| Trigun Stampede Episode 6 Ramble

Before writing this whole thing I’m about to go on, I just want to say that i will be talking about major trimax spoilers, specifically for volume 10 as well as spoilers for tristamp (obviously)! so if you haven’t read trimax, maybe skip this post! Anyways, onto the ramble!

I’ve had this thought for a while now — since I’ve first watch stampede — but I’m dumb and don’t know how to out my thoughts into words. Along with this, I’m sure there are others who have made posts talking about this exact thing but I don’t care, I just want to brainrot and cry over this.

So, episode 6 of tristamp — “Once Upon a Time in Hopeland” — is the episode in which we as the audience are finally given a glimpse into Wolfwood and Livio’s childhood at the orphanage. And immediately, something stands out about this entire scene — the artstyle changes.

Instead of the typical CG/3D models that we the audience are used to, we are given this sketchy, simplistic, 2D animation style instead — almost similar to that of which you’d find in a children’s book. This of course, is completely different in comparison to what Tristamp had shown us previously. All the other flashbacks we had been shown thus far had still been rendered in CG. But this. This scene in particular is the only one with this art style. With that being said, it’s safe to assume that Studio Orange did this with the specific purpose of making this scene feel special and distinct. To make it stand out and to signal it’s importance.

Now, with that being said, why would studio orange go out of there way to make a distinct artistic style just for this moment? Not to mention, why make it only geared towards Wolfwood and Livio? Well… I think studio orange is going to use it in relation to Wolfwoods death.

Like, okay hear me out, I’ve seen some people say that there worried wolfwood won’t die next season (for whatever reason) but like THE DEATH FLAGS ARE ALREADY THERE!

LIKE!! THE FUCKING BELL?? HELLO?? JUST THROW IN SOME CONFETTI WHILE YOUR AT IT! (IM SOBBING SO LOUDLY)

But anyways, back on topic. I think they’ll use this 2D artstyle in a way to make wolfwoods death hit like a fucking train. Like… after rewatching tristamp for the second time, I couldn’t help but feeling like this whole artstyle choice is going to bite us in the ass later.

Like…y’all… I can see the fucking confetti falling in this artstyle…

Now, this last segment of this ramble is just gonna be me speaking in “what if’s” and just spewing out made up scenes based on this idea since obviously we have no clue what studio orange plans on doing. But anyways, here it goes.

So like…imagine studio orange finally adapting the couch scene, with Vash and Wolfwood having their last drink. Now obviously, the scene would prolly go similarly to the manga, with Wolfwood saying that he’s sorry for saying his smiles were empty and vash telling him to not say stupid things. Cue in the confetti beginning to fall, and in Wolfwoods perspective it shifts art style. And to make it even more fucked up, they could do the thing were it flashes between this and then back to the normal CG models; between Wolfwoods contentment of his death and being at peace with it — depicted like a children book — versus the CG — the true reality of it… the one vash is experiencing as he begs god for just one thing.

On a side note, I’m so so so fucking scared and excited for what Orange has in store, considering the fact that they’ve already paralleled the one fucking confetti frame from the manga (which I will not show cuz I cant look at those panels but if you know, you know) and like, I don’t know, I think I’m just gonna be a mess when that arc gets adapted.

Anyways, UH, I KNOW THERES PROLLY A POST THAT HAS SAID THE SAME SHIT BEFORE BUT BETTER BUT I JUST HAVE HAD IT IN MY BRAIN FOREVER SO UH YEAH!

College AU!Trigun (part 2)

Summary: You finally get to properly meet Vash after the events that transpired last night, but his last name sticks with you; could he possibly be related to the man you hate the most?

A/N: BACK WITH PART 2, FINALLY! I simply had to include platonic millyknives soulmates because, goddamit, they're a hilarious duo. Just like last time, criticism is always appreciated on this blog and I'm still working on improving my mediocre writing🫶.

You continued your morning routine normally, still in shock of everything that happened last night. Thank God it was Saturday. You needed some rest. Once you made your drink of choice, you sat down in the small kitchen space thinking about... well, everything. But you focused on one thing specifically, the last name Vash told you this morning. Saverem. Unusual and definitely not common, which is why you started thinking he could possibly be related to the one and only, your fated enemy:

Nai Saverem.

