Finally decided to post something here, and what's better then Echo/Mr.E? First one is before my girlfriend tips and second after. I hate colors with passion but i want to (and need to) use them so bad.

If this account don't help me draw more ninjago and using colors... i'm doomed. As person who is picky about anything they draw i can't stop looking at this nose fheuyrnv4t y7ntveu IT'S TOO GOOD FOR ME.

Propablly next thing i will draw will be my second wife Pixal whom i find expecially hard to draw, or little zangst comic from the Dragon Rising (give my boy proper treatment and stop using him as freaky walking wikipedia!!!).

shout out to op of the phee/tech & pixal/zane post cause now I can't stop thinking about the parallels between Tech and Zane deaths like

both of their initial plans failed. For Zane and the ninja it was in using the pill on the Overlord don't ask sjdbjsjs For Tech and the Bad Batch it was in placing a tracker on Hemlock's ship. Both plans failing due to another's interference.

They then had only one option, an act of self sacrifice for the sake of their loved ones well in Zane's case for the sake of the city as well but we're ignoring that bit for rn. Zane dies. His loved ones grieved. But he is able to return and continue on. Tech dies. His loved ones grieve. There's a chance that he, like Zane, will be able to return and continue on.

so yea, very similar deaths. both causing me emotional distress :)

Sorry for the delay. You asked mostly for Kai's so I delivered. If anyone wants more hcs about the others I can work on it some time in the future (I also have more of Kai).

Now the hcs:

• All the ninja have PTSD from everything they’ve been through

• And abandonment issues

• Cole has an eating disorder and eats when he’s stressed, this is one of the reasons he is very insecure of his weight. People online poke at him for it

• Jay's terrified of losing his loved ones again because of him. That is another reason why he went absolutely crazy post Seabound, as he thinks it was his fault Nya had to resort to sacrificing herself

• He used to be bullied for living in a junkyard before becoming a ninja and that's why he was ashamed of it

• Zane always shoves down everything wrong that happens to him (e.g being the Ice Emperor for way too long to be ok about it) because he puts the team and their needs first.

• Nya has nightmares from the time she died in skybound but doesn't tell anyone.

• She had to keep her work and love life secret from her brother for fear that he would shut her down to protect her. Her fear persisted well into s1 and that's why she felt she had to hide Samurai X even from Kai

• Lloyd still admires his uncle despite his obsession with the green ninja (and all the neglect that came with it) because he's the only relative that actually took him in

• All of the ninja have at some point hidden an injury at least once. But Kai and Nya are the ones that do it more often (Nya specially when she was samurai X), and know how to treat mild wounds because of it.

• Kai and Nya do physical activities when they’re stressed or have emotions they don’t want to process. They can do their thing like Kai working in the forge and Nya doing mechanics but they usually train, however they can go on for hours (Kai has passed out a few times)

• Kai and Zane have a very poor sense of self. Zane’s comes from him not valuing his life and thinking he’s expendable since he can be rebuilt, ignoring all the trauma that comes from getting severely hurt or “dying”. Kai has problems seeing his worth as a human being because he’s never lived for himself; everything he does is for someone else and so he thinks his value resides in what he can do for other people. 

• Kai is terrified of the idea of being alone, it’s his worst fear.

• He has THE WORST coping mechanisms and Zane is confused on how his body was able to go through all of them (Alcoholism, illegal fights, smoking…)

• Kai is an insomniac, he barely sleeps most nights and instead just waits until he passes out (He has very deep eyebags because of it but hides them with make up, covering his freckles too). He sometimes bumps into some other ninja at night since they all have fucked up sleep schedules. 

• Lloyd also has a lot of problems sleeping because of nightmares and goes to Kai or Nya’s room where he feels safer (mostly into Kai’s). Sometimes they stay up at night chilling or they try to sleep. In those cases the nights with Lloyd are the ones where Kai sleeps the most because he feels safer too.

