you’re sat in jinx’s hideout watching her tinker away with… something. a new type of explosive she’s experimenting with, she says. something that only requires one hexcrystal instead of two or three, since she can’t keep using so many. she’s unceremoniously hunched over the workbench, goggles over her eyes as she messes with the piece of scrap metal in her hand.

“having fun?”

you ask, sitting back in the chair she got you.

“mm… this is more difficult than i thought it would be. who knew this could be so challenging? but i like a challenge.”

she smirks to herself, not taking her eyes off of her project.

“well, you’ve never let ‘difficult’ stop you. you’re a right genius.”

“oh, stop. you’re biased!”

she teases, but she’s got the lightest rouge dusting her cheeks. got her. your gaze continues to follow your girlfriend, the way she moves so freely and carelessly. getting her face impossibly close to power tools, using her nails to clean up dirt, teeth capturing her bottom lip when she’s particularly stumped.

“alright! that’s enough for right now.”

she proclaims, standing up and placing her hands on her hips.

“already?” it couldn’t have been more than fifteen minutes since you asked her how she was doing.

“yeah! besides, i’ve got something for ‘ya.”

jinx springs up from her seat and skitters over to yours, quickly turning it around. you hear cheerful humming from behind you as she shuffles through piles of belongings, clearly looking for something.

"a-ha!"

she spins you back around, both hands on your seat and quickly rises. she's got something clasped in her left hand, but won't reveal it, not yet.

"what's that?"

"you have to be patient, toots! i've got a speech prepared, don't distract me!"

a speech? jinx never gave speeches. was she breaking up with you? so many thoughts began swirling through your mind as your palms began to sweat, gripping the chair- and then jinx revealed what she was hiding. a wooden box. a... ring box?

"isn't it a little soon to be getting engaged, jinx?"

you chuckle dryly, looking up at your girlfriend. she playfully rolls her eyes, and shakes her head, blue bang swaying.

"yes it is, that's why we're not getting engaged."

she clears her throat.

"not yet."

she turns her attention back to the box, and she opens it. inside lays a thick silver ring, with a circular blue gem in the middle. it looked eerily similar to a hexcrystal- but carved into a gemstone. 'JINX' is shakily engraved on the inside, something she undoubtedly did herself.

"this is a promise ring. i've been working on it for a while, and well... it's kind of stupid." she looks off to the side, sheepishly. "but this is me promising myself to you. to show you that i'm serious about this, ya know?"

you look over the ring for a moment, taking it in for all that it is. it's obviously unprofessional, the metal is a bit dull, and the shape isn't precise. but god dammit if it isn't the most beautiful thing you've ever seen. you glance back to your girlfriend, noticing her observing you- likely for any signs of disapproval. poor girl. as much as jinx had improved since meeting you, she still had the habit of expecting the worst. you didn't think that part would ever go away.

"jinx, it's beautiful. i- you made this?"

you ask, your eyes flickering back to the ring she's holding out. noticing how her grip is becoming a bit less stable.

"with my own two hands."

you chuckle, giving her a little grin.

"well? come on, put it on."

jinx doesn't need to be told twice. she gently takes hold of your left hand, removing the ring from the box and slowly slipping it onto your finger.

"there! it's on your middle finger, so your ring finger is open for the real thing."

not an ‘i do,’ but an ‘i will.’

you hold your hand up to the light, admiring how the ring catches it, before leaning forward to press a flurry of kisses to jinx's face.

"ah- hey! stop, you goof!"

she laughs, arms coming to wrap around you as a fit of giggles erupts from her.

"nope! i get to do this!"

it's not a week later when you arrive to jinx's hideout with a promise ring of your own to give her. a thick gold band to contrast the silver jinx had given you, with a rose quartz to accompany your own hexcrystal. pink and blue… she had a theme going, didn't she?

it wasn't handmade, but held the same sentimental value. you weren't as handy as jinx, and you'd learned to accept that a while ago. you had strengths in other areas, one of them being finding perfect gifts. it didn't take you long to find a jeweler in piltover who had exactly what you needed.

"oh, my god- you didn't have to do this."

she gasps, rosy eyes blown wide. both hands are on her cheeks as jinx gently approaches the open box in your hand.

"you promised yourself to me, didn't you? this is my promise to you."

jinx lets you put the ring onto her own left middle finger, her eyes never leaving your face. watching you so intently, she can feel her heart fluttering in her chest. what did she do to deserve you exactly? she could never quite figure it out, but that doesn't matter right now. you glance back up at her, a little smile tugging at the corner of your lips.

"i… you're too good to me, toots. really."

"i am not. i love you, remember?"

"mm… i love you too. i still think you're too good to me, though."

you let out a low chuckle.

"c'mere."

you bring the girl into your arms, tilting her chin with your index finger to gently bring her closer to you. pressing your lips to hers in a slow, gentle kiss.

oh- and of course, your name is engraved on the inside of the ring.

you're posted at your girlfriend's hideout, going over notes in preparation for an exam. it's nerve wracking, sure, but the odd tranquility of jinx's desk is useful in its own way.

jinx swings open the door to the hideout, and as soon as she steps onto the panel of the wind turbine supporting her hideout, you can tell she's in hysterics.

the girl is wailing. she's pacing back and forth, her breath coming in short, ragged gasps. but most importantly, her hand is gushing blood. you immediately drop your notes, papers scattering across the desk to rush over to your girlfriend.