Both of you are at the top of your classes, him because he was a total antisocial incel who did nothing except study all day every day, and you, because you were a try-hard. It became a pattern eventually: on the first exam, you got more points. Then, on the next one, he got more. Then, again, on the next one, you got more and so on and so forth. It was funny really, so you saw no harm when you tried to make a joke in hopes it would start a conversation and you'd befriend him but instead you were met with a nasty scoff as he turned his head away from you in disgust. 'Maybe he's just having a bad day,' you told yourself. But boy, were you wrong. Every single time you tried to start a conversation, you were met with that exact reaction with an occasional 'Move.' or 'Keep quiet.' thrown in. You weren't the competitive type (at least not most of the time), but this whole ordeal made you into even more of a try-hard. You had to beat him in hopes he'd get down from his high horse and stop acting like a total prick. Professors, thankfully, didn't group you two together since you two were 'the best of the best' and instead you'd get grouped with the lazy students, to 'motivate' them they say but you knew very well that you'd end up doing all the work alone. Sometimes, it gets so annoying that you even wanted to switch majors, but it's too late now, and you're not gonna let some prick beat you in whatever game he's playing.

Back to the original thought, could they possibly be related in some way? Having people in the same facility with the same last name wasn't unusual, sure, but Saverem? You thought back to Meryl, surely if she was friends with Vash, she would've mentioned a brother or a cousin. Or maybe Vash wasn't aware of Nai's existence? It was too early, and you really weren't set on making up theories about a weird set of family members. All you wanted was a normal weekend. Maybe a walk in the park would let you clear your head. You let yourself soak in the morning rays of sunlight for a couple more minutes, then got ready to head outside. After making sure you took everything you needed, you set out. You hadn't eaten anything yet, but that wasn't a problem. There was a lovely bakery near the park you were heading to. You take your time walking there, enjoying the smell of fresh air and the slight brush of cold wind against your warm skin woke you up immediately, it truly was the best way to start a morning. You continue daydreaming until you can finally smell the scent of fresh pastries coming from the bakery, a small smile immediately appearing on your lips. You jog there, excited to try the pastries. As the door opens a small bell rings above your head. It was almost empty, not a lot of people your age went here because it wasn't a popular spot so you were surprised when you saw a face you didn't recognize. Well, technically, you couldn't see his face because his back was facing you, but you couldn't recognize that mess of a blond hair tied in a small ponytail. Until something clicked. The coat. The hair. It was your ex-mystery man you dragged home. You approach him and tap his shoulders, he turned around with a hum and a smile on his face.

"Can I help you?"

You stood there, frozen for a second not knowing what to say. His look grew confused as he eyed you, trying to figure out if he knew you. You then finally blurted out.

"(Y/N). As in (Y/N), the person that dragged you home last night."

He remained quiet for a second before bursting into laughter, hugging you tightly and picking you up. He sure didn't look it but man was he strong.

"Oh my God, it's you! I finally get to meet you in person- oh hold on then."

He put you down with a giggle, fixing his jacket and his hair slightly before offering you his hand politely.

"I already told you my name but, Vash Saverem. It's good that I finally get to properly meet you."

You shake his hand gently, startled by his energy. Sure it was a nice morning, but to have this much energy at 8 AM? Impressive.

"It's good to meet you too. I'm glad you're doing okay now, did Meryl come visit you?"

"Absolutely, she came running! She smacked the crap out of me because I made you worry, though. She said many things about you. Good things, of course. Hey, I'm free right now, do you wanna eat these in the park? I promised to take you out as a thanks, didn't I?"

He winked at you like a true charmer. You let him buy you a couple of cinnamon rolls, and you both walked through the park until he found a spot he seemed to like. You both sat down and began chatting. You wanted to ask about Nai... what his relation to your sworn enemy is, but the thought completely slipped your mind once Vash started talking. His voice, laced with what seemed like honey and milk, made you forget about any and all worries you had before. Meryl told you about how friendly of a person he was, but this was on a whole 'nother level. You could just sit and listen to him talk about nonsense for hours. Even when he fumbled his words, he'd find a way to make you laugh about it. And so, you did, in fact, listen to him for hours. His charisma was off the charts. By the time you two were done chatting, you already ate everything and managed to walk at least two times around the whole park. The thing that managed to snap you two out of your endless conversation was your phone ringing. Hell, you didn't even notice it until Vash himself pointed it out. You quickly picked it up and apologized, taking a few steps away from him.

