#the odyssey #odysseus #non mdzs #Worse part of this is that this isn't even the first time he's seen this movie.#I don't think I captured the sheer genuine confusion and distress when the Nobody gambit came up.#Mans had his world upheaved for a moment. Know the risks when you blaze it I suppose.#My dad has great taste in films and I can always count on him recommending something really unique.#We've been going through various Odyssey adaptations and I must say; Odyssey (1997) is a good one.#Telemachus is appropriately a moody and emotional (crybaby) teen boy.#Hermes is the twinkiest little fruit I have every seen. No exaggeration. It is truly a sight to bear witness to.#Athena is sadly a weak point. And while the olive tree is constantly drawn attention to...there's no wedding bed gambit.#Penelope fans will really enjoy how she has lots of good scenes. Her plight runs parallel through the whole movie!#The scene with Anticlea on the beach particularly stands out. 'You'are my mother! You're my father! You are my strength!'#She's losing everything and everyone important to her. She has no control in her life or her home.#All she can do is wait and keep her head high despite the rising waters. God I love her.#All in all; I highly recommend this one as another good adaptation. It rearranges and cuts out some scenes but hits the mark overall.

I have this feeling that someone isn't actually going to go to bed and is instead going to wait and see if I do anything at 8, so now I'm going to post this at 8, because I wasn't actually going to do anything, but now they think I am. This means that I am going to actually do something and make them really excited until they realize that in fact it is nothing, simply another argument that they should go to sleep because I care that their brain remains intact and sleep is important.

For anyone (ahem, yes you, reader) who may wish to remind me of that time six months ago where I stayed up until 4 am, I beg you not to, as this would expose me as both a hypocrite and a liar. For anyone (yes, still you, reader) who wishes to remind me that I did that not just six months ago, but also three weeks ago, I must say please do not, as this would also expose me as a hypocrite and a liar.

As I expose myself to the world as a fraud and a cheat, I must also say the age old adage of people everywhere: Do as I say, not as I do. In these words, we find a universal truth: people who say this are liars with their actions and hypocrites with their words.

The brothers meet again

Ohhh my gods, this one was so daunting (I don't like backgrounds 😭) but it was so fun!!! This scene is going to be like. The really fun dramatic one when I get around to writing it, but for now here's a piece for it instead!!

Very quick explanation for those who haven't seen my insane rambles: Dream was about to kill Killer (finish him off) when Nightmare bursts out of hiding to get between them!
