Also do you feel a pang in your heart whenever you start a new save file and then you saw your previous partner and saw all their events again, you remember why you liked that character in the first place but then also remembered that you're aiming for someone else this time ☠️💔

For me is that goofy "hehe" face from Sam. He's a clueless dork like a labrador puppy and he's super sweet too, playing the guitar and with Vincent. Whenever I see him I'm like "hi loml I missed you" but then reel myself back because no I wanna date someone else this time. BUT HIS FACE!!!! 😭

My favorite vanilla SDV was Shane, but I tried the rest bachelors/rettes 1-2 times because I was wondering what they were. I have to say, I like all of them, but chicken man was my priority (also Abigail, but not as often as Shane). So going through new saves with other bachelors, every time I see my previous partner, I think 'dont worry my love, in the next save we will be together again :D'

A Post About My New Favorite D&D Character

So I'm currently in a D&D campaign with some friends in a fantasy!AU of Stardew Valley, and in the campaign I'm playing as my new favorite D&D character, Rize.

Rize in an Eladrin, with skin the color of mahogany bark, and hair that from a distance looks in color like a spider's web. Their parents, along with about a dozen other Eladrin, left the Feywild a few years before Rize was born. They libed in a small, self-sufficient community for a few decades, but when they suffered a few harsh growing seasons and winters, a greedy corporation (Joja, for SDV fans) saw their opportunity to exploit their community, and offered to employ their workers, offering them resources in exchange for more-or-less giving up their way of life.

The corporation recognized Rize's talents in hunting, tracking, etc and saw in them an opportunity. They told Rize that they wanted to 'save' other communities, but some 'evil' people stood in their way, and asked Rize to... take care of those people.

Rize then spent most of their young adulthood working as a hitman in a society they knew next to nothing about.

After doing Joja's dirtiest work from the shadows for years, Rize stumbled upon an awful secret that made them question everything they'd done. They ran, and recognizing they couldn't return home or risk harm coming to their family, fled to a small farming community to try to turn a new leaf and start over... they moved to Pelican Town, and tried blending in as a simple farmer.

Things went fine,, for about a month. Since then, Rize has stumbled headfirst into trouble during a nearby cave-in, met a whole crew of colorful characters who banded together to save the life of their friend, and they've been slowly revealing to this new group that they're not the humble, peaceful farmer that they want to be.

In gameplay terms, Rize is a Rogue - Mastermind, level 3 right now. I LOVE this character and I love the way that as we olay the game I get to watch them evolve from thinking they're just a living weapon, to being a careful planner and strategist who does their best to solve problems before they ever have to draw a blade. The campaign is fun and my friends' characters are amazing, we get to explore lots of very real world themes like jealousy and trauma and love and death, while also cracking jokes and throwing punches at our bard for making stupid puns all the time. I've never felt this connected to one of my OC's before so I wanted to write up a post about them and share their story!!

here’s some modern au headcanons for the arcana ... it’s something I think about a lot

Asra

gamer memeing shitlord . he majored in minecraft you cannot convince me otherwise

plays A Lot of minecraft but also just enjoys any similar sort of game, sdv, animal crossing, etc. He’s really good at video games but he’s just fucking around . he likes to play online games and try his best to make everyone hate him in a really harmless sort of way . he heals the enemy spy . changes his display name and avatar to be exactly the same as someone else . tells people to go into the console and type unbindall

he plays games with his friends and he’s usually the top player so he just spends his time spoiling the shit out of his friends giving them good items carrying them through dungeons etc but not Julian, he tells Julian to dig straight down in minecraft . Julian doesn’t ever know what he’s doing in any video game so Asra trains him wrong on purpose, as a joke

anyway enough about video games (for now)