• Kai has chronic depression because of his fucked up childhood

• Lloyd thought he had depression too for a while but it turned out to be autistic burnout because of the stress of being the green ninja. But he can’t properly rest or heal from the burnout so he’s exhausted most of the time.

• When he’s stressed Kai forgets to eat and can go days with very little food because he’s used to it from being poor in his childhood.

• Genuinely forgot what it feels like to be a kid and have no responsibilities so it’s his personal mission to not let that happen to Lloyd. Kai would be devastated if Lloyd ended up like him.

• Kai sometimes feels insecure about his face scars and contemplates hiding them with make up.

• Kai’s touch starved but terrified of letting people in.

• He hides his negative emotions as anger and when the others try to reach out to him he pushes them away by getting angry at them until it's mutual and they leave him alone.

• Never told the others about what he did after Zane’s “death”. He fixed himself up, alone.

out of context can i talk about fugidove for a second. i love how we're introduced to a character that thinks they're a big bad villain, and instead are just unknown and he's kinda disappointed but still continues like he had actually done something bad. i also love how he's designed to be a literal bird and i wholeheartedly think he might be autistic and have a special interest in doves and pigeons in general and also with villains & criminals. he's using the coos as a vocal stim and the ""wing"" flapping as a stim to regulate himself bc the feathers are overstimulating him same with the mask sometimes and he knows enough about the villains in kryptarium to info dump to others. :3 (i also think he might get exploited at some point due to the info dumping whether that would be by other villains, the police or the ninja (possibly ronin as well?))

i also love how he has an unnamed brother who's supportive of him (at least what i gathered of the first interaction in prime empire when he got his screen time) and his life decisions literally quoting his coos to PIXAL and Zane lol. also going to Ronin they would make a hilarious duo (and do) and that's based on like three time interactions they had.

However i'm still quite curious over Fugidove's & his brother's backstory and what they're lives were like ebofrehand. i read that it was suspected he doesn't have a good relationship with his mother from the wiki? also he was originally supposed to be an owl which makes it hilarious to me that he ended up being a dove. (going from a powerful avian predators to a domesticated yet hate-loved swarming city birds that are both really really pretty birds.)

-fav animal is seals bc they so silly, also one my most fav youtubers, leamon puppy has her main as a seal, think that’s where I first started loving seals so much but idk XDDD

-I absolutely love vintage vids, just something so interesting about them to me! I love animes from the 90s-2010s most, but my most FAVORITE anime genre is magical girls!

11 - rewrite, redesign, and/or reinterpretation

Okay- so-

I don't have a current rewrite. I do, however, have my own canon. It's mostly a playground for my ocs tbh.

That being said-

I love shadow knights. I love their mechanics and made my own rules for them.

So-

Shadow Knights are people who have had their soul ritually torn and removed. When someone is sacrificed on an alter to the shadow lord, they die. Their soul is extracted and half of it is given to the shadow lord for power. The other half is used to reanimate the dead. This grants them strength, speed, and some magic - a la The Shadow Knight Form.

Shadow knights complete their ritual by slaying either a loved one, someone they had an oath to, or just...so many innocent people. So, some SKs come back and off their spouses or their lords or like- burn an orphanage. Classic stuff, really. And bada bing bada boom, you got yourself a fully realized shadow knight!

Unrelated but another Danni Rewrite thing-

Brian betrays PD in my version because he is sick of living in a small town where nothing happens and he's living under his father's shadow. Also, Zane promised he could help Brian come into power.

Sometimes, though, Brian betrays PD because he's trying to woo one of the guards - my oc, Virgil - but they are more loyal to their village than Brian.

This, depending on the work I'm writing, leads to Virgil killing Brian and becoming a full shadow knight because they did truly love him, but they couldn't let him destroy the town that took them in.

