#i spend too much time on things

since Eng is getting 7.5 soon(?), I felt motivated to go back to my Meleanor rig and make her a couple of lesson animations! ...except for alchemy, because the cauldron bubbles proved too hard to photoshop around, whoops.

maybe she just got lost on her way to the classroom...?

Okay, no, wait. This is super fucking cool and I love this, but I have so many thoughts... they are only half developed, but I will try to refine them a bit and put them in powerpoint form or something eventually

Basically I love the concept but I think it can be more than just a reflavor - go big or go home.

Some preliminary thoughts in shitty bullet point format (sorry if this is incoherent):

Okay, so basically, instead of hell or hades or greek inspired, its jon trying to get through the institute one statement at a time, working his way to the panopticon, trying to stop elias

The home floor/house of hades is the reception area/the upper floors of the archives - shades are regular institute workers and statement givers, and when you go up to the groups of people, they have one line allusions to statements from the series.

The bedroom/weapon room is Jon's office

The first floor you fight through is the archives where you fight malicious statements and various entities - minibosses include the angler fish or the sandman- the final boss of the first floor is Jane Prentiss at first and then in later runs can be either rayner or Nikola

Prentiss has aoe attacks but is mostly melee

Rayner can black out the room and has longer range attacks

Nikola makes things weird and has manakin summons

Additionally in the archives, you can sometimes come across Bassira, who is looking for Daisy and gives you health or money like sisyphus

The second floor is Artifact storage - where you have enchanted items and twisted things attacking you. Minibosses include the piper - in the final boss room, you find sasha who turns into Not Them

Not Them has multiple variations: not cousin, not Graham, not sasha, etc.

In Artifact Storage, you can sometimes run across salesa in his camera house - he will give you powerups like persephone

The third floor is the tunnels - not sure abt the minibosses - maybe one of the hunters? - the final boss is Julia and Trevor working together to kill you

In the tunnels you. can run across Gerry's Spirit, who will tell you about Gertrude and the hunters and give you revival help

The final floor is cells in the panopticon, where you are finding a statement to survive - which you find and bring to the main room and read, releasing the apocalypse

The final boss of the game is Elias, who has a second phase of becoming Jonah Magnus

Once you beat the game, you emerge into the cabin with Martin and then leave to defeat Elias again(?) (Teasing a second game)

Every time you start a level, Jon says "Statement Begins", and when you die, it says "Statment Ends" and a tape, covered in webs is seen being rewound in the background.

Boons:

Dark - Given by Manuela - slowing effects as enemies stumble around blind

Corruption - john amherst - spreading damage over time with death bursts

Flesh - jared hopworth- meat shields, damage mitigation - can really lean into the gruesome here

Spiral - michael/helen - stunning + confusion effects

Stranger - could merge w spiral? - turning effects where you make enemies into allies?

Desolation - Jude Perry - chained fire damage

Hunt - Daisy(?) - crits and marking like artemis

End - Oliver Banks - not sure, but maybe something like ares

Vast -  Simon Fairchild - speed boosts with names like "Terminal Velocity"

Lonely - Peter Lukas - Push enemies away with fog and clouds

Slaughter - Grifters Bone - again, not sure what this could be - benefits for kill streaks?

Bloodstones are replaced with Satement Sense, where you can mark someone to give you a statement

Web - chaos like boons that change over time - they appear as cracks in the ground (I also like the idea that you could switch the spiral and the web here and do helen/Michaels door)

Buried - coffin gates like erebus but w a time limit challenge where if you dont succeed you are crushed

Keepsakes are replaced with Leitner's library

Weapons:

Gun: base is Daisy's pistol - Slaughter rifle

Axe - base is John's axe

Pipe - base is Elias' pipe

Knife: base is Melanie's knife - buried kukri

Claws/bestial form - base is Michael's hands - Daisy's claws

Shopkeeper is breekon and hope. - if you attack them enough, one will die and you will have to fight them as a boss

House contractor is rosie who doesnt say much

Other NPCs in the Archives include Tim, Melanie, Georgie, Sasha, Elias, Martin, all the regulars.