"jinx? jinx?! what the hell happened, oh my god..."

you kneel down in front of jinx, taking her hand to examine it. her middle left finger is completely gone, blood rushing out from the wound. it seems to be a clean cut, at least, you won't have to deal with any extra bits to clean up.

"the ring, the ring, it's gone-"

she sobs, a hiccup following and her free hand clenching into a fist at her side. you gasp, looking up at jinx, then back down at her finger.

"jinx, seriously? you just lost your finger and you're worried about a damn ring?!"

you breathe out, exasperation and worry weighing heavy on your voice.

"the ring is important! it's- it's our promise!"

she cries, hanging her head low. jinx is so ashamed, it hurts your heart to see. you let go of her hand and frantically sweep along her workbench for anything. you knew you had a first aid kit somewhere, you'd gotten it after seeing jinx patch herself up in a way that would make any doctor shiver. but god damn it, where was it?

there.

you quickly swipe the kit and a bottle of peroxide from her workbench, rushing back over to jinx. you take one of her wrists and quickly guide her over to her beaten-up couch.

"sit."

"but-"

"sit."

jinx huffs and sits down on the couch, you sitting down beside her. you open the kit and bottle, pouring peroxide onto a cotton square and taking her hand into your lap.

"this is going to sting. a lot."

jinx winces at just the thought, but nods slowly. keeping her eyes on what you're doing-

"agh- fuck!"

she yelps, tossing her head back as you press the square to the wound, holding it there to both disinfect and stop the bleeding.

"i'm sorry, baby, it'll be over soon. i just need to stop the bleeding."

you coo, trying to do anything in your power to calm her down. yet it's obvious the injury itself isn't what she's upset about.

"that- that fucker vi is with shot it off, she shot the ring off..."

jinx seethes through gritted teeth, trying to keep her composure as you hold the peroxide to her wound. ah.. that makes sense. caitlyn was never fond of jinx, especially after the stunt she pulled with the council room. part of you was simply grateful that she didn't just take jinx out, as much as you knew she was probably trying to.

jinx was always putting herself in so much danger, both for the sake of necessity and the fact her ego was just so damn inflated. she said it herself- she just can't seem to die. but she got impossibly close way more than you would've liked her to.

you take out a roll of gauze and begin to wrap it around her hand, the wound being in the center of it all. it's far from professional, but this will have to do until you can get her proper medical attention. which you were trying to avoid talking about, since jinx was the last person to ever admit she needed help.

"jinx, i'm just happy that you're alive. i don't care about the ring right now. what if she had shot you somewhere more... vital?"

"then i would've gotten to keep the ring."

god damn it. she could not be serious right now. you finish wrapping her hand, bleeding having come to a halt and wound disinfected. you'd grab some painkillers in a moment. you quickly take both of her cheeks in your hands, forcing her to look you directly in the eye. the cold metal of your own ring against soft skin.

"jinx. again, i'm happy that you're here, and you're alive, and losing your finger was the worst thing that happened. i will get you a new ring, first thing tomorrow. okay?"

she sighs, her lips coming into a slight pout. at the very least, she's not crying anymore.

"but..."

you press your index finger to her lips, shushing her.

"no. just because you don't have the ring anymore doesn't mean the promise went out the window, okay?" you whisper, brushing your lips against her forehead. "i still love you, and still have promised myself to you. that won't change.

jinx closes her eyes, and leans into your kiss. she seems to have finally resigned, and is snaking her arms around your waist.

"i just- i love you so much..."

"i know, baby. i love you too, which is why i'll get you a new ring. a better one, even."

your hand still cupping her face, you lean in to press a chaste kiss to her lips.

"just stay here, with me. you've had a hell of a day."

I’ve been thinking more about how quiet Luke has seemingly been online, at least as far as what he shares with us. He also hasn’t been seen or photographed at any events in several months.

Then I remembered something he said in an interview he did with The Laterals last year and began to understand why…

I think my relationship with social media has changed. Dramatically, really, I'm in a place right now where I'm trying to find a balance by keeping the people and the things close to me and that I cherish as private as I can. And, also having something that's my own.

I love that the fans want to know so much about me, and I guess I'm still figuring out how to navigate it all. It's all fine, and it's all fun. I also love following the other actor's careers from our show on socials. Once they post about a new project they're working on, I know that this will be the next thing to binge-watch for the next three days.

Luke is enjoying his time out of the spotlight, protecting his peace, perhaps working on new projects that are not public knowledge yet.

When he’s ready to share some news, he will. As he always has. I hope the fandom drama hasn’t pushed him away for good.

Until then, all we can do is wish happiness for Luke and continue to share our love and support for him. And when he comes online to share with us again, he will surely feel how immense the support is for him.

Happy Valentine's day you all!