"What in the world are you doing, I've been messaging you the entire morning, and you haven't answered once! You could at the very least say that you're busy, y'know!"

It was Meryl, of course. But you didn't blame her, you agreed on getting coffee with her at 10, it was now 11:42.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! But hey, I finally met Vash y'know. We've been talking for a couple hours."

You could hear her audibly gasp and begin to giggle.

"Finally! So, what do you think? He's amazing, right!? I knew you two would be great friends!"

"Yeah, yeah, I know he's amazing. But I'll get going now, I'll be there in 20 minutes okay?"

Meryl hung up, still giggling and laughing to herself. You and Vash said your goodbyes and promised to meet another time and only when he was out of sight did you remember the question you wanted to ask him. But hey, Meryl must know something so you'll just ask her.

After a long and boring walk you finally got to the cafe you two always hung out at. You came here so often that you knew all of the waiters and you even spoke to the owner once. But sitting in a chair next to Meryl was an unfamiliar face. A tall, well-built woman with long brunette hair. Despite her stature her face was nothing short of adorable. Big, bright eyes, long eyelashes, a big smile gracing her face. Meryl noticed you and waved, the brunette also excitedly waved at you as you got close to them and sat down.

"There you are! I'd scold you but since you were out with Vash, I don't mind as much."

The brunette made a surprised face and chirped into the conversation.

"They met Mr. Vash? That's wonderful! Oh and I'm Milly, Milly Thompson."

She leaned in and offered you her hand with a big grin on her face.

"It's nice to meet you Milly, Meryl told me a lot about you."

You wanted to continue the conversation but once again the thought of Nai crossed your mind and you just had to know.

"Right, Meryl. I wanted to ask you about Nai. Are him and Vash... related by any chance?"

Meryls face quickly turned sour. She clicked her tongue, turning away. Before she got the chance to speak, Milly chimed in with a smile so bright, it could light up a damn cave.

"Mr. Vash and Mr. Nai are twins! I was very surprised when Mr. Nai told me, they're very different afterall..."

"Wait, hold on, Nai? You... you talk to him?"

Milly looked at you, confusion evident on her face.

"Of course I do. We talk very often since we go to the same gym, he's the reason I managed to get my body to where I am now! He's full of tips and tricks and man, the meals he makes are amazing and they're extremely nutritionally valuable."

You were just sitting there, confused. The very last person you expected to be friends with Nai was such an angel, how in the world did they get along? You were nice to him just like she was but instead of becoming friends like them he acted like you took the last cookie in his jar. Was it... your fault afterall? You tried thinking, remembering anything where you could've messed up and offended him somehow. You always mouthed a small 'Hi' when you saw him in the hallways, you offered to help him many times but he always refused. You came to a conclusion that he was an ass afterall and Milly was simply too nice for her own good that even the great Knives didn't want to be mean to her. But hey, you could use this opportunity to your advantage: there was a chance he opened up to her about something, anything, something embarrassing or some really stupid hobby he has, and you. You could take advantage of that. You could make fun of him for it.

"Right, right, that's nice. Tell me, when he's not at the gym, what does he do? Like... does he have any hobbies? Does he... collect anything?"

"Mr. Knives? He likes to play his synthesizer."

Shit. If it was crocheting, you could make fun of him for acting like a grandma. If he was into collecting Pokémon cards, you could make fun of him for being childish. But no, of course not, he just had to have a good hobby and he most likely made some gorgeous tunes with it. With every passing second, you could stand him less and less. He was just so... irritating! Everything about him was irritating. The way he looked at everyone like they were below him, the way he spoke to people like he was more important than them when he's just like everyone at the end of the day. It was all bullshit. But you knew getting closer to this little friend group would mean you got to know more about Nai and how you can exact your revenge on thy arch nemesis.

Vash too.

Vash especially.

And Vash liked you.

It's like in that moment something clicked. If you were in a cartoon, a small light bulb would've lit above your head. If you befriended Vash, he was bound to tell you something embarrassing about Nai, it's a brothers natural instinct. And then maybe, just maybe you could make the dickhead see that he's not all high and mighty afterall.

