Winston/Monty part 10

They left the cafe around 1:15 and walked down to the police station.

And they were finished after two hours later. Scott gave the cop informations about who was involved in this cover up- this time, he believe them. They also went through the evidence one more time.

Now Scott was sitting in he waiting room, while Winston was still with the officer.

"[...] And we found something in his jail cell- and I think its adressed towards you."

"What is it?"

The officer opened a drawer and took out a tiny plasic bag with something inside of it which resembled a letter.

"Its a letter. You shouldnt read it here- take it home with you."

"As you say so. Can I go now?"

"You can leave- yes."

Winston left the office room and went back to Scott.

"What took you so long?"

"The cop gave me something- I have to read it now. Cant stand waiting until I'm home."

"Do you really think you should read it here? Maybe its something serious."

"I'll do it anyway."

"Then at least sit down you dont look so good."

Winston nooded and set down next to him, they were the only one in this room.

He pulled the bag open and took the letter out, then started to read it after folding it open.

His eyes started to fill with tears.

The letter read:

"Winston... You dont deserve any of thie and I am so sorry. I am a piece of shit. Please... you deserve so much better. Find someone new someone who makes you happy. Not like me. You deserve better- forever. I still woder why you wated me around. I still wonder whats so special about me... I fucking love you so much but we will never see each other again."

Winstons hands were shaking- Scott noticed it.

"No..." Winston whispered.

"No. Why would he.... write something like that...?"

"What is it...?" Scott carefully asked.

"That... I think... thats a suicide note. Montys suicide note..."

Scott couldnt believe what Winston just said.

"Are you sure...? I mean [...]" but he got interrupted by loud, desperate sobs.

"Winston- ... hey. Its all right..." he reached out to touch his shoulder. The last time he had heard someone crying like this was at Jeffs funeral. And this was a long time ago.

"We should get you home. This is not the best place to let out your emotions."

"I cant drive.. like this"

"Glad you have me with you."

He carefully took the letter out of Winstons hand and folded it together again, put it back in the bag.

"I'll drive."

Winstons was still sobbing- loudly.

Scott stood up and reached for his hands as he noticed that Winston was glowing- he softly touched his forehead

"Goddamn- you're hot- Like... you have a fucking fever and still dare to come over. You're crazy."

Winston stil said nothing- instead just stood up.

"Probably because of all this stress."

"Right. Don't lie- when was the last time you slept?"

"Don't know. Maybe 3 or 4 days ago."

"And the last time you ate something?"

"3 to 4 days."

"Don't do that to yourself. He didnt want you to end like this:"

He took Winstons hand and they went outside.

"Where'd you parked your car?"

"Across the street."

He handed Scott his car keys- hands still shaking.

"When we're home- get some sleep. No one wants to see you like this. Not Monty"

They drove home in silence and arrived in silence. Every now and then, Scott glanced over to him to make sure he's still alive. Sometimes, he saw tears running down his face.

"We're here. Should I carry you piggypack into your house?"

Winston laughed a weak laugh.

"No I think I can walk by myself."

"I trust you."

He slowed down his steps and Winston followed him inside.

"Such a huge home- would totally get lost in it."

"Monty got lo here his first time..." his voice broke. "that... was kinda cute."

"I can imagine that. He was so lost. Anyway... its bedtime for you. Sleep as long as you want to while I make something to eat for you."

"Sure...?"

"Yes. I dont have anything to do anyway. Besides getting lost in this house. So its no big deal"

"The kitchen is on the left side. Good luck finding it."

He walked upstairs and left Scott alone.

After he succsessfully found the kitchen, he quickly started to look through the supplies.

"I should probably get him something warm to drink"

He made him some tea and walked upstairs.

"All these many doors- how should I find him?"

He sighed and noticed a door half closed. He walked towards it and opened it quietly.

"Winston? You awake?"

No response. He was already asleep.

"Gonna leave this here."

He out the cup on the nightstand next to his bed.

"And this too."

He put the bag with Montys note in the nightstan. Before he left he room he checked on Winston, put his hand on his forehead- he was still glowing like hell.