Asra lives in a van that he painted the exterior of himself, it was both a fun project and a very smug way to annoy people with this awful fucking hippie van strolling into town, eat shit

it’s decorated with crystals, furs, fairy lights, mason jars full of food For The Aesthetic, books, etc. It’s very cozy, cottagecore / bohemian and it’s ridiculously obvious that he’s into witchcraft. he just lets Faust explore because this isn’t real and I can pretend that a snake is exactly as well behaved as in a fantasy story

drugs tw but I see him as the type to want to try anything and everything at least once so if he’s ever been offered A Drug (and he crashes parties for fun and for free food, so he’s got opportunities) he’ll try it Just To See, and this has resulted in some bad trips before, but Muriel saw him in the middle of one and then after he sobered up Muriel put his foot down and made Asra agree to only do these things as responsibly as possible, like, with supervision from a friend

still drugs tw but I also see Asra as a stoner but in the cbd edibles sort of way, a lot of this is because I headcanon Asra as having ADD (because I do and I want to project a little bit) so it helps him focus but also he just Likes It. the glove box of his car has like, chocolate/lollipop edibles stuff like that

goes between like super healthy elaborate meals with mushrooms and veggies and fresh meat and shit and then just eating nothing but cheez-its all day

style wise I see him as the type to wear a lot of tank tops, like, the loosest of tank tops so it hangs super low and long and you get some nice cleavage out of it, crystal necklaces, gold jewelry, pride pins/jewelry/etc (trans/nonbinary/bisexual flags), oversized hoodies with loud colorful patterns, joggers and other loose comfy pants, and either boots or slippers

he’s got like... the at home look that’s basically what I just described, and then the away from home look that’s got thirty layers and none of it makes sense and he just shows up in orange crocs With Patterned Socks and everyone who sees him just lets out the heaviest sigh

He just fucking vanishes sometimes and he doesn’t get that maybe people want to know where he is. He’s too solitary

He makes money either via street performances (magic, tarot readings, etc) or selling shit on etsy like handmade tarot decks, crystal necklaces, magic charms, etc. He Has Never Worked A Day In His Life and He Will Not Start Now

1. my cats. it's not even an exaggeration to say that my cats are one of my reasons for living and have literally saved my life/stopped me from doing something self destructive just by simply existing and looking at me with their :3 faces. my cats truly are my children i even call them 'kids'.

2. my friends! specifically my little group of akira, isaac, knife and elm. we've become so close the past few years and i'd truly die and kill for each of them.

3. animal crossing! new horizons is my first ever animal crossing game and i'm so glad that i got into it and that isaac was generous enough to get the whole group copies so that we can play together. i love it so much i'm thinking if doing amiibo coin commissions when i settle in designs owo

4. persona 5 royal. the original persona 5 game was something i played when i was at an all time low in my life, it was one of a few games that kept me sane following attempted suicide. it's also the reason me and my small group of friends even became friends in the first place! so getting to play it again and experience new things with them has been a lot of fun.

5. my fish. them being this low on the list isn't a rating or anything i just forgot for a second until i remembered to feed them sndjxkfkv. one of my special interests is fish keeping and i love these little dudes a lot. i hope to breed wild bettas eventually, i already have a betta imbellis girl!

6. d&d. another thing that brought the groip together! we all Really got close through dnd, and i found a passion for dming. the re attempt of a live play of a campaign is still in the planning stages, but thar aside i'm having a lot of fun dming for my group. it's also a lot of fun to see akira starting to dm and getting to play in the world he makes for us as well.

7. related to dnd, writing and art in general. i've always been creative and enjoy making things. i also role play a lot and have an... extensive au rp set going on with akira rn.

8. horror movies. yea ik it's not what you'd expect to be on a list of things that make you happy, but despite being a paranoid pussy i love horror movies, and the horror genre as a whole. today me, akira and elm watched Us and it was great to see it again and appreciate the art of it.

9. ff14. now that i have money (and also... a Lot of time) i've slowly started to get back into mmos again, specifically ff14. another thing the group shares, and i also just enjoy it for the gameplay and the story can be very exciting and interesting.

10. overwatch. akira got me into it and now we all play it casually. i'm a moira main,,, but i do love to play bap, lucio, reinhardt, dva, hanzo, soldier, sym, sombra, and recently echo. echo is a LOT of fun and i might have her as my main dps.

11. nutella. just finished a jar of it.

13. the fact that later next week, i'm finally gonna be able to get a dishwasher and no longer have to force myself to be in pain standing at a sink to wash the dishes.

Simblr Story Meme

*Laughs and grins.* I’ve been tagged by the delightful @valoisfulcanelli, and it would simply be RUDE not to say something, so here we go!