Meryl and Milly stare at you for a good minute before Milly leans towards Meryl, whispering.

"Are... are they okay? They've been in that exact same pose without saying anything for quite some time-"

"They're up to something. They'll snap out of it eventually just let them be for a little longer."

Milly nodded and leaned back, sipping on her coffee. It's then that like nothing ever happened, you scooted closer to Milly grabbing and cupping her hands dramatically.

"Milly, you are such a wonderful person y'know that? Meryl is so lucky to have you as a friend!"

You then turned to Meryl with the biggest shit-eating grin she's ever seen.

"Actually, your whole friend group must be amazing, I simply HAVE to meet them! We definitely need to organize some kind of meet up, I cannot wait!"

It's time for you to make some new friends.

Trigun Thoughts Vol. 2 Pt. 2

This is actually just miscellaneous reactions I had while reading that I don't want to clog the tag with. Hope it's at least a little funny.

Not for long I bet... (look at them. so squishy...)

Oof. I um. Hm. This means something, I just can't place it right now.

I adore how perceptive Milly is. I just adore her in general. Actually there's something to be said about Milly as the observer in this series. Meryl is knocked out for much of the ensuing fight against Monev but Milly witnesses all of it. She's also frequently the first to look out a window or to notice things in her environment. Hm. Really interesting.

Knives' face being shadowed is so so good. It's similar to my commentary in Stampede about how the camera doesn't really focus on young Nai in the early flashbacks so you don't see his face a lot at first.

Vash's awkward smile. Meryl immediately trying to backtrack. I am experiencing secondhand embarrassment. Girl. Please.

He looks like a jojo character. Actually, I'm super intrigued by Legato. He's really interesting. I wish to study him under a microscope. (Every time someone mentions "blue hair" my brain automatically finishes it with "and pronouns" sjfhbdfh)

He's so cute. He wants your money.

This entire scene is so sweet, what the heck???

Ooh! About the whole "it was the first time he called me by my name" part, it actually wasn't! Vash said her name during the Monev fight but because Meryl was unconscious, she didn't hear it! I think, given how avoidant Vash is, it says a lot that he went from not referring to most people by name to singling out Meryl and Milly and telling them to run because, like it or not, they as individuals (beyond being members of humanity he swore to protect) have become personally important to him.

Did. Did Legato just get squished???

I have a few thoughts regarding Wolfwood watching all of that happen... but I kind of want to wait for a bit before I comment on it.

The fifth moon thing was incredibly disturbing in the way it played out... Knives' genuine sorrow at seeing that Vash has more scars. Vash rightfully calling him out for hurting him more. Knives immediately switching to blaming Vash for July and implying that he fucking shoot himself if he wants someone to pay what the fuck. Vash showing clear signs of trauma (freezing, loss of memory, panic, anger). Knives grabbing his face and restraining him while forcing his arm to transform. Everyone else trying desperately to get away. Vash crying and having no clue what is happening to his own body. Holy fuck. This is downright horrific.

Uhhh. On to Trimax I guess. I'm sure things can only get better...

Okay so maybe I kinda spoiled myself probably not really, since the beginning I’ve had the question (that the reader is obviously supposed to have) of why does Vash have such a big bounty on his head, but I saw someone say that he’s the Jesus character of Trigun and like. okay question answered I know enough about Christianity to fill in the blanks here, anyways with that it mind it’s really interesting to see how Vash mentions that his goal is to send Knives to hell

Even though I rarely read manga digitally anymore, I feel so spoiled with how much manga is published online nowadays. These very obvious scans of paper volumes is so much harder to read, I’m sounding out like half the words I read

You know that chapter of Kino’s Journey (okay I know you don’t bear with me here) where Kino goes to that country where everyone is obsessed with this one guy’s painting of tanks and they’re all like “it says so much about war and society” and then Kino meets the painter and he’s all like “nah I just think tanks are really cool”. Yeah that painter is Nightow

Which is more elegant, this girl’s dress of Vash’s coat tails?

Has Vash always worn an earring? Have I just never noticed? I see but don’t look? How coquette

The interspersed English that Nightow uses always adds a bit of humor. I’m not even a translator but sometimes I think about what I would do with those bits. Would I keep it to make extra work? Would I translate it into a different language that’s more commonly understood than Japanese but not English (such as Spanish)? Translations are weird man....