I'm here to unpack my stuff. It's just 5% of everything I've done through past year but I had a tingling feeling that if not today then never. Today is anniversary of my hyperfixation (?) on Non-sentient Pomni from The amazing digital carnival AU created by @sm-baby. And I think that I kinda need to move on ahah *insert a Breakup song by Bo Burnham*. Many projects been started and never finished, some became local memes, 60% of all I can't even post here due to morality but ig it was really fun to headcanon on this truly amazing AU(s). Like Golden rings theory or Showdown stages. Okay back to the point of this post-

First and one of my favorite projects - A butterfly in the system comic.

It has a ton of concept arts and a sketchy story board. A very experimental piece but it was fun to work on, honestly. Maybe some time later I'll come back to it. Story was fully based on "what if non-sentient Pom was infected with virus? And since gal's only purpose is to entertain players would it really be so bad to give her a taste of collar-less freedom?".

Long ask anon with an even longer ask (I truly don’t know how to make long story short, but I can do the reverse), sorry. I am dividing this in two parts in case you decide to post this, so it would not be such an essay.

Part 1. Intro

Something has been eating up at me for a while but I only recently gathered the courage to do anything more than lurking. I actually am quite new to this, mostly because I was not allowing myself to even get into this in the first place. I am a very chill person when it comes to celebrities, I truly couldn’t care less about their lives, don’t even follow them on SM (L and N included) (not that I use SM all that much to begin with), I don’t know why but it always seems strange for me to be invested in strangers’ lives. I am not big of a fan girl either, especially media wise, I am much more interested in books and have no patience for tv shows most of the time. All of this to say, this is unusual behavior for me, watching all of the interviews with repetitive questions (those poor actors having to repeat themselves over and over again), paying attention to actors (beyond just knowing their names).

Polin is one of the rare ships that captured my interest, so I was very excited to learn about s3 being them, and when the wait for even the slightest info seem to be dragging on endlessly those interviews served as a great entertainment. Until they were not, until I started noticing things I wished not to. What started as “oh, they are so cute, and charming, and their friendship is so endearing!” very quickly turned into “babes, WHAT THE F*CK DID I JUST SAW/HEARD?” At one point I was honestly thinking “did I miss something? Are they together? What is going on?” So I checked, out of curiosity nothing more, but found nothing OFFICIAL suggesting that (as in N nor L never claimed anything). So I moved on, watched the show, other interviews (my brows still rising at some points), and then post Part 2 premiere I saw the picture on IG.

Everyone on internet seemed to be screaming about Ls’ GF, and being absolutely vile to him, which I found so disgusting I immediately checked out of the situation and turned my attention back on fiction again. It would be insincere of me not to admit to a certain disappoint on such a development, but that was as far as it would go. Though I can also truthfully say that that girl was not giving me the best impression based on the picture, something just seemed off. I only saw one at that point, where it appeared as if they were holding hands, why did it seem off? Because L looked displeased, almost angry, his eyes averted from cameras, while she was boldly looking right on them smiling as if she was walking her red carpet. As I said that was that, just continued watching the show, reading Polin fanfiction, hung out on a Polin reddit account and some Polin Tumblr blogs. And then I stumbled upon your blog (it was already past papgate 2.0), and now I’m on this bloody ship, and can not seem to force myself overboard, because those two are so soulmate coded (and yes, I realize how cheesy that sounds).

What has been bugging me, is that most, if not all, in this fandom seem to be of the opinion that L is the primary reason why N/L are yet to develop into lovers phase of this friends to lovers arc. From outright blaming him to passive aggressively calling him a dummy for not going after N. And I comprehend that most of it comes from the presence of a certain adjacent. But putting aside the OBVIOUS, LOGICAL point that we, non of us, are privy to their real lives, and bts truth, I still don’t see where that point of view comes from. I know that everyone says L is most like his character, so perhaps part of it is projection of that, but for me it always seems that L is actually a Penelope of this situation. To me, he himself gives it away.

I have never thought L was the hang up in this situation. I think N has been burned in love, is pretty closed off with this stuff, and a TOTAL workaholic. L DEFINITELY fell first (no one can convince me otherwise). L also seems to kind of be a hopeless romantic and public lover boy, which I don't think N is use to. But I feel like that is why they kind of balance each other out ❤️️

She lays her feet on his lap, head thrown back in exhaustion and finally content to have some relief. She’d been swelling all day and her skin felt tight.

“What bullshit,” Austin says, pausing his ministrations to glare at the TV. She wiggles her toes to get him to continue, sighing contently when he does so.

She thinks of the past year and the rumors that have swirled. At first it began small as fandom drama and as time went on media outlets began to pick up on her absence as well. She and Austin were aware that there’d be some push back but it never occurred to her the length people would go to proving they weren’t together and had both seemingly moved on.

Arizona had been her safe haven. She was thankful for Ashley being willing to watch Luci at any time, for Austin’s grandparents who cooked her favorite foods every single day, and his father and step-mom who bought her body pillows and slippers and anything she may need to feel better.

She thinks of Austin and what he must have had to face bouncing back and forth between Los Angeles and New York and Arizona to keep her happy and relaxed. She hadn’t faced the paparazzi or the fans but he had multiple times and he remained patient and understanding of her needing to grow their baby away from the public eye.