"Totally relatable- was the same back then."

He sighed and left the room.

"Maybe I should get him some medicine."

One hour later, he was back again at the house after he left to buy some meds.

He placed the bag at the kitchen counter and started to prepare the food, as he heard footsteps

"Winston? Up again?"

He nooded, still looking weak.

"You shuld go back to sleep."

"Can't"

"Why not?"

"Not feeling like it anymore."

"If you say so.. but dont fall asleep right here."

"Won't"

"All right then. Take a seat- your personal slave will do some magic."

"I'll wait like the good kid I am."

Scott smiled and turned his back at him. starting to make him some good meal.

"And I bought you some meds. Take them after you ate. They'll probably knock you out for good."

"You thought about everything- dont you?"

"Well- being friends with someone like Monty had some benefits. Not everytime- but sometimes when he got into fights with his dad he came up to me and I took care of his problems. The time his dad broke his arm I went to the hospital with him."

"Sounds like you delt with his trouble very often."

"Oh yeah- but he never notice. At least it looked like he denied the fact that I cared. I told him to give up Bryce, telling him to stop defending him- all because I cared. I just wanted the best for him."

"We both wanted."

Scott nooded.

"8 moth ago we had spring fling. He wasnt ther and neither was I. So I invited him over. If I remember correctly he was in a pretty dark place at that moment, kinda disturbed. Now I know why. He kept behaving strange. I wanted him to stay overnight but he didnt want to."

"What a caring sweet boy you are." Winston said, in a soft serious way.

"Stop joking." he smiled.

"I mean it. You even make meals like a good housewife."

Scotts smile faded a bit. But Winston couldnt see it because he still had his back turned at him.

"I'm used to it too."

"Oh? Really?"

"Yes."

They went silent for some minutes and Scott placed the plate full of food on the table.

"Looking good- where'd you learn these skills?"

Scott sat down, across from Winston.

"Everytime we went to a party I stayed at a friends house overnight- he always had kinda bad hangovers. So one day I started this all- and it somehow became a tradition."

"Whos this mysterious friend you're always talking about? Is it the one Sheri mentioned?"

"Yes:"

Silence again.

"So... whats up with this friend? Whats his name again?"

"Jeff."

"Yeah- why dont you want o visit him?"

"Theres no reason to visit him. Theres no one to visit."

Winston tilted his head slightly.

"What did Sheri mean with "We all three lost someone who meant much to us?""

This time, Scotts hands were shaking and he felt like he was about to cry.

"Because Jeff died on September the 9th, 2017. Death cause was a car accident."

Winston stopped breathing for some seconds. Totally unable to say anything.

"Oh... I'm so sorry- I shouldnt have pushed you to tell me."

"Its fine. How'd you know anyway..."

"Thats why you dont want to visit him?"

"No. Its not. I..." he took a deep breath. "I just feel like I completely failed him."

"Why would you say that?"

"Like I said- He knew Monty, introduced me to him. After I transferred to Liberty I started to get to know him better... thats what I already told you. But theres more to it. Jeff told me I should keep an eye on him. He didnt want to be around them anymore - I dont blame him - instead he told me to take care of him. I really tried my best and I tried even more after Jeff died. And now.... that Monty is dead too I feel like thats on me. He would've never snapped if somebody was there for him that day Bryce broke up their friendship... that day he assaulted Tyler. And because no one was there he did it. I was supposed to be there for him. Monty went to jail and died there- lonely, felt like he was all alone. There were signs written all over... he felt lost. After he told his dad. He still would be alive if I had tried harder. And he would've got the help he needed. From you, from me."

Winston listened in silence.

"I failed completely"

"No. You didnt. Like you said to me .... you did the best you could. ut it was a hard task, to pull him out of the darkness... impossible for just one guy to handle."

Scott buried his face in his hands to stop his eyes from tearing up.

"If you want you can stay over tonight. I wont kick you out. we both have things to work through. And we should stay out of school tomorrow."

Finally Winston knew why he was so desperate for the truth to come out.