Vash has the best pouting face of all time

Okay sorry I said a lot in that chapter but I don’t think any of it was serious. Not that that was a very important chapter anyways, other than the bits of world building we got at the very beginning

Volume three! Ch 14. Omg I see that big cross in the cover. Do we get to meet Nicholas Wolfwood himself? God I hope I’m right and he’s the one with the cross because I’m blasting this post for the Trigun Scholars to see. Blease be kind I know so little

Seems like this volume or at least this chapter is going to be a lot of Vash vs Kaiba

So we’re seeing Rem’s death scene and how it displays her love for humanity, sacrificing herself to save some, even if she can’t save everyone. And seeing that Knives has been a bit fucked from the beginning huh. And why Vash hates him so much (cue Losing My Religion by REM playing in the back)

Vash is typically painted as an angelic type of character (thinking back to chapter nine[?] with the angel/plant they met on the sand steam) so having him depicted more as a devil character is really interesting. They even called this his true nature, although that could just be this villain character giving him shit. I’m excited to see how Vash’s character is fleshed out in future volumes and how these seemingly two sides of him create a whole

Ch 15. I don’t know (yet?) if Knives’ plan was to kill Rem along with a bunch of humans but damn. backfiredddd

So this spirit/angel urging Vash not to kill must be Rem right? Since he said that if he kills here, she’ll be gone for real? I’m taking this to be more of Vash’s memory of her and not a literal angel or spirit

Ch 16. I was totally about to rag on them for having all this insane technology and Meryl still having to use a typewriter but then I remembered that this series is from what. the 80s? Earlier? Honestly who could’ve imagined the technology we’d have in just twenty years from then, it’s insane.

Oh that’s cool! Vash is called “Humanoid Typhoon” right? It’s usually written as 「人間台風」which literally translates to human typhoon but at the beginning of this chapter, Meryl calls him 「人間災害」with furigana instructing the reader to read it as “humanoid typhoon” (same as with the other times), however this translates to “human disaster” rather than typhoon

One coin part down, eleven to go...

We’ve finally officially established that Vash has a prosthetic arm, I was wondering when that was gonna happen

First of all what is Vash carrying with him second of all holy shit that panel of the person(?) nailed on the cross

That thing was set up specifically for him? Is this another one of the twelve assassins? I feel like I’m gonna get bored of this set up real quick if it continues on like this

Wolfwood speaks in Kansaiben???? Help I’m falling in love it’s my one weakness in this world

I’ve decided that I never want to see Wolfwood written in katakana ever again.

Wolfwood just needs to say あかん and ホンマ and I’m already head over heels

I really like Wolfwood and I promise it’s more than just the Kansaiben! I love how nice he is and he seems to be able to read people pretty well and also he’s kind of a dork. But the Kansaiben helps too

Ch 19. Omg the one guy who I was immediately like 🫵 yaoi proportions ended up being Hornfreak. Yep that’s just how it is

Guy who only reads shoujo manga: I’m getting a lot of shoujo manga vibes from this (no but really, there’s a bunch of artistic choices in Trigun that I mostly associate with shoujo manga, but I think it has more to do with the age of the manga. Probably Ikeda Riyoko’s influence)

Knives is such an overdramatic bitch, I love that

Angel Vash! The inherent danger of the divine! Although a god can be kind it can also be cruel! Power can be used in many ways and thus is its danger!

We’ve finally established that Vash and this power that Knives brings out of him is the reason why July Town was destroyed. This is probably also the reason why he’s got such a high price on his head

Also really enjoying the implications that these human forms aren’t Vash’s and Knives’ “true” bodies

Extra chapter. Thank god he didn’t shoot the egg oh my god. The irony of consistently taking the lord’s name in vain so much here (term used ironically but also because what else can I say) while reading Nightow’s bible fanfiction just now hit me

I admit it, I totally skimmed that. In my defense, it’s past midnight.

