in lieu of having posted any writing/headcanons/asks in the past few days because i have been *so* busy and unable to do anything fandom-related which is terrible and evil, i have a poll out of morbid curiosity and self-indulgence. i've been meaning to ramble here about how i feel about DC's lack fo Deaf representation and which Batfam members i would personally make Deaf, but i am mildly curious about the larger opinion and now i will subject you all to the question, i would love to hear thoughts/opinions/headcanons on any specific choices. (would love d/Deaf/HoH opinions esp but i'm mostly expecting this to reach the hearing crowd, so opinions from hearing ppl are ones i'm very curious about. if you've never given it thought before you are going to now or else /lh)

(as many of you may or may not know) Studio Ghibli’s “Howl’s Moving Castle”, is based on the Diana Wynne Jones book by the same name, and there are actually a substantial number of differences between them!

i was curious how many people have experienced both or might like one more than the other, so i put together a poll to help us find out :)

to clarify, saying that you like one version more than the other does NOT mean that it’s better, or that the other one is worse or bad—i love both the book and the film! it’s just an expression of your own preference

Things to consider are obviously the screen time we get for both characters- We never for example see Lynn actually interact with Corbett, her daughter. My own assumption when it comes to let's say school? It's Jeff taking Corbett there. There's also how responsible we believe Lynn and Jeff should be for one another, not just their child. It isn't Corbett's job to tell either one of her parents that they're neglecting her or creating a bad home environment... It's both Lynn's and Jeff's job to hold the other accountable and I know they argue and have a fractured marriage- But whether or not they’re bad partners isn't the question, it's about them as PARENTS. I'll also state that I am at a general middle ground for now, I just like pushing things like this out to see other peoples opinions and make discussions.