This is me letting you go

We met exactly in one and half year ago, didnt know each other yet, well, i've heard you before, a lot, but not really paid attention. That time, i feel ur eyes judging me, thought u are the one i should avoid the most.

And then, we're going to karawang. It's the first day you finally talked to me. You asked me abt romi-dude, and i said he was the most handsome guy in the gang. You laughed at me, and i just strunted my eyebrow, feeling weird.

Turns out it was your birthday, it was so late and we didnt give u a proper wishes. Vincya made u blow up the candle with her zippo. Well, next day everyone throwed a party for u, and i dont feel like belongs to family so, i just slept on my blanket, faking to be busy.

And time passed. We got along well, but not that well. Until one day, you asked me to watch coco. I want to reject u at first, scared that we might got awkward as the movie played. But fortunately, we didnt. U even shed a tears, and u said u never cried in front of everyone but certain person. And lucky me, i am one of the kind.

And u told me abt ur stories, and i'd loved to listen every words u said. Blablabla, and u told me ur school, ur ex, ur family, and all bout stuffs. Serious matters. And u shed a tears once again. Want to give u a hug but who am i anyway?

Once again, we got along well, this time, we got along pretty well, as u ended up in same division as me, we traveled a lot, together. Bogor, bandung, medan, bali, what that was again?

And i remember the time when we had a staycation in ubud. U never been that clingy to me. U tailed me wherever i go. And for some reason, idk what, u loved to took a picture with me. It was the first time finally i feel something in u.

Do u remember? The time when we didnt go exploring ubud but swam in early morning? Time when i really want to made a group with u in our ttw camp? Time when i nagging a lot, longing for beach, and u were the one who made people going there, to fulfil my needs. U remember when we had dinner at jimbaran? We took a lot of photo. U even held my hand as if we were a real couple. U made me swing my body. I feel weird but still did it anyway.

At the end, i know it was u who always accompanied me. When i went back to dinner table after took some photos in beach, when im all alone, surprisingly u also went back and sat with me for the time being. And because of that, i cant help but seeing u as a different person.

So as we went back to jakarta, when u sat right next to me on the plane, i really cant help secretly laid my head onto ur shoulder. For a glimpse, for a second, and i could feel the warmth already.

Last, u remember when we waiting for our luggage in conveyor belt? I absent mindly dropped my trolley. Everyone laughed at me, but u. You just smiled, and helped me lifted it back.

Sometimes you surprised me with what you did. Once, you asked me going on rooftoop in the middle night, watching sky full of star with sight of pool in front of us. The next day, you asked me to accompanied you ate sekoteng at 1 AM on a narrow street at bandung. And how do i forget all of your stories on your igs? Once you told that i'm much cuter than kawa. Then you told me to picked between jeans and flanel. And you made me popped up in your 2ndary account. It might be just a birthday wishes, but it really means a lot, for me.

And soon, i realized that you always came by my bench. Once you just passed by. Once you sat on the chair next to me and asked me a things. Once you deliberately brought your laptop and worked in front of me.

People started gossiping us. Some took photo and shared it on group. Some talked behind. Some frankly asked what our relationship really are. What we did just smiled. Neither saying no nor yes.

Time passed once again, long story short u asked me to become ur fwb. Still remember the day u gave me a paper-made-flower. Idk why but i felt butterfly on my tummy. Weird. Shouldnt be that happy but i am.

Turns out it was totally wrong when i asked u to make clear abt ur feelings towards me. I shuld left it hanging but what i did was pushed u to confess. Never knew that would be bad.

Then we made some rules so no one gettin hurt. You told me not to get hard feeling. But it cant be. You know, my feelings already hard to begin with.

Till one day i felt different towards u. You changed. And I came to confront. U said u werent into relationship. I understand, as u started to avoid me, i started to forget u.

But who knows we got a long too well? We attached into each other, somehow. I started to walked away from u, but u popped up once again. Gone clingy with ur dumb smile.

Darn you, spirit of fungus.

And i couldnt resist u at a moment, i come too far by moved out and picked a house rent nearby u. Crazy, i know. And once again, u proved me u really attached to me as u always always and always asked me to had my supper with u.

