Omg I’m sorry for not realizing u had a list 😅 but I wasn’t wondering if u could do 41 with Abby and could u make it like rlly angsty but with some fluff or smut at the end
Everything Good in Life Seems to Lead Back to You
Abby Anderson X Reader
Prompt: 41. Overhearing they have feelings for you
Warnings: blood and injury, canon typical violence, swearing, fluff, angst (I tried anon I tried), Owen slander once again (sorry not sorry)
Gender neutral pronoun for the reader (if you’d like your request to use specific pronouns please add to the ask)
Link to the prompt list here
A/N: it’s safe to say that I wrote this with the speed of a thousand blazing horses if that even makes any sense. I hope that you all enjoy this lovely word vomit (esp if you requested) it was a blast to write !!
btw the Virginia Woolf reference is from her letters to Vita Sackville and the Jane Austen one is from Pride and Prejudice. What can I say? I guess I’m just a hoe for old love, baby.
Abby spent a lot of time reading; so much so that she had created this false expectation of what love was supposed to feel like. Abby believed that love was supposed to be strong, and passionate, and bright—an everlasting devotion. Of course she shrugged it off at first, they were just books after all—pieces of fiction to fantasize and dream about. Love wasn’t something you could define in a book nor could it ever live up to the likes of Shakespeare or Virginia Woolf.
Abby had never been in love; she sometimes believes she came close to some iteration of it when she was with Owen, but looking back now she realized that what she felt wasn’t love. It was a desperate attempt to be wanted—to be needed, a manifestation of her desire for approval. And after her falling out with him, Abby had come to accept that she simply wasn’t made for love, and that if by some miracle she ever did fall, it definitely wouldn’t be like the books.
That was Abby’s initial perspective on love, but oh how times have changed. The moment you waltzed into her life, every sad, pathetic notion she had about love was thrown out the window in a matter of seconds. Never in her most outrageous dreams did Abby expect to fall this hard, especially since the two of you were practically best friends.
In fact, it had been very platonic at first; Abby was your superior and you often worked together on missions. She didn’t know what compelled her to talk to you but when she did, the two of you hit it off immediately. You started training together, then working out together, and eventually you were spending almost every minute together. The two of you could literally correctly predict every thought that went through each other's head, all except of course (in Abby’s case) for one. It even got to the point where you both somehow knew when the other couldn’t sleep, so much so that Abby had grown accustomed to opening her door to see you holding a glass of milk and a plate of cookies like a little kid on Christmas. She had spent so many sleepless nights alone only to realize that the one thing she was missing, was you and your adorable midnight snacks.
Abby never entertained the thought of professing her slightly less than platonic feelings for you, because she had become content with the idea that you’d simply never feel the same. However, while she had come to accept her unfortunate situation to be a permanent one, it still hurt her when she saw you flirt with other people. And she’d be lying if she said your absentminded touches didn’t still send her soaring. Sometimes she hated how naturally affectionate you were, it made it so hard for her to not love you.
The box that Abby had continually shoved herself into so she wouldn’t fuck up your friendship was almost starting to feel like home, and as uncomfortable as it was, she knew it was for the best. Almost nothing could compel Abby to leave this torturous, self-inflicted prison she was trapped in. Almost nothing.
—
The mission was supposed to be a simple one: get in, get the weapons, get out. A mission so simple, the both of you could’ve done it in your sleep. In fact, on a few occasions after a long night of drinking, you had practically done just that. You met up with the group of traders who you were well acquainted with, and the deal went down smoothly. Everything was going according to plan, which is why you and Abby were completely caught off guard when a group of rogue hunters suddenly began firing shots like it was a fucking carnival.
Turns out there was a new rival group in town, and someone had tipped them off. You and Abby luckily were able to find cover from their relentless fire, but not before you got a bullet straight through your left thigh. You didn’t even realize it at first, the adrenaline coursing through your veins still working to protect you from the devastating pain that was to come. When you did notice it, you had already lost copious amounts of blood. Then the dizziness began to set in, and soon after the pain. Abby hadn’t even realized you were injured till you slumped over on the ground next to her.
Looking down in horror, Abby lifted you into her arms. “Y/N? What’s wrong? Why are y-” Then Abby noticed the blood, and suddenly she was panicking. “Oh shit. Oh fuck, Y/N we have to get you out of here.”
“T-the package, we need the package. Can’t leave without it.” Your response was weak, desperate. You had to finish the mission, the WLF was in dire need of these supplies and you were not going to be the one to tell Isaac you failed.
“Fuck the package, we need to get you back to base.” Abby removed her belt, turnoqueting your leg with such surprising ease that you nearly didn’t notice the agonizing pain in your leg. Nearly.
You groaned when Abby hoisted you into her arms bridal style, careful not to move your leg too much before she booked it to the truck. When she plopped you down into the passenger's seat and began to speed away from the scene, you suddenly felt your eyes becoming heavier. You were so tired. You had lost so much blood already and your body felt like it was shutting down.
Abby was frantically racing towards the base, eyes fixed to the road until she heard you let out a small whine. “Abby, I‘m so tired. Need to sleep.”
Abby noticed you drifting off and she reached her arm out to shake your shoulder violently. “No. No sleeping, you gotta stay awake Y/N.”
Though Abby didn’t mention it, she was terrified. When she looked over at you, you were pale and cold to the touch, drifting off while your leg continued to bleed profusely despite her tourniquet. This could be it; you could die right now, and Abby would have lost the one person in this world she cared about most. She couldn’t let that happen, she wouldn’t.
You were equally as terrified as Abby; every natural instinct in your body was begging for you to sleep and you were becoming tired of trying to ignore it. The last thing you remembered was the look on the face of the girl you had fallen for, her eyes brimming with tears while she wore a desperate, horrified expression.
—
You laid unconscious for what felt like an eternity and Abby never left your side. She had abandoned her duties (with Isaac’s permission) and spent every second next to you, her head resting on the edge of your bed while she waited for you to wake up. The only thing that prompted Abby to step away was Manny, who had heard what happened and went to check on her.
Manny knew full and well that Abby was in love with you; in fact, almost all of Abby’s friends knew. Abby had confided in him during many torturous nights and he was a surprisingly good listener. He understood her circumstances and never pushed her to confess her feelings for you, even if it did annoy him how oblivious Abby was to the fact that you obviously felt the same way. “Abby, I heard what happened. Is everything okay?”
Abby was exhausted, she hadn’t slept at all since you made it back to the base and she couldn’t get the memory of your cold, pale body out of her head. “I almost lost them, Manny. Y/N could’ve died out there without ever knowing how I feel about them.” Tears threatened to fall but Abby did her best to keep her composure.
“It’s going to be okay, Abby. Y/N’s here and they’re alive, and that’s all that matters.” Manny’s hand was on Abby’s shoulder, trying his best to comfort her. “You should tell them how you feel though.”
“Huh?” Abby hadn’t expected that. Manny knew her situation well enough to know that telling you how she felt was a bad idea… It was a bad idea, right?
“It’s like you said, Y/N could’ve died without ever knowing how you feel about them. Wouldn’t it be better to have no regrets at all?” The words stopped Abby in her tracks. She never thought she’d actually agree with Manny.
“It’s just- I love Y/N so much, and I don’t want to lose them this way.” Abby was on the brink of tears, her voice turning into a desperate plea.
“I’m not going anywhere Abs.”
Abby froze, turning around slowly. You were gripping to the doorway for support, limping on one leg and looking extremely weathered.
“Y/N!” Abby immediately ran to put your arm around her shoulder while she carried you back to your bed, setting you down carefully. “You shouldn't be on your leg, you could make it worse.”
There was genuine concern on Abby’s face and in that moment you weren’t sure you could love her any more than you already did. She was so incredibly sweet and caring and no one had ever shown this much concern for your safety and well-being. You had heard her through the door and you couldn’t stop yourself from interrupting her. There was so much about Abby you absolutely adored and she had no idea. How could she not have known you were hopelessly in love with her? Was she truly that oblivious to your obvious flirting? All the subtle touches, the pathetic excuses to sleep in her bed, the fact you literally went out of your way to find rare coins so you could bring them back to her, it all just flew over her head. You couldn’t believe it.
Abby was still rambling about your leg, clearly trying to pretend like she didn’t just profess her love for you while you were standing right behind her. Instead of speaking, you wrapped your hands around her neck before leaning in, silencing her with a kiss so perfect you could’ve passed out right there. You could tell she was stunned at first, but soon enough she was kissing you back. Her fingers were running through your hair and when you pulled away she leaned her forehead against yours, not wanting to part from you.
“Did you mean it?” You pulled away to look Abby in the eyes, your hands still wrapped around her shoulders.
Abby had a dumbstruck look on her face. “Mean what?”
“When you said you loved me, did you mean it?” Your eyes searched her face for an answer while your heart was beating a million miles a minute.
Abby smiled, her eyebrows furrowed as she spoke. “Y/N, I have loved you for as long as I can remember. I’m so hopelessly in love with you that it’s almost pathetic. You have no idea how essential to me you have become—how many nights I’ve stayed awake because you weren’t there to hog all the blankets. Y/N, you have no idea how ardently I love you.”
You smirked “Abigail Anderson did you just quote Virginia Woolf and Jane Austen?” You couldn’t help but let out a small laugh, Abby could be such a nerd sometimes.
“I just confessed my ever-lasting love for you and that’s the first thing you say?” Abby was smiling widely now, relief flowing through her now that she no longer had to conceal her feelings for you.
“I love you too Abs, so fucking much. Also I do not hog the blankets, your comforter is simply too small.” Abby chuckled before she leaned in for another kiss, the worry suddenly disappearing the moment her lips touched yours.
Although Abby had never really known what she expected love to be, this is what she imagines it’d feel like, and you bet your ass it was better than the books. To tell the truth, it was better than any other conceivable thing on this entire planet. Nothing could beat the way Abby felt now that she had finally broken free from her excruciating self-inflicted prison.
Abby pulled away from the kiss, gazing at you lovingly. “Are you hungry?”
God damn Abby, it was like she knew exactly what you were thinking. You didn’t know how long you had been unconscious for, but you were ravenous. “Starving.”
And almost as if you were telepathically communicating, the both of you spoke at the exact same time.
“Cookies?”
“Cookies.”

You Send Me Flying
Chapter Seven:
(Author’s notes: co-written with @nature-and-music, beta’d by @lady-jane-revisited. Based on The Dirt movie as I don’t yet own the book. Warnings: language and smut)
We headed down stairs and piled into her car, her driving and myself in the passenger seat with the other guys in the back. My fingers were itching to reach out for her, but I fought off the urge. No reason to give those idiots any more fuel. When we pulled into the place, I prepared myself for their antics, because where of all places does she take us? A sex shop.
They’re whooping and laughing in the back seat when they realize it and even she giggles a bit. “Alright, get it all out now. I expect you to act like adults when we get in there. Got it?” She was trying to be stern, but her unsuccessfully-stifled giggles weren’t helping. It was infectious and I cracked a smile as well.
“Good luck with that,” I commented as I got out of the car.
We went inside and she got the clerk to help us with the boots while she looked out for a few other things to pull the costumes together. It went surprisingly smoothly and we met her at the checkout where she pays for it all. I let the other guys go ahead of me, but I pulled her off to the side.
“Have you been paying for all this?”
“Yeah. I mean, Nikki put me in charge of costuming.”
I must have looked as furious as I felt, because she was suddenly standing up straighter and placed her hands on my cheeks with concern on her face. “Mick, what is it? What’s wrong?”
“You’ve been paying for everything out of your own pocket! I’m guessing without help?!”
“Wait…No. Mick, look at me. Nikki and I pooled some of our savings together. Tommy and Vince threw in some too and we opened a bank account for the band. We didn’t ask you, because you’re paying child support.”
My eyes shot to hers for a second before looking away again. I quietly replied, “They weren’t supposed to tell you about that.”
“Yeah, well they were supposed to tell you about the account. What are we going to do with our children, dad?”
Something stirred in me, hearing her call me that. It surprised me that I would react like that, but I pulled her flush against me, letting her feel how hard I was getting. “Screw the kids, say that again.”
“What? Dad?” She asks, sounding confused at first, but then her eyes lit up as the dots connected in her mind and she leaned her head a little to the side so her lips just grazed my ear. “Or would you prefer “Daddy?” She pulled back, looking up at me with innocent eyes and started to back away.
A low growl escaped me at the game she was playing and I managed to hook my fingers through her belt loops before she could turn around to escape. “Oh, no you don’t, Princess.” I tugged her back to me and she gasped when our hips met but there’s a loud honk from her car before I got the chance to kiss her. The trio of idiots were staring straight through the shop’s glass windows from outside at us.
“Get a room!” came their collective cheer.
“I’m gonna kill them.”
“No, you’re not.”
I grumbled under my breath and she shot me a look that told me it would be better for me if I didn’t. “Fine. I won’t.”
She put the bags in the trunk and we headed back to the apartment. The guys and I practiced some more while she locked herself in her unit again to tirelessly work on putting the costumes together. She came back up a little after lunch with her arms full of red and black pleather, one of the boot boxes and a small sewing kit. She handed the pleather material and boots to Nikki before shooing him off to go try it on.
***
Reader’s POV
Nikki took the pile from my arms so I could take the sewing kit. His face lit up, like a kid being given his first present on Christmas, and he ran off to his bedroom. I paced around the front room of the apartment waiting for the bassist to come out. I almost sighed in relief when he finally did with a serious look on his face.
“How does it fit?” I asked, sounding as nervous as I felt.
“Like a fuckin’ glove, man! This is awesome!” He enthused, now cracking a smile and turning for all to see the outfit, front and back before coming up to me and giving me a bear hug.
I laughed and returned the hug. “Are you sure it fits ok?
“Yes, stop worrying! I promise I love it!”
“Ok…if you’re sure. Do you want to keep it here, or do you want me to hold onto it?”
“It’s probably better if you hang on to the costumes. They might get ruined here.”
“Alright. Go change back.”
“Am I next, dude?” Tommy asked, practically bouncing on his feet.
“No. Yours is last because it’s the easiest.”
“Aww, man! Wait, shouldn’t Mick’s be the easiest? His is all black, dude!”
“It might be all black, but I had to sew a damn jacket! Sounds easy, right? It’s not.”
“Oh…damn, dude.”
I turned to the singer, “Vince you’re up.”
The man jumped up from his seat and happily grabbed the outfit, giving it a look-over before trying it on “Sweet!” He comes out looking just as excited as his fellow bassist, “This is so awesome! Check me out, man.”
“And it feels alright? It’s not too tight or too loose or anything?”
Vince was a little busy running his hands over the material at first, but then answered me nonetheless, “You kidding? It fits great. We’re gonna be so badass! The chicks are gonna love it!”
The rest of the gang could agree on that matter, giving each other high fives. I smiled and let him know that I could hold on to it all for them. I gulped as I gathered the next outfit for Mick, clearly seeing the rest of the guys lurking over him like a group of vultures. The guitarist kept his cool and said nothing, aside from a slight grunt as he got up from the couch. He gave me a quiet expression of thanks and headed over the bedroom once Vince returned with his clothing and placed it on the table. Some minutes passed while he was changing and though so far there were no complaints, l still wondered if he was alright, or if he needed any assistance. After seeing him in pain like that, I was getting a little worried.
“Hey I need a little help here,” Mick notified.
I made my way towards the room, ignoring Tommy’s repeated attempt to get under my skin by commenting not to take too long. I knocked on the door, “Mick, are you decent?”
“Yeah, come in, just shut the door.”
The man was nowhere to be found after I closed the door and looked around. However my heart started to slam against my ribcage when he stepped out of the bathroom wearing his full ensemble, a big smirk across his face. The black on black look was absolutely perfect on him. The pentagram headband, the studded boots with the intertwining chains, the belts across his chest, the pleather, and the collar. Jesus Christ. The pleather and collar were too much for me. Minus the make up, he was so close to looking the way he did in my dream, the sinister and demonic creature that put me over the makeup table and took me for a ride. I wanted him, no I wanted nothing more than to let him have me anywhere]: pressed against the wall, letting him roughly pull down my pants so that I could spread my legs and he could taste me. Then grab me by shoulders, hurl me onto the bed, and beg for him to fuck me until I couldn’t walk. Still, the costume would get ruined and of course we would never hear the end of it from the idiot patrol.
“This is really cool, you really outdid yourself with this,” he remarked, walking closer to me.
It finally hit me, “You didn’t really need any help did you?” I asked, closing in the gap by hooking my finger in the ring of his collar, biting my lip as I stared deeply into those sparkling blue eyes. That must have done something to him, his breathing becoming a little shaken, and his eyes widening when I whispered to him, “Daddy...”
His pupils were suddenly dilated, blackness engulfing the pale irises. The next thing I knew, Mick held me very close to his body, his hands grasping my back. I tried to keep my sighs quiet as he kissed my lips, however I couldn’t help but let a squeal slip out when he deliciously devoured my neck with his mouth. The heat from our bodies only increased when he pressed me against a wall, his kisses becoming hungrier by the second as my own hands tugged at his raven black locks.
“Mick, oh Mick...” I whispered.
However reality had reared its ugly head back into the frame when we heard banging from the other side, “Hey! Quit fucking around you two!” Tommy wailed. “Come on, that’s our room!”
Mick shouted back, “Fuck you, you fucking teenager! Open those legs, Princess. Daddy needs you-”
“No, no Mick. Please not now, it’s not a good time. Not with those three right outside the door.”
He was clearly frustrated but took his hands off of me, groaning ast he backed off. Still, I wanted him just as badly, so I thought of a different alternative as I clicked the door shut, lifted up my shirt, and pulled down my bra, “Mark me then, please Daddy.”