Peeking an eye open, she finds him still glaring at the TV. She’s unsure why they’re even watching but she’s too lazy to reach for the control. He’s got on his grey sweatpants, soft against the skin of her legs, and white T-Shirt with his thin gold chain. She smiles, feeling love and gratitude and disbelief swell in her chest that this was her life, this wonderful man was her husband, and they were going to welcome another baby together.

It may not have been planned but it was a happy occasion all the same.

She sits up, planting a big kiss against his cheek. Austin turns, eyes crinkled with his smile.

“What was that for?” He plants his own kiss on her forehead.

She shrugs, “Just felt like it.” Her eyes are welling with tears and she’s sure if she begins expressing her gratitude to him the waterworks would fall. She hopes he knows though, hopes he can feel it radiating off her.

She thinks he must, because he pulls her in closer with an arm around her shoulder, tucking her face into his neck. She presses another kiss to his collarbone as he places his other hand against her belly. Immediately there’s a kick.

She grunts. “He always knows when it’s you.” When Austin had to travel it’s like their baby boy knew and he wasn’t happy, he’d begin spinning and fluttering in what she assumed was his version of a tantrum.

“Mom-eeee.” Luci joins them, pointing to the TV where her face is gracing them. She grimaces at the photo chosen and Austin laughs, kissing her hair. “Say hi to brother.” Luci falls to her mom’s lap to press a kiss on the belly, right above Austin’s hand, and begins mumbling secrets. She feels more fluttering in her belly and by Austin’s smile she’s sure he felt it too.

“I love you.” She says, peering up to him. He hums, leaning down to steal a kiss.

It's no secret that ELLE has been cheering for our most successful band of all time from the front row. Not only are Joker Out the recipients of the first Elle Style Award in the Music category, we always love to catch up with them and chat about their upcoming projects. It's especially nice to see them on foreign ground. We met up with the guys in the Hungarian capital just before one of their bigger performances as part of their summer festival tour – they took over the main stage of the legendary Sziget festival! Judging by the aforementioned (and in this case, also literal) front row, we can definitely say they conquered it.

With it, they have symbolically reached one of the major, clearly defined goals they set at the beginning of their journey. At that time, they stated, "You know you've made it when you perform on the main stage of this legendary European festival." The energy of the gathered crowd at this performance definitely confirmed it, but more on that later.

When asked whether this goal still seems as formidable after they have already reached so many of their set peaks (just this year they successfully completed a European tour, sold out a vinyl edition from the sold-out Arena Stožice in less than half a day, signed a contract with the Wasserman Agency shortly before that, and received a gold record in Finland for their single Carpe Diem, which was also the most-played domestic song last year), the band's frontman, Bojan Cvjetićanin, honestly responds that it doesn't really seem that way anymore.

Festival experiences, with all their systems and mechanisms, are similar to each other regardless of whether it's a slightly larger or smaller stage, and the guys already know what to expect. "You do lose a bit of that, but here today, for example, the organisational aspect is at the highest level." Guitarist Kris Guštin also confirms a slight loss of the mystique, while the band's other guitarist, Jan Peteh, offers a fitting metaphor in his characteristic style. "I see it as going up a hill on a road that has a bit of an incline, and you know you're going up, but the steps to the top are more gradual."

Bojan agrees. He feels that it's a point where you're still far from the peak, but already have a beautiful view ahead that you're following, although the full view only unfolds at the end. Sziget is definitely one of the highlights of their festival season when it comes to personal satisfaction, but for the crowning moment of this festival season, Kris would choose the main stage at Exit festival, while Bojan also highlighted the Finnish Ruisrock festival.

Their tour across European festivals is therefore a connecting point between the band and their existing fans, as well as potential new audiences. At festivals where they weren't the most well-visited performers, the guys noticed that many of the attendees were new. "You can see it mainly in the faces and reactions," Bojan explains. They're very pleased that the response has always been positive so far and that by the end of their concert, there were more people present than at the beginning.

When a concert is not organised by them, it takes away a good amount of pressure. Over the past year, they carried out a lot of them on their own, especially abroad, which was slightly scary for them, even though everything went smoothly. Fortunately, festivals are primarily defined by the summer, which is accompanied by a good mood and visitors in high spirits, and that creates a good atmosphere. "There are a lot of performers in one place, a lot of a certain type of energy gets accumulated, and everyone comes to have a good time," adds Cvjetićanin.

Jan adds that the weather has cleared up during our chat (before that, the festival area was hit by light showers) and it's true, for their performance at 17:30, the sky actually cleared up so much that people were retreating to the shady side of the stage while dancing to their hits.

International festivals, therefore, no longer fall entirely under the "new" category for the Jokers. They've come to feel at home at a number of stages already, so they know how to handle things, both from a technical standpoint and in terms of what to expect from the atmosphere. Finland, with its warm reaction, provided a huge surprise in that regard, and therefore they count their performance there as one of those magical moments that tip the scales into the aforementioned category and go into the "forever" archive.

The third album is around the corner

After constantly working on the third album in London, which will be released in the autumn, the likeable musicians needed a bit of a break from it. That has already ended, however, as they've been in the studio almost every day, which also proves that they're excellent at juggling several obligations at the same time. Considering that the first singles, 'Everybody's Waiting' and 'Šta bih ja', are highly contrasting, I ask them whether this album will offer the most contradictions so far as part of the "intense blend of emotions which reflects the quick turnaround of their lives". That is how they described it recently.