YES i wuv grinch. hes literally so fun i love his murky past and lore. so, Grinch:

artistic. he has a very realistic style and he tends to stick to drawing landscapes and animals in pencil just in a little notebook he keeps.

he drew his centipede tattoo. at least the initial sketch for it. he really likes tattoos ! if he didn't like being a marksman for Zane so much he might be a tattoo artist instead

i like in his bio where it suspects he had a western education. i think he's naturally very smart and inquisitive and when his parents noticed that they worked on getting him to school in America thinking that would be best (touchy subject for him. very mixed feelings)

because of this i can see him as one of the few 18 yr olds who join the us military to gain citizenship. again, mixed feelings, and he didn't stay in long. really really likes to live offgrid he's learned through the years. also really, really doesn't like not having any control over his own schedule

he never really gets close to anyone even though he's generally very friendly. he might learn a lot about someone but he doesn't offer much on himself. very guarded, but not mean about it.

he does not like to flash his intelligence except tactically. him and mace might debate but it largely revolves around grinch playing devils advocate bc he thinks it's funny. he does Not care much for politics or philosophy or anything truly he just wants to enjoy life

Contents: Other than the TWs, not much. Z is autistic (though it's not mentioned) and selectively mute, so he only really communicates with T and C via noises. (I'm potentially autistic btw so this isn't meant to come across as offensive)

Mama has always told Zane not to go too far from home, especially not during winter. Zane wishes he had listened to Mama.

He didn’t expect the snowstorm to come in so quickly, Papa had told him it would be here in a few hours. Maybe it has been a few hours, Papa never lies.

Zane is shivering really bad. Mama and Papa are probably worried about him. He wants to go home, but he’s never been good with directions. He doesn’t know which way home is supposed to be.

His arms and legs feel stiff, making it hard to walk. The world is all white around him. He trips over nothing and lays there, crying quietly. He wants to go home.

Zane just wants to go home.

Zane is woken up by someone gently shaking him. He whimpers quietly, expecting Mama or Papa’s voice. Instead, there’s a rather bored-sounding voice instead. “This one might as well be dead,” The voice says, sighing. “We probably shouldn’t bother.”

There’s another voice, a slightly more upbeat one. “Some of them take a while to wake up,” Voice number two says with a sympathetic tone. “Besides, I think I heard them make a noise.”

Voice number one rolls him over, and he’s greeted with a burnt and scarred red cat. Zane cowers, trying to make himself seem smaller. Voice number two is another cat, nearly pitch black against the plain beige background of the area they’re in. “There we go,” He says, holding out a paw. “Hey, buddy. What’s your name?”

Zane just stares at him. The burnt cat stares at Zane with plus-shaped pupils. The one with ears that looks like those of a Lynx gives him a warm and friendly smile. “It’s okay, you don’t need to be scared.”

When Zane doesn’t respond, he continues talking. “Can you talk?”

“...Mhm,” He hums, then stops and shakes his head. “Mm-mm.”

“Well, that’s helpful,” The burnt cat deadpans. The Lynx shoots her a glare.

“Can you give me the first letter of your name? Just sounds is fine.”

Zane pauses for a moment before doing his best. “Zzz.”

“Z?” The Lynx asks, and he nods. “Well, Z, this is the Void. You, uh, live here now. I’m C, and my friend here is T.”

Z continues staring with a slightly tilted head. C gives him a small, slightly sad smile. “You... you died, Z. So now you’re here. This is, uh, like heaven, kinda.”

Oh. Oh. But he’s still here, so he can’t be dead.

He makes a discontent noise. T yawns. “You were brought back to life. Don’t ask us why, we don’t know. But we’re basically a family here, so you won’t be alone.”

Z doesn’t want to be alone, so he jolts forward and hugs close to C. After a few moments, C hugs back. “It’s gonna be okay, kid. I promise.”

Pixal didn't really GET Zane till she got to know him, and I really love how Ninjago didn't do the thing where they make the "robot characters" practically indistinguishable from one another.

Zane is autistic, but he has an amazing (lame) sense of humor. The first thing he did when he showed up at the end of season three was flirt with Pixal! "Are we.. compatible now?" Like, shut UP? You smooth motherfucker?? Disembodied rizz?