Without hesitation, Mick immediately held my breasts and pressed his lips to my skin. He was gentle at first, looking at me to see if I was enjoying the feeling of his mouth. I could feel the pulsations between my legs increasing as I whispered his name. I gasped when he took a nipple and suckled on it with ease, but I needed more from him. No sooner did I settle my hand onto the back of his head that he increased the speed of his sucking. His lips were wet, creating a very moistened sound that invaded my ears. He switched over to the other side and did the same, biting down a bit and moving his head back until my sensitive bud was released from his ivories. The sounds of Tommy’s knocking had completely drowned out as he pleasured me with his mouth and I moaned loudly. I couldn’t stop watching the way he pleased me, feeling my panties getting soaked, especially when I saw the fresh blemishes and crescent marks that were upon my chest. I was nearly there and so was he, yet he had to stop for both our sakes.
He gave each breast one gentle kiss and one little lick to my nipples, he leaned into my ear and growled, “You took that like a good girl, Princess. But Daddy doesn’t want to ruin all your hard work.”
I was in a trance as I responded back instinctively, “Thank you Daddy.”

You were running up and down in the kitchen, from the stove to the fridge, from the cupboards to the table. You were preparing the dinner for Christmas Eve, a chaotic tension running through you as you tried to keep yourself organised. As Albert Einstein, a muggle scientist said in a book you’ve read; “Order is for idiots, genius can handle chaos”. You prided yourself in always getting things done, even in the midst of all the unfortunate events that could possibly occur.
Your mince pies were all done, still cooling down on the top of the counter with your Yorkshire puddings chilling beside them. Mulled wine brewed on one side of the stove, whilst the turkey slowly cooked in the oven. You chopped up your ingredients for the perfect roast potatoes and placed them in the oven, right above the turkey.
You always preferred cooking the old-fashioned, muggle way, no magical touch until the washing up. But at times, you found it calming and tossed your wand aside, thinking your day through whilst doing the dishes.
Christmas music blasted from the background, an old muggle radio playing the most popular Christmas songs. Traditional English Christmas dinner was cooking in the kitchen, traditional Christmas songs playing in your living room, traditional Christmas stocking hanging above the fireplace, traditional Christmas tree standing in the corner of the room decorated in red, gold and green.
You loved Christmas and since you haven’t been alone for a long time, it was always a special day for you to celebrate it to the best of your abilities, mixing old traditions with new traditions, muggle word with wizarding world.
You heard the knocker on your door, making you frown as you looked up at the giant antique clock above the entrance of the kitchen. You still had about two hours before the order members were supposed to arrive. The turkey and the potato were still in the oven, your mulled wine only halfway finished sitting on the stove.
You walked across the hall, peaking into the living room with a small smile on your face as you headed to the black, wooden entrance door of your flat. You looked through the peephole, but there was noone outside. You opened the door reluctantly, hand on your wand, tucked inside your back pocket as you peaked out of the tiny gap between the door and its frame.
Your eyes widened in surprise as you recognised the man in front of you. His hair grew longer, his face got skinnier, his body exposed under the white button up shirt, covered in tattoos you have not seen before. You loudly gasped at the sight of the man as you opened the door wider in your shocked state.
“Hey-” he greeted you with a shy smile, one that you were not used to from the proudest, most confident man you have ever met. But that was 13 years ago, before his incarceration in Azkaban.
“Sirius.” You breathed, your lips and tongue unable to cooperate with the hundreds of questions swirling around in your confused mind.
You were both standing in the door awkwardly, none of you saying a word. You couldn’t make a coherent sentence and Sirius didn’t dare to interrupt you from processing the situation.
You felt your heartbeat in your throat, your palms sweating as you held onto the doorknob. You watched the man you once loved more than your own life, standing right in front of you and now you didn’t know what to say, what to do, you didn’t even know where to put your hands in your shocked state.
You knew he escaped Azkaban, it wasn’t a secret. You knew he was in hiding, Remus told you what happened in Hogwarts, but he never came looking for you and you thought you would never see him again. Noone knew where he was, only that he left Europe.
Thinking he forgot about you was easier than to face him and getting rejected after waiting for him for so long. So you stayed still. Deep down you wished your thoughts were simply a game your mind was playing against you, but now that he stood in front of you, you didn’t even dare to breathe, afraid of scaring the man away.
“I’m sorry, come in.” The words rolled off your tongue without your knowledge, your head was in a different space. Sirius smiled lightly as he stepped inside and waited for you to walk him wherever you could talk. You headed towards the kitchen, offering him a chair as you walked to the stove and stirred your mulled wine absentmindedly. “I knew you escaped, but you never showed.” You blurted it out as the spoon fell out of your hand, onto the stove. You didn’t care about the cutlery, you turned around, your gaze firmly fixed on his grey eyes, ones that you always found to be his unique trait.
“I wanted to, but-“ he cut himself off, trying to search for the right words. Both of you were afraid of saying something wrong, dancing on the edge of every word that left your lips.
“You were scared.” He nodded as you finished his sentence.
“I was scared that you had- someone else in your life. That- maybe you didn’t-“ his words didn’t seem to come easy and if anyone, you understood the best. You were struggling with what to say and even how to say it.
“-love you anymore?” You finished his sentence once again, making him smile lightly.
“Yes.” He breathed in a silent whisper, his words inaudible, but you could read the word of his lips.
“Mom.” A young teenage boy ran out of the living room with an envelope in his hands, a carbon copy of you. Same hair colour, same facial structure, even to the last little mole, he was a boyish version of you. “We got a letter from Uncle Remus.” He shouted as he ran up to you, his hand holding the envelope up, reaching towards you.
Your eyes widened as you looked at the boy, before your gaze wandered to the man seated across the table. A shaky breath left your lungs as you took the envelope from the boy and engulfed him in a hug, hinting a small kiss on the top of his head. “Mom!” He whined, trying to get out of your hold, making you chuckle. You let go of him as he turned around, his gaze meeting with Sirius’.
The man looked shocked beyond belief, his lips widely parted, his eyes dilated, his hands grabbing the side of the table, making his fingers paler by the second. He scoffed as his eyes grew even wider and stood up from the table ready to leave.
“James, can you please go to the living room?” You asked your son, although reluctantly but he headed to the other room.
“You named him James?” Sirius turned back with a dumbfounded expression.
“Yes, of course.” You replied with a deep frown, clear confusion sitting across your face. “Sirius, please sit back and let’s talk.”
“What else do you want to talk about?” He shook his head as he headed towards the door, his back hunched, his jaw clenched. “I never understood why Remus kept nagging me to see you. I knew it was a bad idea and I was right all along. I shouldn’t have listened to him, I shouldn’t have come here.” He stated weakly, his voice breaking.
“Sirius can you just stop for a second and listen to me?” You asked as he reached for the doorknob, but you took your wand out and as soon as he opened the door, you closed it right back. “I promise you, if you don’t like what you hear, I will let you go, and we will never ever search for you.” You replied as the tears started rushing down your reddened cheeks. “But let me tell you what’s going on before you come to any wrong conclusions.” You choked as you tried to keep your sobs down, before the only person you have ever loved disappeared from your life once again.
“What do you want to talk about?” He asked weakly, pulling on the doorknob, but it didn’t budge. “I couldn’t possibly ask you to wait for 13 years and even if I can’t show it at the moment, I am happy for you for moving on, for finding someone you love, for building a family, but please let me out.” He was pleading for you to let him go, but you didn’t give in.
“Sirius, can you please look at me?” You asked the man who stood with his back to you, his hands painfully holding the doorknob in his grasp. A deep, loud sigh left his lungs as he turned around, his jaw clenched tight, his eyes glistening of the unshed tears. You took a couple of steps forward to get closer to him but kept a safe distance in case he was ready to leave by the end of what you were about to reveal. “I haven’t had anyone since you.” You confessed, as you watched the man frown in confusion, before his eyes grew wide in surprise.
“What? But your son-“ he began, but his words stuck in him, his mouth agape.
“He is 12 years old.” You nodded in confirmation.
“He is my-“ Sirius started once again, but he was incapable of finishing a coherent sentence, his heart beating at a dangerous speed, his head a mess of confused thoughts.
“Yes, he is yours.” You nodded robotically, trying to refrain yourself from showing anymore emotions. You wanted to jump into his neck and kiss him, you wanted to bring out your son to introduce them to each other, but deep down you were terrified he would reject both his son and you.
You never talked about family back then and whilst you loved each other passionately, warmly, sweetly, you never knew how he would react if you announced that you were expecting his baby.
“I wanted to tell you, before all those horrible events happened, but I kept pushing it further and further, afraid of losing you, scared that you wouldn’t want the baby. By the time I felt ready to speak to you, everything came down crumbling and we lost Lily and James, whilst you were sent to Azkaban and Remus was struggling to even make enough money to live. It was- a terrible time.” You exhaled as you looked down on the dark carpet covering your hallway, reliving that horrible night and all the events that followed after. Your tears started again, rolling down your cheeks, soaking your skin in the salty liquid. Your breath hitched before you could continue.
“I knew you escaped, I knew you were hiding somewhere, noone knew where. Although even if I knew, I wouldn’t have gone to look for you. I thought you wouldn’t want to see me, that you forgot about me and whilst it breaks my heart to think about it, if that’s the case, I accept that. But I need you to tell me that you don’t want us, otherwise I will keep hoping.” Your voice broke as you finished your monologue, hoping for the man in front of you to say that he needed you, that he wanted his son, that he couldn’t be happier to be beside you.
“I thought you already had someone else. I never thought you’d be waiting.” He shook his head, stunned.
“I was. I was waiting for you, Sirius, even if at times I thought you would never leave that hellhole, even if at times it was terrifying to be a single mom, even if at times I thought I would never see your face again. I was waiting even when you escaped, even when I thought you didn’t think of me anymore.” You confessed with a small smile playing in the corner of your lips. The fact that he was still standing in front of you, instead of running away, made you feel hopeful.
“I never forgot about you, I was just scared to search for you and turn your life upside down, especially when I thought you have moved on already. There wasn’t a day I didn’t think of you, but I had to shove it into the back of my mind. I’m a fugitive, I’m wanted, the ministry is looking for me. I couldn’t just come to you.” He stepped closer, placing his hand on your cheek, caressing your skin with his slightly calloused thumb. He leaned closer, placing a small kiss on your forehead, not daring to make the next step just yet.
He heaved a deep sigh, leaning his forehead against yours. You enjoyed the silent breaths between you, the calm atmosphere. Noone of you dared to step over the boundaries, even if both of you needed to be closer to each other.
You took a deep breath, before you exhaled shakily. “You know, he knows who you are.” Sirius knew what you meant without another word. “I wanted him to know his father.” You couldn’t read Sirius’ expression, but you were hoping it wouldn’t be the moment he leaves. “Do you want to meet him? Properly?” You asked, but before you let him answer you continued. “I don’t want to pressure you. If you need time to think, that’s perfectly fine.” You added quickly.
“I want to meet him.” He smiled softly, a nerves knot sitting in the pit of his stomach. You got hold of his hand, the feeling of his long fingers folding around your hand making you nostalgic and somewhat giddy. You walked him towards the living room, both of you halting in the doorway, watching James seated in front of the Christmas tree with a photo of a younger Sirius in his hand.
“James?” You called your son, making him jump. He looked up at you, before his eyes wandered to Sirius, studying the man. “Can you come here, please?” You asked and the boy stood up, walking over to you. James faced Sirius, both of them studying each other with a curious gaze.
“He is my dad, isn’t he?” He asked, looking up at you with the identical grey eyes his father had, his gaze questioning. You nodded in a reply, watching as he reached his hand towards Sirius, who accepted it with a proud smile. “I’m James.” He introduced himself.
“I’m Sirius.” He replied with a nod.
“Is he staying?” James asked as he looked up at you waiting for a reply. Your stomach jumped at the thought, but you didn’t know how to reply. You turned to Sirius for an answer.
A wider smile started spreading across his face as he squeezed your hand, which you still didn’t let go of, completely forgetting about how natural it felt to be connected with him. “If you let me, that would be amazing.” Sirius replied confidently, making you let out a single laughter.
“I would love that.” You smiled happily. “Can I leave the two of you alone until I try to save the food from burning?” You asked with a silent chuckle. Both of the boys nodded confidently, waiting for you to leave. They watched you with eager eyes as you looked back at them, making sure that everything was going well.
You quickly headed to the kitchen, pulling out the roasted potatoes and turkey from the oven, slightly burned, but still edible enough. You placed the trays on top of the unoccupied part of the stove and removed the mulled wine from the fire, before turning it off. You tried to work as fast as you could, impatiently wanting to head back to your boys. Seeing them together was like a dream come true and you felt like you were still dreaming. You needed to see them again as soon as possible to be able to believe it was all happening to you.
You rushed back to the living room as soon as you finished and leaned against the doorframe watching as Sirius and James talked about quidditch, both with a childlike enthusiasm across their face. It was an idyllic moment you cherished dearly, the two most important men in your life bonding over their common interests. You never wanted to step out of that sweet reality you found yourself in.
“No, that’s not true. I will show you the best broomstick.” James exclaimed as he started off towards his room with a wide smile across his face, almost shoving you out of the way, before shouting a quick ‘sorry’ to you.
“He is an amazing kid.” Sirius stated with a cheerful grin across his face as he waved you over to the couch.
“I know, I tried to do my best.” You nodded in agreement as you took a seat beside Sirius.
“You did a fantastic job, love.” He beamed, his gaze warm and loving, just like all those years ago, capturing your complete focus, his pet name for you rolling off his tongue just as smoothly as all those years ago.
“Are you really staying?” You asked. “At least for a while?”
“I don’t ever want to leave you or James again.” He sighed deeply. “I still love you just as much as before, if not more and I want nothing more than to get to know my son. Our son.” He lifted his hand, caressing your face. “I want to be with you again. I want to support you and make up for the time we lost.” He leaned his forehead against yours, closing his eyes, enjoying the moment with you.
You didn’t want to wait longer, nor could you do so. You closed the gap between you, attaching your lips to his, wrapping your arms around his neck as his hands sneaked around your waist.
It was just as perfect and exciting as you remembered, if not better and you didn’t want to let go of him for as long as you could keep him in your arms. So many memories resurfaced whilst his lips moved against your, all the moments you have shared appearing to you like a happy little montage.
“Come on, Mom!” You heard James’ annoyed voice and you quickly parted from Sirius, both of you slightly panting from the passionate kiss.
“Sorry.” You chuckled as you watched his deformed expression, a disgusted grimace sitting across his face, before it slowly turned into a small smile.
“I’m glad we are all together, but keep that behind closed doors.” James whined, making you giggle as he sat down in front of the couch on the carpet, showing his broomstick to Sirius. He threw his arm around your shoulder, pulling you into his side, hinting a kiss on top of your head.
The food got cold and was slightly burned by the time the guests arrived, but you were the happiest person in that moment, and nothing could ruin it. Your family being together for the first time was the best Christmas present you could ever wish for.

“Your Christmas gift for me is…my own album?” Jae asked, looking up just slightly confused. You had troubles holding back your laughter as you nodded, trying to muster an innocent expression. How you had waited for today, longed for the moment you could finally give him the gift you’d planned out so carefully. It had taken you months of planning and messaging back and forth with the company, countless nights spent editing in front of your computer.
Jae flipped the red and black box over, suspiciously eyeing the back of it. “Uh…thank you?” you rolled your eyes. “Open it, Jae come on!” he gave you another confused glance, only hesitatingly fumbling with the lid.
“Will it explode? Hey, why are you filming?” you shook you head quickly, motioning him to just finally focus on the task on hand. He sighed, having decided that questioning you or your choice of gift wouldn’t bring him any further now. All that was left was opening the album. With another sigh he flipped the cover open, facing…the completely regular content. There were the preorder-gift polaroids, a bookmark (with Wonpil at that) the lyric cards, photo cards, the photobook and in its back, as Jae knew, would be the CD. Nothing special. Jae was more than confused.
“I’m sorry, did I miss something? Did like, a fairy elevate from it or something?” you only laughed, shaking your head.
“Nope.” Jae sighed, giving you big, very confused eyes. “Jagi, help. I don’t want to seem ungrateful, I just really don’t…get it?” you gave him an innocent smile once again and nodded towards the album.
“Unpack it. Oh come on Jae, have you never unboxed an album before? Do it like me when I get mine in.” he snorted.
“I only make them, what would I unbox them for. And what do you mean, do it like you. Does that mean I’m supposed to squeal over Jackson Wangs face when I see him pop up somewhere?” you threw the discarded wrapping paper at him.
“You’re no fun Jae, seriously. Just go through it, Jesus Christ!” he sighed dramatically before finally, tilting the box so it’s content would fall into his hands. He gave you a quick look and you just nodded, urging him to continue.
“Am I supposed to go through the photobook?” you shrugged. “I mean, what would you do first if you were a fan of yourself and would get this in the mail?” he pursed his lips slightly. “I am a fan of myself. Y/N you’re no help at all.” you only snickered amused. “Jae, you’re a stoic little boy. Hurry up.” He gave you a glare before opening the photobook…and almost dropping it again.
“What the fu-?“ you couldn’t help yourself any longer and burst out laughing. Instead of the group pictures he’d probably expected, there was…something else. Still a group picture, with just the tiny difference that all the members wore Wonpils face. Jae flicked through the pages of the book, scanning over every picture before looking at you with a horrified look on his face. “What did you dooo?” he whimpered, opening the book at the page where he’s supposed to be – and was – but with Wonpils face montaged over his own. You couldn’t answer just yet, your breath hitching with giggled as you watched Jae stare at this army of Wonpils all over the pages of the book with a look of disgust.
“I’m speechless. How did you even get this done, who helped you. JYP himself?” he ran his fingers over the smooth surface of the pictures, now fighting a small smile.
“The demon, indeed.” Jae mumbled, and a tiny smile started to tug on his lips. You were on floor laughing, more than satisfied with your gift, more than happy with his reaction.
“So you wanna tell me…that you went through all this trouble…all of this…just so I would have a book with Wonpils face?” you nodded, teary eyed, sore throated but happy. “For my favourite boy. A special edition, only copy that has ever been made. You like it?” he narrowed his eyes.