In Bojan's opinion, this is by far their most contrasting album. "Especially the most recent products, which we still have to finish, will be like that." Kris adds that the arrangements might be more contrasting than the sound itself.

"It's still us playing and singing," Bojan laughs. "Exactly, per partes¹, some parts are compatible, and then you have one total 'tourist', and then another one." Jan stops the debate with a powerful statement that there will be more variations on this album than most performers have in their entire careers. Let's wait and be surprised.

It's not only their vision that goes into creating the new album, they also let their fans in on it. For 'Šta bih ja', it was actually the audience's passionate reaction that showed them that it would be their next single.

It is a simple communication style, but one that the band reads well and then translates into its products. By doing so, they typically follow the flow organically, not going against it (true fans will understand this extremely corny joke), always driven by a well-thought-out strategy. Sometimes even at the initiative of Kiki the roadie, who unintentionally hung the lyrics of a new single facing the audience instead of the band, which turned it into a viral hit. "He's a marketing genius," the boys laugh, and tell ELLE that he's definitely receiving special treatment now.

Less than an hour later ...

Shortly after our conversation, we join the large crowd right in front of the famous Hungarian stage and, as the show unfolds, marvel at the visual production, specially upgraded for the festival season under the baton of Studio 7, with whom the Jokers have formed an unstoppable partnership since their beginnings.

The waving Slovenian flags beautifully complement the lace on the band members' clothing, their trademark and a tribute to the culture of their homeland, signed by Karlo Kirri (the Jokers have been collaborating with him regularly for the past year).

Unfortunately, the boys couldn't exchange the "performer" wristband for the "visitor who is just having fun" one, as a concert in Romania already awaits them this Sunday. Jan tested the field the night before, while the rest of them are still waiting for that experience somewhere in the future. Now with a very special aftertaste.

P.S. The news of the upcoming album was followed by the promise that Slovenians will be among the first to hear it live. In the lively backstage area, where the famous singer Halsey was casually strolling just an hour later, I'm told that this will be very soon after the album's release and that "they're going to go for a slightly smaller thing than they could have gone for," adding that it will be nostalgic for them.

The award acceptance clip could've been filmed a week ago when she let them know she couldn't make it.

Last night at the restaurant could literally be 2 days ago, with the time differences.

She is confirmed for the award show in Ireland on Friday. So my guess is she left the next morning and is now there.

Lukes hair at the Boss One Launch was just a little too short for Colin. Unless they are doing another horrific wigg, my guess again is that he and Nic had another long break between filming. It's about three to four weeks to get to Colin's hair. Nic probably filmed the Neutragena Advert (or not, maybe something else), met with people in LA for a new project, and singing lessons for what I have been asking.

I don't think she is going to the SAG awards. I saw one of the other actresses mention that she is going to the SAG awards more than a week ago. She is always in the ball scenes. I think she and some of the less famous ensemble are going to represent Bridgerton. I love Nic, and she definitely deserves to win, but I don't think she is winning this one. Hollywood doesn't normally award anything that celebrates projects that focus on the female gaze. They normally just hate on it.

Jake has been editing his tags on IG. It is worth a looksy for those still believing he is dating Nic. Also, he didn't thank her. If it was to make an official announcement, I am looking at you: People, enews, and any other celebrity gossip mag. Would a repost story on his IG thanking his beloved not be the move? They are literally grasping at straws. They are desperate to post anything about Nic for the clicks.

Also, her liking that Boss clip could be to generate more traffic to highlight Luke. She is just a bestie (in love with) supporting a friend (lover) in his ambition to become a Boss ambassador (not sure what one would call it.

The horrific wedding porn attire that poor little 🐜 was promoting is just sad.

No, I am not dehumanising her. I am calling her an 🐜so that only the people in the know know who I am talking about. I am not going to push anyone to her IG or page or garner any attention for her. Luke might be trying to elevate her status to more than an out of work dancer/f grade model. But I ain't following for it.

What does it say about Luke for occasionally hooking up with her. That he doesn't look down on her, wants to support his friends, and help them succeed. He is a sweetie pie. In love with his gorgeous costar, but something is standing in their way to be together.

It's been a few days since that whole plane thing, and I still can't wrap my head around it. I have seen the discussion here and on twitter, but to me this whole thing of "Austin deeply in love" just doesn't fit with everything else we've seen this year. Yeah, it's possible he's just good at hiding it, but what's the point of that? Everyone knows they're together. I just keep being reminded of all the times we've seen him with her in the last few months, and it just doesn't make sense. I remember when she was trying to push him away from fans at the theatre or when she was all up on another man, it just doesn't seem like love to me, I'm sorry. Her actions certainly don't scream loving gf. And I'm sorry but a man in love won't publicly follow a tabloid that makes her and her parents look bad. He won't like suggestive stuff on ig. And a man in love would make an effort to be with his gf when she has something big happening in her career, and she would also not immediately fly back to LA when her bf is in town, that she hasn't seen in over a month just to have dinner with friends. She keeps following all these new it guys, who also like her pics from like 2017. I know people think we just want to hear only things that we want to, but I just can't ignore all the things that have happened this year to just make this one thing believable, cause someone who likes them together told me to. Again, not saying it's not possible, it's just strange to me, that's all.