Pixal, on the other hand, is very practical and no nonsense, and the lunatics she lives with drive her crazy sometimes. She cares about Zane and her friends deeply, but she's very leval headed, which might be misinterpreted as her being a stereotypical "robot" character, but she's not. She's fiercely protective of her people, and she has never ever hesitated to end a bitch. That's just her personality, and it's really been that way from day one. When Zane gave her half his heart, she did change, but I don't think her personality was altered at all. She just seemed to have more life in her, which could raise some questions about WHAT exactly Zane's power source was?

Toriginal power source is gone, but Zane and Pixal are both the same people. Was the power source Zane's soul? Was the thing he gave Pixal a literal part of himself that she made her own? I REALLY wish they'd delve into this. Dr. Julian needs to explain himself, because all we got was an "idk what powered Zane" from Kai, and nothing else

Pixal and Zane are often labeled as neurodivergent by the fandom, and I get that. I think that diagnosis is 100% accurate for Zane, and it's pretty clear that Pixal also has a level of trouble implementing social cues and norms, but idk. They feel different to me. Like while Zane is genuinely struggling to think the way his peers do, Pixal is just working across a cultural divide of some kind. And I feel like the ninja kind of treat her that way, like the foreign exchange student for which English is not her first language.

In conclusion, Zane is Autistic, and Pixal is European.

* he didint understand that he was autistic untill Jay found a autisim switch behind some cables.

* they do not understand social ques what so ever and completely relies on the other ninja to explain when someones being sarcastic.

* didint understand how the others culd wear their gis without wanting to explode.

* only has like three safe foods

*one of them is a very specific tea he had a major melt down over when they canceled(wo managed to find someone who still sold it and it just so happen that theres always a box or two in the kitchen), will only eat chrunshy food or soup.

* hates when ever whe team changes their style of gis cuse they have to adjust to new dumb textures and look.

* special intrests history, and birds.

*their favorite bird is ofcourse a falcon but after that ducks.

*hyperfixasions true out the years how tea is made, street food, the first spinjitsu master, the history of english letters (specifically w), carots, mythology and wedding cakes (for no other reson then cole showed him difrent ones and he was then stuck)

* stimming inclueds alot of rocking and jumping, flappy hands, rubbig his face and arms, claping, snapping, making pop noises, sometimes screaming, so much chewing and hitting his head.

*dosent understand gender or sex at all just very agender and very ace.(he/they/ze)

*sensory issues mostly surounsing tutch and hearing, loud and high pitched noices are literal hell, as far as chlothes go they only realy wear big chuky wool sweaters over long sleeved t-shirts. God how ze hated the gis until everyone figured out he was autistic and made it out of a beter material.

*hates skin contact with anything and is almost always coverd from head to toe.

*bodies of water with no sand are a sensory heaven.

* practivaly nonverbal and only realy talks with the other ninjas, uses asl and acc devises in private but will talk in publc ever when it couses melt and shut downs after cuse he dosent want the press being judgie.

* loves hugs and cuddles and holding hands with people. Cole is the best sinces hes always warm plus hes tall so he can wrap his arms around zane and ever cary him around on realy bad sensory days when he just wants to to nothing cuse everythibg is to much and the uneven floring of the bouty is like walking on a vulcano.

*has like 5 dirent waited blankets that he got from his friends and difrent points.

*hides under desks and when he was youger beds when zes over whelmed. Or makes a weithed blaket cocon and just lays there.

*hates mouth kises but anywhere else is fine. Cole is defently fine with that and was upset the other hadent told him earlier when he found out.

*is almost always wearing somekind of headphones.

*will gladly lisen as someone else rants on and on about literally anything.

* loves puns.

*hates the titanium body because it was even better hearing and sensors, so bad sensory days are much more common.

*super jumpy.

*the others probobly shuld have figured out he was autistic earlier but neither of then realy knew what it was, but after they found out they where super suportive, they all make sure to never be to loud or to tutchy, they always help ze deal with the press or dumb people in public.