“C’mere you little minx…” and he leaped towards you. With a shocked squeal you scooted out of reach before getting on your feet as quick as possible and speeding for the kitchen. The chase did not go on forever, actually it ended almost instantly. Jae was faster (also because you wore fluffy Christmas socks which made everything dangerously slippery) and had you trapped in his arms in no time. He picked you up for half a second maybe, right before he fell backwards onto the sofa, where he took it upon himself to tickle the living hell out of you. Only after a good ten minutes he stopped with it and pulled you into his chest.
“You’re so annoying.” Was all he had to say, the fond smile on his lips betraying him. You only grinned, turning around so you could comfortably rest in his arms. He glanced down at you, a smile dancing over his lips. You reached up to press yours against them, as if to catch the smile before it vanished.
“Now did you like it?” he laughed softly, pulling you tighter for a second. “Sure. Would you be mad if I burned it or something?” you stifled a laugh, intertwining your fingers with his, resting them on his belly.
“I kinda expected you to at least frame a few pages. You could hang it up in the studio, right over your guitar stand. The colours would look great with that deep red Gibson you got.” Jae hummed amused before he snapped up.
“Wait the what?” you bit back a tiny smile. “The deep red Gibson Les Paul Studio, you know that guitar. It would go well with the red aesthetic moment you guys got going on in the album.” You repeated, acting as if nothing was wrong.
“I…I don’t have a red Gibson…? I only have a black one, you know the old one…?”
“Are you sure you don’t have a red one?” he sat up, giving you a weird look. “What are you…”
“Oh come on, you didn’t really think I just got you the Wonpil photobook, did you?” his jaw fell slack.
“You got me a guitar?” you grinned proudly. “Younghyun helped me pick the right kind, since I have less than no knowledge about guitars. It’s waiting for you behind the coats in the hallway…I had to hide it somewhere. Go have a look.” Jae was on his feel faster than a chicken on speed and sprinted towards the clothing racks, slithering coming to a stop in front of them.
“Holy shit.” You laughed. “She’s beautiful! I can’t believe…are you serious?” he brushed carefully over the shinny ebony, placing the guitar in a way where it would rest safely on his lap. You leaned against his shoulder as you watched him brush over a few strings hesitatingly. The dark red fit beautifully into the scenery, the light up Christmas tree and cozy atmosphere, accentuating everything with a more Christmas-sy feel. “Damn. I know I shouldn’t swear on Christmas out of everything but holy shit, she’s beautiful.” you shrugged lightly, shooting him a wink. “Suits you perfectly then!” he clicked his tongue and gave you a slightly unbelieving look.
“Keep that behavior up and I’ll wife you before this year ends.” You huffed amused. “Yeah I mean I would, but I do not have the financial capability to do that, good Sir. You can still wife me, tho.” He shot you a quick grin before diverting his gaze back to the guitar.
“You know, I’m gonna do it anyways so...” Jae mumbled almost absentmindedly, gaze still fixed on the guitar. You looked up surprised, feeling a tingle rise in your chest.
Was he…serious?
“Oh yeah?” he looked up at you, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. “What? Did you think I only got you a box of chocolates and those lame ass concert tickets for Christmas? The ring is in the top drawer of my nightstand, I had to hide it somewhere.” This time, it was your turn to stare at him blankly.
“Shut up Jae, you’re kidding.” He leaned back with a smug grin, shooting you a wink.
“Go have a look yourself, babe.”

You’ve Got to be Knitting Me {Elriel}
I hope you all are enjoying the Christmas season! This little ditty was written alongside @snelbz. More will come soon. Enjoy the fluff. :)
Elain Archeron was the type of girl who easily picked up anything new that she tried. Gardening had always come naturally, but when she’d decided to give the piano a try, it had taken a bit of work. After a couple of months however, she was able to play a few songs from memory and was always trying to learn more. She’d done excellent in school and had excelled at the few sports that she’d tried, so when she’d found a pattern for a festive sweater on Etsy, she looked up a YouTube video and bought the supplies she’d needed to make one for Azriel.
He loved handmade gifts — really, he loved everything that she did — and with the familiar triangular pattern from one of his favorite video games, she knew this would be a great surprise. She just didn’t figure knitting would be so damn hard.
She had never cursed so much in her life, had never dropped so many f-bombs to herself in silence as she did when those knitting needles were in her hands.
Even worse, she let out one big curse and an earth-shaking groan when she looked, at last, at her final product.
It definitely looked like a kindergartener had done it.
There weren’t any gaping holes, nothing like that, but it surely wasn’t symmetrical. Nor did it resemble the pattern, whatsoever.
Looking at the clock over her shoulder, she wanted to smack herself for changing Azriel’s gift at the last minute. It was their first Christmas as a couple, though not the first they’d spent together, thanks to the feelings Azriel had finally admitted to the summer before, after years of friendship.
Tonight was the annual Christmas dinner their group of friends had every year, complete with Secret Santa. Everyone agreed that gifts should be handmade this year, and Elain had been lucky enough to draw her boyfriend’s name. She’d been planning to make a scented candle for whoever she drew, but she couldn’t pass up the perfect opportunity when she saw the listing for an instant download of the pattern the evening before. She’d figured it may take a couple hours to get the hang of, but nothing too crazy.
Now, she stood in her bedroom, holding the monstrosity of a sweater — if it could even be called that — and had just enough time to get dressed and leave, even though she’d be late to Cassian’s house where the party was taking place. With a groan, she shoved the garment in a festive gift bag and hurried to her car.
After convincing herself to start it up, and to back out of her driveway, she was driving, a little too slowly, across town.
Her phone vibrated on the seat beside her, and she glanced over quickly to see, Just got here. Can’t wait to see you. ;)
Elain sighed, fully aware that it was ridiculously dramatic, and picked up her speed, just a little bit.
Ten minutes later, she was parking behind Feyre’s little red car, grabbing Azriel’s gift with unnecessary force, and making her way up the walkway.
When she opened the door, she was greeted with an excited round of hellos, then Azriel was smiling and going up to her, planting a kiss on her cheek.
“Since when are you the last one to arrive anywhere?” Nesta asked, in greeting, sipping from her wine glass.
Since I became the world’s worst knitter, she thought to herself. And possibly the world’s worst gift-giver. And girlfriend.
“Ran into some…complications,” she admitted, only willing to give half the truth.
Cassian was trying to subtly look into the gift bag, but the plumes of tissue paper blocked his vision. Elain snatched the bag back and he grinned. “Well, since Lainey was nice enough to finally join us, I’d say it’s time to eat,” Cassian said, rubbing his hands together.
The group made their way into the kitchen, where card tables and chairs were set up in every spare inch of space. They were, of course, covered in linens and tablecloths, courtesy of Nesta, and were set with plates and silverware, ready to feast.
The food was amazing, almost everyone bringing something to contribute to the delicious meal. There was wine and laughter and many, many embarrassing memories from the year before. And once the plates were empty and the tables were cleared, everyone gathered in the living room, ready to exchange presents. They were all lined up on the fireplace, different size boxes and bags, festively decorated and full of surprises.
Save for Elain’s, which she had hidden, tucked behind her legs.
Feyre cleared her throat, and Elain jumped. “What?”
“Your gift,” Feyre said, half a statement, half a question.
Elain looked down at the bag behind her legs and hesitated. “I…”
Feyre was already grabbing it, though, placing it alongside the others.
Azriel plopped down next to her on the couch, a beer in his hand that had a label of a drunk Santa Claus on it, and tossed his arm around Elain’s shoulder. “You okay? You look nauseous.”
Oh, she was. “I’m good. Ate too much, I think.”
“Me too,” Azriel said, groaning quietly. “I could use a nap.”
Yes, please take a nap until gifts are done and gone. Elain just smiled up at him, pushing her thoughts aside as she leaned into his embrace.
“Alright,” Mor said, clapping her hands, electing herself as the one to hand out gifts, just like she did every single year. She reached for the gifts and Elain found herself half hopeful she’d grab her bag first so she could get the humiliation out of the way.
She didn’t, though, instead picking up a box wrapped in candy cane-covered wrapping paper and adorned with a big, white bow. “Looks like Amren gets to go first this year,” she announced, reading the name on the label and handing the package to her. Amren was grinning like a mad-woman.
She tore into the package and held up a sleek, wooden jewelry box with blood red resin inlaid in the top. Flipping it open and gazing at the velvet interior, she smirked and nodded in approval, looking over at Cassian without even looking at the accompanying card. He was the only one of them capable of crafting such a gift. “It’s perfect, you did good.”
He winked. “I know.”
Nesta rolled her eyes but Amren’s grin only widened as she continued to examine her box while Mor moved on. Feyre’s gift was next, and it was a massive, vintage book on the history of world art, which they all knew came from Nesta’s bookshop.
“And before you say it’s not homemade,” Nesta began, crossing her arms. “Look beneath the cover.”
Intrigued, Feyre took off the dust cover and her smile grew. The cover was painted with the night sky. And although Nesta was not an artist, whatsoever, that night sky cover on that old book was a thoughtful gift.
Feyre jumped up and Nesta and gave her sister a hug. “Thank you.”
Nesta just shrugged and took another sip of wine, even though her cheeks turned the softest shade of pink.
And just when Elain thought her gift may have been forgotten, Mor grabbed the bag, read the tag, and passed the bag to Azriel.
With a lifted brow, Azriel set down his glass bottle and took the bag before sitting back down next to Elain, who sunk lower into the couch cushions. He narrowed his eyes at the bag and smirked, glancing over at his girlfriend.
“I saw this bag at your apartment last week, didn't I,” he asked, eyes softening.
To keep from answering, Elain took a drink of her wine and smiled. She could feel her cheeks darkening by the second, and he hadn’t even taken the horrendous gift out of the bag yet.
He pulled the mountains of tissue paper out of the bag, grabbing hold of the contents. He lifted it out of the bag and-.
“What in the name of the seven hells is that?” Cassian asked, staring at the sweater in the Azriel’s hands. They all thought it was a sweater, at least, since it seemed to be made of wool and was distinctly hand made.
It just wasn’t made well.
Azriel slowly looked over to his girlfriend. “You made me a sweater?”
Elain hesitated. “I- Yes- No, no actually, I- I’m just going to take it back now-.”
“Take it back?” Azriel asked, his brows furrowed, clutching the mess of a sweater to his chest. “Why would you take it back?”
Elain was fairly certain her cheeks had never been so red. “It’s not… The best-.”
“Are you kidding me?” Azriel asked, quietly, with the softest of smiles. “Elain, I… I love it.”
“No, you don’t,” she said, shaking her head. “And it’s okay-.”
“I love it,” he repeated, adamantly.
Without another word, he pulled the loose mess of fabric over his head, which just highlighted the imperfections more, as it stretched out over his broad chest.
After pulling the hem down past the waistline of his jeans - just barely past the waistline of his jeans, which was as far as it would go - he stood up proudly with his hands on his hips. “See? Perfect fit.”
Elain groaned with her face in her hands. “You made your point, Az, you can take it off now.”
“Take it off?” he asked, plopping back down next to her, his arm going around her shoulder as he pulled her in tight to him. “I’m never taking it off.”
“I think it’s cute,” Mor followed.
Elain only groaned, yet again, but then Azriel’s own hands were taking her hands away from her face. Her weary eyes met his, soft and full of complete adoration.
“I love it,” he whispered. “And I love you for making it for me. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome,” she murmured, face blazing. She wasn’t proud of the work she’d done, but she sure as hell was proud of the smile it put on his face. And seeing that was gift enough.

A Trip To Hogsmeade
Summary: The marauders decide to sneak out with you to Hogsmeade.
Warnings: none?
word count: 1,020
Note: Hey @they-write-once-in-a-blue-moon! I am your secret santa!!! I hope you enjoy your gift! <3 also, thank you to @hyperion-moonbabe-art3mis and @johnmurphyisqueer for making this wonderful event come to life!
another thing, in this fic there is no peter. fuck peter
Honestly, you only have a slight idea how you got here.
Getting taken out of the library by Sirius Black to sneak out to Hogsmeade with him and his friends for a little fun since it was almost Christmas.
“C’mon Blue! Hurry up!” He picks up his speed, practically dragging you now. “I wasn’t made for running!” you protest.
The two of you zip past a stack of books, knocking almost all of them to the ground, earning a reproachable look from Madam Pince. “I don’t know why we have to run like we did something illegal…” you mumble. He just shakes his head and pulls you down a random corridor.
It was so much colder out here than in the library. The icy wind hit you full force making you shiver violently. You were seriously regretting your decision. You take a quick glance out the window to see what you would have to deal with. It was snowing. How nice and cold you were going to get. Dressed the way you were you knew you were gonna freeze...
“Wait!” You pull on his arm in an attempt to slow him down. “What about coats?” He looks at you before slowing to a brisk walk. “We got a cupboard that is filled with old coats we used, just borrow one of those.”
Finally giving in, you let him pull you to where the rest of the Marauders were waiting near The One-Eyed Witch.
When you were about 100 metres away, James spotted the two of you.
He waved to get your attention, shouting at the top of his lungs. “Hey! You got them Sirius! Well done mate! Now let’s go!”
“Yeah we’ll go in a sec, Blue just needs a cloak.” He walked down a few metres opening a closet that looked like even the rats had given up on it. He beckons you over, way too excited to be showing you cloaks.
Peeking your head around the door you survey it, the interior was in much better condition than the outside. And the coats… It had to have at least thirty stuffed inside.
“Looks like a passage to Narnia in here.” You say going through them.
Sirius turns to you confused, while Remus grins.
“A passage to what?” “Never mind, it’s just a muggle story.” You dismiss it with a wave of your hand.
You pick out the warmest coat you can see and shuffle into it, walking back to the boys and the statue.
The four of you gather around the statue as James points his wand at the witch, whispering something to it. You try to listen in but he was saying it too quietly. It opens slowly revealing a dark passage. He notices you listening and winks. “Sorry Blue, this is a Marauders only secret.” You huff, rolling your eyes. Like you couldn’t find out. You were a Ravenclaw after all.
They beckon you into the dark tunnel, simultaneously lighting their wands.
You follow suit, whispering “lumos” into the silence.
“I love the atmosphere,” Sirius says out of the blue, a wicked grin on his face. “Minimal light, hushed voices, slimy walls, no sense -” “Oh, shut up” Remus sighs, whacking Sirius on the arm. “Quit spooking people and actually move you idiotic toad.”
...
Soon, you stood below a trapdoor, the Honeydukes logo painted on it. James looked back at the rest of you grinning like mad. “Now this is the fun part” he rubbed his hands together and blew hot air on them before slowly lifting up the trapdoor.
It started creaking and groaning, making James wince. He paused for a second and listened to see if anyone was coming. When he was certain no one was, he started pushing again. Like before, it started creaking. He grew exasperated and completely gave up on the quiet factor. He threw the trapdoor open, slamming it into the floor above them.
You all pull yourselves up, falling and shushing each other the whole time. You gaze around, recognising where you were instantly. “Hey… isn’t this the cellar? How the hell -” All of a sudden, Remus turns around and clamps a hand over your mouth. You all stare wide-eyed as you try to listen for what Remus had heard.
After a few seconds of silence you hear it again. Footsteps. Coming this way. The four of you stand there, frozen. James halfway through ripping open a bag of Honeydukes Finest, Sirius still pulling himself up while you and Remus were half-crouched, trying to control your breathing.
Soon, the footsteps fade away and you all unfreeze, breathing sighs of relief.
Sirius is finally allowed to crawl the rest of the way, struggling to stand up. He holds his abs in pain. “Do you know how hard that was to hang there with only your arms supporting you?”
But everyone ignores his complaints as they travel towards the door, swiping a couple lolly bags, stuffing it into your coats. You try to be quiet as possible as you stumble out of the cellar.
The four of you travel to the front of the shop and bolt out with a walk that says “I’m very suspicious but you don’t know why”.
You run out of the shop, the employee staring at you weirdly. You all fast walk it away from Honeydukes, breathy laughter filling up the silence.
“That was hectic and scary.” Remus says and you all agree.
Sirius walks up to you and hooks his arm through yours. “Let’s go get some butterbeer eh? To waste a little bit of time.”
Trudging through the thick snow was tedious. You were so happy to finally get into the warmth of The Three Broomsticks.
You and Remus ran to snag a booth while the other two ordered all the drinks.
Soon, the warmth of butterbeer was chasing away the cold, leaving you content.
Conversation flowed easily between you four. The boys were telling you about their past “shenanigans” as James dubs them.
You take another sip of butterbeer and laugh along with them.
Maybe you should go on these “shenanigans” with them more often.

Bio!Dad Bruce Month Day 13- Gifts
a teen was standing in an airport, the hood of his hoodie pulled up to hide his dark hair. His hands were stuffed in the pocket of his sweatpants, and he kept his eyes (really blue eyes!) fixed on his phone. When the arrival of the last flight from Paris for the night was announced, he glanced up, scanning the area. Satisfied that whoever he was looking for wasn’t yet at the baggage claim, he returned to his phone.
20 minutes later, the device binged, and his head shot up, once again scanning the area. The athletic boy’s face split into a smile when he locked eyes with a girl who was waiting near a pile of bags, looking through the ones that were spitting out. The boy made his way over and pulled the girl into a hug. After they had snagged the last of her bags (how on earth did the kid have 6???) the two made their way to the parking garage. When they neared the doors separating the warm airport, the boy pulled the girl’s hood up and made sure his was up as well before pulling the bags he had taken behind him. the tow hurried through the cold air, heads down.
As they passed a line of cars in the drop off lane, the boy’s hood got knocked off by the wind. He ducked down further, but by then, it was too late. “Timothy! Timothy Drake!” his name flew through the reports and visitors in the crowd. The boy, Tim, scowled and cut those closest to him a glare. The girl behind him sniggered at his distress before pulling her hood farther forward. As she pushed past the teen, there was a flash of blue eyes, before she was pulling him after her. As they hurried off, there were multiple flashes of cameras and questions floated through the air.
---
“what that fuck did you do?” the question was punctuated by the slamming of Marinette’s door. Tim huffed as he slumped into the driver’s seat.