I know it always been fun hanging together with u. We spent a day, a night. Talking unnecessary thing. Full of laugh. No phone, no people, no distraction. Just two of us. With our own world.

As the feelings started to blooms, i began to showed u a real side of mine. A bitchy one. Annoying, angry, meany, sucks. I got mad couple times. I talked bad. Im an asshole, i know.

Thought u would got tired and walked away from me. But it's you i know. U just being u. U put down my anger by showing me a good side of yours. And you stayed.

Then i started to questioning abt our rules. If we already did a right thing or not. Bcs if we were a real fwb, i shuldnt gone that far by got mad at u. As i start to asked u abt this relationship, u ignored me and just left everything the same.

We were going abroad together on November. Singapore. Your hometown for half a year on 2014. It was a group trip but i'm gone too far by being clingy with you. You didnt pushed me back and let everything be.

We went to USS. And we almost looked like a couple as we always riding things together on theme park. We also did a lot of couple lookalike shoot. Full of awkward pose. After all we are not a real couple.

But you surprised me by knocking my door at 7 AM. It was cloudy morning. Rainy outside. Cold. I opened the door and you straightly went to my room. Snuggled up under my blanket. And i could hear you snoring. As i'm watching you sleep, i wonder if we weren't really a couple. But no, we're not. I'm your friend, i said to myself.

Many things happened. Who knows that i would staying with you on your surgery day? I saw you screaming cause of a shoot. You made me see every single step mrs doctor did to your feet.

And i cant forget all of day we watched movie together. It was a midnight movie. We were wearing our pajamas. I didnt wear any make up and you didnt bother.

Once, you asked me to ate midnight snack on 1 AM when i already put some skincare, turned off the lamp and ready going to bed. We ended up going on conversation until 5 AM.

Sometimes you cooked for me. And you always granted my wish by making some dish my mother barely cooked.

It was sure a best day of mine.

4 months later, after i moved out to your neighborhood, you decided to left cause you cant stand living alone. Im not lying when i said, its saddening. Once i mad at you, gone clingy, questioning you all over if you would still there. But you tell me you're not going anywhere. You're not going to leave me. Then i come to trust you with disbelief.

Now you are going busy with your work. And your life, perhaps? You kinda ignoring me, not replying my text, not answering my call (okay its too exagerrated), not even read 'em. And what can i do? I dont want to ruin everything. So i just sit back and wait. I really dont want to disturb you. You have your own life.

And i'm letting you go this time. Letting you do what you wanna do. I dont want to hold you back. After all, Im just your friend. Like your other friend. But with slight of benefit which i dont know what.

Feel free to stay. Feel free to go.

truly she did make me feel nice!!!! i really liked to say goodnight to her n stuff and im sorry but i dont quite remember anything besides the feelings i sometimes got which was like kind of right now where my chest is a little hurt but im happy actually my chest may be hurting right now because bras r dumb or w/e i should wear some with cups someday, whatever, therye not what im used to, cupless bras for rr ever ! at least until i remove my tiddys some day because im certain they’ll be too big for my comfort someday and im talking about myself rather than my feelings huh

ANYWYAS THE FEELING UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh cant quite describe it it’s rather hard to recall it since i haven’t felt it in like, a month . i usually felt it when hanging out with kiley like on minecraft or smoething it was mostly extreme happiness and it was fun to be around her most of th time

anyways my throat kinda feels fjunky my right eye hurts n my left nostril’s the only one i can breathe through good night im taking an allergy pill tomorrow when no body awake because that could be the case or it could not, who knows, whatever, its in my genes just like de pression o-o. and adhd i think? yea my mommy has adhd but i dont think i do . i’m pretty sure i only have like a light form of depression and a light form of social anxiety i feel more nervous about social situations than i lay in bed thinking “i should do something” but feeling nothing and not doing anything whatsoever that only happened on like april fool’s day of last year and probably a few times where i had to mow man outdoor chores sure do put me in a rather bad mental state . aka mowing / shoveling snow off the drive way i should probably tell someone that like i feel like dying whenever i have to shovel snow and it’s utter torture to mow i certainly am going to live in an apartment or something of the sort to avoid this horrid nightmare fuel of a chore. \

FINN: [stumbles out of the bar, his shoe catching on the doorframe, he laughs and picks up his phone that fell out of his pocket] Stoopid phone. Its ruinnned. [groans and looks up his contacts, finding Marley's name and dialing her number.] Mars bar. Marlaaay! Marleigh...MARLEY: [half asleep and sitting up in bed as she answers] Finn? Where are you? Are you drunk?