* jay knows how horible repairs are after chen and vex mixed with them and always makes sure he has a new bird documentary to distract Zane with.

*Kai makes sure to yell les and stops moving Zanes stuff around after the other has a melt down when he cant find his things where he put them.

*Lloyd stops lisening to music loudly all the time and makes sure to learn asl (probably faster then anything hes ever learnt)

*Nya makes all the tech on the bounty more sensory friendly and all finds ways to make all the mashines they have better to.

*Cole always makes sure there is findget toys or chewlery somewhere when they're on misions, he is also the one who will boy Zanes favorite snacks after a bad day and watch old disney movies with him. Cole is the best at dealing with melt downs and shut downs since he dosent panic as mutch as the others.

*wo will maditate with Zane sometimes and they talk about drama on the bounty together, wo is definitely Zane official unofficial granpa.

* so much disasosiation good god this boy isint ok

I am in a brainrot mood so I am subjecting y’all to my shitty random Ninjago headcanons because this show is already pretty gay but not quite gay enough:

Dr. Julien was autistic and wanted a son who would understand and be like him so he programmed Zane to be autistic too

After being in close proximity to so many explosions (because of his constant lighting shit on fire) Kai has pretty bad hearing loss

Nya made him special hearing aids because of this but Kai and most of the team are fluent in sign language

Jay has ADHD. I need not elaborate

Mans has so many stim toys its insane and he occasionally makes his own out of shit he has lying around

Speaking of Jay he has a lot of Lichtenberg scarring on his back and arms from using his powers

Kai also has a lot of scars from his powers but especially on his forearms and hands

His fight with the Boreal at the end of season 13 left him with some nasty nerve damage from frostbite when he blocked that ice blast so now Kai wears wrist braces sometimes

Cole has like half a dozen facial piercings most of which he has done himself in his bathroom with questionably safe equipment

He and Nya give each other new piercings/stick and poke tattoos sometimes

Nya gave Cole his snake bite piercings

Skylor and Kai tried to date after season 4 but it didnt really work out but they stayed friends and kinda forgot to tell everyone they broke up (at this point they’ve made a game out of how long they can make people think they’re still together)

Its been like 5 years and half the team hasn’t figured out that Kai and Zane started dating awhile ago

Kai sometimes drags Skylor to the nail salon and they get mani-pedis together while gossiping

Zane and Pixal have sort of a sibling dynamic/twin flame relationship

Pixal is dog autistic and Zane is cat autistic (don’t ask me to explain because I cant and if you get it You Get It)

Jay is the communal iPhone charger

Lloyd bleached his hair during his rebellious phase when he was still at Darkley’s but he got way too committed to the bit and Jay still isn’t convinced that Lloyd is actually a brunette

Morro hung around after DotD and he’s become kinda the equivalent of a mildly annoying poltergeist

Like he could leave and pass on if he wanted to but the Ninja kinda grew on him and he refuses to admit it so now he’s their resident insufferable asshole ghost

Jay collects beanie babies

Kai has a 1000000000-step hair/skincare routine and his products takes up like half the space in the bathroom

Cole has this thing where his powers make mineral deposits build up in his pores and he gets acne with little bits of crystal stuck in his pimples

Here’s Zane!

These are original designs so I’d appreciate you didn’t heavily reference, steal or copy them :)

If you haven’t seen the other posts and aren’t aware what Subterranean AU is, again see the post before this one. Easy explanation, it’s a magical boy au with the ninjas as magical boys. In the AU the boys are all tied together to Lloyd in ribbons of fate. The AU takes place in an original setting I made for a group of ocs that I out the ninjas in.