I don't find any sense to the whole situation either, one doesn't know what their relationship is like behind closed doors, but what you see on the outside is a couple that is disconnected from each other. Austin never participates in Kaia's projects and she acts like a single girl looking for guys to hang out with. I know a couple where from afar you could tell that one of the 2 was not really connected to the relationship and they lasted 7 years 😂😂, they finally broke up because there was infidelity, I hope this doesn't happen with them and they don't continue to make that relationship last that doesn't look good at all, but people have to learn to let go sometimes when it's clear that things aren't going well and that they don't really love you as one would like. I have never found any sense in publicly showing yourself as a consolidated couple and then not being able to talk about it or not being able to upload any photos to social networks because then the relationship automatically becomes "private". Austin has done a lot of things to show that his relationship is going badly and so is Kaia, I hope they let go and can do better, because for me they are like water and oil.

Cap'n Turbot and the Pirate Parrot! (2024)

ever since i've been introduced to watercolours during my 1st year in university, i've been painting by the side as i struggle with assignments, projects and new foreign softwares. it's also the reason why i rarely do digital art as well, since it reminds me of work too much. traditional art, especially inking & watercolours, has been my escapism since then. and because of it, i wonder if i could apply this 'old-school' skill that i have been sharpening, to my final-year project for my 3rd year project.

in fact, is it even a good idea for me to use this skill during my final-year project? what if i see this as 'work', the same way i see as digital art? or perhaps deep inside, i'm just a traditional artist, who's still figuring out life, trying so hard to fit in a digital-dominated art industry? regardless, i'm proud of my art journey this year, and i have learnt a lot from my failures. and yes, the Turbots will always have a place in my heart and soul. shoutout to Henry Durocher for telling me the PAW Patrol Live cast has seen my turbotposts and the PAW Patrol IG admin for sharing my artwork. ngl you guys gave me a heart attack when i see those notifications. as well as to my followers, thank you so much for giving support. i know majority of you guys come from the PAW Patrol fandom, but trust me, more pupposts and turbposts will come xdddd

How do you feel about LO fans reading Rekindled? I mean, I know Rekindled wasn't created only for the critical side of the fandom to read, but have you ever had LO fans that read Rekindled coming at you because of your anti lo posts?

Honestly, I find I don't get that much harassment for it here, which has been great. One of the most common criticisms I get are accusations that I'm "riding off Rachel's coattails", but considering I'm making this comic entirely from the ground up, for free, in a way that fuses my style with Rachel's (which means it's still fairly distinguishable from LO) technically I'm harming Rachel's bottom line far less than the legitimate fans who draw Rachel's style 1:1 and sell adoptables and commissions LMAO (and that's not to be accusatory, I think it's neat that there are artists who can replicate it that well, but idk why people get mad at me for doing literally the same thing and I'm not even profiting off it lol it's literally just because I'm a critic and not a diehard fan). And if I didn't genuinely enjoy working on this project beyond getting fake internet points, then I would have dropped it from the starting gun, I'm not good at committing myself to new projects (yaaay ADHD).

I think it helps that I (intentionally) don't use the general LO hashtags, I try to stay away from using any fan-focused hashtags because ultimately the work I do isn't necessarily going to be meant for them and I don't want it getting recommended to them if that's not the kind of thing they wanna see. Of course, that won't stop fans from finding it, but if they're getting recommended stuff from the anti community, then chances are it's because they've already been lurking in it. If a fan of LO finds my work, they're more than free to read it and if they enjoy it, great! I was a fan once too, the comic itself isn't so much for the anti's and "haters" as much as it is for people like me who used to adore this comic and wanted more than what we got.

Considering LO is going to be ending by mid next year, Rekindled will very likely be going on long after it, so who knows, it might even become a new favorite for fans who want more LO-style H x P content. Of course, it'll come with all the layers of salt that come loaded with my content, but that's what we have the Dillyhub mirror for now ;)

I find I tend to get more pushback on Instagram and I can only assume it's because IG's recommendation algorithms work a little differently. I thiiink IG might be suggesting accounts that are followed by other accounts (so through mutuals) so if a fan is following the same people I am (ex. editolympus is one I can think of off the top of my head), regardless of whether or not those accounts use the same hashtags I do, I get recommended to them. I imagine it's a pain for people who don't want to be seeing my content but they can take their own advice for once - don't like it, don't read it (￣y▽,￣)╭

Hello my Dearest Gurls, Bois and Enbies.

It’s been a while since I made an actual post right? Oh and, for the time being, forget about that chapter 2 post, every time I resume writing it, I think about the present state of this fandom and I get so VEXED that I close the file soon after … so yeah, there’s that So, here I am, wanting to share something I thought of yesterday, something completely delulu but quite fun at the same time. 