FINN: [nods in answer to her question before laughing] Yeppers. I'm totally effed up. Marleys, Quinns preg and dosn't want me to be in its lifeeee. Even though I totes wuld. I cants be a deadbets like dad.

MARLEY: [sighs and rubs her head] I know. You'd be a great dad. Maybe give her time and she'll change her mind.

FINN: [looks up in confusion, looking at his phone] Hows you know? I haven't told anyoneeee. She hatesss me, dosen't want to have baby with me. Made me say I wuldn't help her rase it.

MARLEY: She texted me about it. I thought she would've told you. Finn, why would say you wouldn't help her?

FINN: [sighs, throwing his hands up] I donts know. When I toldddd her I wuld, she sayd no, she didn't wants my help and called me stupid, saying it was alreayd going t have my gens and she didn want it to be anymore dumb.

MARLEY: [sighs] You are not dumb and neither is the baby. This is just proof she's going to be a terrible mother. [pauses] Where are you? I'll come get you and we'll talk.

FINN: [runs a hand through his hair, looking around for any sign of familiarity] I, uh, I don't knowww. I dun see anythin I recognize... i think i may be in Nelsonville. Dat's wha the sign says... I'as tryin' to get to Lima...

MARLEY: [jumps out of bed and slips on some shoes] Just stay there. I'll come get you. You can stay at my place tonight.

FINN: [shakes hsi head, throwing his hands up as if to say he'd be fine.] S'okay. I can walk. Its rally not that far. Dont wanna makes ya get up out o bed.

MARLEY: Finn, no. I'll come get you. I want you safe.

FINN: [sighs but nods, knowing that even sober, he'd never have won the argument] I be at the bus stop, prob sleepin'.

MARLEY: [grabbed her keys and left her apartment] Don't sleep. You can stay on the phone with me. I don't want someone to mug you.

FINN: [nods, leaning his head back and closing his eyes] I'm sorry for all this, Mar.U deseve better tahn me.

MARLEY: Don't be sorry. All this isn't your fault. You deserve better than what you're being dealt. [Slams the door of her car and starting to drive, putting the phone on speaker]

FINN: I knew she was cheatin and I sill stayed with her. I mus be a sucker for pain. I shuld have broken up wit her sooner. And now, im stuf with her.

MARLEY: She was cheating on you? How does she even know they baby's yours?

FINN: She cheat whole time on me. Show me chart of when we have sex and how old babe is. it match up.

MARLEY: That doesn't make any sense, though. If it was the whole time, she couldn't know for certain it's yours.

FINN: im sleepsy. you almost here? [lays down on the bench, closing his eyes]

MARLEY: I'm pulling in now. [She parked and saw him on the bench. She ran over to him and touched his face] Let's go to the car, okay?

FINN: [looks up at her and smiles] Hey you... [sits up] I so sorry for this, Mars Bar.

MARLEY: [fights back tears] It's okay. You can't help what's happening. [Kisses him softly] You can stay at my place, okay? We'll figure this out.

FINN: [nods, getting up on wobbly legs and pulls her in for a hug, rubbing her back] Oh kay. I'm an idiot but o course, you already knew that.

Hello, I am trying to arrange vehicle insurance. I have contacted A&L with regards to their car insurance. Basically I have just changed jobs, where I had company cars for the last 6 years with no claims. I found out that my employer was taking over $800.00 a month for health insurance. When I found out I ask to cancel insurance and get my own. I call the insurance company cancelled it on March 11, 2010 they confirmed it was cancelled. My employer is still taking the payment out of my check.