“I didn’t do anything though! Honestly, it’s not my fault B has been making me do the public appearances for WE!” at his sister’s suspicious look, the older teen made a face and checked to make sure she had buckled her seatbelt. S
oon, the two were speeding down the road that led to the manor, where the rest of the family was gathering.
---
When they walked in, they were greeted by Alfred, who gave Tim an unimpressed look before smiling at Marinette and insisting that the two go join the family in the big sitting room. When they entered, they found everyone staring at the television, where a news story was flashing on the screen. As the Anchor continued to talk, a picture of whatever had caught the family’s interest appeared on the screen and-
“well shit, Timmy, can’t you even pretend to be low key?” Jason’s question made the other boy groan and throw himself into a chair.
“I tried, Jason. I tried. It wasn’t until we were almost to the car that someone saw us.” He glanced at the image on the TV, “at least M can’t be seen clearly. That went correctly.” Jason snorted derisively and let himself fall back into his seat.
“how long do you think before the conspiracy theories start flying?” at his question, Marinette looked up from where she was scrolling through her phone.
“oh, those have already started. Half of Twitter thinks I’m Tim’s Girlfriend.” The room erupted in laughter and the siblings moved to accommodate the teens before turning back to the news.
Bruce smiled at his children as they started to stumble down the stairs. First, Marinette had come down from her room. The 14-year-old had taken the holiday to swap out her jeans and long-sleeved tees for a pair of leggings and a long green top that settled mid-thigh. Although her clothes weren’t festive, per say, you could tell she had thought her appearance through very carefully. At this point, Bruce mused, he wouldn’t expect anything less from the budding fashion designer.
Next had come Tim, somewhere around 5 am. The teen had also changed from his Pajamas into what Bruce realized was an outfit Marinette had planned. Black joggers, black tee peeking out from under a red hoodie, and a pair of slippers that Bruce suspected were actually his.
Once the two had curled up together gripping their coffee, Dick and Jason appeared. They too had forgone the customary pjs for joggers, in Dicks case, and sweats in Jason’s. Dick was wearing a deep blue hoodie that was almost back, with…OH that must have been Marinette’s doing who else was going to make a custom hoodie for Dick that displayed his Nightwing symbol so subtly. Jason on the other hand…Marinette clearly had put less into being subtle with him. instead of a deep garnet that could blend into the bat symbol on his chest, the hoodie was a bright glaring red. On the back, in cursive, the name “Red Hoodie” had been sewn. Bruce held back a laugh of disbelief at the ease the girl had used to sneak the hoodies into the boy’s wardrobe.
While Bruce was marveling at his daughter’s creativity and sneakiness, Cass slipped in and settled next to him. she too was wearing a hoodie that Bruce now recognized as one of Marinette’s. it was black on black with white outlining the bat symbol. At his look of amusement, Cass handed him the hoodie in her hands.
It was black like hers, except much bigger and completely devoid of color. As he inspected the hoodie, Bruce found a small selection of embroidery on the bottom hem. “dad, I didn’t want to do anything huge, but this is a thank you, and a small reminder that I love you. Stay safe, Marinette Cheng-Wayne” he smiled as he ran his fingers over the stitching.
When he glanced over at Cass again, he found her playing with the embroidery on her own hoodie where it met her leggings. Before he could turn and say anything to the designer, Damien made his presence known as he entered the room. The boy scowled at everyone before he plopped down on next to Marinette, on the side opposite of Tim. Bruce shook his head as he watched his two youngest interact, Damien in a green hoodie and sweats. The hoodie wasn’t anything special, except for the red lining and yellow accents that Marinette had obviously added as a nod to his hero persona.
Alfred came in shortly after and handed out coffee and Hot Cocoa. As the siblings woke up, they moved so that the family made a semi-circle around the tree. They pulled out their phones and started checked the time, texted their friends, and generally got accustomed to the early morning.
When Alfred came back to join them, toting two giant trash bags and a camera, Dick perked up, it was time to start handing out presents. As the young adult started moving through the room, the others sorted what he was handing them when they all were given boxes in an unfamiliar paper, many of the older ones traded confused glances with each other. When the last present had been distributed, everyone turned to Damien who glanced around in confusion. “what? Do I have something on my face?” the others laughed, and Marinette bumped him with her elbow.
“its not that, little brother, you are the youngest, so you go first. You open one and everyone else will take turns after until it comes back to you!” the boy rolled his eyes at her explanation, before reaching for the paper that the rest of the family knew signifies that the gift was from Alfred.
When the youngest had opened the parcel to reveal a selection of books on drawing and wildlife, Marinette smiled at him and nodded to Dick, who had ended up next to Damien. Dick flashed her a bright smile and opened his own present form Alfred. After Dick, Jason tugged off the paper on his box. Then, Cass who turned to Bruce with a prompting tilt of her head. After Bruce had opened his bag (really, Alfred! He didn’t need any more books on raising emotionally stable children. He had done well so far, right?) he nodded to Alfred who raised a pointed eyebrow at him (about what, Bruce wasn’t sure. He hadn’t done anything yet, had he? It was barely 6 in the morning!). Tim rolled his eyes at their interaction, before ripping open his own package and letting out a yelp of happiness at the stack of books that he found waiting for him.
After that, Marinette simply giggled at the family antics and opened her gift. When Damien reached for the next present, Alfred lifted his camera to capture the smiles that were flooding the room.
Somehow, Damien had left the unfamiliar papered gift for last. When he reached for it, he tried to do a mental tally to figure out who it could be from. First they had opened Alfred’s gifts, so it couldn’t be him. then they had moved onto Bruce’s then Jason’s. After that, they had gone through Cass’s (apparently, she was a notoriously bad gift giver) and his own. Then, Damien had reached for the ones he knew came from Marinette, before deigning to opened Tim’s. if they had opened all of the family presents, then…” Alfred, why are these under the family tree?” Dick’s question broke Damien from his thoughts. “shouldn’t we wait until the Kents get here to open these?” the old Butler shook his head and gestured for the vigilante to open the box.
When Dick did as instructed, he full on squealed. “How!” at the family’s confusion, the oldest of the siblings held up a card that had been nestled inside. The small crème square read ‘Complements of MCW’. As the family processed what they were seeing, all hell broke loose. The others tore into the boxes in front of them, and all found a personalized gift, and a matching Christmas sweater. No one noticed Marinette’s small smile at the chaos surrounding her, or that though she had the Christmas sweater, she didn’t have a personalized item to go with.
No one, that is, except Tim.
so, this is LATE, because the place im staying over the weekend has crazy spotty internet and i couldnt get Word to save anything. that said, i will also be uploading day 14, so keep an eye out for that today...

***SERIES MASTERSLIST***
You stood in the kitchen, pulling tonight's chicken from the oven, and placing it on the counter. You had gotten home from California pretty early, and as soon as you got home Jensen said he had to go and take care of some things in town.
That gave you some time to get a home cooked meal in the oven and cooked before he was due to arrive home. This was something you felt you didn't really do enough for him, not in the way that you felt you should, not really in the way you feel he deserves, especially with it being Christmas Eve. You thought it might be nice to have a good home cooked meal for him to come home to for once.
While the chicken was cooking you had cleaned the entire house, making it perfect and spotless for him. Now that the chicken was done you plugged in the Christmas tree he had wanted to decorate so badly, then finished the sides to go with your meal.
For the first time since you had moved into this house, it felt like a home. It was clean, there was a fresh dinner being put together, and the Christmas tree was shining in the corner. Everything felt perfect.
Everything was finished just as the sun went down behind the trees, and you heard Jensen coming through the front door. You heard a "wow" come from his lips as he made his way through the house, and you had to bite your lip to hide the proud smirk that he'd noticed your work while he was away.
"Baby? Where are you?" you heard him call from the living room.
"In the kitchen!" you yelled back.
You could hear his heavy footsteps making his way closer to the kitchen before he stopped right behind you. You could literally feel the heat radiating off his strong body. He was so close to you, before he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you tightly to his chest before placing a soft kiss on the top of your forehead.
"Sweetheart, you didn’t have to do all of this!" he said, looking down at the small feast you had created for the two of you, eyes wide and mouth opened slightly.
Turning around in his arms, you wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling his lips closer to yours, and giving him a soft kiss before pulling away.
"I thought we could use some food that wasn't processed, or come from some fast food place. We've eaten out all weekend."
You ran your hand across his thick chest and watched the shiver leave his body as he pressed closer to you.
"You know I don't deserve you don't you." he said, holding onto you. His green eyes were boring into yours, like he was trying to transfer all the things he was feeling that he couldn't say to you.
"Actually I'd say that was the other way around. I really don't deserve you." you tell him, putting your head against his shoulder, feeling his arms tighten around you.
"That's bull.You're everything I've ever wanted, don't you forget it either." he said, kissing the top of your hair.
After the two of you had eaten, Jensen wanted to help you clean up the kitchen. He refused to let you do it alone. He complimented you over and over again, barely even letting go of your hand while the two of you ate, like he just wanted more than anything to be closer to you.
"Why don't you go and get a shower sweetheart, and I'll go and set up everything in the living room, and we'll binge watch (your favorite show) and cuddle." he said, nuzzling into your neck,making a warm heat pool through you.
Giving him a quick peck on the lips, you made your way to the shower, and as quickly as possible did what you needed to do, pulling your hair up into a messy bun, and drying and dressing quickly. This is what you wanted more than anything. To be alone, wrapped safely in Jensen's arms. Just the two of you.
When you stepped down into the living room all the lights were off, the Christmas tree was lit, and Netflix was paused, and waiting for you. Jensen had obviously jumped in the guest shower and gotten into his PJ's too. He was sitting on the floor, surrounded by pillows and blankets,waiting for you with a bottle of wine on ice, and two empty wine glasses.
When he heard you come in, he smiled at you and patted the floor next to him. No matter how many times you saw that smile it took your breath away. Staggering over to where he was waiting, you sat as close to him as possible, watching him pour wine into the glasses. He handed you one and pulled you as closely to him as possible,reaching over and turning on the TV, but keeping the volume low.
"I got something for you." he said, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a small black box from his pocket with a little red bow on it.
"Oh Jensen, you shouldn't have gotten me anything! I didn't get to go to get you anything." you tell him as he takes the box ,and places it in your hands, pulling you tight to his chest.
"You've already given me everything sweetheart. Some things I didn't even know I needed. I'm sorry I wasn't there when I should have been, but I'm going to make it up to you now. I love you so much."
He pulled your lips to his in a soft, yet passion filled kiss.
"Open it!!" he said, bouncing in his spot, looking more childish and cute than a grown man should ever have the right to.
Pulling the little red ribbon tied up around the box, you opened it slowly. Opening it you saw the most beautiful victorian wedding set you had ever seen. Your jaw hit the floor.You loved vintage things. Especially the Victoria error. You didn't think he knew.
You never had a wedding ring. Your wedding was so untraditional, and you never paid it any attention until now. A tear fell from your eyes, and he gently wiped it away, drawing your attention back to him.
"Oh Jensen it's gorgeous!" Was all you could stagger out, your emotions choking you.
He gave you a soft smile, brushing the loose hair out of your face.
"It's nothing compared to you."
Pulling you into yet another passion filled kiss, he slipped the ring from the box and took your left hand, sliding the ring onto your finger.
He turned your hand over in his hand,looking at your rings on your finger. You only just noticed that he wore a solid gold band on his left hand as well, something he hadn't done since he had gotten married to you.
His lips were on you again in an instant, this time hungry. He licked your lower lip, begging for entrance which you happily granted. You wanted nothing more than to feel him. To be close to him.
Laying you down on the makeshift bed he had made on the floor his hands slowly started to roam your body. His mouth never leaves yours as his hands made little trails over your skin.
He ran his hand up your shirt feeling the soft skin of your sides and stomach, before coming in contact with your bare breast, a moan falling from both your lips. His fingers were gently massaging and playing with the sensitive flesh of your nipples.
"I need you sweetheart. I want to make love to you."
Your voice was caught in your throat. You couldn't answer, and to be honest he didn't really give you much time to do so before his mouth was on yours again in a heated, passionate kiss. breaking it to shed the two of you from your shirts. He made quick work of shedding his bottom layers, then yours, kissing a trail all the way to your hips then back up to your breast. Taking them in your mouth one by one, his tongue lightly traced the peaks before moving back down your stomach. Your body felt like it was on fire, arching into him.
Jensen kissed you down to your knees, then back up again, leaving little kisses on the inside of your thighs. When he saw you were completely lost in what he was doing to your body, eyes closed, head back he made a gentle trail with his tongue through your already wet folds,causing a gasp to fall from your mouth.
Looking up at you, you still had your eyes closed, so he again started his assault on your clit. His tongue lapping at your center like a man starved, increasing speed, then gently again,his sinful mouth driving you closer and closer to the edge.
You could feel the heat begin to pool in your lower belly, the coil tightening in your lower stomach quickly ready to snap. Then he added two of his long, thick digits, pumping them slowly into you.
That was it, that was all it took for you to fall to pieces around him, your vision spotting in front of you, a deep gasp falling from your lips as you pulsed around his fingers.
He gently slowed his ministrations until you came completely down from your high. His other hand was stroking his hard length.
Slowly, he withdrew his fingers from you, you whimpered at the loss of contact, but he didn't leave you empty long, sliding his thick length into you while you were still a little high from your orgasm.
You moaned at the stretch he had created in you pumping himself into you slowly,never pulling out all the way, grinding your bodies against each other.
His name fell from your lips as he continued to drive both of you closer and closer to your release.
"Your so beautiful sweetheart." he mumbled through moans, kissing you deeply as he continued to drive your bodies together. You could feel the coil tighten again in your lower belly.
"Jensen… I'm close...''
He picked up his pace just a little, still keeping your bodies held close together.
"I know sweetheart, me too."
Sliding his hand down between your two bodies he slowly started to circle your clit with his fingers in time with his thrust. Before you knew what was happening you were falling over the edge again, his name a prayer on your lips. You felt for a moment like you were going to pass out as you felt him spill himself deep inside of you, kissing your neck and grunting deeply.
Finally when both of your bodies had stilled, Jensen slowly removed himself from you, and pulled you closer to him, laying your head on his chest as his strong arms wrapped around you.
"I love you so much Y/N" he said again for what felt like the thousandth time today, but you didn't think you'd ever get tired of hearing it.
"I love you to Jensen."
Both of you drifted off to sleep on your makeshift bed under the light of the christmas tree,Netflix forgotten in the background.
You didn't ever think Christmas could be this good, or that you'd ever be this happy; yet here you where.

The Littlest Timelord: The Fall of the Eleventh Chapter 45
TITLE: The Littlest Timelord: The Fall of the Eleventh Chapter 45 PAIRING: No Pairing RATING: T CHAPTER: 45/? SUMMARY: Elise Smith is now a teenaged Timelord. In addition to losing the Ponds, the fields of Trenzalore are calling. But first they have to figure out exactly who Clara Oswald is.
[A/N -This one is a bit longer because I couldn’t find a good enough place to split it. I got a few more surprises planned for the last chapter is next and then we move into the Christmas special! I can’t believe we (and Elise) have come this far.]
“I now pronounce you man and wife,” the priest said.
Clara cheered.
“You may kiss the bride.”
Elizabeth grabbed Ten’s face and kissed him.
“Is there a lot of this in the future?” the older Doctor asked.
“It does start to happen, yeah,” the Doctor told him.
“God speed, my love,” Elizabeth told Ten.
“I will be right back.”
They all ran into the TARDIS and Ten started her up.
“Right then, back to the future,” the Doctor said.
Elise looked around the control room and smiled.
“You've let this place go a bit,” the older Doctor said.
“Ah, it's his grunge phase. He grows out of it,” the Doctor said.
Elise hit him on the arm. “I happen to like it.”
“Yeah, you always did.”
“Don't you listen to them,” Ten told the console.
An alarm started going off and the console shocked him as the console room changed again. This time to a room with white walls.
“The desktop is glitching,” Ten said.
“Three of us from different time zones. It's trying to compensate,” the older Doctor told him.
“Hey, look. The round things,” the Doctor said to his younger incarnation.
“I love the round things.”
“What are the round things?”
“No idea.”
“Oh dear, the friction contrafibulator.” The Doctor ran to the console and flipped a switch. “Ha! There, stabilized.”
They were standing in the console room that Elise and Clara were used to.
“Oh, you've redecorated. I don't like it,” Ten told the Doctor.
“Oh. Oh yeah? Oh, you never do.”
Ten frowned.
“Listen, we're going to the National Gallery. The Zygons are underneath it.”
“No, UNIT HQ. They followed us there in the Black Archive,” Clara told them.
All three Doctors looked at her.
“Okay, so you've heard of that, then.”
“Lucky for us, I have a way to contact the Black Archive.” He pressed a few buttons and they heard Kate’s voice. “You really think so? Somewhere in your memory is a man called Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge Stewart. I am his daughter.”
“Science leads, Kate. Is that what you meant? Is that what your father meant?” the Doctor asked her.
“Doctor?”
“Space-Time Telegraph, Kate. A gift from me to your father, hotline straight to the TARDIS. I know about the Black Archive and I know about the security protocol. Kate, please. Please tell me you are not about to do something unbelievably stupid.”
“I'm sorry, Doctor. Switch it off.”
“Not as sorry as you will be. This is not a decision you will ever be able to live with,” Ten told her.
“Please listen to them, Kate!” Elise begged. She’d seen the damage the decision had done to her father.
The TARDIS lurched.
“Kate, we're trying to bring the TARDIS in. Why can't we land?” the Doctor asked.
“I said, switch it off,” Kate said.
“No, Kate, please. Just listen to me!”
The telegraph cut off.
“The Tower of London, totally TARDIS-proof,” Ten said.
“How can they do that?” Clara asked.
“Alien technology plus human stupidity. Trust me, it's unbeatable,” the Doctor told her.
The older Doctor looked at the stasis cube sitting on the console. “We don't need to land.”