Final thoughts: Having officially finished up the original trilogy, that was pretty damn good! The ending was great (yes, I know there’s much more to go) and quite bittersweet. The pace really picked up for me in this last volume. My only main issue was just friction between me and the genre, which is no one’s fault but my own. I could definitely do for less action scenes, but again, my favorite genre is the “nothing happens” genre. I’m really excited to see where Trigun Maximum takes the series, especially in the ways that these angels/plants are developed. I’m also excited to see more of Knives and Wolfwood and especially how they both interact with Vash, since they obviously have extremely different perceptions of him. I’m not quite sure where the plot is going to go from here, since it seems like Vash took Knives along with him in his disappearance, but I’ll follow Nightow wherever he leads us in this series. What I’m not looking forward to is having to read more of Nightow’s handwriting. God. Even so, somehow it’s still not the worst I’ve seen from mangaka. Oh, also, there was significantly less of that black cat than I expected. I’ll just assume it comes back in Maximum. And (sorry these thoughts are so unordered) wow the art was so stunning, especially there at the end, that I definitely have half a mind to pick up the physicals for my personal collection. Especially with a fanbase revival due to Trigun Stampede, I’d be more shocked if it’s out of print than if it isn’t. Oh and one more thing, we went through three of the twelve coin assassins. Does that mean that we’re going to go through the other nine in Maximum? Also, I’m not quite clear on why Vash has to collect the coin fragments like this is Dragon Ball (disclaimer: never seen or read any of the dragon ball franchise). Was mystical object collection just a trend back then? What’s going to happen, or supposed to, when Vash gets them all? Hopefully this will become clear as the series continues.

So obvious I'd like a trigun match up (any type/timeline is fine) and possibly headcanons!

I am a adult male and I have albinism. I have purple/pink eyes, white really messy hair and pale skin. I am the holder of adhd and autism and love to collect random trinkets like rocks, feathers or just like a fistfull of moss and keep it. -genuinely kinda amazed how much the 98 anime rearranges and spreads outs the manga chapters into episodes, and use specific moments ngl. like ofc the anime has filler, i love it for that, but wow?? i still really like how it's structured for both 98 anime and manga???

-aww meryl being in denial that vash is vash the stampede is only an 98 anime thing but oh!!! i love it so much!!!

-it's interesting that it still takes a while to uncover that vash isn't human in it. you haver zero clue for the first half, until the sand steamer arc, where you see angel wings on his shoulder, and him calling the planet 'sister'... which i'm pretty sure the 98 anime cut, certainly the angelic imagery, tho i think you do see him talk to some plants and just... yeah, you wonder what the connection is there.

New Paracosm AU: Big Hero Beau

@decaykid yes, kind of...

Okay, like I said in my last post this idea came to me after listening to Fist Pump and Viva Namida on loop with pacing.

So you know like how the original Humble Pie paracosm is very western horror kind of drama, yeah? well, this paracosm is just full on ANIME BBY!!! I'm talking Space Dandy, I'm talkin' Gurren Lagann, I'm talkin maybe a little bit of Trigun, and also takes alot from action rpgs like Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, Persona, Viewitful Joe, and Wonderful 101 (but its like only two people), and takes alot from Sonic the hedgehog (mostly Sonic Underground, Sonic Adventure 2, and Sonic Forces), and little bit from Fancy Pants ( that's not an anime or a "real" video game, its just an old flash game I used to hyperfixate on).

This paracosm is completely different which is why I gave it, it's own name instead of just adjective then "!"

This version of Beau takes a lot of inspiration from Dandy ( Space Dandy), Vash The Stampede (Trigun), Sonic The Hedgehog (Sonic The Hedgehog), and Kamina (Gurren Langann)

In this paracosm, both of Beau's parents perished in a tragic accident, Beau takes his siblings to an abandoned shack and they hide out and live out there. the tragedy this motivative Beau to become stronger and a hero, not only to keep his siblings safe but others too. The last thing his mom told him was that his smile could save a thousand lives, so because of that he always keeps an upbeat, go get 'em attitude, and he doesn't want to bum his younger siblings out. His mom also gave Beau her heart shape locket before she passed on, so Beau has worn it ever since that day.

The locket is very precious to him, he doesn't let anyone touch it (other than his siblings), and if he loses it he'll go into a panic attack and can't do anything else until he finds it again.

