unclear. last night i stayed up and finished a report worth 25% of my grade at about 5am, arrived on time for my 9am lecture, and spent about half of it zoned out while thinking about seventeen year old emilie agreste. and i was one of the most active participants in the class discussion
#in some ways it IS the move to go to grad school right out of undergrad#because your body can still sort of operate like a college kid#i’m on about 3ish hours of sleep rn and this morning it felt SO over but now i’ve eaten something and we’re so back#i also don’t really do caffeine. except sometimes i’ll go get one of those panera death lemonades#i might be able to snag a short nap before work#but anyway about seventeen year old emilie. i was thinking abt how she was in that movie solitude and adrien said she was seventeen#WAIT. NO. i think it's pretty genius how st3 satirizes the american dream and how its constraints inadvertently caused the downfall of hawkins but some of you aren't ready to hear that
#listen. s3 was not a perfect season. but frankly neither were the other 3#if s3 had had the normal and expected color palette like the other 3 seasons i think a lot of the hate it got wouldve been lessened#“s3 is pro capitalism and pro america!!!” no it's really not. it's purposefully bathing itself in those bright “american” colors to make fun#-of the american traditions and dreams that are constraining hawkins as a whole but also like. our main characters.#-and we see this with karen trying to cheat on her husband. hopper being a dick because el is growing up. mike being an asshole. etc.#also. s3 is a standalone season whereas the first and last seasons are paralleled to one another. so yes s3 is going to look a little#-different because of that. it was the turning point in the story.#anyway. i have more to say abt this but if i wrote it all down it wouldn't fit in 1 post#hope i don't get sniped for this but whateverrr#stranger things#bee.txt

i wish i could get normal sleepy like you read about in books where people just slowly get more tired as it gets later and then go to bed and fall asleep. instead i only experience Worse Sleepy, where i get slammed by an utter wave of dizzy exhaustion 3 times a day at random, during which i am capable of falling asleep within 10 minutes, but outside these (which last about 15 min each) i go RIGHT back to being either Awake or Awake But Shaking. and if i try to fall asleep in either of those states instead it takes me over an hour.
#i just had one of the waves but its 8pm!!!! thats too early!!!#if i go to sleep now (which also. is a RACE to get in place before it ends) i will just wake up at 1am forever whcih is worse#SIGH#i always think having a 2-3 hour sleep night like i did last ngiht will cure me but 90% of the time it just means more Shaking#not even more Sleepy#which is CHEATING on the universes part i think#anyway gonna treat myself to bedtime ibuprofen tonight and im hype about it#this is what makes an exciting night in ur 30s kids#ramblings#i usually get a wave between 1-4 which is the devils nap siren call and must NOT be answered#and one between like 5-8pm which is too early to be useful#THEN NOTHING TIL 4AM#then im so tired between 6-11am every day no matter what#thank u dspd

#it's NICE to be back#things i did this lent:#tried to observe lent#school#saw live music last week! it was fun#hung out with friends over spring break#got into one piece and yes that is still ongoing so there MAY be posts about idiot anime pirates in the future#and in the past couple weeks (somewhat because of the last tag) rejoined the christian tumblr discord#...which DID feel like cheating on the Giving Up Social Media intent of giving up tumblr#but on the other hand i initially stopped hanging out there by accident/too much Life Stuff getting in my way#and i think being back there is good for me so i'm not gonna worry too much about the lent aspect :P#oh!! and my new tiny writing group with other people from my english program#is turning out to be good for pushing me toward writing (or at least getting excited about writing) some of my stuff that isn't fic#and on Easter AND Easter Monday we get to visit with family :)

i know there’s a case to be made for daring suffering some character flanderization in his later appearances, but i like to think the break up with lizzie was just THAT bad.

the reason I didn't do long distance w danish guy and became "close friends" instead is because it was so perfect and beautiful I didnt want to ruin the romantic aspect by exhausting it online with no hope of reuniting permanently but then that backfired lol like it's so crystallised in its original state it makes it hard to vilify anyone involved or have any ugly thoughts about it :| I need these stuff to move onnnn tho

i love when a rina moment randomly pops in my head because i just feel so at peace, happy and content. we really won that against every off. and against the fans of two more popular ships that constantly invalidated rina and us. all we had was s2 delusions and tim’s vague words. trusting a showrunner is terrifying because 90% of the time they managed to mess up something and i can say rina is the first tv ship that didn’t disappoint me at all.