“Yeah, we do. A tiny bit. Try and keep up,” Ten said.
“No, we don't. We don't. There is another way.” He picked up the stasis cube. “Cup-a-soup. What is cup-a-soup?”
The Doctor smiled and ran for the front door as Ten and Elise flew the TARDIS.
“Next time,” she muttered, “Next time you redesign the desktop, there better be a phone connected to the console!”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” Ten said.
Elise blushed.
The Doctor came back to the console. “It’s all taken care of.”
They placed their hands on the stasis cube. When Elise opened her eyes, they were in Gallifrey Falls.
Her hearts started beating quickly as memories bombarded her. Memories she thought she had forgotten. Of the screaming and the smell of death.
She fell to her knees with her hands on her head. Ten helped her up and she wrapped her arms around him, his scent calming her. She remembered clinging to him as the Timelords were sucked back into the Time War just leaving him and her and Wilf in the mansion. She remembered how scared she was and how gently he tucked her into bed that night.
He’d been dying, but he cared for her as best he could.
“Exterminate!”
The three Doctors turned to the Dalek with their sonic screwdrivers. It went crashing out of the painting into the Black Archive.
The Timelords stepped out and Elise fell to her knees again.
Clara wrapped her arm around the girl.
“Hello,” the older Doctor said.
“I'm the Doctor,” Ten told them.
“Sorry about the Dalek,” the Doctor said.
“Also the showing off,” Clara added.
The Doctor stalked up to Kate. “Kate Lethbridge Stewart, what in the name of sanity are you doing?”
“The countdown can only be halted at my personal command. There's nothing you can do,” Kate told them.
“Except make you both agree to halt it,” Ten said.
“Not even for three of you.”
“You're about to murder millions of people,” the older Doctor said.
“To save billions. How many times have you made that calculation?”
1:36 remained on the clock.
“Once. Turned me into the man I am now. I'm not even sure who that is any more,” the Doctor told her.
“You tell yourself it's justified, but it's a lie. Because what I did that day was wrong. Just wrong,” Ten said.
“And, because I got it wrong, I'm going to make you get it right.”
The two Doctors pulled up a set of chairs and sat down, putting their feet up on the table.
“How?” Kate asked.
“Any second now, you're going to stop that countdown. Both of you, together,” Ten said.
“Then you're going to negotiate the most perfect treaty of all time,” the Doctor added.
“Safeguards all round, completely fair on both sides.”
“And the key to perfect negotiation?”
“Not knowing what side you're on.”
They both stood up and took out their sonic screwdrivers.
“So, for the next few hours, until we decide to let you out…”
“No one in this room will be able to remember if they're human…”
“Or Zygon.”
“Whoops a daisy.”
Ten jumped onto the table, the Doctor following. They all soniced the memory filter in the ceiling.
The countdown now said 7.
“Cancel the detonation!” both Kate’s yelled.
“Peace in our time,” the Doctor said.
They jumped down and the two Kate’s discussed the treaty while Elise looked around the Black Archive.
“I’ve missed you.”
Elise jumped and saw her father’s previous incarnation standing beside her. “How can you miss me? You don’t even know who I am!”
“I know your favorite flowers are sunflowers. You’re constantly reading books, but you also love to paint and draw. You rarely sleep anymore because of nightmares and I know that underneath all your attitude is a scared little girl. You just don’t want him to know.”
Elise looked over at her father, standing with the Kate’s.
“I know so much about you. You’re my best friend and I miss you.”
Elise felt her hearts break. His brown eyes were so sad when he looked at her. Just like in the Naismith Mansion. Before he regenerated.
Clara ran over to the Doctor. “He’s gone. I think he’s going to do it. We have to stop him.”
Elise started to walk to her TARDIS, but Ten grabbed her wrist.
“Please. One more time.”
Elise had never met this Doctor before today, but he clearly needed this so she went with him into his TARDIS.
He put her in flight and she swayed and lurched.
“You are a worse driver than my father!” Elise yelled.
“You love it!”
The TARDIS landed and the two were thrown to the floor.
Elise started laughing and Ten helped her up.
“Thank you,” he told her.
Elise smiled at him. “No, thank you.” She’d never really gotten the chance to get to know him and as much as this day had been taxing on her, she was glad she got to meet him. And it was obvious that she met him some time in her future.
They stepped out of the TARDIS and saw the older Doctor standing there in front of a big red button.
“I told you. He hasn’t done it yet,” Clara said.
Elise looked around. “It’s the barn. The barn you told me about as a child.”
“Go away now, all of you. This is for me,” the older Doctor said.
“These events should be time-locked. We shouldn't even be here,” Ten said.
“Well by that logic, I shouldn’t be here and yet here I am,” Elise told him.
“So something let us through,” the Doctor said.
“Go back. Go back to your lives. Go and be the Doctor that I could never be. Make it worthwhile,” the older Doctor said. He placed his hand on the button.
“All those years, burying you in my memory,” Ten said.
“Pretending you didn't exist. Keeping you a secret, even from myself,” the Doctor added.
“Pretending you weren't the Doctor, when you were the Doctor more than anybody else.”
“You were the Doctor on the day it wasn't possible to get it right.”
They approached him.
“But this time…”
“You don't have to do it alone.”
They put their hands on the button.
“Thank you,” the older Doctor said.
“What we do today is not out of fear or hatred. It is done because there is no other way,” Ten said.
“And it is done in the name of the many live we are failing to save,” the Doctor said. He looked at Clara, who was shaking her head.
Elise stood there with tears in her eyes but like when they lost the Ponds, she wasn’t crying.
“Clara? What? What is it? What?” the Doctor asked her.
“Nothing.”
“No, it's something. Tell me.”
“You told me you wiped out your own people. I just. I never pictured you doing it, that's all.”
The barn around them went dark and they were standing in the Time War. The buildings were burning and families were screaming.
Elise felt like she was a child again and the dam burst. Tears flowed down her cheeks and she let out a scream.
The Doctor rushed to her side and he wrapped his arms around her. He pressed his forehead to her temple and he saw the Elise he’d rescued. The one with the big fearful blue eyes. This Elise clung to him like she had in the Naismith Mansion.
Her fingernails dug into his coat as she rocked back and forth. It’d been a while since she’d had a meltdown and today was just much for her to handle.
“What's happening?” Clara asked.
“Nothing. It's a projection,” the older Doctor said.
“These are the people you're going to burn?”
“There isn't anything we can do,” Ten said, looking at Elise crying uncontrollably in her father’s arms. He walked over to them and took Elise from the Doctor as he stood up.
The Doctor turned to Clara. “He’s right. There isn't another way. There never was. Either I destroy my own people or let the universe burn.”
“Look at you. The three of you. The warrior, the hero, and you.”
“And what am I?”
“Have you really forgotten?”
“Yes. Maybe, yes.”
“We've got enough warriors. Any old idiot can be a hero.”
“Then what do I do?”
“Be a Doctor.” He turned around and saw Elise standing. She wiped at her eyes, while Ten rubbed her back. “When I was younger, she said the name you choose is a promise. What was it?”
“Never cruel or cowardly,” Ten said.
“Never give up, never give in,” the older Doctor added.
The images around them faded and they were standing back in the barn.
“You're not actually suggesting that we change our own personal history?” Ten asked.
“We change history all the time. I'm suggesting far worse,” the Doctor said.
“What, exactly?” the older Doctor asked.
“Gentlemen, I have had four hundred years to think about this. I've changed my mind.” The Doctor soniced the red button back into the box.
“There's still a billion billion Daleks up there, attacking,” the older Doctor said.
“Yeah, there is. There is.”
“But there's something those billion billion Daleks don't know,” Ten told him.
“Because if they did, they'd probably send for reinforcements,” the Doctor added.
“What? What don't they know?” Clara asked.
“This time, there's three of us.”
“Oh! Oh, yes, that is good. That is brilliant!” the older Doctor said.
“Oh, oh, oh, I'm getting that too! That is brilliant!” Ten said, catching onto the plan.
“Ha, ha, ha! I've been thinking about it for centuries,” the Doctor told them.
“She didn't just show me any old future, she showed me exactly the future I needed to see,” the older Doctor cried.
“Eh? Who did?” the Doctor asked.
“Oh, Bad Wolf girl, I could kiss you!”
“Sorry, did you just say Bad Wolf?” Ten asked.
“So what are we doing? What's the plan?” Clara asked.
“The Dalek fleets are surrounding Gallifrey, firing on it constantly,” the older Doctor said.
“The Sky Trench is holding, but what if the whole planet just disappeared?” Ten asked.
“Tiny bit of an ask,” Clara said.
“I’m sorry. Wait. Back up. What do you mean disappear?” Elise asked.
“The Daleks would be firing on each other. They'd destroy themselves in their own crossfire,” Ten explained.
“Gallifrey would be gone, the Daleks would be destroyed, and it would look to the rest of the universe as if they'd annihilated each other,” the older Doctor said.
“But where would Gallifrey be?” Clara asked.
“Frozen. Frozen in an instant of time, safe and hidden away,” Ten said.
“Exactly,” the Doctor said.
It finally hit Elise. “Like a painting.”

fall
"Shouldn't you be studying?" You looked up from your phone when you heard your dorm mate's husky voice. "Piss off frat." You huffed and you returned your gaze back at your screen. "I didn't know you participated in these kinds of events, Gilmore, especially a carwash. I like it. Will we be seeing you on top of our cars soon?" Calum laughed when you rolled your eyes at the nickname Calum gave you when the two of you met for the first time.
You had moved in a week before classes started, Calum arrived on the final moving day, the Friday before the start of the year. He threw his stuff in his room and tried to introduce himself, the cool and popular frat boy, to his new roommate, a girl with her hair bundled up in two messy braids and surrounded with empty to-go coffee cups. You were already studying when he first entered the shared living room. In the background, an episode of Gilmore Girls was playing. “It’s white noise for me.” You explained when he asked why the television was on but you weren’t really watching it. “It helps me study.” You shrugged and re-focused on your schoolwork. “My name Calum by the way, if you were interested.” He sighed and that was that. The two of you would exchange some greetings when you ran into each other in the dorm but you would completely ignore each other on campus. A few weekends in, Calum walked into the living room again, all dressed up for the first frat party of the year. You were watching Gilmore Girls, again, and drinking coffee, again. “Well Gilmore,” Calum started, “are you going to be a buzzkill and watch this show the whole evening or are you going to be fun and come to this party with me?” “What do you think, frat boy.” You respond lazily and paused the show. Calum lifted one eyebrow, a cocky expression appearing on his face. A deep sigh escaped your lips. “You know what. You just go your way, I’ll go mine. Ok?” Calum shrugged. “Okay.” “And you know, if we’re ever meant to be friends, which I doubt, I’ll meet you there. Now, let me watch my show in peace, and please don’t be too loud when you come barging in with some blonde sorority chick?” The boy laughed, shook his head, and nodded in agreement. “Sure Gilmore, whatever you want.”
“Wait…” Calum says, “Don’t tell me you’re actually in a sorority and you’re not some weird study girl who goes to college only to get a diploma?” “I am not.” You answered annoyed, “I’m only doing this because a friend needed some extra hands.” Calum chuckled. “So, what do you want, frat boy?” You asked, finally putting away your phone. “I want what everybody wants,” he shrugged, “I want to have my car washed by one of those sexy sorority girls.” You rolled your eyes and accepted the money Calum gave you, in exchange for a carwash ticket. “You can leave your car there,” you explained to him, pointing to the parking space on your left side. “Some of those sexy sorority girls will be there any minute.” Calum took the ticket from your hands, his fingertips brushing against the palm of your hands. The touch felt hot against your skin, making you pull your hand back as fast as possible. Calum didn’t seem to notice your reaction to the touch, as he tucked away the little paper in his short, before jogging back to his friends.
"Oof, it's hot out today." The voice of Calum seemed to haunt you today. “Did not expect to see you on top of a car. How’s the weather up there Roomie?" You sighed, rolled your eyes, and looked down into Calum's dark brown eyes. "Wouldn't you like to know, weather boy." You said with a sarcastic tone and lifted your eyebrows awaiting a snarky comment from the brown-haired boy. Calum chuckled, shook his head, and pushed his friends towards the other cars. "C'mon mates, let's see if our cars are not dented and let vine girl here do her job." He and his friends walked away to a new victim to annoy. You shook your head, kind of confused that Calum didn't bite back and you finished washing the car.
“You’re SO owning me one.” You hissed at your friend when you attempted to get all the soap off of your clothes. “Of course,” your friend laughed, “I’ll buy you all the coffee and carrot cake you want, okay?” A genuine smile appeared on your face when you embraced your friend. “Yes, I’d like that very much.” “Now?” “Now, please.”
++
The first few weeks of university flew by and before you knew it Halloween was coming up. You and Calum were on relatively speaking terms after the carwash conversation and were actually able to have some sort of conversation. You would talk about some of the classes you were taking, the food you wanted to order, asking if the other person would also like some tacos, and there was even some small talk about the possibility of hosting one of many Halloween parties on campus. "The fuck is all this?" Calum asked when entering the dorm room after a long day of lectures and studying. "It's frikking bats." You responded, proudly looking at your Halloween decorations. "I love Halloween.” Calum chuckled, hearing you use one of his favorite vines. “I love that vine.” You turned around with such speed you needed to reach for the couch to steady yourself. “You? Love vines?” You asked excitingly. “Um yeah. Of course, I do. I’m not some crazy person who doesn’t know the world's greatest comedy alive?!” “I’m starting to like you more and more, weather boy.” “You’re not so bad yourself, Gilmore.”
++
The Halloween party was a success. Not only because everybody showed up and the campus police had to shut it down but also because you and Calum finally understood each other and were developing an actual friendship. The two of you would hang out on campus and would go out for lunch together every other Saturday. When you arrived at your favorite coffee house, ordered your favorite breakfast, you would sit down on the faded, brown leather couches overlooking the campus. “God I really needed this coffee.” You sighed when you took your first sip. “These tests and papers are kicking my ass.” Calum patted on your head to let you know he felt for you and took a bite of his chocolate chip pancakes. “Just two more weeks and it’s Christmas break. We’re almost there, Gilmore.” You nodded and nuzzled yourself on the big couch, watching the people walking outside and waiting at the register.
“It’s so weird seeing that girl with that guy. They totally don’t fit together.” You felt the eyes of the two blonde sorority girls, standing near the register, burning on your skin. You tapped Calum on his leg, trying to get his attention. “Girls are talking about us again.” You whispered and took another sip of your cappuccino. Calum shrugged and patted your leg. “So what if they’re talking. I don’t really care. I’d rather sit here with you and be talked about, than stand there with those two blondes and being talked about.” A smile crept on your face and you tried to ignore the two girls talking about you.
“You know what I heard though.” “What?” “They are roommates.”
“’Mah god, they are roommates.” The two of you mumbled in sync.
++
It was a typical Saturday night on campus, everybody either went out or went on dates. When Calum finally emerged from the bathroom after taking an hour to get himself ready he puts up a little fashion show for you. “And?” Calum asked, attempting to impersonate runway models. “Don’t I look dapper.” You looked up from your book and checked Calum out. He’s wearing his white button-up shirt, which hugs his arms perfectly, a classic pair of black jeans and some black loafers. You slowly bit your lip when you looked into the boy's brown eyes. “Yes…” you said softly. The boy smiled back and walked towards the door to get his coat and steals one last glance in the mirror. “Well, I’ll be seeing you tomorrow. Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.” Calum joked and he looked at you, all tucked in under your favorite blanket on your favorite lazy chair. For a second Calum doubted if he should leave. For a second he wondered what it would be like to just stay here and maybe cuddle with you under the big pile of blankets, watching your favorite series and having you falling asleep against his chest. The thoughts got rudely interrupted by your sweet voice.
“Bye Calum!” You shooed and you gave him a small wave. "And remember.” You said quickly when Calum opened the door. Calum looked at you hopefully, hoping you would ask him to come home early, asking him not to leave, but you didn’t seem to notice the change in his eyes when you continued your sentence.
"Nobody will ever be able to hate you more than you already hate yourself.” And with that remark, your attention went back to the book you were holding in your hand. Calum closed the door leaving you behind with a soft sigh, failing to see you wiping away a single tear.
With the sound of the closing door, you threw your book away in frustration and buried your face in Calum’s green hoodie you used as an extra pillow. Sniffing the familiar scent of your roommate you thought back to a few weeks ago. Ever since the Halloween party, something had shifted in the friendship between the two of you.

who lives, who dies, who tells your story
(i fucking cried again. oops. god i need to stop making these angsty.) for full effect play the song This will end or Thus to always tyrants by the oh hellos for full effect... :,D the final installment of thursday and the gude to the other side.
start: thursday previous: a guide to the other side pt 10
taggs: @idkanameatall
warnings!: majour charachter death. mourning and mentions of murnder. cursing, extreme angst aswell...
good ending this time - the after math of janus loosing his other half. he gains more than he could have wished for-
Forgiveness? Can you imagine?
Janus stared blankly around his room. The walls were grey and reversed coloured sunflowers sat growing from the cracks lining the floor. those were just a few things the sides were barely getting used to. things…had not been the same since that day only a month ago now.
Only the dark sides had known Theodore… the others had only known him for a single day. Thomas hadn’t even met the other… and they hadn’t even brought up what had happened for Janus to completely shut off.
Logan sat next to Janus, the other staring blankly at the wall of the room. Not paying any mind to the logical side… and Logan looked on with such pain. his husband was mourning. But why did it feel like Janus had gone with him in that moment. A husk of who he previously had been
He wondered if Janus would be smiling if Logan had been paying attention. That if Logan had noticed wrath only a couple seconds sooner… would Theodore still be alive? if he had been in Theodore’s place…would he smile knowing his brother was alive. “I love you…” Logan whispered as he rested his head on the other, who seemingly didn’t even notice. Logan felt his lip quiver at the lack of response… he knew that the other was mourning. But he wished that he didn’t shut himself down like this. It hurt to watch him deteriorate like this.
