I've never outright stated it and it isn't always this way with them but the way I like writing my viravos is like. Complimentary Insecurities

Aaravos being confident and playful with affection and touch while Viren is actively aware of his corruption and intimacy issues makes the physical aspect interesting, and then Viren (a mess but less of one) being more level headed emotionally and having the capacity to support Aaravos, who in my fics usually shows the 300 years of isolation and background grief more than he does in canon, lets them give the other the acceptance and assurance they need while still having the potential for issues to work through

These are generalizations but I've been pondering why my viravos sometimes gets people who don't otherwise ship it on board and this is I suspect why

Reblog because I was obsessing over this and saw some slight tweaks I needed to make, which included sliding Charlie's head and neck to the left (because she either had REALLY wide shoulders or her head was coming out off-center of her body and it looked off to me), a minor bust adjustment to Vaggie, and adding the ribbons from her bow because how dare I forget to put those in.

I've also added a smaller version of this into the fanfic that spawned it.

one thing that i've noticed and begun to seriously appreciate upon rereading the watch novels is --

sam and sybil are not in love when they get married.

they like each other, but they aren't in love. and i think this is why sybil seems to be kind of in the background of men at arms and feet of clay, like, sure, she's his wife and he appreciates her and cares for her but he doesn't love her -- yet.

and i think it's the knitting moment at the end of jingo when it happens to him. like that john green quote about how you fall in love slowly and then all at once? i think the moment when he comes home and she's been trying to knit him socks but she's no good at knitting and so it ends up being a scarf instead of socks -- i think that's the "all at once".

and then after jingo, suddenly sybil matters more to him, appears more in his thoughts, he's so proud of her in the fifth elephant for everything she does (she is such a badass in the fifth elephant), and it's the cigar case she gave him that is what he longs for amd desperately needs to hold onto in night watch, the memory of her. she's much more important to him and his perspective in the later watch books, and yes the doylist interpretation is that sir terry developed the relationship more as he grew as a writer because he didn't feel like he was very good at writing romance, but i like the watsonian interpretation --

that sam vimes was not in love with sybil ramkin when he married her, but instead fell madly in love with her along the way.

Little homage to my favourite commander, clone, and character in all of Star Wars. This is for you Commander Cody, Kote. After drawing Fox I couldn’t not draw this man. His ability to balance his competence with his insanity is just fuckin incredible. This man will one second snap at a shiny for breaking Obi-Wans concentration, and in the next sucker punch a droid and dog pile Grievous. Icon. Also hm I wonder what the ring around his neck is all about. And his keychain for that matter…

NOW ABOUT THE TATTOO. Though Cody’s the commander, I can’t imagine that he wouldn’t have gotten at least one tattoo. This one was inspired by a fic I read a while ago (The Things You Didn’t Say by Anonymous on ao3, highly recommend) where ***SPOILER*** Cody reveals to Obi-Wan his tattoo, half the open circle fleet. As the open circle fleet directly symbolises Anakin and Obi-Wan, the fact that Cody would explicitly only get Obi-Wans half tattooed over his heart… It makes me feral guys, I couldn’t get the idea out of my head.

The last drawing is just a design idea I had that didn’t really work out when I added colour, but still really enjoyed. I thought about just drawing a full helmet like I did for Fox, but I needed you guys to see his side profile. I love this man so much. Also the stress caused by Rex, Anakin and Ahsoka combined caused him and Obi-Wan to have matching greying temples, just endless suffering with those 3.

When J'onn offered to go to the distress signal, alone, he wasn't sure what he was expecting. Other Leaguer's were on standby, of course, but J'onn didn't sense any danger. In fact it was almost ... suspiciously quiet.

That's why when he came across a child who was bleeding so much he shouldn't even be alive he was more than concerned. The kid just smiled at J'onn, made a pun, did some sort of ... dance move? And then promptly passed out.

J'onn suddenly understood how Batman had an "adoption addiction."

Thriller Bark really showed us how much sanji and zoro value each other. The moment when zoro knocks him out, sanji desperately turned to him trying to clutch zoro with his weak hands in the last moments before losing consciousness and dropping to the ground. He really thought he was never gonna see zoro again after this since the last thing he heard was zoro offering his head :(