If you seen the original you already know this but if not, this is his role in the story

Zane is proud of his magic, he’s the most experienced with it and has been using it the longest, like his show counterpart he believes in saving people who cannot save themselves. Being kind and protecting those who need it. While he is not a robot in this au, he still holds those values close to his heart and doesn’t shy away from them. He uses his magic to save people, even when people don’t want his help because he’s magic. He’s constantly on the run due to the government not liking him for being so expressive with his magic. While in civilian form, he’s a model student. Perfectly in uniform, straight shoulders, quiet, respectful you name it. When he’s transformed, using his magic to help people? It’s when he’s the happiest. he’s not reckless, he’s very careful, and thoughtful in his outward use of magic. Never being caught, other than Lloyd fating them together, Zane is the one who really gets the others on board, they all look up to him. While helping people was always his motivation, Lloyd became one as well. Lloyd became his new purpose.

His magical boy design originally was supposed to be visually based off his more robotic falcon from like, I don’t remember which season specifically it’s from but when his falcon looks more metallic and more obviously robotic. Originally he was going to look more robotic, ‘cause in the AU he’s actually human, but that was quickly lost and he ended up looking more royal and regal? I think it looks nice, he might also go through a bit of a redesign but I’m not sure yet. I love the design, but I don’t think it reads well enough? I’m not sure yet. His fate bow is around his neck, tying in the back and the fallout from the bow looks like falcon wings. Or is supposed to look like falcon wings, I hope,, his gloves and boots have claws on them and his boots are supposed to look like snow boots. The blue in his face is supposed to resemble the metal plates from his titanium form. His magic gem is over his heart, to mimic and pay homage to his power source from the show.

Little Trivia for him,

He lives alone in a fairly nice apartment complex down down. He doesn't have any pets, but he does feed this bird that comes to his window sometimes.

Again, he’s somewhere between age 16-18 depending on how old you think the ninjas are, I’m indifferent

He also goes to the same public highschool, he is the oldest in the group.

His powers are still ice related, but much stronger than the show (think the way Katara used ice or todoroki) his weapon is a bow. I know in the classic his weapon is shurikens but in later seasons he's show to use a bow and that's just more interesting to me. I imagine the bow words like opal from Steven universe or Madoka from Madoka Magica. Where it's not exactly a physical object, but more on the magical side.

He has multiple jobs, but he's seen most often as a waiter at a diner near his apartment. He's also a vigilante, but he doesn't make money from that.

He has seen the others around campus a few times but usually kept to himself. He's often called 'robotic' or 'heartless' because he sometimes is more literal and doesn't show emotion as often as people are used too. (I personally like autistic headcanon for human Zane,, probably cause I'm autistic and love him) but he really met the others when he ran into Kai at the Library and met Lloyd.

He's been using his magic for the longest, so he's easily the strongest member on the team at the beginning. He uses his powers to help civilians, other magixs and he tries to defeat as many Ananthemas before they can hurt either. He's not very well liked by their government though.

COLE'S LOCKER

the fact it's broken and you can see his face peeking through is so fucking funny I had to do a double take

Then you have Jay getting shoved into his locker by Kai which is just... The definition of their friendship.

Also Jay has POSTERS ABOUT TRAINS which is SO REAL and also a bit autistic I know what you are Jay. And he has the pan and trans flag which is just Yes.

Then Kai's locker is just a bunch of random orange things and his name. It's so funny. Like, he totally would. Just put orange shit. On there. And then his name. It's perfect.

And then Zane in the background just normally stepping into his locker and it being the most UNnormal part of the picture is hilarious. Love my little robot man.

And then of course Lloyd in the foreground. The way he's drawn is just AGSJJDNDDN I want to eat him. Does that make sense? I feel like he'd taste like gingerbread with icing.

In general the art style for this piece is beautiful, the colours are amazing, and the lighting? GORGEOUS.

NInjago AU- Ninjago but it was Autistic!Lloyd's coping mechanism for real life

I'm inspired by that one Harry Potter headcanon where they said Hogwarts was a coping fantasy for Harry so yeah time to get gritty.

Garmadon is an abusive father in the fact that he has anger management issues. So sometimes he's really kind with Lloyd but sometimes he isn't. It got worst after Misako left the family. Lloyd was using the analogy of 'great devourer blood' as an explanation as to why his father was turning evil.