Three soft knocks alerted Logan to the fact someone was at the door. But before he could say anything. The door creaked open. A startled Patton stood at the door looking in with worry and confusion laced in his eyes.
“Logan… you’ll want to see this.” Patton said shakily, “you too Janus.” Janus stared at Patton blankly before nodding. Logan wondered if it was because he could tell Patton was retaining information from them.
“I um… just want to warn you. We have no idea how this happened…” he motioned for them to follow.
Logan kept an eye on Janus as they made their way down the stairs. But they both stopped mid-way down as they heard the voices. small, high pitched like giggles.
For the first time in a month Janus seemed to slightly snap out of his trance. “what?” Janus whispered, barely audible to the other. Logan had to pick up his pace as he watched the other speed up to catch up with Patton.
They arrived in the commons to see three small children. And three very distressed older sides. Virgil had hidden himself up on top of a bookshelf. roman and Remus were seemingly looking at the small children with absolute confusion and wariness.
“who… are they?” Logan asked. Patton only gestured for them to go forwards. Remus smiled as he watched Janus move forwards. Happy the other was feeling fractionally better, even if this was a minor distraction.
One of the children had ruffled hair, wild as can be. His orange rain jacket was tied to his waist revealing a blank white top. He looked around ten. the next looked only seven or eight. His hair was almost platinum white save for a small brown streak in his hair. Almost opposite to Remus’s. he wore a white skirt and light grey top.
The smallest startled Janus gravely. A six-year-old. His hair went down to his shoulders. A pink carnation hair pin keeping his har out of his face. he wore the same as orange. The almost burnt orange was replaced by a pastel pink.
Janus felt himself give out under his own mental weight. Tears pooling in his eyes as he saw the small child.
The eldest child looked at him in surprise. Before surging forwards and spewing questions. Asking if he was alright. Saying he would smack anything that had hurt him. the second was nervous but slowly crept forwards wrapping Janus in a small hug. the youngest was confused. He had been fine with the other two. Was he scary? he didn’t think he could have been. He had been concerned. He felt the wave of sadness, nay… depression roll of the other as soon as he had walked into the room.
He hopped of his place on the seat and made his way closer. “you… you look so much like him.”
The youngest snapped his head over to the side who stood next to the cardigan clad one who had called himself Patton. “who?” he asked curiously. “his brother…” he muttered back.
The feeling seemed to click in his mind. The one crying was mourning.
It had taken ten minutes for Janus to calm down enough to finally come to grips that there were children in front of himself. “may I ask…your purposes?” Janus asked shakily, worried about what they’d say.
“I’m wrath, but you can just call me Orpheus!” orange cheered joyfully. “I’m…insanity, Samuel.” He said, looking at the other nervously. “sadness! nice to meet you! My name is atlas!” he said joyfully.
Janus smiled weakly at them all, “I’m deceit… you can call me Janus. Its nice to meet you all,” he smiled sadly, but at the same second… Logan caught a small glimpse of hope in the other’s eyes.
Forgiveness? Can you imagine?
The first time it had happened was on a Thursday afternoon when Janus had begun to get overwhelmed. Logan had been the first to spot the others sudden tension. Something said must have threw him off. He took Janus’s hand and hold it tightly. Getting a small squeeze in response.
Logan’s head snapped up as he saw roman, Remus and Patton getting louder over something that was said. and before he knew it a figure appeared in the corner of his eyes just as Virgil tumbled down a couple stairs.
“can you three shut up?” the side said, eyes blazing orange as he glared ‘maliciously’ (he was yet to get that down to an art).
“why is there a child in my house?” Thomas said almost immediately. “oh…” roman muttered, his face flushing red as he looked at the grumpy small child.
Logan let out a sigh as the child stepped over one of Virgil’s leg and walking over to Janus. Giving him a hug as best as he could. “Thomas, this is the new wrath,” Logan said slowly. “hi tommy,” the child muttered as he held the snake. “hello to you too…” Thomas said still completely in shock from the news.
“wait- what do you mean new wrath?” roman looked at Janus who had snapped out of his dazed state. He got a sharp nod from the other as he sunk down. “Janus…killed the old one.” “…what?” Thomas asked startled by what he had heard.
“in his defence,” Remus continued,” he did kill his brother.”
Thomas clearly confused by what he heard; the others told him what had happened. Start to finish. From when Patton first saw the staff to how the small sides appeared suddenly in the mindscape.
Janus followed Ophie towards their destination. The three of them had apparently been doing something in the far side since they had woken up on Monday that week. It was now a Saturday. he had been mildly confused to say the least. “hurry! We’ll be late,” the angry side said as he dragged the deceitful one behind himself. Janus let out a small chuckle.
They began to wonder down corridors. Each one familiar to Janus. A small ball of panic welling inside himself. “come on!” Orpheus ran ahead and opened a familiar pink and yellow marbled door, the paint looked fresh. No longer chipped. The snake head handle a shiny gold. the once dead plants that sat outside the room were blooming with life. He smiled at the door. It looked brand new. It looked the way it did when he had first been formed. He knew it wasn’t the same room however. That was still a few turns away.
But when he walked inside. It was different. But it had made him loose his breath. the walls were wooden, a soft grey carpet underfoot. A bright fire lit in a chimney. the beams up on the celling had fairy lights strung in pink and yellow. He felt his mind be thrown back to the past as he looked around.
A familiar lady came to mind. She was tall and always walked elegantly. Dressed like a librarian and smelled of wood and old books. Black leathery wings sat on her back. Her black hair showing grey streaks.
A teenager in his mind sat by the fire, warming his hands around a cup of coco.
“how did you do this,” he asked. memory after memory flooding in on him.
“roman had the original blueprints from years ago. With the help of Remus and Virgil, we were able to make a semi replica,” Ophie said. insanity smiled weakly from his place up on a beam. White feathery wings protruding from his back.
“do you like it?” atlas asked. “oh… there are no words to tell you how much I want to hug you three forever and never let go,” he sobbed. the three children smiled at the other with wide toothy happiness.
He got the three of them to sit down by the fire as he made some coco. Memorising her recipe had been simple. And he had never forgotten. he chuckled as he remembered Patton begging him near last Christmas for the recipe.
“mom! Logan’s here!” a voice yelled loudly. Janus seemed to freeze in his spot, what had just been said? Did they really? He placed a cup down gently on the counter. A small smile grazing his lips. if that’s how they saw him. Then he would try his best.
He picked up another cup from a coubard and poured some hot coco into it, knowing Logan would want some.
He picked up the tray of cups and made his way into the room. Insanity blushing madly into his hands as the other two giggled next to him. Logan looking at them fondly with a stunning smile on his face.
“where’s Remus?” he asked as Logan looked up to him. “cleaning up the last of the explanation with Patton,” he smiled as he took a cup from the tray.
Insanity looked between the two of them with a small smile. He knew that the three married people that had taken him under their wings, both literally and metaphorical, loved each other with a burning passion. One that couldn’t be denied by anyone or anything.
“so, is this where you grew up?” Logan asked as he looked around the room, “its beautiful. Stunning even,”
“yeah. I grew up with the dragon which raising me and…well. This was how her tower used to look,” Janus said, as if he were going down memory lane.
“hey you five guess what- holy fuck!” Remus said as he looked around the room, “it’s a fucking replica!” he yelled, mouth agape. “language!” Janus scolded playfully.
“you little shits actually did it…” he chuckled. “I thought you helped?” Logan said. “yeah, I showed pictures of the place from my younger more devious years,” he grinned, “but this is all them,” he spread his arms out and gestured everywhere.
“our sons are special? Aren’t they?” Janus said smirking as he took a sip from his cup. the three small sides looked at him with wide eyes. “our sons really are,” Remus grinned. “each one of them,” Logan added on.
Orpheus tried to speak. But his words were caught in his throat. atlas looked at them with stars in his eyes. insanity didn’t say anything before bursting int tears and running to Remus and hugging his legs tightly.
Janus could tell you lots of things at that moment. But the first thing that would always come to mind was that he did feel torn without his brother. But in that moment… for the first time in forever? He felt whole. the family he had forged laid in front of him. Love bursting out of the seams.
He didn’t know if he would trade it for anything.
If you see him in the street, walking by her Side,
Janus laid on the soft carpet grumpily. His children curled up on the sofa on top of Logan whilst Remus was cooking in the small kitchen.
They had practically moved into the tower after its creation. the other two hadn’t minded much. still seeing them on a daily basis. But for the first time in years they were having a Christmas in his home.
He rolled over onto his back and sighed. “I’m going to go into the imagination for a while,” Janus said as he stood up. “are you sure? In the middle of shedding?” Orpheus asked concerned. “yeah, I’m going to visit Theodore and your grandmother,” he said ruffling Orpheus’s hair.
The walk had been daunting and gruelling in his mind. This wasn’t the first time he wouldn’t have Theodore there for Christmas. But he knew there would be no other times. when he had disappeared. Sure, he was gone for a while, but at any point he could have returned.
But he was dead now. There was no other time. No more banter I the morning nor was there going to be the other to wake up to. And that had hit him hard that morning when he had almost said his name. “good morning Theo- “ he had said as he woke up in his bed. Looking over to see an empty spot.
Janus shook his head, banishing the thought for the time being and making his way through the mirror. the land was thick with white snow. Un spoken laughter rung in the air. imaginary forts of snow and twine sat abandoned in the snow. he tracked his way forwards. The snow crunching under his feet, the vapour of his breaths becoming frozen with every exhaled breath.
Ten minuets later and there he was. Standing in front of a gravestone placed in front o snow buried ruins.
“of all things… I never thought he would die so young,” a silky voice spoke from behind him, “but I knew deep down he would die protecting you my small hatchling.”
He laid down the fresh carnation crown on top of the pristine grave. he took a shaky breath, closing his eyes as he turned around. “open your eyes, I won’t disappear my child,” she chuckled weakly.
He did as he was told. He became breathless as he looked onwards. Everything inside him Turing off.
“mom?” he said before running forwards and wrapping the woman with a tight embrace. “I’m here my child. I’m here…” she said reassuringly as the other held on tightly. “I thought you died?” “no… I had managed to escape. My how handsome you look!” she crooned.
He laughed at her antics. “you and I have a lot to discuss,” she said.
Janus turned to the grave and let out a sigh. He could have sworn he saw a figure sitting on top. A warm smile on their face, waving happily at him. another one stood behind, grinning, burning amber eyes staring at Janus with such pride. a figure held the oranges hand. White silvery hair tied up into a bun. Eye filled with joy.
He knew they were waiting for him. But he knew they would wait as long as he needed. They would be angry if he arrived so soon. he gave a wave back, letting a tear pour from his eye. he blinked. And the figures were gone.
The two continued talking as they passed through the mirror, Janus telling his mother about his two husbands. Her saying something along the lines of ‘I knew you fell for him!’
They made their way down the halls, stories and laughter ringing in the air. “we best hurry, atlas gets nervous when I’m gone for too long,” “atlas? But that your shared name?” she said startled. “it used to be. But I’m thinking you’d like to meet your grandchildren,” he laughed, her eyes lighting up with sparks of her youth.
Atlas and the dragon which had gotten on like a matchstick on fire. Insanity was marvelled by her wings, so had Logan. Virgil and Remus had almost broken-down crying upon seeing her alive and well. Patton and Logan had been introduced along with the ‘terrible trio’ as they had begun to call themselves.
He used to hate celebrating Christmas only three years ago… now here he was, sitting in the middle of a family gathering with the smell of hot chocolate and gingerbread hanging in the air.
A Christmas tree that reached the celling took its normal place in the room. three stockings hung on the fireplace, filled to the brim with small things yet to be opened. It was the morning after all. presents were the last thing to be done.
“merry Christmas Theodore,” he whispered under his breath as he looked around the room.
talking by her side, have pity
Forty-five? Janus thought… that’s how old he was today. A warm smile on his face. the feeling inside him had grown slowly over the years. But today, he knew it was time much to his dismay.
It was time to join the others. his door opened as Remus came in, his stubble making him laugh as Logan rested his head in the crook of his neck. “how are you today sunflower?” he asked silently. “its time to go,” he muttered.
He felt the other shaking in his embrace. Wet tears dripping onto his shoulder. “oh sweetheart,” Janus said as he wrapped his arms around the other, “it’s okay,” he smiled.
“its not, todays the last day I see you before I won’t get to again,” he sobbed.
They held each other for a while longer. Remus shaking in his arms. He had been with him since that day Virgil had left. A small part of him felt like he was betraying him. He was leaving him here. But… he wouldn’t be alone. He had Logan and the others.
Remus let out a shaky breath and held Janus’s hand tightly, “come on then sunflower, let’s go.”
Thomas had been surprised none the less to see two of his sides appear so suddenly. especially when he saw tear tracks on Remus. “is everything okay? Did you get into a fight with one of the others?” he asked hastily. “no…” Remus said quietly, sending shivers up Thomas’s spine. he sounded so broken. “what’s wrong then?” he asked curiously. “I…came to say goodbye Thomas,” Janus said looking at the other, “my time here is up I’m afraid.”
Thomas looked at Remus who looked ready to burst into another round of tears and surged forwards. Wrapping his arms around his two sides.
“I can’t lose you,” Thomas whispered. “deaths a part of life Thomas, sometimes people leave sooner than you’d like to think,” Janus said, wiping a tear of his hosts cheek.
They talked for an hour or so, getting in their final goodbyes. Thomas let Janus film his goodbye to the sander’s fandom. Explaining they wouldn’t be seeing him anymore. He hoped they’d understand.
Then. He looked at Thomas one last time. Tears pouring down Thomas’s face as he watched his side sink out.
They went on to gather the side’s in the commons. “the last time we gathered like this pop was when Patton stole the last cookie,” atlas said fidgeting with his scarf, “this better be a good reason.”
“I do,” Janus said looking around the room, “my time… has come to an end. After today, I shall cease to exist,” he said.
The others looked at him before laughing. Janus looked at them with weary eyes and a sad smile. One by one. They realised this wasn’t a joke as Remus broke down into tears.
Logan stood up and threw himself on the snake. His breath hitching in his throat. the children, now teens, stared at their mother with nothing but grief.
No one spoke a word. “if this is…your final day. Then let’s do something that will make this day go out with a bang,” Samuel said, “how long do you have?” “at most eight hours,” Janus smiled as he held his husbands.
And that’s exactly what they did. They played games, watched a movie and went on a hike. Eating cake and junk food as they did so. they laughed and cried all day. Janus had never felt more love in his life than that day. and soon, the sun was down over the horizon, the moon peaking in the sky.
They made their way to one last destination. a pristine grave with a fresh pink carnation crown. And there standing and sitting in their places were his old family. One that had been waiting for him for years. “come on,” Theodore said holding out a hand, “lets go baby brother,” a grin growing on his face.
Janus felt tears fall down his face at his brother voice. “you’ve been brave enough, my snake,” wrath said holding out his hand. “you’ve made us so proud my child,” insanity spoke.
Janus turned around to look at the sides. They looked at him with sad smiles. Logan nodded to Janus. “go, we’ll be okay, you’ve been strong enough. Time for you to rest,” Logan said, trying to keep his smile on his face. “wait for us?” Remus said, not able to look at the other.
“I will,” Janus shuddered. he turned around to face the grave. Theodore stood up, letting his hands fall to his sides.
With the picture of his family safe and sound imprinted in his memory, he held out his hand. Theodore taking his.
The sides all went eyes wide as they saw the feint outline of the old side. A small smile on their faces as they realised, he would be in perfect hands.
A yellow light emanated from Janus, small pieces floating into the darkening sky. Slowly a mix of colours joined in.
“where do you think hes going?” atlas asked, tears pouring from his eyes.
They are going through the unimaginable
As the light reached the sky, small flecks of pink, orange and white joined the yellow as it floated away in the breeze.
“he’s going home,” Logan said.

Stars Aligned
It was a Christmas evening. They were spending the holidays at the farm, with ‘grandma’ Martha and ‘grandpa ‘Jonathan’. They insisted she should start calling them that. It was her second Christmas with The Kents. Her adoptive family, and they truly welcomed her like a real family from the first day.
The 8 year old girl had her hands around a mug of hot cocoa when an inexplicable feeling of anger hit her. It wasn’t explosive, rather passive. But it was there and self-reproach? This wasn’t coming from anyone around her. No, it was something of a more extraordinary nature. Perhaps her powers evolving? But deep in her heart, she knew it wasn’t it.
The adults were engaged in a conversation, about work, life in Metropolis, she didn’t care to follow. Her energetic brother Jon was too entertained opening presents. She looked at her mug, her marshmallows had melted. Then it struck her, disappointment,loneliness, all at once, not entirely whole and some parts that don’t fit anywhere. These feelings were overwhelming. Her eyes focused on Clark. She was still getting used to the idea of calling him dad. She stood, hesitating over whether or not telling him what was happening. Her dad’s warm, familiar smile gave her courage. She ran to him and threw her arms around his neck.
Immediately the whole family was concerned at her behavior.
-Clark, what’s the matter with little Rachel?
-Is she feeling unwell?
-honey, do you need me to...
Clark rubbed her back affectionately. “It’s alright. I’ll take care of it. Their adoptive daughter tended to repress her emotions, but he believed she was opening up to them, slowly.
“Maybe our little Rae, just wants more marshmallows for her hot coco.” He said, smiling warmly, taking her in his arms, carrying her to the kitchen.
“Hey, dad, that’s not fair!” Claimed Jon before they disappeared.
Raven calmed down eventually, and explained the best way she could this new experience to her adoptive father. Of course, Clark knew the nature of her empathic powers, however she was convinced this was completely different. She had found her place, was settled and happy with the Kents. The last thing she wanted was to cause trouble. Her kryptonian dad taught her not to fear her powers, but to take control of them.
“I don’t think it’s my powers growing or changing. This is different. I can feel it. Something or someone is connected to me now. It’s like he’s sharing his emotions with me.” She explained. There seemed to be no other reason for the emotions she felt. Not even her own. Clark recognized the worried expression on her face.