Like I said, all rambling thoughts that I may or may not get down somewhere, but that's where I am at this moment in time, so yeah, take that as you will.

remembered about my magnum opus aka tma hades au so decided to throw it out there. hades is a rogue-like game with beautiful graphics, amazing story and fantastic characters. and i like tma. it’s bunch of sketches with explainations, one page couldn’t be attached, rip breekon&hope as shopkeepers

[ID: Black and white comic of Vash and Wolfwood from Trigun Maximum. The comic starts with the sounds "thud, thud, click". Vash, mid-action of peeling an apple, turns to the sound, noticing who it was that entered, and says, "Oh, Wolfwood, you're back." He resumes back to his apple in the next panel as he speaks, "Where'd you go? You snuck out of bed quickly this morning..." Wolfwood's hand then enters the panel, hovering over Vash's cheek and Vash looks up as Wolfwood asks, "Can I?" Vash responds, "Not going to talk about it?" while using a hand to gently hold Wolfwood's hovering hand and presses a kiss to his inner palm.

Vash then gets up fully, setting down the knife down on the table and the apple onto a plate, He leans into Wolfwood as Wolfwood explains, "Had to meet someone. Nothing interesting to talk about." Vash kisses Wolfwood's left cheek and a hand moves to cup his other cheek while muttering, "You're being vague." Wolfwood says neutrally, "If yer really that curious, keep askin'. We  can talk about that instead of doing this." Vash leans back and responds, "Let's talk after, since... You look so tired."

The panel pans to a close up of Wolfwood's downcast eyes, bags heavy underneath his eyes. He doesn't allow Vash to sit in that moment for long though, then saying, "Yer not helping, Spikey. Being all slow with it... I could fall asleep right now." He moves his hand to start unclasping Vash's coat, starting from his collar. Vash with red cheeks, responds briskly, "Oh, shut up. I'm worried about you. I can't be worried?"

The final shot shows Wolfwood's back to the viewer while Vash's softened expression can be seen as he holds gently onto the side of Wolfwood's face and a hand firm on his waist. Wolfwood responds, "I'm fine, seriously," pausing for a moment before continuing, "Is it okay to still..?" Vash responds, "Yeah, it's okay."

The next image is a shot from later that night after the previous comic. Vash and Wolfwood are now in bed, half naked. Wolfwood's buries his face into Vash's chest, his arms wrapped around him, while Vash is petting at his hair. Vash reminds him, "Hey. You said we'd talk about it." Wolfwood pauses for a moment before piping up, "In the morning? I'm sleepy." Vash says, "Okay..."

The next two pages start from the morning after. Wolfwood is already fully awake, pulling on his outer jacket as he says to Vash, whos' still bundled in his blankets, "Breakfast is on the table. Make sure to eat it. I'm going to grab some things in town and then we're leavin'. Got it?" Vash says, "Mh." Wolfwood responds, "Good. See ya in a bit." The dialogue starts to shift into Vash's inner thoughts now, as he gets up and eats toast, thinking, "Wait. Weren't we supposed to... talk about it?" The next shot then shows him fully up, meeting Wolfwood in town. He carries a half worried expression with him while Wolfwood slides on his glasses for him. A quick panel shows Wolfwood's tired expression from the night before and quickly juxtaposes with Wolfwood in front of him who's smiling gently, the shades covering his eye bags. Wolfwood asks him, "Still not awake yet?" Vash pauses, his thoughts stirring, thinking, "Oh. I guess I was getting ahead of myself... thinking you owe me that kind of honesty." He smiles at Wolfwood and responds, "I'm awake!" His thoughts continue, "Maybe one day, you'd trust me enough to share your burdens."

The final image shows Wolfwood pulling at Vash's cheek and Vash complains, "Owwwww why..." Wolfwood quickly says, "You were thinking something stupid, right? It's all over yer face." Vash mutters, "Nooo, I wasn't..." END ID]

Cross has trouble getting to sleep alone in his room and goes looking for a distraction, but ends up finding a solution for both of them

I feel like Bruce would use his charm against Otto whenever he tries to mess with his brothers. Bruce sees Otto about to say something nasty to Floyd, calmly gets between them while giving Otto a Look™ and telling him to play nice, immediately flustering him so badly Otto has to run away to avoid embarrassment.

Not sure if Floyd and JD would find it funny or be horrified at the idea of Otto actually being into Bruce (even if it will never develop into a relationship).

The Talk consists of Bruce telling Otto to leave his brothers alone
