Wow they just breezed past the fact that in s9e3 Cas was stabbed with an angel blade while he's human and after a very brief hesitation Dean just yanks that thing out to use it to save Sam. This is the first time I even noticed that there's a second where Dean is probably thinking that he knows that you don't remove the stabby thing from a stab victim if you want them to live.

THIS FREAKING SCENE!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve already talked about this scene before, but again it made me fall in love with Eddie’s character even more

The vulnerability Eddie has with Buck here is one of those special moments between them because again it proves how vital and important Buck has become to the Diaz family like Christopher called Buck and Buck rushed over because he didn’t know what was happening with Eddie and he rushes over again because he’s worried not only as a best friend, but also in regards to Christopher

Eddie saying that not only demonstrates how he’s taking back some control from what was taken from him in his childhood growing up in Texas and how he was expected to not feel any emotions at all because he is the man of the house and again being vulnerable enough to cry in front of someone else in a moment of a crisis and be completely honest with that person as well with how you are truly feeling speaks volumes to the trust you have with them.

Also it’s interesting with the word choice of the word normal being used in this context because what does Edmundo Diaz even begin to classify as normal and what does he believe would be normal because again anything he grew up from his family to his siblings to his parents to his marriage to his culture is all embedded under the religious beliefs of Catholicism and we have the season 5 opening episode called “Panic” which is a callback in the episode to how Eddie has a panic attack because someone refers to his current girlfriend as Christopher’s mom while they are out shopping for new suits and then we have Eddie breaking things off with Ana a few episodes later because he panicked over the idea of being a ready-made family so again this use of the word normal is just something because he already has that family unit with Buck again because Buck is always there for Eddie and for Christopher like Eddie literally put Buck down as Christopher’s legal guardian in his will after the well incident, so again this use of the word normal by Eddie is very fascinating with all this context and all the changes that Eddie took upon himself during season 5

I forgot that Elise straight up ignores Phoebe's pleas to not have to talk to her abusive evil ex and is just like, "Okay whatever, interview him anyway." She even tries to use Phoebe's conflicted feelings about Cole against her. Like I'm not saying Charmed was perfect about its Girl Power Thing before, but damn if they didn't go super fucking gross about Phoebe during season 5.

Elise's comments about readers not needing to know Phoebe divorcing Superman also just make no sense. From the mermaid episode, it's made pretty clear none of the readers goddamn know about Phoebe and Cole's relationship at all. Otherwise Nancy Odell asking IF there's a man causing all the love in her column would just be stupid. And the worst part is that normally Elise isn't like this! Or at least I don't remember her being like that. But in this episode, for no good goddamn reason, she's a heartless asshole who's determined to exploit Phoebe's pain for views. And it's all in service to this gross, awful plot where Cole just won't fucking stop stalking Phoebe. And the show keeps acting like Phoebe not 100% hating Cole like means something other than it's very hard to move on from an abusive ex, even when they're clearly garbage for you.

Lately during work I've been playing Backyardigans episodes in the background and its been really fun — I've gotten through most of season one so far — but also I've had to restrain myself multiple times from making a spreadsheet about it, lmao. It would be pretty cool, though! I have quite a few ideas for what data to collect…

Regardless, its been a nice trip down memory lane! This show was one of the first things i remember really being "obsessed" with; it might have been late elementary school/early middle school, maybe? I used to scour the library for DVDs all the time, determined to watch all 80 episodes of it even though I'd been pretty sure I was too old for the show, haha

my autistic ass avoided watching the x-files because i knew it would consume me....

& now here i am fully consumed even though I've only watched the first few handful of episodes of s1 (i'm regaining spoons needed for media consumption), but let me tell you w h a t!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was so excited i started crying because it combines unbridled pining, a skeptic & her believer husband partner, true crime, weird mythology, aliens (which i already knew abt obvi), unlikely besties who are prepared to square up at all times (re; scully being cold towards the agents mocking mulder & mulder being ready to fight g o d whenever anything happens to scully).

i just love the show a lot & i expected this but goddamn!!!!!! it's wormed into my spin category & now my alien spin is returning along with my 'unexplained happenings spin!!!!! i'm being consumed i tell you!!!!

my beef with the revival plot in orphan black season 5 is that i do think it's a super cool concept! i would totally watch it if it were in its own tv show. it's a biopunk cult on "the island of doctor moreau"! the leader pretends to be nearly 200 years old to get people on board! there's a fountain of youth! there's a scary x-files-esque monster that ends up being a "failed science experiment" ripped of his humanity! it's all very cool on its own, it just feels soooo out of place in My Favorite TV Show