“Honey, I believe you. There’s nothing to be afraid of.” Clark smiled warmly and squeezed her small hand reassuringly. “ I have an idea of what’s happening. I think you’re experiencing your soulmate’s emotions.”
“A soulmate?” Violet eyes went wide as she questioned astonished. She was extremely lucky to have the Kents in her life. Now her adoptive father was telling her she had a soulmate. A fated partner. She was the devil’s spawn, only half human. Who could possibly accept her. Was life fooling her by giving her false hope?
“It’s extraordinarily uncommon, but I heard the number of cases have increased. You’ll feel the bond when they are experiencing intense feelings. It can be very difficult to handle at your age, but you have us.” Clark spoke calmly and quietly.
She was silent for while, lost in thoughts. “Dad, are you and mom Lois soulmates?” The girl asked out of curiosity.
Her father smiled brightly, his mind going back to old memories. “Yes, we are. Though the first time I was so alarmed and agitated, I shut it down for a while. It took us a few years to reconnect and accept it. Lois, nothing can stop her. Well, she’s always been Lois.” Dark shrugged smiling and ruffled his hair.
“An army brat. And you were a nerdy, brooding, farm-boy, Smallville. It’s good to hear you don’t forget there’s only one Lois Lane.” Lois was leaning against the door, smiling proudly at the scene. “Kent.” She added.
“Is this what I think?” The older woman asked her hands on her waist.
“I believe so. Our little Rae has a soulmate. She’s young , and the bond seems to be entirely emotional for now. But it will grow stronger certainly. “ Clark explained, thinking of the possible development.
“That’s great news, sweetie.” She approached Raven and rubbed her back affectionately. “There’s nothing to worry about. You can handle this. You’re a strong girl.” Lois poked her nose playfully.
“Well now, Martha is reading Jon a book story. Would you like to join them? I can get you more hot coco and marshmallows.” Her mom offered. Raven smiled happily and nodded enthusiastically. Feeling more hopeful, but a bit uneasy about her soulmates feelings.
“No sharing with Jon. That boy had enough sugar.” Lois warned before the girl left the kitchen. Wearing out an hyperactive half kryptonian wasn’t easy at all.
~~~
It wasn’t long before she started to feel her soulmate’s emotions almost daily.
She liked it but a part of her remained worried.
She remembered Grandma Martha’s words.
“Your fits of emotions aren’t your own. They come from your soulmate. He seems to have trouble dealing with anger and loneliness. When it’s too powerful, you feel it, too. Because you’re bonded. It will grow stronger with time, you may even hear his thoughts in your head one day.”
The girl sighed anxious. Raven was sitting on her bed, reading a book Lois got her for Christmas. One of dozens. As much as she loved hearing Martha read fairy tales before bedtime, she enjoyed having a book in her hands, on her own. She was grateful both, Lois and Clark encouraged her reading habit. However the calm only lasted a few minutes.
She heard the sound of quick footsteps. Oh here comes the hurricane. A young boy around the age of six, black haired and crystal blue eyes barged into her room at super speed. After turning five years old Jon’s superpowers emerged first was heat vision one time he was throwing a tantrum refusing to go to bed, second super-speed he was still trying to adjust it, they try to avoid superhuman strength after Jon destroyed several coffee tables and tableware, almost demolished the barn once but that was an unfortunate accident, flight has yet to make an appearance so naturally Jon asked his father or Raven to take him flying.
“Racheeeeeel. I want to go flying with you. Dad doesn’t want to. Please. Take me with you. Please Rae.” Jon, her brother pleaded incessantly with a mischievous smile. Speaking too fast and loud. Sweet Jon was overly enthusiastic, loud and talkative, caring and the most adorable boy. She had a hard time saying no to him.
She considered wisely the options for a minute. The farm is miles long, but she was concerned about the frosty winter air. She glanced at the window, snowflakes falling so much like stars, adorning the dark trees, Jon would love it, no doubt. But it seemed the wind was blowing too strong, perhaps a fearsome blizzard coming, she didn’t want Jon getting sick. Was it even possible for Half-Kryptonians to get sick? She wouldn’t risk his health. There’s no one else, not for miles. Jon loves it here, exploring the unlimited and fertile land. He’s been practicing each new gift that develops. Maybe she could persuade him to wait a few days. Jon looked at her with a little sparkle in his blue eyes and it was incredible how innocent and adorable Jon could be and melt away her resolve.
“It’s snowing heavily. What about we stay inside today and tomorrow we build a snowman and I give you my owes to build a snow castle together, as well?” Raven proposed, speaking softly as she tousled his unruly dark hair, a genuine smile broke over her face, warmth spreading through her at the thought that she had a family now. A real one.
“You pinky promise?” He asked with a new gleam in his eyes, smiling brightly and offering her his pinky finger to seal the deal.
Word Count: 1599
Synopsis: While you and Natasha are contemplating starting a family together, Bucky and Clint are doing the exact same thing. So two couples go take the same path to parenthood together.
A/N: This is a Clint/Bucky chapter.
Chapter 14
As the due date for the twins drew nearer, things had started to come together nicely. The house still needed some work, but it had been split into two living areas, with a shared foyer, and doors connecting the kitchens and one shared hall upstairs for the kids to pass through when they got older and so that both sets of parents could check on them at night.
With all the work that Clint, in particular, had been putting in and the fact that everything they were doing was about the babies or the house, Bucky felt they needed to grab one last chance at having some alone time, just the two of them before it all became about nighttime feedings and diaper changes.
You were scheduled in for induction at 39 weeks but because it was twins they could come at any time. Because of that, Bucky decided to stay close by so they could get back in plenty of time to be there for their birth.
He booked a bed and breakfast in the Hampton’s by the beach and left you and Natasha in charge of the pets. The drive had been nice. Clint had chattered away constantly in that unselfconscious way he always did. It was a trait that Bucky had always found annoying when they first met, but now he loved it about him. It was almost like it took the pressure off him. Clint would find a way to communicate so he felt part of it too.
The B&B was an old manor style house and the owned enjoyed showing the two men around. Telling them about the history of the building. How it was haunted. Letting them know when and where breakfast was served and taking them to their room. When the door closed behind them Clint dropped his bag and flopped down on the queen-sized bed. “This house is older than you. That’s a rare treat.” He teased.
Bucky smirked, holding back laughter as he shook his head. He went to the bedside table and put his phone on charge as he tried not to break down into laughter. “How creepy was that room full of dolls?”
Clint sat up and grinned. “So creepy. Did the listing warn against a haunted doll room?”
“No! You think I’d have booked the one place with a haunted doll room if it was listed?” Bucky said and Clint fell back on the bed laughing.
“Oh man, this weekend is gonna be great,” he wheezed. “But at least it’s close to the beach and has complimentary cookies and cheese platter.”
“I brought Champagne too,” Bucky said.
Clint smiled. “Did you bring glasses?”
“Uh, no.”
“Gonna have to just pour it straight into my mouth then.” Clint joked.
“I was thinking we could take it out with us to dinner,” Bucky teased. “But I’ve got something right here if you need to have your mouth occupied.”
Clint smirked and patted his thighs. “Oh yeah? Get it out for me then.”
Bucky began to unfasten his jeans and Clint reached over and hooked his hand into Bucky’s pockets and pulled him forward. Bucky pushed his jeans and boxers down enough to free his cock and Clint immediately started nuzzling at it. He kitten licked up and down Bucky’s flaccid shaft and nipped at his foreskin, playfully teasing him to hardness.
As the blood rushed to Bucky’s cock and it hardened, Clint began to suck on the head and pumped his fist up and down Bucky’s length, shifting the foreskin up and down. Bucky tangled his fingers in Clint’s hair and tugged lightly as he watched on.
Clint pulled Bucky’s jeans down a little more and gripped Bucky’s ass, kneading the soft fleshing in his fingers and he pulled Bucky’s erection into his mouth. He sucked hard, bobbing his head up and down on Bucky’s dick as his fingers slipped between Bucky’s asscheeks and teased over his asshole.
Bucky groaned and his a heavy heat pressed down in his groin making his cock twitched and throb in Clint’s mouth, leaking precum over the archer’s tongue. Clint kept making pleased little humming sounds as he gazed up into Bucky’s eyes. Bucky groaned and began to thrust. To begin with it was just gently, adding a little more to the way Clint was working his cock. As Clint submitted, relaxing his jaw and curling his tongue around Bucky’s shaft, Bucky picked up his speed.
He fucked Clint’s throat hard and deep, making the blond choke a little as he tried to adjust to Bucky’s size. The smile never left Clint’s face though. Something that was almost as big of a turn-on as having the man’s pretty lips wrapped around his cock. He loved that Clint enjoyed himself so openly. It was something Bucky had such trouble doing.
Bucky’s balls began to tighten with his impending orgasm and he grunted and picked up his pace. “Gonna come.” He warned, so as not to take Clint completely by surprise.
Clint sucked eagerly, trying to speed up the process and with a groan, Bucky pulled back a little and released. As his cock throbbed, releasing in hot ropes, in Clint’s mouth he pulled all the way out and painted Clint’s face with the thick white mess.
Clint hummed happily and opened his mouth showing Bucky what it held inside before swallowing it down. He ran a finger through the mess on his face and closed his eyes and hummed as he sucked it clean. Bucky went to the bathroom and returned with a warm washcloth, finding Clint stripping off his clothes hastily. Clint sat down as soon as he saw Bucky and looked up excitedly. “You look like you’re waiting to open your Christmas present.” Bucky said as he wiped Clint’s face clean.”
“That was fun. I just wanna see what else you have planned,” Clint replied.
“I don’t really have anything planned,” Bucky said as he removed his shirt.
Cint hummed and resumed stripping off. “Guess we’ll have to play it by ear.”
Clint was naked first and he grabbed his bag and took out the lube as Bucky kicked his pants away and climbed into bed. Clint crawled over the gaudy floral quilt and wrapped himself around Bucky, so they were a tangle of limbs as they started to kiss. It was deep and tender, their lips caressing each other’s and their tongues dancing together.
Clint’s erection ground against Bucky’s skin leaving a trail of precum over his hip and thigh. His own cock began to twitch again and he silently thanked the super serum for his almost non-existent refractory period.
He pulled Clint on top of him and the archer moved between his legs and began to grind down on him. They groaned into the kiss, Bucky’s skin tingled and his scalp prickled as Clint’s fingers dragged over his scalp.
Clint grabbed the lube and slicked his cock, before lining it up to Bucky’s ass. Bucky moaned softly at the slight, teasing pressure against his hole. The moan turned into a groan as Clint pushed forward and Bucky’s ring muscle first stretched and then gave as Clint filled him.
Bucky lifted his knees up to his chest and dug his fingers into Clint’s back as they kissed and Clint fucked him slow and deep. Bucky’s cock dragged along Clint’s abs, leaving a sticky trail of precum each time Clint rolled his hips.
It wasn’t just fucking. It was making love and it had been so long since they’d had the time to connect like this and Bucky relished it, thankful they’d taken this time to do it before the twins were born.
Clint picked up his pace and Bucky reached between them and started to jerk off in time with the snap of Bucky’s hips into him. Bucky broke the kiss and arched his back, angling his hips so that Clint was hitting his prostate just right. It made his body shudder and his muscles tense. With a low groan, Bucky bucked his hips and came, spilling onto his stomach.
Clint continued to thrust into him, looking down into Bucky’s eyes, his usual blue blown out in lust. His breath became shallow and he pulled out quickly, jerking his cock until he came too, releasing in waves onto Bucky, their thick fluids mixing together.
Bucky smirked up at Clint and pulled his bottom lip between his teeth. He let it go slowly and quirked an eyebrow. “I’m such a mess now, Clint.”
Clint sucked in air through his teeth and trembled slightly. He ran his fingers through the thick pools of semen on Bucky’s stomach. “Yeah, you are.”
“You gonna help me out?” Bucky asked.
Clint groaned still swirling his fingers around in the mess. He licked his lips and leaned down, slowly and deliberately licking stripes up Bucky’s stomach. The rough pull of Clint’s tongue over Bucky’s skin made it break out in goosebumps and straight away his cock began to twitch again. His libido seemed determined to keep the two men locked in the bedroom for the remainder of the day.
Bucky’s phone began to vibrate on the bedside table and he reached up and grabbed it, seeing Natasha’s name lit up on the screen.
He hit answer and pressed the phone to his ear. “Tasha? Is something wrong?” Clint froze mid lick. His tongue stayed pressed to Bucky’s skin as he looked up at him.
“James,” Natasha answered, her voice tight and slightly panicked. “I realize you probably only just arrived. But you need to come back. She’s in labor.”
Connor Murphy x Reader: All I Want
words: 1896
warnings: none
based on Alex Boniello's Connor
You were driving to school in Jared's car blasting Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas. He was your next door neighbor, so, more often than not, the two of you rode to school and home together, sometimes with Evan. Today was one of those days where it was just the two of you “All I want for Christmas is,” you sang as you turned to Jared as he finished off the song.
“YouuuUUUooouuuuuuuu,” Jared sang, overly done and out of tune. “Autographs will be available on ebay for $50 per letter, thank you New York!” Your laughs faded into a comfortable silence.
You switched the radio off, “Jared, I need advice.”
“Finally, you recognize me as the wise one I am. What is it my young padawan?”
“It’s serious, Kleinman,” Even though you knew he was making a joke, you’d kicked around asking him for help multiple times, always deciding against it.
His face turned from a shit-eating grin to a straight face, “Alright, what’s up?”
Rubbing your temples, you managed to spit it out, “What do you do when you have a really big crush on somebody, but you’re too afraid to say anything?”
“Isn’t that more of a question for Evan?”
“No,” you shot Jared a pleading look, “because I actually want to do something about it.” Now the two of you were walking into the school.
“Well shit, my little (Y/N)’s all grown up.” Before you could do anything he continued, “I’d normally say go for dirty jokes, but I don’t think you’re the type to do that... So maybe if you told me who you liked, I could better help you.”
Blood rushed to your face at the very thought of telling Jared that you liked Connor Murphy. Maybe he was right, maybe this was more of a question for Evan, but then again, he’d been in love with Zoe for over a year and he still hadn’t made a move. “You know? Nevermind, I really don’t know why I said that. It’s stupid anyways.”
“Aw, come on (Y/N), you can tell me anything you know. I won’t make fun of you.” He most definitely would make fun of you.
You weren’t ready for this. “So, how’s your history project on Amsterdam coming along? Evan said he was working on it all last night.”
Jared’s eyebrows furrowed, “Yeah he added like ten slides about a tree that apparently is famous in Amsterdam. It’s so stupid, we’re probably going to fail.”
He began ranted about some tree that Evan had written about for their presentation. You took that opportunity to glance around the halls to find Connor. When you finally found him, you noticed he was motioning for you to come over. Jared was still distracted with his rant. You slide away, making your way over to Connor.
“What’s up?” You chirped as Connor shoved a book into your hands. “What’s this?”
Connor turned back to his locker and shoved some books in, “You left it our house after your sleepover with Zoe a few days ago.” You peered down to see your diary. That’s where it had gone. “She’s sick, so she wouldn’t have been able to get it back to you and she just had me bring it to you.” You turned pale as you realized that Zoe might have read your diary. If even possible, you lost even more color when you processed that Connor might have done the same. He glimpsed over at you, “I didn’t read it if that’s what you’re worried about. Can’t say the same about Zoe.”
“Oh, okay....” trailing off you felt dread sinking in, “Has she been acting weird?” Zoe finding out about your crush on Connor would be worse than Jared finding out.
“When isn’t she acting weird?” Connor sighed as he closed his locker and looked over to your small paled form, “Are you okay? You don’t look so well.”
“I’m okay, just a little-” You got cut off by Jared bolting over to you.
“There you are, (Y/N)!” Jared looked like he had ran a marathon, you wondered how long he walked and talked to himself before he realized you weren’t there, “I see what you did there! You had me complain to get me off your case! Well, I’m not going to. Who is that crush you mentioned earlier?” Jared’s eyes widened as he noticed you clutching your diary. He yanked it out of your hands and started flipping through the pages. Abruptly, he stopped, seemingly finding what he was looking for. Jared stared at the page for a minute before glancing up at you as he started to laugh. “You’re kidding me? You really like that guy? This is too good. I’ll catch you later.” Still laughing he shoved the diary into Connor’s hands and walked down the hall cackling.
Connor blinked, trying to process the strange scene that just went down around him. “Any idea what that was about?” You nodded, really hurt that Jared had just read your diary and laughed. “You wanna talk about it?” You nodded again.”Okay, follow me,” Connor grabbed your wrist and dragged you out the nearest fire exit. “Okay what is this about?”
“I made the mistake about asking Jared for help with this crush I have. Then I regretted it and refused to tell him who it was.” You took a breath and continued, “Do you want to hear it from me, or read it?” You asked Connor.
He shrugged and opened up your diary, where Jared had left the bookmark. He skimmed until he found a name. Not any just any name, his name. “So, uh,” Connor scratched the back of his neck, “That’s why you were so worried about about Zoe reading that.”
You shook your head, “She’d freak out.” For a minute you almost felt calm, even though Connor Murphy literally just read you confessing to your diary that you like him. And he hadn’t even acknowledged that you liked him. “So...” You bit your lip and looked over to Connor, who looked like he just realized what he had read.
“Wait a second,” He rubbed between his eyes, “you wrote my name.....does that mean?”
Nodding, you looked to your feet. “Look, if it’s too weird, just forget it. It’s not like you would want somebody like me, I’m just me.” The confidence you had began slipping, and you turned to walk back into the school, feeling like a complete fool.
A sudden pair of arms wrapped around you, stopping you dead in your tracks. “Don’t go.” Connor muttered in your hair. “I like you too. All I’ve wanted for awhile was to be with you, (Y/N).”
You felt your heart stop, and then speed up faster than could possibly be healthy. You shimmied around so you could face Connor. “Really?”
His eyes sparkled as he leaned in and placed a kiss on your forehead. “Really. Do you maybe, um, want to skip the rest of the day and hang out?”