Darkley's School for Bad Boys is just your average Elementary school where they were a bit more mean to Lloyd because he's essentially parentless

In sometime Lloyd leaves his own home because he's scared of Garmadon and goes to his uncle. His uncle takes him in. Now, his uncle is a martial arts teacher and actually has 4 top students: Kai, Jay, Zane, and Cole.

The green ninja prophecy was just a thing that Lloyd used to illustrate the 4 fighting each other in order to become Wu's protege and inherit the dojo as well as Wu's technique.

Lloyd have actually met the 'ninja' is Juvenile / tuition and he starts to form a bond with them outside of the dojo. Inside, he's getting trained.

Wu finally told them all that Lloyd was going to inherit the dojo, because he felt that he was slowly nearing death's edge. The great devourer analogy is used here as well.

Evil business corporates, which Kai calls 'snakes', which transforms them into snakes in Lloyd's mind, tries to get the land back from the dojo. So S1 culminates into Wu dying and Garmadon managing to save the dojo.

Of course, the 'ninja' didn't want Lloyd to move back with Garmadon. S2 E1 happens pretty similarly in real life, where the ninja try to find jobs to support Lloyd as well as a good living space for him, because whilst Garmadon had saved the dojo, Wu hadn't written a will and his house is given back to the government.

Throughout S2, the Ninja are fighting a legal battle in order to keep Lloyd from Garmadon. It all ends when Lloyd tells the court that he'd rather be with the Ninja.

Tomorrow's tea is also an analogy as to how Lloyd feels more grown up himself, and in this AU Lloyd just matured by understanding that Garmadon doesn't provide a safe home for him.

Zane actually died in S3. It wasn't a computer virus, but rather, a real life one. Lloyd actually spent some time with his father because of quarantine and the ninja not being able to live together. But Zane couldn't die to a virus! The robot joke cemented Zane as a 'robot' in Lloyd's mind. Rather, Zane just had high functioning autism and the ninja didn't understand it at first but quickly realised what was going on.

I like to think of S4 as an analogy of Lloyd entering middle chool, and he was just sitting for an exam, trying to beat out other students and thinking of the principal/teacher of the school, 'Mr Chen', as the true villain because whoever was setting the questions was evil. He actually works together with his classmates to prepare for the exam and found that by working together, he got a higher grade. He still sees Zane, unable to ccept his death. S4 is also the death of the 'good' Garmadon, and Lloyd's accepted that his kind father was no more.

S5 is just Lloyd dealing with his trauma and abuse. He too may display signs of anger management issues. Lloyd calls this angry side of him 'Morro', and Cole feels like he has bipolar disorder, so they get him diagnose and on meds. Slowly, Lloyd feels the influence of Morro draining out of him, such as Morro not possessing Lloyd as much. He feels like Morro has disappeared, but really, it's just him accepting himself.

S6 was just a weird dream Lloyd had, he must have been asked too many questions by Jay about relationships with Nya since Lloyd is seen as Kai's younger brother.

S7 was just Nya and Kai dealing with their parental issues , aka news that their missing parents were found. Krux and Acronix were kidnappers and held them captive for years.

S8, now that is, ooh. Harumi is a girl Lloyd has a crush on in middle school, and Lloyd's heard rumours that his dad would do anything to get him back. 'Sons of Garmadon' was born through too many ruours and Lloyd just refers to that as a simplification of everything that was happening. He didn't know that Harumi was a trap set by his father, and when he tried to escape by fighting his father he couldn't win. he was sent to the hospital.

Unfortunately, Garmaodn had become a very influential person and sent Kai, Jay, and Cole (and Zane, Lloyd's mind supplies) overseas for their work. This left Nya shielding Lloyd. Together with Skylor, Kai's friend and crush, and PIxal, Zane's girlfriend, they try to tough through the extreme legal battles in order for Lloyd to remain separate.

S9 ending is just Lloyd making his father understand his decision to not go with him. With the fight draining out of him, Garmadon turns himself into the police, trying not to hurt Lloyd anymore.