AS ALWAYS, before we get off on DeluluLand, here is a message from our conductor *clears voice*: “Good morning, good afternoon or good evening, I trust I’m finding everyone well and ready to embark into this new trip. As today’s destination is particularly delulu and rather wishful-thinking-esque, I highly suggest bringing the toughest, biggest and shiniest tin hat in your possession, as well as your best clown clothes, with you when you disembark. Now, alas, the temperature is undesirable cold, the skies are pretty foggy and the waters are pretty rough, nonetheless, I do hope you still enjoy the journey, godspeed, this was your captain”. 

And now that we are all readily equipped let me welcome you without further ado to:

Jikook Travel Vlog Theory by Marengo! 

This isn’t a discussion about what I think the vlog will contain, but more of when I think it/they might be released, or rather, if I were jikook, which I’m obviously not, hence this being a delulu post, I would do it in the way I am about to explain. BUT FIRST, let’s see what knowledge we currently have available:

CONNECTICUT, JEJU, BUSAN, SAPPORO

Now, we know for a fact that they went to Connecticut and Sapporo to film this vlog, as eventually mentioned by JK on Suchwita. In Connecticut no thanks to an asshole we saw them with GoPros and also on their way to, and from, Sapporo, as always “courtesy” of airport warriors. So we have no doubt about those.

Jeju was a rumor that some k-jikookers had began some time last year, which was shutdown as quickly as it came out, but which, none other than our dear Tae confirmed a few months later when he made his Chuseok post on IG. BUT the question is; is the Jeju trip part of the Jikook Travel Vlog?

Last but not least is Busan. Admittedly, Busan is a super filler, guessed and projected destination as we don’t have any sightings of the both of them together last year. In fact, we only have confirmed sighting of JK with his 97 friends, thanks to a local restaurant. YET, yours truly Marengo feels that there might be something worth looking in there🕵🏾‍♀️. Considering that they are both from Busan, city that they don’t seem to despise, it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to think that they would want to add it to their travel vlog … but would nobody notice them walking around the big city of Busan? I highly doubt it. Yet more shocking things have been known to happen, so who knows right?

But Marengo - you might be wondering - what’s with the title of your post then?! … WELL

You might remember the terms Solstice & Equinox from a very distant Science/Geography lesson in your memory, their definitions are not very complex, but do not worry, it is not in my interest to shove my geeky ass upon you today. What you need to know is that we basically use this particular “occurances” to practically determine the beginning of each season. We have 2 Solstice (Winter and Summer) and 2 Equinox (Spring & Autumn), which usually occur, give or take one day around the same time of the year as follows:

WINTER SOLSTICE - DECEMBER 20/21

SPRING EQUINOX - MARCH 21

SUMMER SOLSTICE - JUNE 20/21

AUTUMN EQUINOX - SEPTEMBER 23

… So, if we follow my VERY DELUSIONAL REASONING we would have 4 DATES (or time periods) and potentially 4 DESTINATIONS.

This year's Spring Equinox has been “taken over” by VHOPE so I don’t think that we would get anything, and even though Jin will be back with us on this year’s Summer Solstice, I doubt he would be promoting right off the bat (like ... I would think he would need time to adjust a bit … BUT WITH BANGTAN WHO KNOWS RIGHT???) … Which is why, in my head, the first VLOG would come out around this year’s Summer Solstice and proceed gradually as follows:

SUMMER SOLSTICE - JUNE 20/21 2024: CONNECTICUT VLOG

This was clearly a summer themed vlog, they were on a yacht, we saw their naked backs, thanks to Jimin, basically it screamed SUMMER

AUTUMN EQUINOX - SEPTEMBER 23 2024: JEJU VLOG ??

This was part of Tae’s Chuseok post, which as we know is a fall korean celebration so yeah, basically it screamed AUTUMN

WINTER SOLSTICE - DECEMBER 20/21 2024: SAPPORO VLOG

For those who don’t know Sapporo is known for it’s snow before the beer 🤡. It holds an annual winter festival which unfortunately the boys were too early for but …, so basically is screamed WINTER

SPRING EQUINOX - MARCH 21 2025: BUSAN VLOG ????

I got nothing for you y’all 😬😬😬, I’ve never been to Busan and once again other than being their birthplace, I couldn’t tell you if there’s anything related to Spring in Busan, but who knows, it might be a … beautiful place to visit in SPRING???

As you can see, the Solstices are rather certain, but the Equinox are hella shaky. YET if you think about it, what would be happening SUMMER SOLSTICE 2025? 

ALL THE TANNIES WOULD BE BACK HOME.

… And there you have it.

Now obviously this is all baseless theories, as we have been left to go off on nothing 🤡 and for all we knows they could drop it ALL TOMORROW 🤡 or even make it a weekly thing in May 2025 before they get back to us 🤡.WHO KNOWS RIGHT? THE POSSIBILITIES STILL REMAIN ENDLESS I’m afraid,

If you ask me however, If they did anything other than what I just rambled on, they’d miss out on making this a very instructive and seasonal thing 🙄😒 … BUT, again, THAT’S JUST ME.

Hiii I want to talk a little bit about something that bothers me about the "fanservice" FK do.

