And people wonder why I'm so private about EVERYTHING, especially my writing. 3 people I know IRL have read my ff. One I knew in the Fandom first. Imagine my horror at that discovery. While I now trust said person not to use it against me (they are so lovely and generous), my initial reaction was to drop everything and leave the Fandom. If I took my stuff down and there was no proof, aside from a download or two, I had plausible deniability. My best friend convinced me to stick it out to see how it went. If that part of my private life got revealed at work without my consent, I'd go thermonuclear. I'd burn everything to the ground in a very scary way. I prefer to be nice. I LIKE being nice. When I'm Not Nice™️, it's brutal in a way that people can't fathom coming from me.

Strap in, because it’s hyperspecific infodump time!

An old hyperfixation of mine- a TV show called firefly- a space-western set in the future where the only cultures that have survived in the long migration from earth-that-was was American and Chinese. In the show, they speak in English except they swear in Chinese (sidenote- in the PJO TV show I really wished they’d had some actual Ancient Greek swear words bc it’s mentioned in the book how they swear in latin/ancient greek). Anyway, in firefly they also call each other “Mei-Mei” which is apparently a term of endearment in Chinese, meaning “Little sister”. Since I’ve never had any siblings of my own, I thought it fit. It was cute, and it related to a hyperfixation without directly tying itself to it.

This is, by no means, just a scheme to get people to watch firefly.

Unrelated it’s on Disney Plus now.

So you know that joke in the PJO SoM movie about great shows being cancelled after one season? (you probably don’t, bc the movies were shite). Well that’s bc the guy playing Hermes is Nathan Fillion, who also plays the lead in Firefly (Captain Mal Reynolds).

The studio responsible for cancelling Firefly was also responsible for said movies.

Yup. Fourteen episodes. It can’t be a bad show because it never got a chance to be.

And you know the guy who’s in a lot of disney films? He voices the chicken from Moana, and The Duke of Weasletown in Frozen, and so SO many others? He (Alan Tudyk) plays my fav character. I also hc him as the voice of the Arrow of Dadona.

Made by the same guy who made Buffy the Vampire Slayer if you’re into that.

Married couple that reminds me a lot of Percabeth (Wash x Zoë is my EVERYTHING)

Fic Prompts: Voltron Thursday

It was decided that, among the Paladins, a Girl's Day was needed.

Shiro, Hunk, and Lance had found themselves unceremoniously left to hold down the fort on their own -- Allura had no intention of wasting even a moment of the unusual lull in the fighting -- and Pidge and Allura set off in the Blue and Green Lions.

"So Pidge, what exactly do you want to do on our "Girl's Day"?" Allura asked.

"To be honest," Pidge answered, "Most of my ideas involve taking out Galra arms dealers, or just blowing stuff up in general."

"I suppose we could go to the- what did you call it? Space Mall?" the princess suggested. "We can look for Science things."

Of course, nothing ever goes as planned for Paladins. But while they certainly hadn't planned to explode two shops and start a miniature revolution, Allura and Pidge did end up having a fine old time, just the two of them.

The boys weren't sure, however, whether the two had managed to recruit the boss of "Vrepit Sal's", or if they'd kidnapped him.