S10 is the final legal battle where Lloyd tries to remain with the 'ninja'. The oni are Garmadon's workers and now find themselves out of a job. Of course they look to Lloyd for the heir to a Mafia that Garmadon was head of. Lloyd and his father have to work things out legally, and the years away from the other person caused the air between them both to be very awkward. They didn't understand each other at all.

It’s totally fine to headcanon Zane with autism but please don’t do it just cause he’s a robot

It’s a harmful stereotype to the autism community to make all the robot characters autistic just cause they act differently from other humans

Yes Zane can have autism. But it shouldn’t be for the robot reasons.

Maybe he has a hyperfixation on something or he likes to live in a routine (like how upset he was when his gi was dyed pink), but don’t make it because he doesn’t get social cues. That’s tied to his robot identity and I don’t want that

Some more headcanons for my AU (its turning in to a straight up rewrite) bc I like to suffer and so do you apparently (mostly season 1-3 stuff)

- Garmadon is not bitten by that fucking snake that turns him evil (that is peak bad writing right there), instead he suffers from the pressure his father, the first spinjitzu master puts on him as his first born son

- At the time ninjago is rather fragmented and ruled by local warlords who often lead raids on other villages and kill people in the process, so Garmadon believes that his father, bc of his spinjitzu the most powerful man in the country, should unite the people and bring peace to the land

- Since his father is very passive and against war, Garmadon builts up more and more anger towards him over the years since in his opinion his father is letting people die instead of putting his powers to use to help them

- Garmadon distances himself more and more from his family since they dont do anything to make the situation any better either

- At some point he decides to take matters into his own hands to unite the country but his father confronts him as he his about to leave

- Blinded by rage and daddy issues Garmadon kills his father and for a moment he stops and realizes what he has done, but then he decides that lives have to be sacrificed to reach his goal to create a better ninjago

- He takes his son Lloyd who is around 8 years old from his mother Misako who is disgusted and terrified of what her husband has done and since Lloyd has always idolized his father she sees him as rotten and corrupted as well so she leaves him

- Lloyd grows up with Garmadon who basically indoctrinates him and his other followers he has gained bc charisma into his ideology that ninjago needs a strong leader and that sacrifices are necessary to reach their goal of uniting the country (it lowkey turns into a fascist cult tho)

- Garmadon waits for Lloyd to show signs of some sort of power like him or his father, but even in Lloyd's late teens nothing is happening

- Garmadon grows increasingly dissatisfied as he wanted to use Lloyd as his personal weapon so he puts the same pressure on his son that his own father had put on him before

- Later when he sees his mother again he doesnt forgive her as easy as in the show, at first hes really hostile and misogynistic towards her (I mean he has reasons) and even after some time hes not able to fully trust or connect with her (mommy issues gang rise)

- Zane is not a nindroid but instead autistic or otherwise neurodivergent (I'm not an expert on that topic so if you feel like something else would be more accurate let me know)

- there is no overlord bc that concept is just so,,,, bland and ugh but my monkey brain hasn't come up with anything better yet

- theres still an epic battle between Zane and that evil power thing and Zane manages to kill it, but he summons a power that is way too strong for him

- As established the boys take a small amount of damage when they use their powers without their golden weapons, so when Zane uses that power against that evil source he literally freezes himself to death

- ✨He straight up dies bc this is the grown up version and we commit to things✨

- (I'm not sure if I like the concept of his soul possessing a random robot and that's him then tho)

- The boys are fucking devastated and it roughly goes as in the show

- Kai refuses to use his powers again and drowns his sorrows in alcohol (dont think I didnt get that reference @ ninjago writers)

- Jay distracts himself by completely ignoring his past and putting the spotlight on himself (the whole tv show host thing)

- Cole moves to the countryside and does his whole lumberjack thing, he occasionally uses his powers but much more carefully

That's all my monkey brain can come up with right now and theres a 99% change I'll change this all again in like 2 mins