Dev, Beau's little brother, also wants to be strong and a hero, he tries to train like his brother but he can't keep up. Beau tells Dev that he has to be strong in his own way, so Dev decides to put his tech skills to good use and make his older brother cool weapons for him to use. I forgot to mention in this paracosm some people are born with superpowers and such, and Beau's superpowers are super strength and speed, while Dev's superpower is super intelligence.

Dev can't keep up with his brother on foot, so he made himself a jetpack to keep up, and makes science weapons for himself to use.

In this paracosm, there are evil robots, pirates, bandits, ninjas, demons, fallen angels, giant spiders, bad guys who kidnap pretty people, any enemy you would find in a video game or anime yeah it's probably here. So, there's always something for Beau and Dev to fight or someone to save from something.

Beau and Dev don't have secret identities since superpowered people are common but they get to have a pretty rad transformation scene activate when they fist bump each other.

Beau fighting style is similar to that of a hack and slack fighting game, Beau mostly use his fists to fight and his speed, he'll also use guns too, but he'll only use swords if he thinks he can pull off a cool move, since not really experience using them that much. Dev made Beau special gloves and boots that make the attack range of his hit larger so its easier to take out hoards of stuff like robots (which happens lot) and big enemies like giant monsters.

His boots are also guns so its like....

Oh, and Beau also makes sure that he always looks cool when fighting just in case someone takes a pic (which happens alot). Unlike Bayonetta, Beau is more playful with his posing rather than sexy.

Dev's wits come in handy when the two come across puzzles, riddles, or finding a way out of traps on their adventures since Beau didn't complete school once his parents passed and mostly focus on raising his siblings and hero training.

Much like Sonic, Beau is very snarky and witty while fighting his enemies (or at least tries to be), he always tries to make a snarky comment or a really cool zinger before finishing off his enemy. Due to his kind of being not the sharpest tool in the shed, it can take a while for him to come up with a good zinger, so it kind of stalls fights, and sometimes it gets to the point where the enemy is just like "Oh my GOD! just KILL ME!", this also annoys and embarrasses Dev too at times.

Beau makes money from bounties and doing odd jobs around, he makes enough for his siblings to live comfortably, but there are times where he'll go hungry because he only has enough for Dev and Carrie to eat. Beau is still a kind of a lower-level hero compare to the other well know ones around.

Dev has also made a rocket ship so they can fight intergalactically on other planets

Carrie in this paracosm is still 4 years old, she has yet to show any signs of having powers, which is pretty normal for her age since people in this world don't show powers until they hit their pre-teen years.

Beau will take Carrie on their adventures if it's safe enough, but if the mission is too dangerous Beau will take her to the nearest daycare or the nearest trustworthy femme person. Beau will try to make the mission or fight end quickly as possible if he left Carrie with a stranger, there's a sigh of relief once he finds her safe, if not (which doesn't happen a lot thankfully), well somebody gonna die and Beau tries to make it up to her by spending the next few days with her, just him and Carrie.

Beau tries to put being a good guardian/older brother before being a hero and tries his best to spend as much time with Carrie and Dev as possible on chiller/lower stakes days.

Beau had never had time to really process the feeling of losing his parents, there are days where he feels down but he never lets it show around his siblings or have it affect his hero work. There are nights where those memories keep him up, sometimes he'll cry but still try to smile thru the tears.

Beau likes to give peps talks to himself in the mirror, and pep talks to Dev, when he's feeling discouraged, although most of the time those pep talks don't really make any sense Dev still appreciate his brother's kind words.

Since Beau saves people, he interacts a lot with damsels in distress, he flirts with them, but usually gets rejected for coming across as too cheesy or cocky. He doesn't really mind it tho, he actually finds it funny, but when a lady actually flirts back he gets really flustered and has to leave immediately. Despite this Beau still tries to give Dev advice on talking to girls.

Beau still smokes and drinks because the stress of having to raise young siblings, dealing with trauma, and being a hero can be alot, but he still makes sure his siblings don't see him and he doesn't get too wasted.

Other than hero stuff, Hero! Beau enjoys reading comics, parkour, skateboarding, break dancing (which he incorporates in his fighting for some really cool finishers), practicing cool poses and phrases, playing video games with his little brother, and watching barbie movies with his little sisters (since Barbie reminds him of his mom).

Oof, I think that's all I got for now....

TL;DL Basically if this version of Beau is Sonic the original Beau is more like Shadow if that makes any sense.