“I’d like that,” you said squeezing him tightly before you began to walk to the parking lot. “Where do you want to go?”
“Well, we could go to my house, but we’d have to sneak in and be quiet. ‘Cause Zoe is home. Or is your house available?”
“My dad is working from home today.”
“My house it is, then.” The two of you got into his car and drove off as he began, “So, you’re one of Zoe’s best friends, I’m sure she says all sorts of things about me. How did you manage to still like me, even with those things?”
“Connor, I’m Zoe’s best friend, I see what it’s like at your house. I see all the conflict, you’re handling it as best as you can. I know I’d be a million times worse if I had to deal with what you have to.”
“(Y/N), thank you.”
Confused you answered, “You’re welcome. Wait what am I welcome for?”
Connor smiled, not that fake smile he would give you when you hung out with Zoe, but a genuine smile. “For being able to look past all the rumors you hear at school and all the things Zoe says.” You smiled back to him, placing your hand on his leg while he drove. The rest of the ride was filled by a pleasant silence. Upon arriving at the Murphy residence, Connor led the two of you to climb into his window. As soon as you got in- with some help from Connor, he took his shoes off and collapsed onto his bed.
You kicked your shoes off and lingered, unsure whether to sit on his bed or at his desk. Finally, you decided to sit on the edge of his bed. “This really is real, isn’t it?” Connor finally broke the silence and rolled onto his side so he could see you instead of the ceiling. “Do you want to watch something?”
“Yeah, let’s do that.” You still felt a little uneasy sitting on Connor’s bed, even though you knew he liked you back, you were still on your crush’s bed. He turned on a horror movie, and curled up on his bed, motioning for you to lay next to him. You did, and he pulled a blanket onto the two of you and wrapped one arm around your shoulders. The movie was scarier than you had first thought it would be, so with every jump scare you would pull closer into Connor, hiding your face in his chest. Unbeknownst to you, that was exactly why he’d chosen this movie.
Halfway through, you refused to even look at the screen, and just clung onto Connor, arms wrapped tightly around him, and your face hidden in his chest. You felt him move, and then heard the movie’s sound come to a halt. You looked up to see his face, and he had a small smirk on his face. “Too scary, huh?”
You turned red, “Sh- shut up.” He placed another kiss on your head.
“Wanna just cuddle instead?” He gained a nod from you has you both got comfortable in each other’s arms. Every now and then, Connor would kiss your head, while you would either kiss his chest or jaw. This went on for awhile until finally, you both drifted off into sleep.
When Cynthia got home from her yoga class, she went up to Connor’s room to check on him. The car was in the driveway, so she’d known that he skipped classes again. Much to her surprise, she saw Connor and (Y/N) cuddled up together in a peaceful sleep. She almost gasped when she saw the content smile that was spread across Connor’s face.
Zoe rubbed her eyes as as she left her room to go ask if her mom could make her some tea that she always made when her kids were sick. She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw why her mom was standing at the door, taking pictures on her phone while tears streamed down her face. “He’s happy, Zoe.” Cynthia said, her voice cracking. “I haven’t seen him smile like that in his sleep since he was three.”
Zoe paused, “Do you think he read the diary or do you think she told him?”
“I don’t know, but we better tell your father to pick up a congratulations cake on the way home.”
Note: This is by far the longest thing I’ve ever written (including my novels). It’s a collaboration with the amazing @mrs-dragneel-stark-solo. It started as a funny “What if…?” and it evolved and got huge. This took two years to write. We are both proud and happy and we hope you enjoy it. It follows from Thor 1 to Endgame in the MCU. Some of the timelines may be off in order to fit certain people, and some characters may show up earlier or in different ways than they have in the movie. But for the most part, it follows the MCU. It also has a bit of crossover with some other Marvel characters throughout the story.
Tony and Shannon needed a break from everything. They hadn't had a vacation together in over two years, not had really had a vacation at all.
Until Tony had been hell bent on getting everyone some time to go out wherever they’d like and he could finally pop the question to Shannon. He’d waited a good long while to make sure that they were back to being happy and not having problems.
Fury was a raging ball of disbelief when he had been informed that none of the Avengers would be of help for the next month, but had relented saying that they deserved it to help themselves.
Tony had everyone's flights booked the same day, each destination different. He had planned to head down to a little cabin in Alaska that he’d had made six years ago for when he needed to get away and hide from everyone. Now he had other plans for that cabin.
“Shannon, are you all packed for our trip? Maybe bring that camera I got you three Christmases ago?” he said from the bathroom. He was very nervous about how he’d ask her to be his wife. He’d asked Bruce for some tips, seeing as he was the only person who he could tell about the proposal.
“Tony, I’m not even sure what to pack… you won’t tell me where we’re headed,” she said, completely confused as to what to grab. She stood in the walk-in closet looking at all her options. She felt guilt bubble up in her stomach because she’d gotten back on track to fixing things with you and her leaving would be as if she didn’t care about leaving you in an inescapable cell. “At least tell me how long we’ll be there! So I know how much to pack,” she yelled so he could hear from the bathroom.
“Babe, relax. It’s not long, just a month,” he said, wrapping his arms around her waist. “You need to pack warm for where we're going. You’ll need your snow boots.” He had turned her around in his arms love shining in his eyes.
“Help me pack then?” She looked up at him through her lashes. “That's the only way we’ll get my bag done fast.” She winked hoping he’d get the hint behind her words. She kissed his cheek.
“Oh you bet I’ll help you pack,” he growled, showing her he knew what she was up to. “How about we start with the lingerie?” he teased, going to one side of the closet and looked for some simple yet comfortable outfits.
“How about I pull out some outfits and you tell me yes or no?” she suggested, hoping to get things packed faster. “And I promise not to tease you this time.” She smiled going to some of the already prepared outfits.
The rest of that morning was spent packing and by midday they had already made their way to one of Tony’s planes. The whole team had left together, wanting to leave at the same time. They each were able to get their own private plane to their destinations. Bruce pulled Tony aside for a moment just before he and Shannon boarded their plane.
“So do you plan on popping the question soon? Or two weeks into the vacation?” he asked, wanting to keep things good for calm and happy on the flight to Alaska.
“I want to ask her soon but I think I’ll find the right moment,” he said while holding the box in his pocket. “Wish me luck, big guy.” He patted Bruce’s shoulder and walked away.
_______
“You don’t need luck!” he said loudly to reach him as he had already gone a decent distance.
“What was all that about?” Shannon asked him when he came back to her side.
“What, that?” He pointed at Bruce. “That’s nothing. He’s just being dramatic,” he said sounding calm even though his nerves were on fire. “Shall we head to our destination?” He held his hand out to let her into the private jet first.
“Why thank you, kind sir,” she giggled seeing how sweet he could be.
“Anything for you, my dear.” A smile reached his eyes from seeing her laugh. “Off we go!” He ran in after her.
“Tony!” she shrieked as she went to the back of the jet, he caught up to her and tickled her sides. “Stop... Stop, Tony, I give!” she said between laughs.
“Okay… okay I’ll stop, on the condition that you sit in my lap for at least part of the flight.” He smirked but it softened to a genuine smile he had only for her.
“Like I’d ever say no to spending some time with you.” She turned around hugging him close.
The flight was spent with the two of them watching movies. She had fallen asleep in his arms, he had pulled a blanket over the two of them. Feeling the sleep take over, he let his breathing match hers and they both slept. They hadn’t slept that well in what felt like months.
Once the plane had landed, the pilot announced that they had arrived. By then Tony had already woken up and was randomly searching through the channels. Hearing the pilot say they got there, he looked at Shannon’s still sleeping form and woke her up by peppering kisses all over her face. “Babe, wake up, we’re here.” He moved some hair behind her ear.
“Five more minutes…please.” She hid her face in his chest. Feeling that the plane wasn’t moving, she sat up. “Wait, are we here?” She looked to the windows but could not see a thing, they had all been closed.
Watching her look around to guess their destination was adorable. She looked like a kid on Christmas.
“Yes we’re here. Come on, the car is waiting to take us to where we’ll be staying.” He motioned for her to stand up and the captain had come to the back, holding out her jacket to put on.
“It’s a bit cold here, Ms. Shannon, you’ll need this.” The captain lifted the jacket so she could put her arms through the sleeves. He was holding a poofy looking jacket and had an equally poofy one on his arm for Tony. She moved to the side and watched as Tony got his jacket on too, it was comical seeing Tony wear a marshmallow jacket.
“You look ridiculous, Tony, like the Michelin man.” She laughed looking at him turn around.
“But there’s one thing different, I rock this look, he doesn’t.” He looked so proud of himself. “Come on, let’s get going.” He helped her get out of the plane.
To her surprise she saw the vast mountains of snow everywhere. She looked around in marvel. Her eyes were shining with awe, slowly turning to take everything in. Tony took the chance to snap a picture of her and how beautiful she looked with nature behind her.
“Tony, it’s beautiful here… I’ve always wanted to come to a place with lots of snow!” She walked back to him and giving him a tender kiss.
“Then wait till you see where we’ll be staying.”
They walked to the car waiting for them. Getting in, the driver had quickly driven off to get to the cabin that was a short drive away. The ride there all Shannon could do was look out the window and point things out to Tony. He was mesmerized with how much this was exciting her.
The car stopped and she got out quickly, not believing the sight she had in front of her. It was a big rustic looking cabin. She saw there was a small opening next to the main entrance. Looking closer she saw it was actually a doggy door. Confused, she looked over to Tony to ask about it when she saw him whistle and out came Lucky running through the entrance and jumped onto her knocking her down with his speed.
“Hi, Lucky, it’s good to see you too.” She laughed as he licked at her face and was running around. Tony walked over to help her stand when Lucky jumped on him too knocking him down right onto Shannon. They both laughed and stayed there for a moment, she looked up and saw that Tony’s eyes were filled with so much love that it made her melt because she never imagined that she would ever get this chance to be with him and it still felt like a dream she never wanted to wake up from.
“Here, let me help you.” He’d stood up and reached down to grab her hand. Once they were both on their feet, they walked into the cabin. It looked a lot bigger to him, but it could be the same seeing as it had been years since he’d been here. The driver had brought all the bags in and had left so it was just the three of them.
“When did you get Lucky here?” she asked as she walked around, memorizing where everything was so she wouldn’t get lost.
“The same time we got here, I just had someone drop him off here so that he could get used to his surroundings.” He walked over to closet to put away their jackets.
----------------
They spent most of their time skiing or out walking the trails. He mostly went to watch Shannon become hyper focused on the things she took pictures of. The little quirks she made when she was trying to get the perfect shot, sometimes not even aware of her surroundings unless he moved her out of the way.
They’d been at the cabin for about three weeks now and Tony was beginning to get anxious about popping the question. He’d figured out now was a better time than ever so he told her that he had the whole day planned for the two of them. He’d found a little nook somewhere in the cabin where the view of the mountains was spectacular, then followed by a dog sledding ride, he planned to have someone head into town to get some things for them for dinner. After dinner it would be seeing the aurora borealis. He hadn't told her that they were staying in Barrow, Alaska where it's one of the seven known places to see these lights at night. To end the night by the fireplace all cozy with hot chocolate, he would ask her to be his.
“Tony, I still can't get over this little slice of heaven being all yours!” she said while they were out in the little area near the cabin. “We should come back another time, maybe even invite the others?” The last part sounded like a question.
“I would love to come back here with you.” He watched her skate in the ice of the little pond. “Although I'm not sure about bringing the others here, specifically. Maybe I can find a bigger cabin for all of us?” He had been thinking that the others would like to come to a place like this to relax, maybe even to celebrate Christmas together.
“There’s already a lot of room here in the cabin. I don't see why you’d want to find another place.” She looked over her shoulder at him before turning to skate backwards.
“I want this to be just our get away, imagine it, just you and me.”
“Don’t forget Lucky!”
“And of course Lucky too, maybe even get a little friend for him to play so he’s not so lonely?” he suggested.
To be fair he had always loved dogs, just never had the idea to get one because of his busy life but once Lucky came into the picture he realized how much he had missed out on.
“That would be cute! Maybe get him like a little sister or brother?” They’d began walking back to the cabin by then. That got him thinking about having kids, he never thought about it but then again he thought about ever getting married but here he was about to propose to the woman of his dreams.
“Why don’t you go upload your photos onto the computer to edit while I get started on dinner?” He had everything in the kitchen ready for him to start cooking. Not that many people knew he was really good in the kitchen back at the tower.
“Sure, it’ll give me something to do since you won't let me help make dinner.” She stuck her tongue out at him while heading to the office.
“I already told you it's a surprise, so run along, babe.” He shooed her away. Dinner would consist of her favorite foods, he’s gotten some of the recipes from her mother. And the others were of things he’d gotten her to try.
Time flew by while both of them were busy doing things. She had stopped editing photos for a while and had gone to the living room to sit down at the piano to play one of her favorite pieces by Beethoven. It was a very popular piece on every classical piano cd. She could play it all day long if she wanted to. Tony could hear how she poured her heart into playing that song.
Once everything was cooked and ready he set up the table for the two of them.
“Dinner is served,” he said coming into where she had begun to play Bella’s Lullaby on the piano. She was so focused on the music that she hadn’t heard him coming up behind her he rested his hand on her shoulder. “Babe, come on, the food’s ready.”
The touch startled her. “Oh! Tony, I must've gotten sucked into the music again.” She looked up at him.
“Come on, my talented woman, it's time you get some food in you.” He laughed intertwining their fingers together.
“Tony, look at all of this! It’s amazing. You have all of my favorite foods.” She looked at the table with the food her mother used to make for her. “What’s the occasion? I didn’t forget any anniversary, did I?!” She looked over, worried she’d maybe missed something special for the two of them.
“None at all, babe. Just showing you how special you are to me.” He smiled while he pulled her seat out for her.
They were both dressed comfortably and once he had her sitting, he went to sit next to her. They had dinner, comprised of some puerto rican food her mom would make. There were a few comfort foods they both enjoyed and he had learned to make a dark chocolate mousse sprinkled with white chocolate shavings and inside the mousse was a bit of caramel.
“I’m glad you got me to go on vacation, Tony. These past few days have been amazing not having to worry about work or projects or things we’ve been working on.” She entwined their hands together.
“I’m just glad that I convinced you that it would be nice, I feared it would just be me and Lucky,” he joked and patted Lucky when he walked over from hearing his name. “I think we all needed some time away from working and make time for ourselves.” He looked up at her with loving eyes.
“You’re right. Everyone has been too wound up from everything that's happened in the past two years.” She drew circles on the back of his hand with her thumb.
“Babe, us here has been the best moments of my life.” He sounded honest, making her look up at him.
“All the best moments are when your at my side, Tony, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.” He could hear the adoration in her voice.
The rest of dinner was spent with casual chatter, at one point Lucky sat in one of the chairs and it made them both laugh and they set a plate for him to eat with them. She felt that it had been an amazing night and couldn’t think of any way it could get better. Little did she know her whole night was about to get better once it hit time for the hot chocolate after watching the Aurora borealis.
“There’s two more things I want to show you.” He led her to the back deck where he had set up a cozy looking area. “Come here, it's almost starting.”
“What’s almost starting?” she asked as she sat down next to him and she felt his arm go around her shoulders.
“Just look.”
“Okay, okay.” She turned over just in time to see the northern lights begin to appear. “Tony, look! It’s beautiful.” The shock and awe very visible in her face.
“Surprise! I was hoping to show you this soon.” He was admiring the light but kept turning to look back at her. He knew that right this moment was exactly when he should ask her. “Hold on, I’ll be right back.”
“Come back quick so you don’t miss this!” She pulled out her camera taking the opportunity to take a few shots so that she could save this with her memories.
He ran quickly to grab the hot chocolate and making sure he had the ring in the little box in his jacket pocket. “Here goes nothing, Lucky. Wish me the best!” he said to the dog who had been laying on the couch. “Okay, I'm back,” he huffed, a bit out of breath from running inside. “Here’s some hot chocolate.” He handed her a mug once she set her camera down.
“Thank you...mmmm, this is really good,” she hummed while sipping on the warm drink.
“Actually there’s something that has been on my mind for a while now.” He put his mug down and turned to face her.
Hearing the slight nervousness in his voice she turned around. “Well you know you can tell me anything right?”
“That’s one of the many reasons that I love you. Because we can tell each other everything.” He moved his hands into his pockets and she noticed, thinking that he’s getting cold.
“Are you cold?” She started taking off her gloves to give them to him.
“No, no I’m not cold. I just want to get something from my pocket.” He pulled his hands out but she couldn’t see what he pulled out.
“Okay if you say so,” she said, sounding unconvinced of his hands being cold.
“Listen we’ve known each other since you were a college student and we got together just short of two years ago.”
“Tony, you big sap.”
“I’m not done yet, Shannon.”
She nodded understanding and let him continue talking.
“In the span of these two years I’ve realized that you’re the person for me. I never thought about settling down until I met you...” He stopped to take a moment, looking at how surprised she looked. “I knew that there’s no one else but you.” He had gotten off his seat and got down on one knee.
“Tony…” She had no idea that he had been feeling this way. She never told anyone but she felt the exact same way.
“Shannon, will you marry me?” His eyes were full of hope and a bit of worry seeing as she wasn’t saying anything.
“Tony, I..I don’t know what to say. I’ve always dreamed of this happening,” she was babbling.
“I’m hoping you’ll say yes.” He laughed nervously.
What he wasn’t expecting was to have her land on him, landing them both in the snow. He laughed.
“Of course I’ll marry you, Tony!” she exclaimed, looking down at him and moving a bit of hair out his eyes. “There’s no one else I’d rather spend the rest of my life with.” She moved to kiss him and they spent a few moments simply kissing until the cold finally got to them and they both got up heading inside.
“Here, let me put the ring on your finger.” He grabbed her hand and was able to slip the ring on her finger with ease seeing that it was the perfect size.
“It’s beautiful,” she said as she admired the simple engagement ring.