I don't believe at all that their relationship is fake, there's not a doubt in my mind they love each other dearly and while they might have to exaggerate sometimes or create moments in order to sell their ship (especially when doing promo for a new series) I don't think you can fake the comfort they feel around each other and the literal heart eyes.

But there is just one thing that bothers me so much 😭 Their manager is ALWAYS with them. Anytime there's a cute picture of them who posted it? P'Som🙄 whose job is exactly that, to sell their ship. I distinctly remember that picture of khao putting on a necklace on first backstage (I don't remember which show it was sorry), and everyone going crazy over it, how intimate!! So domestic of them! And I just couldn't stop thinking like......that's fake. It's cute I love the picture but it's clearly staged and I can almost picture them standing still in the position so that she could take the photo 😭 same with the pic first posted of khao before the award show in Busan, as soon as she posted the bts of that photo the intimacy of it was gone, destroyed

That's why those moments previous to them being an official ship are so precious to me, or anytime we get to see them hanging out with each other just for the sake of being with each other, like khao driving first to see his birthday project, or their little concert date recently.

Now I hope this doesn't come across as negative or hate towards P'Som, that's not my intention at all, it's just this is something I think about so much and I never see anyone mention it, and maybe I can find someone here who thinks like me? It's like this kind of fanservice has the completely opposite effect on me lol anyways love your blog!! 🥰

Firstly, a disclaimer - I won’t pretend I understand much about CP culture or even how the idol/actors/actress modus operandi works.

Secondly, we are both in agreement most of what we normally see of them are just their genuine, dorky sweet self (and I mentioned in previous asks, you can't fake the off-screen antics!). Beside, we always know when FK are doing "extra" fanservice; they break out into giggles or goosebumps straight after that.

But even with my limited knowledge of fanservice, here’s the thing about our boys - they are otherwise terrible at selling themselves on social media (for lack of better terms). If I have to give them a grade, it's a C+ (or at best, B-).

Let me see if I can explain it better. Like all the posts we see on IG? It’s all just promo of their upcoming events/series or artistic, blurry shots lovestagram (these are slowly getting better) or more recently, the deforming filters First like to use. Even their presence of TikTok? - it’s only been recently they started to post cute silly videos (which I suspect is partly helped by Joong finally pulling our boys into the 21st century). Twitter? - they come and dropped flirtatious videos/tweet (and we go wild!), but then disappears for days sometimes without posting anything 😅. Now, I personally don’t mind what they do cause our boys are kooky and offbeat (and well, I choose to follow them) 🤣.

However, when you compare to other GMMTV CPs like JoongDunk, ForceBook, PondPhuwin or our most certainly married/dating EarthMix?...FK presence on social media is a small footprint. Even EarthMix (who we can all agree are super domestic), beyond posting about their fur babies, post thirst trap pictures - we have EM in 🛀 with bubbles, we see Mix shirtless showing his 6-packs or Earth intricate back tattoos! Joong is on another level of unhinged (I'll give him A+ for his fanservice) with whatever he is posting on IG/Twitter but we love him for that…😆

So, I genuinely think, in a way, P'Som is trying to help our boys. She is their work-mom and manager. Either way, it is her job to post BTS photos of our boys during formal events/photoshoots/filming.

The 2 moments you mentioned specifically -

Khaotung putting on the necklace for First? (that's during the FK Rome fanmeet, early 2024). Fans went berserk (not only because it was a cute moment) but because during ArmShare First's bday special episode, Khaotung gifted him that necklace (among many other things) - Fans asked First why he didn't wear the necklace during his 25th bday gathering. He explained the clasp is difficult to put on his own, and he promised he will wear it next time during the fanmeet with the help of Khaotung. Thus, while it might have been "staged" in that sense, it was also a promise by FK to the fans (personally, I have a feeling the boys probably won't care if they show the moment to the fans per se. However, P'Som being a good work-mom will capitalise on it to promote our boys - cause that's her job, yeah?)

As for the Busan trip, I have no doubt it was still First who took Khaotung photo + posted it on his IG. The picture he posted is actually slightly different from the BTS shot photo we got from P'Som. Likely First took countless of photos (the boys just doing their usual thing of taking boyfriend-coded photos). It is also likely our boys never asked for the moment itself to be captured. However, Busan was a work event. And so, she was again doing her job by taking some BTS photos. If you ask me whether it was staged or not? - My answer will be Yes & No - Yes, because P'Som would have probably told the boys something on the line of "hey, I'm going to take photo of the 2 of you", where the boys may subconsciously stiffened/act up. But also No, because they were already doing the photo session themselves (am I making sense? 🤣)

Like even the “sharing a bed moment”? - that’s half stage - P’Som probably saw the boys just lounging/resting on the bed and thought - “Good moment! The fans going to love it!!” But our boys probably never really thought about sharing this kind of moment 🙂‍↕️ (while we see other CPs teasing their fans doing exactly that!)

However, moments like below? - I can't see it being stage per se. It's too candid for anything else.

But you are right - the best moments between the boys are when they are together (outside of work schedule), just enjoying each other company and then voluntarily sharing their moments with us 😉 (or when the other friends share it on behalf of them cause our boys are a pair of introvert 😩. Like even their personal trainer is better at updating what our boys are doing??? 😭)