 Here’s a fun thing: YOU’VE BEEN TAGGED! Let’s talk about your story! Here’s what you do:

 1. How many stories are you writing?

Um, heh, not that many sadly. I’ve been working on a series set in the Stardew Valley game-universe for over a year now, on its third book, with a fourth one starting up some time in fall once I finish the third one. At least, that’s the PLAN; I’m updating thrice weekly, but even at 51 chapters so far it’s still not quite done, and I don’t want to rush it like I did book one.

Rose & Sunflower is the current series, and hopefully I’ll be done with it after book four. (I mean, seriously, four books for this little game?!) It’s the story of someone running from a problem that he created and it trying to start over again, and happens to find friends, a new use for his skills, and more. Where most SDV writers tend to follow their farmers, their farm, and all of that stuff, I went for a different tangent, hitting the musical angle that to my surprise, nobody else has tried. There’s also romance because of course there is, but it’s still a decent story despite that. XD

A Legend from the Gem Sea is a little one-shot short story written as a Tumblr Secret Santa this year, and it came out rather nice. Just a quick story between their farmer and Elliott, and I’m pretty pleased with how it came out.

Sunshine on a Cloudy Day is another short-story one-shot I’ve had in mind for a little bit but haven’t had the time or energy to sit down and write, just a small Sam/Sebastian thing, but not set in the R&S “universe.”

For REAL stories and not just fanfiction I have a few other stories in mind, like the high-tech high-magic world that I’ve been tinkering with for over a decade, and another with a near-future version of Earth that’s basically “network engineers in low-earth orbit.” Trust me, it’s much more interesting than it sounds. :P

I’ve also got a few FFXIV-centric fics planned, based on the adventures my RP character and his Free Company (and allied/neighboring FCs) get up to. But again, those are on hold for a bit until I untangle my schedule a bit more and cache some ideas and events. Haven’t built any stories around my Sims 3 version of Lys yet as I’ve been too busy getting his FFXIV incarnation to level 50 before the new expansion drops.

2. What’s your favorite story/favorite post you’ve written?

Rose & Sunflower, of course, but Legend was a cute story and I’m pleased with it. The R&S project has been a lot of fun and I’ve had a number of great moments in all three books. Some of my favorites are easily the Chatter logs (basically the equivalent of Discord in this universe). Also, I LOVE writing dialogue for Sam, and have given him so many good one-liners and moments, alternating between having him be the butt of a joke or making him a cheeky troll. One I particularly love is partway through book 2 where Lysander notes aloud that “I’m heterochromatic” when he discovers that he suddenly has mismatched eyes, and Sam remarks that he thought that “you like both men AND women.” One of the other best moments in general came early on from book one at the end of chapter 7. (The people in chat are Sebastian, Abigail, Sam, and then Lysander, in that order):

As he sat down on the edge of his bed to take off his boots his phone chirped with a Chatter message. Curious, he picked up his phone and was greeted with a shirtless photo of Sam, taken in the bathroom mirror, while making the for-some-reason-popular kissy-face.

 3. Who do you personally ship in your story?

*Puts on tricorn hat.* I be shipping alllll the booty!

Lysander/Elliott of course, but non-canon to “my universe” I think that Sam and Sebastian are a great match, and in-story I really wish I’d taken the time to develop Sam and Penny together a bit more. They’re such a cute couple, and I really got a kick out of how he’s such a snarky, energetic pain in the ass around his friends, but turns into a blushing, grinning doofus around Penny, because she’s a sweet cinnamon roll and he will protect her. Though I do love the bromance that ended up growing between Sam and Lysander, they are such adorable and awful shits together when they’re up to something! :D

 4: Who do you think has had the most character development in your story (bonus: why)

Funny enough, Elliott. Lysander got a lot of personal development over book 1 (and a bit more in book 2), but for the most part he was already mostly self-actualized. He was running from a problem that he’d created, and had a few self-esteem/confidence issues, but overall his character arc through the first (and technically the third) book was a story of redemption, ultimately. Elliott, however, definitely changed since the moment you meet him, and in book 3 (which tells events from his side), you get a much bigger picture of how he changed and developed thanks to his friendship (and later, relationship) with Lysander. His is much closer to a coming-of-age story in that regard, and he is a distinctly different person at the end of that story (and therefore the start of book 2) than he was at the beginning.

Ah, heh… I follow a few artists here and there, but I follow no other writers (save for Valois), so I think I’m gonna hafta risk the seven years of bad luck for breaking this chain.
