike that's the one that disobeys Hopper, it's Mike that's willing to do anything for Will, it's Mike that cries and leaves his friends, mroe affected than anyone else at the sight of Will's body

In s2 he actually insists on bring the one to bring Will home, not letting anyone else do it, and it's Mike that literally sticks by Will the entirety of the season, Joyce isn't telling him to, Hopper isn't telling him to, but Mike will not leave his side

In s3 while the fight revolves around mildew a little bit, it's still a private fight, where maybe Lucas, who's inside cna hear it, but he isn't con screen, it's much more dramatic and emotional, and Mike, with no prompting from anyone at all, immediately goes to apologize

In s4 their fight, again, is a bit about mildew, but it turns into about Mike and Will, and surprise surprise Mike apologizes with zero prompting, going as far as to say that he was being an asshole

Idk man which one do u think is endgame? The one where they can deal with their relationship themselves or the one where literally everyone else is influencing it

clearing my conscience

ok so im crazy and i have to get this off my chest or else i'll go insane. today at work (i work at a snack bar) a girl asked for mozzarella sticks and so i put some down in the oil and accidentally left them in for too long, so some of the cheese came out, but they were still pretty much in shape. the girl who ordered wanted them in a cardboard box so i put them in a box without a boat because i thought that's what she wanted. i gave them to her, asked if she wanted more sauce, she said no, and quickly walked back to the line to help the rush. the girl comes back a few minutes later and i guess (i didn't see/hear this part) she was unsatisfied. she complained to my boss's sister (yikes) about it and boss's sister comes up to me with the order saying, "did YOU give this to her?" she didn't sound mad but i could tell that she thought i was stupid and was a little bit pissed. (i am new and thus stupid in all my coworkers' eyes.) anyway boss's sister told me to put them in a boat anyway next time and remade the order and gave it back to the girl. boss's sister says "so sorry about that, thank you for bringing them back" YIKES. i felt really bad. listen, i fully acknowledge that it was my fault. but i gotta get this off my chest. i have a right to be angry, right? it's not the girl's fault it's mine, but still, i gotta get it out this girl must have been about 14/15 and usually teenagers that age aren't picky customers. had it been me at that age i would have just taken them. (maybe her mom told her to take them back, i don't know) but whatever i guess this girl/her mom was a snot. and like, what the fuck do you THINK is inside mozzarella sticks, anyways? what else besides cheese? the cheese is going to come out anyways when you eat them so what the fuck is the problem? god. i hate work, like in general, not this place in particular. i also hate being new. i fuck up at least 5 times a day. i dread it like i've never dreaded anything before. i'd express my hatred for capitalism but my friends would call me a socialist. it is a lot better than my last job and the people are nicer and some of them are from my hometown. this really wasn't a big deal lol this turned out to be a lot longer than it was. also i hate the looks that people give their food when i give it to them. utter disappointment, even when i get the order right. even little KIDS do that. oh and also i think ive been giving change wrong but don't worry i wrote it down so my boss will know ahaha fuck my life sorry mozzarella girl you deserve much better than my service fuck my fucking life i work tomorrow and the day after goodbyye

Dream Job: As of now, I am a certified nursing assistant (CNA) but when I graduate from high school, I want to go to med school and become either a nurse practitioner, surgeon, or a physical therapist wither a minor in astronomy or physics.
